- The Finance Pastor: Hello everyone. This is Felix Garcia, aka the finance pastor. And what an honor and a privilege it is to be welcome into your home. We are looking at the stock market, seeing what is happening in the stock market. there's a lot of news that's driving many of the moves today. Tesla has reported earnings meta, and there's a lot of moves that can be made if the earnings are favorable. Meaning that we could really power through the S P five hundred through that seventy eight hundred mark. If we don't get the expected news or there's not im enough cheering for the news, we could see the Dow the S P five hundred maybe drop to the seventy six hundred mark or maybe even lower to the seventy two hundred mark. We're seeing a lot of things. We just don't know what's going to happen. But what we do know is that as investors, we can be very prepared for what's about to happen. And I don't know about what you guys are looking for forward towards the move of the stock market, but I want to get a chance to look at some stocks and I want to get some of your feedback. And if you're watching me live, just any questions you have, I'll be more than willing to share that with you guys. So we are looking at the S P 500 right now. currently we are up 51 points, right below that 7800 mark. You're seeing a lot of enthusiasm. Tesla has a little run up. I'm a little different with Tesla on today. I'm I'm bullish on SpaceX, but not so much on Tesla. But I could be wrong, and I have been wrong in other times. So I'm not afraid to admit that. But what thing that I do know is that Playing the long term. If you're looking at long term stocks, that's where the money's at, in my opinion. I know there's a lot of people that teach about futures and options, and those can be used. I love covered calls. I love using options on those type of trades. But if you're trading futures, if you're a day trader, those are the ones that I don't agree with. A day trader is like a lot like a gambler. The longer you stay on the table, the more you lose. Do you win? Yes, you can win. But the longer you stay on the table, the low the longer, the more you lose. I have seen people who are judicious. they're very patient in entering certain trades. They wait for supply or demand zones. Those are the people that I have seen most of that can do very well in trading. The buy and hold. The long term protection put option. That's where I like using those instruments. So we're looking at the SP 500. It's powering through. It's gonna have a good move. We don't know if this will continue, but we're seeing a lot of stocks really anticipating the move of Meta and Tesla. So we're seeing that into play. we're seeing again the S the NASDAQ is now towering through up that 29,000 mark. That thirty thousand dollar mark is very pivotal. So, depending on what news comes out today, at the end of the market really determines where the market moves tomorrow. You are going to see a lot of buying and selling pressure towards the the end of the market, and anything could change. let's look at the Dow Jones. Dow Jones, again, it is moving in an upward manner. It's almost following like this V curve recovery. The Dow Jones is a very it's a good barometer. you can see where the economy could go, but most people, when they look at the economy, they look at the SP 500. So let's look at Apple. Apple's been one of my few plays that has actually exceeded my expectations. So this is one that it has moved. I am happy for Apple. I can't say the same thing about every other stock that I have. But Tesla's been one that I am weary on. I am playing the downside. So I am doing a speculation option play. I could lose my money on this one. So I'm gonna be very candid and it's a speculation play. Now if it hits, it hits. So I try to play the downside. Now I'm also bullish on SpaceX, which is kind of weird. I'm I'm bearish on Tesla, but I'm bullish on SpaceX. I still think that this is a stock that has potential, but it is also overbought. So you're gonna see people maybe take some profits, this nice little move up. but then you had so much news from Elon Musk to come out the last couple of days. To me, it's almost feels like a setup for letdown. Like all this news about giving money away, about like the rocket booster for the Tesla Roadster, all this stuff, usually for me, it's like a like bells ringing, like is there ex are they expecting bad news? And the only thing I could see if sales was not good, that's gonna be the biggest problem. So In in my opinion, with the rumors that has gone that this stock has risen over the last month and a half, two to three months, I could see if the news is not good, this stock could return to 300. Now, if it if the news is better than expected, you're gonna see this stock potentially go up to 450. That 480 range where it was at before and it hasn't been there in quite a while. So we're seeing those moves and wondering what is next for Tesla. Only time would tell, but I do know that if you're I'm bullish on Elon. I don't agree with everything he says or everything he does or everything that he champions for, because there's always hidden agendas, and