- 0:05Speaker 1: The market is booming, Bitcoin over one hundred K.
- 0:08Speaker 2: We're gonna be talking about a wallet today and that
- 0:11Speaker 2: is because you guys are probably going to be wanting
- 0:12Speaker 2: to do some trades within the XRP ecosystem. This is
- 0:15Speaker 2: the show for you. Don't miss it. My name is
- 0:17Speaker 2: Paul Barreer. Welcome back in a tech path. I'll get
- 0:19Speaker 2: started by our sponsor, and that is Tangent. If you're
- 0:22Speaker 2: looking at long term holding and you want to do
- 0:24Speaker 2: it in a self custody way, you can do that
- 0:26Speaker 2: over with the Tangent wallet. Very easy to get to.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Just go to tangum dot com and of course you
- 0:31Speaker 2: can do that over there. It works in conjunction with
- 0:34Speaker 2: your phone.
- 0:34Speaker 1: So very easy to set up.
- 0:36Speaker 2: And if you're brand new to self custoy, this is
- 0:39Speaker 2: the one for you because it is simple to get started.
- 0:41Speaker 1: So check it out.
- 0:42Speaker 2: We have a twenty percent discount going on that they
- 0:45Speaker 2: forwarded to our audience. Our audience, so don't paying attention
- 0:48Speaker 2: to ten off. It's twenty percent and it goes through
- 0:51Speaker 2: the eighth, so December the eighth is win is the
- 0:54Speaker 2: last time you'll be able to get it using the
- 0:56Speaker 2: code PBN, so just use that all right, let's get
- 0:58Speaker 2: into it today. We asked the guys over at Zaman
- 1:02Speaker 2: to come on the show, and one of their people
- 1:04Speaker 2: were said, yeah, we'll come on, let's talk about it.
- 1:06Speaker 2: So Robert, welcome in CEO of Zama the Wallet.
- 1:10Speaker 1: And we got the right.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Pronunciation right now because I've been calling it Jhaman and
- 1:14Speaker 2: it's Zoman with almost like a z exactly.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Well, hey, listen, are you.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Guys, First of all, how surprised are you right now
- 1:21Speaker 2: with the really the popularity of what we've seen around
- 1:26Speaker 2: wallet activity, with not only what you guys have been doing,
- 1:28Speaker 2: but just the XORP ecosystem. Were you expecting this or
- 1:32Speaker 2: what were you anticipating?
- 1:34Speaker 3: Not that surprised, I think, considering how police is moving
- 1:38Speaker 3: in the US and how the market is moving in general,
- 1:42Speaker 3: I don't think it's that big of us surprise. Did
- 1:44Speaker 3: I personally see xorp four hundred percent up on the
- 1:48Speaker 3: monthly chart, Yeah, I wouldn't have expected it. But again,
- 1:52Speaker 3: if you look at the bigger picture, the crypto market
- 1:55Speaker 3: is booming. I think it makes sense. But I think
- 1:57Speaker 3: it's the most important part here is seeing the exor
- 2:03Speaker 3: ecosystem finally get that tension that it deserves. Yeah, we've
- 2:07Speaker 3: had projects and people building for years now, and for
- 2:11Speaker 3: finally for them to basically be ready with their products
- 2:14Speaker 3: and now to get that tension they deserve. I think
- 2:16Speaker 3: that's that's very nice.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I would agree with that because that's one thing that
- 2:21Speaker 2: I've been surprised. I mean, we've been covering XRP for years,
- 2:24Speaker 2: but when you get a chance to really dive into
- 2:26Speaker 2: the ecosystem and see what's happening, it really perks your
- 2:29Speaker 2: interest on what this token is capable, but more importantly,
- 2:33Speaker 2: some of the tech that seems to be rising out
- 2:35Speaker 2: from underneath it. How many users have you had in
- 2:38Speaker 2: the past month. What has been the growth rate for
- 2:40Speaker 2: you guys?
- 2:42Speaker 3: Yeah, the past month has been pretty crazy. We've I
- 2:45Speaker 3: just actually pulled up the statistics before coming here. In
- 2:48Speaker 3: the past thirty days, we have had two hundred and
- 2:51Speaker 3: eighty three thousand active users and eighty four thousand new users. Wow,
- 2:57Speaker 3: so the new user rate even isn't that high. What's
- 3:00Speaker 3: really nice is seeing all of the holders and all
- 3:03Speaker 3: of the people who were, you know, maybe had there's
- 3:05Speaker 3: someone activated their assets on a month for three years
- 3:10Speaker 3: coming back and together with how the market is going.
