- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the very noisy chicken coop.
- 0:31So question of the day, how do you know when enough is enough?
- 0:36And that can that question can be represented in many
- 0:39situations, but overall, how do you know when you hit your wall?
- 0:44Do you even have a clue? Here's something that's really
- 0:48important to recognize going through this part of the year.
- 0:52You must start paying attention to when you've had enough, when
- 0:55you need to rest, when you need to pull back, when you need to
- 0:59put yourself in a new situation, when it whether it's at work,
- 1:03whether it's personally, whatever you have to know, when
- 1:06is enough, enough? And here's something that I've
- 1:10learned over the years of coaching many people who are
- 1:15dealing with others making decisions.
- 1:18If you wait to get your clients to the point where they are in
- 1:23the middle of the emotional situation to figure out what
- 1:27their pain points are and have them say at that point in time,
- 1:30yes or no, you've waited too long.
- 1:33Because when emotions go up, intelligence goes down and
- 1:37people need to make decisions prior to going in the the, they
- 1:42need to put the bumpers up. They need to understand these
- 1:44are the parameters in which these decisions will be made.
- 1:46And when those parameters are hit, then we can make a
- 1:49decision. And it's the same thing for
- 1:51this. When is enough enough?
- 1:52So let's say you have a situation right now that you're
- 1:56dealing with and it is tolerable, but you don't like
- 2:01it. And every day it niggles at you
- 2:04a little bit. It just annoys you.
- 2:06It just pokes at you. It's like having a little tiny
- 2:09Pebble in your shoe, but you know it doesn't feel good.
- 2:13And you continue to walk and you have the Pebble in your shoe and
- 2:15you don't stop and take it off because it's a pain in the butt
- 2:17to retie your shoe. And then by the end of the day,
- 2:20you get home and your whole side of your foot is sore because you
- 2:22started walking heavy so you wouldn't have that little thing
- 2:27niggling you. And all of a sudden now your hip
- 2:30hurts. And before you know it, your
- 2:32shoulder hurts. And you're like, geez, I don't
- 2:34understand what's going on here. And you go to the chiropractor
- 2:37and he's like, well, it seems like you're walking off.
- 2:39And you think to yourself, that's funny.
- 2:42He says, do you have good shoes? Are you walking with this?
- 2:44He's asking you questions while he's fixing you.
- 2:46And it turns out you remember in that moment that you had that
- 2:50rock in your shoe, and you didn't take that rock out.
- 2:53Now, this is a metaphor, obviously, but how many times
- 2:56have we done that? I mean, I know I'm out here
- 2:59walking all day long and I might have something in my shoe and I
- 3:02don't stop and take it off right away.
- 3:04And then I have to remember this is not going to feel good.
- 3:07Stop and take it off. And then when I do, I feel so
- 3:10much better. It's the same thing.
- 3:12It's the same exact thing when it comes to having these
- 3:16situations show up. So you have to sit and take
- 3:19inventory of your life. It's one of the things that is a
- 3:22must. Every client that I work with,
- 3:25we take inventory. What's working, what's not
- 3:27working, what could be better. Some of them aren't always good
- 3:31at taking the inventory, and I have to bring up the
- 3:34observations for them, which is fine, but I'll be like, well, it
- 3:37seems like this. And then they can say yes or no.
- 3:40When you start asking these pertinent questions, you can
- 3:44start to make grand shifts very easily because you recognize
- 3:49it's the rock in the shoe. That's what we're looking for.
- 3:52It's the rock in the shoe. And then sometimes making shifts
- 3:55is not easy. I mean, let me be very clear
- 3:57about it. Sometimes changing what you're
- 3:59living in and with and tolerating is not easy, but the
- 4:03first step in that is recognizing that's the piece
- 4:07that that's sitting there. That's the part that's there.
- 4:09And you have to know, well, when is enough enough?
- 4:11When am I going to be so sick of this that I'm going to get rid
- 4:15of it now? I suffered from that myself
- 4:17about years ago when I was riddled with anxiety and I kept
- 4:22dealing with it and trying to figure it out, trying to figure
- 4:25it out. And then my one of my very first
- 4:28events where I saw Tony Robbins live, he was on stage and he
- 4:31said, are you just sick and tired of being sick and tired?
- 4:34And I burst into tears because I was, I was sick and tired of
- 4:38being sick and tired. And that was my when is enough
- 4:42enough. And as soon as I had that, I was
- 4:45like, now, now it is time. And that was a, that was a
- 4:48turning point for me psychologically because I could
- 4:51say I've had enough of myself and I'm not putting up with
- 4:54myself anymore. And as soon as that distinction
- 4:56was made, everything started to change.
- 4:59So I encourage you to figure that out for yourself because
- 5:02it's a turning point. It it's a benchmark.
- 5:05It's something that gives you such an ability and clarity to
- 5:08be able to change your world when you focus on that.
- 5:13So go figure out when is enough enough in any situation and say,
- 5:17what am I going to do now? What is my next step?
- 5:20What do I want to have as an outcome?
- 5:22What is my next small step to getting rid of it?
- 5:26And then all of a sudden, life starts to change.
- 5:29All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I
- 5:31will see you tomorrow. Bye.
