Transcript
- 0:05[SPEAKER_02]: with Nick Kendall and Scott Kennedy.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome in, welcome in, welcome in.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: It is a loser Monday.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_01]: We are the Broncos for breakfast.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_01]: Morning show over here on Sports Illustrated Mile High Huddle.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Nick Kendall joined by Eric Trickle.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: Eric, that was a deflating loss.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_01]: I put a little bit of the blame on you because you kicked me out of the group chat for being annoying and immediately bonex throws an interception when you did that.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: So how does it feel to be the the sole reason?
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos are one it would not.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just kidding.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: But obviously, a...
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: a very frustrating loss for the Broncos one that as we get into it despite the stats saying that this game shouldn't have been in Denver's favor as close as it was for as long as it was.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos had their hands and they coughed it up in the fourth quarter with multiple mistakes across every phase.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and just to defend myself here real quick,
- 1:05[SPEAKER_03]: if you weren't annoying and every five minutes going what's happening guys what happened what happened on this critical third down what happened on this play what happened what happened oh let me know you want to make it car let me know what happened you want to make it it's your phone don't be annoying next time I can't help it I have some patience no but
- 1:24[SPEAKER_01]: your mic does kind of weird Eric I don't know if it's coming through that one it sounds little but uh come in through a tin can so just giving you a heads up on that I don't know it's uh you guys let me know in the chat as well if Eric sounds a little bit uh typically is it better yeah say that again is it better now
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: He sounded a little bit like you're coming through a tin can.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what's going on, but maybe it's stream yard.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: But you sound quality is a little off.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: And the Broncos were a little bit off and this one specifically, the defense and the special teams.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: Two things that were calling cards of an incredible Broncos team last season, they made Daniel Jones look like frickin' Patrick Mahomes out there.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: Nicod and Dime to death a little bit, but the run defense was bad.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: Daniel Jones, only second him.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: I believe one time in this game's Euro takeaways for the Broncos as well.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: It was a, it was their worst performance, probably.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they've really not good against the bills last season either.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: But it felt a lot like the,
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: Cleveland game last season.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: But unfortunately, it comes the the wrong way for Denver in the end of this one because they were able to get the takeaways on this one.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, Denver's defense as much as they were exciting versus the Titans week one.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: Downright dreadful performance in this one, and I wouldn't be surprised that they're one of the, well, they won't be as bad as the bears.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: But they'll probably be one of the worst five teams in EPA
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: They got run up and down the field and could not get off the field so defense, special teams, or yet, not a good game for this team.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it does my mic sound better now.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's not great now.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_03]: For some reason, it wasn't registered to my mic for my normal mic and it was going to my headset.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_03]: So anyways, yeah, this is a heartbreaking loss.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_03]: The defense ends you up in the offense does deserve some blame.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they weren't the problem.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_03]: But when you have three drives in the final, your three final drives are 19 plays for 83 yards and you just don't score off of them.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_03]: That's an issue.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_03]: You punt once another interception, a bad interception, I don't want to miss the field goal, which that kind of stinks.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_03]: And it was kind of, it was kind of mentioned in the group chat last night after the game.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_03]: Throughout the game, but it's been doing those knuckle balls.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_03]: They've been going down and then curving right back to the right, and then we have that happen in which led to the bonk on that missfield goal.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, there is some fault that goes on the offense, but yeah, it is mostly on the defense.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_03]: I've seen a lot of people blaming penalties and we'll definitely get into that a little bit.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_03]: But in terms of EPA purge, rockback, right now the Broncoset with the fourth worst for a week two.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_03]: Which, and it's a little ironic, they sit with like one of the better ones in rushing EPA, which is a little bit surprising with Jonathan Taylor and how well of a game he had.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_03]: They were, I mean, they were tenth in EPA so far, I mean, obviously still some games to go and the title and the culture one of the worst, they had the seventh worst.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_03]: was an interesting dichotomy between that.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_03]: But Daniel Jones did great.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_03]: The Broncos were four or fifth in cash in quarterback pressure percentage this year.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_03]: So they were getting pressures.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_03]: They just weren't getting there in time.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_03]: And part of the reason for that and it's something that we didn't talk about against the Titans.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_03]: Their average time to throw for Cam Ward was 2.83 seconds.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_03]: And they were getting there in just in time.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Daniel Jones just sped it up a little bit.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_03]: He has ever chimed it through was about 2.7 seconds.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_03]: And that one tenth of a second matters a lot in the NFL.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_03]: And it was mattered a lot to where the Broncos, you know, were able to turn those pressures into sex.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and just pulling up a RBSD and running backstone matter from Baldwin, the Broncos right now, week two there.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: Fifth worst in dropback EPA and their rush EPA is the
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, you see, 12 best.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: So added is a little surprising, uh, considering what Jonathan Taylor went off with.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's not surprising.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: John Morton's been coming to the $2 super jack grade to see a John.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, keeping it going here, keeping the lights on for us.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_01]: As we come as a rate on this, uh, Broncos loss.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: I also see John had a comment in here as well.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: Want to make sure we get you.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, take a look at the Miss Field goal by lutz and tell me that defense a player with a senator didn't do the same thing.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: Denver got ripped off on that Miss 60 yard field goal.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the leverage the thing is Is that a bummer and is it weird to have it called an an on extra point situation?
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but to me that's more on the
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: the players and the coaching staff, you know, it's a six year afield goal, the probability hitting that is already low, no penalties.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: You don't, there's no need to do that in that situation.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: Don't give them a reason to penalize you because it's already low probability.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: So, again, especially a 15 year penalty.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you jump in and it's five yards, that's stinks.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: But a 15 year or 60 to 45, that's, I mean, what do you think your percentages go to Eric?
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: 20% to
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: 50% I mean, that's 60% in today's NFL can't do it.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_01]: So and it's I know it's cliche, but a game never comes down to one play.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: There's many instances in this game where Denver failed and didn't get it done.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_01]: The huge run by Jonathan Taylor flipping the field position.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: bonus is interception the spiking the ball by Dobbins moving them back five yards followed by the face mask and instead of on the 20 year on the the 40 trying to kick a fuel goal.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos not executing in the two minute drill to close the first half a chance to get points I think you have all three timeouts in a minute 30 left you go three and out three points there would have been pretty nice you know that's why you you want your quarterback to be top four top five
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: you come away with points in that situation and get the ball back and be able to stack drives Denver didn't do it they end up losing by one so plenty instances in this game where they just did not do enough yes it does the penalty at the end is the the final mistake but there was ample across the board in this one specialty and defense especially that
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: didn't get it done.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you John so much for your super chat.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: We do want to say a lot of people in here.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: David says that why was our J. Returning Pants and V.J.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: sucks?