- 3:14Speaker 3: We've seen an insane optic in support tickets and again
- 3:18Speaker 3: you just see the trend that it's it's a bunch
- 3:21Speaker 3: of old holders returning and now they're happy to be
- 3:24Speaker 3: active again.
- 3:25Speaker 2: But one hundred thousand activated accounts, that's pretty huge going
- 3:29Speaker 2: on overall.
- 3:29Speaker 3: So I want to clarify that's not within some month,
- 3:34Speaker 3: that's on a separate network. So how network is a
- 3:36Speaker 3: side chain of the extra Pill. So I think that
- 3:39Speaker 3: plays into the narrative that it's very nice finally seeing
- 3:42Speaker 3: all of the projects get attention they deserve. And I
- 3:45Speaker 3: think there's a HOW network is one of those because
- 3:49Speaker 3: it's a code fork of the extra PEL but it
- 3:52Speaker 3: brings smart contracts via hooks, that's what we call it
- 3:56Speaker 3: on there's a how network finally to the audience. So
- 3:59Speaker 3: super nice now seeing what people can do it when
- 4:02Speaker 3: they are given the capability to build really good stuff.
- 4:06Speaker 2: When you get this kind of influx, and we've seen
- 4:08Speaker 2: this in the crypto community quite a bit of where
- 4:12Speaker 2: there's these outages. You guys had an outage second one
- 4:16Speaker 2: in a week that it was resolved quickly. That's the
- 4:19Speaker 2: good part of it, But are you ready for the
- 4:22Speaker 2: kind of influx of users that we're probably going to
- 4:25Speaker 2: see over this next six months.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Absolutely, I think there's a very good saying that goes
- 4:30Speaker 3: with this. I think, yes, an outage for a customer
- 4:35Speaker 3: is an inconvenience, but that is a very good problem
- 4:38Speaker 3: to have, Yeah, because that means we are able to
- 4:41Speaker 3: battle test our software. We are able to find what
- 4:45Speaker 3: may be the missing links or some certain hardware failures,
- 4:49Speaker 3: we are able to fix it. And as the past
- 4:52Speaker 3: week shown, within the fast everybody was happy and I
- 4:55Speaker 3: think we are ready. We have definitely some one is
- 5:00Speaker 3: a product of XRPEL Labs, and under Exorpel Labs, we
- 5:03Speaker 3: are also the biggest infrastructure host, so notes all that
- 5:07Speaker 3: kind of stuff for XRPL. I think it's extremely important
- 5:11Speaker 3: to be ready for this and be all ready. But again,
- 5:16Speaker 3: the market is really well.
- 5:19Speaker 2: And one thing I always recommend to our users, and
- 5:21Speaker 2: if you're brand new to crypto and you're catching our show,
- 5:24Speaker 2: one thing to be aware of is that this has
- 5:26Speaker 2: happened multiple times.
- 5:27Speaker 1: We've seen it in the last bull run.
- 5:29Speaker 2: We saw in the bull run before that, there has
- 5:31Speaker 2: been outages on major exchanges. We saw coinbased go down,
- 5:34Speaker 2: we saw binance go down, we saw Robinhood have issues.
- 5:38Speaker 2: It is not abnormal for this, even for the biggest
- 5:41Speaker 2: out there in the ecosystem. So don't freak out when
- 5:44Speaker 2: these things happen. Be aware, always, just be safe and
- 5:47Speaker 2: practice good security. But I think the key here is
- 5:51Speaker 2: when you have a market that's growing so fast to
- 5:54Speaker 2: your point, you have to be ready, both from a
- 5:57Speaker 2: tech side but also from a user side of things.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Well, absolutely talk about it, talk about.
