- 0:36Speaker 1: Good morning, and welcome to Matters of the Heart Series
- 0:41Speaker 1: number three. Listen, you guys, if you miss parts one
- 0:46Speaker 1: into I don't know what you were doing, honestly, because
- 0:51Speaker 1: Matters of the Heart is something that each and every
- 0:53Speaker 1: one of us deals with. We go through the healing,
- 0:56Speaker 1: we have to figure out what our alignment is. We
- 0:59Speaker 1: get in by the things that we've gone through. We
- 1:02Speaker 1: understand the resilience of what we have to continue forth
- 1:06Speaker 1: with the mission that God has placed us on, and
- 1:10Speaker 1: we go through trauma. So we're gonna talk about every
- 1:13Speaker 1: one of these matters that deal directly with the heart.
- 1:17Speaker 1: So if you miss one and two, you're in a
- 1:20Speaker 1: treat for part three today. But I do want to
- 1:23Speaker 1: recommend that you go back and watch parts one and
- 1:26Speaker 1: two and you'll come full circle and you'll be up
- 1:29Speaker 1: to date with everything that we got going on. So,
- 1:32Speaker 1: but before we do any and any of that, we
- 1:35Speaker 1: definitely have to go to God in prayer because without
- 1:38Speaker 1: Him we are nothing, but with Him we are everything.
- 1:41Speaker 1: So let's go to God in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father,
- 1:44Speaker 1: thank you for bringing us together as you do each
- 1:47Speaker 1: and every time we're in front of you. Let the
- 1:49Speaker 1: words of our mouths fall upon the ears that need
- 1:51Speaker 1: to hear. Let them take what they need from us
- 1:55Speaker 1: and the things that we've been through. Let this be
- 1:57Speaker 1: a seed and a vessel so that they know that
- 2:00Speaker 1: they can come out of anything that they've been put in.
- 2:04Speaker 1: That you have the power to bring them out if
- 2:07Speaker 1: they would surrender whatever it is over to you, because
- 2:10Speaker 1: you have the power to sustain us in each and
- 2:14Speaker 1: everything that we are tested through, because if we can't
- 2:17Speaker 1: be tested, we will never have a testimony. We walk
- 2:21Speaker 1: through grace, We walk through everything that you've put in
- 2:24Speaker 1: front of us. Our path is directed by you. You
- 2:27Speaker 1: know what the purpose is for each and everything that
- 2:30Speaker 1: we go through. So let the words of the mouths
- 2:33Speaker 1: of the women that are going to be speaking today,
- 2:35Speaker 1: let it fall upon the ears that need to hear.
- 2:38Speaker 1: If it doesn't apply to them, may they use it
- 2:40Speaker 1: to give it over to someone else. Let us be
- 2:44Speaker 1: the overflow for someone else. And your precious and holy name, Jesus,
- 2:48Speaker 1: we pray. Amen. We have some wonderful women that are
- 2:55Speaker 1: going to come to you this morning, and they're going
- 2:59Speaker 1: to be talking about healing. With healing, we have Miss
- 3:02Speaker 1: Alma Thomas, with empowerment, We have Miss Danielle with alignment
- 3:07Speaker 1: that is none other than Queen Angela. And with resilience,
- 3:11Speaker 1: we have Unique Parker, and with trauma no more Miss
- 3:16Speaker 1: Monique Duels. So these wonderful ladies are going to talk
- 3:20Speaker 1: to you about these specific topics. However, their topics are
- 3:26Speaker 1: actually going to tie into each and every one of
- 3:29Speaker 1: these matters of the heart, so you'll be able to
- 3:33Speaker 1: understand why it is so important for us to talk
- 3:36Speaker 1: about these matters, because when you are able to talk
- 3:40Speaker 1: about it, you're able to heal from the things that
- 3:42Speaker 1: you've been going through in your life. One of those
- 3:46Speaker 1: things that we can easily get distracted and down and
- 3:51Speaker 1: stay in that place, but God never wants you to
- 3:54Speaker 1: stay in a place where you're just down and out.
- 3:57Speaker 1: He puts you in situations to understand that what's deep
- 4:00Speaker 1: down inside of you is going to take you to
- 4:03Speaker 1: the next level. When you pray and ask God for something,
- 4:06Speaker 1: he's going to see how bad do you want it?
- 4:08Speaker 1: By putting you through certain things to see if you're
- 4:11Speaker 1: going to be able to get out of it, He's
- 4:13Speaker 1: already placed in us what we need to get to
- 4:17Speaker 1: our next level. But we have to be willing to
- 4:20Speaker 1: go through it to see just what we are capable
- 4:24Speaker 1: of overcoming, because you can overcome anything if you trust
- 4:28Speaker 1: in God's will for your life, because He designed you
- 4:32Speaker 1: for a purpose. He designed you for a mission. And
- 4:36Speaker 1: so when you are walking with God, you understand that
- 4:39Speaker 1: everything that you are going through has a purpose. It
- 4:43Speaker 1: is like little puzzle pieces that fit together to design
- 4:47Speaker 1: the purpose of which you were created. And when you
- 4:50Speaker 1: put those puzzle pieces together, and when you look back
- 4:53Speaker 1: over the things that you have gone through, you understand
- 4:56Speaker 1: why that piece didn't fit at that spot because it
- 4:58Speaker 1: wasn't supposed to spit fit right then. But when you
- 5:02Speaker 1: start looking back, you like, oh God, that makes a
- 5:04Speaker 1: whole lot of sense now, because it didn't make sense
- 5:07Speaker 1: when you were going through The pain didn't make sense
- 5:10Speaker 1: when you were going through it. None of it made sense.
- 5:13Speaker 1: But God said, if you trust me, I got you,
- 5:17Speaker 1: and I'm gonna walk you through it. Just trust me.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I'm not putting anything on you that I didn't know
- 5:23Speaker 1: that you were capable of coming out of. So I'm
- 5:26Speaker 1: gonna be quiet for just a little bit, and I'm
- 5:29Speaker 1: gonna bring up Miss Alma, and she's gonna talk to
- 5:32Speaker 1: us about healing, But I thank you guys for being
- 5:35Speaker 1: with us this morning.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Good morning, Good morning, Travia. How are you doing.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I'm good, How are you?
- 5:43Speaker 2: I am excellent. Amen.
- 5:45Speaker 3: So this morning I'm gonna talk about healing, but first
- 5:49Speaker 3: of all, I want to thank everybody for being here,
- 5:53Speaker 3: for showing up do a workshop or speech like this,
- 5:58Speaker 3: because this this is not always easy. Sometimes admitting we've
- 6:04Speaker 3: been heard feels like pulling off the band aid, pulling
- 6:09Speaker 3: the covers off a wound we work so hard to hide.
- 6:14Speaker 3: So I honor your courage on today acknowledging the reality
- 6:21Speaker 3: of trauma. Before we heal from trauma, we must first
- 6:28Speaker 3: admit that we've been through something. Trauma is not just
- 6:33Speaker 3: what happens to us, is what happens inside of us.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Because what happened to us. It can come from.
- 6:43Speaker 3: A single man, a loss, an accident, a betrayal, or
- 6:49Speaker 3: it can be layered over years from abuse, neglect, or
- 6:55Speaker 3: constant instability. Trauma changes the way we see ourselves, others,
- 7:03Speaker 3: and even God. As I was going through my period
- 7:09Speaker 3: of healing from the death of my son, I had
- 7:16Speaker 3: to first admit that.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I was mad, mad at God, mad at people.
- 7:26Speaker 3: That still had ded children, and I had to admit
- 7:31Speaker 3: that I needed to be healed. I needed to forgive myself.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I needed to.
- 7:41Speaker 3: I understand that God makes no mistakes, but when you
- 7:44Speaker 3: are going through drama, in order for you to yield,
- 7:50Speaker 3: you have to admit that you have a problem. If
- 7:54Speaker 3: you don't admit that you have a problem, you cannot ill.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Many of us carry wounds that others can't see. You know,
- 8:07Speaker 3: the conduct don't believe we're still ache every single day.
- 8:15Speaker 3: We learned to smile when we're breaking, to say I'm
- 8:20Speaker 3: fine when we're not, and to push through. What we
- 8:24Speaker 3: want to do is stop and breathe. I remember when
- 8:31Speaker 3: people were asking me, how are you doing, You're so strong,
- 8:35Speaker 3: and I would say I'm fine. During the day, I
- 8:39Speaker 3: would go about my daily duties, laughing and joking. But
- 8:45Speaker 3: in the midnight hours, when I was home, all by
- 8:48Speaker 3: my soul, I would cry myself to sleep.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I was silently hurting.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Trying to hide the try, trying to hide the pain.
- 9:05Speaker 3: I even had to forgive myself every night for acting
- 9:11Speaker 3: like everything was all right. I would say at night,
- 9:18Speaker 3: how can I laugh when my son is dead? How
- 9:23Speaker 3: can I go on like nothing happened? This is killing
- 9:29Speaker 3: me inside, yet on the outside I was smiling. Trauma
- 9:36Speaker 3: can steal our sense of safety.
- 9:40Speaker 2: It can make.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Joy feel foreign and trust risky and get Here's what
- 9:48Speaker 3: I want to remember. Trauma may have shaped part of
- 9:52Speaker 3: your story, but it does not have to be the
- 9:58Speaker 3: final word over your story. Your current situation is not
- 10:05Speaker 3: your final destination. I didn't have to stay in grief.
- 10:13Speaker 3: I had to admit to myself that I was grieving,
- 10:20Speaker 3: That grieving was showing up in parts of my body,
- 10:26Speaker 3: and stress and high blood pressure and depression. All of
- 10:33Speaker 3: that was my trauma showing up the healing process. Healing
- 10:42Speaker 3: is not quick and it's not lineal. It's not a
- 10:46Speaker 3: straight path.
- 10:48Speaker 2: You know.
- 10:49Speaker 3: When I went to college, I studied the stages of
- 10:52Speaker 3: grief on Wow, it looks so easy. Are you're going
- 10:56Speaker 3: through something. You're gonna go through denial, You're gonna go
- 11:00Speaker 3: through anger, and you're gonna go through depression, and yo,
- 11:06Speaker 3: finally you're gonna get to acceptance and everything is gonna
- 11:10Speaker 3: be all right.
- 11:12Speaker 2: But wait a minute.
- 11:14Speaker 3: When I went through the depth of my son, it
- 11:17Speaker 3: didn't go on a street line like that. One day
- 11:22Speaker 3: I was in denial. This is a nightmare. I wanna
- 11:27Speaker 3: wake up. This didn't happen to me. I'm not burying
- 11:31Speaker 3: my son when I should be sending him off to college.
- 11:37Speaker 3: And then the next day I would be an acceptance.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Oh you know, God doesn't make any mistakes. To be
- 11:45Speaker 3: absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
- 11:48Speaker 3: But then I would go right back to being angry again.
- 11:52Speaker 3: And I'm saying, wait a minute. When I was in college,
- 11:55Speaker 3: it seemed so easy. Step one, step two, step three,
- 11:58Speaker 3: step four, and five, and you're you're over it, You're
- 12:02Speaker 3: accepted now and you go on.
- 12:04Speaker 2: But why is that not happening in my heart? Why
- 12:09Speaker 2: am I going back and forth?
- 12:11Speaker 3: Because it's not lineal, it's not step one, step two,
- 12:16Speaker 3: step three, step four.
- 12:17Speaker 2: But the important part for.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Your healing is that you can't stay stagnant in any part.
- 12:25Speaker 3: I realize that there are people who will go who
- 12:27Speaker 3: went through the lords of a child that end up
- 12:31Speaker 3: in a mental hospital. Because if you don't heal and
- 12:36Speaker 3: you stay in one part, you stay depressed, you stay
- 12:40Speaker 3: in bed, you stay not wanting to do your usual activity,
- 12:46Speaker 3: then you can't heal. And once you can't heal, you
- 12:51Speaker 3: might go crazy end up in a mental and if
- 12:55Speaker 3: you don't end up in a mental institution, you end
- 12:59Speaker 3: up in a ment and spiritual mental institution.
- 13:07Speaker 2: One day.
- 13:07Speaker 3: It's not a straight path where one day we wake
- 13:11Speaker 3: up and everything is fine. Healing is a journey. Sometimes
- 13:16Speaker 3: you step forward and one step backwards.
- 13:20Speaker 2: But I came here this wanting to tell you that's okay.
- 13:25Speaker 2: There are days when your progress.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Would be quiet, like when you finally sleep through the
- 13:32Speaker 3: night after the death of my son. I could have
- 13:37Speaker 3: got hooked on drugs because I couldn't go at sleep,
- 13:41Speaker 3: but I told myself, oh, you're not on drugs because
- 13:45Speaker 3: this is just talano PM. But I needed talano PM
- 13:50Speaker 3: every night to sleep. So when I finally was able
- 13:58Speaker 3: to sleep one night without taking a talanoyl PM, that
- 14:04Speaker 3: was one step towards healing. I celebrated in the morning
- 14:10Speaker 3: when I woke up. I was like, thank you Jesus.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I fell asleep without the talano tonight, and then maybe
- 14:18Speaker 3: the next night that I needed to talanoal again. But
- 14:21Speaker 3: then when I didn't take it again, that was another
- 14:25Speaker 3: step until finally I could go to sleep without the
- 14:29Speaker 3: talanol PM. And there are days when your healing will
- 14:34Speaker 3: be loud, when you tell your story why doubt tears
- 14:40Speaker 3: for the first time, or when you realize you can
- 14:45Speaker 3: laugh again and mean it. When I stopped crying through
- 14:53Speaker 3: the night, when I stopped being mad at myself for living,
- 15:01Speaker 3: when I asked God, I said, I had to come
- 15:04Speaker 3: to the realization because I asked God one morning, I said, God,
- 15:10Speaker 3: why didn't you take me? It me and my father
- 15:14Speaker 3: got a relationship. He said, I didn't take you because
- 15:19Speaker 3: you wasn't ready. There were some things in your life.
- 15:23Speaker 3: There was some unforgiveness in your life. Your son, he
- 15:27Speaker 3: was ready, but you wasn't ready. If I took you,
- 15:32Speaker 3: you wouldn't be with me. I was like, Wow, I've
- 15:36Speaker 3: been saved for like twenty years and you're telling me God,
- 15:40Speaker 3: I wasn't ready. Got to you got to release some
- 15:44Speaker 3: unforgivenness in your art. You're still holding people that hurt
- 15:49Speaker 3: you when you was in kindergarten. You're still thinking about
- 15:55Speaker 3: those kids who didn't pick you in sixth grade. You
- 16:01Speaker 3: still thinking about those boys that used to call you Faddy.
- 16:10Speaker 3: That little girl inside of you is still holding unforgiveness.
- 16:16Speaker 3: And if you want to be with me, you have
- 16:18Speaker 3: to forgive them. Oh not for them Forgiveness is not
- 16:24Speaker 3: for the ones that hurt you. Forgiveness is for you
- 16:31Speaker 3: so you can be free. Sometimes you're holding unforgiveness in
- 16:35Speaker 3: your heart and they going on with life like they
- 16:39Speaker 3: never hurt you. They might not even remember in fifth
- 16:44Speaker 3: grade when they called you stow up girl, because one
- 16:48Speaker 3: day you threw up and for the whole elementary school
- 16:53Speaker 3: years you was known as stow up girl. But they
- 16:57Speaker 3: were five and they grew up. But you are still
- 17:01Speaker 3: stagnant in that place because you refuse to heal. You
- 17:07Speaker 3: thought of.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Your soul a stir I'm girl.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Faith and hope psb'ms thirty four in eighteen says the
- 17:19Speaker 3: Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those
- 17:24Speaker 3: who are chusting spirit. I believe that God does not
- 17:30Speaker 3: abandon us in our pain. He meets us there, He
- 17:35Speaker 3: walks with us still the valley. He doesn't promise that
- 17:40Speaker 3: life will never hurt again, but he does promise that
- 17:46Speaker 3: our pain wouldn't be wasted. One of the ways in
- 17:50Speaker 3: which I healed is because I started to thank God
- 17:57Speaker 3: for my trials and tribulation. Said, I didn't go through
- 18:01Speaker 3: all of this for nothing. I didn't lose my child
- 18:07Speaker 3: for nothing. I didn't go through a fire for nothing.
