- 0:58Speaker 2: Welcome back to Misunderstood. I'm Rachel. You could tell.
- 1:01Speaker 1: It's crazy to think the bachelor franchise has been on
- 1:03Speaker 1: the air for 20 years. It's totally insane, which with
- 1:07Speaker 1: the bachelorette, the bachelor in paradise, and now the golden bachelor,
- 1:11Speaker 1: which I was totally into. It's the franchise that became
- 1:14Speaker 1: a whole nation. Today, we have one of your all-time
- 1:17Speaker 1: favorites from the show, Carly Waddell. She first appeared on
- 1:20Speaker 1: Desiree's season of The Bachelorette when her own brother, Zach,
- 1:23Speaker 1: was one of the suitors, and producers liked her so
- 1:26Speaker 1: much that they invited her to participate herself. She was
- 1:29Speaker 1: then on Chris Soule's season.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Do you remember him? He was like the hottest.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Then Bachelor in Paradise, where we saw her get her
- 1:35Speaker 1: heart broke in And then the following season, we got
- 1:38Speaker 1: to see her fall in love, get engaged, and actually
- 1:41Speaker 1: marry the guy. The thing I love about having people
- 1:43Speaker 1: on the show that become famous from reality TV is
- 1:46Speaker 1: that everyone thinks that they know them, but you really
- 1:49Speaker 1: only know a small piece of who they are. And
- 1:51Speaker 1: I love to discover who they are outside of that image.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Carly comes from a really close family. She's always been
- 1:56Speaker 1: a performer. She even went to college for it and
- 1:59Speaker 1: got her start singing on a cruise ship way before
- 2:01Speaker 1: The Bachelor came into her life. I think one of
- 2:03Speaker 1: the reasons people fell in love with Carly in the
- 2:05Speaker 1: first place, me included, is because she doesn't take herself
- 2:08Speaker 1: too seriously. She opens up about her failures and her dreams.
- 2:12Speaker 1: And now she's going full steam ahead and making her
- 2:14Speaker 1: musical dreams in country music a reality. And this episode
- 2:17Speaker 1: is so fun and full of great girl talk. So
- 2:20Speaker 1: welcome Carly Waddell. Harley, welcome to misunderstood. I'm so happy.
- 2:55Speaker 2: To have you here.
- 2:57Speaker 3: So excited to be here. Can I just say something
- 2:58Speaker 3: real fast?
- 2:59Speaker 4: You like, how do you have a really good face
- 3:02Speaker 4: with a center part and a side part? Like, you know,
- 3:06Speaker 4: like you have like a side part and it looks
- 3:08Speaker 4: so good, but then you also look so good with
- 3:10Speaker 4: the center part.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Really? Oh, well, that's a really nice compliment. Thank you.
- 3:15Speaker 2: You're so funny.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my gosh, look at her hair. It
- 3:17Speaker 3: looks amazing.
- 3:19Speaker 2: You're funny. Well, your hair looks amazing.
- 3:22Speaker 1: So I wanted to, listen, most of the shows I
- 3:26Speaker 1: feel like you do are bachelor centered because you're, you know,
- 3:29Speaker 1: people know you as somebody that was on the bachelor
- 3:32Speaker 1: part of.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Right.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Bachelor in Paradise.
- 3:34Speaker 1: My listeners are not necessarily, I mean, of course, they've
- 3:37Speaker 1: seen The Bachelor. They love The Bachelor, I'm sure, but
- 3:39Speaker 1: are not as familiar already.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Going into it.
- 3:42Speaker 1: So I'm going to ask you a lot of questions
- 3:44Speaker 1: that you may think are like, oh, this is so stupid.
- 3:46Speaker 2: But a lot of our listeners really.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Want to know stuff about what it's like to be
- 3:50Speaker 1: on that show, what it was like for you, all
- 3:52Speaker 1: the gossip that is kind of like things that you
- 3:55Speaker 1: might find tedious because this should be stuff we already know,
- 3:58Speaker 1: but we don't know.
- 3:59Speaker 4: I mean, I'm going to know a lot of information
- 4:01Speaker 4: most people don't know because I was there.
- 4:03Speaker 5: Right.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 4:04Speaker 1: So but what's more important, though, is you are a
- 4:07Speaker 1: person before it and after it. So before you got
- 4:10Speaker 1: on the show, I want to I want people to
- 4:12Speaker 1: get to know who you were and I want to
- 4:13Speaker 1: know who you were before that. So tell me about
- 4:16Speaker 1: like where you grew up, what you were like as
- 4:18Speaker 1: a kid.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Well, I grew up in Dallas, Texas. Um, I have
- 4:24Speaker 3: two older brothers. Uh, I mean, we grew up very,
- 4:27Speaker 3: just like, I don't know, we lived in.
- 4:29Speaker 4: A neighborhood and played, you know, football on the street
- 4:33Speaker 4: and hockey, you know, I grew up singing karaoke in
- 4:36Speaker 4: the garage.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Um, we have a, I have a very tight family.
- 4:42Speaker 3: We're still really tight.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Um, even though only my parents live near me now,
- 4:47Speaker 4: my brothers live in one lives in Texas, one lives
- 4:50Speaker 4: in Florida, but, um.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I had a really great childhood. You know, some people
- 4:56Speaker 3: look back and they say, you know, gosh, I had
- 4:58Speaker 3: a lot of trauma and stuff.
- 4:59Speaker 4: And I don't, I didn't have that experience. You know,
- 5:02Speaker 4: I had things happen here and there, but I'm just
- 5:07Speaker 4: super lucky, honestly.
- 5:08Speaker 1: That's so nice. And did you always love music and singing?
- 5:12Speaker 4: Yes.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I started singing in musicals when I was like probably seven. Wow.
- 5:20Speaker 4: And I did like the musical theater route for a
- 5:23Speaker 4: long time and then got into writing country music and
- 5:26Speaker 4: then started doing country music.
- 5:28Speaker 3: And then I sang on cruise ships.
- 5:30Speaker 4: And then after cruise ships was actually the bachelor stuff.
- 5:34Speaker 4: But the only thing I've ever done to like make
- 5:36Speaker 4: money was like wait tables and sing.
- 5:39Speaker 1: So that's so amazing. Wait, tell me what it's like
- 5:41Speaker 1: to sing on a cruise ship. How did you even
- 5:43Speaker 1: get that job offer?
- 5:45Speaker 4: So I was singing in a show in Savannah, Georgia. Um,
- 5:49Speaker 4: and my best friend at the time who was also
- 5:52Speaker 4: in the show with me, she sang on cruise ships
- 5:54Speaker 4: for a while, um, while I was at college and
- 5:58Speaker 4: they offered her a job and she was like, I
- 6:01Speaker 4: can't do it cause I'm staying in the show. But, um,
- 6:03Speaker 4: I was just covering someone that was pregnant. And so
- 6:06Speaker 4: my time is about to be up and she's like,
- 6:07Speaker 4: you should take the job. And so I just made
- 6:10Speaker 4: a video, send it in. And I was hired like immediately, um,
- 6:14Speaker 4: But it was, I mean, I was, I'd never even
- 6:17Speaker 4: been on a cruise ship. So like, I don't know
- 6:20Speaker 4: what I was getting into. Normally with cruise ships, you
- 6:22Speaker 4: rehearse beforehand, like any show on land, and then you
- 6:26Speaker 4: go take.
- 6:27Speaker 3: It to the ship. And I was replacing somebody. So
- 6:29Speaker 3: I rehearsed on the ship and was in the show
- 6:33Speaker 3: within a week.
- 6:34Speaker 1: And is the show every night or like, do you
- 6:37Speaker 1: have to hang out with the guests?
- 6:39Speaker 2: Do you stay in your room?
- 6:39Speaker 1: Like what's it like for six months doing that?
- 6:41Speaker 4: Well, it depends on the ship, but the first ship
- 6:45Speaker 4: I was on, it had three shows. So you have like,
- 6:48Speaker 4: let's say the, um, you're on there for a week,
- 6:52Speaker 4: you know, some cruises are longer, but usually only rehearse
- 6:54Speaker 4: like three shows, but then you'll have like a cabaret
- 6:57Speaker 4: or some type of fun little show in between that
- 7:01Speaker 4: you do as well. But there's only like three usually
- 7:04Speaker 4: big main stage shows. Um, Um, and then you can,
- 7:08Speaker 4: you can do whatever you can't fraternize with the guests
- 7:10Speaker 4: they say, because.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Then you'll get fired.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Um, but there are definitely people that try, there was
- 7:16Speaker 4: a golf pro one time.
- 7:17Speaker 3: I remember that took this girl back to his room
- 7:19Speaker 3: and he was fired.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Like they just walked to his room, knocked on the
- 7:22Speaker 4: door and they're like, you're bye tomorrow.
- 7:26Speaker 1: But, um, so it's not like the love, it's not
- 7:29Speaker 1: like the love boat where you're meeting a new love
- 7:31Speaker 1: every week.
