Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: The final pop before Christmas is here.
- 0:02Speaker 2: We're hoping for some good second news from Santa or
- 0:05Speaker 2: could it be time to sell. Jews and Sam have
- 0:07Speaker 2: esac envy as they look to invest in. Whatever you do,
- 0:10Speaker 2: don't be a scooge to mentioned spurs.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Ho ho ho.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Happy Christmas from everyone here at the FPL Pod. If
- 0:22Speaker 2: you don't celebrate Christmas, or maybe if you do and
- 0:25Speaker 2: you just love this time of year. It's happy, busy
- 0:28Speaker 2: FPL deadline at the time of year, so much football
- 0:31Speaker 2: to look herhead too. So we're back with you on
- 0:32Speaker 2: a Monday, the FPL Pod team of Kelly, Sam and
- 0:35Speaker 2: Jewels here with our festive spirit and hopefully some FPL tips.
- 0:38Speaker 2: We've got our Christmas hats on. We've got Christmas jumpers
- 0:41Speaker 2: on as well because we're feeling festive. Good morning Jewels,
- 0:44Speaker 2: Good morning Sam. Firstly, Jewels, that is an impressive Christmas jumper.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Who is on the front of it?
- 0:49Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a face off a young Eric Continer And
- 0:51Speaker 3: I know you could see that. Anyway. I'm saying, you're
- 0:53Speaker 3: saying Merry Christmas and blue Santa Hat.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I was going to say blue Sander hat.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Why it's just a PhD won't turn you around because
- 1:03Speaker 3: this is not Legando the Premier League, so I can't
- 1:06Speaker 3: really sure.
- 1:08Speaker 1: To get yourself a red arsenal.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I think that's true. That's true.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Sam also needs a blue or a white one, or
- 1:14Speaker 2: maybe you don't. After the weekend, Sam, you've gone for
- 1:16Speaker 2: a pink Christmas app always pink. Actually, this one's evs
- 1:20Speaker 2: that I just keep stealing for various different shows that
- 1:23Speaker 2: I've done this week and then supporting my Spurs colors.
- 1:26Speaker 1: That is brave going to say to talk about Spurs.
- 1:30Speaker 2: If that will come on to that very shortly on,
- 1:31Speaker 2: It's pretty unavoidable, isn't it. I know if your family
- 1:34Speaker 2: derby in your house yesterday and you probably don't want
- 1:36Speaker 2: to keep talking about it.
- 1:38Speaker 1: But unfortunately that's what we're here for.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Because Game Week seventeen did conclude with Spurs versus Liverpool
- 1:42Speaker 2: and Game Week eighteen starts on Thursday, so we're going
- 1:46Speaker 2: to give you your first midweek deadline warning of the podcast.
- 1:49Speaker 2: The deadline is eleven am on Thursday. I know, I
- 1:52Speaker 2: think I said it on the last show. It's that
- 1:54Speaker 2: some of you when you don't have a clue what
- 1:56Speaker 2: day of the week it is what meal you're meant
- 1:58Speaker 2: to be eating, what family you're meant to be seeing,
- 2:00Speaker 2: what you're meant to be doing. In general, you do
- 2:03Speaker 2: also need to think of FPL. So Thursday is Boxing Day,
- 2:05Speaker 2: So when you get up after Christmas morning, maybe you
- 2:07Speaker 2: are a bit hungover, maybe you've just eaten too much turkey
- 2:10Speaker 2: the day before. Whatever you do, don't forget to City
- 2:12Speaker 2: your team eleven am that's the head of Manchester City
- 2:14Speaker 2: versus Everton, all of the games across the twenty sixth
- 2:17Speaker 2: and twenty seventh. Then we have a breather on Saturday
- 2:20Speaker 2: the twenty eighth, and just to make it even more confusing,
- 2:22Speaker 2: we then got a deadline on Sunday the twenty ninth,
- 2:25Speaker 2: the head of the final round in twenty twenty four.
- 2:28Speaker 2: So plenty to think of, but right now just focus
- 2:30Speaker 2: in on the fact that we've got a Boxing day deadline.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Let's reflect quickly though on the game week that was.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Sam has got her head in her hands because she
- 2:38Speaker 2: knows what's coming. Firstly, the Mini League, it wasn't actually
- 2:43Speaker 2: that bad. This wasn't bad for Sam. She's just doing
- 2:44Speaker 2: that because of Spurs. So Sam, you benched Rogers. You
- 2:48Speaker 2: had Hall and Robinson returning. That was a good week
- 2:50Speaker 2: for the defense, wasn't it. And also you stuck with Silankey,
- 2:53Speaker 2: so you've got seventy seven in general, but you don't
- 2:56Speaker 2: seem too happy with that. I know it's really hard
- 2:58Speaker 2: to be happy when your first sub has gone and
- 2:59Speaker 2: got school on like that. But what's really frustrating the
- 3:01Speaker 2: account is that I was so torn between those two.
- 3:04Speaker 2: It was, yeah, it was Joe Pedro or Rogers, Joe
- 3:08Speaker 2: Pedro and Rodgers and we had a family day on Saturday,
- 3:12Speaker 2: and so we were on the train into London and
- 3:15Speaker 2: I just was so back and forward and what I
- 3:17Speaker 2: wanted to do.
- 3:18Speaker 4: And in the end I was like, I just feel like,
- 3:24Speaker 4: surely Brighton west Ham lover conceding a penalty and Joel
- 3:28Speaker 4: Pedro loves to take them. And in the end I
- 3:30Speaker 4: was like, right, I'm just I'm going to go with
- 3:31Speaker 4: Jill Peggro. Because it was so torn, I was like,
- 3:32Speaker 4: I'm just going to leave it. So whoever it's set out,
- 3:36Speaker 4: I'll tell you a funny story. I was we took
- 3:38Speaker 4: as part of the day out even fat fans.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Something she wanted.
- 3:41Speaker 4: I was paying for it, and I got a notification
- 3:44Speaker 4: on my phone and it just said that it was
- 3:46Speaker 4: a beginnerssist and I was like, oh no, that's aston
- 3:49Speaker 4: Villa of scored and I opened the I opened it
- 3:52Speaker 4: and was like it was obviously a Morgan Rodgers got
- 3:54Speaker 4: and I actually lost the plot. And the guy at
- 3:56Speaker 4: the till was like, are you okay? And I was like, no,
- 3:59Speaker 4: Morgan scored and he's on my bench. He was like, ah,
- 4:02Speaker 4: an FPL manager. So we then had a conversation about
- 4:04Speaker 4: fl and I was just like I left the shop
- 4:07Speaker 4: and either it was like Mum very embarrassing talking about
- 4:10Speaker 4: FBL to the van in the shop, and I was like, thanks, Ev,
- 4:12Speaker 4: I appreciate I appreciate that.
- 4:14Speaker 5: But yeah, honestly it was.
- 4:17Speaker 4: I feel really bad saying I'm really disappointed with this
- 4:21Speaker 4: week because it was still agree like I still got
- 4:23Speaker 4: a green arrow, it was still some progress, but those
- 4:27Speaker 4: additional twelve points that I would have got from playing
- 4:30Speaker 4: Morgan Rodgers over Joe Pedro would have got me to
- 4:32Speaker 4: five hundred and thirty K, which is where I wanted
- 4:34Speaker 4: to be for Christmas. I said, five hundred K for
- 4:36Speaker 4: Christmas and I'll be happy. So I kind of feel
- 4:38Speaker 4: like this was such a missed opportunity to massively gain
- 4:43Speaker 4: that bit of rank back. So it's done. Now just
- 4:47Speaker 4: have to make sure that I don't do it again.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I don't know if it makes you feel any better
- 4:50Speaker 2: or not, Sam, the fact that I don't know if
- 4:52Speaker 2: you notice actually sold Morgan Rodgers this week I did.
- 4:55Speaker 4: I noticed the first thing, do you know what? Honestly,
- 4:57Speaker 4: the first thing I did was check what you two
- 4:59Speaker 4: had done with Rogers. So you'd sold him. Jews have
- 5:01Speaker 4: benched him too, So.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Sam, guess what time I sold him?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Oh no, not like it's ten fifty nine on Saturday
- 5:08Speaker 2: was actually my birthday. And I felt like as a result,
- 5:12Speaker 2: I hadn't given my FPL team enough notice. What I
- 5:14Speaker 2: had attention. Sorry, What I had actually done was I'd
- 5:17Speaker 2: made the early transfer that I spoke about on the
- 5:18Speaker 2: pod last week. I sold him Bemo, Thank goodness, he blinks.
- 5:21Speaker 2: I didn't feel so great about that. Brought in Enzo, Yeah,
- 5:24Speaker 2: and a bit like you. The whole week I was like,
- 5:26Speaker 2: do I want to start Morgan Rodgers or Schuel Pedro
- 5:28Speaker 2: or do I want to start Enzo. I'd actually made
- 5:31Speaker 2: peace with the fact that I was going to bench
- 5:32Speaker 2: at Enzo okay, playing Morgan Rodgers and Shoel Pedro. And
- 5:37Speaker 2: then on the Saturday morning, because I'm so used to
- 5:39Speaker 2: making those last minute transfers, I thought to myself, everyone's
- 5:43Speaker 2: selling Morgan Rogers. Why have I not sold Morgan Rogers.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I really liked the Armad pic, and all week I'd
- 5:47Speaker 2: regretted probably not going for Ammad over Enzo because I
- 5:49Speaker 2: wanted some Manchester United cover because I've got Chelsea cover.