- 18:14Speaker 3: I didn't get divorced for nothing. And lastly, if you
- 18:20Speaker 3: realize that I'm laying down and you thought maybe I
- 18:24Speaker 3: didn't get up for this workshop, no no. I suffered
- 18:30Speaker 3: a massive stroke in twenty twenty one, but I didn't
- 18:37Speaker 3: let any of that stop me because God told me
- 18:41Speaker 3: the pain was necessary for me to see the pain
- 18:45Speaker 3: and others.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Now, when others are going.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Through being stagnant in their healing stage, I can tell them,
- 18:57Speaker 3: You're gonna be all right. If you stood in the
- 19:02Speaker 3: cemetery and lowered your son into the ground one of
- 19:06Speaker 3: the darkest days of your life, God will still be
- 19:10Speaker 3: with you. If you went through being homeless, God will
- 19:16Speaker 3: still be with you. You can still make it through
- 19:22Speaker 3: being married and getting a divorce. And less of all,
- 19:26Speaker 3: you can still make it through a stroke. Because you
- 19:31Speaker 3: know what I learned how to do. I learned how
- 19:34Speaker 3: to embrace the things that I can still do and
- 19:38Speaker 3: accept the things that I can't do. God has used
- 19:44Speaker 3: me right here from my bed, right in the place
- 19:50Speaker 3: where the enemy told me my healing was over. He said, ah,
- 19:55Speaker 3: you jump back here. You bounce back from the death
- 19:59Speaker 3: of your son. You bounce back from that fire. Ah,
- 20:03Speaker 3: you even bounce back from that divorce. But can you
- 20:07Speaker 3: bounce back when your body's being afflicted? Can you bounce
- 20:12Speaker 3: back when these old legs don't move anymore? Can you
- 20:16Speaker 3: bounce back? Can you say that you've been healed? And
- 20:20Speaker 3: I said yes, I said because see, the one thing
- 20:28Speaker 3: that you didn't affect is my voice. I can still speak.
- 20:35Speaker 3: I can still tell the glory of God in my
- 20:41Speaker 3: healing process. After my stroke, when the enemy told me
- 20:46Speaker 3: it was over, that my healing was over. After that,
- 20:53Speaker 3: I wrote four books on one hand with one finger.
- 21:00Speaker 3: After that, I got my master's degree in theology last year,
- 21:06Speaker 3: and now this year I'm teaching at the same school
- 21:11Speaker 3: that I went to.
- 21:13Speaker 2: And the enemy said.
- 21:14Speaker 3: It was over. He said, my healing was over. But
- 21:17Speaker 3: I accepted the things that I cannot do. And then
- 21:22Speaker 3: some practical steps. Healing means giving yourself to breathe, yourself
- 21:29Speaker 3: permission to breathe and rest without guilt, speak your truth
- 21:35Speaker 3: without shame, seek help without feeling weak. And see, that's
- 21:42Speaker 3: one thing that happens in the African American community.
- 21:48Speaker 2: See, we was look taught from.
- 21:50Speaker 3: A young age that what happens in this house stays
- 21:55Speaker 3: in this house. What you're going through you don't share
- 21:59Speaker 3: with no And if you remember of the ministry, it's
- 22:05Speaker 3: even harder because this saying you got God, you don't
- 22:11Speaker 3: need therapy, but God in therapy goes hand in hand.
- 22:16Speaker 3: I had to seek therapy for my healing because I
- 22:21Speaker 3: didn't understand while I was why I wasn't grieving and
- 22:26Speaker 3: a line why I wasn't grieving step by step. So
- 22:30Speaker 3: I had to go see a professional. And it's all right,
- 22:35Speaker 3: it's okay not to be okay. I came by here
- 22:39Speaker 3: this wanting to tell you if you're not okay, if
- 22:43Speaker 3: you find yourself stagnant in your healing process, reach out,
- 22:48Speaker 3: reach out to someone. It's okay. You can still pray.
- 22:53Speaker 3: I prayed that that therapist had to answer. I prayed
- 22:57Speaker 3: that that therapist could help me. I prayed that I
- 23:01Speaker 3: wouldn't stay stagnant and being depressed. I pray that I,
- 23:06Speaker 3: after all that I've been through, all the illing pos
- 23:10Speaker 3: that I've been through, I prayed that I wouldn't get stuck.
- 23:15Speaker 3: I prayed, and I suck help And it's okay not
- 23:21Speaker 3: to be okay. And yes, sometimes feeling means forgiven, not
- 23:28Speaker 3: to excuse what happened, but just the sensual self free
- 23:35Speaker 3: from what happened to you. You are not what happened
- 23:40Speaker 3: to you. You are not the sum of your wounds.
- 23:45Speaker 3: You are a survivor. Yes, you are an overcomer, but
- 23:50Speaker 3: even more than that, you are a person worthy of peace,
- 23:56Speaker 3: love and wholeness.
- 23:58Speaker 2: The soul is.
- 24:01Speaker 3: I invite you to take one step, just one step,
- 24:07Speaker 3: towards your healing, because every small step matters. And one day, well,
- 24:16Speaker 3: one day, very soon you look back over your life
- 24:23Speaker 3: you realize that you're not living, only just living, but
- 24:29Speaker 3: you're living a life that God dostn't you to live.
- 24:34Speaker 2: God bless everybody.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Thank you, Miss Alma for that, and that was truly,
- 24:45Speaker 1: truly amazing. People don't understand that you have to first
- 24:50Speaker 1: acknowledge what you've gone through in order to begin that
- 24:54Speaker 1: healing process. You have to be acknowledgeable of what you experienced.
- 25:00Speaker 1: The experience is what you lived through, and acknowledging that
- 25:05Speaker 1: brings you to the beginning stages of healing. And you
- 25:09Speaker 1: said something that touched open something I did yesterday with
- 25:16Speaker 1: my grieving process and of my mom forgiving those people
- 25:25Speaker 1: who called you names as a little girl was one
- 25:27Speaker 1: of those things that you know, I acknowledged yesterday when
- 25:32Speaker 1: I made my post about what I was feeling, because
- 25:36Speaker 1: grief is one of those things that it doesn't come
- 25:39Speaker 1: in a straight line. It comes in waves, and you
- 25:41Speaker 1: adjust day by day and moment by moment with the
- 25:45Speaker 1: grieving process. And I was talking about the healing of
- 25:51Speaker 1: my relationship with my mom before she passed, and I
- 25:55Speaker 1: was able to realize that my Mom's passing and us
- 26:02Speaker 1: healing that relationship through the ups and downs that we
- 26:06Speaker 1: went through before she passed, she allowed that little girl
- 26:10Speaker 1: in me to be healed. So the woman that I
- 26:14Speaker 1: am now and the woman that I've been been becoming
- 26:17Speaker 1: since she's not here are two totally different people. And
- 26:23Speaker 1: also acknowledging the fact that whatever happens in this house
- 26:27Speaker 1: stays in this house. That has gone out the window
- 26:30Speaker 1: for me. I speak on what happened to me and
- 26:34Speaker 1: whoever doesn't like it because family doesn't always know what
- 26:38Speaker 1: goes on behind the closed doors when they're not around.
- 26:41Speaker 1: They only see what's being presented to them at the time,
- 26:45Speaker 1: and so what happened to me behind closed doors, I'm
- 26:49Speaker 1: bringing to the forefront You don't have to like it,
- 26:52Speaker 1: you don't have to agree with it. But it's my
- 26:55Speaker 1: experience and you don't get to diminish my experience because
- 26:58Speaker 1: it wasn't what you experience. And so I make no
- 27:02Speaker 1: apologies for bringing forth what happened to me now. And
- 27:06Speaker 1: so I think people are going to understand and get
- 27:09Speaker 1: from this is that you can be in a situation
- 27:14Speaker 1: with family and just because it happened in that house,
- 27:18Speaker 1: it does not have to stay in that house. If
- 27:20Speaker 1: it's hurting, you speak on it. Let people know that
- 27:23Speaker 1: you went through this. You're not hurt any longer because
- 27:27Speaker 1: of what you went through. It has built you into
- 27:30Speaker 1: the stronger version that you are. And healing is one
- 27:34Speaker 1: thing that we all have to do to get to
- 27:37Speaker 1: those next levels that God has us. And it brings
- 27:41Speaker 1: me to a point to say this, in your brokenness,
- 27:44Speaker 1: God brought you to boldness and that's where we are
- 27:48Speaker 1: right now. We're walking in the boldness because we've been broken.
- 27:52Speaker 1: He broke us in order to build us into being
- 27:56Speaker 1: bold and stepping forth into what it is that we've
- 27:59Speaker 1: been destined to do. You had to be broken, and
- 28:03Speaker 1: God knew that he was going to use your broken
- 28:06Speaker 1: number one, to bring you closer to him. Number two,
- 28:09Speaker 1: to have someone else be see what you've gone through,
- 28:13Speaker 1: to bring you out in the forefront. Because I had
- 28:17Speaker 1: a stroke myself, I lost my ability to speak and
- 28:21Speaker 1: use the left side of my body. But Man told
- 28:24Speaker 1: me to get used to that, and God told me
- 28:28Speaker 1: I didn't have to get used to them, and I
- 28:30Speaker 1: didn't have to get used to being in that position.
- 28:34Speaker 1: God said, I have more for you if you trust me,
- 28:37Speaker 1: If you trust me to bring you through the next level.
- 28:41Speaker 1: It may not always look good, it may not always
- 28:44Speaker 1: feel good. But if you continue to trust me, I'm
- 28:47Speaker 1: gonna bring you out of where you are and bring
- 28:51Speaker 1: you forth to the people that need to hear you.
- 28:53Speaker 1: You have not always been in the background. You've just
- 28:56Speaker 1: been unseen to the eyes that didn't need to see you.
- 28:59Speaker 1: But when it's time for you to be seen and
- 29:01Speaker 1: be heard, you will be seen and you will be heard.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Everybody is not meant to see you, and everybody is
- 29:08Speaker 1: not meant to hear you. But the ones that I
- 29:10Speaker 1: call forth for you to be seen and heard by,
- 29:13Speaker 1: you will always be seen and heard by in the
- 29:15Speaker 1: time and in which I have set forth for us.
- 29:18Speaker 1: So I thank you so much for your inside, your understanding,
- 29:24Speaker 1: your journey, your role to discovering your purpose. Because just
- 29:29Speaker 1: because you are in a space to where your physical
- 29:32Speaker 1: body doesn't move in the way that you wanted to,
- 29:35Speaker 1: your spiritual body touches people in ways you probably never
- 29:39Speaker 1: even imagine until you started walking closer with God, and
- 29:43Speaker 1: you touch people beyond what you even know. They may
- 29:46Speaker 1: not ever say anything to you, because some people don't
- 29:49Speaker 1: want to know want you to know that they are
- 29:52Speaker 1: touched by what you doing because they still are ashamed
- 29:55Speaker 1: of what it is that they're going through. So until
- 29:58Speaker 1: they make peace with whatever it is that they're going through,
- 30:02Speaker 1: they're gonna always be in the background and say, I
- 30:05Speaker 1: don't want her to know, but she inspires me. So
- 30:08Speaker 1: just continue to be the blessing that you are to
- 30:12Speaker 1: everybody that you come in contact with, because those people
- 30:16Speaker 1: are needed by you. You bless us, You bless me
- 30:19Speaker 1: in more ways than I think you even know. And
- 30:22Speaker 1: I'm grateful for the honor and the connection that God
- 30:25Speaker 1: has connected our past and we continue to grow and
- 30:29Speaker 1: be one in the fellowship of God. So it's a
- 30:36Speaker 1: beautiful thing when you start going through healing and everybody
- 30:40Speaker 1: has to acknowledge your pain is for a purpose. God
- 30:45Speaker 1: ain't gonna put you through nothing if he ain't got
- 30:47Speaker 1: a if he ain't got a plan for it. I
- 30:51Speaker 1: almost say it that way, because God ain't gonna push
- 30:54Speaker 1: you through nothing that he don't have a plan to
- 30:57Speaker 1: let you know that this is why I put you
- 30:59Speaker 1: through this. I got something for it. You may not
- 31:03Speaker 1: understand it, and it may be detrimental. It may change
- 31:06Speaker 1: your life in a way you never imagine. And I
- 31:09Speaker 1: always tell people my stroke for me was a gift
- 31:12Speaker 1: and a curse, and people don't understand that because had
- 31:16Speaker 1: I not gone through what I went through, I would
- 31:19Speaker 1: not be who I am. I would not be speaking
- 31:22Speaker 1: in front of people right now because this ain't something
- 31:27Speaker 1: now I saw myself doing in any capacity. But God
- 31:31Speaker 1: has shown me visions of things that I'm going to
- 31:35Speaker 1: be doing. I just have to get out of my
- 31:37Speaker 1: own way and say, Okay, God, I trust you. I
- 31:40Speaker 1: don't know what it is, but I'm gonna trust you
- 31:43Speaker 1: because you have gone forth and you set the past.
- 31:46Speaker 1: And yes, it's gonna be some valleys, it's gonna be
- 31:48Speaker 1: some dark days, it's gonna be some hard things that
- 31:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna feel like I can't get over, but if
- 31:54Speaker 1: I keep holding onto your hand, I know you're gonna
- 31:57Speaker 1: take me through to the next step. So thank you
- 32:00Speaker 1: you so much, miss Alma. I really really have been
- 32:03Speaker 1: touched by what you said today, Tarvida.
- 32:06Speaker 4: Before we go, before we go in each other. Unique
- 32:11Speaker 4: she just she just got a message that her niece
- 32:14Speaker 4: passed away. So we're gonna keep her in prayer. But
- 32:19Speaker 4: yet she's trying to she said, she's trying to get
- 32:21Speaker 4: back on. But I have Shaniya here that can sub
- 32:26Speaker 4: for her if we can pray for her really quick.
- 32:31Speaker 4: Because the reason why Unique was even doing resists is
- 32:35Speaker 4: because since I met her a year ago, this lady
- 32:38Speaker 4: has lost. For the whole twelve months that I've known her,
- 32:42Speaker 4: every month she's lost somebody in her family. And there
- 32:45Speaker 4: was one month where she lost almost six people. Oh
- 32:48Speaker 4: it seemed like every every other week she was going
- 32:51Speaker 4: to a service, having to go to a homegoing. And
- 32:54Speaker 4: I have watched her be strong, I have watched her
- 32:57Speaker 4: keep pressing. I've watched her to continue to run, her
- 32:59Speaker 4: be continue to do all the things that she's doing,
- 33:02Speaker 4: and I just want us to lift her up in
- 33:05Speaker 4: prayer really quick as she figure out what's going on
- 33:10Speaker 4: behind the scenes. And again she may be back. Not
- 33:14Speaker 4: sure if she's gonna make it back, but she said
- 33:16Speaker 4: she was trying to get back on.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Okay, Miss Alma, you want to pray?
- 33:25Speaker 3: Uh did haven my father and the pressious name of
- 33:31Speaker 3: your son, Jesus, We come to you this morning, praying
- 33:37Speaker 3: for ideas to the God that you touch your mind
- 33:43Speaker 3: to touch your heart. Did you give her the strength
- 33:49Speaker 3: to continue? Hallelujah. God, You're able to do anything that
- 33:57Speaker 3: fails but fail. You can give up the security on
- 34:01Speaker 3: this morning. You can rock her in your arms like
- 34:05Speaker 3: nobody else can. We ask you to take care of
- 34:09Speaker 3: your daughter on this morning. Give us strength.
- 34:13Speaker 2: God, You know the.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Things that her and her family are in need of
- 34:18Speaker 3: at this moment.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Grant her those things.
- 34:22Speaker 3: God, give them a peace that surpasses all understanding. We
- 34:29Speaker 3: don't understanding. God, We don't know your ways. Your ways
- 34:36Speaker 3: are your ways, but you don't make any mistakes. Everything
- 34:42Speaker 3: is for a purpose and a reason. Remember your daughter
- 34:47Speaker 3: on this morning. Comfort her even now. God, even now, God,
- 34:55Speaker 3: we ask that you comfort the family.
- 34:59Speaker 2: You be with them.
- 35:00Speaker 3: God, I know hallelujah that your word says that you'll
- 35:05Speaker 3: never leave us or forsaken.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Oh, that you're there for the broken hearted. That morning
- 35:15Speaker 2: only lasted for a while. We've been only and there
- 35:20Speaker 2: us for a moment.
- 35:22Speaker 3: But joy will come in the morning. God, be there,
- 35:29Speaker 3: rocking in your arms. Oh, I'm just wanting I understand.
- 35:35Speaker 3: I understand the pain. I can feel the pain right now.
- 35:41Speaker 5: God.
