Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: time for the 49ers rush podcast.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: And here's your host, John Chapman.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_02]: What is going on faithful?
- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's absolutely incredible to be with everybody today.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: And then I was not planning on doing a morning show.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be recording later this evening with Larry Kruger.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm doing another show with an Australian football podcast later today, the outback.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_02]: So that's gonna be fun.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: But, man, how do you not jump on?
- 0:58[SPEAKER_02]: and talk about the new development that not only is Nick Bosa jumping on that plane later today, George Kittles going to Australia, there is no way that these two players would jump on this plane for 35 hour flight time there and back.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_02]: If they were going to play, this is absolutely bonkers.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_02]: that you're about seven months removed from an Achilles tear at 32 years old and I will eat crow.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: I have been wrong about this non-stop.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: Non-stop.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I want to air on the side of caution.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: I believe in the age.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, just Achilles tears usually take forever.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think George Kiddles back to his all-pro-self, but that's okay if he is healthy enough and you know, it definitely have major question marks with the 49ers, you know, strengthened performance staff for sure, they have the worst track record in pro sports.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: So like that is problematic for sure, but at the same time,
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: you have to be able to sit there and right right here monkey says you know the let's go part of my brain is drowning out the better safe than sorry part like like there's an opportunity to cost with every single decision that's made period period but the bare minimum the 49ers are better team which works kiddo out there period period
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: That MF for better be playing, and that is cause for celebration.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm so pumped to me, and this is awesome.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: George gives back, and he's going to be playing to get some ramps.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: We won.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_02]: That is huge.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: This is episode 1,700 and 11 of the 49er source podcast.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_02]: Have to thank you our executive producers, Williamson Claire, David Gill, Corey Robbins, 49er's George 365.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: Love all the hashtag CC's monkey was in here.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_02]: First, thank you guys.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: Um, as always, man, if you've got questions, you've got comments.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: You want something to dive into.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_02]: I've got a lot of notes set up for today's show that I did not get to a yesterday show with Wayne, which was a fun episode, by the way.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so if you have question, man, get those in the chat.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate all of you guys coming in here.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_02]: This is another development evil day.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I saw Jake Glazer put out there, we would talk about Aaron Donald, that week one is, quote, still on the table, in quote, week two, week three is much more likely the very first game for Aaron Donald.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: Now,
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: talk about two different teams at two different approaches to everything, right?
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: Aaron Donald, I mean, Sean McVeigh, Kyle Shanahan, they definitely marched to the beat of their own drums.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_02]: They do not follow conventional wisdom throughout the NFL with scheduling, practice habits, combine, fill in the blank.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: They do their own things.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_02]: You've got the Rams going over there 24 hours before kickoff, which I think is insanity.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: But I also thought it was insane to have the possibility of George Kittle playing week, right?
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: I was wrong.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: I was wrong.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: But because they're waiting, they get to make the decisions on who's going to Australia and who is not at a much later date where as the 49ers leave literally today, they have to make that decision now, the 49ers do.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: And they did with George Kittle and Nick Bosa, they are going.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, you know, what's going to happen with Donald?
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: But man, yeah, it would be also if he did not play week one, they still have an amazing defensive tackle group, one of the best in the NFL.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_02]: Poena Ford is one of my all-time favorite players at the University of Texas.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_02]: I remember whenever he came out in the draft and I was just like, dude, I've got a fourth round draft pick on this guy, he didn't get drafted at all, was undrafted.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, this is a major mistake, he's two damn good against the run.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: Now he's one of the top highest paid defensive tackles in the NFL, like seven years later.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: Kobe Turner, like, they've got a solid defense attack with a much better than the 49ers.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe definitely not as deep, but that's the thing.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: The Rams, they've never had a deep roster.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, when you look at even their starting lineup, there are major weaknesses.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: As you can say within the NFL team, they're offensive tackles.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_02]: They're linebackers, major issues.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: So, so they have issues on both sides, they have two elite wide receivers, Puka Nakua, the biter, and, you know, Devote Adams, who was old, he's the same draft as Mike Evans, he's had as many injury, maybe not actually, yeah, I think he's had more injuries.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_02]: two elite older guys like there are questions on both rosters.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt about it.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_02]: And you know I know people dive into this like all the rams, the rams, the rams, the rams, the rams, the rams, the rams.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: Not so fast, not so fast.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_02]: And the fact that George Kiddles is going to play, that is a gigantic addition because again, what is the rams weakness on defense?
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: Since Sean McVay has been there
- 6:26[SPEAKER_02]: You need to tell me, Christian McCaffrey and George Kidore are gonna be playing week one against those linebackers.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: That is a major matchup swing towards the 49ers in their offense.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's huge.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: Kimberho, coming through with the super chat, what's up, man.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: This Rams game is huge for divisional position.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you have six divisional games a year.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: You've got your three, you know, divisional opponents, you play each one of them twice.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_02]: And man, you look at last year the 49ers one week one against Seattle Seahawks.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_02]: Well, how that sees and turn out.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: Seahawks going a mad run.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: You know, they win the division.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: They get the first round by.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: They get home field advantage.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_02]: They win the Super Bowl.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, even yesterday on the show, Wayne said, you know, week one's a must win.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: I don't buy into that.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: I think that you treat every single game.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: as it is a must win, but like must win games come in December, sometimes no Vimper, I don't put October games in the must win category almost ever, and I sure it's how they'll put September games there.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: But it's got a lot of weight.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: Now, the amount of publicity and pressure and all those things for this week, one game, it's huge.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_02]: One, you've got the Australia thing.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_02]: You've got this crazy insane offseason that can be almost righted, you know what I mean?
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like, oh, all the craziness with Jed and Kyle and injuries and blah, blah, blah, and beer saw,
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: to take your shot and love, like all those things, winning, curious off.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: So if you're in this position where it's just like, man, why is there always so much drama and oh, why can't we just be normal?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: When's fix everything?
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: Winning changes everything.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, Kim Bro, this game is huge.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: You only get six.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: and damn I hate the ramps.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_02]: I hate the same old, sorry ass ramps.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_02]: Go out there and they make all these moves and all these trades and bringing players out of retirement and whatever else.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_02]: And you go to Australia and put them in their place where they belong, which is a beyond a second tier franchise.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: That narrative is gonna change real quick.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: That narrative is gonna change real quick.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: Ah.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, slick right here.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's, you know, damn well, McVay will make every put everything possible for Donald to play.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that factors into them leaving so late, not you who knows.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: Don't know.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: This is all conjecture, right?
