Figure Is Paying People in 108 Countries to Film Their Own Chores, So Its Robots Can Learn to Do Them
Figure AI came out of stealth on August 25 with Index, an iOS and Android app that pays anyone in 108 countries to record themselves folding laundry, setting a table or emptying the trash. The footage trains Helix, the model behind the Figure 03 humanoid. Figure says it has paid Creators $15 million so far and will spend over $1 billion on data and compute in the next 12 months.