- 5:52Speaker 2: So at ten fifty nine, I was giving my daughter
- 5:54Speaker 2: breakfast and I sold him. However, it made me feel
- 5:58Speaker 2: a little bit better, at least like it wasn't just
- 6:00Speaker 2: it me on the bench. However, I got ninety four
- 6:02Speaker 2: points this game week. Had I sold him, might have
- 6:04Speaker 2: been in the one hundred clubs, so that's pretty hard
- 6:07Speaker 2: to take. And my rank I went up about four
- 6:09Speaker 2: hundred k places and I would have broken into the
- 6:12Speaker 2: top million, which I know isn't great in terms of
- 6:14Speaker 2: a rank, but would have been quite a big rise
- 6:17Speaker 2: because I was three point eight million just a few
- 6:18Speaker 2: weeks ago. And also, Sam, now I know you're catching me, yes, I.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Know fift I saw that this morning. I was like,
- 6:25Speaker 3: get in.
- 6:26Speaker 2: But if i'd have not sold him might have been
- 6:27Speaker 2: even closer to you. So anyway, Yeah, that was my
- 6:29Speaker 2: game week Jels for you. Then you bench Rodgers as well. Yes,
- 6:33Speaker 2: so many people did. But again you've got returns for
- 6:35Speaker 2: Paul Robinson. And like me, and like you said you
- 6:38Speaker 2: were going to on Thursday, you kept Kunya and he
- 6:40Speaker 2: kind of justified your faith.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Didn't he.
- 6:41Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 6:42Speaker 3: Absolutely, it was brilliant and so were Horse. To be honest,
- 6:45Speaker 3: Leicester and a very good bestill they were. They were
- 6:48Speaker 3: great compared to what they'd been doing previously. We're waiting
- 6:52Speaker 3: that to see what was going to happened to Kunya
- 6:55Speaker 3: and then because if because I think if he's not
- 6:59Speaker 3: suspended the next game for ex Yeah, I think so,
- 7:02Speaker 3: considering the film that is on and the new manager
- 7:05Speaker 3: bouncing away and things like that. I was torn, like
- 7:08Speaker 3: some for Rogers, between him and Evan Wilson. I had
- 7:11Speaker 3: a feeling Bonnemouth would do really well Trafford and I
- 7:14Speaker 3: thought e Vanilson then could be good. And to be fair,
- 7:17Speaker 3: he gave a wonderful past on the third goal that
- 7:19Speaker 3: brings him as you know, no point although it's a
- 7:21Speaker 3: crest I can assist, but so as I didn't feel
- 7:26Speaker 3: too bad. When I saw the Rogers return so well,
- 7:28Speaker 3: I felt a bit gutted because those fourteen points would
- 7:30Speaker 3: have been great, But I was happy with the Evan
- 7:33Speaker 3: Wilson pick ahead of Rogers before the weekend, so there
- 7:35Speaker 3: was nothing for me to regress. Yeah, I hesitated a bit,
- 7:38Speaker 3: but I really thought Burnemuth would do well at United,
- 7:40Speaker 3: so then Evan Neilson would do well too. So but
- 7:43Speaker 3: it's it's a shame seventy six. Basically, like Sam, I
- 7:45Speaker 3: feel like it's a it's a good week because it's
- 7:48Speaker 3: a green arrow, small one, but it could have made
- 7:50Speaker 3: so much better. For example, if, like I said last
- 7:52Speaker 3: week on the show, if I brought Isaac, which I
- 7:54Speaker 3: wanted to do and I'm probably going to do now.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I know.
- 8:00Speaker 2: He's the one that keeps kind of ticking over and
- 8:02Speaker 2: get helping me gain some rank over you guys.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Yeah, Like it's a game changer for everybody who had
- 8:09Speaker 3: him really different, genuinely is.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Like when I look back at my last few weeks
- 8:12Speaker 2: and kind of what I've done differently to everyone else
- 8:14Speaker 2: I've tried to do. We talk about it a lot
- 8:17Speaker 2: on this pod, don't we, In terms of doing certain
- 8:19Speaker 2: things like you could never not captain Salah. At the moment,
- 8:21Speaker 2: it feels like, well, this game week, it was like, well,
- 8:23Speaker 2: even if I wanted to go differently, thankfully I didn't.
- 8:26Speaker 2: You couldn't because the majority were going with it. But
- 8:27Speaker 2: then it's like certain things that I was looking at
- 8:29Speaker 2: that I've done differently, and it is just things like Esak.
- 8:32Speaker 2: He's just been the difference for me. And every week
- 8:35Speaker 2: he's returning and I think he's kind of becoming close
- 8:37Speaker 2: to essential personally, but we'll talk about that very shortly.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Just to quick check in with the FPR Pop Mini League, then,
- 8:42Speaker 2: Charlie Shepherd is now first one hundred and fourteen points
- 8:45Speaker 2: this week, moved cons up to Hall, got a frontline
- 8:48Speaker 2: of slanky Kunya and Esak that literally was the ideal frontline.
- 8:52Speaker 2: He's now second in the entire world. So congratulations to Charlie.
- 8:56Speaker 2: We're really rooting for you there. Max Little Proud is
- 8:59Speaker 2: back up into second in our league after his one
- 9:02Speaker 2: hundred and ten points this week. He did eight nori
- 9:04Speaker 2: to Robinson, a transfer that a lot of us did,
- 9:06Speaker 2: and he's now fifth overall in the world. So well done, guys.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Representing FPL POD in the overall world rankings are reminder
- 9:13Speaker 2: if you haven't yet joined us, there's still time. Head
- 9:15Speaker 2: of the new year. Q seven y c O the
- 9:18Speaker 2: letter zero the number there is no off the bench.
- 9:21Speaker 2: This week's Monday, and we're with you. So we're going
- 9:23Speaker 2: to provide our own little FPL pod version of off
- 9:26Speaker 2: the Bench. We're the kind of update not only on
- 9:28Speaker 2: our teams, but on what the rest of the game
- 9:30Speaker 2: week did. What were the big talking points for you, Sam? Well,
- 9:33Speaker 2: the biggest In fact, I'm going to interject my own
- 9:35Speaker 2: question there and say I think the biggest talking point
- 9:38Speaker 2: for me, and something that's going to concern our teams,
- 9:40Speaker 2: is the injury to Bacayo Sacka. We don't know too
- 9:43Speaker 2: much about it at this point of recording Monday morning,
- 9:45Speaker 2: but we're going to talk about that and potential replacements
- 9:48Speaker 2: for him in a little bit more detail. So let's
- 9:50Speaker 2: park that thought for a moment.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Sam. Aside from that, do you do you want to
- 9:54Speaker 1: go now with spurs or would jobs.
- 9:57Speaker 5: To cover that?
- 9:58Speaker 3: In the room, it's the elephone in the room. Shall
- 10:00Speaker 3: we get rid of im?
- 10:01Speaker 2: Wondering if we just get rid of it and then
- 10:02Speaker 2: we can all breathe again, move on and not being fair.
- 10:05Speaker 3: It's such a bade. The elephant will always stay in
- 10:08Speaker 3: the room back. I guess we can address it if
- 10:10Speaker 3: you want.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Thanks toors, appreciate that, remember it it's Christmas podcast. Well, look,
- 10:20Speaker 4: it is what it is, right we I think from
- 10:23Speaker 4: an FPL, but let's just do it from FPL because,
- 10:25Speaker 4: to be honest, then that makes me feel lots better
- 10:27Speaker 4: because I think from an FBI perspective, there's actually quite
- 10:29Speaker 4: a lot that you can like about this first performance.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Not the defense, because you know, let's just forget about
- 10:34Speaker 4: them playing mid shoulder there, let's just forget that they exist.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Just talk about it's from attack.
- 10:42Speaker 5: From the attack.
- 10:43Speaker 4: I think it's you know, there's plenty of options in
- 10:45Speaker 4: fl So obviously, I think for the last couple of weeks,
- 10:50Speaker 4: I've sat on this podcast and said, I thinking about
- 10:52Speaker 4: selling Solankey and I'm thinking about selling Slanky. And then
- 10:56Speaker 4: this week actually has been a good week for him
- 10:58Speaker 4: because obviously he did.
- 10:59Speaker 5: Well in the League Cup.
- 11:00Speaker 4: That was there for that game, and I sat there
- 11:02Speaker 4: and I was like, where's this been in FPL. But
- 11:04Speaker 4: then on Sunday again we saw that in FPL, So
- 11:07Speaker 4: that was nice, So a good return for him, returns
- 11:09Speaker 4: for Kolosski and Brennan Johnson as well, and Madison again
- 11:13Speaker 4: returning Now, Madison's really interesting because I think we've all
- 11:17Speaker 4: I certainly have shied away from him quite a lot
- 11:19Speaker 4: in FPL because of the lack of consistency of starts
- 11:22Speaker 4: that we've had from him over the last few weeks.
- 11:24Speaker 4: But he's right up there in terms of performances from
- 11:28Speaker 4: the midfielders. Obviously not with the likes of Salah, but
- 11:30Speaker 4: then nobody is. He's in a league of his own
- 11:32Speaker 4: right now. But if you're looking for a mid priced midfielder,
- 11:36Speaker 4: his returns are so good for me. The conversation that
- 11:40Speaker 4: I've been having with myself over the last couple of
- 11:42Speaker 4: weeks is do I seal silanky and invest in the
- 11:44Speaker 4: midfield instead?