- 9:08[SPEAKER_02]: But, oh, man, I freaking love it.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, faithful.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: This is the first season of Lawn Time where I have no idea what's going to happen this season.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: But either way, it's big, big, neither game.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: The wins, like, you look at last season for the 49ers where everything could go wrong went wrong.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's still one, 12 games and a playoff road game.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like, that is, that's crazy.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's better than any season the Dallas Cowboys have had in three consecutive decades.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: And that was a quote, unquote, down year for the 49ers.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: you put a rookie out there that can't pass protected car for willys should rock party takes a couple of necessary hits offense kit keep going christian cafe slated play right now that's awesome and as long as he's out there I feel like the office the offense will at least be efficient Mike Evans is he going to play much Nick both is he going to play much does forcing George Kittle back early
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: have residual effects later on it like there are questions that this is not just uh... forty nighters are the favorites they're not they're not they're not the favorites they're not the second favorites in their division vagus and everybody else has them coming in third in their own division what's guess what they did last year as well they did last year as well so it's it there's a wide spectrum
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: with the idea that the 49ers could not at least replicate what they did last year.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: This is recent see by us, but man, you look at that white receiver room that was just hogwash head into the playoffs.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, to Mark's Robbyship was your number one white receiver in the playoffs.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: Now he's your number four.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: Talk about major improvements.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: Cornerback room, major improvements, lineback room.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, you had Garrett Wallow, Tatum, Bethoon, and D winners were your starting linebackers in the playoffs.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: They played relatively well.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: Now you have Fred Warner.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Drake Greenlaw, major upside.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: What position for the 49ers has taken a step back?
- 11:30[SPEAKER_02]: I can't take a one.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_02]: I really can't.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_02]: their way more healthy now.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: The only player that is quote unquote out week one is Ricky Pierce saw and there's no, he's out.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure other players will be as well.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: But as of right now, that's the only player that you know, was played in that last year's left, but what did Ricky Pierce saw do in the play?
- 11:53[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, zero catches on 42 steps.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man, how do you replace that?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: You can put John Chapman out there and
- 12:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, maybe I might block that or I probably can't, but like, you see what I'm saying?
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I understand the cautious nature.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not saying that's you faithful, but yeah, like we could play devil's advocate.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: This nine or season could not go great.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: man, the amount of evidence in support for why it could be better than it was last year is overwhelming.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't have my evidence.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't have kiddo on the playoffs.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: You're starting quarterback, missed eight games.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_02]: Eight games.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: Your wide receivers were terrible.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_02]: Your corners were all right.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: Your linebackers were terrible.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_02]: Defensive line was terrible.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_02]: If one, two, or three, or more of those things improve actually, there's no way the safeties can be as bad.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: They have better coaching.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_02]: Rainy Morris is a secondary guy Jerry Gray one of the best in the NFL over the past couple decades at coaching them safety like can they increase just a little bit yeah they were dog dog trash last year all three of them that were back there well dog the same three are back
- 13:15[SPEAKER_02]: no way they're going to be as bad.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_02]: There's like, you see what I'm saying?
- 13:19[SPEAKER_02]: Do I think that this is gonna be a 12 win 49ers team?
- 13:23[SPEAKER_02]: If I could guarantee that, I'd sign up right now.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: 12 wins, we'll get you in the playoffs every single time if you're in the dance.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_02]: Great things could happen.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_02]: They're overunderers 10 and a half.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_02]: The highest over under win-wise is 11.5 in the NFL and that's Seahawks, that's Rams, and that's Ravens.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_02]: They're the highest.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_02]: So, the Niners had 12 wins last year, which is more than any team is projected for this year, based on the betting lines.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, it's going to be a roller coaster, and it's a week by week, right.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: that you get to start all the way across the world for the first ever game in Australia.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_02]: Can't wait, man.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: Fly out Saturday.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: And I just fly out today.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: We fly out Saturday.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: In Vader, throw a Donald out there weak one without any ramp up period.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_02]: Would be about the dumbest thing they could do.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know, man.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: Right here, the Rams rationalization for flying out late is that they did it for the London game.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_02]: As somebody who was flown to London recently, one, I was tired as hell.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_02]: Like, and I've talked about this on the show, I don't do long flights well.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I forget this, not stopped to Melbourne.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm not excited about it to say the least, but I could not, like, I was a disaster.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_02]: I was a disaster walking around Europe.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: for like two days.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: Now these are NFL athletes and they're younger and they get a, you know, they get the nice laid-down seats and all that stuff, but like damn, man.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way I was in peak situation.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, two different approaches to it.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's what it is.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: Sand appreciates you.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for the super chat.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: I feel a little better listening to you.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: Sherman is saying we didn't prove the offensive lines sufficiently to match the seahawks and the Rams.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_02]: They did not.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: And when they asked John Lynch after the season was over,
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: Like do you feel like you have to address the office of line after playing the seawks and John Lynch goes, well, the seawks did that to everybody, so it's not just us like do that that answer still Erks the hell out of me like oh well they beat the shit out of everybody so like who cares?
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's so dumb like you got absolutely manhandled at the point of attack and yeah Go to the Texas game same thing happened elite defensive line Freak it what that was was just rough man
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: So you do draft and sign multiple, like you sign an interior offensive lineman and Brett Taut who got hurt and now he's on IR, but you also drafted an interior offensive lineman and Carver Willis.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: You sign an offensive tackle and Viderian low.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: I love that sign and he gets injured, but he's looking to be back now and you draft one and Enrique Cruz.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_02]: So like,
- 16:31[SPEAKER_02]: The Niners definitely addressed the position and bringing in four new offensive linemen that were projected to make the roster, three of those four did, and then you traded for another interior offensive linemen, Jared Patterson.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not like the 49ers are just like, yeah, we're not even going to try.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: They are tried.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: Now this is the first offensive tackle and Rick A. Cruz Jr that they've drafted in four consecutive drafts.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_02]: The only team in the NFL that
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: Are they going to any of those guys going to contribute week one at any part of the season.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: Carver Willis might.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: I do think that he's probably going to start.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, like every single team.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_02]: Every single head coach.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: It goes out there, you know, it has inefficiencies in the salary cap world with 22 starters.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: It's just what it is.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: Where are the Ramsey Fistiencies, special teams, linebacker offensive tackles, depth, those are their issues.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: They're the second oldest team in the NFL.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_02]: They're older than the 49ers, 49ers have their issues, guard, interior offensive
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: Right, so like which deficiencies do you have more confidence in?
