- 5:32[SPEAKER_09]: uh... what else is going on oh i was just listening to something one of the council members sent it to me was from a guy named jumeca martin funny it's very funny uh... speaking in dialect he talks about the sixty one factory in recent events but i can't play it because there's too much naughty talking it
- 6:02[SPEAKER_09]: and you're not mature enough to listen to it.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_06]: But I don't know, yeah.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_09]: I sent it to a news junkie.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe he'll post it and you can listen to it there.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_09]: But it is kind of funny.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_09]: Who creates this stuff, you know?
- 6:17[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, you say, wow, yeah.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_09]: He's easy to do now.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_09]: Well, it's easier than it used to be.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_09]: But somebody had to create that with all the graphics behind or all that.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_09]: That thought was pretty good work.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you won't see it in the main street media.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_09]: No, sir.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_09]: They catch that person or knife on a stupid people down there mid-town towers and factory street.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_09]: He's still on the loose, but don't worry.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_09]: There's no threat.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_09]: Well, we still on the loose.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you know.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_09]: Anyway, 755, 1240, the phone number.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_09]: If you'd like to be on the air today, talk about things.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_09]: He's a man that knocks in the news.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_09]: Now, remember her, essentially killed a roommate over an Italy.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_09]: Did time, and then, and all got reversed, she got out.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_09]: She's 39 now.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_09]: Wow, 39.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_09]: And what else were we going on?
- 7:22[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, the height today is going to be 84 incidentally.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_09]: any of those flock cameras out here in water town where are they where they look that's a big thing a lot of people are jacking to them now but they were a big rage you know they well if it saves one life or whatever but uh... i don't know who's got him here they say the cops like him because they can find out where the wires and girlfriends are all day but uh... because they track license plates placed a place
- 8:01[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, so if you're at one place and then all of a sudden you're over at the, uh, I don't know the whole just motel or something like that, yeah, you know what the, the deal is that the dirty deed.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_09]: Uh, but I don't know.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_09]: I mean a lot of people also say they're invasive.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_09]: Unfair, it's big brothers, it's, or wellian, you know what that means.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_06]: You know what that means?
- 8:28[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_09]: used to be or well with standard reading in the schools, is it now or do they only have to read trans authors?
- 8:40[SPEAKER_09]: Some, you know, one of these things this debate, that guy who called in yesterday was interesting and I appreciate his point, he says, there's a half million people in NCAA sports, he claims only town of over trans, whatever that means, isn't like a cross dresser or whatever you think it means.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_09]: And if there's only 10, you can say it's not much a problem, unless it's, you know, happens to run into your daughter or something like that.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_09]: Now they want to bring this man dressed as a girl over from France to play tennis or to play basketball in the WNDA.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_06]: That's not a good idea.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_09]: So anyway, I don't know.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, who do we like, Martina Navarra to roll it?
- 9:25[SPEAKER_09]: Well, it was on the right side.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_09]: A lot of people are afraid to say anything, because if you say anything about this trans community, man, you'll be ostracized in heartbeat.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_09]: Whether you're in media or education or whatever.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_09]: So I don't really know.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, as far as the trans community, I don't know where it is, is it like in Dexter or something,
- 9:50[SPEAKER_09]: Is it over on the north side somewhere?
