- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello. Welcome to the
- 0:17Speaker 1: Naughty But Nice. I'm your host, Rob Shooter. And it's Monday,
- 0:20Speaker 1: which means our dear friend Garrett Vogel joins us. Hey, Garrett.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Are you there? Hello, hello.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I'm going to start counting your hellos in the morning.
- 0:28Speaker 2: It's going to be a thing. So I want you
- 0:30Speaker 2: to listen every morning to Rob Shooter and see how
- 0:32Speaker 2: many hellos, because I think it varies. Some mornings it's like, hello, hello.
- 0:37Speaker 2: And then like this one, we got a good four
- 0:38Speaker 2: or five out of it. So I want to see
- 0:41Speaker 2: if there's any type of repetition where you just throw
- 0:44Speaker 2: out how many hellos you have every morning.
- 0:45Speaker 1: It depends.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Hello, Bob.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Hello. It depends on my mood. I try to do three.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I have actually thought about this. Only you would know this.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I have thought about it. I try to do... Hello, hello, hello.
- 0:56Speaker 1: But sometimes I get overexcited. Oh, that's true. Sometimes I
- 1:01Speaker 1: get really excited. And then sometimes if the show is
- 1:04Speaker 1: just so hot and I want to jump into it,
- 1:06Speaker 1: you might just get two because I can't help myself.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Well, you're in a rush. So when Rob Shooter is
- 1:12Speaker 2: in a rush, let's go a little behind the curtain
- 1:14Speaker 2: and let everybody understand how Rob functions. So if he's
- 1:18Speaker 2: in a rush, even in life, even in life, if
- 1:21Speaker 2: he's running from one thing to another TV appearance and
- 1:24Speaker 2: he sees you on the street real quick, you get a, oh. Hello, hello.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Hello, hello.
- 1:29Speaker 2: He wants to be nice and polite, but he needs
- 1:30Speaker 2: to get somewhere. But if he has time, anything after
- 1:34Speaker 2: three hellos, he's all yours.
- 1:35Speaker 1: All yours. Well done. Well analyzed. I'm not seeing my
- 1:38Speaker 1: shrink this week. I've seen you. Okay. Let's jump into
- 1:41Speaker 1: the show. What time is it? Leave the money on
- 1:42Speaker 1: the counter. Sorry. What time is it, my friends? It
- 1:45Speaker 1: is tea time. Tea time. Big story at the top
- 1:46Speaker 1: of the show. So Meghan Markle seems to have turned
- 1:50Speaker 1: on Guy Ritchie. If you don't know who he is,
- 1:53Speaker 1: he was married to Madonna, a very, very powerful woman.
- 1:56Speaker 1: director in Hollywood. He's British. And people are saying she
- 1:59Speaker 1: is making, once again, a very powerful enemy. Let me explain.
- 2:03Speaker 1: So Megan's latest Hollywood drama, it's taken on an extraordinary turn.
- 2:07Speaker 1: And sources tell me that maybe, in fact, sources do
- 2:11Speaker 1: tell me she does only have herself to blame. So
- 2:14Speaker 1: after months of speculation that Megan was going to join
- 2:18Speaker 1: Guy Ritchie's hit Netflix series, The Gentleman. Now Megan's friends
- 2:24Speaker 1: are accusing the streamer and the director of using her
- 2:27Speaker 1: name for publicity. Hollywood insiders are fighting back, saying that
- 2:32Speaker 1: is not what happened. There were some conversations about Megan
- 2:36Speaker 1: joining this show. They leaked it. So they're pointing fingers.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Who leaked this? Did Guy Ritchie, did Netflix, did Megan.
- 2:43Speaker 1: And now that she does not have the part, she's
- 2:45Speaker 1: not joining the show, suddenly she is the victim. Ooh,
- 2:50Speaker 1: what do you think?
- 2:51Speaker 2: Well, so season two just came out of The Gentleman.
- 2:54Speaker 2: If you haven't watched it, a very fun, great show.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Theo James, who is in The White Lotus, too. Amazing.
- 3:02Speaker 1: But I.
- 3:03Speaker 2: The season just started. And you know how shows work.
- 3:07Speaker 2: They don't start up season three like right away of production.
