- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rap An iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing in.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Scrub dub dub in the tub, tub tub.
- 0:20Speaker 2: That was so good. You should have like a Christmas
- 0:23Speaker 2: jingle like.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Like what scrub a scrub dub scrub.
- 0:34Speaker 4: Dumb perfect honestly off the cuff.
- 0:36Speaker 2: That was pretty good, okable more than that good.
- 0:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Right before we started the podcast, Anya like gives me
- 0:48Speaker 2: a look to look at my phone and I was like,
- 0:50Speaker 2: oh no, what is she gonna text me privately? And
- 0:54Speaker 2: it just says I love you show cut. Yeah, it
- 1:01Speaker 2: is cute. It just funny timing.
- 1:04Speaker 3: You know, it's never a bad time to say I
- 1:07Speaker 3: love you exactly.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yes, I agree.
- 1:11Speaker 4: And if there's anything we need right now, it's just love.
- 1:15Speaker 5: The world needs now is love?
- 1:20Speaker 4: Sweet love?
- 1:22Speaker 2: What do you say your love?
- 1:23Speaker 5: Pure love?
- 1:25Speaker 3: Love?
- 1:26Speaker 5: Both sentiments are equally accurate.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, like, yo, there was some good harmony
- 1:31Speaker 2: in there. I have to say, really nice.
- 1:32Speaker 6: Yeah, we've been rehearsing.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty how's it going. How are you doing?
- 1:39Speaker 4: I'm doing just fine? How are you doing?
- 1:42Speaker 2: I'm good? Why? Just fine?
- 1:44Speaker 4: Just dandy? Why the time of year, where like.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Just like lots of plates spinning in the air, you know,
- 1:52Speaker 3: just like spinning this one one.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Let's talk about it.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Wrapping up the work here, you know, get that wrapped up.
- 2:00Speaker 3: So once that plate stops spinning, then that plate can
- 2:03Speaker 3: be put down. Christmas Hanukah gifts, spinning, organizing the day
- 2:07Speaker 3: because we're hosting this year.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Oh wow, like you're hosting the whole fam. Yeah, on
- 2:13Speaker 2: Christmas Day.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Well, Christmas and Honkah happen to fallow the same day
- 2:16Speaker 3: this year. Oh so it feels extra Wow, radigar vibes.
- 2:22Speaker 3: You know, it's giving, it's giving radigar.
- 2:24Speaker 4: So we took it upon ourselves.
- 2:28Speaker 2: So I know, you're just itching to host itching so the.
- 2:32Speaker 5: Way every fifteen years roughly, that's crazy Christmas overlap.
- 2:37Speaker 4: That's crazy. So cool.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Right after y'all get a very important document.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Yes, we're getting our marriage license tomorrow.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Wow, that means that's what makes it like legal, right,
- 2:50Speaker 2: like the wedding is.
- 2:51Speaker 3: So we're just picking it up tomorrow, which apparently isn't
- 2:55Speaker 3: the part that makes it legal. We're just we both
- 2:57Speaker 3: have to be present to pick it up.
- 2:59Speaker 4: So we pick it up.
- 3:00Speaker 3: But then once it's like sign sealed, delivered, then it's official.
- 3:04Speaker 3: So on your own no, no, no, I think we're
- 3:08Speaker 3: gonna do it at the courthouse, which I might need
- 3:10Speaker 3: you to take photos of me.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I need you to work, come be responsible for
- 3:19Speaker 2: getting the shot. Yeah, okay, we'll talk about that.
- 3:24Speaker 4: It's just a little courthouse thing. It's just like quick,
- 3:27Speaker 4: little totally Yeah, just a little john down at the courthouse.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Yeah. That's like the legal binding part of a marriage though, right,
- 3:35Speaker 2: Like the wedding is just simply for show, well a celebration.
- 3:39Speaker 2: You're doing it for like with your friends day, right.
- 3:41Speaker 4: But that's not like that.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yeah, right, Like that's not what's gonna be like.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Just because it's out of the country.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I don't understand in the country.
- 3:48Speaker 5: Now, why do you need someone who's ordained if you're
- 3:49Speaker 5: already married when you sign the documents?
- 3:52Speaker 3: So funny you say that, I don't think that you do. Really, yeah,
- 3:57Speaker 3: I don't think that you do. I think you need
- 3:58Speaker 3: someone ordained it are going to sign your marriage certificate, right,
- 4:02Speaker 3: But I don't think you need someone ordained if they
- 4:04Speaker 3: are not going to sign your marriage.
- 4:06Speaker 5: So when you take it to the courthouse, someone there
- 4:08Speaker 5: will someone who is ordained, that is there, will sign
- 4:09Speaker 5: the marriage certificate IMST like a notary public.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I think we're still deciding if we're going to do
- 4:14Speaker 3: that or if if there is a way to actually
- 4:17Speaker 3: have like the the Mexico one be legit.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Still trying to figure it out.
- 4:23Speaker 5: But isn't Ryan officiating? Yeah, and he has ordained yes,
- 4:27Speaker 5: would he count on the on the marriage certificate, Yes.
- 4:31Speaker 4: He would go.
- 4:32Speaker 3: But there's something different when you take when you do
- 4:34Speaker 3: it out of the country that I'm not quite sure
- 4:36Speaker 3: the legality.
- 4:38Speaker 4: There's a lot of steps involved with these things.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Yeah, got to really read the fine print.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:47Speaker 4: I was just for getting your marriage license.
- 4:48Speaker 3: You have to like put I was like putting it
- 4:50Speaker 3: says asked for your parents maiden names and stuff. I
- 4:53Speaker 3: put my mom's married last name and then realized that
- 4:55Speaker 3: was wrong.
- 4:56Speaker 4: So I had to go back and chat you know
- 4:57Speaker 4: what I mean? Oh, I don't even know.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean feels like I mean that would be
- 5:03Speaker 2: medical documents too. You need the right.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Names, maiden names of my mother and when she was
- 5:09Speaker 3: born and where.
- 5:11Speaker 5: I think everyone knows that, don't they That's not common knowledge?
- 5:14Speaker 3: Well I know, but why does the court need to
- 5:17Speaker 3: know that I'm getting married, not my mom.
- 5:19Speaker 5: By the way, do you know my mother's maiden name?
- 5:21Speaker 2: Oh?
- 5:22Speaker 5: Because it is? It is relevant? Oh my life?
- 5:25Speaker 2: Yes, your mom?
- 5:26Speaker 5: Oh time you might remember.
- 5:28Speaker 2: I have no idea, so this will be a guess.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Can you can tell me what starts with?
- 5:32Speaker 5: Okay?
- 5:33Speaker 4: Okay, that's it.
- 5:35Speaker 5: Wow. My mother's maiden name is Kiss. Because of that,
- 5:39Speaker 5: we had some friends who lived in California. I grew
- 5:41Speaker 5: up in Wisconsin, and so she brought me a one
- 5:43Speaker 5: oh two point seven Kiss FM bumper sticker. Because my
- 5:47Speaker 5: mother's maiden name is Kiss. Look, there's a Kiss FM.
- 5:50Speaker 5: And now I've been working at Kiss FM by years.
- 5:53Speaker 2: That's kind of wild.
- 5:54Speaker 6: And what was the name of your first pet? You're
- 5:58Speaker 6: just trying to get into your email?
- 6:02Speaker 4: Spelled k I, I asked.
- 6:05Speaker 5: And by the way, they also know it was This
- 6:07Speaker 5: is the end of the weeds. It was changed at
- 6:09Speaker 5: Ellis Island when her ancestors came to America. But no
- 6:13Speaker 5: one knows why the word kiss was chosen as a
- 6:15Speaker 5: last name, because it's like Apotovski or something. When they
- 6:19Speaker 5: got here and it changed a kiss, and no one
- 6:21Speaker 5: knows why. And I wonder if there was you know,
- 6:24Speaker 5: some shadiness, right, yeah, right, maybe there was some kissing
- 6:28Speaker 5: to kind of breach the wheels.
