- 0:22up on static and midnight shows. MTV raised us.
- 0:29You already know latchkey hearts and wild eyed dreams, feral mind
- 0:38staring at the scene. If you say it's too much to
- 0:43unpack but I'll see you wait and I've got your back.
- 0:49Talk Good morning.
- 1:12Welcome or welcome back to that Gen.
- 1:15X Friend podcast. And before I begin, I want to
- 1:18give a shout out to MBA Radio. Thank you so much for this
- 1:21platform. As always, I'm always grateful.
- 1:26All right, so let's get to it. So I think most people are aware
- 1:33of what's going on recently, right?
- 1:37Especially concerning the past, let's say five years or so.
- 1:45Yeah. So that's what's kind of
- 1:48inspired this this topic. So have you ever done something
- 1:55you're like, oh man, I wish I would have known this before I
- 2:02went and did that or no, next before I went and did.
- 2:06Why? Like that information would have
- 2:08been great, like yesterday kind of thing.
- 2:13Because, you know, we didn't know the rest of the story.
- 2:17We were bamboozled to do things because we were given portions,
- 2:28meager portions of a situation or whatever, but sold as the the
- 2:38whole truth, nothing but the truth kind of thing, you know,
- 2:41may help me God or something kind of thing.
- 2:46So, but you know, there are also devices, things that people say
- 2:52these phrases that help add to the validity of and weightiness
- 3:01of whatever advice given or promote their version of
- 3:11whatever I provided some of them.
- 3:13I'm going to read it because I want to read in order.
- 3:17The early bird gets the worm right.
- 3:21We've been told this for whatever reasons.
- 3:24Jack of all trades, master of none.
- 3:27Blood is thicker than water. Great minds think alike.
- 3:31That one kind of makes you feel good depending, you know, like
- 3:36whoever is the person saying to you like saying it to you, the
- 3:41customers always right. Money is the root of all evil.
- 3:47Sounds legit and well, there's so many, so many more and just
- 3:54like being given half or portions of situations,
- 4:07happenings or whatever and being sold as the whole thing like
- 4:15legit many of these things that we've heard.
- 4:20This is just some some of the most common ones.
- 4:22I I know, I've heard it so many times in my life.
- 4:25I already know. Yeah, I know.
- 4:27I get it. But never once, never once have
- 4:32I actually asked like is there more to it?
- 4:38I just accept these like these things wholesale because when I
- 4:43was when it was, I experienced them and told me it was passed
- 4:49on as irrefutable wisdom or condemnation.
- 4:58Especially like the ones like Jack of all trades, master of
- 5:02none man, I've heard that so many times when I was young,
- 5:06especially by my parents because they're like, well, you don't
- 5:09know anything, you don't know anything.
- 5:12You know a little bit about this, a little bit about that.
- 5:16And that phrase, by the way, it is cross cultural, but I heard
- 5:22it from English speaking people and also my parents who did not
- 5:29use English to say this. You know, it's stuff like this
- 5:37that's drove me to either feel bad about it, like about get all
- 5:50the feels and feel bad about myself or take actions to alter
- 5:57this indictment because this whole truth, nothing but the
- 6:02truth. So help me God kind of thing,
- 6:03because then that's where they stood and I was indicted on
- 6:09things that I didn't even know about.
- 6:12And, and I didn't question the truth.
- 6:15I, I didn't question if there was more to it.
- 6:19I just took it. I bought a wholesale.
- 6:22I was like, oh, this is a deal. I'm getting some wisdom.
- 6:25Let's let's act on it. And also some of this stuff
- 6:34pigeonholed me to certain outcomes, which I thought was
- 6:39fixed in in in mobile like, and I just had to accept these
- 6:44things and do my best to alter me.
- 6:49I'm not saying all of when these sayings were said or told to me
- 6:56or maybe to you and you heard it that they were always
- 7:03incorrectly used, right, incorrectly applied.
- 7:08Perhaps it was, you know, by chance it, it was correct based
- 7:13on whatever the situation. Like great minds think alike,
- 7:20right? Perhaps you were in the presence
- 7:25of a great mind, which is, you know, not in the mind of the
- 7:30person who thinks they're a great mind, but widely accepted
- 7:33as somebody who has a great mind.
