- 0:00Speaker 1: I am a Sherry Mackie, and it's time for us
- 0:03Speaker 1: to go to God in prayer. And as always, I
- 0:05Speaker 1: invite you to join along with me in prayer. And
- 0:10Speaker 1: sometimes we just need Lord be our comfort or heavenly Father.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Today we come before you with hearts that may be heavy, weary,
- 0:18Speaker 1: or hurting. Lord. Some of us are carrying burdens that
- 0:21Speaker 1: others know nothing about. Some of us are grieving the
- 0:25Speaker 1: loss of a loved one. Some are facing disappointment, Some
- 0:28Speaker 1: are facing loneliness, some facing heartbreak, are uncertainty or seasons
- 0:33Speaker 1: of pain that seemed difficult to explain. Father, there are
- 0:38Speaker 1: wounds that people cannot see, in tears that have been
- 0:41Speaker 1: cried in private. But Lord, you see it all. As
- 0:44Speaker 1: a matter of fact. You promise that you collect every tear.
- 0:48Speaker 1: And today we lift our eyes to you and we pray,
- 0:52Speaker 1: Lord be our comforter. Father, Wrap your loving presence around
- 0:58Speaker 1: us when the weight of life feels too heavy to bear,
- 1:02Speaker 1: remind us that you are near. When our hearts are overwhelm,
- 1:07Speaker 1: let us find refuge and you when grief rises unexpectedly,
- 1:12Speaker 1: when loneliness settles in, or when disappointment threatens to steal
- 1:17Speaker 1: our hope. Draw us close to you and heart. Lord,
- 1:22Speaker 1: Comfort those who are mourning. Comfort those who are missing
- 1:25Speaker 1: someone they love. Comfort those whose lives have been changed
- 1:28Speaker 1: by circumstances they never expected. You sit with them in
- 1:32Speaker 1: their pain. God, You walk with them through their sorrow.
- 1:36Speaker 1: You let them know, God that they don't have to
- 1:39Speaker 1: navigate this season alone. Father, Comfort the person who feels forgotten,
- 1:44Speaker 1: Comfort the one who feels a band, and comfort the
- 1:46Speaker 1: one whose prayers seem unanswered and whose tears seem endless.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Remind them that you are God who sees. You are
- 1:54Speaker 1: the God who hears. You are the God who cares. Lord.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Where there is anxiety, you bring peace, or there's spear,
- 2:00Speaker 1: you bring courage. Where there is confusion, you bring clarity.
- 2:04Speaker 1: And where there's despair, you bring hope. Let your presence
- 2:07Speaker 1: feel every empty place, in every broken space within us.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And Now, Father, we make this declaration of faith. We
- 2:14Speaker 1: declare that God is our comforter. We declare that we
- 2:17Speaker 1: are not alone. We declare that God is near to
- 2:19Speaker 1: the broken hearted. We declare that His peace is greater
- 2:22Speaker 1: than our pain. We declare that His presence is stronger
- 2:25Speaker 1: than our loneliness. We declare that his love is deeper
- 2:28Speaker 1: than our hurt. We declare that we will not be
- 2:31Speaker 1: overcome by grief. We declare that we will not be
- 2:34Speaker 1: consumed by sorrow. We declare that God is carrying us
- 2:38Speaker 1: through this season. We declare that our tears are seen
- 2:41Speaker 1: and our prayers are heard, and our future is secure
- 2:44Speaker 1: in this Hand's Father, Thank you that when others may
- 2:48Speaker 1: not understand what we're feeling, you do. Thank you that
- 2:52Speaker 1: when we have no words left to pray, your spirit
- 2:55Speaker 1: interceeds for us. Thank you that you are our shelter
- 2:59Speaker 1: in the storm. You are our peace and the chaos,
- 3:02Speaker 1: and you are our comforter in every season. Today we
- 3:05Speaker 1: rest in your embrace and trust you to heal what hurts,
- 3:09Speaker 1: strengthen us. God, where we are weak, in comfort what
- 3:12Speaker 1: is broken. In Jesus' mighty and compassionate name, we pray, Amen, Amen,
- 3:17Speaker 1: and Amen,