- 3:10Speaker 2: And without even season two ending, it was like, oh,
- 3:13Speaker 2: Meghan Markle is joining the cast of season three. I mean,
- 3:17Speaker 2: they haven't even announced season three yet. But yet we
- 3:19Speaker 2: already have Meghan Markle on the cast.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Get out of here. So who's leaking it, though? So
- 3:23Speaker 1: I agree with you. It's not true. You know who.
- 3:25Speaker 2: You know where it's coming from. It has to be
- 3:27Speaker 2: coming from that side of it. her side of the aisle.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I would say so. I mean, I would say so.
- 3:32Speaker 2: All signs pointing.
- 3:34Speaker 1: All signs are pointing that this is coming from Meghan.
- 3:37Speaker 1: And they are really good at this. They often say
- 3:40Speaker 1: they don't like the press, but they work with the press.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Princess Diana did. Lots of celebrities do this, even celebrities
- 3:48Speaker 1: who pretend to be a little bit shy. Now, one
- 3:51Speaker 1: source is telling me She can't help herself. And instead
- 3:54Speaker 1: of accepting disappointment that she's not going to be in
- 3:57Speaker 1: the show, she's picking a fight. This is interesting because
- 4:00Speaker 1: I've done this. She's picking a fight with people who
- 4:03Speaker 1: can help her. So you might be disappointed now, but
- 4:06Speaker 1: that does not mean you won't get in a Guy
- 4:08Speaker 1: Ritchie film show at some point. This might not be
- 4:12Speaker 1: that show, but Guy Ritchie ain't going to go anywhere.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Netflix are not going to go anywhere. So I often
- 4:18Speaker 1: say to myself when I'm disappointed, when things don't go
- 4:21Speaker 1: my way, Do I want to snap at them now? Yes,
- 4:24Speaker 1: I do. I probably do. I'm probably cross. But is
- 4:26Speaker 1: that the wise move? Because two weeks from now, two
- 4:29Speaker 1: years from now, ten years from now, it could be
- 4:32Speaker 1: a very different conversation that I want to have. Have
- 4:35Speaker 1: you burnt a bridge? Do you burn bridges?
- 4:39Speaker 2: Only if it's like the last resort. You know what
- 4:42Speaker 2: I mean? And just like a metaphor of crossing the bridge,
- 4:46Speaker 2: as you walk over the bridge, you turn around and
- 4:49Speaker 2: you're like, do I need this person anymore? at all.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Like you got to think, you kind of have to
- 4:54Speaker 2: see into the future. And if you could see no
- 4:55Speaker 2: future with them, you like that match and you let
- 4:58Speaker 2: that thing go.
- 4:59Speaker 1: You know what I mean? I'm the same. I make
- 5:01Speaker 1: those decisions. I do think long picture here. And this
- 5:06Speaker 1: person that's hurt me and upset me, in my opinion,
- 5:08Speaker 1: is such a loser. They're not going to work in
- 5:10Speaker 1: the business again. And then two years from now, they're
- 5:12Speaker 1: the president of NBC or something like that. I've got
- 5:15Speaker 1: terrible judgment. And deciding who to burn and who not
- 5:19Speaker 1: to burn. I have burned some people that have gone
- 5:21Speaker 1: on to be really quite big.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yes, and we'll talk about that off the mic. But
- 5:27Speaker 2: where do you think Meghan Markle, like, she's obviously trying
- 5:30Speaker 2: to get back on camera in some kind of scripted series, movie, whatever.
- 5:35Speaker 2: What do you think would actually be suitable for her?
- 5:39Speaker 1: I think a role like Suits, somewhere where she plays
- 5:41Speaker 1: a really gorgeous, sexy, smart person... She's not Meryl Streep,
- 5:45Speaker 1: so she shouldn't be doing prosthetics and playing Margaret Thatcher
- 5:49Speaker 1: and characters with accents. But there's a lot of jobs
- 5:51Speaker 1: out there for very, very beautiful people who can act
- 5:55Speaker 1: well enough. She's good enough. She's gorgeous. She's very famous, though, now.
- 5:59Speaker 1: And that's what's changed everything. She's not just a pretty face.
- 6:03Speaker 1: She's Meghan Markle. And the problem with Meghan, I'm told,
- 6:06Speaker 1: is not the acting skills. She's good enough. Nobody's saying
- 6:09Speaker 1: she's Glenn Close. Nobody's saying she's going to win an Oscar.
