- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello, welcome back to Inside the Data On Inside the Birds.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I'm Jeff Mosher and of course we got our data
- 0:14Speaker 1: and analytics expert Sam Finkle with us, and we continue
- 0:17Speaker 1: to look at the twenty twenty six NFL Draft coming
- 0:20Speaker 1: up and the athletic testing that the participants put forth
- 0:25Speaker 1: at the combine. We do it by position, and this
- 0:28Speaker 1: position we're going to do in this podcast. As you know,
- 0:31Speaker 1: Sam will as always when we do this every years
- 0:34Speaker 1: one of the more listened to podcast because people love
- 0:37Speaker 1: the edge rusher position. And it just happens to coincide
- 0:41Speaker 1: with an interesting time for the Eagles, who probably thought
- 0:45Speaker 1: they were going to have Jalen Phillips back along with
- 0:47Speaker 1: Jylex Hunt and Nolan Smith to make a really nice
- 0:50Speaker 1: three man combination trio. But there is no Jalen Phillips.
- 0:57Speaker 1: He is off to the Carolina Panthers for an overwhelming
- 0:59Speaker 1: amount of money, and the Eagles, as they typically do,
- 1:03Speaker 1: signed a lot of guys to one year contracts. You know,
- 1:07Speaker 1: bridge players, rotational players, but really don't have now unless
- 1:13Speaker 1: you know they pull off some trade an avenue to
- 1:16Speaker 1: get at a real elite edge rusher. And so maybe
- 1:18Speaker 1: you look toward the draft.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Yeah, that's totally plausible.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, And you know I didn't think, you know,
- 1:25Speaker 1: you never know, you know, we do our free agent previews.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I didn't think Joe and Phillips would get into the
- 1:31Speaker 1: thirty million neighborhood. But I'm also not surprised. We saw
- 1:33Speaker 1: it with Milton Williams two years ago where our team
- 1:36Speaker 1: just blows everybody out of the water.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Absolutely, all right.
- 1:40Speaker 1: So the one thing about this edge rusher class that
- 1:43Speaker 1: I find really interesting, and I wanted to get your
- 1:45Speaker 1: overall viewpoint on this because we've discussed this about some
- 1:49Speaker 1: other positions as well before I bring up the charts,
- 1:53Speaker 1: is that when I was going through the truck that
- 1:55Speaker 1: you put up for edge Rusher, it really struck me
- 1:58Speaker 1: how it's not just like top fifteen guys. A lot
- 2:01Speaker 1: of guys just elected to not do certain things that
- 2:06Speaker 1: I think typically, you know, you think it benefits them,
- 2:09Speaker 1: but obviously if they don't do it, they don't think
- 2:10Speaker 1: they're gonna score well, or they just want to wait
- 2:13Speaker 1: for their pro day. But I mean, there was only
- 2:15Speaker 1: one person to do the shuttle. I think there was
- 2:17Speaker 1: only three people to do the bench like bench for
- 2:20Speaker 1: an edge rusher is kind of a big thing wide receiver,
- 2:23Speaker 1: not so much edge rusher. You'd like your front seven guys.
- 2:26Speaker 2: You can see it.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, two guys who did the three cone sou
- 2:31Speaker 1: I mean, it's weird that everybody wants to run the
- 2:33Speaker 1: forty when straight line speed for an edge rusher is
- 2:37Speaker 1: good but not always predictive of anything, but not do
- 2:40Speaker 1: other stuff that might be more predictive. What was your
- 2:42Speaker 1: thought on that?
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah, honestly, I just I feel like this class, particularly
- 2:48Speaker 2: at edge, is pretty top heavy, and I think that's
- 2:52Speaker 2: what the athletic data will show you. And I think
- 2:57Speaker 2: that if it wasn't so top heavy, you'd see probably
- 3:01Speaker 2: people doing more of these drills.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. But don't
- 3:07Speaker 1: you also go to the just because we've done a
- 3:10Speaker 1: couple of these positions now and it just seems like,
- 3:12Speaker 1: I don't know if it's what agents are telling their
- 3:15Speaker 1: players or things, but it just seems like there's a
- 3:17Speaker 1: lot of athletic testing that's being skipped overall by positions.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I agree. I think that's a general trend that we're seeing.
- 3:23Speaker 2: It's super interesting. I think that a lot of teams,
- 3:28Speaker 2: a lot of players will opt for their pro days
- 3:32Speaker 2: just because well, I think if you think about it
- 3:34Speaker 2: this way, I'll give you some inside baseball right now,
- 3:37Speaker 2: which I I love it inside football right now. But
- 3:40Speaker 2: Penn states the way it's built, it's a little bit
- 3:44Speaker 2: at an angle. The actual facility, the train last like
- 3:48Speaker 2: the what it was that they renovated it. But you
- 3:52Speaker 2: would be able to run theoretically a faster forty yard dash, yes,
- 3:56Speaker 2: because of the angle. Yes, And so mean schools have
- 4:01Speaker 2: those kind of you know, it is kind of like
- 4:04Speaker 2: baseball where every stadium is a little bit different, although
- 4:08Speaker 2: every training facility is a little bit different, and there's
- 4:10Speaker 2: like certain advantages. There's a comfortability factor of it. You know,
- 4:14Speaker 2: I'm at my you know where home was for three
- 4:17Speaker 2: or four years for each player, right, So I think
- 4:21Speaker 2: there's a level of comfort, there's some sort of level
- 4:24Speaker 2: of advantage potentially, Yeah, And I think that's a lot
- 4:29Speaker 2: of Also, you could buy more time, right, I mean,
- 4:31Speaker 2: like let's say, not saying that like a week or
- 4:34Speaker 2: two or three weeks is really going to make that
- 4:36Speaker 2: much of a difference, But if you're nursing an injury,
- 4:38Speaker 2: it could.
- 4:39Speaker 1: That's true. That's true. There's a lot of variables. There's
- 4:41Speaker 1: also the upside potentially of performing at the Combine and
- 4:45Speaker 1: then three weeks later at your own place you do
- 4:48Speaker 1: better and say say, hey, you look, you improved. It's
- 4:50Speaker 1: like you take the SATs. Once you get a decent grade,
- 4:54Speaker 1: you take it again. You get a lot better. It's
- 4:56Speaker 1: not just that you're held to that score standard. You're like, hey,
- 4:58Speaker 1: this person improved their score by x amount, but they
- 5:01Speaker 1: worked hard, you know, Like, so there's some benefits to that.