- 11:46Speaker 1: And maybe as.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Part of a the coyo osaka conversation later they might
- 11:50Speaker 4: come up again. But kulo Sevski and Brennan Johnson both consistent,
- 11:54Speaker 4: Brennan even when he's benched. So that's the positives. There's
- 11:57Speaker 4: a lot of negatives too. I don't think you can
- 12:00Speaker 4: invest in the defense. I'm not sure where you'd want
- 12:01Speaker 4: to at the minute, but then as they start to
- 12:04Speaker 4: come back from injury, maybe that will change. The new
- 12:06Speaker 4: year brings some nice fixtures for Spurs. So if we
- 12:09Speaker 4: get the center backs back, if the goalkeeper eventually comes back,
- 12:12Speaker 4: but he's going to be out for longer because of
- 12:13Speaker 4: his fracture, I thought Jed Spence played well.
- 12:16Speaker 5: There you go. There's some positives on Spurs for you.
- 12:18Speaker 2: So you're still kind of adamant that you're going to
- 12:20Speaker 2: have to have a Spurs player in your team because
- 12:24Speaker 2: I love that you're talking about you don't quite know
- 12:26Speaker 2: about Slanky or are you going to hold Slanky for now?
- 12:29Speaker 5: Yeah? I'm going to hold Slanky.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You might even get the midfield double up.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Yeah, but that seems really weird, doesn't it, with the
- 12:35Speaker 4: way that we're performing. But then with the amount of
- 12:37Speaker 4: goals that we're scoring like.
- 12:39Speaker 1: You are scoring.
- 12:41Speaker 4: You know, I think if you leave the Premier League aside,
- 12:44Speaker 4: and I think you kind of have to with FPL,
- 12:45Speaker 4: don't you, Because you're talking about picking the best players
- 12:47Speaker 4: in FPL, not the best players in the Premier League,
- 12:50Speaker 4: Because sometimes the best players in the Premier League aren't
- 12:52Speaker 4: the best players in FPL. Just simply because they don't
- 12:56Speaker 4: necessarily return the points that their performances suggest that they should.
- 13:00Speaker 4: With the Spurs attack, I mean we are up there
- 13:02Speaker 4: with one of the best attacks in the Premier League.
- 13:04Speaker 4: So I don't know, like I'm going to hold Slanky.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Now that's a couple of returns back to back for him,
- 13:09Speaker 4: some good returns last week. Got some nice fixtures coming
- 13:12Speaker 4: up against. Apart from Lottimore Forest where the defense is solid,
- 13:17Speaker 4: I think there's defenses that that Spurs can get at.
- 13:19Speaker 4: So yeah, I'm going to hold and as an FPL manager,
- 13:24Speaker 4: if Spurs lose but we return points, if I leave
- 13:28Speaker 4: my Spurs biases aside, that's what you want, isn't It
- 13:31Speaker 4: doesn't really matter what the Premier League result is for us.
- 13:33Speaker 4: It's all about the FPL point returns. So yeah, So
- 13:37Speaker 4: Lanky's not done anything to suggest that he should be sold.
- 13:40Speaker 4: If anything, he's encouraged me to keep him with the
- 13:43Speaker 4: performance of the weekend.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Okay, Jules, I'm not going to ask you for your
- 13:46Speaker 2: thoughts on Spurs because that would feel like I'm also
- 13:49Speaker 2: trolling Sandwich a little bit.
- 13:51Speaker 3: I think Liverpool stopped playing if I've one up, and
- 13:53Speaker 3: that's why Solanki scored too, and that's what score too.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Happy Christmas, Merry Christmas.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Okay, you can talk about something else from the game week.
- 14:02Speaker 2: What would you like to talk about that isn't Spurs
- 14:05Speaker 2: versus Liverpool related?
- 14:06Speaker 3: You sure we don't on Spurs Liverpool. You know we
- 14:08Speaker 3: don't on Spurs. I mean we can talk about Liverpool
- 14:10Speaker 3: and how great domes like, and really I think we
- 14:13Speaker 3: should give them a credit because the interesting thing about
- 14:16Speaker 3: the AZZ and Sobos live and it was only Spurs
- 14:19Speaker 3: really that's why maybe they were so good on the there,
- 14:23Speaker 3: but they hadn't been returning for so long and that
- 14:25Speaker 3: suddenly they've got those incredible game performances. So it was
- 14:29Speaker 3: like almost as a as a nine as the first nine.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Das is a just a free player wandering around really
- 14:35Speaker 3: and impacting the game. It was pretty amazing to watch
- 14:37Speaker 3: from a tactical point of view. But I don't know
- 14:39Speaker 3: if that's enough for people to start investing in soos
- 14:42Speaker 3: Lie and theas outside of Salah and maybe a trend
- 14:45Speaker 3: to somebody like that. But I thought Macarista was great.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Apart from that, I guess the other big result in
- 14:51Speaker 3: a way for us for FBL is the Chelsea drawer
- 14:53Speaker 3: were evident because that Neil Neil for team that has
- 14:56Speaker 3: been so good going forward a Black Spurs and Chelsea
- 14:59Speaker 3: and a lot of having two or even three sometimes
- 15:02Speaker 3: in Enzo and Nico and Palmer or two of them,
- 15:04Speaker 3: three or even three of them for nobody to return
- 15:07Speaker 3: was we're disappointing, especially when they had the chances. I
- 15:10Speaker 3: mean Nicole, that was bad, Nico from last season really
- 15:12Speaker 3: that we saw our goodness and Park on Sunday?
- 15:14Speaker 1: Okay, where can we move on?
- 15:16Speaker 3: Now?
- 15:16Speaker 1: Draw a line under it?
- 15:17Speaker 3: George, Yeah, I mean I can. I can talk about
- 15:20Speaker 3: Spurs forever if you want me to.
- 15:21Speaker 1: No, No, I don't think we will. Sam.
- 15:24Speaker 2: I'm going to let you take this conversation where you'd
- 15:26Speaker 2: like to go now, because we put you through the
- 15:27Speaker 2: pain of that because there's so much to talk about.
- 15:30Speaker 2: I don't know if it is a case if you
- 15:31Speaker 2: want to go with the doom and gloom of Manchester City,
- 15:34Speaker 2: if you want to talk about Fulham, if you want
- 15:36Speaker 2: to talk about Alexander Esack, I could talk about Alexander
- 15:38Speaker 2: Esak all day.
- 15:39Speaker 3: You should.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Okay, Well, let's talk about Newcastle because I think there
- 15:42Speaker 4: is the last couple of weeks. The fixtures have been perfect,
- 15:44Speaker 4: haven't they. And we kind of said that investing for
- 15:47Speaker 4: the last two weeks made a lot of sense. Obviously,
- 15:49Speaker 4: Lewis Hall again with another clean sheet that was that
- 15:52Speaker 4: was nice. I was kind of hoping I was getting
- 15:53Speaker 4: another hole out of him, like we got last seat
- 15:56Speaker 4: so many If you didn't, it can't be too upset
- 15:59Speaker 4: with him, can we really, because you know, did go
- 16:02Speaker 4: massive last week, but still still a really nice return
- 16:05Speaker 4: from him with the clean sheet.
- 16:06Speaker 5: I think the interesting thing for me.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Is is and again maybe this is going to come
- 16:11Speaker 4: up when we talk about Saka because one of the
- 16:14Speaker 4: reasons that I didn't have ESAC this week was for
- 16:17Speaker 4: budget reasons. It would have meant selling Bruno Fernandez and
- 16:21Speaker 4: we could talk about Man United in a minute, because
- 16:23Speaker 4: I was not. I didn't expect them to lose quite
- 16:26Speaker 4: as heavily as they did without scoring, like I thought
- 16:28Speaker 4: the way that they've been they've been scoring goals and
- 16:30Speaker 4: I suspected that they might. But that was a bit
- 16:33Speaker 4: of a surprise to me, and I didn't want to
- 16:35Speaker 4: sell Bruno ahead of that one. So but that was
- 16:37Speaker 4: my only route to getting esack. Now this time around,
- 16:40Speaker 4: maybe I've got a different route to getting Esak or
- 16:44Speaker 4: Jackson up top, and I think I spent a lot
- 16:46Speaker 4: of time last week talking about those two. So for me, yeah,
- 16:49Speaker 4: it was a mad return from Esac. The fixtures are
- 16:52Speaker 4: a little bit more mixed now than they have been
- 16:53Speaker 4: over the last couple of weeks, but he is in
- 16:55Speaker 4: really good form and we had this at the back
- 16:57Speaker 4: end of was it two seasons ago, I think, when
- 17:01Speaker 4: he was phenomenal and it was that kind of conversation
- 17:03Speaker 4: he had to choose between Callum Wilson and Esak.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Yeah, he only started twenty two Promi League games that season.
- 17:08Speaker 4: But the back end of the season he came back
- 17:10Speaker 4: from injury and it was a straight choice between whether
- 17:13Speaker 4: you went for Esac or Callum Wilson, and I went
- 17:15Speaker 4: e Sac. There was a double game week in there
- 17:18Speaker 4: as well for them, and he absolutely banged in the
- 17:20Speaker 4: opening fixture of it, and it was just phenomenal for
- 17:22Speaker 4: those last few weeks of the season and I kind
- 17:24Speaker 4: of feel like we're seeing that form from him again.