that's the stuff is I trust everyone. But I always count my change. And I'm always looking to see is where could the next opportunity come from? I get a lot of people that tell me I don't want to invest in stocks because I don't agree with this person, I don't like this person, I don't like what that company stands for. So how do you justify that? And that's a very common question that I get asked. Now, I always look at it from scriptural, and everyone is different. Some of you have feelings that are valid, that are very that are you can argue why not to invest. But I also look at scripture that says that the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous. Now I know some of these people are not saved, but that doesn't mean that I don't make money with them. Or against them. That's where option trading for a lot of people is more attainable because they don't want to invest in the certain companies or they don't mind making money off the downturn of a company. You have your targets, you have your Teslas, you got all these different companies who want to be social. and some of them are valid, some of them it's just I don't get some of the stuff. But what I do know is I'm a child of the king. You're a child of the king. And many of us, and that's what makes this such a great community, is that many of you have different backgrounds where you've grown up, and a lot of your decisions are made through those outlets. And I always look at people and say, okay, how can I put myself in their shoes? How can I say to myself, and and and also Be a minister of the word, but also how can I put myself in their shoes? And a lot of it I look at, okay, if you don't like certain companies and you don't want to invest in certain companies, you don't have to. But can you make money off of them? That's the balance of it. If you're playing the long-term game, let the wealth of the wicked be stored up for the righteous. Consider that. I'm not telling you what to do, but don't think that. God is just gonna give you a million dollars just because you're faithful. Because I know a lot of saints that are faithful and they don't got no million dollars. There's zero heirs. And some of them a thousand heirs. So one of the things that I tell people, consider this. If you play the long-term game and you put money in there that you be like, if they're gonna do things I don't agree with, well. I'm gonna make money off of them, I would consider that. If you make profits, sh could you give that away? Yeah. It it's it's many things. Like I have people that have talked to me and say that they don't like supporting certain certain industries because they they tra they help traffic women. So then why not trade against companies that help with that? The music industry is a big proponent of that. Sports venues, big proponent of that. That's why you see many pe many sting operations during Super Bowls, World Series, 'cause it's a big moneymaker. You can make money off those people. And that's what I I many people have like a balance. Like, you know, that's not Christ-like. Well, what is Christ-like? You know, you can only you can only do so much in in your space. But we live in a world that is is is sinful. And we are have to participate in a sinful world being the body of Christ. How do you do that? You gotta participate. Participate in discussions. Participate in political arenas. Participate in your local church. Participate in your community. We can all participate. And what God is looking for is for people to serve him in spirit and in truth. God is looking for us to make disciples. We can't do that unless we go out into the world. I use stock as a venue. I use it as a venue to help bring people into the the kingdom. And it's a marketplace. We all gotta work. No way around it. And you have a lot of gurus that preach this thing about, you know, you build this financial empire and you sit down and you do nothing and you're hanging out on the beach or you're by the poolside all day long. Which God didn't die on the cross for me to sit in a pool all day long. God has given me money for stewardship. And that's why He's gonna give you finances. And if you have finances, it's because you're a good steward. So as you look into how to grow your money, stewardship also is an investing. Look at the five, the story of the five of the talents. You have one that God gave, that the master gave five talents, another one, two, another one, one. And you see that the first two, the one that had five, doubled it. The one that had two, doubled it. And this is the craziest thing. It wasn't even their money. They borrowed it. It wasn't even their money. Now, the story goes that the master that gave a talent to the one servant, he buried it in the ground and he didn't do anything. He didn't lose the money. He actually gave it back to him. But then the master calls him wicked and lazy servant. How is that? I wish scripture would have told us. What about if the one with one talent would have invested it and lost it? What would have the master said? I wonder that. And I look at you try to look at scripture and you try to look at. How how best can we interpret what