- 1:03Speaker 4: This is a.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Podcast called twenty five.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Wists talking and they went whizz.
- 1:09Speaker 2: So, yeah, it's too bad, but what did you expect.
- 1:12Speaker 5: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles Swinging Wine.
- 1:17Speaker 6: Oh, welcome to the show, blow the Whistle.
- 1:20Speaker 1: We have some real sports stuff to talk about, like
- 1:22Speaker 1: James Franklinktt fired and all that stuff. But it's a terrible, terrible, terrible,
- 1:26Speaker 1: terrible weekend for me. In many ways, it was the worst.
- 1:28Speaker 1: It's one of the worst sports weekends in a long time.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I lost so much money.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I didn't hit.
- 1:32Speaker 6: I'm telling you, Oh no, this was one.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Of the worst betting weekends for me that I think
- 1:36Speaker 1: I've ever had.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah, nothing hits.
- 1:38Speaker 7: I thought we were talking to Arkansas and no, no, that's.
- 1:40Speaker 6: Part of it.
- 1:41Speaker 2: That's what I thought, too, know, that's part of it.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I think everybody knows that's coming between the Cowboys losing, Oh,
- 1:50Speaker 1: my wife having Oh you lose, and then me and
- 1:54Speaker 1: then I lost.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I say, I lost so much. I went lost thousands
- 1:57Speaker 2: of dollars this week. And when your teams lose, it's sucks.
- 2:00Speaker 2: So when you lose money on top of that, like
- 2:03Speaker 2: you want to like, I would trade and let him keep.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I would trade the money though, for the wins, because
- 2:09Speaker 1: I'm only betting with money.
- 2:10Speaker 2: That's entertainment anyway. I get that. But still it's just
- 2:13Speaker 2: the top. It's the icing on the cake.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I'll make more money. I can't get these games back.
- 2:17Speaker 2: That's true.
- 2:17Speaker 7: That's true. You need that balance. Like I was opposite.
- 2:21Speaker 7: I lost a lot of money, but the Patriots won.
- 2:23Speaker 7: But you probably feel okay, I feel fine. That's what
- 2:25Speaker 7: I'm saying. I would rather my teams win. If I
- 2:28Speaker 7: got to pick one, I'd rather my teams win.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I lost thousands of dollars. It sucked, and I just
- 2:33Speaker 1: kept it was just stupid. You're stupid, Okay. I didn't
- 2:36Speaker 1: go to Knoxville. Eddie text me day before, was goin
- 2:38Speaker 1: to go?
- 2:39Speaker 2: I thought I was gonna go. I really did. I
- 2:40Speaker 2: thought you were gonna go too.
- 2:41Speaker 6: In my head even when I woke up, I was going.
- 2:44Speaker 2: So what happened?
- 2:46Speaker 6: My wife was like, are you sure you want to go?
- 2:48Speaker 2: Do we ever? A blowl? The whistles? Okay?
- 2:50Speaker 6: I shot out of a can and I don't know
- 2:52Speaker 6: if we go to whistle.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Never care that much when you miss my whistle.
- 2:55Speaker 6: I know, man, I never. I woke up and my
- 3:00Speaker 6: wife's like, going to go or no?
- 3:01Speaker 1: Because I was overlooking for single tickets and I found
- 3:03Speaker 1: one because they were going down closer to the game
- 3:05Speaker 1: and there was one like four rows back forty five
- 3:08Speaker 1: fifty yard line, like three hundred bucks. Really cheap for
- 3:12Speaker 1: that ticket. And I was like, I think so single ticket? Yeah,
- 3:16Speaker 1: so I think.
- 3:17Speaker 4: So.
- 3:17Speaker 6: She goes, Okay, are you sure? And I'm like, why
- 3:20Speaker 6: what do you think?
- 3:21Speaker 1: She goes, you have a possibility to lose both big
- 3:23Speaker 1: games today and that's going to be the worst drive
- 3:26Speaker 1: home in the history of your drive homes. Yeah, And
- 3:28Speaker 1: I said that's really not a positive thing to say,
- 3:33Speaker 1: and she goes, it's not positive or negative. Look at
- 3:36Speaker 1: the odds and she never uses odds. She goes, both
- 3:40Speaker 1: of your team are supposed to lose.
- 3:42Speaker 2: And I was like, ah, but if.
- 3:44Speaker 1: We go and we win, I'm going to be so
- 3:46Speaker 1: upset that I wasn't there. And she was like, yours,
- 3:49Speaker 1: mister analytics and mister logic about everything everything.
- 3:53Speaker 2: No, mister, no emotion.
- 3:55Speaker 1: You always want to do things logical, what you think
- 3:57Speaker 1: the best the circumstances present, the opportunity, and she goes,
- 4:02Speaker 1: I think you're stupid. Maybe not stupid. She goes, I
- 4:04Speaker 1: think I don't think it's the smartest decision to go.
- 4:06Speaker 2: I guess I wouldn't use that word.
- 4:07Speaker 6: Yeah, it was a different reason that me.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Yeah, she goes, I don't think it's a smart decision
- 4:11Speaker 1: to go, And a little bit I was.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I was so offended.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I was like, but we're gonna go, like by Petreno's back, Baby,
- 4:18Speaker 1: We're gonna go.
- 4:19Speaker 6: I'm gonna win the game.
- 4:19Speaker 1: It's gonna be one of the great sports nights of
- 4:22Speaker 1: my life by myself in a sea of orange, like
- 4:24Speaker 1: the red the red ink just spreads in the milk
- 4:27Speaker 1: and it's just like, oh, you guys suck.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I'm the great.
- 4:29Speaker 6: It's just I just was picturing it.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I can tell it is awesome imagery.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Yes, And then on the way home, I was gonna
- 4:36Speaker 1: watch the Cubs game on my phone and we were
- 4:39Speaker 1: going to dominate that three and a half hours home.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I'm so glad you're talking me out of it. Yeah,
- 4:45Speaker 1: we lost them both and I lost a lot of money.
- 4:47Speaker 7: And the Arkansas like you got hope? Then no, hope,
- 4:50Speaker 7: then hope, and no hope.
- 4:51Speaker 1: At the end of the game. It sucks because we
- 4:55Speaker 1: definitely could have won that game. We fumbled three times again. Yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 1: I don't feel like that's Bobby Patrano loss. I feel
- 5:01Speaker 1: like that's Bobby Petrino actually making up a little ground
- 5:04Speaker 1: from where we were.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Uh So, it sucks.
- 5:08Speaker 1: It had been awesome to be one on one in
- 5:09Speaker 1: the SEC because we didn't have been back in the
- 5:10Speaker 1: mix with the Conference. I was already thinking that. I
- 5:12Speaker 1: was already thinking of that in the top. Yeah, like
- 5:14Speaker 1: we're back in the mix.
- 5:15Speaker 6: Maybe we're gonna be winning the SEC.
- 5:16Speaker 1: It was a and M so that the Arkansas game sucked.
- 5:25Speaker 1: And then it was the first game the Cubs didn't
- 5:28Speaker 1: score a whole bunch of runs in the first inning,
- 5:30Speaker 1: and it was just they hit a home run. We answered,
- 5:34Speaker 1: they hit a home run, We didn't answer. They and
- 5:37Speaker 1: it was like that. It was over that game. To me,
- 5:41Speaker 1: I don't think I was as hurt by because we
- 5:44Speaker 1: just didn't have to. We don't have the pitching to
- 5:45Speaker 1: win Yeah, multiple series. Yeah, we just don't.
- 5:49Speaker 7: And you can see that as they're playing, You're like,
- 5:50Speaker 7: you know what, I can like wave the white flag big.
- 5:53Speaker 7: You know what, You're a better team whatever it is,
- 5:55Speaker 7: that's fine.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Milwaukee was awesome this year the second half of the year.
- 5:58Speaker 1: They were about five hundred the first half, but they
- 5:59Speaker 1: were They again were shot out of a cannon like
- 6:01Speaker 1: I was the start of this show. The second half, Yes,
- 6:04Speaker 1: and they just had way more pitching. The Arkansal game
- 6:06Speaker 1: hurt worst. I was ready to win the SEC. I
- 6:08Speaker 1: was back, Baby, we're back. I'm glad I didn't go.
- 6:13Speaker 7: Was there any part of you when Kaitlyn was telling
- 6:15Speaker 7: you like you should not go. I know the way
- 6:17Speaker 7: your brain works, like you know I'm gonna go to
- 6:18Speaker 7: prove her wrong. Yep, yep, And then that drive back
- 6:21Speaker 7: I'm gonna be good.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I told you, I told you, yeah for sure,
- 6:25Speaker 1: And she said, I know what you're gonna do.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I'll go ahead and predict it.
- 6:28Speaker 1: If you go, you're gonna send me a text about
- 6:31Speaker 1: I don't know, half point of the game going like
- 6:32Speaker 1: this sucks.
- 6:33Speaker 6: I'm miserable here. I should have never come.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And I said, well, and then she and she pulled up.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Like three other times I'd done that, I'd gone to
- 6:40Speaker 1: things and been like I don't know why I became
- 6:41Speaker 1: to this is stupid.
- 6:43Speaker 2: So that's a bad day. Saturday was a bad day
- 6:46Speaker 2: for me.
- 6:47Speaker 7: Sorry.
- 6:48Speaker 1: And she didn't get any nicer because, oh, you lost
- 6:51Speaker 1: to Texas.
- 6:51Speaker 2: That was a bad way.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So she watched the game. She likes just to be
- 6:56Speaker 1: outside for some reason, and so she we have people
- 6:59Speaker 1: like that, I know, don't. I don't get it, have
- 7:02Speaker 1: no need like on a patio, yeah, like a couch
- 7:05Speaker 1: right here with the TV outside. She watched the game outside,
- 7:08Speaker 1: and I have allergies, and I don't want to be
- 7:11Speaker 1: outside unless there's like something that can only specifically be
- 7:15Speaker 1: done outside, like if we're playing like flag footballide, yeah
- 7:19Speaker 1: we're playing golf. I really, but if all things are equal,
- 7:23Speaker 1: I ain't gonna be outside.
- 7:25Speaker 2: What's out there?
- 7:26Speaker 7: Nothing allergies?
- 7:28Speaker 2: You just said yes, And so she wanted to watch
- 7:31Speaker 2: it outside.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So she put it on the screen outside and she
- 7:34Speaker 1: like was like doing some pregnancy exercises and doing some
- 7:37Speaker 1: curls and stuff.
- 7:38Speaker 2: What I was nice. Yeah, So she's.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Watching the game and then she just that they never
- 7:42Speaker 1: Ohkaman never did anything like there was never even like
- 7:46Speaker 1: a hope of Wow, now we're just turning it around
- 7:48Speaker 1: and I'll be honest. It wasn't like I flipped over
- 7:50Speaker 1: and watched whole lot of it because my game was
- 7:52Speaker 1: on at the same time.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but she was dejected.
- 7:55Speaker 6: I think she would have rather me be gone because
- 7:58Speaker 6: she was so dejected.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And I'm like, we suck. I hate it, and she's like, wow,
- 8:02Speaker 1: you know we lost. We're five and zero and we
- 8:05Speaker 1: have a real reason to be upset about losing.
- 8:07Speaker 7: So a quick question. You guys are watching two games
- 8:11Speaker 7: the same house, but in separate rooms, obviously. Well no,
- 8:14Speaker 7: she's in the outside outside and oh yeah, and you're
- 8:16Speaker 7: inside somewhere. Do you guys see each other at all
- 8:18Speaker 7: during those three hours?
- 8:19Speaker 5: Well?
- 8:19Speaker 1: Yeah, and I have video because I was recording or
- 8:21Speaker 1: working out a little bit because I was inside, okay,
- 8:25Speaker 1: And then she started working out outside while watching the screen,
- 8:28Speaker 1: and I'm like, man, I'm just over here getting fat
- 8:29Speaker 1: watching the game. So I moved to the gym where
- 8:32Speaker 1: we have a TV in the gym, so I started
- 8:34Speaker 1: working out so she could see me work out while
- 8:36Speaker 1: I was watching the game. I think we moved with
- 8:39Speaker 1: like five screens. We just moved all the way around
- 8:42Speaker 1: for like three hours.