- 7:36And you said something and then the person's like, wow, great
- 7:39minds think alike. And you're like, oh, that's
- 7:41awesome. Like this person's a great mind.
- 7:44And this person just said that I am also a great mind because we
- 7:49I think like it. It leads us me you to act a
- 7:58certain way, right. We got all the feels good or
- 8:00bad, but this one is good. Or else you were commended on
- 8:05like showing up early and getting some good out of it.
- 8:10Like early bird gets the worm, you know, So you're like, Oh,
- 8:15that's awesome. I I love this thing and this is
- 8:19me. I'm an early person.
- 8:21Especially for U.S. military people. 15 minutes before the 15
- 8:24minutes before the 15 minutes before the three hours, we have
- 8:28to show up early. And you got 15 minutes on top of
- 8:32that kind of thing, like, oh, yeah, no, no, early birds gets
- 8:36warm. But like I said, I rarely until
- 8:42recently and like wait it just out of curiosity.
- 8:48Also curiosity killed the cat, right?
- 8:50Out of curiosity, I, I guess I was a cat.
- 8:57I was, I was looking this up. I'm like, I wonder is there more
- 9:01to this? And there is there is.
- 9:06So I'm going to read it 'cause I actually saved it.
- 9:09So just so you guys can hear some of these things, it's only
- 9:17half the story. And like Paul Hardy, shout out
- 9:20to him. I know he's gone, but man, I
- 9:22used to listen to and here's the rest of the story.
- 9:25So not that I'm as eloquent, not even close, but I want to share
- 9:32with you the rest of the story. The early bird gets the worm,
- 9:40Here's the second-half, and the second mouse gets the cheek.
- 9:45I think we can see the why the second mouse gets the cheese
- 9:49because, you know, there's a mousetrap.
- 9:51You know, we don't have the picture.
- 9:54Well, you can picture like Tom and Jerry, kind of cartoonish,
- 9:56like the mouse with the XS on his eyes and his tongue hanging
- 10:01out. And here's the other one.
- 10:04Jack of all trades, master of none, though often better than
- 10:12master of 1. Man, I wish I would have known
- 10:17this like, you know, 1/4 of a century ago.
- 10:22I was often made to feel so bad because I knew a little bit
- 10:25about this. I knew a little bit about that.
- 10:28I wasn't quite, you know, sure what I was interested in.
- 10:32So I, I kind of knew a little bit about whatever and I used to
- 10:38get berated and condemned for never having because I'm ADHD
- 10:43guys squirrel. I it was used, this one phrase
- 10:50was used to condemn me to never being good at anything because I
- 10:55was never good at anything. That's what they told me.
- 10:57That was the way it was used. Man, this information would have
- 11:04been good like 1/4 of a century ago.
- 11:07Here we go let's continue. Blood is thicker than water.
- 11:13How many times have you guys heard this?
- 11:14Because I've heard this. This is also cross cultural now
- 11:18and but here's the full phrase. The blood of the covenant is
- 11:24thicker than the water of the womb right?
- 11:32Whatever that means to you, it it's the bond, it's the, it's
- 11:40whatever you fortify, right compared to the blood of the
- 11:44womb. You guys can look up the meaning
- 11:48however you want to interpret it.
- 11:51Here's another one. Gray minds think alike that
- 11:57example like, Oh my God, I'm part of the great minds.
- 11:59What? You know, people usually, I
- 12:02believe from my experience, use it for good 'cause it's a
- 12:05compliment, right? I've never personally
- 12:09experienced it as a dig, at least I don't remember anyways.
- 12:13But here's the rest. Great minds think alike, but
- 12:16small minds rarely differ. So what if somebody like the
- 12:25same situation? Great mind you're, you are in
- 12:29the presence of this great mind. Everybody, let's just say like a
- 12:35fairy tale, everybody adores and just trust that this person has
- 12:41a great mind and you just happen to say something, not repeating.
- 12:47You're you're not being a parrot and regurgitating anything this
- 12:53person said. And you said something and the
- 12:55person's like, well, great minds think alike, but small minds
- 12:59rarely differ. So is that how how would that
- 13:05make you feel? Right?
- 13:07Taking in the first portion, you're like, yeah, great mind.
