- 0:26Speaker 2: Heather MacDonald. Juicy Scoop. Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop.
- 0:33Speaker 4: So many juicy, hot topics, breaking news, and then a
- 0:36Speaker 4: fantastic interview I have for you all in one show.
- 0:40Speaker 2: You're so lucky. Let's get into it. Breaking news. Karen Reid.
- 0:46Speaker 4: We all were wondering who would play her. Well, according
- 0:49Speaker 4: to Deadline, it's Elizabeth Banks in a limited series in
- 0:54Speaker 4: which she's also an executive producer for will be playing
- 0:57Speaker 4: the story of Karen Reed and the trial and everything
- 1:01Speaker 4: that went on.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I think that's a great choice.
- 1:03Speaker 4: It's someone I had not thought of, but she jumped
- 1:06Speaker 4: on that, and I love that she's also an EP,
- 1:08Speaker 4: so good for her. Also, sad news, a story I
- 1:12Speaker 4: haven't really covered is the demise of the marriage and
- 1:17Speaker 4: what is going on with Kelly Wolfe. who is married
- 1:20Speaker 4: to Scott Wolf, the actor. They've been married for a
- 1:24Speaker 4: very long time. She became famous from being a reality
- 1:28Speaker 4: star on The Real World. They have three kids together,
- 1:32Speaker 4: and they have been separated for a while. She is
- 1:36Speaker 4: claiming abuse from him. He is denying it. And she
- 1:41Speaker 4: has taken to Instagram many times to share very disturbing
- 1:45Speaker 4: videos that does not bode well for her. Instagram videos
- 1:50Speaker 4: screaming at him where she'd be filming it, claiming things
- 1:56Speaker 4: where he's nowhere even near her. And he's trying to
- 1:59Speaker 4: protect his children. He has shared text messages or she's
- 2:03Speaker 4: shared a lot of sharing of text messages, including one
- 2:06Speaker 4: of their children who took to Instagram. who claims that
- 2:09Speaker 4: his mother is mentally ill. So unfortunately, according to TMZ,
- 2:13Speaker 4: Kelly Wolf has been jailed for harassment after a series
- 2:17Speaker 4: of alarming Instagram posts. She is in trouble with the law.
- 2:23Speaker 4: This is in Utah. And she has landed in jail
- 2:25Speaker 4: for two misdemeanors after posting a series of disturbing Instagram messages. Hopefully,
- 2:32Speaker 4: she will get the help that she needs. this is
- 2:35Speaker 4: a very hard thing to diagnose or wonder what in
- 2:38Speaker 4: fact is going on from afar. But having just seen
- 2:42Speaker 4: some of it and seeing what her family's going through,
- 2:46Speaker 4: I think very much she needs professional help.
- 2:50Speaker 2: So there's that.
- 2:53Speaker 3: They think you're done for the day, but they don't
- 2:55Speaker 3: know about the drawer. The drawer. Just the one square
- 3:01Speaker 3: before bed. Or two, you know.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Nobody's watching. You deserve a treat.
- 3:12Speaker 1: With eight flavours to choose from, you can choose the
- 3:14Speaker 1: flavour you favour with Cadbury Dairy Milk.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Okay, light, happier news. Taylor and Travis are engaged. She
- 3:29Speaker 4: shared it on her own personal Instagram. It went absolutely crazy.
- 3:34Speaker 4: He did it in front of a beautiful flower display
- 3:39Speaker 4: like Archer at his home. It was the two of
- 3:42Speaker 4: them in the photos. It's several photos in a carousel
- 3:47Speaker 4: of him down on one knee, her holding his face.
- 3:52Speaker 4: A photo of the beautiful ring. And then she wrote,
- 3:56Speaker 4: your English teacher and your gym teacher are engaged or
- 4:01Speaker 4: getting married. And everyone's so happy for them. I just
- 4:06Speaker 4: want to say, I predicted it. You're like, Heather, we
- 4:09Speaker 4: know they were going to get married. Of course they
- 4:11Speaker 4: were going to get married. I'm not saying that. I'm
- 4:13Speaker 4: saying the kind of engagement they had. Last week, when
- 4:16Speaker 4: I had Chris Frangiola on, we talked about when do
- 4:19Speaker 4: we think they'll get married and how will they get married?
- 4:23Speaker 4: We both played around the idea, would they do something public?
- 4:26Speaker 4: And we both said, no, we don't think they would.
- 4:29Speaker 4: And you're going to hear what I said right here.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Do you think it'll ever happen in a showy way?
- 4:36Speaker 3: No.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Like on stage or anything?
- 4:37Speaker 3: No.
- 4:38Speaker 2: It'll happen just like an average girl, like we did
- 4:41Speaker 2: a thing.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. He did a thing. He did good.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Let's hope she's not that person.
- 4:46Speaker 4: She's pretty.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Yeah, right. I don't think they're going to be doing
- 4:49Speaker 3: anything public.
- 4:50Speaker 5: I'm going to say this at the risk of sounding crazy,
- 4:53Speaker 5: but I think they're both too classy for that.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And I'm right. She basically did what every girl does.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Goes to their Instagram, does a carousel of photos, and
- 5:04Speaker 4: then writes something like, he did a thing, which basically
- 5:07Speaker 4: she did. She probably thought, this is what I'm going
- 5:10Speaker 4: to do as my caption. a year and a half
- 5:13Speaker 4: ago when people, she probably saw some comment where someone said,
- 5:17Speaker 4: this reminds me of an English teacher and a gym
- 5:19Speaker 4: teacher falling in love at the school and everyone being
- 5:22Speaker 4: happy about it because they are both so wholesome, so likable.
- 5:27Speaker 4: And they really showed their attraction for each other and
- 5:30Speaker 4: their chemistry when she went on his podcast. Do I
- 5:34Speaker 4: think It's coincidental that when she finally agreed to go
- 5:38Speaker 4: on his podcast, she finally got that big damn ring.
- 5:41Speaker 6: No, I don't.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 5:42Speaker 4: I'm just saying she finally went on it. And then
- 5:46Speaker 4: he got down on one knee. There is a little
- 5:48Speaker 4: bit of talk where they engaged a couple weeks ago.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Is this old?
- 5:53Speaker 4: And then she went on the podcast. Like she said,
- 5:55Speaker 4: give me the ring and then I'll go on the podcast.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 5:59Speaker 4: But the podcast has broken a Guinness Book World Record
- 6:03Speaker 4: for the highest amount of downloads in the shortest period
- 6:06Speaker 4: of time of any podcast episode in the universe since
- 6:10Speaker 4: creation of podcasting, which is 21 million as of yesterday.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Good for them. Happy for them.
- 6:19Speaker 4: And, um, now we'll have to predict about the wedding,
- 6:22Speaker 4: which let me just work on and save that for
- 6:24Speaker 4: next week.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Our, our girl little Nas is okay. And I say
- 6:29Speaker 4: that with love because that is the update. He did
- 6:32Speaker 4: a little story and he said, uh, don't worry. Your
- 6:35Speaker 4: girl's going to be okay. So, um, Maybe he'll partner
- 6:41Speaker 4: up with the short white shoe boot company and make
- 6:46Speaker 4: them all the rage because they're adorable. And so was
- 6:49Speaker 4: his tighty whities. And I hope he's doing okay. And
- 6:51Speaker 4: it was just a crazy night.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Okay.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Now I have to tell you, I think I have
- 6:57Speaker 4: finally made it. I finally made it in Hollywood. It's
- 6:59Speaker 4: taken so fucking long because a AI company, I'm not
- 7:06Speaker 4: exactly sure what this company is. It's about children's toys.
- 7:09Speaker 4: has stolen my voice without my permission. I have not
- 7:13Speaker 4: gotten any money. And it is, they're using my voice
- 7:18Speaker 4: in an actual podcast. It starts out like a podcast
- 7:22Speaker 4: interview with, but they put my voice to a woman
- 7:26Speaker 4: that just looks a lot smarter than I am. And
- 7:29Speaker 4: I'm going to show the photo of the woman here.
- 7:31Speaker 2: I don't know if she's a real woman or if
- 7:33Speaker 2: she's an AI woman.
- 7:35Speaker 4: But several juicy scoopers sent it to me, and I
- 7:39Speaker 4: do appreciate that. And I'm going to play it for
- 7:43Speaker 4: you right now.
- 7:45Speaker 3: What's your million-dollar secret for women over 40?
- 7:47Speaker 4: Everyone should stop using chat, GPT, and Canva like children's toys.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Here is how to use them right.
- 7:52Speaker 3: So this is how I became the most dangerous person
- 7:56Speaker 3: in the room.
- 7:58Speaker 2: There you go. There you go. What do I do
- 8:01Speaker 2: about this? I don't know. I don't know, people. That's
- 8:04Speaker 2: this world we live in. But just thank you. Exciting stuff.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Blake and Justin Baldoni, the judge has unsealed the text exchange,
- 8:16Speaker 4: and it bodes well, in my opinion, for Blake's case
- 8:20Speaker 4: in saying that she believes that Justin Baldoni and his
- 8:24Speaker 4: team and his PR people and the people that he
- 8:26Speaker 4: hired that have these social media... companies were in fact
- 8:32Speaker 4: building a smear campaign because the text exchange, they could
- 8:37Speaker 4: be argued both ways. If you believe that a smear
- 8:40Speaker 4: campaign was really being built to turn the public against
- 8:45Speaker 4: Blake Lively, then these I do feel are slightly compelling.
- 8:51Speaker 4: It shows that people on his team that is on
- 8:55Speaker 4: group chats with him are, this guy is like excited
- 9:00Speaker 4: that there are negative articles being written. And then he
- 9:03Speaker 4: claims to also be forwarding those negative articles about Blake
- 9:08Speaker 4: to other news sources so that they then can regurgitate
- 9:12Speaker 4: it and tell it and spread it. So it's kind
- 9:16Speaker 4: of a hard thing to say because a lot, I
- 9:19Speaker 4: can see why people would do that. If all of
- 9:22Speaker 4: a sudden I was in this And I saw that
- 9:25Speaker 4: somebody wrote a great article about me and defending me
- 9:28Speaker 4: while I was in like a social media battle. Maybe
- 9:31Speaker 4: I'd want to go share that to some people and
- 9:33Speaker 4: be like, oh my God, look, they brought up a
- 9:35Speaker 4: great point. We see this happen with housewives all the time. They,
- 9:39Speaker 4: I mean, everything comes back to housewives. We now know
- 9:42Speaker 4: that all these housewives that Real Housewives of OC, not
- 9:46Speaker 4: all of them, but Katie, and we also know other
- 9:49Speaker 4: ones like Tamara in the past and They have all
- 9:52Speaker 4: shared articles about each other to each other so that
- 9:55Speaker 4: someone else brings it up and it spreads.
- 9:58Speaker 2: It becomes out there. It gets out there. The knowledge
- 10:01Speaker 2: gets greater.
- 10:02Speaker 4: They talk to bloggers and meme accounts and podcasters and says, hey,
- 10:06Speaker 4: just so you know, this article, this video, this is there.
- 10:10Speaker 4: You might want to share it because once you share it,
- 10:12Speaker 4: then 10 other people will share it. And then 20
- 10:14Speaker 4: TikTok people will go, oh my God. So according to this, blah, blah, blah.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Is that a smear campaign? This is all very gray
- 10:23Speaker 4: between of how to look at this, but that's the latest.
- 10:27Speaker 4: So we're, we are going to be able to have
- 10:30Speaker 4: access to those text messages. How does Blake Lively feel
- 10:34Speaker 4: that her former best friend Taylor Swift is engaged? She's
- 10:37Speaker 4: probably dying. It's probably very, very hard. Much like when
- 10:43Speaker 4: Jill Zarin found out that Bethany Franco was engaged to
- 10:46Speaker 4: Jason Hoppy, talk about a marriage that did not end well.
- 10:49Speaker 4: But in that show, looking back on Real Housewives of
- 10:51Speaker 4: New Jersey, sorry, New York, Jill was like, I can't
- 10:54Speaker 4: believe I'm not here with my best friend because we're
- 10:57Speaker 4: on this friendship break at the greatest time of her life.
- 11:01Speaker 4: And I've been in that situation too, where I've been
- 11:05Speaker 4: on a break with someone and then they have gotten
- 11:07Speaker 4: engaged and it's awkward and I have reached out and
- 11:09Speaker 4: immediately said, I'm happy for you. But You know, they
- 11:13Speaker 4: were very close. She was the godmother to one of
- 11:16Speaker 4: Blake's children. But then Blake threw her into this whole
- 11:21Speaker 4: thing and she doesn't want to be deposed. Will there
- 11:24Speaker 4: be any songs about Blake Lively in a former friendship?
- 11:27Speaker 4: Or is she just going to rise above it like
- 11:29Speaker 4: she always has and act like who?
- 11:32Speaker 2: Blake Lively? I don't know her. I don't know.