- 17:28Speaker 4: A struggle was still a little bit with the Newcastle
- 17:30Speaker 4: midfield and how I would invest there, simply because of
- 17:34Speaker 4: all of the other midfielders that we talk about and
- 17:35Speaker 4: that we won, like Anthony Gordon's in the conversation, But
- 17:39Speaker 4: I think I would have expected a little bit more
- 17:41Speaker 4: from him than we got given the scoreline in this one.
- 17:44Speaker 4: But yeah, Esak, if he had him, well done because
- 17:47Speaker 4: he's just been in fantastic form, particularly.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Us is he now?
- 17:51Speaker 2: I hate saying essential because I feel like there's so
- 17:53Speaker 2: many players that we set about in FPL.
- 17:55Speaker 1: But Jewels for you, is it a.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Case of you need to try and move things around
- 17:59Speaker 2: in your team to get him because so many people
- 18:01Speaker 2: are investing in him. You're going to do his rank
- 18:03Speaker 2: if you don't have him, are you trying to get
- 18:05Speaker 2: him into your team? Yeah?
- 18:06Speaker 3: Absolutely? And I should have done it for this weekend,
- 18:08Speaker 3: Like I said last week on the show. On the
- 18:10Speaker 3: last show, I was really tempted. It would have had
- 18:13Speaker 3: three free transfers. I could have done it, to be fair,
- 18:16Speaker 3: It would have made like move moving some money and
- 18:18Speaker 3: things like that, but it was not impossible, and I
- 18:21Speaker 3: just thought I'll wait and I'll do it the following
- 18:24Speaker 3: for this for this game week for eighteen. And I
- 18:29Speaker 3: just wish because it was ipswitch as well, even away
- 18:31Speaker 3: from home, and Newcastle well decent form. But more importantly,
- 18:35Speaker 3: I think Isach himself has been on great form, but
- 18:38Speaker 3: not even not just I mean return that in the
- 18:39Speaker 3: last four before that he had a little bit of
- 18:42Speaker 3: a I think two games in a row without scoring,
- 18:43Speaker 3: But before that for club and country he was on
- 18:45Speaker 3: a roll ten or eleven and eleven something crazy like that.
- 18:49Speaker 3: So it's been on great form for the last two
- 18:51Speaker 3: months or so. So I'm just gutted I didn't do
- 18:54Speaker 3: it for last weekend, but I will do it now.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Yeah, Newcastle looking like really good kind of attack and
- 19:02Speaker 2: defense to invest in at the moment. Fulham as well,
- 19:06Speaker 2: another heavily owned team. Jules one of those games that
- 19:10Speaker 2: it was quite actually that on UK television over here
- 19:13Speaker 2: Fulham Neil Southampton Neil kind of kickstarted the day. No
- 19:16Speaker 2: goals there because all of the goals were saved for
- 19:19Speaker 2: the television's late game of course between the Spurs and Lipool.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Sorry Sam to mention it again, but from a Fulham
- 19:24Speaker 2: point of view, was not mentioning again from a Fulham
- 19:28Speaker 2: point of view, frustration if you invested in Brown him
- 19:31Speaker 2: and his because I know there was a few people
- 19:32Speaker 2: looking at him, but defensively again returns for Robinson, someone
- 19:36Speaker 2: that was heavily bought in last week.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Yeah, he was very solid. They were very soli defensively.
- 19:40Speaker 3: They didn't give Southampton much and Southampton, whose new manager
- 19:43Speaker 3: Van Euris was not on the bench because he was working,
- 19:46Speaker 3: was waiting for his work permit so might be on
- 19:48Speaker 3: the bench for the next game, was watching from the stands.
- 19:51Speaker 3: They were always going to try to defend more than
- 19:53Speaker 3: anything else, and even that foodum really had enough chances
- 19:56Speaker 3: to win that game. And I think can be dis
- 20:00Speaker 3: pointed with the result in the end, But from a
- 20:02Speaker 3: defensive point of view, whether you had Robinson or Leno
- 20:06Speaker 3: castein Bassi, any of those defenders, you had a good weekend.
- 20:10Speaker 2: One question I wanted to ask because it's something I regret.
- 20:13Speaker 2: I try to not make this pub completely about my team,
- 20:15Speaker 2: but it's something I regret not doing. I went for Robinson.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I'm actually wondering if potentially we could have gone with
- 20:21Speaker 2: Castana because he's a little bit cheaper. Is Robinson worth
- 20:25Speaker 2: the extra money?
- 20:25Speaker 1: Would you say?
- 20:27Speaker 5: So?
- 20:27Speaker 4: I had that exact dilemma this week and in the end,
- 20:32Speaker 4: because I'd waited so long to make my transfers. I
- 20:34Speaker 4: had the news about the Tete injury, so I was
- 20:36Speaker 4: kind of like, well, do I want to save the
- 20:38Speaker 4: money or do I think that Robinson's worth the extra,
- 20:42Speaker 4: And in the end my decision was that I think
- 20:44Speaker 4: that Robinson's worth the extra. I mean, he supplied nine
- 20:46Speaker 4: crosses and created three chances in this game, which were
- 20:49Speaker 4: the most of any player in the game. So he
- 20:52Speaker 4: is so attacking in a way that Castano I just
- 20:55Speaker 4: don't think has that same level of potential return. So
- 20:59Speaker 4: I think if you're really really tight for budget and
- 21:03Speaker 4: you want to get a Fulham defender, then you can
- 21:05Speaker 4: absolutely go for the cheaper option. But I think sometimes
- 21:09Speaker 4: in FPL you have this right where you have a
- 21:11Speaker 4: cheaper version of the same thing, So you can get
- 21:14Speaker 4: the cheaper version of a Fulham defender if you want to.
- 21:17Speaker 4: But I think every time you look at your team
- 21:18Speaker 4: you'll think, oh, wish that was Robinson instead. So if
- 21:22Speaker 4: you can find the budget, I still think Robinson is
- 21:25Speaker 4: the better option of the two. But if you have
- 21:27Speaker 4: no route to Robinson but you want to get to Fulham,
- 21:31Speaker 4: then you can absolutely go with Castanna instead.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Okay, well you mentioned it before, Sam Manchester United, but
- 21:37Speaker 2: we haven't dived into them or I don't. I hate
- 21:39Speaker 2: it when this happens, when a supposed smaller club beats
- 21:44Speaker 2: a supposed bigger club. Well, I don't think there's any
- 21:46Speaker 2: arguments that Bournemouth are slightly smaller up the Manchester United.
- 21:49Speaker 2: But I hate it when we focus too much on
- 21:50Speaker 2: the big club. So we will talk about Bournemouth in
- 21:52Speaker 2: just a moment. But firstly, Manchester United. Ammad was brought
- 21:56Speaker 2: in by so many managers, myself included this week. A
- 21:58Speaker 2: lot of people kept Fernandez like yourself, Sam for this
- 22:02Speaker 2: game week and at home Old Trafford. I mean, I'm
- 22:05Speaker 2: sure Rubin Amrim is wondering what on earth happened. I
- 22:07Speaker 2: know the Manchester United fans are, but from a Manchester
- 22:10Speaker 2: United FPL point of view, what did you take away
- 22:12Speaker 2: from it?
- 22:12Speaker 5: Sam?
- 22:13Speaker 4: Yeah, Amad the most transferred in this week and you
- 22:16Speaker 4: know handed me well compounded by well almost with that
- 22:21Speaker 4: exact transfer, right because Morgan Rogers was the most sold
- 22:23Speaker 4: midfielder this week and he produced his biggest ever Fantasy returns,
- 22:28Speaker 4: so we had massive swings because of that. Yeah, Manchester United,
- 22:32Speaker 4: I Bournemouth have been fantastic this season, like I don't
- 22:36Speaker 4: think we should go into these games with the expectation
- 22:38Speaker 4: that Bournemouth are going to lose, because because they have
- 22:41Speaker 4: been really, really good and they would have gone to
- 22:44Speaker 4: Manchester United without much fear. I think the performance by
- 22:48Speaker 4: Manchester United was a bit was the bit that surprised
- 22:51Speaker 4: me the most. I mean, as a Bruno owner, I
- 22:52Speaker 4: was disappointed. He was seventh for extra under achievers across
- 22:55Speaker 4: the game week. So maybe we consider ourselves a little
- 22:59Speaker 4: bit unlucky that we didn't get something out of him.
- 23:01Speaker 4: But the Bournemouth defense have been keeping semi regular clean
- 23:04Speaker 4: sheet and getting attack in returns. We've got Semeno, who
- 23:09Speaker 4: I know that a couple of weeks ago, the little
- 23:10Speaker 4: conversations about whether to keep him or not, a lot.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Of people sold in this game because well I think
- 23:14Speaker 1: Sam didn't that.
