At 11:15 PM in Fuquay-Varina, an officer spotted a man near railroad tracks behind Action Park who suddenly pulled out a weapon and pointed it at them. The officer fired in response as the suspect fled. Authorities, including K-9 units and State Highway Patrol, conducted a sweep but couldn’t locate the suspect. Thankfully, the officer was unharmed.