- 35:42Speaker 3: But only you, God, only you can ease that pain.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Only you can ease that hurting in her heart. Be
- 35:50Speaker 3: there for the family. God, even when in the midnight hour,
- 35:55Speaker 3: when everybody's going home to their own individual home, be there,
- 36:00Speaker 3: Rock of God, be there like nobody else can. In
- 36:06Speaker 3: the precious name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Amen, Amen, Lord, you know what's going on more than
- 36:19Speaker 1: we do. We thank you for everything that you are
- 36:24Speaker 1: doing right now. We don't understand it, but we trust you.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Up next, y'all, we have Miss Danielle. She's gonna talk
- 36:32Speaker 1: to us about empowerment. That is a thing I think
- 36:37Speaker 1: most of us gonna understand that we have in this life.
- 36:41Speaker 1: But Miss Danielle, You're.
- 36:44Speaker 6: Okay.
- 36:44Speaker 5: Thank you all just so much for this opportunity to
- 36:47Speaker 5: be here. I'm not sure if I'm frozen or if
- 36:49Speaker 5: there's a delay regarding my camera, but regardless, as long
- 36:52Speaker 5: as you can hear me, we're just gonna keep moving forward.
- 36:55Speaker 5: And as I was just kind of picking this topic
- 36:59Speaker 5: and just say, thinking about empowerment, I'm like, how can
- 37:01Speaker 5: you empower someone when they've lost so much, when the
- 37:05Speaker 5: world has been turned upside down, when you know, just
- 37:08Speaker 5: it seems like things are never going to get better.
- 37:10Speaker 5: We talked about, you know, facing one loss after another,
- 37:14Speaker 5: loss after another loss, but just hearing just so far
- 37:18Speaker 5: as you've just been speaking, all of us providing empowerment
- 37:21Speaker 5: to those that are listening. And so when I looked
- 37:23Speaker 5: up the definition of empowerment, it says the process of
- 37:26Speaker 5: becoming stronger and becoming more confident, of reclaiming your life.
- 37:31Speaker 5: And just thinking about to empower someone is to encourage
- 37:34Speaker 5: them to provide hope. And that's what we're all doing today,
- 37:37Speaker 5: and that's what we need. And I was thinking about
- 37:40Speaker 5: how for me, you know, I'm an introvert, I keep
- 37:43Speaker 5: to myself, I'm an only child, And think about how
- 37:45Speaker 5: sometimes it's so easy when we go to church, even
- 37:48Speaker 5: if we go to church every single Sunday for twenty
- 37:50Speaker 5: years and how sometimes it's easy to slip in and
- 37:52Speaker 5: out and a lot of times we need that empowerment
- 37:55Speaker 5: and sometimes we don't get it. And yet I'm like, Okay,
- 37:59Speaker 5: so how can power how can encourage others? And just
- 38:02Speaker 5: realizing that sometimes we don't always get that empowerment that
- 38:05Speaker 5: we need from others. We'd always get that encouraging word,
- 38:07Speaker 5: that support that we so long for and that we
- 38:11Speaker 5: so need. But then in that we can empower ourselves
- 38:15Speaker 5: and we can help others on that journey. And so
- 38:17Speaker 5: there was a quote that I came across reesonness is
- 38:20Speaker 5: you know, I don't want what someone else has, and
- 38:23Speaker 5: it's regarding loss, I just want what I have lost.
- 38:26Speaker 5: And I just had to kind of sit with that
- 38:28Speaker 5: statement because thinking that in the midst of loss and
- 38:31Speaker 5: grief and trauma, sometimes it's not always what some wanting
- 38:34Speaker 5: what someone else has. Maybe it's that house, maybe it's
- 38:37Speaker 5: having your child back, Maybe it's having that job that
- 38:40Speaker 5: was really good, that relationship that you felt like that
- 38:42Speaker 5: was going to go the distance, whatever it might be
- 38:45Speaker 5: that you're longing for, It's like you just want what
- 38:47Speaker 5: you've lost, And yet in that it's a blessing because
- 38:51Speaker 5: we can be reminded that we can empower ourselves but
- 38:54Speaker 5: then also empower others and let them know, even in
- 38:56Speaker 5: the midst of loss, that they're not alone, that they're
- 38:59Speaker 5: going to get through this, even if it doesn't seem
- 39:01Speaker 5: like it in the moment, and that eventually things will
- 39:04Speaker 5: get better. And I wish that it was easy to say, Okay, yep,
- 39:07Speaker 5: things are going to get better in two months, in
- 39:09Speaker 5: two weeks, maybe once you had that funeral, that everything's
- 39:12Speaker 5: just going to be better. But a lot of times
- 39:15Speaker 5: with grief, as we all know, it's not like that.
- 39:17Speaker 5: There's still the triggers. I know, I lost my dad
- 39:19Speaker 5: as a two year anniversary in July, and there's still
- 39:22Speaker 5: songs that just remind me of him, or a cheesy
- 39:25Speaker 5: joke that he would have told or something else, or
- 39:28Speaker 5: even when I see a little girl that would have
- 39:29Speaker 5: been the age of my daughter that I lost about
- 39:32Speaker 5: nine years ago, and thinking of how she would have looked,
- 39:35Speaker 5: how she would have laughed, how I would have spent
- 39:37Speaker 5: time with her, all of these different things, and just
- 39:39Speaker 5: holding on to those things and just saying, you know,
- 39:43Speaker 5: I want that and I miss that, and I feel
- 39:45Speaker 5: like it's unfair and sometimes we can feel cheated, but
- 39:49Speaker 5: in that I'm thankful that God brings people our way
- 39:52Speaker 5: and he empowers us and reminds us that, okay, there
- 39:56Speaker 5: is hope in the midst of everything that's going on.
- 40:00Speaker 5: So as preparing for today, I came across this Bible
- 40:02Speaker 5: story and it's one that I've only heard a sermon
- 40:04Speaker 5: about once, and I wish that kind of pastors would
- 40:08Speaker 5: talk about it more often. But it's Exodus seventeen chapters,
- 40:11Speaker 5: so it's versus it Exitus seventeen verses twelve through fourteen,
- 40:15Speaker 5: and it talks about how Moses was Moses and the
- 40:18Speaker 5: Israelites and they were fighting a battle against the a
- 40:21Speaker 5: Melakites might have mispronounced it, and so Joshua was fighting
- 40:24Speaker 5: the battle, and in that God told Moses that when
- 40:28Speaker 5: he held his arms up and held his staff up
- 40:31Speaker 5: that they would win the battle, but then when his
- 40:33Speaker 5: arms would fall, that they would lose the battle. And
- 40:36Speaker 5: so just long story even short kind of just to
- 40:39Speaker 5: sum up everything, there was Aaron and her They came
- 40:42Speaker 5: alongside of Moses, and what they did is they gave
- 40:45Speaker 5: him a stone to sit on, and they helped him
- 40:47Speaker 5: hold up his arms, and they did end up winding
- 40:50Speaker 5: that battle and just thinking about how we need that.
- 40:53Speaker 5: I thought about that. I thought about empowerment and how
- 40:55Speaker 5: we need it as Christians, and when we're facing grief
- 40:58Speaker 5: and trauma and hard times, we need those people that
- 41:00Speaker 5: are going to put the stone for us to sit on,
- 41:03Speaker 5: and we need people to hold our arms up when
- 41:05Speaker 5: we're weak and when we're weary, And how a lot
- 41:07Speaker 5: of times that's so so hard to come by and
- 41:11Speaker 5: reminds me of what I do right now.
- 41:12Speaker 6: I work with.
- 41:13Speaker 5: Foster kids, and it's heartbreaking a lot of times that
- 41:16Speaker 5: these kids that are one and two and three and
- 41:18Speaker 5: sometimes five years old and under ten and have faced
- 41:20Speaker 5: more trauma that many of us have faced in our
- 41:23Speaker 5: decades here as we've been alive, and reminding them sometimes
- 41:27Speaker 5: that life is not going to be fair. And it's
- 41:29Speaker 5: hard sometimes having to teach a three year old and
- 41:32Speaker 5: four year old that life is not going to be fair,
- 41:34Speaker 5: but realizing that empowering them now can help them to
- 41:38Speaker 5: have a better outcome when they're adults, because I'm like
- 41:40Speaker 5: I wished that when my parents had gotten divorced, when
- 41:43Speaker 5: I had faced losses and no one talked to me
- 41:45Speaker 5: about it, was just like, Oh, there's a loss and
- 41:47Speaker 5: attending a funeral every weekend, and I just thought that
- 41:50Speaker 5: was normal. And then no one ever talked to me
- 41:52Speaker 5: about how to process that grief, what to do with
- 41:55Speaker 5: the grief, what to do when you miss that person,
- 41:57Speaker 5: how not to stuff that down. I wish there was
- 42:00Speaker 5: someone in my life who had empowered me, and it
- 42:03Speaker 5: helped me to be intentional about healing and say it's
- 42:05Speaker 5: okay to cry, it's okay to seek help, it's okay
- 42:09Speaker 5: to talk about your loss, it's okay to not have
- 42:12Speaker 5: to stuff it, it's okay to say this is not fair,
- 42:15Speaker 5: to just validate how it's feeling. I didn't get that,
- 42:18Speaker 5: but now I'm trying to do that for others. I realize,
- 42:20Speaker 5: and I love to encourage people, love to love on people,
- 42:24Speaker 5: and then thinking I'm like, oh, that's one way to
- 42:26Speaker 5: empower people. So just overalls, you're listening might be thinking, well,
- 42:29Speaker 5: how do I do this? How do I empower people?
- 42:32Speaker 5: Or how do I even empower myself? Because I'm not
- 42:35Speaker 5: getting that from others, and it's unfortunate. A lot of
- 42:37Speaker 5: us feel like maybe we're that Joshua, We're that Moses,
- 42:41Speaker 5: and we don't have that Aaron. We don't have that her.
- 42:43Speaker 5: We don't have an army behind us. We don't have
- 42:46Speaker 5: you know, the spiritual figures in our lives to hold
- 42:48Speaker 5: up our arms when we're weary and to give us
- 42:50Speaker 5: that stone to sit on.
- 42:51Speaker 2: So what do we do?
- 42:53Speaker 5: And so in that, just here some practical ways or
- 42:55Speaker 5: things you can do. One thing you can do is
- 42:57Speaker 5: to set boundaries, so saying no way that you can
- 43:00Speaker 5: empower yourself and others. You can honor your emotions, you
- 43:04Speaker 5: can find your voice. What we're doing now is we're
- 43:07Speaker 5: sharing our stories. We can practice self care, and we
- 43:10Speaker 5: can also seek support outside of family. I do want
- 43:13Speaker 5: to highlight that a lot of times we family tries
- 43:17Speaker 5: to be supportive. They do the best they can with
- 43:19Speaker 5: what they have. But as it was stated earlier, you know,
- 43:23Speaker 5: seeking counseling, talking to someone that's not part of the situation.
- 43:27Speaker 5: Maybe it's someone outside of our church, maybe it's even
- 43:30Speaker 5: a stranger, but just talking to someone about what we're
- 43:32Speaker 5: going through, someone that can maybe provide a different perspective
- 43:35Speaker 5: about what we're going through. But of course, seeking God
- 43:39Speaker 5: and praying and reading our Bible and seeking empowerment from
- 43:42Speaker 5: that and saying, Okay, God, how do you want me
- 43:44Speaker 5: to handle this loss? That makes no sense? And those
- 43:47Speaker 5: times where I want to just regain what I've lost,
- 43:49Speaker 5: but knowing that maybe you know it wasn't good for me,
- 43:53Speaker 5: or it wasn't your best for me, but I still
- 43:55Speaker 5: really really want that back, whether it's a relationship, maybe
- 43:58Speaker 5: a job, maybe you've moved. I know I move frequently,
- 44:02Speaker 5: and saying I missed my old place, but knowing that
- 44:05Speaker 5: it had a lot of things going on. It wasn't healthy,
- 44:08Speaker 5: it was figuratively and literally making me sick, and yet
- 44:11Speaker 5: in that but I'm like, oh God, I want to
- 44:13Speaker 5: go back to that because it was safe, it was comfortable,
- 44:16Speaker 5: but just letting God empower me and say, Okay, you
- 44:19Speaker 5: know that wasn't his best for me. He has something
- 44:21Speaker 5: better for me. But I can't see that, and I
- 44:23Speaker 5: don't understand it. And a lot of times when we're
- 44:25Speaker 5: grieving and we're facing that loss, we don't see it
- 44:28Speaker 5: and we don't understand it, and it doesn't feel good
- 44:30Speaker 5: and we're just like, well, God, why why is that
- 44:33Speaker 5: person gone? Why is that opportunity gone? It doesn't make sense,
- 44:37Speaker 5: And a lot of times we won't see it. Even
- 44:38Speaker 5: sometimes on this side of heaven, we won't get it,
- 44:41Speaker 5: but just seeking support and guidance from others. And one
- 44:44Speaker 5: thing that's really been helpful to me is just a
- 44:46Speaker 5: kind word. Realizing that one way to empower someone and
- 44:50Speaker 5: even myself is just to encourage myself or just to
- 44:53Speaker 5: listen or just you know, go to someone and support
- 44:57Speaker 5: them in the midst of their facing someone a couple
- 45:00Speaker 5: months ago and now she's a single mom and she's
- 45:03Speaker 5: not getting the support that she thought she was going
- 45:05Speaker 5: to get, and things are a little bit harder than
- 45:07Speaker 5: she thought, and she's just starting off, and she thought
- 45:09Speaker 5: she's going to get support from family, and she's grieving
- 45:12Speaker 5: that as her mom is facing a condition that's making
- 45:15Speaker 5: things difficult, and as her having her baby has kind
- 45:18Speaker 5: of strained relationships with family members, and instead of encouraging her,
- 45:22Speaker 5: her family members are just being really discouraging and telling
- 45:25Speaker 5: her she's not a good mom and she's, you know,
- 45:27Speaker 5: doing this, and she's like, but I just need someone
- 45:29Speaker 5: to just just pour into me and just let me
- 45:33Speaker 5: know that I am doing something right and that I
- 45:35Speaker 5: am you know, that it's going to be okay and
- 45:37Speaker 5: things are going to get better, and so God sent
- 45:39Speaker 5: me into her life to just be that person for her.
- 45:42Speaker 5: And you know, a couple months ago, I didn't know her.
- 45:44Speaker 5: But I'm like, as a single mom myself, I can
- 45:46Speaker 5: let her know that the things that she's facing right
- 45:49Speaker 5: now are not going to be forever, that they're going
- 45:51Speaker 5: to get better, that she is doing a good job,
- 45:53Speaker 5: that she is doing the best that she can with
- 45:55Speaker 5: what she's had, and to pray for her and just
- 45:58Speaker 5: to love on her and to encourage and mentor her.
- 46:01Speaker 5: And I'm like, Okay, you know, I can empower her,
- 46:04Speaker 5: but as I'm empowering her, I'm also empowering myself and
- 46:08Speaker 5: encouraging myself. So you know, just in the midst of
- 46:11Speaker 5: all that you're facing, a lot of times you might
- 46:13Speaker 5: be saying, Okay, I don't see things ever getting better.
- 46:16Speaker 5: I don't see how I'm ever going to smile again
- 46:19Speaker 5: after all that I face, after loss after loss after loss,
- 46:22Speaker 5: even when things don't turn out his plan, You're like, Okay,
- 46:25Speaker 5: I'm in that now. I'm like, God, this wasn't the
- 46:27Speaker 5: life that I had expected. This is not like a
- 46:29Speaker 5: Hallmark movie. This isn't like the happy ending supposedly like
- 46:33Speaker 5: Disney Movies. This is hard, and things seem to be
- 46:36Speaker 5: just one struggle after another. Things don't seem to be
- 46:38Speaker 5: getting better, and it just seems like the things for
- 46:41Speaker 5: my past, the traumatic things keep coming back up, and
- 46:44Speaker 5: I'm like, well, I'm not ready to deal with them
- 46:45Speaker 5: right now. I can't deal with them right now is
- 46:47Speaker 5: going to take me to another place mentally and spiritually
- 46:50Speaker 5: and physically. But in that God's saying, Okay, now's the
- 46:53Speaker 5: time to heal, even though it's painful, even though it's
- 46:55Speaker 5: training mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, but God's saying, now
- 47:00Speaker 5: is the time. So you know, just hopefully in the
- 47:03Speaker 5: midst of it, even if you don't have those that
- 47:05Speaker 5: are in your life that are pouring into you or
- 47:07Speaker 5: empowering you, maybe be able to empower yourself and let
- 47:10Speaker 5: God empower you and just bring you just those words
- 47:13Speaker 5: of love and to remind you that in the midst
- 47:16Speaker 5: of grief and trauma, so many things can feel out
- 47:18Speaker 5: of control. But in that God empowers us, and he
- 47:21Speaker 5: sends people are way too empowers to remind us that
- 47:23Speaker 5: we can regain some control. But a lot of time
- 47:26Speaker 5: it's surrendering that control to God in the midst of
- 47:29Speaker 5: things that seem impossible, and that He takes us through
- 47:33Speaker 5: things in the midst of everything we're facing, to grow us,
- 47:36Speaker 5: to make us stronger, to build our confidence. And I
- 47:38Speaker 5: know that it hurts, it doesn't seem fair, it doesn't
- 47:41Speaker 5: make sense, but being re minded that God is good
- 47:43Speaker 5: in the midst of all. So thank you for letting
- 47:45Speaker 5: me share.