- 17:55[SPEAKER_02]: The NFL is a match-up league.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's what's so beautiful about football on the schematics and all those things.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: You could do the paper matchups and like well this team beat that team by 20 and we beat that team therefore we should be able to beat the 13.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_02]: That's not the way it works.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's not the way it works.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_02]: If you take advantage of linebacker play, you have success against Sean McVay teams.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_02]: If you can do that, you have success against Sean McVay teams, defenses, and that's been the case since, you know, wait, Phillips, to preheat Morris whenever they want the Super Bowl, you can keep going through, you know, all the guys that they got there.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man, I love this.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_02]: I love this.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: I love this.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: I am so freaking excited.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_02]: And like, the NFL is upon us, guys.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's here, it's here.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: We have football in a week's time.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: We have a Wednesday game that a Thursday game.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_02]: No, two stays in a Wednesday game.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: And again, the times all weird because I'm going off Australia time already because I'm going to be there.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: The game in Australia is Thursday, but for you guys, it's Wednesday.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: Just like, man, I feel like awesome powers.

- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: to like, you know, broadcast over all these different platforms, YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, blah, blah, blah, blah, Instagram, Facebook, whatever.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: And then we upload the audio after the show's over to the other platforms.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_02]: It like, it was pretty cool.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_02]: You know, they gave, you know, stream yard does this like where you fit in streamers.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_02]: which was cool.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_02]: And like we're in the top one percent.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure we're not one of the top ones, but like they maybe we are.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_02]: We've been doing this a while.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_02]: And the only reason why I'm allowed to continue this madness is because of people like you and Nathaniel.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_02]: So wherever you guys watch Endora Listen, I just want to say thank you, means the world to me and man, love you all.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_02]: And if you ever see me, especially at a game or whatever, please say hi.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_02]: That is my one time that I get to thank you appropriately and person.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I don't know you.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't get to see you guys.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_02]: You'll see my red cheeks, but I can't please give me the opportunity just to say thank you in person means the world to me.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you Nathaniel.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_02]: Now, here's the thing.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_02]: Two questions, favorite, drapick and undrapted free agent, then versus favorite drapick and free agent.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_02]: Now,
- 22:34[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I had, you know, you drafted one of my rush crush players and just Sean Stribbling.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_02]: It was a reach for sure.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: I had a ranked in the in like the late 40s, Niners drafted him 33rd overall first pick the second round.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_02]: I loved that pick.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_02]: I really, really did.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was a little early, but where we are now.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_02]: Good gosh.
- 22:55[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_02]: Do you should have went earlier, right?
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: Grace and Halton was probably my favorite pick.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: Now you jump to
- 23:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm still going to go to Sean Strippling and mass.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: Still love grace and all the budget and dug her might be not the bell of the ball because you got him much later, but I did not, I know you didn't ask this.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: My two least favorite picks were Jayden dug her in Caitlin Black, those were my two least favorite.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_02]: Now it's like, all right, both of those picks might be pretty good picks, undrafted free agent wise, Khalil Dinkens and Kamara, Kamara tears his ACL his seasons over, Dinkens wasn't quite healthy coming in.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: They, you know, scratch him, bring him back.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_02]: He's on the practice squad, which is nice.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_02]: But James Thompson Jr has to be the favorite UDFA currently.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_02]: But, man, I just want to say thank you.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: For the support you are a freaking legend in your own right.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_02]: You are the man.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: You are the man.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_02]: Dale coming in with the big one.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for the super chat man.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: John's been this on a bottle of angels envy.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's yum.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: Enjoy and let's freaking go.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you sir.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_02]: Hat tip to you.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: And I will.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_02]: Angels envy.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_02]: Who the stuff is?
- 24:14[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: I could taste it.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: Just thinking about it.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: I could taste it.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: Just thinking about it.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: Right here.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_02]: Callie.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: Book of my kids suspended week one.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, I'm not laughing at the situation for sure.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_02]: Shoot, I was raised and lived in those situations.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: My entire childhood, it is, it's not comical.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like, dude, that whole Pukas situation is rough, new allegations are out.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think, I'm not one of those,
- 24:53[SPEAKER_02]: guys that thinks the NFL gives the ram special treatment.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't know, like there's there's photo evidence and whatever else and I don't know.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't think that they want to mess up any of their whatever anyway, you know, like what's going to happen in Australia and week one and all that stuff.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think Pukas got to get suspended, you know, after they're a machine rice and all that kind of stuff.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's just kind of.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know man, but there's definitely an opportunity for that to take place.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_02]: I hope it gets the help he needs and stops hurting other people as we always go.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right here in generic, not just, yes, they do give ribs, but I can tell you 100% with factual evidence, they do pipe in noise to their stadium at home games.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_02]: 100, like, it is non-to-beatable.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_02]: I have witnessed this firsthand, literally standing next to a speaker, and it's just like the loudest thing in the world, and you look around.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_02]: And there are no Rams fans behind you.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_02]: There's none.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: But it's just this roar of Rams fans cheering.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_02]: And like you could do stuff before 15 seconds on the play clock.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_02]: But like it happens on third down every single time in that damn stadium.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: It happens every single time of that in that damn stadium.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: The car port of so-fi which the Niners will get a play there maybe not once maybe not twice three times They already played there once for the preseason.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_02]: They will play the chargers there Late on the Thursday game and then the Super Bowl's there.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get it, baby.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get it.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: And if the 49ers do make the Super Bowl
- 26:36[SPEAKER_02]: rest assured we will be there but not at the game we will be hosting a watch party for those that can't spend you know seven eight ten thousand dollars per ticket but we'll be down in LA we already have stuff set up which we do every year uh shout out to my man Scotty Mack
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: Um, an ex hospitality, but like, if the Niners make the Super Bowl this year or any year, we will be there again, like what we did in Vegas, which was probably one of my favorite events we've ever done, where we do like a watch party and ran out of place for 49 years fans to come all inclusive type thing and be together, Super Bowl is awesome.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: If you can afford that money, shh, hats off to you, um, but.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: We'll be doing Super Bowl watch parties any time the 49ers are together to get the community together and celebrate appropriately in the city where it is.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, stay stay for that.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: I hope it happens.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: Hugo question.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: Have the nighters named captains yet?
- 27:31[SPEAKER_02]: No, they have not.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_02]: They don't do it until Monday, not this Monday, we're talking, you know, five days.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: That is when they do their captain stuff and all that stuff.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_02]: So stay tuned for that.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_02]: And Monday's a big day.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: Monday is a big day, which I will be in the air still, because we leave Saturday night, we leave at like 11 p.m.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_02]: And then 17 hours we land, which is like two stay time here, so like I'm not going to have a Monday show because I'll be on that damn plane, but Monday's a huge day because shoot that that's when, you know, Kyle even talked about at the left guard spot.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: You know, who's going to be starting there?
