Today we're continuing with our walk phrases — Part 3. Let's start with a simple invitation. Luna: Okay, I'm ready. How do I ask someone if they want to go for a walk? Lucas: You say: Ti va di fare una passeggiata? Repeat after me — Ti va di fare una passeggiata? Luna: Ti va di fare una passeggiata? Lucas: Perfect. Ti va di is like 'do you feel like' and fare una passeggiata is 'take a walk'. So it's 'Do you feel like taking a walk?'. Luna: Ti va di fare una passeggiata? That sounds nice. I'd definitely say yes. Lucas: And if you want to comment on the weather, you can say: Che bella giornata! That means 'What a beautiful day!'. Luna: Che bella giornata! I love that. It's so enthusiastic. Lucas: Exactly. Now, if you suggest a destination, say: Andiamo al parco. 'Let's go to the park.' Luna: Andiamo al parco. That's easy. Andiamo is 'let's go', right? Lucas: Right. And if you want to say 'let's walk together', it's: Camminiamo insieme. Luna: Camminiamo insieme. That's a nice phrase. Camminiamo is 'we walk', insieme is 'together'. Lucas: Yes. And the final phrase for today is the reply: Volentieri! Which means 'gladly' or 'with pleasure'. Luna: Volentieri! That's a great word to know. So if someone invites me, I can just say Volentieri.