- 13:11But with the second portion added on, would you feel
- 13:16offended? Like, what is this person saying
- 13:19to me? Like, let's continue curiosity,
- 13:25kill the cat, right? Because I was so curious because
- 13:29I love language and words. I, I'd like to get into the
- 13:34meaning things and curiosity got me eventually late in not like
- 13:391/4 century earlier. I, I, I didn't know to look it
- 13:42up. I just accepted all this
- 13:44wholesale. Like, Oh my God, I'm I'm part of
- 13:47the I'm just going to use my favorite like wholesale store
- 13:52Costco. I'm like, Oh my God, I'm part of
- 13:54Costco. Anything they sell is great.
- 13:56I'll just buy it all kind of thing.
- 13:58Like so only recently have I arrived at a place where
- 14:04curiosity and I'm the cat. I guess I was going to accept
- 14:11the fact that it might kill me and I looked it up.
- 14:15Here's the rest. Curiosity killed the cat, but
- 14:18satisfaction brought it back. So when people say, well, you
- 14:27know, let's not poke up here. Curiosity, like it is sort of
- 14:32used. This one is used in a way to
- 14:35deter perhaps that like the curiosity of like investigating.
- 14:40Is there more to it? Like I want to know more.
- 14:43But this sort of stunts you into depending on who's saying it to
- 14:46you, right? Because with let's just talk
- 14:49about Marines, like don't do that.
- 14:51And guess what? We're going to do it.
- 14:53We're going to do it on a grand scale in which mayhem chaos will
- 14:59always be a part of it. So depending on who's saying it
- 15:02to you and who the the audience is, it might not end so well or
- 15:10it might end great. So but when we here as children,
- 15:16like curiosity killed a cat in a like I'm waving my finger at you
- 15:21like this. What do you do?
- 15:24You get deterred, right? Let's continue.
- 15:28The customer's always right. And depending on what kind of
- 15:31job you've had and if you ever had a service job like I have
- 15:35had, I've had service job. I was a waitress for many years.
- 15:42You know, that's kind of the golden rule, right?
- 15:47Supposedly, maybe not so much as recent years.
- 15:51But here's the rest. The customers always write in
- 15:58matter of taste. Everybody has their own taste.
- 16:04Like what? I'm going to use a real world
- 16:07example. Some people love cilantro.
- 16:10OK, I'm one of those people. And guess what?
- 16:13My son hates it because he's like, it tastes like soap.
- 16:19But it doesn't make me wrong in liking it.
- 16:22It's a matter of taste, right? Because I'm billed differently
- 16:25than they are. So is the customer always right
- 16:30based on their own taste? What if they just didn't like
- 16:34for whatever reason, they are customers of the store and they
- 16:37just hated, hated whatever for whatever reason.
- 16:44Are they right? What if there are there are
- 16:47customers out there that just love the store for that exact
- 16:50reason? That information would have been
- 16:54great yesterday. Or here's the the the last one
- 17:01I'm going to share. Money is the root of all evil.
- 17:04Sounds legit man 'cause you know, especially right now in
- 17:08this current state of being, I'm sure you can whatever comes to
- 17:13mind People are saying, you know, capitalism, money, greed.
- 17:19I'm sure you can get the reference.
- 17:23Here is the rest or the the complete saying.
- 17:31The love of money is the root of all evil, right?
- 17:37Instead of indicting this currency that we need to use on
- 17:43a daily basis to to get things done as a equal form of exchange
- 17:51for services or whatever, we're indicting the existence of it
- 17:56rather than the individual use of it and how we treat it.
- 18:02Do we idolize it? Do we misuse it?
- 18:06Do we use it for crime? Whatever.
- 18:10Right. So and I've heard that too.
- 18:13That's also cross cultural and it's just funny as I begin to
- 18:25examine myself and why I say the things I say and where do these
- 18:32things come from, especially because I have, I have said
- 18:38various sayings like this to my son.
- 18:43I think one of them is the absence makes the heart grow
- 18:47fonder. But there's actually here if you
- 18:52want to look look it up and peak your own curiosity, You can look
- 18:56up the rest of that saying, but I only heard the first portion
- 19:02of it. And that is how I then
- 19:06communicated to my son, wrongly applied because the rest of that
- 19:14saying could have made a world of difference in how I used it,
- 19:20why I used it, and it's in thinking if I used it
- 19:25appropriately within that conversation.