- 8:43Speaker 7: That's awesome.
- 8:44Speaker 2: So it's a bad Saturday. I had no idea if
- 8:47Speaker 2: you were going to go or not, so I didn't
- 8:49Speaker 2: check purposely. I was like, I don't want to check Instagram,
- 8:52Speaker 2: you know, or anything to see that he's there. Just
- 8:54Speaker 2: hear the story, yes, just so I can show up
- 8:56Speaker 2: and see it. But then I finally cheated this morning,
- 8:58Speaker 2: I'm like, no, he didn't go.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I posted a message too before and I
- 9:03Speaker 1: was like, I can't go. My wife said we're gonna
- 9:04Speaker 1: lose both games, and I don't want to be miserable
- 9:06Speaker 1: because if we lose both games, I'll be mad. I went,
- 9:09Speaker 1: if well, we'd have won one of them, i'd have
- 9:11Speaker 1: been happy. It wouldn't have been happier either one. I'd
- 9:13Speaker 1: have been happier. Yeah, I wouldn't have been if Arkansas
- 9:15Speaker 1: would have lost like they did in the Cubs of one.
- 9:17Speaker 1: That lifted me up on the way home, for sure,
- 9:19Speaker 1: or the opposite would have been great. We'd won and
- 9:21Speaker 1: even the Cubs lost in the way home, but it
- 9:23Speaker 1: was double. I knew it was gonna be double.
- 9:25Speaker 2: All I do is lose. I suck.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I hate sports in life, and I had a sucky
- 9:29Speaker 1: weekend and it's just terrible. It's just terrible. So that's
- 9:33Speaker 1: all I'm done. Cowboys lost too.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Colway, that was just terrible. Too good, ruined my day.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I don't even care about the freaking Panthers. All about
- 9:41Speaker 1: five hundred bucks the Cowboys plus one because I thought
- 9:44Speaker 1: they were gonna come back a wain the game, and I.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Lost that too.
- 9:45Speaker 1: I'm telling you every bet I made, I was mad
- 9:48Speaker 1: at you, but I didn't do anything. I know, but
- 9:50Speaker 1: you're associate with the Cowboys. I was mad too, dude,
- 9:53Speaker 1: Like I was rooting for the I'm you know, I'm
- 9:57Speaker 1: a new Panther fan whatever, but like I root, I
- 10:00Speaker 1: was written for the Cowboys because it's more important for
- 10:03Speaker 1: you and Mike to win, thank you, than it is
- 10:05Speaker 1: for me and my new team to win. It's not
- 10:07Speaker 1: even really my team, right, I'm just gonna I'm flirting.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Thank you for being transparent with that.
- 10:11Speaker 6: I'm flirting. But there are uniforms. Looked awesome, they did.
- 10:13Speaker 2: They like that black blue on blue with the black helmet,
- 10:15Speaker 2: that black Matt helmet. Brought me in. They brought me
- 10:17Speaker 2: in a little more this week, for sure.
- 10:19Speaker 7: That's nice boy at McMillan. He had a good game.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I two touchdowns. Yeah, grecoed out. Yeah, he just
- 10:25Speaker 2: I mean, he took it out on the Cowboys. He's like,
- 10:27Speaker 2: you're gonna get rid of me. I'm gonna show you
- 10:28Speaker 2: why you don't get rid of me.
- 10:29Speaker 6: Two games in a row over two hundred yards he talks, smack.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Yeah he did. Did you see him just hit that?
- 10:34Speaker 2: Like when we did that pick six we had, It
- 10:37Speaker 2: wasn't a pick six, it was a pick ran down
- 10:39Speaker 2: the sideline. He just hit the blocker. He didn't even
- 10:41Speaker 2: tackle the guy with the ball. He just nailed the
- 10:43Speaker 2: blockers like I'm just hitting someone. I don't care who
- 10:45Speaker 2: I hit. Yeah, he he And they they played well,
- 10:50Speaker 2: they did. They did. Now we could have won that game,
- 10:53Speaker 2: you know, but they did great clock management that last
- 10:56Speaker 2: drive where they just melked it all the way down
- 10:58Speaker 2: to the end.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Cowboys try to let him score. Oh I and they
- 11:03Speaker 1: couldn't even do that, right.
- 11:06Speaker 7: No, I thot you guys are gonna win.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I did too, That's why I bet it. I was
- 11:09Speaker 1: like Cowboys plus one, I'm gonna put five hundred. I'm
- 11:11Speaker 1: in the whole lot and get a little bit of
- 11:13Speaker 1: that back.
- 11:13Speaker 7: Nope, No, George Pickens had a day.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean he's.
- 11:17Speaker 7: Gonna make a lot of money nextit he was he
- 11:19Speaker 7: the one with the big leaped yes, oh.
- 11:20Speaker 6: My gosh, like a sideways hurdle.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, which is which is great too. When CD comes
- 11:25Speaker 2: back and you got that on both ends, like, it's
- 11:27Speaker 2: gonna be really exciting.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Yeah, unless they don't mix well, because when he came
- 11:33Speaker 1: he was for sure the number two, for sure, and
- 11:34Speaker 1: he will be the number two. But he's gonna be
- 11:36Speaker 1: more like one he one B because he's been playing awesome. Yeah,
- 11:43Speaker 1: he's still a bit reckless. Even that play jump he
- 11:46Speaker 1: was like.
- 11:46Speaker 2: He's got one ball in the hand holding it out,
- 11:48Speaker 2: like definitely for sure, stiff arming is not even stiff
- 11:51Speaker 2: arm punching people in the helmet.
- 11:52Speaker 1: He's for sure going to make a lot of money.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Cause I think this is it. That was contract.
- 11:56Speaker 2: This is the one. It was the one. I think
- 11:57Speaker 2: this is the last.
- 11:58Speaker 7: Year of that deal, rookie contract.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Yes, so you may fact check me on that, but
- 12:04Speaker 1: I made a bunch of notes.
- 12:06Speaker 2: That's what the Cowboys needed. Pay just pay more money
- 12:08Speaker 2: to players. He won't stay with the Cowboys. I know
- 12:11Speaker 2: they can't afford them.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I know he's making his money the best thing to
- 12:14Speaker 1: ever happened to him was Ceede Lamby get hurt because
- 12:17Speaker 1: he's the number one.
- 12:18Speaker 2: He hasn't the body of a number one, but god dag,
- 12:21Speaker 2: he's electric. It's pretty awesome.
- 12:23Speaker 7: Yeah, eligible free agent after this year.
- 12:26Speaker 1: So I wrote down, the panther's uniform look really good.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Here's what I said. I also wrote down, I'd look
- 12:31Speaker 1: awesome with the doubtle piercing question. How does that piercing work?
- 12:36Speaker 1: I don't know, but it looks awesome.
- 12:37Speaker 2: It's like in his cheek, like where's the backside of that?
- 12:40Speaker 2: In his face due the inside of it, because all
- 12:43Speaker 2: the way to the back of his neck, you know
- 12:44Speaker 2: what I mean, Like an ear ring, Like you got
- 12:47Speaker 2: one side of the ear and then you bucklet in
- 12:49Speaker 2: the back of the ear. But I don't know what
- 12:50Speaker 2: the backside of that is.
- 12:52Speaker 1: So if you haven't seen Rico Daddle has a piercing
- 12:54Speaker 1: it's like in his cheek and it's like a little
- 12:57Speaker 1: ball stud like under his eye. It's awesome and I
- 13:00Speaker 1: would look good with that, That's what I wrote.
- 13:02Speaker 7: It's like a butterfly anchor, you know, when you put
- 13:03Speaker 7: it into the wall and like once it's in there,
- 13:05Speaker 7: it spreads out and stuff. Oh so behind it open
- 13:08Speaker 7: up and I don't know how you get it out.
- 13:09Speaker 2: In his face.
- 13:10Speaker 6: You gotta put that with a level.
- 13:11Speaker 2: He got one of the leble. I got to pierce
- 13:14Speaker 2: it with the level. There you get your tool belt.
- 13:19Speaker 2: So so you said you'd look good. Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 7: If I had one of those, I'd like, which side
- 13:25Speaker 7: would you go?
- 13:25Speaker 1: My right side? It's my bad eye, So put it
- 13:28Speaker 1: in my bad your what's the reason behind that? Because
- 13:33Speaker 1: I don't want to. I don't want anything toxic in
- 13:34Speaker 1: my good eye.
- 13:35Speaker 6: Only got one good eye. Why would I put in
- 13:37Speaker 6: anything metal?
- 13:39Speaker 2: Uh.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Another funny thing that I wrote down was it's not
- 13:41Speaker 1: funny that Baltimore keeps losing, but man, what they're one
- 13:45Speaker 1: of five now?
- 13:46Speaker 7: Yeah, it's yeah awful.
- 13:50Speaker 6: And Cooper Rush not the Cooper Rush of the Dallas Cowboys.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Nope, No, it's a different dude to that guy.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Say Flowers fumbled too and he never found It's it's
- 14:00Speaker 1: a bad deal right now, Baltimore. But the thing that
- 14:02Speaker 1: I wrote was they went to or to John John Harball.
- 14:07Speaker 6: They cut to him. He's just dejected. He's so sad.
- 14:10Speaker 1: It's like late third quarter, the game is over, his
- 14:13Speaker 1: face is hanging like but he has on that confetti
- 14:16Speaker 1: Baltimore hat because all the coaches were.
- 14:17Speaker 2: In the crucial catch.
- 14:21Speaker 1: It's it's like confetti. It's like Jojo Siwa. It's like
- 14:26Speaker 1: what she would wear. And it cuts to him being
- 14:28Speaker 1: so sad and Jojo Siwa hat the Baltimore and I
- 14:31Speaker 1: was like, that's hilarious.
- 14:32Speaker 2: It's almost like the Lieutenant Dan Meme. You know, he's
- 14:37Speaker 2: the New Year's Party so angry.
- 14:42Speaker 1: It was just the worst hat for that exact shot
- 14:45Speaker 1: because he's he was over life and it's like, let's
- 14:48Speaker 1: let's take a live look at him, and he's got
- 14:51Speaker 1: Jojo Siwa on with the ponytail with all the curls
- 14:55Speaker 1: and the colors.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Sucks.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, hey, you're what's I say this complimentary?
- 15:04Speaker 1: You look really tired.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I'm exhausted, dude, I'm exhausted, I think so. So we
- 15:09Speaker 2: decided to do like a family trip to Hershey, Pennsylvania.
- 15:12Speaker 2: And when we do these family trips, it's four days
- 15:15Speaker 2: I think minimum is kind of what you need for
- 15:18Speaker 2: a family to have fun at a theme park or whatever.
- 15:21Speaker 2: We did it on in two.
- 15:22Speaker 6: Days, So you left Friday morning.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Yep, So you get there because part of it too
- 15:28Speaker 1: was you were doing a thing for the show. We
- 15:30Speaker 1: have a a like a partner. That is that school
- 15:33Speaker 1: that takes in a bunch of kids.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Yeah, the Milton Hershey School, right, which is awesome, and
- 15:36Speaker 2: so I'd never seen it before, so we were going
- 15:38Speaker 2: to do a tour of it that day. That tour
- 15:40Speaker 2: was a five hours, so we did a five hours
- 15:43Speaker 2: no just me. So they went to the pool, hung
- 15:46Speaker 2: out at the hotel, and then I went to do
- 15:48Speaker 2: the tour for five hours. But mind you, we woke
- 15:50Speaker 2: up at three that morning, not just meeting like where
- 15:53Speaker 2: we can do that, the kids, the whole family. Getting
- 15:56Speaker 2: them to the airport at four in the morning is brutal,
- 15:59Speaker 2: and so that whole day just kind of like started crazy.
- 16:02Speaker 2: We got there, did the tour, and then we hung
- 16:05Speaker 2: out and had dinner and went to the pool afterwards.
