- 1:03Speedy, are you OK tonight? Are you all right?
- 1:04I'm in a frenzy but. Well, what's wrong with you?
- 1:07Love it, loving. Loving.
- 1:08Well, what makes you in a frenzy?
- 1:10All the changes we have to deal with before the show.
- 1:11There's a lot of changes. I mean, did you change your
- 1:13underwear today? I mean, I put them on.
- 1:15That implies changing them. Well, that's true.
- 1:17What did you clean them? Like yes, I washed them.
- 1:20All right. Did you wash them with soap?
- 1:23What are you using the laundry? Yes, of course, not all the
- 1:26time. I mean, people don't do that.
- 1:27Am I going? To put oil in the laundry?
- 1:28Absolutely. Vinehorn is a man.
- 1:31Well, I, as we all know anyways. Ladies and gentlemen, we call
- 1:35this Goodies Bag of balls. My mom is going to wire a car
- 1:39battery on my testicles trying to put Tiger Bomb on this
- 1:42jungle's nuts Goodies bag of balls.
- 1:45That's how you become great man and your balls out there.
- 1:50He tastes himself. Oh man, what's up fellas?
- 1:53I. Was the working?
- 1:55I was good. Yeah, it was good.
- 1:57You've been busy, man. You have a busy man.
- 2:01My wife, My wife had like 4 cubic yards of I don't think she
- 2:06realized how much 4 cubic yards are or is of mulch delivered
- 2:11today. And I had enough.
- 2:14I, I, I laid all the mulch, but I had enough mulch to pretty
- 2:18much do my house, the neighbor's house, the next door neighbor's
- 2:21house, and then neighbor's house after that wasn't delivered in
- 2:24bags either. The guy backed the dump truck up
- 2:26to my front driveway and just went so for like 6 hours today
- 2:30because I'm stubborn and was just like I'll just do it
- 2:32myself. I got to give you.
- 2:34Credit And you know, could you imagine seeing Nick Goody press
- 2:39out mulch all over his you know, his beautiful you know his
- 2:43beautiful gardens. I couldn't imagine seeing that I
- 2:46know Jabba would never do that. I I can tell you that right now
- 2:49he would be spinning the wheel. What?
- 2:51Happened. I don't mind getting my hands
- 2:53dirty doing yard where I don't like pulling weeds, but it's
- 2:56like I think that's the worst job.
- 2:58But like I don't mind that that was OK.
- 3:00Like that was I, it was, it was like it was legit a workout.
- 3:03Like my back sore. I will say this.
- 3:05And my, my buddy was like, you don't got a wheelbarrow.
- 3:08I'm like, no, I have a wheelbarrow.
- 3:09I'm just gonna shovel it. And quickly I was like, yeah,
- 3:12Nah, that ain't gonna work. So I got a bucket just filled up
- 3:15the like probably filled up like 400 buckets.
- 3:18Oh. My God, the one thing I like to
- 3:21do, I like the hard labor I like to do is bricklaying.
- 3:23That's something that I really always enjoy to do because
- 3:27that's how my grandparents always gave me money.
- 3:29I had to do something in the yard and I was like, oh, I'm
- 3:31going to learn how to lay some bricks.
- 3:32And I actually taught myself how to lay bricks.
- 3:35I created brick patios. I did all different styles,
- 3:39diamonds and squares and all this stuff, different stuff that
- 3:42I did when I was a kid. I could probably be a really
- 3:45good bricklayer, but that's just me.
- 3:46I don't know. It's hard.
- 3:48I got 3 bricks that are coming up in my driveway if you want to
- 3:50come down here and. Maybe, I mean, I could, I could
- 3:53help you out. I can help you out.
- 3:54I'm pretty good at it. So anyways, all right, goody,
- 3:57let's get it. All right, I think Fish briefly
- 4:01touched up on this one, but this is what's been the big biggest
- 4:04headline, another tow job as of late, and that's Tony Vitello
- 4:08leaving Tennessee to manage the San Francisco Giants in the
- 4:12Major League Baseball, which would be, I think, the first
- 4:17time in history a college coach goes straight from college to
- 4:21the big leagues. There's been a lot of backlash,
- 4:24I think from former players. But knowing Buster Posey as a
- 4:31former player, probably future Hall of Famer, I know he did his
- 4:33due diligence. And Tony Vitello gets very well
- 4:36known for his player development pedigree and his ability to run
- 4:41basically raw players out of high school and getting them at
- 4:44Tennessee and Major League ready.
- 4:45He's also very well known for his leadership in the clubhouse
- 4:48and where he blends old school intensity with with more a
- 4:52data-driven preparation, which I think a lot of MLBT actually, I
- 4:56know for a fact a lot of MLB teams are starting to go back to
- 5:00that where there's a old school mentality mixed with data and
- 5:05not so data heavy driven. He has swagger.
- 5:08We saw him in the College World Series jumping in into the
- 5:11stands with the fans and what he did at Tennessee was really
- 5:15build a culture and, and Tennessee was a national brand,
- 5:19but I think it really started becoming a a national brand
- 5:23under him. He's high energy, he's confident
- 5:26and unapologetic. And I think, I think that's the
- 5:30type of energy and and culture that needs to be in more Major
- 5:34League clubhouses. Well, I don't know Tony
- 5:37personally, but I know who Bruce Bocchi is.
- 5:39And who is Bruce Bocchi? Well, he was a player developer
- 5:43and he was very enthusiastic. All the players loved him and
- 5:48and he brought that, that personality to him.
- 5:51And I could see Brusta, Busta, Posey, Posey, who was a part of
- 5:54those championships teams, who was a part of those giant teams
- 5:58with Bruce Bocchi, could probably look at Tony as
- 6:01something of that magnitude, a guy that can player, develop
- 6:04younger players and bring these guys up slowly and, and train
- 6:07them. So I, I, if, if, if to me,
- 6:10Buster Posey thinks that this guy is going to be a slam dunk.
- 6:15I'm, I'm not going to argue with him.
- 6:16So I think this is a good move for them.
- 6:18It's an interesting gap. I think when you look at like
- 6:20between baseball, like it's probably the longest it comes up
- 6:23for a younger player, like a college age player going to the
- 6:25major leagues or somebody coming from Dominican or Puerto Rican
- 6:29ball, something like that at 16 years old.