- 11:37Speaker 4: There has been a juicy article written by In The
- 11:40Speaker 4: Sun about Jax Taylor. And in the reunion of the Valley,
- 11:47Speaker 4: it was revealed by Danny that he believes allegedly that
- 11:53Speaker 4: Jax was having sexual relationships with more than one person
- 11:59Speaker 4: that worked at his bar, Jax. Well, the son interviewed
- 12:05Speaker 4: some people. I don't know if they said their names.
- 12:08Speaker 4: but some of these girls that said, yes, I dated him.
- 12:11Speaker 2: He love bombed me.
- 12:12Speaker 4: He made me feel like I was the only one
- 12:14Speaker 4: and he didn't want to use protection, but he always
- 12:19Speaker 4: offered to go get plan B. I mean, now is
- 12:23Speaker 4: this girl telling the truth? I don't know, but it's
- 12:26Speaker 4: from the sun. It's not great. Allegedly, this is what
- 12:30Speaker 4: was said and done. And it really makes me think
- 12:33Speaker 4: that's really what's behind his partner and and he breaking
- 12:38Speaker 4: ties with each other. We wondered why is he leaving
- 12:43Speaker 4: Jack's the restaurant? Did the contract expire? Was he really
- 12:48Speaker 4: just wanting to stay away from an establishment that serves
- 12:51Speaker 4: alcohol as his place of business? Was he looking to
- 12:55Speaker 4: show no income so that he would be eligible for
- 12:59Speaker 4: getting spousal support from Brittany? Or is it because of
- 13:03Speaker 4: this sticky situation that he, you know... You're not supposed
- 13:06Speaker 4: to shit where you eat. Screw, that's basically what it means.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Don't screw the people you're working with. You're the superior.
- 13:15Speaker 4: And in this post-2025 world, it is not a good
- 13:19Speaker 4: idea to do that. And could any of these women
- 13:24Speaker 4: now have any kind of case to say, oh, if
- 13:27Speaker 4: I was told if I didn't sleep with Jax, I
- 13:29Speaker 4: wouldn't get the Saturday night shift and I make so
- 13:32Speaker 4: much money off of selling drugs grandma's cheese mama or
- 13:36Speaker 4: whatever that mama.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Cheese ball or whatever that dip was that Britney was selling.
- 13:41Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Or are these girls just spilling the beans and nobody
- 13:45Speaker 4: really cares? Anyway, also, allegedly he has been cut from BravoCon.
- 13:54Speaker 4: I don't know if that's true, but I wouldn't be
- 13:56Speaker 4: surprised if Yeah, I would have been shocked if he
- 14:01Speaker 4: had come. But things can change. It's just a few
- 14:03Speaker 4: months away, but I'll be there November 14th at the
- 14:06Speaker 4: MGM Grand doing my Juicy Scoop live.
- 14:10Speaker 2: The tickets are going fast.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Don't forget to get those at heathermcdoll.net because once they're gone,
- 14:15Speaker 4: they're gone.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Okay. Oh, my God.
- 14:18Speaker 4: Denise Richards says, Most horrible divorce ever. She's got her
- 14:22Speaker 4: lawyers involved and she is begging the judge to step
- 14:26Speaker 4: in and get Aaron and his family out of her
- 14:30Speaker 4: home that she owns so that she can go in,
- 14:33Speaker 4: get her belongings, get her pets and take. over the
- 14:39Speaker 4: home that is hers. His family was living there for years.
- 14:42Speaker 4: We saw her joke about it when they were happily together,
- 14:45Speaker 4: or at least they looked like they were when they
- 14:48Speaker 4: did their reality show. I don't know that that reality
- 14:50Speaker 4: show is getting a second season on E!, but Denise
- 14:54Speaker 4: Richards has gone to Instagram to express that she has
- 14:59Speaker 4: been very appreciative of all the support as she goes
- 15:01Speaker 4: through yet another horrific divorce. However, though, she seems to
- 15:06Speaker 4: be getting along with her first husband, Charlie Sheen, now,
- 15:10Speaker 4: and he's got a Netflix special coming out about his
- 15:14Speaker 4: crazy life. But all of us have been very frustrated,
- 15:18Speaker 4: and we feel that it's insane that he and his
- 15:23Speaker 4: family are living in her residence, and she does not
- 15:26Speaker 4: have access to it. So we hope that his parents,
- 15:31Speaker 4: though they are older— go on their way and she's
- 15:34Speaker 4: claiming that they have not been taking good care of
- 15:37Speaker 4: the home and she is responsible for it.
- 15:40Speaker 2: I want to take it back. I don't know that
- 15:41Speaker 2: she owns it or.
- 15:42Speaker 4: If she's just the name on the lease and she
- 15:45Speaker 4: needs them to get out so that she can get
- 15:48Speaker 4: it ready and return it back to the rightful owner
- 15:51Speaker 4: or in fact she owns it. But the point is
- 15:53Speaker 4: she's divorcing this guy and she doesn't have access to
- 15:56Speaker 4: this home in which her name is on the legal papers.
- 16:00Speaker 2: So Hopefully that'll work.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Jussie Smollett, I watched that special and it's a Netflix
- 16:09Speaker 4: special that I don't think anybody really needs to watch.
- 16:13Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I don't think it is. I mean, come
- 16:17Speaker 2: on with this.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Basically what it was is, you know, the story of
- 16:22Speaker 4: Jussie Smollett.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:24Speaker 2: He claims he went out at two.
- 16:26Speaker 4: In the morning in a polar vortex and In the
- 16:30Speaker 4: middle of winter in Chicago, because he was hungry and
- 16:33Speaker 4: he wanted a Subway sandwich, he was met by two
- 16:35Speaker 4: masked men screaming MAGA stuff who put a noose around
- 16:40Speaker 4: his neck. And he then wiped his wounds and went
- 16:44Speaker 4: home and called the police.
- 16:46Speaker 2: The police came.
- 16:46Speaker 4: He kept the noose on his neck and was still
- 16:49Speaker 4: holding the Subway sandwich when they came. And he told
- 16:51Speaker 4: his horrible tale of racism and homophobic crimes.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Horrible, horrible, horrible. The world all believed him. I was
- 17:02Speaker 2: on Wendy Williams talking about it, blah, blah, blah.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Now he eventually got convicted of a crime of setting
- 17:09Speaker 4: up a hoax because they found these two brothers that
- 17:12Speaker 4: were extras on Empire, the show he's working on. And
- 17:15Speaker 4: also one was his personal trainer. He also wrote him
- 17:18Speaker 4: a check for $ 3, 600. And according to them, he told
- 17:21Speaker 4: them to go do this. and do all these things
- 17:24Speaker 4: in which one of them said, I said, I'm not
- 17:27Speaker 4: putting the rope around your neck. You put it around yourself,
- 17:29Speaker 4: but I'll do whatever you tell me to do. Now
- 17:32Speaker 4: he's saying, no, I always told the truth, and this
- 17:35Speaker 4: is why. This is the truth. And it wasn't them.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I gave him a.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Check for $ 3, 600 because I wanted a steroid that was
- 17:46Speaker 4: illegal that he could get from his native country of
- 17:49Speaker 4: Nigeria to lose belly fat. So no, I never asked
- 17:54Speaker 4: them to do this. Then at the end, these two
- 17:57Speaker 4: women come in to save the day who said, this
- 18:00Speaker 4: is why we don't believe this. We think the Chicago
- 18:04Speaker 4: Police Department was so corrupt and has such a reputation
- 18:09Speaker 4: of racism that that they wanted to build up a
- 18:13Speaker 4: great reputation. They found these brothers, realized there was a
- 18:17Speaker 4: connection to Jussie Smollett and told them, you guys go
- 18:22Speaker 4: and say this story that he told you to do.
- 18:26Speaker 2: This and that you did this.
- 18:27Speaker 4: And then we'll close the case and we'll say there
- 18:30Speaker 4: were no two men that were white doing this. In fact,
- 18:34Speaker 4: it was these men and Jussie hired them. And the
- 18:38Speaker 4: evidence they have is that there's this old woman who
- 18:40Speaker 4: lived in his building, Jesse's building. And she said, that
- 18:43Speaker 4: night I did see a white man. I walked out
- 18:46Speaker 4: to do my dog's business. It was about 1245 at nine.
- 18:50Speaker 4: And I saw a man standing outside of our building
- 18:53Speaker 4: in which I share with Jesse. We're in the same
- 18:56Speaker 4: beautiful apartment building. And I saw him there and he
- 19:01Speaker 4: was white and he had a white rope sticking out
- 19:05Speaker 4: of his backpack.
- 19:07Speaker 2: So I saw him. So I'm like, is this the.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Same woman from the Amy Bradley? Where's Amy Bradley doc?
- 19:15Speaker 4: Where the woman said, oh, I saw her in the
- 19:17Speaker 4: bathroom like 15 years later.
- 19:18Speaker 6: No, no.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 19:21Speaker 4: The reason I'm going to say, so you're telling me
- 19:22Speaker 4: that this guy is like, I'm just going to wait
- 19:25Speaker 4: outside in the middle of a polar vortex, which according
- 19:29Speaker 4: to people that live out there, like you really can't
- 19:31Speaker 4: be outside for more than like a few minutes without dying.
- 19:34Speaker 4: I'm just going to wait outside and hope that Jussie Smollett,
- 19:37Speaker 4: who I hate because he's gay and black, is going
- 19:41Speaker 4: to come out and maybe be hungry for a sandwich.
- 19:44Speaker 4: And then my friend and I will meet him, beat
- 19:45Speaker 4: him up, and put this noose around his neck so
- 19:49Speaker 4: he knows.
- 19:50Speaker 2: That I am a racist asshole. So no, I don't
- 19:54Speaker 2: believe it.
- 19:54Speaker 4: But good for Jussie Smollett for getting some work with
- 19:58Speaker 4: this stupid Netflix doc. And he is also going to
- 20:00Speaker 4: be on Special Forces.
- 20:02Speaker 2: So good for him.
- 20:03Speaker 4: The Menendez brothers were denied parole, both of them. And
- 20:09Speaker 4: It is, I think it's Eric's.
- 20:12Speaker 2: I can't remember.
- 20:13Speaker 4: It's Eric or Lyle's. I think it's Eric's stepdaughter. He's
- 20:17Speaker 4: been married to his second wife for a very long time.
- 20:19Speaker 4: I think it's a second wife. Anyway, they both have
- 20:22Speaker 4: wives and multiple wives and cheated on the wives with
- 20:26Speaker 4: people coming to visit them. I can't keep track of
- 20:28Speaker 4: it all. But anyway, she's an adult and she's very,
- 20:31Speaker 4: very angry. She finds it completely unfair. And I, it's
- 20:35Speaker 4: my understanding. This is it. I, I, until the next parole,
- 20:39Speaker 4: but it's, it's not happening. And they were hoping that,
- 20:42Speaker 4: that they would get out, but it doesn't look like it.
- 20:45Speaker 4: And people are like, but they did such a great job.
- 20:46Speaker 4: They've been in jail. They've been teaching people and they've
- 20:49Speaker 4: had a perfect record and there's been no violence.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yeah. They're not violent. They're not violent.
- 20:54Speaker 4: They weren't violent before they took shotguns to their parents' heads. Um,
- 20:59Speaker 4: and they haven't been violent after because they're doing, you know,
- 21:04Speaker 4: Time in prison. Just because someone isn't getting in fights
- 21:06Speaker 4: with other inmates doesn't mean that they don't deserve to
- 21:09Speaker 4: spend the rest of their life in prison.
- 21:11Speaker 2: That would be the argument. The other argument is they.
- 21:16Speaker 4: Won't hurt anybody when they come out and they were
- 21:19Speaker 4: horrible victims of child abuse and sexual abuse and therefore
- 21:24Speaker 4: they had to do this violent crime and then go
- 21:27Speaker 4: to Cheesecake Factory after and buy Rolexes and shop and
- 21:30Speaker 4: lie about it.
- 21:31Speaker 2: But whatever.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Those are two arguments. come out and yell at me
- 21:35Speaker 4: in the comments. Also, and just like that, there's talk
- 21:38Speaker 4: that it might go to another network, that they have
- 21:42Speaker 4: the right to do that, that they could go to
- 21:44Speaker 4: another network since Atrium Max canceled it.
- 21:47Speaker 2: And let's see where it goes.
- 21:48Speaker 4: So now I'm going to talk about the real housewives
- 21:52Speaker 4: of Miami because I have the latest, newest star of it, Stephanie.
- 21:58Speaker 4: She has her own plane. And If you are not
- 22:02Speaker 4: watching Real Housewives of Miami, like all of my interviews,
- 22:05Speaker 4: I guarantee you will find this very interesting.
- 22:09Speaker 2: She is a.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Very unique character on these shows, and she talks about
- 22:15Speaker 4: why she has chosen a life, a child-free life by choice,
- 22:20Speaker 4: how she came to that, how she met her husband.
- 22:22Speaker 4: She clears up rumors. She explains the dynamic between she
- 22:26Speaker 4: and the other women. And you will not be lost
- 22:29Speaker 4: if you're not listening or watching the show. It's just
- 22:31Speaker 4: a really interesting interview about a woman who's with a
- 22:35Speaker 4: much older man that she's married to and how that
- 22:39Speaker 4: came about. And I found her really fascinating and funny
- 22:45Speaker 4: and interesting. So here's my interview with Stephanie from The
- 22:48Speaker 4: Real Housewives of Miami.