- 5:03Speaker 1: But I also think that your point is accurate that
- 5:07Speaker 1: the more time, the less risk of injury at the combine.
- 5:11Speaker 1: The lack of I would say that the NFL itself.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I don't want to say they're devaluing the combine, but
- 5:20Speaker 1: I think the RAMS don't send anybody, you know, outside
- 5:22Speaker 1: of a few personnel people there, a lot of coaches
- 5:24Speaker 1: don't go to the Senior Bowl anymore. So I think
- 5:29Speaker 1: it's a good in that you really should. Your tape
- 5:32Speaker 1: is supposed to speak to what you do, and this
- 5:35Speaker 1: validates that. Right, Yeah, you know your athletic tell you're not.
- 5:39Speaker 1: The NFL doesn't want to get into NFL teams that
- 5:41Speaker 1: are smart, don't want to just draft workout warriors. You know,
- 5:45Speaker 1: they've been conned before and so this is a good
- 5:48Speaker 1: way to avoid it. But I think for the player
- 5:50Speaker 1: it's still the one thing that the testing does. When
- 5:55Speaker 1: you test really well, it makes scouts go back to
- 5:59Speaker 1: the tape and watch and cross reference, and honestly, I
- 6:02Speaker 1: do think it puts a bias in their head because
- 6:04Speaker 1: they feel like they miss something and then they go
- 6:06Speaker 1: back and watch the tape and they're like, oh, well,
- 6:09Speaker 1: you know it's it's a preconceived a little bit of
- 6:11Speaker 1: a or a confirmation bias. Yeah, or I guess it
- 6:14Speaker 1: would be the opposite. It would be a because you
- 6:17Speaker 1: originally have one viewpoint and then you saw the athletic
- 6:19Speaker 1: testing and then yeah, the athletic testing becomes a confirmation
- 6:22Speaker 1: bias and now what you're seeing on tape. So there
- 6:25Speaker 1: are some benefits to it, but I mean, I think
- 6:27Speaker 1: for the overall fan element of it, Sam people like
- 6:30Speaker 1: to watch these guys go out to the combine and
- 6:32Speaker 1: partake in all these events and you know they're just
- 6:35Speaker 1: not doing is like they used to.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, all right, So let's talk about the edge
- 6:40Speaker 2: rusher group.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Then show everybody the charts that you put together there's
- 6:44Speaker 1: a lot more of these guys than there were, say,
- 6:46Speaker 1: like safeties are tight end, so I can't, you know,
- 6:50Speaker 1: in order to fit it in all the screen, I
- 6:52Speaker 1: got to lower the size here. So what I think
- 6:56Speaker 1: I want of doing is because I don't really like
- 6:58Speaker 1: the way that looks. So I'm gonna blow up and
- 7:00Speaker 1: then we'll go through the first half and then like this.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's about it's They're all in alphabetical order, correct.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I did will I almost pondered grouping it by athleticism score,
- 7:11Speaker 1: so we just go through the top athlete, but I
- 7:12Speaker 1: didn't want to do that.
- 7:13Speaker 2: I didn't We could do that, that's totally.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Yeah, No, I know we could, but I don't mind
- 7:16Speaker 1: doing it this way.
- 7:17Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 7:18Speaker 1: So we'll look at the first like twenty or so
- 7:20Speaker 1: guys in the list, and then we'll go because there's
- 7:23Speaker 1: about forty so yeah, it'll be half and half. Go ahead.
- 7:28Speaker 1: So you're gonna make a point.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Sure, I certainly can make a point.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Sure, I think this speaks to the top heaviness. By
- 7:35Speaker 1: the way your chart.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Here, Yeah, I think we've had some of the highest
- 7:39Speaker 2: highs and lowest lows in this there's a lot of
- 7:43Speaker 2: fifty and sixty scores, which we really haven't seen at
- 7:47Speaker 2: any of their positions. Really that at this like volume, right,
- 7:52Speaker 2: which I think speaks to the top heavy part of
- 7:56Speaker 2: this class. I mean, on this particular kular section, we
- 8:01Speaker 2: have actually pretty much everybody that's our metalist from the
- 8:06Speaker 2: athleticism score standard is pretty much on here. One guy's
- 8:11Speaker 2: kind of cut off. We'll talk about him in the
- 8:13Speaker 2: second half, but I mean there's a lot of metalists
- 8:17Speaker 2: that are in this top alphabetical portion of it. Yeah,
- 8:22Speaker 2: I think we should just talk top down. Sure, Sure,
- 8:26Speaker 2: obviously Aiden Hubbard was with the third best bench, but
- 8:32Speaker 2: I mean they were only and that's all he did
- 8:35Speaker 2: all he did, So I don't know how much that's
- 8:37Speaker 2: worth talking about.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Well, I think you know, we're obviously not gonna be
- 8:41Speaker 1: able to get to every single name, right, so let's
- 8:43Speaker 1: get to well, let's talk about some of the bigger names.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Day one, day two, day three guys. So Messador from
- 8:48Speaker 1: Miami is a difficult discussion because he didn't do anything right,
- 8:52Speaker 1: goes to my point, and so his athleticism score is
- 8:56Speaker 1: sixty nine is basically highly wayed by his just as
- 9:01Speaker 1: measurables correct. Right. Reese. On the other hand, Arville Reese,
- 9:06Speaker 1: who some draft experts might tell you will be the
- 9:10Speaker 1: first edge rusher taken in the draft or among the
- 9:12Speaker 1: top three or four, clearly clearly thought Sam that he
- 9:18Speaker 1: was going to be very impressive in the dash and
- 9:21Speaker 1: obviously the ten yard split of it, because he did that,
- 9:23Speaker 1: did nothing else and then golded in both.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, yeah, I mean that is gold, right, yeah, yeah,
- 9:29Speaker 2: that is gold. Yes, so double gold. He got it
- 9:33Speaker 2: in the split and the forty yard dash, and he said,
- 9:36Speaker 2: that's that's the day. Yeah, we're calling it. And yet
- 9:40Speaker 2: he still only has a seventy nine athleticism score, which
- 9:44Speaker 2: is a little bit interesting, is.
