- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett. Hello, Big
- 0:08Speaker 1: Blue Nation, Welcome to Just the Cats. My name is
- 0:12Speaker 1: Michael Bennett. On this Friday, August seventh, as first week
- 0:18Speaker 1: in August, here we go. And it is weird. I know.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I was teasing yesterday about the kids being back in school,
- 0:25Speaker 1: but man, it is weird seeing that they're in right now.
- 0:28Speaker 1: We would have an entire another month of school. Yeah,
- 0:33Speaker 1: when I was in high school or in school period,
- 0:37Speaker 1: I don't get this. Why are we starting school so
- 0:39Speaker 1: early today? Is it because they get a fall break
- 0:43Speaker 1: a full week which we never got. Is that the reason?
- 0:45Speaker 1: But I mean it's like three weeks. We did not
- 0:48Speaker 1: start school until after the fair.
- 0:50Speaker 2: I don't know about over here in Kentucky, but I
- 0:53Speaker 2: know Indiana. Majority of the schools up in Indiana have
- 0:56Speaker 2: moved to that year round schedule. Get a, you do
- 1:01Speaker 2: get a shorter summer, but you get too I think
- 1:03Speaker 2: two weeks for fall break, two weeks for spring break,
- 1:06Speaker 2: so you get the breaks you do get are longer, okay,
- 1:10Speaker 2: but your summer shorter. Really, but I wouldn't if I
- 1:13Speaker 2: was still in school, I wouldn't want that. Give me
- 1:15Speaker 2: my full Like what ten twelve weeks for summer. Yeah,
- 1:19Speaker 2: I don't want anything less.
- 1:21Speaker 1: See, I kind of go back and forth which way
- 1:24Speaker 1: I would want it would I want it to where
- 1:27Speaker 1: it's all those weeks are breaking up a little. I
- 1:31Speaker 1: might want it to where it's I want it broken up,
- 1:33Speaker 1: so you get started and then you got a couple
- 1:36Speaker 1: of weeks off. I don't know. I know studies have
- 1:39Speaker 1: always shown that it's it's really bad to have the
- 1:43Speaker 1: long summers off because students don't retain as much and
- 1:50Speaker 1: if they have shorter breaks they do well. It makes
- 1:52Speaker 1: it really hard to go back as well. Yeah it does.
- 1:56Speaker 1: But anyway, Uh, you know we were talking about poison
- 2:00Speaker 1: ivy report. Yeah, you just showed me your legs. That
- 2:07Speaker 1: is I mean, I hate to say it. That's just
- 2:11Speaker 1: really bad. Yeah. I don't want to say grow, but
- 2:15Speaker 1: it is bad. Poison ivy is absolutely disgusting and knock
- 2:18Speaker 1: on wood, watch me get it now. I'm gonna get it.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I've never had poison ivy in my life. You're so lucky. Well,
- 2:26Speaker 1: I don't know why. I've worked I've worked out in
- 2:30Speaker 1: woods and I've done all kinds of stuff. My parents
- 2:32Speaker 1: had all kinds of woods in their backyard when I
- 2:35Speaker 1: was growing up. People just don't never hit it. People don't. Hey,
- 2:38Speaker 1: here's the weird part. At one point, I was allergic
- 2:42Speaker 1: to penicillin. Okay, okay, back when I was in my thirties.
- 2:47Speaker 1: You know, I had this didn'tis work done on my
- 2:49Speaker 1: teeth over the past couple of months, and I got
- 2:53Speaker 1: a little infection. Well, she accidentally prescribed me a moxacillin,
- 2:58Speaker 1: which is a former pennacia. And I think she didn't
- 3:01Speaker 1: mean to prescribe this to me because I didn't show.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, mister midding, I'm so sorry. We didn't.
- 3:06Speaker 1: We overlooked that. Don't take it. I'm like, oh, I've
- 3:08Speaker 1: been taking it and it hasn't affected me at all. Wow.
- 3:12Speaker 1: So can you come out of being allergic to something
- 3:15Speaker 1: the older you get? I think?
- 3:17Speaker 3: So?
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, can't you really? Yeah?
- 3:18Speaker 2: I mean I was talking to my dad yesterday. He
- 3:20Speaker 2: said he used to get poison ivy all the time
- 3:22Speaker 2: as a kid. Yeah, and he's in the woods all
- 3:24Speaker 2: the time and he's never getting and he never gets it.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Okay, So maybe maybe they'll come a point in time
- 3:29Speaker 1: that you won't get it again. Yeah, Because I'm just
- 3:32Speaker 1: not going to go in the woods. I mean, you're
- 3:33Speaker 1: scratching your lip right now. You shouldn't be touching anything
- 3:36Speaker 1: else on your body. No, it can't spread anymore. It can't.
- 3:39Speaker 2: No, why not, because what's done is done. The oil
- 3:43Speaker 2: is where the oil is. What's done is done dead. Yeah, sin,
- 3:46Speaker 2: it's down and right. I didn't realize that until this week.
- 3:49Speaker 2: But apparently it can't spread it. I mean it can
- 3:53Speaker 2: move to other parts of my body where the oil
- 3:55Speaker 2: is because of like a late reaction, so it doesn't
- 3:58Speaker 2: all react at the same time. Yeah, but it apparently
- 4:01Speaker 2: cannot spread, and I can't give it to you, like
- 4:04Speaker 2: if I come wrong.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Oh really, you can't come or whatever. You can't get
- 4:09Speaker 1: it at what point? Now? At any any point? Oh? Really?
- 4:13Speaker 1: So once you initially get it, I thought it could spread.
- 4:16Speaker 1: So I have to wash once i've washed. Obviously I've
- 4:19Speaker 1: got this.
- 4:20Speaker 2: I got this on Sunday, so I've obviously washed my
- 4:23Speaker 2: body since then. Yes, But yeah, once you do that
- 4:25Speaker 2: initial wash and you get that oil off your skin,
- 4:28Speaker 2: oh no longer transferable.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, all right? Then, Well, I just I feel
- 4:34Speaker 1: bad for you. I mean I really should. I'm in
- 4:36Speaker 1: a great spot today. Compared to yesterday. I mean, you
- 4:39Speaker 1: you saw me yesterday. I was in a pretty rough headspace.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I was I was down, I was depressed. I was
- 4:45Speaker 1: I told my roommate yesterday, there is nothing in the
- 4:48Speaker 1: world that gets to me mentally more than poison ivy. Really,
- 4:52Speaker 1: nothing poison ivy does because there's it's it's like the
- 4:57Speaker 1: so you're itchy, but it's not really the itchiness that
- 5:00Speaker 1: it gets to me mentally. It's more so the mindset
- 5:02Speaker 1: of I can't do anything about this. I've just got
- 5:05Speaker 1: to let it run its course. And that really frustrates
- 5:08Speaker 1: the hell out of me. So, yeah, poison ivy, when
- 5:10Speaker 1: I get it, I just I get so down to me.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I always happen. There's two things that get to me
- 5:16Speaker 1: that really get me going. If you want to ask,
- 5:19Speaker 1: I hate to say it gets me down, but I
- 5:21Speaker 1: and I think this is true for most of America,
- 5:24Speaker 1: if not the world. It's finances. I think it's money
- 5:29Speaker 1: that gets people down the most. I agree with that.
- 5:31Speaker 1: After that, it's letting things linger.
- 5:34Speaker 2: But at a certain point you've gotta let the money
- 5:37Speaker 2: thing go, do you think so? Yeah, I mean, there's
- 5:39Speaker 2: there's no need harping.
- 5:41Speaker 1: On it constantly. Well, I think it's easier said than done.
- 5:46Speaker 1: The number one thing that gets people down is money.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Number two what gets Michael Bennett down is letting things
- 5:52Speaker 1: hang over his head, not doing things that he should
- 5:55Speaker 1: be doing. So that's why it's always been important for me. Listen,
- 5:58Speaker 1: if I want to get it done, I got to
- 6:00Speaker 1: write it down. And if I don't write it down,
- 6:03Speaker 1: it never gets done. There's a guy that I met
- 6:06Speaker 1: years ago that I thought it was interesting what he did.
- 6:09Speaker 1: He goes. The way he gets things accomplished at his
- 6:12Speaker 1: office is he puts a whole row of pennies on
- 6:15Speaker 1: his desk, and every accomplishment that he gets done for
- 6:20Speaker 1: that day, he takes away a penny and if there's
- 6:23Speaker 1: any pennies left, he know he didn't get He knows
- 6:26Speaker 1: that he didn't get everything done. If there is, if
- 6:29Speaker 1: they're all gone, then he's like, Okay, I had a
- 6:32Speaker 1: good day. I got everything done. That's me. Yeah. I
- 6:34Speaker 1: thought that was kind of interesting because so it's a
- 6:36Speaker 1: visual just like writing down for me. You know, you
- 6:39Speaker 1: got the little task on your if you have an iPhone,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I have that little task thing. I'll use that or
- 6:45Speaker 1: I'll physically write it down on paper and and get
- 6:49Speaker 1: it done. So anyway, I just thought that was that
- 6:52Speaker 1: was interesting. But go ahead.
- 6:54Speaker 2: My boss at the other station, she has to write.
- 6:57Speaker 2: She has a notebook that she writes all of her
- 6:59Speaker 2: tasks yes, and then at the end of the day,
- 7:02Speaker 2: so she'll check them off as she gets them done.
- 7:04Speaker 2: But before she leaves every day, she'll take a picture
- 7:08Speaker 2: of it so she doesn't freak out when she's sitting
- 7:10Speaker 2: at home thinking she forgot something. She just pulls up
- 7:13Speaker 2: that picture and sees, Okay, I got all my stuff done.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Wow, I think that's pretty cool. Okay, I like that.
- 7:19Speaker 1: So does she keep the picture? Does she throw the
- 7:22Speaker 1: picture away? Once she knows she is a mega hoarder?
- 7:25Speaker 1: So oh really, she's I guarantee she's got a thousand
- 7:28Speaker 1: pictures in her phone of just a piece of notebook paper.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Oh wow. Okay, yeah, I'm married to somebody that's a hoarder.
- 7:36Speaker 1: And if she heard me say that, she divorced me
- 7:38Speaker 1: right now, she really would. And thank the Lord, she
- 7:42Speaker 1: is starting to clean out stuff cause I got to
- 7:45Speaker 1: a point after my mom passed away, I didn't want
- 7:49Speaker 1: to throw anything away that my mom would give me clothes,
- 7:52Speaker 1: you name it. What she gave me. I did not
- 7:54Speaker 1: want to get rid of it. I'm to a point now,
- 7:56Speaker 1: I'm okay, but Patricia has gotten to a point where
- 8:01Speaker 1: it's gotten worse and we've got rooms full of stuff
- 8:06Speaker 1: because I watched that what's that show on the History Channel? Oh,
- 8:11Speaker 1: you don't watch the History Channel. They go out and
- 8:15Speaker 1: and buy stuff from people. Oh, you're talking about American pickers.
- 8:20Speaker 1: American pickers, that's it. And it always amazes me the
- 8:24Speaker 1: people that buy buildings to fill it up with nothing
- 8:28Speaker 1: but junk. And it's like, what are you doing? You
- 8:32Speaker 1: don't enjoy any of that? You just keep it in
- 8:35Speaker 1: a empty well, now a very full building. And I
- 8:39Speaker 1: can't I can't imagine crawling all over some creepy old
- 8:43Speaker 1: barn with no lights on finding a snake or a
- 8:46Speaker 1: rat or anything. Possom. I can't think what would be worse.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I think a snake would be the worst to me,
- 8:53Speaker 1: or a spider. And it's just I'm not that interested
- 8:55Speaker 1: in picking stuff.
- 8:57Speaker 2: See that's what you just described as how I feel
- 9:00Speaker 2: about bourbon collectors. Oh really like to me, it's just
- 9:03Speaker 2: that doesn't make sense. Why, Because I mean, you got
- 9:07Speaker 2: guys out there with en gals out there with just
- 9:10Speaker 2: thousands and thousands of bottles of bourbon that they're not
- 9:13Speaker 2: even gonna drink.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Like, why, oh my gosh, you're talking to one right now.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I know.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Everybody in my life is a bourbon collector, and it's
- 9:24Speaker 2: just one thing I will.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I know, I'll never get the money back on what
- 9:28Speaker 1: I've spent. The how many of those bottles are you
- 9:30Speaker 1: never going to open? What percentage of those ninety exactly?
- 9:34Speaker 1: What's the point just because I got one? Well, see,
- 9:38Speaker 1: here's two things. I well, I love to collect different things.
- 9:41Speaker 1: This is where we got a problem. And I've already
- 9:44Speaker 1: told you a couple of them. You know, I like
- 9:46Speaker 1: to collect bourbon. I like to collect rocks, which means nothing.
- 9:51Speaker 1: There's majority of the rocks I have have absolutely zero value.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Like I brought I told you, didn't. I brought a
- 9:57Speaker 1: rock home from red rocks. I told you that, and
- 10:01Speaker 1: it has zero value. But it's from red rocks. It
- 10:03Speaker 1: means something to me. The other thing I love to
- 10:06Speaker 1: collect or derby glasses.