- 23:14Speaker 5: Yeah they did.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Yeah, but he had four shots converted, one of them
- 23:17Speaker 4: gets an eight point return and that's his fifth gold
- 23:20Speaker 4: of the season. But that is his first return since
- 23:23Speaker 4: game week ten, So we do we have had to
- 23:26Speaker 4: be very patient with Semenno, and obviously there's been a
- 23:29Speaker 4: band in there as well. But yeah, I was impressed
- 23:33Speaker 4: by Bournemouth and I think I've got Evanilsen in my
- 23:36Speaker 4: team like Jules has and I can't help but feel
- 23:39Speaker 4: like that was one of my more rogue decisions because
- 23:43Speaker 4: whilst Bournemouth are playing well, we're just not getting any
- 23:46Speaker 4: returns from Evan Nilson, however good he looks and however
- 23:49Speaker 4: important he is in the team, and ever any chances
- 23:52Speaker 4: he's getting, he's not returning them. Whereas the defense, like Kels,
- 23:57Speaker 4: I know you've got Kirkez like investing on one, know
- 24:00Speaker 4: you did because this is the work. I think he's
- 24:02Speaker 4: a good option, but I do think this is the
- 24:05Speaker 4: team that you can go for the cheaper option and
- 24:08Speaker 4: it's the right thing to do, whereas a Fulham, I
- 24:10Speaker 4: think you want to go for the slightly more expensive one.
- 24:11Speaker 2: At Bournemouth, I keep having to remind myself that at
- 24:14Speaker 2: least I'm pleased that I am invested in the Bournemouth defense,
- 24:16Speaker 2: even if I Kirkuz was another ten to fifty nine
- 24:19Speaker 2: transfer a couple of saturdays ago, So at least this
- 24:21Speaker 2: one looks like it's it's going a little bit better.
- 24:23Speaker 2: As Jews, how are you feeling about Evan Neilson, Because
- 24:24Speaker 2: I'll be honest, obviously I wasn't watching these games. It
- 24:27Speaker 2: was on TV over here. But when I was seeing
- 24:28Speaker 2: Bournemouth scoring three now, I thought, oh gosh, the guys
- 24:31Speaker 2: have got Evan Nielsen. Not to get any returns is
- 24:34Speaker 2: getting pretty frustrating for you, isn't it.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Yeah? It is, And I think he played well and
- 24:39Speaker 3: like we mentioned earlier, he had that great ball that
- 24:41Speaker 3: led to the third goal from Samenio from him to
- 24:45Speaker 3: Wait who then crossed the ball. But he's very important,
- 24:50Speaker 3: I think in a lot of things that they do,
- 24:53Speaker 3: and that game we saw it at our traffords. But overall, yeah,
- 24:57Speaker 3: it just doesn't have that fish and see. I think
- 25:00Speaker 3: in front of goals to get regular points returned, which
- 25:04Speaker 3: is for us, is disappointing and a bit frustrating, to
- 25:07Speaker 3: be fair. So I think, especially if Kunya is not
- 25:10Speaker 3: suspended for the next game of for now, if I
- 25:13Speaker 3: can move it and listen to get to eastside, which
- 25:15Speaker 3: I think is possible, then That's what I'm going to do.
- 25:17Speaker 3: But but you know that evanation we score again, it's
- 25:20Speaker 3: just it's it's true, but it's just you there would
- 25:23Speaker 3: not have been that consistency. There hasn't been like that
- 25:26Speaker 3: since the start of the season is not going to
- 25:27Speaker 3: change now. Uh so, And again I think the Bournemouth
- 25:32Speaker 3: style and and football is not just built for him,
- 25:35Speaker 3: so inspite of a great collective and a lot of
- 25:37Speaker 3: players can screed. Yeah, great for that so as Yeah,
- 25:42Speaker 3: it was a bit of a like a pun for
- 25:44Speaker 3: us to I think for Sam and I when we
- 25:46Speaker 3: did it to invest in him. He obviously got the
- 25:48Speaker 3: three penalties just the the game before we brought him in.
- 25:52Speaker 3: But but yeah, this is a team that is very
- 25:55Speaker 3: much built collectively, not just for their striker.
- 25:57Speaker 2: To accept, I want in on the Bournemouth attack and
- 26:00Speaker 2: I don't think I want in on ever kneels. For
- 26:02Speaker 2: all the reasons we've just spoken about, it is making
- 26:05Speaker 2: me relook at so many of it. Sam, who is
- 26:06Speaker 2: the best option there?
- 26:08Speaker 3: If you want, do you think it's Clive?
- 26:10Speaker 2: I'm starting I was going to say that is a
- 26:12Speaker 2: big That is a big factor, isn't it when we
- 26:14Speaker 2: look at players in FPL Is he the best option that?
- 26:17Speaker 2: And also is he I can say is he the
- 26:20Speaker 2: best option? But also like is he a viable option
- 26:22Speaker 2: given the other options that we're all from other teams
- 26:25Speaker 2: in the field, that we're all looking at.
- 26:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean midfield's harder, right because there's so many
- 26:29Speaker 4: options that you want to go to. But for me,
- 26:32Speaker 4: one of the key the key things I look at
- 26:35Speaker 4: is root to points and if they have penalties, that's
- 26:39Speaker 4: a massive ticking a box for them. So as many
- 26:42Speaker 4: penalty takers as I can get in my team, I do.
- 26:45Speaker 4: And so Cliver kind of fits that that category is
- 26:50Speaker 4: paying in a really nice attacking Bournemouth side. They're winning
- 26:53Speaker 4: plenty of penalties, he's taking and converting all of those
- 26:56Speaker 4: penalties and he's a nice cheap option as well. So
- 27:00Speaker 4: I think at a point where maybe we're about to
- 27:04Speaker 4: have a midfielder slot freed up, why not free up
- 27:08Speaker 4: a lot of money drop down to Cliver and then
- 27:10Speaker 4: have that money to invest in the attack, because then
- 27:12Speaker 4: we can build an attack that's a bit like Charlie's
- 27:15Speaker 4: who you mentioned in the Pop Mini League, where it's
- 27:17Speaker 4: got big hitters across the board and you can have
- 27:20Speaker 4: an Esac and a Jackson in a slanky because you've
- 27:23Speaker 4: downgraded one of your midfielders. So I do like THEI
- 27:26Speaker 4: Clive up pick. I think if I was gonna invest
- 27:29Speaker 4: in the Bournemouth midfield that's how I would go.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Okay, well, I'm very sorry if we haven't mentioned your
- 27:34Speaker 2: team winning here, So sorry to notting and Forest fans
- 27:37Speaker 2: for ending Brentford's remarkable record at home. Big return there
- 27:40Speaker 2: for Ana of course, sorry to Aston Villa as well,
- 27:43Speaker 2: and sorry, I don't know if I'm sorry to Chelsea
- 27:45Speaker 2: and Everton, but if you didn't score any goals, you
- 27:46Speaker 2: don't really deserve mention on the pod though Everton's defense
- 27:49Speaker 2: are looking very solid, and I wish I hadn't mentioned
- 27:51Speaker 2: Mikaelenko and maybe we should invest him again.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Say so, why does Kelly doesn't trust me? What's the
- 27:58Speaker 3: problem we're going.
- 27:59Speaker 2: To have to briefly talk about They even know I
- 28:00Speaker 2: was trying to move us on, but Sam, when you've
- 28:02Speaker 2: got Cole Palmer coming to town and Jackson unfortunately. Also,
- 28:06Speaker 2: congratulations Everton fans. I keep mentioning Micklenko on every week
- 28:09Speaker 2: I bench him. You get a clean sheet, so you've
- 28:11Speaker 2: actually not Never mind thanking fan Sean Die she's number two.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Never mind this assistant manager he hired.
- 28:20Speaker 5: You, he spent some of his.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Making a difference already.
- 28:25Speaker 2: And also I don't want to talk about this because
- 28:28Speaker 2: we need to move on to soccer replacements. But just quickly, Jeels,
- 28:30Speaker 2: we're all investing in this Chelsea attack, but actually should
- 28:33Speaker 2: we be listening looking at the Chelsea defense. Okay, thank
- 28:37Speaker 2: you for going along with the quick next this podcast,
- 28:40Speaker 2: what about the Everton defense then, Sam, because all of
- 28:43Speaker 2: a sudden when we come everybody also someone text me
- 28:49Speaker 2: all the day. The favorite line on the pod last
- 28:51Speaker 2: week was I called you to a pair of losers
- 28:54Speaker 2: and I've just told you to shut up as well.
- 28:56Speaker 2: I'm getting a bit I'm getting a bit rude. Sorry, guys.
- 28:58Speaker 2: It's Christmas as well, so it should be nice. And
- 29:00Speaker 2: the Everton defense, soo, Sam, we can joke about being
- 29:02Speaker 2: benching them all the light. The reason I've been helding
- 29:05Speaker 2: Miklenko is because I know that in a few game
- 29:07Speaker 2: weeks he's not just going to be a bench option.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Their fixtures do get nicer and they're getting the form
- 29:11Speaker 2: to back it up.
- 29:14Speaker 4: I think I said to you last week, like I
- 29:16Speaker 4: actually you, I think you're talking about selling him, and
- 29:18Speaker 4: I was like, no, hold him because in a couple
- 29:20Speaker 4: of weeks time, everyone's going to be wanting to go there.
- 29:23Speaker 4: I'm going to be looking at Mikleenko in a couple
- 29:24Speaker 4: of weeks time. Maybe Ashley Young, but probably Micheleenko. I
- 29:28Speaker 4: just think that at the moment we've gone back to
- 29:31Speaker 4: Sean Diysh's I can get my team to defend and
- 29:35Speaker 4: keep clean sheets. That's back to back clean sheets now
- 29:37Speaker 4: against like two of the best attacks in the league
- 29:40Speaker 4: in Arsenal and Chelsea. So I'm not sure how I
- 29:44Speaker 4: feel about their fixture on Boxing Day, They're the early kickoff. No,
- 29:47Speaker 4: Ashley Young he suspended and it's against Manchester City, so maybe.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I am benching him again.
