- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the program. A
- 0:04Speaker 1: woman named Shanquilla Robinson traveled to Cabo with six other friends. However,
- 0:10Speaker 1: she never returned from the trip. According to her friends,
- 0:14Speaker 1: she had alcohol poisoning. However, it has been revealed that
- 0:18Speaker 1: something much more devious has occurred, as a video has
- 0:23Speaker 1: been making the rounds online showing, allegedly... This woman, Shanquilla Robinson,
- 0:30Speaker 1: being beaten by one of her friends while a male accomplice,
- 0:34Speaker 1: a male friend, is standing by videoing and telling her
- 0:37Speaker 1: to fight back and cheering it on. And to tell
- 0:40Speaker 1: you the truth, it is pretty disturbing to think about. Now,
- 0:44Speaker 1: I'm not going to watch that video because I have
- 0:46Speaker 1: no desire to see that sort of thing. But man,
- 0:48Speaker 1: oh man, what is wrong with people? You go on
- 0:52Speaker 1: vacation with your friends. Somebody's birthday, think everybody's going to celebrate,
- 0:57Speaker 1: only to end up getting beat to death by one
- 0:59Speaker 1: of the people you went with? So let's get into
- 1:03Speaker 1: this article and let's try and figure out what's going
- 1:05Speaker 1: on here. Headline, Nightmare Trip. Horrifying video of Shamuela Robinson
- 1:11Speaker 1: being beaten emerges as her dad breaks silence on her
- 1:15Speaker 1: mystery death in Mexico. This article was authored by Anthony
- 1:20Speaker 1: Blair and it was published by the U.S. Sun. Shanquilla Robinson, 25,
- 1:28Speaker 1: from Charlotte, North Carolina, was found dead by doctors in
- 1:31Speaker 1: a villa in Mexico after traveling to celebrate a friend's
- 1:34Speaker 1: birthday on October 29th. Now, how in the hell, if
- 1:39Speaker 1: you're a friend of this woman, are you going to
- 1:41Speaker 1: leave her in this villa and just go back to
- 1:45Speaker 1: the States because that's what they did? and then let
- 1:48Speaker 1: some strangers find her, a doctor and someone else? And
- 1:51Speaker 1: then you're going to think that people aren't going to
- 1:52Speaker 1: have questions? Especially with this video out there? The people
- 1:56Speaker 1: who were with her, all of her friends, should all
- 1:58Speaker 1: be arrested right now. One pal rang Shanquela's parents to
- 2:05Speaker 1: say she had alcohol poisoning and was sick before a
- 2:07Speaker 1: doctor showed up to attempt to revive her. But an
- 2:11Speaker 1: autopsy report obtained by her family indicates that her neck
- 2:14Speaker 1: was broken. Now, a sickening video has appeared, seeming to
- 2:18Speaker 1: show a naked Chanquilla being attacked in the villa in
- 2:21Speaker 1: Cabo by one of her female friends, while a male
- 2:24Speaker 1: acquaintance films the assault. Now imagine being a parent or
- 2:28Speaker 1: someone who knows her, and this video is out there.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Talk about the indignity of it all. And that's another
- 2:35Speaker 1: reason why I don't ever watch these kinds of videos.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I just, I have no stomach for it. As I
- 2:39Speaker 1: get older, I just don't have the stomach for that
- 2:41Speaker 1: kind of thing. And the more we talk about these stories,
- 2:44Speaker 1: the more disgusted it makes me. It has not been
- 2:47Speaker 1: possible to verify at this time when or where the
- 2:50Speaker 1: video in question was recorded. However, according to her family,
- 2:55Speaker 1: the recent video making the rounds on the internet and
- 2:57Speaker 1: social media allegedly does show Robinson being beaten inside a
- 3:02Speaker 1: hotel room. So again, imagine being in the family and
- 3:06Speaker 1: you get told, hey, my daughter, you know, she had
- 3:09Speaker 1: alcohol poisoning only to find out that she had a
- 3:12Speaker 1: broken neck. And then this video pops up. These people
- 3:15Speaker 1: should have been arrested the day this video showed up.
- 3:17Speaker 1: You mean to tell me the investigators don't have this video?
- 3:21Speaker 1: What more do you need to make an arrest here?
- 3:25Speaker 1: The family have now reached out to the FBI Charlotte
- 3:27Speaker 1: office for help. So far, there is no confirmation from
- 3:31Speaker 1: authorities that Shankwella suffered any fatal injuries during the alleged fight. So,
- 3:37Speaker 1: wait a minute. She has a fight, it's caught on video,
- 3:40Speaker 1: and then she dies from a broken neck, but let's
- 3:42Speaker 1: hold our horses here? Well, what do you think it was?