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: They had both of them back there.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: And they were kicking to, I think, right there.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_03]: They were hammered in for Harvey.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: So it was, it was,
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: The point of the kicks there.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_01]: You saw a MIMS back there.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like the old days where it was one player back there.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: You can line drive it a little bit more and make sure that it's going to one player.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: So that was the point, and they changed rules now.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: It might's gonna be fun.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think the C2 different players out there may be getting that a little bit of trickeration.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: We got string guy come in and says, Nick's in the offense look much better.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: The defense got ripped up by Daniel Jones and Barrisine.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Could you guys explain the penalty at the end of the game, not sure what happened?
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: a player pushes the center down and the two hands on the snapper for no mind could go ahead.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was you had to use it for pushing yourself up.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: So that means pushing them.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_03]: That's part of it.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_03]: So what the Denver was called it's in the role book.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_03]: It's 12-3-1-P is a section of it and it's placing the hands, placing a hand or hands on a teammate or opponent to get additional height to one block or attempt to block an opponent's kick or a parent kick or attempt to jump through the gap and
- 8:48[SPEAKER_03]: That is the rules as stated.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_03]: I haven't pulled up and I was looking at it.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_03]: And going back to the difference between it and a lot of people thinking that heaven on the world, let's, well, let's just misskick.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_03]: There's actually huge difference here.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_03]: DeAndre Tillman, who the penalty was on, they call that on the wasric alive in the game, so it should afterwards determine.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_03]: At the snap, he puts his hand on the shoulder and you can see him visibly pull.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_03]: Arm goes up and then goes down.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_03]: He is pulling himself up above it.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_03]: Now you can use your hands and arms to brace yourself as you are jumping on opponent's back.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_03]: You just cannot use it to raise.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_03]: So on the will, let's feel go.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of people are seeing these.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_03]: colds players brace themselves against it.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_03]: So they're not falling over the line as they kind of push as the blockers push forward.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_03]: They brace on it, but none of them visibly pull.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_03]: Now it is a little bit subjective and in the heat of the moment, it is hard to be subjective about what is pulling and pushing.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_03]: But I went back and I watched the kicks, both kicks today over on all 22, just minutes before we went live.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_03]: And there's a very obvious difference.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_03]: There is a very obvious pull from Tillman, not so much on the goals events.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_03]: So not the same thing, one's textbook against the penalty against them.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_03]: The other one is not.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_03]: And fun fact, last year there were four of these penalties called, and 2020 through there were five of these penalties called, and last year, Denver actually benefited from one.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't do it.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: We got a string, good to see a string guy.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: It was embarrassing, I guess, as the word from the defense says.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: Zero takeaways in this one.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm using the word takeaway instead of turnover, because they have the two fourth downstops, so we, that's good, you know, you obviously rather have that make in the fourth downs, but you're not a strip sack, you're not an reception in that one.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: And then also zero puns.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: Eric, the Broncos defense, this a lot of top five, you know everybody's banking on them being super
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we saw the Titan's puncher last week either.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos defense through two weeks, have they not forced a single punt yet, and I might be mistaken on that one.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember the Titan's puncher last week either.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know that the obviously had to put because memes had that Muff-Dry turn.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you're right.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: You're right.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: I just crazy game for that and Denver.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: No puns in this one is jarring.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: They they obviously weren't gashed left and right down the field.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: But they were just not able to do.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: get any runstuffs or sacks that typically you've seen from this Broncos defense to get those third and longs so yeah I don't know I guess disenchanted a little bit by the the defense in this one and they did not look like a top five unit they did they looked like a top or a bottom ten unit in this one.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, gotta give credit or credit to their offensive line is legit.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's got a lot of favorites of mine from the, you know, from their NFL draft year.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_03]: Tanner board only need Matt Goncalavis and then Raymond, I can't remember who the right tackle is.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_03]: All of them are favorites of mine and they are so well It's called Brainsmith.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: Do they still have Brainsmith over there?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Brainsmith.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's the right tackle.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, what else in that left guard?
- 12:01[SPEAKER_03]: But they're so well coached.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_03]: They're so technically sound.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_03]: And this is what a point that I mean, I talked about it a lot last week.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_03]: Not necessarily live.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was more the group jet and I did talk about it Friday night as well.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_03]: they looked legit.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_03]: They looked great.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_03]: They looked phenomenal against the Miami Dolphins.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: And there was some of like the Dolphins are a poorly coached defense.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_03]: They're, you know, not as technically sound and not as, you know, they have a lot of talent.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_03]: It's just a lot of them are
- 12:29[SPEAKER_03]: more freelancing at this moment just because the defense has so many questions.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_03]: So those kind of a bit of a question of where are the quotes actually legitimately good against the dolphins or where the dolphins are bad.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_03]: But when you really break down the quotes and how technically sound they were, that is something that can translate to multiple games and multiple you know different talent levels of the caliber you're playing against.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_03]: And the broadcast defense of wine, they're actually a good unit.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_03]: One of the better units say are missing a pretty
- 12:56[SPEAKER_03]: And it kind of reared its ugly head in this one, but the cults were technically sounded, they were able to handle their one-on-one matchups.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_03]: And what's worse is that they were able to treat this defensive line like the Baltimore Ravens last year and the Buffalo Bills last year.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_03]: They won their one-on-one.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_03]: They were allowing their blockers to eliminate the linebackers, and some of that falls on Joseph with some of his coaching decisions that were made, not necessarily play calls about the things, other elements with it.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, so if it goes into you player execution and so there's a lot of issues with with it and there was just no adjustment from Joseph to try to figure out how to handle this code's called offensive line by time he started showing some adjustments.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_03]: It was too little to late at that point.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_03]: So a lot of credit for the offensive success of the calls should go to the offensive line.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_03]: Those are breakdowns and a lot of defensive breakdowns Sean Payton talking about it at the half.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_03]: Two busted coverage, you can't have that.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_03]: So a lot was wrong with the defense.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_03]: I'd love to give more and two is with the vans shows of issues with it, but definitely not looking like a top unit, but I'm not ready to say that they're not going to be a top five unit after two weeks.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: No, and you shouldn't, but in this game,