- 10:07Speaker 2: That see, I mean that one makes sense. It does
- 10:10Speaker 2: because there's like yeah, I mean, I don't know, maybe
- 10:15Speaker 2: it doesn't because what are you gonna do with them? Yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 2: you know, well your sons are gonna have to deal
- 10:19Speaker 2: with them when when you want to.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, don't get me wrong. They they
- 10:23Speaker 1: look forward to them, so I have to have two
- 10:25Speaker 1: of each. Okay, yeah, they look forward, especially my oldest son.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Now, the Derby glasses makes more sense because they're they're historical.
- 10:32Speaker 2: They've got a year on them, and i'd say vast
- 10:37Speaker 2: majority of them do.
- 10:38Speaker 1: They're the older. You get the they don't have years
- 10:40Speaker 1: on this. Well, they have the Derby number right. No, no,
- 10:44Speaker 1: there is actually a Derby glass that doesn't have anything
- 10:48Speaker 1: on it. Oh check it out. You don't believe me?
- 10:52Speaker 1: Here we go. I love it when I look something up.
- 10:56Speaker 2: It's not because I don't believe you. It's because i'm
- 10:59Speaker 2: you're about what it entailed.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I think it's like the early nineteen I think it's
- 11:04Speaker 1: nineteen forty. If you go look nineteen, there's a gloss.
- 11:08Speaker 1: It's just called or frosted. It's called frosted, frosted Derby glass,
- 11:13Speaker 1: and it has nothing on it. It's just for frosted glass.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So it's like, dude, how do I know if this
- 11:17Speaker 1: is a real derby glass. It might be just some
- 11:19Speaker 1: frosted glass you bought. So anyway, you have to trust
- 11:22Speaker 1: from the people you buy.
- 11:23Speaker 2: But yeah, wow, I thought they would all have their number.
- 11:25Speaker 1: No, not at all. I don't believe the first one
- 11:29Speaker 1: nineteen thirty eight, nineteen thirty nine has a number on it.
- 11:32Speaker 1: But yeah, and neither does the nineteen forties when it
- 11:36Speaker 1: was wartime, when they had the plastic ones that are
- 11:39Speaker 1: called big light. So yeah, it's like my dad would say,
- 11:44Speaker 1: we would have junk in the garage. It's like, Dad,
- 11:46Speaker 1: why do you have that? It's like, well, you never
- 11:48Speaker 1: know if I'm going to need it again, is her?
- 11:51Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, it's not true. You will literally never
- 11:54Speaker 1: need that. I mean, I'm not a hoard or so
- 11:56Speaker 1: I don't really understand that, I know, but it's okay.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Yeah that I could not watch that show Hoarders because
- 12:03Speaker 1: it just got on my oss. Oh it was terribles,
- 12:06Speaker 1: Oh it really was. I mean, the things that people
- 12:09Speaker 1: would keep and you couldn't walk around, or a kitchen,
- 12:12Speaker 1: it's like, oh my gosh, man, uh, I want a
- 12:15Speaker 1: path in my house of boxes that yes, yes, exactly.
- 12:18Speaker 1: So all right, let's talk about the Hall of Fame
- 12:21Speaker 1: game last night. Did you watch it? Because I will
- 12:23Speaker 1: have to say that was one of the more entertaining
- 12:27Speaker 1: Hall of Fame games I've watched probably ever. Yeah, it
- 12:34Speaker 1: was good. I mean, I'm not kidding. To the last
- 12:37Speaker 1: touchdown with two seconds left and in the Panthers quarterback
- 12:42Speaker 1: what was that? Camp Gill runs for a what a
- 12:45Speaker 1: five six yard touchdown? That was fun? Oh? Was it? Okay? Oh,
- 12:50Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Yeah, I want to talk about camp Pill
- 12:53Speaker 1: as well. Yeah. Yeah, but but I thought that was fun.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I got to give it up for Mike Tomlinson. I
- 13:00Speaker 1: didn't know how I've aught listen I am. I'm a
- 13:03Speaker 1: Bengals fan, so I don't like the huh Mike Tomlin. Yeah, Tomlin,
- 13:07Speaker 1: I said Tomlinson. I'm thinking Mike Tomlinson, the trainer over
- 13:10Speaker 1: at Churchill Downs, Mike Tomlin. I am not a Steelers fan,
- 13:16Speaker 1: but I have always been a Mike Tomlin fan. I
- 13:20Speaker 1: just think he's an upstanding, really good coach coach. Now,
- 13:24Speaker 1: they did say it a little too much last night
- 13:27Speaker 1: that he never had a losing season. It's like, okay,
- 13:30Speaker 1: we get it, he never had We all know he
- 13:32Speaker 1: never had a losing season. The people that are watching
- 13:35Speaker 1: this game know that Mike Tomlin did not have a
- 13:38Speaker 1: losing season. But that's to be commended. But don't repeat
- 13:43Speaker 1: it as many times as they did. But I thought
- 13:46Speaker 1: he did a great job. What did you think? I
- 13:48Speaker 1: didn't think they said it enough to be honest.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, of course not you're a Steelers fan. No, Honestly, though,
- 13:53Speaker 2: I thought he did a tremendous job. I was entertaining
- 13:56Speaker 2: listening to him, and I knew. I knew once he
- 13:59Speaker 2: transitioned to TV role that he'd be really good because
- 14:02Speaker 2: he is just a brilliant He's well spoken. I like
- 14:05Speaker 2: listening to tom when he very obviously has a high
- 14:08Speaker 2: IQ in terms of oh absolutely, so, yeah, he's he's
- 14:12Speaker 2: gonna be great. Yeah.
- 14:13Speaker 3: You know.
- 14:13Speaker 2: The did you see the Luke Keikley and Greg Olsen interview?
- 14:18Speaker 1: I did.
- 14:18Speaker 2: I thought that was very entergy. Was how would you
- 14:21Speaker 2: feel if you were on their middle school and your
- 14:26Speaker 2: coaches are Greg Olsen and Luke Exactly? That's awesome?
- 14:30Speaker 1: And Olsen was talking about, yeah, I'm not happy we
- 14:32Speaker 1: had to skip practice today. It's like, dude, it's middle school.
- 14:36Speaker 1: You think it's that big of a deal. Wow, we
- 14:38Speaker 1: got to practice. It's like, come on, man, I thought
- 14:41Speaker 1: that was great. You you could tell there was a
- 14:44Speaker 1: tremendous love and admiration for each other. And I like that.
- 14:49Speaker 1: And because you know, you look at football players that
- 14:53Speaker 1: have battled in games for many years and then they
- 14:56Speaker 1: end up you find out they're really good friends. That's
- 14:59Speaker 1: why I love the whole Larry Bird Magic Johnson thing.
- 15:03Speaker 1: You know, for years back in the day, and that
- 15:05Speaker 1: was the era of my favorite time of NBA basketball
- 15:09Speaker 1: was Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. And to see them
- 15:13Speaker 1: when they're together and they you can tell there's a
- 15:15Speaker 1: real love for each other, all right. Shaquille O'Neal and
- 15:19Speaker 1: Charles Barkley, same way they hated each other when they
- 15:22Speaker 1: played against each other and when they played in the NBA.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I think you could make the argument they still do. No,
- 15:28Speaker 1: they don't. I think it's a bit of an act now.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I think they really To me, that's a brotherly love
- 15:34Speaker 1: right there. You can argue, but still love each other
- 15:37Speaker 1: at the end of the day. Sure, and I think
- 15:39Speaker 1: that's what they have right there. But I look at
- 15:42Speaker 1: that and I think that's what you have with these
- 15:44Speaker 1: two guys and I enjoyed that interview. I thought it
- 15:47Speaker 1: was a great interview. And congratulations hip for getting into
- 15:51Speaker 1: the Hall of Fame. I mean, good for him. What
- 15:53Speaker 1: do you think? And it was, yeah, good for him.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I don't really have anything to ot there. Okay, well,
- 15:59Speaker 1: thank you very very much. Sorry, we'll check out. Oh okay,
- 16:03Speaker 1: well don't do that right now. We're not going to
- 16:05Speaker 1: break yet. We're getting ready to. I'm not prepared. It's okay.
- 16:10Speaker 1: We got plenty of time. I you know me, I
- 16:13Speaker 1: can keep going on and on and on and on.
- 16:15Speaker 1: All right, Uh, Mike, let's talk about Mike Turiko Chris
- 16:18Speaker 1: collins Worth. They sounded like they were mid season form
- 16:23Speaker 1: right there. Yeah, and it's probably they didn't practice or anything.
- 16:27Speaker 1: They just got on the mic and start going at it.
- 16:29Speaker 1: All right. I'm hard pressed to say they are. Well,
- 16:37Speaker 1: are they the best announcing duo in the NFL? Because
- 16:42Speaker 1: I tend to think they are. I would say yeah,
- 16:47Speaker 1: And I think it's because you know you and I
- 16:49Speaker 1: admitted yesterday our favorite announcer play by play announcer is
- 16:53Speaker 1: Mike to Rico.
- 16:54Speaker 2: But that's my thing, is my favorite is Mike to Rico.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Chris collins where it's not my favorite. Why don't you
- 16:59Speaker 2: like I'm just saying he's not my favorite, So.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Oh, who's your favorite color guy?
- 17:04Speaker 2: But when I average them out, they probably are the best. Yeah,
- 17:09Speaker 2: that's a great question. I mean, I really like Tony Romo,
- 17:13Speaker 2: do you really? I really really do? Yeah, as soon
- 17:16Speaker 2: Troy Yekman I think does a good job. I think
- 17:18Speaker 2: Troy Aming does a really good job. Tony Romo is
- 17:21Speaker 2: not my favorite. When when I hear him talking, I
- 17:24Speaker 2: got to turn him off. I just I'm not a fan.
- 17:27Speaker 2: I love Jim Nance, but Tony Romo I just don't
- 17:30Speaker 2: think has it. And I think that CBS is trying
- 17:33Speaker 2: to get away out of that.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Well.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Tony's only entertaining because he does the whole play call
- 17:38Speaker 2: thing where he tells you exactly what play's coming.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, okay, I just found that entertaining. I just
- 17:44Speaker 1: think Chris Collinsworth is far better. And I know he
- 17:47Speaker 1: played for Florida and I know he beat UK that
- 17:49Speaker 1: night I was there at Commonwealth Stadium. But I don't know.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Chris collins Worth. I just think does a better job.
- 17:56Speaker 1: And I've always he's a he's a former Bengal and
- 17:58Speaker 1: he lives in northern Kentucky. So anyway, yeah, oh yeah,
- 18:03Speaker 1: he's a lawyer. His father in law is a lawyer,
- 18:06Speaker 1: his wife is a lawyer. Former cheerleader at UK and
- 18:10Speaker 1: Holly Bay band camp, and then he's a lawyer as well.
- 18:14Speaker 1: So anyway, I'm just right there. I guess I like him.
- 18:20Speaker 1: The part that amazed me is that, Mike Turrico, there's
- 18:24Speaker 1: players out there that have never played in the NFL,
- 18:27Speaker 1: most likeable to never see the light of day on
- 18:29Speaker 1: an NFL field. Yeah, Mike Turrico knew every one of
- 18:32Speaker 1: the players. That to me is amazing. I mean, that's
- 18:35Speaker 1: your job as a broadcast. Yeah, but I mean, come on,
- 18:38Speaker 1: he doesn't know all of them. He's got a cheat sheet.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I understand he has a cheat sheet, but he certainly
- 18:46Speaker 1: acts like he knows everyone of them. I clearly he
- 18:48Speaker 1: doesn't know all of them, But the way he does
- 18:51Speaker 1: his announcing, acting like he does, acting like these players
- 18:54Speaker 1: have been out there for years. I just think I'm
- 18:57Speaker 1: impressed by Carson Beck. I thought he looked good. He
- 19:02Speaker 1: did what was the fifteen for nineteen and eighty eight
- 19:07Speaker 1: yards anatutty exactly? I listen, will he be starting before
- 19:13Speaker 1: the season ends.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I don't think so. You don't think so because they didn't.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I think they just gave Brissette a new deal.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Oh they did. Okay, so I don't think he will.
- 19:20Speaker 1: But granted I wouldn't be surprised. Granted that wasn't the
- 19:23Speaker 1: team that he would the defense that he would be
- 19:26Speaker 1: playing against. That, but he still looked good. Yeah he did.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Both rookies looked good. Haines King looked good too. Haines King,
- 19:33Speaker 1: especially since he scored that last touchdown. That was awesome.
- 19:36Speaker 2: It reminded me, I said on my show this morning,
- 19:38Speaker 2: reminded me of the Mendoza National Championship run. Oh really,
- 19:43Speaker 2: he didn't take the hit at the end or the
- 19:45Speaker 2: didn't have to do the spin move that Fernando did,
- 19:47Speaker 2: but it.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Reminded me a lot of it. Yeah. Well, the part
- 19:51Speaker 1: I enjoyed the most, I will say, is Cam Gill playing. Yeah,
- 19:56Speaker 1: that was cool. If you don't know who Cam Gill is,
- 19:59Speaker 1: he was the defensive edge player that played for the
- 20:02Speaker 1: Louisville Kings and here he is playing for the Carolina Panthers.