- 7:32Speaker 5: Oh yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 3: No, you definitely could. I always like ended up dating
- 7:36Speaker 3: somebody that was like a employee.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Like I dated a Russian figure skater for a while.
- 7:42Speaker 4: There was a, on my first ship, there was a, um,
- 7:45Speaker 4: ice rink and he was a figure skater.
- 7:47Speaker 3: He didn't speak any English, but we had fun.
- 7:50Speaker 2: We had a good time.
- 7:52Speaker 4: And then the next two ships I dated the same guy,
- 7:54Speaker 4: but no, it was, you know, there's lots of people
- 7:57Speaker 4: that sleep with other people and then there's people who don't.
- 7:59Speaker 4: And then, you know, there's people who just live it
- 8:03Speaker 4: up and the people who stay in their room. I mean,
- 8:04Speaker 4: I traveled like every time I could get off the ship,
- 8:07Speaker 4: which was pretty much always.
- 8:09Speaker 3: I could, they treat singers very well.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Right, right. And people probably love you anyways.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. You're like the celebrity of the ship.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Right, exactly.
- 8:18Speaker 1: All right, so tell us, you know, I don't know
- 8:20Speaker 1: if a lot of people know this, but you didn't apply.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Most people have to apply to be on The Bachelorette
- 8:25Speaker 1: or on The Bachelor. You fell into it because of
- 8:28Speaker 1: your brother.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Talk to us about that.
- 8:30Speaker 4: So my last cruise ship, when I was on it,
- 8:34Speaker 4: my brother went on The Bachelorette. And, uh, so I
- 8:39Speaker 4: hadn't seen him in nine months.
- 8:41Speaker 3: And cause my last Christmas so long.
- 8:44Speaker 4: And, um, so I got home and he was going
- 8:47Speaker 4: to hometown dates within like three days of getting home.
- 8:50Speaker 4: And so I was literally like fresh off the boat
- 8:53Speaker 4: and he walked in and it was like, so exciting. Um,
- 8:58Speaker 4: And my, they asked my mom to like interview the bachelorette.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Cause they were like, well, we think that she like,
- 9:04Speaker 4: doesn't really, she likes them as a friend and somebody
- 9:07Speaker 4: needs to talk to her kind of harshly about this.
- 9:09Speaker 3: And my mom's like, so scared. She's like, I'm not
- 9:11Speaker 3: going to do it. I'm not going to do it.
- 9:12Speaker 3: And I was like, I don't know, put me in coach.
- 9:14Speaker 3: I'll do it.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 9:15Speaker 3: And so then they, I think they just, I don't know.
- 9:19Speaker 4: I feel like the executive producer at that time was
- 9:21Speaker 4: this guy named Alon Gale. And he just, I think,
- 9:24Speaker 4: loved my spirit and my gumption, I guess. And so
- 9:30Speaker 4: when my brother got kicked off, which was right after
- 9:32Speaker 4: they met us.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Terrible.
- 9:35Speaker 3: It's so terrible. We got him kicked off. But anyway,
- 9:40Speaker 3: then he was like, would you ever want to do
- 9:42Speaker 3: the show? Yeah. And the next person to be The
- 9:49Speaker 3: Bachelor was Juan Pablo.
- 9:51Speaker 6: And he was like, Being a student is expensive.
- 9:55Speaker 5: Rent, books, your morning coffee, your mid-morning coffee, your I'm
- 9:59Speaker 5: about to fall.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Coffee.
- 10:02Speaker 5: So here's something that won't break the bank. A subscription
- 10:05Speaker 5: to the Irish Times for.
- 10:07Speaker 7: Just € 5 a month.

- 10:12Speaker 5: exclusive newsletters, all for less than the price of your

- 10:17Speaker 7: The Irish Times for just € 5 a month.
- 10:20Speaker 6: The ultimate student discount.
- 10:22Speaker 4: My brother's best friend on the show and Juan Pablo
- 10:24Speaker 4: and I, we just don't get along.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Okay.
- 10:27Speaker 3: And so I was like, no, I'm not doing it.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Wait, why don't we get along?
- 10:31Speaker 3: I don't know. He's just like, you know those people
- 10:34Speaker 3: in life that you just butt heads? Yeah.
- 10:36Speaker 4: I felt like he was like, the brother that I
- 10:40Speaker 4: never had that I butted heads with all the time
- 10:42Speaker 4: because he was like around quite a bit.
- 10:44Speaker 3: I'm always hanging out.
- 10:46Speaker 4: With, you know, my brother Zach. And I don't know,
- 10:48Speaker 4: he just always had something to say. And I was like,
- 10:51Speaker 4: I don't need your opinions. Like, I don't need your opinions.
- 10:54Speaker 1: But I was like, at this point, at this point,
- 10:56Speaker 1: had your brother said, this was such a fun experience.
- 10:58Speaker 2: I loved it. You should offer it to you.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Yeah. He was like, absolutely. You should do it. You're
- 11:03Speaker 3: not going to get another chance. I was like, watch me.
- 11:07Speaker 4: And my brothers, both of them, they were really mad
- 11:12Speaker 4: because they truly thought like this was it.
- 11:15Speaker 2: And then, um, but did.
- 11:17Speaker 1: They want it for you because they wanted you to
- 11:19Speaker 1: find love or they wanted you to become famous?
- 11:21Speaker 4: Honestly, I think my brothers wanted it for exposure and
- 11:25Speaker 4: for me, but I didn't, I was like, I don't
- 11:28Speaker 4: like him and I don't want to date him.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Why would I do that? That is so dumb.
- 11:33Speaker 4: And honestly, one of the huge reasons I left cruise
- 11:35Speaker 4: ships was because it was I was so lonely and
- 11:39Speaker 4: I was like, I'm going to get stuck doing this.
- 11:41Speaker 4: And I'm going to be 45 years old, single, still
- 11:44Speaker 4: singing cruise ships.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Like I want a family. I want a husband. I
- 11:47Speaker 3: want a boyfriend. I want some, a life. Yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 4: And so, um, then, uh, they were like, well, if
- 11:53Speaker 4: you ever, if there's ever a bachelor that like gets
- 11:56Speaker 4: announced that you would want to date, let us know.
- 11:58Speaker 3: And so Chris souls was.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Announced on good morning America. And immediately I texted the
- 12:04Speaker 4: producer a lot. And I was like, please let me on.
- 12:06Speaker 4: I want to date him.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, so wait, let me understand this.
- 12:12Speaker 1: So once he's announced, they haven't actually picked the girls
- 12:14Speaker 1: yet that are going to film.
- 12:15Speaker 4: There's a lot of girls that have been picked, but
- 12:18Speaker 4: in this scenario, me and actually, which is crazy, my
- 12:24Speaker 4: best friend from the show, Jade, we were the last
- 12:26Speaker 4: two picked and it was after he had already been announced.
- 12:29Speaker 3: So they have like, I think most people chosen. And
- 12:32Speaker 3: then there's a few stragglers that come along at the end. Right.
- 12:38Speaker 1: So if they had announced that Chris souls was going
- 12:41Speaker 1: to be a bachelor and they had talked to me
- 12:42Speaker 1: about doing the, being one of the girls, I would
- 12:45Speaker 1: have been like, hi, I'm over here. He, in my opinion,
- 12:48Speaker 1: he was and remains the hottest bachelor.
- 12:53Speaker 4: I will say, I agree with you on the physical part.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I just, he was hard for me to talk to
- 12:59Speaker 4: and I can kind of talk to anybody. And he
- 13:01Speaker 4: was like, he was, it was hard to like pull
- 13:04Speaker 4: things out of him.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Like we were friends. We were like homies. We weren't
- 13:09Speaker 3: like good.
- 13:10Speaker 2: There was no sexual chemistry.
- 13:12Speaker 3: No.
- 13:13Speaker 4: And they tried, they put me on like this sex
- 13:15Speaker 4: date with them. And then they tried to get us
- 13:16Speaker 4: naked and all these things. And I was like, no,
- 13:18Speaker 4: this is so weird.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Oh my God.

- 15:45Speaker 1: So now tell us what it's like to be on
- 15:48Speaker 1: that with all these girls and you're all vying for
- 15:51Speaker 1: the same guy. How does that really work? I mean,
- 15:53Speaker 1: are you hating the girls, loving them? Is it, are
- 15:56Speaker 1: you never seeing Chris? You're only seeing him once in
- 15:58Speaker 1: a while. Like explain the whole thing.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Okay. So it starts out.
- 16:02Speaker 4: And you're honestly, I feel like you're just trying to
- 16:04Speaker 4: kind of find your people at first, or there's people
- 16:07Speaker 4: that just focus solely on the bachelor, right?
- 16:09Speaker 3: They're like, I don't need friends. I'm here for this,
- 16:12Speaker 3: which is fine.
- 16:13Speaker 1: And is there a certain strategy for either airtime or
- 16:16Speaker 1: to get time with him?