- 6:02Speaker 2: The three point two upgrades. I was looking at your
- 6:05Speaker 2: tweet right here. You've got the three point two it's
- 6:08Speaker 2: available now, faster performance, some event lists in their high
- 6:12Speaker 2: spam things of that, which I love because there's a
- 6:14Speaker 2: lot of those problems right now with wallets. Is there
- 6:17Speaker 2: anything specific that you say, hey, this is really what
- 6:20Speaker 2: we were trying to achieve with three point two.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Absolutely, loading into the app was a bit slow due
- 6:26Speaker 3: to the fact that extra pel had the mean cooin mania,
- 6:29Speaker 3: if you would want to call it that, and considering
- 6:32Speaker 3: the sheer amount of trust lines that now were necessary
- 6:35Speaker 3: in that solid down. We fixed it and that was
- 6:40Speaker 3: the biggest technical change in three point two. The biggest
- 6:44Speaker 3: change across our journey was also introduced in three point
- 6:48Speaker 3: two and it's monetizing the wallet because sustainability and being
- 6:53Speaker 3: able to grow is extremely important and at someone, we
- 6:57Speaker 3: take the biggest pride our security. This is our number one,
- 7:02Speaker 3: has been our number one since day one, and in
- 7:05Speaker 3: order to be able to offer our users the most
- 7:08Speaker 3: secure experience that you can have. Most definitely on the
- 7:12Speaker 3: extra pail. But I would also be fairly confident in
- 7:15Speaker 3: saying in the crypto scene in general.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I think you hit on something though, that's very important
- 7:21Speaker 2: to bring up to everybody.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Because there's a lot of free stuff out there.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Right now outside of in the industry itself, and this
- 7:28Speaker 2: is something that has even talked about on social very confident,
- 7:32Speaker 2: I think companies and projects that actually charge for it
- 7:35Speaker 2: is I think that's the way.
- 7:36Speaker 1: To go for the future.
- 7:37Speaker 3: So kudos to what you guys are doing being sustainable.
- 7:41Speaker 3: We are no longer under the risk that we might
- 7:44Speaker 3: take a VC deal that, at the end of the day,
- 7:47Speaker 3: has their goal is to optimize their profits and that
- 7:52Speaker 3: usually comes at the cost of our users. We will
- 7:54Speaker 3: never do that. Our users are number one for us,
- 7:57Speaker 3: and their security is number one for us. Second, is
- 8:00Speaker 3: exactly what we talked about before being able to scale
- 8:03Speaker 3: for the sheer demand, because it's very important. If you
- 8:06Speaker 3: are scaling in crypto, you are not scaling for the
- 8:08Speaker 3: average state. You are scaling for the peak because you
- 8:11Speaker 3: need to be able to provide at the peak. So
- 8:16Speaker 3: I think those are the biggest things on our radar,
- 8:18Speaker 3: and I think those really are a staple of our
- 8:21Speaker 3: commitment to our community and our users and security in general.
- 8:26Speaker 2: What is the most asked feature right now? When you
- 8:29Speaker 2: get all the inbound whether it's on Twitter or otherwise,
- 8:33Speaker 2: you're getting feedback from users. I mean, we know what
- 8:36Speaker 2: ours is, but what is the feature that is being
- 8:39Speaker 2: asked about the most.
- 8:40Speaker 3: That's actually a very good question because we're in a
- 8:43Speaker 3: lucky position. Zamon has been a feature complete wallet since
- 8:47Speaker 3: day one, meaning that any single feature that's available on
- 8:51Speaker 3: the XRP ledger, we offer that to our user base.
- 8:55Speaker 3: So thankfully, that's not a problem that we really have.
- 8:59Speaker 3: I know that when meme coins became extremely popular on
- 9:02Speaker 3: the extra pelt, then people wanted to be able to
- 9:05Speaker 3: see their meme coin's name in the app scene.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Yeah, icon in that.