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: Not good.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: He call it as it doesn't, it's just two games, but it's one of the you mentioned.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: And one of the rare instances we've seen over the last, I guess, almost decade where LeBronco's defensive line lost their matchup upfront.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: I just have not seen that.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: Also, that might have been Patrick Sartan's worst game in a while.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this game was poor enough from him.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: It granted would have been hard for him to end back to back.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: defense player of yours as a corner back anyway, but like that's one where it's like, oh, there's your highlights.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's running across the field and Surtane gives up another one.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's third down Surtane gives it up.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's one that again, very hard assignment.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: Good job by striking to draw it up but unfortunate not the best game from anybody on the defensive side of the ball.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: You needed one of your players to step up and really the only guy in this, uh,
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: And this game on the defensive side of the ball, I step up and say, yeah, you had a good game.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_01]: You stepped up.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think you raised your stock is well, I'll probably talk about that tomorrow night, but it's probably Joe and Ellis.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody else kind of, you know, down arrow a bit, some more than others.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: We're not to get into that right now.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, Denver's had a chance to go to a no, go two games up on Kansas City and now they're one in one and lost a game that could be
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: really huge.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: Come the end of the year for that last wildcards spot or playoff seeding in general, because the cults look like they're going to be hovering around 11, 9 wins, that that range probably after this one.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: that could be enough to, you know, you're the seven seed instead of the six seed, you got to play off instead of in.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully not, again, long way to go.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see Gatorate Gaming come in in here.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now Denver has to go.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think two Los Angeles next week is an at LA.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember if it's at LA or at Denver, but, uh,
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: unless the Raiders do the unfathomable and become the sole possession AFC West leaders tonight with a win.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think Dema will probably be an underdog per Vegas lines going into the game against the Charter's next week.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, speaking of underdog football is back and underdog is the best place to make picks and win money all season long, playing on underdog is easy.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_03]: Just pick whether your favorite players will go higher or lower on sets like touchdowns, receiving

- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: You can play with as little as one dollar.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: So if you think you've got a beat on what's going to happen tonight.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: We got two games tonight.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: We got Houston playing lose it.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm losing my mind here.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: Houston's playing somebody as well as obviously West match up Chargers Raiders and saw somebody saying, I hope they tie.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: I get bummer and I get a chance to be in first place with whoever wins that tonight, but that's not happening, but make sure you're using underdog and win some money.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_03]: That's right, get your picks right and start.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_03]: I have so much fun putting underdog and winning money while watching football.

- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: Desert, come in and say, the talk of the Broncos, supper bowl is quieted down.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, Denver was on two last season and then went on a run, so we'll see, but this game against the Chargers next week.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean,
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: If they lose to the Chargers, I think the chances of winning the AFC West are probably pretty darn low.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: One and two, you still got to chance for the playoffs, but you'd be too back in last year, going, oh, and two versus the Chargers.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: This is a measuring stick game without a doubt.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: Next week, good to see Jake as the one who said we started to own two last year and still made the playoffs good to see.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: Collins has been on seem to be getting much out of Ingram and Greenlaw.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, two signings right now.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: This is concerning to many side guys with injury, luck or injury history.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: haven't seen much of them at all.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: Roy good to see you good morning.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: Man, we can't get in sync.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: That was a winnable game.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: It was a winnable game for the Broncos, but when you step back and look at the stats.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos were in this game almost exclusively because of the discrepancy in the Red Zone for both the offense, the defense, Denver goes three for three in the Red Zone, God bless them, shout out the Bonax, shout out to Sean Payton, great design getting down there to do that, but almost every single other statistic in this game went the way of the cults.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: The cults go two for six in the Red Zone, made down to the Red Zone six times guys, zero punts.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: They had more rushing yards.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: They had more yards per rush.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: They had more yards per pass.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: They had more passing yards.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: They had more drives.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: They had more yards per drive.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: They were better on third down, 6 to 13 Denver was four of nine.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: just across the board, all these like key indicators, the Colts beat Denver.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: So really, the fact that Denver was in control at the end, had a chance to own their destiny.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of the overall statistics say, this was a game that Colts win more times than not when you play, because they were winning way too many key stats in a game.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, they were just,
- 19:45[SPEAKER_03]: all and all better.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_03]: And if it wasn't for Denver's run, so a defense only time when they decided to show up apparently, then it would be a blowout.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_03]: And I think most, you know, normal defenses that it probably would have been different Denver's defenses is a weird habit of even going back, you know, last couple years.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_03]: They sometimes struggle between the 20s and then they just lock it down inside the 20 inside the red zone and they keep the force errors by the opponents or just make great plays, both of which happened in this one and they walk away with field goals and side touchdowns, which that's what you want in the end, but.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_03]: You just can't do it as consistently to where you don't ever force a single punt where you don't ever get a takeaway a couple turnovers on downs are nice, but you still want to take ways turnover on downs are not quite the same level of Energizing of a play as you know the actual takeaways are the intersections of ships acts the fun bulls and all that so it's a lot of issues and when watching this game over a little bit this morning.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_03]: There were some very.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_03]: Easy weaknesses on this defense that we're noticeable in this game and some of them Patch champion is bad as he was that was a big weakness.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that's going to be as consistent of weakness throughout the season
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to Stike, and though, he did a great job of making certain cover, the field, and having to cover the horizontal plane, which the reasons for tan wasn't top three overall pick was the long speed.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's really good on that vertical plane, because he's so technical and the length, everything like that.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: You see that there, but having to actually, you know, come down, he'll cut across us with the the pick plays in there.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't have the same twitch as.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: Stingly, I guess, who's a little bit quicker on that downhill.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: So shout out to Stike in the game plan, make him so starting a wrap, but that was, yeah.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's not a perfect corner.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this is, there are some faults, not faults, even.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: But areas where he's a B plus instead of an A plus.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_03]: I'd say on that as it was more so, I mean, it's taking part of that, but it's playing into his habit of trail technique.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_03]: So Patch 10 loves to play trail, but really enables him to do a lot of what he does well, right?
