- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 0:28Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 0:31Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 0:35Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 0:39Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 0:43Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home

- 1:00Speaker 3: When I would drop these videos, I would put stupid
- 1:03Speaker 3: stuff like Jeremy Anderson speaks at Troy.
- 1:06Speaker 4: High School, not realizing people ain't looking for that.
- 1:09Speaker 3: I changed that sucker to top motivational youth speaker in
- 1:14Speaker 3: the week.
- 1:15Speaker 4: A thousand views.
- 1:16Speaker 3: They'll figure out the name after I watch it.
- 1:17Speaker 4: They figured out later.
- 1:19Speaker 3: I put out thinking what are teachers looking for? Right
- 1:22Speaker 3: right right, best speak, best assembly speaker, guest speaker for
- 1:25Speaker 3: best top speaker, best speaker, Like I used that stuff,
- 1:28Speaker 3: but just kept it very generic. What they were typing in.
- 1:33Speaker 5: My graduates from my school being forced back drop drop,
- 1:39Speaker 5: Mike dropdrop.
- 1:52Speaker 3: All right, guys, welcome back.
- 1:53Speaker 6: Ey Eltis is going to be a special episode, something
- 1:56Speaker 6: that you've been looking forward to for a while.
- 1:58Speaker 7: So jer Jimie Anderson, I'll give the whole backstory of this.
- 2:02Speaker 6: I think the first time that we actually met was
- 2:05Speaker 6: when we came to your house, right, Yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Was that one of Marcus events? Okay, and then were
- 2:10Speaker 3: playing that big one.
- 2:12Speaker 7: Yeah, so that was over.
- 2:14Speaker 4: That was over.
- 2:15Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 6: He invited us to his house on Tuesday, I think
- 2:19Speaker 6: Monday and Tuesday for lunch in Atlanta, and it was us,
- 2:23Speaker 6: it was Spargo, Y, Marcus, Alex, Neo, just just.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Y.
- 2:34Speaker 7: Yeah, all the guys in Atlanta pulled up and beautiful house.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's the understanding.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Yeah, his house is inspired Atlanta houses.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I felt the.
- 2:46Speaker 7: Way beautiful house, but it was just good fellowship.
- 2:49Speaker 6: Camaraderie really just summed up the experience of Atlanta, you know,
- 2:53Speaker 6: when people working together, people building together. I had lunch him,
- 3:02Speaker 6: so that was like the first time we actually got
- 3:04Speaker 6: to build and then from there we've been able to
- 3:06Speaker 6: develop a relationship. And he was gracious enough to MC
- 3:10Speaker 6: Investments for legendary investments.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Bonkers said to be available.
- 3:19Speaker 6: Yeah, yes, that's not something that we took lightly because
- 3:24Speaker 6: that was our first ever like event of that magnitude.
- 3:28Speaker 6: So having somebody at the MC the event was something
- 3:31Speaker 6: that was extremely important. That's like a quarterback of the team.
- 3:33Speaker 6: So you know, we entrusted Jeremy. Whether he's in a
- 3:36Speaker 6: great job, homerun Jeremy is a world renow speaker, author
- 3:43Speaker 6: as well.
- 3:45Speaker 7: And just a great guy.
- 3:46Speaker 6: But he has been all over the world speaking from
- 3:49Speaker 6: Australia to Africa, Middle East, India, India. So he's been
- 3:58Speaker 6: in the space for over a decade twelve years, right, yep.
- 4:00Speaker 6: So this is going to be an interesting episode because
- 4:03Speaker 6: you know, public speaking, motivational speaking is one of these
- 4:05Speaker 6: things that has been around for a long time, but
- 4:08Speaker 6: people are just now starting to realize.
- 4:10Speaker 7: That there's actually business behind it.
- 4:12Speaker 6: It's not just somebody just going up there just giving
- 4:15Speaker 6: out quotes like it's actually a business.
- 4:20Speaker 7: And it's one of those things.
- 4:21Speaker 6: I like you because it's like, you know, it shows
- 4:23Speaker 6: that anybody can do it, because it's not like you
- 4:25Speaker 6: was groomed it for this your whole life.
- 4:26Speaker 7: You have some.
- 4:27Speaker 6: Adversity early on. We'll talk about that, but came and
- 4:32Speaker 6: just doing it and making a living for yourself. Company
- 4:35Speaker 6: is killing it. Multi millions have been generated at an
- 4:40Speaker 6: academy with students. So we're going to get all of
- 4:43Speaker 6: the information, all of the game. But first and almost, man,
- 4:47Speaker 6: thank you for having me. Man, Yeah, thank you for
- 4:49Speaker 6: having me.
- 4:50Speaker 4: And let me just say, man, what I honor it was.
- 4:52Speaker 3: To get the call to host the best fest. You
- 4:55Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, because bro, y'all know a lot
- 4:56Speaker 3: of people. So when y'all call me, it was a
- 4:59Speaker 3: no brainer, you know, saying y'all know. The conversation we
- 5:02Speaker 3: had it was just like Yo, what's done? And I
- 5:05Speaker 3: got to shout y'all out. Man, you know, y'all student
- 5:08Speaker 3: there in South Africa is doing well.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Can I tell the people about it?
- 5:12Speaker 3: About it? We'll get to me. But if we tell
- 5:15Speaker 3: you some things we don't talk about Jeremy. So when
- 5:19Speaker 3: we had the lunch, and so you know, I'm nonprophets
- 5:21Speaker 3: is sponsoring forty kids in South Africa and so me
- 5:25Speaker 3: and my wife personally sponsored ten. And so when we
- 5:27Speaker 3: were having lunch and you guys, I never forget y'all
- 5:31Speaker 3: was like, yo, you y'all y're sponsoring kids?
- 5:33Speaker 4: Are y'all?
- 5:33Speaker 3: Y'all still want sponsors? And then y'all was like, we
- 5:35Speaker 3: want to sponsor one. It wasn't how much can we
- 5:39Speaker 3: It was just like, yo, we want to sponsor one.
- 5:41Speaker 3: And so that student is doing well, you know what
- 5:43Speaker 3: I'm saying, And they would not be there if it
- 5:45Speaker 3: wasn't for y'all, man, So respect for that.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Appreciate that.
- 5:47Speaker 3: When I got the call for investments, it was a
- 5:49Speaker 3: no brainer.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Y'all know we do. That's love, man. I want to
- 5:52Speaker 4: get into this look back, all right, So how did
- 5:54Speaker 4: you get.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Into the field of public speaking? So I think I
- 6:00Speaker 3: I always was running my mouth when I was in
- 6:02Speaker 3: school and never realized I could really get paid for it.
- 6:05Speaker 3: And then of course the big homie you know what
- 6:06Speaker 3: I'm saying, et seeing how he's emerged over the years,
- 6:10Speaker 3: Like I knew what was possible, but then like most people,
- 6:12Speaker 3: it was just like, ah, but is that possible for me?
- 6:15Speaker 3: And so you know, I went through a lot of
- 6:17Speaker 3: different adversities, bump my head, made a lot of mistakes,
- 6:20Speaker 3: and I finally got my mind righting my life together.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I would get invitations here or there to speak you
- 6:24Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, a little use program at this church,
- 6:28Speaker 3: or can you come to this little school after school program?
- 6:30Speaker 3: And I started just speaking and just really sharing my story.
- 6:33Speaker 3: I didn't even really understand the art behind it. I
- 6:35Speaker 3: was just like, yo, I got a message, I got
- 6:36Speaker 3: a story, and I just started speaking and just really
- 6:38Speaker 3: wanted to make an impact that sparks them inside their minds.
- 6:41Speaker 3: And then I looked up years later, long story short,
- 6:43Speaker 3: and it emerged at the whole business. I was actually
- 6:46Speaker 3: speaking kind of off and on for about two years,
- 6:49Speaker 3: a little over two years, and then I had this
- 6:51Speaker 3: incident man where I met this little red haired girl
- 6:54Speaker 3: man and she changed my life and I ended up
- 6:56Speaker 3: quitting my job becoming a full time speak I'm talking
- 6:59Speaker 3: about jump ten toes in and then my wife's so gangssee,
- 7:03Speaker 3: y'all gonna trace it. She jumped in too, she quit
- 7:05Speaker 3: her job, and then it was like at this point
- 7:08Speaker 3: now it was like, yo, I got a sink or swim.
- 7:10Speaker 2: So in the early days, before we get to the
- 7:13Speaker 2: part where you're flourishing, what was that preparation, like for
- 7:16Speaker 2: given speaking in public right, because a lot of people
- 7:19Speaker 2: haven't gotten to that point yet. But it's like, you know,
- 7:21Speaker 2: they might have a gift, what they think they do?
- 7:24Speaker 2: What's that process?
- 7:25Speaker 4: Like? What was the preparation?
- 7:26Speaker 2: Like are we just saying like I'm a freestyle when
- 7:28Speaker 2: I got there, or I'm an write down notes?
- 7:29Speaker 3: Like what was the processya, I'm gonna give you gangs?
- 7:31Speaker 3: So I'm gonna say a nice friend. Everybody's watching right now,
- 7:33Speaker 3: like take notes, I'm gonna give gang right. First off,
- 7:36Speaker 3: everybody has a gift and a story, and most people
- 7:39Speaker 3: don't realize that. So the first thing you do when
- 7:41Speaker 3: somebody is gonna give you the opportunity to speak, you
- 7:42Speaker 3: need to figure out what are the core values of
- 7:44Speaker 3: the organization, What are some of their pain points? What
- 7:47Speaker 3: are they struggling with? You know what I'm saying, how
- 7:50Speaker 3: can you add the most value? Then you want to
- 7:51Speaker 3: ask questions like, who's gonna be in an audience, what
- 7:54Speaker 3: are some of the different things that they're dealing with?
- 7:55Speaker 3: Are they struggling with if it's young people, if it's women,
- 7:58Speaker 3: if it's adults, if it's corporate, Like, what are some
- 8:00Speaker 3: of the challenges, like what's going on inside their world?
- 8:03Speaker 3: That way you could find a way to craft the
- 8:04Speaker 3: best message, the best speech. Most people just be like
- 8:06Speaker 3: I'm just going to go and speak and share my
- 8:08Speaker 3: story and have no clue who's in the audience. But
- 8:10Speaker 3: I cracked the code, Like, if you want to get
- 8:12Speaker 3: invited over and over and over again, if you want
- 8:14Speaker 3: people to start recommending you for other folks, you got
- 8:16Speaker 3: to figure out, Okay, who's the audience, what they got
- 8:18Speaker 3: going on, what challenges? What are they dealing with? You
- 8:20Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. What language do they use? What jargon?
- 8:23Speaker 4: What are some of the pain points? So you can
- 8:25Speaker 4: add the most value.
- 8:26Speaker 3: And that's really what I've always been on whenever I'm speaking,
- 8:29Speaker 3: it's like, Yo, how can I add the most value?
- 8:30Speaker 3: Even today when we was outside, I told y'all, like, yo,
- 8:33Speaker 3: I want to add a ton of value. I want
- 8:34Speaker 3: to give as much game as way as possible, because
- 8:37Speaker 3: there's something special that you just put yourself in the
- 8:39Speaker 3: best position. It's hard not to thrive when you've got
- 8:41Speaker 3: that kind of mindset. So that's the first thing I
- 8:43Speaker 3: tell people, to get as much information so you can
- 8:45Speaker 3: add as much value.
- 8:46Speaker 4: What about the aspect of anxiety?
- 8:48Speaker 2: Public speaking is something that is difficult for a lot
- 8:51Speaker 2: of people, and at some point maybe it was difficult
- 8:54Speaker 2: for you.
- 8:55Speaker 4: So how do you deal with that if you did?
- 8:57Speaker 2: And what are like some things that people can do
- 8:59Speaker 2: when it's like the first time they're speaking.
- 9:01Speaker 3: So you got, yeah, you got two types of people
- 9:04Speaker 3: that's gonna be speaking, whether it's for a living or
- 9:06Speaker 3: whether doing it for free or whatever. Right, you got
- 9:08Speaker 3: the person that has to give the gap so they
- 9:10Speaker 3: can talk in front of even though the don't know
- 9:11Speaker 3: they talking about, they don't have a problem running their mouth.
- 9:14Speaker 3: But then you got the person's kind of shy, you
- 9:16Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. And they say that ninety five
- 9:18Speaker 3: ers love humans are afraid of public speaking. So it's
- 9:21Speaker 3: already a special type of individual that's even has the
- 9:24Speaker 3: courage to stand up in front of other people to speak.
- 9:26Speaker 3: And those are the ones that's typically in this space. Now,
- 9:28Speaker 3: I still have people that have amazing stories and got
- 9:31Speaker 3: great insight that are kind of shy and nervous, and
- 9:33Speaker 3: so we helped them break out of that and remind
- 9:36Speaker 3: them like they're authoritative figures in their space. You know
- 9:39Speaker 3: what I'm saying. I think when people realize that, it
- 9:41Speaker 3: helps them come out that shell. We just had one student,
- 9:44Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, Carla out on the West Coast.
- 9:46Speaker 3: She's got seven thousand dollars.
- 9:48Speaker 4: She's in our.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Program, Man one speaking engagement, and she's just like, man,
- 9:52Speaker 3: I was so nervous. I can't believe I got the contract.
- 9:54Speaker 3: I'm like, now, I'm gonna show you what to do
- 9:55Speaker 3: when you take the stage. So, you know what I'm saying,
- 9:58Speaker 3: Let's let's back up a little bit. I went to
- 10:00Speaker 3: the backstory because I know there was some adversity. Can
- 10:03Speaker 3: you talk about that, because I know you was in
- 10:05Speaker 3: the darks place and that helped you to where you
- 10:09Speaker 3: are now. So for people that might not be familiar
- 10:11Speaker 3: with your story, can you kind of give them a
- 10:13Speaker 3: little background in your story? Yeah? So you know, growing up,
- 10:15Speaker 3: my biological father was never present in my life, like
- 10:19Speaker 3: a lot of people can relate to. I dealt with
- 10:21Speaker 3: years of drugging, alcohol abuse. I wasn't the type that
- 10:23Speaker 3: could just have a drink and have a good time.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Bro.
