- 0:03Speaker 3: Matthew McConaughey has done a new interview talking about the
- 0:06Speaker 3: time he fled fame and like was going to start
- 0:09Speaker 3: this new life in Peru. So, if you didn't know,
- 0:12Speaker 3: Matthew McConaughey rose to fame in the nineties when he
- 0:14Speaker 3: was quite young. His first movie, his breakout role was
- 0:17Speaker 3: Dazed in Commit Love.
- 0:18Speaker 2: That movie.
- 0:21Speaker 3: I didn't realize it's his old rattle rad or right
- 0:23Speaker 3: has dated all the way back to there. So anyway,
- 0:26Speaker 3: he was on the No Magic Pill podcast and he
- 0:28Speaker 3: explained the yeah, he went to Peru, had a new
- 0:30Speaker 3: name and just wanted to be a person and not
- 0:32Speaker 3: a celebrity.
- 0:33Speaker 2: After you, when you get famous, what happened? There's a
- 0:35Speaker 2: few sort of just salutations that are skipped. Yeah, yeah, obviously,
- 0:39Speaker 2: what's your name?
- 0:40Speaker 1: What do you do?
- 0:42Speaker 2: Right? So I needed to do. What did happen was
- 0:44Speaker 2: meet people that knew me as Matteo. And at the
- 0:47Speaker 2: end of twenty two days, the tears in their eyes
- 0:49Speaker 2: and the tears in my eyes and the hugs we
- 0:52Speaker 2: had on the sadness and happiness of saying goodbye were
- 0:55Speaker 2: all based off of the man they met named Matteo. Yes,
- 1:00Speaker 2: had nothing to do with the celebrity and the experience
- 1:02Speaker 2: in times that we had together for twenty two days.
- 1:05Speaker 1: I love these says that there's a few salutations again me,
- 1:09Speaker 1: I don't know what that would was. Salutations. It means
- 1:11Speaker 1: they're greetings, right, and that sounds like it's the dating apps.
- 1:15Speaker 1: All the salutations get missed. It's straight to the dps
- 1:18Speaker 1: and that is that what you're getting. Yeah, people, there's
- 1:22Speaker 1: no kind of so what do you do? It's just
- 1:25Speaker 1: straight to the famous.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Well not maybe how many how many dick pics of
- 1:31Speaker 3: are you receiving on these dating apps?
- 1:32Speaker 1: Do you know what? I haven't had one in a while.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Oh do you want one? No? I'm fine. I'm definitely
- 1:37Speaker 1: not from you.
- 1:37Speaker 2: You offering?
- 1:38Speaker 1: Geez, it's not even seven o'clock now, Pete.
- 1:46Speaker 2: No one wants that.
- 1:47Speaker 1: No, please no. But isn't that funny how the dating work.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I sound such a boomer when I say that, But
- 1:51Speaker 1: like it's so weird how it'll be four texts in
- 1:55Speaker 1: and it's straight into what they want to do.
- 1:58Speaker 3: And they're not leading like you're down the garden path.
- 2:01Speaker 3: They're just up front.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I do appreciate their honesty. I do, I do. I'm
- 2:05Speaker 1: like and let me tell you, there have been times
- 2:06Speaker 1: when I have taken them up on that very transactional operation.
- 2:11Speaker 3: With it because the girl has needs.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Girl's got to eat.
- 2:14Speaker 2: But you're looking for a relationship, right or not?
- 2:17Speaker 1: I think I am, yeah, because I feel like I'm
- 2:20Speaker 1: I feel like I'm ready. Oh God, that sounds so sad,
- 2:22Speaker 1: doesn't it. I feel like I'm ready, but I know
- 2:25Speaker 1: who I am. I'm not now, it's sound Oprah, But
- 2:27Speaker 1: I feel like I am ready.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Now.
- 2:28Speaker 1: When was your last long term relationship?
- 2:30Speaker 3: Oh?
- 2:31Speaker 1: My god? About four or five years ago?
- 2:34Speaker 3: How long did was that one? For?
- 2:35Speaker 1: About four years?
- 2:36Speaker 3: Okay?
- 2:36Speaker 1: And you know what, I was a stepmom in that situation,
- 2:39Speaker 1: and I really miss her. Talk about that a lot.
- 2:42Speaker 3: They don't have to break up with the children as well.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I don't miss him, of course, but but I miss her.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Can you talk to her?
- 2:49Speaker 2: Well?
- 2:49Speaker 1: I know I can't. I've reached out to the to
- 2:52Speaker 1: the ex, his ex, and she just said, I think
- 2:55Speaker 1: it'll confuse her. Let's not.
- 2:56Speaker 3: I understand that, but I get it. Yeah, it's sad
- 2:59Speaker 3: for the kids because they bond with you as well.
- 3:01Speaker 3: And then they just have to accept, Oh, this was
- 3:03Speaker 3: no control of mine. I have nothing to do with
- 3:05Speaker 3: this person ever.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Again, I know, and I hate the fact that she
- 3:07Speaker 1: thinks I might have abandoned her because she has three
- 3:10Speaker 1: when I met her, and she was seven when I left,
- 3:14Speaker 1: And so I've kept a lot of her on my
- 3:16Speaker 1: social media. I've cropped him out though, so weird. I
- 3:21Speaker 1: had to, right. She could be listening to you on
- 3:23Speaker 1: kiss right now. That's a way of her her.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Well.
- 3:25Speaker 1: The thing is I want I want when she's old
- 3:27Speaker 1: enough to contact me, hopefully in the future. I want
- 3:30Speaker 1: to be able to go, look how important you are
- 3:31Speaker 1: in my life. I loved you, I genuinely loved you,
- 3:33Speaker 1: and I miss you. I've still got pictures of her
- 3:36Speaker 1: on my fridge. I'm getting emotional. That's the hormones.