- 16:17Speaker 4: Like my strategy coming on was because I always get
- 16:22Speaker 4: nervous about not even on regular dates.
- 16:24Speaker 3: I'm like, what am I going to talk about? So
- 16:26Speaker 3: I kind of like plan out what I'm going to say,
- 16:29Speaker 3: some questions in my head. So I came with like, props.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Like I came with, um, different items that I would
- 16:37Speaker 4: take into, into our time together. And like, uh, so
- 16:43Speaker 4: that we'd have something to talk about. Like I brought
- 16:45Speaker 4: the first thing I did for the first night was
- 16:47Speaker 4: I brought one of those, um, fortune teller things that
- 16:49Speaker 4: you like do this.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Oh yeah. Yeah.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Had like a question on it, which I don't even
- 16:54Speaker 4: create conversation.
- 16:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:56Speaker 3: But then the next year they use that idea. And
- 16:58Speaker 3: I was like, rude. That was my idea. Um, But
- 17:02Speaker 3: take credit.
- 17:03Speaker 4: But I brought little things or I would come up
- 17:06Speaker 4: with like questions or whatever before going into my time. But,
- 17:12Speaker 4: you know, lots of girls just, you know, went up
- 17:15Speaker 4: and talked to him and that was cool. That's what
- 17:18Speaker 4: you're supposed to do probably. But, you know, you don't
- 17:21Speaker 4: see him very often. You see him if there's like
- 17:24Speaker 4: a group date. But again, it's like, you know, weird things.
- 17:29Speaker 4: you get a few seconds of his time, unless you have,
- 17:32Speaker 4: you know, those one-on-one dates. And even with the one-on-one.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Day, you usually have an activity and then you have
- 17:37Speaker 3: like a dinner. So the activity probably lasts.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Like an hour.
- 17:42Speaker 3: You don't drive in the same car to the activity.
- 17:45Speaker 3: You're separate. Sometimes you drive back together, but not most
- 17:50Speaker 3: of the times you're usually pretty separate unless you're on.
- 17:53Speaker 1: A camera and do you feel like it took you
- 17:55Speaker 1: a while to realize that there wasn't a lot of
- 17:58Speaker 1: chemistry between you two or you knew immediately from just
- 18:01Speaker 1: watching how he interacted with people I think I.
- 18:07Speaker 4: With me I think that I knew there wasn't a
- 18:11Speaker 4: lot of chemistry like I think it was like our
- 18:17Speaker 4: first group date. When I talked to him a few
- 18:19Speaker 4: times at the mansion, I was like, Oh, he's so attractive. Like, yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 4: this could work or whatever.
- 18:25Speaker 3: I can make it work. I can make it work.
- 18:28Speaker 4: But again, like back then I was really like, I
- 18:31Speaker 4: hadn't dated anybody in a long time. My, my boyfriend
- 18:36Speaker 4: that was like on two cruise ships with me, like
- 18:39Speaker 4: in the middle of like dating him, like stopped wanting
- 18:42Speaker 4: to have sex with me, which was like really fucked
- 18:44Speaker 4: with my brain. And like, it was just there.
- 18:46Speaker 3: I was like in a really weird, like not feeling
- 18:49Speaker 3: sexy about myself. Yeah.
- 18:52Speaker 4: So I think I also kind of got myself into
- 18:54Speaker 4: friend zone really easily because I wasn't like rooted with
- 18:59Speaker 4: my vagina, you know, like, and so, um, really.
- 19:05Speaker 3: I think a couple, like, I don't know, a couple
- 19:08Speaker 3: of dates.
- 19:08Speaker 4: And I was kind of like, Hmm, this is kind
- 19:12Speaker 4: of not going well like i just i.
- 19:15Speaker 5: Being a student is expensive rent books your morning coffee
- 19:20Speaker 5: your mid-morning coffee your.
- 19:22Speaker 6: I'm about to fall asleep in the middle of a lecture.
- 19:24Speaker 5: Coffee So here's something that won't break the bank. A
- 19:27Speaker 5: subscription to the Irish Times for just five euro a month.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Get every article, 165 years of journalism, daily puzzles and
- 19:35Speaker 5: exclusive newsletters, all for less than the price of your
- 19:38Speaker 5: daily coffee habit. The Irish Times for just five euro
- 19:42Speaker 5: a month. The ultimate student discount.
- 19:44Speaker 4: I could just tell it was like kind of hard
- 19:46Speaker 4: to talk to him and we were kind of getting
- 19:48Speaker 4: more in like friend zone. And then our dinner we had,
- 19:51Speaker 4: I felt like maybe it could go somewhere. But then,
- 19:54Speaker 4: I don't know, by the end I was like, I
- 19:57Speaker 4: could see him having like really strong connections with other people.
- 20:00Speaker 3: And it honestly didn't really bother me.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:03Speaker 3: So if it doesn't bother you, that probably means that's
- 20:06Speaker 3: not your person.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Yeah, probably.
- 20:08Speaker 4: Because lots of girls would really upset them. They're like,
- 20:11Speaker 4: we just had this amazing date. Now he's going out
- 20:13Speaker 4: with this girl. And like, it just breaks my heart.
- 20:15Speaker 4: And I wasn't feeling like that.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:18Speaker 1: So I've always wondered how, how that editing goes, or
- 20:21Speaker 1: if you feel like it's true, like as you see
- 20:23Speaker 1: it unfold, even in episode one, two, three early on,
- 20:27Speaker 1: people are saying, oh yeah, I could definitely fall in love.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 20:30Speaker 1: There's, you know, multiple people I could fall in love with.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And then all the way to the end, you know,
- 20:33Speaker 1: you string along too. And then you pick, do you
- 20:36Speaker 1: believe that that's really true? Like, do you think you
- 20:39Speaker 1: could be in love with two people and not know
- 20:41Speaker 1: until that very last moment?
- 20:42Speaker 3: You know, I think about that often because it's been happening.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I feel like more lately. Yeah. I don't, I don't,
- 20:50Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know the answer to that.
- 20:53Speaker 4: I think, I think with the girls, like when they're
- 20:57Speaker 4: the bachelorette, I do think there's something about like almost
- 21:01Speaker 4: like a loyalty they feel for the first person they like.
- 21:04Speaker 4: And usually that first person goes really far with guys.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Sometimes it's like super up.
- 21:10Speaker 2: In the air.
- 21:11Speaker 3: But I don't know.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I mean, Like, did you watch the golden bachelor where
- 21:16Speaker 1: it's still played out the same way?
- 21:19Speaker 3: I know, but that's what I was thinking. I haven't
- 21:21Speaker 3: said that to somebody else. I was like, you know,
- 21:22Speaker 3: it's crazy.
- 21:23Speaker 4: I feel like I was watching what I've seen happen
- 21:27Speaker 4: so often with the women that he felt some sort
- 21:30Speaker 4: of loyalty and he liked her first.
- 21:33Speaker 3: And then I was like, well, I already like her.
- 21:34Speaker 5: Like, right.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Am I allowed to like these other people? I feel
- 21:37Speaker 3: bad now because I like her. So I don't know.
- 21:40Speaker 3: But I don't know. I mean, I dated like two
- 21:42Speaker 3: people at the same time in college. I did get caught.
- 21:45Speaker 3: I wasn't good. But I liked both of them.
- 21:49Speaker 2: That's kind of called cheating. If one person thinks you're
- 21:53Speaker 2: dating them.
- 21:53Speaker 3: We were not exclusive. Yeah.
- 21:55Speaker 2: But like on a show, you know, it's a little
- 21:58Speaker 2: bit of a joke. Yeah. I don't know.
- 22:00Speaker 7: That's funny.
- 22:01Speaker 4: I feel like you probably do like both people in
- 22:04Speaker 4: so many different ways. They probably make you feel really
- 22:07Speaker 4: good about yourself in different ways, too.
- 22:10Speaker 3: And then, I don't know, I feel like, I don't
- 22:12Speaker 3: know that the love thing is possible.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Even when, you know, I look back on when I
- 22:18Speaker 4: was on Bachelor in Paradise and got engaged and I
- 22:20Speaker 4: was saying, I love you already.
- 22:22Speaker 3: That actually wasn't love. That was something else. That was
- 22:25Speaker 3: I like you or I lust for you or whatever.
- 22:28Speaker 3: But I don't know that the love component is there
- 22:31Speaker 3: until you really, really know them after the show.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Yeah. So talk about that.
- 22:35Speaker 1: You were on Bachelor in Paradise twice. You did not
- 22:37Speaker 1: have a great first season, correct?
- 22:39Speaker 3: No. No. That did not go well for me.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Just fill people in for a second on what happened there.
- 22:45Speaker 4: So I like dated this guy from like the first,
- 22:48Speaker 4: they call it the Sam. So we came down together
- 22:50Speaker 4: on the first day and we were together through like
- 22:53Speaker 4: the very last date that you're supposed to go out on.