- 47:50Speaker 1: That is truly a thing that I don't think we
- 47:53Speaker 1: think about often is understanding that we need people around
- 47:58Speaker 1: us to pour in to us, and sometimes we be
- 48:02Speaker 1: so drained because we've pourn out everything into everyone else.
- 48:07Speaker 1: And what I had to learn for myself is if
- 48:12Speaker 1: I'm running on empty, there's nothing for me to give anybody.
- 48:16Speaker 1: So I had to learn how to keep my cup
- 48:19Speaker 1: full and let them get the overflow of what I have.
- 48:23Speaker 1: And if you don't want what the overflow is, then
- 48:26Speaker 1: you don't want nothing I got to give you anyway,
- 48:29Speaker 1: because I'm not gonna give you what's in me and
- 48:32Speaker 1: leave me depleted. And when I started realizing certain conversations
- 48:37Speaker 1: with people was draining me, I stop answering the call,
- 48:41Speaker 1: like you ain't about to drain me, because all you
- 48:46Speaker 1: do is talk about something negative. Baby, I ain't answering
- 48:50Speaker 1: the phone. You're gonna have to take somebody else and
- 48:53Speaker 1: let them get that because they ain't got it. You
- 48:56Speaker 1: not draining me. I ain't got time to hear your
- 48:59Speaker 1: story to sympathize. If I'm gonna give you advice and
- 49:03Speaker 1: you choose not to take the advice that I give
- 49:06Speaker 1: you and you come back to me with the same
- 49:08Speaker 1: thing when I told you that this is what you
- 49:11Speaker 1: can do. If I give you the solution and you
- 49:13Speaker 1: still want to deal with the problem, Baby, you the problem,
- 49:16Speaker 1: and I ain't got time. So I've learned that if
- 49:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep myself empowered and I'm gonna keep myself
- 49:24Speaker 1: in a space to where I'm going to be ready
- 49:29Speaker 1: to encourage an uplift and support and all of that,
- 49:33Speaker 1: if you're not willing to receive it, then there's nothing
- 49:37Speaker 1: that I can do for you. You know, there is
- 49:40Speaker 1: nothing left for me to say, Okay, I can give
- 49:43Speaker 1: you twenty affirmations, and if you only choose to use
- 49:47Speaker 1: one of them, you still got nine nineteen of them
- 49:52Speaker 1: that you can use, but you don't want use but
- 49:54Speaker 1: that one, okay, And if that one doesn't get you
- 49:57Speaker 1: where you need to go to move on the two
- 49:59Speaker 1: then don't want anything. You want to be in where
- 50:02Speaker 1: you are and I ain't got time. So I have
- 50:06Speaker 1: learned over these last few years. Baby, I'm gonna cut
- 50:09Speaker 1: you off. I'm not. It doesn't mean that I don't
- 50:13Speaker 1: love you any less than anything, but I sometimes need
- 50:17Speaker 1: the support too. I need to be uplifted. So if
- 50:21Speaker 1: I can't call you and we pour into each other, baby,
- 50:24Speaker 1: I just know that I ain't gonna call you. It
- 50:27Speaker 1: ain't no hard feelings. It's just that you don't have
- 50:29Speaker 1: anything that's gonna feel me, and I don't have nothing
- 50:32Speaker 1: that's gonna feel you. Because you want to keep running
- 50:34Speaker 1: on anthy You wanna keep blaming everybody else and everything
- 50:38Speaker 1: that you've been through because you don't want to take
- 50:41Speaker 1: any accountability. You wanna blame the world for what you've
- 50:45Speaker 1: gone through. Baby, Listen, we don't have our conversation, we
- 50:48Speaker 1: don't have our time, we don't interacting with each other,
- 50:51Speaker 1: and it's just it ain't nothing else I can do
- 50:53Speaker 1: for you. But I'm gonna love you from over here.
- 50:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna pray for you and hope that God gets
- 50:58Speaker 1: to you in a better way I can, because God
- 51:01Speaker 1: is God all by himself. He don't need my help
- 51:03Speaker 1: at all. But if you ain't gonna let him into
- 51:05Speaker 1: the space where you complaining about, baby, ain't nothing I
- 51:08Speaker 1: can do for it, because God himself is the only
- 51:10Speaker 1: one that can help you and change you in the
- 51:12Speaker 1: way that you need to be changed, because I can't
- 51:14Speaker 1: do I know what my limitations are. So if you
- 51:18Speaker 1: got people that's around you that's draining you, baby, cut
- 51:21Speaker 1: that cut the line. They ain't got nothing else to
- 51:23Speaker 1: do with you. You don't gave all that you could give.
- 51:26Speaker 1: You not gonna be depleted because of them. That ain't
- 51:30Speaker 1: got nothing to do with you no more. You don't
- 51:31Speaker 1: did everything that you were supposed to do. You don't
- 51:34Speaker 1: uplifted them, gave them words of encouragement, gave them whatever
- 51:37Speaker 1: it is that they were seeking, but they chose not
- 51:40Speaker 1: to take it. That ain't got nothing to do with you.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Just cut your ties and let your cups stay filled
- 51:44Speaker 1: and pour it into the next person that's willing to receive.
- 51:48Speaker 1: All right, y'all, I don't got through with that part.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Now we're gonna talk about our alignment with Miss Angela.
- 51:54Speaker 1: We gonna have her Queen Angela, Queen of Collaboration, said,
- 51:57Speaker 1: without this woman, I would not even be in front
- 51:59Speaker 1: of you got today because God connected our path for
- 52:02Speaker 1: a bigger purpose and I even understood at the time.
- 52:05Speaker 1: So I'm gonna get on out the way and let
- 52:07Speaker 1: Queen Angela come on up here and talk about their alignment.
- 52:10Speaker 1: That she knows that God puts us in this place,
- 52:12Speaker 1: in this space for everything that is GLORI fine to him.
- 52:17Speaker 4: Amen, Amen, Amen, I tell you one of the things
- 52:20Speaker 4: that I have learned over these last couple of months
- 52:23Speaker 4: is that everything should punt back to Him. We got
- 52:26Speaker 4: to be aligned. Being in sync with God's plan is
- 52:30Speaker 4: what it's all about. And today I'm actually gonna be
- 52:33Speaker 4: sharing apostle Doctor Kimberly who is She is one of
- 52:38Speaker 4: my mentors. She is one of our coverers for our
- 52:42Speaker 4: five AM prayer line. She was supposed to be on
- 52:47Speaker 4: and she was going to be doing aligning, but she
- 52:49Speaker 4: got an assignment and it caused her to be away
- 52:53Speaker 4: from her home and with the security clearance that she's under,
- 52:56Speaker 4: it will not allow her to go live. But she
- 52:59Speaker 4: shared something means that she wanted me to share with
- 53:01Speaker 4: you guys. So I'm gonna do just that. I'm gonna
- 53:04Speaker 4: share exactly what she asks me to share on today.
- 53:08Speaker 4: So I tell you, alignment is more than just an agreement.
- 53:12Speaker 4: It's about positioning our deliberately alliance with something greater. Biblically,
- 53:18Speaker 4: alignment means bringing every area of our lives, our will,
- 53:23Speaker 4: our thoughts, and our actions under God's authority. It is
- 53:27Speaker 4: called is. It will cause us to surrender our desires
- 53:31Speaker 4: to His favor, to chase after His purpose, and to
- 53:35Speaker 4: reflect it by our character, which is most clearly seen
- 53:39Speaker 4: in the fruit of the spirit. True spiritual alignment isn't accidental.
- 53:44Speaker 4: It requires growth, transformation, and intentional engagement with God. That
- 53:51Speaker 4: means you gotta spend time with him. You got to
- 53:54Speaker 4: allow him to direct you, you got to allow him to
- 53:56Speaker 4: lead you. And we achieve this through fasting, deep prayer,
- 54:01Speaker 4: and consistently studying to show our self approved. Through these practices,
- 54:08Speaker 4: we move away from the world's pattern and allow God
- 54:11Speaker 4: to shape us into the people He has caused us
- 54:15Speaker 4: to be. He called us. It's not by accident that
- 54:18Speaker 4: you are seeing us right here today. He called us.
- 54:21Speaker 4: He brought, he brought, he delivered us. He brought us
- 54:24Speaker 4: out of our mess because some of us was deep.
- 54:26Speaker 4: I'm just gonna talk about me for a moment. Some
- 54:28Speaker 4: of us was deep in our sin. We didn't know,
- 54:30Speaker 4: we didn't know that, we didn't know what light looked like.
- 54:33Speaker 4: But he brought us out, He saw fit, He extended
- 54:35Speaker 4: his grace and his mercy. So I'm gonna define that
- 54:38Speaker 4: word aligne. If we go over to the Webster or
- 54:42Speaker 4: or Wikipedia or one of those Google searches. Aligne is
- 54:46Speaker 4: defined as a position of agreement or allignance. But biblically,
- 54:52Speaker 4: it means to bring our lives under the subjection and
- 54:56Speaker 4: align it with the will of God, so that he
- 55:00Speaker 4: can transform us, so that he can build our character,
- 55:03Speaker 4: so that we can walk into that that He has
- 55:05Speaker 4: purposed for us. That means that we must submit our will,
- 55:09Speaker 4: our thoughts, our life to God. We must seek God's
- 55:13Speaker 4: will above our own desire and surrender ourself to his plan. Yes,
- 55:18Speaker 4: his plan, because he tells us that in Jeremiah twenty
- 55:21Speaker 4: nine and eleven he declared, He declared that he had
- 55:24Speaker 4: a plan for us, and it wouldn't just to harm,
- 55:27Speaker 4: It wouldn't to bring us harm, but it was to
- 55:29Speaker 4: prosper us. For us to be in good health for
- 55:31Speaker 4: us to have hope in the future. So we must
- 55:34Speaker 4: seek God's will above our own desires, and we must
- 55:37Speaker 4: truly align with him. That requires spiritual growth transformation. And
- 55:44Speaker 4: how can we do that If you go over to
- 55:46Speaker 4: Romans twelve and two, and y'all apologize for the airplanes.
- 55:51Speaker 4: If you go over to Romans twelve and two, it
- 55:53Speaker 4: says that we must not be conformed to the world,
- 55:57Speaker 4: but we must be transformed with the renewer of our
- 56:00Speaker 4: minds that may prove that we are good and acceptable
- 56:04Speaker 4: and the purple of God. This scripture tells us that
- 56:08Speaker 4: we should not be conformed to the ways of the world,
- 56:11Speaker 4: but we must start spiritually, which helps us to understand
- 56:16Speaker 4: that everything is furnished through the Cross through Jesus' suffering
- 56:21Speaker 4: upon However, this is only attained by faith her by faith,
- 56:27Speaker 4: not by works, but by faith. We must understand. In
- 56:31Speaker 4: order to prove what is good and acceptable and perfect
- 56:34Speaker 4: will of God, we first must realize that we will
- 56:40Speaker 4: be put through the tests. We will be we will
- 56:44Speaker 4: be tested, and we must meet specific specifications that God
- 56:50Speaker 4: has laid out in the Bible. If we pick up
- 56:53Speaker 4: the Bible, those are our basic instructions before leaving hearth.
- 56:56Speaker 4: We understand that the Holy Spirit attempts to bring up
- 57:00Speaker 4: us into obceptance and into God's perfect will. Therefore, the
- 57:06Speaker 4: Lord tells us in his word Proverbs three, five and six,
- 57:10Speaker 4: trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean
- 57:13Speaker 4: not on your own understanding in all things. Acknowledge Him,
- 57:17Speaker 4: and he shall direct our path. The key word here
- 57:20Speaker 4: and aligning ourself with God, is trust. We must learn
- 57:24Speaker 4: how to trust God with everything that we have. Stop
- 57:28Speaker 4: thinking that we have it all together, but make it
- 57:32Speaker 4: clear that we need him, that we need his direction.
- 57:37Speaker 4: So I say this. The Lord tells us again in
- 57:40Speaker 4: Proverbs four and twenty three to keep our hearts with
- 57:44Speaker 4: all diligence for out for out of it are the
- 57:49Speaker 4: issues of life. The issues of life speak to the
- 57:52Speaker 4: foundation of faith, which is Jesus Christ, according to First
- 57:56Speaker 4: Corinthians one in twenty three, which tells us that we
- 57:59Speaker 4: reach Christ crucified, which is the foundation of the Word
- 58:03Speaker 4: of God and therefore thereby salvation. When we are properly
- 58:09Speaker 4: aligned with God, we must test the spirit, as instructed
- 58:14Speaker 4: in First John four and one. Beloved, believe not ever
- 58:20Speaker 4: the spirit, but try the spirit, whether they be the God,
- 58:24Speaker 4: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
- 58:29Speaker 4: Behind every doctrine there is a spirit. If it is
- 58:32Speaker 4: a true doctrine, it is the Holy Spirit. If it
- 58:35Speaker 4: is false doctrine, it is the evil spirit. When we
- 58:38Speaker 4: try the spirit to see whether they are of God's
- 58:41Speaker 4: criterion it is spiritually. Does it line up with the
- 58:47Speaker 4: infamible truth of God? Do it line up with His words?
- 58:51Speaker 4: Is this what God say in the scripture? You can
- 58:54Speaker 4: try it by the scription. All you got to do
- 58:56Speaker 4: is go over to the scripture and read it. In
- 58:58Speaker 4: Isaiah fourteen and twenty four, he says, the Lord of
- 59:02Speaker 4: Hosts has sworn, saying, surely, as I have thought, so
- 59:07Speaker 4: that shall it come to pass, And as I have purpose,
- 59:11Speaker 4: so shall it stand. Remember everything that the Lord has
- 59:14Speaker 4: intended for our lives shall come to pass. Today is
- 59:18Speaker 4: a good day to take a stand and purposefully come
- 59:22Speaker 4: in agreement with the word of God and position yourself
- 59:26Speaker 4: for a proper spiritual alignment. Make your alliance known. Let
- 59:31Speaker 4: everybody know that you stand for the Word of God
- 59:34Speaker 4: and that you stand in alignment. He said he will
- 59:37Speaker 4: direct our past. God he said he will order our steps,
- 59:41Speaker 4: so today, I say, humble yourself and commit unto the Lord.
