  questions to Jackson Wheat who is an atheist, as well as any

  other atheist out there that wants to respond to my kind of

  challenge. I used to do challenges in the

  past and a lot of people seem to enjoy it.

  It caused a lot of conversation and interaction.

  Jackson Wheat was originally on a show that I moderated

  recently. TTOR creationist Young Earth Guy

  ended up having a discussion science based as well as some

  other topics with Mr. Jackson Wheat and I got the impression

  that Jackson Wheat is a pretty decent guy.

  He seems nice as far as my experiences with atheists have
• 1:55
  had a lot of bad ones, but the guy actually seemed like he did

  research, that he did do some studying, and that he actually
• 2:04
  does care about concepts such as the universe, consciousness and
• 2:10
  is actually seems formally educated.

  So I figured why not let's do a video to him, ask him some
• 2:19
  questions and any non believers who think they might have
• 2:23
  something they can bring it to the table as well.

  There was a point in the discussion where you started
• 2:32
  basically saying some things about your perception or concept
• 2:37
  of God. And when I say that, I mean that
• 2:40
  whenever I listen to atheist discuss their perception of God,
• 2:45
  their concept of God is much different than the concept of
• 2:49
  God that I believe in or I perceive.
• 2:52
  I see God in a lot of different ways, but atheists always see
• 2:56
  God in a negative light. And I'm curious.

  Mr. Jackson Wheat, is your issue with God more about His
• 3:05
  existence or its existence or is it about its behavior?

  I noticed a lot of non believers seem to get emotionally
• 3:15
  distracted by some of the information or the behaviors or
• 3:20
  attributes of God in the Bible. When I'm saying attributes I'm
• 3:24
  not talking about his omniscience, omnipresence, all
• 3:28
  knowing abilities to be able to do everything that is logically
• 3:32
  possible. I'm talking about the parts
• 3:35
  where he shows anger or what some atheists would call
• 3:40
  animosity whenever he destroys people or causes cataclysms or
• 3:46
  destruction. Is this the issue, or is it
• 3:50
  mostly just the idea of something like this actually
• 3:54
  existing? Does it?
• 3:58
  When you think about God, does it bother you that there's there
• 4:03
  could be an actual entity or some foreign alien cosmic being
• 4:10
  that is in the universe capable of actually seeding worlds with
• 4:15
  life? See I noticed whenever I'm
• 4:18
  talking to a lot of non believers.
• 4:20
  If I were to ask you or many scientific supposed atheist, do
• 4:26
  you believe in aliens? Do you believe that there's
• 4:29
  other life in the universe? Usually the argument is, while
• 4:33
  the universe is so big and so grand, there are billions of
• 4:38
  planets and the universe is so expanded that it's highly
• 4:45
  probable that's the argument, that there's other life out
• 4:49
  there. And Stephen Hawkins, who was an
• 4:52
  atheist, actually suggested that not only did he believe that
• 4:56
  there were aliens out there, but he was nervous and had anxiety
• 5:01
  on the idea that the aliens that exist are not only life forms
• 5:07
  that are intelligent, but they're superior and more
• 5:10
  advanced than ourselves, capable of enslaving us and destroying
• 5:15
  us if they were to take notice of our actual existence.
• 5:21
  So let me try to put this in a different way in case the 1st
• 5:26
  way I ask this doesn't make sense.

  Is it the existence of something like this that's the problem for
• 5:36
  an atheist such as yourself? Just the mere existence or is it
• 5:42
  the behavior itself that bothers you?
• 5:45
  Are you one of these type of non believers where you say well God
• 5:49
  can't be good or God can't be loving because AB and C?
• 5:57
  Do you have any scientific reasons why it is that something
• 6:02
  like this couldn't exist? And I will remind all of you out
• 6:06
  there. Even if your perception or
• 6:09
  concept of God were true. Even if it was true that God was
• 6:14
  this megalomaniacal, tyrannical, evil dark force.
• 6:23
  I mean straight out of something like the movie The Neverending
• 6:26
  Story, like a nothingness that just eats everything in its way.
• 6:31
  Just because you don't like the behavior and attributes, you got
• 6:35
  to realize that in no way would that disprove the existence of
• 6:39
  something. I couldn't sit here all day and
• 6:42
  talk about a lot of things I don't like about this world that
• 6:46
  in fact there are some things that I actually hate and think
• 6:50
  that the world would be a better place if certain things did not
• 6:53
  exist in the world. However, just because you
• 6:57
  dislike something, or just because you hate something, or
• 7:01
  because something emotionally traumatizes you or bothers you,
• 7:05
  that doesn't equal out to that thing doesn't exist.

  I'll give you an example. I could sit here and say Adolf
• 7:13
  Hitler, Joseph Stalin, They were both terrible, horrible men and
• 7:20
  the world would have been better without them.
• 7:22
  Or perhaps if they didn't exist, something worse would have come
• 7:25
  along. Depends on how much you are into
• 7:28
  the theory of time. But still, even though I didn't
• 7:34
  like them, I can't then turn around, say, well, they weren't
• 7:38
  real or it never happened. So one more time.