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, we've got till Monday to find out.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like Monday is whatever you decide those things.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's when the players vote on everything.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: You have your starting line upset, practice that week.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: You go through, okay, starters, give me the ones, give me the twos, like all that stuff.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_02]: And so it's fluid as of this moment right now.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: Monday is a big day.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: You get your captains?
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: You get your starters, you get, you know, who's everywhere?
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: You're kickoff return, you're put return, you're all this stuff.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_02]: So, Monday's a big deal.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: And that's when we'll be getting all of that news.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: Hugo, you were the freaking man, you were the man.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: And right here Steven, stickin' with that left guard conversation.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_02]: John, what do you think of Patterson?
- 28:59[SPEAKER_02]: Do you see him as our future center?
- 29:02[SPEAKER_02]: No, Carver Willis is the future center.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_02]: Carver Willis will be the center long term.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: Now, in the Chris Forster developmental plan, he's done this with so many players.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_02]: You got to learn guard first if you're going to play center.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: Rookie centers, just not a thing.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: Not a thing in the Kyle Shenthan, Chris Forster, scheme.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: Got to learn guard.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: The tape, Metropolis, attributes, everything of Carver Willis, Scream Center.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_02]: That is where he's already taken center snaps, like for emergency situations.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_02]: He would be the emergency situation.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_02]: Patterson is a one-year bandade utility inside player.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: Now back to Kyle Shanahan, whenever he was asked about Jared Patterson, he said, we got to get him in the group right away.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: and see where he fits over the next three days.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_02]: And then Monday, you make that decision, right?
- 30:03[SPEAKER_02]: So you've got the Monday practice we just had, Tuesday practice we just had, Wednesday practice happening right now, which is a very light practice, fly to Australia tonight.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: These guys are gonna go through tape on the plane.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: Collectively as a coach.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: Who do you want out there?
- 30:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's going to be a rotation and I think it's probably a little too late for Jared Patterson probably it's going to be Carver Willis starts Connor Colby probably rotates is my guess and so I think Patterson would be a rotational
- 30:32[SPEAKER_02]: guard slash center utility guy.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_02]: And now you have quality depth on the offensive like Jared Patterson is a great backup, great backup with experience.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: That's a above level pass protector below low average run blocker.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's not a peer, I don't know what they use to
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: He's a flawed player, but the NFL has a major deficiency at quality, depth, offensive linemen.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_02]: Don't have them.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: You really don't have them.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's why people pay out the wall zoo for guys like Aaron Baines.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: You're hoping, man, if he stays healthy and we get that take that.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_02]: He put out his second year man.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_02]: And so teams have to overpay for that.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: And they didn't get that.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: Teams don't get that.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_02]: And it look how much Mike McGlenshee made.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's a top five paid right tackle.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like, think about how much this fan base hated him.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_02]: Top five paid left at a right tackle.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_02]: Offensive line is a mess across the NFL period period period period.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_02]: And then you even have teams like the chargers that invest nothing but first and second and third round picks.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: And they're offensive line still sucks because they can't stay healthy.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_02]: So there's not just this easy, oh yeah, just do this.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you even look at the Eagles who you have to say, like, by far one of the best offensive lines over the past decade, continuously, they fired one of the greatest offensive line coaches in NFL history.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_02]: They're starting left tackle as a seventh round pick, like they developed.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_02]: The Niners have developed as well.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the fact they called to be kids is a fifth round pick that has done what he has done.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: think 51 consecutive starts, but Jared Patterson's good.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that you have three viable options for that left guard spot.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_02]: Connor Colby's most consistent.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: Misses on stunts.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: And whenever he misses, he misses bad.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: Carver Willis, amazing run game, horrible pass bro, just horrible.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: He got every single quarterback that lined up behind him, hit this game recently.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: And then he got Jared Patterson, who's man, great at pass bro, he's going to keep your quarterback upright, not going to get any movement in the run game.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_02]: So you've got three decisions to make.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_02]: I would go with consistency.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Niners will go with upside because the whiffs that Connor Colby has
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: You've got to keep your head outside.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_02]: You can't just help block down inside when somebody crosses your face.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody's going to replace outside.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_02]: And he's just done so many times.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_02]: It just seems like so I don't know why people argue it in there, but that's okay I love you guys you guys are all right Impassion I love the passion and you're not gonna settle debates in YouTube live comments, but maybe you will maybe you will what's the the rest of development To range people always fool themselves and they're thinking that it will solve all their problems.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_02]: Does it ever work?
- 33:41[SPEAKER_02]: No almost never
- 33:43[SPEAKER_02]: But in our situation, maybe it will.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it will.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: Now, the one thing that I go back to consistently, if you really are passionate and you really want to dive into these conversations about this player's good, this player's bad, blah, blah, blah, you gotta go to the tape.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_04]: I paint until I really see the tape, but you gotta see the tape to really see what it looks like, but then I'll see it close from the film.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: The things that we saw on tape, the things that we require.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_04]: I hope you look the same on tape.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_03]: Get better from the tape, but before we're hoping that's a good film on those guys, and we'll get to those things we got on the plane.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: If the 49ers coaches and players have to watch the tape, what do you think you need to do?
- 34:24[SPEAKER_02]: Well, guess what?
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: We got the tape.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_02]: The 49ers rush.com and our Patreon channel, patreon.com slash 49ers rush podcast.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: We have every offensive defense and special teams play outlined in all 22 and in zone coaches tape to go through and show you play by play what this guy did wrong, what this guy did right.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_02]: Who was wrong?
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: Who was right?
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: All those things.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's way better than just grades or anything you got trust me.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_02]: Once you sign up, you get it all seven day free trial right now.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_02]: Plus we have monthly zoom hangouts.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_02]: We place our monthly bets weekly bets season long bets all on there.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to be a better fan, you want to understand football better.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_02]: Guess what?
