- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York marks them upon seven to ten WR.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Well, we'll get to Mom, Donnie and more coming up
- 0:14Speaker 2: this hour. Leticia James, who's facing serious criminal charges James Comy,
- 0:20Speaker 2: facing serious criminal charges, are now in court trying to
- 0:25Speaker 2: get the US attorney disqualified. Lawyers for Comy and Leticia
- 0:30Speaker 2: James are arguing today the criminal cases against them should
- 0:34Speaker 2: be tossed because President Trump's hand picked prosecutor is illegitimate. Illegitimate,
- 0:41Speaker 2: they say, Now, of course, this makes absolutely no sense.
- 0:45Speaker 2: They're claiming they've been targeted by Trump because of their
- 0:48Speaker 2: past investigations into Trump. Well they're claiming, So that's not
- 0:53Speaker 2: going to work. If they're claiming they've been targeted because
- 0:57Speaker 2: they targeted him, that doesn't hold up, doesn't pass the
- 1:02Speaker 2: Laft test. They both pled not guilty, and they'll try
- 1:06Speaker 2: to it said, this is a pretty good indication that
- 1:09Speaker 2: they don't have a strong defense. If they're trying to
- 1:12Speaker 2: get the prosecutor removed, trying to claim they are political
- 1:15Speaker 2: targets rather than argue the case, it means it's a
- 1:19Speaker 2: pretty good case against them. So Zorin Mamdani is back
- 1:23Speaker 2: from Puerto Rico, where he was at that democratic. I
- 1:27Speaker 2: don't know what you call that thing. It's a conference
- 1:29Speaker 2: after every election all the Democrats in New York State,
- 1:34Speaker 2: they head to Puerto Rico for conference. But as Curtis
- 1:40Speaker 2: would call it, whining, dining, pocket lining. All the lobbyists
- 1:43Speaker 2: happened to be there at the same time, all the
- 1:45Speaker 2: special interest groups happen to be there at the same time.
- 1:48Speaker 2: So you do the math. But Mamdanni is back. He's
- 1:52Speaker 2: got a chief of staff who's a crazy socialist. He's
- 1:55Speaker 2: got a first deputy mayor. That's the most important thing.
- 2:00Speaker 2: First deputy mayor is the guy that actually runs or
- 2:02Speaker 2: gal or guy or runs city hall. Adams had a
- 2:09Speaker 2: woman first deputy mayor, but the current one is Dean
- 2:14Speaker 2: full full Land. He was Deblasio's first deputy mayor for
- 2:19Speaker 2: years and years and years. Now there's four other people
- 2:21Speaker 2: that have already been chosen that are from the Deblasio administration.
- 2:24Speaker 2: So it looks like you're going to get pretty much
- 2:27Speaker 2: what you got during the Deblasio administration, which was not good.
- 2:31Speaker 2: But we got through it all right. I mean, you know,
- 2:33Speaker 2: you remember those eight years. It was eight years of Deblasio.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Crime went up a little and went up in certain neighborhoods,
- 2:40Speaker 2: and there were problems here and there, but we got
- 2:43Speaker 2: through it just fine. And now the only problem is
- 2:47Speaker 2: you got a crazy city council. The election was not
- 2:51Speaker 2: good city council wise. You got more wacko left wing
- 2:54Speaker 2: kooks than the city council, just as you have in
- 2:56Speaker 2: the state legislature. And the problem is this Mam donnie
- 3:01Speaker 2: first Deputy Mayor Dean Fullane. One of the reasons he
- 3:04Speaker 2: might have been chosen. He's a big guy with the legislature.
- 3:07Speaker 2: He's the most connected, plugged in guy with that legislature
- 3:10Speaker 2: up there in Albany. So if they want to get
- 3:13Speaker 2: some tax increases or something past, this guy's got a
- 3:16Speaker 2: good shot at getting it done. So that's the only
- 3:19Speaker 2: big problem with this guy. Now, the free buses all
- 3:24Speaker 2: that stuff, of course, that was just silly and people
- 3:29Speaker 2: fell for it, Mam Donnie promising free buses. The mayor
- 3:32Speaker 2: has absolutely no control over the buses. They're run by
- 3:36Speaker 2: the state, by the MTA. Mayor has nothing to say
- 3:39Speaker 2: about it. Hockel said, you can't just take away this revenue.