- 59:45Speaker 4: Trust him and he will direct your path. He said
- 59:48Speaker 4: he will never leave us nor forsake us. So I
- 59:52Speaker 4: hope that something that I've shared in this short time
- 59:56Speaker 4: will will bless you and will cause you to align
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: with that that God has already purpose for you. And
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: I'm done.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: It's definitely true. When you follow through with what God
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: is telling you to do and directing your path, your steps,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: and all of the above, you will always be in
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: perfect alignment with His purpose for your life. Sometimes we
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: get so caught up in what free will is and
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: we get off course. You know, God is the ultimate GPS.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: He knows exactly where we're going and what we're supposed
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: to be doing and when we're supposed to be doing it.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: But we want to be hard headed sometimes and we
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: get distracted and we think we know what's best, and
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: God gives us that free will and we go on
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: and get off course, and then we get slapped upside
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: the head because what He don't let us go through
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: and get get hit because he said, Okay, I'm gonna
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: let you go and do what you think. You know,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: you know, you know, but you don't know, and when
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: you get hit, you be like, Okay, that's when that
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: rerouting and all of that comes in. And then you realize,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: had I just listened to God, I would have been
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: here five minutes earlier, or a whole year earlier, or
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: whatever the case may been, had you listen to what
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: he was telling you to do. We can't be so
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: hard headed and stubborn that we just ignore what he says,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: because that's where that free will comes in. And you
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: go on out there, God saying Okay, I'm gonna be
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: right here waiting on you because you think you know
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: what you're talking about, the same old saying is when
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: your mama would say a hard head makes a south
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: behind because you think you know what you're doing out there,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: and you're gone out there and you do it and
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: you falling, you get hurt, and now you got a scar.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: When your mama told you go and put this helmet on,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: all these kneepads and whatever, and you like, nah, I
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: got it, I ain't gonna get hurt. And then what
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: you do, you gonna get hurt. So when you pay
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: attention to the instructions that God has given you, you
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: you eliminate the chances of being heard. You will eliminate
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: the chance of going down through something that didn't take
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: you in the space in which you thought you were
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: supposed to be going. But say connected to God and
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: his purpose for your life, and you'll never be off course.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: You will always be in perfect alignment with what God
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: has called you to do. That is what my saying is.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: Stay out of God's business. The only thing he needs
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: from us is to be obedient to what He's called
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: you to do. Now. I started saying that after having
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: a conversation with my sister almost five years ago, and
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: it has been my catch phrase now. And so when
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: I get to wanting to ask God certain questions, and
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: it's like, okay, God, I got a question, I got
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: some you know, some things we need to talk about.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: And he quickly tells me to stay out his business
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: because I ain't got nothing to do with it. I
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: asked him for something. He didn't ask me for nothing
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: but to be obedient. So I'm going up meddling and
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: his stuff, and he like, girl, gone somewhere and sit
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: in that corner if I need you. I asked you
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: for something, but I asked you for us, So gone,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: sit down. Stop stop minding my You ain't got nothing
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: to do with over here. Mind Joe in the corner.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: If yes, yes, God will tell you mind your business
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: and quick fast. So I have learned. I'm gonna stay
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: on over here, but I'm gonna have a couple of
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: questions and he gonna put me on whole. You know,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: I call up there God, Look, we need to have conversation.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: I got some things I need to ask you, and
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: you be like, not today because you don't ask me
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: seventeen questions already. I'm done with you today.
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: You call me back tomorrow and I'm like, look, I'm
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: just trying to figure this out. It ain't time for
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: you to figure it out when I need you to
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: figure it out.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: He just wants you to trust the process. You just
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: want us to just just be still and know that
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: He is God. That's all by him, That's all he
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: want us to do. Sometimes, but sometimes we want to
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: We want that microwave effect. We want that that right
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: now rock down, But knowing knowing that we ain't. We
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: didn't get here just like microwave. So what you're gonna
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: have to go through the process. Yeah, I had to
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: learn that it's gonna have to go through the process.
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: Make it may cast from some tears, it may it
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: may cost a lot, but you're gonna have to go
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: through it. You have to go through it because they
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: said you're definitely gonna benefit because guess what, He will
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: be glorified.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: One of those things where we sit there and we're like,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: we pray the prayer and sometimes God answers that prayer immediately,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: but we envisioned it a certain way that we won't
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: even acknowledge that He's already answered the prayer because it
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: doesn't look like this was supposed to look like. And
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: that's the thing that we missed oftentimes because we have
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: it all pretty packaged up. But God had put that
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: thing through some damage. It don't look good anymore. So
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: we don't want it because it doesn't look like how
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: we envision it. And if God say, if you trust me,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: this is exactly what you asked me for. It's gonna
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: come with a little damage, it's gonna come with a
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: little hardship, it's gonna come with all of these things.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: But if you trust me, you're gonna see the beauty
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: in what I have for you. But you got to
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: look past, what you imagined it to look like, what
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: you imagined it to feel like, because it ain't gonna
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: look like nothing that you ever imagine. And if I
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: tell you I got something better for you on the
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: other side and let go of this small thing, I
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: promise you I'm gonna blow your mind ten times fold.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: But you gotta trust me. You gotta keep walking with me.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: If you keep walking with me, we gonna get well.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: You wanta go, but you gotta go through all of
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: this because I need to know how bad do you
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: really want what you've been asking me for, because I
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: want it, but I don't think you really want it,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: because you're ready to give up today half of us
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: get up right our breaththrd like if you just reach us,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: it's gonna fall off the sky.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: But you ain't. You're not even being patient because he
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: already knows who. He already know what the end results.
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: We already know what's at the end of the tunnel.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: He already knows. He just wants you to go through.
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: He just wants you to character. He just want to
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: see how you gonna hold on. He just want to
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: see how you're gonna act through it. All. That's gonna
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: treat people. He want to see. Man, he want to
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: see so much about He want to see if we
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: really gonna represent him, if we really gonna show that
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: we made in his image.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: That's what he wanted to exactly. And it's one of
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: those God has put you through something to see if
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: you're going to be humble or if you're going to
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: actually go back to the person. He has delivered it.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I've been in a situation where I was introduced to
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: this lady and when I was going to school, and
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: he brought it full circle for me and it was like, Okay,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: this woman was so mean and so evil to me
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: and I did not understand why, and she underestimated who
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: God created me to be. And I said those words
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: to her because I had a class. I had a
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: twenty two in that class, and I'm just giving you
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: a little background about it. And I needed this certain
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: book for my dictation for medical dictation, and she had
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: the book. She would not give me the book. So
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: it's an eleven week course. Six weeks in, I got
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: a twenty two in this class. Like the book finally
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: comes through. We're at midterm now, I don't have the book.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: I gotta make up all this work. She's still I
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: don't think you gonna be able to pull this up.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: I said, you don't know me, and you don't know
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: nothing about what God has placed inside of me. Watch
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: me work. When I tell you, I passed that class
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: with a eighty five. I passed and everything I passed
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: that That woman was so vindictive that when I needed
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: to know what my grades were just for this one
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: particular class, she locked me out of my whole portal
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: to where I couldn't see, so I had to contact
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: the professor. Now bring it back full circle. This lady
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: now works at my place. And so when my manager
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: was telling me we have this lady. Her resume looks good.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: I looked at the name. I said, this name seems
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: very familiar. Let me see her resume if you don't mind.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: So I look at the resume. I said, this was
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: my This was my director in my program. I said,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: And this lady gave me so much hell. When I
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: say that, I mean she did. I had to train her.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: And so it was like, okay, are you going to
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: be vindictive to her like she was to you? Or
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: are you going to actually do what I'm calling you
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: to do because I put you in a position to
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: where now you are the leader and she had to
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: follow your directions. And when I tell you, it was
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: funny in a sense, but it was just like, Okay, God,
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: I see what you're doing. I do have the power
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: to make or break this lady in this position, but
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: now it's just like I don't even have the desire
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: to do that because I want you to be successful.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: I want you to succeed in this position. I want
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: you to be greater than me. I want to give
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: you the knowledge that I was seeking at the time,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: because you had the knowledge I was trying to get
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: where you are. Now we are in a different space,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: in a different time. And it was one of those
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: things where she said to me, she said, I'm trying
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: to get like you. And she was like, you just
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: make this look so easy. I said, but I don't
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: make this look easy. It was hard for me to
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: get here. I said, but with what God has brought
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: me through, I am grateful to be in a position
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: to make it look easy for you. You gonna learn
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: everything that I know, because there's gonna be a moment
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: when I'm not gonna be here and you're gonna have
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: to be able to hold this by yourself. And if
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: I can't teach you to hold it by yourself, then
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: what good of mine? And so God will put you
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: in places to where it's going to teach you to
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: either be humble or to act the dog go one food.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: And if you choose to act the dog, go one fool,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: guess what, You're gonna go right back through that same
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: situation with a different face and a different place. And
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: God gonna keep taking you through it until you get it,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: because He's not gonna elevate you because you didn't learn
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: what you needed to learn to get to the next space.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: And a lot of times that's why a lot of
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: us keep repeating these things over and over again. God
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: gonna send you through it until you get it, until
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: you get what God is trying to teach you in
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: those moments, in those spaces to where he says he
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: will make your enemies your footstool. You gotta know that
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: he means every bit of that. He will make your
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: enemies your footstool. But how you handle them in that moment,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: it's going to make or break you, and it's not
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: going to keep you going forward. If you don't understand
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: that God is putting you in a place to where
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: your enemy can be your very footstool. But sometimes you
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: may end up being on the receiving end of what
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: you plan for somebody else. So that's why it's like,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: I see what God is doing to me, and I
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: could even be evil. I can do that if I
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: so choose, But I ain't trying to block my blessings
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: for nobody. So if God in space for somebody to
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: be a vessel, for them to even be a growth
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: for me, then yeah, baby, what is a lesson that
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: God you teaching me in this moment? Because I could
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: have easily been like, I ain't teaching her nothing. I
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: ain't gonna do nothing for her because this is how
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: she treated me. This is what she said to me,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: and my managers like, well, how you gonna respond to that?
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: I said, I'm gonna respond the same way I do
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: to everything else. What she did to me ain't got
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: nothing to do with me, because that was a personal
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: problem that she had with herself. It didn't have nothing
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: to do with me. So she had to figure that out,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: and God brought her here in this space because she
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: needed to repent for that. That didn't have nothing to
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: do with me. That was something she was going through
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: because she was following suit with someone else because anybody
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: that this other teacher had a thing for, they were
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: in a so called click together. So she didn't like
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: anybody that that lady didn't like that ain't nothing to
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: do with me. That was her problem and that was
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: her issue. So Baby, I let them have it. But
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: when it came to us in our relationship, we've got
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: into a space to where Baby lives and let me
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: go ahead and tell you this is the things that
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: were happening while I was in this situation, And so
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: I had to tell her. You didn't know that some
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: of those days that I was coming to class, I
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: ended up leaving that building in an ambulance because of
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: my health condition. You didn't know the battles that I
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: was actually facing when you were trying to trap me
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: in a situation to make it difficult for me. I
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: was still fighting. I was still serving with God I
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: had told me to do. It was days that I
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: didn't feel like coming in there because I knew that
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: the outcome may not have been good for me, but
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I still showed up. I wanted what I was coming
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: to school for so I was determined to get it.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: I was determined to make a way for that. And
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: you had no idea the battle that I was personally facing.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: But you wanted to be evil and vindictive. But this
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: is what happened. God brought you back to a space
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: to where you have to deal with me in a
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: way that I never dealt with you. But just stay
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: the course. God's gonna give you what you need to.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: So stay in a line and what God caused you
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: to do. And if you stay in a linement, God's
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: gonna bring them back forth to see you. And God's
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: gonna have them to speak your name in a way
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: that they never thought they would ever say. You know,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: God's gonna get the glory at the end of the day.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: And God gets the glory because he brings those people
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: back again and say, Okay, you were wrong to her,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: but did she wrong you in the process. And if
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: you can say that you didn't wrong them, you didn't
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: do them how they did you, You know that you've
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: grown in a space where you were still struggling. So
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: stay in the line and stay the course, and stay
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: focused on what it is that God has for you
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: now we have resilience that's coming up. It is Snaria
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: there or do you want me to talk about resilience.
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: Orry, Well, you can't because she dropped out for some reason.
- 1:14:26Speaker 4: She was having issues as well.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Okay, well, y'all get to listen to me talk for
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: a little bit more because I can definitely talk to
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: you about resilience because let me tell you, my story
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: is just like this. In two thousand and nine, I
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: had a stroke, and that was me pouring into everyone else.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: I was dealing with taking care of my mom. I
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: had moved my younger sister in shortly after that after
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: my mom decided to leave the house, and it's It
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: was a situation where I have been taking care of
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: my mom literally since I was fourteen years old, where
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: my family was consistent in saying, you need to get
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: your mother some help. You need to do this. I'm
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: a fourteen year old kid. I don't know how to
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: help an adult. I don't know these things. I can
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: only do what I can do, And so as I
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: got older, I did take on more of a role
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: of helping my mom. My mom was a drug addict
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: and an alcoholic, and she had been through some traumatic
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: things in her life and so me trying to figure
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: out what and how I could help. That was a
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: whole nother story in itself. So in two thousand and nine,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: I was going through a divorce, separate, well going through
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: a separation then that ultimately led to a divorce. During
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: that time, my ex husband's family had my car stolen.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: They because him and I got into a physical altercation.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: And it was a lot of things that were going
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: on during that time. So that led me to having
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: a stroke. Not only did I have a stroke, I
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: had was diagnosed with the brain aneurysm, a condition called
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: kr malformation, which is no cure for that. And during
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: that time it was like, Okay, I lost the use
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: of my left side. My sister was living with me.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: She got upset with me because I would not allow
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: her to sit in my house and smoke weed with
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: the neighbor. So the good arm that I had and
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: the good leg that I had, I packed off but
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: all of her belongings and put it outside of my
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: house because you don't get to be in my house
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: and talk to me this kind of way. When my
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: sister told me that she wished that the aneurysm killed me,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: she wished that I was dead. So it's like, oh, okay,
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: all right, cool, I hear you and I understand that
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: is how you feel. But it turned around and my
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: sister needed me again. So she ended up being put
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: out of a place that she was living. So she
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: came and she came back to me, and I gave
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: her the tough love. Baby, I love you, but You're
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: gonna have to do this on your own because I'm
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: not your mother, I'm your sister.
- 1:16:57Speaker 6: It is not my.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: Responsibility to take you. You're gonna have to figure out
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: how to get this on your own. So fast forward
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: twenty thirteen, I had a major flat with my condition.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: I ended up back in the hospital to where I
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: lost my ability to walk, lost my ability to speak,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: and doctor had no idea of what was gonna happen
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: with me. Family was upset, nobody knew. My daughter was
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: going her senior year in high school, so it was
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: it was a difficult time for all of us. So
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: going through all of those things, it was like, Okay, well,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: what can I do to get to the next stage
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: and what it is that you have? So going through that,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: I'm at home, I'm by myself. I can barely speak.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: I'm using a pen and paper to talk to family,
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: to talk to doctors and everything, and I'm like, God,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: I don't know what it is that you're teaching me.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: I do realize that the prayer that I prayed was
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: not specific I was praying for. I did not know
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: that the rest God was going to give me was
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: going to require me to be stuck at home in
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: the bed for two years and not being able to
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: do much of anything. So during that time, it was like, God,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: I don't know, but I'm gonna trust you through this process.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: So trusting God to get me through, he led me
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: to enroll in college. Now I had every excuse under
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: the sun. After that, I was like, God, look I'm
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: going back and forth to the hospital. I still got
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: daughter's appointments and everything. I had excuses, but I've raised
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: some very headstrong children till my daughter went with me
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: to this appointment. She told me that she has seen
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: me overcome everything that was placed in front of me,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: and I was going to enroll in school. So I
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: did exactly that. I enrolled in school. It was supposed
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: to take me two years to complete that journey. It
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: actually took me a year. And nine months to complete
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: and get my associate's degree and Applied Science Medical Office Administration.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: So just because your face with something doesn't mean that
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: you don't have the will to get through to the
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: next thing if you trust and believe in what God
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: is bringing you through. Because I didn't know that everything
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: that He was placing in front of me, every obstacle,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: was going to be something that I would be able
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: to utilize. Because my dark days really were dark. I
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: didn't know what I was gonna do. If you saw
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: me walk, you would never know that I walked with
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: a walker that I had trouble with just anything. I
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: could not button a shirt. I couldn't hold a loaf
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: of bread. A loaf of bread weighs absolutely nothing. I
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: could not hold the loaf of bread with my left hand.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: I couldn't. I needed a cane, and some of the
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: people that I work with were so being that they
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: would take my cane and play with it. You know,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: people will try to set you up in so many
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: ways to just fall and just not be able to
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: pick yourselves up. But when you trust and believe that
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: God has something for you in the midst of what
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: you're going through, and you keep walking, and you keep moving,
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: and you keep saying God, I trust you, and that
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: has been my biggest thing. God, I trust you in
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: everything that you have for me. I don't understand it.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: He had me taking up public speaking class. I still
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: did not understand. I am going to be working the front.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: That's the only things I'm gonna be asking these people
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: for is their idea in their insurance card and collecting
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: their copey. What do I need a public speaking class for?
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: Look at me?
- 1:20:48Speaker 5: Now?