- 10:25Speaker 3: I was like on some bino stuff. You know what
- 10:26Speaker 3: I'm saying, repeated tail you're in school ADHD Like I
- 10:30Speaker 3: really struggle, you know what I'm saying, pulling kick doors,
- 10:32Speaker 3: stealing cars like I literally wishes out here, just trying
- 10:36Speaker 3: to get in Atlanta.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Nah, this is true. Alabama, Alabama.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Yeah. I went from Dallas, Texas to Atlanta, New Jersey, Alabama,
- 10:44Speaker 3: then back to Atlanta. We moved around a lot when
- 10:46Speaker 3: I was young, and I was just trying to get it,
- 10:48Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, and caught up with the
- 10:50Speaker 3: wrong crowd, me and my boys, your knucklehead trying to
- 10:52Speaker 3: figure things out, you know what I'm saying. And so
- 10:54Speaker 3: I had a lot of challenges. But I eventually hit
- 10:57Speaker 3: the reset button. You know. That's why I told you
- 10:59Speaker 3: all the time, like I se be dinner in prison.
- 11:01Speaker 3: I got some pot that's locked up right now, you
- 11:02Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, Like I should be there, but
- 11:04Speaker 3: I got another chance. I got to experience that thing
- 11:06Speaker 3: called grace, and so now I'm like, let me help
- 11:09Speaker 3: other people not make the same mistake I made. So
- 11:11Speaker 3: now I turn my pain into purpose, you know what
- 11:14Speaker 3: I'm saying. Like, like they say, you're messing to a message.
- 11:17Speaker 3: So now I let people know like most people want
- 11:19Speaker 3: to run away from their story. Most people want to
- 11:21Speaker 3: run away from their past, you know what I'm saying,
- 11:23Speaker 3: because they feel like, nah, that that might be a liability.
- 11:26Speaker 4: I'm like, no, your.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Past is an asset.
- 11:29Speaker 4: You feel me Like most people say, no, my past
- 11:31Speaker 4: is a liability.
- 11:32Speaker 3: No, what's an asset like that can help propel you,
- 11:35Speaker 3: that can help you build wealth, that can help you
- 11:37Speaker 3: break change and curses and help other people and provide
- 11:40Speaker 3: for yourself and help spark something. Once you figure it out,
- 11:43Speaker 3: you hit the reset button. Now you tell other people
- 11:45Speaker 3: how to figure it out.
- 11:46Speaker 7: Yeah, and you can't.
- 11:47Speaker 6: You can't be ashamed of something that you went through
- 11:50Speaker 6: because somebody can't use it against you if you embrace it,
- 11:53Speaker 6: like Jay said, hope that that's hopefully you won't have
- 11:56Speaker 6: to go through.
- 11:56Speaker 4: That your test becomes a testimony and stay.
- 12:01Speaker 6: So all right, So for being a public speaker, let's
- 12:03Speaker 6: let's attack this one step at the time. What are
- 12:05Speaker 6: the qualifications, if there are any qualifications to become a
- 12:09Speaker 6: public speaker, Can anybody be a post speaker?
- 12:12Speaker 3: I feel anybody can be a public speaker. And I
- 12:14Speaker 3: literally have every type of person that I work with
- 12:17Speaker 3: in our community that are from different walks of life. Black, white, Hispanic, young, old.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Some are teachers, some used to be pastors, some don't
- 12:25Speaker 3: want to be a pastor, Some are in between jobs,
- 12:27Speaker 3: some drop out of college.
- 12:29Speaker 4: And they all are experiencing SSS.
- 12:31Speaker 3: It really just depends on what you got going on
- 12:33Speaker 3: here and what you got going on side here. Number
- 12:35Speaker 3: one question I get is do I got to go
- 12:36Speaker 3: to a college and get a degree. And I'm like,
- 12:38Speaker 3: you already got a degree. I gotta have people like no.
- 12:41Speaker 3: I'm like, no, you already got a degree. You've got
- 12:42Speaker 3: an associate and abandonment, you have been abandoned. You got
- 12:46Speaker 3: a bachelor's in brokenness. You feel me like the hard
- 12:48Speaker 3: knock life. You feel me like you got a master's
- 12:50Speaker 3: in misery, you got a doctrine and depression, like there
- 12:53Speaker 3: are some things you've gone through and that right there
- 12:55Speaker 3: is what has prepared you. So now when you stand
- 12:58Speaker 3: in front of people, you can speak with authority, because
- 13:00Speaker 3: you know how it feels to be in a bed
- 13:01Speaker 3: and not want to get out the bed, not want
- 13:03Speaker 3: to do nothing, not want to work out, not want
- 13:05Speaker 3: to open the curtains. You know how that feels. But
- 13:07Speaker 3: you got out of that. You on the other side.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Now that is what has equipped you and prepared you
- 13:12Speaker 3: to be able to speak.
- 13:13Speaker 8: So I'm going to ask you a questions on new
- 13:15Speaker 8: people actually can start making money, but before that, since
- 13:19Speaker 8: there is like you said, you're gonna have to go
- 13:20Speaker 8: to school, but I feel like you still have to
- 13:22Speaker 8: hone your skills.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Absolutely, So what is like even for us to have
- 13:25Speaker 3: a podcast?
- 13:26Speaker 6: So what people don't know is that before we actually
- 13:29Speaker 6: had a podcast, top of the charts and all of that,
- 13:33Speaker 6: is I had a public access show. So I didn't
- 13:36Speaker 6: necessarily plan on doing this, But what I realized is
- 13:41Speaker 6: that I did the public access show for almost two
- 13:42Speaker 6: years and at the time, my friend Mike, he didn't.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Understand why I was doing.
- 13:47Speaker 6: He would be like, we should just do a YouTube
- 13:49Speaker 6: because we can get paid on YouTube, and like, if
- 13:51Speaker 6: you're going to do something, just start building a brand
- 13:53Speaker 6: right now, right, And I'm like, nah, a, it's not
- 13:56Speaker 6: time yet, and b I'm not ready yet, you know
- 13:58Speaker 6: what I'm saying. I got to actually home my skills,
- 14:01Speaker 6: and that was kind of like the minor leagues for me.
- 14:05Speaker 6: How I look at it like you know what I'm saying,
- 14:07Speaker 6: Where people are looking at it like who wants to
- 14:09Speaker 6: do a public access channel show? I never looked at
- 14:11Speaker 6: it like that. I looked at like way to build relationships,
- 14:13Speaker 6: in a way to just get more comfortable having conversations
- 14:16Speaker 6: in front of camera.
- 14:17Speaker 4: So that helped me.
- 14:18Speaker 6: So I say that to say, what are some ways
- 14:20Speaker 6: that even before somebody could even think about making money,
- 14:23Speaker 6: they could just get comfortable speaking publicly, Because, like you said,
- 14:26Speaker 6: it is a big fear and it is a skill
- 14:29Speaker 6: set too.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Right right. So I tell people all the time that
- 14:32Speaker 3: the best practice is like when you're really in front
- 14:34Speaker 3: of somebody. So I tell all my students, like, make
- 14:37Speaker 3: sure you get your heart right. Don't just do it
- 14:39Speaker 3: just for the bag. The bag is great. You got
- 14:41Speaker 3: to really have a heart for people. So I tell
- 14:42Speaker 3: all of them, get every single opportunity that will come
- 14:45Speaker 3: your way. You call it organization and institutions. I would
- 14:47Speaker 3: love to speak, I would love to volunteer my services.
- 14:49Speaker 3: I would love to add value. It's only a matter
- 14:51Speaker 3: of time before you start getting some of those engagements.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Can you speak and give a speech in front of
- 14:55Speaker 3: a mirror and do some stuff like that, Like, yes,
- 14:58Speaker 3: you can do all of that right, but when you're
- 14:59Speaker 3: ask in front of people like those free engagements, that's
- 15:02Speaker 3: your practice ground. And that's how it was for me.
- 15:05Speaker 3: This no shortcuts to greatness. Youve got to be willing
- 15:07Speaker 3: to put some work in, you know what I'm saying.
- 15:08Speaker 3: The more you do it, the more you get better
- 15:10Speaker 3: when it comes to your flow, your articulation, your delivery,
- 15:13Speaker 3: your style, your cadence, your posture, how you stand, how
- 15:16Speaker 3: you deliver it, and then you get it filmed and
- 15:19Speaker 3: you watch it and now you can see, okay, what
- 15:21Speaker 3: to do differently next time. So I tell people all
- 15:23Speaker 3: the time, like get in front of as many people,
- 15:25Speaker 3: take every single opportunity that comes your way, and watch
- 15:27Speaker 3: the more opportunities that come your way.
- 15:29Speaker 4: But that helps you perfect it.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I remember being in a speech class in college and
- 15:33Speaker 2: one of your every assignment, every speech that you have
- 15:35Speaker 2: to give, you have to get a VHS.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Which is like what they used to record on back in.
- 15:41Speaker 2: And you would have to record it, and then you'd
- 15:44Speaker 2: have to critique yourself, and then the teacher would have
- 15:46Speaker 2: his critique and y'all have to match and have a
- 15:48Speaker 2: meeting with that. Is that something that you practice or
- 15:52Speaker 2: was one of the techniques, like hey, let me go
- 15:54Speaker 2: watch some speakers take notes, like other things we can
- 15:57Speaker 2: do to help master and study their outside of just
- 16:01Speaker 2: you know, in the mirror and doing free engagement.
- 16:02Speaker 3: So until you get opportunities to speak for free, then
- 16:05Speaker 3: you got to study the craft. So that's when you
- 16:07Speaker 3: looking my stuff up. You look up Inkie Johnson, you
- 16:09Speaker 3: look up Eric Thomas, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 16:11Speaker 3: you look up Let's Brown.
- 16:12Speaker 4: You look up these iconic speakers, and you watch them.
- 16:15Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, you kind of get that
- 16:16Speaker 3: in your spirit, get that in the energy, you know
- 16:18Speaker 3: what I'm saying, to kind of see how they're moving, operating.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Then when you get your opportunity, you can have your
- 16:22Speaker 3: own voice. And it takes you a while some time
- 16:24Speaker 3: to find your own voice, your own style, but that
- 16:26Speaker 3: is key, you know what I'm saying. So I say
- 16:28Speaker 3: both and not either or depending on the opportunity. And
- 16:30Speaker 3: I can always tell the people that study the game
- 16:32Speaker 3: I got people with that. Now, I'd be like, bro,
- 16:34Speaker 3: I'll be watching all your videos.
- 16:35Speaker 4: I'm ready.
- 16:36Speaker 3: I'm like, all right, let's go. But it's hit different though,
- 16:39Speaker 3: when it's actually on you and you got to send
- 16:40Speaker 3: in front of the people.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Can you talk about that journey of finding your voice?
- 16:44Speaker 2: Like you could study someone And we were watching somebody
- 16:46Speaker 2: the other night and they were doing stand up and
- 16:49Speaker 2: they reminded me of another comment and so it's like,
- 16:51Speaker 2: all right, you can tell they've studied that one. What's
- 16:53Speaker 2: that journey like if you actually finding your own voice
- 16:56Speaker 2: because you're watching people, you're studying, but you want to
- 16:58Speaker 2: make it your unique self.
- 16:59Speaker 4: So what's that like? So that can be actually very risky.
- 17:04Speaker 9: Everyone has an opinion when it comes to the foods
- 17:06Speaker 9: we eat. This food's good for you, this one's bad

- 18:30Speaker 9: over there now.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Right, because you know, it's like you hang out with
- 18:36Speaker 3: your cousin a whole lot and you start you start
- 18:38Speaker 3: picking up jargon. You're not trying to, you just realized,
- 18:41Speaker 3: like man, or you might have somebody that might talk
- 18:43Speaker 3: and say something, pick up some lingers, like and you
- 18:45Speaker 3: got that from me, you got that for shot it.
- 18:46Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. It's like, that's weird, you
- 18:48Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. That's how it was with me
- 18:50Speaker 3: and guess who it was. Et Rob known Et for
- 18:54Speaker 3: over twenty six years, like he famied me.
- 18:56Speaker 4: Like he's my daughter's godfather.
- 18:58Speaker 3: And so because I watched him so much, like you
- 19:01Speaker 3: just pick up certain things from Big Bro not even
- 19:03Speaker 3: realizing it. So it took me to go through a
- 19:05Speaker 3: journey of saying, you know what, let me just try
- 19:07Speaker 3: to be intentional. But there was a few years I
- 19:09Speaker 3: was like, I'm not even watching Big Bro stuff no more.
- 19:11Speaker 3: You should have videos, no, you know what I'm saying,
- 19:13Speaker 3: because we so connected. But I to find my own
- 19:16Speaker 3: voice and have my own style of delivery. And so
- 19:18Speaker 3: everybody that's out here speaking, it's like you do want
- 19:20Speaker 3: to watch others, but then you want to look at
- 19:22Speaker 3: the MIRRORCA and say, Okay, how do I deliver it?
- 19:24Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 19:25Speaker 4: How is my flow? How is my style?
- 19:26Speaker 3: Like when I be speaking, I be very passionate, but
- 19:28Speaker 3: sometimes I be goofy, like but I'm done to earth,
- 19:30Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. But then I'm like, but yo,
- 19:33Speaker 3: let me not run from that.
- 19:34Speaker 4: That's me.
- 19:35Speaker 3: I can be very passionate and I gonna say it's
- 19:37Speaker 3: so funny. They get back very serious. You know what
- 19:38Speaker 3: I'm saying. People be like, bro he bipolar. Will look
- 19:40Speaker 3: it's working, you know what I'm saying, Like, that's who
- 19:42Speaker 3: I am. And so I feel like everybody has an
- 19:44Speaker 3: opportunity to kind of decide like which path they're gonna take.
- 19:47Speaker 3: And I think the more research you do, the more
- 19:49Speaker 3: you get closer, the more experience you have to really
- 19:51Speaker 3: find your voice.
- 19:52Speaker 7: I feel like there's also different types of speaking.
- 19:55Speaker 6: Yeah, absolutely, like some people speaking his motivation right, journey
- 20:03Speaker 6: right then whatever you get from.
- 20:05Speaker 7: And it's like we do public.
- 20:09Speaker 6: Education, right, So how important is that to find your
- 20:13Speaker 6: pocket of actually what you want to speak about?
- 20:17Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 20:17Speaker 3: And it really depends on your gifts and your level
- 20:21Speaker 3: of articulation and how you speaking deliverer. Because there are
- 20:24Speaker 3: some people that's like super passion, super motivational, and they
- 20:27Speaker 3: gonna get you fired up.