- 22:51Speaker 6: Planning on rewarding your staff this year struggling to choose
- 22:54Speaker 6: between a shop gift card or a pay anywhere card

- 23:13Speaker 6: fees chipping away at the balance make your rewards more
- 23:16Speaker 6: rewarding visit optionscard.ie today.
- 23:21Speaker 5: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 23:24Speaker 5: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 23:27Speaker 5: have faced tremendous setbacks and yet somehow have found a
- 23:31Speaker 5: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 23:37Speaker 2: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 23:40Speaker 2: filed against me.
- 23:41Speaker 3: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 23:43Speaker 3: what would you do if it was given back?
- 23:45Speaker 5: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 23:48Speaker 5: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 23:51Speaker 3: He said, I have a work dad. I need a
- 23:52Speaker 3: home dad. What happens next?
- 23:54Speaker 4: When I came in, he started crying.
- 23:56Speaker 5: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 24:00Speaker 5: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 24:03Speaker 5: happens next.
- 24:04Speaker 3: I decided to risk it all. I realized how valuable
- 24:06Speaker 3: every day was.
- 24:07Speaker 2: You're worth the work.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches. You can
- 24:11Speaker 3: use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 24:12Speaker 5: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 24:16Speaker 5: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 24:27Speaker 2: Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop.
- 24:29Speaker 4: I'm very excited to talk to the newest housewife that
- 24:32Speaker 4: has us all talking from Real Housewives of Miami. It
- 24:36Speaker 4: is Stephanie Shojai. And let's just get into it. First
- 24:41Speaker 4: of all, how are you enjoying being on a show,
- 24:45Speaker 4: watching it back?
- 24:47Speaker 2: You know, this is a big deal.
- 24:49Speaker 4: You're on a top rated show and suddenly I'm sure
- 24:52Speaker 4: people know who you are. How are you feeling about
- 24:55Speaker 4: being recognized and all that in your life now?
- 24:58Speaker 3: I mean, honestly, it sounds crazy to say, but I
- 25:02Speaker 3: already joined the show with a following. So in Miami,
- 25:05Speaker 3: I feel like I was already pretty known. I haven't
- 25:09Speaker 3: really felt the craze yet from the show or something
- 25:14Speaker 3: that I feel like is significant. But it's nice. I
- 25:17Speaker 3: feel like the recognition for the company has been really great. Yeah.
- 25:20Speaker 2: So let's kind of get into... Yes, I see you
- 25:22Speaker 2: already have almost 600,000 followers. You were a personality. I
- 25:24Speaker 2: heard that.
- 25:31Speaker 4: That you had been approached, you know, throughout the years
- 25:33Speaker 4: or people saying you should do it. So what made
- 25:36Speaker 4: you decide this was the time and you wanted to
- 25:38Speaker 4: go for it?
- 25:39Speaker 3: And you know, it's funny. I always said, I'm never
- 25:41Speaker 3: going to do it. I'm not going to do it.
- 25:42Speaker 3: I'm not going to be on housewives of Miami. But
- 25:44Speaker 3: then I shot a pilot, um, like two years ago. Um,
- 25:49Speaker 3: and I loved the act of having cameras in the office.
- 25:51Speaker 3: And I was like, okay, you know, I actually do
- 25:54Speaker 3: great on TV. Um, And unfortunately it didn't get picked
- 25:57Speaker 3: up when the pilot, uh, came back with notes. They
- 26:00Speaker 3: were like, we love Stephanie, but we need other cast
- 26:05Speaker 3: mates to like, you know, go, go click with her
- 26:08Speaker 3: and like be more on her vibe level. So we
- 26:11Speaker 3: shot it again with a new cast and unfortunately that
- 26:14Speaker 3: didn't get picked up. But the review again was Stephanie
- 26:17Speaker 3: has a very large personality and we want to make
- 26:19Speaker 3: sure we find cast mates that like match it. So, um,
- 26:23Speaker 3: I was like, okay, I'm clearly made it through the
- 26:27Speaker 3: second round of shooting pilots. I liked it. So it's
- 26:32Speaker 3: not going to get picked up because it's hard to
- 26:34Speaker 3: find other castmates that are great. If the opportunity comes
- 26:37Speaker 3: back and knocks, I might, you know, consider it. It
- 26:41Speaker 3: knocked again. And I was like, I think this is
- 26:43Speaker 3: the right time. You know, let me just try it.
- 26:46Speaker 3: I did it for really three main reasons. Reason number
- 26:48Speaker 3: one being like, you know, It looks fun to have
- 26:52Speaker 3: a bunch of girlfriends. I haven't been that type of girl.
- 26:54Speaker 3: I've never been this like social person and I've said
- 26:56Speaker 3: it on in the show and it's true. And I
- 26:59Speaker 3: feel like the people that knew me on socials and
- 27:01Speaker 3: they really know me in real life. I've never been
- 27:03Speaker 3: that type of girl to do girls night. You're never
- 27:05Speaker 3: going to see me out like hanging out at the
- 27:07Speaker 3: bar with my friends. It's just not me. So I
- 27:09Speaker 3: was like, this looks like it's really fun. Obviously, number two,
- 27:13Speaker 3: I thought it would be great to get more exposure
- 27:15Speaker 3: for our company, like a worldwide exposure. And then number three,
- 27:19Speaker 3: Larsa was like, no, because I'm good friends with Larsa.
- 27:22Speaker 3: She was like, being famous, it's going to be so
- 27:24Speaker 3: fun for you. and you should try it. I'm like, oh,
- 27:27Speaker 3: being famous kind of looks like it would be fun.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Let's try it. And that's really why I ended up
- 27:33Speaker 3: being like, I'm going to do it. Yeah.
- 27:34Speaker 4: I think in your case, I think it's all been
- 27:37Speaker 4: very positive because it is interesting to see someone that
- 27:42Speaker 4: comes in and you're like, oh, here's this younger woman
- 27:46Speaker 4: with the Birkins and.
- 27:47Speaker 2: The PJ and everything.
- 27:48Speaker 4: But I don't think I've ever really seen that many
- 27:52Speaker 4: housewives that actually work and have multiple meetings and have
- 27:56Speaker 4: to perform and.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Get stuff done.
- 28:00Speaker 4: And like in the last episode, when we see your husband,
- 28:03Speaker 4: he calls you cause he's like, there's stuff happening. Like
- 28:06Speaker 4: this is hard that you're doing this other job, which is,
- 28:10Speaker 4: you know, but they don't want to say that. So
- 28:11Speaker 4: it's like, you're doing this other thing with your friends.
- 28:14Speaker 4: But I mean, essentially you're going to come home to like,
- 28:18Speaker 4: I assume a shit ton of emails, right?
- 28:20Speaker 3: Oh my God, Heather, it was so crazy because I
- 28:23Speaker 3: was so naive and I pride myself in like being
- 28:25Speaker 3: so smart and so not naive. And I was naive
- 28:28Speaker 3: to think that like, oh, this looks easy. Like just go,
- 28:32Speaker 3: just keep me on camera for a little bit. I.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Cannot express to you how torture it was torturous. It
- 28:39Speaker 3: was for me to manage my duties at Shoma while
- 28:43Speaker 3: doing the housewives. I would, you obviously don't get to
- 28:46Speaker 3: see this and the viewers don't get to see this,
- 28:48Speaker 3: but like after we were done filming, I would pick
- 28:50Speaker 3: up the computer work for endless like hours and then
- 28:52Speaker 3: like have to get up and do it again. In particular,
- 28:54Speaker 3: the cast trip, which was brutal, uh, Um, for me, um,
- 28:59Speaker 3: that's why my husband was like, you need to come back.
- 29:00Speaker 3: But I think a lot of people don't realize how
- 29:03Speaker 3: hard I work. They don't realize that I actually come
- 29:05Speaker 3: to the office on Saturdays and I sometimes come on
- 29:08Speaker 3: Sundays and I'm here till late at night. I come
- 29:11Speaker 3: early in the morning, but then again, I've always been
- 29:12Speaker 3: like this since I was little, I'm addicted to being productive.
- 29:17Speaker 3: I just don't feel well if I'm sitting at home
- 29:19Speaker 3: doing nothing. So I work really hard. I thought I
- 29:23Speaker 3: could manage both. I did it, obviously, but it was
- 29:25Speaker 3: definitely harder than I anticipated.
- 29:27Speaker 4: So let's go back a little bit to find a
- 29:29Speaker 4: little bit more about you, because I feel like definitely
- 29:31Speaker 4: as a viewer of the show, we don't know very
- 29:34Speaker 4: much about what got you to being married and in
- 29:38Speaker 4: this position that then led to Housewives Calling and having
- 29:42Speaker 4: a big social media following prior.
- 29:44Speaker 2: So I love that you talked a.
- 29:49Speaker 4: That your mom was like, yeah, you might have a stash,
- 29:51Speaker 4: but you have to wait till you're 16. And while
- 29:54Speaker 4: you're at it, let's get your nose done. And I
- 29:56Speaker 4: do love, like, I do think that's really interesting when
- 29:59Speaker 4: someone has a glow up and how that kind.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Of affects their whole personality.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Because growing up, you were not the one, you know,
- 30:09Speaker 4: that is seen as, you know, the most popular, most beautiful,
- 30:12Speaker 4: whatever person. And then you find yourself in kind of
- 30:15Speaker 4: this new body and confidence. Can you speak on that
- 30:18Speaker 4: a little bit?
- 30:18Speaker 3: Of course. So no, I definitely was like at one point,
- 30:22Speaker 3: my mom was, is beautiful. But when she was younger,
- 30:25Speaker 3: everybody was like, she's going to have the most beautiful baby.
- 30:28Speaker 3: And so when I was born, everyone's like, oh my God,
- 30:29Speaker 3: so excited to meet Stephanie. And they were like, dude,
- 30:32Speaker 3: what happened? It's like an ongoing joke in the family.
- 30:34Speaker 3: They were like, uh, she, she had to put Heather,
- 30:37Speaker 3: she had to put bows on me all the time
- 30:39Speaker 3: because people thought I was a boy. So, I mean,
- 30:41Speaker 3: I really wasn't like this, like beautiful child that they
- 30:43Speaker 3: expected my mom, which has blonde hair and light eyes,
- 30:47Speaker 3: you know, she just like naturally blonde hair. But, um,
- 30:51Speaker 3: I didn't, you know, I went to school. I didn't
- 30:53Speaker 3: speak Spanish. I definitely wasn't the pretty popular girl. I
- 30:55Speaker 3: didn't speak much English. Like my house, when you came over,
- 30:58Speaker 3: smelled like Spanish food. Like it wasn't like, I was
- 31:01Speaker 3: like the cool girl, like you said. Um, And then
- 31:04Speaker 3: when my mom was like, you can shave at 16,
- 31:05Speaker 3: I was like, and she's like, let's get a nose job.
- 31:08Speaker 3: And we went to the doctor and I was so young.
- 31:12Speaker 3: The guy's like, we're going to do this. And we're
- 31:13Speaker 3: going to, he's like drawing it for me at 16.
- 31:15Speaker 3: I don't think I even had my driver's license at
- 31:17Speaker 3: the point at the time. I ended up getting it.
- 31:20Speaker 3: And then I looked in the mirror. I was like,
- 31:21Speaker 3: oh my God, it gave me such self-confidence. And I
- 31:24Speaker 3: actually got a lot of backlash about saying that my
- 31:27Speaker 3: mom told me that because people are like, oh, moms
- 31:30Speaker 3: can be so cruel. I don't look at it like
- 31:32Speaker 3: my mom was cruel. I look at it like she
- 31:34Speaker 3: is a realist and she knew this is going to
- 31:37Speaker 3: prevent her from feeling her best, being confident. And with time,
- 31:42Speaker 3: she's either going to do it now or she's going
- 31:44Speaker 3: to do it when she gets older. Let's just do
- 31:45Speaker 3: it now so she feels her best. And then obviously
- 31:49Speaker 3: that spiraled. And when I got older, I went into
- 31:52Speaker 3: Botox and fillers and Listen, I'm very pro do whatever
- 31:56Speaker 3: you can to make yourself feel prettier and give yourself
- 31:59Speaker 3: more self-confidence. So I don't shy away from any of
- 32:03Speaker 3: that stuff.
- 32:03Speaker 4: I think sometimes people are not honest enough about how
- 32:08Speaker 4: It's just a fact that appearance does make a difference,
- 32:11Speaker 4: not only in your self-confidence, but in doing that, having
- 32:14Speaker 4: a life that then you feel like, yeah, I fit into.
- 32:18Speaker 2: I've had friends that.
