Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: The following podcast contains descriptions of violence and horror.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Listener discretion is advised.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: Log number one Antoine de Rose recording.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: I wanted to start these entries from the beginning.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Well, the beginning as far as we know.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: June of 1974, Allendale, Michigan.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: The first recorded incident involving a gore, although it would be some time before there was acknowledgement of that fact, official or otherwise.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: The bulk of the incidents began in the nineteen eighties, and I don't believe anyone wanted to admit that this epidemic had begun nearer to ten years earlier.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: Anyone who knew about the slaughter at that barbecue went to great lengths to pretend that it was an isolated nightmare.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: But I digress.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: Anyway, the murders occurred at a beach house.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: Senior students from local Allendale High School were celebrating their graduation earlier that day with a beachfront barbecue party.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: According to the police reports and the eyewitness statement of the lone survivor, a large male wearing a hockey mask somehow got into the house and at exactly midnight began slaughtering everyone in the house.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: Nearly every student was found to be brutally murdered.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Some by impalement, multiple decapitations, and one instance I can only refer to as bisection.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: Cruesome stuff.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: But as stated, there was one survivor who was taken to the hospital.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: She was unhurt, and she had seen the assailant fall off the top of the roof of the beach house alongside her boyfriend, but neither body was originally found.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Excuse me.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: As you can imagine, it's not easy to recount such a brutally violent story.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: I'll continue.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: After the police took Jessica that was her name, by the way.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: After they took Jessica to the hospital, it appears that the killer followed her.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: He not only killed Jessica in that same brutal fashion as her classmates, but he went on to do the same to over one hundred patients and staff members before escaping.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: Footage of the violence was recorded throughout the hospital.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: It was it was as if he was angry that Jessica escaped, so he decided to escalate as a follow-up.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: Hockey Mask, as he was known from then on, did not make a reappearance until 1983, conducting the same type of murder spree at a summer camp, and then again at a youth center in Brooklyn in 1996.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: We know that it was the same perpetrator due to the matching fingerprints at every scene, despite the murders taking place over the course of twenty years.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Because of this, I have designated Hockey Mask as a Category two gore.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: As I record this, there has not been any sightings of this particular culprit since the killings in ninety six.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: But if I'm right, and he is a category two, then well, then it's just likely a matter of time before the slaughterfest continues.