- 6:12Speaker 1: But they say she's good enough. The problem with Meghan now,
- 6:15Speaker 1: and she's just confirmed it with Guy Ritchie, is the
- 6:18Speaker 1: reputation's rough. And if she doesn't get her own way,
- 6:21Speaker 1: or if she's not treated extra special, if she's not
- 6:24Speaker 1: treated like the duchess that now she believes that she is,
- 6:27Speaker 1: inside and out, then trouble often pops up. And so
- 6:31Speaker 1: when you've got a reputation as being a little bit
- 6:34Speaker 1: problematic to work with, and you don't bring that much
- 6:38Speaker 1: to the table, you're not going to find work. I
- 6:39Speaker 1: tell people that work with me all the time, never, ever,
- 6:43Speaker 1: ever underestimate the power of being easy to work with.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I would rather someone who's kind of average, but just
- 6:50Speaker 1: nice to work with, fun to be around.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Why are you looking at me?
- 6:54Speaker 1: Stop looking at me like that.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Stop looking at me. Stop, stop that.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Look away, look away. Somebody that's brilliant and a pain
- 7:00Speaker 1: in the bottom. What about you?
- 7:01Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I mean, I think at the end of
- 7:04Speaker 2: the day, as much as we... I think the outlandish, crazy,
- 7:08Speaker 2: you know, is good for a quick moment. But for longevity-wise,
- 7:12Speaker 2: you need someone that you could work with day in
- 7:14Speaker 2: and day out.
- 7:14Speaker 1: That's what I want. And I don't know what that
- 7:16Speaker 1: is what Meghan brings to the table, which brings us
- 7:18Speaker 1: to our poll question of the day. Meghan Markle has
- 7:21Speaker 1: turned on Guy Ritchie after losing her Netflix role. Are
- 7:24Speaker 1: you team Meghan on this one or team Guy? Who
- 7:27Speaker 1: do you think is in the right? Who do you
- 7:29Speaker 1: think is in the wrong? Hey, go vote on our
- 7:31Speaker 1: X page at Naughty Nice Rob. Our Facebook page is
- 7:35Speaker 1: Naughty Gossip. And be sure to check back tomorrow to
- 7:39Speaker 1: hear your results. Hey, Garrett Love, what are you working on?
- 7:44Speaker 1: All right.
- 7:44Speaker 2: So, you know, you have friends that have kids, right?
- 7:48Speaker 2: And they have more than one kid. And you're sitting
- 7:50Speaker 2: down having a drink and you go, hey, your favorite child?
- 7:54Speaker 2: And then sometimes you get the political answer, oh, I
- 7:57Speaker 2: cannot pick, I cannot do that. Or if you have
- 8:00Speaker 2: a pet, maybe you have two pets, you're like, oh,
- 8:01Speaker 2: who's your favorite pet? Andy Cohen is finally letting us
- 8:06Speaker 2: know his two favorite Real Housewives franchises. He can pick
- 8:10Speaker 2: two because, as we know, there are several, okay? And
- 8:14Speaker 2: I think it's kind of obvious at the end of
- 8:16Speaker 2: the day, I can see him leaning the way he did,
- 8:18Speaker 2: but Andy Cohen... has revealed, according to Page Six, that
- 8:23Speaker 2: his two favorite franchises are Atlanta and New York.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I knew it.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Very close to his heart.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:31Speaker 2: You know, they're celebrating 20 years of Housewives, and Andy
- 8:35Speaker 2: Cohen's scrapbook has a scrapbook coming out October 20th. With
- 8:41Speaker 2: all these secrets and stuff. Stuff pretty much Rob Shooter
- 8:44Speaker 2: already knows. Let's just put it out there. But let's
- 8:49Speaker 2: be honest. Housewives of New York, his first franchise, correct?
- 8:52Speaker 1: No, it wasn't. It came a little later on. I
- 8:54Speaker 1: think it was the OC that came first. But he
- 8:56Speaker 1: lives in New York. He is a New Yorker. I've
- 8:58Speaker 1: known Andy in New York. He said that the whole
- 9:01Speaker 1: franchise is a gift. I would say it's bought him
- 9:03Speaker 1: a $ 20 million penthouse. He did the interview for this
- 9:07Speaker 1: on his terrace, on his penthouse. Andy, deservably, he created something.