- 29:54Speaker 4: Just to clarify, Yeah, that's a guaranteed, so guarantee, guaranteed, guaranteed.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Okay, Can I move on now or is just going
- 30:02Speaker 2: to try? Are we going to try and throw any
- 30:03Speaker 2: other teams?
- 30:04Speaker 3: No?
- 30:05Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you for letting me move on, and
- 30:06Speaker 1: let's talk about Paya Zacher. I've promised it. I've teased
- 30:09Speaker 1: it for the majority of the podcast.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Now this isn't good news, is it really? For us
- 30:12Speaker 2: FPR managers? Because of course, Sack went off in the
- 30:15Speaker 2: first half against Crystal Palace. Michel Art said postmatch he
- 30:18Speaker 2: felt something in his hamstring. He couldn't continue he'll have
- 30:21Speaker 2: to be assessed. So I'm really worried about that one.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Never mind you being worried about it, Michel, I am
- 30:26Speaker 2: worried Jeweles. He's owned by forty two point of the game.
- 30:30Speaker 2: He is the fourth most owned player in the game.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Myself and Sam own him. You don't own him, do you.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Actually this is probably all right news. He did, Okay,
- 30:42Speaker 2: So it's treble whammy of bad news for us on this.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Podcast, absolutely ever since I brought him in because as well,
- 30:49Speaker 3: so actually maybe need Oh it's my fault. Now what
- 30:52Speaker 3: do we do though, Jeels, that's a great question. Sorry,
- 30:55Speaker 3: left graving cottage on stretches on crutches.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Did you say stretchers, Yeah, reach like on crutches.
- 31:04Speaker 3: That's what I meant. Left on crutches, which is never
- 31:07Speaker 3: good news. Although it doesn't mean too much. It just
- 31:10Speaker 3: made it might just mean like precaution not to put
- 31:13Speaker 3: any weight on his leg. But you could see his
- 31:16Speaker 3: face as soon as he went down really early on,
- 31:18Speaker 3: after twenty minutes in that game. I said, I said
- 31:21Speaker 3: the craving cottages as well. I meant obviously, Oh.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I didn't even know palace. They could have left craving Cottage.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Maybe he took a dtail there.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe right now on the on the game is
- 31:34Speaker 3: the yellow flight with seventy five percent chances of playing
- 31:37Speaker 3: on the twenty seventh against it switch at the Emirates.
- 31:40Speaker 3: I think that's pretty optimistic.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Why did it have to be ahead of such a
- 31:43Speaker 1: good fixture.
- 31:44Speaker 3: Well, although to be fair, at least have someone played
- 31:47Speaker 3: Saturday and then don't play until the twenty seven. So
- 31:50Speaker 3: it's not like if they were boxing. At least they
- 31:51Speaker 3: will have twenty four hours more than the ones who
- 31:53Speaker 3: play on Boxing day. But I still think that it
- 31:57Speaker 3: won't feature. They won't take any risks now, there's no
- 31:59Speaker 3: point taking any risk anyway. Also because the offense to ipswich,
- 32:03Speaker 3: but it is on a Hipswich coming to Emerk So
- 32:06Speaker 3: but it's true if it'd been maybe a City or Liverpool,
- 32:08Speaker 3: they would have tried anything they could to get him
- 32:11Speaker 3: ready for that right now, just give him some resk,
- 32:13Speaker 3: give him some time. As we said, the three games
- 32:16Speaker 3: very close now and as long as you can be
- 32:19Speaker 3: back maybe for the second or the third one, that'd
- 32:21Speaker 3: be good. So I would hold and bench him instead
- 32:24Speaker 3: of selling. But if you want to sell, as long
- 32:27Speaker 3: as you keep the money in the bank to bring
- 32:28Speaker 3: him back almost as soon as as when he's fit again,
- 32:32Speaker 3: then that's fine as well.
- 32:33Speaker 2: It's really tough actually, because we're waiting for news, but
- 32:36Speaker 2: his price already went down overnight, Sam, which suggests that
- 32:38Speaker 2: people want to get that money out of him and
- 32:41Speaker 2: moving more. It's frustrating because obviously you keep the money.
- 32:44Speaker 2: So obviously if you brought him for ten point two,
- 32:46Speaker 2: for example, and he's now ten point six, then you
- 32:49Speaker 2: get to sell him for ten point four. He went
- 32:51Speaker 2: down to ten point five overnight, which then means that
- 32:53Speaker 2: he goes down a point one for when you sell him,
- 32:55Speaker 2: which is exactly what happened to me with the money
- 32:58Speaker 2: I had invested in him. But I knew that was
- 32:59Speaker 2: going to happen last night. I could see that he
- 33:01Speaker 2: was being sold on mass, but I didn't want to
- 33:03Speaker 2: sell him because AA wants a little bit more information.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Be jeors.
- 33:07Speaker 2: If he isn't out for as long, we're going to
- 33:08Speaker 2: want him back all of a sudden, and it's going
- 33:10Speaker 2: to cost me to bring him back. And see, I
- 33:12Speaker 2: just don't know who to bring in for him, and
- 33:15Speaker 2: it scares me not to be not to have Arsenal
- 33:17Speaker 2: cover in attack going into that Ipswich game, what do
- 33:20Speaker 2: you think we should do and who should we be
- 33:21Speaker 2: bringing in if we are looking to get rid.
- 33:24Speaker 4: It's difficult because I think if there's two ways of
- 33:26Speaker 4: looking at it, you either go, okay, I've got to
- 33:28Speaker 4: sell Szaka, but I'm going to stay invested in Arsenal
- 33:31Speaker 4: because it's switched up next. So I'm going to go
- 33:33Speaker 4: for one of the other Arsenal midfielders, whether that be
- 33:36Speaker 4: an edit Guard or a Martinelli or Trossard if you like.
- 33:40Speaker 4: Or you could take a bit of a differential punt
- 33:44Speaker 4: on Deck and Rice if you like, because if we
- 33:45Speaker 4: set peace threat and they're going to be even more
- 33:47Speaker 4: important without soccer on the other side, so you have
- 33:51Speaker 4: that option, or you go, okay, I'm going to look
- 33:54Speaker 4: outside Arsenal for the next few weeks. I'm going to
- 33:56Speaker 4: pick on somebody that's got a really nice block of fixtures,
- 33:59Speaker 4: so you could over the next three weeks if you're
- 34:02Speaker 4: feel in particularly brave, go okay, well I'll go for
- 34:04Speaker 4: Phone and then or somebody along that line, because the
- 34:07Speaker 4: man City fixtures are great for the next three weeks,
- 34:09Speaker 4: and if you're only planning to have for a limited
- 34:12Speaker 4: period of time because you know ultimately you want to
- 34:15Speaker 4: go back to soccer. Maybe that's an option that's worth
- 34:18Speaker 4: looking at, Bruno amad you could go with one of
- 34:21Speaker 4: those two the Spurs boys that I talked about at
- 34:24Speaker 4: the beginning, by one I really like for this week
- 34:26Speaker 4: because it's Southampton, but then there's a couple of really
- 34:29Speaker 4: dodgy fixtures against man City and Liverpool to come after that.
- 34:32Speaker 4: I am going to sell soccer because why didn't you
- 34:36Speaker 4: do it last night? That is because I was still
- 34:39Speaker 4: raging about Spurs last night. I'm going to sell soccer.
- 34:43Speaker 4: I didn't do it last night because I don't know
- 34:45Speaker 4: who four yet.
- 34:46Speaker 2: And that's why you don't want to rush into such
- 34:48Speaker 2: a big decision like that, do you exactly? Because for
- 34:51Speaker 2: me at ten point five now, that's too much money
- 34:55Speaker 2: to hold indefinitely on a bench when I don't really
- 34:57Speaker 2: know what's happening with him. So I'm going to sell
- 35:01Speaker 2: him and I'm going to use the money to upgrade
- 35:05Speaker 2: my forward line. And I get what Jews is saying
- 35:07Speaker 2: about leave the money in the bank. But until we
- 35:09Speaker 2: have more information about soccer and how bad the injury
- 35:13Speaker 2: is or not, and hopefully it's or not and he
- 35:16Speaker 2: can come back into my team quicker. But if he's
- 35:18Speaker 2: going to be out for a month four it won't
- 35:20Speaker 2: be a month but four games because they come so
- 35:24Speaker 2: thick and fast. But over four games you can make
- 35:27Speaker 2: ten point five million and massively work for you. But Sammy,
- 35:30Speaker 2: you're not worry The thing that worries me is that
- 35:32Speaker 2: if you then spread that money into your forward line,
- 35:34Speaker 2: for example, it's going to be really hard to get
- 35:36Speaker 2: him back if all of a sudden, this injury isn't
- 35:37Speaker 2: as bad as first feed. Yeah, but I think there's
- 35:40Speaker 2: always somebody that you can sell, Like in my team,
- 35:41Speaker 2: I've got Bruno there, so worst case scenario. My thought
- 35:45Speaker 2: process was, well, if I sell Socca and say I
- 35:47Speaker 2: use the money from Soccer to go down to a
- 35:51Speaker 2: mid priced Ish midfielder and then use that money to
- 35:54Speaker 2: upgrade Jow Pedro or Evan Nilsen, whichever one I decided
- 35:58Speaker 2: to upgrade to Anysac or a Jack, then somebody in
- 36:00Speaker 2: that ballpark. It's not that hard to get from Bruno
- 36:04Speaker 2: Fernandez up to Soakka.