- 19:33I use these sayings as an example, right?
- 19:36Because they are commonly known. Most people have heard of them
- 19:42in situations. All we do is we want to roll our
- 19:45eyes so hard that you can hear them rattle in our heads kind of
- 19:49situations. But also as a way to perhaps
- 20:04shine a little light on how most of the things we think we know,
- 20:11we hear, we are being told is only a portion of the story.
- 20:21Or of a saying or whatever. That's why Paul Harvey, like
- 20:26people like Paul Harvey, was so needed.
- 20:28Like he gave you the, the, the complete, as complete as he can
- 20:33give it from all different views, right?
- 20:35So when we operate on a daily basis being bamboozled by
- 20:44portions of a story, portions of a truth, depending on who's
- 20:48telling it for what reason, what angle, what is the intent?
- 20:56And we don't investigate for ourselves.
- 20:59I'm not saying when we investigate that we will get to
- 21:04the bottom of things. Like I'm still questioning like,
- 21:07are UFOOS real? Like for it was just a
- 21:13distraction. What's going on, Like curiosity,
- 21:17morbid curiosity? How many people have been
- 21:19arrested at Area 51 just out of morbid curiosity?
- 21:25Just to 'cause I want to know the rest of the story.
- 21:28I don't want to operate on jumping to conclusions.
- 21:33Man, I love Office Space for all.
- 21:37You got to see that movie, guys. It's a great movie given a piece
- 21:42of information but sold as the complete version and jumping to
- 21:47conclusions because I took it as the whole truth and nothing but
- 21:53the truth kind of thing and which led me to act a certain
- 21:57way, feel a certain way, and perceive a certain outcome was
- 22:01fixed. It impacts it would have man
- 22:10knowing the full or as fully as I can investigate a situation
- 22:16more of the situation. I think I would have done things
- 22:19a lot differently in my life. For example, I I was sold like
- 22:25most people for a good 23 generations were sold.
- 22:30That's you know, going to college was the only way to
- 22:34succeed in life. Well, Kern situations, it's
- 22:38proof that that that is not true.
- 22:40We are lacking severely lacking skilled workers.
- 22:45I wish I would have, you know, learned.
- 22:50I wish I would have paid attention when I was attached to
- 22:52the motor pool or been a mechanic instead of I was a data
- 22:56marine. OK, I fixed computers and dealt
- 22:59with all that stuff and guess what?
- 23:00AI is taking over all that, but mechanics are still needed.
- 23:07You know something like that. I I bought a wholesale and never
- 23:11investigated for myself. I'm not saying that when you
- 23:14hear these things as young and naive minds that you should then
- 23:25go back. Oh, I should have known.
- 23:26Well, you only know what you know at the time that you know
- 23:30it. Your knowledge is limited.
- 23:32But now coming from the other side, like, oh man, information
- 23:36would have been good like quarter of a century ago.
- 23:40Yes, I'm old. I'm OK.
- 23:42I'm OK with that, I think. But now that we know and we can
- 23:51see in our own lives through our own experiences, that we have
- 23:55been bamboozled to do things, to feel things, to back away from
- 24:03things by only a meager portion of the story of the situation,
- 24:13we can speak up appropriately to those who are coming after us,
- 24:20our children or their peers or whoever.
- 24:24Because some people have experiences in their youth that
- 24:28most people may not ever have but encounter, perhaps also
- 24:32encounter later. We can just talk about
- 24:34illnesses. There are plenty of young people
- 24:36who've gone through illnesses that can probably help if they
- 24:43share their stories like give more of a complete version of
- 24:51the reality that happens it. It might help a lot of people
- 24:54who are older right. So, but not let the typical the
- 25:02usual suspects. I'm talking about media and
- 25:05these people that we trust for what reason?
- 25:08Because we were told to trust them, right, to tell us part of
- 25:16the share only part of the story and not be like Paul Harvey.
- 25:20Here's the rest of the story to then control, manipulate.