we're reading? And a lot of it has to do with looking at it from a Jewish perspective. We serve a Jewish God. And we have to see that God's working is God's blessing. See, the punishment for Adam and Eve was banishment from the garden. See, I read it like this, and Adam and Eve were banished from the garden. Now, from now on, you have to till the land. And the fields will not will yield you the your crop. To me, is okay, Adam and Eve were banished from the garden. God's blessing is that if you work, the ground will give you and yield you fruit. So to me, it all depends on your hustle. God can't bless lazy. God cannot bless lazy. Many of you. Want this free type of blessing from God. See, you got to look at the story of Boaz and Ruth. See, Boaz saw Ruth in the fields, and what was she doing? Working. Working. So sometimes your blessing is find, is found in your work. It is biblical to work. That Fallacy of retirement and all that, that's an American-made stuff. There's no retirement in Hebrew. Now I get it. We transition. I get that part. I get we transition. But one would have to also say to themselves is that that you can build up side hustles and still work. I worked with the gentleman. I used to work for the New York City Housing Authority about 26 years ago. I live in Tennessee now, so I no longer live in New York City. But I worked with the gentleman that worked at the job for like 55 years. He and we we would ask him, how come you don't retire? He was like, if I retire, I die. So he retired. Six months later, he was gone. Sometimes work is what keeps you alive because it gives you something to look forward to. And there's so many gurus that write books on hating a job. They call it just overbroke. But to me, your job is your first investor. Your job is the first investor that will give you money to buy stocks, will give you money to put away in savings, will give you money to tithe. So use those blessings that God has given you. And I'm here to tell you that God wants to bless his people. Now I want to share a story. Many people debate tithing, and I get it, there's different spectrums. There's you can argue for that's an old covenant law, it's still relevant. There's no right or wrong. But one thing I look at people who are successful, they give. They might not call it tithing. It might not be at a church. It might not be in an organization. It could be a, they just give money away. So I balance that with this. I've been challenged several years ago and even recently to just re-evaluate the tithing. I tithe. And there's been times where I had to decide: do I tithe or do I pay my bills? I mean, I've been there. So I haven't arrived. And I paid my tithe. Many people might argue, be like, but what about I mean, I you pay the late bill. You pay it. Now, has there been times that God has come through where hey, unexpected work, unexpected unexpected financial gain from a stock? Yes. There's been times like that, but not all the time has always been like that. So I usually understand that there's a blessing that goes with giving. There's you keep the devourer away. Malachi is very s very strategic with that. He will open up the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing. And I get, and I know many people have misused this only to get into your pocketbook. But even if you don't give it to an organization, what about if you're giving it to homeless people or you're giving it to whatever, a Cancer Society, whatever it is, God wants you to give. That's the biggest key out of all this here. God wants you to give. And not only that, he wants to bless his people. How? It is not always through money. Sometimes it's through ideas. Sometimes it's through inventions. Sometimes it's through like just stuff that God has deposited into you to make extra income. It could be the side hustle. It could also be a second job. We have we have this misconception about how money works. And we have so many gurus to thank for that because a lot of them just made the money from selling you stuff, not actually doing what they sold. And I've been around a lot of those people. And I've I've met some great people too in these industries. I've met some phenomenal people. That are actually really doing the business. And I I love those type of people. So one of the things I ask people, and I get asked, should I invest in courses and stuff like that? And the answer for me is always yes. I have. I've invested thousands of dollars, probably anywhere from like 20 to about 50 grand in education. So I've invested that money. And one of the things that I have always And this is I learned this very early on because I've been in going to educational seminars for 20 years. I've worked for some, I've invested in some. One of the things that is a very key point for me is this do you do what you sell? That's important to me. Do you actually do what you sell? And if the answer is no, I can't do business to you with you. it's really that point. Like I tell people to invest in stock market and in real estate. I actually do that. I got evidence of that. I'm not some gazillionaire. I'm probably a nice thousandaire, but I actually do what I preach. And