- 16:07Speaker 2: The next day we spent all day at Hershey Park,
- 16:09Speaker 2: which is amazing. It's a it's a theme park, yeah,
- 16:13Speaker 2: and it's all Hershey themed. It's every like Jolly Rancher,
- 16:16Speaker 2: this Twizzler that you know, chocolate bar, this Reese's Peter
- 16:20Speaker 2: butter cup, this, it's awesome, it's amazing. But by like
- 16:23Speaker 2: seven o'clock, which was really just six o'clock our time,
- 16:26Speaker 2: we're exhausted. Day two of the trip though, day two,
- 16:29Speaker 2: and then we got to fly out at eight am
- 16:30Speaker 2: the next day. So it was it was it was
- 16:33Speaker 2: a lot. We had a lot of fun and that
- 16:35Speaker 2: place is awesome, but I'm exhausted.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Were you delayed with the all the FAA people being out?
- 16:42Speaker 2: Not really. We were delayed on the way back. Yeah,
- 16:45Speaker 2: we got delayed in Philly, which was only about an
- 16:48Speaker 2: hour and a half. I don't know if that was
- 16:50Speaker 2: weather or if that was government shut down whatever, but yeah,
- 16:54Speaker 2: we got to just do lucky then we did. It
- 16:56Speaker 2: looks like I think what helps for us is that
- 16:58Speaker 2: early flight.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, the early flight means you're not going to
- 17:02Speaker 1: be that late because they're not that many flights going
- 17:04Speaker 1: in and out before it. You always want to get
- 17:06Speaker 1: an early one because they're aly ever delayed unless the
- 17:08Speaker 1: plane's broken. Yeah, never, because it's got to be held
- 17:11Speaker 1: up because the plane's coming in.
- 17:12Speaker 2: For somewhere else. Andle we flew into Harrisburg, which is tiny,
- 17:16Speaker 2: tiny airport, right and we were even like we waited
- 17:19Speaker 2: like twenty minutes to take off from Harrisburg. They're just
- 17:22Speaker 2: like waiting on traffic, like there's no one here. There's
- 17:25Speaker 2: two planes, but there's probably one dude in the control
- 17:27Speaker 2: set of control tower. Yeah yeah, your eyes like, yeah, dude,
- 17:31Speaker 2: I'm tired. But hey man, we're good though, we're good.
- 17:34Speaker 2: I got to watch the Cowboys game in the plane,
- 17:36Speaker 2: which I didn't know American Airlines had live TV like
- 17:40Speaker 2: Southwest does.
- 17:41Speaker 1: It's always easier to watch a game, or it's always
- 17:44Speaker 1: easier to fly when you can watch something that keeps you.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Yes, focus, not so miserable. Yes. And then with the
- 17:49Speaker 2: kids too, like they all want to watch the game,
- 17:51Speaker 2: so they were all quiet, good, they'll watch the game.
- 17:54Speaker 2: They'll watch the game. Yeah. Yeah. We have like three
- 17:56Speaker 2: tablets going at the same time, so they all have
- 17:58Speaker 2: like Bluetooth going into it.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Yeah. Uh, we missed the partly. I missed everything, So
- 18:02Speaker 1: I don't know what you guys want me to do.
- 18:03Speaker 1: But yeah, no, no, we didn't hit that Georgia money line. Yeah,
- 18:07Speaker 1: but I missed two out of three the Alabama minus
- 18:10Speaker 1: three and a half versus Missouri. That was a loss,
- 18:12Speaker 1: although they did win. That was a loss. Georgia beat Auburn.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Whatever they should have I should have lost that too,
- 18:17Speaker 1: h Illinois run by High State.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Whatever I suck. It's terrible.

- 18:54Speaker 1: more or less than seventy three yards?
- 18:56Speaker 2: If it were me picking, I.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Would guess more because I think for the throw a
- 19:00Speaker 1: bunch to stay with Buffalo, especially at the end of
- 19:03Speaker 1: the game, could be some garbage time SATs there b
- 19:05Speaker 1: John Robinson more or less than seventy five yards rushing.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna go less because I think they're going to
- 19:09Speaker 1: throw to him a bit. Josh Allen to twenty nine passing.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I always go more on Josh Allen.
- 19:13Speaker 2: You could do this.

- 20:07Speaker 1: All right, now, we're going to go over to Brandon Marcelo.
- 20:09Speaker 1: When we talked to Brandon Marcello was right after James
- 20:12Speaker 1: Franklin had been fired on Sunday evening, and then he
- 20:15Speaker 1: also brought up to Trent Dilfer was fired, and you'll
- 20:18Speaker 1: hear that.
- 20:18Speaker 2: You may have seen that by now.
- 20:20Speaker 1: We'll talk about more of that in just a second,
- 20:22Speaker 1: but let's go over to Brandon Marcello, which you can
- 20:24Speaker 1: follow him on Instagram. Great for college football at Brandon
- 20:27Speaker 1: Marcelo and his article up at CBS Sports is about
- 20:30Speaker 1: his time at Alabama Missouri and how good Alabama is,
- 20:34Speaker 1: et cetera.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Here he is, Brandon Marcelo.
- 20:37Speaker 1: We have Brandon Marcelo on with us, which I wouldn't
- 20:39Speaker 1: have called to be like, hey, you want to do
- 20:41Speaker 1: our hit had I known James Franklin was going to
- 20:44Speaker 1: get fired in between the time that we called and
- 20:46Speaker 1: the time we got on with it, because I'm sure
- 20:47Speaker 1: you're the most in demand man around right now. So
- 20:49Speaker 1: James Franklin gets fired at Penn State. I saw you
- 20:51Speaker 1: in your car talking about it. My question is does
- 20:54Speaker 1: he have offset language and his contract or will he
- 20:56Speaker 1: get all that money.
- 20:58Speaker 4: I think that there's something that could be negotia there.
- 21:00Speaker 4: I haven't looked at the contract completely. I'm sure there
- 21:04Speaker 4: is a possibility of that part of that being offset.
- 21:07Speaker 4: We haven't gotten the full details also yet. I sometimes
- 21:11Speaker 4: in some of these instances, that could even be a
- 21:13Speaker 4: negotiated buyout that gets leveled down a little bit. You know,
- 21:18Speaker 4: we saw that recently with Arkansas with Sam Pittman. But
- 21:21Speaker 4: either way, this is going to end up being the
- 21:24Speaker 4: second largest buyout we've ever seen in the FBS, right
- 21:28Speaker 4: behind Jimbo Fisher a few years ago when he got
- 21:31Speaker 4: that seventy five million dollar buyout from Texas A and M.
- 21:34Speaker 4: But you know, Penn State's got the money and they're
- 21:36Speaker 4: willing to spend it, and they're just ready to move on.
- 21:39Speaker 1: How much do you put into Adidas? Because I was
- 21:42Speaker 1: I was just seeing tweets about it, so I know
- 21:44Speaker 1: nothing else Adidas going hey, we need to.
- 21:46Speaker 6: Help and will help pay some of this off.
- 21:47Speaker 2: That's true, It could be possible.
- 21:49Speaker 4: I know Adidas is giving them a lot of money
- 21:52Speaker 4: to be one of their big brands. You know, Adidas
- 21:55Speaker 4: has not been heavily involved in college football and college athletics.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Saw that much here in recent years, and they're trying
- 22:01Speaker 4: to take kind of a bigger piece of the pie
- 22:03Speaker 4: here as they move forward, so that's not too surprising.
- 22:07Speaker 4: The big thing to really keep an eye on to
- 22:09Speaker 4: here is that the Big ten has been exploring private
- 22:14Speaker 4: equity infusion of cash, and if that comes to be,
- 22:19Speaker 4: which there might be a vote here in the next
- 22:21Speaker 4: week or two, you could see programs like Penn State,
- 22:24Speaker 4: the upper echelon Big ten teams programs will just say
- 22:28Speaker 4: getting as much, if not more than, one hundred and
- 22:31Speaker 4: fifty million dollars upfront from this new cash infusion from
- 22:35Speaker 4: private equity, so that helps offset things. And then also,
- 22:39Speaker 4: I mean Penn State spend very willing to spend money anyway.
- 22:44Speaker 4: They spend a lot of money just redoing their stadium,
- 22:47Speaker 4: updating it. They've got boosters there who have been fed
- 22:52Speaker 4: up quite frankly with James Franklin.
- 22:54Speaker 5: For several years.
- 22:56Speaker 4: And at some point you got to appease your boosters
- 22:59Speaker 4: who might sit there and go, we're not gonna I'm
- 23:02Speaker 4: not gonna give you as much money anymore, or I'm
- 23:04Speaker 4: not going to give you any money until you get
- 23:06Speaker 4: rid of this guy.
- 23:07Speaker 6: When they lost Northwestern. Did you think it was done?
- 23:09Speaker 5: I didn't.
- 23:10Speaker 4: I thought this would be something that would go all
- 23:12Speaker 4: the way through the season and then they might have
- 23:14Speaker 4: a discussion at that point. I also thought it was
- 23:17Speaker 4: possible that James Franklin might sit back and wonder, have
- 23:20Speaker 4: I hit everything I can hit here? And do I
- 23:23Speaker 4: need to go like kind of reset my career somewhere
- 23:25Speaker 4: else and be able to coach another five six years plus.
- 23:29Speaker 4: I thought that was a real possibility for him, and
- 23:31Speaker 4: it still is. I'm just shocked that Penn State just
- 23:34Speaker 4: said we're not gonna wait for that. We're just gonna
- 23:36Speaker 4: give you your money now and wait wait to see it.
- 23:39Speaker 4: You can go figure something out else out yourself right now.
- 23:42Speaker 5: But yeah, it did.
- 23:43Speaker 4: This. This completely shocked me. I did not expect this.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Do you think they would have moved so quick if
- 23:48Speaker 1: Alor wouldn't have been injured and out for the year. Uh?
- 23:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so. I think they would have still
- 23:53Speaker 4: made the same decision.
- 23:54Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Man, just two weeks ago, three games ago, they're freaking
- 23:59Speaker 1: playing a top.
- 24:00Speaker 2: I mean, life comes at you fast.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Yeah, it's crazy out there, and you know we've been
- 24:07Speaker 4: saying for a long time, everybody really has is that
- 24:10Speaker 4: this was gonna be a crazy coaching carousel cycle just
- 24:13Speaker 4: because there were so few big jobs that came open
- 24:15Speaker 4: last year.
- 24:16Speaker 5: Zero in the SEC.
- 24:17Speaker 4: Obviously, the Big ten has been pretty level here in
- 24:21Speaker 4: the last two to three years, and it's it's gonna
- 24:25Speaker 4: be really nuts come November December. There's gonna be a
- 24:28Speaker 4: lot of programs out there that are their fan bases
- 24:31Speaker 4: are not going to be happy with the hires they
- 24:33Speaker 4: make because there's just gonna be so many top tier
- 24:36Speaker 4: jobs open.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Matt Rule obviously from State College, Penn State Guy, and Nebraska.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Now I feel like, just again I'm just gauging the
- 24:45Speaker 1: temperature online, which is a terrible place to gauge any temperature.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Like even I know that, but I feel like the
- 24:50Speaker 1: Penn State fans don't want Matt Rule. Even though he's
- 24:54Speaker 1: hometown guy. He's been through a couple places. Obviously, he's's
- 24:56Speaker 1: some failures. It's not like he's turning Nebraska into a
- 24:59Speaker 1: monster program. Do you think he's the guy or do
- 25:01Speaker 1: you think he's the fallback guy.
- 25:03Speaker 4: I think he's going to be the number one guy
- 25:04Speaker 4: for a lot of a lot of programs. Sorry, actually,
- 25:08Speaker 4: just getting news about another coach being fired.
- 25:11Speaker 6: Is it broken?
- 25:13Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 25:13Speaker 4: Uh well I didn't break it, but UAB just fired
- 25:17Speaker 4: Trent Dilfer, their head coach.
- 25:18Speaker 1: He start us up one. We're not We're not that
- 25:20Speaker 1: sad about that one. Yeah, we're not that sad about
- 25:22Speaker 1: that one.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Yea.
- 25:22Speaker 4: That not surprising. They've been an absolute just disaster. But
- 25:27Speaker 4: I will say this, you know, it's interesting about that
- 25:29Speaker 4: he's got the same conference record five and fourteen in
- 25:32Speaker 4: the American as Hugh Freeze at Auburn. He's five and
- 25:36Speaker 4: fourteen now. And that's another job to keep an eye
- 25:38Speaker 4: on later this year.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Matt Rule.