- 20:07Speaker 1: That's really cool. I was excited for him. Did they
- 20:10Speaker 1: touch on that at all? That he was. I don't
- 20:12Speaker 1: pay for the Kings. I don't. If they did, I
- 20:14Speaker 1: don't remember at all. No, I don't neither. So if
- 20:17Speaker 1: they did, they should have because I think that's beneficial.
- 20:21Speaker 1: There's no direct correlation or connection between the UFL and
- 20:25Speaker 1: the NFL, right, but clearly there is a path.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Yeah, not officially, but US or UFF Yeah.
- 20:33Speaker 1: NFL they want to be the minor league at the NFL. Basically,
- 20:37Speaker 1: I think now that you got was it five players
- 20:40Speaker 1: that went from the UFL teams this year into the NFL.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I hope I thought Louisville or last night I thought
- 20:48Speaker 2: Louisville had like three alone.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I was thinking, No, I meant for the game last night.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Oh I don't. I didn't see that. Uh, but uh, listen,
- 20:58Speaker 1: if there's not a path right now, to me, it
- 21:00Speaker 1: proves that there is a path, and they should. It
- 21:03Speaker 1: would be nice if they went ahead and just said, okay,
- 21:05Speaker 1: let's let's let's have some fort of connection here. I
- 21:08Speaker 1: would like that. So anyway, all right, we gotta take
- 21:10Speaker 1: our first break. When we come back, we're gonna talk
- 21:13Speaker 1: about something Justin doesn't want to talk about. Well, we're
- 21:15Speaker 1: gonna talk about it because it might be the most
- 21:18Speaker 1: ridiculous thing effort I want to talk about it.
- 21:20Speaker 2: You're idiot worked up again. I needed a segment to
- 21:23Speaker 2: cool down. Oh you did Okay, you allowed that. Yeah, okay,
- 21:26Speaker 2: I allowed it. Now you're settled down. Now you can
- 21:29Speaker 2: get worked up all over again and take another segment
- 21:32Speaker 2: with a break. Plus, let's do we got to talk
- 21:34Speaker 2: about this traffic guy up in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Wait, do you hear this story. It's the craziest thing,
- 21:39Speaker 1: and you gotta go watch the video too. So stay
- 21:41Speaker 1: right there. We got a lot more adjust the cats
- 21:43Speaker 1: on this Friday.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Time of my hand way, I said, time of my son,
- 22:17Speaker 3: mm hmmm.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Mm hmmm hm. Took good times, row to knock you
- 22:26Speaker 1: a round, m hm hm, took good times.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Row let the macum a clown mm hmmmm. The ends
- 22:47Speaker 3: rocking roll.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Good time, so good times. That was really crazy right there.
- 22:58Speaker 1: When that song first started, it sounded like you had
- 23:01Speaker 1: done it, Like you know how people will get on
- 23:04Speaker 1: social media and isolate singers voices. That's all I could
- 23:07Speaker 1: hear was Rick Okasick singing that song Let the good
- 23:11Speaker 1: Times roll. Literally in my headphones, it was Rick Okacik,
- 23:16Speaker 1: isolated the singer. Wait, is that not who sings this? Yeah,
- 23:21Speaker 1: that's the cars. So you weren't getting the music. I
- 23:24Speaker 1: wasn't getting the music. I was getting isolated vocals. Interesting.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Is that wild or what? I'd love to know if
- 23:31Speaker 1: that went over the air or not.
- 23:33Speaker 2: I mean, I I show on my podcast that, yeah,
- 23:36Speaker 2: all that the music was picking up.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I wish you could play that again. Come over here,
- 23:42Speaker 1: and I heard it in my ears? Did you really
- 23:44Speaker 1: that is wild? I thought, oh man, you you're playing
- 23:48Speaker 1: some isolated vocal song. That was wild. Okay, well, I'm
- 23:52Speaker 1: sorry about that. If y'all didn't get that, but uh
- 23:54Speaker 1: I certainly did. Maybe I'm vegging out and it's yeah,
- 23:58Speaker 1: it's a good thing. I'm going to see the doctrine.
- 23:59Speaker 1: I'm getting my first physical today ever. No, not ever
- 24:04Speaker 1: in the past year. So I'm going today get a physical.
- 24:07Speaker 1: I'm not allowed to eat anything. I'm starving. I want
- 24:10Speaker 1: to make sure I could at least drink water because
- 24:13Speaker 1: there because they they forewarned me when I made the appointment. Now, mispent,
- 24:16Speaker 1: remember you're gonna get a lot of blood taken from you. Like, ah, great,
- 24:20Speaker 1: So can you drink water? Yeah? I can drink water.
- 24:22Speaker 1: So I'm sitting over here drinking some water right now
- 24:25Speaker 1: because I don't want to get dehydrated. My veins are
- 24:27Speaker 1: so small in my arms that they sometimes you've heard
- 24:30Speaker 1: me talk about that. I've literally yelled at the person
- 24:33Speaker 1: trying to get the blood from me. So anyway, Uh,
- 24:37Speaker 1: I can't find any videos. I see a lot of
- 24:39Speaker 1: videos of people going down the steps, lining up and
- 24:44Speaker 1: going to Reparina for the open practice yesterday. Uh. And
- 24:49Speaker 1: what's which I appreciate, you know, Uh JD. Shelburn kind
- 24:53Speaker 1: of broke the news to us. So we broke it
- 24:55Speaker 1: on the air. And You're like, because I didn't know
- 24:57Speaker 1: what he was talking about. All he says, get your
- 24:58Speaker 1: ass to rop. It's like, dude, I'm on the radio. No,
- 25:03Speaker 1: he's in Nashville. You're not kidding.
- 25:05Speaker 2: That's well, well, that's why I was so confused yesterday too.
- 25:08Speaker 2: He acted like he was going.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Yes, he acted like he was there, but no, I
- 25:14Speaker 1: I just don't see anything where. I mean, I see
- 25:17Speaker 1: a few people. They do have a curtain off at
- 25:20Speaker 1: the end zone at one end zone, but no, I
- 25:24Speaker 1: just don't see anything where. It's a bunch of people there,
- 25:27Speaker 1: But listen. I Mark Pope needs to do more of this.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I thought it was a fantastic idea. You told me
- 25:37Speaker 1: on crosstalk on scoots On's sun Rise with Scoots that
- 25:42Speaker 1: Mike Rutherford was jealous of this. I Mark Pope needs
- 25:46Speaker 1: to do more of this because you know, last year,
- 25:51Speaker 1: Mark Pope may be said a little too much bragging
- 25:54Speaker 1: about this team, and I think he kind of realized
- 25:58Speaker 1: maybe that's not the best thing to do. So what
- 26:01Speaker 1: is he doing now? He's letting the team do the
- 26:04Speaker 1: talking for him. And because more people came out of
- 26:08Speaker 1: that and said, Okay, this team might be pretty good.
- 26:15Speaker 1: One of the big two things that came out of it.
- 26:18Speaker 1: One Mom Chilovich was hitting shots and not missing. Now
- 26:23Speaker 1: I missed a couple, but every shot he put up unacceptable.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Oh I know it, but every shot he put up.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Mason Williams was the other talk saying that listen, as
- 26:36Speaker 1: a freshman, kid's going to get minutes because he looked
- 26:41Speaker 1: really good out there. And then Zoom Diallo clearly is
- 26:45Speaker 1: the leader because he was the most vocal. Now, he
- 26:48Speaker 1: made some turnovers, but you're going to do that as
- 26:50Speaker 1: a point guard. Absolutely, but he was the most vocal.
- 26:54Speaker 1: He is the clear leader on this team. But what
- 27:00Speaker 1: Mark Pope did yesterday, it's not anything new, but for
- 27:03Speaker 1: Kentucky it is new. And you know, we just we
- 27:07Speaker 1: have a different kind of fan base. But you, I mean,
- 27:09Speaker 1: I really thought that you brought up a good point.
- 27:11Speaker 1: There is last year he did he almost did come
- 27:14Speaker 1: out and say to the fan base, hey, here's what
- 27:17Speaker 1: you should expect with this team. And I didn't just
- 27:20Speaker 1: or I didn't agree with it at the time. I mean,
- 27:22Speaker 1: we broke it down some of the crazy statements he
- 27:25Speaker 1: had last summer. But you're right.
- 27:26Speaker 2: I mean, opening the practice like that will allow fans
- 27:30Speaker 2: to get in the building and allows them to formulate
- 27:33Speaker 2: their own opinions about this team. You don't want to
- 27:35Speaker 2: be told from the head coach what to expect from
- 27:38Speaker 2: this team. You want to get your eyes on the
- 27:40Speaker 2: team and make your own opinions. And that that's what
- 27:42Speaker 2: the advantage was to yesterday.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Well, you tend to believe what the fans are saying then,
- 27:47Speaker 1: because they're not going to sit down here and say, ah,
- 27:50Speaker 1: this team's not very good. They're going to talk about
- 27:53Speaker 1: this was exciting trend. Noah shot eight for ten from three. Yeah,
- 27:58Speaker 1: did he really? Oh okay, that's what Pope would have
- 28:00Speaker 1: told us. Yeah, exactly, Well, he would have said twenty
- 28:03Speaker 1: one for twenty two and h and he shot it
- 28:05Speaker 1: from over the half court side. It's just like, I
- 28:08Speaker 1: love Mark Pope. I want him to be the coach,
- 28:10Speaker 1: but he tends to exaggerate just to touch. Okay, I'm
- 28:13Speaker 1: not gonna call it a lot. I mean, my dad
- 28:16Speaker 1: loved to exaggerate in a fun way. I mean, you
- 28:19Speaker 1: knew he was exaggerating. You exaggerate, I exaggerate. Yeah, when
- 28:23Speaker 1: do I exaggerate? I mean I'm not going to bring
- 28:25Speaker 1: up specific examples, but I want to know this specific example.
- 28:29Speaker 1: What I'll point it out next time? Oh you will, okay,
- 28:31Speaker 1: but yeah, I do. I love exaggerating. Everybody exaggerate. Everybody does,
- 28:37Speaker 1: especially fishermen and golfers. Okay, I caught a fish that
- 28:41Speaker 1: was this big. It's like, no, it was this big.
- 28:43Speaker 1: But uh, anyway, I want Mark Pope to do more
- 28:47Speaker 1: of this. And I think that he realized yesterday, hey
- 28:51Speaker 1: man kind of hit a home run here, and he did.
- 28:54Speaker 1: He definitely hit a home run yesterday, allowing the players,
- 28:58Speaker 1: I mean allowing the fans to come there and watch. Now.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Do you like that he did it just an hour
- 29:05Speaker 1: before the practice was going to be open, or do
- 29:07Speaker 1: you think he should have allowed people to plan a
- 29:10Speaker 1: little and maybe announce this the day before. No.
- 29:13Speaker 2: I think the way he did it was perfect because
- 29:16Speaker 2: it may have been planned days in advance, but just
- 29:21Speaker 2: doing it that close to practice time made it feel
- 29:24Speaker 2: genuine to me. Yeah, Like it made it feel like
- 29:27Speaker 2: this was an idea that he just thought of just
- 29:31Speaker 2: moments ago, even if it had been already a couple
- 29:34Speaker 2: days in the works, But just it made it feel genuine.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I liked him doing it like that. Yeah, And it
- 29:39Speaker 2: makes it it makes it more of an exclusive thing.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Absolutely. All right, let's get to the whiskey thief
- 29:45Speaker 1: text line five O two four one four fourteen fifty one.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Person said, I don't care what your science says. I
- 29:55Speaker 1: love the start of this already. I believe everyone eventually
- 29:59Speaker 1: becomes toast intolerant sometime in their adulthood. Who here came
- 30:04Speaker 1: down a glass of creamy cow water without getting the
- 30:08Speaker 1: bubble guts? But I still do from time to time,
- 30:11Speaker 1: especially the chocolate variety.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I mean I smashed milk at least once a week,
- 30:18Speaker 2: do you really? Yeah, I love it, especially if I'm
- 30:20Speaker 2: eating something sweet. That's just I have milk with it.
- 30:23Speaker 2: That sounds disgusting to me. The thought of drinking milk.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Judge me all you want. No, No, I'm not judging you,
- 30:30Speaker 1: just I'm judging me. I just can't do it. Oh
- 30:34Speaker 1: my gosh. I mean I still go back to Anchorman
- 30:38Speaker 1: and milk was a bad choice. It was milk was
- 30:41Speaker 1: a definite bad choice. Don't drink it when it's one
- 30:44Speaker 1: hundred and ten degrees outside. I seen. I don't even
- 30:46Speaker 1: like the chocolate. And then the straw straw Oh, you're
- 30:50Speaker 1: exactly right. No, no, no, don't like it. You don't
- 30:54Speaker 1: like chocolate milk. I don't. I'm not a big chocolate
- 30:57Speaker 1: guy to you this, Michael, that's on Americans. Sorry. And
- 31:00Speaker 1: then they came out with it. Do they still have
- 31:02Speaker 1: strawberry milk? Strawberry milk was always like a ah for me. Yeah,
- 31:06Speaker 1: so I don't know. I don't. It's not something I
- 31:08Speaker 1: look for. Yeah, I do like, Uh, what is it
- 31:11Speaker 1: they do at the Wimbledon? They have the strawberries and cream?