- 3:42Speaker 2: We need it. She's not going to do it. Now.
- 3:44Speaker 2: You got to always be mad at Kathy Hockle, who's
- 3:46Speaker 2: always screwing in you up. If she was going to
- 3:49Speaker 2: tell people that you can't have the free buses, it's
- 3:52Speaker 2: not going to happen. Why didn't she tell us during
- 3:54Speaker 2: the campaign. Why did she wait till after the election? Well,
- 3:57Speaker 2: because it's you know, that's what a hack Democrat does.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Mom Downey was asked about this, But you're not going
- 4:03Speaker 2: to get the free buses.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I think the governor and I share a belief that
- 4:06Speaker 1: in making buses free, we have to replace the revenue
- 4:09Speaker 1: for the MTA. We cannot simply demand that they do
- 4:12Speaker 1: so without covering the amount of money they would raise
- 4:14Speaker 1: from fairs. And that's the cost of about seven hundred
- 4:16Speaker 1: million dollars a year.
- 4:18Speaker 2: So yeah, if you're not going to get rid of
- 4:19Speaker 2: the fair, you're going to have to replace it. With
- 4:22Speaker 2: it all comes down, you're going to have to pay
- 4:23Speaker 2: seven hundred million one way or another. Will he meet
- 4:27Speaker 2: with Trump?
- 4:28Speaker 1: Do you plan to call President Trump? I will be
- 4:30Speaker 1: reaching out to the White House and as we prepare
- 4:34Speaker 1: to actually take office, because this is a relationship that
- 4:36Speaker 1: will be critical to the success. So it wasn't just
- 4:38Speaker 1: a hypothetical scenario on our debate stage, they're actually going
- 4:41Speaker 1: to call him, what will you say? Well, I'll say
- 4:43Speaker 1: that I'm here to work for the benefit of everyone
- 4:45Speaker 1: that calls the city home, and that wherever there is
- 4:48Speaker 1: a possibility for working together towards that end, I'm ready,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and if it's to the expense of those New Yorkers,
- 4:53Speaker 1: I will find it.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Yeah, So, now what does that mean? He won't call Trump.
- 4:57Speaker 2: He'll call the White House. He'll get some kind of meeting.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Most likely he'll be Chief of Staff Susie Wilds. She'll
- 5:02Speaker 2: meet with him. Then they'll see how that goes. If
- 5:05Speaker 2: it goes really well, maybe maybe there'll be a phone
- 5:09Speaker 2: call between the Trump and Mom Donnie. I doubt there'll
- 5:12Speaker 2: be a meeting because I don't think either of I
- 5:14Speaker 2: don't think either one of them wants a picture with
- 5:17Speaker 2: the other guy. It's not going to help Mom Donnie
- 5:20Speaker 2: to have a picture of Trump, certainly not going to
- 5:22Speaker 2: help Trump have a picture of Mom Donnie. But you
- 5:25Speaker 2: never know. As he's meeting with Susie Wiles, you never
- 5:28Speaker 2: know what Trump will do. He might just pop into
- 5:30Speaker 2: the room. Ah, there he is, my little communist. He
- 5:32Speaker 2: might try to come in and win him over. But
- 5:36Speaker 2: I think they'll let somebody meet with him first and
- 5:39Speaker 2: see how it goes. Now, will he keep jessicat tiss?
- 5:41Speaker 2: She was asked about this again.
- 5:42Speaker 1: No, I continue to be confident in the decision I've
- 5:46Speaker 1: made to retain her, and I look forward to the
- 5:47Speaker 1: conversation that we have. And the reason for my confidence
- 5:51Speaker 1: is that I see, amidst whatever disagreement there may be,
- 5:53Speaker 1: there is a common shared goal of delivering on public safety.
- 5:57Speaker 1: And even earlier when you were asking me about the
- 5:59Speaker 1: potential of the National Guard, you know, the Police Commissioner
- 6:01Speaker 1: said very clearly, we do not need the National Guard
- 6:03Speaker 1: in New York City. The NYPD is here to create
- 6:05Speaker 1: that public safety and working together to deliver on her
- 6:09Speaker 1: record of reducing crime and accompanying that record with the
- 6:12Speaker 1: creation of a Department of Community Safety, these are the
- 6:14Speaker 1: things that excite me. In now.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It was pretty clear he didn't say, well, I might
- 6:19Speaker 2: keep her.