- 6:29Speaker 2: That's interesting. Well, I feel excited that I got that right.
- 6:39Speaker 5: You did.
- 6:41Speaker 6: Very impressive.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Thank you had it.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Okay, thank you.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Speaking of Ryan, you went to a Wheel of Fortune
- 6:52Speaker 2: like a life tap being. Did we already talk about
- 6:55Speaker 2: the scrubber whose husband went on? No, because this was epic.
- 7:01Speaker 2: It's so epic because you tell the story, because he shouted.
- 7:05Speaker 3: You out, yes, but because it was because Ryan hosts
- 7:08Speaker 3: spoiler alert, Wheel of Fortune.
- 7:10Speaker 4: He's the new host going on in September.
- 7:14Speaker 5: Oh my god, I have the audio after you set
- 7:16Speaker 5: it up. I have the audio from Wheel of Fortune.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Okay, So this scrubs bind a I know his name
- 7:24Speaker 3: is Jared. He went on as a contestant and his
- 7:27Speaker 3: wife is a huge scrubber and she listens to Kiss FM,
- 7:29Speaker 3: and so she was like, you have to shout her
- 7:31Speaker 3: out when you're talking to him.
- 7:34Speaker 5: Yes, correct, Didy'll get to know you.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it is.
- 7:39Speaker 5: Here's what he said.
- 7:40Speaker 1: You also are a big fan of a woman that
- 7:42Speaker 1: works with me on Kiss FM in the Morning's here
- 7:43Speaker 1: in La Who is a podcast that.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Is true so again, my wife would kill me if
- 7:47Speaker 4: I didn't take the chance to do this.
- 7:49Speaker 2: So she is a huge Tanya rad fan and she
- 7:52Speaker 2: wanted me to let you know that so you can
- 7:53Speaker 2: say hello to her.
- 7:54Speaker 1: For well, I can hear Tanya screaming. Now she's not nearby,
- 7:57Speaker 1: but I know she's screaming right now. Thank you for
- 8:00Speaker 1: the fan ship, she says.
- 8:01Speaker 5: I'm sure, thank you.
- 8:06Speaker 2: But the cold part was that at the end when
- 8:08Speaker 2: they were saying goodbye.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Yeah, thanks for scrubbing in podcast.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Yeah, there, that was such a good plug.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Yeah. I was like, do people know what he's referencing?
- 8:22Speaker 2: We don't know, but that's okay.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Don't know. Somebody did a little Google search while they were.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Did a quick little Google numbers of skyrockets rocketed.
- 8:34Speaker 2: That was really fun though.
- 8:35Speaker 4: It was so fun. That was like iconic.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Well, I don't know, I think I told you this,
- 8:39Speaker 3: but one of the main producers of the show is
- 8:41Speaker 3: a huge scrubber.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Yes, yes, but so you went. Is that why you
- 8:46Speaker 2: went to the show?
- 8:47Speaker 4: That's yeah, yeah, yeah, that's why I hit her up
- 8:49Speaker 4: because he was.
- 8:52Speaker 3: He's got so much going on the last thing he
- 8:53Speaker 3: needs is me being like, ha, excuse me? Going to
- 8:55Speaker 3: get my party of eight into Fortune. True, But one
- 8:59Speaker 3: of our kid's best friends moms is like obsessed. She's
- 9:05Speaker 3: like been obsessed with of fortune since she was like
- 9:07Speaker 3: a kid. Yeah, and she's like one of those moms
- 9:09Speaker 3: that like really steps up, Like she always like whenever
- 9:13Speaker 3: we can't pick them up from something, she'll take her
- 9:15Speaker 3: take them to her house and we'll pick her pick
- 9:16Speaker 3: them up from there. You know, like one of those moms.
- 9:19Speaker 3: And so I really wanted to do something nice for her,
- 9:21Speaker 3: and so she was like she was so happy.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Did y'all get to say hey to Ryan? Yeah?
- 9:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was really cool.
- 9:28Speaker 3: And they have like a little museum on the lot
- 9:33Speaker 3: and there's like a Breaking Bad section and you know
- 9:35Speaker 3: how obsessing with breaking bad.
- 9:37Speaker 4: So that I know.
- 9:40Speaker 3: And they have the air stream where they like make
- 9:42Speaker 3: the drugs, but I didn't go to it.
- 9:46Speaker 2: You didn't make drugs.
- 9:47Speaker 3: We did not go to the air stream with because
- 9:50Speaker 3: we had the kids with us.
- 9:55Speaker 5: Well, let's give a shout to Jared and Taylor Collier.
- 10:02Speaker 3: So low, I know, way to put scrubbing in on
- 10:06Speaker 3: the national nationally syndicated television map.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Like I'm literally thinking, was my grandma like, what did
- 10:12Speaker 2: my grandma have it on?
- 10:13Speaker 5: And say that?
- 10:14Speaker 2: Did you even realize that that was a reference to me?
- 10:18Speaker 4: You maybe to ask, but you had a busy weekend.
- 10:22Speaker 2: I did have a busy. Did I have a busy?
- 10:25Speaker 2: It was mixed.
- 10:26Speaker 4: You went to like a gala Gaelic.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I did, but that was just one day.
- 10:29Speaker 4: Well that's a lot.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, getting dressed up like that as a
- 10:32Speaker 2: whole process.
- 10:33Speaker 4: The whole process is it.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Starts early and it ends like green face and no, no,
- 10:39Speaker 2: but actually you know what, I'm going to the Sonic
- 10:42Speaker 2: premiere tonight, the Sonic the Hedgehog premiere.
- 10:46Speaker 5: No You're not.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Why are you doing that?
- 10:50Speaker 2: Because I'm going with Okay, So the girls that that
- 10:53Speaker 2: you met Avanti.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Yeah, cutest thing ever ever.
- 10:56Speaker 2: The girls. There's three girls that work the Paramount like
- 10:59Speaker 2: social stuff, and I'm obsessed with them. I've gotten to
- 11:03Speaker 2: do so many fun things because they invite me. And
- 11:07Speaker 2: I'm always like how did they invite me? Because it's always
- 11:09Speaker 2: these like really relevant popular TikTokers. It's me and I'm
- 11:12Speaker 2: like they're like twenty year old and I'm just like hey,
- 11:15Speaker 2: like I'm like the audio it's like hung out dude.
- 11:19Speaker 4: But you know into Clare we have a fam yes.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Yeah, a moment of silence in the we all found exactly.
- 11:32Speaker 2: So anyways, I'm going with for that and so just
- 11:36Speaker 2: with them. No, Easton's going with me.
- 11:40Speaker 5: Oh my god, I'm so excited.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Wow, so jampship going with my family to go with that.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Confirm I've heard you're not confirmed.
- 11:47Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, we're not going. Oh oh yeah, but he
- 11:51Speaker 4: was gonna come.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Watch with us.
- 11:52Speaker 6: Yes, I wanted to see Sonic with not by myself,
- 11:55Speaker 6: an Tony was very kind to invite me along. When
- 11:58Speaker 6: they went, there wasn't a set dated.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I got two extra tickets, so I told Easton he
- 12:02Speaker 2: could bring someone if he wants. And yeah, So anyways,
- 12:06Speaker 2: one of the Sonnic permier to nights. So they were like,
- 12:09Speaker 2: the idea that they gave me for Creator like for
- 12:13Speaker 2: real was to dress up Sonic the Hedgehog or Shadow
- 12:18Speaker 2: who is the best friend, best friend, the red bad one, oh,
- 12:24Speaker 2: the bad guy. Okay, anyways, I was like, did y'all
- 12:27Speaker 2: get this idea? Because I dressed his alba And they're like, yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 2: you guys, that was one off.
- 12:34Speaker 4: Are you going to do it? No? No, But like
- 12:39Speaker 4: you could wear the blue color.