- 31:14Speaker 1: I do like that. My mom used to give me
- 31:16Speaker 1: for a dessert. She would cut up fresh strawberries, put
- 31:20Speaker 1: it in some milk, and then add sugar to it.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Oh.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I did like that. So that's kind of like strawberry milk,
- 31:27Speaker 1: I guess, except it had real strawberries in it. It's
- 31:29Speaker 1: you're healthy. Oh wasn't it great? Yeah? Well, my mom's
- 31:33Speaker 1: a Southerner. She I mean everything had sugar, either sugar, salt,
- 31:36Speaker 1: or butter in it. That that defines Southern, right, that's
- 31:39Speaker 1: why your well, I don't start the whole butt of Bennett. Okay,
- 31:44Speaker 1: that's not going anywhere. It's not okay. Can My brother
- 31:46Speaker 1: talks to me about you. He calls you that every time. Uh?
- 31:50Speaker 1: Oh good, I appreciate you explaining this, Uh Texter Michael.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Yesterday my Jared cricket reference was to a four year
- 31:58Speaker 1: Oh okay, I'm so sorry a four year player. I
- 32:01Speaker 1: just want to see one transfer in an extra if
- 32:04Speaker 1: a coach is fired or leaves. College sports simply should
- 32:08Speaker 1: not involve lawyers. College sports should not involve agents either,
- 32:13Speaker 1: But it is, And unfortunately, I think lawyers and agents
- 32:17Speaker 1: are here to stay in college sports. But yes, I
- 32:23Speaker 1: will we ever see a four year player again. The
- 32:26Speaker 1: Jared Prickett. Thank you for explaining it, because I honestly
- 32:29Speaker 1: did not get it. But I think so. I don't
- 32:33Speaker 1: think the four year played now if John Calperer was
- 32:36Speaker 1: still the coach here. No, but that's not a knock
- 32:39Speaker 1: on cal I promise it's not a knock. He just
- 32:42Speaker 1: recruited in a completely different way. I think we'll see some.
- 32:45Speaker 1: I mean, they're just few and far between today.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Unfortunately, hasn't Thomas Hawk played it Florida all four years?
- 32:52Speaker 1: Has he? Really? I didn't realize that. I think you're right,
- 32:56Speaker 1: good call, right there. Let me get to one more
- 32:59Speaker 1: before we go to break. Let's see here, morning fellas.
- 33:05Speaker 1: This is from Josh. My wife has a milestone birthday tomorrow.
- 33:11Speaker 1: She's been a JCPS teacher for seventeen years. Congratulations, that's
- 33:16Speaker 1: dedication right there. So this is her yearly present of
- 33:20Speaker 1: going back to school, the joy of teaching middle schoolers.
- 33:23Speaker 1: That being said, Michael, what did you do for Patricia's
- 33:27Speaker 1: milestone birthdays? Oh? Probably forgot him? If that is not
- 33:31Speaker 1: true at all, Come on, geez man, Well I did
- 33:37Speaker 1: give her, I mean milestone birthdays for her thirtieth. I
- 33:42Speaker 1: gave her a surprise birthday party. For her fiftieth, I
- 33:46Speaker 1: gave her another surprise birthday party, and then for her sixtieth,
- 33:50Speaker 1: I gave her a ring that she's wanted for years,
- 33:53Speaker 1: which was a what do you call the Greenstone Emerald? Yeah,
- 33:58Speaker 1: I bought her an emerald. So I just, yes, I listen.
- 34:04Speaker 1: There's one thing that old Michael Bennett doesn't forget. That's birthdays.
- 34:09Speaker 1: I don't forget birthdays and anniversaries. Now I'm not exaggerating here,
- 34:15Speaker 1: smart eleic okay made the curse of poison IVY hit
- 34:19Speaker 1: you this weekend. But I just listen. Well, because you know,
- 34:26Speaker 1: the anniversary and birthday of my boys is easy to remember.
- 34:29Speaker 1: It's all on one day, so that's easier. So I
- 34:33Speaker 1: only have two birthdays to remember. Are two dates to remember,
- 34:39Speaker 1: and then my wife's birthday December thirteenth. That's it and
- 34:44Speaker 1: I'm good to go. So I just I don't know.
- 34:47Speaker 1: I just I made sure the other thing I would do,
- 34:49Speaker 1: especially on those days, make sure she doesn't cook, make
- 34:53Speaker 1: sure she doesn't have a single thing to do, clean
- 34:56Speaker 1: the whole house. I don't do that part. So wait,
- 35:00Speaker 1: your birthday is in two months, on a day yours
- 35:02Speaker 1: is coming up. Huh okay, I thought you I thought
- 35:06Speaker 1: you were questioning that.
- 35:07Speaker 2: I said, yours, it's two months in one day, mine's
- 35:10Speaker 2: two months, and.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Hey, wow it is. I didn't realize that we're getting old. Yeah,
- 35:15Speaker 1: and it's not stopping. I'm the older. I get. It's
- 35:17Speaker 1: kind of bothering me now the inevitable's coming. Yeah, it's
- 35:21Speaker 1: kind of bothering me now. Yeah, I think. So it's like, okay,
- 35:26Speaker 1: I am officially Jerry Bennett my dad because Michael, you
- 35:31Speaker 1: just enjoy every day, son, because one day you're not
- 35:33Speaker 1: gonna be able to enjoy it. So it is true.
- 35:36Speaker 1: The older I get. It's like when I was back
- 35:38Speaker 1: in my twenties and thirties are teenage years, it was
- 35:41Speaker 1: just like it it's another day, let's keep going. So
- 35:43Speaker 1: and now it's like, nope, slow down, buddy, slow down.
- 35:46Speaker 1: At what age?
- 35:47Speaker 2: Let me ask you this, right, at what age do
- 35:50Speaker 2: you did you feel like you were the healthiest and
- 35:52Speaker 2: and just the most confident where you felt the best
- 35:55Speaker 2: in your life?
- 35:57Speaker 1: I would say in my uh go, between my thirties
- 36:01Speaker 1: and forties. It wasn't a particular date. In my thirties
- 36:04Speaker 1: and forties, I was And then when I got to
- 36:06Speaker 1: be fifty, it didn't matter anymore.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Cause I heard a stat yesterday that on average, most
- 36:13Speaker 2: Americans feel the healthiest, the most confident, like the best
- 36:16Speaker 2: of the best of their life at forty seven.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Forty seven really, huh okay, I would say, my confidence
- 36:24Speaker 1: is still here. It's just it's it's here in a
- 36:27Speaker 1: different way. Sure, in my thirties and forties, I was pretty.
- 36:32Speaker 1: I had a little bit of an ego because I'd
- 36:35Speaker 1: done well in business, I'd done well in life. And anymore,
- 36:39Speaker 1: I don't care. I don't The financial part does bother
- 36:42Speaker 1: me because I want to be it's but it's changed,
- 36:45Speaker 1: it's evolved. So my concerns when I was younger is
- 36:49Speaker 1: I got to get there. I get to get there,
- 36:51Speaker 1: I get to be like my dad successful. And now
- 36:53Speaker 1: today it's like, Okay, I want to make sure my
- 36:56Speaker 1: boys are okay. I want to make sure their kids
- 36:58Speaker 1: are okay. That's where I am, and that's the way
- 37:01Speaker 1: my dad was. My mom was very much. She didn't
- 37:03Speaker 1: care about money. She never had any when she was
- 37:06Speaker 1: a kid, and uh so, uh just I grew up
- 37:10Speaker 1: in a household. I had nice stuff, but it wasn't
- 37:13Speaker 1: the end all that just didn't matter. So and I
- 37:17Speaker 1: was taught to share it with everyone, so church, people
- 37:20Speaker 1: that need it and all that kind of stuff. So anyway,
- 37:22Speaker 1: let's not get off on the tangent like that, but
- 37:24Speaker 1: let's take break. What's that? You started it? Did I
- 37:27Speaker 1: start it? Okay? Sorry about that? Well you started talking? No,
- 37:30Speaker 1: you asked me the question at what age forty seven?
- 37:33Speaker 1: Don't hand it. I didn't know your brain was gonna
- 37:34Speaker 1: go that direction. I didn't either. I mean, my gush
- 37:37Speaker 1: were getting deep today. I want this to be a fun,
- 37:40Speaker 1: half hearted show. Okay, five two, four, one, four, fourteen
- 37:43Speaker 1: fifty keeps sending me those texts right there? We got
- 37:46Speaker 1: what we I promise we got stuff to talk about
- 37:48Speaker 1: that sports related? Ah wait till you talk about the
- 37:52Speaker 1: new Boston coach what he did. Plus we are going
- 37:55Speaker 1: to talk about produce day right there? More just the
- 37:57Speaker 1: cats coming right out? What that look? I didn't do
- 38:22Speaker 1: it five years ago. I had no idea i'd be here.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Who are you anyway? What do you take me for?
- 38:30Speaker 1: I must be dreaming? Sorry? Sorry, what are we listening to?
- 38:42Speaker 1: It's the song? Oh my gosh, man, Well, why don't
- 38:45Speaker 1: you find it? Where it plays most most of the time,
- 38:49Speaker 1: songs usually just start on YouTube. We don't have to
- 38:51Speaker 1: listen to a minute monologue. Geez, oh, well how much
- 38:56Speaker 1: for listening exactly? Thanks a lot. That's the only thing
- 39:00Speaker 1: I wanted to listen to today.
- 39:02Speaker 2: Now you're giving me the bird because we have dead
- 39:04Speaker 2: air and yours are there laughing your ass?
- 39:07Speaker 1: Was that my fault? Funny to you? It is funny
- 39:10Speaker 1: to me. I hate to tell you. It might be
- 39:13Speaker 1: a permanent game with me, okay, just to see how
- 39:16Speaker 1: long I can keep you over here?
- 39:18Speaker 2: You do you extend it? You keep asking questions on purpose.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Well, you come over here, and don't get me wrong,
- 39:26Speaker 1: I love it when you leave your studio and come
- 39:28Speaker 1: over here. It's so no, don't do that now. So,
- 39:32Speaker 1: for those of you that don't know what we're talking about,
- 39:34Speaker 1: we are in literally two different rooms separated by a wall,
- 39:39Speaker 1: so we can't see each other except for looking at
- 39:42Speaker 1: each other. Well, you can't see me unless you look
- 39:44Speaker 1: on the YouTube screen. But I can see you through
- 39:47Speaker 1: my computer monitor right here. And so so usually Justin
- 39:53Speaker 1: leaves the studio, comes over here his studio and comes
- 39:56Speaker 1: over to my studio and talks to me and we have.
- 39:59Speaker 1: We I have just as much fun conversations during the
- 40:02Speaker 1: break as we do on the air. I tend to
- 40:05Speaker 1: think that sometimes not radio safe all the time. Well yeah,
- 40:08Speaker 1: probably not so not by Michael Bennett. Let's just say that,
- 40:12Speaker 1: make that perfectly clear. But and then we get going. Now,
- 40:18Speaker 1: there's been a few times it's been completely innocent. We
- 40:21Speaker 1: get to talking and you forget we got to go
- 40:23Speaker 1: back on air. But there are those times that I
- 40:26Speaker 1: like to push it a little longer, just to see
- 40:29Speaker 1: if you'll forget. You know what dead air does waste time? Now?
- 40:33Speaker 1: It has people turn the radio. Oh is that what
- 40:35Speaker 1: it is? That's why we have to avoid dead Okay,
- 40:38Speaker 1: ProAb we can't do that. We'll avoid it. But it
- 40:41Speaker 1: still makes me laugh. Michelle texted out, Michael, my hobby
- 40:45Speaker 1: was allergic to penicilla, and he got tested again and
- 40:47Speaker 1: he's no longer allergic to it. Hey, O see I
- 40:50Speaker 1: like that then, so I firmly believe I'm not allergic
- 40:55Speaker 1: to it either. In my head, I was thinking, okay,
- 40:59Speaker 1: I'm starting to feel a little itchy because I had
- 41:01Speaker 1: to go when when it happened, I had to go
- 41:04Speaker 1: to the hospital. My wife took me to the hospital
- 41:06Speaker 1: and I had a rash all over. Uh and uh
- 41:09Speaker 1: they had to give me, uh a shot of bend
- 41:13Speaker 1: a dilling. What be Uh isn't it been a drilling
- 41:17Speaker 1: ben a drill, ben a drill. Yeah, well, penicila, it
- 41:20Speaker 1: just made up of medicine. Well, I mean it's a
- 41:23Speaker 1: combination of penicillin and ben a drilling. So it's been
- 41:26Speaker 1: been the drill. It's been a drilling. But uh. Anyway,
- 41:32Speaker 1: and and uh, but but I think I think that's great, Michelle,
- 41:36Speaker 1: Thank you for letting me know. I think I'm cured.