- 9:10Speaker 3: That's also something that we cater to in three point two,
- 9:13Speaker 3: and we've been that since day one, and I think
- 9:15Speaker 3: that's also a very important thing why someone has has
- 9:20Speaker 3: reached the level of success that we are at.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I think that's exactly the point for us,
- 9:25Speaker 2: because meme coins was the big one. Everybody wants to
- 9:28Speaker 2: know how to get to and understand how to get
- 9:31Speaker 2: into the ecosystem. We try to explain it a little
- 9:33Speaker 2: bit around how trust lines work within the Zaman wallet
- 9:37Speaker 2: and being able to get some of these because it
- 9:39Speaker 2: is a different environment versus going into a phantom wallet
- 9:43Speaker 2: and buying a Salona meme coin. So for those of
- 9:45Speaker 2: you who have never done it, you know, go through,
- 9:47Speaker 2: test it out, you know, you walk through it, go
- 9:50Speaker 2: in and buy drop. That's one of the easiest ones
- 9:52Speaker 2: to go check out. Again, remember these meme coins very
- 9:55Speaker 2: high risks. Just remember that. But that's the one that
- 9:58Speaker 2: we liked in the three point two update. Also, the
- 10:02Speaker 2: other thing that is coming down the pipe that could
- 10:04Speaker 2: happen any day now, and that is r l USD
- 10:07Speaker 2: and a stable coin coming in. What kind of First
- 10:11Speaker 2: of all, do you think when do you think this
- 10:13Speaker 2: is going to launch? What's your thought on this?
- 10:16Speaker 3: That's a good question. I sincerely do not have an
- 10:20Speaker 3: answer for that. I believe that it's going to launch
- 10:23Speaker 3: any day now. I think it's going to happen very soon.
- 10:26Speaker 3: I think that's something that you can derive from Ripple's
- 10:30Speaker 3: communication to the general public, and I think the ecosystem
- 10:35Speaker 3: is ready for it.
- 10:36Speaker 1: No doubt.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I think the ecosystem we're going to see it being
- 10:39Speaker 2: used across so much of the industry.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I think it's a big one.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Right here, This was the statement from Ripple talking about
- 10:46Speaker 2: r l USD isn't launching today. They were talking about
- 10:49Speaker 2: yesterday lockstep with the ny DFS.
- 10:52Speaker 1: That's the thing that.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Makes this so unique is if once this has been
- 10:56Speaker 2: approved through the ny DFS, this could really change the
- 11:00Speaker 2: dynamic around stable coin. What kind of impact do you
- 11:04Speaker 2: think that's going to have when you guys actually have
- 11:06Speaker 2: this as a trading pair inside the wallet itself, what
- 11:09Speaker 2: do you think is going to happen?
- 11:11Speaker 3: I sincerely hope that the biggest impact will be on
- 11:14Speaker 3: the ecosystem. So I basically go back to what I
- 11:17Speaker 3: started with as the ecosystem and all of the projects
- 11:21Speaker 3: are finally getting the attention that they deserve. I think
- 11:24Speaker 3: r l us T will enable that to go even further,
- 11:28Speaker 3: and the decks the first native decks in crypto in general,
- 11:32Speaker 3: so the extra pail decks, it doesn't have the best
- 11:35Speaker 3: liquidity right now. I think that's something that could be
- 11:39Speaker 3: solved with r l USD, and I think I think
- 11:42Speaker 3: that's the biggest one probably. And it's again saying we've
- 11:45Speaker 3: been feature complete since day one. Whenever our l USD hits,
- 11:49Speaker 3: it's going to be shortlisted under the trust lines in Samana.
- 11:54Speaker 3: We will be supporting it since the first moment. It's
- 11:57Speaker 3: basically able on norf rams, so we are ready for it.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Yeah, we were tweeting this out currently. At that time
- 12:05Speaker 2: that we tweeted this, this was on December the third,
- 12:07Speaker 2: there were eight hundred and eighty trust lines and we
- 12:11Speaker 2: just checked in here recently. I think we're over forty
- 12:14Speaker 2: five hundred. This is the list right now, if you
- 12:16Speaker 2: guys go in and want to learn a little bit
- 12:18Speaker 2: more about it. On the trust lines for what RLUSD
- 12:21Speaker 2: is starting to hit, I mean you can see it.
- 12:23Speaker 2: It is absolutely lining up, so it's almost like a
- 12:25Speaker 2: pre order for what's happening within RLUSD. Huge on the
- 12:30Speaker 2: I think the capacity of like you were mentioning, is
- 12:33Speaker 2: just the what the benefits are going to be for
- 12:35Speaker 2: the ecosystem.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Talk to me just so everybody knows.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Because there's a lot of people that are watching right
- 12:40Speaker 2: now that are brand new to the XRP ecosystem. Explain
- 12:43Speaker 2: trust lines, why they're important, and how they work.