- 20:29Speaker 4: I know a lot of people, you know what I'm saying.
- 20:30Speaker 4: They ain't got that.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Passion, but they got that depth, they got that knowledge.
- 20:34Speaker 3: They're expert in their fields, so they can take the stays.
- 20:36Speaker 3: They got the clicker, and they're gonna teach you. You
- 20:38Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. They're gonna teach you whatever it
- 20:40Speaker 3: is that they will booked to teach you.
- 20:42Speaker 4: You know. But then you have those people that's like, yo,
- 20:44Speaker 4: I'm just gonna share with you my story.
- 20:45Speaker 3: I don't really have a whole bunch of passion and
- 20:47Speaker 3: I'm not about to break down no deeps, you know
- 20:49Speaker 3: what I'm saying, like data, but I'm about to share
- 20:52Speaker 3: with you my story and my journey and tell you
- 20:53Speaker 3: what you got to apply to do something different. So
- 20:55Speaker 3: there are those different areas, and so if people got
- 20:58Speaker 3: to ask themselves like am I naturally outgoing? Am I
- 21:01Speaker 3: naturally an extrovert? Like am I naturally passionate? You know
- 21:05Speaker 3: what I'm saying, do I go in the room and
- 21:06Speaker 3: there's never a stranger.
- 21:07Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Okay, well that's what area you could take. Then you
- 21:10Speaker 3: got some people that's like, Yo, I'm not really I'm
- 21:12Speaker 3: actually kind of low key. I'm kind of an inturer.
- 21:14Speaker 3: I'm kind of low key, but I got some knowledge.
- 21:16Speaker 3: When I take the stage, I can speak for that.
- 21:17Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, Like, people are going to
- 21:19Speaker 3: pay you for two things. They're gonna pay you for
- 21:22Speaker 3: the knowledge that you have and the problem you can solve.
- 21:25Speaker 3: And then there's another tier of payment when you get
- 21:27Speaker 3: to like celebrity icon status.
- 21:31Speaker 4: I was told years ago, like they.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Gonna pay you match twenty five hundred for like knowledge.
- 21:36Speaker 3: At some point though, it's like they get to a
- 21:38Speaker 3: point it's like I gotta have you and I'm wanting
- 21:40Speaker 3: to pay you whatever. So the goal is get to
- 21:42Speaker 3: a point you always got that passion, you already got
- 21:44Speaker 3: that insight, that knowledge. Now how do you build up
- 21:46Speaker 3: that brand? You know what I'm saying, to get to
- 21:48Speaker 3: a point where they wanted to pay whatever to get
- 21:50Speaker 3: you there?
- 21:50Speaker 6: Would you recommend that everybody write a book before they
- 21:53Speaker 6: want to start public speaking.
- 21:55Speaker 3: No, No, but books do help because it's like a resume. Yeah, yeah,
- 21:59Speaker 3: books do help, you know what I'm saying. But I
- 22:00Speaker 3: know people who are killing it right now that don't
- 22:02Speaker 3: have a book. You know what I'm saying. I know
- 22:04Speaker 3: somebody that's did five hundred thousand dollars that I work
- 22:06Speaker 3: with that only has a children's book. It's not even
- 22:08Speaker 3: the personal story. But books do help because there is
- 22:11Speaker 3: another level of credibility, you know what I'm saying. But nowadays,
- 22:14Speaker 3: you know, it's like it's kind.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Of it's easier now to become an author.
- 22:18Speaker 3: You know, it's not as challenging as it was ten, fifteen,
- 22:20Speaker 3: twenty years ago because you can kind of be like
- 22:22Speaker 3: a self published you know what I'm saying. Person. But
- 22:24Speaker 3: it does help if you have a book and you
- 22:26Speaker 3: can pull your story out of it.
- 22:28Speaker 4: But I have people do vice versa.
- 22:30Speaker 3: I got people that have books author and there are
- 22:32Speaker 3: authors who say, man, I'm gonna take my story and
- 22:34Speaker 3: turn it into a speech. And I have people who
- 22:36Speaker 3: have amazing stories that rock the stage and say I'm
- 22:38Speaker 3: gonna take this now and turn this into a book.
- 22:40Speaker 3: The sweet spot is when you have both because then
- 22:41Speaker 3: when you get done with the gig, you can do
- 22:43Speaker 3: a book signing. Yeah, that's all great. Yeah, try.
- 22:47Speaker 2: So what's the process of preparing for that speech? Maybe
- 22:51Speaker 2: it's your first one. I mean you said some key points.
- 22:53Speaker 2: You said focus on tone, posture, delivery. What are those
- 22:57Speaker 2: other keys that you want to focus on? In what
- 22:59Speaker 2: type of time it should be dedicated to it? Like
- 23:01Speaker 2: when you're U preparing for people, well, in the early stages,
- 23:04Speaker 2: not now, but in the early stages.
- 23:05Speaker 4: What was that type of preparation for you?
- 23:07Speaker 3: Yeah, so I tell everybody you want to have three
- 23:10Speaker 3: main elements. You want to have an intro and then
- 23:12Speaker 3: the body of the speech and more of my intros,
- 23:14Speaker 3: I pay homage and respect, thank you for having me,
- 23:17Speaker 3: could have brought somebody else here, and I thank you
- 23:18Speaker 3: for allowing me to be the presenter.
- 23:20Speaker 4: I always do that.
- 23:21Speaker 3: And then you give your story and key points, story
- 23:24Speaker 3: and key points, story and key points throughout your whole presentation.
- 23:27Speaker 3: That's after you've done the research. That's after you've talked
- 23:29Speaker 3: to the people. You know who's in the audience, you
- 23:31Speaker 3: know their pain points, you know what they're struggling with.
- 23:33Speaker 3: You get all the information. Now it's like, okay, now
- 23:35Speaker 3: I'm gonna give you straight game. I'm gonna give you
- 23:37Speaker 3: straight insight. But I'm a parent with my story. So
- 23:40Speaker 3: whenever I'm speaking for a school and university of corporate game,
- 23:43Speaker 3: like whenever I say the stage, I'm sharing bits and
- 23:45Speaker 3: piece of my story. But when I know who's in
- 23:47Speaker 3: the audience, now I know what parts of my story
- 23:49Speaker 3: will connect with you. There are some audience in some
- 23:51Speaker 3: stages I standing on, I'm not even talk about what
- 23:53Speaker 3: I went through when I was young because they own
- 23:54Speaker 3: some adult stuff. I talked about what I'm through as adult.
- 23:57Speaker 3: I'm talking about it when I went through in business.
- 23:58Speaker 3: I'm talking about what I went throughing marriage because that's like, okay,
- 24:01Speaker 3: I can relate. I can connect with that. And so
- 24:03Speaker 3: and then you have an outrow. You have a closing,
- 24:05Speaker 3: and so I have like a signature closing I use
- 24:07Speaker 3: for young people. You know what I'm saying. That kills
- 24:10Speaker 3: it every single time. And then so I tell people
- 24:13Speaker 3: to always have some pipper clothes. It might be a
- 24:14Speaker 3: call and response or it might be like a mantra
- 24:17Speaker 3: something you create. But always have a real strong close
- 24:20Speaker 3: so you can have that powerful dropping mic moment.
- 24:22Speaker 6: How important is it get the crowd engaged, whether it
- 24:25Speaker 6: be a joke, laughter or like you know, hey, this side,
- 24:29Speaker 6: come on, Like you have people do that a lot,
- 24:31Speaker 6: like before they start, Like how important is it to
- 24:34Speaker 6: engage the audience throughout the compensation?
- 24:38Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 24:38Speaker 3: I think for that, I think off the rip it's
- 24:40Speaker 3: important because they say that if you get the people
- 24:42Speaker 3: to laugh, like you know, you got them. So if
- 24:44Speaker 3: you can have some fun to say, you know what
- 24:46Speaker 3: I'm saying at the very beginning, you know what I'm
- 24:48Speaker 3: saying to get them.
- 24:49Speaker 4: To laugh, like, that's a win.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a win. And then there are some people
- 24:53Speaker 3: like I remember the last event, uh and that's fest
- 24:56Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, Like, well, I seen how
- 24:57Speaker 3: Trap took the stage. He got the crowd hype on
- 24:59Speaker 3: this side, got them hype on that side. You feed
- 25:01Speaker 3: off of that energy. But I've been in some events
- 25:03Speaker 3: it's like come on, come on, stand up on your feet,
- 25:06Speaker 3: talk to you. How you feeling, how you feelings?
- 25:09Speaker 4: Who's the guy right?
- 25:11Speaker 3: Right?
- 25:12Speaker 6: So I'm like, all right, they want to smoke, but
- 25:14Speaker 6: even that, that's you gotta fight through that though.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Too.
- 25:17Speaker 10: It's like it's like an artist performing.
- 25:19Speaker 6: And if they're not vibing with you. You can't just
- 25:21Speaker 6: leave the stage. You keep going. You gotta keep going.
- 25:24Speaker 6: So what's the first steps to get a paid gig.
- 25:28Speaker 3: I have people that's getting paid to speak that don't
- 25:30Speaker 3: even have websites yet. I'm big on websites. You gonna Wix,
- 25:33Speaker 3: square space, put you get a nice, clean website. Your
- 25:36Speaker 3: message needs to be clear, what you stand for, the
- 25:39Speaker 3: problems you can solve needs to be clear.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Right.
- 25:41Speaker 3: High quality picture is the best you can nowadays. You
- 25:43Speaker 3: ain't got no excuse. You have a photographer, cool, your cousin,
- 25:46Speaker 3: somebody got an iPhone thirteen pro you know what I'm saying, Like,
- 25:49Speaker 3: get you some decent pictures, high quality pictures, clear, that's good.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Even if you don't have that, you can get you
- 25:54Speaker 3: a nice ePK, you know what I'm saying. You can
- 25:56Speaker 3: go to a fib and have somebody to put together
- 25:58Speaker 3: ePK that has your bio bullet points at what you
- 26:01Speaker 3: talk about. These are the type of things that you
- 26:03Speaker 3: need to begin to get these opportunities. And then you
- 26:05Speaker 3: go to the different places that are going to book
- 26:07Speaker 3: you to speak, whether it's a corporation or it's a university,
- 26:10Speaker 3: or it's a church or a school and you show up.
- 26:12Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, you drop. I just talked
- 26:14Speaker 3: to one of my guys. I want to live with
- 26:15Speaker 3: my guy Nate. The other night, my man literally followed
- 26:17Speaker 3: the play. He took some donuts, a dozen donuts for
- 26:20Speaker 3: my Krispy Kreme or something, went there with his ePK,
- 26:23Speaker 3: dropped it off at his local school in his neighborhood,
- 26:25Speaker 3: and was like, hey, I'm from here, I live here.
- 26:27Speaker 3: I'm also a motivational speaker. If I can never help
- 26:30Speaker 3: you guys.
- 26:30Speaker 4: Out of principle, it was like, oh my gosh, we.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Were just meeting. We need to speaker. This is amazing.
- 26:33Speaker 3: I may not getting a gig and they're trying to
- 26:37Speaker 3: press kid that yeah, yep, just like one sheet, you know,
- 26:40Speaker 3: and they might even have those hyperlinks. It might even
- 26:42Speaker 3: have it. It might just literally just be a nice
- 26:44Speaker 3: little PDF one sheet. But that stuff works because now
- 26:47Speaker 3: it's like yo, and you're not saying, hey, here's some donuts,
- 26:50Speaker 3: here's my information. Can you book me to speak? Now,
- 26:52Speaker 3: it's like, hey, this is what I do. I'm a
- 26:54Speaker 3: national motivation speaker. We got to speaker life. You know
- 26:56Speaker 3: what I'm saying, I'm a national motivation speaker, Like, what
- 26:58Speaker 3: can I do if you ever need me? I'm here
- 27:00Speaker 3: to serve your school and add value, serve my community
- 27:03Speaker 3: and just let it go.
- 27:03Speaker 4: Just like that. That's the start. That's one thing when
- 27:06Speaker 4: we start.
- 27:06Speaker 2: We're doing free gigs, right or or yeah, or we're
- 27:10Speaker 2: doing paid gigs. And if we are, if we're getting
- 27:12Speaker 2: paid out the gate, like, how do we know what
- 27:14Speaker 2: the charge or is it what the actual person is
- 27:17Speaker 2: offering for the speech itself.
- 27:19Speaker 4: I'm gonna give a hack.
- 27:20Speaker 3: So when you first put if you have a website,
- 27:23Speaker 3: you put together your website, you want to know their name,
- 27:25Speaker 3: their address, not their address, their name, their email, their number,
- 27:28Speaker 3: point of contact, estimated budget the speaker. That's I knew
- 27:33Speaker 3: I was already doing good. I was making six figures
- 27:35Speaker 3: in your speaking. When I put estimated budget speaker, it's
- 27:39Speaker 3: almost like I instantly became a millionaire.
- 27:41Speaker 4: So that's that's on the booking form on your webs.
- 27:44Speaker 7: Few people.
- 27:46Speaker 10: From college.
- 27:49Speaker 8: So instead of that's a common instead of asking, instead
- 27:53Speaker 8: of telling somebody how.
- 27:54Speaker 3: About you charge? Yeah, you say what's your budget? What's
- 27:57Speaker 3: your budget? What did you put aside for a speaker?
- 27:59Speaker 3: And if it's low. You said, okay, well my starting's
- 28:02Speaker 3: twenty five hundred. Okay, well my starting RADI is five
- 28:05Speaker 3: thousand dollars, you know, and then you wait, that's stilond.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Pause can be a killer, you know what I'm saying.
- 28:10Speaker 3: But it's like both parties is waiting to see who
- 28:11Speaker 3: won't fold. And sometimes they might say, hey, that's that's cool.
- 28:14Speaker 4: I can work with it.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Sometimes they might say I just don't have it. Well,
- 28:18Speaker 3: then you you still go ahead and you do what
- 28:19Speaker 3: you gotta do, especially when you first start. You know
- 28:21Speaker 3: what I'm saying, But that's what you do.
- 28:23Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. And then if you don't.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Have a website just yet and people want a bookie
- 28:26Speaker 3: to speak, you asked them, okay, yeah, I'm available these days.