- 25:43Speaker 5: Matt Rule, Yes, uh yeah.
- 25:44Speaker 4: He's gonna be number one on a bunch of lists
- 25:46Speaker 4: of boosters and power players there. I think that would
- 25:50Speaker 4: be a job he would have to seriously consider. As
- 25:51Speaker 4: you said, his hometown. He's got a lot of connections
- 25:54Speaker 4: up there and Nebraska. He's like he's running against the
- 26:00Speaker 4: tide every day. Man, he's like trying to turn that
- 26:04Speaker 4: place close back to what it was in the nineties
- 26:07Speaker 4: and the early two thousands. And in this day and age,
- 26:11Speaker 4: you can maybe do that with a lot of nil
- 26:13Speaker 4: cash and everything, but you're still got that stigma of
- 26:16Speaker 4: your Nebraska. You're kind of in the middle of nowhere
- 26:21Speaker 4: in the eyes of recruits. And they struck it big
- 26:25Speaker 4: here the last couple of years because they were able
- 26:27Speaker 4: to get a legacy player like Dylan Royola whose family
- 26:30Speaker 4: played there and all that stuff. But what happens after that,
- 26:34Speaker 4: what happens after Dylan Royola comes through there is the
- 26:37Speaker 4: best you're gonna do is maybe win eight nine games there.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Penn State can go win a national championship. They've done
- 26:43Speaker 4: in the past. So if Penn State goes after Matt
- 26:47Speaker 4: Ruhle like the way, I think they will at the
- 26:49Speaker 4: very least and kick the tires. He would have to
- 26:51Speaker 4: seriously consider leaving for that. I think he would.
- 26:54Speaker 1: All Right, let's bounce around a little bit. I know
- 26:56Speaker 1: you went to the Alabama game.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Listen.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I've like Kaylen to Bor even when times are tough.
- 27:00Speaker 1: I think calener Boor is a good coach. Do we
- 27:02Speaker 1: feel like he's now a good coach?
- 27:05Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the thing. He's always been a great coach.
- 27:07Speaker 4: You know, he's got the best record against ap top
- 27:11Speaker 4: ten teams ever, if you've as long as they've played
- 27:15Speaker 4: more than ten games, he's got the best record. Ever,
- 27:17Speaker 4: the guy just wins these big games. And I know
- 27:21Speaker 4: this score was twenty seven to twenty four, but it
- 27:23Speaker 4: never really felt that close. But that's kind of Bama's
- 27:26Speaker 4: problem right now under kaylend War. They're still trying to
- 27:29Speaker 4: learn how to put games away, but then they make
- 27:31Speaker 4: big plays when they have to to put them away.
- 27:34Speaker 4: And they did that against Maszoo. I mean, they open
- 27:36Speaker 4: up the second half and Ty Simpson, their quarterback, fumbles
- 27:39Speaker 4: the ball to set up a Maszoo touchdown, and then
- 27:41Speaker 4: all of a sudden, it's a game. And then Alabama
- 27:45Speaker 4: marches right down the field, has a nine minute drive,
- 27:47Speaker 4: looks like they score, but whoops, the quarterback kneeled on
- 27:52Speaker 4: the ball on accident instead of handing it off, and
- 27:55Speaker 4: then Miszoo's defense stops them and forces a field goal
- 27:58Speaker 4: when Massoo should have scored touchdown. They just make things
- 28:03Speaker 4: a little bit more difficult than they should. This is
- 28:05Speaker 4: a great team. Their defense has really improved. Their rush
- 28:07Speaker 4: defense more importantly, is improved, and they they might end
- 28:11Speaker 4: up being still the best team in the SEC this year.
- 28:14Speaker 2: By the end of it, I was gonna ask you
- 28:15Speaker 2: who you thought was the best team in the SEC.
- 28:17Speaker 5: Right now, probably Texas. A and M. Well maybe I'd
- 28:22Speaker 5: say Georgia.
- 28:23Speaker 4: And you know, my rankings are all over the place,
- 28:25Speaker 4: but Georgia still concerns me because they just seem to
- 28:28Speaker 4: be like legitimately hot and cold in the same game.
- 28:32Speaker 4: I mean, they looked hot and cold against Bama. They
- 28:34Speaker 4: look hot and cold to cold this past weekend against Auburn.
- 28:38Speaker 4: And their defense isn't all that electric. You know, a
- 28:42Speaker 4: couple of games ago, like three to four games into
- 28:45Speaker 4: the season, their defensive line was only responsible for four
- 28:48Speaker 4: tackles behind the line of scrimmage all season. We're used
- 28:52Speaker 4: to Georgia's defensive line being a monster in something that
- 28:56Speaker 4: no one ever wanted to face to only four TFLs
- 28:59Speaker 4: through the first three to four games this season. But
- 29:03Speaker 4: A and M they clicking, man, They're clicking on both
- 29:07Speaker 4: sides of the ball. They have a dynamic quarterback and
- 29:09Speaker 4: Marcel Reid. The problem is like in the back of
- 29:12Speaker 4: your head, you just get, you know, deja vu, Like
- 29:15Speaker 4: I've seen this before. A and M starts hot and
- 29:18Speaker 4: then they fall apart late in October November. That's been
- 29:20Speaker 4: the case under Mike Elko last year. Jimbo Fisher threw
- 29:23Speaker 4: out his tenure and of course even Kevin someone before him.
- 29:26Speaker 4: But this team's built different. They got the depth, they
- 29:30Speaker 4: seem to be all together. They don't really take any
- 29:32Speaker 4: weeks off between games. You don't see them kind of struggling.
- 29:36Speaker 4: I think they could end up being the SEC champion.
- 29:39Speaker 1: You talk about Georgia and I watched a bunch of
- 29:41Speaker 1: that game, and for two reasons, I wanted to see
- 29:43Speaker 1: a few freeze lasts. I was just curious to see
- 29:45Speaker 1: how Auburn would come out and play for their coach.
- 29:48Speaker 1: And the first half not bad. And also they got
- 29:51Speaker 1: screwed on the fumble. I also, I don't hate Georgia, Like,
- 29:55Speaker 1: I have no beef with Georgia. They win, They're not
- 29:56Speaker 1: that arrogant. I'd be way more arrogant if I was winning.
- 29:59Speaker 1: But this is like the first week ever watched Kirby
- 30:01Speaker 1: Smart and was like he's kind of a slime ball
- 30:02Speaker 1: that the time out, the clapping the timeout and then
- 30:05Speaker 1: fighting for it again in the press are after. I
- 30:07Speaker 1: really felt like Kirby Smart lost some cool points this week.
- 30:10Speaker 4: Yeah, that wasn't a good look, you know, it was
- 30:12Speaker 4: like it was like a kid like flipping off their
- 30:14Speaker 4: parents behind their back, and then you turn around and
- 30:16Speaker 4: catch them and they're like, no, I was just doing
- 30:18Speaker 4: jazz hands, daddy. I'm just doing like No, I saw you.
- 30:23Speaker 4: I saw what you were doing. There's tape of it.
- 30:26Speaker 4: But Kirby's kind of always been like that.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Yeah. I again, they're just not that arrogant, So I
- 30:31Speaker 2: don't hate him.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I don't mind somebody kind of sleazy because I think
- 30:33Speaker 1: you have to be that to be an SEC, successful
- 30:36Speaker 1: SEC coach.
- 30:37Speaker 6: You got to be dirty.
- 30:38Speaker 5: You got a place to be a psycho. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:40Speaker 5: be a successful SEC.
- 30:41Speaker 1: But he was for sure calling time out like there
- 30:43Speaker 1: was no doubt about he was calling time out. And
- 30:44Speaker 1: it was like I was clapping, like, at least own
- 30:47Speaker 1: it later in the press. You don't have to keep
- 30:49Speaker 1: fighting for it. It's on tape, man. But I to
- 30:52Speaker 1: go over to human. No, never, sir, no one time.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Never clap like that. Only when we finished this interview.
- 30:58Speaker 1: I'm always like, that was a heck of a performance
- 30:59Speaker 1: by Marcelo.
- 31:00Speaker 6: That's a great one. Auburn. Are they gonna move off?
- 31:04Speaker 5: Freeze the pressures building?
- 31:07Speaker 4: And if they don't win a couple of big games
- 31:09Speaker 4: and by big games, I mean rivalry type games Bama
- 31:13Speaker 4: or a top fifteen, top ten opponent down the stretches.
- 31:16Speaker 5: I think it's very possible.
- 31:18Speaker 4: There's a lot of heat there anyway for that type
- 31:21Speaker 4: of job. And you know the problem with Hugh Freeze
- 31:25Speaker 4: is that they brought him in to be the guy
- 31:27Speaker 4: that would turn an offense around. He was known as
- 31:29Speaker 4: the quarterback guy, and he's come in there and just
- 31:32Speaker 4: made mistake after mistake identifying talent at quarterback. He brings
- 31:35Speaker 4: in Michigan State transferred Peyton Thorn a year or two ago,
- 31:39Speaker 4: that completely imploded. Then he brings in ou S Jackson
- 31:42Speaker 4: Arnold and he's pretty much a replica of Peyton Thorn.
- 31:46Speaker 4: He doesn't look any different. He makes some bad throws,
- 31:49Speaker 4: bad decisions, holds onto the ball too long, and you
- 31:53Speaker 4: hired a coach who's supposed to have an explosive offense
- 31:55Speaker 4: and it's anything.
- 31:56Speaker 5: But that's the weakness of this team.
- 31:58Speaker 4: Despite them having I think one of the top five
- 32:01Speaker 4: receiver rooms in the entire country, a good offensive line,
- 32:07Speaker 4: and some pretty good running backs, you should be scoring
- 32:11Speaker 4: thirty points a game at least, and they're struggling to
- 32:14Speaker 4: get out of the teams in most games no matter
- 32:16Speaker 4: the opponent, and these past two weeks for them against
- 32:20Speaker 4: A and M and now Georgia, they look completely listless
- 32:25Speaker 4: and lost in the second half of those games. Offensively,
- 32:27Speaker 4: I mean, they had forty yards of offense in the
- 32:29Speaker 4: second half against Georgia, and most of those yards came
- 32:33Speaker 4: on their final drive when Georgia's pulling everybody back just
- 32:36Speaker 4: to make sure they didn't throw the ball into the
- 32:38Speaker 4: end zone to hold on to the win. That's not
- 32:41Speaker 4: sec quality, and it's certainly not quality for a coach
- 32:45Speaker 4: who's mo is offense.
- 32:48Speaker 1: We talk about coaching and how that carousel could actually
- 32:51Speaker 1: be pretty crazy, but even the quarterback carosel not just
- 32:54Speaker 1: fan al but because the coaching change.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Just say, Florida Auburn.
- 32:57Speaker 1: I mean, didn't you got Jackson Arnold, you got DJ
- 32:59Speaker 1: Lagway got all these guys who don't have a coach
- 33:02Speaker 1: can make more money will probably also leave there are
- 33:05Speaker 1: so there are a lot of great quarterbacks that could
- 33:07Speaker 1: also end up somewhere else next year.
- 33:10Speaker 4: Oh yeah, and then man, you look a look at
- 33:12Speaker 4: other quarterbacks out there as well, like at North Texas.
- 33:15Speaker 4: That guy's gonna probably make a lot of money if
- 33:17Speaker 4: he wants to transfer this upcoming year, and there's gonna
- 33:21Speaker 4: be other thos that that kind of rise through the ranks,
- 33:23Speaker 4: especially on the group of five level down the stretch.
- 33:28Speaker 4: And we always have the last two years, we always
- 33:31Speaker 4: have like a big name quarterback at a school, Leave
- 33:36Speaker 4: cam Ward a few years ago, John Mattier last year,
- 33:40Speaker 4: Washington State going to OU, Carson Beck going from Georgia
- 33:43Speaker 4: to Miami. And I would suspect there's probably gonna be
- 33:46Speaker 4: a name that comes out of left field once again
- 33:49Speaker 4: this year because that that money talks to them.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Signatty. I guess he's the guy.
- 33:54Speaker 4: Huh, dude, you'll talk by the way you want to
- 33:57Speaker 4: talk about psychos. He's a psychopath and I love you
- 34:00Speaker 4: see it in his interactions and his interviews and everything.