- 9:13Speaker 1: It might be toxic. It might be controversial. But Real
- 9:16Speaker 1: Housewives is a cultural moment. And he was one of
- 9:20Speaker 1: the creators of that. And it has lots and lots
- 9:22Speaker 1: of additions. And this is why the New York show
- 9:25Speaker 1: is never going to go away. Anybody that says, and
- 9:28Speaker 1: we heard the rumors that New York's not doing very well.
- 9:30Speaker 1: The numbers are a bit soft on it, to be honest.
- 9:32Speaker 1: They make up on Peacock. Not a lot of people
- 9:34Speaker 1: now watch Housewives on live TV. They just don't watch
- 9:38Speaker 1: it like that. They stream it on Peacock. So it
- 9:40Speaker 1: still gets viewers. It just doesn't get viewers in the
- 9:43Speaker 1: traditional way. In fact, their numbers are down to about
- 9:46Speaker 1: only 300, 400,000 people tune in on a Tuesday. I
- 9:50Speaker 1: think it's at nine o'clock. to watch it, but then
- 9:52Speaker 1: what does happen is the following days it's put up
- 9:56Speaker 1: on Peacock, the streaming service, and millions of people watch
- 9:59Speaker 1: it there. So New York, it's not getting the numbers,
- 10:01Speaker 1: nowhere near the numbers it used to, but nobody is
- 10:03Speaker 1: on television. Television's a different beast here. But I get
- 10:06Speaker 1: New York and I get Atlanta too. There's something special
- 10:09Speaker 1: about Atlanta. NeNe Leakes, the ladies. It was just so
- 10:12Speaker 1: over the top.
- 10:13Speaker 2: I think Atlanta brought a different vibe to the Housewives franchise. First,
- 10:17Speaker 2: it wasn't just an all-white show, let's just say. It
- 10:21Speaker 2: brought some flavor. It brought some crazy more attention to
- 10:25Speaker 2: the franchise. So I think Atlanta... New York walked so
- 10:31Speaker 2: Atlanta could run.
- 10:32Speaker 1: That's interesting. I don't watch them as much as I
- 10:35Speaker 1: used to. I used to be addicted to them. New
- 10:38Speaker 1: York was always my favorite. And it's probably because I
- 10:40Speaker 1: live here in New York, too. What's your favorite franchise
- 10:43Speaker 1: of the Housewives? Okay, moving along. Jenny McCarthy, who I
- 10:45Speaker 1: used to work for. I forget that I was Jenny's publicist.
- 10:49Speaker 1: She was the first.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I knew Kim Kardashian. I knew J-Lo. But I never
- 10:53Speaker 2: knew Jenny McCarthy.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Jenny McCarthy. She was one of the first people. that
- 10:57Speaker 1: I worked with and she was a real pleasure. She
- 10:59Speaker 1: was a really good person. Are we talking like TV?
- 11:02Speaker 2: Where was she in her career when you were working
- 11:05Speaker 2: with her?
- 11:05Speaker 1: She was before The View. She was primarily known as
- 11:09Speaker 1: an MTV personality and she was known to For Playboy.
- 11:13Speaker 1: She did naked Playboy. She was the biggest selling Playboy.
- 11:16Speaker 1: And she would always sign them. When we walked out
- 11:18Speaker 1: of TV shows together, they always, you know, like autograph
- 11:21Speaker 1: people are standing outside.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Creepy old men. Creepy old men waiting for her.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Some of the pictures they used to show, I'd be like,
- 11:28Speaker 1: oh my goodness. But she would sign them. She's in
- 11:30Speaker 1: on the joke. Well, remember when she dated Jim Carrey?
- 11:33Speaker 1: I forgot about that, too. She was with Jim Carrey
- 11:35Speaker 1: a long time ago. But while she was with him,
- 11:37Speaker 1: it was in 2006, Tom Cruise got married and she
- 11:40Speaker 1: went to the wedding with Jim. I think they invited Jim,
- 11:43Speaker 1: not necessarily Jenny, but she went as the plus one.
- 11:46Speaker 1: She now is claiming that Tom tried to recruit her
- 11:49Speaker 1: and Jim into Scientology. She said that she got the Scientologist.
- 11:55Speaker 2: How's that conversation? How's that conversation?