- 9:51[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_09]: They talk about the trans community.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_09]: I don't see it as a big deal.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_09]: 755, 1240, the phone number.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_09]: If you'd like to give us a call, to be on the show of shows.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_09]: Ah, boy.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_09]: Lots of things going on.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_09]: Not so it's going.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_09]: Somebody posted a picture of the starting of work on that TIN up in Clayton.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_09]: That's a, that'll be a good project.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_09]: As far as up in the St. Lawrence County, our WQTK 92.7 listeners, we invite you to call, we'd love to hear from people community leaders.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_09]: I see you.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_09]: There's going to be something out of ballot shortly up there to get rid of the village of Hammond.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, that's on 37.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_09]: No, not many people live in Hammond.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_09]: and nobody wants to run for the local offices yeah i mean we're gonna be in that point here at some point the future not right now but i don't know i hate to see things voted out of existence they lose their identity but some places have done that around the state you know hammond hammond new york that's a popular spot for speed traps too
- 11:21[SPEAKER_09]: 755, 1240, the phone number, if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_09]: Let's see if we've got any messages coming, some people.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_09]: Let's see.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_09]: Not sure what that is.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_09]: Anyway, this Jamaica Martin Facebook post.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_09]: Jamaica, like the country, Martin, like the normal spelling, two words.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_09]: We want to look it up, but he's got like 14,000 hits on his video, and I wish I could play it.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_09]: I think it would really give you a flavor for city of the future here, so you know, coming down Black River Parkway today, and if you look at that building, I know I mentioned this before, the one that the other one in front of it, the city tore it down.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_09]: That looks pretty nice.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, the upper floor is need a little face, you know, facelift, but I can see why they tore that down, I mean, or why they created the situation where, why you know, there's another thing.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_09]: I started to count some in the eyes, born last night.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_09]: And I don't know, a citizens allowed to talk to Council members now as a rule, but a run that by a Harris speech.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_09]: But anyway, he was telling him he had proposed two local laws, one of which is going to restrict.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_09]: All right, and follow the Council more, I guess, if you ever have a situation where there's a building in an all or a sudden one guy, one guy says, oh, this is an emergency and you have to take it down.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_09]: And by the way, you got an extra 300,000 to do it.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_09]: So, a councilman, I was born once to reign that in, and boy, they won't like that, they're already delaying his local law, they're slow walking up, you know, and then the attorney will be told, oh no, they don't want that, we don't want that, and it'll come down that way, because you get the opinion you pay for,
- 13:36[SPEAKER_09]: and the law firms worked for one man at simple as that the guy was signed to purchase order of order 755-1240 the phone number if he'd like to give us a call to be on the air today and any more homeless encampments out there you want to mention like I said I couldn't find anything on poplar street but if you have to go back in the woods I'll leave that for somebody else in the audience
- 14:05[SPEAKER_09]: i'm not interested all you do is get messed up your clothes get messed up and you get bit by things no no desire to do that no desire already uh... seven five five twelve forty the phone number if it like to be on the air and uh... you know
- 14:35[SPEAKER_09]: What about our Canadian listeners?
- 14:37[SPEAKER_09]: I know we have some.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_09]: I know there's some of you over there.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_09]: You know the same phone number 315755-1240.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_09]: We'd love to hear from a Canadian, maybe in press gotters, some places like that.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_09]: Hey, you know, I don't know.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_09]: A lot of Canadians like US media.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_09]: If their media isn't all that free over there, it's, you know,
- 15:06[SPEAKER_06]: Um, they got to play Ann Murray records all day there.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_06]: And I guess who.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, they're required to.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_09]: They have this local content thing of C. C. R. T. C. I was used to in force that I don't know if it's still due.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_09]: I don't want to listen to Ann Murray all day.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_09]: But after over there, it's one of the rules.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_09]: One of the rules.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_09]: 755, 1240, um, he is the phone number.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_09]: If
- 15:34[SPEAKER_09]: Where do you think a weed sales come out of farmers' markets?
- 15:38[SPEAKER_09]: You like that idea?
- 15:40[SPEAKER_09]: We're mainstreaming it.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_09]: More people are smoking weed than drinking alcohol.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_09]: Tough to quantify that, but I'll take the word for it.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_09]: And you wonder, like, they're bending over backwards and Albany to accommodate weed dealers.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_09]: I don't see why you just couldn't sell a joint in a jar or something.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_09]: in a liquor store or something or places like that or bars, you know, it's what people want.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_09]: But instead they create all these new stores with special interest groups running them and all of that.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_09]: So I don't know what to say about that.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_09]: Oh boy, 755, 1240, the phone number.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_09]: Let's see.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_09]: Soon he can't and has a new athletic communications assistant.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_09]: Wow, there you go.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_09]: That's something.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_09]: SLUS flag football for women.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_09]: That's good.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_09]: And I see Blake Gendobine as an open letter for NY21.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_09]: Am I supposed to read that?