- 12:41Speaker 2: So what I decided. My original idea was that I
- 12:45Speaker 2: was going to try and find like the mascot, like
- 12:48Speaker 2: cost mascot, but they were like, they'll actually be there
- 12:53Speaker 2: on the carpet. I think, like the actual Sonic mascot.
- 12:56Speaker 5: So I thought about me, why they say don't dress
- 12:59Speaker 5: up princess when you go to Disneyland if you're of
- 13:01Speaker 5: a certain age, because people are gonna think you're official.
- 13:03Speaker 2: And I don't know that was crazy.
- 13:05Speaker 4: I didn't either.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Anyways, I thought it would be so funny if y'all
- 13:09Speaker 2: went and I was like talking to y'all and you
- 13:11Speaker 2: didn't know what was me. So anyways, I tried to
- 13:15Speaker 2: source a mascot costume and I couldn't find one. So
- 13:19Speaker 2: I have that.
- 13:20Speaker 4: You know what you either do though?
- 13:21Speaker 2: What so?
- 13:22Speaker 3: Party City has a lot of pinnatas with Sonic on them.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Say that word.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Patas so you can cut the bottom out and like
- 13:32Speaker 3: put that on your head.
- 13:33Speaker 2: That feels cozy.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Photo.
- 13:40Speaker 3: They're giant, much bigger than your head, three times the
- 13:43Speaker 3: size of your head.
- 13:44Speaker 4: The pinatas.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Pinata, the pinata.
- 13:55Speaker 4: The piatas are very big and round.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I get it, but I'm saying the wit of them big. No,
- 14:02Speaker 2: they're typically quite thin.
- 14:03Speaker 4: No, No, definitely not like Sonic's body.
- 14:07Speaker 2: There's no need to talk about this because I'm not
- 14:09Speaker 2: gonna do it, but it's a great suggestion, just to
- 14:13Speaker 2: hear you say.
- 14:16Speaker 3: I have many a Sonic piatas in my day. Let
- 14:19Speaker 3: me tell you so.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Anyways, I think I'm just gonna try and dress in
- 14:22Speaker 2: the colors of Sonic. The blue, yeah, like blue and black.
- 14:26Speaker 4: Or you could be the yellow one.
- 14:30Speaker 2: What's their name?
- 14:32Speaker 4: Tails?
- 14:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I don't really have a lot of yellow.
- 14:37Speaker 5: Going to be the voice of wish.
- 14:39Speaker 4: I've been stalking Tails voiceover on Instagram.
- 14:42Speaker 2: No, you need a new character. You can't come in
- 14:44Speaker 2: and be a character that's already astablished.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Since she's already established. But it feels like it could
- 14:48Speaker 3: have happened. Like I feel like Tails could have been me.
- 14:51Speaker 2: You could be you know what your name could be?
- 14:54Speaker 2: Fie for efflorescent.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Well, I think they already have names. The Hedgehog.
- 15:01Speaker 6: I'm telling you, Amy Rose, I think that's the perfect
- 15:04Speaker 6: Hedgehog for you. After Shadow is introduced, we're getting into
- 15:09Speaker 6: the extended Sonic lore now, so I think Amy's forthcoming.
- 15:12Speaker 5: So she's not better in the movies.
- 15:14Speaker 6: I've seen that one find out.
- 15:17Speaker 5: Let's hear a little Amy Rose.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Well, I need a line. I can't just like, come on,
- 15:23Speaker 4: come on, Sonic.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I don't know what we knew.
- 15:27Speaker 6: Here's here's a name. Why not just give up? You're
- 15:31Speaker 6: starting to make me really mad?
- 15:32Speaker 4: Okay, give me a little bit of background on her.
- 15:36Speaker 6: Uh, she's a she's Sonic's friend. Let's see.
- 15:41Speaker 5: What's a major crush on Sonic?
- 15:44Speaker 2: Here?
- 15:45Speaker 4: What's my line?
- 15:47Speaker 6: Why not just give up? You're starting to make me really.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Mad, Sonic? Why not just give up? You're starting to
- 15:53Speaker 4: make me mad.
- 15:55Speaker 5: It's a little flirty, that's the whole point. I know.
- 15:58Speaker 5: But it's a little bit like bedroom flirty.
- 16:00Speaker 2: A little more Yeah, it needs.
- 16:01Speaker 5: To be a little more Hedgehog, a little more Hedgehog
- 16:05Speaker 5: and less sexual.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Come on, Sonic, let's get out of the way.
- 16:14Speaker 4: They all say.
- 16:19Speaker 6: You'll be happy to know that Amy Rose is canonically
- 16:21Speaker 6: a Taylor Swift fan.
- 16:26Speaker 2: His role was made for me.
- 16:28Speaker 6: Someone drew her ass. Taylor Swift?
- 16:33Speaker 2: Where am I going to tonight?
- 16:35Speaker 4: Have you seen one?
- 16:36Speaker 2: And two? No?
- 16:38Speaker 4: So good?
- 16:39Speaker 5: So good?
- 16:40Speaker 2: The only thing I know about Song of the Hedgehog
- 16:41Speaker 2: is that I played the Sega game. Yeah, I love that.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, that's so funny.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I know.
- 16:51Speaker 4: But anyway, so yeah, where are we going with all this?
- 16:55Speaker 2: I guess talking about events or something. I don't know.
- 16:57Speaker 4: You're a gay La Gallo this weekend and it.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Was for It was the Unforgettable Gala, which was honoring
- 17:05Speaker 2: like it's an it's an award for Asian Americans, And
- 17:08Speaker 2: it was so amazing because it was really cool to
- 17:12Speaker 2: be in a room with so many people, like Haley
- 17:15Speaker 2: was even saying, just like being a part of like
- 17:18Speaker 2: the Asian American community and like being in a room
- 17:20Speaker 2: full of people and hearing them talk about the you know,
- 17:24Speaker 2: the the struggle to be seen as like the lead
- 17:28Speaker 2: characters and things and not just like the side characters
- 17:31Speaker 2: and like having to fight for the roles. It was
- 17:34Speaker 2: just so inspiring and I was I was like, so,
- 17:37Speaker 2: I had no idea that it was such a huge deal,
- 17:40Speaker 2: And it was every year.
- 17:41Speaker 4: Yea, in the first year that i'd like seen it
- 17:43Speaker 4: on socials.
- 17:44Speaker 2: No, they've been doing it for years, like a long time,
- 17:47Speaker 2: almost twenty something years. But if you think about it,
- 17:52Speaker 2: Michelle Yo was the first Asian American woman to win
- 17:55Speaker 2: an Oscar for Best Actress.
- 17:57Speaker 4: I know.
- 17:57Speaker 2: And so if you think about it, being in a
- 18:00Speaker 2: room full of people who are who are winning these
- 18:02Speaker 2: awards now and getting the recognition they deserve was like
- 18:05Speaker 2: such a massive deal. But they haven't had the gotten
- 18:08Speaker 2: the recognition that they deserve.
- 18:10Speaker 3: But the fact you said that they've been doing this
- 18:12Speaker 3: for twenty years and this is literally the first year
- 18:14Speaker 3: I've ever seen it on social media.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, it's crazy, I've heard of it. Well.
- 18:19Speaker 2: I was really like freaking out because I think Sandra
- 18:23Speaker 2: was at the last year, and I thought she was
- 18:24Speaker 2: going to be there and I was so I was
- 18:26Speaker 2: like anxious of what I was going to say to
- 18:28Speaker 2: her if I saw her. But then right when we
- 18:30Speaker 2: got there, I was like, oh was Sandra coming, and
- 18:33Speaker 2: the girls like, oh, no, she can't make it this year.
- 18:36Speaker 2: But it was I could like relax, right, It's like,
- 18:40Speaker 2: I don't know what I would say to her.
- 18:42Speaker 4: You have to say something.
- 18:44Speaker 2: I'd have to say something, and I just don't know
- 18:46Speaker 2: what it would have been. So I would have had
- 18:49Speaker 2: to like really be brave and maybe drunk. But we did.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Nicholasche and Vanessola Shame were there and Haley told Nick.