- 11:58Speaker 1: I think it's a tricky one. But I do think, though,
- 12:01Speaker 1: I've got some Christian friends who do this, who are really,
- 12:05Speaker 1: really devoted to their faith. I went to church with
- 12:09Speaker 1: my mom when I was back over visiting her a
- 12:11Speaker 1: month ago. And they, my mom even said, they've got
- 12:14Speaker 1: their eyes on you. So I think organizations, religions, you
- 12:19Speaker 1: always think about expanding. And so Scientology here, Might be
- 12:23Speaker 1: a little bit more aggressive. But Jenny said, no, but
- 12:26Speaker 1: it does. It does make you wonder. His new friendship
- 12:29Speaker 1: with William and Kate. Is he trying to recruit them?
- 12:33Speaker 1: And is that a bad thing or maybe not?
- 12:36Speaker 2: I could tell you, you know, just getting to talk
- 12:38Speaker 2: to Tom Cruise a few times on red carpets. It's
- 12:42Speaker 2: hard to say no to him.
- 12:42Speaker 1: He's charming.
- 12:44Speaker 2: He's very charming. It's almost like his superpower. You know
- 12:47Speaker 2: what I mean? And maybe it goes to everyone that's
- 12:51Speaker 2: possibly listening right now. you look someone in the eye
- 12:53Speaker 2: and you have a full conversation. You don't wander. You
- 12:56Speaker 2: don't look what's over their shoulder. And that's what Tom
- 12:59Speaker 2: Cruise does. He makes you feel like he's hanging on
- 13:01Speaker 2: to every word possible. And with that, that's where he
- 13:06Speaker 2: can then pretty much, I don't say take power, but
- 13:09Speaker 2: you feel as if you let your guard down. And
- 13:12Speaker 2: I could see that happening with Tom Cruise pitching anybody
- 13:15Speaker 2: to join Scientology.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I get it. I do get it. And from
- 13:20Speaker 1: Tom's perspective here, He's helping you. Tom's not trying to,
- 13:24Speaker 1: in his opinion, pull you into some weird cult. He
- 13:27Speaker 1: thinks that the reason he's so successful is Scientology and
- 13:31Speaker 1: he wants to share that with other people. So Jenny
- 13:33Speaker 1: has confirmed on the record what I think we've all
- 13:36Speaker 1: known for a while. OK, quickly before we get a break, Gareth,
- 13:39Speaker 1: Carrot Top has broken his silence after his suicide attempt.
- 13:43Speaker 1: How's he doing?
- 13:45Speaker 2: He is now coming to and letting everybody know he's
- 13:48Speaker 2: just overwhelmed with love. And it's crazy to think that,
- 13:51Speaker 2: you know, you see you hear Carrot Top and he's
- 13:53Speaker 2: always the butt of jokes and, you know, big comedian
- 13:56Speaker 2: out in Las Vegas. But he's 61 years old. If
- 14:00Speaker 2: you ask me, I wouldn't have guessed.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Forty five. Yeah.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. Like and he's very, you know, very muscular
- 14:06Speaker 2: and built. But it goes to show that you never
- 14:08Speaker 2: know what someone's going through at any given point in time.
- 14:11Speaker 2: But he was released from the hospital back just a
- 14:14Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago on September 26th. And we were
- 14:18Speaker 2: just talking about church. He attended church services. And it's
- 14:23Speaker 2: a very encouraging sign. Now, the question is, will he
- 14:26Speaker 2: be back? And I think he will be back at
- 14:28Speaker 2: the Luxor performing again, which I'm sure will be a
- 14:31Speaker 2: sold-out show for that first night this week. Actually, today
- 14:35Speaker 2: on October 19th.
- 14:36Speaker 1: He's back. He's back today. I'm told from friends, from
- 14:38Speaker 1: family members. that he wants to get back into his routine.
- 14:41Speaker 1: He loves performing, and so he wants to get back.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Some people are saying it's... I always want to know
- 14:46Speaker 1: what's coming out of his box.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Yes, he does.
- 14:48Speaker 1: What's coming out of his box. I wish him the best.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I really do. This was very, very frightening. It seems
- 14:55Speaker 1: to me that he's back at work really fast. However,
- 14:57Speaker 1: I'm told, do not be alarmed here. This is his choice.
- 15:01Speaker 1: It's not just financial. It's that he wants to get
- 15:04Speaker 1: back into his routine, and he's really, really happy. when
- 15:08Speaker 1: he's on that stage with all of his fans there.