- 3:49Speaker 1: In a statement to WBTV, the Bureau said it was
- 3:52Speaker 1: aware of the videos circulating online and urged anyone with
- 3:56Speaker 1: related photos or video to contact the FBI. You would
- 3:59Speaker 1: think that the FBI would be contacting the friends here
- 4:02Speaker 1: and bringing them all in for a nice little chat.
- 4:05Speaker 1: If somebody dies and the friends call and say, oh,
- 4:08Speaker 1: it was alcohol poisoning, and then I find out that
- 4:10Speaker 1: my kid actually died from a broken neck and there's
- 4:13Speaker 1: a video of her having a fight with somebody, yeah,
- 4:16Speaker 1: I'm going to have some questions. In the clip, a
- 4:19Speaker 1: man's voice is heard off camera, taunting Shankwella, saying, Can
- 4:22Speaker 1: you at least fight back? Oh, what a real tough guy, huh?
- 4:25Speaker 1: I'd love to meet the guy holding the camera, and
- 4:27Speaker 1: then I'd love to ask him the same thing as
- 4:29Speaker 1: he's getting boot stomped. She tries to get away from
- 4:33Speaker 1: her attacker and replies no before the woman slams her
- 4:36Speaker 1: to the floor next to the bed. The woman then
- 4:39Speaker 1: punches and knees the stricken Shankwella in the head, yelling
- 4:41Speaker 1: at her to get up. I'm tired of this shit. So,
- 4:45Speaker 1: what kind of friends are these anyway? First of all,
- 4:48Speaker 1: I know most of you out there have had friends
- 4:49Speaker 1: that are really close to you and probably had a
- 4:52Speaker 1: couple of fights or whatever. But have you ever wanted
- 4:54Speaker 1: to hurt one of your friends, really? And as a
- 4:57Speaker 1: friend who has been around, when other friends have gotten
- 4:59Speaker 1: into a fight, who lets it progress? Who lets their
- 5:03Speaker 1: friends have a fight in the first place? Unless, of course,
- 5:05Speaker 1: this whole entire scenario was set up so this could
- 5:08Speaker 1: go down. Now, obviously, I don't have that information. I
- 5:13Speaker 1: don't have any information about this case, but what we're
- 5:15Speaker 1: reading here. But could this group of friends have set
- 5:18Speaker 1: this up, brought her down here, so that they could
- 5:20Speaker 1: have this fight and handle whatever beef they had? Who
- 5:23Speaker 1: the hell knows? But what we do know is that
- 5:25Speaker 1: this video shows some pretty disgusting behavior. And behavior that
- 5:29Speaker 1: is obviously illegal, considering somebody's dead. Shanquilla's father, Bernard Robinson,
- 5:37Speaker 1: said his daughter flew to Cabo on the southern tip
- 5:40Speaker 1: of Baja, California on October 28th. She was found dead
- 5:44Speaker 1: a day later with her friends flying back and telling
- 5:46Speaker 1: Bernard and his wife that their daughter had died from
- 5:49Speaker 1: alcohol poisoning. Hold on. What sort of friends leave? The
- 5:54Speaker 1: kind of friends that beat you to death, maybe, but
- 5:56Speaker 1: not regular friends. If you had a friend, let me
- 5:58Speaker 1: ask you, if you had a friend and you were
- 6:00Speaker 1: on vacation and your friend had so-called alcohol poisoning, would
- 6:04Speaker 1: you be getting on a plane and leaving your friend
- 6:06Speaker 1: in a foreign country? Zero chance. There is nothing that
- 6:10Speaker 1: would drag me away from one of my friends if
- 6:12Speaker 1: they were in that position. But yet all of these
- 6:15Speaker 1: people leave, huh? Yeah, I'm starting to get myself a
- 6:18Speaker 1: few ideas about what went down here, folks. A representative
- 6:24Speaker 1: for Villa Linda 32, the property where the group was staying,
- 6:27Speaker 1: told WJZY that the concierge had rung for a doctor
- 6:32Speaker 1: who tried to revive Shankwella. She was declared dead at
- 6:35Speaker 1: 3 p.m. local time, reportedly just 15 minutes after suffering
- 6:39Speaker 1: her injuries. Although it hasn't been determined if these were
- 6:42Speaker 1: direct results of the sustained or sustained in the fight.