- 28:28Speaker 3: I think I can work that out. What's your budget
- 28:30Speaker 3: for a speaker? You let them tell you that I
- 28:33Speaker 3: got my I got my first gig. Somebody book they
- 28:36Speaker 3: put in the estmate budget peaker. They put two zero
- 28:39Speaker 3: zero zero zero and they ain't put a comment anywhere.
- 28:42Speaker 3: So my wife was like, we got another another gig,
- 28:45Speaker 3: I'll reach out this before we had Avenue, you know
- 28:47Speaker 3: who handles my traveling booking and so. So I was like, hey, boot,
- 28:50Speaker 3: don't play. She was like, it's a typo. They put
- 28:52Speaker 3: too many zeros. I was like, how you know, maybe
- 28:54Speaker 3: we broke through. We broke through boo. She got on
- 28:57Speaker 3: the phone with them and they were She's like, yep, absolutely, yep,
- 29:00Speaker 3: U's twenty thousand dollars. Can you guys work with that?
- 29:02Speaker 3: I said, okay, that's when we are on the something
- 29:04Speaker 3: now you know what I'm saying. And so, but we
- 29:06Speaker 3: if we had we never put that, they'd been like, Jeremy,
- 29:09Speaker 3: you know how much is Y'll have been like seventy
- 29:11Speaker 3: five hundred. But they told me they got twenty thousand.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Does that work with your budget? I was like, we
- 29:15Speaker 3: can work with that.
- 29:16Speaker 6: So is it important for to have a niche of
- 29:20Speaker 6: Some people only focus on colleges, some people focus on
- 29:24Speaker 6: high schools, some people focus only on corporate and they
- 29:28Speaker 6: each have different budgets.
- 29:29Speaker 4: With different things.
- 29:31Speaker 7: You say, it's important to have a niche focused on
- 29:34Speaker 7: that or do it?
- 29:35Speaker 3: Ever?
- 29:35Speaker 7: Try to do everything?
- 29:37Speaker 3: So I tell people if they don't have if they're
- 29:39Speaker 3: not clear about their mission, the message and their audience.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Because there are some people that's like man, I can
- 29:44Speaker 3: speak for schools. I could speak for colleges and I
- 29:47Speaker 3: could do corporate. You know what I'm saying, I could
- 29:49Speaker 3: do other organizations. I'm not sure where my voice. I
- 29:51Speaker 3: tell them to date around before you marry this occupation
- 29:55Speaker 3: of this field, Like date a round. You know what
- 29:57Speaker 3: I'm saying, Like date around with a few different you
- 29:59Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, areas and see if you look
- 30:02Speaker 3: up in a year and you had three corporate engagements,
- 30:05Speaker 3: but twelve schools, Well, now you know that's where the
- 30:08Speaker 3: bigger demand is. Like, don't let that, don't let that
- 30:11Speaker 3: go to money. There was a time in my life
- 30:13Speaker 3: when I was I was speaking to eat. I don't
- 30:15Speaker 3: speak to eat no more. I speak to feed. Now
- 30:18Speaker 3: I'm not gonna let you know. I'm not gonna let
- 30:20Speaker 3: the money. You know what I'm saying, movement. You know
- 30:22Speaker 3: what I'm saying, This the mission. I'm not gonna let
- 30:24Speaker 3: the profits motivate me. You know what I'm saying. It's
- 30:26Speaker 3: more so the purpose. And so I tell people all
- 30:28Speaker 3: the time to figure it out. Now. When I first started,
- 30:31Speaker 3: but I was doing everything I wanted to eat. I
- 30:33Speaker 3: saw eat. I was like, yo, eat, bro, you doing
- 30:35Speaker 3: corporate you're also a pastor, and you in schools, university,
- 30:38Speaker 3: sports teams. I'm trying to do it all. And he
- 30:40Speaker 3: told me, he was like, yeah, but if you go
- 30:41Speaker 3: to my website, it's one main thing I'm pushing. It's
- 30:44Speaker 3: one main thing i'm advocating for. I'm just getting these
- 30:46Speaker 3: other things. Your gifts will make room for you. He
- 30:48Speaker 3: was like, you got to clean it up. So that's
- 30:50Speaker 3: when I was just like, man, okay, because I had
- 30:52Speaker 3: a tab that said corporate, I had a tab that
- 30:54Speaker 3: said churches and a tab that said schools.
- 30:56Speaker 4: So whatever you wanted, I'm your guy. I got whatever
- 30:58Speaker 4: you need. You know what I'm saying.
- 31:00Speaker 3: But I was like a handyman.
- 31:02Speaker 4: He was like, YO, clean it up.
- 31:03Speaker 3: And so I was like, I took out corporate that
- 31:05Speaker 3: don't come as easy, and it's like our churches and schools.
- 31:07Speaker 3: And I realized, like I could reach way more people
- 31:10Speaker 3: in the school space folks in the church either if
- 31:12Speaker 3: I travel and speaking, I'm speaker when I leave pastor
- 31:15Speaker 3: as still there ain't nobody coming to these schools like that.
- 31:18Speaker 3: So I went all in with.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Schools, thinking schools didn't really have a budget.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Thinking I literally thought, man, I ain't gonna make the
- 31:24Speaker 3: money I could have made in corporate. But it's not
- 31:27Speaker 3: about the money. It's about these kids, about the sacrifice
- 31:29Speaker 3: making an impact. I was wrong though high schools or college.
- 31:34Speaker 3: I do high schools, middle schools, and universities.
- 31:37Speaker 2: So schools are unique because once you do a great job,
- 31:42Speaker 2: they booked you again, and sometimes they might have you
- 31:46Speaker 2: as a quarterly speaker. So how does that work? You
- 31:48Speaker 2: just you have they have the budget, and is the
- 31:50Speaker 2: budget allocated for the year or is it for each speech?
- 31:53Speaker 4: How does that work?
- 31:54Speaker 3: Do you like have a long time contracts?
- 31:55Speaker 4: Every school is different.
- 31:56Speaker 3: You got something that want to put me on retainer,
- 31:58Speaker 3: you got some in site, I just got one budget
- 32:00Speaker 3: for this right here. Or if you're with the relationships,
- 32:02Speaker 3: I'm gona get you.
- 32:02Speaker 4: I'm gonna get your I'm gonna give our learners of
- 32:04Speaker 4: the sauce on that.
- 32:05Speaker 3: If you build the relationships, they'll start calling you saying
- 32:08Speaker 3: I got opportunities. I got a principal that hit me
- 32:11Speaker 3: a few months ago. Now they hit everything and say, Evan,
- 32:13Speaker 3: I got five thousand dollars. EV's like, Jeremy, I really
- 32:16Speaker 3: trying right now. Girl, Just have him do a little
- 32:18Speaker 3: twenty minute video encouraging my teachers. I'm gonna mai y'all
- 32:20Speaker 3: to check. She just saw she had leftover budget, but
- 32:24Speaker 3: she is like, y'all my people, So I want you
- 32:27Speaker 3: to get this before I spend it with anybody else.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Let me give y'all a sauce on that, right, here's
- 32:31Speaker 3: the sauce on that. So every single time I have
- 32:33Speaker 3: a speaking I'm engagement before I get there, I want
- 32:36Speaker 3: to have a conversation. I want to know the things
- 32:38Speaker 3: we talked about. What are your pain points, what are
- 32:39Speaker 3: you struggling with? Who's in the audience? You know what
- 32:41Speaker 3: I'm saying, like, like, what are you all looking? What's
- 32:43Speaker 3: the theme for the event? I want to understand everything
- 32:45Speaker 3: so I can add the most value After that ten
- 32:47Speaker 3: to fifteen minute conversation, they really appreciate that. They're like yo,
- 32:50Speaker 3: most because most people are not doing that. Most people
- 32:52Speaker 3: just like, here's my story. Then when I show up,
- 32:54Speaker 3: I show out, I lose my mind. I give them
- 32:56Speaker 3: my all, and then I spend thirty minutes to an
- 32:58Speaker 3: hour afterwards taking picture, taking selfies, talking with people. They
- 33:02Speaker 3: appreciate that connection. Then not do a follow up call,
- 33:05Speaker 3: and I'm like Hey, is there anything I could have
- 33:07Speaker 3: did differently? Did I meet your expectations or did I
- 33:10Speaker 3: exceed your expectations? That's another touch point. Ain't nobody doing that?
- 33:13Speaker 3: Then I send them a gift. I'll take one percent
- 33:16Speaker 3: of the budget. So if it's a small game, it's
- 33:19Speaker 3: like maybe ten grand, that's one hundred dollars, I'll send
- 33:21Speaker 3: you a big old edible arrangement or something from a
- 33:24Speaker 3: local bakery with a card that says, we hope these
- 33:27Speaker 3: treats are as sweet as Jeremy's presentation. You know what
- 33:30Speaker 3: I'm saying. That they laugh, but now they're eating. And
- 33:32Speaker 3: it's a science. If I speak on Tuesday, I don't
- 33:35Speaker 3: do anything on Wednesday. I know everybody the organization is
- 33:37Speaker 3: talking on Wednesday. Then I had the gift to ride
- 33:40Speaker 3: on Thursday, and that, you know what I'm saying, that's
- 33:42Speaker 3: another level of class, Like most people aren't expecting that.
- 33:44Speaker 3: And then after I send the gift that I've had
- 33:46Speaker 3: all those calls, then I'm gonna send them a holiday
- 33:48Speaker 3: card from my family, not from the Jeremy Anderson group,
- 33:51Speaker 3: not from the company, because that's professional. After you spend
- 33:55Speaker 3: with me, I want it to be personal. You want
- 33:57Speaker 3: to see my wife, you gonna see my two kids.
- 33:59Speaker 4: Seasons green means you know what I'm saying, Happy New Year.
- 34:02Speaker 3: That's that's personal there that right there. Man, They let
- 34:06Speaker 3: me tell you something. I kind of view it the
- 34:08Speaker 3: way I view almost like my life.
- 34:09Speaker 4: You ain't gonna follow another lover like me when it
- 34:11Speaker 4: comes to a speaker. I'm like, you ain't gonna follow another.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Speaker like me, because not only am I gonna kill
- 34:15Speaker 3: the stage, I'm gonna do these extra things that nobody
- 34:17Speaker 3: else is doing. So when you do have a budget, yo,
- 34:19Speaker 3: you're about to come back to me.
- 34:21Speaker 2: And you're gonna live on my fridge for the Holliday season,
- 34:25Speaker 2: no doubt in fact.
- 34:27Speaker 6: So I don't know if you used to say, but
- 34:29Speaker 6: Lenny went to college professors. Lenny shot out to them
- 34:32Speaker 6: and they go around different college and they tell us
- 34:34Speaker 6: about this website where it was like kind of like
- 34:36Speaker 6: I guess, like an open audition where like schools like
- 34:38Speaker 6: you can go and you familiar with that.
- 34:42Speaker 7: Okay, yeah, they were saying, I forget the name, I'm
- 34:44Speaker 7: trying to think.
- 34:44Speaker 6: It was, but short speaking reading out to colleges, are
- 34:48Speaker 6: there any methods that you would recommend I know, obviously
- 34:50Speaker 6: are you like student union leadership going to student union leadership,
- 34:55Speaker 6: But like are there different like conventions where like, you know,
- 34:58Speaker 6: a bunch of colleges may be present and you can
- 35:00Speaker 6: kind of just like pitch to multiple colleges as opposed
- 35:03Speaker 6: to just one off.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Yeah, there are those. I've been blessed to not even
- 35:07Speaker 3: have to do that. They just come into me now.
- 35:10Speaker 3: But there are these things called trio. You know what
- 35:13Speaker 3: I'm saying.
- 35:13Speaker 4: Trio.
- 35:14Speaker 3: So basically the government it's just like, yo, we realize
- 35:16Speaker 3: that with all of these state funded and major state
- 35:20Speaker 3: and colleges universities that eighty percent of the first generation
- 35:24Speaker 3: college students and minority students, eighty percent of them'm not
- 35:27Speaker 3: going to be successful. So every state college university any
- 35:31Speaker 3: HBCUs have this these trio programs where they bring in
- 35:35Speaker 3: speakers and they bring in programs to ensure that their
- 35:39Speaker 3: students are more successful.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Trio is called Trio yep, and it's called upward Bound.
- 35:45Speaker 3: It's like a whole bunch of different programs under the trio.
- 35:48Speaker 4: It's like Trio Upper Brown, Fresh.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Start, like all these different programs. But most people don't
- 35:52Speaker 3: realize that and it's not even because the universities just
- 35:56Speaker 3: want to make sure the students are successful. It ain't
- 35:58Speaker 3: even really that they realize. Man, the more successful these
- 36:01Speaker 3: kids are, the more they stay at our school, the
- 36:02Speaker 3: more money leave money, money, money. So now we take
- 36:05Speaker 3: the money from the government, and it's like, yo, if
- 36:07Speaker 3: you're going to give it to these institutions, bring me in,
- 36:09Speaker 3: Let me be the speaker, let me speak life into
- 36:11Speaker 3: these students. Make sure they're showing up the class and
- 36:14Speaker 3: handling their business. And then they write to check to us.
- 36:16Speaker 3: And that right there is unlimited. I got shot on
- 36:18Speaker 3: the Tasha Shabab man. She just got a thirty five
- 36:21Speaker 3: thousand dollars contract. She's killing it and she's primarily Trio
- 36:24Speaker 3: and she ain't really left the state of Ohio. I'm
- 36:26Speaker 3: sitting here thinking like you about to do six figures
- 36:28Speaker 3: and you ain't got to lead a state. Like it's possible.
- 36:31Speaker 3: These resources are out there. People just really don't know
- 36:33Speaker 3: how to tap into it. But that's the whole That
- 36:35Speaker 3: university is a whole other way. And now my name
- 36:37Speaker 3: is out there so strong, they just kind of hit
- 36:39Speaker 3: me and it just is what works with my schedule?
- 36:41Speaker 2: Is it the same process for corporate, Like you did
- 36:44Speaker 2: you reach out or you got to a point where
- 36:45Speaker 2: like corporate so looking at you, like we need that
- 36:48Speaker 2: guy we have to have. We've heard of him, somebody's
- 36:50Speaker 2: referred the more was it like I'm pitching to a
- 36:53Speaker 2: corporate organization more salts.