- 25:28I don't know, persuade us to act, respond in a way that they
- 25:40are staring us to. I remember, I think it was in
- 25:46the 90s or I think even in the 2000's, The Enquirer, the slogan
- 25:51was Enquirers wants to know. Forgive me, I always come up
- 25:58with these things in real time and I'm not good with slogans,
- 26:02but The Enquirer wants to know or something to that effect.
- 26:06But people don't want to know anymore, even with the
- 26:10availability. I'm also part of it.
- 26:14Like, there's so much information that's available to
- 26:17us at our fingertips, right? I'm not discounting that much of
- 26:24what we find on the Internet is now also also, like, half truth
- 26:30and meant to bamboozle us. Like, depending on how you feel
- 26:35about AI, yeah, it might make things easier.
- 26:39It might, whatever you ask, come in a little short package, like
- 26:44oh, so condensed. I don't have to look through the
- 26:47various little various pages to find that information.
- 26:52But it also handcuffs and sort of puts up willingly puts us
- 27:01into this little box that it wants to show it.
- 27:04Oh, wow. It's so it's, it's the little
- 27:07pieces that we're like, oh, that's easily digestible.
- 27:09Instead of investigating and perhaps learning the rest of the
- 27:13story, like the early bird gets a worm.
- 27:18So you're the early bird that's oh, yeah, I'm going to get the
- 27:21worm. What if you get up early and
- 27:24there's like, I don't know what eats birds?
- 27:27All kinds of predators eat birds, right.
- 27:33And you go out there and this nocturnal predator has been
- 27:37waiting for you as the early bird to get the bird.
- 27:40The get 'cause you're going to get the worm right, 'cause you
- 27:43believe in it and you get stashed up.
- 27:46That's why the second portion of that phrase that the saying the
- 27:51second mouse gets the cheese right, 'cause the first one went
- 27:56and sacrificed itself. Second one benefits from the
- 28:07forerunner, right. But you can't take the we cannot
- 28:10also take these as like, oh, I'm not going to be the early bird
- 28:13now because I don't want to, you know, be the, the the mouse.
- 28:18I sacrificed myself. Yeah, for the second one.
- 28:24I want to be the benefit. Well, somebody has to be the
- 28:26forerunner, but it's to use to. That's why half truths, half
- 28:35stories, portions of the story is not conducive to us acting
- 28:42appropriately. For what?
- 28:47For some situations, you might not find we might not be able to
- 28:51discover the truth until after the fact.
- 28:54There's nothing we can do about that, right?
- 28:56These situations are fluctuating depending on what you can get,
- 29:02how you can get it, and what information is available.
- 29:07This is sort of a cautionary thing because I'm a rash.
- 29:14I can be very rash depending on how how much in the fields I am.
- 29:20I can be like, oh, I'm just going to act this way that way
- 29:24without actually taking time to digest investigate the entirety
- 29:32of the situation, the story, because I feel I need to do this
- 29:37now. Now when we are in our fields,
- 29:41like there's this urgency because survival, right?
- 29:46But if there's information out there, no matter how urgent, no
- 29:53matter, no matter how this wisdom or condemnation seems so,
- 30:03Oh my God, it was so legit. I, I just, I, I believe that.
- 30:08Here we go. I'm going to use it.
- 30:11I think this is a Gen. X military word.
- 30:14It will behoove us to take some time, take a breath, consider
- 30:20the situation before we jump on that grenade in which all we had
- 30:30to do was kick it into the ditch, that roll downhill right
- 30:36and eliminate the whole situation.
- 30:43OK, and I say this as usual is because I have fallen into that
- 30:50trap and bought things that people said to me wholesale.
- 30:59And looking back on it, I wish I knew the rest of the story.
- 31:05I wish I knew the rest of the saying like Jack of all trades,
- 31:09master of none, right? Because the rest of it says so
- 31:15often better than master of 1. I wouldn't have felt so bad
- 31:19about myself. I wouldn't beat myself up for
- 31:27the entirety of my life and I still do in my own mind, they're
- 31:33they are long gone. But here I am doing their job
- 31:37because it was said to me and I bought it without investigating.
- 31:41Is this true? Really, is it is it bad?
- 31:49I'm sure you guys can come up with all sorts of situations and
- 31:54things that people have said to you.