- 22:57Speaker 4: And Chris Harrison is like, okay, like everybody's going on
- 23:00Speaker 4: their dates today.
- 23:01Speaker 3: And then you'll figure out like what you want. And, um,
- 23:05Speaker 3: And like, we were just.
- 23:06Speaker 4: I was just sitting with this guy like at the
- 23:09Speaker 4: pool right before Chris Harrison's like, okay, let's break apart
- 23:12Speaker 4: and we'll come together and you'll go on your dates.
- 23:14Speaker 4: And he was like, I'm so excited to take back
- 23:16Speaker 4: to Minnesota. And like, this is going to be so fun, blah, blah, blah.
- 23:19Speaker 4: So I wasn't thinking anything was wrong. And then he
- 23:22Speaker 4: comes up to like, get me to go on our date.
- 23:26Speaker 4: And he's looking kind of funny. And I was like,
- 23:27Speaker 4: what are you gonna do?
- 23:28Speaker 3: Break up with me? And I was joking. And then
- 23:29Speaker 3: he did.
- 23:32Speaker 2: But why? Why did he? You didn't see it coming, obviously. No,
- 23:36Speaker 2: I mean... Did the viewers see it coming?
- 23:39Speaker 3: No, nobody. I mean, you know, it's so weird, too,
- 23:41Speaker 3: because when that happened, it started making... It made me almost, like,
- 23:46Speaker 3: not trust The Bachelor process because I was like, did anybody... Like,
- 23:50Speaker 3: did the producers know?
- 23:52Speaker 4: And then, like, I'm the only one who didn't know,
- 23:57Speaker 4: and my friends didn't, like... Because it was such a
- 24:00Speaker 4: blind side and everyone was acting like they had no
- 24:05Speaker 4: idea it was coming.
- 24:05Speaker 3: And I just don't know that that was actually true.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Because when I talked to him after the show, he
- 24:12Speaker 4: said that there was a girl he was dating at
- 24:13Speaker 4: home and they had like broken up. And then every
- 24:15Speaker 4: time he'd get like further with me dating, he was
- 24:18Speaker 4: just thinking about her. which I just wish he had
- 24:21Speaker 4: told me that like maybe on the show, but whatever.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Or maybe didn't do the show.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Or didn't do the show at all.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Right there. Yeah.
- 24:29Speaker 3: But I don't know. I, yeah, I definitely didn't see
- 24:34Speaker 3: it coming. And, and I didn't know how.
- 24:36Speaker 4: To react to it because I really thought like, Oh,
- 24:39Speaker 4: like everybody's trying to make me look like a fool.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:44Speaker 1: It is interesting because weddings in bachelor nation are, are
- 24:50Speaker 1: not as common. I feel like as it used to be,
- 24:52Speaker 1: but you guys got married on camera in front of
- 24:56Speaker 1: the TV and you have a couple of friends that
- 24:57Speaker 1: are married with kids still.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Correct.
- 24:59Speaker 5: Yes.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:00Speaker 3: There, I mean, there's a lot of people that still,
- 25:02Speaker 3: it really does work for people, you know?
- 25:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:05Speaker 3: I mean, you can meet anybody. You can meet people
- 25:08Speaker 3: on the bachelor. You can meet them at the grocery store.
- 25:09Speaker 3: You can meet them at school, you know, anywhere. Um, Um, so,
- 25:13Speaker 3: and there's a lot of people in bachelor nation.
- 25:15Speaker 4: It just obviously keeps growing and growing, um, because there's
- 25:18Speaker 4: more shows and bachelor paradise, I feel like is actually
- 25:22Speaker 4: a really easy place to meet people because there's so
- 25:26Speaker 4: many people from different seasons and it's just a revolving
- 25:29Speaker 4: door of people like coming in and out.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Well, it's interesting.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I mean, they've kind of already vetted them for you, right?
- 25:35Speaker 1: You know, people know a little bit of their personality
- 25:37Speaker 1: or history coming into it and they're all really good looking.
- 25:40Speaker 1: So like you've narrowed it down, you know, to kind
- 25:43Speaker 1: of the pool you want to be working with as
- 25:45Speaker 1: opposed to going to a bar or wherever you're going
- 25:48Speaker 1: to find someone or going on Bumble and not knowing
- 25:51Speaker 1: who you're going to get or who they're going to be.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Right.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Um, so, you know, that is interesting.
- 25:57Speaker 1: So what was it like to have your wedding on
- 26:00Speaker 1: TV and that quickly, like, did it get sped up
- 26:03Speaker 1: because they were filming it or were you like, yes,
- 26:06Speaker 1: let's do this.
- 26:06Speaker 2: I love you so much. I can't wait to start
- 26:08Speaker 2: having kids.
- 26:09Speaker 4: You know, it was interesting because he wanted, he wanted
- 26:13Speaker 4: the wedding part on TV more than I did.
- 26:18Speaker 3: It was his second marriage. So I kind of was like,
- 26:21Speaker 3: why the big show in a way? Yeah. Cause I
- 26:26Speaker 3: don't know. I never was one of those girls who
- 26:27Speaker 3: like dreamed of my wedding. I just wasn't. So I.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Thought it was great. I mean, they, you know, they
- 26:35Speaker 4: asked me, you know, what, what dresses do you want
- 26:38Speaker 4: and what, you know, food and what we're doing it
- 26:40Speaker 4: at this venue.
- 26:41Speaker 3: What do you want it to look like?
- 26:42Speaker 2: And is it true that they pay for everything?
- 26:45Speaker 3: They did. Yes.
- 26:47Speaker 4: I did not get to keep my dress, but that's
- 26:49Speaker 4: because it was like the first dress this designer had
- 26:52Speaker 4: made of this particular style.
- 26:54Speaker 3: So he wanted that back for sentimental reasons, which is fine.
- 26:59Speaker 3: We got divorced. Doesn't matter anyway. But it was, you know,
- 27:06Speaker 3: It was fine. I wouldn't have wanted to do that again.
- 27:10Speaker 1: But could you invite family members or did you have
- 27:13Speaker 1: to invite people from Bachelor Nation who you had never met?
- 27:16Speaker 4: So there were definitely people from Bachelor Nation that I
- 27:19Speaker 4: didn't know before.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Well, actually, no, I think I knew everybody that was there.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Uh, I knew them lots of people, you know, were
- 27:27Speaker 4: from seasons that I was on or whatever. I did
- 27:30Speaker 4: get to invite family, but we had like a limited
- 27:32Speaker 4: amount of people that we could invite. So, you know,
- 27:35Speaker 4: like when you invite like one cousin, then you have
- 27:37Speaker 4: to invite like the mom and dad, and then it.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Just keeps expanding. So I kept my circle very, very small.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Um, and, um, was there anyone that came that you
- 27:48Speaker 1: were so excited they were coming from like another season?
- 27:52Speaker 4: Gosh, you know, honestly, the fact that Jade came was
- 27:56Speaker 4: huge because she was super pregnant and Zika like was
- 28:00Speaker 4: down in Mexico at that time.
- 28:03Speaker 3: And so she was like, I'm not missing your wedding.
- 28:04Speaker 3: So truly like when she walked in, I was like,
- 28:07Speaker 3: I cannot believe you're here. And she had to be
- 28:09Speaker 3: like super.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Careful the whole time, but that I was just like, okay,
- 28:13Speaker 4: like you're a really great friend.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Like, I don't know if I would have done that.
- 28:17Speaker 2: That's so nice. Did Chris souls make it to your wedding?
- 28:21Speaker 3: No. Okay.
- 28:27Speaker 2: So you're not still buddy, buddy with him. No, no.
- 28:31Speaker 3: I think the last time I talked to him was,
- 28:35Speaker 3: oh gosh, I'm trying to think.
- 28:38Speaker 5: Being a student is expensive. Rent, books, your morning coffee,
- 28:43Speaker 5: your mid-morning coffee, your I'm about to fall asleep in
- 28:46Speaker 5: the middle of a lecture coffee. So here's something that
- 28:49Speaker 5: won't break the bank. A subscription to the Irish Times
- 28:53Speaker 5: for just five euro a month. Get every article, 165
- 28:56Speaker 5: years of journalism, daily puzzles, and exclusive newsletters, all for
- 29:00Speaker 5: less than the price of your daily coffee habit. The
- 29:03Speaker 5: Irish Times, for just five euro a month, the ultimate
- 29:06Speaker 5: student discount.
- 29:09Speaker 3: It's been so long.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Right, long enough that you don't remember.
- 29:11Speaker 1: All right, so you had Chris Harrison officiate your wedding,
- 29:14Speaker 1: which must have been super fun.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Yeah, it was fun.
- 29:17Speaker 2: And I assume you're still, are you close with him still?