- 16:53[SPEAKER_06]: I might take a look at it.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know, we haven't seen hypner hair of them.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_09]: You seem to be getting out around the district early on, but it's kind of like it may be, maybe it's a season of season up on the farm.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_09]: That's why.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_06]: Anyway, no, let's see.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_06]: Nothing else, okay.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_09]: Is it going to be one of those slow days?
- 17:28[SPEAKER_09]: Well, we'll have to see.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_09]: Why don't we take a break and then we'll be back with more news here listening to the hotline on a. I'm 1240 and on WQTK 92.7.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_09]: You right back.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_26]: You know what?
- 17:42[SPEAKER_26]: Life changes.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_26]: One day you need something sporty enough for Friday night, then suddenly you need room for a stroller.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_26]: Two kids, some dog, and approximately 900 pounds of hockey equipment.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_26]: A few years later, you're helping somebody move into college, taking the family on vacation, holding supplies for a weekend project.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_26]: That is the beauty of Honda.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_26]: They grow wishes.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_26]: The civic and accord make the everyday drives feel like anything but ordinary.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_26]: You need a little bit more room.

- 18:08[SPEAKER_26]: Give your versatility without feeling oversized.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_26]: And then, the Honda is getting a little bit bigger.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_26]: The pilot and Ina see are ready when your passenger list starts getting due to day cue.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_26]: In the ridge line, that's the Honda pickup truck.

- 19:36[SPEAKER_17]: What does he do?
- 19:38[SPEAKER_17]: Why is he everywhere?
- 19:40[SPEAKER_17]: You know the sad part, most business owners don't even realize their website is the punchline.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_17]: You know, while they're losing customers, their contact form is playing hide and seek, and their home page loads like it's powered by dial-up internet.

- 21:45[SPEAKER_09]: You know what your lead story is gonna be I'd love it.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know I wonder who'll be covering it for channel 7 Probably Lexi she would they'd send her over to me
- 22:04[SPEAKER_06]: But that'll be a base story.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_09]: I don't see any resolving it ahead of time, do you?
- 22:11[SPEAKER_09]: You know, the D.G.A., I mean, she's dug in on this.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_09]: A city, they're not gonna, they don't wanna back off.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_09]: They just want you to quietly admit to it, nothing will happen to you and that's that.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, Millie doesn't wanna do that.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_09]: You know, if he, I don't know if she is killed, show us the tapes.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_09]: I, again, I was talking to a councilman yesterday and he said, Did you see the tapes all the time?
- 22:47[SPEAKER_09]: I said, you did, didn't you?
- 22:48[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_06]: And he said, I said, is it a crime?
- 22:53[SPEAKER_09]: Well, it doesn't really look like it.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_09]: So, I don't know what to say about it.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_09]: Show the rest of us that tape.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_09]: But after doing it on air.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, in our country, we talk a lot about politics, but apparently politics is not bringing us any solutions.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_04]: I just wanted to ask you if you were a king of the world and you were able to propose a solution for our country.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_04]: What would be your number one solution to start with?
- 23:36[SPEAKER_04]: solution for the country I don't what particular problem well our our society where would you start I mean we we go back and forth and when I call some games where we go back and forth and we call each other names and we are against each other and we fight but where is the solution when do we start
- 24:06[SPEAKER_04]: sometimes it seems like politicians spray his money, they can't paint, and then they go to a legislative body, and then they just fight, and nothing gets accomplished.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_04]: So, um, I agree.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_04]: Why can't we think in terms of solutions rather than the rest of the games?
- 24:30[SPEAKER_04]: Like, where would you start?