- 9:46Speaker 1: That I don't have his measurables exactly in front of me.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I can get them really quick. But I assume that's why.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that is almost definitively why.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It's I mean, he's six four, two forty, so he's
- 9:59Speaker 1: a little light the edge of two forty, but six
- 10:01Speaker 1: four is not bad. Nine and a half hands hants.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I mean, you'd like a guy with ten, but like
- 10:07Speaker 1: that's not the biggest thing in the world. Thirty two
- 10:09Speaker 1: and a half arms, So I would say that they're good,
- 10:13Speaker 1: not like exceptional measurables.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, and that's that's kind of what hurts him.
- 10:20Speaker 2: I think that when when they get his pro day data,
- 10:24Speaker 2: I think he'll his athleticism score will go up. I
- 10:27Speaker 2: think he's a guy that letson score will go up.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Right. This is a guy that if people don't aren't
- 10:34Speaker 1: familiar with his game at Ohio State, he's sort of
- 10:37Speaker 1: like this growing crop of players, and John Campbell would
- 10:41Speaker 1: fit that ball where edge rusher one day off full
- 10:45Speaker 1: hibacker the other day. He's kind of a tweener. He
- 10:48Speaker 1: can do both. They're not a one hundred percent sure
- 10:50Speaker 1: where what he's going to be, but they're pretty damn
- 10:53Speaker 1: sure based on his production in college, and you know
- 10:56Speaker 1: his athletic traits that wherever you put him, he's gonna
- 10:59Speaker 1: be good.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Yeah. I couldn't have said it better myself.
- 11:04Speaker 1: So I mean, he's gonna wind up rushing the passer
- 11:07Speaker 1: no matter where you put him. Like I don't want
- 11:09Speaker 1: to listen. I want to call him Michael Parsons, But
- 11:11Speaker 1: like you know, deployment will be the question, production will not.
- 11:16Speaker 2: That's a good way. I really like that phrasing. That
- 11:18Speaker 2: sounds good to me.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Cool, So, I mean his teammate Kayden Curry did absolutely nothing.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Cassius Howell is a guy. Andrew de Checko's written about
- 11:29Speaker 1: kind of a Day two guy. I don't know, maybe
- 11:31Speaker 1: he can sneak into bottom day one.
- 11:33Speaker 2: You never know.
- 11:33Speaker 1: But a really good pass rusher out of A and
- 11:35Speaker 1: M looks like he decided to buck the trend and
- 11:38Speaker 1: do a lot of stuff.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah he did, and he gold metaled in the split,
- 11:43Speaker 2: which honestly is more important for an edge rusher than
- 11:47Speaker 2: the forty yard dash.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Explain why I'm glad you brought that up.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Well, it's it's really just about how explosive you are
- 11:54Speaker 2: in that short distance. And really, as an edge rusher,
- 11:57Speaker 2: that's kind of what your job is, right, especially against
- 12:02Speaker 2: the pass. And you know, like when you're pass rushing,
- 12:04Speaker 2: you want to be able to quickly accelerate, and so
- 12:08Speaker 2: the split really measures how fast you accelerate. Right.
- 12:12Speaker 1: As I always like to say, Sam, if you're an
- 12:14Speaker 1: edge rusher, you are not forty yards away from the quarterback.
- 12:18Speaker 2: So that time of service.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Yeah, and if you're making a tackle forty yards downfield
- 12:24Speaker 1: and an edge rusher, well, kudos to you for you know,
- 12:27Speaker 1: having that kind of reverse direction ability, but that's not
- 12:30Speaker 1: really what you know they need you for. Absolutely, yeah,
- 12:35Speaker 1: so yeah, I think the ten yard the split is
- 12:37Speaker 1: it's ten yard right, ten yards split?
- 12:39Speaker 2: It is a ten yard split.
- 12:40Speaker 1: That's much more realistic for how how far you are
- 12:43Speaker 1: as an edge rusher from the QB and your time
- 12:47Speaker 1: there is more important. He tied Arvel Reese for the
- 12:51Speaker 1: fastest split.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, so well, well said, for sure. There you
- 12:57Speaker 2: know who the next guy we got to talk about is?
- 13:00Speaker 1: You know what I gotta say. This surprised me a
- 13:02Speaker 1: little bit, and maybe because as Penn State observers, we
- 13:06Speaker 1: have been so accustomed to guys who are just so
- 13:10Speaker 1: freakishly athletic. Abdul Carter, Micah Parsons oay right, who blew
- 13:16Speaker 1: up the combine. When I watch Denied Dennis Sutton play
- 13:20Speaker 1: DDS as we call him, I always thought he had
- 13:23Speaker 1: more of a power and like will determination element of
- 13:27Speaker 1: his game than overall like great athleticism. But apparently his
- 13:32Speaker 1: athleticism was pretty darn good.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with you. I think the film shows
- 13:39Speaker 2: more of the former rather than the latter, but it's
- 13:42Speaker 2: nice to see his athleticism is still there. You know,
- 13:46Speaker 2: I think teams would feel really good that there's both, right.
- 13:50Speaker 2: I mean, that's what you're looking for in terms of
- 13:53Speaker 2: a composite and overall prospect. So and he was the
- 13:59Speaker 2: gold medal finisher in athleticism score yep. And it does
- 14:05Speaker 2: help that he did most of the drills. I think
- 14:08Speaker 2: that the and did relatively well in most of the drills. Yep.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Yeah, he he was. I think he stayed in school,
- 14:19Speaker 1: like I guess he could have come out. I think
- 14:20Speaker 1: this is this the guy who benefited by staying one
- 14:22Speaker 1: more year even though Penn State had not a great
- 14:26Speaker 1: year obviously in a whole lot of change, but he
- 14:29Speaker 1: really kind of took that leadership role this past year,
- 14:33Speaker 1: held the team together. You know, they finished strong with
- 14:36Speaker 1: Terry Smith as the head coach, and he was a
- 14:38Speaker 1: big part of that. I think he's a day to
- 14:40Speaker 1: guy who has the potential to really emerge, you know,
- 14:45Speaker 1: in three or four years into his career as a real,
- 14:48Speaker 1: real good cornerstone type of you know, I'm trying to
- 14:52Speaker 1: think like who I could like relate him to almost
- 14:55Speaker 1: like a remember Justin Tuck from the Giants, like a
- 14:58Speaker 1: good player out of Notre Dame kind of had like
- 15:01Speaker 1: an it really like as his career got on, he
- 15:03Speaker 1: got better and better and started to like really refine
- 15:06Speaker 1: his moves. But that I think Dennis Sutton's gonna be
- 15:09Speaker 1: a good player for somebody.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I think so too. But I do think you're right.