- 29:21Speaker 3: Oh gosh, you know, it's, I really kind of distanced
- 29:23Speaker 3: myself from the bachelor world. I think after the divorce
- 29:28Speaker 3: and stuff, I just kind of like took a step back,
- 29:30Speaker 3: but also God, he, you know, he had to take
- 29:32Speaker 3: a major step back, which I think is. Yeah.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Well, I was going to ask you about that. When
- 29:36Speaker 1: you heard about that, what were your thoughts? I mean, I, I,
- 29:40Speaker 1: feel like you must have had some sort of a
- 29:41Speaker 1: relationship where you trusted him like that.
- 29:43Speaker 3: I just I don't know. It's so hard. Our cancel
- 29:46Speaker 3: culture in this world right now is just you just have.
- 29:52Speaker 4: It's almost like don't talk. And it's so frustrating because
- 29:57Speaker 4: Chris Harrison is such a good guy. And I love
- 29:59Speaker 4: Chris Harrison. And so like that it was just immediate,
- 30:03Speaker 4: like you're done was very frustrating that like no one
- 30:08Speaker 4: can have an opinion about anything anymore.
- 30:12Speaker 3: And like, and I, I mean, I get where the.
- 30:15Speaker 4: Public is coming from on the whole situation, but I
- 30:18Speaker 4: don't know everything in cancel culture right now.
- 30:21Speaker 3: It's just so frustrating. Yeah. It's even hard to.
- 30:23Speaker 4: Just, you know, be a person that picks up, you know,
- 30:27Speaker 4: your phone to talk to Instagram, you know, and all
- 30:30Speaker 4: the people out there. Cause you're like, Oh God, what
- 30:32Speaker 4: if I say something wrong?
- 30:33Speaker 3: Like, it's just, it's hard. It's frustrating. Yeah.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Well, it's interesting that, I mean, you're in a platform
- 30:39Speaker 1: where you can say something and people can either misconstrue
- 30:41Speaker 1: it or it can make news. Like I know recently
- 30:43Speaker 1: you were on a podcast, you were talking about Lady
- 30:45Speaker 1: Gaga and that kind of went viral about your thoughts
- 30:49Speaker 1: about the fact that you didn't love her in college
- 30:52Speaker 1: and people were like, wow.
- 30:54Speaker 2: So what, you know, did that upset you or you
- 30:57Speaker 2: were like, whatever?
- 30:58Speaker 4: You know, it did because I didn't want people to
- 31:03Speaker 4: take in the fact that I was like, I think
- 31:05Speaker 4: she's a terrible human.
- 31:06Speaker 2: No, and I listened to the podcast.
- 31:09Speaker 1: You were saying what anyone else would say about someone
- 31:12Speaker 1: they went to college with.
- 31:13Speaker 2: And you flat out said.
- 31:14Speaker 3: She's a genius. She's amazing right now. She truly is like...
- 31:19Speaker 3: an absolute musical genius phenomenon human. She's also a, the
- 31:26Speaker 3: acting that she does in these movies now is insane.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Like she's so good. And she was so good back then.
- 31:32Speaker 3: It was literally just like a.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Moment in time that not just, I was like, okay,
- 31:39Speaker 4: maybe like, either let's take turns singing or like, let's
- 31:45Speaker 4: just like maybe have the lunchroom, like slightly quiet, like
- 31:48Speaker 4: one day a week, you know?
- 31:49Speaker 2: Right.
- 31:50Speaker 3: And I, yeah.
- 31:51Speaker 4: And it's just, it was, it just went so big
- 31:53Speaker 4: and so viral and so many people were so mad.
- 31:56Speaker 3: And I was like, I'm not saying I don't like
- 31:57Speaker 3: her at all. Like I do like her.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Or you weren't saying you wished she didn't become who
- 32:03Speaker 2: she became. I mean, it really.
- 32:04Speaker 3: She totally deserved to.
- 32:05Speaker 2: She's incredible. Yeah.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Right.
- 32:08Speaker 1: But that is an example of, you know, how sometimes
- 32:10Speaker 1: you have to watch what you say, because it gets,
- 32:12Speaker 1: by the way, the headline ends up getting misconstrued because again,
- 32:15Speaker 1: you didn't say anything that anyone else wouldn't have said.
- 32:19Speaker 1: And it was kind of, it was funny to listen
- 32:20Speaker 1: to and.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Made her more relatable. You know what I mean? So like, yeah,
- 32:26Speaker 2: she was annoying. Who cares? Like she can't be perfect
- 32:29Speaker 2: all the time. Right.
- 32:31Speaker 4: And honestly, the fact that she was like that probably,
- 32:35Speaker 4: you know, That person she was at that moment made her.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Who she is today. And why she's this big... star
- 32:46Speaker 3: because she's like in people's faces being like, Hey, I'm great.
- 32:49Speaker 3: And like, I wish I had more of that. Yeah.
- 32:52Speaker 2: And she believed in herself enough. Yeah. Well, good for her.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:58Speaker 2: So, okay.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Did you feel, my last question on this was, did
- 33:02Speaker 1: you feel pressure to find a bachelor couple, you know,
- 33:06Speaker 1: to be part of that bachelor couple after three times
- 33:09Speaker 1: now of being on the show? Kind of like, would you,
- 33:12Speaker 1: did you really pick like, pick the person that became
- 33:15Speaker 1: your husband and said, I love this guy. Even without
- 33:17Speaker 1: the show, I would have been married to him.
- 33:19Speaker 3: You know, it's funny. I remember when we were on
- 33:21Speaker 3: a date, like when we got back and, um, I
- 33:25Speaker 3: remember looking at him and being like, you know, even
- 33:28Speaker 3: if I had met you in life, like you would
- 33:29Speaker 3: have had me like, like I knew that he was,
- 33:33Speaker 3: you know, he was the right person for me at
- 33:35Speaker 3: that time. We had, you know, we had a lot
- 33:39Speaker 3: of issues and, um, drama kind of even before we
- 33:43Speaker 3: got married with just the circle of life.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Um but by the way everyone does i mean yeah
- 33:52Speaker 1: and so because it is on tv yeah.
- 33:54Speaker 4: Um and so was it yeah was it perfect when
- 33:57Speaker 4: we got married no was it perfect after we got
- 34:01Speaker 4: married no did should we have gotten divorced yes um
- 34:07Speaker 4: But I didn't ever feel pressured to like him because like,
- 34:12Speaker 4: even on the show, like to, I didn't like him
- 34:15Speaker 4: until I did.
- 34:16Speaker 3: And no one was pressuring me to like him. They
- 34:18Speaker 3: were like, do you like him or do you not
- 34:19Speaker 3: like him today? And I was like, I don't know today.
- 34:21Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 34:22Speaker 3: You know, like, I mean, no one was like, oh
- 34:24Speaker 3: my gosh, you should like this guy. They were all shocked.
- 34:27Speaker 3: So was I.
- 34:28Speaker 4: So, but then when, you know, when I, I always
- 34:32Speaker 4: say it was like, it was like someone lifted the
- 34:34Speaker 4: veil and then I saw him in this different light
- 34:36Speaker 4: and that's the person.
- 34:37Speaker 3: I fell in love with. Um, so yeah.
- 34:40Speaker 4: I think I would have, even if we had been
- 34:43Speaker 4: here and I met him out and we still.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Had the same conversations that made me fall in love
- 34:47Speaker 3: with them, I still would have.
- 34:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:50Speaker 1: And I always like looking at it this way that like,
- 34:52Speaker 1: you know, just because the marriage didn't last till you
- 34:54Speaker 1: guys were in your eighties, you guys got two amazing
- 34:57Speaker 1: kids out of it. You guys will always be in
- 34:59Speaker 1: each other's lives. It just, you know, you don't have
- 35:01Speaker 1: to be married to have been in each other's lives.
- 35:04Speaker 1: And you have this history with each other, you know,
- 35:06Speaker 1: where your kids can actually watch your first kiss on TV.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Yeah. But you have.
- 35:11Speaker 1: This whole support system of people that will, you know,
- 35:14Speaker 1: always rally around you and him together and you guys separately.
- 35:18Speaker 1: And nothing about it is a failure. So I learned
- 35:22Speaker 1: that from what I've had to go through. But I
- 35:25Speaker 1: think so many people have a hard time with that
- 35:26Speaker 1: and grieve about it and can't get over a divorce because,
- 35:31Speaker 1: you know, they think that it was a failure.
- 35:32Speaker 2: But I shouldn't see it that way.
- 35:34Speaker 3: My cat's coming over here. My cat is in a
- 35:36Speaker 3: cone right now.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Oh, did he just get neutered?
- 35:41Speaker 3: He has like something wrong with his paw. So he
- 35:44Speaker 3: has like a little cast on the back paw. And
- 35:47Speaker 3: now this thing on Kazee keeps licking it.
- 35:51Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I hope he's okay.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Okay, so are you, do you have any predictions for
- 35:57Speaker 1: this year's, for the new season of The Bachelor coming up?
- 36:00Speaker 6: Gosh, I don't know.
- 36:01Speaker 3: You know, I hadn't watched in so long, and The
- 36:03Speaker 3: Golden Bachelor got me back in.