- 18:58Speaker 4: She was like, oh my gosh, I feed myself when
- 19:01Speaker 4: she posted.
- 19:01Speaker 2: That I had a poster review on my wall growing
- 19:04Speaker 2: up and then I became a raging lesbian. And he
- 19:07Speaker 2: was like, oh, that's the response. I can remember what
- 19:13Speaker 2: he said. I you could tell he was like, up
- 19:15Speaker 2: and then like.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Your poster all over my wall and he was like yes,
- 19:20Speaker 3: and she's like, and now I'm a raging lesbian.
- 19:22Speaker 2: He's like, we were dying because then she pulled it
- 19:26Speaker 2: around and she's like, but then I realized it was
- 19:28Speaker 2: because I wanted to be you, because you had so
- 19:30Speaker 2: many girls that like were obsessed with you and loved you,
- 19:33Speaker 2: and so we were all like, oh yeah. But they
- 19:38Speaker 2: performed ninety eight degrees performed at the end and it
- 19:41Speaker 2: was so fun. They did like choreo and stuff. It
- 19:45Speaker 2: was amazing.
- 19:46Speaker 3: I feel like Lche and Vanessa la Che don't get
- 19:48Speaker 3: a lot of the credit that they.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Deserve in what way. I like them a lot there
- 19:54Speaker 2: I didn't. I've met her multiple times and she is
- 19:57Speaker 2: the kind like one of the nicest people.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Yeah, And I feel like they just got like poopooed
- 20:02Speaker 3: on for that one bad reunion from Love Is Blind?
- 20:07Speaker 3: Do you not remember that? It was like mayhem. People
- 20:09Speaker 3: were like petitioning to get them off his host, like
- 20:12Speaker 3: it was so bad and like people can't let it go.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I'm like, guys, you're trying to do better.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Who doesn't get poo pooed on on on social media? Really?
- 20:21Speaker 4: That's true.
- 20:22Speaker 5: It all comes back to Love.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Is Blind always does, it always does.
- 20:27Speaker 3: But yeah, you know what else that comes back to?
- 20:29Speaker 3: Why does it come back to Selena Gomez. Oh, we
- 20:32Speaker 3: we'll get into that.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Yes, when we come back, we come back. All right,
- 20:56Speaker 2: we are back. So Selena Gomez engaged.
- 21:01Speaker 4: I know so much happened after our podcast last week.
- 21:03Speaker 4: I feel like it was just like so much. What
- 21:07Speaker 4: else happened?
- 21:08Speaker 3: Selena Gomez got engaged, Taylor Swift celebrated a birthday. It
- 21:12Speaker 3: was Friday the thirteenth, and he went to a gala galley.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Ye, yeah, we already talked about that though.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I went to the snow at Century City Mall. So
- 21:20Speaker 3: much has happened, So much happened in quick week.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Well, Selena getting engaged, I'm just I feel so happy
- 21:27Speaker 2: for her.
- 21:28Speaker 3: It was like I feel like there's like a collective
- 21:30Speaker 3: high in the world because he's engaged.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Yeah. My favorite thing about it was that there was
- 21:35Speaker 2: taco bell on the blanket in the picture.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Do you have you guys seen all the conspiracy theories
- 21:41Speaker 3: saying that they got paid for that taco bell?
- 21:43Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 21:44Speaker 3: No, I'm like, there's no chance in hell that either
- 21:50Speaker 3: one of them is using their proposal as some sort of.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Whatever it's called.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Beside I do it not when you're them, No.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Not when you're them.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not beneath us.
- 22:04Speaker 4: We're just saying it is beneath Benny and Selena.
- 22:09Speaker 2: It was like fuzzy though, like you had to really
- 22:11Speaker 2: like zoom in.
- 22:12Speaker 4: No, it wasn't fuzzy at all.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Are you kidding? T both of her stickers sticky having
- 22:20Speaker 2: to be ripped.
- 22:22Speaker 5: You know what's funny is if you said a couple
- 22:23Speaker 5: of years ago, like, hey, you guys, Selena Gomeo is
- 22:25Speaker 5: going to be engaged to Benny Blanco in a couple
- 22:27Speaker 5: of years, you know, have a very uh interesting reaction
- 22:30Speaker 5: and very different to the reaction from now. Mind you
- 22:33Speaker 5: you're zoomed in like a thousand.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Times, but like, okay, honestly, it is kind of clear
- 22:37Speaker 2: and facing yeah.
- 22:40Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I'm in on this conspiracy. Yeah I really
- 22:44Speaker 6: want not just right.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Now, that might be lunch and the looks of it,
- 22:50Speaker 2: yeah Mexican, Uh, not just about Grande in a Mexican pizza.
- 22:54Speaker 2: The ring is stunning.
- 22:56Speaker 4: It's stunning.
- 22:57Speaker 3: And did you see her song I just want to
- 23:00Speaker 3: look good for it?
- 23:02Speaker 4: Good for She was I'm on I'm on my Marquee diamond.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I'm a Marquee Diamond.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Yeah she does say that. Wow, is that how he
- 23:09Speaker 2: got the idea? You think I can't.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Imagine from the song? I imagine that was maybe her
- 23:15Speaker 3: I dream like engagement ring.
- 23:17Speaker 2: That's what I was gonna ask. Do you think Selena
- 23:18Speaker 2: Gomez was like, here my dream like, this is my
- 23:22Speaker 2: dream ring? Or do you think he just did it
- 23:24Speaker 2: himself hisself himself?
- 23:26Speaker 5: H Okay, you're good. I think Benny's a romantic guy. Yeah, no,
- 23:32Speaker 5: he pulled off himself.
- 23:33Speaker 3: But I don't think he's like listening to the lyrics
- 23:35Speaker 3: of her songs. I'm sure like she's mentioned it quite
- 23:38Speaker 3: a few times that like a Marquee diamond is her
- 23:40Speaker 3: favorite listen.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I haven't considered a Marquee diamond, but I know it's gorgeous.
- 23:47Speaker 2: That's a big deal. That's like taking up the bottom. Yeah,
- 23:51Speaker 2: that's big, taken up the whole bottom portion of her fingers.
- 23:54Speaker 4: It's nice.
- 23:55Speaker 3: So I have like fat knuckles, So if anyone has
- 23:58Speaker 3: fat knuckles, I feel like a Marquie. Di'mond not saying
- 24:00Speaker 3: that she does. I'm just saying in general, I feel
- 24:03Speaker 3: like it's nice to have like a long diamond versus
- 24:05Speaker 3: like a circular one.
- 24:07Speaker 5: Pretty yeah, your Hedgehog fat knuckles.
- 24:11Speaker 4: Fat knuckles, read them and weep all those years of Kraken.
- 24:16Speaker 2: I'm just really happy for her, I know, I like, honestly,
- 24:19Speaker 2: I'm obsessed with her.
- 24:20Speaker 3: I couldn't get over it. There was like this weird
- 24:22Speaker 3: feel like. So I saw it and I texted Herquel
- 24:26Speaker 3: right away. I was like, she's engaged, and she was
- 24:29Speaker 3: with her. They were like all over there, and she
- 24:32Speaker 3: was like, I know, like and I feel like Selena
- 24:35Speaker 3: Is is a little bit like me in the sense
- 24:38Speaker 3: that we love love, like we've just like always like
- 24:42Speaker 3: that's like just been such a thing, you know what
- 24:45Speaker 3: I mean. And so I feel like when she got engaged,
- 24:47Speaker 3: I don't know why. I just felt so like beyond
- 24:50Speaker 3: happy for her and like I couldn't stop looking at
- 24:53Speaker 3: the photos and like texting and just like I was
- 24:57Speaker 3: so obsessed with it that night.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Did you get to say hi to her? Well?
- 25:02Speaker 3: I was texting her through where cal was with her
- 25:04Speaker 3: and she was like telling her all again. Then I
- 25:05Speaker 3: sent her a texting congratulations and like this is the
- 25:08Speaker 3: best time ever.