- 31:56I, I only picked up these phrases as an examples.
- 32:01It, it doesn't have to be a common phrase.
- 32:04It could just be a common saying that people can have variations
- 32:07of how they say it when they say it to you.
- 32:10But the intent is to make you or me think, oh, this is you cannot
- 32:17question my wisdom or you're bad for this.
- 32:21And then they're wagging a little finger at you because
- 32:26they're counting on the fact that we won't investigate
- 32:34because we trusted them. And we have, we've been sold
- 32:41this bill of goods that this is the whole truth and nothing but
- 32:48the truth. You can name endless amount of
- 32:56things that's happening now that people will get behind
- 33:03regardless of whatever affiliations you have, people
- 33:10will get behind it and push it. And the more people say it like
- 33:15these phrases, right, the more we tend to believe it.
- 33:20That's psychology. It doesn't matter if it's the
- 33:23truth or it's of a lie. When it's said repeatedly and
- 33:28with confidence and with sort of this authority figure, kind of
- 33:36we will believe it once we hear enough.
- 33:40We are trained not to question. And This is why it is imperative
- 33:49for us to be curious, cautiously and nonetheless curious, and to
- 33:56investigate and to learn the rest of the story.
- 34:03Because the rest of the story adds flavour, adds dynamics,
- 34:08adds death to the conversation to the idea that did a bridge
- 34:17version never really brings. You know, I'm sure most of us in
- 34:21high school Gen. X population that had the the
- 34:26yellow books Cliff notes, right? Like for versions of books that
- 34:34we didn't want to read. Mine was Tale of two Cities.
- 34:39Oh my God, I couldn't get past the first freaking page.
- 34:43It was the best of times. It's the worst of times and it
- 34:46was the worst of times for me. I could not read that thing and
- 34:48I bought the Cliffs Notes for it.
- 34:53And I'm not saying I even read the Cliffs Notes.
- 34:55I, I, I think I selectively read pages on the Cliffs Notes to to
- 35:01try to do my book report. I don't remember how I did, but
- 35:07apparently that book is fantastic, full of great things.
- 35:11Not that I'm going to read it, which I I just couldn't suffer
- 35:15that book. I'm sorry for all those people
- 35:17who love it, But the rest of the story was there and all I had to
- 35:23do was go through that. And sometimes investigation
- 35:28perhaps is like reading The Tale of Two Cities for me, for you,
- 35:32right? Like I can't do this.
- 35:35This is so insufferable, but there's a benefit.
- 35:40Depending on what the situation is and how investigating and
- 35:45knowing the full story or the a good portion of it, it may
- 35:51change the trajectory of your life.
- 35:54It may change how you act. It may change how you beat
- 35:57yourself up or not. It may change what you think
- 36:03about an outcome. You're like, Oh no, no, that's
- 36:06the only outcome. There's no way I'm not doing
- 36:08that. It may change all of that for
- 36:11you. And man, all I can say is that I
- 36:19wish I wasn't bamboozled so much so by only portions, meager
- 36:25portions of the story situation. So I guess I am part of the
- 36:34Bamboozle club, but I'm not just a member, I'm also the
- 36:39president. So this is quite the a hidden
- 36:44club because most people prefer not to share.
- 36:49It's really, it's really shameful to reveal, man, I was
- 36:58bamboozled, right, Because we got our egos to protect.
- 37:02But I'm here to share that there are people out there.
- 37:07I'm one of them. Yeah.
- 37:08I said I was the president because I've been bamboozed
- 37:10quite a few times. But now that I know, then it
- 37:17will behoove me to dig a little bit more, ask is there more to
- 37:25where this came from, to perhaps find more than what I've been
- 37:33told or sold to see if there's something hidden.
- 37:39I'm going to try to do that and cautiously proceed with my
- 37:46curiosity. Because I don't want to be the
- 37:48cat that gets killed because there are cats that happen
- 37:50killed by curiosity, right? I want to be the part that was
- 37:57here. What does it say was brought
- 37:59back by satisfaction? Like knowing.
- 38:02Knowing is only, wait, what is it, GI Joe?
- 38:05Knowing is half the battle, right?