- 6:31So that's where you wonder, maybe that's why the higher
- 6:33hasn't been done yet. It's not like you could just
- 6:35transition from college basketball to the NBA in just a
- 6:37year or so, be a one and done type player.
- 6:39But I think for a team like the Giants, I think it might make
- 6:42sense because they're a younger team.
- 6:43They're trying to get these prospects to work and a lot of
- 6:45the times they've done it well, but at the same time, their farm
- 6:48system's still ranked low. They're just making it work with
- 6:50competitive pitching and scrappy hitters.
- 6:52So I think it's an interesting dynamic.
- 6:54I could see it working out and being transcendent for.
- 6:56Baseball Danny Hurley was there with Connecticut for what one
- 6:59year wins the national championship?
- 7:00I think it was your three, but yeah, it was like pretty fast.
- 7:03Danny Hurley would have been an NBA coach pretty quickly.
- 7:06And to think that it's the first time for everything.
- 7:09There's the first time for everything, for everything.
- 7:11So to say that, oh, it's not, this doesn't make sense and
- 7:14players are upset about it, it's stupid.
- 7:17I've seen it many, many times in different sports.
- 7:19Look at soccer European, European football, there was a a
- 7:23guy that was coaching a national team for one year and he got one
- 7:27of these big jobs out there in Europe and, and got one of the
- 7:30big and coaching one of the biggest superstars in all of
- 7:33European football. So I I.
- 7:36To me, I think it's an interesting move.
- 7:38I think probably he's taking a pay cut to go to the major
- 7:41leagues from college, which is crazy to say.
- 7:43Not sure how official that is, but from what I've read that's
- 7:46what it seems to be. And a lot of people are like,
- 7:49why would you do that? I mean, but it's every kids
- 7:52dream to play for a World Series.
- 7:54And he's getting a chance to do it in San Francisco under Buster
- 7:58Posey and going straight from college to the big leagues.
- 8:02It's probably a little bit of a pay cut where he's making, I
- 8:04don't know what he's making a couple million and at Tennessee
- 8:07now, let's say he makes a million in the in in San
- 8:10Francisco. I think that I think it's
- 8:12probably his contract got a little bit to do with it too.
- 8:14Where you know, he wasn't going to go ride the bus in AAA for,
- 8:19you know, whatever 150 grand like they had to make it worth
- 8:23it. And they already have a guy that
- 8:26went to Tennessee that's on the team.
- 8:28I can't remember his name, but I know he likes being choked in
- 8:31the in the dugout by Chapman. It's a funny video.
- 8:34If you haven't checked and saw that or I highly recommend you
- 8:37check that out. He's, I think he's an
- 8:39outfielder. So, you know, there's, there's
- 8:42some rapport there with his, with some of the players, but I
- 8:45think it's an interesting move. I am kind of, I am going to
- 8:49watch them closely next year and, and kind of see how that
- 8:52plays out. But I'm not mad at it.
- 8:56I'm not mad at it. I think it opens the door for
- 8:58more players or more coaches to make that adjustment.
- 9:02I know that a lot of the guys within that organization who
- 9:05have been there for years probably feel a little salty
- 9:07about it because they've put in their time.
- 9:10So I know what they, you know, I have an understanding what they
- 9:12probably are going through, but at the same time there's 29
- 9:16other teams so. Don't be afraid to.
- 9:18I love it. I love it.
- 9:20I think the Giants that they've done it before, they've won
- 9:23championships before and why not look out-of-the-box?
- 9:26I think obviously Buster Posey knows what he's doing and I'm
- 9:29not. I'm not going to attack anything
- 9:31that he does until he proves to me that he can't do it and
- 9:34handle it. So I think this might be a slam
- 9:36dunk for them. We'll see how it works.
- 9:38No, and I'll just add it made it made me think of because it
- 9:41never happened anywhere else right in baseball, but it made
- 9:45me think of the last time a guy that at least got to the
- 9:47national championship and then immediately was brought out to
- 9:51the like the biggest team. It made me think of Brad
- 9:53Stevens. Brad Stevens was in the national
- 9:55championship game versus Duke. Gordon Hayward misses the bank
- 9:58shot from half court or else they win that national
- 10:00championship. It was that close.
- 10:03And then he goes to the Celtics and now he's the president of
- 10:05the Celtics. You know, why couldn't it happen
- 10:07with this guy, you know? Back-to-back years, he went to
- 10:10the national championship. I mean, he, he established
- 10:13himself in a similar way as Vitello did, going three times,
- 10:17you know, in, in what, four or five years to the same thing?
- 10:20I have a bit of Billy Donovan. Billy Donovan did the same
- 10:23thing. Billy Donovan, too.
- 10:25Yeah, it's been there's, there's precedent just in other sports,
- 10:27you know? And Billy Donovan won
- 10:29back-to-back championships for Florida, but.
- 10:31It can happen. I think the biggest difference
- 10:33is baseball. There's so many levels where in
- 10:36other sports they're not. And so you really have to like
- 10:40earn your stripes and college is not professional, but now it's
- 10:45kind of is. Now you're getting paid to play.
- 10:47You're a free agent every year. The coaches have to recruit, you
- 10:51know, but the, the pro baseball is drastically different from
- 10:57college baseball in a lot of in a lot of ways.
- 10:59I mean, at the end of the day, it's still the same game, but
- 11:02there's a lot of things that are different.
- 11:04There's a lot of things you can do in pro baseball you can't do
- 11:06in college baseball and vice versa.
- 11:08And it's like 1/5. Of the size of the season too,
- 11:10so you're playing other strategy A.
- 11:12Lot different. A lot, A lot.
- 11:14Yeah, exactly. And like, he's going to have to
- 11:16learn how to run a bullpen where you have to run a bullpen every
- 11:19single day, which I think is going to be a very big
- 11:22adjustment because you don't just have, you can't just run
- 11:25out the same guy for set. I mean, you can seven days in a
- 11:28row, but probably not going to last very long, right?
- 11:31Like you have to, you know, there's a lot of strategy that's
- 11:33going to be involved. So it'd be interesting to see.
- 11:35I'll do the next one. This one's a little lighter.
- 11:38Halloween is coming up. So I wanted to give a little
- 11:40back story on this. I had to ask the old ChatGPT
- 11:43what what Halloween was about. And so this is what it says.