- 24:32[SPEAKER_09]: Well, because the system is run by political operatives who have these cookie-cutters solutions to campaigns where you do this opposition research and then you find a quote from the other person and you run an ad with a fuzzy photo on it and you know you go back and forth like that or you argue over some ancillary issue like trans people in a lady's locker room.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_04]: I'm very aware of that and I'm very aware of the fact that we're at a stalemate.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_04]: But what is the solution?
- 25:06[SPEAKER_04]: Where would you start with bringing our country back?
- 25:12[SPEAKER_04]: We do have problems.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_04]: Now, how do we get democracy back?
- 25:17[SPEAKER_04]: How do we get problem solving back?
- 25:19[SPEAKER_04]: How do we make our country great again?
- 25:21[SPEAKER_04]: And not a place where people are calling each other names.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_04]: earned each other, where do we, we don't even know where to start, right, and, um, and, one thing, um, that I worked at, oh, maybe 15 years ago with Citizens United, getting money out of politics, and, um, as you're like me, you get all these solicitations for money
- 25:56[SPEAKER_09]: right and um that has really taken over but um well I agree you know it's like uh Rodney King said why can't we all get along I don't know because there's money to be made not getting along that's why and there's people who make a lot of money fanning the flames not me no I know I I am a student of history I love history I just went to the risk any um
- 26:22[SPEAKER_04]: battle fields, yesterday to commemorate something in our history, and what I've learned there are definite patterns, and the patterns are involved, follow the money, you've got it.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_04]: We had, you've got it, but this politics is a game, I just read, if I could pick one more minute, there's two types of control.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_04]: Well, and it is formal control, which is the law, and the other type of control is in formal.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_04]: We see it everywhere in the workplace in every place.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_04]: It's rumor, name calling, and that's up.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that's what's taken over our country.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I do, man.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_09]: I do.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_09]: And I do have a call.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_09]: I gotta say, but I appreciate your input.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_09]: I know.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_09]: But after noon here on the air,
- 27:21[SPEAKER_06]: Good afternoon, Mayor.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_06]: I'm calling a reference to the lady who called about seeing what your suggestion was to hold the country's problems.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_06]: Back when Ronald Reagan was president, Bill Clinton was president.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_06]: They had certain senators or Assemblymen that they could call and have them over to the White House and have a relaxing conversation.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_06]: come up with some ideas that might benefit the country and then they could go back and try to spread their ideas to their fellow congressmen and assemblymen and senators and all but that hasn't happened since Bill Clinton as far as I know and the Democrats don't want to it's like winning points
- 28:12[SPEAKER_06]: I don't want the Republicans to pass something that makes them look good and the Republicans don't want the Democrats to pass something that makes them look good, so it's almost like a war between the Republicans and the Democrats.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_09]: In part of it is, we, we, the media talk about the world as two sides of an aisle.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_09]: We always say, oh, that's Senator reached across the aisle.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_09]: Now in our lives that we lead day to day, there's no aisle.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_09]: We're just here and we got people we know and friends and co-workers and all that.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_09]: And I don't really,
- 28:53[SPEAKER_09]: You know, if I go into the front office and talk to the boss, I don't look at myself as reaching across the aisle, you're just having a conversation.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_09]: So that's the difference in those two worlds, Washington, all of me versus real world us.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 29:10[UNKNOWN]: Yep.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_09]: That's my theory, at least.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_09]: Well, it...
- 29:14[UNKNOWN]: Right.
- 29:14[UNKNOWN]: It takes some very intellectual people who are going to think fast.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you know, you're lucky because I am very intellectual.
- 29:27[UNKNOWN]: Yes, Jeff, you are.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_06]: You are very intellectual, I think you're very knowledgeable when it comes to politics and what's going around in the world.
- 29:38[UNKNOWN]: And I appreciate that, Jeff.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, well, thank you for calling.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_09]: Bye now.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you, Mr. Mayor.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_09]: Bye.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_09]: Glad to have him glad to have everybody here on the show of shows the hotline of Friday edition.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_06]: What is that temperature of everybody like?