- 32:21Speaker 4: Struggled with weight and then once they felt comfortable and
- 32:25Speaker 4: got to a place of a healthy weight that they
- 32:28Speaker 4: felt more, they did like dump that guy and get
- 32:34Speaker 4: to a level of a husband that they felt was like,
- 32:37Speaker 4: you know, better and more exciting. And they were more
- 32:38Speaker 4: exciting about like they were settling. And I feel like
- 32:41Speaker 4: that's such a taboo thing to say. Um, which I,
- 32:45Speaker 4: you know, and I, and I think a lot of
- 32:46Speaker 4: us do have moms that were like, you know, put
- 32:49Speaker 4: a little lipstick on, you'll feel better. Or you need to,
- 32:53Speaker 4: you know, you need to lose a few pounds, honey.
- 32:55Speaker 4: I'm being a friend to you. Like, I don't think
- 32:58Speaker 4: that's like, I think too often, you know, that's seen
- 33:01Speaker 4: as like, you're the worst almond mom.
- 33:02Speaker 2: And I'm like, yeah, but if you don't do that
- 33:04Speaker 2: at all, are you really okay? being a great mom.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:07Speaker 2: I think it's a hard struggle that mothers have.
- 33:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:10Speaker 3: It's so true, but I can't, I really can't thank
- 33:14Speaker 3: them enough. And them being my dad too, he was
- 33:16Speaker 3: so involved and he was like, Stephanie, you know, you
- 33:18Speaker 3: got to dress for the job that you want. You
- 33:21Speaker 3: got to dress to be addressed a certain way. You
- 33:23Speaker 3: have to look a certain, we live in a shallow
- 33:25Speaker 3: world and I don't know why people are so sensitive
- 33:28Speaker 3: to admit it. It is. I mean, I don't know
- 33:31Speaker 3: of Maybe Miami and L.A. are worse than New York.
- 33:35Speaker 3: But for the most part, we do live in a
- 33:37Speaker 3: shallow world. And I really am thankful that my parents
- 33:40Speaker 3: were like, Stephanie, you know, paint your nails, brush your hair. And,
- 33:44Speaker 3: you know, the nose job was obviously a major. But
- 33:48Speaker 3: I am very happy that my parents did that. I
- 33:50Speaker 3: don't want any kids ever. But if I did have
- 33:52Speaker 3: a child, I would probably do the same thing.
- 33:54Speaker 4: So just to get it clear, so you did grow
- 33:56Speaker 4: up in Miami. And what's your ethnic background?
- 34:01Speaker 3: Colombian. So I'm Colombian. I was born here. But, you know,
- 34:06Speaker 3: I spent so many months out of the year in
- 34:08Speaker 3: Colombia that I consider myself very Colombian. Also, my parents
- 34:12Speaker 3: don't really speak English. So they kind of sacrificed learning
- 34:16Speaker 3: English because they wanted us to be so strong in
- 34:19Speaker 3: Spanish and, like, reading and writing. The main language of
- 34:21Speaker 3: the house was Spanish. Their job... Well, my dad's job
- 34:25Speaker 3: was based very much in Latin America. So his the
- 34:28Speaker 3: Spanish was like the main language. I consider myself very Colombian.
- 34:33Speaker 2: So did you grow up with money?
- 34:36Speaker 3: Listen, in looking back, I think we I mean, I
- 34:41Speaker 3: grew up with like BMWs. I didn't grow up with
- 34:44Speaker 3: Rolls Royces. I mean, I grew up with BMWs and
- 34:48Speaker 3: like a really nice house. I went to private school.
- 34:51Speaker 3: I didn't grow up in flying business class. So like
- 34:56Speaker 3: it's all relative. I wasn't on like food stamps.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Right, right. No, I get it. So I was just
- 35:02Speaker 2: kind of wondering what that situation was.
- 35:04Speaker 4: So was it like you didn't have like armed guards
- 35:06Speaker 4: in front of your house and a staff of 12?
- 35:11Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no. And my mom made our
- 35:13Speaker 3: lunch boxes and they drove us to school. And like,
- 35:16Speaker 3: you know, we, we didn't really go out to eat often. We,
- 35:19Speaker 3: but you know, but I still had like the nicest
- 35:21Speaker 3: clothes and like, you know, nice shoes and stuff.
- 35:24Speaker 4: So, so now let's get into a couple of things.
- 35:27Speaker 4: Now you said I never wanted kids. So did you
- 35:29Speaker 4: know that at a, at a young age or did
- 35:32Speaker 4: you decide that after you became an adult?
- 35:36Speaker 3: Heather, I am so passionate about work. I'm so passionate
- 35:39Speaker 3: about being productive. I'm so passionate about like leaving the
- 35:44Speaker 3: house in the morning and going, doing something that like
- 35:46Speaker 3: produces or makes a change or just anything, like anything
- 35:51Speaker 3: that's not me at the house that I did for
- 35:55Speaker 3: a period of time, start thinking like, is there more
- 35:58Speaker 3: to life than just working and producing and being away
- 36:01Speaker 3: from home? And nobody really knows this, but I ended
- 36:06Speaker 3: up thinking like, okay, you know what, I'm going to
- 36:08Speaker 3: put Shoma on hold for a little bit at the
- 36:09Speaker 3: beginning of me working here. Everyone was saying, you know,
- 36:13Speaker 3: like Masoud's really wealthy. Like, why do you need to
- 36:15Speaker 3: go to work all the time? Like you, you're going
- 36:18Speaker 3: to regret this. And I believed everybody. I went to
- 36:21Speaker 3: Williams Sonoma and I packed up the car with like
- 36:24Speaker 3: pasta makers and carrot, cucumber, like cutters. I don't know,
- 36:29Speaker 3: a bunch of stuff. I came home and I was like,
- 36:31Speaker 3: I'm going to make dinners for my husband. And Heather,
- 36:34Speaker 3: I was miserable, miserable. I remember calling him and being like,
- 36:38Speaker 3: dinner's gonna be ready in an hour. Don't be late
- 36:39Speaker 3: because it's gonna get cold. He was late. The food
- 36:42Speaker 3: got cold. Like the plate didn't look good anymore. The
- 36:45Speaker 3: kitchen was a mess. Granted, I had help, but I
- 36:49Speaker 3: was like, this sucks. This is so hard. I just
- 36:52Speaker 3: stayed here all day to make this guy fresh pasta.
- 36:55Speaker 3: husbands are not showing up on time to eat it.
- 36:57Speaker 3: I was like, this is not for me. And then
- 37:00Speaker 3: I realized, like, imagine I'm this frustrated about him not
- 37:03Speaker 3: making it in time for the pasta. I have to
- 37:06Speaker 3: now feed three kids that are probably not going to
- 37:07Speaker 3: want my food. And they're going to turn teenagers, not
- 37:11Speaker 3: want to hang out with me. Like, this is like,
- 37:13Speaker 3: this is not a rewarding job. I don't feel like
- 37:16Speaker 3: this is rewarding. So then I started convincing myself, like,
- 37:19Speaker 3: this is not for me. And then I was like,
- 37:21Speaker 3: what if they get sick? I can't just cancel, you know,
- 37:24Speaker 3: my podcast with Heather because my kid has a fever.
- 37:27Speaker 3: Like I, I have an agenda to go. So I
- 37:30Speaker 3: convinced myself that it's just not for me.
- 37:32Speaker 4: I think it's really refreshing that, you know, women today
- 37:37Speaker 4: have the choice.
- 37:38Speaker 2: And it's not shameful and you always know.
- 37:41Speaker 4: Like me personally, I knew at a very young age,
- 37:44Speaker 4: like I want to be a mom no matter what,
- 37:46Speaker 4: even if I do it on my own. And, you know,
- 37:49Speaker 4: and I, my sister is a mom, but she struggled
- 37:52Speaker 4: with getting pregnant prior to becoming pregnant.
- 37:54Speaker 2: And she had a neighbor that was fabulous.
- 37:57Speaker 4: And she and her husband were like artsy fartsy and
- 37:59Speaker 4: like took photos and Joshua tree and all this other stuff.
- 38:02Speaker 2: And she ever wanted to be a mom.
- 38:03Speaker 4: And I said, Don't you, do you ever envy the
- 38:06Speaker 4: people that know that they never want to be a mom?
- 38:09Speaker 4: And we both are like, yeah, because if you do
- 38:12Speaker 4: and you have trouble attaining and it's so hard, but
- 38:15Speaker 4: if you are happy and you know, like. This really
- 38:18Speaker 4: isn't for me. It's not a huge desire of mine.
- 38:20Speaker 4: I don't feel like I'm missing out. I think that's
- 38:23Speaker 4: really refreshing to voice it in a public platform. I
- 38:27Speaker 4: think that's probably... I'm sure you've heard from a lot
- 38:29Speaker 4: of people that feel the same way.
- 38:31Speaker 2: And I want to just.
- 38:33Speaker 4: One little funny story that popped in my head about
- 38:35Speaker 4: my own mom is.
- 38:37Speaker 2: So my mom... My mom did get.
- 38:39Speaker 4: Her parents sent her off to an all-girl Catholic high
- 38:41Speaker 4: school because back then it was like those schools were
- 38:44Speaker 4: actually made so that women would then go on to
- 38:48Speaker 4: have a career and not just like get knocked up
- 38:50Speaker 4: like the private all-girl schools. So she was working, met
- 38:54Speaker 4: my dad in advertising, but then had all these kids
- 38:57Speaker 4: and loved, like really was a stay-at-home mom.
- 38:59Speaker 2: And she said, the reason I went into.
- 39:02Speaker 4: Real estate after I was like five years, six or
- 39:05Speaker 4: seven years old, after the five kids, is she said,
- 39:07Speaker 4: one day I made gingerbread cookies for the five kids.
- 39:13Speaker 4: And your dad came home and the house was a mess.
- 39:16Speaker 4: And he was like, what did you do all day?
- 39:18Speaker 4: And she said, I made gingerbread cookies. And he said, oh,
- 39:21Speaker 4: can I have one? And she said, no, they're all eaten.
- 39:25Speaker 4: And then she said, I realized I had nothing to show.
- 39:28Speaker 2: For my day.
- 39:30Speaker 4: And of course, I was going to listen to this
- 39:31Speaker 4: and like, yeah, but it's the memories and blah, blah, blah.
- 39:33Speaker 4: But it is kind of a funny thing of someone
- 39:36Speaker 4: that wants to be productive and show whatever that might be.
- 39:39Speaker 4: And that's what I think is great about women today
- 39:42Speaker 4: is that, yes, you can be a stay at home mom.
- 39:44Speaker 4: You can have these 10 or 20 years just doing
- 39:47Speaker 4: that and feel so fulfilled. But for the woman that
- 39:50Speaker 4: needs to feel like there's an actual productive result, whether
- 39:53Speaker 4: it's a paycheck or a building that's being built or whatever.
- 39:57Speaker 4: That should also be, you know, equally respected. And I think,
- 40:00Speaker 4: you know, we as women need to support each other
- 40:04Speaker 4: more and judge a lot less.
- 40:06Speaker 3: I totally agree. And when I came out and said
- 40:08Speaker 3: that I didn't want kids, you know, so many people
- 40:11Speaker 3: were like, oh, my God, finally, someone's going out there
- 40:13Speaker 3: and saying it. But of course, you get the ones
- 40:15Speaker 3: that are like, oh, you know, you're so shallow and
- 40:17Speaker 3: you should have kids and stuff. And it's just not
- 40:18Speaker 3: it's not my calling. Um, and you know what? I'm
- 40:22Speaker 3: glad that it's not my calling because I actually don't
- 40:24Speaker 3: think I can probably have kids because my husband has kids.
- 40:28Speaker 3: I've never used protection and I've never gotten pregnant. So
- 40:31Speaker 3: clearly I don't think that I, okay.
- 40:34Speaker 4: So what happens if tomorrow, I mean, you're like, yes,
- 40:38Speaker 4: you never know. It's not going to happen because he
- 40:41Speaker 4: has a vasectomy or what?
- 40:42Speaker 2: How do you know it never happened?
- 40:44Speaker 3: No, because I– Heather, I am no spring chicken. I
- 40:48Speaker 3: am going to be 41.
- 40:49Speaker 4: If it hasn't happened– Don't speak too soon.
- 40:51Speaker 2: You don't know. And then you know what?
- 40:53Speaker 4: And I think you would have a great attitude about it.
- 40:55Speaker 4: I think you'd be like, I guess this is meant
- 40:57Speaker 4: to be. I have all these resources. And it would
- 41:00Speaker 4: be amazing, you know. So it's just like I think
- 41:02Speaker 4: you're really in a great position now.
- 41:05Speaker 2: In your life.
- 41:06Speaker 4: Um, I do want to clear up some rumors of
- 41:09Speaker 4: how you did meet your husband. I've heard different things
- 41:14Speaker 4: that you were his ex-wife's assistant.
- 41:17Speaker 2: And then you met him.
- 41:18Speaker 4: Like, what is the real, what's the story of how
- 41:21Speaker 4: you guys met fell in love?
- 41:23Speaker 6: Okay.
- 41:23Speaker 3: I'm going to give you the timeline.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Okay.
- 41:25Speaker 3: I met my husband in 2013 at a Miami heat game.
- 41:27Speaker 5: Okay.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Um, Wait, I just need to know how. Are you
- 41:34Speaker 4: at the bar or like how are you talking to him?