  Is it the existence of such an entity that's the problem Or is
• 7:48
  it the behavior that it has that's the problem?

  Usually for a lot of atheists. From what I listen to and what I
• 7:58
  hear and when I interview non believers, it's not about the

  existence of God. Most atheists believe it or not
• 8:05
  will actually contradict their own definition of atheism.

  Cause atheism classically means lacks a belief in deities or
• 8:15
  gods right? Well I asked the question is God
• 8:20
  possible? 90% of the non believers that I
• 8:24
  have had personal acquaintance with or have had discussions
• 8:28
  with have all said yes God or gods are possible.
• 8:35
  Which goes completely against the definition of lacking a
• 8:38
  belief in deities. How can you lack a belief in
• 8:41
  deities? If you believe in the
• 8:43
  possibility of deities you follow, you can try to twist and
• 8:49
  turn and argue your way out of that.

  If that's your view, it doesn't matter to me.
• 8:55
  It's not going to bring me any Internet cookies or anything
• 8:58
  like that. However you try to describe that
• 9:01
  paradox or paradigm. So I guess we'll start from
• 9:06
  there. I'd like to know that.

  How many of you out there believe that there are aliens
• 9:13
  capable of panspermia? Richard Dawkins and his books as
• 9:19
  well as interviews has actually put forth the idea that he has
• 9:24
  no issue with the concept of life forms coming to different
• 9:28
  worlds and actually ceding the population.
• 9:31
  Now, what that means for people out there that don't know is
• 9:34
  that at some point in time, an alien or aliens came to a empty
• 9:39
  world and then they manufactured some kind of life forms and then
• 9:44
  spilt their seed into the oceans or on land.
• 9:47
  And then creatures went armed to exist this way and go through
• 9:52
  some kind of evolutionary process.
• 9:55
  Do you believe that should be possible?
• 9:58
  And also my last question, and I've asked this one quite a few

  times and I have not heard a sensational answer to this yet,

  but what is your thoughts in the Fermi Paradox?

  For those out there that don't know what the Fermi Paradox is,
• 10:16
  at this point in the history of humanity, Earth is the only
• 10:21
  planet that has objective empirical evidence that life
• 10:26
  actually exists. As sentience is real.
• 10:29
  Out of the billions of planets the scientists claim exist, we
• 10:33
  don't have one single shred of evidence.
• 10:36
  I think that it was suggested a while back by scientists that
• 10:39
  there might be a couple molecules or some snot over on
• 10:44
  Mars buried into a sandy mountain or something.
• 10:48
  But we don't have anything that comes close to even that of a
• 10:53
  gerbil or a hamster living on any of the billions of planets
• 10:58
  that allegedly exist. And when I look at that and I
• 11:02
  think to myself, why is it that supposedly on Earth, at the most
• 11:09
  cataclysmic time of its formation, in its existence,
• 11:13
  when ship was flying out of the clouds in the sky, hitting the
• 11:18
  Earth, in all these extinction periods, somehow this planet
• 11:22
  managed to be able to house life forms.
• 11:26
  But all these other planets, there's even scientists that
• 11:29
  claim that there are planets out there that are called
• 11:31
  Goldilocks, planets that are so beautiful that they may even be
• 11:36
  better than the environment of Earth.
• 11:39
  OK, Why isn't it that we haven't discovered anything there?
• 11:46
  Now I'm not wanting to hear a story about how there could
• 11:48
  possibly be aliens, some kind of Star Trek or galactic star story
• 11:54
  where you get all sci-fi on me and say well maybe there is
• 11:58
  creatures they just live under the surface of the planet or
• 12:02
  live underground like 12 Monkeys movie or something like that.
• 12:07
  The point is, is that we don't have any evidence of any kind of
• 12:11
  humanoid creatures. We have no life forms.
• 12:15
  We can't even find a cute little rabbit somewhere.

  Nothing. Why?
• 12:21
  Why is it that out of all this, out of all the fine tuning, out
• 12:25
  of all the the logic that the universe brings to it, this is
• 12:29
  all we have? I got.
• 12:34
  I do have one more single question for everybody, and then
• 12:37
  I'll end it. I want you to really think about
• 12:41
  this too. This isn't just a question.

  The point is to provoke thought and ideas.
• 12:47
  Has it ever been the case that logic existed without the
• 12:50
  presence of a mind? Let me put that forth one more
• 12:55
  time to make sure that everybody understands this.

  Can logic exist without the presence of a mind?

  Now that I've put that forth, I want you to think about this.

  A lot of scientists have been asked, is the universe logical
• 13:11
  and rational? And the answer's always been.

  In order for there to be life in the universe, in order for it to
• 13:18
  exist, there has to be consistency, there has to be
• 13:22
  patterns, there has to be logic and rationality.

  The math has to fit or existence can't work.
• 13:29
  Therefore, logic would exist whether you say it's material or
• 13:34
  immaterial. Well, doesn't logic require a
• 13:37