- 15:12Speaker 2: I do think there's gonna be a little bit of
- 15:14Speaker 2: a time where he needs to develop and grow into
- 15:17Speaker 2: this NFL player role, and a good one at that.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Yeah. Good stys by the way, six six two fifty six,
- 15:23Speaker 1: thirty three and a half arms. That's good ten ten
- 15:26Speaker 1: and one a tens. So that's good stuff for him.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I like, I'm gonna be very curious to see
- 15:33Speaker 1: where this guy. I had a feeling he was going
- 15:35Speaker 1: to be a day like a second or a third
- 15:37Speaker 1: round guy after his season was over. But I feel
- 15:40Speaker 1: like when you test like that plus your production, and
- 15:43Speaker 1: he's a great character kid that probably earmarked himself for
- 15:46Speaker 1: the second round.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Like floor agreed with you. Yeah, I mean everything screams
- 15:53Speaker 2: like this seems like a good investment by a team.
- 15:56Speaker 1: So all right, Next guy shout out to uh David
- 16:00Speaker 1: Right for Texas Tech because he uh did a lot
- 16:04Speaker 1: of the athletic testing, even though he's also projected to
- 16:07Speaker 1: be a first round guy.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely. And his athleticism score is actually the same
- 16:12Speaker 2: as r Vel Reese's, which is super interesting. Yeah, silver
- 16:17Speaker 2: medaled in the forty yard dash at a four five
- 16:19Speaker 2: zero flat and that which is very fast. Uh, and
- 16:24Speaker 2: the broad jump is ten oh nine.
- 16:26Speaker 1: So this is what the NFL looks for, like the
- 16:31Speaker 1: combination of production and athleticism, a guy that you feel.
- 16:37Speaker 1: They call him the quote unquote safe picks, even though
- 16:41Speaker 1: we know there's really no not a safe pick, but
- 16:43Speaker 1: a phenomenal player who tests well. I don't know much
- 16:47Speaker 1: about the kid, like character wise or anything like that.
- 16:50Speaker 1: But he's six four two fifty one thirty three and
- 16:53Speaker 1: three quarters arms that's great, ten and a quarter hands
- 16:56Speaker 1: really good. Yeah, I mean this is Look, he's Jeremiah Daniel,
- 17:01Speaker 1: Jeremiah's number three overall prospect. So I know on NFL
- 17:07Speaker 1: dot Com, the lands sire Lines does these NFL comparisons,
- 17:12Speaker 1: and if you're familiar with Lance's work, he puts a
- 17:15Speaker 1: lot of thought into his company. He doesn't just say
- 17:17Speaker 1: like this quarterback reminds me of Peyton Manning and this
- 17:21Speaker 1: running back reminds me of like Emmett Smith, Like he
- 17:23Speaker 1: really tries hard to find like the right size to
- 17:27Speaker 1: mention legitimate, you know, prospect comp and he has Nick
- 17:34Speaker 1: Benito as Bailey's prospect comps. So I think that that's
- 17:38Speaker 1: pretty promising right there.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so too. Definitely a fan of Bailey's game,
- 17:44Speaker 2: and uh, I'm interested to see how he translates that
- 17:47Speaker 2: next level. Maybe it will be Nick Benito esque. We'll see. Yeah.
- 17:51Speaker 1: So, so really, of the guys we've spoke about from
- 17:54Speaker 1: an Eagles vantage point, you know, dds would probably be
- 17:57Speaker 1: the most likely gettable guy for them because Reese and
- 18:02Speaker 1: Resent and Bailey are going to be off the board
- 18:05Speaker 1: pretty quickly. You're talking about number three and number four
- 18:07Speaker 1: on Jeremiah's top one hundred.
- 18:10Speaker 2: So I agree with you.
- 18:12Speaker 1: All right, a couple of guys we have on the
- 18:15Speaker 1: list that didn't do anything. And then I don't know
- 18:18Speaker 1: much about George Gumms Junior, do you?
- 18:21Speaker 2: I don't, But I think you got to talk about
- 18:23Speaker 2: the guy right above him first, just because he bronze medaled.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I missed that.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Okay, gold on the bench.
- 18:33Speaker 1: And it pretty is impressive by the way, on the bench.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think a lot of it has to
- 18:38Speaker 2: do with just his frame, and I don't know. I
- 18:41Speaker 2: just worth mentioning his name. Go for it, So, Gabe Jacas.
- 18:47Speaker 1: So what you didn't mention is that you were hoping
- 18:48Speaker 1: I would because you weren't sure how to pronounce that name.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I was. I was hoping that maybe you would, you
- 18:54Speaker 2: would take one for the team.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Well, unfortunately I'm not familiar as, which is weird because
- 19:00Speaker 1: I'm usually good on the big ten guys. But it's
- 19:03Speaker 1: either Jacas or Jacis.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's probably Jacas because I said Jacas just
- 19:07Speaker 2: probably to be honest with you, that's just how it works.
- 19:10Speaker 2: And I'm sure we'll get a comment that's like it
- 19:13Speaker 2: was Jacos, but that's okay.
- 19:16Speaker 1: I'm probably like you know, like the Jay is silent.
- 19:24Speaker 2: But either way, I just think it's worth mentioning him.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I'm not as familiar with him either, to be honest
- 19:30Speaker 2: with you, he's probably a Day three guy.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Right, I would think so. Again, don't know much about him.
- 19:39Speaker 1: It's not like he's top fifty on on Jeremiah's list
- 19:42Speaker 1: or anything like that. He is a big guy, so
- 19:45Speaker 1: that makes sense why he was able to put up
- 19:47Speaker 1: thirty in the bench. He's six four two sixty thirty
- 19:50Speaker 1: three inch arms, ten inch hands. So he's played a
- 19:56Speaker 1: lot of football. I think he played since his freshman
- 19:59Speaker 1: year year at Illinois. I think he's one of the
- 20:02Speaker 1: rare guys who actually has been at Illinois is entire career,
- 20:06Speaker 1: if I'm not mistaken.