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: This is what I'm doing, not only with this, helping
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: other writers become published authors, speaking in front of others,
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: let them know that just because the situation looks dark
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: doesn't mean that you have to stay there if you
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: want what it is that you have been given the
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: vision for. Because this is the thing. God is gonna
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: give you a vision of where he wants your life
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: to go. But if you choose to ignore it, you're
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: never gonna see the benefits that He's already promised you
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: if you trust him. And the visions that He's shown
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: me about my life. I didn't believe it. I had
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: no idea that I would be speaking, but he showed
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: me the visions, and I'm like God, I think you
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: delivered that to the wrong address. I don't think that's
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: meant for me. I think that's for somebody else. And
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: then he sent it back again and I'm like, I'm
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: still trying to return to send them. I'm like, that
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: ain't for me, and he like, I'm gonna send it
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: to you to you really understand that this is your purpose.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: This is what I want you to do. And I'm like, God,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: I think I think you keep missing the wrong address.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: It's supposed to be at the house next dough. This
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: ain't supposed to be addressed to me until I realized
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: it had my name on it. It was addressed to me,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: the little four to eight, little girl that has the
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: big spirit. It was for me. I couldn't send it
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: off to nobody else. I couldn't return it back to
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: him because it didn't belong to him either. It was
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: my purpose and I had to walk in it. And
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: even though I still get scared to speak in front
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: of people and I tell people that I'm shy, ain't
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: nobody believing, not one single bit of me being shy
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: in any form, in any capacity, in any shape at all,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: because they like, you don't need no stranger. Strangers, you
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: will talk to anybody, and I'm like, no, God led
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: them over here to talk to me for a reason,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: and so we gonna figure out what that reason is.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: And So when God places you in a situation that
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: it does not seem like, you're gonna be able to
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: get out of trust and believe that He has something
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: that is connected to whatever it is that you're going through.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: Just stay focused on his word, Stay focused on what
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: he's telling you to do. Be intentional with each and
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: every step that you take. Be intentional with every word
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: that you use, because the words that you use are
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: going to help you to get to the next level.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: Because power lies in your tongue. So if you're speaking
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: negative thoughts over yourself, you're not gonna see what it
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: is that you want to see because you keep telling
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: yourself that it's not yours. But God promised it to you,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: So you speak it as if you have already walked
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: in it. Because your purpose is connected to the things
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: that you say to yourself. Like I have a little
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: posting note that's on my mirror, and I was writing
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: this while I was at work because me and God
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: had this conversation. We be talking all day long. That's
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: why you be putting me on hoole sometime. And the
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: thing on my dresser says, pray, prepare and position. You
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: pray for what it is that you asking God for.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: You position, you prepare yourself to receive what it is
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: that you're asking God for, and you positioning yourself to
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: receive it. So everything that you're asking God for, you're
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: praying for it, you're preparing for it, and you're positioning
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: yourself to be able to receive. So walk in resilience,
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Walk in the purpose of which God has created you.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: Because when you walk in your purpose, you will overcome
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: everything that was set in your way to destroy you,
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: to distract you, and to keep you off course. But
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: if you allow God to be your GPS, baby, you
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: gonna walk in everything. And even those dark days, are
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: you gonna look back and see the sunshine was already there.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: You were just too focused on the dark clouds that
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: you didn't see the sunlight shining through. But every cloud
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: it looks like it's just full of darkness. If you
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: look hard enough, I promise you you'll see the clearing
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: where it says that silver lining. God is already white
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: there watching you. He's just waiting for you to see
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: that His light is always there. It's all with you.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Are you willing to look past the darkness to see
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: the light. So that's all I got on resilience. Anybody
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: got any questions for me or anything, and then we're
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: gonna move on to Miss Monique. But if you got
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: any questions, I'm gonna happen to answer. Now no questions, Well, listen,
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: we gonna have Miss Monique come on up and talk
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: to you guys about trauma no more. We've all been
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: through some traumatic experience in this life. And what you
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: do is either you hold on to it and let
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: it define you, or you find the purpose within that trauma.
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: I'll write, Miss Monique, the floor is yours.
- 1:26:29Speaker 6: Are you saying something? Are you saying something? What did
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: you say? Because I didn't hear what you said. Yeah,
- 1:26:45Speaker 6: I can hear you now, Oh okay. Because she had
- 1:26:51Speaker 6: froze so I wasn't sure what was going on, I
- 1:26:53Speaker 6: didn't want to start speaking, and she popped back in.
- 1:26:58Speaker 6: All right. First of all, thank you for having me,
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: Queen Angela. It's always a time when we get together.
- 1:27:04Speaker 6: I've learned so much for all of the ladies on
- 1:27:06Speaker 6: this panel, so far I could deeply relate to each
- 1:27:09Speaker 6: and everything we're talking about. Trauma no more, and for
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: definition's sake, trauma is defined as a deeply distressing or
- 1:27:17Speaker 6: disturbing event that overwhelms a person's capacity to cope and
- 1:27:22Speaker 6: causes significant negative effects on their mental, emotional, physical, and
- 1:27:27Speaker 6: spiritual well being. One of the things that I have
- 1:27:31Speaker 6: learned because I have lived through several traumas, including domestic violence,
- 1:27:35Speaker 6: child abuse, sexual assault, becoming a special needs mom, having
- 1:27:42Speaker 6: my son born at two pounds and watching him be resuscitate,
- 1:27:46Speaker 6: suscitated in front of me, living in a homeless shelter
- 1:27:49Speaker 6: with my two kids, not having a job, not having money.
- 1:27:53Speaker 6: The things that I've learned through all of those things
- 1:27:56Speaker 6: that we're traumatic is that it's not always but it's
- 1:28:00Speaker 6: done to you that's traumatic. But it's the things that
- 1:28:02Speaker 6: was not done to you that could be just as traumatic.
- 1:28:05Speaker 6: For example, you know, when you go through trauma and
- 1:28:08Speaker 6: you try to tell somebody that something happened to you
- 1:28:11Speaker 6: and they don't believe you, that's traumatic. When you try
- 1:28:14Speaker 6: to go seek help and people don't come to your rescue,
- 1:28:16Speaker 6: that's traumatic. When you try to go seek help and
- 1:28:19Speaker 6: you can't seem to find the help. That's traumatic. Or
- 1:28:22Speaker 6: when even when you trust somebody with your trauma and
- 1:28:24Speaker 6: they go tell someone else, that's traumatic because you told
- 1:28:28Speaker 6: someone in confidence. Sometimes trauma is the ongoing weight of
- 1:28:32Speaker 6: carrying something that is simply too big for us to carry. God,
- 1:28:36Speaker 6: God never told us to be strong. Let me say that,
- 1:28:38Speaker 6: Let me start there. God did not tell us to
- 1:28:40Speaker 6: be strong. Ladies, The Bible says, be strong in the
- 1:28:43Speaker 6: Lord and in the power of His might. Sometimes as
- 1:28:47Speaker 6: you go through trauma, it's speaking louder than God's voice
- 1:28:50Speaker 6: is in your head to ask you, are you sure
- 1:28:53Speaker 6: you're supposed to be doing this? Are you good enough?
- 1:28:55Speaker 6: God ain't listening to you. You're never gonna get through this,
- 1:28:58Speaker 6: And you find your self isolating yourself because we inwardly
- 1:29:04Speaker 6: begin to blame ourselves no matter what the trauma is.
- 1:29:07Speaker 6: We attack ourselves first before anybody else. And those are
- 1:29:12Speaker 6: the things that should let you know that you need
- 1:29:14Speaker 6: counseling and therapy, and there's nothing wrong with that. The
- 1:29:18Speaker 6: Bible says. In a multitude of counselor is their safety.
- 1:29:20Speaker 6: So that tells me that I am supposed to have
- 1:29:22Speaker 6: Jesus in therapy too, and I talk about that in
- 1:29:25Speaker 6: my grief. But grief is a gangster grief. As you
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: go through your grief journey through trauma, you have to
- 1:29:32Speaker 6: grieve whatever the loss was. You have to grieve the
- 1:29:35Speaker 6: feelings and emotions that were enacted on you or that
- 1:29:38Speaker 6: you brought upon yourself. It's even the things that you
- 1:29:41Speaker 6: thought that you would do in life that you didn't
- 1:29:43Speaker 6: get to do. I had to grieve the son that
- 1:29:44Speaker 6: I didn't have. My son can't walk, he can't run,
- 1:29:47Speaker 6: he can't jump, he can't play football, he can't do
- 1:29:50Speaker 6: any of those things trauma. Every day for the past
- 1:29:53Speaker 6: twenty five years, I woke up thinking, Okay, God, maybe
- 1:29:57Speaker 6: today will be the day that he will walk. Realizing
- 1:30:00Speaker 6: that even in the midst of that God was changing me.
- 1:30:03Speaker 6: I did. I realize that even in the midst of that,
- 1:30:05Speaker 6: God was building me so that I commnenced it to
- 1:30:08Speaker 6: other special needs parents and give them hope and give
- 1:30:11Speaker 6: them faith. But the trauma was speaking louder, so I
- 1:30:14Speaker 6: could not hear God. The trauma was speaking louder. Trauma
- 1:30:17Speaker 6: has a voice, And just like Sister Alma said Psalm
- 1:30:20Speaker 6: thirty four, says, the Lord is close to the broken hearted.
- 1:30:23Speaker 6: He saved those that are crushed in spirit. When you
- 1:30:26Speaker 6: in a traumatic situation, you're crushed in spirit. You want
- 1:30:29Speaker 6: any type of relief that you could find, and a
- 1:30:31Speaker 6: lot of times we gravitate to all the wrong things
- 1:30:35Speaker 6: to relieve our trauma. You can tell that you are
- 1:30:38Speaker 6: in trauma by the friends you have, by the places
- 1:30:41Speaker 6: you go, the extracurricular activities that you allow yourself to
- 1:30:45Speaker 6: be a part of. Trauma speaks even when we're not.
- 1:30:49Speaker 6: Trauma speaks whether we say a word or not. It's
- 1:30:52Speaker 6: showing in our bodies. It's showing in our attitudes, it's
- 1:30:54Speaker 6: showing in our actions. And let me tell you, trauma
- 1:30:57Speaker 6: is loud. The enemy wants you to stay trapped in trauma.
- 1:31:00Speaker 6: He don't want you to be free. Why because if
- 1:31:02Speaker 6: you be free, you're not going to entertain him anymore.
- 1:31:05Speaker 6: You're going to entertain the things of God. And you're
- 1:31:07Speaker 6: going to get to the place where God wants you.
- 1:31:09Speaker 6: So he does whatever he can to stop you. But
- 1:31:11Speaker 6: I want to remind you that Isaiah forty three or
- 1:31:14Speaker 6: two says, whenever you pass through the water, I will
- 1:31:17Speaker 6: be with you when you pass through the rivers. It
- 1:31:20Speaker 6: would not overtake you. Notice God didn't say we wouldn't
- 1:31:23Speaker 6: pass through stuff. Yay, though I walk through the Valley
- 1:31:26Speaker 6: of the Shadow of Death. Palm twenty three says, that
- 1:31:28Speaker 6: means we still got to do it. As all you
- 1:31:30Speaker 6: lady said earlier, we still got to do these things.
- 1:31:33Speaker 6: We still have to go through this process to get
- 1:31:36Speaker 6: through the Valley of the shadow of death. We have
- 1:31:38Speaker 6: to pass through the waters, which means we're going to
- 1:31:41Speaker 6: experience some sort of trauma, some sort of discomfort, some
- 1:31:44Speaker 6: sort of hurt, some sort of pain. The Lord said,
- 1:31:48Speaker 6: that doesn't say that we won't experience fire. He said
- 1:31:51Speaker 6: that the flames won't consume us. The truth is we
- 1:31:55Speaker 6: weren't failing and we're not forgotten. God was holding us
- 1:31:58Speaker 6: up through our trauma, no matter when it was, how
- 1:32:01Speaker 6: long it was. But here's the good thing. There is
- 1:32:05Speaker 6: healing available for you. God's word says that my grace
- 1:32:10Speaker 6: is sufficient for you. It's not healing isn't just about
- 1:32:13Speaker 6: what's happening to you. It's about what's happening around you.
- 1:32:17Speaker 6: And this is why you have to heal from the trauma,
- 1:32:19Speaker 6: because your bloodline is at stake. Do you know that
- 1:32:22Speaker 6: if you do not heal, the trauma continues through the
- 1:32:25Speaker 6: blood line. The trauma will continue, The generational curses will continue,
- 1:32:30Speaker 6: the low self estein will continue, the making bad choices
- 1:32:33Speaker 6: in marrying men will continue. The drugs and alcohol and
- 1:32:36Speaker 6: the sex to continue. All of these things will continue.
- 1:32:39Speaker 6: Somebody has to be the one. And guess what, God
- 1:32:42Speaker 6: shows you to be the one to break the trauma.
- 1:32:46Speaker 6: Stop trying to be strong, Stop trying to be perfect,
- 1:32:49Speaker 6: because you're going to steal. Fall short. The word says,
- 1:32:51Speaker 6: we all have fallen short of the glory of God.
- 1:32:53Speaker 6: We are in this flesh. There is no way we're
- 1:32:55Speaker 6: going to be perfected. There's no way we are perfect.
- 1:32:59Speaker 6: But God perfects those things concerning us. I mean. And
- 1:33:02Speaker 6: so when I was going through my healing journey and
- 1:33:07Speaker 6: I'm in therapy now, when I lost my grandmother and
- 1:33:09Speaker 6: my sister two weeks apart, I didn't know what day
- 1:33:13Speaker 6: it was, y'all. I didn't know what I was doing.
- 1:33:15Speaker 6: I did not know how to handle that because while
- 1:33:20Speaker 6: God prepared me for my grandmother to pass, he didn't
- 1:33:22Speaker 6: prepare me for my sister. So of course, you know,
- 1:33:24Speaker 6: I felt broadsided a lot of us would be. You know,
- 1:33:28Speaker 6: trauma does that to you. Trauma does not ask permission
- 1:33:31Speaker 6: to traumatize you. It just does. And so when things
- 1:33:35Speaker 6: happened like that, instead of me, instead of me saying, okay, Lord,
- 1:33:39Speaker 6: I surrendered these emotions and stuff to you. I went
- 1:33:42Speaker 6: on my day. It went on like wasn't anything bothering me.
- 1:33:45Speaker 6: I was stuff in my emotions. I was still smiling
- 1:33:48Speaker 6: in front of everybody, and everybody was still just taking
- 1:33:51Speaker 6: from me, taking from me, and I'm just steady pouring out,
- 1:33:53Speaker 6: pouring out, until one day I was in the hospital,
- 1:33:55Speaker 6: hooked up to a heart machine. Like many of you,
- 1:33:59Speaker 6: I suffered health issues because I was not addressing my trauma.
- 1:34:03Speaker 6: Death has a way of bringing about traumas that you
- 1:34:05Speaker 6: did not face from childhood even And I was like, Lord,
- 1:34:10Speaker 6: where's all this stuff coming from? Because you didn't heal
- 1:34:13Speaker 6: from those other things, and now you're in this day
- 1:34:18Speaker 6: and you're still not trying to heal from this either,
- 1:34:20Speaker 6: and I'm trying to get you to the place where
- 1:34:22Speaker 6: I'm trying to heal you. So the Lord literally had
- 1:34:24Speaker 6: to deal with me because I thought that I had
- 1:34:26Speaker 6: it together. I thought I would look I was the
- 1:34:29Speaker 6: prophet is I was the preacher. I was the teacher.
- 1:34:31Speaker 6: I was the innocence. I'm praying for everybody else they're
- 1:34:33Speaker 6: getting their healing or whatever, and I was literally dying.
- 1:34:36Speaker 6: Do you know that even though you take medicine, the medicine,
- 1:34:40Speaker 6: while it goes to the part that it's supposed to treat,
- 1:34:43Speaker 6: it goes to your whole body first. That's the same
- 1:34:45Speaker 6: thing trauma does. Trauma goes to your whole body even
- 1:34:48Speaker 6: and it's gonna affect everything around you. Even though you
- 1:34:51Speaker 6: don't think it's gonna affect your heart, It's gonna affect
- 1:34:54Speaker 6: your heart. You think it's not gonna affect your spirit,
- 1:34:56Speaker 6: It's gonna affect your spirit. So I'm here to tell
- 1:34:58Speaker 6: you today, every that you've had, every traumatic experience that
- 1:35:02Speaker 6: you are either dealing with or have overcame, you not
- 1:35:05Speaker 6: have a testimony because of it. I know it doesn't
- 1:35:08Speaker 6: make sense. I know it didn't feel good at the time.
- 1:35:11Speaker 6: But every tear that you've sown, the Bible says you
- 1:35:14Speaker 6: shall reap and joy. God has bottled your tears. Do
- 1:35:17Speaker 6: you know he knows how many tears you cried? How
- 1:35:20Speaker 6: old are you? That's how many teas you cried, and
- 1:35:23Speaker 6: God knows how many tears that is. You know how
- 1:35:25Speaker 6: much hair I have on my head? I don't, but
- 1:35:29Speaker 6: God knows. God knows the number of heads we have
- 1:35:31Speaker 6: on our head, He knows how many fell out and
- 1:35:33Speaker 6: everything else. So if you find yourself exhausted, understand that
- 1:35:36Speaker 6: God sees you. If you find yourself feeling invisible, you're
- 1:35:40Speaker 6: not invisible, because God said He's everywhere, He's where you are.