that's why I I tell people, people looking for authenticity. Anyone who trades in the stock market knows futures traders, option traders. There's a learning curve to this. I lost a lot of money during the first two years of trading and I traded for 18 years. And that's why many of you, if you hear me, I'm telling you what to avoid, what strategies that, hey, this makes sense. And sometimes that's why I'm an advocate for the long game. The long game, it's where it's at. If I would have done the long game in the beginning, I'll be way farther ahead than what I am right now. Just being totally transparent. Like there's certain strategies that are good for season, but not for the rest of your life. There's other strategies that are meant, hey, you could work a job, do what you've called to do, and still make some income. And and and what I'm telling people is little by little start buying stock. Even if you're buying one share or two shares, whatever it is, it's the habit. And you start seeing that over time. You know, you start seeing that you got a couple of hundred bucks the first year. Then before you know it, by year ten, you got like half a million, a million, depending on the stocks. So you're seeing a lot of movement in the stock market right now. People ask me, what should I invest in? And I usually tell people, consider this what car you drive, what products you enjoy, what is in your home, what do you and your spouse. Enjoy. do you have children? What do you purchase them? What do you buy for them? you start seeing and doing the reverse engineering. Many of you deal with five out of ten of the companies you deal with are publicly traded. And that's why I tell people look at what you're good at, look at the industry that God has placed you in. Some of you understand an industry very well. I would do the reverse engineering and and look for the publicly traded companies in that space. Some of you have gifts that I'm unaware of that you nerd out as subjects, that you just you you just a brainiac in certain subjects, and that I would look at what are the publicly traded companies in that space. And and I tell people investing could be just so simple. There's so many products in your home that you deal with. If you we all gotta eat, you gotta look at in your home, you got Kraft Heinz, you got Procter and Gamble, you have Clorox, we have so many others. and you start seeing that many of them are from publicly traded companies. Others of those commodities are trade on the futures market. Your sugar, your coffee, your wheat, your grain, all that is taken care of in the futures market. So what you start seeing that you can look at what you done, what you what you purchase and you can start investing in good companies like that. So there's so many great things to look at. So we've talked a little bit about Tesla. I want to go into one stock that I'm actually not doing that good in. So, and that is Netflix. So, Netflix, I'm bullish on Netflix, but it has just the earnings wasn't terrible, but the growth is not what they're expecting. this is one that you eat, I either, this because I have this in my portfolio, technically I'm down right now. From a dollar cost average, I'm down. Now, this is a place where I'm going to purchase more. And then I bring my dollar cost average down. I'm looking for what this stock is going to be worth in three to five years. That's what I'm looking at. So generally, when you purchase stock and you're a long term investor, your first couple of months are gonna be down. It's gonna be down unless you catch it at the right time. And for everyone, that's not gonna be the the case. Let's be honest. There's gonna be ebbs and flows, and there's a learning curve to this. So, like a lot of this is you're gonna learn about timing. You're gonna learn about so many other things. But Netflix, I still have it. I have not sold. So I'm keeping it in my portfolio. I'm just down on it. Just kind of let you guys know. this is pretty much the only stock that I'm down and also on my Options on Tesla. I'm just getting my butt handed to me on that one. So for transparency purposes, that way you guys know. Ethereum, I'm back positive. Thank goodness. I'm in the $2300 buy range. So that's when I purchase it. XRP also the same thing. but Ethereum again, consolidation in this range right here. I kind of mentioned that, but I think this is a strong buy. I bought in like right here. actually I bought it over here. So I waited till we came back up and then I bought in this range right here. Now, what what could crypto do? And that's nobody knows. The Clarity Act was not passed. So there's so many unknowns and the United States is betting a lot on crypto. to me, it's gonna be the future of. Is it gonna be these Ethereum, Bitcoin, Litecoin, every other coin? I don't know. But one thing I will know, I do know, is I believe that the Federal Reserve is not just gonna let crypto just take over and them not have a hand on it. I I highly doubt that. Very highly doubt that. I could expect that probably the Federal Reserve or the International Monetary Funds to probably create a token. That's gonna be worldwide. Scripturally, God