  >> It's very important. I mean, They're a

  good all-around team, but if our

  pitchers do a good job getting those

  guys out and not getting to first base,

  then that creates a better situation for

  us. But I feel like our pitching staff

  does a great job of controlling the

  running game, whether it's picks or

  changing times to the plate, mixing hold

  times, and we have trust in each other

  that we're able to throw anybody out no

  matter when they run.

  >> The crowd is amazing. It really is a

  huge factor that as players we can't

  really control. So, the Auburn family is

  definitely big. It's going to play a

  huge part of how this weekend's going to

  And Chase, from from a leadership role,

  has that changed for you from your

  freshman year to your sophomore year?

  >> Uh, a little bit. I mean, I know I'm not

  one of the legacy guys, but I still try

  and do my part about coaching up some of
• 2:46
  the pitchers and understanding what
• 2:48
  they're what they like to throw and
• 2:50
  stuff like that. And I like to be able
• 2:52
  to share information and share what I

  feel about what we have going on. and I

  just do my best to have everyone's back

  and make sure that we're all in a great

  mindset to go out there and perform on

  the field.

  weekend. Just what have you seen out of

  him? What could he bring, you know, to

  the table if he does get an opportunity?

  >> I mean, he's an incredible person,

  incredible player. I know we haven't

  seen it as much of what kind of player

  he is just from the injury, but out

  there in live at bats the past couple
• 3:21
  weeks, he's been doing some damage. And

  I know we have full confidence in him

  being a great person on and off the

  field to go out there and perform if

  he's called on this weekend.