- 34:04Speaker 4: I made a joke to a friend that if Tim Burton,
- 34:08Speaker 4: the director Tim Burton, was somehow forced into making a
- 34:12Speaker 4: movie about football, he would cast Kurt.
- 34:14Speaker 5: Signetti as the football coach.
- 34:17Speaker 2: It's just this.
- 34:18Speaker 4: Weird guy, weird mannerisms, Like he's just like, how's he
- 34:21Speaker 4: pulling these sayings out of thin air? But yeah, I
- 34:24Speaker 4: mean every question about him has been answered. You know,
- 34:28Speaker 4: they go well, they just their schedules. They don't play anybody. Well,
- 34:31Speaker 4: you just went on the road and beat a number
- 34:34Speaker 4: three team in their house. You beat them by ten points,
- 34:37Speaker 4: and by the way, you did so after throwing a
- 34:39Speaker 4: pick six, and you still beat them by ten points.
- 34:42Speaker 4: They clamped down and actually beat down the Ducks in
- 34:46Speaker 4: Austin Stadium, which I went there last year for their
- 34:49Speaker 4: game against Ohio State, which was an instant classic. That's
- 34:52Speaker 4: one of the top ten atmospheres I've ever been in.
- 34:54Speaker 4: It's a smaller stadium, it's only like fifty five thousand people,
- 34:57Speaker 4: but it's incredible because of the way it's built. They
- 35:00Speaker 4: went in there and just didn't They couldn't do anything.
- 35:02Speaker 5: They scored.
- 35:03Speaker 4: I mean, Oregon only scored six points in the final
- 35:06Speaker 4: three quarters offensively and both were field goals.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Indian.
- 35:11Speaker 4: Look at the schedule for Indiana, man, they they should
- 35:14Speaker 4: be favored in every game remaining on the schedule, and
- 35:17Speaker 4: they're better than they were last year. Guys seventeen and
- 35:21Speaker 4: two at Indiana. I mean, to'd be seventeeen and two
- 35:24Speaker 4: at Bama over two years would be staggering, but to
- 35:28Speaker 4: do it at Indiana, but we never We've never We've
- 35:32Speaker 4: never seen anything like this ever. I hope people grasp that,
- 35:35Speaker 4: Like we've had programs like kind of rise out of nowhere,
- 35:40Speaker 4: but it took them several years to get there, like
- 35:42Speaker 4: Florida State in the seventies and eighties, Boise State in
- 35:46Speaker 4: the two.
- 35:46Speaker 5: Thousands and twenty tens.
- 35:48Speaker 4: That was a slow build as well, where all of
- 35:50Speaker 4: a sudden they became name brand type programs. Indiana's done
- 35:55Speaker 4: that overnight with a I mean, in their first year
- 35:57Speaker 4: with a new coach, and now in their second year
- 35:59Speaker 4: they're even better. I've never seen anything like it, but
- 36:03Speaker 4: the transfer portal and il Era it makes it all possible.
- 36:07Speaker 1: I feel like there are a few things in sports
- 36:08Speaker 1: to kind of reset the game that make other people
- 36:11Speaker 1: either understand that they haven't been as good as they
- 36:14Speaker 1: could have been, or they could be a lot better.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Ones a form minut a mile.
- 36:16Speaker 1: The first time somebody runs it, everybody then starts running
- 36:18Speaker 1: it because you can see that it's done. Adrian Peterson
- 36:20Speaker 1: coming back so fast from tearing his ACL and again
- 36:24Speaker 1: he's superhuman, but it showed that you can come back
- 36:27Speaker 1: a lot quicker than doctors have said. And now with
- 36:30Speaker 1: Signette winning, there I think, for better or worse, it's
- 36:32Speaker 1: going to set unfair expectations on what great coaches do
- 36:36Speaker 1: at even mid programs.
- 36:38Speaker 4: Yeah, and you're gonna see a lot more, especially in
- 36:42Speaker 4: this cycle, because as I said, there's many a lot
- 36:43Speaker 4: of programs are where fans are not gonna be happy
- 36:45Speaker 4: with the coach they hire. And you're gonna see some coaches,
- 36:48Speaker 4: probably from the FCS level who have won big where
- 36:51Speaker 4: they're at, or at a smaller program even within the
- 36:55Speaker 4: FBS that gets bumped up to a bigger job, and
- 36:58Speaker 4: people are going to go, what's up with this higher
- 37:00Speaker 4: But you gotta find, if you're an ad search firm, committee, whatever,
- 37:04Speaker 4: you got to find a coach who's been successful no
- 37:08Speaker 4: matter where they've been, on a couple of different levels
- 37:12Speaker 4: with different levels of resources. Names that always come to
- 37:16Speaker 4: mind for me here in this recent era for that
- 37:20Speaker 4: are one Kurt Signetty because he's done on multiple levels.
- 37:23Speaker 4: Lance Leopold at Kansas, he's done it at multiple levels.
- 37:27Speaker 4: And by the way, if the job at Wisconsin comes open,
- 37:30Speaker 4: I would think they're going to go directly after him
- 37:33Speaker 4: and make him say no because he had so much
- 37:35Speaker 4: success at Wisconsin, Whitewater a lower level program. Chris Kleiman
- 37:41Speaker 4: as well at Kansas State. Matt Intz who was winning
- 37:45Speaker 4: big at North Dakota State and is now rising up
- 37:48Speaker 4: the ranks as well, Ekt at New Mexico State, just
- 37:54Speaker 4: absolutely just getting it done. These are the type of
- 37:57Speaker 4: things that are becoming a little bit more for them,
- 38:01Speaker 4: for eighties to be more warm up too, because they
- 38:03Speaker 4: always want to try to make a splash or go
- 38:05Speaker 4: get the new hot assistant, you know, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator,
- 38:09Speaker 4: But just go get someone that starts their career and
- 38:12Speaker 4: wins there and gradually moves up because it shows that
- 38:16Speaker 4: their system, their process, the progress they're doing just works.
- 38:20Speaker 4: And then invest in them. Put everything you can into
- 38:23Speaker 4: nil and all the tools and everything you need in
- 38:26Speaker 4: the recruiting department to make them succeed.
- 38:28Speaker 1: I'll do a final question about Arkansas and that I
- 38:31Speaker 1: think the Petrino meter did not move one way or
- 38:34Speaker 1: the other this week, and I think that's a positive.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I think he didn't lose anything. I don't think people
- 38:37Speaker 1: feel worse about him. Had they come out and had
- 38:40Speaker 1: they we I feel like I'm on the team. Had
- 38:41Speaker 1: we lost by twenty points or so, I think everybody
- 38:44Speaker 1: would have already checked out of the Petrino experiment. Had
- 38:47Speaker 1: you won, I think you had a lot of people going, Hey,
- 38:49Speaker 1: I think this could possibly be our guy with a
- 38:51Speaker 1: couple more wins. And we've got a couple of winnable
- 38:52Speaker 1: games with we could possibly beat Auburn. It's hard to
- 38:56Speaker 1: say winnable, and we've been so terrible, but I think
- 38:58Speaker 1: there are a couple of games, mississip I think we
- 39:00Speaker 1: can win those games. But because it was a close
- 39:03Speaker 1: game on the road, I think he's where he was
- 39:06Speaker 1: before it started.
- 39:06Speaker 2: What are your thoughts on that.
- 39:08Speaker 5: Same I don't think anything changed there.
- 39:10Speaker 4: I mean they went on the road and they lost
- 39:12Speaker 4: in a very similar fashion the way they've lost the
- 39:15Speaker 4: last two years. Right, one possession game and they lose
- 39:20Speaker 4: because they make too many mistakes. They had three turnovers, right,
- 39:23Speaker 4: I mean, I thought in a way, just because it
- 39:26Speaker 4: wasn't the timing like the Old Miss game, or you're
- 39:28Speaker 4: fumbling as you're driving. I mean, put that fumble earlier
- 39:31Speaker 4: in the game against Old Miss, and then they still
- 39:33Speaker 4: lose it by the same score. That's what happened against Tennessee.
- 39:37Speaker 4: In my opinion, that's it's like it's very similar to
- 39:40Speaker 4: the old miss game, and to a certain extent, it's
- 39:43Speaker 4: the same type of result you had it in Memphis,
- 39:45Speaker 4: So like nothing's changed other than you got blown out
- 39:50Speaker 4: at Notre Dame against Notre Dame at home, so that
- 39:52Speaker 4: was a different thing. You haven't seen that, But what
- 39:55Speaker 4: you've seen in the past. The way they've lost on
- 39:57Speaker 4: the road is the same. I mean, they've they've been
- 39:59Speaker 4: losing one possession games on the road for the better
- 40:01Speaker 4: part of the last two three years.
- 40:03Speaker 5: This is nothing new.
- 40:04Speaker 4: So yeah, it's it's it did nothing for me, and
- 40:08Speaker 4: but they're gonna, in my opinion, because of the way
- 40:11Speaker 4: Arkansas is built offensively, they're gonna, i don't know, sneak
- 40:16Speaker 4: ups the right work. They're gonna beat somebody that they
- 40:18Speaker 4: quote unquote shouldn't on the schedule. At some point, it's
- 40:22Speaker 4: gonna happen, Bobby, and you're gonna hear the You're gonna
- 40:25Speaker 4: hear people doing Bobby's a guy, Bobby, Bobby Petrino's a guy.
- 40:28Speaker 4: He's got We gotta keep him. But I don't see
- 40:31Speaker 4: how you do that three or four times. I think
- 40:33Speaker 4: I think he's got.
- 40:34Speaker 1: To win at least four games I do too, and
- 40:36Speaker 1: himself I've said I've said the same thing. And it's
- 40:38Speaker 1: also unfair to expect him to win that game.
- 40:40Speaker 2: You know.
- 40:41Speaker 1: I know they had a bye week and idle week,
- 40:43Speaker 1: whatever you're gonna call it, but I did not feel
- 40:46Speaker 1: any more either direction, and so I think he still
- 40:49Speaker 1: can prove he can be the guy.
- 40:51Speaker 6: I don't listen. I kind of don't care if he
- 40:53Speaker 6: wins games.
- 40:53Speaker 1: I think he deserves a short contract and let's see
- 40:55Speaker 1: what he can do for a couple of years. If
- 40:56Speaker 1: he doesn't, Uh cool, let's go get somebody. I would
- 41:00Speaker 1: have somebody like you're talking about some of these guys
- 41:01Speaker 1: that have proven that they have wonted different levels. I
- 41:04Speaker 1: swear to god, I don't want to John Gruden. I
- 41:06Speaker 1: don't want like those are. That's the opposite of what
- 41:08Speaker 1: we should want, because that is such a fireball that
- 41:12Speaker 1: dies a bad death.
- 41:14Speaker 5: Yes, I listen.
- 41:17Speaker 4: I hate the idea of saying celebrity coach because in
- 41:20Speaker 4: some ways John Gruden can be identified as that, but
- 41:22Speaker 4: also he just hasn't been successful very much. Go look
- 41:26Speaker 4: at his NFL record. Obviously he's never coaching college football.
- 41:30Speaker 4: You hire him, he'll bring you a bunch of attention.
- 41:32Speaker 4: Maybe you get the fans riled up. I mean, he'll
- 41:35Speaker 4: be great on the boosters circuit and all that type
- 41:37Speaker 4: of stuff, but you're not going to win, and then
- 41:41Speaker 4: three years it's gonna be what do we do here?
- 41:43Speaker 4: I mean certain programs, even smaller programs, have kind of
- 41:46Speaker 4: taken that approach. We just saw it blow up in
- 41:49Speaker 4: the face of UAB. They brought in Trent Dilfer. They're like, ah,
- 41:53Speaker 4: this guy, this guy was on ESPN. He just coached
- 41:56Speaker 4: a high school team. That's good enough for us. No
- 42:00Speaker 4: blow up in their face. And it still don't get
- 42:02Speaker 4: you a guy wins at multiple levels. I mean, yes,
- 42:06Speaker 4: go get you a name coach or whatever if you can.