- 41:38Speaker 1: I'm no longer allergic to penicillin, because that would be
- 41:41Speaker 1: always the first question every doctor would ask me, is that, uh, sir,
- 41:46Speaker 1: of your allergic? Ay, oh yeah, you are penicillin. It's like, yeah,
- 41:49Speaker 1: I'm alergic penicillin, but I don't think I am anymore
- 41:52Speaker 1: so because I took that entire bottle and I had
- 41:56Speaker 1: no reaction. So that would mean I'm not allergic, wouldn't it.
- 41:58Speaker 1: I would say so I think I am. So. By
- 42:00Speaker 1: the way, Uh, if you want to join us on YouTube,
- 42:02Speaker 1: you can do that. Look up uh big X Sports
- 42:05Speaker 1: Radio Louisville and you'll be able to see uh, my
- 42:08Speaker 1: big ugly face and as well as Justin's really good
- 42:11Speaker 1: looking face. Uh uh, well forty eight handily trying No,
- 42:15Speaker 1: I am not trying to suck up to you. Are
- 42:17Speaker 1: you kidding? Chris collins Horse? This is from forty eight
- 42:20Speaker 1: handily Chris Collinsworth raised a thoroughbred at Turfoy Park? Is
- 42:25Speaker 1: that true? I have no idea good for him? I
- 42:31Speaker 1: wonder if it won we I can look it up
- 42:33Speaker 1: during break and see. Uh. Look you look on Equabase,
- 42:36Speaker 1: you look up owners and look up Chris Collinsworth. If
- 42:40Speaker 1: you look up EQUI base. Are you going to look
- 42:41Speaker 1: that up? Okay? Cool? Yeah, EQUA base E q U
- 42:45Speaker 1: I B A S E dot com. And then you
- 42:48Speaker 1: can see up there at the top left hand corner.
- 42:50Speaker 1: You can push those lines and it'll say, uh, perform
- 42:54Speaker 1: a search or something like that profile search and you
- 42:57Speaker 1: can look up uh, look up that. So John here,
- 43:02Speaker 1: they gave Jacoby Brissett I believe just a one year deal,
- 43:06Speaker 1: so the Cardinals are not that in on him. That's
- 43:10Speaker 1: good point, John. It is a fifteen and a half
- 43:12Speaker 1: million contract, but it does not mean that Carson will
- 43:15Speaker 1: not start at all this season. Carson Beck just looks
- 43:18Speaker 1: like a guy that should be starting the NFL. He
- 43:21Speaker 1: has an NFL name. Plus, oh, that's the reason you
- 43:24Speaker 1: start to guy so but SODA's Levis. But he shouldn't
- 43:29Speaker 1: be starting. He has an NFL name, plus all those
- 43:32Speaker 1: years playing in the SEC got him ready. It just
- 43:35Speaker 1: means more. He is no Patrick Mahomes, but he is
- 43:38Speaker 1: good and he will see that, I believe throughout his career.
- 43:43Speaker 1: So there you go. I don't believe in Carson Beck
- 43:45Speaker 1: like that. I probably don't either yet, especially knowing he
- 43:51Speaker 1: looked good last night. But come on, this is number one,
- 43:53Speaker 1: it's an exhibition game. Number two, he wasn't seeing the
- 43:56Speaker 1: full strength of a starting defense in the end. That's
- 44:01Speaker 1: the biggest difference right there. But if you gradually bring
- 44:05Speaker 1: him in and he gradually improves, he will be a
- 44:09Speaker 1: start for the end of the year. I really think so.
- 44:12Speaker 1: I think they're gonna be all in on him.
- 44:14Speaker 2: By the way, I was watching Quarterback yesterday on Netflix.
- 44:16Speaker 2: I don't know if you've gotten into that.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I have not.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Okay, so this season it's Baker Mayfield, so you should
- 44:22Speaker 2: really watch it.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Jade and Daniels. It makes me not want to watch it.
- 44:26Speaker 2: I can't remember who the other two are, but Jadon
- 44:28Speaker 2: Daniels was injured last year when they had to play
- 44:30Speaker 2: the Chiefs. Right, and the way he's just sitting on
- 44:33Speaker 2: the sideline and he was geeked out to watch Mahomes
- 44:36Speaker 2: live in person, but he's sitting on the bench the
- 44:38Speaker 2: whole time. Like this guy's good. Oh really, this guy's
- 44:42Speaker 2: were really really good. Just the way he was enamored
- 44:45Speaker 2: with Mahomes I thought was really cool.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Yeah. One person texted in said not allowed to hate
- 44:50Speaker 1: on chocolate milk. I didn't hate on chocolate milk. You
- 44:52Speaker 1: hate it. I did not stop saying that. All I
- 44:56Speaker 1: said is I don't really care for it. I'm with you, Texter.
- 44:58Speaker 1: It's Unama gosh, man, that's not what he said. He
- 45:02Speaker 1: is not allowed to hate it on chocolate milk. I
- 45:04Speaker 1: never hated on chocolate milk. All I said is Michael
- 45:07Speaker 1: Bennett does not care for chocolate milk. I don't care
- 45:10Speaker 1: for milk. Doesn't matter what kind of milk it is. Now,
- 45:13Speaker 1: if it's ice cream, I'm all in. But not chocolate.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Not chocolate. No, not chocolate. I'm not a big chocolate guy.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Just not. Why is that hard to believe because chocolate's incredible. Okay,
- 45:24Speaker 1: all right, then have you ever watched the videos of
- 45:27Speaker 1: people actually making chocolate? No, it's pretty cool, is it? Yeah?
- 45:31Speaker 1: It's pretty You can look it up and how they
- 45:33Speaker 1: harvest it and then go make real chocolate from it.
- 45:36Speaker 1: I'm I was fascinated. It's like, Okay, I want to
- 45:38Speaker 1: try that one day. I think it'd be a complete
- 45:40Speaker 1: waste of time. Thank you, mister Illinois for miss spelling
- 45:44Speaker 1: my name. M I ch A E L. Don't put
- 45:48Speaker 1: your Michael. Don't put your crimes out on the radio.
- 45:51Speaker 1: It's what do you mean crimes? It's prohibited to take
- 45:56Speaker 1: rocks on protected land. Also, Scoots is a hoosier. You
- 46:00Speaker 1: can't expect him to appreciate the final things in life.
- 46:02Speaker 1: He's probably nurses a bottle of three full Floyd's every night.
- 46:07Speaker 1: But I'm not hating hell? Does that mean? Illinois? Text?
- 46:11Speaker 1: So we got beef. This is two days in a row,
- 46:15Speaker 1: and now we gotta take a break. Hour two coming
- 46:18Speaker 1: right up, we'll get back to the hate. Mister Illinois,
- 46:20Speaker 1: send me another text. I'll read it to him straight
- 46:22Speaker 1: to him. Stay right there, one more hour, just the cats.
- 46:25Speaker 1: Right after this welcome to Just the Cats with Michael
- 46:48Speaker 1: Bennett Fablo two three four fourteen fifty. If you want
- 46:55Speaker 1: to call Fablo two four one four fourteen fifty, want
- 46:57Speaker 1: text in on the Whiskey Thief text line, or you
- 46:59Speaker 1: can tweek me at Just the Cat Radio. So yes.
- 47:02Speaker 1: In March of nineteen eighty three, are you ready for this?
- 47:07Speaker 1: I don't remember this. Maybe I do just a little bit.
- 47:10Speaker 1: But Cincinnati Bingles wide receiver Chris Collinsworth famously raced a
- 47:15Speaker 1: seven year old Thoroughbred horse named Mister Hurry in a
- 47:22Speaker 1: forty one yard publicly publicity stunt at Latonia Racecourse which
- 47:27Speaker 1: is now known as Turfway Park, losing by nine links. Wait,
- 47:32Speaker 1: he raced the horse. He didn't own the horse. He
- 47:37Speaker 1: raced it, little moron, he was gonna win. Collinsworth has
- 47:43Speaker 1: always been involved in thoroughbred horse racing gordership over the year.
- 47:46Speaker 1: So there you go. That's that's why I have no idea.
- 47:50Speaker 1: Collinsworth was known as one of the NFL's fastest young receivers,
- 47:53Speaker 1: but stood no chance against the animal. Clearly.
- 47:57Speaker 2: But anyway, is there any age of horse could reach
- 48:00Speaker 2: where you think a human could beat it?
- 48:02Speaker 1: No? Well, I mean, if the horse doesn't want to
- 48:05Speaker 1: run anymore and it only wants to trot. But what
- 48:07Speaker 1: if it.
- 48:08Speaker 2: May be fifteen sixteen years old? You don't think a
- 48:11Speaker 2: human could beat it because I mean if humans slow down,
- 48:14Speaker 2: maybe so the horses have to.
- 48:16Speaker 1: I mean, well, they say, mister Hurry was selected as
- 48:19Speaker 1: a jokingly bad racehorse, having lost one hundred and seven
- 48:23Speaker 1: of his previous one hundred and nine career races. Ye
- 48:28Speaker 1: had bolted out of the gate to an easy victory.
- 48:32Speaker 1: There you go, Oh my god, there's a there's a
- 48:36Speaker 1: what do we call him?
- 48:37Speaker 2: Influencer? I guess now, I show speed is his name.
- 48:41Speaker 2: He recently raced a horse as well, and he got.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Oh, come on smoked, all right, Ussain Bolt. Could he
- 48:49Speaker 1: potentially beat a race horse? Maybe if it's older, But
- 48:54Speaker 1: I know there's no way. I mean a horse's stride
- 48:58Speaker 1: and his younger days.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Maybe I see no way it happened if he was
- 49:03Speaker 2: younger and a horse was older. Potentially, but I doubt
- 49:07Speaker 2: now his son Lightning Lightning Bolt may be able to.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Beat a horse. These names, I just they're killing me.
- 49:16Speaker 1: That's it. That was the perfect name to name his son. Really,
- 49:19Speaker 1: you don't think so what's the other famous? Uh? Northwest exactly,
- 49:25Speaker 1: thank you, But I think lightning Bolt's awesome, do you Okay,
- 49:30Speaker 1: it's it's it's unique. I'll just I'll leave it at that.
- 49:34Speaker 1: But I don't remember this. That's that's pretty freaking cool.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Uh one. Uh, Texter said Michael, I'll save you a copey,
- 49:42Speaker 1: just turn your head off. What are you saying there?
- 49:47Speaker 1: My man? Oh my gosh. U Uh yeah, I think
- 49:52Speaker 1: he meant race as in Collinsworth ran against the horse.
- 49:54Speaker 1: You're right, thank you very much. I appreciate that, but yeah,
- 49:57Speaker 1: that was the case, but I I kind of vaguely
- 50:00Speaker 1: remember something like that. Okay, Uh, let's talk about By
- 50:04Speaker 1: the way, if you want to text in, please do
- 50:06Speaker 1: because I love it when you were justin and I
- 50:08Speaker 1: were talking about this. What are you laughing about that?
- 50:10Speaker 2: Jamie also says Scoot sounds like he's back in high school.
- 50:14Speaker 2: I swear it's not contagious, baby, I swear it's not contagious.
- 50:19Speaker 1: What baby? Oh my gosh. Man. Okay, all right, then,
- 50:23Speaker 1: well there we go back to high school jokes. Uh,
- 50:26Speaker 1: this will make you stop laughing. Purdue's new athletic director,
- 50:30Speaker 1: Tommy McClellan exactly. I knew it would made a very
- 50:36Speaker 1: bold statement yesterday. We're here to win championships. If you
- 50:40Speaker 1: don't want to win championships, go to Indiana. I for
- 50:47Speaker 1: the life of me, I you know, I'm not an
- 50:50Speaker 1: Indiana fan. I'm not a Purdue fan. I don't dislike
- 50:52Speaker 1: Purdue like you do. I'd probably do that to Indiana.
- 50:56Speaker 1: But we we really have it. The Indian dislike has
- 51:01Speaker 1: really disappeared from Kentucky fans. I think I think it's irrelevant.
- 51:06Speaker 1: Well in basketball, definitely, and we don't play in football anymore,
- 51:10Speaker 1: thank goodness. But I mean, yeah, back when we would
- 51:13Speaker 1: play Indiana on a regular basis on football and basketball,
- 51:17Speaker 1: I mean, the rivalry was there. It's it's absolutely disappeared now.
- 51:22Speaker 1: And I've been trying to think, is there other teams
- 51:24Speaker 1: like that? I mean, what are new what are relatively
- 51:27Speaker 1: new rivals for UK right now? Duke has been there
- 51:34Speaker 1: a long time, North Carolina's been there a long time,
- 51:36Speaker 1: Kansas has been there a long time. Clearly U of
- 51:39Speaker 1: L has been there a long time. Tennessee has been
- 51:44Speaker 1: there a long time. Yes, you could make a case
- 51:46Speaker 1: for South Carolina.
- 51:48Speaker 2: I think that's the perfect one. But that's only in football.
- 51:51Speaker 2: I don't feel like there's a rival.