- 35:03[SPEAKER_02]: The 49ers rush.com is the place to go.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_02]: All right, um, you guys are awesome.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: Look at this couch, so it's going to be funny with the offensive line.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's top 10 for consecutive years at a row.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_02]: You've got three, I would say, very, very good above average starters.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: Trip Williams obviously way above, uh, still all pro level.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: Colton McKibitz Pro Bowl level Dominique Pony slightly below pro Bowl level.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and Jake brindles really good in past pro horrible in the run game, but like he does provide continuity, smart, he's athletic.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: He's good in past protection.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_02]: He's just so bad in the run game.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_02]: Any quits early.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's so man, you're talking 60% of your offensive line.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_02]: You have quality plus level starters.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: Not very many teams can say that.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_02]: You know, again, and this is just off to top of my head.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I probably say there's 10 to 12 teams that have three plus level starters on the offensive line, like that's it.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: And then you factor in Kyle Shanning hand, you know, Chris Forster, their scheme benefits the offensive line more than anything quarterbacks and offensive line have a much easier time in this scheme.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_02]: And so, yeah, like I do think the 49ers are around that number 10 level.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's how far will the left tackle pull or the left guard, sorry.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_02]: The left guard pull the unit down.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_02]: The the the adage, age old adage.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you're as strong as your weakest link.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: Ah, not really in a zone scheme.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: Not really in a zone scheme.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_02]: Not really in a zone scheme.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: Because
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of times one block will ruin it, but not always.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_02]: Not always.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: Cam's dad thinks for the super chat man, we need week one win of just like last year to set the tone.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_02]: Set the tone.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_02]: Are you good?
- 37:10[SPEAKER_02]: Then you're going.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, sure is the baby.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_02]: You want to set the tone right.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_02]: And the 49ers have been really, really good.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: Under Kyle Shanahan week one they really really have I don't know what is Let's see here.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm I'm gonna you guys don't get mad at me.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to the the AI machine Kyle Shanahan record and week one games We'll see what the the old compute puts out there, but yeah, you want to set the tone and the neither schedules awesome because you get
- 37:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you get some easy games.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know, week three, you got the Cardinals, week two, you got the freaking dolphins, which will be at, which I'm super excited about.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, like you look at the schedule, and it's just like, hmm, oh, there we go.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: Kyle Shannon's five and four.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_02]: Um, since he's taken over for the 49ers has played this, he started two and four.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my gosh.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: So he's one three consecutive week one games.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe one of my favorite like badass moments like for the 49ers where you just knew in the tone was set.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_02]: We won.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_02]: and freaking Pittsburgh against the Steelers.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: Do you all remember that?
- 38:21[SPEAKER_02]: And they had that DB that was like talking trash against I, you I, you goes out there and scores two touchdowns.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: And he's talking about, I want to intercept Brock Perti and Brock Perti just lit their asses up.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we were at that game.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: It was a 49ers rush road trip.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: And it was Accreshier's awesome.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like the stadium itself isn't top five, but the experience.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: And Akrasher and Pittsburgh and the fans and the history and the nostalgia and the traditions that they have there top five experience places to go watch a game
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: Niners the faithful took over that damn stadium and by the third quarter is a blowout All the fans were leaving.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: We were doing chance in the fourth quarter and everybody was like moving down like it was solid Niner fans at the end of the game and Steelers fans just walked around shaking their heads can't believe this.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: They were like we had fans that were cussing not at us Because we were in somebody else's season ticket seats
- 39:16[SPEAKER_02]: and they were pissed off and they're like, man, I can't wait to talk to someone so I cannot believe they sold their seats to Niners fans, uh, which, man, you put them up on there.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_02]: You don't know who's buying them.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_02]: Um, it's what it is, but like, that week one was like this year special.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think that was 2023.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_02]: It was like this year.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_02]: special.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and so yeah, like can you do that all the way across the world?
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: The shot heard round the world baby.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, my whole school house rock anybody, anybody shot heard round the world.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_02]: Start in the revolution.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, awesome video school house rock that's what's up.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I'm with you, camp.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm with you.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, look at this.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: We've got the man Eric Meister for those of you don't know, um, I should probably do better at this.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not good at it.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: And so apologies, our social media is fire.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_02]: And the reason why it is is Eric Meister right here.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_02]: He is the absolute best.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_02]: He runs our social media.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: So if you haven't followed us yet on Instagram.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_02]: or Facebook or shoot TikTok, wherever we're all over the place.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_02]: We're on threads, 49ers rush podcasts.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you to my man, Eric.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: And he says right here, we beat the Seahawks week one last year and they won the Super Bowl.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_02]: Week one does not define the season, but it sure has held elevates expectations and just kind of calms all nerves.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_02]: Note out about that.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_02]: As a player or as a coach, I've been a part of Wednesdays and losses week one.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_02]: always better to win.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_02]: There is no doubt about that, but it is a long season.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's a marathon.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, 17 games, man.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: In season.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: No teams ever gone undefeated and won the Super Bowl.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_02]: The sides, the 12 and no dolphins back in 72.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: A little bit different now.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_02]: A little bit different now.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_02]: Dell what's up man serious question about brindle do you think he is a security blanket for Brock because he caused protection.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_02]: I get he is a brainy player, but yeah, you know, everybody loves shake brindle.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Brock pretty tells the story.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: He found out about his extension.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: He was out playing golf with brindle.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody jokes around with Brando on the sideline.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: He's a beloved player on the locker room.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_02]: The coaches love them.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_02]: He provides continuity.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think his best asset is his durability hasn't missed.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's missed two games like in three and a half years, which is awesome.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: Hard to get hurt whenever you're playing to the whistle, but
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, he's definitely, he's very good in past protection.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's, he is in a above average past protector for sure.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_02]: The metrics, whatever else does he have those plays where he just gets, you know, once every other game just gets on contact, gets lifted up off the ground and put on his back and it's just like, oh my gosh, man, has a family.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's a lot of those moments.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_02]: You probably get about 10 to 12 a year.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_02]: My biggest issues with Jake Bendo is like do that's why you can't run the ball middle gets no movement.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_02]: He gets pushed back.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_02]: It gets every single defense attack will consistently every single game and then he quits early.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's my problem.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_02]: I can't run a quarterback sneak and not touch anybody if you're the center.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: He does it all the time.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like he will find his way to not make content.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_02]: He's a little bit of Jordan walk in.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes, but it's like, yeah, but no, Bendo.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_02]: you get what you pay for.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I would argue, the 49ers get a value of Prindle.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: He's like the 18th highest paid center per year.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_02]: But he's a career practice squad guy that followed Chris Forster around.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's what it is.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I want to upgrade that center.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_02]: And when they drafted Carver Willis, I was like, this is the guy.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to take a year.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: This is the last year of Jake Prindle's contract.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: They did not extend him.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_02]: They gave him more guaranteed money.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_02]: that they were going to extend him and add on more years.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like I think for what Jake Pinto has done, it is time to move on.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_02]: I would really like to have a quality run game that can run the ball up the middle at some point during Kyle Shanahan's tenure.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_02]: You had it with Mac.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_02]: That was short lived, right?
- 43:24[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, he is a security blanket.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: And Ben, he does,
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: very, very good job.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_02]: All right here, Blue, what's up, man?
- 43:32[SPEAKER_02]: John, how do I get in touch with you?