- 21:57[SPEAKER_03]: Playing trail when you're working horizontally doesn't work so well, because you're just giving up space on easier, quicker throws, instead of working vertically where you're limiting the amount of space
- 22:08[SPEAKER_03]: But again, that's not an issue with this defense that I expect to persist throughout the season.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_03]: Alex single ten on the other hand, that is an issue I expect to persist throughout the season.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_03]: And it's to the point where not that Justin Sonob was phenomenal this game.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_03]: I think he was one of the better defensive players, but not phenomenal, not good even.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_03]: It's just one of the better players because everyone on the defense played that bad.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_03]: is I think it's not going to happen, but Denver should anyways be having that conversation when green lines back that it should be synod and green lines as the starters because start at least gives you a little bit more range, a little bit more ability coverage that single and doesn't and the culture able to exploit that.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_03]: And part of that goes into Manchester's issues with adjustments for deep with defenses, especially with missing players is having an article that's coming out today.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_03]: Might be actually up now on my live
- 23:01[SPEAKER_03]: But the way Ben shows the views players is consistently questionable.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't always use players to their strengths, especially in the secondary and coverage.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_03]: I guess I should say not necessarily secondary, and he doesn't always account for injuries.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_03]: With something works, he likes to stick with it, which that's understandable to an extent.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_03]: But he got to be able to adjust per opponent, and there wasn't much adjustment for the
- 23:27[SPEAKER_03]: after the titans game against cam board and the lack of weapons at the titans have.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_03]: And singleton got exposed.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_03]: There was issues that were there on the cold safe and so not adjusting or on the titan safe and not adjusting for the cults for the difference of weapons and different caliber of weapons from Joseph led to even more issues from singleton.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: Not a good game.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: Some other issues with Singleton are not completely on him.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I want to get that in a second.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: My first flying sloth good to see a head of watch the last right after watching burrow go down.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: Not sure why I let myself get excited.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that burrow stuff.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry for you falling sloth.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry for burrow as well.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: Sounds like he's going to miss three months following surgery.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: So that money net football game maybe gets a little less.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: exciting, but I mean, three months from the Bengals, that could be a season killer for them.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm, you know, not wishing injury on anybody, but that's might help out Denver in the end.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_01]: We will see with that one, we got Texas lean coming over on Twitch.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to lie fell asleep.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: And then you got mad and woke up, woke up, pissed as hell, me too.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: We got gay Bronx got to give Jones credit and made some accurate throws with a defender, breathing down his neck a few times, yeah, shout out to
- 24:37[SPEAKER_01]: Daniel Jones last season is football rehab with Kevin O'Connell spent half a year with Kevin O'Connell looking good grain of didn't really work from a Carthie last night.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: God, the Falcons defense was on his butt.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_01]: And also, I should credit us, Tykin.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think the usage of the heavy personnel, Tyler Warren, Jonathan Taylor.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's not going to be many teams this season.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: That have the tight end running back offensive line trio with any of Jones's athleticism as well.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to give the Broncos problems like that.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_01]: I do think though this.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: This is a concerning result for the Philly game.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just say that.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: It was already concerning with the Philly game, but uh, uh, uh, that one, this is, it might take the Eagles on the spread, whatever they gave.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: Unless it's double digits, I don't know how Denver plays that one, but you never know.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: Um, heck, I might, this might be me being a hater.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not a Daniel, uh, Jalen Hertz.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: Believer, a hundred middle of the field stuff.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: He Daniel Jones has hit in the middle of field and this one hurts, can't.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: And hurts horrible area.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll give it some, give, have to give, gave rocks some credit and pump the brakes on this Broncos defense being a lead.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about it kind of for a second there, but.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: the 2015 defense.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, everybody in playing rookie camward week one.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: So it was six sacks seven sacks.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_01]: They gave up negative two yards or whatever in the in the second half net net yards, whatever the heck it was.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: 2015 defense again.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: Look how good they are.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm 2015 defense stepped up.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously there was games where they were not great, but playing makers stepped up and made game changing plays.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: And the Broncos, Zach Allen, Benito, Cooper, Hafanga, the Sertan, whoever just weeded and see a gamer, make a play in this one.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: And he ended up losing 29, 28.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: If one play from one of those guys, a sack, it turned over, maybe a different result, but just didn't have that this week.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, I think that's a difference between good or great defenses and elite defenses, elite defenses, as you said, they had those guys step up and make the plays with needed.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: Or someone's step up and make the plays with needed.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_03]: And there's just more many of them against the Coles.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they had one sack.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't have any takeaways.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_03]: They, I don't think they registered a single run stop or had a or led that have the Coles have an unsuccessful
- 27:04[SPEAKER_01]: on the last drive when they were forced the 60 yard fuel goal they got Taylor in the backfield.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: It was a very last drive.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I remember now.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_03]: So they had the one.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_03]: And it's just it's rough, but you know, good great defense is still how bad games ever had.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_03]: Denver's defense last year had bad games.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_03]: They had multiple of them throughout the season.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_03]: Baltimore Raven's game again, as an example of it.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_03]: So they still could be a good or great defense.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_03]: They could still and should still at the end of the season be, you know, top five, top 10 at the very least.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_03]: But will they be the undoubted number one?