- 11:47Halloween traces back over 2000 years to the ancient Celtic
- 11:51festival Hey and Pronounced Sawin, celebrated in Ireland,
- 11:58Scotland and parts of England. The Celts believed that on
- 12:01October 31st the boundary between the living and the dead
- 12:04blurted spirits could roam the earth of Christianity spread.
- 12:07The holiday was adapted into All Hallows Eve preceding All Saints
- 12:12Day. All right, so costumes
- 12:15originally worn to disguise people from wandering spirits.
- 12:18Over time, this evolved into dressing up for fun, from
- 12:20frightening to pop culture themes.
- 12:22And then the trick or treating rooted in the medieval Souling
- 12:25practice where poor people would go door to door offering prayers
- 12:28for the dead in exchange for food.
- 12:32It eventually transformed into children receiving candy.
- 12:35So what I wanted to know is what are your Halloween traditions?
- 12:39It's coming up on Friday for me and our family.
- 12:44We usually just will throw a bucket out at the front of the
- 12:46driveway with a bunch of candy in it and go around, go around
- 12:50to each of our neighbors and, and the kids usually dress up.
- 12:53Sometimes we'll, my, my wife and I will dress up.
- 12:56But this year I think we're, we're, we're going to chill.
- 12:59A lot of lot of these families do like jello shots for the
- 13:02adults, maybe some trulys. But this year, my oldest son is
- 13:08dressing up as a, what is it? A Black Mirror ninja is what
- 13:14it's called. And then my youngest son,
- 13:17Grayson, is dressing up as Optimus Prime.
- 13:20So we're in good hands. What are your Halloween
- 13:24traditions? My Halloween traditions is not
- 13:26to get dressed and when I was a kid I used to sit on top of my
- 13:30roof with a pellet gun and shoot people.
- 13:32So that was my holiday traditions for Halloween.
- 13:36If you were to ask me what I do now.
- 13:38He just, he just admit to a crime.
- 13:41But what I do? Statute of limitations I.
- 13:44Think, but what I do now, you know, I'm usually working, I'm
- 13:47usually DJ ING Halloween parties and I, I, I stay away from the
- 13:51candy because every time I see it in the bucket, I'm trying to
- 13:54eat it. So I, I and I've been very, very
- 13:57good with the candy and staying away from it.
- 13:59So I stay away from the candy. So I'm just partying and I'm the
- 14:03party and I stay away from all the other stuff.
- 14:05I'm doing weddings, baby weddings.
- 14:08Obviously different, different like phases of your life.
- 14:10I I dressed up for a while, probably up until I think my
- 14:12junior year of high school. You're not dressed up as a
- 14:14sausage this year. No, I'm definitely not dressing
- 14:17up as a sausage. The jokes will on this show will
- 14:20write itself way too much. If I ever did that in college,
- 14:23obviously. A dark sausage.
- 14:24Obviously I did. I did a couple parties, but
- 14:27goody. One thing that's interesting,
- 14:28since I've moved here to Long Island, I've sometimes gone to
- 14:32my cousin's house. With they.
- 14:33Love. They love a lot of video games,
- 14:35or a lot of them are nerdy. So.
- 14:38They've had me dress up in some of their costumes.
- 14:39Too but one thing. They've done is actually made
- 14:41some like meals that were actually like really like.
- 14:45He tastes. Like shaped like a mummy or
- 14:48there was one that was I think a pot roast in the shape of a
- 14:50ghoul or something like that. So they've actually done very.
- 14:53Treated things. With that, which has been cool.
- 14:54I haven't been there in a couple years with that, with them, with
- 14:56the Halloween, but I've showed you some photos Goody.
- 14:58They're actually some very, very interesting.
- 15:00Can't wait of things. And so this is what I do.
- 15:05This is a picture of the costume I wear in school.
- 15:08And then I take and I have this whole cloak.
- 15:12This is called the Plague Dr. Back in the 1600s when you had
- 15:15the plague, the guy would walk around like this because they
- 15:17thought he wouldn't get the plague if he didn't smell it.
- 15:20So they had this big like crazy nose and it's one of the
- 15:24creepiest looking things you ever had.
- 15:26So then I play the Undertaker theme song music in my pocket
- 15:29and walk around a little real slow and then like tilt my head
- 15:32sideways and mess with kids. And the kids are always like
- 15:36acting like they're not scared. And then like I sneak up on them
- 15:39and they all just like freak out sex.
- 15:41Not every school is cool with it.
- 15:42I'm not doing it this year. I I.
- 15:46And that's why. You know, my insurance is pretty
- 15:49good right now. I'm not doing it this year, but
- 15:53I actually have a football game on Halloween this year, so I'm
- 15:57not going to be able to partake in the usual festivities.
- 16:00But I have a lot of fun. Got to dress up, got to go all
- 16:03out. That's if you're going to do it,
- 16:05you might as well go all out, you know?
- 16:06If I if I ever saw you wear that costume, I kicked the shit out
- 16:09of you. I really would you.
- 16:11Would be I'd scared people. Listen, I understand in high
- 16:14school, they had to wheel you out like Hannibal Lecter one
- 16:16year. I I get it, you know, like
- 16:19because the teachers just couldn't handle it.
- 16:21The worst student in the history of the high school in Long
- 16:24Island. So I'll tell you something
- 16:26funny. I did a wedding last year.
- 16:27It was they all dressed up. So the bride and groom and
- 16:31everybody had to dress up for the wedding.
- 16:33It was the weirdest wedding and they dressed up.
- 16:35What was that movie that? Eyes wide shut.
- 16:38No, no, no. No, yeah, that's kind of what
- 16:40that mask is like, that kind of. Reminds it was a Tim Burton
- 16:43movie. It was a Tim Burton movie and.
- 16:47Corpse Bride or something? Yes, yes, that's how they,
- 16:50that's how they dressed up. And that's weird.
- 16:52It was weird. It was a weird, weird wedding
- 16:56and I I'll never forget. I was taking a piss.
- 16:58I'm not, I'm never going to forget.
- 17:00And they had the lights at the at the catering hall.
- 17:03They had the lights dimmer out. And some guy dressed up in a
- 17:06werewolf costume jumped right behind me when I was taking a
- 17:08piss. And I pissed all over my pants,
- 17:11pissed all over my pants. I walked out and I had pissed
- 17:15all over my pants. And this guy's thought it was
- 17:17funny. I was.
- 17:18Saying just just, you know, next time that happens, wash your
- 17:21hands. And I did wash my pants.