- 41:36Speaker 3: Okay. First, let me start off by saying I was
- 41:39Speaker 3: never his ex-wife's assistant. I've never met the lady. Okay.
- 41:42Speaker 3: I've never met the lady, period.
- 41:43Speaker 2: To this day?
- 41:44Speaker 3: No, this day we have never met. I actually encourage
- 41:48Speaker 3: anybody that has any email of her and I communicating
- 41:52Speaker 3: if I was her assistant to come out with the
- 41:53Speaker 3: email or a photograph of her and I, because usually
- 41:56Speaker 3: you would have photographs with your assistant. Okay. Anything that
- 41:58Speaker 3: indicates that I worked for her or for Masood before
- 42:02Speaker 3: I got together, it doesn't exist because I've never met her.
- 42:06Speaker 3: So that's the main thing. I was at a Miami
- 42:10Speaker 3: Heat game with one of my guy friends and we
- 42:14Speaker 3: were at the bar hanging out and somebody that was
- 42:17Speaker 3: with Masood walked up to me and was like, oh, Mr.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Masood Shojai would like to meet you. And I turned
- 42:25Speaker 3: around and I was like, who's Masood Shojai? And I'm like,
- 42:28Speaker 3: I'm not going to walk over to a guy. The
- 42:31Speaker 3: friend that I was with told me, he's a very
- 42:34Speaker 3: big real estate developer. You're in real estate. You guys
- 42:38Speaker 3: should meet and potentially talk about business. I was like,
- 42:42Speaker 3: that's nice, but I'm not walking over to him. So
- 42:46Speaker 3: Long story short, Masoud ended up walking over to me.
- 42:48Speaker 3: We briefly spoke. He asked me for my telephone number.
- 42:52Speaker 3: I gave it to him. I told him, uh, we
- 42:54Speaker 3: can discuss if I can get some of your listings
- 42:56Speaker 3: in real estate. He's like, okay, sure. We'll talk about
- 42:59Speaker 3: it over dinner. Heather, he called me the next day
- 43:04Speaker 3: to plan a dinner. I had Googled him and I
- 43:07Speaker 3: was like, it looks like he's married. Uh, And I'm
- 43:12Speaker 3: not into this. So I told him a suit via text.
- 43:15Speaker 3: I'm sorry, but I need to cancel. I don't feel comfortable,
- 43:18Speaker 3: you know, going out with somebody that's older than me.
- 43:20Speaker 3: You know, my reputation is really important to me in
- 43:22Speaker 3: South Florida and I need to cancel this dinner. He
- 43:25Speaker 3: was like, oh, okay. He tried again a month later
- 43:29Speaker 3: and I'm like a month, three weeks, whatever. And I
- 43:33Speaker 3: was like, I don't, I don't feel good. Like I
- 43:35Speaker 3: just made up an excuse and we didn't end up
- 43:37Speaker 3: going out. That was 2013 Heather. Fast forward to 2014,
- 43:42Speaker 3: one year later, again, LA Lakers, Miami Heat. I really
- 43:46Speaker 3: like to go to that particular game. Now we're in 2014.
- 43:51Speaker 2: You've got some luck there.
- 43:53Speaker 3: I am now there with my sister. I'm sitting in
- 43:58Speaker 3: my seat, and I get a text message. I look
- 44:00Speaker 3: at my phone. It's Masoud. And he was like, this
- 44:02Speaker 3: is the last time I'm going to ask you. You've
- 44:04Speaker 3: been ignoring me. I have a story to tell. I'm separated.
- 44:09Speaker 3: I'm not married. You need to get my story from me.
- 44:13Speaker 3: I'm really interested in taking you out to dinner. We
- 44:15Speaker 3: could talk business. We could talk whatever. But I'm trying
- 44:17Speaker 3: to tell you, but you're not listening to me, that
- 44:19Speaker 3: I've been separated for many years. So... I call my
- 44:22Speaker 3: mom and I'm like, there's this guy. And she's like, oh,
- 44:25Speaker 3: I've heard of it. I've heard of him in like
- 44:26Speaker 3: the news. I'm like, yeah, but I think I don't
- 44:29Speaker 3: like he's saying he's separated. I don't know. She was like,
- 44:32Speaker 3: you know, just meet network people's network for like business.
- 44:35Speaker 3: You're in real estate. Now we're still in 2014. I
- 44:38Speaker 3: accept to go out with him. We talk at dinner.
- 44:41Speaker 3: We go to a very public restaurant here in Miami.
- 44:44Speaker 3: So that indicated to me right away, like if you're
- 44:46Speaker 3: taking me to a really public place, you're not trying
- 44:48Speaker 3: to hide me. It's not like you took me to
- 44:50Speaker 3: some like little restaurant. We're in a very public restaurant.
- 44:54Speaker 3: We had the best time and we spoke and I
- 44:55Speaker 3: was like, what's the deal? And he was like, you
- 44:58Speaker 3: can ask anyone around in Miami. I am separated. I'm
- 45:02Speaker 3: not divorced. We definitely don't sleep in the same bed.
- 45:06Speaker 3: We sometimes live in different homes. I don't want to
- 45:09Speaker 3: get divorced because I don't want to split the pie.
- 45:12Speaker 3: And because, you know, my kids, you know, I didn't
- 45:15Speaker 3: want them to have a stepdad. I wanted to be
- 45:18Speaker 3: part of like a strong father figure for my kids.
- 45:22Speaker 3: And I was like, okay, well, so then what are
- 45:23Speaker 3: you looking for me? And he's like, well, I don't know.
- 45:24Speaker 3: This is our first date. You know, what do you mean?
- 45:26Speaker 3: And I was like, oh, I mean, eventually, like, are
- 45:28Speaker 3: you going to get a divorce? And he was like,
- 45:31Speaker 3: I've been dating. I've been going out. It's very open,
- 45:35Speaker 3: but I'm not going to split my pie in half
- 45:38Speaker 3: unless I feel like it's somebody that's worth it.
- 45:41Speaker 2: That was 2014.
- 45:41Speaker 3: We continued to go out. And in 2015, the divorce
- 45:48Speaker 3: was filed. And I knew right then that we were,
- 45:53Speaker 3: we were really serious. You know, I, I knew that
- 45:56Speaker 3: it was going to be a serious thing. Um, so
- 45:59Speaker 3: that was now 2015 filed for divorce. The divorce took
- 46:03Speaker 3: a really long time, as you can imagine, because it's,
- 46:05Speaker 3: it's a lengthy divorce and there was a lot to
- 46:07Speaker 3: split down the middle. Um, 2018, the divorce is finalized.
- 46:12Speaker 3: That was in February of 2018. The divorce is finalized in, uh,
- 46:17Speaker 3: what was it? Cause I have the actual dates for you.
- 46:20Speaker 3: February 2018, the divorce was finalized. April 2018, I decided
- 46:26Speaker 3: to change my name with Masoud thought it was like,
- 46:28Speaker 3: it's fine. Change your name because we're going to get married.
- 46:31Speaker 3: I changed my name after they divorced. And then a
- 46:34Speaker 3: year later.
- 46:35Speaker 2: So you took his name before you were married?
- 46:38Speaker 4: Yes.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 46:40Speaker 6: Yes.
- 46:40Speaker 3: I was already working in the company. People already knew like,
- 46:44Speaker 3: you know, We were together. It was a matter of- And.
- 46:46Speaker 4: Can you just go to the social security office and
- 46:48Speaker 4: just change your name without like a marriage certificate?
- 46:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I went and I went with him. Of course,
- 46:53Speaker 3: I went with him and we said, you know, we're
- 46:56Speaker 3: going to get married and she wants to change her
- 46:57Speaker 3: last name. And, you know, I really liked the initials SS.
- 47:00Speaker 3: He was already divorced. It was already finalized.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Okay.
- 47:03Speaker 3: So I changed my name and then we got married
- 47:06Speaker 3: like 10 months later in the court.
- 47:09Speaker 2: So I have no- So you didn't have a big wedding?
- 47:12Speaker 3: No, Heather. I didn't have a big wedding because- A,
- 47:16Speaker 3: we've established I don't have a lot of friends. I mean,
- 47:21Speaker 3: it sounds horrible, but like I don't like I don't
- 47:24Speaker 3: I didn't have like a lot of friends.
- 47:25Speaker 2: Did you go to college?
- 47:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:29Speaker 4: But you didn't do like a sorority or anything like that?
- 47:32Speaker 3: No.
- 47:33Speaker 4: Oh, no, no, no.
- 47:34Speaker 3: I wasn't into it. As a matter of fact, I
- 47:37Speaker 3: would come home like every weekend. It was FSU. I
- 47:40Speaker 3: came home every weekend like to be with my parents.
- 47:42Speaker 3: I always hung out with my mom and my dad. Listen,
- 47:44Speaker 3: I've never been a very social person.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Okay.
- 47:48Speaker 3: And for the most part, I've always been an alpha female.
- 47:52Speaker 3: Alpha females in general– they don't tend to be running
- 47:56Speaker 3: in packs all the time. Like that's from like, that's
- 47:59Speaker 3: how I believe they just, they don't like need a
- 48:02Speaker 3: bunch of group, like a group all around. But anyway,
- 48:04Speaker 3: to answer your question, I didn't have a lot of friends.
- 48:08Speaker 3: The relationship was very much like people had opinions about it.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Because what is the age difference?
- 48:14Speaker 3: 24 years.
- 48:16Speaker 2: And you did your parents have any concerns about?
- 48:19Speaker 3: Oh, my parents loved him because Masoud, when you meet him,
- 48:24Speaker 3: has the best, funniest personality ever. And I think my
- 48:29Speaker 3: parents just knew like, oh my gosh, she's so happy.
- 48:31Speaker 3: She's met her match. Like they're just like really, really
- 48:34Speaker 3: get along. If you hang out with me and Masoud
- 48:37Speaker 3: for like an hour, you're going to be like, I
- 48:39Speaker 3: totally get this relationship. Like there's nothing not to get.
- 48:42Speaker 4: I mean, I definitely can see it just watching that
- 48:44Speaker 4: there is a real connection and respect. And, you know,
- 48:48Speaker 4: there's certain couples that you know, have their dynamics. And there's,
- 48:52Speaker 4: there's some that are very much like, you know, into
- 48:54Speaker 4: each other and spending time with each other. And I
- 48:56Speaker 4: think that that does translate on the TV. Was that
- 49:00Speaker 4: one of the things that you said early on in
- 49:01Speaker 4: dating is like, um, I don't want to have kids.
- 49:04Speaker 4: Cause I would think that would be a relief to
- 49:06Speaker 4: someone that age that already has kids. They don't really,
- 49:09Speaker 4: so many times the second wife says they don't want
- 49:11Speaker 4: to have kids. And then they're like, if you don't
- 49:13Speaker 4: give me a baby, I'm out. And now the guy
- 49:15Speaker 4: is crippled walking around, you know, Orlando, Florida and 110
- 49:18Speaker 4: degree heat with a baby. And he's like, this is
- 49:21Speaker 4: not what I signed up for, you know? So did
- 49:24Speaker 4: you convey that early on in the relationship?
- 49:26Speaker 3: So, no, I had told, he had asked me if
- 49:28Speaker 3: I wanted kids. I was like, I don't think so.
- 49:30Speaker 3: But believe it or not, like three, four years into
- 49:32Speaker 3: the relationship, he was like, you know, I know that
- 49:35Speaker 3: we discussed it, but if you want to have a baby,
- 49:37Speaker 3: like I, I'm all here for it. And I was like,
- 49:39Speaker 3: I don't know where this is coming from. Like, are
- 49:41Speaker 3: you wanting one? And then we had a conversation and
- 49:44Speaker 3: he was like, oh, it would be cute. And then
- 49:46Speaker 3: I always joke with him. I'm like, I don't want
- 49:47Speaker 3: to push a stroller and a wheelchair at the same time.
- 49:49Speaker 3: Like he gets my humor, you know, but to go
- 49:53Speaker 3: back to the wedding thing, a lot of people had
- 49:54Speaker 3: things to say. And I was like, why are we
- 49:57Speaker 3: going to invite people? Spend a ton of money. Half
- 50:00Speaker 3: of them are going to talk shit. They're going to
- 50:02Speaker 3: say something about the food, my dress, and or the
- 50:04Speaker 3: fact that we got together.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Why?
- 50:07Speaker 3: So what I chose was a month-long honeymoon in Dubai,
- 50:10Speaker 3: the Maldives, and– Thailand with my mom and my dad.
- 50:15Speaker 3: Now a month long trip with the people that I
- 50:18Speaker 3: love most has been the best memories rather than being
- 50:21Speaker 3: able to show people that I had a wedding and
- 50:24Speaker 3: you know, I don't even speak to half the people
- 50:26Speaker 3: that went there and they didn't like the cake.