- 27:40[SPEAKER_03]: Probably not.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_03]: They may not even be number two.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_03]: There's some rather good defensive player at this, but one thing that has also worth remembering to is Granite was after one week last year, but after one week last year, the new one and Saints had the best offense by almost every single metric.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_03]: Bad games happen, break games happen, and hopefully Denver's defense can figure it out, hopefully when they get Drake Greenlaw back in Naples, Ben's just to actually do what he wants to do instead of what trying to do it without the, you know, having Greenlaw in there.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_03]: I, this defense is still figuring things out, still putting things together, which is where to say for a defense that was last year, but they've changed a lot as well, and I don't think people realize how much that they've changed, especially with the coverage with the addition of Hufanga and rotating their knickles a little bit more as Baron actually technically started this game, but no one saw more snaps.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot still going on a lot of moving pieces.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_03]: They're still figuring out it's one game.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_03]: There's cause for panic.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_03]: Not having a big guy in the middle of the deep run defense.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_03]: That was a big issue throughout the off season.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_03]: That was an issue that Sean Peyton has wanted to, you know, fix for the last few years.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_03]: But they weren't able to get those pieces this off season.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_03]: They wanted out from Collins.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_03]: He didn't fall to a range where they were able to get him.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_03]: He went far earlier than a lot of people expected.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: They tried to keep her to boundary sweat two drafts ago.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: Apparently that's the rumor.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and so it's something that they wanted they just weren't able to fill it and that will be a consistent issue with the defense throughout the season.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: And that was a point I wanted to bring up earlier.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: We got Michael Runkyos, this is good morning, Nick and Eric and Broncos were breakfast, gobo, Broncos.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, thank you so much, Michael.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: You guys, area grievances, and we appreciate Michael keeping the lights on and all.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: Our members as well, shout out to all of them.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: If you guys want to become a member today, make sure you do that.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see the thing on here anymore.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: They must have taken it down there.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: We go become a member at MHH for us.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: That helps us as a heck of a lot.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate everybody who does that.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: But keep it rolling here.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: Great point.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: You mentioned singleton being bad.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: Just turn on not a great game either I think a lot of that mean yes the linebackers were bad, but And you've we've touched on it a thousand times, but you have a lot of one on one good run players in the defensive line But nobody who has the Football's dirty sometimes nobody has the girth the length the mass to command double teams no matter what DJ Jones, you know one on one he can eat a guy
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: He's just not quite big enough to have a range of influence as a double teamer or the athleticism in that body type as well to do that, which again, still a very good player, a very valuable player, but not that true zero one technique where it's two bodies, you're freeing up a linebacker.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: There's just too much hands on the linebackers in this one and they're not necessarily.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: come a cozy type of players and stuff to get that done and they get exposed when they do that.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: So missing Malcolm Roach also a piece of that going DJ Jones and Malcolm Roach, I think, negates that a little bit, but when it's, you know, Allen, JFM, did your smaller edge rushers, even though, you know, good, but smaller, they just are.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: You come up against an offensive line like this one, how they play it, especially with Taylor Warren being a plus in the run in a chess piece in the run game and pass game and then Daniel Jones, it's looks like this one.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see that I want to say next week.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_01]: major gut check time for this Broncos team, especially with how the chargers with John Harba want to run the football.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: Now, granted, they lost later for the year, but that's a, that's a physical team that wants to grind you down.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: Herbert's obviously going to make way more can make way more unbelievable ester throws.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what they look like tonight versus the the Raiders as well, but big gut check time for the Broncos.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's way too early in the year to call anything a must win,
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: are hosting a playoff game.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: It might be a must win game a week three.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: I just can't you have to beat your division opponents and now that you've already lost one to somebody who you're probably going to be up against coming playoff time for seeding might be a must win.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: If your goal is AFC West.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and with the run defense real quick with that, you mentioned DJ Jones.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_03]: And part of the issue with him is that he's really good one on one.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_03]: He just doesn't win consistently enough to be a significant threat to demand double teams.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_03]: So if you you're going to go with this smaller front and try to aim for winning one on ones.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_03]: You got to have you guys, and this is an issue with Zach Allen, it's an issue with John for the Myers, it's an issue with John for the Cooper.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_03]: If you're going to have these guys that are and try to force one on once, you need somebody or try to force double teams.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_03]: You need somebody to win consistently enough on one on once, two force those double teams and they don't have that.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_03]: And that can help out the linebackers for making the plays.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_03]: So in the way one of the changes that the defense has made is how they're handling the run.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_03]: The linebackers are more so aiming for
- 32:35[SPEAKER_03]: closing gaps down, instead of hitting the ball carrier in the gap, they're playing a little bit more, I can't remember what it's called, what it's the term as that she's for it, but they're playing it to her who fungus the one coming down or Jones, one of their defensive backs is coming down and meeting the lineback or meeting the running back in the hole with the linebackers being used to help close it down.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_03]: If you want to play that style of game and play that cell of run defense, you have to have full B4 so you can double teams up front.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_03]: And the cult's offense, it's not the run game isn't built on double teams like the Titans were.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_03]: So that's what we had a lot of success against Titans, they are more their runs run concepts are more we're going to start with the double and we're going to be a lot of cult's not so much they'll do a little bit of chipping to help one guy get in place, but it's not really true double teams is just setting up a single block a little bit better.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_03]: So the Broncos don't have that kind of piece on their defensive line and if you don't have that piece and you have to have a big two-gapping guy a big massive body up there now
- 33:34[SPEAKER_03]: One thing also with this is we got to remember who Vance Joseph his true mentor was and why he absolutely loved it.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_03]: You a lot of people think that a lot of people don't always forget that his true mentor was Wade Phillips and Wade Phillips actually made it big in these three four fronts.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_03]: The smaller
- 34:01[SPEAKER_03]: Wade Phillips made that popular in Vance Joseph likes that Sean Peyton doesn't.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_03]: So I wonder part of it too when talking about the number one in that is there's a little bit of a clash between Joseph and Peyton when it comes to the mentality of these bigger body knows tackles.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, maybe I mean.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: Reportedly though they have been looking for something that is a little bit, you know, that why you're right.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_03]: How much that is, Peyton and Peyton and how much he has those such just being like, you guys with that go to the jail manager, I'm going to set back, but I don't really want that piece.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not a good game for Vance Joseph, not a good game for the Broncos and just, you know, couldn't quite get it done.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: We got Troy coming in.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder whether the culture of playoff team and Jones is a probable discussions of so we look back and feel differently, roaches missed.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: Very possible.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it is week two.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_01]: We do have a little bit better idea of who these teams are, but you know, seasons are.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: In quarters, you know, four game kind of snip four four game mini series plus one someone in there because a new schedule, but yeah, we will we'll get a little bit of even a better idea next week.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: Colts had the Broncos number in this one.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: How do they adjust and one thing I really I really come across this with a lot of Iowa teams and we've kind of seen this with the Broncos teams as well.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: Is that early on you're kind of feeling out and you can lose some games you shouldn't have lost early on, but.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: Really, it's the well-coached teams and the mentally tough teams.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: You see them grow over the season.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: They become a different team.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: So, is the team that we've seen these first two weeks?
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: AFC West Division title worthy?
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: Could they become week 12?
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, they have to do enough early on to endure, which, drop in one against the cults, isn't that?
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: But you have a chance to reset this week.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: You get an extra day to prepare as well because the Chargers played in night.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what plays out, but it's way too early to panic.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: Again, big picture.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: What does this mean for the Broncos?