- 51:52Speaker 1: Install No, You're exactly right, And that was because of
- 51:56Speaker 1: Shane Beemer and Mark Stoops, and now that that's completely gone,
- 52:00Speaker 1: I think that rival if UK beats them in football
- 52:04Speaker 1: this year, I think that rival will will be in
- 52:05Speaker 1: because you know, Shane Beemer will be gone. I think
- 52:08Speaker 1: that's a deciding game for Shane Beamer. If if UK
- 52:12Speaker 1: and Willstein beats nor South Carolina, his Shane Beamer's career
- 52:17Speaker 1: is over at at South Carolina. So I saw this,
- 52:21Speaker 1: I went back and I was like, okay, I can't
- 52:23Speaker 1: read this. I gotta find the video where he says this,
- 52:26Speaker 1: and the Perdue ad and Tommy McClellan. He's got to
- 52:30Speaker 1: be the laughing stock today. Do you know the statistics
- 52:34Speaker 1: of what of the championships? I'm not following you the
- 52:38Speaker 1: Indiana verse Perdue. Oh no, I do not. Okay, and
- 52:43Speaker 1: then this for basketball or football, for everything, okay, and
- 52:45Speaker 1: this will make him look like even more of an idiot.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Indiana has won twenty five national championship team national championships.
- 52:53Speaker 2: Okay, so you're talking every sport. Perdue has won three
- 52:57Speaker 2: whoa individual championships. Purdue has thirty one, Indiana has one
- 53:05Speaker 2: hundred and sixty three. Maybe you should have picked on
- 53:08Speaker 2: somebody else, you dumb idiot.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Why would he do that? I really, truthfully, this is
- 53:15Speaker 1: not a topic I would normally bring up because I
- 53:18Speaker 1: don't care about Purdue. I don't there. They're completely to
- 53:22Speaker 1: as far as I'm concerned, to UK fan base, they're
- 53:24Speaker 1: completely irrelevant. But to make a statement like that, you
- 53:28Speaker 1: can't help but say something because I truly don't understand
- 53:34Speaker 1: where this came from.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Well, he was to me, it came off to me
- 53:38Speaker 2: like he was trying to have his Kurt Signetti moment
- 53:41Speaker 2: the first time he was ever introduced at a basketball game,
- 53:43Speaker 2: and he had the whole Purdue sucks SODA's Michigan in
- 53:46Speaker 2: a high state. And I just feel like that's what
- 53:49Speaker 2: he was trying to do. But it's like you, you
- 53:51Speaker 2: clearly picked on the wrong guy.
- 53:53Speaker 1: Well yeah, especially since they they're celebrating a national championship, yeah,
- 53:58Speaker 1: that they won just a few months ago. It's like, I,
- 54:02Speaker 1: I really didn't understand it. I think this is gonna
- 54:04Speaker 1: backfire on him all right completely. I mean, with with
- 54:08Speaker 1: recruits and every like I do. I think this gives
- 54:11Speaker 1: Indiana a leg up because people are gonna start delving
- 54:13Speaker 1: into this stuff and they're gonna be like, what, Indiana's
- 54:16Speaker 1: way more championships than Purdue. Why would he say that. Yeah,
- 54:18Speaker 1: this dude's delusional. He's gotta pick on somebody else. Or
- 54:21Speaker 1: just don't bring that up at all. Just say, hey,
- 54:23Speaker 1: we're here to win championships and leave it at that exactly.
- 54:26Speaker 1: And if you're not here, uh, if you're not here
- 54:28Speaker 1: winning championships, go find another spot. Don't say Indiana. Just
- 54:31Speaker 1: don't say anybody. I just I found that probably one
- 54:36Speaker 1: of the oddest things that I've heard in a long
- 54:39Speaker 1: time ago.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Or John brought it up this morning on my show,
- 54:41Speaker 2: and I thought it was a good mindset. But if
- 54:44Speaker 2: you're gonna bring up Indiana, at least follow it up
- 54:47Speaker 2: with don't go to Indiana because we're about to stop
- 54:50Speaker 2: them from winning all these chips. And that's a good
- 54:52Speaker 2: point right there, And then that would have been I'd
- 54:53Speaker 2: have been okay with that.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's still kind of silly. It's not as
- 54:57Speaker 1: silly as this was, but that would be still somewhat
- 55:00Speaker 1: The other part I think is silly Boston head coach
- 55:04Speaker 1: Boston College. You saw this this, and I like this
- 55:10Speaker 1: guy Luke Murray who used to be assistant coach here
- 55:14Speaker 1: in Louisville at U of L, son of Bill Murray.
- 55:18Speaker 1: He goes to his school and the first thing he
- 55:22Speaker 1: does is the brand new head basketball coach at Boston.
- 55:26Speaker 1: What does he do? He fires the longtime radio announcers,
- 55:31Speaker 1: the color and the play by play. And why, you
- 55:37Speaker 1: might ask, he said. Murray's reason was he didn't want
- 55:41Speaker 1: any ties to the old staff. That's two things I'm
- 55:46Speaker 1: not sure which is dumber right there? And I look
- 55:50Speaker 1: at this and I think, my goodness, why would you
- 55:53Speaker 1: do something that's like Mark Pope coming to Kentucky and
- 55:58Speaker 1: saying Tom Leach, thank you, see you later.
- 56:00Speaker 2: That's you're a part of the old staff. Exactly what
- 56:02Speaker 2: I said earlier this week.
- 56:04Speaker 1: It did not happen.
- 56:06Speaker 2: People would lose their minds. These guys have been a
- 56:10Speaker 2: part of five different coaching staffs. So to let them
- 56:13Speaker 2: go because they were associated with the last coaching staff, Hey,
- 56:17Speaker 2: I would argue, either not associated with the coaching staff.
- 56:20Speaker 2: Do they have to interview him before and after every game?
- 56:23Speaker 1: Sure?
- 56:23Speaker 2: But are they part of the team and in team
- 56:26Speaker 2: meetings and all that. No, because they're not part of
- 56:28Speaker 2: the team. They're the broadcasting team.
- 56:30Speaker 1: They're part of the school. It was ridiculous. That's it exactly,
- 56:34Speaker 1: That's what I thought.
- 56:35Speaker 2: Well, now you got now you got these guys in
- 56:37Speaker 2: the beginning of August who are out of a job.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Are they going to be able to find full play
- 56:41Speaker 2: by playwork?
- 56:43Speaker 1: No? No, I just thought I didn't understand that. And
- 56:47Speaker 1: I want to like uh Luke Murray. I want to
- 56:50Speaker 1: root for him, but seeing something like this kind of
- 56:53Speaker 1: makes me want to do the opposite. Because Bill Murray,
- 56:56Speaker 1: his dad, is probably by far my favorite actor comedic.
- 57:02Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I am of everyone. I have always loved
- 57:05Speaker 1: Bill Murray. Really, so you're not that way not a
- 57:08Speaker 1: huge Bill Murray. Oh man, I am. That's obvious.
- 57:12Speaker 2: I mean also, that's probably a part of the time
- 57:15Speaker 2: of when I grew up and this time when I
- 57:17Speaker 2: grew up and he was on his downhill slide, whereas
- 57:19Speaker 2: you came up where he was popular and on the
- 57:22Speaker 2: up Oh.
- 57:23Speaker 1: Absolutely, yeah. I watched him on Sorry Night Live. Uh
- 57:27Speaker 1: and then one of my all time favorite movies is Caddyshack,
- 57:31Speaker 1: and of course he stole the show. I mean Stripe. I'm
- 57:35Speaker 1: trying to think of all the movies that I loved him. Stripes,
- 57:39Speaker 1: then you've got Ghostbusters. From there, you've got I know
- 57:46Speaker 1: I'm missing a bunch, of course. I love Stripes was
- 57:50Speaker 1: filmed here in Louisville and Ford. Groundhog Day is another
- 57:53Speaker 1: really good one. I know there's a bunch out there.
- 57:56Speaker 1: He was in space Cham, I forgot about that? Was
- 57:58Speaker 1: he really waiting for? No, not waiting for How do
- 58:02Speaker 1: you not name Kingpin? Oh my gosh, man, how did
- 58:06Speaker 1: I forget that king You're exactly right for a Handley
- 58:09Speaker 1: said groundhog Day. That's a great one. Kingpin is probably
- 58:13Speaker 1: one of his most iconic ones. Man, I'm I'm totally
- 58:19Speaker 1: drawn a blank. Schmidt. The Schmidt one was really good.
- 58:24Speaker 1: But anyway, so there you go. I'm just I was
- 58:28Speaker 1: disappointed to see that. Now other part, I was disappointed,
- 58:31Speaker 1: But honestly, let's be honest. We I don't know if
- 58:33Speaker 1: any of us are surprised. UK wide receiver Hardley Gilmour
- 58:36Speaker 1: was hardly on the team. I was hoping this, Oh
- 58:39Speaker 1: really okay? Been dismissed from the UK football team for
- 58:42Speaker 1: a violation of team rules. Have no idea what that means.
- 58:46Speaker 1: But the thing I admire, I like Stein is not
- 58:50Speaker 1: wasting time with anybody that potentially is going to be
- 58:52Speaker 1: a problem. I know, you know, he was at UK,
- 58:54Speaker 1: originally went to transferred to Nebraska.
- 58:57Speaker 2: I give the whole timeline, Yeah, go ahead, because I
- 58:59Speaker 2: saw this during the break and it's pretty crazy. This
- 59:01Speaker 2: is his timeline of his college football corps.
- 59:04Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 59:04Speaker 2: Twenty twenty three August and rolls at Kentucky December twenty
- 59:09Speaker 2: twenty four, enters the transfer portal January twenty five, commits
- 59:13Speaker 2: to Nebraska, April twenty five, enters the transfer portal again
- 59:19Speaker 2: April twenty five, returns to Kentucky January twenty sixth, enters
- 59:25Speaker 2: the transfer portal January twenty sixth commits to Loisville. January twelfth,
- 59:30Speaker 2: four days after he commits to Louisville, d commits from Louisville,
- 59:34Speaker 2: and that same day commits to Baylor. Then in March
- 59:37Speaker 2: third of twenty twenty six, commits to Kentucky for a
- 59:40Speaker 2: third time. Then now he's obviously dismissed from the team
- 59:45Speaker 2: after a violation of team rules. What a what a
- 59:47Speaker 2: wild timeline. It's kind of like, who's the player that
- 59:52Speaker 2: kept doing that? From Ohio State to South Carolina, South
- 59:55Speaker 2: Carolina Hill State?
- 59:57Speaker 1: What meet Cheet Johnson? Was that his name? Yeah? Met
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: Johnson that did that? And I'm like, what is going
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: on here? And of course he got he got so
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Hardley Gilmore got arrested, didn't he down? And while he
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: was at Nebraska, I don't remember that. I think he did,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: but I know he's kind of always had issues. Yeah,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: it's listen. I wish him nothing but the best. Hopefully
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: he can wake up one day and say, you know what,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: maybe it's time I grow up and maybe it's time
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: I take my life serious, and this young man clearly
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: needs to. But my goodness, I I feel bad for him.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: And it's got to be self inflicted, it really does.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: And I just, uh, I don't know, it's just one
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: of those things. I'm I'm really sad for him. But
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: all right, yesterday College Football Playoffs announced that they the
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: top three seeds are going to be able to select
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: their bullpath in the twelve team bracket. Oh that's awesome.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: So okay, you like that? Tell me why you like that?
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: I mean, I don't Maybe you shouldn't be able to
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: pick your path, because if as an Indiana fan, if
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: that was a thing last year, I would definitely would
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: not have taken the path that we got. Yes, but
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: it worked out in the end. Didn't exactly it worked
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: out the end. But if you give teams that freedom,
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: maybe you make the wrong choice.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Well every now and then and see that's a great
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: You're going exactly where I want you to go. Because
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: can it make a difference? Can it potentially change things
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: for a particular team because you know it's going to
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: be the first top three teams, so it goes in order,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: so the first team, second team, then thirdeam, all in
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: order to get their choices. Now, can it potentially say, hey, man,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: I think we screwed up because the first team's going
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: to get all the right choices. If they do, they
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: could meet a team that gets really hot at the
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: end and all of a sudden they get upset. Then
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: you start questioning, well, did we make the right choice there?
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Sometimes it works in the bene fit, sometimes it doesn't.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: I kind of I lean towards I like this because
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: the team, those top three teams deserve to be where
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: they are because they've worked through the entire year, unless
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: you're Notre Dame, than they don't. But I'm never gonna
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: stop with that comment, by the way, that mindset, But
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: I just believe that the top three teams typically have
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: the toughest way to go and deserve to be where
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: they are, and they should be allowed to choose where
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: they go. I don't know it as a point of
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: strategy for teams, yeah, win head coaches.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: Which I don't know, maybe you don't always want to
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: think about that sort of thing, Maybe just want to
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: let the standings work it out themselves. But yeah, I mean,
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: for instance, last year, I would have instead of being
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: in that game where Indiana was where you had to
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: play the winner of Alabama or Oklahoma, I would have
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: much rather been in Georgia's spot where you're playing the
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: winner of Tulane and Ole Miss, and Ole Miss ends
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: up rolling to the semi finals. Maybe that's wouldn't have
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: been the best path for Indy.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: I don't know. I look at it now and think, okay, yeah,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: it could have completely changed the outlook for Eye because
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: you know the other part is you're picking that out
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden, another team gets upset
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: from another bracket, it's like, we could have exactly and
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: it's like, no, dude, you're too late. Yard made your decision.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: So that's I mean, it's it's risky, but it's it's
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: As an outsider watching this, I think it as a
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: point of interest for the strategy. I would love to
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: hear those conversations after the season's over. Wouldn't it be
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: fun to hear the coaches talk about how they picked
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: the path that they wanted to play, especially the ones
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: that lose.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: I could see it now documentary with the top three coaches, Yes,
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: path to the playoff.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: I love that.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just them going through their mindset of yes,
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: of what what path they think would be the best.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: That'd be very I would watch it, yeah, without a doubt.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: And I think I don't think it has to be
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: like a series. It just just one, just one one
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: hour show and you're done, and after it's over you
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: can release the full bracket. Yes, exactly. So anyway, I
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: just I'm all for this. I'd like to see something
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: like this happen. So anyway, we gotta take another break
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: when we come back. I do want to talk about
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: there's a law case going on. I don't know if
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: you saw this or not. But a woman is suing
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: the New York Yankees. We'll talk about that as soon
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: as we get back. Have you seen this justin or no?