- 50:29Speaker 4: I also think that is so valuable and refreshing. I've
- 50:35Speaker 4: never really heard someone say that, that no, when they
- 50:39Speaker 4: know they're in a relationship and even if they had
- 50:41Speaker 4: a big party, that there'd be a majority of people
- 50:44Speaker 4: that would go in the bathroom and talk shit. And
- 50:47Speaker 4: it's funny because when I got married, my husband had
- 50:52Speaker 4: a child and I've shared the story.
- 50:54Speaker 2: It's a very juicy story.
- 50:56Speaker 4: It's basically, you know, he impregnated a woman the weekend
- 51:00Speaker 4: before meeting me. So the baby, they were not in
- 51:03Speaker 4: a relationship and we've been married 25 years.
- 51:07Speaker 2: She lives with us. She calls me mom.
- 51:09Speaker 4: I raised her, you know, it all worked out, but
- 51:11Speaker 4: it's a very juicy, like lifetime movie story. But I
- 51:15Speaker 4: told my parents, you know, we're going to get married
- 51:19Speaker 4: and there is an infant, you.
- 51:21Speaker 2: Know, you know, which is juicy.
- 51:23Speaker 4: Like when I went to the church, they were like,
- 51:25Speaker 4: I said, there's a seven month old baby. And they
- 51:27Speaker 4: were like, uh, oh, I thought you were going to
- 51:29Speaker 4: say seven years old, you know? And I'm like, well,
- 51:31Speaker 4: she's seven months. And like, so, you know, she only
- 51:34Speaker 4: knows her parents not to be together. She knows that, like,
- 51:37Speaker 4: I thought of all the benefits, you know? And I'm like,
- 51:39Speaker 4: what if I can't have kids?
- 51:40Speaker 2: I have a beautiful daughter. You know, I don't know
- 51:42Speaker 2: what my future holds.
- 51:44Speaker 4: But I knew that if I let that out before
- 51:47Speaker 4: the wedding, because we had a, you know, traditional wedding, church,
- 51:50Speaker 4: country club wedding, I knew there would be people in
- 51:53Speaker 4: the bathroom.
- 51:54Speaker 2: I literally said that.
- 51:55Speaker 4: I go, I don't want people to know besides like
- 51:57Speaker 4: only one of my sisters knew and one best friend knew.
- 52:00Speaker 4: I'm telling you, nobody else knew from my family. I said, I, I,
- 52:05Speaker 4: then when we get married and come back, I will
- 52:07Speaker 4: then say, I'm so lucky I'm a stepmother, you know,
- 52:10Speaker 4: because I knew that people would judge it. I knew
- 52:13Speaker 4: people would be like, you shouldn't get married. I knew
- 52:16Speaker 4: they'd be talking shit in the bathroom. And I, That's
- 52:20Speaker 4: just very interesting that you had the foresight to know
- 52:24Speaker 4: and not kid yourself that these fake people would act
- 52:27Speaker 4: like we love them and then get on the phone
- 52:30Speaker 4: and talk shit. I think that's really... Very refreshing, actually.
- 52:34Speaker 3: Which I think, you know, it's so and I saw
- 52:37Speaker 3: your face when I said that I didn't have a
- 52:38Speaker 3: lot of friends and did it, you know, if I
- 52:39Speaker 3: had friends in college and stuff. But I want to
- 52:41Speaker 3: touch base on that because it's been really big on
- 52:43Speaker 3: the show. It's been really big. And the Reddit threads
- 52:46Speaker 3: and people saying, no wonder she doesn't have friends is
- 52:47Speaker 3: why she can't keep friends. I think that's what it is, Heather.
- 52:50Speaker 3: I've been so avoidant of people judging and talking shit
- 52:55Speaker 3: behind my back and like not true friends and backstabbing
- 52:59Speaker 3: and like just not being happy for you. or not
- 53:02Speaker 3: understanding you. And like, I wanted to go home every
- 53:06Speaker 3: weekend to be with my mom and dad. That was
- 53:08Speaker 3: not really understood in school. Like, why do you have to, like, why?
- 53:12Speaker 3: So I just avoid so much having to surround myself
- 53:16Speaker 3: with negativity and gossip that I just end up, you
- 53:20Speaker 3: end up kind of being alone. I go three or
- 53:23Speaker 3: four friends and it's not that bad in the way
- 53:25Speaker 3: the world takes it. Like, oh, no wonder she doesn't
- 53:27Speaker 3: have friends. Twitter's full of, she has no friends. And
- 53:30Speaker 3: we can see why. I mean, really, I just like
- 53:33Speaker 3: peaceful living. And if my peaceful living includes three people,
- 53:38Speaker 3: then so be it.
- 53:39Speaker 2: I think that's great.
- 53:40Speaker 4: And I will say being in this world where I'm
- 53:43Speaker 4: a comedian and I talk about.
- 53:45Speaker 2: The housewives, I've always loved it. It's been a big
- 53:46Speaker 2: part of Juicy Scoop.
- 53:48Speaker 4: And when I've had my, you know, friends that do
- 53:51Speaker 4: what I do, there's been friendship breakups and stuff.
- 53:55Speaker 2: And in small little things, you know, circles of whatever.
- 53:59Speaker 4: But when I thought it was fascinating how fans of
- 54:03Speaker 4: mine or housewives or whatever are so intrigued by friend,
- 54:08Speaker 4: female friendship breakups and whose fault it was and what happened.
- 54:12Speaker 4: And part of that is why it's, why housewives are
- 54:16Speaker 4: so successful because it's, it's kind of looking at these
- 54:19Speaker 4: female friendships and, You know, that these two are best friends,
- 54:22Speaker 4: but could they be broken up? And do they break
- 54:24Speaker 4: up because of the housewife media circle? Or was it
- 54:29Speaker 4: really something we saw on the show? So I do
- 54:30Speaker 4: think it's really why we love the show. But I
- 54:33Speaker 4: also think it's really interesting that you, at a young age,
- 54:38Speaker 4: kind of recognize that about women, unfortunately. And, you know,
- 54:43Speaker 4: that someone sees the young girl with the older guy
- 54:45Speaker 4: and just wants to immediately think that the intentions are
- 54:49Speaker 4: not true love.
- 54:50Speaker 3: And, you know, since a very young age, I saw
- 54:52Speaker 3: it and I felt it. And I was just like,
- 54:54Speaker 3: I don't want to compete. Like, I'm like, if they're like,
- 54:56Speaker 3: Heather just got, you know, I don't know, a huge gig.
- 55:00Speaker 3: I'm going to be so happy for you. Like anything
- 55:03Speaker 3: that happened, like anything, you get a new purse, a car.
- 55:06Speaker 3: I genuinely just want to be. And I don't like
- 55:10Speaker 3: to surround myself with people that like, we're fine. And
- 55:12Speaker 3: then like two minutes later, you're talking shit, which I
- 55:14Speaker 3: think played a major part also in the housewives where like,
- 55:17Speaker 3: When I sensed that somebody was saying something, I immediately say, like,
- 55:22Speaker 3: what's the problem? And I get over it, but I
- 55:24Speaker 3: have to tell you that I know what you said
- 55:26Speaker 3: and I'm angry. I just like things to be, like,
- 55:29Speaker 3: to your face, not, you know, behind your back.
- 55:32Speaker 4: Yeah, so jumping to the show in episodes that have
- 55:36Speaker 4: already aired. So you guys go to Spain and you
- 55:40Speaker 4: do have the private jet, which is, you know, ultimate
- 55:43Speaker 4: luxury there. And you're like, I can't bring everybody. I'm
- 55:46Speaker 4: not going to bring everybody. So let's go kind of
- 55:48Speaker 4: through how we're going to invite the people, which.
- 55:49Speaker 2: I thought was like totally fair.
- 55:52Speaker 4: And I also thought Julia was very honest where she's like, no,
- 55:55Speaker 4: I'm not giving up a private jet to sit next
- 55:58Speaker 4: to my friend.
- 55:58Speaker 2: We're all friends. We see each other all the time.
- 56:00Speaker 2: You're a grown woman.
- 56:01Speaker 4: It's not like it'd be one thing if you're like, hey,
- 56:04Speaker 4: you can come on the jet, but your three-year-old daughter can't.
- 56:06Speaker 4: And then she leaves a three-year-old child or she brought
- 56:09Speaker 4: her boys. And they went on the plane without, okay,
- 56:12Speaker 4: that's a little something someone can maybe judge. Even then,
- 56:15Speaker 4: I think a lot of women would be like, with
- 56:17Speaker 4: a proper nanny, I'm okay with it. I still think
- 56:22Speaker 4: maybe not if they're little, but whatever. But yeah, this
- 56:24Speaker 4: is an ultimate luxurious moment. Who would want to miss
- 56:27Speaker 4: out on that? You don't get invited on a private jet.
- 56:29Speaker 4: many times in your life, even if you're at a
- 56:32Speaker 4: level of, you know, wealth and fame.
- 56:34Speaker 2: So I thought you handled it really well.
- 56:36Speaker 4: And then when we share that you even let them
- 56:39Speaker 4: have like the bigger bed or whatever, I think that
- 56:42Speaker 4: just shows that you were like, yeah, I get this
- 56:44Speaker 4: all the time, but for you, it's an experience and
- 56:46Speaker 4: I want to make it a nice experience.
- 56:49Speaker 3: And I don't think, sorry, I don't think people got
- 56:52Speaker 3: to see that in reality, I gave them my bed
- 56:55Speaker 3: and I gave Adriana the second bed and I did
- 56:57Speaker 3: not lay down Really, the rest of the flight, like
- 57:01Speaker 3: I was catering to making sure that everybody was fine
- 57:04Speaker 3: and I went to sit on the seat. I'm really
- 57:07Speaker 3: not as bad as some people like to make me
- 57:09Speaker 3: out to be. You know, it was fun picking who
- 57:12Speaker 3: could go and who could not go. But it was still,
- 57:13Speaker 3: you know, playing checkers. I couldn't invite Lisa because she would,
- 57:17Speaker 3: you know. Her and Larsa would yank each other's hair out.
- 57:21Speaker 3: Julia and Gertie, I had invited Julia first, so I
- 57:24Speaker 3: couldn't have invited Gertie. It had nothing to do with
- 57:28Speaker 3: me not liking Lisa or me not liking Gertie. I
- 57:30Speaker 3: love them all, as a matter of fact. We all
- 57:33Speaker 3: became very close. It was just very strategic on who
- 57:36Speaker 3: could come. At the end of the day, another thing
- 57:38Speaker 3: people don't notice is that if you're on a commercial
- 57:41Speaker 3: flight and a fight breaks out, you know the pilot
- 57:44Speaker 3: has to do an emergency landing.
- 57:45Speaker 5: Right.
- 57:46Speaker 3: If a fight breaks out on a private plane, the
- 57:50Speaker 3: pilot still has to land. Like he can't, he can't
- 57:53Speaker 3: just continue on with the whole fight. So I needed
- 57:55Speaker 3: to make sure that it was a safe, fine group
- 57:58Speaker 3: that would get along for seven hours.
- 58:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:01Speaker 2: I can see all that. That's amazing.
- 58:03Speaker 4: Speaking of Larsa and Lisa, I really thought the storyline
- 58:09Speaker 4: is funny and relatable that Lisa has continued to follow
- 58:14Speaker 4: Marcus and, And I do think it's weird. And I
- 58:18Speaker 4: am on Larsa's side on this because I'm like, well,
- 58:21Speaker 4: is his content that exciting?
- 58:23Speaker 2: Like, why do you have to follow him? It seems
- 58:25Speaker 2: so weird.
- 58:27Speaker 4: I could see if you accidentally, like, even when like, um,
- 58:30Speaker 4: Adriana's like, I still follow Lenny.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Like, yeah, she probably was like, I'm still following. She's like,
- 58:36Speaker 2: I'm probably still, I probably didn't.
- 58:37Speaker 4: It's one thing just not to think about like, oh,
- 58:39Speaker 4: now let me physically unfollow.
- 58:43Speaker 5: Okay.
- 58:43Speaker 4: But once it was revealed to Lisa, like, it really
- 58:46Speaker 4: bothers me that you still talk to him and follow
- 58:48Speaker 4: him and why you met him through me.
- 58:52Speaker 2: And I totally agree with Larsa.
- 58:54Speaker 4: Once they break up, once a couple breaks up, which
- 58:58Speaker 4: she said, even if my grandma divorced my grandpa, I'd
- 59:02Speaker 4: be like, sorry, grandpa, not going to follow you on
- 59:04Speaker 4: Instagram anymore. Like I, I totally agree with that. Quick
- 59:08Speaker 4: question though, because this popped up and I forgot about it.
- 59:11Speaker 4: We know that Larsa at one time was very close
- 59:14Speaker 4: to Kim Kardashian and was seen on the show and
- 59:16Speaker 4: they were very close.
- 59:17Speaker 2: And I heard her do an interview a while ago about.
- 59:21Speaker 4: There was something when, when they were going through the
- 59:23Speaker 4: Kanye stuff, Kanye like called Larsa to like maybe bring
- 59:28Speaker 4: her in to try to help a fight or whatever.
- 59:30Speaker 2: After that, they broke up.