- 20:08Speaker 2: So that's that's that's that's an.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Easy right up for the scout who doesn't have to
- 20:12Speaker 1: go and you know, find like five different schools that
- 20:14Speaker 1: the guy played with, so it's.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Very commonplace in this day and age.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Right, right, So he would strike me as probably someone
- 20:23Speaker 1: who's a power rusher, a bull rusher, probably has to
- 20:28Speaker 1: work on some of his you know, hand usage and
- 20:31Speaker 1: other things like that to excel at the level. But
- 20:33Speaker 1: you know, obviously when you you got to got people
- 20:35Speaker 1: look for, especially on on day two in early day three, Sam,
- 20:39Speaker 1: they're looking for your rundown defensive ends, your first and
- 20:43Speaker 1: second down, and then you hope they develop into a
- 20:45Speaker 1: three down line and he would probably qualify there.
- 20:47Speaker 2: I think that's a really good way to put it
- 20:49Speaker 2: for sure. All Right, let's talk about gums now, Yeah,
- 20:54Speaker 2: decent athleticism score. You know, he gold medaled in the
- 20:58Speaker 2: vertical jump at forty one, which is pretty impressive, and
- 21:03Speaker 2: his split wasn't bad. His forty is wasn't bad, his
- 21:07Speaker 2: broad was pretty good, and he also silver medaled in
- 21:11Speaker 2: the three cone, which again only doesn't mean that much
- 21:14Speaker 2: when only two guys did it, so right, right.
- 21:18Speaker 1: So this is this is a classic case of a
- 21:20Speaker 1: guy who always makes me like ponder, like how right?
- 21:24Speaker 1: Like when a guy runs a fat everybody trains for
- 21:27Speaker 1: the forty. So let's say you have a couple guys
- 21:30Speaker 1: on this list who are have good forty times but
- 21:33Speaker 1: not great in other stuff. That I don't question that,
- 21:36Speaker 1: because every you know, you're just running in a straight line.
- 21:38Speaker 1: But I've always wondered about the guys who have like
- 21:41Speaker 1: modest or average athletic testing in almost every single category,
- 21:45Speaker 1: but then they happen to get a medal in one.
- 21:47Speaker 1: And in this case, Gums just happens to have a
- 21:49Speaker 1: really good vertical Yeah, nothing else he does is athletically
- 21:55Speaker 1: extremely impressive. It's not bad. I mean he was the
- 21:58Speaker 1: I mean we're gonna give him the uh, the silver
- 22:01Speaker 1: in the three cone, right because he was right, the
- 22:06Speaker 1: only two guys did it.
- 22:06Speaker 2: But he is impressive. I think that is worth mentioning
- 22:10Speaker 2: it is.
- 22:10Speaker 1: That's my point is that he just knocks one category
- 22:13Speaker 1: out of the box.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Good for him?
- 22:16Speaker 1: Yeah, like did you just is that just a natural
- 22:19Speaker 1: in hey? And the guy could always just jump high?
- 22:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean there you go. Yeah, maybe a good
- 22:24Speaker 2: basketball player.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Now you definitely have to consider this guy for the
- 22:28Speaker 1: Eagles for one reason alone.
- 22:30Speaker 2: And what's that Florida? Yeah, there you go.
- 22:33Speaker 1: How you know, best available Gator when you get into uh,
- 22:36Speaker 1: into the certain deeper rounds of the draft.
- 22:38Speaker 2: There you go.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Why do you think Damian Pierce is a member of
- 22:41Speaker 1: the Eagles.
- 22:42Speaker 2: You know, that's a good point. That's a really good point.
- 22:45Speaker 2: I mean they lost AJ Dillon, they had to replace that.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Absolutely, that is true. I do make that joke. But
- 22:51Speaker 1: now that I think about it, I don't think how
- 22:53Speaker 1: he has drafted a guy from Florida in a couple
- 22:57Speaker 1: of years now. I can't remember the last guy they
- 23:00Speaker 1: drafted from Florida.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm like blanking on it too.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it can't be McAllister, that like six foot seven
- 23:07Speaker 1: d n they want? Oh no, because then there was
- 23:08Speaker 1: Joeen Watkins. Here was a Florida guy. But that was
- 23:11Speaker 1: still like twenty fifteen fourteen that might have been actually
- 23:14Speaker 1: might have been a chip draft. So I have to
- 23:16Speaker 1: go back and look. But we always joke with Howie
- 23:19Speaker 1: I'm best available.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Gator McAllister was twenty sixteen watchings.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a long time ago.
- 23:26Speaker 2: I think those are the last ones actually.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Crazy all right, So we'll move the list on a
- 23:33Speaker 1: little bit. Now, here's an interesting guy from Michigan, j
- 23:37Speaker 1: Jashawn bar him where at least he participated and maybe
- 23:42Speaker 1: this is the example of why you shouldn't. I don't know.
- 23:45Speaker 1: He just didn't do anything overwhelmingly well in any of
- 23:48Speaker 1: the four categories he tested in.
- 23:51Speaker 2: See you say that just because he didn't meddle. But honestly,
- 23:53Speaker 2: I'm I'm pretty content with his broad jump.
- 23:57Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I'm pretty content with his split, Like I honestly think
- 24:02Speaker 2: he did okay, Like I don't have any issue. Is
- 24:05Speaker 2: vertical is a little bit lower than what you would.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Hope, Yeah, especially compared to gums is forty one.
- 24:13Speaker 2: I mean that that does bias us a little bit,
- 24:15Speaker 2: but like you really just went over thirty five, like
- 24:17Speaker 2: that typically is what you're looking for. I know we
- 24:20Speaker 2: said that for safety, which is a little bit it's
- 24:22Speaker 2: gonna be different, but I think thirty five is like
- 24:24Speaker 2: a really clean mark just for understanding. And again this
- 24:27Speaker 2: is not a perfect science, but I think thirty five
- 24:31Speaker 2: is what you're looking for. It's not that far off.
- 24:33Speaker 2: But I'm pretty content with his split and his broad jump.
- 24:37Speaker 1: It's a great point because the one six to one
- 24:38Speaker 1: split is not far off from the one five eights
- 24:42Speaker 1: that Reese and Howell put forth, which we're gold finishes
- 24:46Speaker 1: there and just a little bit from whoever got silver
- 24:49Speaker 1: and bronze, So you're right, he's right outside there. So
- 24:51Speaker 1: that's a good showing by just Sean. And same thing
- 24:54Speaker 1: with the broad at ten oh three, which is not
- 24:56Speaker 1: too far from you know what was the silver ten
- 25:00Speaker 1: ten ten? Okay, so that's not better than the bronze
- 25:03Speaker 1: with ten on nine, So you're right. These show you
- 25:05Speaker 1: he has good athletes. He does not have extremely great athleticism,
- 25:09Speaker 1: but if you're still a very good.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Athlete, yeah, he's not an elite athlete, but he's an athlete. Right.