- 43:33[SPEAKER_02]: Email is always the best way, 49ers rush podcasts and Gmail.com, which we are always looking for sponsors.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: We still have a couple slots left for the season.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: We filled up a lot of them, but yeah, if you want your
- 43:47[SPEAKER_02]: business, idea, whatever you want to show some love, some support.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: We have packages that are fully customizable, down small packages where you do, you know, one episode a week all the way up to shoot, man, your name and logos behind us on the banner on every video we shoot and all those different things.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, reach out 49ers rush podcasts at gmail.com.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_02]: I would say be patient with us.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_02]: We are a little bit behind on our emails because, man, I'm trying to get ready for all
- 44:16[SPEAKER_02]: I have to start packing for Australia now with all of our banners and flags and giveaways and all of that kind of stuff.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_02]: I got to get that set up and then I've got two more shows today.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_02]: So like it is a full day for the four matters first podcast, which is a beautiful thing.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not over here complaining or at least I hope that's not what is coming across because I'm very thankful to be doing what I am doing.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they give debo captain, do they?
- 44:47[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm thankful, debo is back.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: I was by far one of the few that was like, I don't want to bring it back.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm the bitter ex girlfriend, like, it's funny.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_02]: How do I say this?
- 45:08[SPEAKER_02]: All right, how do I not get too personal?
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: I love you guys, I hope this does hit wrong.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, here we go, the mind just clicked.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: We watched, my wife and I watched love is blind, right?
- 45:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like I like to trash TV, so like whenever I wanna play like a game on my phone or surf like Twitter and just like whatever, like it's a perfect do multiple things type show, right?
- 45:36[SPEAKER_02]: It shows the best and the worst of humanity.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_02]: I struggle with people like try to force their spouse to love them.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's like very clear, like they're not into this as much as you are.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, now I'm just associated from this, but this is how I've acted in my own life as well.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, I don't want to make somebody like me.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like I'm freaking John Chapman, I'm awesome.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_02]: And I wish more people had this attitude.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, somebody don't want to be with you.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_02]: Not like f them, but like I know my worth.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_02]: I deserve to be pursued and wanted.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: Therefore, you're not the person for me.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I wish people had this mindset more so.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: And so whatever that applies to sports and DPO, do DPO try to force himself off this team.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_02]: Not once, not twice.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: He successfully did it the third time.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_02]: And so I'm like, dude, you don't want to be here.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: How was that over in Washington?
- 46:29[SPEAKER_02]: Was it awesome?
- 46:30[SPEAKER_02]: Was it everything Brandon and I?
- 46:31[SPEAKER_02]: You never thought it would be in more.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, wait a second.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_02]: They didn't want you back.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_02]: Now you want to come back.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: Well, then the contract needs to reflect that in it did.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_02]: The Debo contract was unbelievable.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_02]: I kept saying like, dude, if it's under six million, then all right, cool, I'm down with it.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_02]: And it was.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: Now if he performs, it was a four million dollar deal.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_02]: But if he goes out and plays like Debo can, then it goes up to seven million, that's a win, win, win.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: Is that a captive for me?
- 46:55[SPEAKER_02]: It is not.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I do believe, Drake Greenlaw does deserve the Captain Patch.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_02]: That is different.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_02]: It out of somebody's like, wait a second.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't Greenlaw leave last year too?
- 47:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, he did.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_02]: Greenlaw was never a Captain whenever he was here.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_02]: green law did not seat greener pastures.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_02]: And if you go back through the whole thing, green law's dad's talked about this, the Niners did not make an initial offer to Drake Green law.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos came in made a huge offer.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_02]: and Greenlaw was like, man, neither didn't even offer me anything.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: All right, I mean, gives his word to them and then the Niners get involved.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, man, I already said we were gonna do this like, and so he was reluctant and all those things but he came back as soon as he could.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like, Drake Greenlaw's the epitome of a team captain to me.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_02]: And so like, yeah, I know that there are flaws in my logic.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_02]: But, uh, dude, if I was in there voting, like you get a vote, like, Kyle Shadeh had passes out ballots.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_02]: This is what Kyle Shadeh has says.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty sure he manipulates the votes to get what he wants across.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_02]: They do secret ballots and everybody write down five players.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_02]: You want to be a captain.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_02]: My ballot would read.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: Drey Greenlaw, Drey Greenlaw, Drey Greenlaw, Drey Greenlaw, Drey Greenlaw.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_02]: That's what my ballot would say.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_02]: do deserve to be a captain.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_02]: I hope that Drake Greenlaw is here for the remainder of his career never puts on another uniform again.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_02]: He is a one-year deal.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously he's going to have to stay healthy.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_02]: I also thought it was interesting during Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch's press conference that they said, Drake Greenlaw will not be practicing three consecutive days all year long.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_02]: Neither will Mike Evans.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_02]: So, Drake Greenlaw is now getting the Christian McAfrey.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_02]: you know, respect.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that he deserves that.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: And so, so I like that.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like, and again, you know, I don't know, I don't know who the captains are gonna be.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's the tough to say.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_02]: I saw the Rams put out 11 captains.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_02]: You're only supposed to have seven per game per NFL standard.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_02]: So I guess they're gonna rotate that.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, high schools do the same thing.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I don't know, Eddie.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you usually like to have a special teams guy,
- 49:15[SPEAKER_02]: embodies everything that there is about being, you know, uh, just to say, oh, it was Patrick Peterson.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_02]: Was it wasn't Patrick Peterson?
- 49:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think it might have been.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, yeah, right here, shady, so you downtown pit was incredible.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_02]: We had such a fun time, man.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_02]: That was awesome.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going up to these comments and I have not, yeah, Leon.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_02]: What's up, man?
- 49:43[SPEAKER_02]: I was fully out on Debo, but this price is right.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: Great deal.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you've got a great deal with Christian Kirk.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: You've got a great deal with Mike Evans.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: You've got a great deal with Drake Greenlaw.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_02]: for the people that are like, man, every offseason, somebody says something stupid, like, oh, dude, for agents don't want to come here because it's expensive or because of the substation or because Kyle Shanahan, and I'm just like, have you watched free agency at all throughout the years?
- 50:11[SPEAKER_02]: You got Matt Jones on a two year five million dollar deal.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: That's bananas and you're still reaping the benefits of that to you like Mike Evans literally chose this place over playing with Josh Allen they offered a more money
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: Like, obviously, I'm not saying you're saying this, Leon, but I know somebody's gonna be like, yeah, you know, I don't know, free ages when you wanna come here because blah, blah, blah, and I'm like, two, you are insane.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_02]: You look across the NFL and you see those teams that are out there and stuff like, why would you not wanna come here?
