Woman Charged with Child Torture in Chisholm | Duluth News
A Chisholm woman, 36-year-old Paula Jo McCallister, faces seven felony charges including child torture and assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly subjecting a child to horrific abuse from last fall through this January — including forced kneeling with weights, confinement without basic needs, and even holding a loaded gun to the child’s forehead. The child reportedly feared speaking up, fearing authorities wouldn’t believe them. McCallister has posted $100K bail and is set to return to court this Wednesday.