- 36:05Speaker 4: It would be difficult to get from my new six
- 36:08Speaker 4: ish million midfielder. But it's not that hard to get
- 36:11Speaker 4: from Bruno Fernandez. Just come down somewhere else and that
- 36:14Speaker 4: give me the budget to go up because I'm not
- 36:16Speaker 4: going to spend all of that money upgrading my forward line,
- 36:18Speaker 4: if that makes sense. So I don't think it's that
- 36:21Speaker 4: hard to get from Bruno back up to Socca.
- 36:24Speaker 5: It's just you do have to have a plan. I
- 36:27Speaker 5: think you can't just do it blind down.
- 36:28Speaker 3: And keep some free transfers you don't want.
- 36:31Speaker 1: No, if you.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Were doors, if you were wanting to stay with Arsenal,
- 36:35Speaker 2: say you've decided you really need some playing playing Arsenal
- 36:39Speaker 2: attacker and Bucuyosaka is not, and you're going to do
- 36:42Speaker 2: what Sam said. Bacayosaka, you don't think he's going to feature,
- 36:44Speaker 2: so you're going to sell him and you're going to
- 36:45Speaker 2: reinvest elsewhere. Would you stay in the Arsenal midfield? Are
- 36:49Speaker 2: there other options that you think gives you points? Or
- 36:51Speaker 2: gabrielle Jozus's price went up one Sunday night. Would you
- 36:54Speaker 2: be tempted to look at him? Does it look like
- 36:57Speaker 2: he's back? Obviously we saw his returns of the get
- 37:00Speaker 2: back to his best.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I think it's great. When you score
- 37:03Speaker 3: five goals in two games, it's good. It's good for you,
- 37:06Speaker 3: it's great momentum, it's great boost of confidence, it's good
- 37:09Speaker 3: for your team. It gives another option to make who can,
- 37:13Speaker 3: for example, play a ha. It's a bit deeper if
- 37:15Speaker 3: he wants to, like we saw against Palace, which you
- 37:18Speaker 3: give away a little bit of control because you would
- 37:22Speaker 3: have more control with rights and midfield instead of habits
- 37:24Speaker 3: for example. But you gain much more when you have
- 37:26Speaker 3: the ball going forward. And we still have a scoring
- 37:29Speaker 3: as well as gabriege Jesis in that game. So that
- 37:31Speaker 3: was very interesting. It'll be like the suppose ideas combo.
- 37:34Speaker 3: We had the harves Garbrige Jesuses combo as well on
- 37:36Speaker 3: Saturday for us On that worked really really well in possession,
- 37:39Speaker 3: not so much of position. But so that's interesting. The
- 37:43Speaker 3: thing is, oh, the guard that's blank for the last
- 37:44Speaker 3: four games now four game weeks, which is still marchin
- 37:47Speaker 3: of the guard, and it's still be very important. And
- 37:49Speaker 3: he will take the corners and set peace on the
- 37:51Speaker 3: Saka side and rights on the other side because they
- 37:54Speaker 3: need an in swinger, so he would be him, so
- 37:56Speaker 3: that that could be interesting, but he still has blanked
- 37:59Speaker 3: for four game in a row. Now, Martinelli is a
- 38:01Speaker 3: bit hit and miss too, and yet he scored and
- 38:05Speaker 3: did Ocare did well against Palace, and I guess he
- 38:07Speaker 3: could also be a replacement for Socca as a right
- 38:10Speaker 3: winger like we saw in the Palace game. Trossa is
- 38:12Speaker 3: a bit hit and missed as well, so it's a
- 38:14Speaker 3: little bit difficult. You could go and douvelop at the
- 38:17Speaker 3: back with Ryan one of the defenders for his blog
- 38:19Speaker 3: to defenders, Timber, Gabrielle, Gabret, Saliba, whatever. But if you
- 38:23Speaker 3: want an Arsenal attacker to cover for Socca, if you
- 38:26Speaker 3: sell him, then I guess maybe oh the guard is
- 38:30Speaker 3: your best option. But I'm not convinced by either older
- 38:33Speaker 3: Guard Martinelli, Trossar Harved or Gabriel Jesus is either for now.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Okay, great, not my promise, No, it's all right. We
- 38:39Speaker 2: weren't on to still on this podcast, Okay, So it's
- 38:41Speaker 2: quite interesting as well. We've got two kind of size.
- 38:43Speaker 2: I haven't decided what I'm doing yet, but we obviously
- 38:45Speaker 2: got one Socker holder and one Soca seller, so be
- 38:47Speaker 2: interesting to see what everyone else does and if his
- 38:49Speaker 2: Price continues to full keep an eye out. I don't
- 38:51Speaker 2: know if Mikelte is going to have a press.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Conference jels, I don't.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Yeah today I think.
- 38:55Speaker 5: Is it stright?
- 38:56Speaker 2: Okay, So man, it's definitely worth listening to what Michelotte
- 38:58Speaker 2: says that. Of course we've in here before with Michael
- 39:00Speaker 2: Arteta in his soccer comments, haven't we. Though it did
- 39:02Speaker 2: sound like he was a bit bit more kind of
- 39:05Speaker 2: brutally honest after that game on Saturday. So yeah, but
- 39:08Speaker 2: I I osaka keep an eye on his fitness as
- 39:10Speaker 2: always we run over on the podcast. We were hoping
- 39:12Speaker 2: to have a big overview look at the festive week
- 39:15Speaker 2: but let's be honest, we can barely keep the FPL
- 39:17Speaker 2: pod into the FPL pod let alone when we try
- 39:19Speaker 2: and make the off the bench as well, but we do.
- 39:22Speaker 2: I feel like it will be REMISSI us Sam not
- 39:24Speaker 2: to just quickly mention Manchester City because we talked about, well,
- 39:28Speaker 2: we glossed over their defeats to Aston Villa at the weekend,
- 39:32Speaker 2: and we use the fixture ticker a lot, particularly this
- 39:35Speaker 2: time of year, I find because it's really relevant because
- 39:37Speaker 2: it kind of the fixtures are supplice close together it
- 39:39Speaker 2: kind of tells us what not only a team's long
- 39:41Speaker 2: run is. But like the next two weeks, City are
- 39:44Speaker 2: actually top of the fixture ticker At the moment, I
- 39:47Speaker 2: can't even consider investing in them because the form just
- 39:50Speaker 2: isn't there. Can you or do we just have to
- 39:52Speaker 2: at the moment go until we see any glimmers of
- 39:55Speaker 2: light from pepside. We kind of have to ignore this
- 39:57Speaker 2: fixture ticker in the fact they're top.
- 39:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:59Speaker 4: I mean, it's weird, isn't it, because the next three
- 40:01Speaker 4: fixtures Everton, Leicester and west Ham. In any other fprcas
- 40:06Speaker 4: you just go invest, but not just invest. It'd be
- 40:10Speaker 4: like Harlem plus two more and you just treble up
- 40:12Speaker 4: and you try and absolutely get as many points as
- 40:15Speaker 4: you can from the next few weeks. But Everton have
- 40:17Speaker 4: become peak defense again over the last couple of weeks,
- 40:22Speaker 4: So would it surprise.
- 40:23Speaker 5: You for sure?
- 40:24Speaker 4: And diice to park a bus, particularly as man City
- 40:27Speaker 4: aren't scoring a lot of goals now. The one thing
- 40:29Speaker 4: I will say is that that phone and goal was
- 40:31Speaker 4: a bit more of the phone that I am used
- 40:34Speaker 4: to watching at the weekend, but still not a great
- 40:37Speaker 4: performance from Manchester City. So it's difficult. I'm not going
- 40:40Speaker 4: for Harlem because the budget thing is too much. I
- 40:43Speaker 4: can't work out how I do and there's no.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Form there to get there.
- 40:45Speaker 5: There's no form.
- 40:46Speaker 4: I did have a moment on Saturday where I thought,
- 40:50Speaker 4: when Saka got injured, where I thought maybe a pump
- 40:53Speaker 4: on a man City midfielder because it's literally just going
- 40:56Speaker 4: to be a temporary thing. But I've been there once
- 41:00Speaker 4: already this season with Phoning and it didn't end well.
- 41:02Speaker 4: So I'm kind of looking at it thinking I'm not
- 41:04Speaker 4: really sure where i'd go. So for me, I'm just
- 41:08Speaker 4: not going to have any Man City, which feels mad
- 41:11Speaker 4: when you look at the fixtures, But I just don't
- 41:13Speaker 4: know how I would invest, and that particularly worries me
- 41:17Speaker 4: for Game Week nineteen in the Leicester fixture, with the
- 41:20Speaker 4: way that Leicester have been conceding goals. But right now
- 41:24Speaker 4: it's tough to know who the best Man City asset
- 41:27Speaker 4: to go to is to cover out this period.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Okay, just to mark your card in case you haven't
- 41:31Speaker 2: checked the fixture ticker recently and you don't want to
- 41:33Speaker 2: invest in Manchester City. Just behind them, it's Chelsea, Southampton,
- 41:37Speaker 2: Spurs and Liverpool behind them on the ticker. So yeah,
- 41:41Speaker 2: maybe a couple of teams there Spurs as well, if
- 41:44Speaker 2: you fancy it, and if you're as optimistic as Sam
- 41:45Speaker 2: to maybe.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Investing and come on to Mystic.