- 1:35:44Speaker 6: You're not invisible like the sisters said earlier. It's just
- 1:35:47Speaker 6: that you have not been made visible to the eyes
- 1:35:49Speaker 6: that need to see you.
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: Yet.
- 1:35:51Speaker 6: Oh that just bless my soul, says, Oh my God,
- 1:35:54Speaker 6: we're not invisible. We're just being hidden for a specific time.
- 1:35:58Speaker 6: And when it is time for us to come forth,
- 1:36:00Speaker 6: we would come out of this pill gold if we
- 1:36:01Speaker 6: overcome the trauma. And so understand that your tears are
- 1:36:06Speaker 6: not wasted, your prayers are not wasted, Your pain and
- 1:36:10Speaker 6: your turmoil was not wasted, Your trauma was not wasted.
- 1:36:15Speaker 6: I need you to declare over your life charuma no more.
- 1:36:19Speaker 6: Because God makes a way of escape. He said that
- 1:36:21Speaker 6: he does. His word says that when we go through
- 1:36:24Speaker 6: things that He has made a way of escape. Now,
- 1:36:27Speaker 6: if you don't take it, like Sister Treeda said, you
- 1:36:30Speaker 6: are your own What else do you want God to
- 1:36:32Speaker 6: do for you? There's nothing I could do for you.
- 1:36:34Speaker 6: I could pray for you and pray in the spirit
- 1:36:36Speaker 6: and fast and do all of those things. But if
- 1:36:38Speaker 6: I am not willing to face my own demons, if
- 1:36:41Speaker 6: I'm not willing to take accountability for things, whether I
- 1:36:45Speaker 6: was the carprit for the trauma or not, it's still
- 1:36:48Speaker 6: my responsibility to hear why because my blood line depends
- 1:36:51Speaker 6: on it. Your blood line depends on it. I understand
- 1:36:54Speaker 6: that trauma comes to shape you in a way that
- 1:36:59Speaker 6: it wouldn't s if you had you not had the trauma.
- 1:37:01Speaker 6: I know it don't make sense. I know you're like,
- 1:37:03Speaker 6: God didn't have to do all that He could have
- 1:37:05Speaker 6: just did Bibby Boppy booth. Sure he could have, But
- 1:37:08Speaker 6: what would you have learned? If God as parents all
- 1:37:13Speaker 6: for those of us who are parents, if we gave
- 1:37:14Speaker 6: our kids everything they asked for and they never learned
- 1:37:17Speaker 6: any lessons, then then they're gonna just be spore brats, unproductive,
- 1:37:22Speaker 6: spoil breads, because they're gonna keep coming to us and
- 1:37:24Speaker 6: we're just gonna keep giving and doing. That's not God.
- 1:37:27Speaker 6: We have to learn from the trauma that we've gone through.
- 1:37:30Speaker 6: We have to learn from the scars that we have.
- 1:37:33Speaker 6: The scars are indicators that something was there that is
- 1:37:36Speaker 6: no longer there. That means that you've gone through it.
- 1:37:38Speaker 6: The scars have healed, That means that you've gone through
- 1:37:40Speaker 6: it already. The scars of indication that healing has taken place.
- 1:37:45Speaker 6: And so embrace the moments with God because being a
- 1:37:49Speaker 6: victim doesn't do anything for you. Even though it brings
- 1:37:53Speaker 6: you attention, and you think you want this attention, it's not.
- 1:37:57Speaker 6: It's not taking you anywhere you want to go, not
- 1:37:59Speaker 6: towards God. As long as you stay there. There's no
- 1:38:02Speaker 6: comfort in comfort zones. I don't know why they call
- 1:38:04Speaker 6: them comfort zones. There's no comfort there, but God has
- 1:38:08Speaker 6: made a way of escape. We have adopted this erroneous
- 1:38:11Speaker 6: mindset that our trauma is safer than to be healed.
- 1:38:14Speaker 6: And that's why when people come to love on us,
- 1:38:16Speaker 6: we don't know how to accept it because we were
- 1:38:19Speaker 6: never exposed to anything else. But then when the love
- 1:38:22Speaker 6: of God shows up, we get terrified and instead of
- 1:38:26Speaker 6: embracing something different, our flesh automatically reverts back to what
- 1:38:31Speaker 6: is always known. So I challenge you today that if
- 1:38:34Speaker 6: you find yourself still wrestling with trauma and all of
- 1:38:39Speaker 6: those things and descend in your life, God has come
- 1:38:41Speaker 6: to bring you out of it. God does not want
- 1:38:44Speaker 6: you to stay there. If He wants you to stay there,
- 1:38:46Speaker 6: the Cross wouldn't have been necessary if he wanted you
- 1:38:49Speaker 6: to stay there, Salvation would not have been necessary. If
- 1:38:52Speaker 6: he wanted you to stay there, he wouldn't have laid,
- 1:38:54Speaker 6: He wouldn't have setent in the garden and told the
- 1:38:56Speaker 6: people to his disciples to pray with him for one hour.
- 1:38:58Speaker 6: He wouldn't allow himself to be speed and the crowns
- 1:39:00Speaker 6: of thorns to be put on his head if he
- 1:39:02Speaker 6: wanted you to stay there. He has come that you
- 1:39:05Speaker 6: may have life, the Word says, and that you may
- 1:39:08Speaker 6: have it more bundanly. You can get out of survival
- 1:39:10Speaker 6: mode if you want to. Like the sister said, it's
- 1:39:13Speaker 6: a choice. The choice is yours. You have a lot
- 1:39:15Speaker 6: of options, but you only got to choices. You can
- 1:39:18Speaker 6: either live or die, And every decision you make from
- 1:39:21Speaker 6: this moment on speaks to whether you want to live
- 1:39:23Speaker 6: that life more bundantly in Christ, or if you just
- 1:39:26Speaker 6: gonna lay down and mark your time until you die.
- 1:39:29Speaker 6: But you can get up from the trauma. I'm a witness.
- 1:39:31Speaker 6: You could get up from the trauma. I've already written
- 1:39:33Speaker 6: six seven, eight books or something like that. God has
- 1:39:36Speaker 6: given me a podcast radio show where I talk to
- 1:39:39Speaker 6: people all across the world. I'm out here doing things
- 1:39:42Speaker 6: I thought i'd never do. Like sister Trevida said, I
- 1:39:45Speaker 6: told him, Mama, I don't want to do that. That
- 1:39:46Speaker 6: ain't me. You need to send that bay to somebody else.
- 1:39:48Speaker 6: I want to talk to nobody trauma. Because the trauma
- 1:39:51Speaker 6: was speaking louder than his still small voice to say Monique,
- 1:39:54Speaker 6: I love you, You're healed. You can do this. I've given
- 1:39:58Speaker 6: this to you. Nobody else can do this but you.
- 1:40:00Speaker 6: Even if you had a twin, nobody else could do
- 1:40:02Speaker 6: this the way you could do it. So I need
- 1:40:04Speaker 6: you to come out of your trauma. I need you
- 1:40:06Speaker 6: to admit that it's there. First of all, you gotta
- 1:40:08Speaker 6: admit that it's dead because you're hurting your body. Lets
- 1:40:11Speaker 6: you know that you're hurting your body. Lets you know
- 1:40:12Speaker 6: that you're depleted your body. Lets you know that you
- 1:40:15Speaker 6: are not where you should be spiritually, mentally or emotionally.
- 1:40:19Speaker 6: Go to counselor and therapy, like I said, And the
- 1:40:22Speaker 6: multitude of counselor is their safety. Trust somebody with your
- 1:40:25Speaker 6: trauma will let me stop right there, youth desirement. You
- 1:40:27Speaker 6: can't tell everybody everything. You cannot because they're not equip
- 1:40:32Speaker 6: to handle that. This is why you pray and ask
- 1:40:35Speaker 6: God what to say, who to say it to, and when,
- 1:40:39Speaker 6: keep a journal, write down your thoughts, no matter how
- 1:40:42Speaker 6: ugly they are. Do you know that a lot of
- 1:40:44Speaker 6: the things that are in my books was because of
- 1:40:46Speaker 6: thoughts that I wrote down, and journals and just moments
- 1:40:50Speaker 6: with God where he dropped things in my spirit. Grief
- 1:40:52Speaker 6: as a gangster came at a time where I thought
- 1:40:55Speaker 6: I was gonna die, y'all. I had to as I'm like,
- 1:40:59Speaker 6: at this point, I don't got nothing else because trauma
- 1:41:03Speaker 6: had engulfed me so death had bullied me so that
- 1:41:07Speaker 6: I could not see my way out of it. Now, now,
- 1:41:10Speaker 6: imagine you being in this place of total darkness and
- 1:41:14Speaker 6: God still allows you to write and minister to people.
- 1:41:17Speaker 6: You in darkness, and you know you in darkness, but
- 1:41:20Speaker 6: you're still saying yes, Lord, as he brings. See. God
- 1:41:23Speaker 6: does things in stages. He gives you a little bit,
- 1:41:26Speaker 6: you move further, you move closer to him. You do
- 1:41:29Speaker 6: a little bit more, you move closer to him. Don't
- 1:41:34Speaker 6: discredit your journey, don't discredit your testimony. Love the person
- 1:41:38Speaker 6: that God has created you to be, You're not that
- 1:41:39Speaker 6: person anymore. If you have a relationship with Christ, you
- 1:41:43Speaker 6: are a new creation. The trauma has passed away, but
- 1:41:47Speaker 6: you gotta do the work. Old things have passed away.
- 1:41:50Speaker 6: Behold all things become them. So before I leave y'all,
- 1:41:53Speaker 6: let me give y'all few little things for trauma. The
- 1:41:55Speaker 6: tea stands for trusting the Lord Proverbs three five or six.
- 1:41:59Speaker 6: Trusting Lord with all your heart, and lead not to
- 1:42:01Speaker 6: your own understanding. Are take refuge in God. God is
- 1:42:05Speaker 6: our refuge and strength, a very present health of trouble.
- 1:42:07Speaker 6: That's Song forty six to one. The AA is abide
- 1:42:10Speaker 6: in his love. As the Father has loved me, so
- 1:42:12Speaker 6: have I loved you. Now remained in my love. That
- 1:42:15Speaker 6: means you got to live there. That's John fifteen or nine.
- 1:42:18Speaker 6: You gotta stay there. And didn't say visit his love.
- 1:42:20Speaker 6: It said remain in His love for you is understanding
- 1:42:24Speaker 6: his peace Philippians for Ad Sabbath says, and the peace
- 1:42:27Speaker 6: of God which surpasses all understanding. With God your hearts
- 1:42:31Speaker 6: and minds and Christ, Jesus ell mercy that restores. But
- 1:42:36Speaker 6: because of his great love for us, God, who is
- 1:42:39Speaker 6: rich in mercy, made us alive in Christ. That's Ephesians
- 1:42:43Speaker 6: chapter two, four through five. We have been made alive
- 1:42:46Speaker 6: because of the trauma. Trauma has pushed us places that
- 1:42:48Speaker 6: we would have never gone had we not been in
- 1:42:51Speaker 6: any type of situation. If we never had not a
- 1:42:53Speaker 6: nay trial or tribulation, we would not be sitting here.
- 1:42:57Speaker 6: We would still be in our comfort zone somewhere. But
- 1:43:00Speaker 6: there's something about charuma delights a fire up under you
- 1:43:03Speaker 6: that reveals God to you and the most intimate and
- 1:43:06Speaker 6: darkest times of your life that will propel you to
- 1:43:09Speaker 6: healing and finally a anchor your soul and hope. We
- 1:43:14Speaker 6: have this hope as a anchor for the soul, firma
- 1:43:16Speaker 6: secure and that is Hebrew six and nineteen. I need
- 1:43:20Speaker 6: you to get up today, dush yourself all cry if
- 1:43:23Speaker 6: you need to, screaming a pillow if you need to.
- 1:43:25Speaker 6: But I need you to get up because we don't.
- 1:43:28Speaker 6: We don't have to suffer from charma. God has come
- 1:43:31Speaker 6: that you may have life, and that you may have
- 1:43:33Speaker 6: it more abundantly. So trauma no more. I need you
- 1:43:37Speaker 6: to decree, declare trauma no more. I'm a new creation.
- 1:43:41Speaker 6: I am the head and not the tell I'm above
- 1:43:42Speaker 6: and not beneath. I am more than an overcomer and
- 1:43:45Speaker 6: the conqueror. To him who loved me. The word of
- 1:43:49Speaker 6: the Lord is blessed. Thank you for having me. Quein Angela.
- 1:43:58Speaker 4: Yea Unique press her way on, y'all.
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: She she.
- 1:44:04Speaker 4: Is in the background. Here she is. If she has
- 1:44:08Speaker 4: anything to say, we opened the floor to you. If
- 1:44:11Speaker 4: you have anything to say, Unique, we we thank you
- 1:44:15Speaker 4: for your press. Definitely show resilience. God knows what we
- 1:44:20Speaker 4: need when we need it. The floor is yours. If
- 1:44:23Speaker 4: you would like to share anything, can you hear me?
- 1:44:29Speaker 1: Unique, you're muted.
- 1:44:46Speaker 4: If you want to share, you can share something. We
- 1:44:49Speaker 4: can hear you. We can hear you.
- 1:44:56Speaker 6: Well, text, we can hear you.
- 1:45:00Speaker 4: You can go ahead and speak.
- 1:45:07Speaker 6: A lot of us are on mute says you're not
- 1:45:09Speaker 6: supposed to hear as we're just supposed to hear you.
- 1:45:10Speaker 4: Yeah, we're muted. Let me text her so she'll know
- 1:45:18Speaker 4: that we are muted.
- 1:45:43Speaker 6: I'm just hacking. So what do you want to say.
- 1:45:47Speaker 4: I'm just saying I can't do you guys, we hold on.
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: We're on mute, so we're not really talking. Uh oh,
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: she just went off, you.
- 1:46:15Speaker 4: Need you need, We're on mute. We're we're on mute.
- 1:46:19Speaker 4: Everybody that's on the line is on mute. But we
- 1:46:21Speaker 4: can hear you. So if you want to speak, you
- 1:46:23Speaker 4: can go ahead and speak. Just come back on. If
- 1:46:25Speaker 4: you want to speak, you can go ahead and speak.
- 1:46:28Speaker 4: I'm trying now, okay.
- 1:46:31Speaker 7: Okay, let's see if I can get me if I
- 1:46:39Speaker 7: can get okay, but we're muted, so you can just
- 1:46:43Speaker 7: come on and share.
- 1:46:52Speaker 4: She said she was gonna try to get back on,
- 1:46:54Speaker 4: y'all okay, but I definitely I thank you profit this
- 1:47:02Speaker 4: Monique for sharing. I think she may have dropped off.
- 1:47:08Speaker 4: I thank you for sharing, Danielle, I thank you for sharing.
- 1:47:15Speaker 4: I definitely needed to hear that. We're gonna let unique.
- 1:47:18Speaker 4: She's gonna try to get back on, and she comes
- 1:47:20Speaker 4: back on, We're gonna let her share for a moment,
- 1:47:22Speaker 4: and then before we close out, I want everybody to
- 1:47:27Speaker 4: make sure that you share how we can reach out

- 1:50:04Speaker 3: Facebook as either Alma Thomas or Alma Thomas author page.

- 1:50:14Speaker 3: my books. I have Dream Killers, From the Waiting Room
- 1:50:19Speaker 3: to the Recovery Room, Surviving a Stroke Against the Odds,
- 1:50:26Speaker 3: a Gratitude Book, and like I said, I'm presently teaching
- 1:50:32Speaker 3: a bachelor's class, so I'll be teaching Biblical counseling this
- 1:50:38Speaker 3: year and Christian counseling.
- 1:50:40Speaker 2: So and I'm a part.
- 1:50:42Speaker 3: Of the Crew podcast and you can listen to me
- 1:50:48Speaker 3: every first and third Wednesday everywhere that the Dude the
- 1:50:54Speaker 3: Crew podcast can be heard. Thank you once again, Queen Angela. Everything.
- 1:51:01Speaker 3: Let me give a brief testimony. Over the last two years,
- 1:51:07Speaker 3: I've been on over five hundred podcasts, sevends, and conferences.