- 29:53[SPEAKER_09]: Of course now we can look on your phone and see it.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_09]: You remember used to have to call up the time and temperature line on the phone?
- 30:00[SPEAKER_09]: Remember those days?
- 30:02[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_09]: Back when our phone numbers were sunset eight and all that, that was great.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_09]: And they used to have that thing on
- 30:11[SPEAKER_09]: People channel 10, there's a bunch of dials in the camera went back and forth and had the temperature and many DNA like so.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_09]: Those were the days, those were the days, oh, I was going to get the temperature for you.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_09]: Huh, there's something that was being nice, actually don't have your phone.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, good, come on, weather.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_09]: uh... eighty right now on our way to eighty one hmm the nice day and it looks like just cloudy skies all day something bad all right well live with that the farmers need a little dry weather so they say then what else is happening just trying to think of uh... things i read in the uh... media here
- 31:08[SPEAKER_09]: didn't really see a lot on the uh... blotter let's look at the one for yesterday maybe something we missed now just a little that yesterday was the later it didn't feed her animals and that kind of stuff and somebody different so oh here's a call would have to do here on the air
- 31:36[SPEAKER_03]: a couple of comments.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_03]: One of them is we've been talking a lot about e-bikes and what a pain in the neck they are.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_03]: And I looked in the paper yesterday and in the times files looking backward 50 years ago yesterday from August 6, 1976, legislation allow in the operation of moltads, motorized two-wheeled bicycles, has been signed by Governor
- 32:01[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, you're very young.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_03]: James Kaufland Malone of Elliott and Hutchins said that the legislation effective December 1st treats small peds with the speed of 17 miles or hour or less as a normal pedal driven bike.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_03]: They will do a not need registration license or insurance, and anyone over 16 may operate them.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_03]: faster than 17 miles an hour, but less than 30 miles an hour will require a driver's license, helmet, registration, and insurance.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_03]: Well, faster meltheads will be treated as a motor cycle.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_09]: Right, well, we have those now.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_09]: So, but it doesn't matter.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, people will, there was a bike today.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_09]: It was just a battle bike.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_09]: He came up right along my road traffic down
- 32:55[SPEAKER_09]: And, you know, even so fast, you can't see him coming.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_03]: No, you can't.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_03]: The pedal bikes, and they're all over, and it's like they think they have the privilege of the road, and they do not.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you hit him, and you're going to find out, you know, it's... Well, you hit him and you're going to find out, you know, it's... Well, you hit him and you're going to find out, you know, it's... Well, you hit him and you're going to find out, you know, it's... Well, you hit him and you're going to find out, you know, it's... Well, you hit him and you're going to find out, you know, it's... Well, you hit him and you're going to find out, you know, it's... Well, you hit him and you're going to find out, you know,
- 33:25[SPEAKER_03]: comment was I was thinking about the blue building on factory street uh-huh sixty-one and there's a building on high street also and i think the new building on west main street weren't they supposed to put social services offices in those buildings as an outreach to help people live there i don't know what the deal was was sixty-one when they re-opened it but i'm calling on uh... main street media to go inside and show us what it looks like
- 33:55[SPEAKER_03]: anybody really want to see it, but that's a question.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I mean, I know, but you know, it's one of these things.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_03]: Before they reopen, they went in and they showed a couple of the rooms and they showed the room.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_03]: You don't have a room.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I know, but they say it's smaller, but nobody cares.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_09]: They say it's drug-bealing around the clock, but it's a lot more and drugs is over effectively.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 34:18[UNKNOWN]: But these social services offices are in these solutions that they put forward before they
- 34:28[SPEAKER_09]: I have no idea, you mean there's some kind of supervision in there, I doubt it.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_09]: It doesn't make sense, none of them makes sense, it's up in some land, more greek than others.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_09]: No.