- 36:04Speaker 2: The Golden Bachelor was pretty good.
- 36:07Speaker 3: It was very good. Watching old people fall in love
- 36:10Speaker 3: was one of my favorite things to do.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and gave me kind of inspiration, because I'm sick.
- 36:16Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 36:19Speaker 1: My daughter who's 11 was like mom you should try
- 36:22Speaker 1: out for the next golden bachelor oh my gosh I'm
- 36:25Speaker 1: like Wyatt I'm 48 I'm not she's like oh.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Like you know.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Yeah I'm hoping they create a mid-level bachelor bachelorette or
- 36:43Speaker 1: I'm dying to be on love is blind Oh my gosh.
- 36:45Speaker 3: That show is so good.
- 36:47Speaker 2: It's so good. Would you ever do a show like that?
- 36:49Speaker 3: Well, I have a boyfriend now, so no. Okay.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Well, let's pretend he didn't exist.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Would you do a show like that? We're like married
- 36:56Speaker 1: at first sight. I love shows like that.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Oh, I wouldn't do married at first sight. Um, only
- 37:02Speaker 3: because I already had, you know, the one wedding or
- 37:06Speaker 3: one marriage go.
- 37:07Speaker 6: Right.
- 37:08Speaker 4: And on TV, you know, the likelihood of that happening
- 37:11Speaker 4: on that show again is high.
- 37:12Speaker 5: Right.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Yeah. Um, but I think like love is blind is fun. Yeah.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Cause you really, truly are just like, what's going to happen?
- 37:21Speaker 3: Like who is that?
- 37:22Speaker 2: You know?
- 37:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:23Speaker 1: I think it's such a great concept. And I think
- 37:24Speaker 1: a lot of it is similar to dating online. Well,
- 37:28Speaker 1: with the exception that you could see the person's picture,
- 37:30Speaker 1: but if you date online correctly, you can get to
- 37:33Speaker 1: know somebody's personality before you meet them. And in person
- 37:38Speaker 1: is when you know that you have physical chemistry, but
- 37:40Speaker 1: like you know, sometimes they can hold a spoon wrong
- 37:44Speaker 1: and I'm like, I can't do it.
- 37:46Speaker 2: I just, I have the ick for this person.
- 37:49Speaker 1: But before you meet someone, you can, you could tell
- 37:53Speaker 1: if you have this chemistry, that's like, you can't, you know,
- 37:56Speaker 1: you can't make it up. It's like they're attentive or
- 37:59Speaker 1: it's something they get you, you get them.
- 38:01Speaker 2: There's a.
- 38:02Speaker 6: Being a student is expensive.
- 38:04Speaker 5: Get every article, 165 years of journalism, daily puzzles.
- 38:08Speaker 6: And exclusive newsletters. All for less than the price of
- 38:10Speaker 6: your daily coffee habit.
- 38:12Speaker 7: The Irish Times.
- 38:12Speaker 6: For just € 5 a month. The ultimate student discount.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Cadence and in the way that you guys same humor.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:36Speaker 1: So I, I do think that, that meeting someone, um,
- 38:41Speaker 1: and becoming like friends with them first is, is the
- 38:44Speaker 1: way to go.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 38:46Speaker 2: I think that that will work.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Okay.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Um, how is co-parenting going with you and your ex?
- 38:52Speaker 3: You know, I have the kids most of the time.
- 38:54Speaker 4: And so like, he'll pick them up.
- 38:56Speaker 3: He has them every other weekend. He picks them up
- 38:58Speaker 3: from school on Friday and takes them to school on
- 39:01Speaker 3: Monday morning. I don't have to really interact too much.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Um, we haven't had any, like, you know, things we
- 39:09Speaker 4: really disagree with, with the children, you know, yet in life,
- 39:14Speaker 4: they're very small.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Um, so, um, you know, really it's fine.
- 39:20Speaker 4: Like, do we, would I say like, I want to
- 39:22Speaker 4: hang out with them and like, we get along really well.
- 39:24Speaker 3: No, I wouldn't say that.
- 39:25Speaker 4: But in regards to the children and co-parenting them, I
- 39:30Speaker 4: think we're... We're doing it. We're doing a great job.
- 39:33Speaker 4: The kids are very happy.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:35Speaker 3: You know, they're thriving. That's all good.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Right.
- 39:39Speaker 1: And now since you've been off these shows, you have
- 39:43Speaker 1: gotten into a new career or, you know, you've gotten
- 39:46Speaker 1: back into a career and made it more serious.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Let's talk about your music for a second.
- 39:50Speaker 1: You just got back from being on tour with Nick Carter, correct?
- 39:54Speaker 3: Yes.
- 39:55Speaker 2: What was that like?
- 39:56Speaker 3: It was incredible.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Did you listen to all his music growing up?
- 40:00Speaker 3: Oh yeah. I was a huge Backstreet Boy fan. Yeah.
- 40:02Speaker 3: And like, did everybody have a crush on Nick Carter? Yes.
- 40:05Speaker 3: Was he like my favorite?
- 40:07Speaker 5: Yes.
- 40:08Speaker 3: Like it was so.
- 40:08Speaker 1: And by the way, when their music comes on the
- 40:10Speaker 1: radio still, I'm like jamming out and turning up the volume.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Like that's my jam. Absolutely.
- 40:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Um, it was, I mean, truly like. some of the
- 40:21Speaker 3: best moments of my whole life. I.
- 40:23Speaker 4: You know, I was putting music out this past year
- 40:27Speaker 4: and I kind of was like.
- 40:28Speaker 3: What am I doing? You know, like I spent all
- 40:30Speaker 3: this money, like I did it all. Like I wrote
- 40:33Speaker 3: with people, you know, like I put these music videos together.
- 40:37Speaker 3: I did all these things and I was like, what's
- 40:38Speaker 3: going to come of this? Am I too old to
- 40:40Speaker 3: be doing this? Like, am I too mom to be
- 40:42Speaker 3: doing this? You know? And I truly.
- 40:46Speaker 4: Was just like putting it out and just kind of
- 40:49Speaker 4: waiting for for the universe to say yes, you know?
- 40:53Speaker 4: And then the Nick Carter tour came about really just because.
- 41:00Speaker 3: My agent used to be like an agent within the
- 41:05Speaker 3: family and Nick was singing in Nashville and he was
- 41:09Speaker 3: looking for influencers to like, just help get the word out.
- 41:13Speaker 3: And my agent was like, Hey, can Carly sing a
- 41:17Speaker 3: few songs at the concert? And he was like, absolutely.
- 41:19Speaker 4: And he was like, wait, all this stuff is so good.
- 41:21Speaker 4: Does she want to go on tour with me next month?
- 41:23Speaker 3: Like it literally happened in like 30 minutes. Wow. Brain explosion.
- 41:29Speaker 4: But it was truly like, it was so great. I,
- 41:31Speaker 4: the girl who played guitar with me is my old
- 41:34Speaker 4: nanny who has become one of my best friends.
- 41:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:38Speaker 4: She's an artist in town. And, um, And she just
- 41:43Speaker 4: started working for a different family. And before even her
- 41:46Speaker 4: first day of work, I was like, hey, I'm going
- 41:48Speaker 4: on tour with Nick Carter.
- 41:49Speaker 3: Do you want to come play for me and then
- 41:52Speaker 3: do background vocals? And she was like, yes. I hope
- 41:55Speaker 3: I don't get fired. But no, she's like she's going
- 42:00Speaker 3: on the next tour with me as well.
- 42:02Speaker 4: But she's no, she's one of my best friends. And
- 42:04Speaker 4: it was like so much fun just to even get
- 42:07Speaker 4: my confidence back, like as a singer and as a
- 42:10Speaker 4: person outside of motherhood, as a woman, as an entertainer,
- 42:14Speaker 4: as a presence.
- 42:16Speaker 3: Besides right you know just.
- 42:19Speaker 1: This getting your groove back yeah yeah for sure so
- 42:23Speaker 1: you needed that for sure um before we get into
- 42:26Speaker 1: what you're gonna be doing this year talk to me
- 42:29Speaker 1: you just brought up being an influencer I forgot like
- 42:31Speaker 1: that's a huge part of your income right like oh
- 42:34Speaker 1: yeah You have been doing so much of that. Talk
- 42:37Speaker 1: to people about how you got into that. What it
- 42:40Speaker 1: is you do. Like, I feel like that is so
- 42:42Speaker 1: interesting for people that want to be doing it. And
- 42:45Speaker 1: it's no longer like when I was younger. To be
- 42:48Speaker 1: famous and get paid by a company to do anything,
- 42:51Speaker 1: you had to have a real, you had to be someone,
- 42:55Speaker 1: you had to, you know, have a background and be
- 42:57Speaker 1: a credible person representing a product. Now influencers are really
- 43:01Speaker 1: where it's at. I mean, if you have followers and
- 43:04Speaker 1: you can, you know, talk about a product that can
- 43:06Speaker 1: be relatable that you become a superstar.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Oh yeah, for sure.