- 42:09Speaker 4: If you got the money, who wins, that's great. But
- 42:13Speaker 4: the guy who's coaching at Division two and then goes
- 42:16Speaker 4: up to FCS or maybe lower level FBS team and
- 42:19Speaker 4: all they do is win ten games every single year
- 42:23Speaker 4: might be just as good, if not better, a coach
- 42:26Speaker 4: than some of these big names out there. It is
- 42:27Speaker 4: just they haven't gotten the opportunity. And I'm telling you,
- 42:30Speaker 4: these athletic departments don't want to spend a lot of
- 42:33Speaker 4: money now because of nil and they're trying to pinch
- 42:35Speaker 4: pennies like.
- 42:36Speaker 5: That should be.
- 42:37Speaker 4: It probably won't be because it makes sense, it makes
- 42:40Speaker 4: financial sense.
- 42:41Speaker 5: That should be the next wave.
- 42:42Speaker 4: Bring these guys up that are winning no matter where
- 42:45Speaker 4: they go, and save some money along the way.
- 42:48Speaker 2: So who's Arkansas's next coach right now?
- 42:49Speaker 4: If you're betting, man, I don't know, I really don't.
- 42:52Speaker 4: I mean, you might hear James Franklin's name come up.
- 42:55Speaker 4: I thought we're gonna hear it at the end of
- 42:56Speaker 4: the year anyway, with them losing the way they are.
- 43:01Speaker 4: I think it's wide open, Bobby, I really do, all right,
- 43:05Speaker 4: because everything's going to change week to week because more
- 43:07Speaker 4: jobs are gonna come open, more big jobs. Florida's out

- 44:40Speaker 1: Okay, so we were just talking with Brandon Marcelo and
- 44:42Speaker 1: we did mention that Trent dol For stood us up.
- 44:44Speaker 1: I hate see anybody get fired. I don't like to
- 44:46Speaker 1: see Trent dol For get fired because there are people too,
- 44:49Speaker 1: you know, yeah, and they have kids in school, they
- 44:51Speaker 1: got to move a need groceries, it's.
- 44:53Speaker 2: All and stuff.
- 44:54Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I think he's okay.
- 44:56Speaker 1: You know, uh he did stand us up one. He
- 44:59Speaker 1: did like full stand up. And you know what, we
- 45:01Speaker 1: don't forget those kinds of things.
- 45:03Speaker 2: I don't forget. There's like you do not forget.
- 45:06Speaker 7: No, but there is there levels to standing up. Yes, right,
- 45:10Speaker 7: and he was I'll let you take the floor from
- 45:12Speaker 7: there by.
- 45:12Speaker 5: I agree.
- 45:14Speaker 2: What are you trying to say?
- 45:15Speaker 6: I could call the school.
- 45:16Speaker 2: He was a high school coach right down the road
- 45:18Speaker 2: and he.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Was coming over and it's when he was doing his
- 45:21Speaker 1: big PR thing. Because I'm trendill for Winnestate Championships. Think
- 45:24Speaker 1: I want to be a college coach and awesome drive over.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Let's have a whole interview five minutes late. No big deal,
- 45:31Speaker 1: he's trendil for former super Bowl champion twenty minutes late.
- 45:35Speaker 1: No big deal, stay champion, trendil for and super Bowl
- 45:38Speaker 1: thirty minutes late.
- 45:39Speaker 6: I don't know is he dead? So we called the
- 45:41Speaker 6: school and he just forgot.
- 45:43Speaker 2: That's how we call the school. Is he dead? Because
- 45:45Speaker 2: he's supposed to be here right now and he's not.
- 45:47Speaker 2: He literally just forgot.
- 45:48Speaker 7: I forgot, and we were like, man, I hope he's okay.
- 45:51Speaker 1: Yeah, we were legitimately. Eddie was crying and I was like, okay,
- 45:55Speaker 1: I was. So it sucks he got fired, but it
- 45:58Speaker 1: also sucked to be stood up time.
- 46:00Speaker 2: And I don't know which one's words right now. He did.
- 46:03Speaker 2: He did have a cool thing in his press conference.
- 46:05Speaker 2: I don't know when this was, but I saw it
- 46:06Speaker 2: on TikTok where he talked about negativity. Do you see this?
- 46:10Speaker 2: He gets a piece of paper and he's like, this
- 46:11Speaker 2: is what I tell my players, and he drew got
- 46:13Speaker 2: a white piece of paper and drew a little black
- 46:16Speaker 2: dot on it. He's like, what do you see on
- 46:17Speaker 2: that paper? And then the reporters like, uh, a black
- 46:20Speaker 2: dot exactly. You don't see all the piece of paper.
- 46:24Speaker 2: You see the negative, little black dot. That's negativity. I'm like,
- 46:27Speaker 2: that's pretty good. Then he got fired. Dang No, I
- 46:32Speaker 2: was like, I.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Don't know, didn't get you ever see the thing where
- 46:36Speaker 1: they put an ant piece of a circle around it
- 46:38Speaker 1: and the ant doesn't leave the circle?
- 46:40Speaker 2: But is that true? Though? Like I'm just asking if
- 46:42Speaker 2: you've seen it. I've seen it, heard of that, but
- 46:44Speaker 2: is that real?
- 46:45Speaker 6: And how is that really watched?
- 46:46Speaker 1: I've watched many tiktoks on it that I think it
- 46:50Speaker 1: is pretty real, I think.
- 46:53Speaker 2: And then once ant just sees the line, it's like
- 46:55Speaker 2: I'm not crossing that.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Well, they do multiple and then once one goes across,
- 46:58Speaker 1: because it doesn't hold every ynt back. And mostly it's
- 47:01Speaker 1: like at first they're a little like I don't think
- 47:03Speaker 1: I can get past that. But once one does and
- 47:04Speaker 1: they all see they can do it. Oh, interesting, but
- 47:07Speaker 1: it takes somebody. We were talking about Brandon earlier. It
- 47:09Speaker 1: was like Signetti like he's winning at a mid at
- 47:12Speaker 1: a basketball school at a big level, and I always
- 47:14Speaker 1: make the reference to Forman a Mile or Adrian Peterson
- 47:17Speaker 1: coming like that first ant.
- 47:19Speaker 2: He's the groundbreaker.
- 47:20Speaker 1: That's what he should have done. Hold piece of paper up,
- 47:22Speaker 1: put an ant on it. Not watch I've seen this on TikTok.
- 47:28Speaker 1: So Yeah he's.
- 47:30Speaker 7: Got a decent buyout he does, yeah two point eight.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Okay, he'll be okay.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Then he's gonna be okay, and you'll have groceries for
- 47:36Speaker 1: a little I do get irritated, and it's probably a
- 47:40Speaker 1: bit unfair for me to get irritated when people are like,
- 47:42Speaker 1: they'll be like what you just said, they'll be odobe
- 47:44Speaker 1: be okay, because not because.
- 47:46Speaker 6: Of the money thing.
- 47:46Speaker 1: But I would say a lot of people being like, yeah,
- 47:48Speaker 1: James Franklin, he'll be all right with fifty six million.
- 47:50Speaker 1: But the thing about someone like a James Franklin or
- 47:52Speaker 1: anyone that gets to that level, the money was never
- 47:55Speaker 1: the motivator. So it's also not going to be the
- 47:57Speaker 1: thing that makes it okay. Right, You don't get to
- 47:59Speaker 1: a high level if money's your motivator, especially in coaching
- 48:04Speaker 1: or anything creative, because you're you're mostly just poor. Most
- 48:08Speaker 1: people don't get out of a place where they're not
- 48:10Speaker 1: over middle class. It's an impossible area to break out of.
- 48:14Speaker 1: So for you to even do it and pay your
- 48:16Speaker 1: bills anything creative or in coaching, just to get to
- 48:20Speaker 1: the stage where you can pay your bills comfortably, that's
- 48:22Speaker 1: one percent. And so to get to these psychotic places,
- 48:26Speaker 1: money cannot be a motivator because you've been in it
- 48:29Speaker 1: for so long for so many reasons that aren't money,
- 48:31Speaker 1: that when you get fired and people are like, oh.
- 48:33Speaker 2: He's got his money.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it's great, don't get me wrong, But a guy
- 48:36Speaker 1: like James Franklin already has plenty of money. It's not
- 48:38Speaker 1: going to change his life, and he's going to get
- 48:41Speaker 1: eaten up inside to go and compete.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Again.
- 48:43Speaker 6: It's the same with dil for same with anyone in
- 48:45Speaker 6: those situations.
- 48:47Speaker 1: But yeah, I get reallier te people say that sorry,
- 48:49Speaker 1: yeah it's okay.
- 48:50Speaker 2: You know, look at his ant. Look at his ant. Wow,
- 48:53Speaker 2: it's not moving. But at the same time too, like,
- 48:56Speaker 2: don't these coaches know that they're a good possibility of
- 49:00Speaker 2: getting fired when they take the job. You get fired
- 49:02Speaker 2: every job. You kind of just know, like, I'm going
- 49:04Speaker 2: to take this job. I could last ten years here,
- 49:06Speaker 2: it could last twenty years here, but I'm probably gonna
- 49:08Speaker 2: get fired.
- 49:08Speaker 7: It's the point the fact that he was there for
- 49:10Speaker 7: what ten a decade, right, Yeah, that's that's pretty good.
- 49:13Speaker 1: We remember him here at Vanderbilt. He was here for
- 49:15Speaker 1: a little bit before he left to go up there.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I think if you take it two years ago, whoa,
- 49:21Speaker 1: that's time fly, that's crazy.
- 49:23Speaker 2: And we hadn't even had fun, you know. I mean,
- 49:26Speaker 2: that's right. They help because they say that's right. Imagine
- 49:30Speaker 2: it had gone by a lot faster.
- 49:34Speaker 1: But yes, I think if you take a P four job,
- 49:39Speaker 1: you know, anything after about four years, like, that's borrowed time.
- 49:45Speaker 2: So and it's funny too when we saw a lot
- 49:47Speaker 2: of these like when we go to these colleges and
- 49:49Speaker 2: interview coaches, Uh, it's funny to see some of them
- 49:52Speaker 2: like make themselves at home, and then some of them
- 49:55Speaker 2: just put nothing up.
- 49:56Speaker 6: Those are the guys that have moved around a whole
- 49:58Speaker 6: whole bunch.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Like I remember Bruce Pearl, like, and he'd
- 50:03Speaker 2: been in Auburn for a while, and he was he's
- 50:05Speaker 2: a good coach and with a winning record, so he's
- 50:07Speaker 2: probably gonna be there for a while, but he didn't
- 50:09Speaker 2: have much in his office.
- 50:10Speaker 6: To be fair, he did leave pretty soon after that.
- 50:12Speaker 2: Maybe that was why. Yeah, Yeah, I had a few
- 50:16Speaker 2: books at a box and like nothing, he was moving.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Yeah, and he had papers stacked everywhere everywhere. Okay, let
- 50:21Speaker 1: me go through my notes real quick. These are all
- 50:23Speaker 1: the losers this week. Number three Oregon lost, number six,
- 50:26Speaker 1: Oklahoma lost number fourteen, mis already lost number fifteen, Michigan
- 50:29Speaker 1: lost number seventeen, Illinois lost number twenty two, Iowa State
- 50:32Speaker 1: lost again, a second bad loss for them, and number
- 50:35Speaker 1: twenty five Florida State lost.
- 50:37Speaker 2: There's one more. Bobby lost. Oh I lost many a
- 50:41Speaker 2: lot of money. But but you read that list and
- 50:43Speaker 2: I'm like, that's why we lost a lot of money, Like,
- 50:45Speaker 2: that's why we lost.
- 50:47Speaker 6: The portal in il.
- 50:54Speaker 1: Culture is making everything way more equal everything, which makes
- 50:59Speaker 1: things so hard to be and you're that's where your
- 51:01Speaker 1: mind goes, Yeah, yeah, so hardy. It's gonna make it
- 51:04Speaker 1: so hard for these coaches to keep their jobs too,
- 51:07Speaker 1: because yeah, you're just not gonna have the layers of
- 51:11Speaker 1: premier depth anywhere, even at a Georgia You're just not
- 51:15Speaker 1: going to have it. And if a couple things don't
- 51:18Speaker 1: go your way, or an injury or two happens, you're
- 51:20Speaker 1: not going to have the depth. If you're this A
- 51:23Speaker 1: plus program and you have a couple of bad years
- 51:26Speaker 1: in a row, you're done.