- 36:55Speaker 3: My first corporate gig was a referral one of my
- 36:59Speaker 3: homeboys shout out to the Wan. He referred me to someone.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Let me say this my first big corporate gig where
- 37:05Speaker 3: they really had a real big check. And I went
- 37:07Speaker 3: there and I had my team with me. We filmed it,
- 37:10Speaker 3: we documented it, we took testimonials, took off from there.
- 37:13Speaker 4: So now when anybody.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Else's looking for me, just be corporate, they see that
- 37:16Speaker 3: one video and they see all these other different people
- 37:19Speaker 3: and half of them don't look like me saying Jeremy
- 37:22Speaker 3: was amazing. Best speech we had in years. We're so motivated,
- 37:25Speaker 3: ourselves are going through the roof. I'm thinking, like, man,
- 37:27Speaker 3: you couldn't pay them to give repair of testimonial, you know.
- 37:29Speaker 4: What I'm saying.
- 37:30Speaker 3: So that's one thing that you can do is really
- 37:33Speaker 3: documenting when you get these opportunities. But in that corporate
- 37:36Speaker 3: spaces wide open Spot tell people all the time it's
- 37:38Speaker 3: really about relationships. The better relationships you could build with them,
- 37:42Speaker 3: the better. And we have those relationships, they'll give you referrals.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Every single speaking engagement I had back in the day,
- 37:47Speaker 3: I used to say, do you mind referring me to
- 37:49Speaker 3: three other people? No one is gonna say no unless
- 37:52Speaker 3: you was just like trash, you know what I'm saying.
- 37:54Speaker 3: But most people are gonna say absolutely, I don't mind
- 37:56Speaker 3: referring you. And then they make that recommendation. I'm like, yo,
- 37:59Speaker 3: can you send them an email and just blind copy
- 38:01Speaker 3: me so I know what's done, Like that's the way,
- 38:04Speaker 3: and that's what we do. And then those it kind
- 38:06Speaker 3: of becomes like a snowball effect. So your business pretty
- 38:09Speaker 3: much built on for Froze, I would say, I would
- 38:12Speaker 3: say probably forty percent people still finding me. That's a
- 38:14Speaker 3: whole nother hack YouTube broh. I let me tell you something.
- 38:18Speaker 3: It's probably been nine years as I had to go
- 38:21Speaker 3: to a school to somebody and say, hey, I would
- 38:22Speaker 3: love for the opportunity to speak. I ain't did that
- 38:24Speaker 3: in a long time, you know what I'm saying. I
- 38:26Speaker 3: had at one point I had to start there to
- 38:28Speaker 3: let them know I hear, because ain't nobody else gonna
- 38:30Speaker 3: advocate for me? You know what I'm saying. I ain't
- 38:32Speaker 3: have no marketing firm, Like I gotta let them know
- 38:34Speaker 3: I exist. I felt like I was the best cape
- 38:36Speaker 3: secret in that space. So I feel like all the
- 38:38Speaker 3: pain I went through, they need to know that I
- 38:40Speaker 3: have something to share.
- 38:41Speaker 6: So your marketing, well, you say your marketing today consists
- 38:44Speaker 6: of social media.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Yeah, but not even in the speaking space. I don't
- 38:50Speaker 3: even market to speaking business no more.
- 38:52Speaker 7: It's just autopile.
- 38:53Speaker 3: I'm not ain't trying to brag brouh. Ain't nobody else
- 38:55Speaker 3: doing the work I'm doing the school space humbly, like respectfully,
- 38:58Speaker 3: Like there's nobody else's speak in schools like I am.
- 39:01Speaker 3: There's nobody else that has the volume. It's nobody else.
- 39:04Speaker 3: I'm talking about like two hundred thousand dollars a month.
- 39:07Speaker 2: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.
- 39:10Speaker 2: A lot of people think podcasts about work are boring,
- 39:13Speaker 2: and sure they definitely can be. But understanding of professionals
- 39:17Speaker 2: routine shows us how they achieve their success little by little,
- 39:20Speaker 2: day after day. It's like banking with P and C Bank,
- 39:24Speaker 2: It might seem boring to save, plan and make calculated
- 39:27Speaker 2: decisions with your bank, but keeping your money boring is
- 39:30Speaker 2: what helps you live or more happily fulfilled life. P
- 39:34Speaker 2: and C Bank Brilliantly Boring since eighteen sixty five. Brilliantly

- 39:50Speaker 3: Ernest What's up?
- 39:51Speaker 2: You ever walk into a small business and everything just
- 39:54Speaker 2: works like the checkout is fast, or seats are digital,
- 39:57Speaker 2: tipping is a breeze, and yet out the door before
- 40:00Speaker 2: the line even builds odds are they're using Square. We

- 41:56Speaker 3: Somebody will second demand what I'm demanding and be in
- 41:59Speaker 3: every type of school Catholic school, rural school in Wisconsin,
- 42:03Speaker 3: inner city, Detroit, Chicago, Miami. You know what I'm saying,
- 42:07Speaker 3: Like every type of school, private school, like every type.
- 42:09Speaker 4: Of school you can think of. I've been there.
- 42:11Speaker 7: What was your key to really breaking down at the
- 42:13Speaker 7: doors for schools?
- 42:14Speaker 3: YouTube?
- 42:15Speaker 7: YouTube, like videos on YouTube, videos.
- 42:18Speaker 4: On YouTube, your past feachers?
- 42:19Speaker 3: Yeah, like now interviews are just you speaking? Like the
- 42:24Speaker 3: speaking I literally my first for speaking engagements. I had
- 42:28Speaker 3: my guys, some of my homies, Javin. They would film
- 42:31Speaker 3: me and capture footage, Capture me walking into the school,
- 42:34Speaker 3: capture some testimonials, put together a cool little vibe, put
- 42:38Speaker 3: it on YouTube. Then you gotta know the task. You
- 42:40Speaker 3: got another description. You gotta know, you know all those
- 42:42Speaker 3: different things because people are looking for it. I don't
- 42:45Speaker 3: create video. I create videos for students and young people,
- 42:48Speaker 3: but I don't create it for them because they ain't
- 42:50Speaker 3: looking for it. Young people ain't knowing that. Young people
- 42:53Speaker 3: ain't on let me find some motivation, but their teachers
- 42:55Speaker 3: are teachers looking for motivation all day long.
- 42:58Speaker 4: And at the end of every single one.
- 42:59Speaker 3: Of my video, when the video ends, it's all black.
- 43:02Speaker 3: The music is still flowing with my website Jeremy Anderson
- 43:05Speaker 3: dot org.
- 43:06Speaker 4: That's the music slowly fades out.
- 43:08Speaker 3: And so now teachers are like, email, Oh my god,
- 43:10Speaker 3: I couldn't get my kids to calm down and stop
- 43:12Speaker 3: being rounding.
- 43:13Speaker 4: I played your video.
- 43:14Speaker 3: They connected, I'm gonna talk to my principal and I'm
- 43:16Speaker 3: just like that.
- 43:17Speaker 4: And I was really just dropping these videos. I'm not
- 43:19Speaker 4: even really smart like that.
- 43:20Speaker 3: I was really just putting these videos out there because
- 43:22Speaker 3: I really wanted to make an impact. I really wanted,
- 43:25Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, to share a message.
- 43:27Speaker 4: With these kids.
- 43:28Speaker 3: But I realized, like, yo, I'm getting more engagements. Where'd
- 43:31Speaker 3: you find it? YouTube? YouTube? YouTube, So I started leaning in.
- 43:34Speaker 3: But I got so much content out there now I
- 43:36Speaker 3: hadn't even I probably dropped three maybe motivational videos last year,
- 43:40Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
- 43:40Speaker 6: So you look going to school the school content, putting
- 43:46Speaker 6: it on YouTube, so more schools could be interested.
- 43:48Speaker 3: Absolutely just like that. It's like they get a taste
- 43:51Speaker 3: of it because they could come to a website and
- 43:53Speaker 3: you can have great pictures, but they still might be like,
- 43:56Speaker 3: but how do you speak? How do you flow? Like?
- 43:57Speaker 3: What's your stories about? But when they see me speed,
- 44:00Speaker 3: they see me flow, they see you know what I'm saying.
- 44:02Speaker 3: Seven hundred black kids quiet in the auditorium, they're like, yo,
- 44:05Speaker 3: or if he can get them quiet like then to
- 44:07Speaker 3: connect with their kids and he can connect with my.
- 44:09Speaker 8: It's niche too, because most people awa assume doing public
- 44:12Speaker 8: speak inches broad range public speaking, just motivational stuff.
- 44:16Speaker 10: But you chose YouTube's the biggest platform, and to niche it.
- 44:19Speaker 8: Down into schools, so teachers or administrators where they're looking
- 44:24Speaker 8: for any type of topic keyword to type on YouTube
- 44:28Speaker 8: or speeches, and your pop off Highland algorithm. Right, assuming,
- 44:32Speaker 8: especially at that time, they probably wasn't a lot of
- 44:34Speaker 8: people doing that just in the school, in the space.
- 44:38Speaker 3: And I'm gonna give one more hat, right, my guys.
- 44:43Speaker 3: When I would drop these videos, I would put stupid
- 44:46Speaker 3: stuff like Jeremy Anderson speaks at Troy High School, not
- 44:50Speaker 3: realizing people ain't looking for that. I got this video
- 44:53Speaker 3: for three months, they got two hundred views. I changed
- 44:56Speaker 3: that sucker to top motivational youth speaker in a week.
- 45:01Speaker 4: A thousand views.
- 45:02Speaker 3: They'll figure out the name after they watch it.
- 45:04Speaker 4: They figured out later.
- 45:05Speaker 3: I put out thinking what are teachers looking for? What
- 45:08Speaker 3: are people looking for? They're looking at right right, right,
- 45:12Speaker 3: best speak, best assembly speaker, high school, middle school. You
- 45:16Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, assembly speaker. You know what I'm saying,
- 45:18Speaker 3: like guest speaker for best a top speaker, best speaker,
- 45:21Speaker 3: like I used that stuff, but just kept it very
- 45:23Speaker 3: generic what they were typing in, and I just take
- 45:26Speaker 3: I probably got a dozen videos right now that got
- 45:27Speaker 3: the same dog on tag, but different thumbnails.
- 45:30Speaker 4: That's another thing.
- 45:31Speaker 3: The thumbnail might have a picture of me that says, no,
- 45:33Speaker 3: you're worth or it might have a picture of me
- 45:36Speaker 3: that says a video every student should watch, or it
- 45:39Speaker 3: might have a picture of me that says, you know
- 45:41Speaker 3: what I'm saying, heartfelt, powerful message. But the title that's
- 45:45Speaker 3: in their YouTube algorithm connects with what they're looking for.
- 45:49Speaker 4: And that's how we just guilty, and I told.
- 45:51Speaker 3: And the next move for me is as we build
- 45:53Speaker 3: out our speakers Academy and all these.
- 45:55Speaker 4: More people, I want to put together a speakers bureau.
- 45:59Speaker 3: So now, if you're not gonna book me, or if
- 46:01Speaker 3: I'm not trying to leave for whatever price where don't
- 46:03Speaker 3: work with my schedule.
- 46:05Speaker 4: You can still stay here. You know what I'm saying.
- 46:06Speaker 3: I want to put you know what I'm saying, people on,
- 46:07Speaker 3: like bro y'all got to put so many people on,
- 46:09Speaker 3: Like with y'all's platform, it's like, yo, let's keep it
- 46:12Speaker 3: right here within I nucleus.
- 46:14Speaker 2: And so yeah, YouTube has been a game changing man. Yeah,
- 46:16Speaker 2: so you would travel in the country, traveling the world.
- 46:19Speaker 2: Really sorry to think like you're an artist. You must
- 46:21Speaker 2: have a writer and all that, right, right, Like I
- 46:23Speaker 2: have that these days and let's be there. I got
- 46:25Speaker 2: to have my tea. But obviously the pandemic that's happened. Yeah,
- 46:31Speaker 2: that sound weird though, right, Yeah, good to me. Right,
- 46:36Speaker 2: let's let's talk about that. Because now we were limited
- 46:39Speaker 2: in the sense that you couldn't travel. It was actually
- 46:41Speaker 2: a blessing. Yeah, because now you don't have to travel.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Let's talk about that.
- 46:45Speaker 3: I got me a nice little camera about the crib,
- 46:47Speaker 3: you know, saying MacBook Pro and I go live zoom
- 46:50Speaker 3: just like that.
- 46:50Speaker 4: Every single day.
- 46:51Speaker 7: I just had a gig.
- 46:51Speaker 4: Girl there.
- 46:52Speaker 3: Today spoke for a national suicide Previncure conference. It's going
- 46:55Speaker 3: to be ten thousand people watching me live. I smacked
- 46:58Speaker 3: on that, went upstairs, a's some Tai food, jumped in
- 47:01Speaker 3: with the homies and came here. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 47:04Speaker 3: just like that. So to be able to still make
- 47:06Speaker 3: that type of money but still make that type of.
- 47:08Speaker 4: Impact I can reach, I couldn't.
- 47:10Speaker 3: I wouldn't. I wouldn't try. You know how a taxing
- 47:13Speaker 3: it is to speak five six times a week. That's
- 47:15Speaker 3: taxing on your body. I feel like the human really
- 47:17Speaker 3: shouldn't even be on the airplane five six days a week,
- 47:20Speaker 3: Like that's a lot even on your body, and that elevation.
- 47:23Speaker 3: But to go downstairs, cut that camera on and I
- 47:26Speaker 3: could be speaking with some basketball shorts on, and then
- 47:29Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, Like, that's the best thing ever,
- 47:31Speaker 3: And then I'll have to be away from the family.
- 47:33Speaker 3: Now there are I still like being in front of people.
- 47:35Speaker 4: I still like the crowd. I still like the connection.
- 47:38Speaker 3: But the luxury of being able to do that and
- 47:40Speaker 3: make that impact and income at the house and you know,
- 47:43Speaker 3: like and I'm.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Spoiled, you know, and since your home could I want
- 47:46Speaker 2: people to be really clear about this. The budget hasn't
- 47:48Speaker 2: changed now the budget is the budget budget, and the
- 47:52Speaker 2: fact that I'm delivering the message and I'm giving the
- 47:55Speaker 2: audience what you're asking for.
- 47:56Speaker 3: It stays the same. And there are some school now
- 47:59Speaker 3: if we in common track, it's definitely saying the same.