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: You have? Okay, yeah, I want to know how you
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: feel about this? Stay right there more just the cat's
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: coming up right after this break Fable two three four
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: fourteen fifty. You want to call Fable two four one
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: four fourteen fifty. You want to text in on the
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Whiskey Thief text line. One thing I missed about Chris
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: Collinsworth last night saying something. We didn't even talk about it, and
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I completely forgotten. Somebody just texted me, said, Michael, why
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: aren't you talking about this? Uh uh? Chris Collinsworth said,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: made the comment on the broadcast, Haines King is the
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: white Lamar Jackson? I missed that? Is that true? Is he?
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Is he the white? Maybe? Lamar Jackson is the black
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Uhane's King.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: I don't think Caine's King will have anything close to
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: the career Lamar Jackson's. It'll probably be far better, Okay,
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: less fumbling maybe.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Oh, but as Lamar Jackson had a good career, I
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: would say absolutely has he had a great career? I
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: would say, you're you're fringing on great. Yeah, you're fringing
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: on it. What does he need to do make it
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: a great career in the NFL? Win the big one exactly?
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: And that's true for any quarterback, isn't it. Which A
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: lot of people say Lamar can't win the big one.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: So we'll see, and I'm one of them. I just
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: don't think he's going to so. Uh and uh. Anyway,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: now he's got to deal with Mike McCarthy led Steelers. Baby,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: why do you like that? I don't. I'm gonna say
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: what you're talking about. And the one thing I am
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: excited about, uh is is uh former Bucks coach. We
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: won't get to hear it here. John Gruden is going
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: to do play by play announcing. We talked about it
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: with his one of his former players. You know this,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: don't you know? Oh you don't know this. I thought
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: you did. No, So John Gruden is literally going to
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: do play by play, not color, play by play exactly.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: His color guy is going to be one of his
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: former players, Ronde Barber. Okay, in an exhibition game, it's
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: going to be the Bucks versus the Chiefs. August twenty second.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: That should be entertaining. I think it'd be great. Ronde
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: Barber is awesome. He's done sideline for a while and
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: I think he does a nice job. John Gruden, I
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: don't know if I want him to be my play
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: by play guy. I want him to be my color guy.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: I think you would do a fine job. I think
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: he'll do a fine job.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: But again, if I'm with you, I mean i'd rather
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: hear him in color, Yeah, I would.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: Mike Tarrico and Chris Collins were do a nice job.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: They're the best in the business. But when it was
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Mike Trico and John Gruden, wasn't even close. It was
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Mike Urico and John Gruden, they were the by far
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: the best. John Gruden with anybody, well, I don't know
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: if with anybody. I don't think Jim Nance could work
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: well with John Gruden. Kidding me, Jim nantz is the
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: goat he could work correct, No, I don't think so.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: I think Mike Tarico knew how to let John Gruden
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: do his thing. I don't think Jim Nance would tolerate
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: John Gruden doing his thing. I think he'd grow tired
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: of it. Okay, let's talk about the new York Yankees.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Uh So, back in June, there was a game where
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: a young lady was watching the Yankees play a New
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: York Yankees play Cleveland, and UH player Jose Ramirez, one
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: of their greats, obviously lost the grip on his bet
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: and the bat went flying over the protective net. Ultimately,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: you hit this lady in her seat while she was
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: sitting there, striking her in the head. And this happened
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: back on June second in New York. She claims the
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: impact of the bat hitting her knocked her out of
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: the seat, caused a traumatic brain injury, concussion, light sensitivity,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: and permanent damage to your neck and hands. Now, she
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: was suing the New York Yankees for ten million dollars.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: She claims the Yankees did not provide adequate screening. Of course,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: this is now lawyer talk. Does she have a case.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: Justin I think she has a case ten million dollars worth?
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: Probably not, but she'll get some money out of.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: This now really, because there are a number of fans
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: that started sending pictures out when they saw this that
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: show signs on the back of every seat there that
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: says be alert for bats and or balls where she
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: where she was seated.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: Now this I've kind of contradicted myself because we were
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: talking about the whole TBT thing and people sitting on
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: the floor. I said, you, well, you know the risks
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: when you sit down there, yes, and you know the
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: risk when you sit down at a baseball game as well.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: Absolutely, pay attention, but.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: The fact that that net is there, you are led
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: to believe that that that protects protects you basically at
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: all times.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: I still think you're required to pay attention. And the
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: fact that their signs on the back of those seats
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: beware four balls or bat indoor bets. I listen, I
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I I now, ten million dollars seems extreme. Yeah, I mean,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: and I think why not. I bet the lawyer said,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: let's ask for more and probably and hope that we
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: get five million.
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: Well, well, yeah, I mean, when you're dealing with the New
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: York Yankees and you know that they have the money
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: they do, Yeah, you start high.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: But that's going to set a precedent. It's like everybody
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: will want to get hit by a ball or a bat.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: Oh I'm injured, give me five million dollars. That's the
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: That's the part that concerned me. Where does it end.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: When you go to a sporting event, expect things like
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: this to happen. That's the risk you take as a spectator,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: and if you're not paying attention to the game, that's
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: on you.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: But at the same time, as hard as it is
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: to live these days financially, I mean, if I can't
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: sit here and say I wouldn't do the same thing
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: if I was heur really get you're telling me I
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: can get ten million dollars out of the Yankees and
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: I can do whatever I want the rest of my life.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: Hell yes, I'm me a. You want to have a
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: permanent brain injury, so you can have ten million dollars.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: I'll deal with a concussion temporarily and sensitive lights for
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: the rest of my life if it needs ten million.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Well, except the lawyer takes thirty three three percent of that.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: You know that's not the deal we're working on. Oh oh,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: we're already negotiat all. Right. Any lawyer out there want
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: to talk to Justin right now. He's ready to lay
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: his head down on a bat. I'll give you fifteen percent.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: Oh my fifteen percent, that's it. Jeez, No, I I
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: think this is ridiculous because what concerns me. Now, is
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: everybody's going to complain, well, I got hit by a baseball, Oh,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: you hit a home run. Guess why I didn't have
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: a protective screen. My hand hurts. I want some money.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: I think there's a big difference between a ball and
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: a bat, though.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: I well, there is a big difference size, but there's
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: not a big difference because it's the same. A ball
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: can do just as much damage as a batcan. I mean,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: I guess, but it's like with a bat. It's like
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: imagine someone flinging a two by four at you. Yeah,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: you're right, versus just throwing a baseball at your head.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: I would think the two by four would hurt. Words.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: I'm not convinced of that. A two by four is
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: not going to go as fast as a baseball is.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: A baseball is going to come much faster at you,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: especially when it's hit off of a bat. I watched
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: the video That bat came out of his hands pretty
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: dann quick, it did. But can you imagine that used
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: to be a time when you didn't have those protective
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: screens down there. I have a friend that I grew
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: up with. His dad was at a Redbird's game and
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: got hit by a bet and he was never the
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: same again. Did he sue him? I think I don't
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: remember if they sued him or not. I'm not gonna
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: say his name, but this is many back in the eighties.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: But I think he got something from them. Now, whether
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: it was as a result of a lawsuit or not,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: I don't know, but this concerns me.
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: I mean, here's what I would have done if I
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: were hurt and I live in New York. I'm gonna
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: go up to them and I'm be like, hey, thinking
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: about taking legal action because of all this. But if
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: y'all don't want to pay me out financially, it's giving
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: me season tickets for ten years. That way, if I
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: can't make it to a game, I could sell those
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: season tickets and eventually, over time I will make that
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: money that I couldn't.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: I see. I think you're missing out a prime part
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: of it too, not just season tickets, but free concession. Okay, yeah,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: I'm all the beer. I want to drink, all the popcorn,
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: hot dogs, all of it.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: No, why to stop there. I want to handshake with
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: Aaron Judge and a signal every game here we go
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: before every game, every game. Oh, come on, matter of fact,
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: I want to come down on the field and I
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: want to pitch BPTE.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Now you're sounding like Akron. You know you texted me yesterday,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: which I thought was funny. You said, I told you
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: this was a good idea. Go ahead and tell him
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: what Ackron said yesterday if you'd missed it. I was
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: one of the subject matters was Akron is giving away
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: for a season ticket holder to become the assistant oc
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: offensive coordinator for a game, the very first game, which
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: is against Robert Morris, And I thought, well, is anybody
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: really going to sign up? And what happened justin because
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: you sent it to me. Kudos to you, and you're right.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: For the first time in school history, Akron's football suites
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: are sold out.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: The sweets, the sweet Okay, that's the sweets. That's not
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: the season ticket holders though, the normal. But you're right,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: you're right.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: Those are people who probably wanted in on the action
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: so they could call that first that first drive. Yeah yeah, okay,
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: well there you go.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Suck on that. One person texted in, Michael, size does matter, No,
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: it doesn't. One person. This sounds like a scam. George
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Constanza would pull on the Yankees. I know, I know
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: that's a reference for Seinfeld, but I hate say you.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: I didn't watch that show. So one person said, well,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: if you look back at the back of your ticket,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: it has a disclaimer saying pay attention for objects leaving
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: the field. So there you go. He's right, But does
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: that does that.
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: What's the word I'm looking for, I've forgotten all my
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: lawyer terms.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Does that make them okay? Though? Just because the tickets
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: say that, well, I mean they have it everywhere, they
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: got it all right, because he's right, they have it
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: on the back of the ticket, they have it on
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: the back of the chair. But what the claim is
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: the lawyers saying, is that, well, it wasn't protective enough
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: because clearly it came down and hit her and now
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: she's injured. So it's gonna be a debate whether it's
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: enough or not. And her lawyer is gonna say it
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: wasn't enough, so she wasn't supplied enough protection from Baseball's
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: our bats. But my whole point is they're still going
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: to get through. They're always going to get through. There's
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: always gonna be a foul ball that goes straight up
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: in the air and come right down knocking the head.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Even though you got protective net in front of you,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: there's always going to be a bat that potentially can
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: go to the top of the net and come down
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: and fall on you. You just have to be where
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: you were sitting. Where she was sitting, she has to
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: be more aware. And I guarantee you if she wasn't paying
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: attention to the ball game at all.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: At the same time, I think specifically in a spot
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: where she's sitting, you are way less likely to get
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: hit by anything. So therefore, in my opinion, you can
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: pay less attention.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: I'm there to pay attention to the ball because that's
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: where the nets are the highest around that whole field. Yeah,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: but I'm there to pay attention to the ball game,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: and I just I bet I listen, here's what's gonna happen.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: They're gonna look go back and figure a way to
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: find cameras that have her spotlighted so they can watch
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: what she paying attention to the game at all, And
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: that's gonna be their reasoning to fight against this, and
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: they'll probably settle with something. I get it, the Yankees
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: can't afford this, but I just don't want this to
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: become rampant to where everybody's suing all these baseball teams
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: or any of these sports events, and then what do
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: we do at that point? There's so many people out
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: there looking to sue something. They are every day and
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: that's what drives me nuts. It just is paycheck. Probably so,
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: Rajon Rondo and former UK baseball pitcher Brandon Webb have
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: been selected for the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame. Congratulations
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: to both. Rondo played in the NBA for good gosh,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: I thought it was more than this though it said
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: sixteen years for some reason, I had eighteen twenty years
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: in my mind A long time. It will all sixteen
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: years still a long time exactly. He was selected to
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: four All Star Games, two NBA Championships. Should his jersey
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: be hanging at Reporina?
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: I would say it will be eventually. What's taking so long?
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: Although didn't wasn't he?
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: Only?
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: No?
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: He was more than a one year guy, wouldn't he? Oh? Yeah, definitely?
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: I think I think he played three years. Yeah, okay, yeah,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: yeah definitely, so he should be now the one year guys?
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: What is the break do you think for all the
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: guys that were there for a year Anthony Davis, John Wall,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: DeMarcus Cousins. I mean, the list goes on. Do they
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: deserve to have their jerseys one day hanging at Reperina?