- 25:14Speaker 1: All right, Let's see who do we want to talk
- 25:17Speaker 1: about next. We should talk about Lawrence Melika. We should
- 25:22Speaker 1: talk about Keldric Falk.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, that's fair.
- 25:25Speaker 1: We could do that because he might be one of
- 25:27Speaker 1: those guys who is a day to guy. I know,
- 25:31Speaker 1: to check who's written about him. He's twenty eighth actually
- 25:33Speaker 1: on Daniel Jeremiah's list, And again his score is a
- 25:38Speaker 1: little bit weaited. But he didn't do everything, but he
- 25:40Speaker 1: he did do some things, so we can get into him.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, his athleticism scores at seventy five overall,
- 25:48Speaker 2: and that's mostly weighted by you know, his measurables. But
- 25:53Speaker 2: he also did do two of the drills. I mean,
- 25:55Speaker 2: his vertical was at thirty five, which is the magic
- 25:58Speaker 2: number that I keep for insing. And then his broad
- 26:02Speaker 2: was nine oh nine, which is again I kind of
- 26:04Speaker 2: like when they're in when they're over ten mm hmm.
- 26:07Speaker 2: But nine oh nine is not that far off. So
- 26:09Speaker 2: I mean, no, not bad.
- 26:11Speaker 1: And he has good size. He's six six, two seventy six.
- 26:14Speaker 1: You love six six on the edge, especially at two
- 26:16Speaker 1: seventy six. That means he's got some some power. He's
- 26:19Speaker 1: probably got some good quickness and speed. Thirty almost thirty
- 26:22Speaker 1: five inch arms, hands are It's weird. This has been
- 26:26Speaker 1: a weird year. We were talking to Greg Cosel about
- 26:28Speaker 1: this with like the offensive lineman, there are a bunch
- 26:32Speaker 1: of offensive linemen Sam who are like six six three
- 26:36Speaker 1: point thirty have this huge wingspan, like seventy five eighty
- 26:40Speaker 1: inch wingspan, but they have small hands. I don't get it.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Just where everybody's built differently, you know, like this year
- 26:50Speaker 1: is like a small hand group happens it does so Yeah,
- 26:56Speaker 1: so falk, I think he he gave you what you're
- 26:59Speaker 1: looking for, at least as far as baseline athleticism in
- 27:02Speaker 1: the two events that he did.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd be okay with those numbers that they don't
- 27:06Speaker 2: bother me, don't scare me off.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Right. Is this logan fan from Utah related to Spencer
- 27:13Speaker 1: Fano and the other fane that we.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Talked about, I don't know.
- 27:16Speaker 1: It's gotta be right.
- 27:18Speaker 2: You would think you would think there's.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Like three fans in this draft. It's like the entire
- 27:23Speaker 1: fo family.
- 27:24Speaker 2: You ready for a really bad joke. Yeah, I don't
- 27:27Speaker 2: for know.
- 27:29Speaker 1: I know his dad, I'm a dad and I.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Know, but he kind of set me up for it
- 27:34Speaker 2: and I made it all right.
- 27:36Speaker 1: We can pass through the Logan and get to Malchi
- 27:39Speaker 1: Lawrence from UCF.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Very happy with his combine. I'm sure he was very
- 27:44Speaker 2: happy with his combine. He meddled in every event that
- 27:46Speaker 2: he did. Second highest athleticism score four the forty one
- 27:52Speaker 2: nine on the split, which is hair of a second
- 27:54Speaker 2: away from being gold. He hits forty from the vertical
- 28:00Speaker 2: and ten ten on the broad. I mean, those are
- 28:02Speaker 2: excellent numbers all around. That's exactly what you're looking for.
- 28:05Speaker 2: He killed the combine.
- 28:07Speaker 1: That and the only thing you'd have to worry about
- 28:09Speaker 1: with him, right is is he one of those workout warriors.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I mean, he's not a guy who's considered a first
- 28:17Speaker 1: round pick. I'm trying to get the measurables on him.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Six four, two fifty three so decent height, weight, a
- 28:27Speaker 1: little bit undersized, that's fine. I mean we're used to
- 28:30Speaker 1: seeing two fifty on the edges now in the NFL.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Yeah again, under ten inch hans, thirty three and five
- 28:38Speaker 1: eighths arms not bad, not highly productive in college as
- 28:43Speaker 1: far as he was all big twelve. But ye, it's
- 28:47Speaker 1: weird to say a guy from central Florida is all
- 28:49Speaker 1: big twelve. Sorry, seven sacks eleven tackles for a loss
- 28:53Speaker 1: twelve So I mean so his you know, the year
- 28:56Speaker 1: before five sacks, so the production doesn't jump out at you,
- 29:01Speaker 1: but he gotta like that six four two fifty kind
- 29:05Speaker 1: of size combo with the athleticism. Yeah, Zeroleon's prospect comp
- 29:09Speaker 1: was Josh Sweat, So that's pretty interesting.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Oh, I like that quite a bit. I think he
- 29:15Speaker 2: is a guy. The thing when we're talking about workout
- 29:18Speaker 2: warriors is I think it's only problematic if it pushes
- 29:21Speaker 2: you from like a day three to a day one guy. Right,
- 29:24Speaker 2: And this guy was not going to be a Day
- 29:26Speaker 2: one guy anyway, correct, So I don't I don't know.
- 29:30Speaker 2: I kind of really like him as a prospect. I
- 29:35Speaker 2: liked him before you said the Josh Sweat comp. I
- 29:38Speaker 2: don't know. I think if you take a swing at
- 29:40Speaker 2: this guy in day three, you feel really good about it.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Yeah, early he'll probably be. Well, it's just like Sweat
- 29:46Speaker 1: was a fourth round. I mean, this guy is probably
- 29:47Speaker 1: going to be either. If he's not late third, it'll
- 29:49Speaker 1: probably be somewhere in the fourth or early fifth.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Yeah, and you feel good about it, honestly.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Sure? Sure, I mean he can start off if the
- 29:58Speaker 1: athleticism is the key for him and he's not the
- 30:00Speaker 1: biggest guy and not the best run defender, not the
- 30:02Speaker 1: greatest technician. Then you throw him into your three or
- 30:06Speaker 1: four person pass rush and you have a DPR kind
- 30:08Speaker 1: of guy.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Yeah, And honestly I would like his fit on the
- 30:12Speaker 2: Eagles rotation.