- 17:24And then just put them on your pants and just be like damn the
- 17:27the the. This happens to me all the time.
- 17:29Dude, it's freaking. Awesome blew up on me.
- 17:32Who jumps on you? Who jumps on your back when
- 17:34you're taking a piss? OK, I I mean, he's in a
- 17:37werewolf. I mean, I'm standing there and
- 17:39nobody, I didn't even hear anybody.
- 17:40He came out from the stall, saw me standing there and just
- 17:45jumped out on me when I was taking a piss.
- 17:48True story. Blue Jays just won, by the way,
- 17:50Yeah. Figures told you.
- 17:51By the way, who called this? Speedy?
- 17:54Who called Who called it? Yeah, that's right.
- 17:57That's right. I remember it.
- 17:59And by the way, how did how did the great Shay Otani do tonight?
- 18:03The greatest of all time? Yeah, that's what.
- 18:07He did. Don't.
- 18:07Let's not get. Greatest of all time the.
- 18:10Greatest is one of the greatest players.
- 18:12He's not the greatest, he's not the greatest player of all time.
- 18:14He hasn't done it for long enough, but he is one of the
- 18:16greatest. He's the best baseball player on
- 18:18the planet, right? Now for sure, Aaron.
- 18:21Judges, we don't have enough time to redo this one for.
- 18:23The Aaron Judges Aaron Judges, I disagree with you so.
- 18:28Listen, I love judgey, but judgey ain't pitching and
- 18:32hitting homers in the World Series.
- 18:34I've been trying to tell. I beg to differ.
- 18:36SO500500 he was. Actually, I think he said he.
- 18:41Was actually. He was actually hitting 500.
- 18:44He was, actually. Home runs and punched out 10 in
- 18:48six innings. Yeah, against the Brewers, not
- 18:50against the Blue Jays. Our Judge was hitting 500
- 18:53against these Blue Jays. I And by the way, look at the
- 18:56lineup on this. The Yankees have nobody, nobody
- 19:00look at the lineup. Dude their first four hitters
- 19:02were all former MVP. What do you mean they have
- 19:04nobodies? John Carlos Stanton is not the
- 19:06same player he wants. Was Belliger Belliger.
- 19:10Belliger was hitting 148. Belliger was batting 1:44
- 19:15throughout the playoffs. He's still an MVP of the league.
- 19:19He still can. Is getting paid because of that
- 19:21award well. He's not getting paid that.
- 19:24What do you think he's going to get paid in the?
- 19:25Office, he just took this opt out.
- 19:27I mean, he could have stayed. So clearly he thinks he's going
- 19:29to get paid. More he's wrong, so.
- 19:33I got, I got a feeling we're talking about that in a couple
- 19:36of weeks in great detail between the Yankees going for Tucker or
- 19:40for Bellinger with the the option of, I mean, you got to
- 19:44spend a little bit more money. But don't worry, as long as I,
- 19:47you know, I was right about this again.
- 19:49I mean, where is where's Keith? Because Keith thought I was
- 19:52nuts. But where was Keith?
- 19:54I think it's the blue. Jays Blue Jays have a high
- 19:56potent offense. They're they're.
- 19:58That's why I had them winning in seven.
- 20:02And the and the Dodgers, the Dodgers bullpen is if once you
- 20:06once you get to, I said it before the series, once you get
- 20:09to their bullpen, they are torched and the Blue Jays are
- 20:13just slugging everything. I mean, it doesn't matter if
- 20:18it's the starter. Besides, besides Yamamoto, I
- 20:21mean, that guy's incredible, but besides him, they've.
- 20:26Seen him, we'll see him on Game 6 so they might hit him too.
- 20:29But I think it's going, I think it's.
- 20:32Going, you know you're seeing Otani in relief in maybe both of
- 20:36those games. Good.
- 20:37And they'll hit him in Toronto and they'll hit.
- 20:40Him, that's all right. We're going to pivot from
- 20:42baseball to basketball. I looked this one up.
- 20:45I thought this was pretty interesting.
- 20:47Hopefully you guys can elaborate a little bit on this, but every
- 20:50year fans say the NBA draft lottery is fixed.
- 20:55Honestly, after digging in a little bit, it's hard not to see
- 21:00why people believe this. Right.
- 21:02The NBA benefits too much from perfect storylines for everyone
- 21:09to believe it. It's pure luck from what I read
- 21:12about the frozen envelope theory which started in 1985 when the
- 21:17Knicks landed Patrick Ewing and fans claim that the envelope was
- 21:21frozen so David Stern could feel it and rigged the draw for New
- 21:25York. I had no idea until I just look
- 21:28at that. Look that up.
- 21:29Seems pretty fishy to me. Apparently there's a
- 21:32transparency problem to the lottery isn't public.
- 21:35The results are revealed later on live TV, not drawn live,
- 21:38which I'm not sure why that would be but whatever.
- 21:42And then some of the storylines like LeBron to Cleveland, Zion
- 21:45to New Orleans right after Anthony Davis left, Winby to San
- 21:48Antonio, the same team that made international stars before.
- 21:53I don't know if it's a coincidence or marketing gold,
- 21:56but hopefully you can elaborate and fill me in on what the hell
- 22:00is going on with the NBA conspiracy theory here.
- 22:03After all of the gambling there is there's been brought to
- 22:08light. There's no conspiracy theory.
- 22:11Let's let's just look at the numbers here.
- 22:13Since Patrick Ewing went to the SuperSonics, the Knicks have
- 22:16been one of the worst teams in the NBA.
- 22:19They asked the Knicks how many first round picks they've had
- 22:22since Patrick Ewing. The answer?
- 22:25None. Is that a coincidence?
- 22:29They've had zero first round picks or first.
- 22:31Picks over picks #1 Picks overall.
- 22:35We have to clarify that you said first rounder.
- 22:37So you mean one guy, Everybody's got a first round pick number
- 22:40one pick number one pick in in the first.
- 22:43The last one they had was Patrick Ewing.
- 22:46Is that a quinky dink? No.
- 22:48If you go back in time and you think about all the different
- 22:51things that you just said, how about this?
- 22:54That really stands out more than anything.
- 22:57When you go back and you remember the Port and the Trail
- 22:59Blazers, do you remember how bad they were?
- 23:01I think I remember. How many first round picks have
- 23:04they had? One.