- 25:09Speaker 4: And wow, yeah, very exciting. It's so exciting.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Do you think what if Field did a double wedding.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Well, mine's kind of already planned.
- 25:20Speaker 5: Get in. Yeah, it's fine. A second to her fast,
- 25:25Speaker 5: I like it.
- 25:25Speaker 4: He'll fast. Let them have their engagement.
- 25:28Speaker 5: Hear an iHeart, Oh my god, double wedding right here
- 25:31Speaker 5: at the radio station.
- 25:32Speaker 6: Probably by Taco Bell, Live Mos Forever and Ever Live Moss.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Wait, I didn't see the Taylor so said, yes, I'll
- 25:40Speaker 2: be the flower. You didn't see that.
- 25:42Speaker 4: It's so cute. You know what else?
- 25:45Speaker 2: Like Taylor Swift finishes the arras tour right and you're
- 25:49Speaker 2: thinking she's got to go home and sleep for days.
- 25:52Speaker 5: No love what you're about to say here she goes.
- 25:54Speaker 2: To the children's hospital.
- 25:55Speaker 5: Those studios were incredible.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and I don't care what people people like? What
- 25:59Speaker 2: I ever? She did it so that people will talk
- 26:01Speaker 2: about how good, whatever the reason, I don't care, because
- 26:06Speaker 2: I have all the time in the world and I'm
- 26:08Speaker 2: not doing that right. And she, you know, is just
- 26:12Speaker 2: like exhausted coming off of the biggest show in history,
- 26:15Speaker 2: and that's what she chose to do, and so personable
- 26:19Speaker 2: in all the videos I saw making tiktoks.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Loving the time. Did not feel I did not feel
- 26:25Speaker 3: like she was rushed. I don't know, didn't feel like
- 26:27Speaker 3: she was on her way out.
- 26:29Speaker 5: Really spending time time with each patient. Yes, amazing, she
- 26:33Speaker 5: was just like once.
- 26:34Speaker 2: In a lifetime.
- 26:35Speaker 4: Really, I know it is. I know, you're so right.
- 26:38Speaker 4: I forgot that.
- 26:39Speaker 3: I mean, I didn't forget that she just finished her tour.
- 26:41Speaker 3: But I saw those videos. I thought they were very sweet,
- 26:43Speaker 3: but like thinking of kind of where she is in
- 26:45Speaker 3: her mental state of just like, let me sleep without
- 26:48Speaker 3: an alarm for the next five weeks, you know, no,
- 26:51Speaker 3: not put makeup on?
- 26:52Speaker 2: Yeah no, no, she don't be sleeping or not putting
- 26:57Speaker 2: makeup on. She'd be out there, okay, are you done shopping?
- 27:06Speaker 4: No?
- 27:06Speaker 2: Oh no, are you no? Not even close?
- 27:09Speaker 4: I know. And the mall is crazy town.
- 27:12Speaker 2: And Christmas is next week.
- 27:15Speaker 4: What happened this year?
- 27:18Speaker 2: What happened because from literally October, from October first to
- 27:24Speaker 2: now is like.
- 27:25Speaker 4: A blink of an eye, snap a snap.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Is that just getting older? Does this happen as we
- 27:31Speaker 2: get older or is this specific to this year?
- 27:34Speaker 3: So I feel like I've read some conspiracy theories.
- 27:37Speaker 2: About this, not.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Conspiracy, but theories that because Thanksgiving was later this year,
- 27:45Speaker 3: it was like a week then a year, yeah, than
- 27:48Speaker 3: it usually is, it's made the holidays feel crammed.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but that was typically there's not a full month
- 27:56Speaker 2: in between Halloween and Thanksgiving, and it was a full
- 27:59Speaker 2: month in between those too. I just made Christmas and Thanksgiving,
- 28:02Speaker 2: Phil Rush, Yes, correct either way. When I had the
- 28:07Speaker 2: moment when I had the realization that Christmas is.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Next week, so now I went to worse up online
- 28:13Speaker 3: and it's not getting to me.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Before Christmas, I was like, MoMA's got to go into
- 28:16Speaker 4: the stores.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Now I know I gotta go.
- 28:19Speaker 4: She gotta be going door to door.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Shoot, and it's crazy out there.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Crazy. I went last night.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, So I met a scrubber last night.
- 28:27Speaker 3: So she starts off, She's like, I'm a scrubber.
- 28:31Speaker 4: I was like, thank you.
- 28:31Speaker 2: So much.
- 28:32Speaker 4: That's so kind, and she goes, I also grew up
- 28:34Speaker 4: listening to you.
- 28:36Speaker 6: Oh.
- 28:37Speaker 3: I was like, how old are you?
- 28:42Speaker 4: Twenty four?
- 28:43Speaker 5: Oh wow, so yeah you were. She was like ten
- 28:48Speaker 5: when you're in the morning show.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, it's giving. Daisy grew up watching me. Yeah, yeah,
- 28:56Speaker 2: I grew too.
- 28:57Speaker 4: I was like, oh so I oh that's I mean,
- 29:00Speaker 4: it was so sweet.
- 29:00Speaker 5: I love her.
- 29:02Speaker 4: It is like whatever.
- 29:03Speaker 3: But I get home that night and I got this
- 29:05Speaker 3: like infrared light thing that was like in one of
- 29:07Speaker 3: I get bags at like a holiday party that I
- 29:09Speaker 3: went to, and I opened that bad boy Chargers or
- 29:15Speaker 3: I'm like, you're gonna grow up.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Listening to this.
- 29:19Speaker 5: I also met Scrubbers last night, if I may, if
- 29:21Speaker 5: I might mention them, I was in the lobby at
- 29:23Speaker 5: Wicked at the Pantagious Theater. This is a live show,
- 29:26Speaker 5: was not the not the movie. If you don't know
- 29:27Speaker 5: what Pantagious Theater is, that was the deal. So it
- 29:31Speaker 5: was Marlene and Nancy. I was with my family and
- 29:35Speaker 5: my daughter's boyfriend and Mark Margo. Oh do I know
- 29:37Speaker 5: someone here? No scrubbers, just scrubbers there. Took a picture
- 29:41Speaker 5: and they couldn't have been lovelier. Obviously there's scrubbers.
- 29:44Speaker 2: When they yeah, what do you think of the musical phenomenal?
- 29:49Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, so great. And also it was great because
- 29:52Speaker 5: I saw that musical We're going to guess two thousand
- 29:55Speaker 5: and seven or eight, okay, when it was like first
- 29:57Speaker 5: of the Pantagious Theater with like I remember Meghan Hilty
- 30:01Speaker 5: was Glenda Wow.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Oh wow, yeah.
- 30:03Speaker 4: I just had a yeah anyway.
- 30:05Speaker 5: Uh says a long time ago, and I remember nothing.
- 30:06Speaker 5: I remember nothing of Act two. Act two was like
- 30:09Speaker 5: I'd never seen it in my life. So I was like, oh,
- 30:11Speaker 5: the Scarecrow, look at all that times together. How I've
- 30:14Speaker 5: seen this before? I had zero recollection of it. So
- 30:16Speaker 5: it was great. It was like it's brand new, and
- 30:18Speaker 5: now I know what to expect in the movie next year,
- 30:20Speaker 5: which they're gonna have to pad because the second act
- 30:22Speaker 5: is like an hour.
- 30:23Speaker 2: It flies by. They added two songs, they wrote two
- 30:25Speaker 2: songs forby great. I felt the same way. And when
- 30:29Speaker 2: Alphaba goes up into the air for defining gravity during
- 30:32Speaker 2: the musical, chill inducing.
- 30:34Speaker 4: Every time every time I gotta see it.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Yeah, you need to go. It's really cool.
- 30:37Speaker 5: I got.
- 30:38Speaker 4: I just feel like it's that time of year where like.
- 30:42Speaker 3: You don't just go out to one event every night,
- 30:44Speaker 3: there's like multiple events every night.