- 43:10Speaker 4: Haven't, I mean, honestly, this has been my main income
- 43:15Speaker 4: for probably seven years now. And I got into it
- 43:19Speaker 4: really right after the bachelor. And I didn't even know
- 43:21Speaker 4: it existed because when, when my brother went on the bachelor,
- 43:26Speaker 4: social media was not a thing. And then when I
- 43:28Speaker 4: went on, it started becoming a thing, but like making
- 43:32Speaker 4: money from it, wasn't a thing yet. I think the
- 43:35Speaker 4: first ad I ever did, maybe it was a fab
- 43:37Speaker 4: fit fun box or like maybe diff eyewear or something.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Right.
- 43:42Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean, The only things I do.
- 43:48Speaker 4: Now are things I actually believe in. I wouldn't say
- 43:50Speaker 4: that I've always been like that in the beginning. It
- 43:53Speaker 4: was kind of just like, whoa, money's coming in. Let
- 43:55Speaker 4: me talk about this or whatever. And there's definitely things
- 43:58Speaker 4: that I.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Said I would do. And then I was like, no,
- 44:00Speaker 3: this is horrible. Like there's no way I'm ever putting
- 44:04Speaker 3: an ad out there for this.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:06Speaker 3: But, uh, you know, people that.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Don't know how that works, they send you a product
- 44:11Speaker 1: and you get to try it.
- 44:13Speaker 3: Right.
- 44:13Speaker 2: And then they pay you to talk about it.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Right.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Right.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Um, and is it usually a one shot thing or
- 44:21Speaker 1: is it like advertisers on my podcast where they book
- 44:24Speaker 1: for weeks at a time?
- 44:25Speaker 3: It depends.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Um, and also, um, Like, it could be like, hey,
- 44:30Speaker 4: do you want to do three stories and a reel
- 44:33Speaker 4: or something?
- 44:33Speaker 3: And I'm like, yeah, cool.
- 44:35Speaker 4: Or, you know, it's like, hey, do you want to
- 44:37Speaker 4: do a story? And then it does really well. And
- 44:39Speaker 4: then the company is like, hey, would you like to
- 44:41Speaker 4: do another one next month?
- 44:42Speaker 2: You know? Got it.
- 44:44Speaker 4: So there's a lot of that going on. But, yeah,
- 44:48Speaker 4: I mean, also, you know, it's so weird. Your life
- 44:50Speaker 4: takes twists and turns.
- 44:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:53Speaker 4: You know, last year I was putting out a lot
- 44:55Speaker 4: of music content. And so influencers, um, I wasn't like an,
- 45:01Speaker 4: really an influencer anymore.
- 45:02Speaker 3: I was kind of this other person. So, um, I
- 45:07Speaker 3: think a lot of companies didn't really know what to
- 45:09Speaker 3: do with that, you know, and that they kind of don't.
- 45:12Speaker 4: So I'm trying to like manage, you know, influencer life
- 45:15Speaker 4: of things that I, like, and I would like to promote,
- 45:18Speaker 4: but also saying, Hey, I'm still, I'm still singing, you know?
- 45:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Um, so you're going on tour with Nico moon this year. You're,
- 45:27Speaker 1: are you doing just four of the shows?
- 45:30Speaker 3: Yes.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Are you so excited?
- 45:32Speaker 1: We had a show a couple of weeks ago. He's
- 45:34Speaker 1: like a ball of sunshine. You can't No.
- 45:37Speaker 3: I just met him the first time yesterday. Yeah.
- 45:40Speaker 2: So much fun.
- 45:41Speaker 1: And by the way, his stories, I'm a huge country
- 45:43Speaker 1: fan and the stories he told me the greatest story
- 45:45Speaker 1: about how he wrote, keep me in mind with his
- 45:48Speaker 1: two friends. And I just was like on the floor.
- 45:51Speaker 1: I think he's like, so such a phenomenal songwriter. The
- 45:54Speaker 1: people he knows is amazing. And then he's a great performer.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Yes.
- 45:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:58Speaker 3: He has this like crazy energy that I think people
- 46:01Speaker 3: you're just drawn to him because he like exudes light. Like, truly. Like,
- 46:07Speaker 3: he walked in the room yesterday.
- 46:09Speaker 4: We had, like, some promotional stuff we were doing at
- 46:12Speaker 4: his recording space. And I'd never met him before. I'd, like,
- 46:16Speaker 4: talked to him on FaceTime. But he walked in the
- 46:18Speaker 4: room and I was like, whoa.
- 46:20Speaker 3: It's like sunshine.
- 46:21Speaker 2: It's wild.
- 46:23Speaker 3: Even in all the snow, he is a ray of sunshine.
- 46:25Speaker 3: But I'm so excited because.
- 46:28Speaker 4: Um, he's his opener opener is red Farron, who is
- 46:31Speaker 4: also huge right now.
- 46:34Speaker 3: And this is the first tour that like, you know.
- 46:37Speaker 4: Puts me in the country space because with Nick Carter, um,
- 46:43Speaker 4: I mean, I sang country music. I did some pop
- 46:45Speaker 4: stuff too, but, um, you know, his he's pop. And
- 46:49Speaker 4: so it was, I think some of his audience wasn't
- 46:52Speaker 4: quite sure what to do with me. Like, they're like, Oh,
- 46:54Speaker 4: we like her. And she's like, you know, I talked
- 46:57Speaker 4: a lot and, like I was funny and they liked
- 47:00Speaker 4: the songs, but this is the, this is the audience
- 47:03Speaker 4: that I need, you know, understand.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Right.
- 47:08Speaker 1: And then select, what do you perform? How do you
- 47:10Speaker 1: pick what you're performing? Cause you're opening, right?
- 47:12Speaker 2: You're not doing some collab with him.
- 47:14Speaker 3: Right. I'm I'm doing, I have a 15 minute set.
- 47:18Speaker 3: So with Nick Carter.
- 47:20Speaker 2: I had a, what did I have?
- 47:21Speaker 3: 40 minute set. Is that right? So 30 or 40 minutes. Um,
- 47:27Speaker 3: it just happened.
- 47:27Speaker 4: I can't even remember, but it's just, I mean, honestly,
- 47:31Speaker 4: they're adding me to the billing. I think one, cause
- 47:33Speaker 4: they believe in me and two, because I can, I'm
- 47:36Speaker 4: a draw as well.
- 47:37Speaker 3: Um, and I'm a girl, you.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Know, but, um, but how does it work?
- 47:43Speaker 1: Like, how do you pick what you're going to do
- 47:44Speaker 1: in that 15 minutes to showcase yourself?
- 47:47Speaker 3: I Really?
- 47:49Speaker 4: Um, I'm doing, so I'm doing two of my like
- 47:52Speaker 4: most upbeat songs. One of them hasn't been released yet.
- 47:55Speaker 4: It's called drinking game, which is like a really fun
- 47:57Speaker 4: song that I'm leaving people with. But, um, so I'm,
- 48:00Speaker 4: I think the most important thing that I learned from
- 48:02Speaker 4: the Nick Carter tour music wise, what people respond to
- 48:06Speaker 4: is that you give them some of your stuff, but
- 48:08Speaker 4: then you give them stuff that they really like and
- 48:11Speaker 4: they know.
- 48:12Speaker 3: And so then once they hear stuff, they know they're like, Ooh,
- 48:15Speaker 3: I like you. And then they listen more to the
- 48:18Speaker 3: stuff that they don't know. So I'm doing, um, my
- 48:22Speaker 3: first single, your friends like me more.
- 48:23Speaker 4: And then I'm doing a mashup of, um, cruel summer
- 48:27Speaker 4: and heart, like a truck, like Taylor Swift and Lainey
- 48:29Speaker 4: Wilson in the middle. Um, just to like get people
- 48:33Speaker 4: like jamming and then my song drinking game at the end.
- 48:37Speaker 4: And then I like to joke and be silly and
- 48:40Speaker 4: in between them and connect to the audience just by talking.
- 48:43Speaker 3: So, um, I think it's good, you know, it's like short,
- 48:47Speaker 3: but it's short and sweet.
- 48:49Speaker 4: And then I bought these, um, little bracelets and I'm
- 48:52Speaker 4: going to throw out that have my name on them.
- 48:54Speaker 4: And I'm going to try to meet people at the
- 48:55Speaker 4: merch table and just honestly connect with the country audience
- 48:58Speaker 4: that I haven't been able to connect to yet.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Oh my God. That's so exciting.
- 49:02Speaker 3: I'm so excited.
- 49:03Speaker 2: I can't wait. Let's go.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Let's go. I'm ready. Yeah.
- 49:06Speaker 2: I can't wait to hear how it goes. So how
- 49:07Speaker 2: does that work though?
- 49:08Speaker 1: When you're on tour like that, will your ex take
- 49:11Speaker 1: your kids for a week at a time or.