- 23:07Dude, I don't know. They've had one.
- 23:09They've had one, and you know how long that guy was in the
- 23:12NBA? One year, that was the Kevin
- 23:16Durant draft, Speedy. You remember who it was?
- 23:19Greg Oden, Greg Odin. That was oh, I.
- 23:22Remember that guy? That was the last first number
- 23:26one pick overall Portland got in in 20 something years.
- 23:31It's not a coincidence. Are you?
- 23:33Are you, is it a coincidence that Tim Duncan was drafted?
- 23:37I at that time, after David Robertson went down, they were
- 23:42expected to be the 8th or 9th worst team in the draft to get
- 23:45the 8, the number one pick. The chances of them getting the
- 23:47number one pick was like nothing.
- 23:49And they got Tim Duncan. It was coming from Wake Forest.
- 23:52You think that's a quinky dink? Now they get Webiyama, all the
- 23:55things they can't win. Kawhi Leonard's gone.
- 23:57This team stinks. Popovich is gone to get
- 23:59Webiyama. It's not a quinky dink.
- 24:02I'm telling you right now, it's absolutely land and the NBA
- 24:07knows it. The NHL, you saw what the NHL
- 24:09did last year. They did the draft right in
- 24:11front of everybody. They did the balls and
- 24:13everything like that. They wanted everybody to see the
- 24:15NHL. Who does it right?
- 24:16The NBA does not. The NBA is run by the league.
- 24:19It's run by the players. Just like this recent year.
- 24:23What Who got the No more Picks PD?
- 24:25This recent year, the Dallas Mavericks.
- 24:27And who traded away Luka Doncic that season?
- 24:30The LJA. That's right, Dallas.
- 24:33And they were getting Nico was getting attacked.
- 24:35He's the worst. Blah.
- 24:37Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 24:39And who did they get? They get the best guy in the
- 24:41draft. They get the number one pick.
- 24:42Now we'll see how he he pans out, but I it's it's not a
- 24:47Kwinky dink. It's it's planned.
- 24:48The NBA is absolutely a joke. Yeah, I've also always had a
- 24:52problem with the lottery system as it is like a team that is one
- 24:56game back. Like just based on the way the
- 24:57percentages are, 01 gets a drastically higher percentage
- 25:00than two and then I think 3 gets a highly drastic from 4 and vice
- 25:04versa. Like if you're one game back
- 25:06that shouldn't be that close. Like I always said, alright
- 25:08should be based on the amount of games back.
- 25:10Do a a sample of of ping pong balls or another randomness way
- 25:14to make it more fair. And same thing in hockey too.
- 25:16Like if if a team is 50 points and is the worst team in the
- 25:19league and a second is 52 points, they shouldn't have that
- 25:21drastically different of a percentage too.
- 25:23I like the randomness aspect of it.
- 25:25But like you're saying go to the NBA does not hide it very well.
- 25:27Like the teams that are going to get these more special
- 25:30treatments. So you say New Orleans you
- 25:32mentioned multiple times has gotten the number one pick
- 25:35whereas the team like the Trail Blazers like Arrow says doesn't
- 25:37get it. Jared in the comments is in the
- 25:39Grizzlies. They got a boost.
- 25:40John Moran. That was pretty much it.
- 25:42And he was the number two pick. But he was the number two pick.
- 25:44I think the Grizzlies had 7th Odd.
- 25:46So they kind of benefited with the randomness of it.
- 25:48But overall, like they've had worse years throughout their
- 25:51trajectory and haven't gotten. As you just got to think of the
- 25:53Knicks and know what's going on, the Knicks had Patrick Ewing and
- 25:57they haven't had the number one pick in the draft ever since it
- 26:01and they've been the worst team in the NBA from 2000 or 2001 on.
- 26:08Just look at the records. The Knicks have been horrible
- 26:10and they still. I thought they were good this
- 26:12year. Weren't they somewhat good?
- 26:13No. Well, in the last five years,
- 26:15they've. Turned it around.
- 26:16They've turned it around. But if you look at a 20 year
- 26:18span, the Knicks have been one of the worst, if not the worst
- 26:21team in the NBA. And if you look at the picks,
- 26:23they've had none of those guys practical, None of them are on
- 26:26the team. None of them so.
- 26:28We had the one really good mellow Amari year and that was
- 26:32it. Wasn't Porzingis?
- 26:33Wasn't Porzingis number? 4 But he he never really.
- 26:36Porzingis was #4 and and RJ Barrett was #3 in the John Moran
- 26:41draft and so. Two player.
- 26:43Draft the highest pick they've had in 20 years is #3 and they
- 26:49were the worst, so. So if that's true, how can this
- 26:53graphic also be true in four years in 20/11/2013 and 2014?
- 27:00Three times in four years the Cavaliers won the lottery, and
- 27:03they won eight years earlier than that to get LeBron James.
- 27:07I don't think that was a coincidence to me.
- 27:11I, I, I thought that the league was trying to stack Cleveland
- 27:16when LeBron left because they felt horrible that it destroyed
- 27:19their economic value. I think this was a concerted
- 27:22effort to get them #1 picks. And look what it gave them.
- 27:25Kyrie the and then Anthony Bennett, one of the worst first
- 27:29over over picks of all time, and Andrew Wiggins, who did not pan
- 27:32out with them. And let me ask you, out of all
- 27:35those years, how many championships have they won
- 27:37because of it? Well, they they won the one with
- 27:40LeBron when he came back, but not without him.
- 27:44Which is. 11 And they had Kyrie Irvin on that team one.
- 27:48But don't you think the league, you know, we're talking about
- 27:50like the league rigging it? I feel like they felt like
- 27:53because of LeBron leaving, they had to do that to help
- 27:56Cleveland. I don't know.
- 27:57That's just me. That's my conspiracy.
- 27:59I'm allowed to have conspiracies.
- 28:00Errol, you're for some reason shooting them all down this
- 28:03time. I'm the one saying there's a
- 28:05conspiracy you're talking about. I'm on, I'm on the ball side.
- 28:09There's no conspiracy. The NBA knows who's who's going
- 28:121234510. All the way to 10.
- 28:15That's the conspiracy. So you're saying it's rigged
- 28:17too? It's not a conspiracy.
- 28:19It's it's absolutely rigged. It's there's no conspiracy to
- 28:22it. It's absolutely rigged.