- 12:48Speaker 3: So on a very high level, a trust line is
- 12:51Speaker 3: basically you signaling that you are willing to interact with
- 12:55Speaker 3: this asset. So, for example, in SAMON, if you're on
- 12:59Speaker 3: the XORP, the ledger the native as it is XRP.
- 13:02Speaker 3: If you're on Zaha network, the native acid is ZA,
- 13:06Speaker 3: and then you can use trust lines to basically say
- 13:11Speaker 3: that this is an asset that I'm willing to interact with.
- 13:15Speaker 3: So our earliest is a perfect example of that. You're
- 13:17Speaker 3: basically opening the door for yourself, you're closing the door
- 13:22Speaker 3: for a potential spam and all that you just have
- 13:24Speaker 3: a direct access to the coin, and that's basically how
- 13:29Speaker 3: it works. Of course, you can set the trust line
- 13:31Speaker 3: right now. That means the asset isn't available, but it
- 13:34Speaker 3: means that exactly like you said, you're basically shortlisting yourself,
- 13:37Speaker 3: so meaning that whenever the asset becomes available, you can
- 13:40Speaker 3: see it in your wallet. You can interact with it.
- 13:43Speaker 2: The fact that there's that many on pre order, it
- 13:45Speaker 2: feels like it's pretty impressive overall, that's for sure. Talk
- 13:50Speaker 2: about Okay, so meme coins big big craze. We've seen
- 13:54Speaker 2: it almost on every ecosystem. If you look at what's
- 13:56Speaker 2: happened within Solana, within Sui, within Tron, everybody's had their
- 14:01Speaker 2: little bit of run on meme coins. The XRP ecosystem
- 14:05Speaker 2: I don't think has been that really, it hasn't really
- 14:10Speaker 2: happened yet because of availability and being able to get
- 14:12Speaker 2: to it. It's still quite a challenge I think for.
- 14:15Speaker 1: New users to go in and do that.
- 14:17Speaker 2: When we get a ripple stable coin, do you think
- 14:20Speaker 2: that's going to have a major impact on meme coins?
- 14:23Speaker 3: Thinking out loud here, I think it would make trading
- 14:25Speaker 3: with mime coins a bit more predictable in a sense
- 14:28Speaker 3: that now you know that your USD is one dollar,
- 14:32Speaker 3: whereas your XRP can change, the meme coin can change,
- 14:35Speaker 3: so you're a bit open to more rister if you're
- 14:38Speaker 3: trading with the stable coin, I think you're opened up
- 14:40Speaker 3: a bit less risk there. Of course, meme coins are
- 14:42Speaker 3: still extremely volatile. They should not be seen as an investment,
- 14:47Speaker 3: but I do think that it might add something to
- 14:51Speaker 3: the market, even for those traders who want to have
- 14:54Speaker 3: a bit less risk.
- 14:55Speaker 2: What about the market cap, because I'm looking at xp
- 14:57Speaker 2: market right here, I'll zoom in on this. You guys,
- 15:00Speaker 2: you can see this market cap curring around two hundred
- 15:02Speaker 2: and eight email. Do you think that is also going to
- 15:05Speaker 2: just see a skyrocket in opportunity here around within the ecosystem?
- 15:09Speaker 3: That's that's the question that I can't answer. I do
- 15:13Speaker 3: think that if if our elus does bring to liquidity,
- 15:18Speaker 3: then we will probably see the market cap go about.
- 15:22Speaker 3: But I think from a SAMAN so, I think it's
- 15:24Speaker 3: extremely important to mention here that we are not really
- 15:28Speaker 3: in the business of speculation from the SAMON, and we
- 15:31Speaker 3: are in the business of allowing users to sleep well
- 15:34Speaker 3: at night knowing that their assets are safe. So we
- 15:36Speaker 3: see it right now as well. There are many people
- 15:38Speaker 3: trading on a first Ledger, that's the mean coin platform
- 15:41Speaker 3: for x rapl, but there are also very many people
- 15:44Speaker 3: trading there and then transferring to meme coins over to
- 15:48Speaker 3: SAMON because they know it the meme games are going
- 15:51Speaker 3: to be safe in the month.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Yeah, so exactly talk to me, okay, So let's go
- 15:56Speaker 2: into a couple other points. Because you guys had a
- 15:58Speaker 2: partnership here with master car coming in. What does this
- 16:02Speaker 2: mean for you and will this change the onboarding possibility
- 16:07Speaker 2: for funding a wallet like we've already started to see
- 16:10Speaker 2: Apple Pay, robinhood Connect, all sorts of things that have
- 16:14Speaker 2: been able to fund some of these self custody wallets.