- 38:08So man, I'm just going into all these 80s things, 80s, nineties
- 38:14things. Yeah, I want to know more and
- 38:17not jump to conclusions. And I want to perhaps share what
- 38:24I know more to also help others see more of the story, perhaps
- 38:35that I have experienced, so they don't have to jump to
- 38:37conclusions because perhaps there's not a lot of information
- 38:41out there about certain things. And hopefully, whether you are a
- 38:51middle member of the Bamboozle Club or not, I, I, I guess this
- 38:57is my coming out like, oh, I'm the president of the Bamboozle
- 39:00Club. It's OK.
- 39:02You're not alone. Depending on whatever the
- 39:05situation is. Now that you know, be like Paul
- 39:11Hardy, find out the rest of the story and share what you know so
- 39:17others don't have to suffer the same shame of being bamboozled.
- 39:27If we can help each other with, I don't know, by avoiding the
- 39:38avoidable downfalls or potholes or whatever you want to say of
- 39:44life's highways. It doesn't have to be big.
- 39:51I I think we would be happier. What do you guys think?
- 39:57I I, I would have been the happier if somebody warned me
- 40:00about a lot of things, especially going to going to
- 40:06school. Yeah, I, I went and got a very,
- 40:16very. I spent a long, long time in
- 40:20school and and sometimes. I wish I would have learned the
- 40:27trade. I really do love to tinker with
- 40:30to understand cars more. I would love that.
- 40:33But I'm not saying I didn't learn things from my time in
- 40:38school. But most of the things I was
- 40:41taught are useless. The one thing I did learn, which
- 40:46I didn't use until, well, recently, is to investigate.
- 40:51I did research. I learned how to research.
- 40:57I learned to find information which either backed my
- 41:04hypothesis or not right. But in finding the most valuable
- 41:10part that I gained from investigating is that I learned
- 41:15more from information that was opposing to what I thought.
- 41:21Like, oh, I did not know that. Wow, that's that's great.
- 41:25Or maybe I would have felt sad about it.
- 41:27Maybe I felt glad about it. But no matter how little the
- 41:32piece of information was, I was glad to have known it because
- 41:36now I know a little bit more because I wasn't in this echo
- 41:40chamber saying, Oh, great mind's thinking like, look, like, oh,
- 41:44look, there's all kinds of information out there that
- 41:46agrees with me, you know, And I was able to produce a
- 41:51dissertation that I, I was able to present in, in my opinion, in
- 42:04my opinion that I presented not just the things that agreed with
- 42:12was, has been put out there already.
- 42:16And I think the cost was still too much, but that's something
- 42:22that I couldn't learn. Maybe I don't know.
- 42:28I can't say if I was, you know, a mechanic, would I have learned
- 42:32that? Maybe I probably I, I don't
- 42:35doubt it. Obviously I didn't come from it
- 42:38from that direction. So I I encourage everybody to be
- 42:47the curious cat cautiously. Don't be jumping off the
- 42:50freaking, you know, third story balcony with your when you're
- 42:55paunch a lighter. Don't do that.
- 42:56Don't be that kind of cat. OK, There's really no good that
- 42:59would come out of it. Protect yourself.
- 43:02We're the right gear, right, But it would definitely prevent.
- 43:08I believe in as far as everything goes now, these
- 43:15reactive behaviors that we see on the media, like people are
- 43:20like, oh, let's do all this together.
- 43:22And then years later like, oh, that was wrong.
- 43:26And and if we consider more, I'm not saying we don't have to
- 43:30apologize later, but investigating probably reduces
- 43:35the chances of that happening greatly.
- 43:43I hope this didn't sound preachy, it's just that I've
- 43:46seen I'm seeing so much back and forth backlash like extremes to
- 43:51another and I think the rest of the story knowing more of the
- 43:59story, whatever is being revealed, investigating my
- 44:06reduce that swing, the violent swings that we see now in
- 44:10society. If this makes sense to you,
- 44:17perhaps investigate. If not, thanks for listening as
- 44:23always. But I am going to go investigate
- 44:30more the rest of the story and perhaps not act so rashly.
- 44:41So that's it for this week. Thank you for listening.
- 44:45I pray for you guys all the time and I hope you guys have a
- 44:49blessed day till two weeks from now.