- 35:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm skeptical that sends up being a top three defense in the league after this one.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_01]: But if you take a, let's say that Cleveland game was week two last season.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: We'd be saying this is potentially one of the worst defenses in the league.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: So let's see what the sample size, a cumulative overtime.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: They got a chance to rebound next week against a big opponent.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: And again, it's not necessarily a must win, but it's a, if your goals,
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: Almost got to have it.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: So I appreciate Troy coming in 999, Troy is Troy and Michael Ron Kio always coming in supporting the show.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to John.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't typically see John Mortensen coming in, but didn't want to come back to that one as well.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_01]: We also got the great one coming in.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't recognize this name, but I do see that he's got, I think that's the name is Sly.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe from Teen Titans, look over there.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: I used to love Teen Titans back on the day.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: So shout out to you, I guess I wasn't nerd.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: was Eric, don't know comment from you.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: Was, uh, it's late.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_01]: Slate.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: Slate.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: Slate.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: Slate.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: Slate.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: See, I can't get it right.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: See, I, I'm holding my, uh, my title there.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not being the bigger nerd.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you, Eric.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, the great one says people are ripping into bow over the tip of the interception is ridiculous.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_01]: He had damn near perfect game.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: Fan base wouldn't handle in prime gunslingers like far.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, the one thing I will say as far was fitting in and crazy windows and making S to your throws.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: And not that Nick's had a bad game that's not what I'm saying at all, but, you know, you didn't see him pushing windows or making, you know, highway after highway in this one, but, but, but Nick's had a good game.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: Nick's was good in this one.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: I thought this was one of the best games we've seen from him as far as navigating the pockets and manipulating defenders.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: I do wish that.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes he would use his athleticism a little bit more.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: You saw it from Daniel Jones.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, maybe even play a little bit more like hurts has been willing to tuck the ball and run.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, my homes as well all the time when he's at his best.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's keeping drives alive.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: We see that tuck the ball and go athleticism from next.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see that a little bit more in this one.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_01]: But this was a good game from Nick's overall the spray chart.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't show him pushing the ball vertically like crazy.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: has only two completions over 10 yards.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: I believe were the two two of his touchdown passes.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: So again, not incredible.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: There might be one more.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe I'm thinking 15 yards to ahead the spray chart pulled up a second ago.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's like I took it down though because too many tabs.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: But next had a good game.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: Would it have been better to see him operate that two minute drill at the end of the first half?
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: Better?
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, I mean, three points there, Broncos win probably would have been better for the Broncos to put up more than seven points in the second half.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, of course.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: But overall, good game from Nick's, there's always room for improvement, but he is low, low, low on the list of criticisms coming out of this game.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, he is one of the bigger positives in my opinion.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: It was a good game from Nick's.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he was, it was a good game.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_03]: I will say that the decision to make that
- 38:50[SPEAKER_03]: It was hit at the line.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_03]: It was triangle coverage on Sutton and the Colts were making an effort pretty consistently to have the game to put two or three players on Sutton to shut them down.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_03]: So it's still a questionable decision.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_03]: But that said, the bad-a-pass changes the angle, changes the directory, it changes the flow of the ball, it changes so much with it, and it kind of flutters out, and finally I'm able to make the pick on it, who is a top part of the triangle in it.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_03]: It's a questional decision, but the interceptions not directly on him.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, he had a good game overall.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_03]: I'm with you.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'd like to see that athleticism a little bit more.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_03]: I'd like to see just something to try to help keep defenses a little bit more honest.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_03]: Especially when you play somebody like Lou and Arumo, I can never say his last name right.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_03]: He is one of those defensive quotas, actually a fresh onesy, I love what he does, I think he's a great defensive coordinator, but he always cheats either he's shooting his coverage to stop the runner is shooting against the run to stop the pass.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_03]: And he adjusts it based on whatever the offense is doing well.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_03]: And there was a lot of cheating the coverage to do the run.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_03]: That's where Dan for had some of their offensive success and credit for BoNix was start realizing that and making some adjustments at the line to take advantage of that.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_03]: I would have liked to have seen a little bit more from Nixon Peyton when Big Lou goes and adjusts it back for shooting the run to play a coverage a little bit more to take advantage of that against the run with the running game.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't really do that.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_03]: They still tried to make some passes and it led to some make completions, some bad plays for the offense, some negative plays for the offense, but
- 40:41[SPEAKER_03]: But next was a positive, JK Dobbins was a positive, like there was basically all the positives in this game are on defense and maybe the ponder as well.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: on offense, you mean, but I know what you're saying.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_01]: And the puncher, yep, we want to give a shout to Jeremy Prascha, I was really on his butt to start the season because I was concerned that this supposed to be a defense special team's lead team, while the offense kinda still gets it together, still figuring out what the weapon pecking order is.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: And that was not the case in this one.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see, maybe it's a case of the Broncos, you know,
- 41:15[SPEAKER_01]: to eagerly sniffing their own farts coming out of that titan's game.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: Don't do that.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't recommend that.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_01]: But this is a bad game from the defense overall.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: To not have a single takeaway, they're not for a single punt.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_01]: Really just like one of the things that made the Broncos defense, great last season was just there, negative play rate.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: The run stuff, the sacks, turnovers.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the big ones that you want and just do not have it in this one at all.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like way too often the cults were
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: ahead of the sticks.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: So, um, good to see the great one coming.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_01]: I also wanted to say hello to a Denver Luke, a big takeaway from this one.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: You mentioned Dobbins.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_01]: You mentioned Bonyx.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mentioned Ellis.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it crossed out.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_01]: Those were the guys I want to highlight.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: The last one of course has to be Troy Franklin.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: Um, what a first half from him.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: It would have been nice to, you know, I don't know if there was adjustment on the Colts, I'd have to go back and see.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_01]: But the,
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: the extended play where he took off down the sideline incredible from him and he's coming down with him we haven't had a knock on wood it's over here now it's further away I moved everything because there's 10 boxes over there we haven't had a drop this season I can recall from him yet but and I know that you know Sean Peyton rolling his eyes you know we don't have a true wide receiver too well but as far as targets go had hope and it was being Evan Ingram he's been a little MIA right now I know he's dealing with the injury but not what we've wanted
- 42:36[SPEAKER_01]: Three years of control left a little less than because we're two games in, but Excited to see Troy Franklin step up and Give a little bit of an explosiveness to the offense