- 16:17Speaker 2: What's on your roadmap for something like that?
- 16:20Speaker 3: This is a good question. The Immersive integration is for Zahau.
- 16:25Speaker 3: So basically, what it's going to allow you to do
- 16:27Speaker 3: is have a stable coin in your some balance on
- 16:30Speaker 3: the Sahau network. You will have a MasterCard issued by Immersive,
- 16:35Speaker 3: they're a partner of MasterCard, and then you can just
- 16:38Speaker 3: directly spend your stable coin utilizing hooks technology. So technology
- 16:45Speaker 3: only available on Zahau right now. So basically a smart contract,
- 16:49Speaker 3: right And I think that's something that the main net
- 16:52Speaker 3: of extra pel is missing right now. And I do
- 16:55Speaker 3: think whenever we start, I think that partnership will definitely
- 16:59Speaker 3: make someone experience even more nicer. You now are able
- 17:03Speaker 3: to in total self custody exactly and your stable coins
- 17:08Speaker 3: all right.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I like that.
- 17:09Speaker 2: I had a couple more questions here. One was on
- 17:12Speaker 2: the Zaman pro and I'm on your website right now.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Is there a way around this if I didn't want
- 17:18Speaker 2: to go in and hold a certain level of tokens?
- 17:22Speaker 2: I know you guys have the Tangent card connected to
- 17:25Speaker 2: this prob product. You know where you get that. But
- 17:27Speaker 2: it's sixty bucks in XRP or sixty is that right?
- 17:29Speaker 2: Sixty dollars in XRP.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Still, yes, it can be sixty dollars in via a
- 17:34Speaker 3: card or via XRP. I think that the greater question
- 17:38Speaker 3: here is about our monetization. There is a there's many
- 17:42Speaker 3: solutions here and a lot of questions that we have answered.
- 17:45Speaker 3: So yeah, yes, there's ways around this. We monetize our
- 17:48Speaker 3: users now based on their app usage. So for example,
- 17:52Speaker 3: if you're a casual user, you know you hold your
- 17:55Speaker 3: ten thousand XORP, you signed twenty transactions per month, you
- 17:59Speaker 3: interact with accepts, you interact with the ecosystems a bit,
- 18:02Speaker 3: you will never be monetized. If you're a power user
- 18:05Speaker 3: who I don't know, signs five hundred transactions per month,
- 18:09Speaker 3: has one hundred thousand extrapeece, then you will be paywalled again.
- 18:13Speaker 3: It's because we offer you the safest experience. You know
- 18:17Speaker 3: that your one hundred thousand extra piece safe and in
- 18:21Speaker 3: order for that, we offer three solutions. So first is
- 18:25Speaker 3: paying the paywall amount that you run into based on
- 18:28Speaker 3: your usage. Again, it's dynamic, so if the next month
- 18:32Speaker 3: you don't use the app as much, it will be
- 18:34Speaker 3: free for you. So that's the main reason why we
- 18:37Speaker 3: didn't opt for a subscription, because I don't think it's
- 18:39Speaker 3: fair for to ask us for somebody to pay ten
- 18:42Speaker 3: dollars per month when they might really need to use
- 18:45Speaker 3: someone for only three months out of a year. The
- 18:48Speaker 3: second question is getting someone pro, which you talked about.
- 18:51Speaker 3: It offers a few advanced features, but it's more of
- 18:54Speaker 3: a quality of life product and it lasts a year.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Also means that you will not be monetized. And the
- 19:01Speaker 3: third option that we have decided for is holding five
- 19:04Speaker 3: thousand ZA on the Zaha network and in that case
- 19:08Speaker 3: you will also be exempt from monetization. I personally am
- 19:12Speaker 3: not a fan of obfuscated fees. That is kind of
- 19:16Speaker 3: industry standard when it comes to wallets. Someone has zero
- 19:20Speaker 3: fees and they are very proud of that. So we
- 19:23Speaker 3: like to be transparent upfront, and I think that's the
- 19:27Speaker 3: strategy that we went with.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Well, I think the fees are you know, anytime that
- 19:32Speaker 2: if you're getting a free product, you know people talk
- 19:34Speaker 2: about it all the time.