says we will go into a one world system, a one world order. We will, we will, we will, we will. So I would look at crypto could be, I'm not saying it is, could be what could lead us into that. I just don't know if it's gonna be Bitcoin, but it will be a token that's digital, and many people we're gonna be moving towards digital currency. That's what's gonna happen. That's where the valuations may start going up because we're going away from a gold standard. If we go fully digital, there has to be something to back that. I don't know how much gold we have. We have not done an inventory on Fort Knox. But then again, I don't think half of it is in there like many people, but you know, that's just opinion. I want to talk about MU. MU is one of those, it's an expensive stock. So it's not for everyone. But one thing I would say that this could be a stock that if you're looking for low debt, a company that has low debt but high returns and actually makes profit. Micron is one of the few companies that fit that criteria. One of the few. If you look at it from a financial standpoint, compared to Tesla, compared to a lot of companies, Micron is actually one of the most healthiest companies because their income is like six times amount of their debt. They're like 5 billion in debt and about 34 billion in profits. That's not a bad way to go. So Numbers are numbers. So you look at even in a downturn, their cash, they could pay off their debt. So that's one of those things that I like Micron. It has had a nice little move up over the last few days. But also, this is another one that if you're long-term, this could be a stock that will be splitting probably in the next, if it hits 2,000 or maybe in the $1,500 range. I can see that with this stock. But if you're a micron holder, I'm I'm feeling this stock. Let's go with Coinbase. Again, this one up a little bit, but I've been talking about this stock for the last few months. If you're bullish on cryptocurrency, if you're bullish on or being part of a financial institution that's still young in in as far as years of longevity, Coinbase would be one. You gotta look at the Goldman Sachs, you gotta look at the the the state streets, all these big conglomerates one time with financials. well, they're still financials, but they're they they made their money by people investing in the next thing. So Coinbase to me is really positioned even in front of Robin Hood in crypto. So most of the people that I know that buy crypto, not everyone, but they're in Coinbase, or you have some that invest in Kraken. So to me, Coinbase has the longevity. Also, they have earnings. November Monday, November second. So I can see this stock making some moves. I I don't know, you know, it could go either way, but crypto has this is the big thing. It's crypto that's the driver in this one. Now, what I do like about Coinbase, you can actually buy stocks here. So we're seeing people who just hey, if I'm gonna buy stocks, why not buy it through Coinbase? That's what I do like. So I have family members that are in Coinbase. so yep, I think it's a good play. And I'm also not giving you financial advice. Oracle. Oracle is one of those that I like, but it's also been beat up. So if it hits the 120, 119, 118 range, I may consider looking into this stock. So that that one Oracle long term, Larry Ellison, I'm a fan of his. He's always been in the forefront. I like his business acumen and every business goes through a little slowdown. I mean, the revenues there for this company. He's connected with a lot of the Silicon Valley Titans. So Larry Ellison's gonna be s i in in in the top race. So AMD again, I like this stock. This stock has nice moves. I'm a fan of Lisa Sue. I think she's a phenomenal CEO, and this stock could definitely power through to the $1,000 range, that $800, $900 mark. It's pretty feasible for this one. If NVIDIA takes off, if AMD can actually compete with NVIDIA, I think this is gonna be a very strong stock. So don't sleep on AMD. I think this is a good one. But I'm also I'm also looking forward to what other news is coming up in the stock market. I do know this God is on the throne. Nothing that's about to happen right now is surprises him. One thing is that we do know God is faithful and just to be with his with his kids, with his sons and daughters. And I don't know what you're going through today. But I do know that God cares. He really cares about all your situations. He cares about all the trials and tribulations that you're going through. He cares. And he cares for you. Don't forget to reach out to him. Ask God for help because he will help us in the time of trouble. What does that look like for everyone? I don't know. But what I do know is that He has good plans for you. He has good plans. So I I look at that and and I say, God, I know you you you have plans for my life. Guide me that I may follow your precepts and that I may walk in your statues. And God wants to do that for you and you and you and you and you and you. So I hope you guys have a phenomenal week. looking forward to what happens this afternoon with Tesla is a couple of hours before closing bell, but until next time.