- 15:10Speaker 1: He's been doing this a long, long time. It's easy
- 15:13Speaker 1: to forget that he's even there, but no, his residency
- 15:16Speaker 1: in Vegas, it sells great. So good luck to you. Okay,
- 15:19Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break and we will
- 15:21Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty But Nice Show.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I'm your host, Rob Shooter, with my dear friend, Garrett Vogel. Hey,
- 15:29Speaker 1: let's get to the polls. So last show, Harry and
- 15:36Speaker 1: Meghan plotted six more, not one, two, three, four, five,
- 15:39Speaker 1: but six more quasi-royal events. So that thing they did
- 15:42Speaker 1: in Nottingham together, it was very, very successful. You know,
- 15:45Speaker 1: you can argue there were not a lot of people there,
- 15:48Speaker 1: but 100 people for a visit at a charity, it's
- 15:50Speaker 1: not terrible. And let's be honest, When the other royals
- 15:53Speaker 1: do small things like that, they get about 100, 200
- 15:57Speaker 1: people too. So it's not the royal wedding. It's not
- 16:00Speaker 1: a million people on the streets of London. That just
- 16:03Speaker 1: isn't a fair comparison. So anybody that can get 100
- 16:06Speaker 1: people to turn up. Now, some people are saying half
- 16:08Speaker 1: of those folks were media. That's probably true too. The
- 16:11Speaker 1: other thing you have to remember is it's not about
- 16:13Speaker 1: the 100 people in Nottingham. It's the millions of people
- 16:16Speaker 1: around the world that see those photographs. And the pictures
- 16:19Speaker 1: were glorious. They looked great. The crowds looked good. The
- 16:22Speaker 1: crowds looked happy. So I think it was a successful event.
- 16:25Speaker 1: They think it was a successful event. That's more important
- 16:27Speaker 1: than what I think. And so they're planning six more.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Can they win back the British public? One handshake at
- 16:34Speaker 1: a time. 70% said no. But that's down from when
- 16:37Speaker 1: we used to do these sort of questions.
- 16:40Speaker 2: One percent at a time.
- 16:41Speaker 1: I think that this is how they go about it
- 16:43Speaker 1: now is. Is that Nottingham event a one-off? Can they
- 16:47Speaker 1: repeat it? Will people get bored? Like, the trick only
- 16:50Speaker 1: works once. And so I wonder now if they take
- 16:53Speaker 1: it to Birmingham or take it to Bristol or they
- 16:54Speaker 1: take it to Bath or Glasgow. I wonder, but you
- 16:57Speaker 1: never know.
- 16:58Speaker 2: They're not taking it to the gentleman, I can tell
- 17:00Speaker 2: you that.
- 17:00Speaker 1: They're not taking it to the guy Richie does not
- 17:02Speaker 1: want Meghan Markle. Okay, don't forget to vote on today's poll.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Go to our X page at Naughty Nice Rob, our
- 17:09Speaker 1: Facebook page is Naughty Gossip, and be sure to check
- 17:12Speaker 1: back tomorrow to hear your results. And now, oh, it's
- 17:15Speaker 1: time for our nicest of the day.
- 17:21Speaker 2: You put a little something on that one right there.
- 17:23Speaker 2: All right, Taylor Swift. She was in L.A., and there
- 17:26Speaker 2: was a big, big, big event, star-studded Hollywood gala, where
- 17:31Speaker 2: she performed a few songs for pretty much everybody that
- 17:34Speaker 2: was associated with the Academy. There was a big Academy
- 17:38Speaker 2: Museum gala in Los Angeles, and she performed Fate of Ophelia.
- 17:42Speaker 2: She also debuted the song that could give her an Oscar, essentially,
- 17:48Speaker 2: from Toy Story 5. I knew it.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I knew you.
- 17:51Speaker 2: But the interesting thing with The Fate of Ophelia, it
- 17:53Speaker 2: was the first time she performed it live, which then
- 17:56Speaker 2: got all the Swifties going. Could this mean something down
- 17:59Speaker 2: the road? Which, again, they take every little inkling that
- 18:02Speaker 2: Taylor puts out there and kind of applies it to
- 18:04Speaker 2: the future. So you never know what might happen with
- 18:06Speaker 2: Taylor's tour. If there is one, who knows? But she
- 18:11Speaker 2: looked great. I mean, everyone was there. We're talking Steven Spielberg,
- 18:14Speaker 2: Charlize Theron, Coleman Domingo, Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake, Sabrina Carpenter.