- 6:20Speaker 1: He said, you know, I continue to be confident in
- 6:23Speaker 1: the decision I've made to retain her.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Now that's pretty specific. I've made the decision to retain her,
- 6:28Speaker 2: so that means she's staying. However, you got to put
- 6:31Speaker 2: a big asterisk on this, she's the police commissioner. If
- 6:35Speaker 2: he interferes with her, she'll leave. And also there's a
- 6:39Speaker 2: deputy mayor that's called the Deputy Mayor of Public Safety.
- 6:42Speaker 2: That deputy mayor oversees the police commissioner. So if he
- 6:46Speaker 2: puts the wrong person in there, who Jessica Tish does
- 6:49Speaker 2: not want to work for or take orders from, then
- 6:52Speaker 2: she'll leave. So he says he's made the decision to
- 6:56Speaker 2: retain her, but there's things he could do that would
- 6:58Speaker 2: make he knows would make her leave, make her quit.
- 7:01Speaker 2: And she's one police commissioner that does not need the job,
- 7:06Speaker 2: does not need the job. She could leave at any time.
- 7:09Speaker 2: So as far as the police.
- 7:11Speaker 1: When we're talking about a response time that's closer to
- 7:13Speaker 1: sixteen minutes than when just five years ago it was
- 7:15Speaker 1: closer to ten. That is also something that is related
- 7:18Speaker 1: to us asking police officers to respond to nearly every
- 7:20Speaker 1: crisis we can think of. And it's time that we
- 7:23Speaker 1: understand the retention crisis is being related to a crisis
- 7:26Speaker 1: where we're asking police officers to respond to homelessness, to
- 7:29Speaker 1: mental health calls. It's time to actually allow them to
- 7:31Speaker 1: be police officers.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Now, we talked very fast, and he talks about a
- 7:34Speaker 2: retention crisis in relation to the retention crisis and the
- 7:36Speaker 2: relation of and you don't always know what he's saying.
- 7:39Speaker 2: But I don't know what Ellie just said. He's still
- 7:44Speaker 2: on this idea of And first of all, did he
- 7:47Speaker 2: say response time is sixteen minutes? That's a long time.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:55Speaker 2: I was watching Blue Bloods last night. A guy a
- 7:57Speaker 2: woman called, there's a man with a gun, but we'll
- 8:00Speaker 2: be there in about sixteen minutes. It was more like
- 8:04Speaker 2: sixteen seconds on TV. But he's still on this idea
- 8:08Speaker 2: that you don't waste police responding to domestic violence calls now,
- 8:14Speaker 2: as cops will tell you, those can be the most
- 8:16Speaker 2: dangerous of all those domestic violence calls. That's where you
- 8:20Speaker 2: get there's real physical danger. You got a raging maniac
- 8:24Speaker 2: husband with a gun and knife. You can't have social
- 8:27Speaker 2: workers going there. And the important thing to remember, the
- 8:30Speaker 2: NYPD has tried this about four different times over the
- 8:35Speaker 2: last thirty years. They've tried it. It doesn't work. Social
- 8:38Speaker 2: workers end up getting injured killed. First of all, the
- 8:40Speaker 2: social workers won't do it. They will not go on
- 8:43Speaker 2: these calls because they've seen what's happened in the past,
- 8:47Speaker 2: and they've all said they won't do it unless the
- 8:49Speaker 2: police come with them. So if the police are there,
- 8:51Speaker 2: you don't need the social worker. But it's not going
- 8:54Speaker 2: to work his mom Downie on Hoko.
- 8:56Speaker 1: You know, I look forward to the relationship that we're
- 8:58Speaker 1: building to serve common set of constituents. New York is
- 9:01Speaker 1: being plans to change her mind on buses. I'm excited,
- 9:03Speaker 1: just as I was in October twenty third about making
- 9:05Speaker 1: buses fast and free.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Fast and free. Right, How are you gonna make the
- 9:08Speaker 2: buses fast? How do you do that? They're stuck in traffic.
- 9:11Speaker 2: They can't go any faster than the cars in front
- 9:13Speaker 2: of them. I don't know what he's talking about. You
- 9:16Speaker 2: know who hit out during the whole election, Kirsten Gillibrand
- 9:21Speaker 2: do you remember her? Jilibrand anybody who remember her. She's
- 9:25Speaker 2: the other senator in New York. You never see her.