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: They were only there one year. That's that's what I
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: worry about, although I think those guys were very impactful. Yeah,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: and especially the championship ones. See, that's where I kind
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: of worry. Anthony Davis won a championship there. I don't know,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: that's tough. I still look back at that first team
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: cow Head at UK. I still think that was a
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: team that should have won a championship. It frust it
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: really frustrates me that team did not win a championship.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: So you think you think the championship years makes a
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: difference over the ones that did not make a championship.
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but then that's also taken away from the ones
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: that didn't get a championship, like the the fifteen guys,
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: those one those one year guys they went three nine
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: and oh yeah, Willie.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: Cally Stein's one of them.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's I feel like that has to
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: be acknowledged as well.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: Kat. I mean, do you think carl Anton Towns deserves
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: to be on the U on the ceiling one day.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: All I know is I'm glad I'm not in charge
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: of making it. See, I'm right there with you. But
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: there's a number of players that have gotten up there,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: and I know Rajon Rondo hadn't gotten up there. It's like,
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: what are we waiting on? I didn't understand that. So
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: all right, we got to take our last break. When
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: we come back, I do want to talk about a
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: little bit about women's basketball and a ranking came out
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: yesterday that's really impressive. And plus we got to talk
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: about this traffic guy in Cincinnati too. Don't forget that
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: as well. And I'll get back to your text five
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: two four one. I know you're gonna hate me. It's
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: not a Kiss fan. No wonder your wife doesn't like
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: She didn't like him. We saw him in concert one
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: time and they were they were unique. It was it
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: was they were the warm up band for Aerosmith. Okay, yeah,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: there was a band from Memphis. Uh, there're so there
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: are three bands this night. It was at Freedom Hall.
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: I think it was it Freedom Hall and a band
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: from Memphis. They were really good. Then Kiss came on
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: and they were unique. I mean, it's a light things
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: do you.
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: Okay, good, especially this song, because have you ever seen
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: the movie Role Models?
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: I don't think I have.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: So there's a funny part in that movie where this
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: song comes on and one of the main characters he sings,
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: I want to rock and roll all night and part
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: of every day, and the other character is he's he goes, uh,
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: it's it's party every day. Guys like, well, I don't
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: have time to party every day. I can only party
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: for part of the day. So fun that's that's good.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: I know. I've gotten addicted to this one show now.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: It's out years ago, twenty years ago, Arrested Development. Okay,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: I've never watched it before, and I've seen so many
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: bits of it, bits and pieces on it on social media.
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: It's like, Okay, i gotta go watch the show, and
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: I have says it's it's pretty funny. Oh so you
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: actually have went and watched. Oh I'm gone now to
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: start watching it. Yeah. Between that and Danny McBride show
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: down in what is it Eastbounding Down? Yeah, man, that's
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: really funny. That's crazy. Arrested Development debuted in two thousand
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: and three, I know exactly. We're talking twenty three years ago.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: So I'm watching shows twenty three years old. That is nuts. Yeah,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: and it's got a great list of cast members on it,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: so I liked it. Yeah, I mean anyway, Josh text
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: it out twenty bucks says her phone was in her
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: hand as the bat hitter. Listen, I'm not taking the
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: that kiss that bet because I think you're right. There's
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: a video and I haven't I don't remember if it
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: if her phone was in her hand, but I think
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: she was turned to watch.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: You can't see her when the bat hits her. Yeah,
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: you only get the girl after.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: It, Okay, but I guarantee you there's cameras all over
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: that stadium and they have the whole incident. They'll have
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: it in court.
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: But you know it was bad because that in the video,
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: if you watch it, there's a little girl. Oh yeah,
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: she's just standing there with her hand discovering her mouth
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: like holy smoke.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, oh exactly. That's the part I didn't like
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: showing the little girl. But speaking of tragedy, uh, yesterday
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: morning in Cincinnati, Ohio, there was a wreck on I
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: seventy one. Why do I talk about this because the
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: traffic guy was doing the traffic spot on live television
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: as the wreck happened behind him, and he turns around
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: to see it and goes, oh shit, and they didn't
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: complete the word. And then he goes, oh, I'm so
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: sorry because he realized what he said. It is. If
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: you haven't seen it yet, go watch it. It is
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: a funny, funny video because I've literally never seen this
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: happen before, because you know, we all watch the traffic
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: reports in the morning, at least I do, and to
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: see the traffic and I'm trying to figure out what
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: the car was doing. It was trying to merge on
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: when it's not supposed to merge on to the express way.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: You know how they had that solid white line when
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: you're merging off a ramp and he cuts over, and
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: I'm like, where are you looking? Because he literally runs
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: into a car that is sitting there in the artificial island,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: And are you looking at up right now the hole?
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: Exactly what is that driver doing to run into that car?
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: Clearly he was looking back. He's gonna have you talk
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: about a lawsuit. There's gonna be a lawsuit against him,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: and he's gonna lose. You're you're saying the guy that
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: was sitting there or the driver. The driver. Yeah, the
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: guy sitting there did nothing wrong, so he was having
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: car problems or whatever.
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: So you think the one that would that crashed into
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: the back of him was trying to merge.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: Oh, absolutely, because it was trying to cut in front
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: of a whole whole bunch of people and not pay
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: attention to that. The ramp goes a little further and
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: he kind of cut through the artificial uh you know
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: those solid white lines. They call it an artificial island.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but the but the but the traffic guy.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: His response was priceless, and then his realization of exactly
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: what he said. I just I love that. It's kind
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: of like the the one news Guy's a black guy
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: that was talking real serious on the news and a
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: bug flies into his mouth and then he goes all,
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: uh this crack of tap. It was the funniest thing
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: I've ever seen. Oh I love that one. But yeah,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: this kind of ranks up there with it. I enjoyed it, so,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: uh go look up that one bake almost makes me
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: want to star walk the news. Oh, you don't watch
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: the news at all? I do in the morning. I
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: rarely do it, really, Okay, I watch it for two things.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: I read the news, but I don't watch it. I
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: watched the news for two things, weather sports. I don't
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: really pay attention to anything else. But and I don't
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: watch national news at all. I just ero interested in that.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: But UK is the only school in the nation with
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: men's basketball, women's basketball, football, and baseball teams who have
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: top ten transfer portal classes. How about that? How about that? Congratulations?
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Kentucky men's basketball was ranked number two in transfer portal class,
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: women's basketball number six, football number ten, and baseball number eight.
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: Number six for basket women's Yeah, cat me do it, canny?
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: Oh come on now, kick it off. Oh jeez, we're
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: gonna let Mark Pope get number two and you get
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: number six.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: Come on, man, well who was Mark? I think that's
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: a fair question. Who's more impressive men's basketball, women's basketball, football,
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: or baseball. I disagree. What it's gotta be football last
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: year or what they did.
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: You're asking what they did in the transfer port what
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: they did in the transfer portal. But that's the thing is,
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: we don't know how all that's gonna work out.
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: You're right, but taking a football program that was going
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: to the point of being non existent, and turning it
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: around and coming here within months and you have the
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: tenth ranked portal class that's going to lead you to
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: a four and eight record. Ah man, Okay again, but
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: it isn't quite an accomplishment what he did only a
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: few months here. At least Mark Pope, Kenny Brooks and
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: Nick Min'sione have been here a while. Will Stein has
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: only been here months, not even a year. Yeah, but
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: will Stein is also in his mid thirties. None of
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: those guys are fine, My gosh, man, you are hard
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: to please.
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: No, he just he connects better with the recruits. So
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: therefore I'm not I'm surprised at all, and he was
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: able to pull a good price.
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: I'm moving on just whatever you say. No, I'm not
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: letting you move on. I don't know. We're done, down,
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: we're done. We're going on another way. Seven minutes. Good
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: gosh man, And you know what that segments, it's gonna
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: be the longest now because you've really frustrated me by
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: what you just said there. Okay. UK women's basketball to
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: play Virginia December twentieth in Nashville. Is a part of
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: the UH. I've never heard of this sprouts Farmers market.
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: That's that's a real mouthful right there. Part of the
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: ESPN w H Invitational, which I think is great. Uh,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: this will be only the third time that Kentucky's played
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: the Cavaliers women's basketball. I like this. They're about to
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: get whooped. Who Virginia was about to get whooped? Oh?
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: I thought you meant Kentucky was undefeated? Kidding me, Kenny
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: Brooks baby, Okay, yeah, I know your love for him.
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: The uh the other games that they that's gonna be played,
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: is you in LSU. This is really a nice series
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: here because you know a lot of people turn in
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: for Yukon and LSU and watch Kentucky and Virginia. By
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: the way, Uh, Kentucky holds the record right now two
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: and zero over Virginia the other two times that they met.
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: So it'll be three and oh now it will be yeah, definitely. Yeah,
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: I'm excited about that. I think it'll be a fun
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: series right there. I just don't know who Sprouts Farmer's
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: Market is, but I bet will know.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: Huh. I don't think you need to know, right, we
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: don't need to know, no, what's the matter. Although they're
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: sponsoring it. I mean that's part of sponsoring something like that.
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: You're supposed to know who they are.
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're giving them what they want if you
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: buy in and try to figure out who they are.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: But that's what they want exactly. Why Why shouldn't I
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: Why should I not give in?
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: I want to be a rebel and not give them
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: what they want. Oh my gosh, you've already said their
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: name more times than I would have.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: Really, Yeah, house Farmer's Market. I want to know who
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: sprouts Farmer's Market is. I might go down to the
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: market and get some sprouts. At this point, I don't
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: know what they are. I mean, is this the last
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: name of somebody? Or are they selling little sprouts from
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: the farm? And what is a sprout? Uh? Green? Thank you?
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: That tells me everything I need. By the way, the
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: Kentucky tomatoes are out next door. If you saw that.
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I was actually just sitting here thinking, I think
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: I'm gonna go bring breakfast sandwich there?
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: Are you really? Yeah? Well they got no, we're talking
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: two different places over not okay, well the little market
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: down there, not the not the gas station. Okay, yeah,
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: Kentucky tomatoes are out. I am fascinated by whoever is marketing.
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: They're signed there. Why they're putting stuff like this up.
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: Let me know. When you see the Texas crape listen,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: I'm to a point now I want Texas crape food again.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: I would listen. I'm all about Texas grape fruit. But
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: the Kentucky tomatoes are out, so that's what we've got
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: to concentrate on. Well, they're tomatoes from Kentucky, clearly, clearly.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: I mean I don't know anything about tomatoes, but when
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: the Kentucky tomatoes are out, I gotta get some. Uh.
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: Saint X is number one for the national high school
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: standings in the Max Prep Cup. How do you like that?
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: The hell's the Max Prep Cup? I have no idea,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: but that's the most championships you can get. I think
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: in every sport. It's kind of like the Uh, what's
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: the cup that they have in college that you can
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: win when you win the most championships for your athletic department. Yeah,
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: I think it's the same thing. And out of all
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: the high schools in the United States, Saint X was
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: number one and Trinity was up there. They were just
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: a spot out of the top ten. They were at
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: number eleven. I thought that was rather impressive. So and
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: of course all our guys here TJ. He went to
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: didn't HEJ J. Walker did? Yeah? Uh so he was
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: bragging about that, and you should. You were talking about
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: the Capitol One Capitol One Cup. That's it. I think
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: this is the same thing. The Max Preps Cup is
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: the same thing as the Capitol One Cup. SIP on
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: the high school level, i X is pretty dominant and
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: a lot of things. But they're not dominated in football
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: anymore though, isn't it Trinity? Oh they did?
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: Nobody really know what's gonna happen. Trinity is the top
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: ranked school in Kentucky. But I mean, think about all
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: the other programs st X has, Like they're swimming and diving, golf.
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: I mean, they're dominant in a lot of Who's better
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: in basketball Trinity or sat X. I don't even know
- 1:32:39Speaker 2: st X most years? Are they really Okay? Well, congratulations
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: to Saint Xavier uh here in Louis, Kentucky for getting
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: the number one Max Prep Cup out of all the
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: high schools in the country.
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: I just think that's an amazing feat. And I didn't
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: go to school there, but I'm gonna congratulate them in
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: Trinity too. For being in the top eleven son graduation.
- 1:33:00Speaker 2: Trinity finished number one nationally. I believe in basketball last
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: year nationally. Yeah pretty sure.
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: Wow? Okay, well good for them, I mean, and hopefully
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: a lot of these guys just end up going to Kentucky.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: So you got any plans for the weekend. I think
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna do some golfing tomorrow. I am too. Then
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: other than that, no, not really, yeah, I hope not.
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: I got to go out to the track in the
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: morning and Sunday morning, so I and then I got
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: to run the church. So then that's basically it. If
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: you drive to church, you probably get there quickly. Okay,
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: all right, I'll drive my car there and I'll go
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: there and listen to what they have to say and
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: then leave. Okay, how positive is that? I mean, come
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: join me Westport Road Church Christ. I'll be there Sunday morning,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: nine am. But anyway, have a great weekend everyone. I
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: appreciate the week. This has been a fun week. It's
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: been We're getting just closer and closer to football. Whoa,
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: and you know now we're we're getting into more of
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: football talk starting next week, you know, and then we
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: guess what we had basketball. After that, it's just this
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: summer's blown by. But anyway, have a great weekend. Everybody
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: will see you Monday on Just the Cast.