- 42:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, it's great to see he's a guy that, you know, I'm eating crow on it and it is what it is, but for this game, you can make the case that he was wide receiver one for this one.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_03]: We played most apps, had the most targets, had the most catches.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_03]: Granted, he wasn't drawing Zavion Howard's avion Howard had a rough start to the game, but he really, when he'd finally just matched him up on something.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_03]: He's he ended up having a great game, but Troy Franklin.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he was great that one play the heads up play with the extended play example.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_03]: That was such a smart play by Franklin.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_03]: He and it was highlighted by the broadcast and you see Kenny Moore.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_03]: He kind of steps up.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_03]: He has that moment of hesitation and Franklin cuts it back up field.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_03]: He creates that opening for Nick to drop the ball in track of the ball well and came down with it.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so it was just a great heads up play for him and you're really starting to see more with him after the catch and then resutilizing them in such a way.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I mean, if right now, I'm both of us, we were saying that an Ingram is going to be the number two guy in targets, but Ingram dealing with an injury, who knows he's going to be what's going to happen with that, but uh,
- 43:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm Troy Franklin.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_03]: He looked really good.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_03]: I'd say even though it was a smaller sample Pat Brian looked really good as well.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_03]: He had three targets two catches on I think like 14 snaps total.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_03]: So he's still not playing a whole lot, but he is still making an impact.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_03]: I can't remember if both of them were first on I know one of the catches was a first down even though all of us thought that he was just a little bit short of getting into both of our first downs.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: There's one
- 44:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I just can't remember the first one.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_03]: I know the second one was, just because there was that one that was like, it looked a little bit short, but they gave it to them, gave it to them anyways.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_03]: And then I think the colds challenge it too.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm not being overturned.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_03]: Just not conclusive enough evidence.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_03]: both young receivers are looking good.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_03]: Franklin a little bit more so Brian still overcoming that rookie label of him and something that Sean Baton is hesitant to utilize too much, so but yeah, the young receiver room.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_03]: It's one that a position that both of us had a lot of questions coming in, but the young wider receivers are looking good.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_03]: Even men's is looking better even though they're just not quite making as many of the big plays.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what a touchdown for him on that, right?
- 45:00[SPEAKER_01]: It was meant early on.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_01]: What am I to see the Broncos going to keep in it role in there, scoring some points, but credit to the, credit to the cults.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_01]: They got it done again, but just as much as we're talking about the Broncos defense and it just being one game, you know, not to be too low on them.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was a bad game of call it as it is.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: We probably should practice the same for the offense, you know, it's not just, uh, it's not just something we should use when it's effective for us and makes us feel better about the defense and then ignore it for the Broncos offense playing much better in this one.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: Colts were without their best pass rusher, they were down to starting cornerbacks and the Broncos probably could have taken even more.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_01]: What's the word I'm looking for advantage of them in this one then they did so Especially in the second half only walking away with one touchdown So again that it's it's positive signs for that one just like it's negative signs for the Broncos defense But again, it's one game and against a team that was missing a lot but overall You know, we'll take it.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I wish we you know walking out with the W instead of the loss, but It is what it is and it also kind of feels like karma
- 46:10[SPEAKER_01]: Cosmic balance after the Broncos probably stealing a game against the Colts last season that they probably didn't have business stealing after that Jonathan Taylor miscuse.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_01]: So balances out in the end Denver now falls to 111.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_01]: They got their work cut out for them
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: Again, you can lose the season the first four weeks, but you're not winning the Super Bowl based on the first four weeks.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see how they respond.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: It is a huge.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: I already said it in here.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's a Chad phrase as well.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_01]: But this is a gut check game coming up against the Chargers next week.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_01]: If you are a team that's internally really excited and that even afraid to say, Super Bowl, you better fricking win.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: Next week, especially coming off of this loss, I do think that the culture in this Broncos building is good, but this is a good charges team as well.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think Jim Harba, I mean, we've seen it has a...
- 47:01[SPEAKER_01]: A deadline a little bit, you know, there's a the Jim Harba experience tends to wear out.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's welcome, but this is your two coming off that chiefs game.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_01]: They have a chance to be, you know, 2 and 0 beating the Raider if they beat the Raiders tonight.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: I would assume they do.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: But this is an unbelievably big game next Sunday for the Broncos.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_01]: So who do they want to be?
- 47:22[SPEAKER_01]: Is this a team that is going to be a middle of the pack?
- 47:26[SPEAKER_01]: Are they going to be a team that's contending for the AFC West?
- 47:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's said often in the NFL, I'm not coming up with this phrase for the first time, but it's much easier to go from bad to mediocre than it is to go from mediocre to good to great good slash great.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have last season despite the Broncos making the playoffs, it was like one of the
- 47:47[SPEAKER_01]: worst there was like the biggest discrepancy in teens last season like the bears had the ninth pick but they only had like five wins like typically if you have five wins you're picking top six top five they're picking nine there's a lot of bad teams last season Broncos were closer to your little practice by making the playoffs like was Denver that much different than the colds last season that the like the first three teams out
- 48:09[SPEAKER_01]: No, they really weren't.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: They made the playoffs because of CDN and everything got awesome, but they're probably closer to the middle pack than the upper echelon.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: Right now they look probably 18 that's still closer than the little pack than the upper echelon.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: But we have a lot of season to go.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of young players, and a lot of that, it's going to depend on culture and coaching of where they can go from here.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_01]: But really, really just a hurtful loss on this one.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_01]: Eric would be really nice to be sitting here to know two games above the chiefs.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_01]: by yourself until Monday night's game.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_01]: But alas, Denver did not deserve to win this game.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: And they just too many miscues.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: And stats say the cults probably deserve to win anyway.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_03]: It's tough.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_03]: It's a hard.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_03]: It's a gut wrenching loss.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_03]: It's a heart breaking loss.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_03]: Next week is, you know, that game where you really want to see how they respond, how they bounce back from this and such a devastating loss last year against the chiefs in that first game, the blog field goal.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_03]: Then for bounce back well.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_03]: So I, I believe in the culture, Sean Patents built in this in the in the in the locker room and with this team to bounce back from that
- 49:22[SPEAKER_03]: If a season was over after the second week, well, the pillow day alpha Eagles wouldn't have won't have to say, well, the Washington Commanders wouldn't have won the NFC Championship game, both teams started to want to run last year, but the more Ravens started to want to run last year.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_03]: So, it's a tough loss, but it's still early in the season and you touched on this before.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_03]: how you are at the start of the season isn't who you are at the end of the season.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_03]: Teams grow, teams progress, teams develop, teams get more chemistry down.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_03]: They, you know, players start to, you know, individual player step up, injuries happen.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_03]: There are so many variables still up them play that maybe this team's not suitable like they think they are, maybe they are, maybe they find they're stride and like the Eagles did last year and win it all.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's hard, it's impossible to say because there's so many variables.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_03]: Again, heartbreaking loss, it's tough, feel it, have that emotion, but you know, at the end of the day, there's another game next week.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_03]: It's, they're not out of it.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's not a playoff game where you lose you go home.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_03]: There's still 15 games left, a lot can happen.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm, I saw somebody ask at the side of this if we're going to change the record predictions.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just going with 13 to 4 until they lose five games if that happens.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's just, that's the, that's how I'm going about this season.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_03]: previous years, you know, I've been, you know, oh, I have them at this.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_03]: Well, one loss.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_03]: Well, maybe not.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm going to stick with it.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_03]: 13 to 4 until they're not.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's a, I probably would change mine to 10 wins.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_01]: Now, based on that, but I said 11 early on.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_01]: I counted this as a win, but I also thought the Bangle's game is a toss of another Joe Burroughs not going to be in there at home.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: Denver better freaking take care of it.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_01]: So again, now we will find out, so over time, this right now looks like more like a garden variety mediocre middle of the pack team with some defensive regression.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_01]: But again, one game, well, this game really kind of showed the,
- 51:25[SPEAKER_01]: how do I put it?