- 30:47Speaker 4: Yes, like whatever, I can't remember what night it was.
- 30:49Speaker 3: But uh, our kid had a band winter recital. Yeah,
- 30:55Speaker 3: and I had a holiday party the same night, So
- 30:57Speaker 3: I like went to one quick change in the car.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Show biz baby in the to the other. Yeah.
- 31:04Speaker 4: It was like dang, like we're we're in that, We're
- 31:07Speaker 4: in that phase of life. Yeah, lots of activities, lots
- 31:11Speaker 4: of activities for the children and for yourself.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Correct, what do you all do for Christmas? Like, because
- 31:15Speaker 2: you do you do Chrismica.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Well, this is the first year that we're really doing
- 31:19Speaker 4: christmaa because they fall on the same day.
- 31:22Speaker 2: So but you get them because they get multiple gifts, right,
- 31:25Speaker 2: isn't that the tradition of like.
- 31:27Speaker 3: So everybody does it differently is when I've gathered, it's
- 31:30Speaker 3: not like universal things. Some people give them like they're
- 31:34Speaker 3: all their gifts the first night of Honkahs. Some do
- 31:36Speaker 3: all their gifts the last night of honicas. Some do
- 31:38Speaker 3: one gift each night of Hankkah.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you've done that.
- 31:41Speaker 5: We do.
- 31:42Speaker 4: We did it every.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Night that we had them on honkkah, oh, I see,
- 31:46Speaker 3: I see it.
- 31:46Speaker 4: Yeah, so rounds out to about like three or four gifts.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Do they get to are they still just asking for
- 31:52Speaker 2: what they want? Like it's the same thing as like
- 31:53Speaker 2: Christmas or do y'all just.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Kind of yeah, But they're at the age where like.
- 31:58Speaker 3: You know, like there's an age where they go for
- 32:00Speaker 3: toys to not wanting toys anymore, you know what I mean.
- 32:04Speaker 2: So like sad shift in life when toy like when
- 32:06Speaker 2: you leave the toy.
- 32:07Speaker 4: Face, they're not in the toy like they want to
- 32:09Speaker 4: keep the room.
- 32:11Speaker 5: She had a birthday, I think it was, and she
- 32:12Speaker 5: got a bunch of stuff for her birthday. They were
- 32:14Speaker 5: not toys and it made her cry. And she was
- 32:16Speaker 5: appreciative and very happy with what she did get, but
- 32:19Speaker 5: she was like the fact they don't get toys anymore
- 32:20Speaker 5: makes me sad.
- 32:21Speaker 2: No. I remember my sister and I would play Beanie
- 32:23Speaker 2: Babies and then one day she just stopped wanting to
- 32:25Speaker 2: play Beanie Babies. I just had to play by myself. Yeah.
- 32:29Speaker 2: I tried to get my brother to play, but he
- 32:31Speaker 2: didn't like, he didn't get it. He didn't get there,
- 32:35Speaker 2: get there of the beanie Baby.
- 32:37Speaker 4: I understand. I understand.
- 32:39Speaker 2: It is weird though, Like we did Christmas last night
- 32:42Speaker 2: with Haley's sister and brother in law and niece are
- 32:47Speaker 2: going out of town for Christmas, so we celebrated Christmas
- 32:49Speaker 2: with them last night. And her niece is so cute
- 32:53Speaker 2: because it's like everything she opened, she was just like yeah,
- 32:57Speaker 2: like we had to like give her time to focus
- 32:59Speaker 2: on it because we didn't want to move on to
- 33:01Speaker 2: the next because she was just so in the It
- 33:03Speaker 2: was like barbies, and then she got like a Jurassic
- 33:07Speaker 2: Park t Rex and then a bike. You know. It
- 33:09Speaker 2: was just like so much excitement and I was like, man,
- 33:12Speaker 2: that's so fun.
- 33:14Speaker 4: So fun.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Yeah, like my niece used to be like Minniese my nephew.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Now my niece wants like.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Hair stuff, yea hair like her A hot.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Tool like this is so you like, I just learned
- 33:27Speaker 2: to use this.
- 33:29Speaker 4: I just learned how to use this.
- 33:30Speaker 3: But Merry Christmas, I'm getting her a mini one though
- 33:35Speaker 3: it's not like adult size.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, just a mini mini crimper. Yeah, a learning
- 33:39Speaker 2: curve training. Have y'all done christ I feel like you
- 33:45Speaker 2: probably you and Allison probably do like this thing where
- 33:48Speaker 2: y'all go like months in advance, and you're searching for
- 33:50Speaker 2: like these.
- 33:52Speaker 6: Niche Allison got hers done early. I I've got I
- 33:59Speaker 6: finished my a couple of days ago, but I want
- 34:01Speaker 6: to We're going to New York for Christmas, so we're
- 34:04Speaker 6: like we were saying, like, let's not do big gifts
- 34:07Speaker 6: because we'll be in New York. We're gonna do stuff there.
- 34:09Speaker 6: But now I'm starting to be like, I should I
- 34:11Speaker 6: get one more thing?
- 34:13Speaker 1: You know?
- 34:13Speaker 6: It was like the Amazon list again.
- 34:16Speaker 4: And we said that this year. We were like, we're
- 34:19Speaker 4: only going to make each other Christmas gifts this year.
- 34:21Speaker 2: That's where we're at.
- 34:22Speaker 3: And then as we were going to make that, yeah,
- 34:23Speaker 3: and then as I got closer, I'm like, what the
- 34:25Speaker 3: hell am I going to make him?
- 34:26Speaker 4: And I was like, why don't we just do an
- 34:27Speaker 4: experience together?
- 34:28Speaker 3: And so and now he's like, you went from making
- 34:32Speaker 3: our gifts to wanting to do an experience, an expensive experience.
- 34:36Speaker 2: It's like, where what is it?
- 34:37Speaker 4: Like, let's make up our mind.
- 34:39Speaker 2: We should do indoor skydiving at Universal.
- 34:41Speaker 6: Oh my god, my birthday of years ago.
- 34:43Speaker 2: It's so funy I've always wanted to do.
- 34:45Speaker 4: Nothing sounds worse.
- 34:46Speaker 2: I just thought an experience just off the top of
- 34:49Speaker 2: my head. Yeah, New York sounds fun. Where are you
- 34:56Speaker 2: all going?
- 34:57Speaker 6: We're you know, we're flying there on Christmas Day.
- 34:59Speaker 2: A friend of mi s Martin. No one's going to
- 35:01Speaker 2: be there, I mean the airport.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:03Speaker 6: Yeah. A friend of us is getting married in New
- 35:05Speaker 6: Jersey on the twenty ninth, So we thought, let's fly
- 35:07Speaker 6: out on Christmas. We'll do the We'll be there till
- 35:09Speaker 6: the twenty eighth in the city, We'll jet on over
- 35:11Speaker 6: to Jersey, do the wedding, and then fly back on
- 35:13Speaker 6: the thirtieth for New Years. And you know, we're excited.
- 35:16Speaker 6: We're going to do the We're going to the Nutcracker,
- 35:19Speaker 6: We're going to some museums. We're going to you know,
- 35:22Speaker 6: try to do as much of the Christmas stuff as
- 35:24Speaker 6: you can. I'm going to go to Kay Bradshaw's apartment.
- 35:27Speaker 6: Very excited about that. He Wow, that was the one
- 35:29Speaker 6: demand I had.
- 35:31Speaker 4: Uh, yeah, you should go to Cornelia Street.
- 35:34Speaker 6: That is a great idea. I'm writing that down.
- 35:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I went there last time I was there.
- 35:41Speaker 5: You should go to what's that ice cream place? Serendipity, Serendipity, Yes,
- 35:47Speaker 5: what's the significance of that.
- 35:49Speaker 2: It's the best, like craziest dessert serendipity.
- 35:52Speaker 5: Yeah, this is that one.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it's like famous and then you you go,
- 35:56Speaker 2: it's like you walk down into it. Oh and then
- 35:59Speaker 2: and it's like the and you get the most incredible
- 36:02Speaker 2: elaborate desserts. So fun.