- 59:32Speaker 4: But I wonder when did, you know, if Larsa didn't
- 59:36Speaker 4: stop following Kanye quick enough, you know what I mean?
- 59:38Speaker 4: Like what, you know, maybe she learned from that and
- 59:42Speaker 4: was like, the minute that happens, you cannot be a
- 59:46Speaker 4: counselor to two.
- 59:48Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 59:49Speaker 3: Yeah. That I have no idea because I didn't know
- 59:51Speaker 3: her at that time. And then I never really asked her,
- 59:54Speaker 3: but I can tell you that Larsa, uh, She really,
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: and I hope, you know, it stays like this forever,
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: but she's one of the most loyal friends that I
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: have met. And like, you know, in a short period
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: of time, she is diehard, like loyal. Like she's not
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: joking when she probably would unfollow her grandpa. Like that
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: is just, she's really like that, like to a fault.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: And I feel like if somebody doesn't give that back
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: to her, she like loses it. She loses it because
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: she really gives you that loyalty. So she, yeah, she
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: can't handle it if you don't give it back to her.
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: You do not need to comment on this, but this
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: is what I do think happened between she and Kim,
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: which has happened to a lot of people in my life,
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: is that Kim shared a lot about her marriage with
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: Larsa and then was almost sort of embarrassed and then
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: just kind of separated herself And it wasn't– and Larsa
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: was that good friend that was on the phone with
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: her all the time. And sometimes that happens when a
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: couple breaks up or they break up and then they
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: get back together. They almost are like they dumped the
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: girlfriend because– I don't know. So I, that's what I,
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: you know, I need to comment, but that's what I.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: Personally think happened.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: I do think Larsa was always a good friend and
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: maybe too good of a friend.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: And I do see that in the show.
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: And so I am team Larsa in watching it because
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: I think it's very obvious and I think it's a relationship,
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: a dynamic that I have seen play out in my
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: own normal life with friends and people breaking up and
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: getting divorced.
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that would make sense just because of what the Larsa,
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: the Larsa that I currently know, like the Larsa that
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: like I met is very loyal. So that could be
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: a theory. I don't know.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: I love that you called out Lisa on being late.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: I want to make sure I was not a second
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: late for this Zoom. And obviously, yeah, there is that
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: that is. crazy that, um, I did, I did a
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: podcast with her. She was not late, but, um, I.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: Might have something, I might've had something to do with that. No,
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: she's not late anymore.
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: And I think, but I think that is a very interesting,
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: I think that's kind of a funny thing too, because
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: I believe everybody in this world is either on time
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: or early, always 15 minutes late, or like an hour late. Like,
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: I don't know anybody that's like a 30, a 30
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: second late, you know, a 30 minute late.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: It's always that, right?
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: I have like a couple of friends, like my sister
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: and my best friend, they're always 15, always.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: So for like 20 years.
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: And then, and then, and then I had a friend
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: that's no longer a friend that was hour, hour and
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: a half.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: And I was like, is that why you're not friends
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: with her anymore?
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Like it wasn't too fucking much.
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: Like it's one thing to just calculate.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: No.
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: That if I say 5.45, my girl's showing up at six.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: Now I know it. I don't try to hide it.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: I don't try to change her.
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: But it's that really long late that just is so rude.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: Like, how are you not looking at the clock and panicking?
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Because it's someone who's on time.
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: I have a full panic, you know, and I'm driving
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: in LA and LA traffic. And that's why I'm always
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: like 15 minutes early because you have to, you know.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: So what were you going to say? You said you
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: have a funny story.
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: I have a funny story. So my husband and I, we,
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: we really are like just yin yang, always get together,
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: but we fight. So thank God I've helped fix him.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: But like, he is.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: Persian.
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: And Persians, for the most part, are known for being late.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: I mean, it's a stereotype. Heather, he was late for everything.
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: And I would lose it in the car. My personality
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: that you see is my real personality. I'm super snappy.
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: It's just like a chihuahua. I'll just start yapping away.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: And I was like, I can't do this. We're so disrespectful.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: We're late. And he would, at one point, was like,
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: you need to get out and get yourself an Uber.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: And I was like, I'm never driving with you. And
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: then finally I was like, this isn't going to work.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: Like I will meet you at the restaurant and I'll
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: see you when I see you. Our friends are going
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: to know that it's you that's disrespectful, not me, because
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: I am so insane about being punctual. Thankfully I fixed him.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: Now it's like, he's only like six, seven minutes late
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: and That to me is very much progress, you know?
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: So I've done a good job. I'm fixing people left
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: and right here.
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: You said the little chihuahua thing. How little are you?
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: Oh my God. Everybody's asking me. I'm 5'2. I weigh
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: 125 pounds. I am very, I'm very petite.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you are petite. I mean, I couldn't.
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: It's like sometimes you can't tell, like, you know, like
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: in your gown, like in the opening, you know, and
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: then when you see you like walk into your room
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: and you have platform shoes on and you're still little.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: I was like, how little is this person?
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: I'm tiny, but the worst part is that my arms
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: are super short. So it's like makes me even smaller.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: I have like little arms. My husband calls me T-Rex
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: because I'm like, so it was funny. I have a
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: really good sense of humor. Nothing really insults me that much,
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: except when people tell me I was his ex's assistant.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: That makes my blood boil.
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: I wonder how these stories come about because I've noticed
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: as someone who's been into Housewives for 20 years that
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: lately there's been weird, for lack of a better word.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Fake news.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: It'll look like a news article and then an Instagram
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: account or something will pick it up. And people will
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: like want to put it in my like Facebook group
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: for Juicy Scoop.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: And I'm like, I don't think this is true.
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: This isn't coming from like Bravo.com or Page Six or whatever.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: And I'm like, what is this?
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: And I think people are just bored and they just
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: pull it out of their ass.
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: I mean, listen. I'm not going to say that I
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: got together with Masoud in a conventional way. I didn't.
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: It wasn't conventional. I won't be the first. I won't
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: be the last of somebody that dates a separated man.
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: Masoud will also not be the last guy that doesn't
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: want to get a divorce to not split the pie.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: And if they do end up wanting to split the pie,
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: waiting to meet somebody that's worth it. Our situation is
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: not the norm. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. Do
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: I feel bad? I wasn't the cause of that relationship ending.
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: That relationship had been long done for eight, 10 years.
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: If people don't want to believe it, that's on them.
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: And where did it start? It started on Reddit and
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: people are saying, I heard it on Reddit. Like that's
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: not very, you know, that's not a reliable source. No.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: And that's anonymous and people could write anything. I mean,
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: people could say Heather McDowell.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: Eats puppy brains to stay thin.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: And that could be picked up and been like, I
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: saw her at Petco, you know, and I saw her
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: buying a puppy that we've never seen in an Instagram photo.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: And then someone's like, proof, proof that she, like, it
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: gets crazy.
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: And it's, you know, it's, yeah, it's, that is so, yeah,
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: that's really, that's really interesting that you say all that.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: It's true.
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: I'm, I'm also, there's another rumor, if I just can
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: say that I saw that, The reason that Dr. Nicole
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: left the show was because at one time you dated
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: her now partner.
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: Yes. Anthony and I dated. Okay. 20 years ago. To me,
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: it was a serious relationship. I was young. I mean,
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: I don't know. Probably not serious to him because he was,
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: you know... like older, like older than me. I think
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: he was like eight, seven years older than me. Um,
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: we ended fine. He broke up with me. There's like
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: no hard feelings. Like we don't speak. We haven't spoken
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: in a long time. Nicole and I also had never
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: met until we met on that zoom the one time. Um,
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: and then afterwards we went to Gertie's birthday party, but
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: If she didn't come for me, that's news to me.
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: That's what people are saying. But you have to meet me.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: I'm actually a nice person.
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: I've never heard her come for you at all.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: That was just, again, the behind-the-scenes rumor of why she–
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: and I not knowing anything. I was like, well, it
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: wouldn't be the first time that housewives– maybe on purpose,
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: find an ex, you know, or something to bring on
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: that's in the community that knows the girls to spark something.
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: And then she was like, I'm out. But once I
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: heard that, oh my God, it was 20 years ago
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: and it was fine.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: And like, no, we didn't talk after we broke up,
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: which you shouldn't.
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: I don't think people should be friends with their ex
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: unless you're sharing kids. So like I, but again, like,
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: It is interesting that then those things go, you know,
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: people want to find like.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: More of a, you know, a juicy story behind it.
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: You know, I think Nicole's fabulous. She's great. We're very different.
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: Like Nicole's like the modest, more humble, like not show off.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: She's like super sweet. Like. Totally opposite than me. I'm
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: a show off. I'm loud. I'm picking fights with everybody.
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: Like we're totally different, but we could still get along.
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: There's no point of pinning us against each other. She's fabulous.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: We have different personalities. I mean, there's nothing that we
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: don't have anything against each other.
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: Well, speaking of which, do you think because you say
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: Alexia is. coming for me because I do think she
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: has some insecurities and seeing you with your success.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: And your wealth and everything.
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: How do you feel about that now without revealing like
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: any spoilers, but how did you conclude that that was
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: the situation?
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: So I wasn't saying that she was insecure about me
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: being successful or what I have. I truly don't believe
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: that that's the case. I was saying you're insecure based
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: on the, moment that she was unfortunately going through with
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: Todd that it was making her in general insecure had
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: nothing to do with what I brought or didn't bring.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: And a lot of it had to do with a
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: comment that she made, um, that said you wouldn't have
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: joined this group if your marriage was great or something
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: like that. And then we got into an argument, uh,
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: It aired. It was, it was outside of, it was
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: outside of Gertie's thing. And, um, or she said something
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: along the lines and then it triggered me because I
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: was like, wait a minute. you can say anything you
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: want to say about me, but you're never going to
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: say anything about my marriage because my marriage is rock solid. Like,
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: it's not like I'm pretending that it's rock solid and
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: it's going to hit, shit's going to hit the fan.
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: Like we have a solid relationship. So you saying that
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: is you portraying your insecurities or your, you know, your
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: fears or what you like, what you're living onto me.
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: And then I was like, but there's a lot of
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: housewives that are very happily married that joined the group
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: of housewives. So yeah, It rubbed me and pissed me off,
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: rubbed me the wrong way, because I was like, this
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: statement's so out of line. That's where the insecurity came about.
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: She's very secure in her own skin if she's hanging
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: out with somebody that's wealthier or somebody that has nothing
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: to do with money. We're in a great place.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: We.
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: We're both alphas. We're both very strong opinionated. We both
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: are firecrackers. Like you ignite us within like a millisecond.
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: But she's great. She's great. And I hope that she
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: finds a great guy and moves on from that.
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: Yeah, that's an interesting situation she has going on. But
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: you did say there's a lot of housewives that have
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: great marriages.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: I mean, there actually aren't.
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: I mean, you probably- Well, there is- Heather Dubrow- Okay,
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: Heather Dubrow is probably one of the last ones, Stani.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: Okay, there are.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: Kathy Hilton.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: Marisol Patton.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but she met her guy later in the show.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: She was single.
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: I think, I'm not saying it's going to happen for you.
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: I do believe you have a great marriage, but I
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: was curious. So I guess you didn't hear, but there
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: is like what they would say, almost like a Kardashian curse,
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: a housewife curse, where many women after they appear on
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: the show throughout the last almost 20 years end up
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: getting divorced. If you look at like all the OC
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: girls and the New Jersey girls and all these other
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: things and New York.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: And so I just wondered if anybody in your world.
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: Came to concern of, even if you have a rock
- 1:12:04Speaker 4: solid marriage, it's hard to anticipate what the voices online and,
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: and everything might do to chip away at a, what
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: would normally be, you know, a solid marriage.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: Um, add to that list, Lisa Rinna, cause she's still
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: also married, but.
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: And she, yeah, yeah, that's true. And she left though.
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: That's good.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: She left.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: So there's, I mean, if there's, there's definitely, I'm sure
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: more that I just don't know their names, but, um,
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: I don't know. And maybe I'm speaking out of line
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: here because I haven't really been a fan of like
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: all of the franchises, nor have I did I do
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: my homework and watching them like religiously or like I
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: didn't really know so much. So maybe you're going to
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: tell me I'm way out of line here. But. I
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: feel like. My husband is very secure in his skin.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: He does not care if I'm shining brighter. He does.
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: It's not about money. There's no worry about the paycheck
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: or if it's coming, if it doesn't, I'm not a,
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: like a breadwinner per se, that makes a dent in
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: this relationship. Um, So he's so secure in himself. Like
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: he does not care. He's rock solid about like what
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: people are saying. So I think that is a way
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: that maybe would crumble a relationship. He, I always said,
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: and I still say this to my friends, if you
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: are truly an ambitious woman, you have two options. You
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: either marry a supportive husband or you don't get married
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: at all. That's it. And it's a supportive husband that
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: is going to support your decisions through whatever it is
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: and never feel inferior or doubt that you are making
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: the right choice. So I feel that that's how Masoud
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: and I are, but it does scare me because I'm like, wait,
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: am I not seeing what everyone else is seeing? Or
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: am I just that lucky that I have this amazing relationship?