- 51:25[SPEAKER_01]: This game also kind of showed that coverage could be extremely volatile year to year and the coverage players the reason they don't get paid like past wrestlers because their window is shorter and they are just not as dependable season to season in.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: This was a not a great game from titanium, not all in him, but right now this team looks like one that's going to be based on the first two weeks.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: It looks like a 500 team, but right now they are, they are with that right now, but we'll see a lot of season to go who they are right now is not necessarily who they're going to be
- 51:55[SPEAKER_01]: middle to season and the season so can make keep improving can the coaches push the right buttons can guys continue to develop still a still a team with a lot of young players that can fill rules so last year they started on to and they one of the rare teams to make an one to then turn to playoffs and I'm granted that number changes now that they added an extra playoff team so that's a little better chance than last season but we'll see.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_01]: Disappointing, they had it.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_01]: Miscused, they're gonna be sick watching the fourth quarter.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_01]: Eric has John Peyton already alluded to.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_01]: And hopefully, you know, given the character and gumption of this team, it's something to build on and take it out on a Charger's team next week.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll see, but I gotta get going, guys.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_01]: I will not be here Wednesday morning.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: We have the Movers coming out.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_01]: Beyond my way to Denver.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_01]: So appreciate everyone coming in.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'll show all the, I mean, gosh,
- 52:52[SPEAKER_01]: God bless, man.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_01]: But we're living life.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be out of here soon and a pre-shave one, Eric, I'll hold down the fort and hopefully I'll be with you guys in a new location.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure what I'm going to record on because I won't have my table that I'm normally on, but we'll figure it out.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully, uh, for just hold my day.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_03]: Hold the whole time.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_01]: Just hold the camera.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_03]: Just hold just hold the camera.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_03]: Just like get one of those sticks like a selfie stick.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see, but I appreciate everyone coming in, shout out to all our super chat givers, killing it today.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_01]: We got John Mortensen, Michael Rankio, Troy Boer, of course, the great one, Denver Luke as well, sucks to have Denver lose that one, but hopefully over time these things balance out, and Denver can learn and grow and improve upon that.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_01]: But promising signs from the offense, one game, bad signs from the defense, one game.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully this one doesn't come back to by Denver in the butt and it'll be a footnote on an overall exciting playoff bound division winning team this season.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'll air.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_01]: I love you holding firm with your 16 and one season as you predicted.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_03]: 13 and 14 13.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: I heard.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: I heard.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_01]: Again.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_03]: And like the next few weeks they're tough.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_03]: They're one of the, it's one of the toughest stretches of it.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_03]: This will be a true test for the Broncos.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_03]: I think the, you know, the chargers, even the Bengals that are a bro, Jake Browning, he stepped in before and helped the Bengals be in good position for the playoffs.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_03]: They really trust them as a backup.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_03]: You had a really terrible game match just filling a nest shape, but it's hard for a backup quarterback to come in mid game for a game plan that was designed for your starting quarterback, compared to going into a game with a game plan that's designed for you.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_03]: So, and then you have the Eagles, the Jets and the Giants, those will be some very interesting games, as well, one being in London and then one possibly being Russell Wilson, though it looks like that he won't be starting.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_03]: It looks like it can be Jackson Dark by that point, but tough schedules coming up.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_03]: This will be a true test of where the Broncos really are at at this season.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they're just better than we thought, make.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe just come to that.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_03]: Even though they they manhandled the dolphins and they beat the Broncos, maybe they're just better than we all thought they were coming into the season.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_03]: So sometimes that's the case.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_03]: Only time will tell.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_01]: There are surprised teams like that every year.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_01]: Just like the Broncos, right?
- 55:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure the Tampa Bay coming out a week through is like we lost to this Denver team.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_01]: They're trash.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_01]: mediocre average team last season makes a playout.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see Colorado Adventurers see it there'll be a one and four after five games.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I hope not But they got a chance coming up here one game at a time I expect better from the defense going forward and hopefully this game lights up fire under there But and gets everybody a little bit, you know reenergized and refocus.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see One game at time numbers one and one the R which your record says you are small sample
- 55:45[SPEAKER_01]: lot of season to go, lot of season to go.

- 56:23[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I got out of focus there with how hard to do that with a 20 month old Eric.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_01]: Let me tell you, but appreciate everyone final thoughts Eric.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_03]: No, I mean, as I said, it's just, it's just one game.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_03]: It's not the end all be all, it's not, it's week two.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_03]: It's a little bit different if this was like week 16 and playoff seating and we really had an idea about it.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_03]: Could this come back and bite them in the bite? 100%.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_03]: we just don't know until we know.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_03]: And so just take a deep breath.

- 57:24[SPEAKER_01]: Continue to just kind of compassion.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_01]: One and one, it stinks on a loser Monday, but hey, next Monday, we'll hopefully we're back in that winning culture and moving forward under the winning record.