- 51:28Speaker 2: You have to sadly take your fifty six.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Million and go home, and you may not be all right,
- 51:33Speaker 1: and you may not be all right.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't.
- 51:35Speaker 7: You don't get the time anymore to build a program.
- 51:37Speaker 7: There's no more building. There's either overnight. Yeah, flip it around.
- 51:41Speaker 2: Yeah, okay.
- 51:41Speaker 6: Notes The Jets suck.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Justinville sucks.
- 51:46Speaker 6: They're like no passing.
- 51:47Speaker 7: Yards at eighty two total yards.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Yeah, the second half it is like no yards. Yeah,
- 51:52Speaker 1: they suck.
- 51:54Speaker 6: He might get fired in you're one yea.
- 51:57Speaker 7: And I'm like, who's their back of Tyron Taylor? Come on,
- 52:01Speaker 7: gotta be a little better than that, because feel nine
- 52:03Speaker 7: sacks nine.
- 52:05Speaker 1: Jet's suck so bad. Okay, that's a note. Eddie Early
- 52:09Speaker 1: jumped in the Oh. Yeah, I hate the game. By
- 52:11Speaker 1: the way, I'm over it. I don't want any more
- 52:12Speaker 1: ey to Clock games. I told you I chose not
- 52:16Speaker 1: to watch it purposefully. I ended up watching it, but
- 52:19Speaker 1: I chose not to. Like, I didn't wake up with
- 52:22Speaker 1: the intent of watching it. My wife pregnant, she's been
- 52:25Speaker 1: waking up more. I slept upstairs at beds and I
- 52:28Speaker 1: was comfortable, and so I was up and I took
- 52:31Speaker 1: the dogs and fed them.
- 52:33Speaker 2: I went and worked out.
- 52:34Speaker 6: I just did everything possible to not watch that game.
- 52:37Speaker 2: And I was like, just watch it. Anything else to do? Yes,
- 52:41Speaker 2: you're done with everything else? Too much? It is especially
- 52:44Speaker 2: it hits me like Sunday night. It's just like I've
- 52:46Speaker 2: been watching football all day since eight am and Saturday.
- 52:50Speaker 1: I'm in shape on a Sunday to watch football from
- 52:53Speaker 1: noon until about nine, I'm about nine hour shape.
- 52:56Speaker 6: I don't have thirteen hours of shape.
- 52:57Speaker 2: It's a lot. Yeah.
- 52:59Speaker 1: So I ended up watching the terrible game and the
- 53:02Speaker 1: Jets are terrible and they suck and they need to
- 53:05Speaker 1: relegate them.
- 53:06Speaker 7: Do your guys's families or wives just ever be like
- 53:08Speaker 7: You're like, you know, let's go do this right now.
- 53:10Speaker 7: Like wait, what you don't want to watch football? You're
- 53:11Speaker 7: like I need to. I just need an hour break,
- 53:13Speaker 7: and they're like really from football? Yeah, because I'll do that.
- 53:17Speaker 2: When do you take that hour?
- 53:18Speaker 4: That? Yes?
- 53:20Speaker 7: Or today whatever it was. I think we were carving
- 53:22Speaker 7: pumpkins with the little ones today, Like yeah, I can
- 53:24Speaker 7: do it right now. After the Patriots played, you know,
- 53:25Speaker 7: oh at.
- 53:26Speaker 6: Three, what that's the best hour to do it.
- 53:27Speaker 1: That's like thirty Yeah, is the premiere hour where if
- 53:31Speaker 1: you have to get an hour to go, that's the one.
- 53:33Speaker 1: Not as many games. The afternoon just slaps you. You're
- 53:37Speaker 1: a little fatigued. Anyway, that's a good strong hour.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Three thirty to four thirty. They do give us the
- 53:43Speaker 2: six to seven break, but that sometimes that's too late
- 53:46Speaker 2: for our wives, like what's dinner time? Like what do
- 53:48Speaker 2: you what do you want to do now?
- 53:49Speaker 7: Yeah, and you're just busy during that time anyways, and
- 53:51Speaker 7: then before you know itice seven, you're like, I got another.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Game on the three thirty to four thirty is the
- 53:56Speaker 2: strongest hour.
- 53:56Speaker 7: It's the happy hours.
- 53:58Speaker 1: I try to stay ahead, and the opposite way, I
- 54:01Speaker 1: will like my wife and we're going to go watch
- 54:03Speaker 1: a movie today. We're going to go and because the
- 54:07Speaker 1: three o'clock games kind of sucked, but also I wanted
- 54:10Speaker 1: to watch the Chiefs. They don't play till seven, which
- 54:13Speaker 1: is last night, so I kind of had in the
- 54:15Speaker 1: under the Bengals, we're going to be Joe Flacco's game one, which,
- 54:18Speaker 1: by the way, we're recording right now while that game
- 54:20Speaker 1: is happening, what's score?
- 54:21Speaker 2: Uh? Just what? So it's over? No, I mean no,
- 54:26Speaker 2: it's over. Left, it's over.
- 54:29Speaker 1: That's over, Brandon, you'll go to teach Brandon Lingo it's over. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 54:34Speaker 1: you're like, technically it's not. We have three minutes left, guys.
- 54:37Speaker 6: So that game was going, what do we have?
- 54:40Speaker 2: Uh? How's that?
- 54:41Speaker 7: How the bus are? The Bucks are at eight with
- 54:43Speaker 7: eight and a half minutes.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Who's got the ball? Niners and the Titans are winning? No, no,
- 54:51Speaker 2: the Titans. The Raiders are winning twenty ten. What's what's
- 54:54Speaker 2: the Tampa Bay situation?
- 54:55Speaker 7: Niners have the ball, but they're on their own forty.
- 54:57Speaker 2: We need the Bucks to win. We do.
- 54:59Speaker 6: It's massive for our little are little gambling.
- 55:01Speaker 1: I had texted our group thread some stuff and I
- 55:05Speaker 1: was like, we need this team to win, save us
- 55:07Speaker 1: a couple hundred bucks. And Eddie replies back, this is
- 55:10Speaker 1: Eddie's wife. By the way, I know it went really well.
- 55:14Speaker 1: She would never say this is Eddie's wife. She would
- 55:16Speaker 1: say her name.
- 55:17Speaker 2: I knew you wouldn't. But Kevin, did you think possibly?
- 55:19Speaker 7: First?
- 55:20Speaker 2: All right, check, Hey guys, I heard Eddie's Hey guys,
- 55:27Speaker 2: this is Eddie's wife. I said, why do you need
- 55:30Speaker 2: the Jets to win so badly?
- 55:33Speaker 1: I just started texting emojis as well to be like
- 55:36Speaker 1: fish is now dollars and I did a plane for
- 55:38Speaker 1: the Jets, so.
- 55:39Speaker 2: Just let's keep it that way. Yeah, Eddie texting his
- 55:44Speaker 2: wife was funny.
- 55:45Speaker 1: I wrote Herbert's throw at the end was so good,
- 55:48Speaker 1: meaning not just to throw, but he was getting sacked
- 55:51Speaker 1: and they were pulling him down and he shakes it.
- 55:55Speaker 1: I think to Ladd mmconchley. Whatever he runs, that's how
- 55:58Speaker 1: they won the game with.
- 55:59Speaker 6: That field goal. It was awesome. He's now good.
- 56:02Speaker 7: I feel like he's always on the verge of getting
- 56:04Speaker 7: sacked and making a hell of a thrill.
- 56:06Speaker 6: He's now good.
- 56:07Speaker 1: On the run for like two years almost like he's
- 56:08Speaker 1: not good. Everybody needs to just get off his jock.
- 56:10Speaker 2: How good he is? I think he's not good.
- 56:12Speaker 1: And he's got a celebrity girlfriend, so we gotta respect him.
- 56:15Speaker 2: Who's his girlfriend? Madison Beer? Hey? I know she is?
- 56:19Speaker 2: Who is she? Why do you buy beer? No? No,
- 56:22Speaker 2: I'm just saying I know she is. And the Bengals
- 56:24Speaker 2: just scored. Let's cool, baby, or they did so let's
- 56:27Speaker 2: score Jamar Chase just scored Brandon. Is it over all? Right?
- 56:35Speaker 6: So they're down eight right now?
- 56:36Speaker 7: Yeah, but they haven't kicked a field or exty going
- 56:39Speaker 7: for two?
- 56:39Speaker 2: They got it? Well, I'm see look, oh I get
- 56:42Speaker 2: still talking about No. I know.
- 56:44Speaker 1: I'll get text messages from people because I'll watch YouTube
- 56:46Speaker 1: TV and sometimes there's twenty seconds behind yeah something, Oh
- 56:48Speaker 1: my god, and I'm like, Okay, something on the screen's
- 56:51Speaker 1: about to happen.
- 56:52Speaker 2: I have to flip my phone over when that happens.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Kevin text the group thread and was like, let's e
- 56:57Speaker 1: F and go or something. I don't know what he said,
- 56:58Speaker 1: and I was like, oh, what's about to happen? When happen?
- 57:00Speaker 2: And he goes, oh wrong, wrong thread?
- 57:03Speaker 7: Like sorry, you guys.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Wrong through You know what's really fastest? DraftKings, like faster
- 57:08Speaker 2: than anything they have to be. And so I love
- 57:11Speaker 2: telling my kids like I look at the score, I'm like,
- 57:12Speaker 2: off touchdown, Okay. I don't know, guys, I just feel
- 57:14Speaker 2: like there's gonna be a touchdown here. Gee, that's funny.
- 57:17Speaker 2: I was like, how did you do that?
- 57:19Speaker 7: My dad used to deal that with red lights. We'd
- 57:21Speaker 7: be sitting at the red light and you could see
- 57:23Speaker 7: the other one about the turn, and we didn't know
- 57:24Speaker 7: as kids it we'd be like three two, well almost
- 57:27Speaker 7: almost try to get to My dad would get it
- 57:29Speaker 7: every time and he'd just be like, I'm just that
- 57:31Speaker 7: good guys.
- 57:31Speaker 6: Dude, that's a core memory for you. That's funny.
- 57:33Speaker 7: Yeah, And that just hit me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 57:36Speaker 7: was still remember that.
- 57:44Speaker 2: Okay, a couple other things.
- 57:46Speaker 1: I all the sec listen to this old messus four
- 57:49Speaker 1: A and M's five, Alabama's eight, George's ten, LSU's eleven,
- 57:52Speaker 1: Tennessee's twelve, Missouri's fourteen, Oklahoma six. This is all before
- 57:57Speaker 1: the shakeup Vanderbilt twenty. That's a lot of ranked teams.
- 58:01Speaker 1: There's about to be a lot of ranked teams losing.
- 58:06Speaker 1: They're all ranked, so just a lot of shakeup over
- 58:08Speaker 1: the next few weeks. Texas, Mike, i'd you feel.
- 58:12Speaker 5: I feel pretty good.
- 58:13Speaker 8: Aren't just a little better? Not overthrowing as much? Yeah,
- 58:17Speaker 8: it kind of eliminated him a little bit. Game was
- 58:19Speaker 8: hard to watch.
- 58:20Speaker 1: That game felt like a little again, and I watch
- 58:22Speaker 1: a lot of it, but when I was watching it
- 58:23Speaker 1: look like the Browns and Steelers kind of like nobody just.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Wanted to do anything like comparison.
- 58:30Speaker 1: No, it's yeah, I don't want to It's like one
- 58:33Speaker 1: team has fourteen players out there at once, one team
- 58:35Speaker 1: has a they're just they're not doing forward passes that
- 58:40Speaker 1: It's just weird. Both those games were weird. The Cleveland game,
- 58:44Speaker 1: Dylan Gabriel didn't play terrible. No, he threw like forty six,
- 58:48Speaker 1: but that game was awful. Even the grass was like
- 58:51Speaker 1: extra wet green or something like. Yeah, everything was off.
- 58:54Speaker 2: Where they all field goals. I feel like every time
- 58:55Speaker 2: they'd go to that game, that was a field goal
- 58:57Speaker 2: being kicked until the end. I think Pittsburgh ended up
- 58:59Speaker 2: scoring a little.