- 28:26I thought you were just saying the Knicks haven't gotten it in
- 28:2840 years so how can it be rigged?
- 28:30It is rigged. Yeah, I thought, yeah, you were
- 28:32a little. Yeah, I could.
- 28:33I didn't understand if you were saying it was or wasn't, but now
- 28:36it is. No, it is.
- 28:37All right, so we all agree that it's rigged.
- 28:39Speedy, are you on board with it's rigged?
- 28:40Are are you taking the high room?
- 28:42I think the majority of the years you can't it's tough to
- 28:44argue with the clusters of samples of the same teams.
- 28:48So I I think the like the NHL might be a little different
- 28:51Arrows, right. I think it's gotten better in
- 28:52recent years, but even them like Chicago getting as much as they
- 28:54did with the number of top 3 picks the Kings for a while did.
- 28:58Anybody think the Islanders were going to get the number one
- 29:00pick? I mean, come on, There was no
- 29:02chance. And, and, and the way they did
- 29:04the balls, you saw how the numbers and how they use the,
- 29:08the calculating, you know, statistic and, and it was
- 29:11unbelievable how the Islanders won the draft.
- 29:13They were the 10th worst team in the league.
- 29:15There was no chance. They get the one and they got
- 29:17lucky. It's just luck.
- 29:19Absolute luck. And then you get like the,
- 29:21you're going to have instances like that where teams like
- 29:23Buffalo and the Coyotes now the. And by the way, that that that
- 29:27guy right now is on his way of winning the defensive Player of
- 29:31the year. It's crazy how good Shaffer is
- 29:34right now for the Islanders. It's pretty amazing.
- 29:37It really is. How long?
- 29:38Do you buy extra large couch or are you just really small right
- 29:41now? You look like a child in that.
- 29:43No, it's an extra large couch. Absolutely.
- 29:45It's got to be like a. It's a big sure.
- 29:47Speedy is this big? This is not big, Yeah.
- 29:49It's it's the pimp. Pretty big chair, you said.
- 29:52It's a big chair, it's a big chair.
- 29:53It's my pimp. You just you just you just
- 29:55little pimpin. You ain't big pimpin, you little
- 29:57pimpin dude. I'm.
- 29:58Bigger than you. Shut up you.
- 30:01Shut up you, you smart ass. Wider, not bigger.
- 30:05I know it. First of all, I don't know how
- 30:07much wider you think I am. I'm 205.
- 30:10I'm just muscular. I'm muscular.
- 30:12That's not my fault. Listen, listen, when I flex, you
- 30:17know. Big bone, big bone I'm.
- 30:19I'm I'm not that big boned. I don't know where you coming up
- 30:21with big bones. I don't know where you see this.
- 30:24I, I, I definitely not big bones.
- 30:29I this guy is, he is so full of you know what I'm not even going
- 30:33to say. I'm going to the next segment.
- 30:35I'm already geared up for this next segment.
- 30:37I'm ready to. I'm ready to blow your mind.
- 30:39On this next one. Listen, you know he's ready to
- 30:41blow his load on this next segment, as we call this.
- 30:44What's that smell? Hold up.
- 30:46What is that smell? What's right?
- 30:54Smell. Wow, you don't see that every
- 30:55day. I like No Holds Barred.
- 30:57It's one of my favorite like wrestling movies and I don't
- 31:01know, a lot of people don't like it, but I liked it.
- 31:03I thought it was great. Anyways, it's pretty simple how
- 31:06we do this. We tell you a story, we pick a
- 31:09story, it doesn't matter what it's about and we tell you what
- 31:12it smells like. So tonight we're going to go
- 31:14with Mr. Jarrett first. No, actually we're going to.
- 31:18We'll go poops first, Jarrett second, Speedy third, Fish 4th,
- 31:25Goody 5th and me 6th. Here we go.
- 31:29On Monday night, the Grizzlies played the Warriors in the Bay
- 31:33Area. It was the start of the third
- 31:35quarter. Pretty close to the start of the
- 31:37third quarter. Draymond Green loses the ball.
- 31:40Bad turnover by him. Santhi Altamas on the fast
- 31:42break, Draymond does Draymond things.
- 31:45He grabs him by the neck, hold him to the ground, throws him
- 31:47into the basket. Technical foul on Draymond and
- 31:51coach Tomas Isilo for the Grizzlies and issuing argument
- 31:54afterwards. Rest review it, call a flagrant
- 31:56on Draymond. He can't believe it somehow
- 31:58because he tried to help to hold him up, which he he didn't do.
- 32:03Santheel Dama goes to the free throw line, misses both free
- 32:05throws and what does Draymond Green do?
- 32:08Acts like he just got got off with murder here.
- 32:11Starts skipping around, arms in the air, dancing all the while
- 32:15like he just like he like he was wrong somehow.
- 32:18Of course the referees let this go.
- 32:20No technical on Draymond for celebrating the guy missing 2
- 32:23flagrant free throws for him, grabbing him by the neck and
- 32:26throwing him down. What's it smell like?
- 32:28It smells like Shrek's bog or swamp.
- 32:31Because that's what Draymond looks like.
- 32:33He looks like Donkey from Shrek. He could never be that funny
- 32:37though. And in the morning, I'm eating
- 32:40some waffles, all right? Anyways, Draymond doesn't
- 32:42deserve waffles. All right, so we did kind of
- 32:45mention during the whip around last show about how poorly the
- 32:50Panthers were against the Bills. Now, they of course got blown
- 32:54out 40 to 6, I believe the score was.
- 32:56I don't think we ever stressed how terrible the performance of
- 33:00Mr. Andy Dalton was. Now, Mr. Andy Dalton, a guy who
- 33:03I used to like watching about 10 years ago when he was actually
- 33:06at the top of his form in the NFL.
- 33:09I think the Panthers, you know, them being on their three-game
- 33:12winning streak, you know, them actually getting some wins under
- 33:14their belt. Them actually knowing Bryce
- 33:16Young isn't going to be available.
- 33:18Try throwing in A10 plus year veteran for the game.
- 33:20You know it's been working out well for and they're not even
- 33:23better. He's not even a 10 plus year
- 33:24veteran. And Mac Jones, even Carson Wentz
- 33:27actually managed to win the Vikings a couple games.
- 33:29But Oh my God, I actually have a video here, so let's pull it up.
- 33:33If it would load, it's not loading for some reason.