- 36:04Speaker 5: You can watch the romantic comedy from two thousand and
- 36:05Speaker 5: one called serend Diperdy with Kate Beckencell h Sa.
- 36:10Speaker 6: I'll watch that on the plane on way over there.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Wait that the making of the guests. We just watched
- 36:16Speaker 2: the episode of Friends where they make each other Valentine's
- 36:19Speaker 2: GISs and then Chandler finds the mixtape and it ends
- 36:21Speaker 2: up being the one Janis made for him, and they're
- 36:24Speaker 2: like dancing at the end. She's like, I love you Chandler.
- 36:28Speaker 2: How cool is it that we had her on the podcast?
- 36:30Speaker 2: So cool? Cool? All right, we have a I guess
- 36:34Speaker 2: email from a scrubber that needs our help, so we'll
- 36:38Speaker 2: get to that after this break. All right, we're back.
- 36:57Speaker 2: There is an important thing happening, and.
- 37:00Speaker 3: I would just like to say that you know, many
- 37:02Speaker 3: times we have guests on our podcast that invite us
- 37:05Speaker 3: to grab a drink in the lobby, want to show together,
- 37:10Speaker 3: come on over, have a glass of wine.
- 37:13Speaker 4: Premiere night and not a ton of follow through.
- 37:17Speaker 2: I would say zero right now, we're bat in zero.
- 37:21Speaker 4: However, the tides are about to change.
- 37:23Speaker 2: And why is that?
- 37:25Speaker 4: Because a date has been made soon, very soon? Do
- 37:31Speaker 4: you want to guess you already know? Do you know?
- 37:35Speaker 6: I don't know who?
- 37:35Speaker 3: Okay, so it's a recent guest that we've had and
- 37:38Speaker 3: the conversation is now officially out of the group chat
- 37:40Speaker 3: and we were meeting for drinks tomorrow.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Wow, care to take a gander?
- 37:46Speaker 6: Uh, who's been on the show recently? Joey Grazida.
- 37:55Speaker 4: That's a pretty good guess.
- 37:56Speaker 2: But no, no, only if yeah, respectfully.
- 38:00Speaker 5: H is it Jenna Ushkowitz?
- 38:03Speaker 2: No, but she just baby No, I don't think she drinks.
- 38:08Speaker 4: She doesn't, no, shook. No, I didn't know that at all.
- 38:16Speaker 2: I don't think no alcohol.
- 38:17Speaker 5: I don't respect We.
- 38:19Speaker 4: Could also go there because I'm on my way.
- 38:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I wish that were true.
- 38:25Speaker 3: I said no to a glass of wine last night,
- 38:27Speaker 3: and I had a nice, nice ragou that would have
- 38:30Speaker 3: been excellent. I was like Robbie's like, I'll split it
- 38:34Speaker 3: with you, and I was like, no.
- 38:35Speaker 5: Did you drink since the last time we were here?
- 38:37Speaker 4: No?
- 38:38Speaker 5: Nothing, this whole weekend. There was not a drop of
- 38:40Speaker 5: alcohol on your lips at.
- 38:42Speaker 2: The all party.
- 38:44Speaker 4: Oh yeah, no no, but I didn't drink it. I
- 38:45Speaker 4: just I just took a drink.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Oh okay, of someone else's drink.
- 38:49Speaker 3: No. I was just like carrying it. Yeah, all right,
- 38:55Speaker 3: that's right, but that's about to change.
- 38:56Speaker 6: Tomorrow when you meet up with Riley Arnold.
- 39:00Speaker 4: She's nineteen.
- 39:01Speaker 6: Yeah, hey, you know, it's twenty twenty four. I don't
- 39:04Speaker 6: know what's happening here. Who could it possibly be?
- 39:09Speaker 2: We asked her and she said she was like, yeah,
- 39:12Speaker 2: I'm down. And I go, don't don't do this if
- 39:14Speaker 2: you don't mean it, because Tanya gets her feelings hurt. Yeah,
- 39:20Speaker 2: she's middle name. The theme of Valentine's Day.
- 39:25Speaker 6: Oh my god, hanging up with Jennifer Carr Hewett Jennifer
- 39:33Speaker 6: love you it. Oh my god, wow, huge, massive.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Pretty huge, Yes.
- 39:40Speaker 4: Pretty epic.
- 39:41Speaker 2: I told Haley, and she goes, You're having drinks with
- 39:44Speaker 2: Jennifer love you And I was like, yeah, I guess
- 39:48Speaker 2: I did present that quite casually, very casually. Yeah, So
- 39:53Speaker 2: we were doing that.
- 39:54Speaker 4: Yeah, the legend herself.
- 39:56Speaker 6: I know what you did last podcast?
- 39:57Speaker 3: Then I know, wow, And did you see the scuttle
- 40:01Speaker 3: about her and Sarah Michelle Geller.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Oh, ask her about it tomorrow.
- 40:04Speaker 3: I can't too, because I am friends with both of them,
- 40:06Speaker 3: and I cannot be in a world where the two
- 40:08Speaker 3: of them do not get along.
- 40:09Speaker 4: That just cannot be cannot. I cannot live in a world.
- 40:12Speaker 6: You're gonna prepare this relationship single handedly.
- 40:15Speaker 3: Well, I don't think it is because Sarah Michelle Geller.
- 40:18Speaker 3: I can't just say her name, her single name, Sarah.
- 40:21Speaker 3: No she posted because I think all this stuff was
- 40:24Speaker 3: out going, Like that clip was going viral.
- 40:26Speaker 2: It was a clip of the interviewer asking Sarah Michelle
- 40:29Speaker 2: Geller if Jennifer Love HUGHTT was going to come back
- 40:31Speaker 2: for the uh I read.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Did last summer reboote?
- 40:34Speaker 3: And she kind of made like a weird face and
- 40:36Speaker 3: backed away, like didn't answer the question. So everybody's saying
- 40:38Speaker 3: there's beef between them, or.
- 40:40Speaker 2: She says something like I don't know anything about that.
- 40:42Speaker 2: She said something that dismissed it, but the look on
- 40:44Speaker 2: her face presented and then she walked away.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Yeah, so like okay, So everybody's writing all these articles
- 40:50Speaker 3: about this beef, and then she posted. Sarah Michelle Geller
- 40:54Speaker 3: posted on her Instagram. The next day, Jennifer Hewitt announced
- 40:58Speaker 3: she was going to be on it, So she posted
- 41:01Speaker 3: the announcement and said when you make a stanky face
- 41:05Speaker 3: because you can't comment on something, or like what are
- 41:07Speaker 3: in the headlights?
- 41:08Speaker 4: Do you're in the headlights? Whatever? Whatever?
- 41:10Speaker 3: She wrote something along the lines of like trying to
- 41:12Speaker 3: say that it's because she didn't want to let the
- 41:14Speaker 3: cat out of the bag, not because I think she's
- 41:16Speaker 3: trying to fuse all of these stories that there's beef.
- 41:19Speaker 4: Why would there be beef between them?
- 41:21Speaker 2: I don't know, but I need I need answers.
- 41:24Speaker 4: There can't be they're.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Shunned to be.
- 41:28Speaker 6: I was hoping it was like a manufactured beef, like
- 41:30Speaker 6: the Rock and Vin Diesel did that for Fast and
- 41:32Speaker 6: Furious State or something they did, and then it turned
- 41:36Speaker 6: into a real beef. But it was manufactured at first.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Oh interesting, Yeah, I love like there's something about a
- 41:44Speaker 2: pr beef that's really fun.
- 41:46Speaker 4: Should we start one? Yeah? Okay, next week?
- 41:51Speaker 2: What do we do? Just don't like.
- 41:55Speaker 4: Each other?
- 41:55Speaker 2: Oh?
- 41:56Speaker 6: Wow, yeah, yes.