- 18:21Speaker 2: It was the place to be on Saturday night if
- 18:23Speaker 2: you were in Los Angeles in a movie star or singer.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Absolutely. A friend of mine was in the room, and
- 18:27Speaker 1: they texted me, she's just won herself an Oscar. So
- 18:30Speaker 1: Taylor has pretty much every award in the world. She
- 18:33Speaker 1: doesn't have an Oscar yet.
- 18:35Speaker 2: She doesn't have an Oscar, but if she were to
- 18:36Speaker 2: get an Oscar, that.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Just means one more thing. She'll have them all. So
- 18:41Speaker 1: they just said she did herself a ton of favors.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Bobby, you need to get Barry on the phone.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Get working.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Barry and Taylor.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Get working on that. Get working on that. Okay, let's
- 18:49Speaker 1: do our naughties of the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty. Jenna
- 18:53Speaker 1: Dewan gets a new dance partner as Val has been
- 18:57Speaker 1: suspended from the show. So our naughties of the day
- 19:00Speaker 1: here is not Jenna, it's Val. So Val went after
- 19:03Speaker 1: Carrie Ann Arbor and it was so aggressive that the
- 19:05Speaker 1: show decided that he needs to take a little bit
- 19:08Speaker 1: of a time out. I've seen this happen when stars
- 19:12Speaker 1: get a little bit too big for their bridges and
- 19:15Speaker 1: they start to think that they are bigger than the show.
- 19:17Speaker 1: The star is the show. I like Val. I like
- 19:19Speaker 1: his brother Max. It was a mistake. I think it
- 19:22Speaker 1: was just a dumb thing to do. A week off
- 19:25Speaker 1: with no pay seems like a fair punishment to me.
- 19:28Speaker 1: But moving forward now, just be careful. Don't blow a
- 19:31Speaker 1: good thing. I know a few of these dancers. And
- 19:34Speaker 1: they regret not doing the show anymore.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I have a theory.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Tell me.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I have a theory.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Tell me what happened.
- 19:37Speaker 2: All right, so I think you can check with the ratings,
- 19:40Speaker 2: but Dancing with the Stars has been at its peak
- 19:42Speaker 2: over the last several years than it's been previously. So
- 19:46Speaker 2: everyone is drawn to the show. It's a reality show
- 19:49Speaker 2: within a reality show. Carrie Ann Inaba has become the
- 19:52Speaker 2: ultimate villain, per se, of the show. But there's also
- 19:57Speaker 2: been talkings and rumblings online that the show favors people
- 20:02Speaker 2: of like Jenna and Val and Val's wife as well
- 20:12Speaker 2: and her partner. So this goes to show that the
- 20:15Speaker 2: show is speaking out, going, hey, we're showing you that
- 20:18Speaker 2: there is no favoritism. We're suspending him for one week
- 20:21Speaker 2: for something he said online, and that was it. So
- 20:24Speaker 2: that's the show going, oh, we're poo-pooing the idea that
- 20:28Speaker 2: we show favoritism towards anybody. And we're suspending them for
- 20:32Speaker 2: one week.
- 20:33Speaker 1: And naughtiest of the day. Okay, let's end with a
- 20:36Speaker 1: moment of Rob. You've got to rub, you've got to rub.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Stop making enemies and start making friends. Make a muggle.
- 20:40Speaker 1: I hope you're listening. So some people seem to thrive
- 20:43Speaker 1: on drama and they pick fights and they create enemies
- 20:46Speaker 1: and they confuse attention with affection. But being talked about
- 20:51Speaker 1: is not the same as being loved. Every argument doesn't
- 20:55Speaker 1: need a winner. Every disagreement doesn't need to become a war.
- 20:59Speaker 1: And every slight doesn't deserve revenge. The happiest people I
- 21:03Speaker 1: know aren't constantly trying to prove something. No, they're too
- 21:07Speaker 1: busy building wonderful lives. So drama might get you attention.
- 21:11Speaker 1: But kindness is what earns you respect. So ask yourself,
- 21:14Speaker 1: do you want people thinking about you or genuinely, genuinely
- 21:19Speaker 1: caring about you? Making enemies is easy. Making friends takes courage. Hey,
- 21:25Speaker 1: that is it for today. Thank you so much for
- 21:28Speaker 1: listening to the Naughty But Nice with Rob and Garrett show.