- 34:38[UNKNOWN]: You said yesterday.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, those were just my thoughts.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you.
- 34:44[UNKNOWN]: Yep.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_09]: Right now.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_09]: Nice lady.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I don't know, maybe some of the city brass could go down and invite themselves in the building and look around and tell us what it's all about.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_09]: dirty.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_09]: I don't want to be around that.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_06]: I was like, scummy people in.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_09]: 755, 1240.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, somebody texting what would I propose for a civil silent?
- 35:13[SPEAKER_09]: I have no idea.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_09]: You know, if you go on the part that's more downgiver side on the right side is crossing toward South
- 35:27[SPEAKER_09]: I could see, you know, something there, some kind of residential thing, but, you know, again, it costs a lot of money and it would be a beautiful view in any other city that you were the lotty does live, but not modern town.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_09]: So, I'm not sure what you could do with it.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_09]: You know, there's been all sorts of crazy proposals, but,
- 35:56[SPEAKER_09]: inevitably it comes down to money and then you've got, you know, you've got to be able to supervise it and isn't going to, you know, they say, well, put up whatever there, pickable all corners up, I don't know.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_09]: But are nice people going to go there?
- 36:12[SPEAKER_06]: It's a problem.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, they're not going to, they're going to go to the Y or something like that with a feel more at home.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_09]: So it's tough to do anything with
- 36:24[SPEAKER_09]: 755, 1240, the phone number and shall I say we'll be back with more in a moment.

- 40:33[SPEAKER_09]: Good afternoon here on the air.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, Jeff.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, what's the latest rumor?
- 40:39[SPEAKER_08]: Whatever on all that property by the St. Patrick's former Mercy Hospital site there, that's demolished site.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_08]: What's going to happen?
- 40:49[SPEAKER_08]: That's been demolished now for many years.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_08]: A decade.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_08]: One decade.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_08]: That's there.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_08]: And the grass grows.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_08]: I guess they pay the court corporation, I guess they pay the taxes, but if you heard anything, you know what's going on there?
- 41:06[SPEAKER_09]: No idea.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I assume it was on the market last night in New Zealand.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_09]: It is a good piece of land, it seems, but I don't know who's got that kind of money.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_09]: No, I don't.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's a nice location, location, it's a great location, it's a lot of land there because it's on both sides of the street there, the store, those other houses down, those residential homes to make room for parking or whatever, and there's a lot of land there for somebody.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_08]: Good work, have a good weekend, we'll see you on the radio.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_09]: It was an interesting story and you don't know really what it is.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_09]: But it's in the mainstream media, so I guess it must be true.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_09]: But it says that federal appeals court blocked further construction of the new White House ballroom ruling that the mass of project was first
- 42:17[SPEAKER_09]: A panel of DC circuit judges determined that Congress has exclusive authority to regulate the construction and demolition of White House structures.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_09]: We are aware of no instance in American history in which a president unilaterally and using privately collected funds demolished substantial portions of the building.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_09]: That may be true.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, the funny, well, funny, I mean, if you look at that thing, there's been a lot of work done, and that goes so way down in the ground, too, because it's security rooms and all that.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_09]: So, you know, if you're going to stop construction, it's going to look kind of funny for a while.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_06]: That looks like, you know, to me, it looks like it was one of those.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_09]: I'll do it and ask for permission later.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_09]: They project, but most of
- 43:12[SPEAKER_09]: put a ballroom on your house without seeking some kind of approval.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_09]: Well, let's see, what's going on here?
- 43:23[SPEAKER_09]: Anything else on here?
- 43:23[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, we got a call.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_09]: Good afternoon around the air.
- 43:27[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, hello.
- 43:28[UNKNOWN]: The solution.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_21]: I think for schools, the schools island there would be put a casino alter.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_05]: You say you could make a lot of money.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_09]: OK.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_09]: All right, thank you.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_09]: That's a suggestion, but a lot of times people say, why don't you put a casino there or put a wagments there or put this there?