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: They have a down year and they go 12 and 5 and win a road playoff game?
- 50:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's a down year.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_02]: That's a down year and average year for the 49ers is the NFC championship.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's average.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_02]: Now they've exceeded that made it to the Super Bowl twice.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_02]: Have not won the Super Bowl.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_02]: That is a very legitimate critique.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: But man, like, yeah, the deals that this free agency has brought about and we've seen it.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_02]: Right here, Dave, if you ever took over the Viking stadium, yes, twice, back to back years.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_02]: That is my favorite stadium in the NFL.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_02]: That is my favorite stadium in the NFL, and it's not close.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's a clear number one for me.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_02]: The Viking stadium, I think it's called Bank of America.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: I hate how it just goes by all the corporations, but yeah, that Viking stadium.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_02]: If you can go to one game, and I say to everybody, if you pick one stadium to go there, I've been to 26.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_02]: That is number one for me, and it's not close.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_02]: All right, here Kim Bro says, these are his captains.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to argue with it.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_02]: Warner, Kittle, Brock, Trent, Bosa, Christian McAfrey Evans.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_02]: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, that's awesome.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's pretty damn good group.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have any P.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_02]: Diomodoro Linore was a captain last year.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_02]: I would not make him a captain again.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_02]: He is not shown captain tendencies.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_02]: Drake Greenlaw definitely could be in there.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_02]: Osa kind of what also did he zoo.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not the biggest boss as a captain.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_02]: guy but do he stayed around Santa Clara and he's been around the facility and he's been coaching up players like I think you know his play definitely deserves that but man it's hard to argue against any of these.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_02]: It really really is.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_02]: Fred Warner is the ultimate captain.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_02]: He's number one Brock Pertiz your quarterback has to be a captain.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_02]: Man.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_02]: Whew, how is, yeah, oh my gosh, the story is about to freaking jump off the top row.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_02]: Call a use check, that dude's a captain.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_02]: He's a definition captain.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_02]: I hope they do 11.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_02]: I really, really do, like, just Adam, US Bank Stadium there, it is.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much for that.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, juice is huge, man.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: They're like, this team has so much veteran leadership.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's, it's crazy.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: Right here, Bank of America is Carolina Stadium, which we've done there too.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_02]: I really like that stadium.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's not a nice stadium, but it's like the view is one of my favorite views.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of like, depending on where you sit because it's right downtown Charlotte.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_02]: Stadium is not nice.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_02]: The walk to the stadium like where we did our tailgate and there's like this cool little nature walk to get to the stadium.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like I really enjoyed that.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: Stadium is not nice.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_02]: The setting of the stadium is awesome.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: This is important to me, like the atmosphere around a stadium is huge.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_02]: Are you nestled in the city?
- 54:01[SPEAKER_02]: Is there cool stuff to do?
- 54:03[SPEAKER_02]: Does it have some type of like nature?
- 54:05[SPEAKER_02]: Something that close to the water, like soldier filled, which is so cool right there.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_02]: Like Michigan, or even you can talk about Cleveland, you know, right next to Lake Erie.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_02]: Is it like Erie?
- 54:16[SPEAKER_02]: I think it is, but like that's cool.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_02]: So Carolina Stadium is not nice, but the location and atmosphere around it is pretty cool.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_02]: The worst location in the NFL is the 49ers Levi Stadium is one of the like I hate Levi's.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_02]: I really do.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_02]: I love the 49ers fans.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_02]: I love going there.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_02]: I love that.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_02]: The beer options are the worst.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_02]: It is the most expensive and there's nothing to do around it.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_02]: There's no atmosphere.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_02]: There is it.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_02]: They just completely missed absolute swing in a miss and then you could have had like one of the best things every could just rebuild on candlestick.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_02]: The traffic's worse at Levi's said it is.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's candlestick, especially if you're in the blue lot.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, anyway, Levi's no the only stadium I put worse than Levi said I've been to overall experience is met life.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_02]: Met life's dead last for me Levi's second to to last like I would prefer Bank of America going there than to Levi's Anyway, I don't think anybody has that
- 55:21[SPEAKER_02]: I've just out here given by opinions, but if you want to join us this year, man, we are going to Mexico City.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to Australia.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to be in Atlanta.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to be in Dallas.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to be in Los Angeles for the charger games.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to be in Seattle.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_02]: And we're doing the season opener.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_02]: We have spots open right now for the home opener game against the dolphins 49ers rush road trip dot com.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_02]: 49ers rush road trip is going into it's sixth year with over 40 events at road games if you are traveling to see the 49ers play this year you got to come party with us and on top of that we give games trivia giveaways we partnered with tick pick this year all you have to do is search 49ers rush on any of the tick pick sights apps you name it and on top of all of that.

- 56:23[SPEAKER_02]: Vorrow Bowman, Frank Gore, Patrick Willis, Fred Warner, are all players that we have worked with in the past and trust me.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to build the 49ers community, you're traveling by yourself, we got you covered 49ers Rushroadtrip.com.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think that this is a wonderful point from Kimbro, you know, if you've been in the 49ers locker room, they have the decade wall, 49ers players throughout the history of the team that have played for the team for 10 years or more.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_02]: That is a big deal.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, in the offseason, we do this offseason, we didn't do it and I apologize.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_02]: The move and help in the kid out and all that stuff.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_02]: But we usually do like best of series where we do who's the best player to ever wear jersey number 43 and we detail just try to increase our knowledge of the past of the 49ers.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_02]: Dec 849ers is like plus five.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like in the fact that George Kittle and Kyle
- 57:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I completely agree with you, Kimbro.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_02]: And so on the captain discussion now, how much are 49ers players who are the only ones that vote on this?
- 57:42[SPEAKER_02]: How much does that factor into it?
- 57:45[SPEAKER_02]: You know, do you vote for the lead of your position group?
