- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on you. Uhh, I sure will.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Good morning everybody you are listening to the voice, come
- 0:08Speaker 2: on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got
- 0:12Speaker 2: a radio show.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Man, oh man, oh man. You know what y'all?
- 0:18Speaker 2: I mean, really, the goodness of God is overwhelming if
- 0:21Speaker 2: you think about it, I mean, really really think about it,
- 0:26Speaker 2: even when your circumstance doesn't look so bright, even when
- 0:31Speaker 2: you're going through something that's causing you discomfort, pain, Even
- 0:37Speaker 2: in that, God's goodness is actually overwhelming because don't forget
- 0:45Speaker 2: why you're going through this moment. First of all, this
- 0:49Speaker 2: too shall pass. But also secondly, remember man, ain't everything
- 0:53Speaker 2: else that you've gone through that seems so insurmountable at
- 0:58Speaker 2: the time, didn't you get past that too? I mean,
- 1:03Speaker 2: it's amazing. If you really think about it, you don't
- 1:06Speaker 2: get stuck on any one issue your whole life. The
- 1:10Speaker 2: only people that get stuck on an issue they whole
- 1:14Speaker 2: life is people who won't let it go. That's really
- 1:17Speaker 2: all it is. There are people who exist, and you
- 1:21Speaker 2: may be one of them. Oh please know I've been
- 1:24Speaker 2: guilty of it myself before, but I learned something. There
- 1:27Speaker 2: are things in my past that I just would not
- 1:31Speaker 2: let go of it was done, it was over with.
- 1:34Speaker 2: I was past it, but I I.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Would not let go of it. It was over.
- 1:41Speaker 2: The dude that did it to me didn't exist no more.
- 1:44Speaker 2: The problem that it created didn't exist no more. The
- 1:46Speaker 2: only problem that kept hanging on was I would not
- 1:51Speaker 2: let it go. And man, you can't go forward if
- 1:56Speaker 2: you're gonna keep looking in the past.
- 1:58Speaker 3: It's an impossible thing. It's like driving a car.
- 2:02Speaker 2: If you keep looking only in the rearview mirror while
- 2:05Speaker 2: you're driving, you're going to crash pretty soon. And a
- 2:09Speaker 2: lot of people just keep crashing over and over and
- 2:12Speaker 2: over and over because you won't drive your car you
- 2:16Speaker 2: keep looking in the real view mirror.
- 2:18Speaker 1: At your past.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Oh woe's me? Oh you know they did me like that?
- 2:24Speaker 2: You know I ain't been the same since he cheated
- 2:26Speaker 2: on me. Oh man, ever since she stole my money,
- 2:29Speaker 2: I ain't been the same man she played me, and
- 2:32Speaker 2: ever since that, I done treated women differently. You may
- 2:35Speaker 2: have some deeper stuff going on, but eventually, guess what
- 2:39Speaker 2: do you understand that when you have a relationship God
- 2:42Speaker 2: with God, you can take that to him too and
- 2:46Speaker 2: drop it off and leave it there.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Do you know that He can fix and heal that.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Maybe it's something serious like that that you need fixing
- 2:55Speaker 2: or healing from, a relationship with God can fix and
- 2:58Speaker 2: heal that. But man, come on, y'all, whatever it is,
- 3:04Speaker 2: and I'm not trying to downplay it or make it
- 3:07Speaker 2: act like it wasn't traumatic in.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Your life, because oh God, you don't want to.
- 3:10Speaker 2: You know, you don't want nobody to do that to
- 3:12Speaker 2: you because you want to be the the you know,
- 3:14Speaker 2: the post a child for misery.
- 3:17Speaker 1: So please don't let me take that from you.
- 3:20Speaker 2: If that's your position, that's your hall of Fame card
- 3:23Speaker 2: you hanging on to. I'm the poster child for misery.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Oh no, one is more woe than me than Please
- 3:31Speaker 2: don't let Steve try to take that from you. You
- 3:33Speaker 2: go ahead and hang on to that. But let me
- 3:35Speaker 2: tell you something though. If that's what you're gonna hang
- 3:38Speaker 2: on to, that's what you're gonna always be the poster
- 3:41Speaker 2: child for misery. At one point in time, you're gonna
- 3:44Speaker 2: have to get on and move past it. Sometimes, man,
- 3:47Speaker 2: it's merely a simple thing of taking it to God
- 3:50Speaker 2: and leaving it there. You know, some people don't have
- 3:53Speaker 2: money for therapy. Some people don't even know who to
- 3:56Speaker 2: call for therapy. God is the best psychology in the world.
- 4:01Speaker 2: He can fix it for you. There is nothing too
- 4:04Speaker 2: hard for God. You know when something seems impossible, y'all.
- 4:08Speaker 2: God does the impossible all the time every day. You
- 4:12Speaker 2: won't know how I know. I just look at a
- 4:15Speaker 2: couple basic things. Do you know that that sun comes
- 4:17Speaker 2: up every day in the morning. It comes up in
- 4:20Speaker 2: the east and it sets.