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: Or am I really just boarding the train of disaster?
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: Well, now that you said that, and if I was
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: to write a college paper on it now, I would
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: want to highlight the marriages that have made it and
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: see what those similarities are. And now that you've pointed
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: it out, I do think that everybody that I have
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: talked to that got divorced after being on the show,
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: they all said, I would have probably still gotten divorced,
- 1:14:30Speaker 4: but it may be this sped it up. Maybe highlighting,
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: so maybe highlighting the negativity or they went on the
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: show because they weren't happy in their marriage and they
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: thought either watching it back would make the asshole husband
- 1:14:45Speaker 4: realize he was an asshole and be nicer or give
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: them an avenue to leave the asshole. So now that
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: you say that, I look back at the ones you
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: brought up, the Hilton's, have been married forever and they
- 1:15:00Speaker 4: lived through fame already before she got on the show.
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: So I, and he keeps his distance and he thinks
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: she's a hoot. The first time I met Rick Hilton,
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: he said, he knew me as a comedian and he said, you.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: Know, Kathy does impressions.
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: Kathy does all these voices, which is like so funny
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: that now we see her as a funny person.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: We didn't know that, you know, 15 years ago.
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: And also, you know, the way that, Lisa and Harry Hamlin,
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: even when she goes, don't fucking talk about the husband
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: or whatever, it's because she was smart enough to know like,
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: you can, you're not going to ever fuck with that.
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: You know, it's people that I think you're right. I
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: think it's women that come into it and have it
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: at a pedestal. I mean, I do think a shocking
- 1:15:45Speaker 4: one was, was Kyle and Mauricio, but I would also
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: argue that if Kyle and Mauricio weren't in the public eye,
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: would they have lasted as long as they did? Because
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: she even said, It hurts me when people said, you
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: were our goals. And it was the thing I was
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: the most proud of that I stayed married this long.
- 1:16:03Speaker 4: And it makes me wonder, well, would you have stayed
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: married that long if you weren't stuck on this pedestal
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: of the lasting cutest couple? You know, like sometimes I'm like,
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: sometimes these people that go relationship goals, I'm like, God,
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: that's a lot to live up to too.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 1:16:19Speaker 4: That everyone thinks you're like this great thing. So no,
- 1:16:23Speaker 4: I'm not worried about you guys. I just wanted to
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: have you... you know, heard that, but I think you
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: bringing up too, that the money isn't something that's keeping
- 1:16:31Speaker 4: the household going.
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: And I do think with certain housewives.
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: It gets to be that, or it's the addiction to
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: the fame that they never want to let go. Like
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: there's people that have been on the show that are
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: kind of like, I can take it or leave it
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: or whatever. And then there's other, you know, there's other
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: ones that I feel like get a taste of it.
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: And maybe they always dreamt of being on a friend's
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: type of show back in the nineties, but didn't really
- 1:16:56Speaker 4: do the work to get there. And now like, what
- 1:16:59Speaker 4: was your, what was your relationship with like, as a
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: little girl, did you ever secretly think that you could
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: be like a famous person or want to be on TV?
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: You said once you started doing the pilot stuff, you
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: actually liked it, but was that ever something that you
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: aspired to do?
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: No. So I just always really liked marketing. It's very
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: clear if you follow my pages that I really like
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: to market Shoma. Like I just live and breathe marketing.
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: I just genuinely enjoy it. And I think that was
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: really what pushed me to be like, TV is going
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: to be fun because you get to put the brand
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: out there. And of course it would be fun. But
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: I guess a little girl, I think more than anything,
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: I just wanted to, you know, see what it was
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: to like have friends and like be, you know, surround
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: myself with people. And then with time is when I
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: realized this is not, you know, it's just not, it's tough.
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: It's very tough having friends and cultivating the friendships and stuff.
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: But I never really looked forward to being famous. It
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: was when Larsa and I had that conversation and she
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: was like, I think you'll enjoy it. You already enjoy
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: social media. It'll be fun. Um, but to be honest
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: with you, Heather, I go to bed at like eight 30.
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: Like I'm not out. Like when we go to restaurants
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: at six o'clock, you don't catch me in Miami going
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: out like at nine to be seen. I'm not going
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: to purposely like the hottest restaurants to get a picture
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: taken of me. It's not my personality. Um, So has
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: fame really done anything for me that I love, love? No,
- 1:18:26Speaker 3: not really.
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: I think that's also really interesting. It was just something
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: I've said about like the future of these type of
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: shows and stuff is that by getting younger people like yourself,
- 1:18:38Speaker 4: they have, you know, experienced the last 20 years being
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: on social media and sharing a lot about their life.
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: So going the next step and having a reality show
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: isn't such a huge, massive change in their life the
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: way it was if someone joined Housewives with no social
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: media 10 years ago, had their marriage exposed, had all
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: this stuff.
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: I think that's why.
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: The TikTok moms and the Mormon moms why they are
- 1:19:08Speaker 4: so open about their lives on camera because they already
- 1:19:11Speaker 4: were open on it before and why like the gen, um,
- 1:19:14Speaker 4: the next gen or whatever that show in New York
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: with all the other kids that were, you know, children
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: of housewives or whatnot, why they're really comfortable in doing it.
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: And it's not like a debilitating thing to have their.
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: Life out there. And so, yeah, I agree with, with,
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: with what Larsa said.
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: Um, You know, it's also a challenge with Housewives when
- 1:19:37Speaker 4: they bring on a friend that they're like, you better
- 1:19:40Speaker 4: be my friend and we better stick together and be
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: loyal forever. Because throughout filming, that could be fractured. Was
- 1:19:47Speaker 4: that ever a concern? Do you think of Larsa's?
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: I don't think so. And it's funny because I was
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: just talking about this the other day. I think Larsa
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: knows my personality. Like, it's like, if you know exactly
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: who I am and like how I am... in the
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: sense of like, I'm argumentative, like I'm not going to
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: stay quiet. You know, I'm not a pushover. I'm not
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: going to be able to side with you if I
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: think you're completely wrong. And I'm going to give you
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: my opinion. I'm just not a soft-spoken person. So I
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: don't think she expects me to just side with her blindly.
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: I mean, maybe I'm not going to throw her under
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: the bus because that's horrible, but I'll definitely voice to
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: her like, I think you're wrong. And I also think
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: that makes a strong relationship and a strong friendship if
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: you're honest with your friend. And she understands how I
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: am and I understand how she is. I mean, she
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: didn't take my side at something on the reunion and
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: it wasn't major, but, you know, I'm not, I hang
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: out with her like every other day. I go to
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: her house and stuff. So I think it's, we're good.
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I love it.
- 1:20:45Speaker 4: Well, I thoroughly enjoy getting to know you. And I'm
- 1:20:49Speaker 4: so glad that you came on Juicy Scoop because I
- 1:20:52Speaker 4: always think those are my favorite kind of interviews is
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: when there's a new housewife and we just don't really
- 1:20:58Speaker 4: know the story and we can hear it directly like
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: in a long episode like this and get to really
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: know like your point of view and your background. And
- 1:21:06Speaker 4: thank you for being so open and honest and sharing everything.
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: And I do love the show. I think Miami is
- 1:21:12Speaker 4: so fun just as a city, as like a eighth character.
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: And I like all the girls. I think Marisol is hilarious.
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: I think they're all funny. I think Lisa's funny. I
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: think Kiki is great. You know, the one thing I
- 1:21:28Speaker 4: was going to say that I also appreciate you bringing
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: up is that, you know, your estrangement from.
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: Your sisters and.
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: I have an estrangement with family members as well, siblings,
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: and that I shared on this platform and on my Patreon.
- 1:21:43Speaker 4: And I think it's something that people immediately think is
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: like so weird and shocking unless you've lived it yourself.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: Once you live it and then you, you understand, like,
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: it's just, it's wild because like, it's not like we
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: don't want to make up. I'm sure you want to
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: fix it. It's just, sometimes it's like, you don't know
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: where to go, how, how to fix it. You know,
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: they think you're the bad one. You think they don't
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: understand you.
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: It's, And it's hard, too, when one person is at
- 1:22:09Speaker 4: a level of success and fame and money, and it's
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: always perceived as like, you know, oh, you think you're this,
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: or you didn't invite me, or it's never enough. It's
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: like when you realize, oh, well, that's not going to
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: be enough. If you gave them a small house to
- 1:22:25Speaker 4: live in, they'd be like, well, thanks. It might be
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: nice to have a pool in Miami.
- 1:22:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: You know, like whatever it is, you know, and I
- 1:22:33Speaker 4: think a lot of people can, and we even saw
- 1:22:35Speaker 4: it a little bit with Kiki talking about the, the,
- 1:22:38Speaker 4: her relatives in Haiti and how upset she was and,
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: you know, what a difficult situation that is. And I
- 1:22:44Speaker 4: thought that was like a really unique thing that I've
- 1:22:46Speaker 4: never seen talked about on TV. And so I, I
- 1:22:51Speaker 4: do love the show for the, the different cultural aspect
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: of it. And, um, I think your show is like
- 1:22:56Speaker 4: very unique to the other franchises. And so, um, I
- 1:23:01Speaker 4: hope that you stay on and I hope that, you know,
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: all the girls, I think all the girls need to
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: say like so many times at an end of a season,
- 1:23:07Speaker 4: we're almost at the end of season. People will be like,
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: this person has to go. And I haven't really seen that.
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: I think you guys are like a really.
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: We're funny.
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: That's for sure. Yeah.
- 1:23:16Speaker 4: They're funny, cohesive and, and a lot of like deep
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: love and friendship there too.
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: Among the women.
- 1:23:24Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. For sure. I think it's good. I mean,
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: I'm glad that I tried it. I'm glad that I
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: ended up throwing myself in there. I'm not going to
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: say it's easy. Reality TV is very hard. Not only
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: is it time consuming, um, I'm strong person, but you know,
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: even if I had a social media following now being
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: picked up by the press, just for whatever reason, like,
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: it's like I've posted something and then it ends up
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: on like, you know, some article and I'm like, wait,
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: everything's misconstrued. Everything's just, that's been really tough on me.
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: That's been really hard. But, um, The girls are great.
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: And I think it was, it was fun. Wait till
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: you watch the reunion though. The reunion, I don't even know.
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: Like at one point I was like, I don't even
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: know like what to do with myself right now. It was,
- 1:24:02Speaker 3: it was wild.
- 1:24:04Speaker 4: Did you have a hard time choosing your dress and
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: hair and makeup and all that whole look?
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: I did.
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: I did.
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: Well, I did the hair. I did. I like to
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: do like a lot of different things. So that was fine.
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: Cause I've had the same glam team for 10 years.
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: So they're always with me. That was a little bit easier.
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: The dress, I had a hard time. I ended up
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: getting it designed by someone. Um, so.
- 1:24:22Speaker 4: I think that's smart because I always am like, you know,
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: they give you like a color palette or whatever, right,
- 1:24:27Speaker 4: that they want you to stick with. And then, but
- 1:24:29Speaker 4: I'm also like, you know, you're sitting for like eight hours.
- 1:24:33Speaker 4: So there's always like certain dresses where I'm like, okay,
- 1:24:37Speaker 4: you know, this, you've got to, if it was me,
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: I'm like, I'd want to kind of camouflage everything.
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: Any kind of tummy area, kind of like a squirt
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: of fat coming like underneath the armpit.
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: My short little arms.
- 1:24:49Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:24:49Speaker 4: But then like you want to show a leg and
- 1:24:50Speaker 4: a great shoe and you want to.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: Be somewhat comfortable.
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: And I think so many times people don't do the
- 1:24:56Speaker 4: whole sitting test before choosing. So I do think getting
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: a dress made would probably be the smartest thing. So
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: I'm excited to see The show. We'll tell everybody where
- 1:25:07Speaker 4: they can follow you if they aren't already.
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: The Steph Shojai on Instagram and TikTok. So they, my first,
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: my initial, what, Steph and then Shojai.
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: Steph with an F, right?
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: PH. Heather, you can't pronounce my last name.
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.
- 1:25:22Speaker 4: I always, because I have two friends that one spells
- 1:25:24Speaker 4: it with an F and one spells it with a PH.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: So I always like forget.
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: So it's S-T-E-P-H and then Shojai, it's S-H-O-J-A-E-E on Instagram.
- 1:25:36Speaker 3: But thank you so much for inviting me. And, you know,
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: I'm sure Derek will tell you and others that I
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: am not one to take podcasts and a lot of interviews.
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: I'm really exclusive about, like, what I take because I
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: don't want my– I don't want just an over– shadowing
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: one other one in another podcast. And so I'm very
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: happy that it was yours. Thank you for inviting me.
- 1:25:55Speaker 3: It was very fun. And I'm glad that you know,
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: you get to know a little bit more about me
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: and the world because right now they're all judging from
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: a couple minutes that they see on TV.
- 1:26:04Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I'm excited. I'm excited for the future and
- 1:26:06Speaker 4: the reunion. And thanks again for taking the time out
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: of your busy day. It was really fun to talk
- 1:26:10Speaker 4: to you.
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: Bye. Itching.
