🌐 North Korea’s Websites Go Dark for Over 24 Hours, Cutting Off Outside Access to State Information
Virtually all publicly accessible North Korean websites went offline for more than a day in October, disrupting the outside world’s access to information published by the country’s state media and official institutions.
The outages began around October 20 and affected dozens of websites using North Korea’s .kp domain. Among them were the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the Rodong Sinmun newspaper, Minju Joson, the Voice of Korea radio service and the Foreign Ministry’s website. The official information portal Naenara and national airline Air Koryo were also affected.