- 1:51:14Speaker 3: And all of this started four years ago when I
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: asked Queen Angela to be part of the Crew podcast
- 1:51:24Speaker 3: and I was in a nursing home in the hospital.
- 1:51:28Speaker 3: Ben and At first, I said, you know, I don't
- 1:51:31Speaker 3: want to be seen like this or people gonna be
- 1:51:34Speaker 3: able to see God in me?
- 1:51:35Speaker 2: Are people gonna judge me?
- 1:51:37Speaker 3: Why is she know she's always talking about God, but
- 1:51:40Speaker 3: she's in that condition. But I said yes, and once
- 1:51:44Speaker 3: I said yes, God has opened up so many doors.
- 1:51:48Speaker 3: So I just want to celebrate Queen Angela for who
- 1:51:53Speaker 3: she is in my life. My dog is bought some
- 1:51:56Speaker 3: great and let me meet myself. God bless everybod I
- 1:52:00Speaker 3: have a blessed that.
- 1:52:02Speaker 4: Amen. Amen, Amen and Quinn.
- 1:52:04Speaker 3: Angel I'm sorry, but I have to go and soveg
- 1:52:07Speaker 3: men to be taken care of.
- 1:52:09Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:52:10Speaker 4: Thank you, thank you for joining us, Thank you for
- 1:52:12Speaker 4: joining us.
- 1:52:13Speaker 3: Thank you for inviting me, honor and humble. Ay man,
- 1:52:19Speaker 3: we have a great day, all right, bye bye Amen.
- 1:52:23Speaker 4: Sister Trevida. I'll go first and then you can go.
- 1:52:26Speaker 4: So I am Queen out Collaborations. Of course you can
- 1:52:32Speaker 4: google me. I'm on all platforms. I am the visionary
- 1:52:36Speaker 4: of this podcast, the Coup Podcast. I am the CEO
- 1:52:41Speaker 4: and founder of Aspiring offic magazine, Queen of Collaborations, Consultant
- 1:52:47Speaker 4: and life Coaching. I just believe that I have to
- 1:52:53Speaker 4: be the change that I want to see in this world.
- 1:52:56Speaker 4: So in doing that, God has given me all these outlets.
- 1:53:00Speaker 4: I just wanted to share his goodness because he raised
- 1:53:02Speaker 4: me up off my bed of affliction. He could have
- 1:53:04Speaker 4: took me out of here when I was deep in
- 1:53:06Speaker 4: my sind when I was laying on my bed of affliction,
- 1:53:08Speaker 4: but he saw fit enough to raise me up. And
- 1:53:11Speaker 4: all I wanted to do was share his goodness. So
- 1:53:13Speaker 4: I'm grateful for the platforms that he has allowed me.
- 1:53:16Speaker 4: Did I think I will be doing any of the
- 1:53:18Speaker 4: stuff that I'm doing To know, you're talking about a
- 1:53:20Speaker 4: little girl from Levelands, South Carolina, country girl. One way in,
- 1:53:23Speaker 4: one way out. They know nothing about none of this.
- 1:53:26Speaker 4: Everybody in my family, most of them work in a
- 1:53:27Speaker 4: plant a meal that was they aspirations. But I aspired
- 1:53:31Speaker 4: to do morespired. I aspired to break those generational persons.
- 1:53:35Speaker 4: Wanted to see something different so those that are coming
- 1:53:37Speaker 4: behind me could have a different outleok, that they can
- 1:53:40Speaker 4: have a different road that they didn't have to go
- 1:53:41Speaker 4: down those same roads. So I'm grateful for all of
- 1:53:44Speaker 4: the outlets that God has opened, that he has allowed
- 1:53:47Speaker 4: us to walk into. And I don't believe in accidents.
- 1:53:50Speaker 4: I don't believe in coincidence. I don't believe in happenstance.
- 1:53:53Speaker 4: I believe that this is all that is a part
- 1:53:55Speaker 4: of his plan, and we just have to align just
- 1:53:57Speaker 4: how to be in place so that we can walk
- 1:53:59Speaker 4: into it. Because he already know what the end is
- 1:54:02Speaker 4: gonna be. Because when he declared it, it's already declared.
- 1:54:05Speaker 4: That's past ten. I mean, it's already happened, So it's
- 1:54:07Speaker 4: already written. It's not gonna change. So even if we
- 1:54:11Speaker 4: step out the line, AHI, He's always gonna get us
- 1:54:14Speaker 4: back on track. So I thank him for every outlet.
- 1:54:17Speaker 4: I thankful for each and every one of you guys,
- 1:54:19Speaker 4: for just gracing the platform and allowing him to use
- 1:54:22Speaker 4: you and just allowing us to be who we are.
- 1:54:25Speaker 4: Of course, y'all can find me on link tree Queen
- 1:54:29Speaker 4: of Collaborations, and it has all of my links anywhere
- 1:54:32Speaker 4: that you want to find me. I am the publisher.
- 1:54:35Speaker 4: I have published and authored over one hundred and forty
- 1:54:39Speaker 4: something publications, whether magazine, book, or calendar journal, you name it.
- 1:54:46Speaker 4: I just want to be an outlet. I just want
- 1:54:48Speaker 4: people to be able to see God's goodness and I
- 1:54:51Speaker 4: don't want nobody telling my story, so I'm gonna tell
- 1:54:54Speaker 4: it all. I'm gonna go to the mountaintop and I'm
- 1:54:56Speaker 4: gonna shout it so that everybody can know, because it's
- 1:54:58Speaker 4: nothing that I've been through that I am ashamed of.
- 1:55:02Speaker 4: Because if it was not for what I have been doing,
- 1:55:04Speaker 4: those test trials and tribulations, I wouldn't be the person
- 1:55:06Speaker 4: that I am today. So I thank him and I
- 1:55:08Speaker 4: stopped telling people I'm glad I don't look like what
- 1:55:11Speaker 4: I've been through because I'm glad I look like this
- 1:55:14Speaker 4: because it took everything that I went through to make
- 1:55:17Speaker 4: me who I am today. So thank you for allowing
- 1:55:20Speaker 4: me to be the person that I am. And I'm
- 1:55:23Speaker 4: so glad that I look like I look. Yeah, there
- 1:55:26Speaker 4: you go, Tavita.
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: Well, I want to thank you for allowing me to
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: host this. I know in the beginning when we started this,
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: this was only supposed to be a one time thing.
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: But after the end, before we got to the end,
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: I felt in my spirit that this was gonna be
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: a series, and we have turned it into just that
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: because this is something that needs to be discussed a
- 1:55:53Speaker 1: lot more than what it ever had been. And so
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: this is number three. So number four is coming. I
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: ain't sure when, but I'm just gonna.
- 1:56:03Speaker 4: Go ahead and break it to you live on there.
- 1:56:05Speaker 4: It's not just gonna be a a a fourth or
- 1:56:09Speaker 4: fourth part, but it's gonna be a live part. So
- 1:56:12Speaker 4: people gonna be able to come and we're gonna do
- 1:56:15Speaker 4: this live. So getting in six, it's gonna be live.
- 1:56:18Speaker 4: We don't know where we're gonna be at, but we're
- 1:56:20Speaker 4: gonna be somewhere and if people are gonna be able
- 1:56:23Speaker 4: to come out, we're gonna be able to fellowship and
- 1:56:24Speaker 4: we able, we're gonna be able to see hand in
- 1:56:27Speaker 4: hand and watch.
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: God move and listen. I'm I'm here for it.
- 1:56:32Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: I am grateful that God designed our paths to connect
- 1:56:37Speaker 1: in the way that he did, because since our connection,
- 1:56:40Speaker 1: it has blossomed into something more than I even ever imagine,
- 1:56:45Speaker 1: because I didn't think I would be speaking in front
- 1:56:48Speaker 1: of people or doing anything that I'm doing. And so
- 1:56:51Speaker 1: it's an honor to be part of the Crew podcast.
- 1:56:54Speaker 1: My show airs every second every second Thursday and fourth
- 1:56:59Speaker 1: Sunday of the month, and at eight o'clock.
- 1:57:04Speaker 4: It switched up every second.
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: Thursday Thursday of the month. Look, I don't got it
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: all mixed up, but y'all see me when I'm on
- 1:57:14Speaker 1: the So the next show that I have is August
- 1:57:19Speaker 1: to tenth, and I don't think I have a guest,
- 1:57:22Speaker 1: which I don't necessarily care if I have one or not,
- 1:57:25Speaker 1: simply because I want to talk about this journey of
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: stepping out of my own comfort zone and my healing
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: journey through the writing of this last book, which was
- 1:57:38Speaker 1: in honor of my mom. So that's that's my idea
- 1:57:41Speaker 1: for this upcoming show. It's getting myself out of my
- 1:57:44Speaker 1: space and you know, being doing what God told me
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: to do. Anyway. But you can find me on Facebook,
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: you can google me, Trevina Harris. I'm gonna pop up
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: my Instagram is the same thing. Wings of Transformation is
- 1:57:59Speaker 1: my publishing. I've published for a few people now, it's
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: still growing. I'm still learning. I'm grateful for people and
- 1:58:07Speaker 1: trusting me with their vision to make it a reality
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: for them. And it's an honor to watch them go
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: from an idea and putting it forth into a tangible
- 1:58:21Speaker 1: thing that they can actually reach out and touch and
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: be proud of themselves. Because when I started my own
- 1:58:26Speaker 1: journey I had no clue, and I had people plate send,
- 1:58:30Speaker 1: you know, their own insecurities on me, and I didn't
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: fall for their insecurities. I kept going because people would
- 1:58:37Speaker 1: always say, well, I wouldn't put my name on this,
- 1:58:40Speaker 1: and I wouldn't put my name on that. Well, it's
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: never your assignment that you're gonna put your name on
- 1:58:44Speaker 1: something that doesn't belong to you, So it's not your assignment.
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: It's not going to be your name on there anyway.
- 1:58:50Speaker 1: So if your name ain't attached to my assignment, you
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: ain't gonna put your name on it anyway because it
- 1:58:55Speaker 1: ain't yours. Everything is not supposed to be perfect when
- 1:58:58Speaker 1: you're walking with God, because God is the only perfect
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: being there is. So if you're doing what God has
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: called you to do, it was already perfect when you
- 1:59:06Speaker 1: started it. It doesn't need anybody else's stamp of approval.
- 1:59:11Speaker 1: It only needs God's stamp. So if you're doing what
- 1:59:13Speaker 1: God has called you to do, just make sure that
- 1:59:16Speaker 1: you're staying focused and true to what God is calling
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: you to do, because when you do that, God is
- 1:59:21Speaker 1: gonna blow your mind in so many ways that you
- 1:59:23Speaker 1: never even imagine. Because when you're walking with him. He's
- 1:59:27Speaker 1: gonna show you everything that He's put in you. There's
- 1:59:30Speaker 1: a purpose for it. There's a reason for God doesn't
- 1:59:33Speaker 1: do anything without a purpose. So if you understand that
- 1:59:36Speaker 1: God is God and he's doing everything that he's taking
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: you through for a purpose, trust him in the process
- 1:59:44Speaker 1: because it's for your greater good. Because God is God
- 1:59:49Speaker 1: all by himself, he knows exactly what he's doing, and
- 1:59:52Speaker 1: it is not by a circumstance. It's all by God's design.
- 1:59:55Speaker 1: God designed for us to be here today. God wanted
- 1:59:59Speaker 1: us all here for this moment. The times that you're
- 2:00:02Speaker 1: supposed to show up in places and spaces, and even
- 2:00:04Speaker 1: if you're running late and you still get to that destination,
- 2:00:07Speaker 1: it's because God designed for you to be You arrive
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: at the time that God assigned for you to be there.
- 2:00:13Speaker 1: If it's supposed to be twelve oh one and you
- 2:00:16Speaker 1: get there at twelve oh two, it's because God said
- 2:00:19Speaker 1: you were supposed to be there at twelve oh two,
- 2:00:21Speaker 1: not twelve oh one. You are going to be seen
- 2:00:23Speaker 1: and heard by the people that need to see and
- 2:00:25Speaker 1: hear you. So never feel like you're invisible, you're unseen,
- 2:00:29Speaker 1: or you're unheard. God puts people in front of you
- 2:00:32Speaker 1: who need to see and hear you when it's time
- 2:00:35Speaker 1: for you to be seen and heard. So never fall
- 2:00:37Speaker 1: short of anything that God is telling you to do.
- 2:00:40Speaker 1: You are seen. Don't put no timeline, no expiration day,
- 2:00:44Speaker 1: because God is the only one that can give you
- 2:00:46Speaker 1: an expiration day. And if He ain't called you forth
- 2:00:48Speaker 1: to come home, then you still got work to do.
- 2:00:51Speaker 1: So whatever you want between your date of birth and
- 2:00:53Speaker 1: the day that God decides to call you home, that's
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: your dash. That's your moment to live and sie and
- 2:00:59Speaker 1: glorify His name. So keep walking in the purpose in
- 2:01:01Speaker 1: which God has for you. This was the matters of
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: the heart. But God has something greater. Everything that we
- 2:01:07Speaker 1: said today, if it touched your heart in a way
- 2:01:09Speaker 1: that it needed to be touched, it was because you
- 2:01:11Speaker 1: were meant to hear it today. So keep walking and
- 2:01:14Speaker 1: stay the course, and stay focused on what God has
- 2:01:16Speaker 1: for you, because I promise you, if you trust and
- 2:01:19Speaker 1: believe in God, He's going to give you everything that
- 2:01:22Speaker 1: you need walking forward. So stay the course. Don't look
- 2:01:25Speaker 1: behind you because everything that you went through is behind
- 2:01:28Speaker 1: you for a reason. He doesn't give you a windshield
- 2:01:31Speaker 1: in the back of your car. He gives you a
- 2:01:32Speaker 1: windshield in the front. So you stay focused on where
- 2:01:35Speaker 1: you're going, not where you being, because everything that you
- 2:01:38Speaker 1: have been through is bringing you forth to where you're going.
- 2:01:41Speaker 1: So stay the course, stay focused, and let God transform
- 2:01:44Speaker 1: your life in a way that you never imagine. That's
- 2:01:47Speaker 1: all that to say.
- 2:01:48Speaker 4: Amen, prophet is Monique, can you pray us out? Can
- 2:01:52Speaker 4: you pray us out? And after profitt is Monique pray
- 2:01:54Speaker 4: us out, we gown y'all, So everybody, y'all have a
- 2:01:57Speaker 4: great evening.
- 2:01:59Speaker 6: So Father, we just thank you for the matters of
- 2:02:01Speaker 6: the heart. Father, you say it, out of our hearts
- 2:02:03Speaker 6: flow the issue of life, so to guard it with
- 2:02:06Speaker 6: all diligence. We thank you for the transparency and the
- 2:02:09Speaker 6: healing and the deliverance that has taken place today. For
- 2:02:12Speaker 6: the encouragement for the revelation. Now, Father, bless us in
- 2:02:15Speaker 6: our respective places and ministry. Bless us throughout our days
- 2:02:19Speaker 6: as we journey on to do what you have called
- 2:02:21Speaker 6: us to do. And let us always remember, Father, God,
- 2:02:24Speaker 6: that we have more years behind us than we have
- 2:02:25Speaker 6: in front of us. So to make haste to do
- 2:02:28Speaker 6: what you have called us to do. Give us the strength,
- 2:02:30Speaker 6: courage and the wisdom to forge your head. Because we
- 2:02:33Speaker 6: are in some dangers at evil times, but you're still God.
- 2:02:36Speaker 6: You still love us, you still protect us, you still
- 2:02:38Speaker 6: provide for us.
- 2:02:38Speaker 4: And for that we say thank you.
- 2:02:40Speaker 6: We lift up Queen Angela, Lord God, as she continues
- 2:02:43Speaker 6: the vision that you have given her. No matter who
- 2:02:45Speaker 6: comes or who goes, Father, she still forges ahead. Continue
- 2:02:48Speaker 6: to bless her body. Father, give her strength. Father, open
- 2:02:51Speaker 6: new doors even for everybody else under the sound of
- 2:02:53Speaker 6: my voice who has joined this platform. We just thank
- 2:02:56Speaker 6: you for all that you are doing and have done.
- 2:02:59Speaker 6: Will continue to testify and tell people that you are God,
- 2:03:03Speaker 6: and that you are good, and that you do exactly
- 2:03:05Speaker 6: what you say you do, and that your word will
- 2:03:07Speaker 6: not return void. We thank you, Lord for all of
- 2:03:10Speaker 6: these things in Jesus name.
- 2:03:11Speaker 4: Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen,
