- 0:00Speaker 1: Brand new iHeart podcast, Overshare. You can watch it with
- 0:04Speaker 1: Phoebe Burgess and Hannah Ferry. They are joining us live
- 0:07Speaker 1: in our studio right now.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Good morning, ladies.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Good morning. Good morning. I'm so excited about this podcast
- 0:13Speaker 3: because I'm a big Oversharer myself.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. But can you tell us a little bit
- 0:16Speaker 2: more about it?
- 0:17Speaker 4: Why aren't we talking about it?
- 0:19Speaker 3: I think we're going to go everywhere. But it's basically
- 0:22Speaker 3: for women.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Yes. You know.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Not for me?
- 0:25Speaker 1: No, no.
- 0:26Speaker 3: You can listen too.
- 0:27Speaker 4: You're part woman.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:29Speaker 4: Okay. I think men might enjoy it.
- 0:31Speaker 3: No, but we're going to be sharing too many secrets.
- 0:33Speaker 3: We don't want them learning everything.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I mean, this is funny, right?
- 0:36Speaker 1: Women, when they get together, if a man did overhear
- 0:39Speaker 1: your conversation, you guys can be worse than men with what.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You talk about. Can I tell you?
- 0:44Speaker 4: 100%. If you are sitting there overhearing conversation, get.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Your little notepad out.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Start writing some notes.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You've been through a pretty messy divorce, Phoebe. Where are
- 0:52Speaker 1: you with that? And are you going to open up
- 0:54Speaker 1: about all of that on the podcast?
- 0:55Speaker 4: Oh. Hindsight's a wonderful thing and if we are guided
- 0:59Speaker 4: in that direction, sure, why not? We were going through
- 1:03Speaker 4: a few old headlines and I don't think there's much
- 1:05Speaker 4: that people don't know. Yeah, I think we'll dip into
- 1:07Speaker 4: our hindsight on all sorts of things.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm going to pull it out of her.
- 1:11Speaker 2: You are? Yeah.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Well, not like the cheating stuff.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Well, why not?
- 1:15Speaker 3: More like we want to get her dating again.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Have you thought about it?
- 1:19Speaker 4: It's been seven years, guys.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Seven years, no dates?
- 1:22Speaker 4: No dates.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I have an incredible track record of playing matchmaker with
- 1:27Speaker 3: some girlfriends of mine. I can sort something out for you.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Do you know what? I was just saying to Hannah, though,
- 1:34Speaker 4: my life doesn't really work for the apps and it's
- 1:36Speaker 4: all on the apps. I need to be charming first
- 1:39Speaker 4: and then say, oh, I've got two kids. Boom. And, oh,
- 1:43Speaker 4: I live with my parents.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And, Hannah, what about you? Obviously you were on Below Deck.
- 1:47Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:47Speaker 2: And you are now married and you've got a beautiful daughter.
- 1:50Speaker 2: How has life changed for you?
- 1:51Speaker 3: Oh, my God. It's done a full 180. But I actually,
- 1:55Speaker 3: it's so funny because I'm travelling a lot at the
- 1:57Speaker 3: moment back and forth to the States. And it seems
- 2:00Speaker 3: very glamorous, but I would be so happy to like
- 2:02Speaker 3: never leave my zip code now.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:04Speaker 3: It's like that was my life for, you know, 15,
- 2:07Speaker 3: 20 years was just moving all the time. And now
- 2:10Speaker 3: I just find it like quite exhausting.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:13Speaker 3: And I get home and I'm like, I just want
- 2:14Speaker 3: to get back. Into my house, settled, hang out with
- 2:17Speaker 3: my kid, watch Bluey.
- 2:18Speaker 2: How good is going to bed early?
- 2:20Speaker 3: No, we've actually like had to try and push ourselves
- 2:24Speaker 3: to like stay, like at 10 past eight we're like, no,
- 2:26Speaker 3: we can't.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Come on.
- 2:28Speaker 3: We can make it to quarter to nine.
- 2:29Speaker 2: We can do it.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Have you ever tried New Year's Eve, by the way,
- 2:32Speaker 1: after a while? Like I remember going out and it's like, okay,
- 2:35Speaker 1: so we've had dinner.
- 2:36Speaker 2: What do we do for the next four hours? How
- 2:38Speaker 2: do we stay up till midnight?
- 2:39Speaker 4: I'm the mum now who's going, all right, now when's
- 2:41Speaker 4: the first fireworks?
- 2:42Speaker 1: That's 9pm.
- 2:43Speaker 4: That's good enough for us.
- 2:44Speaker 2: That's the midnight fireworks for me too.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Hey, another thing we were talking about on the show
- 2:49Speaker 1: recently was apparently couples that don't take the other person's
- 2:51Speaker 1: last name divorce more often.
- 2:55Speaker 2: 50% more likely to get divorced.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Really?
- 2:57Speaker 3: I didn't take my husband's last name.
- 2:59Speaker 2: So you haven't, have you?
- 3:00Speaker 4: No.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Firstly, but.
- 3:02Speaker 3: I must admit part of it's laziness. I really don't
- 3:04Speaker 3: like paperwork. I'm like, imagine what you'd need to do
- 3:07Speaker 3: to change your last name.
- 3:08Speaker 2: It's a process. That sounds horrendous. Amy did it right.
- 3:11Speaker 2: And then Phoebe, you stuck with yours. I did.
- 3:14Speaker 4: I was waiting for that. I thought we were going
- 3:17Speaker 4: somewhere with this.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Are you going to change it or? Do you know what?
- 3:20Speaker 4: I've got two little kids who've been through a whirlwind
- 3:24Speaker 4: of change. And I think the idea of us having
- 3:27Speaker 4: separate last names and the idea of changing their last
- 3:30Speaker 4: name to my old last name and us not being
- 3:33Speaker 4: a unit. The idea of that to me sounds more
- 3:36Speaker 4: messy and painful. than moving forward and just saying.
- 3:39Speaker 2: You know what, we're a pod of three.
- 3:41Speaker 4: We're not missing anything. Yeah.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Well, especially I think if you have kids, you know,
- 3:45Speaker 3: I've got a different name to my daughter for different
- 3:48Speaker 3: reasons because, you know, I don't like paperwork.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:51Speaker 3: But I just feel like.
- 3:52Speaker 4: You can look her in the eye and tell her that. Yeah,
- 3:54Speaker 4: of course. It's like mummy just hates admin, darling.
- 3:57Speaker 2: But I think it would be.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Weirder if you did change your name back now with
- 4:01Speaker 3: two kids with that name.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And what's in a name anyway? We're going to hear.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Apparently a lot.
- 4:06Speaker 1: We've just had a little bit of what we're going
- 4:08Speaker 1: to hear on the pod, and you can listen or
- 4:10Speaker 1: watch Overshare with Phoebe Burgess, Hannah Ferrier, now on the
- 4:14Speaker 1: free iHeart app. New episodes drop every Monday. Thank you
- 4:17Speaker 1: for coming in.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Thank you for having us.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Thanks, guys.