- 33:35But anyways, man, oh man was his, was his performance
- 33:39terrible against the put Bills. He threw us.
- 33:43He threw himself a pick six. He threw himself multiple
- 33:45interceptions. There's even a part where he got
- 33:48sacked, costing them a field goal before the game, before the
- 33:51halftime. They tried rushing a hat, a
- 33:53quick little hurry up field goal, but it didn't end up
- 33:56working out well. He got it was just terrible on
- 33:58top of terrible. It was a part where he threw he
- 34:01threw a pick to a linebacker that was literally right in
- 34:03front of him. Not sure what that was about but
- 34:06Oh my God was his performance terrible.
- 34:07And I looked it up on ChatGPT. What is the smelliest thing in
- 34:11North Carolina? So it smells any Dalton's
- 34:14performance smells like a North Carolina hog farm combined with
- 34:19David Tepper's ass sweat. So there we go.
- 34:21Wow. So that's a concoction right
- 34:24there, Tommy. That is, Can you imagine
- 34:26drinking that? No, no, no, not at all.
- 34:30That's not what I'm trying to imagine.
- 34:32But I you know what? I can't imagine.
- 34:34I can't imagine going after a guy who just got huge contract
- 34:39to be the best defensive tackle in all of football.
- 34:42And that's what Giants legend Carl Banks did, going after
- 34:46those tackle Dexter Lawrence, saying that you know, he just
- 34:50hasn't been playing well, basically saying that he gave
- 34:53him a stinging critique, said that the people no longer
- 34:55respect Dexter Lawrence. He's not getting off blocks this
- 34:59year. He's only got a half a sack
- 35:01through this point in the season.
- 35:03Last year through 12 games before he got hurt, he had 9 1/2
- 35:07sacks. He is not producing the same way
- 35:10and Dexter Lawrence on that criticism, which a lot of people
- 35:15would say is valid criticism to an extent of Dexter Lawrence, He
- 35:18says that Carl Banks is delusional as if he doesn't know
- 35:21football. Carl Banks, those were strong
- 35:24words. If that's how he feels, F it.
- 35:27According to Dexter Lawrence, I got I get a lot of attention.
- 35:31Check those numbers saying that they're double teaming him a
- 35:34lot. In fact, he's tied for fourth
- 35:35highest in the NFL at 72.2%, double teamed, so fourth most in
- 35:41the league. The numbers do kind of show that
- 35:44he's getting the same kind of attention he got, so maybe Banks
- 35:47isn't right about that. But half a sack compared to 9
- 35:511/2 sacks around the same point in the season, not getting the
- 35:54same pressures. What does that smell like?
- 35:57I mean, it's a bunch of bullshit, Dexter, you're not
- 35:59playing that well this season. You're not you're having you
- 36:03were the best player in the world for the last two years on
- 36:06the interior line. Right now you're top 20.
- 36:09Maybe you're not that guy that you were you got to find a way.
- 36:12Maybe you're hurt, maybe you're banged up and fighting through
- 36:15it. We don't know that as fans, but
- 36:17to say that he's delusional when we can everyone can see the
- 36:20production is not there. What does that smell like?
- 36:23Well you're playing in New Jersey, the worst smelling thing
- 36:25in Jersey recently. If you guys have been seeing
- 36:28this, and I used to go to Long Beach Island, I'm on vacation in
- 36:32New Jersey and they're having you can't go outside there in
- 36:35early September as the end of the summer because there's been
- 36:37millions of fish washing up dead on the shore.
- 36:41And they say, like, you can't go outside because it smells so
- 36:44rancid. That's how bad I feel.
- 36:48That Dexter Lawrence, you're Weiner barf, Speedy.
- 36:51This stinks, man Own it. You need to play better.
- 36:55Did I say your sex part? I was like mine last week when I
- 36:58did the Was it the dead koi fish in Lake Erie with mine with the
- 37:01Browns? Well, this is like a current
- 37:03event. This happened in September.
- 37:05It happens every year apparently.
- 37:06Drilled Mercedes-Benz. Something to do with less oxygen
- 37:11in the warm water so the fish die.
- 37:13Nathan, don't bring any of your hot ladies over there.
- 37:15They're not going to want to go there.
- 37:18All right, I'm going to go to Mets legend now current
- 37:21broadcaster for MLB Network and he's doesn't work for the Mets
- 37:23too. Anthony Recker looking like a
- 37:25hypocrite on air. So obviously the game three went
- 37:2818 innings and you making the claim while he was on whatever
- 37:32show and will be tonight or whatever that these are the
- 37:35games that baseball fans and true baseball players live to
- 37:38stay up for. And then Abby Labar.
- 37:41Abby Labar, who works at MLB Network, is the host of that
- 37:44show, called him out on it, saying showing a screenshot of a
- 37:48text that he sent is like, oh, I'm not really going to know if
- 37:50I'm going to make it to the 8th inning of this game.
- 37:52Meanwhile, that wasn't even halfway through the game.
- 37:54Then you go on air and say, oh, these are the games that
- 37:56baseball players and baseball fans, the truest of them all,
- 37:58sample. So you look like a little bit of
- 38:00a hypocrite, Mr. Mr. Wrecker, backup catcher that you were for
- 38:04all those years with the New York Mets.
- 38:05So what does that smell like? It smells like Jeff Wilpon and
- 38:08Fred Wilpon taking a piss in Birdie Madoff's jail cell.
- 38:12Freaking daily lives. Wow, all right, this is the what
- 38:18I got. In the conspiracy circles,
- 38:21Hurricane Melissa is being portrayed as part of a repeating
- 38:24script, a natural disaster turned reset, designed to clear
- 38:29land for redevelopment, much like the claims that circulated
- 38:33after Lahaina's destruction in Hawaii.
- 38:35Look back in Maui in 2023. The fires conveniently cleared
- 38:40valuable beachfront land so tech firms, developers and government
- 38:44agencies can rebuild a smart city.
- 38:48Fast forward to 2025, Jamaica's parallel in that hurricane,
- 38:52Melissa is said to be setting the stage for a smart city pilot
- 38:57zone in the Caribbean, an initiative already discussed in
- 39:00Jamaica's national development plans.
- 39:02According to the narrative, nature becomes the tool that
- 39:06accelerates modernization under the banner of resilience and
- 39:10green rebuilding. When you get a chance, look up
- 39:13the smart cities and where they're located and where.
