Latest / The Slippery Slope / Australia’s Fight for Free Speech: A Victory Against Censorship
Transcript
- 0:00Well, thanks to every single person who stood up, who
- 0:03contacted the MPs, shared posts, lobbied to defeat Albanese's
- 0:08draconian hate speech laws. This wasn't just about policy,
- 0:12this was about preserving the freedom to speak truth,
- 0:16especially when that truth is unpopular.
- 0:19If this legislation had passed, I believed it would have been a
- 0:23critical step towards silencing Christians, criminalizing
- 0:27dissent, and jailing those who speak up for the truth.
- 0:32Let's be clear, I will never stop defending human rights in
- 0:36this nation, speaking up for human rights, and no matter what
- 0:40restrictions they try to place on our speech, no matter what
- 0:44threats they make. Here's the irony.
- 0:47One of the reasons this legislation didn't pass is
- 0:51because the Greens didn't think it went far enough.
- 0:54They wanted more control, more censorship, more power to
- 0:58criminalize Christian belief. So just let that sink in for a
- 1:03second. As Australians, we must fight
- 1:05for our country to remain democratic and free.
- 1:08We must speak boldly, we must stand for truth.
- 1:12And we must never let fear silence conviction.
- 1:15Because if we don't speak now, we may not be allowed to speak
- 1:18at all. This is all my opinion.
- 1:22As always, I'm Jay Fallon, please like and share.
- 1:27Thanks for listening to the slippery slope.
- 1:29This is good news for Australia.