- 41:50Speaker 2: There's suspension site Rover quick check in there just to
- 41:52Speaker 2: let you know that Nico Williams, Morsey, Pakeetta, Dominguez and
- 41:55Speaker 2: Young all picked up their fifth yellow cards of the season.
- 41:57Speaker 2: They're now suspended. In game week eighteen, Max Corne ineligible
- 42:01Speaker 2: to face his parent club on Boxing Day two. Okay,
- 42:03Speaker 2: Differential of the Week Sam one last week with kudos
- 42:06Speaker 2: nine points. Jorge Charda got two points.
- 42:09Speaker 3: The worst pick. He was dreadful in that games just
- 42:12Speaker 3: for him terrible.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Okay, Well, it doesn't mean that you have to go
- 42:15Speaker 2: second on differential pick as well. So Sam over to you.
- 42:18Speaker 4: I actually had two and I can't decide which one
- 42:20Speaker 4: I prefer.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Do you want to Jews go next, Jews go first?
- 42:23Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 42:23Speaker 3: Then a great one, great one this week.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Really worse than last week.
- 42:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true, that's true. My pick this week for
- 42:30Speaker 3: differential is John duran was there one of yours? No good?
- 42:36Speaker 3: I mean he scored again, returned in the last three.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Now seven points five points eight points only on by
- 42:41Speaker 3: four point two percent of the managers. It would cost
- 42:44Speaker 3: five point eight million, so it's really cheap compared to
- 42:47Speaker 3: some of the other four wards that you could look at.
- 42:50Speaker 3: And he's just on fire. And I know before he
- 42:53Speaker 3: was a super SEP, so it was hard for us
- 42:54Speaker 3: to invest in him because because it's a super SEP,
- 42:58Speaker 3: so he would get five minutes, twenty minutes, fifty we
- 43:00Speaker 3: never knew for sure. And now it seems to be
- 43:03Speaker 3: the starter ahead of Ali Watkins and delivering as well
- 43:07Speaker 3: every time he starts now, so really really impressed with him.
- 43:11Speaker 3: They have Newcastle which's nine easy game, and then Brighton
- 43:14Speaker 3: and Lester, so it's not one just for this game
- 43:16Speaker 3: we're coming, but more for the next three easily. But yeah,
- 43:20Speaker 3: I just think that he brings something very different, all
- 43:23Speaker 3: that energy that left for his great the physicality him
- 43:26Speaker 3: and Rogers get on, I think much better than Rogers
- 43:29Speaker 3: and Watkins ever did so far this season. And I
- 43:33Speaker 3: think that is something that I am also noticed. So yeah,
- 43:36Speaker 3: John d run for me.
- 43:38Speaker 4: Okay, Sammy on a bit of a roll with these,
- 43:39Speaker 4: aren't you. It's not going too badly at the moment,
- 43:42Speaker 4: and these two, I think both could. So I had
- 43:43Speaker 4: Deck and Rice and Jotta this week, so I think
- 43:47Speaker 4: I'm going to go for Diego Jota. So he's seven
- 43:49Speaker 4: point two million, so a little bit more expensive, but
- 43:51Speaker 4: still not ridiculous. And if you've got a sacker spot
- 43:53Speaker 4: on your team could fill it quite nicely. He's only
- 43:55Speaker 4: own by three point two million, and there is a
- 43:57Speaker 4: risk here. It is risky him because he is very
- 44:02Speaker 4: much being eased back in gently. He got eleven minutes
- 44:04Speaker 4: against philm in game week seventeen. In that one, obviously,
- 44:06Speaker 4: he scores the goal and gets two bonus points.
- 44:08Speaker 5: That was nice.
- 44:09Speaker 4: Gets twenty two minutes against Spurs in game week seventeen.
- 44:13Speaker 4: I'm expecting him to start a game over Christmas, it's
- 44:15Speaker 4: just which one. I'm hoping it'll be this one because
- 44:18Speaker 4: obviously it's against a lesser side of conceded fourteen goals
- 44:22Speaker 4: in their last five game weeks. So he could definitely
- 44:25Speaker 4: return well in this one if he gets minutes. Even
- 44:27Speaker 4: if he doesn't start and just comes on for sort
- 44:29Speaker 4: of thirty five forty minutes in this one, I still
- 44:32Speaker 4: think he could do well over the course of the season.
- 44:34Speaker 4: Seventeen attempts on goal created six chances and he's been
- 44:37Speaker 4: out for a while, so yeah, I kind of I
- 44:41Speaker 4: don't know if I've picked the right one, but we'll
- 44:42Speaker 4: go with Jotta anyway because I like that fiction more.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Okay, nice couple of differentials their transfers and captains. There's
- 44:49Speaker 2: not a chance that George has thought about this, considering
- 44:52Speaker 2: there's Christmas Eve, He's probably he's probably not done his
- 44:54Speaker 2: Christmas shopping yet, his Christmas.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Day, Christmas and day exactly. I've gone transfers and captains.
- 45:01Speaker 3: No. I tried to get to his sack, and I
- 45:03Speaker 3: love Salas captain. I don't think I don't think you
- 45:05Speaker 3: can take take the armbue off him.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Yeah okay, oh wow, that was more decisile than I expected. Sam,
- 45:11Speaker 1: I'm going to sell soccer. I don't know who for definitely, Yeah, yeah.
- 45:16Speaker 4: Unless unless Artista comes out and says no, it's fine,
- 45:19Speaker 4: he's going to play.
- 45:20Speaker 5: I'm going to sell soccer four.
- 45:24Speaker 1: This is the hard of it of the question.
- 45:25Speaker 4: This is the hard of it, and this is why
- 45:26Speaker 4: I didn't do it last night, because I don't know,
- 45:28Speaker 4: Like part of me wants to go Jotter or Das
- 45:31Speaker 4: and target that fixture at Liverpool, but it's working out
- 45:33Speaker 4: which one is the right one, and it's a bit risky.
- 45:37Speaker 4: I did ponder on doubling up with Kulisvski and Selanky,
- 45:40Speaker 4: but that also felt like too much given its forest
- 45:44Speaker 4: and forests are actually really good defensively, so I don't
- 45:47Speaker 4: think I want to go there. I like Bowen for
- 45:48Speaker 4: this week, but I don't like him for the two
- 45:50Speaker 4: that follow. So basically this is why I didn't make
- 45:52Speaker 4: the transfer last night. I've got to make a decision
- 45:54Speaker 4: and go. I might just go really cheap, might come
- 45:56Speaker 4: right down in price point and free up a load
- 45:59Speaker 4: of money.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Okay, Well, enjoy that you said that you put on
- 46:03Speaker 2: the last podcast that over Christmas you actually focus on
- 46:05Speaker 2: your kids and you make your transfer and you don't
- 46:08Speaker 2: focus on it on Christmas Day. But I get the
- 46:09Speaker 2: feeling that Sam might beat in a turkey making an
- 46:11Speaker 2: FBL transfer under the table this year, giving the amount
- 46:15Speaker 2: of options she seems to have there. Yeah, I haven't
- 46:17Speaker 2: got clue what I'm going to do yet either, because
- 46:18Speaker 2: I'm waiting on news for Kunya. So I could have
- 46:20Speaker 2: really done without that book. I sacker injury plus of course,
- 46:24Speaker 2: something were we mentioned Mikolenko. I've got some defenders with
- 46:27Speaker 2: some not such nice fixtures as well, so I haven't
- 46:30Speaker 2: made any points hits recently, but potentially there could be
- 46:32Speaker 2: one on the cards, so.
- 46:34Speaker 5: Stay points here.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm hoping that Santa kind of maybe delivers me
- 46:38Speaker 2: a lot of FPL points so the points the points
- 46:41Speaker 2: hit doesn't feel quite so bad. A reminder, then, guys,
- 46:43Speaker 2: your deadline is eleven am, ninety minutes ahead of the
- 46:46Speaker 2: twelve thirty kickoff between Manchester City and Everton on Boxing Day.
- 46:50Speaker 1: We're going to be back.
- 46:51Speaker 2: On Saturday, that is, the twenty eighth of December, as
- 46:53Speaker 2: we'll be looking back on Game Week nineteen. The deadlines
- 46:57Speaker 2: do come thick and fast, so do what I always say,
- 46:59Speaker 2: put your alarms on. I know your family m are
- 47:01Speaker 2: not appreciate it, but your FPL team certainly well. The
- 47:04Speaker 2: Fantasy Show is going to be back with Ian today
- 47:06Speaker 2: on Monday, and he'll also be back with you on
- 47:08Speaker 2: Friday as well, so plenty of FPL content for you there.
- 47:11Speaker 2: I'll then be back on The Fantasy Show in the
- 47:13Speaker 2: new year because I unfortunately can't make it this week,
- 47:16Speaker 2: but we'll be back as I said on Saturday. Have
- 47:18Speaker 2: a wonderful Christmas if you are celebrating as I said.
- 47:21Speaker 2: If not, we hope you get lots of FPL points regardless.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Thanks for listening to us, and we'll see you on Saturday.
- 47:26Speaker 3: Guys.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Bybye,