- 39:16Hell, are you looking up every day?
- 39:20You're the all right. You have some of the weirdest
- 39:23things you look up. What did it smell like?
- 39:26I haven't got to that yet. Buildups.
- 39:29Oh, there's more. Oh, but wait, all right, First
- 39:34off, you guys need to go ahead and look up what's what are the
- 39:37smart cities are going to be located and then see if there's
- 39:41any, I don't know, maybe natural disasters, natural disasters
- 39:45that are happening around the smart cities and then get back
- 39:48to me. All right, I'm allowed to have
- 39:50my conspiracies too, aren't I? Oh, we know, right?
- 39:53You got a lot of. You got a lot of I had to look
- 39:56up since this is happening in Jamaica, regardless if it's man
- 39:59made or not man made. It's terrible what's going on.
- 40:02They're getting absolutely obliterated right now by
- 40:04Melissa. So in honor of Jamaica, I had to
- 40:07look up what was the smelliest thing in Jamaica.
- 40:11And apparently it's the aqui, which is Jamaica's national
- 40:15fruit. Delicious when prepared right,
- 40:18toxic and pungent when it's not. When overripe or left to rot,
- 40:22the pods release a sharp, sour, almost sulfur like odor that can
- 40:26fill a kitchen fast. And so these people are careful
- 40:30when they eat it and you could die, I guess, from the toxin.
- 40:36So you know what it smells like. It smells like that.
- 40:38And then the salt fish, which is a cod, which is a cod fish, is
- 40:42drying in the sun. Apparently that's the worst
- 40:45smell ever. So a lot of fish smells going on
- 40:49tonight with the dead fish in New Jersey, the salt fish in
- 40:52Jamaica, the Aki national fruit in Jamaica.
- 40:57So it smells a little fishy to me with a little aki.
- 41:03All right, this guy's crazy, man.
- 41:07I've lost, but I, I, I think I got a little bit crazier by
- 41:11listening to that. But anyways.
- 41:13Oh, whatever. Hey, just go look it up.
- 41:15I I'm sure I mean you ChatGPT go ahead.
- 41:21So my final what's that smell goes to I got to go again.
- 41:25Travis Hunter the athletic put out a story earlier in the week.
- 41:29He says it's very early, but the Jaguars Travis Hunter trade
- 41:33looks misguided so far. And it it's crazy because Travis
- 41:39Hunter, when you look at his numbers this year and they've
- 41:42played a significant amount of games.
- 41:43I mean, it's been 7 weeks. He has 298 yards, 1 touchdown,
- 41:4928 receptions and this guy was the number two pick in the
- 41:53draft. Let's look what the Browns got
- 41:56back for the great Travis Hunter.
- 41:59They got the number 5 pick, a second round pick, which was #36
- 42:03a fourth round pick that was a number 1126.
- 42:07They got the 2026 first round pick from the Jaguars, who
- 42:11received #2 pick, fourth round pick, fourth round choice of
- 42:16number one O 4, and a sixth round pick #200 So think about
- 42:23it this way. They got a significant boatload
- 42:27of picks for Travis Hunter where the Browns were drafting at 2.
- 42:32They still got the number 5 pick where the Jaguars jumped from
- 42:345:00 to 2:00. And this is what they got.
- 42:38Two way player that everybody calls, AKA the Unicorn.
- 42:41I wonder who else they call in the major leagues.
- 42:44The Unicorn. Oh, yeah.
- 42:45Share with Donnie. Yeah.
- 42:47And the last one to sit that was called a Unicorn.
- 42:51Oh, yeah, that was Kristaps Porzingis.
- 42:53How did that work? What does that smell?
- 42:55Well, it smells like Travis Hunter needs to take a dump and
- 43:00make sure he sits there and lets it smell up the damn locker room
- 43:06because he smells up the locker room every single week.
- 43:11He is a stinky gremlin, that's what he is.
- 43:15He smells like cock, a doodle Doo, a little doggy poo poo.
- 43:20That's what I think Mr. Travis Hunter smells like this guy.
- 43:24I'm going to say something for anybody that thinks this guy is
- 43:28going to be good in the NFL after one week.
- 43:31By the way, where are you, Keith?
- 43:33100 yards where he only had 40 yards going into the fourth
- 43:36quarter when they're the game was over the game they were the
- 43:40Rams were up 35 to nothing and he scores a touchdown in his own
- 43:45wife on social media says finally.
- 43:49That is an embarrassment. Yes, his own wife said finally.
- 43:53So it just tells me one thing about what Deion Sanders
- 43:57believes his two superstars are. Loser.
- 44:01Loser. That's what I'm going to say.
- 44:03And Deion Sanders, you're a loser because you couldn't get a
- 44:06coaching job from the damn Cowboys.
- 44:08So I'm just tired. And by the way, what?
- 44:11What is Colorado's record right now?
- 44:13Yeah, I wonder. That's bad.
- 44:15Yeah, I figured, yeah. I'm just tired of listening to
- 44:19Deion Sanders in the crap that comes out of his mouth.
- 44:21He was a great player. His son sucks, and his butt
- 44:24buddy, Mr. Travis Hunter, who he calls his son, sucks, too.
- 44:28He's going to fail. And I said it seven years.
- 44:31Everybody's going to forget about this man.
- 44:33It might even be less, but I remember what where was quitting
- 44:36couples. He's going to owe me some money.
- 44:38No, yes, I I told him he has to cut.
- 44:40He'll come back guy when he gets his first interception.
- 44:42He's not getting an interception.
- 44:44He won't have an He got a touchdown because the Rams let
- 44:47him get a touchdown. They took all their starting
- 44:50corners out of the game. That's why Travis Hunter has a
- 44:55touchdown. That's it.
- 44:57I don't have to say any more. Nothing less. 298 yards in eight
- 45:02weeks. What an embarrassment.
- 45:04What a joke. I can't wait to hear this
- 45:06debacle at the end of the season.
- 45:08And what kind of crap's going to come out and management and an
- 45:11ownership over there. They stink anyways, That's and
- 45:14Travis. Trevor Lawrence.
- 45:17Trevor Lawrence got this big $55 million contract.
- 45:21What's he doing? Yeah, I wonder what a joke.
- 45:24What a joke of they're worse than The Jets.
- 45:27They're worse than The Jets. That's all I'm going to say.
- 45:29They're absolutely worse than The Jets.