- 58:59Speaker 7: Bit, righty, they had two touchdowns.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Yeah, second half, Okay, let's see, let's see, let me see.
- 59:06Speaker 2: I anything else. And I got a couple of edit things.
- 59:07Speaker 2: And I did have a question too that my kids asked,
- 59:09Speaker 2: and go ahead didn't really have an answer. They asked
- 59:11Speaker 2: about Joe Flacco. They're like, think, like he's always going
- 59:14Speaker 2: to different teams. What does his family do. They stay
- 59:17Speaker 2: in the same city.
- 59:18Speaker 1: So okay, they don't move with him, so he is
- 59:21Speaker 1: he gone? Like the whole season? No, h during this season,
- 59:25Speaker 1: like they could come to an apartment. But if they're
- 59:26Speaker 1: in school, I don't know hold his kids are. But
- 59:28Speaker 1: I can just give you the common thing that happens.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I had no idea. I'm like, I don't know, man.
- 59:31Speaker 2: I think they go with them.
- 59:32Speaker 1: No, they stay home, okay, and they go to their
- 59:34Speaker 1: schools and the city where Flacco lives.
- 59:37Speaker 2: Where does Flack or is he from?
- 59:38Speaker 7: They live in New Jersey?
- 59:39Speaker 1: Okay, So I would imagine they're either like living in
- 59:43Speaker 1: Indie still because they signed a new contract. He signed
- 59:46Speaker 1: like a longer term contract here, or they're still in
- 59:48Speaker 1: New Jersey if I were guessing, because that's what a
- 59:50Speaker 1: lot of players do once they get later in their career,
- 59:52Speaker 1: once they.
- 59:52Speaker 2: Have a home. So Joe, but but team practices in Cleveland, right,
- 59:56Speaker 2: so he'll be in Cleveland for no Cincinnati since an
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Uh, he'll be there for what four or
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: four days out of the week and then go home.
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: He can have a day also, there should get a
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: day if he'd go home for a day. It's tough
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: bye week go home for yeah, three or four days.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I legitimately had no idea. What tell him? Like,
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: I don't know, man, I remember we talked to Wade
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: Boggs and he said, like I just had apartments like
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: wherever I would go play and my family just be
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: back back there.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Once you get older, you don't move him around as
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: much when you're young. You probably if you have babies
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: or before kids get put in schools, because you don't
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: want to move your kids around as much as a
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: new dad.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: I can tell you very nogable.
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: You don't want to any updates over there on the games.
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: For our sakes, Niners are driving still okay now they're
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: on Tampa's thirty third and one.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: Tess Johnson did score though we interviewed him at Oregon.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: He had his first like a couple catches last week.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: I thought this is his first. That was his first touchdown?
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Was it? Yeah?
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: Yeah, as older other receiver I know.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: And he was like a seventh round pick, I think
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: six or seventh round pick. I mean he looked that up.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: He was awesome. Yeah, and he was like bo Nixes.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: They like were brother that lived together, like one of
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: them got adopted by one of them's parents.
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: Seventh round here was seventh round.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Did you talk about that in the interview? No, dude,
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: I had no idea. That's crazy.
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: So he actually lived with them for one of them
- 1:01:15Speaker 6: lived with them. Yeah, like I tes lived with the Knixes.
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: Yeah, with the Knixes.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: Yeah, like in high school.
- 1:01:20Speaker 7: He's like, yeah, that's what.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: And then he went to Temple or something like that.
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: Test did and then once Bo went to Oregon. Then
- 1:01:29Speaker 7: he went to Oregon too.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: That's amazing. Yeah, I had no idea a. Do you
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: think he'd be a good baseball manager? Oh, dude, easy, easy.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: Just from watching a lot of this postseason baseball, I
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: just feel like if I were the manager, I would
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: just tell these guys like, hey, well, don't swing so hard. Oh,
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: just barely hit the ball.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: You guys are strong. They every time they barely hit
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: the ball, it goes over the enfield. Base hit, I'd
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: how are you? I mean, easy, breezy, it was over
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: the infield, over the infield, hits that little gap in
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: between the shortstop and the outfielder. Dude, and it's like,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: all right, we're on base. Like why are they so hard?
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: I think you have a bright future ahead. Spit some
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: sunflower scens and be like, hey you got this butt. Hey,
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: don't swing so hard, pat him and the butt off
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: they go.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: I think one of the more interesting things about being
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: a baseball manager is it's so much analytics now yeah,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: and there's really not a lot of even need for
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: instant decisions.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: Baseball is not really an instant decision.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Sport football much more so is, and you can have
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: analytics built in.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: But plays, chick? Is that why they're always looking at
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: their little wristband, like, okay, Judge is up, like I
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: got moving my left is where I stand as an
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: out as an outfielder? Oh why they do that? I
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: thought where they look at the little notes on their hats. Yeah,
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: oh yeah, I'm sure. Uh yeah, I'd have to learn this.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: And I'm gonna be a manager. Guys, I don't know this.
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: I think the Yankees might be looking for one soon.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: I think you, dude, Okay, that's a good place to
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: start too. It's a little small team unknown. Did you
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: ride any of the rides? Oh yeah, I run a
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: lot of rides, man, But I gotta be dude. I
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: think I'm done. I think I'm done with the roller coasters.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Like I have four boys, and every time we go
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: to a park, it's like, let's go Dad, and I'm like,
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: let's go, and afterwards I'm like, my body can't take these.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: There was one called the Jolly Rancher Remix. Dude, it
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: was crazy. It went so it starts. It starts you
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: off going up. You go up like you're going straight up,
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: like you're gonna drop, but you don't drop. It lets
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: you go backwards. Then you do a little loopy loop.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: Then you go up on the other side, it stops,
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: gets higher, and then you go do it again. It's crazy.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: That's why it's the remix, because it goes forward and
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: then backwards. Got it. Do you think you'll be sore? Oh,
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: my neck will definitely. I'm already sore. Like my neck
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: I can't turn it all the way to the left,
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: like because and it's not even like I don't know
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: if it's my body or what, but like my brain
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: starts freaking out when I get on these roller coasters,
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Like there was this one that was all wood. It
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: felt like I was on a real train track and
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: I'm like, this thing's gonna break, like while we're on it,
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: this thing and I look back, my whole family's on here,
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: and like we're all gonna die. So the two minutes
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: that this ride is going, I'm thinking, this is it.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: It's over, and like I can't stop my brain from
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: thinking that my kid's gonna fall out. Is that tight enough?
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: This thing's kind of loose. My brain just goes crazy thinking, dude,
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: it's over on those roller coasters. So that's part of it.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: My body can't take it and my brain freaks out
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: while we're on roller coasters.
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: Not the best commercial for the Hershey Park.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: We're not doing it commercial for them. No one died, Yeah, yeah, man,
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: I was scared. We'll see next weekend at Hershey Park. Yeah, Tella,
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: Eddie told you at the.
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: Gate we got an interception bucks. Oh yeah, okay, what's
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: the thing on the ball back?
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: With five?
- 1:04:36Speaker 7: Forty five?
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: Left? Up?
- 1:04:37Speaker 6: Eight up?
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: Eight?
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: Okay, so it'd be better for his nine. Yes, it
- 1:04:42Speaker 6: would be better not to be.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Mister obvious, but it'd be way better if it was nine.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: All right, Hey, Mike, one question before we wrap. Yeah,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: I was reading that the Rocks movie not that they
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: ever expect the second week to be a monster. I
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: the first week wasn't, but it did even lesser than
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: the expectations were, and I was pretty excited about watching
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: that it's called the Sash Machine. It's a story of
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: a real guy, early UFC guy, Mark Herr.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: Why is it not working?
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: I don't think people are too familiar with him and
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: his story isn't compelling enough to drive people to want
- 1:05:16Speaker 8: to go watch a movie that they don't know anything
- 1:05:18Speaker 8: about the person.
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: Is the movie good?
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: The movie is good, and I think The Rock probably
- 1:05:23Speaker 8: played him like perfectly. But there's no reference point for me, Like,
- 1:05:27Speaker 8: I don't know what Mark Kerr was really like.
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: So have you seen the documentary?
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: I have not. There's a documentary Mark her Yeah.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: So yes, So I was with a guy I told
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: you maybe I told you he does Aerieljwane. Yes, he
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: said watch the documentary first in the movie if you're
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: gonna watch them.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: But he watched.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: He liked him, but that's his thing, UFC boxing, even
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: a bit of wrestling. So people just aren't familiar enough
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: with the story. So The Rock was good in it.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: He was really good.
- 1:05:55Speaker 8: Is this the first rock bomb and a Yeah? I
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: think in recent history it is. Because the movie costs
- 1:06:01Speaker 8: fifty million dollars to make. Opening weekend made six million dollars,
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: that's nothing. The Rock has millions of followers on Instagram.
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: The fact that it only made six million dollars is crazy,
- 1:06:11Speaker 8: but I don't think it's a loss to him yet.
- 1:06:13Speaker 8: If he can get an Oscar nomination, I think that
- 1:06:15Speaker 8: is worth it for him because I think that's why
- 1:06:17Speaker 8: he took this role, because it's more emotional. It's not
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: just your average like Okay, I'm gonna be the Rock
- 1:06:21Speaker 8: and I'm gonna be the action guy. Yeah, it's more
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: in depth, and he was like pretty convincing and like
- 1:06:28Speaker 8: him like crying and really getting that out there. Obviously
- 1:06:30Speaker 8: really good at the fighting scenes. But I think that's
- 1:06:33Speaker 8: why he did this movie because everybody's like the Rock
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: just does the same character over and over. Let me
- 1:06:37Speaker 8: show him a different side.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: And it can't be streamed yet. Not yet. Uh. They're
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: getting those out pretty quick though.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: I wish there was a gear where if the movie
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: just sucked to the box office to pull out, they
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: usually do it quicker.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: If it isn't, it's on Netflix now.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: If it came out yesterday, nobody went watch it today
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: on Amazon Prime.
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: If it bombs like this, they stick to like that
- 1:06:57Speaker 8: strict like forty five days, then it's out.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: Really Yeah.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Hm, I'll watched the documentary probably soon. Have you watched
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: or started season three of Alice in Borderlands?
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: I'm not sorry yet.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Now you're done with one and two? Right? Yes?
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I really liked one. I thought two was a little
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: little less than one. I loved one, okay, same, Do
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: you think two was a little less?
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: I think three. We've only watched one episode. I think three.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: It's going to be awesome. Okay with just one episode,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: and it's only six episodes total this season instead of eight. Yeah,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: it's I don't even want to ruin how they come
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: back because I don't want to spoil anything about anything
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: with the first two season. If you guys haven't watched
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: it yet. It was made at the same time a
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: squid game. Uh, squid Game is.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: The first squid game.
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: I think it was before it wasn't it.
- 1:07:41Speaker 6: They made him at the same time it came It
- 1:07:43Speaker 6: came out before, yes.
- 1:07:44Speaker 8: But barely like a few months so much other you
- 1:07:47Speaker 8: thought like, how did they rip this?
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: Yes?
- 1:07:49Speaker 8: Oh dang, yes, But the guy who made squid Game
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: made it like ten years before it even came out,
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: like he had that idea.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Okay, we're done, I'm gonna watch the documentary. I think
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: maybe even tonight. I'm not sure what's service it's on,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: but I'm gonna look for that. I get it, and
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: then I want to watch the movie. Okay, what a show.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I gotta say. When we do these on Sunday nights,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: do you like it?
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: They're better? Yeah, they are better. We've been awake for
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: a while well, and.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: We're not exhausted from getting up early and working all day.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: I know it's probably I don't know to you guys,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: which one you prefer, because it's like taking a part
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: of a day off.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: That we have to come and do this. But I
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: think the shows are better.
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: And then yeah, agreed, so and.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: We're gonna do whatever is better, So let's do this.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: I never maybe not, I never want to take you
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: guys out, not everyone. I don't know about you guys,
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: but I love doing work on the weekend.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: But it's we have to we stay at work less
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: on my No, that's true, you know, So say something,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: think about something. All Right, we're out, you guys, have
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: a great rest of the week, and we will see
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: you later on this week. All right, goodbye, everybody, I guess.