- 48:02Speaker 3: Ain't nobody gonna call Ebony and say, hey, it's virtual now,
- 48:05Speaker 3: and so since it's virtual, can you give us a
- 48:07Speaker 3: discount like we are that's a rap.
- 48:09Speaker 4: But there are some I will say, there are some schools.
- 48:11Speaker 3: I had one recently, five grand and seventy two hundred yesterday,
- 48:15Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, Like they might not have
- 48:16Speaker 3: big budgets, but they you know, but it's like I'll
- 48:19Speaker 3: take that, and I still do stuff for free. We
- 48:22Speaker 3: got a whole school in Arizona that we sponsored with
- 48:24Speaker 3: a group of kids that's struggling. It's heavy Hispanic population.
- 48:27Speaker 3: Like we completely sponsor these kids. Like so it's it's
- 48:30Speaker 3: still the hard work too, you know what I'm saying.
- 48:32Speaker 3: And so I still do a lot of that for free.
- 48:34Speaker 3: But on the flip end, it's just like if they
- 48:37Speaker 3: don't have that budget, it's like I'm at the house.
- 48:39Speaker 3: I don't mind working with you, you know what I'm
- 48:40Speaker 3: saying but half the time, yes, that price don't change.
- 48:44Speaker 2: The last part is because this is the point. Yeah,
- 48:46Speaker 2: you got a family, Yes, doing all the traveling, right,
- 48:50Speaker 2: obviously you're bringing on a lot of money for the family.
- 48:53Speaker 2: But what's that balance like being in a marriage and
- 48:56Speaker 2: I know your wife was working and eventually decided not
- 48:59Speaker 2: to work or was that process like.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Fil Yeah, it was how I said. It was good,
- 49:05Speaker 3: but it was hard when the check would come in.
- 49:08Speaker 3: My wife be like you know what, Like you know
- 49:10Speaker 3: what I'm saying. It is different, but it was still
- 49:13Speaker 3: hard because it's like, yo, she's just there with the kids.
- 49:16Speaker 3: So then it got to the point I was like, yo,
- 49:17Speaker 3: I'm established enough. I'm only taking gigs if I can
- 49:20Speaker 3: fly in and fly right back. So now I'm like,
- 49:22Speaker 3: no more overnight unless it's like a stupid amount. So
- 49:25Speaker 3: we had that luxury. But after the pandemic, you know,
- 49:29Speaker 3: it's like it kind of went away but then started
- 49:30Speaker 3: coming back. But I was I was flying out, said
- 49:33Speaker 3: that just pulled up to pick me up. I about
- 49:35Speaker 3: to go outside. My son grasped my leg He's three,
- 49:37Speaker 3: and starts crying and said, day, don't leave, Why are
- 49:39Speaker 3: you leaving me? Oh bru, that was a rap bro
- 49:43Speaker 3: At that time.
- 49:43Speaker 4: Something shifted and that's when I really owned.
- 49:46Speaker 3: That You're gonna have to pay me to leave my house.
- 49:49Speaker 3: I'll do zoom all day long. I will snap. I
- 49:51Speaker 3: got a great camera, got a great Nikon with a
- 49:53Speaker 3: great lens. I would go crazy. I might even cut
- 49:56Speaker 3: some sexy lights on in the background. It's gonna be
- 49:58Speaker 3: an experience. If you want me to leave, I could
- 50:00Speaker 3: You're going to pay me top dollar because then they feel.
- 50:03Speaker 4: Good for me, you know.
- 50:04Speaker 3: And I could have been like, oh, he'll be okay.
- 50:05Speaker 3: But now that something like that hit me, and my
- 50:07Speaker 3: daughter she understands them. She's like, bye, Daddy. So now
- 50:10Speaker 3: it's like, if I do leave, I'm bringing my daughter
- 50:13Speaker 3: with me. You know what I'm saying from time to time.
- 50:15Speaker 4: So it works.
- 50:17Speaker 10: So you just I wouldn't ask you questions. The first
- 50:19Speaker 10: question is how do you know what to charge?
- 50:22Speaker 3: How do you know when it's time to Oh good?
- 50:26Speaker 3: So that's a good question, and you kind of asked
- 50:28Speaker 3: me that earlier, but I didn't give you the full
- 50:29Speaker 3: answer because I was always doing that the free boy.
- 50:32Speaker 2: Yea.
- 50:33Speaker 3: So so I tell people the average fear of a
- 50:37Speaker 3: speaker is twenty five hundred to five thousand dollars. If
- 50:40Speaker 3: you're in the educational space, same thing pretty much with university.
- 50:43Speaker 3: That means you're not really popping, you know what I'm saying,
- 50:45Speaker 3: You're just kind of an average speaker, you know what
- 50:46Speaker 3: I'm saying. So I know people right now who are
- 50:48Speaker 3: not who don't have crazy stories, you know, no disrespect,
- 50:51Speaker 3: but they not like super talented, but they out here
- 50:54Speaker 3: upon the stuff, right, and they doing six figures a year,
- 50:57Speaker 3: and which is actually easy. You only got to make
- 50:59Speaker 3: eighty four hundred dollars a month. That could be three
- 51:02Speaker 3: speaking engagements for three thousand dollars. That's very douab. But
- 51:05Speaker 3: that means you're not even speaking, not not even getting
- 51:07Speaker 3: five thousands. You just get three a month. That means no,
- 51:10Speaker 3: that's not even one speaking engagement a week. You know
- 51:12Speaker 3: what I'm saying, You're already making six figures. Like that's
- 51:14Speaker 3: docum money. So I tell people all the time when
- 51:17Speaker 3: you first start off, expect between twenty five hundred to
- 51:19Speaker 3: five thousand dollars. And I have a lot of people
- 51:21Speaker 3: that's like, broll, that's life changing. I'm like, yeah, but
- 51:24Speaker 3: that was to it like when I'm never figuring. The
- 51:27Speaker 3: first time I got five grand I was like, man,
- 51:28Speaker 3: I could pay my mortgage up. You know what I'm saying.
- 51:30Speaker 3: For the next couple of you know what I'm saying.
- 51:31Speaker 3: Months like that, things felt good, I'm like boo, we
- 51:33Speaker 3: ball and I realized like, oh this is.
- 51:35Speaker 4: Like this, this is bitly the tip of the iceberg.
- 51:38Speaker 3: And then as you get more reps and the more
- 51:40Speaker 3: you speak, you got to invest back on yourself. The
- 51:43Speaker 3: biggest problem speakers may that I found is they making
- 51:47Speaker 3: five and six and seven thousand dollars per gig, but
- 51:50Speaker 3: then they blowing it. They spend it saving a little
- 51:52Speaker 3: bit and not put it in and get back in themselves.
- 51:54Speaker 3: They're eating their seeds. I tell them, don't eat your seeds.
- 51:57Speaker 3: Take the first few months and just put it back
- 51:59Speaker 3: on yourself. Get you a videographer, somebody that can travel
- 52:02Speaker 3: with you. More high quality pictures with you with kids,
- 52:04Speaker 3: high fiving people, corporate, whatever, whatever field you want to
- 52:07Speaker 3: speak in. More pictures, right, more videos, more testimonials. Now
- 52:12Speaker 3: you look at your website, you have a demo reel
- 52:14Speaker 3: where you have five six different gigs, three four different
- 52:17Speaker 3: people giving you on testimonials.
- 52:20Speaker 4: Like it's the whole vibe.
- 52:21Speaker 3: Now now you look like you really, really, really in demand.
- 52:24Speaker 4: I tell people all the time, you can't make demands.
- 52:26Speaker 3: If you're not in demand. But the videos would do that.
- 52:30Speaker 3: The videos would make people feel like, WHOA, my man
- 52:32Speaker 3: is out here getting busy.
- 52:33Speaker 4: My man is out here doing you know what I'm saying.
- 52:34Speaker 4: He got the sausage. So that's what I do, man,
- 52:37Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying.
- 52:37Speaker 3: I tell people all the time, like, put the videos
- 52:39Speaker 3: together and then you could scale up and then you
- 52:41Speaker 3: could say, ah, I'm gonna go from five thousand, seventy
- 52:43Speaker 3: five hundred, and should the resistance you have fifty to
- 52:46Speaker 3: fifty or fifty percent of people, it's like, ah, I
- 52:48Speaker 3: work with that. Fifty percent is like they ain't got
- 52:50Speaker 3: the budget. And you can keep that for a couple
- 52:52Speaker 3: of months a year. Then it's like, Okay, now I'm
- 52:54Speaker 3: gonna go to ninety two hundred.
- 52:56Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying.
- 52:56Speaker 3: You find them random numbers, you know what I'm saying,
- 52:58Speaker 3: to kind of go from there.
- 52:59Speaker 4: And then you could also don't.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Tell when they're filling out the form, when they fill
- 53:03Speaker 3: out that booking for him, if you keep getting two hundred,
- 53:05Speaker 3: two hundred, five hundred, five hundred, then obviously they're looking
- 53:08Speaker 3: at you and they're like, Okay, he's cool, or they're
- 53:10Speaker 3: getting twenty five hundred, twelve hundred. Oh he's cool, but
- 53:12Speaker 3: I'm not ready to pay top dollar.
- 53:14Speaker 4: That's some more things that you got to do within
- 53:15Speaker 4: your website.
- 53:16Speaker 3: But when everon he first told this, probably about four
- 53:19Speaker 3: or five years ago, she had first told a gig
- 53:21Speaker 3: Jeremy would be ten thousand dollars. They was like, oh, okay, great,
- 53:25Speaker 3: that's so great.
- 53:26Speaker 4: I thought he was so much more.
- 53:27Speaker 3: I said, yo, like once they was just like looking
- 53:30Speaker 3: at his website, I just knew you were gonna say
- 53:33Speaker 3: thirty thousand.
- 53:34Speaker 4: Now that's not the norm.
- 53:35Speaker 3: Every university of school ain't gonna think that way, right,
- 53:38Speaker 3: But I tell people all the time that when you
- 53:40Speaker 3: are getting some gigs, the best thing you can do
- 53:43Speaker 3: is invest that back on yourself. And y'all know what
- 53:45Speaker 3: it is. It's like, man, I got I made some
- 53:46Speaker 3: money in the stock market. It's like I can go
- 53:48Speaker 3: and blow it, or I can lean in when the
- 53:50Speaker 3: price dropped all everybody else leave it. That's what I'm
- 53:52Speaker 3: jumping in because it is only a matter of time
- 53:53Speaker 3: before it goes back up. And so that's what I do.
- 53:55Speaker 6: So you just got an opportunity speaking in Australia fifty
- 54:01Speaker 6: grand talk about that.
- 54:02Speaker 7: How was that and how did that come about? So
- 54:05Speaker 7: I got a guy.
- 54:05Speaker 3: I got a guy I've never heard of him in
- 54:08Speaker 3: Singapore who sits on this board for this International Financial
- 54:13Speaker 3: Leadership conference. So remember I said earlier how I was
- 54:16Speaker 3: doing corporate, I was doing schools and churches. And then
- 54:18Speaker 3: he was like, YO, make a decision. And then I
- 54:20Speaker 3: went all in with schools and I just believe like
- 54:24Speaker 3: your gifts will make room for you. Well that's exactly
- 54:26Speaker 3: what happened. They seen all these different type of things.
- 54:28Speaker 3: They saw watch this. They saw my Your Worth video
- 54:31Speaker 3: where I basically break down this dollar and say, if
- 54:33Speaker 3: you borrow the dollar up, if you tear it in half,
- 54:35Speaker 3: if you stomp on it, it.
- 54:37Speaker 4: Still has its value.
- 54:38Speaker 3: So regardless of what you have going on in your life,
- 54:40Speaker 3: regardless what happens to you, you still got worth the value.
- 54:42Speaker 3: That thing went viral. He saw that video, went to
- 54:45Speaker 3: my website, sits on the board for this International Financial
- 54:49Speaker 3: Leadership conference, and they was like, yo, we want you
- 54:52Speaker 3: to come in and our budget is fifty thousand dollars.
- 54:55Speaker 3: You're going to be speaking one time, forty five minutes
- 54:57Speaker 3: in front of fifteen thousand people. I'm thinking, like, wow,
- 55:02Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, to see just from content
- 55:04Speaker 3: like this stuff that I teach people, Like I'm telling
- 55:06Speaker 3: you just put that content out there, but you also
- 55:08Speaker 3: gotta have a good heart. Like I can't tell you, man,
- 55:10Speaker 3: how many group homes, how many homeless shelters, how many
- 55:13Speaker 3: detention centers I spoke at for free just because I
- 55:15Speaker 3: saw people hurting.
- 55:17Speaker 4: So I still believe in karma. You know what I'm saying.
- 55:19Speaker 4: I still believe you can't.
- 55:19Speaker 3: Be God giving.
- 55:20Speaker 4: Like I still believe if you do right by people,
- 55:22Speaker 4: good things are gonna come your way.
- 55:24Speaker 3: Challenges are still gonna come your way. I tell motivational
- 55:26Speaker 3: speakers all the time, current and respiring motivational speakers, Okay,
- 55:29Speaker 3: you want to be a speaker, I get it, but
- 55:31Speaker 3: you're going through hard times. They were just like, why
- 55:33Speaker 3: is this happening to me? It's to prepare you so
- 55:35Speaker 3: that when you stand on stage, you have a depth
- 55:37Speaker 3: and knowledge to speak from, so that when you send
- 55:39Speaker 3: in front of people, you really got something to say.
- 55:41Speaker 3: You're not just up there kind of just flowing. So
- 55:42Speaker 3: sometimes life is gonna throw you some curve balls to
- 55:45Speaker 3: show you how to hit that thing out the park.
- 55:46Speaker 3: Then you're gonna have a different type of sound. You're
- 55:48Speaker 3: gonna have a different type of stature, you know what
- 55:50Speaker 3: I'm saying. You gonna have a different type of depth.
- 55:52Speaker 3: And so yeah, that's what I tell people. So that
- 55:54Speaker 3: that thing that came out way for Australia, Yeah it
- 55:57Speaker 3: was sweet, you know I said. And so I'm looking
- 55:59Speaker 3: forward to that and so many more and who knows,
- 56:02Speaker 3: you know what that would do for the brand this
- 56:04Speaker 3: is And that's not even in my lane in a sense,
- 56:07Speaker 3: Like I could talk to finances, I can talk some wealth,
- 56:08Speaker 3: I can talk investments, but I'm heavy in that youth space.