- 57:47[SPEAKER_02]: Or like, I don't know, like that is difficult.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_02]: But I do agree with this sentiment.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_02]: George Kittle and Kyle used to have to be on there and they have been captains in the past.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, juices the bay threw him through.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_02]: He's the fan on the field like he's just awesome.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, he's Like there's certain people that just nobody's ever said anything bad about Kyle use checks one of those like How could anybody have a negative thing to say about maybe you don't like his play on the field or whatever, but like the person that he is There's no way there there's no way like the dude is just awesome took a pay cut to stay here
- 58:29[SPEAKER_02]: Just bleeds, red and gold.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_02]: Just bleeds, red and gold.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_02]: Made the Pro Bowl every year.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_02]: I know there's not a lot of fullbacks in the league.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_02]: Thankfully, we don't have to make these decisions.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_02]: Thankfully, we do not have to make these decisions.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_02]: Dale, right here, Candlestick, was historic.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_02]: And these people tore it down.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, they did.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it was awesome.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_02]: Right here from the 10XU, I think a legit stadium is worse in terms of no tailgate, commuting to event.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to get there like they, you got to go through, you know, MG and not MGM.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's, uh, man, what's the name of the freaking I see the casino, they have the awesome sports book.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_02]: And so that's kind of cool.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_02]: Because you get a hanging out in the sports book and watch all the games and there's the bar there and you're not sweating your rear end off because it's so hot all the time.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_02]: And then you walk through the tunnel and over the bridge.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's kind of cool.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I love that stadium, right?
- 59:21[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, it's it's not traditional, but I do love a Legion stadium.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I think the NFL does the bears wherever they build their stadium, which I hate that they're moving it.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's basically a legion stadium, just copy and paste it.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of the stadiums are going to follow that mode.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_02]: The basically just copy and paste that dome and whatever the run, the rumble and put that there.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_02]: But man, do I low stadium talk?
- 59:48[SPEAKER_02]: You guys are, you can't be talking uniforms or stadiums.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Mandela Bay, thank you.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, now, now, at least it's pretty damn hard to go to the bathroom.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like, they need to expand the corridors.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's got some problems, but that's OK. Yeah, I know fan base, you don't see any Raiders fans.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_02]: And the Raiders fans, you do meet and Vegas all drove in from somewhere else.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's, it's what it is.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_02]: The tin says, you know, I just want a good tailgate barbecue dude, our best tailgate this year is going to be Dallas.
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_02]: Atlanta is going to be our second, like as far as budget that we are implementing for food, drinks and whatever else.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_02]: Dallas and Atlanta are going to be huge, so like if you haven't made your plans yet, those are the two cities I would recommend by far the most that are going to be your traditional parking lot.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we're on private property and we're doing our own thing.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody could stop us can't stop us.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_02]: But as far as our events, if you could pick one or two tailgates this year to go to Dallas would be number one in Lano would be number two, just throwing that out there.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_02]: And Gabriel right here, I put up the question about uniforms.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_02]: John, what are your thoughts on the latest rivalry units?
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_02]: I love them.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_02]: I love them.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_02]: I like I am not.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a pierist in the sense that the Niners need to stick it, but like I'm a pierist and like okay the 94 throwbacks are the peer like that's what the Niners should have the solid white numbers and the you know the solid red jerseys with the white numbers or vice versa.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_02]: I like them very very much.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_02]: I would prefer the 94's with the you know shadow drop letter to be our normal ones and then the rivalry ones you know two three times a year.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_02]: I like them.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_02]: I really, really do.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_02]: And the fans like them.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_02]: You see them at the games all the time and they look so clean, I like gold.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_02]: And so like, I think my problem like red and gold, like whenever I think about the 49ers, like gold is what separates us.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody else has that.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_02]: Because there's so many teams that are just like stupid ass names, like the Tennessee Titans, what the, what is Titan about Tennessee, maybe I'm missing something I don't know like I think the Miami dolphins is cool right there's there and like there's there's cool things there's cool names brands, but the 49ers have something that is historically significant with the gold rush and matches the colors it's completely unique like I'm just like, yeah, hell yeah, so you throw gold in there.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_01]: Oh.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm in, man, I am totally in, so do with that what you want.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, y'all, what's up, man?
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no, yeah, area, I did that last time.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, area, Kittle and both the expected to play week one per John, 100% 100%.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_02]: You don't get on that damn plane, if you ain't playing.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way, there's no way.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_02]: You do not get on that plane if you are not playing.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_02]: You just don't do it.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_02]: Don't do it.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_02]: Don't do it.
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_02]: They're playing that now that it could be a setback.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_02]: But me and right here Thomas yeah, I want the 49ers to do the dark red 1998 Jersey's just dude.
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_02]: I love those like I don't like the dark red.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_02]: I like everything else about it But you know, we do these giveaways and every single one of our events where we put like a handful of jerseys up for raffle.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_02]: So everybody comes in
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_02]: gets like raffle tickets and we just give away these autographed jerseys, right?
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_02]: But like we stack them next to each other and like you pick a box that you want to try to go for.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_02]: And so like it's cool because we'll have the 1994, you know.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_02]: Jersey will have the 98 dark red next to it and you just see the differences and those numbers were freaking huge.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_02]: I struggle getting those jerseys in there like protective cases because those jerseys stitched on 98 think Garrison Hurst, Torello and Jeff Garcia.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_02]: Those numbers are so freaking ginormous.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_02]: They took up the whole day of Jersey.
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like the numbers on today's
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_02]: solid red with just white letters, not the 1994's.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_02]: The numbers are tiny and it's just like clean and appropriate, which is cool, but it's like when we have those jerseys stack next to each other, the 98's hold their own.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I do wish they would go back to that at one point because it's just an nostalgia, you know, shoot, I'm 43 years old, right, and so I was born in 1982.
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of my.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_02]: You know, upbringing, middle school, you know, stuff like that was during that time period.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_02]: I would like them to bring that back.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_02]: I really, really would.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_02]: Leon, the Titans new uniforms are sick.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but they're in a bombination.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_02]: If that ownership for leaving Houston, if that ownership for taking the oilers and those colors, I understand the owner owns the team that belongs to the people.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_02]: So yes, the new Titans uniforms are slick.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_02]: Every time I see on my pissed off because those belong to the people we Houston, like you took that ship from them and now you're going to flaunt their colors, the oilers, traditionals where some of the greatest uniforms and pro sports just think about Earl Campbell out there in the powder blues that helmet icon was sick as hell.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_02]: And so whenever I see the new tight uniforms, which I do agree, look great.
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_02]: I get pissed every time and just think about it.
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just like, man,
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_02]: if that owner group, if that owner group, they don't, they don't deserve those colors, they belong to it.
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_02]: And I hate Houston, border race doubts, I hate Houston, I hate all Houston sports, but I don't hate Houston people to the point that the ownership gets that.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, take that for what you will.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_02]: All look at this, flackers, my man.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_02]: Dase on love to have a thousand yard to see the season.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_02]: Love the recent episode, um, the faithful UK podcast.

- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_02]: I still remember the day I got to meet this gentleman in Vegas, right after he announced the pick.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was Samuel Womack if I'm not he announced the pick at the game or at the draft.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, Flackers, I see you I smile man, I really, really appreciate you.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_02]: You are the best.