- 42:00Speaker 2: We can say that we're gonna do it. I didn't
- 42:02Speaker 2: do it. It's gonna be yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay, okay,
- 42:09Speaker 2: we have an email.
- 42:10Speaker 5: Michael is struggling with career rejection. I've been listening to
- 42:14Speaker 5: Scrubbing in since twenty nineteen. You've always always got me
- 42:16Speaker 5: through my morning commute, especially early mornings when I'm getting
- 42:19Speaker 5: ready for and commuting to work. You four never failed
- 42:22Speaker 5: to make me laugh and brighten my day.
- 42:23Speaker 4: Uh.
- 42:24Speaker 5: I'm writing in for career advice. I'm a nurse and
- 42:27Speaker 5: I have been working for three years. I recently applied
- 42:29Speaker 5: for a new position on the unit I currently work on.
- 42:31Speaker 5: I didn't get it. After nearly a year of working
- 42:33Speaker 5: towards this goal, I've been actively looking at a different
- 42:36Speaker 5: nursing positions in my area and have been receiving so
- 42:39Speaker 5: much rejection. How do you both deal with rejection in
- 42:42Speaker 5: your careers? And what can I do moving forward to
- 42:44Speaker 5: not lose hope? I was finally starting to feel confident
- 42:47Speaker 5: my role as a nurse and have been feeling lost
- 42:49Speaker 5: recently with all this rejection. That's Mikayla.
- 42:54Speaker 4: You know what's crazy, Mikayla.
- 42:57Speaker 3: I was let go from my very first radio job
- 43:02Speaker 3: in Tucson, Arizona. I was working for this same company
- 43:06Speaker 3: and it was like the year where they had these
- 43:08Speaker 3: like massive layoffs and they were just laying off every
- 43:10Speaker 3: part timer. But when you're twenty one, you don't realize
- 43:12Speaker 3: any of that. You take it so personal. So when
- 43:14Speaker 3: I got laid off, I thought it was because it
- 43:17Speaker 3: was like the biggest rejection. It was like I didn't
- 43:19Speaker 3: do a good job. I wasn't good enough, I wasn't
- 43:21Speaker 3: this enough. Had I not been let go from that
- 43:24Speaker 3: job or rejected from that job, I think I would
- 43:27Speaker 3: still be in Tucson, Arizona today because it was that
- 43:31Speaker 3: time where nobody was getting jobs out of college because
- 43:34Speaker 3: of the economy, And I was like, why would I
- 43:36Speaker 3: leave this job that I have now because I actually
- 43:38Speaker 3: have a part time job and I'm making money, Why
- 43:40Speaker 3: would I leave this? So I feel like I would
- 43:42Speaker 3: have stayed there where I was comfortable and safe. Had
- 43:45Speaker 3: I not been rejected and pushed out, I would never
- 43:48Speaker 3: be where I am today. So I know it sounds
- 43:51Speaker 3: like so crazy in the moment, but like rejection really
- 43:56Speaker 3: is protection, and I feel like I feel like there's
- 44:01Speaker 3: light at the end of the tunnel for you and
- 44:02Speaker 3: it's all going to make sense as to like why
- 44:04Speaker 3: you're seeing so much rejection.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Mm hmm. I think sometimes it's just a season where
- 44:09Speaker 2: it feels like everything is going wrong and no one's
- 44:13Speaker 2: saying yes, and it feels like everything's no and it
- 44:16Speaker 2: feels like constant rejection. But I think you're going to
- 44:19Speaker 2: hit a point where you get a job that you're like, wow,
- 44:22Speaker 2: I'm so glad all those other people said no because
- 44:25Speaker 2: now I get to do this and this is just
- 44:28Speaker 2: kind of the thick of it. And you know what
- 44:30Speaker 2: they say, what is it? The only way al is through? Yeah,
- 44:36Speaker 2: the only way out of it is going through it.
- 44:38Speaker 2: And you're in. You're going through it. You're in the
- 44:40Speaker 2: tunnel and you see the light. You know what you want.
- 44:43Speaker 4: It might be more miles ahead in that tunnel, but
- 44:46Speaker 4: that's okay, that's okay.
- 44:47Speaker 2: And it might be one more day in the tunnel, because.
- 44:50Speaker 3: You're gonna be out of that tunnel. You're gonna be
- 44:51Speaker 3: in the light one day and you're gonna look back
- 44:53Speaker 3: at that tunnel and be like you made me who
- 44:55Speaker 3: I am.
- 44:55Speaker 2: Yes, that tunnel is making you stronger, it's making you
- 45:00Speaker 2: realize what you deserve and what you want and you're
- 45:03Speaker 2: gonna come out of it.
- 45:05Speaker 3: And I know it's all fluffy, like we're like being
- 45:07Speaker 3: very pie in the sky about it, but like I
- 45:09Speaker 3: live this. I literally lived this. I was so it
- 45:12Speaker 3: was like rejection when I was graduating from college and
- 45:15Speaker 3: like it was supposed to be the best time of
- 45:16Speaker 3: my life and I just got fired from my very
- 45:19Speaker 3: first job. I was so sad, I like could knock
- 45:21Speaker 3: it out of bed. I was so sad, so like
- 45:24Speaker 3: I've literally been here, and like it's temporary.
- 45:28Speaker 2: And don't let the rejection, rejection change you, make you
- 45:33Speaker 2: feel like you aren't confident as a nurse, Like it's
- 45:37Speaker 2: so like being able to find that confidence in your
- 45:39Speaker 2: role as a nurse is such a gift. And don't
- 45:41Speaker 2: let the rejection or the nose make you feel like
- 45:43Speaker 2: you're not a good nurse. That it just might not
- 45:46Speaker 2: it just might not be that it was the right
- 45:48Speaker 2: position for you, But it doesn't change the fact that
- 45:51Speaker 2: you're great at what you do and that there's something
- 45:52Speaker 2: amazing in your future. But at the same time, I
- 45:57Speaker 2: obviously Tanya knows it's hard, and we know it's it's easy.
- 46:00Speaker 2: When you're on the outside looking in. But you've got
- 46:03Speaker 2: this totally good. We're rooting for you. Took anything. Guys.
- 46:09Speaker 5: Well, I've fired many times because I'm an old person
- 46:12Speaker 5: and I've been working in radio for a long time,
- 46:13Speaker 5: and that's what happens. So every single time I've been fired,
- 46:16Speaker 5: it's been the best thing. I've been so happy that
- 46:19Speaker 5: I got fired. Eventually, at the time it's devastating, but
- 46:22Speaker 5: down the line, you're like, oh, thank god, I'm not
- 46:24Speaker 5: there anymore. So there was a reason you didn't get
- 46:26Speaker 5: that other job, and you may never know what that
- 46:28Speaker 5: reason was, but you're gonna be so much happier down
- 46:30Speaker 5: the line. It's all gonna work out great.
- 46:32Speaker 4: I agree, it always does.
- 46:33Speaker 6: I mean, what more could I say? Keep doing what
- 46:36Speaker 6: you do and stay the course A thousand points of light.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Yeah, there, we do have a gin Tren coming in.
- 46:47Speaker 2: We've been trying to get her for a long time
- 46:50Speaker 2: and we finally will have her.
- 46:52Speaker 4: The time has come.
- 46:53Speaker 2: On scrubbing in this Thursdays.
- 46:56Speaker 4: What the time has come? The wall says to speak
- 46:58Speaker 4: of many things.
- 46:58Speaker 2: Yeah, speaking of we got rejected by gen Tran many
- 47:01Speaker 2: times and wow, so some Tiang is everything?
- 47:06Speaker 4: Patrick, Yes, yesterday, he has a show to promote.
- 47:11Speaker 5: Yes, he does, let's not mention it until he comes on.
- 47:14Speaker 3: Yeah, watch that show until he sits his booty in here.
- 47:20Speaker 2: So we'll be back Thursday with Gen and we have
- 47:23Speaker 2: twenty twenty five with Patrick. Stay tuned, Love Me
- 47:33Speaker 4: To be continued.