- 30:14Speaker 1: So all right, we got to talk about Mason Rieger
- 30:18Speaker 1: because Wisconsin is not known for always putting out the
- 30:21Speaker 1: guys who are gonna meddle athletically. Usually they put out
- 30:25Speaker 1: the fundamental lunch pale, you know, middle linebacker and of
- 30:30Speaker 1: the Ligneman type. But Mason Rigger did a decent job. Yeah,
- 30:33Speaker 1: he did, like even like to your point, even in
- 30:37Speaker 1: the categories he didn't meddle in he wasn't.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Far off, agreed. I mean his forty is not great, Yeah,
- 30:44Speaker 2: that was more to split. This split matters way more.
- 30:47Speaker 2: And the split is really good, Like, that is a
- 30:49Speaker 2: great split. He just lost a little bit of steam
- 30:53Speaker 2: on the other thirty yards. But his vertical is good.
- 30:58Speaker 2: His broad is good, actually excellent. I think it's a
- 31:01Speaker 2: better way to describe it.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Yep.
- 31:03Speaker 2: And that's why partially that he is the bronze medalist
- 31:07Speaker 2: or tied for the bronze medalist for athleticism score.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Yeah, that's good. This is interesting. So again, I'm not
- 31:15Speaker 1: a kid who is going to appear on Daniel Jeremiah's
- 31:19Speaker 1: top one hundred, so you're talking about a day two,
- 31:21Speaker 1: day three guy. But there's a good baseline amount of eth.
- 31:25Speaker 1: This is kind of like what do the Eagles look
- 31:27Speaker 1: for right on these Day two or day three, Like
- 31:30Speaker 1: guys who have a good combination of athleticism and can
- 31:33Speaker 1: help you out as a rotational player and then hopefully
- 31:37Speaker 1: they get the coached up into becoming a potential starter
- 31:39Speaker 1: down the road.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Yeah. I think they're just you would call them high
- 31:42Speaker 2: upside guys. Yes, and you're right, that's exactly what the
- 31:46Speaker 2: Eagles typically look for, especially later in the draft.
- 31:49Speaker 1: So awesome. Now interesting the bottom of the list as
- 31:52Speaker 1: we get to here, and this is again for people
- 31:55Speaker 1: listening or watching, the bottom of the list just means
- 31:58Speaker 1: that they're in alphabetical just have last names that past
- 32:02Speaker 1: past h. But the our first names, I mean, there
- 32:08Speaker 1: we see a lot more athletic testing here from this group.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely, there's definitely a couple of guys worth mentioning.
- 32:16Speaker 2: But I think we should go right to Romelo height
- 32:19Speaker 2: h the other Texas Tech Edge Rusher. Great name, by
- 32:25Speaker 2: the way, right, it's a very pro sports game. I
- 32:29Speaker 2: don't know, but good forty, good split, good vertical and
- 32:37Speaker 2: good broad I mean really solid testing overall highest athleticism
- 32:42Speaker 2: score on this after Rager, So definitely worth mentioning, just
- 32:50Speaker 2: the even in passing. I think he's worth mentioning. But
- 32:52Speaker 2: I know everyone wants to talk about the guy underneath him.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Yeah, real quick though on Romelo height and this is
- 32:58Speaker 1: what we were just talking six three tooth thirty nine,
- 33:01Speaker 1: like very very light on the edge.
- 33:04Speaker 2: So yeah, interesting, But Rubin Bain is the next guy.
- 33:11Speaker 1: All the Miami guys just basically sat on their amazing season.
- 33:15Speaker 2: And do you blame them honestly? Yeah? No, yeah no.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Now here's the thing. His athleticism score is based just
- 33:23Speaker 2: solely on his measurables, and he's not great, right right,
- 33:26Speaker 2: And he's at seventy two. Had he tested, I'm telling
- 33:30Speaker 2: you this right now, he might be a silver or
- 33:34Speaker 2: bronze medalist and it's only because of his measurables that
- 33:38Speaker 2: he wouldn't be gold. There's a reason why he's the
- 33:41Speaker 2: number one projected edg Rusher. I forget was his hands
- 33:46Speaker 2: or was it arms? The issue or was it both.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I think it's the arms. I'll let you know in
- 33:51Speaker 1: one second.
- 33:52Speaker 2: But that hurt him for sure.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Yeah, his whole build is by the way, for those
- 33:56Speaker 1: who may not have seen him plays, he's like kind
- 33:58Speaker 1: of like a real compact, squarely built guy, you know,
- 34:03Speaker 1: Like he's not your typical law like nowadays Ed Rusher.
- 34:07Speaker 1: You tend to see more length, long arms type of guys,
- 34:11Speaker 1: you know, but he's a little bit of a throwback.
- 34:13Speaker 2: I would say, yeah, I think so too. But there
- 34:17Speaker 2: he is going to be drafted very highly and for
- 34:19Speaker 2: a very good reason.

- 36:40Speaker 1: I mean this is Jeremiah's seventh overall rated prospect. But
- 36:44Speaker 1: to the point you were making, Sam six to two
- 36:46Speaker 1: is really short for the edges. Yeah, but the two
- 36:50Speaker 1: sixty three man, how often you see a guy who's
- 36:54Speaker 1: six foot two, two hundred and sixty three pounds right
- 36:58Speaker 1: like that. That's what makes him a little bit of
- 37:00Speaker 1: a of a little bit of diffluent of an athletic evaluation.
- 37:04Speaker 1: I mean, he's clearly a really productive player. And I'm
- 37:06Speaker 1: sure he's a good athlete.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I totally agreed, But you're right, that combination is
- 37:11Speaker 2: somewhat rare. I mean we saw a couple of other
- 37:13Speaker 2: guys were like six four, two thirty to forty, right,
- 37:17Speaker 2: So you're right.