- 49:13Speaker 4: So this is only the first shows are that I'm
- 49:18Speaker 4: on are Thursday, Friday and then the next shows that
- 49:21Speaker 4: I'm on are Friday, Saturday. So the weekend, the Tuesday, Thursday,
- 49:27Speaker 4: my mom's just going to watch them, take them to school.
- 49:30Speaker 4: And then I get back Saturday morning. So, and then
- 49:34Speaker 4: the next weekend, he picks them up from school on Friday.
- 49:37Speaker 4: So I'm just going to head out Friday morning. So yeah,
- 49:39Speaker 4: with um the last tour because it was like 12
- 49:45Speaker 4: days or something like that my mom took them for
- 49:49Speaker 4: like half the time and my ex took them for
- 49:51Speaker 4: like half the.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Time got it okay so you're doing a little stint
- 49:54Speaker 1: i imagined you on this like tour bus.
- 49:57Speaker 4: For no i've been like driving oh my gosh so
- 50:02Speaker 4: fun oh my god it's been so fun and even
- 50:06Speaker 4: like um my, uh, the girl who's playing guitar, Sam, um,
- 50:11Speaker 4: you know, we've been writing music on the road and
- 50:13Speaker 4: all sorts of stuff. So it's just, it's just been
- 50:15Speaker 4: fun and just like girl, girl bonding and, you know,
- 50:19Speaker 4: having time away is, you know, yes, I'm a mom
- 50:22Speaker 4: and I love my kids, but it is real nice
- 50:24Speaker 4: having a break.
- 50:25Speaker 2: Right. Exactly. I have a couple, I have a couple
- 50:28Speaker 2: rapid fire questions.
- 50:30Speaker 3: Okay. Yeah.
- 50:32Speaker 2: Um, what was the first concert you ever went to?
- 50:36Speaker 3: Uh, I think Leanne rhymes and Brian white.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Ooh, good one. Um, what is your go-to karaoke song?
- 50:44Speaker 3: Ooh, um, probably something to talk about.
- 50:47Speaker 2: Good one.
- 50:48Speaker 1: What are you watching on Netflix right now? Or a
- 50:50Speaker 1: streaming service doesn't have to be now.
- 50:52Speaker 3: What am I watching right now?
- 50:54Speaker 2: Oh gosh.
- 50:55Speaker 3: It's always like weird magic teenage shows. What did I just, Oh,
- 50:59Speaker 3: I'm watching the trail. Yeah, no, it's so weird. I
- 51:02Speaker 3: get really into dumb magic shows about like werewolves and vampires.
- 51:05Speaker 3: I don't know. Okay.
- 51:08Speaker 2: That's interesting. Okay. What did you say the name was?
- 51:12Speaker 3: The Travelers. I think I just watched The Order. I
- 51:15Speaker 3: think both of those are on.
- 51:16Speaker 2: Netflix right now. I don't know either one of those.
- 51:18Speaker 2: I'll have to look them up.
- 51:19Speaker 3: Well.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Maybe not.
- 51:21Speaker 1: Because my go-to, I just binged last night American Nightmare.
- 51:27Speaker 2: So obviously.
- 51:28Speaker 4: Well, I can't watch that when the kids are around.
- 51:30Speaker 4: So that's, I mean, I have them all the time.
- 51:32Speaker 4: So it's really hard to find time to.
- 51:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Right. Do you know what I'm talking about though?
- 51:38Speaker 3: I saw it on there, but I'm sure it's like,
- 51:40Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 51:42Speaker 1: I watched all three episodes, you know, it was like
- 51:44Speaker 1: midnight and I'm like doing research on you. And I
- 51:47Speaker 1: look up and I'm like, Oh, let me just press
- 51:49Speaker 1: play for a second. I was up in the morning
- 51:50Speaker 1: watching this. And then this morning at 8.00 AM I'm doing,
- 51:55Speaker 1: I'm again, like dropping off my kid at school, coming back,
- 51:58Speaker 1: finishing my stuff with you. And I make, I kind
- 52:02Speaker 1: of Google who this journalist was, who, you know, was
- 52:04Speaker 1: featured throughout the whole thing. stalked him called the assignment
- 52:08Speaker 1: desk in San Francisco.
- 52:09Speaker 2: It's like five in the morning. His time spoke to
- 52:12Speaker 2: him and invited him on my show.
- 52:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 52:15Speaker 3: So that's how excited.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Yeah. It's a great, um, it's a great show. You've
- 52:19Speaker 2: got to watch it. Not with the kids around. Um, uh,
- 52:24Speaker 2: now where am I here?
- 52:24Speaker 5: Okay.
- 52:25Speaker 1: So like, if you're alone in the car, what music
- 52:27Speaker 1: are you listening to these days?
- 52:29Speaker 4: I'm like, all we, I always have like the new
- 52:31Speaker 4: country playlist on just cause I really want to hear
- 52:33Speaker 4: like what's vibing out there.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Okay.
- 52:36Speaker 2: Who's your favorite country singer?
- 52:38Speaker 4: I mean, gosh, you know, what's crazy is like Maren
- 52:40Speaker 4: Morris is now going to pop world, but I like truly.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Love Maren Morris.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Yeah. She's really good. I like Luke Combs. Oh, I
- 52:47Speaker 2: do too.
- 52:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:48Speaker 2: He's such a good songwriter and everything.
- 52:50Speaker 3: There's so many good songwriters here in Nashville too.
- 52:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. There's so many good ones.
- 52:55Speaker 3: Okay.
- 52:55Speaker 1: If you could do an ultimate girls trip like Bravo does,
- 52:58Speaker 1: but with the bachelor nation ladies, who would be, who
- 53:01Speaker 1: would be the five people on your trip?
- 53:03Speaker 3: Oh, gosh. Ashley I. Kennedy, Jade Roper, Whitney B. Schaaf,
- 53:11Speaker 3: probably Caitlin Bristow, and Julia Kenny.
- 53:16Speaker 2: Okay. Do you watch Bravo shows? I mean, no, not enough.
- 53:22Speaker 2: You're not into that stuff.
- 53:23Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Okay, your identity for a long time was connected to
- 53:27Speaker 1: something else, like Carly from The Bachelor or Carly and
- 53:31Speaker 1: Evan from Bachelor in Paradise, Carly and Jade, Carly the
- 53:34Speaker 1: mom fluencer.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Now you're Carly, what else? Singer, songwriter, writer.
- 53:38Speaker 1: Do you feel like right now you're in the place
- 53:40Speaker 1: you should be and want to be?
- 53:42Speaker 2: I mean, I feel....
- 53:46Speaker 3: It's a scary place to be, truly, because it's new
- 53:50Speaker 3: and because I don't know where it's going.
- 53:52Speaker 2: Or like.
- 53:54Speaker 4: like even financially, I'm like, Oh gosh, like, was this
- 53:56Speaker 4: a bad decision? But in my soul, this is the
- 54:00Speaker 4: place that I know I'm supposed to be. So I
- 54:03Speaker 4: know that I'm in the right place because I feel
- 54:06Speaker 4: so at peace and I love, I love singing and
- 54:09Speaker 4: I love songwriting and I love standing in front of
- 54:12Speaker 4: people and connecting. And I think that's, that's my place.
- 54:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 54:20Speaker 3: I just lost it for a while.
- 54:22Speaker 1: Is there something on your bucket list in the future that.
- 54:25Speaker 2: You want to be doing?
- 54:28Speaker 3: Oh, gosh.
- 54:28Speaker 4: I mean, really, I just want, like, I want a
- 54:31Speaker 4: song to get on the radio. That's, you know, bucket
- 54:34Speaker 4: list wise. Like, when one of my songs, which I
- 54:38Speaker 4: don't think I've written yet, but when that song hits
- 54:41Speaker 4: the country airplay, then.
- 54:46Speaker 1: That's gotta be the most amazing feeling have you ever
- 54:48Speaker 1: seen a movie that thing you do yes and remember
- 54:52Speaker 1: that moment where their song gets played yeah time that
- 54:55Speaker 1: is one of the best scenes in in movie history
- 54:58Speaker 1: because they you know they exuberate this you know uh
- 55:02Speaker 1: or exude this you know happiness that you just know
- 55:07Speaker 1: that they are feeling it's like the greatest scene Yeah.
- 55:11Speaker 2: Um, okay.
- 55:12Speaker 1: And anything else we can expect from you this year
- 55:15Speaker 1: that we don't know about?
- 55:17Speaker 3: Um, hopefully I'm going to be putting out more singles
- 55:19Speaker 3: and just hopefully like a tour after this tour and just,
- 55:23Speaker 3: you know, more of stepping into this new, scary, but exhilarating,
- 55:28Speaker 3: exciting space. Okay.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Well, we wish you the best of luck. It was
- 55:32Speaker 1: such a pleasure meeting you. I hope I meet you
- 55:34Speaker 1: in real life soon.