- 6:46Speaker 1: I mean, come on. You don't have to be Dr.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Michael Bodden here to put this together. Somebody gets into
- 6:53Speaker 1: a fight, and then directly after that fight, they die? Now,
- 6:56Speaker 1: maybe she had some kind of underlying medical conditions, but
- 6:59Speaker 1: that don't explain the broken neck. Her grieving family claim
- 7:06Speaker 1: they were told by Mexican authorities that Shankuela had died
- 7:09Speaker 1: from alcohol poisoning. However, a copy of her autopsy report
- 7:13Speaker 1: obtained by Shankuela's mother, Salamandra, indicated that her neck had
- 7:17Speaker 1: been broken and that the cause of death was severe
- 7:20Speaker 1: spinal cord injury. It was never a fight. She didn't fight.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Salamandra said they attacked her. And that's important too, right? Look,
- 7:28Speaker 1: she didn't fight back. According to this video, she didn't
- 7:31Speaker 1: fight back. She was attacked. And when they said, you know,
- 7:33Speaker 1: the guy in the video says, are you going to
- 7:35Speaker 1: fight back? She didn't. So how is this alcohol poisoning?
- 7:40Speaker 1: I would love to see how they came to that conclusion.
- 7:44Speaker 1: She said that her daughter was a hardworking business owner
- 7:47Speaker 1: and that she was excited to go on holiday in Cabo.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I looked at some of her posts that she had
- 7:51Speaker 1: put up, she said. She was really having a nice time.
- 7:54Speaker 1: And I don't know where it went wrong from there.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Who knows, right? I have no idea. But again, could
- 8:01Speaker 1: this have been something that has been building? And then
- 8:04Speaker 1: down on this vacation, everything came to a head? Who knows, man.
- 8:07Speaker 1: There's a lot here and a lot that the family
- 8:10Speaker 1: needs to know. Because alcohol poisoning? Zero chance I believe that.
- 8:17Speaker 1: WJZY reported that her death certificate made no mention of
- 8:21Speaker 1: alcohol intoxication, but only said that she was found unconscious
- 8:24Speaker 1: in her living room. The certificate also didn't specify whether
- 8:28Speaker 1: her death was accidental or violent. None of the group
- 8:33Speaker 1: who stayed with Shanquilla have been charged with a crime. Wow,
- 8:37Speaker 1: that's wild. Can you imagine if this was your family
- 8:40Speaker 1: or your friend who was left dead while all these
- 8:43Speaker 1: other people just took off? Oh yeah, the doctor's on
- 8:45Speaker 1: its way. Not like somebody, you know, I broke my arm.
- 8:48Speaker 1: I know you got to get back to work, man.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You're cool. Go ahead. I'll catch the flight when I'm
- 8:51Speaker 1: ready to go. That's not what this was. Your alleged
- 8:54Speaker 1: friend is laying dead and you're bouncing, getting on a plane,
- 8:57Speaker 1: heading back home. Shankuela's body was flown back to Charlotte
- 9:03Speaker 1: last Thursday and her funeral service will be held on Saturday.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Her devastated father said, all I've been doing is crying,
- 9:10Speaker 1: trying to figure out what happened. I can't even be
- 9:13Speaker 1: a grandfather. Can't even walk her down the aisle. She's gone.
- 9:17Speaker 1: He told WSOC TV, it's like a nightmare. I can't
- 9:20Speaker 1: even sleep. I'm just frustrated. And I can understand that.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Your daughter goes on this vacation, you know, thinks she's
- 9:27Speaker 1: going to have the time of her life, having fun,
- 9:29Speaker 1: and next thing you know, you get a phone call, oh,
- 9:31Speaker 1: she died of alcohol poisoning? And I have to question
- 9:36Speaker 1: that just in general. How much alcohol do you have
- 9:39Speaker 1: to drink to die of alcohol poisoning? Has to be
- 9:41Speaker 1: quite a bit. I know I've been absolutely loaded. And
- 9:45Speaker 1: besides having a hangover, you know, Not too much worse
- 9:48Speaker 1: for wear. Now, that doesn't mean people don't get alcohol poisoning.
- 9:51Speaker 1: They most certainly do. But is she the kind of
- 9:54Speaker 1: person who would binge drink like that? I guess that's
- 9:57Speaker 1: something that will have to be answered as we learn more.
- 10:00Speaker 1: about her. One thing's for damn sure, as far as
- 10:02Speaker 1: I'm concerned, though. Whoever she had this fight with and
- 10:06Speaker 1: whoever's there cheering it on and telling her to fight back,
- 10:08Speaker 1: they need to be brought in for questioning and not tomorrow,
- 10:12Speaker 1: not next week. They need to be brought into questioning
- 10:15Speaker 1: today because her family, they deserve answers. And Shankwella, well,
- 10:20Speaker 1: she deserves justice. All right, folks, that's going to do
- 10:24Speaker 1: it for this one. If you'd like to contact me,