- 37:19Speaker 1: You're usually like, you know, if you're gonna if you
- 37:22Speaker 1: weigh if you're an edge rusher who weighs in the
- 37:26Speaker 1: I want to say, two sixties, you're usually about six'. Five.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah so. Totally but he he.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Was he was great At. Miami he was fun to watch.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Too he was very fun to.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Watch, YEAH i mean he Gave ackles a hard, time, Man.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Yeah he, did and he probably will at THE nfl level.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Too. Yeah sometimes that lack of height can help you
- 37:46Speaker 1: with your bend and getting under certain. Blocks but he's really.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Not it's not like he's known for just being twitchy and.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Bendy he's a really powerful.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Player, yeah and that shows up differently in the fletic,
- 38:00Speaker 2: Testing like if he would have, tested it would have
- 38:02Speaker 2: showed up in some different areas than you, know what
- 38:05Speaker 2: we were looking for. Earlier so right.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Right, now T. J, parker next guy From, clemson is
- 38:11Speaker 1: sort of in that mold Of, yeah he did four,
- 38:14Speaker 1: things and some of the stuff he probably doesn't. LOVE
- 38:18Speaker 1: i don't think the four to six eight is too
- 38:19Speaker 1: bad in the forty the one six to. One as
- 38:21Speaker 1: we're talking about the, SPLIT i, love it's a great.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Split is one point one off from being a, medallist
- 38:27Speaker 1: AND i like.
- 38:27Speaker 2: His BROAD i don't mind his. VERTICAL i would, say.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Yeah, YEAH i, mean if you're judging an edge rusher
- 38:35Speaker 1: by their, vertical which is probably why a lot of
- 38:39Speaker 1: guys didn't decide not to do, IT i mean that's
- 38:41Speaker 1: not usually where they get their their biggest evaluation athletically From.
- 38:45Speaker 2: No for, sure for, sure and that's very much worth.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Mentioning So i'm glad he. Did.
- 38:50Speaker 1: YEAH i was trying to get some height weight on,
- 38:52Speaker 1: him Which i'll do in a. Second, again not like
- 38:56Speaker 1: considered a first round. Guy six four two sixty three, Cool,
- 38:59Speaker 1: yeah just under. Ten he's nine and a half inch, hands,
- 39:02Speaker 1: fine thirty third thirty three and an eight. Arms so,
- 39:05Speaker 1: yeah he's he's going to be a guy who gets,
- 39:08Speaker 1: drafted and the fact that he's got some decent athleticism
- 39:11Speaker 1: will help.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Him. Yeah, Absolutely tray more From. Texas, yeah also meddled
- 39:17Speaker 2: in two. Things he had a good forty yard, dash
- 39:22Speaker 2: a great, split a really good vertical and a really
- 39:26Speaker 2: good Broad, yeah you feel really good about the.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Testing, Yeah i'm almost wondering how he managed only a seventy.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Five so he must have not ideal measurables.
- 39:36Speaker 2: That would make sense to.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Me let's find, out because you, know it doesn't take
- 39:42Speaker 1: much on this list to get into the top, three
- 39:44Speaker 1: because how many people didn't do. Stuff so tray, more
- 39:49Speaker 1: he's probably on the on the lighter side and shorter.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Side i'm gonna IMAGINE i would think you're.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Right sixty, Three, yeah sixty, two he's the. Same is
- 39:57Speaker 1: that What Ruby?
- 39:58Speaker 2: Bain, yeah that was the Same Ruby bin has twenty
- 40:01Speaker 2: pounds on him.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Exactly Now moore has ten and a half inch, hands
- 40:04Speaker 1: pretty good for a guy six to. Two, yeah not
- 40:06Speaker 1: bad at, all good hand. Size what was his? Arms
- 40:11Speaker 1: his arm length was through, okay thirty one and five.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Eighths that's. Boy so this is the opposite of what was.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Thought this is like kind of like a short arm
- 40:19Speaker 1: time with big, hands a long armed guy with with little.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Hands everyone's built. Differently we've got a very interesting and diverse.
- 40:28Speaker 2: Build set for the. Pressures he was.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Tough Because zeroline didn't even have a prospect for flying good, come, yeah,
- 40:36Speaker 1: well who's built like?
- 40:37Speaker 2: That you, know very few people for.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Sure let's say five tackles for lost three, sacks so
- 40:44Speaker 1: production also not helping him too much in the year,
- 40:48Speaker 1: before nine and a half tackles for lost five and
- 40:50Speaker 1: a half. Sacks so you, know it's one of those
- 40:53Speaker 1: guys that you take a flyer on later in the.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Draft all, Right so we'll finish it out with the
- 41:01Speaker 1: Two duke kids they. TESTED i wouldn't say that there
- 41:06Speaker 1: is anything that blows you. AWAY i would Say Wesley
- 41:10Speaker 1: williams had a pretty good uh would you would you
- 41:13Speaker 1: call that a decent?
- 41:14Speaker 2: Vertical?
- 41:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah thirty, five that's what you. Said AND i
- 41:18Speaker 1: call that.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Decent both their BROAD dc.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Yeah uh oh, yeah that ten ten oh. Three, yeah
- 41:25Speaker 1: that's not. BAD i mean they're their forties and splits
- 41:27Speaker 1: are just, okay, RIGHT i Mean, DUKE i don't remember
- 41:32Speaker 1: what kind of year THEY i guess they played For
- 41:33Speaker 1: Manny diaz, though so you know they got to have
- 41:37Speaker 1: some kind of good defensive backbone to, them.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Right of, course you, would you would think for.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Sure So so that's the. List it's an interesting, List
- 41:46Speaker 1: like you, said very top. Heavy the guys you tested
- 41:49Speaker 1: through the roof are going to be guys who go
- 41:52Speaker 1: in the top. Ten BUT i thought we saw maybe
- 41:55Speaker 1: like a good decent amount of round, two round, three
- 41:59Speaker 1: might round four guys that if The eagles wanted to
- 42:03Speaker 1: just pad their pass rush and find some athletic, upside
- 42:05Speaker 1: we're pretty.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Good, yeah despite it being top, heavy there is value
- 42:09Speaker 2: in the later, rounds.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Right so good. Stuff all. Right that is our look
- 42:14Speaker 1: at the athletic testing from edges in this year's combined
- 42:18Speaker 1: and getting ready for this year's twenty twenty SIX Nfl.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Draft next time you hear it from, us what.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Position do we do receivers?
- 42:25Speaker 1: Next love, it that's always a popular. One we will
- 42:28Speaker 1: do receivers.
- 42:29Speaker 2: Next all.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Right so For Sam, Finkel I'm Jeff. Mosher you've been
- 42:32Speaker 1: listening and watching inside the data on inside the burns