- 9:27Speaker 2: You know. Schumer is scheming and scamming to get on
- 9:30Speaker 2: every TV show he can. She's in hiding. She's in
- 9:33Speaker 2: witness protection. Nobody ever sees her. During the whole election.
- 9:36Speaker 2: She was in hiding, did not want to talk about it.
- 9:38Speaker 2: But she was asked about Mom Donnie.
- 9:39Speaker 3: I mean to make sure that I protect this city,
- 9:42Speaker 3: protect the mayor and the governor from whatever assault President
- 9:45Speaker 3: Trump tries to put on the people of New York City,
- 9:48Speaker 3: and we will stand united to fight against whatever President
- 9:50Speaker 3: Trump throws at us.
- 9:51Speaker 2: I'm going to protect I'm going to protect you. I
- 9:53Speaker 2: thought she was talking about against Mom Donnie. It's against Trump.
- 9:56Speaker 2: So she's kind of useless. You know, Schumer on the
- 10:00Speaker 2: way out, he'll be gone pretty soon, if not from
- 10:04Speaker 2: if not stepping down from the Senate, he'll he'll definitely
- 10:06Speaker 2: not be the minority leader anymore. He's been doing that
- 10:10Speaker 2: fake Sunday press conference for years and years and years
- 10:14Speaker 2: and years. It's an old trick from the seventies, eighties, nineties.
- 10:18Speaker 2: It doesn't work anymore, but he hasn't figured that out.
- 10:21Speaker 2: In the good old days, on Sunday, nothing happened. There
- 10:25Speaker 2: was no news, nothing happened, and Sunday night they still
- 10:28Speaker 2: had to do a six o'clock news and eleven o'clock news,
- 10:31Speaker 2: and the newspaper still had to put stories and so
- 10:34Speaker 2: nothing was happening. So Schumer would do this press conference
- 10:36Speaker 2: and announce something, and it would get in the paper
- 10:39Speaker 2: and it would get on the newscasts because nothing else
- 10:42Speaker 2: happened on Sunday, they were forced to use it. If
- 10:44Speaker 2: he did the press conference any other day of the week,
- 10:46Speaker 2: it wouldn't even pay attention, it wouldn't even show up.
- 10:48Speaker 2: But it worked for years. But it doesn't mean anything anymore.
- 10:52Speaker 2: There's media twenty four to seven, seven days a week.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Media is going NonStop, even if it's Twitter, even if
- 10:58Speaker 2: it's online, even if it's social media. So the Sunday
- 11:03Speaker 2: press conference means nothing. Oh yeah, you'll still get on
- 11:06Speaker 2: the six o'clock and eleven o'clock news, but nobody watches
- 11:08Speaker 2: that anymore. Local TV viewership is down like ninety percent
- 11:13Speaker 2: over the years, so it's kind of pointless to keep
- 11:15Speaker 2: doing that Sunday press conference. Hey, Bruce Blakeman definitely is
- 11:20Speaker 2: considering running for governor. He's the best county executive in America.
- 11:24Speaker 2: He'd be a great governor. Who we had to pick
- 11:26Speaker 2: one person to be the governor of New York, He's
- 11:28Speaker 2: the perfect pick. I like Alis Stefanic, but Blakeman would
- 11:32Speaker 2: be better. He's a governor now, he's the governor of
- 11:36Speaker 2: Nassau County. He does a great job. She's a legislator.
- 11:39Speaker 2: But he's going to do a tour of upstate New York.
- 11:43Speaker 2: He's going to actually first he's going to do I
- 11:46Speaker 2: think Albany, Westchester, Yeah, Hudson Valley. He'll go up there,
- 11:52Speaker 2: tour the place, speak to voters, do some events. Then
- 11:56Speaker 2: he'll go up to the North Country, which is where
- 11:59Speaker 2: at least is from. And then he might be saying, well,
- 12:03Speaker 2: that's a little pushy. No, No, it's a smart thing
- 12:05Speaker 2: to do. It's a very smart thing to do. He
- 12:07Speaker 2: just want a big reelection victory, very convincing, a re
- 12:10Speaker 2: election victory twelve points, won by twelve points. But if
- 12:14Speaker 2: you're not sure should he run for governor? Could he win?