- 4:21Speaker 1: In the west. You can't do nothing about that.
- 4:24Speaker 2: All you can you can wish because you plant at
- 4:27Speaker 2: your flowers on a certain side of your house.
- 4:29Speaker 1: You can wish all you want.
- 4:30Speaker 2: And maybe one day he would bring it up out
- 4:32Speaker 2: the northwest, so those flowers wild. No, now it's gonna
- 4:36Speaker 2: come up out the east. And once the sun hits
- 4:39Speaker 2: the horizon. When you look in the water, like if
- 4:42Speaker 2: you ever out in La and you see the sun
- 4:44Speaker 2: going down. Once the sun once you can visually see
- 4:47Speaker 2: the sun touching the horizon, you have three minutes. You
- 4:52Speaker 2: have exactly three minutes. You can sit there with your watch,
- 4:54Speaker 2: you can time, Yeah, three minutes and it's gone. Three
- 4:58Speaker 2: minutes is gone. I read that somewhere and then I
- 5:01Speaker 2: went and tried it. It's gone every day if it's
- 5:05Speaker 2: clear enough not cloudy. Once the sun touches the horizon.
- 5:09Speaker 2: On water, you got three minutes. When the wind blows,
- 5:14Speaker 2: you can't do nothing about it. He can bring it
- 5:16Speaker 2: from the northeast, he can bring it from the west,
- 5:18Speaker 2: he can bring from the south. He can bring it hard,
- 5:21Speaker 2: he can bring it cool, he can bring it hot.
- 5:23Speaker 2: It's certain things that God does the impossible all the time.
- 5:27Speaker 2: How those stars sitting up there, how can you find
- 5:30Speaker 2: these constellations, the big dipp of the Little Dipper, Ryan
- 5:33Speaker 2: the Hunter, Oh, that's godd Ain't nothing you can do
- 5:36Speaker 2: about it. You can't reach them stars, you can't shoot
- 5:39Speaker 2: at them, you can't move them out the way. Or
- 5:41Speaker 2: Ryan the Hunter's belt, there's gonna beat them three stars
- 5:44Speaker 2: out of ankle.
- 5:45Speaker 1: You can call it what you want to call it.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Still, that's what it is. See, he does the impossible
- 5:49Speaker 2: all the time. He created heaven and earth. You're saying
- 5:54Speaker 2: that God can't get you through your past. Somebody did
- 5:57Speaker 2: this to me. It's the worst thing I had, the
- 6:00Speaker 2: worst childhood of anybody. God can't get you past that.
- 6:04Speaker 2: He can move heaven, mountains, Earth, he can form the
- 6:08Speaker 2: Grand Canyon. He can make the water come over Niagara
- 6:11Speaker 2: Falls twenty four seven. He can't fix yo little bitty
- 6:16Speaker 2: past yours. It's amazing how people make their problems bigger
- 6:21Speaker 2: than God. Somebody told me one time, stop telling God
- 6:26Speaker 2: how big your problems are, and start telling your problems
- 6:30Speaker 2: how big God is, and go on with your life.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Quit driving your car looking in the rear view mirror.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Ain't nothing back there but your past. And if it
- 6:41Speaker 2: was hurtful or painful, or something you just felt like
- 6:45Speaker 2: you can't get over, take your problems to God.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And leave them there.
- 6:48Speaker 3: You hear the old spiritual all you've heard it, Take
- 6:51Speaker 3: your birdens to the.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Lord, leave them yet all the time. But you think
- 6:55Speaker 1: that applies to everyone.
- 6:57Speaker 2: But you come on, man, a lot of people out
- 7:01Speaker 2: there going through much worse than you have and have
- 7:03Speaker 2: overcome it all. Why won't you take the step to
- 7:07Speaker 2: overcome your past so you can get on with driving
- 7:09Speaker 2: your car and see what God trying to take you.
- 7:12Speaker 1: But it's a trick of the enemy. The enemy tricks
- 7:15Speaker 1: you from.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Seeing your future by having you constantly looking in your past.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Man, it's a trick of the devil.
- 7:22Speaker 2: If the devil just let you quit, if he would
- 7:24Speaker 2: just let you get to drive in your car. Look
- 7:27Speaker 2: out into your future. Your future shows hopefulness. You have
- 7:33Speaker 2: hope when you see the future. But he can keep
- 7:36Speaker 2: you in misery if he keep you looking at your
- 7:38Speaker 2: miserable past. God looking for you, man, God would love
- 7:43Speaker 2: to hear from you. Let's spend some time talking to
- 7:46Speaker 2: God today. Hey God, what's happening.
- 7:49Speaker 1: It's me.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I know I ain't talk to you in a while,
- 7:51Speaker 2: but feel bad about that. But I need you.
- 7:54Speaker 1: He know that.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Everybody should say that prayer all the time. It's cool,
- 7:58Speaker 2: all right.