- 56:12Speaker 3: So the underdogs like, I'm still an advocate for them.
- 56:15Speaker 3: I want to go to the universities with the casts
- 56:17Speaker 3: there and they feel like everybody is supposed to be here.
- 56:19Speaker 3: Before you drop out, I got some for you. I'm
- 56:21Speaker 3: still trying to be in the trenches in these schools
- 56:22Speaker 3: and let them know you still got worth in value.
- 56:24Speaker 3: But to see that an international financial Leadership conference, I
- 56:29Speaker 3: want to pay this number? Had bro all the challenges
- 56:31Speaker 3: I have fifty bass like that thing crazy? You know what,
- 56:38Speaker 3: what's the deal with? Why is that important? Yeah? So
- 56:42Speaker 3: for me, we just found the When I come in,
- 56:45Speaker 3: when I do that five step process, I do that
- 56:48Speaker 3: intro call to really get all the information. I show
- 56:51Speaker 3: up a show while'll spend time afterwards taking pictures. How
- 56:53Speaker 3: can I add more value? I follow up afterwards, I
- 56:56Speaker 3: do that survey. Did I meet your expectations? Set your expectations?
- 56:58Speaker 3: When I send them a gift, I said on my
- 57:00Speaker 3: holiday car. By the time I hit them with them
- 57:02Speaker 3: five touch points, they not going nowhere else and they're
- 57:05Speaker 3: constantly coming back to me. I just got booked one
- 57:07Speaker 3: gig thirty thousand dollars, I asked epany. I said, how
- 57:11Speaker 3: did that come about? She was like, you spoke at
- 57:13Speaker 3: this school back in twenty sixteen.
- 57:15Speaker 4: I said, you lying? She said, yeah.
- 57:17Speaker 3: The student graduated from the school, went to college, and
- 57:21Speaker 3: now he's been working for this company for like a
- 57:23Speaker 3: year or two, and he told the general, the VP,
- 57:26Speaker 3: and they want to bring you in. I'm like, what
- 57:29Speaker 3: this dude was a senior in high school at twenty
- 57:31Speaker 3: sixteen and now this thing came around full circle. It's crazy,
- 57:36Speaker 3: but that's what happens when you really believe in yourself.
- 57:38Speaker 3: I tell people all the time, how you going to
- 57:40Speaker 3: others to believe in themselves if you don't believe in yourself.
- 57:42Speaker 3: So you gotta be willing to go out here and
- 57:44Speaker 3: go all in. And me and my white man we
- 57:46Speaker 3: quit our job. Like when I quit my job, like
- 57:48Speaker 3: I had a little girl. She said she was gonna
- 57:49Speaker 3: commit suicide, but she heard my story.
- 57:51Speaker 4: But that hit my heart.
- 57:53Speaker 3: But I was like, she was crying, like asked them.
- 57:55Speaker 3: She was like, you saved my life. You saved my life.
- 57:57Speaker 3: You saved my life. I was thinking, like whoa. I
- 57:59Speaker 3: went home and told my wife. I said, hey, boot, like,
- 58:01Speaker 3: I'm about to quit my job. Like this new generation
- 58:03Speaker 3: really need my story, all the pain I went through.
- 58:05Speaker 3: It's really helping people. She's like, and at that time,
- 58:08Speaker 3: Juel had just been born.
- 58:09Speaker 4: My daughter's nine.
- 58:10Speaker 3: Now, she had just been born. I was speaking, but
- 58:13Speaker 3: I wasn't full time. She worked for the government health
- 58:15Speaker 3: care benefits for them. Okay, you already noticed. She was like, nope,
- 58:19Speaker 3: you quit your job, and quit my job too. She
- 58:20Speaker 3: was like, nigga, you ain't finna be traveling around here
- 58:22Speaker 3: and I got to sit here and raise our daughter
- 58:24Speaker 3: by myself.
- 58:25Speaker 4: We're gonna have to figure this thing out together. I
- 58:27Speaker 4: was like, Yo, did you pray about that?
- 58:29Speaker 3: I don't know what's right now?
- 58:30Speaker 4: That wasn't you know what I'm saying.
- 58:31Speaker 3: That was because her salary could have covered the mortgage
- 58:34Speaker 3: in the car. No, she was like bumped that. We
- 58:35Speaker 3: all in you know what I'm saying. But well, great
- 58:37Speaker 3: what they say, well, great risk comes gave reward.
- 58:41Speaker 10: So how'd you get into the education space? Teaching not
- 58:45Speaker 10: speaking for teaching?
- 58:46Speaker 4: Yeah, so with the so with the students, so whenever.
- 58:49Speaker 3: So, I would probably say, out of all the work
- 58:51Speaker 3: I do just in the school space, I still get
- 58:53Speaker 3: to do some faith based stuff, still get.
- 58:54Speaker 4: To do some corporate stuff. But with everything within the
- 58:56Speaker 4: school space, I'm probably sixty.
- 58:58Speaker 3: Forty sixty percent students forty teachers all came from one principle.
- 59:03Speaker 4: He heard me speak.
- 59:04Speaker 3: He's like, Bruh, you got to work for our teachers too.
- 59:07Speaker 3: Can you come and speak to our teachers? I said, absolutely,
- 59:10Speaker 3: gave them some motivation, shared my story. I went to
- 59:12Speaker 3: three schools for ninth grade. I kept feeling and get
- 59:15Speaker 3: kicked out. So I told them how I went from
- 59:17Speaker 3: three different schools for ninth grade three years later finally
- 59:20Speaker 3: figuring out graduating on time, and how I connected with
- 59:22Speaker 3: teaching and how they connected with me. I realized, like, yo,
- 59:25Speaker 3: I got some for teachers, and they just began to
- 59:28Speaker 3: kind of speak more and more. And the more I
- 59:29Speaker 3: talk to teachers, like you said, y'all to do research,
- 59:31Speaker 3: y'all had to really engulf yourself in this space. I
- 59:34Speaker 3: started learning from other educators. Next thing I know, I
- 59:35Speaker 3: wrote the next Level Teaching book, had a whole bunch
- 59:38Speaker 3: of different teachers read it, give me some critiques, teaching
- 59:41Speaker 3: them how to connect with me. And now I'm booming.
- 59:45Speaker 3: August my biggest month because it's complications the beginning of
- 59:47Speaker 3: the school year.
- 59:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:48Speaker 3: Yeah, so that's what I'm thinking. Coming from that field.
- 59:49Speaker 2: I know, like a lot of times beyond just doing assemblies,
- 59:52Speaker 2: they have people who come into professional development, and so
- 59:55Speaker 2: I'm thinking, like, is that something that is on your
- 59:57Speaker 2: books too, Like you coming in, Yeah, you start the
- 59:59Speaker 2: year off.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: This type of energy is like, now you're the guy.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Not only in the school, but principals talk, superintendent's talk,
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: and I was like, oh wait, we got this guy.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: You need to have them to have your opening day,
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: and you need to match your opening day and your
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: superintendent's day.
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: So that was not even speeders anymore. It's like just
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: staff and you're the guy that's about to kick the
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: year off.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: That's it.
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: And they in there with T shirts.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: Let me tell you something I had, ah Man so
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: much I want to give you all y. Let me
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: say this.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: I had one school I went to. I killed it.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: They was like, we want to bring you back. They
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: brought me back. Killed that for that school.
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: Somebody from the district was like, we want you to
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: speak for our whole district.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: Killed that. Now I'm in front of eighty five different principles,
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: thousands of teachers. They like, yo, he got the juice.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: That opened up so many more opportunities. I spoken like
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: twelve of the schools. One schools like Yojay, we want
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: you to do a school takeover. You got next level teaching.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: I'm next level student shirts. Can you do some next
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: level teaching shirts? This would be fore even dropped the
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: teaching book.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: I said for sure.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: By then I had the book come out. They ordered
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: the Next Level Teaching Book. They ordered our Next Level
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: Students curriculum for every student. Then they ordered Next Level
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: parent shirts and we did a whole school takeover. And
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: I'm looking at this like this is crazy. And so
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: people don't realize I've got people that's building six figures
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: and you're not even speaking.
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: It's just a product they created.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: I get one more bar about how they can make
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: more money doing so. During the pandemic. My wife, she
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: been a spirit too. She told me right when the
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: pandemic hit, She's like, you're not gonna be traveling that much.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: You should do some virtual presentation. I like virtual presentation,
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: talking about like she was like, no, you should prepackage it.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: So I looked at five things schools be struggling with
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: the teachers. Because I'm big on professional development, diversity, equity inclusion.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: I've recorded the forty five minute training on that school culture,
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: implicit bias, conquering COVID nineteen, and one more thing I
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: can't think of right now. Right, So I did five
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: different presentations. Right, we're all five of those present all
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: about forty five to fifty minutes MAX. Put them on
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: my website, had them nice and package has some little
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: graphics created for it.
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: For the low, and I say that each one of
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: these is two thousand dollars.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: Now I knew that would be a steal because they like,
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: as opposed to paying eight, ten, fifteen and him flying
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: here and speaking, I could pay two thousand and get
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: this dollarge, I.
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: Said, yep, And if you get all five, I give
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: it all five. I'll give them to you a half off.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: That's only five grand.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: I mean that's the only way, man, no, no no,
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: I said, if you get all five of them, it's
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: only ten grand. So they're like, yo, as opposed to
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: five thousand dollars for one you can give it to
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: me half price ten thousand dollars and then we start booming.
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: I told my team, I said, if you sell just
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: four of those a month, that's just one package a year.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: I mean per week.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: That's like one hundred thousand dollars. I mean that's a
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: million dollars. Is like that, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: So I'm realizing, like, man, if I just said I
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: got this bundle.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: Package for ten thousand dollars and some people can send
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: it for five thousand dollars, you set the sucking for
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: five thousand dollars. You sell that just twice a year,
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: it mean, excuse me, twice a week. That's twenty thousand
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: dollars a month, you know what I'm saying. Times twelve,
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: that's almost a quarter million dollars. You never need the
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: house to re quartered one time. And the crazy part
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: is that if you add assessments to it, which I'm
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: not sure if you do every year, teachers have to do.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: A certain training social biases, and it's like that becomes
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: a professional development. So now if we even got every
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: teacher doing it, plus the assessments, now you track it,
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: and now you just that's just a worldwide thing, you
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: know what I mean, because everybody has to do the
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: same thing. Well not even I shouldn't say worldwide, definitely
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: the United States state we have to have a certain
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: amount of hours of professional development.
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: So that's a that's a hell of a I do that.
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: I've recorded it one time.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: And even if you set the price that just five
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: thousand dollars for all just a thousand for each one.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: But it's a bundle package and then you sell just
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: one of those per week, I'm like, yo, that's how
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: we make a killer. So let's talk about the next level. Academy.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: What is it? What is it until.
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: And like what is the curriculum that you have built
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: inside of it?
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: So I think probably around twenty eighteen, I start having guys,
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: you know, send me DMS, men and women.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, like, Yo, can you mentor me?
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: Can you coach me? And you got a program?
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: And for like two years I just didn't have none form.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: I love them, I'm jumping on planes, I'm doing my thing,
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: and my wife's like, yo, we gotta build some and
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: I just didn't have time.
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: So when COVID hit, were like, man, we got more time.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: We got time. So I said, I brought my whole
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: team in, We got a whole staff, and we said, okay,
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: let's map out the business. Let's reverse engineer this from
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: everything from Module one. It's like forty hours of video
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: lessons and contents like Okay, how do I put together
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: the perfect speech? How do I build out the keynote?
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: How do I know what audience? How to co connect
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: with them? How do I build out the brand? How
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: do I get the gigs, the templates, the emails, like
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: everything that we've learned that we've done, we put all
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: within this course. Then we got like a private Facebook
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: community where we have different you know, I'm saying events
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: and things like that's going on, and our people are
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: hosting the events together, you know.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: What I'm saying. And then we have calls where we have.
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: Calls where you can actually come in on Sundays and
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: it's like rep calls. So it's like you got fifteen
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: minutes to do a TED talk and then myself or
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: some other coaches will kind of give you some critiques,
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: So we have that, we have the.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: Sundays with me where I am answering your questions. Hey, Jeremy,
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: I got a contract here and it's on zoom so
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: they can see me. I can see them. I got
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: a contract here. This is coming up with the school.
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: What advice would you give me here? So it's really
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: a three part It's like you got the community, then
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: you got the calls on Sunday, and then you got
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: the course itself that maps out everything you need from
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: A to.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: Z to become a successful motivational speaker. Everything I learned
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: over the years from the very beginning, I put.
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: Into this course and people are winning, They getting.
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: Crazy results and my goal.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: I'm like, I need one hundred people that can make
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: more than me speaking, because now I got other businesses.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: I took the wealth we built for speaking and got
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: with Alex shout out to good Energy. We got a
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: bunch of trucks on the road. Was just getting the truck. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: so now we got that. We got the podcast, clothing lines,
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: you know, to say nonprofit. We started another ads agency
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: with et and the Squad. It's just like a lot
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: of different things going on because as his money is
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: coming in, you there's only so much stuff you can buy.
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: It's like, Okay, how do I multiply? How do I do? Okay,
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: let me get some more crypto you know what I'm saying, Like,
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: let me make some more investments, let me get into
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: real estate.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: And so that's been that's.
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: Been the way. So now I'm showing people how they
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: can take their message and monetize it, how they can
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: live a life of purpose but make some really good profit.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, You can make a whole
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: bunch of income and impact at the same time. How
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: many students. We got seven hundred people in our community
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: getting busy, and honestly, I can't think I was talking
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: to Marcus earlier.
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: I told Marcus too. I was like, hey, I'm gonna
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: tell you right now, I'm gonna.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: Tell the guys.
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: You know, I know he killed it.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: When it comes to credit and all the other spaces,
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: I can't think of no other profession where you can
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: make this kind of money in a small amount of
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: time and make that massive impact. But when I get
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: off stage and folks of crime, people like bro your
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: story touched me and connected with me. It changed my life.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: When I get the emails, when I read the dms,
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: and I'm like, man, I make that type of impact.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: It's almost criminals that I get paid for, you know
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: what I'm saying.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: But that's why I tell people like you got to
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: have your heart cure. Don't get in it just for
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: the money. You need to get in because you care
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: about people. You got to really out of the craft,
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, and then you can be
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: blessed with those resources. But yeah, that's what we have
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: with the community. This is a three parts yeah.