- 12:19Speaker 2: A smart executive. If you're not sure, you go test it.
- 12:22Speaker 2: You go test the waters. You go upstate and talk
- 12:25Speaker 2: to voters and meet with them, and see how you
- 12:26Speaker 2: get along with them, see how they get along with you,
- 12:28Speaker 2: see what the reaction is to you that if you're
- 12:30Speaker 2: going to make a decision, And that's what a good
- 12:32Speaker 2: manager does, go go test the waters, go there, feel
- 12:38Speaker 2: it out. So that's what he's going to do. And
- 12:40Speaker 2: he's said he'll make a decision in the coming months.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I think he had to decide by February. The Republican
- 12:45Speaker 2: State Convention is in February, said, I'm looking forward to
- 12:49Speaker 2: meeting people up there, hearing from them, seeing what we
- 12:52Speaker 2: can do. Smart thing to do. Now, Blakeman something would
- 12:54Speaker 2: be the underdog because Stephanic is better known for the
- 12:58Speaker 2: Republican primary and a state. Also, she's got a lot
- 13:02Speaker 2: of support from GOP officials, the donors like her. Republican
- 13:08Speaker 2: Party Chairman Ed Cox likes her. But now, I mean,
- 13:14Speaker 2: she'd be great. We love Alistafanic. Blateman would actually be
- 13:17Speaker 2: a better governor. But we'll see what happens. Jack Schlossberg
- 13:21Speaker 2: he's the latest really disastrous Democratic candidate. He's the grandson
- 13:27Speaker 2: of JFK. He's the son of Caroline Kennedy. He's a
- 13:31Speaker 2: real whacko. You're going to start seeing the videos all
- 13:33Speaker 2: over the place that he's put on YouTube. They are
- 13:36Speaker 2: I think I have one on my Twitter, Yeah, go
- 13:39Speaker 2: check that out, or his TikTok, his Instagram. Just a
- 13:42Speaker 2: complete creepy, weirdo wacko. And a lot of people point
- 13:46Speaker 2: out he's had some weird fixation on JD Fans's wife Usha,
- 13:51Speaker 2: making creepy comments about her. And there was one time
- 13:54Speaker 2: where even he did a poll on his Twitter Who's hotter,
- 14:00Speaker 2: Whosha vants or Jackie Oh, which was kind of strange
- 14:05Speaker 2: to people. Is Jackie Oh? Jacqueline on Nassis is his grandmother?
- 14:10Speaker 2: Who does a poll on how hot his grandmother? Is
- 14:13Speaker 2: very very weird then, I mean, he's just had a
- 14:16Speaker 2: series of wacko, ludicrous tweets and posts. There was one
- 14:21Speaker 2: where he claimed Alan Dershowitz murdered his wife yeah in February,
- 14:26Speaker 2: or ranting ridiculous and accusing Alan Dershwitz of killing his
- 14:30Speaker 2: own wife. Dershowitz threatened a defamation lawsuit against him. There
- 14:35Speaker 2: was another series where Schlosberg shared naked pictures of himself
- 14:38Speaker 2: as a kid. I mean, he's just a complete nutjob,
- 14:41Speaker 2: wacko sleeves Paul. There's another one where he talked about
- 14:45Speaker 2: his recipe for jew blood. His words, jew blood. The
- 14:49Speaker 2: recipe includes two ounces of jew blood Ashkenazi, not Sephardic,
- 14:55Speaker 2: four cups of male well, I don't want to say
- 14:58Speaker 2: the word baked at three hundred degrees until totally dry
- 15:02Speaker 2: like your wife. This is Jack Schlosberg now, he's running
- 15:06Speaker 2: these ads online as he wants to run for Jerry
- 15:11Speaker 2: Nadler's seat. And in the ads he's dressed nicely and
- 15:14Speaker 2: he speaks very properly, and he says, I want to
- 15:16Speaker 2: do what I can to hold him. You can be
- 15:18Speaker 2: very formal now, but the Internet is forever and all
- 15:21Speaker 2: these videos are going to emerge. You're going to see
- 15:23Speaker 2: them all. He is a complete and total nutshob wacko. Hey,
- 15:28Speaker 2: Jimmy Faylor will be within a few minutes. We'll take
- 15:30Speaker 2: some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 15:34Speaker 2: ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 15:38Speaker 2: seven ten