- 19:35Speaker 1: You are the product.
- 19:35Speaker 2: But to your point, fees are already becoming an issue.
- 19:39Speaker 2: We're going to continue to see that even.
- 19:41Speaker 1: On some of the coinbas wallet.
- 19:43Speaker 2: I know that within base there's a lot of stuff
- 19:44Speaker 2: that you can move fairly free. But even though there's
- 19:47Speaker 2: still fees within coinbas wallet that are still network transactions,
- 19:51Speaker 2: so absolutely, and.
- 19:52Speaker 1: It's not stuff you're getting away from.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Yeah, this is a very interesting topic as well, because
- 19:56Speaker 3: we went live with our monetization I think roughly around
- 19:59Speaker 3: twenty four hour hours ago now, and I had to
- 20:02Speaker 3: explain to some users who were a bit a bit
- 20:05Speaker 3: in all because they have been they've gotten us to
- 20:08Speaker 3: using someone for free, they've got the news to getting
- 20:11Speaker 3: everything in the ecosystem for free basically, and they told
- 20:14Speaker 3: me that they would rather send their friends to meta mask.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Now.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Then I had to explain to the user that meta
- 20:20Speaker 3: mask on average charges zero point eight percent on average perfections.
- 20:24Speaker 3: So if your friend is transacting ten thousand extra peper month,
- 20:31Speaker 3: the friend will end up paying over ten times more
- 20:35Speaker 3: than he would with our monetization model. So I do
- 20:39Speaker 3: think the obfuscated fees has kind of become a norm.
- 20:42Speaker 3: I don't think it should be an RM. I think
- 20:44Speaker 3: people should be aware of it. Everything should be upfront.
- 20:47Speaker 3: But it's the crypto space, so yeah, I think they're doing.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Yeah, well, fees are going to I think this is
- 20:53Speaker 2: going to get more competitive and the premium products are
- 20:56Speaker 2: going to rise to the top. I think the ones
- 20:59Speaker 2: that figure out a monetization and do what you guys
- 21:03Speaker 2: are talking about right now, which is reducing fees and
- 21:06Speaker 2: in increasing security, especially if you look at it with
- 21:11Speaker 2: the model that you guys have done with trust lines
- 21:13Speaker 2: to eliminate the spam problem, that's a huge, huge advantage.
- 21:16Speaker 2: I wish it was available on more projects you know
- 21:19Speaker 2: out there, if which we add those for things like
- 21:21Speaker 2: Solana and within e.
- 21:23Speaker 3: So people at the end of the day, they don't
- 21:24Speaker 3: even know that they're paying fees, so they sincerely think
- 21:27Speaker 3: that using metamas for them is free, and they are
- 21:30Speaker 3: shocked at the fact that we are asking them for
- 21:32Speaker 3: a payment based off of their usage and we are
- 21:35Speaker 3: clearly showing them the amount and they will be acting.
- 21:38Speaker 3: They will be ten transacting for thirty days using some
- 21:41Speaker 3: unrestricted they can use everything. They can do a million
- 21:45Speaker 3: transactions amounth if they if they for some reason need
- 21:48Speaker 3: to do that.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Hey, listen, guys, if you want to check out Zamon,
- 21:52Speaker 2: you can go over to the Zimon dot app and
- 21:54Speaker 2: get it right there on the Google Play or the
- 21:56Speaker 2: app store. This is not again, by the way, this
- 21:58Speaker 2: is not an advertisement. They don't pay us to come
- 22:01Speaker 2: on our show. We wanted to dive into what they're doing,
- 22:04Speaker 2: learn more about Zimon and really the ecosystems. I know
- 22:07Speaker 2: we have a lot of people in the XRP community
- 22:09Speaker 2: that's been asking about this, so we do try to
- 22:12Speaker 2: get as much as you guys as we can to
- 22:14Speaker 2: get you guys answers. So, Robert, thanks for coming on
- 22:17Speaker 2: the show today. We appreciate all the candid answers.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Thanks a lot.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Thank you for having me Bold You bet all right, So.