- 1:07:11Speaker 6: And it's one of these things like I always said,
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: like you know, this is a new economy and there's
- 1:07:15Speaker 6: so many different ways to make money. Now and the
- 1:07:17Speaker 6: vast majority of them, it is still not really taught
- 1:07:19Speaker 6: in school like college and stuff like that.
- 1:07:20Speaker 7: So it's like, you know, to be a public speaker.
- 1:07:22Speaker 6: I don't know if they have public speaking classes and universities,
- 1:07:25Speaker 6: but it's not like that. Like I'm a communications major,
- 1:07:29Speaker 6: so I study communications, but it's generic information.
- 1:07:35Speaker 7: It's not like modern information.
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: Of like putting together a deck and how to get
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: booked and you know, all the stuff that we're talking about.
- 1:07:42Speaker 6: I know firsthand and not teaching that in the vast
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: majority of colleges because like I said, I'm actually a
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: communications major. I didn't learn any of that stuff. Realized
- 1:07:50Speaker 6: it was switched over to social works. Yeah, I didn't
- 1:07:54Speaker 6: learn any of that stuff. So it's like, for a
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: fraction of the cost of going to college, you can
- 1:07:59Speaker 6: actually learn about you know, trucking or vendor machines or
- 1:08:02Speaker 6: how to be a public speaker.
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: That's the that's the.
- 1:08:04Speaker 6: Beautiful part of you know, the educational space is that
- 1:08:08Speaker 6: you can actually fast track your learning, not from theory,
- 1:08:12Speaker 6: from actually people that's actually doing it in real life.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: And that's that's my biggest thing. There are so many people,
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: especially when you're going to you know, the college and universities.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: You got people who are teaching classes and they ain't
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: never really went through nothing. They ain't even go through
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: the recession or no pandemic, Like, they ain't go through
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: those struggles. They ain't have to like figure things out
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: in different you know what I'm saying, with different presidents,
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: different things to happen in the country. Like, but you
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: got people like a lot of the names you mentioned
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: who have been there, done that, and have been able
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: to grow and thrive and build out something really special
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: that really do know what they talking about and really
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: do care my problem. But they call me the community misster.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: Overdeliver that's the hashtat they use. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: because I'm like, yo, as long as I keep over
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: delivering and I keep adding maximum value, they're going to
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: get the best results and we're gonna change.
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: The world together.
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: What's the most school story that one of your students has,
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: Chris Chris Singleton.
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: I hope you don't Miami sharing it, but he gonna
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: do I hope you have on my AWM shit anyway,
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: he's gonna do a half a million. He not even
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: thirty year. I got a dozen other people easily doing
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: six figures easy. You know what I'm saying, Our most
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: focused in the school system, or probably seventy percent of them.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: I would say when I look at our whole community,
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: seventy percent of the people in our community are in
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: the school space. And then you got something that's like Nope,
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: I'm in corporate or I'm in sports teams. Maybe they
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: played pro ball and I retired. I got a bunch
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: of retired NFL you know, football players in our community.
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: I even had a few of them do an event,
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: like my man Jeremiah Brown being Inky didn't event recently
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: for a school. It was an NIL project. We had
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: him speak. So we got different people in different places.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: Some are faith based, women empowerment, that type of thing.
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: Thirty percent, but I'll probably say sixty five seventy percent
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: are in their use.
- 1:09:49Speaker 6: Now that the school system is booming. I can speak
- 1:09:51Speaker 6: for first hand experience. I got paid like twelve thousand
- 1:09:53Speaker 6: dollars years ago, Yeah, for like six hours of work.
- 1:09:56Speaker 6: And then another time I got paid a couple thousand dollars,
- 1:09:59Speaker 6: and that was They used to have a program called
- 1:10:01Speaker 6: My Brother's Keeper, which is young President Obama. Yeah, President
- 1:10:07Speaker 6: where did you come to.
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: Speak at that.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: President We'll talk about that later.
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:10:12Speaker 6: President Obama put a program called My Brother's Keeping in place,
- 1:10:15Speaker 6: and it was millions of dollars that was put in
- 1:10:17Speaker 6: like different school districts all across the country, like to
- 1:10:20Speaker 6: target young men of color, African American men. And the
- 1:10:25Speaker 6: problem is that a lot and the vendors, like, let's
- 1:10:29Speaker 6: say the school had like two hundred thousand dollars. The
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: first priority they had to spend it with like African
- 1:10:33Speaker 6: American vendors, but a lot of them couldn't even find vendors.
- 1:10:37Speaker 6: But because a a lot of people don't even know
- 1:10:40Speaker 6: about it, and then so what happened is they started
- 1:10:43Speaker 6: spending money with outside vendors and stuff like that because
- 1:10:45Speaker 6: they had to spend the money. So like when I
- 1:10:47Speaker 6: had approached the school and I was given a presentation
- 1:10:51Speaker 6: of what I could do, this, that, and the third
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: and I'm like like, so, how much you think that's
- 1:10:55Speaker 6: going to cost?
- 1:10:57Speaker 7: Twenty thousand? And it was like that's a lot, and
- 1:11:01Speaker 7: that's a lot. Like that's a lot. They're like, yo,
- 1:11:06Speaker 7: I never forget.
- 1:11:07Speaker 6: So we kind of negotiated it down to twelve thousand,
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: and it was for it came out to like six hours. No,
- 1:11:15Speaker 6: it came out to like twelve hours, but it only
- 1:11:17Speaker 6: got cut down to six hours that I had to
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: actually work. So they like, that's a thousand dollars an hour,
- 1:11:20Speaker 6: Like we don't even It was like, it's like, we
- 1:11:23Speaker 6: don't even pay I forgot who They didn't say teachers.
- 1:11:26Speaker 6: They yeah, it was like, we don't even pay like
- 1:11:29Speaker 6: top teacher. I said, well, I'm not a teacher, all right,
- 1:11:35Speaker 6: I'm just being honest, right, this is this is my fee.
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: But they ended up paying it. So I know that
- 1:11:39Speaker 6: the school system has money because I actually got paid
- 1:11:41Speaker 6: from a school system before. And when I got paid
- 1:11:43Speaker 6: from the school system, I realized, like damn, So I
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: started doing the research. In New York City alone, I
- 1:11:48Speaker 6: think they have like fifty million dollars every single year
- 1:11:52Speaker 6: that goes to outside vendors, all kinds of stuff, stuff
- 1:11:56Speaker 6: that they teach kids how to like cook, after school programs,
- 1:12:00Speaker 6: And it's just like we never even think about this,
- 1:12:02Speaker 6: but the school system. Because everybody is looking like school
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: systems is strapped, right, there's a lot of it that's
- 1:12:07Speaker 6: just mismanagement of money.
- 1:12:09Speaker 7: But they have a lot of money.
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: You got to know the language.
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: That's one thing we put in our course is the
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: language to use s cl PBI S title one, Like.
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: There's a language you already know.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: I know, pb I S man we was given out.
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: It's just that positive reinforcement. How are we going to
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: do it? What's the strategies for it all? That's part
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: of it.
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: The screenshots I put together.
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: A PBIS school is not org.
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: If you go to PBIU School or that's our website,
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: it's almost like what you call it, like not a
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: clone website, but.
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: It's like you don't really know who's behind it.
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: I'm on there almost like the spokesperson. You just got
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: to give every school.
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: That's what I said.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: Every school now every school has it. The school system
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: has to be incorporate school. That's what you said is
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: key to a lot of people don't even know that.
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: You said there's a vendorless but like a lot of
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: people don't know how to even get on that vendorless.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: So like one of the things you got to if
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: you're in New York City specifically, is like if you
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: know it's just a principle. If you know a principle,
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: well just ask them and they can give you information,
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: So they got to recommend you first. So like if
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: you're the public speaker, that's the best way to get.
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: On the list.
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: And so now when they look through the categories of
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: what they're looking for, who they want it's after school
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: program or publice peeper. There you go, and they could
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: actually how many times you've been booked? Oh, he's free,
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: she's free. There we can grab you know, how impressed
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: they're going to be. The first question they're going to
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: ask you when you call to reach out, are you
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: a vendor? When you say yes, they're used to people
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: saying no, they're like, oh really, Oh well, oh well, okay,
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: what was.
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: Your name again?
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: It's the first they didn't mister shop. They're like, okay,
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: are you what's your name again?
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. That makes a bigger connection
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: for sure. Yeah all right.
- 1:13:39Speaker 6: So yeah, like I said, I know firsthand the value
- 1:13:42Speaker 6: of this because I actually benefited from it. And I
- 1:13:45Speaker 6: also know the first hand value of actually investing in
- 1:13:48Speaker 6: your education from my first hand experience.
- 1:13:52Speaker 7: I invest in courses like stock courses and stuff like that.
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: Options.
- 1:13:55Speaker 6: I got an option course a while back just to
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: kind of accelerate my knowledge in the space, and I
- 1:14:00Speaker 6: have to watch a thousand YouTube videos and kind of
- 1:14:02Speaker 6: like dispect them. So I think what you're doing is
- 1:14:05Speaker 6: great with the Next Level Academy. I know that, you know,
- 1:14:08Speaker 6: people have achieved success, and it's like anything right, like
- 1:14:11Speaker 6: you put you get out of it what you put
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: into it. But it's always good to have support a
- 1:14:17Speaker 6: community and in a sense mentorship from somebody that's actually
- 1:14:21Speaker 6: done it, like been where you want to go. So,
- 1:14:26Speaker 6: in true EYL fashion, anybody that comes on the platform,
- 1:14:29Speaker 6: we always ask them, you know, if they would honor
- 1:14:33Speaker 6: us by giving us a special discount for our earners.
- 1:14:37Speaker 6: And you were happy to oblige to that, so thank
- 1:14:39Speaker 6: you for that. So Jeremy has the Next Level Speaker's Academy.
- 1:14:44Speaker 6: But we're going to do a special five hundred dollars
- 1:14:46Speaker 6: off for anybody that is listening to this podcast or
- 1:14:50Speaker 6: watching this podcast on YouTube, and that's the website is
- 1:14:53Speaker 6: going to be Next Level eyl dot com. So Next
- 1:14:57Speaker 6: Level eyl dot Com will put the in the description
- 1:15:00Speaker 6: of this video off of the link in the Apple

- 1:15:08Speaker 6: on that website that's gonna be in the schoolsive off

- 1:15:12Speaker 6: if you want to invest in your education, take the steps.
- 1:15:15Speaker 7: They're actually reaching level.
- 1:15:17Speaker 6: Of financial freedom and even bigger than that, just getting
- 1:15:19Speaker 6: your voice out there, because I think that's probably even
- 1:15:21Speaker 6: more beneficial because you never know where I can go
- 1:15:25Speaker 6: and who it could impact. If you want to learn,
- 1:15:28Speaker 6: then you know you can go to that website. Once again,
- 1:15:30Speaker 6: it's next level ey l dot com and that is
- 1:15:34Speaker 6: five hundred dollars off special promo code only on that website.
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: So thank you for that. Appreciate it, Appreciate you, Appreciate
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: it absolutely.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: Yeah, before we go, I got a question for you.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: Obviously, you know, doctor King had the I have a
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: dream speech, powerful speech and pawerful speech. If you had
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: to think of one that people are going to and
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: should remember you for and it could be the most impactful,
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: I paid one.
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: What speech would it be? What's speech come to mind? Yep, Columbus, Georgia.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: I went to the school, eight hundred students in the audience,
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: and the principal wanted me to do something special, but
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: only the males, and so I asked him. I said,
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: by short hands, how many of you don't have your
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: father in your life? And no, lie bro Out of
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: eight hundred young black male students, five hundred hands went up,
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: and that just my heart bro And I went there
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: and I began to talk about, you know, the absence
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: of my biological father and how they made me feel
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: and the mistakes I made, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: And then I began to talk about their worth and
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: their value, and I just snapped. And afterwards, I literally
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: sat on stage for probably an hour and a half,
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: and one by one by one, students would come up
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: where I was on stage. The curtain was right here,
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: and I was kind of and after the first one
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: broke in tears, and he was one of the he
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: was like one of the wide receivers for the football team,
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. So he didn't want he
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: was like man saying he was struggling, I'll pull him
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: around the currgy. He broke down crime and then I
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: wrapped him up. I poured into him, and then the
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: next one came and I said it for an hour
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: and a half and just just to embrace you know
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: what I'm saying, Like, just to embrace them, just to
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: hug them, just to hold them, just to let them know, like, yo,
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: I see you.
- 1:17:14Speaker 4: And half of them was in tears. Some of them
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: was like that's real shit, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: That was cool boy. The other half was like really
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: in their heart because they ain't never heard that, you
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: know what I'm saying. They ain't never heard another black
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: man say, broh, I love you. Even though we're not
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: tied like that, we still connected as great things inside you.
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: So I've got a ton of stories, but that one
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: right there was a moment at an event when I realized,
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: like and I always knew it was bigger than me,
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: but those are type of things that fueled me because
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: as as powerful as that was, and there's one hundred
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: and thirty two thousand schools in America, as dominant as
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: I am in this space, I ain't even scratch the surface.
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: That's why we built the Speakers Academy. I want to
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: have a community of speakers that can go out here
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: and get it, go out here and make impact, go
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: out here and bless the people. Go out here and
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: change lives like that's what it's all about doing for
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: the culture.
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: But it's different.
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: That's why y'all show up to Egypt's why y'all show
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: up in different countries, and you got flocks and flocks
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: and hundreds and thousands of people that want to connect
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: with you because of what y'all are provide to the culture.
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, What you're doing for our community.
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: People know, man, what's possible, like y'all to open up
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: their eyes, like you know what I'm saying. This is
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: like something even different from the Hall of Renaissance. This
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: is something different from Black Wall Street.
- 1:18:21Speaker 4: This is digital.
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: Now we can go to our phones. Y'all got hundreds
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: and hundreds of videos, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 1:18:26Speaker 3: so much content out here, and so what you all
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: are doing in that space of financial literacy, I'm like, man,
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: every person with a story, every person that got a passion,
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: every person that has a message, I'm gonna do my
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: part to help you go out here and share with