- 43:47[SPEAKER_09]: Wait a minute, somebody's got to pay for all that.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_09]: The city can't just put a casino there.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know how much it would draw, really.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_09]: I think we're a little overdone with that in New York.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_09]: It's too bad you can't have.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I don't know if I really have any, I haven't, I think I was in turning stone once and I was in point place once and you know, the bigger casinos with all the people sitting, I'm not into that whole scene, I think a lot of people were just like, just like to play, you know, you know, like in Vegas, they've got the, you know, the video slots or something right, you know, set into the bar and you can just sit there and yeah, something like that or
- 44:30[SPEAKER_09]: Um, slot machine today's style slot machine.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_09]: We, you know, we see a place that has that out in the town, but I think that should be allowed everywhere.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I'm thinking of getting a couple of them.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_09]: They're not that expensive.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_09]: They're not that pricey.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_09]: Really.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, and then put them in the basement and, you know, let select people go down.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_06]: All of that.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_06]: So I think it'd be quite an attraction.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_09]: Remember we used to be able to have, I remember everybody had sign-in pools and it rolled the dice and I was like 50 cents or a buck it was no big deal.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_09]: Of course now you can lose as much as you want on lottery games, that's okay I hear.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_09]: Queen of Hearts drawings are everything like that, but you can't put 50 cents into a sign-in pool anymore.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, there are places that still do it.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_09]: But steak gets real exercise, don't worry about that, oh my god, yeah.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_09]: But that's what we need more of.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, there's a couple of slots in a corner bar, something like that, or a favorite restaurant, and people would play them.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_06]: Now we say there used to be a lot of card games down at Benny's late at night.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_09]: I don't think there's anything wrong with that either.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_06]: Well, the government gets under high horse when they wider.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_09]: But otherwise, a lot of times they look the other way.

- 50:04[SPEAKER_09]: you know we were mentioning uh... folks up north there if our good friend run McDougall marmicdougall of uh... governor wants to be on more than happy to have you come down uh... people love to hear from and you're very insightful on politics very insightful uh... same thing with these candidates at least at element is that a name
- 50:31[SPEAKER_09]: running in N.Y. 24 against a body of tanny and I say that would never disrespect towards the lady she won the Democratic primary so congratulations but no outreach to media so she doesn't if she wants to come in and beyond she can no problem but she doesn't want assuming she does it at this point that's fine too
- 51:02[SPEAKER_09]: Times talk show host or whatever, like to flatter themselves, I say, oh, I can't I don't want to come on, don't come on.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_09]: But if you do it, you're more than welcome, it's that simple, that simple.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_09]: So 755-1240, if you want to be on the air, okay?
- 51:31[SPEAKER_09]: about ten minutes left lots of time to talk before we head into the week what he got planned for the weekend i mean the weather has been so good if this isn't picked in island weather nothing years i was looking at that uh... looking at up and i found the picture that started the hotline fascination with picked in island and it was one that uh... sky gray got less and sent to me in july of twenty twenty
- 52:01[SPEAKER_09]: And it showed some, well, whatever, the bumping grind and all of that, you know, people's scantly quads and all that, so it was fun.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_09]: So anyway, that's when we, and then other people filled me in on it.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_09]: And that's when the whole legend defect in Ireland came to the airways.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_09]: So it was six years ago this summer, and I hope you enjoy it.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know, can the public just go there?
- 52:33[SPEAKER_06]: I guess, well, it's a private island, I think.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_09]: Because I think some really famous, rich and famous people live there.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_09]: Well, it's a really famous, you know, not like that.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_09]: But most of the activity that goes on goes on between Pecton and is it grindstone?
- 52:55[SPEAKER_09]: Sort of a shielded area, I guess.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_09]: And that's where the bumping grind didn't, all of that stuff go on.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_09]: But I wouldn't recommend it for if you are.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_09]: Well, if you're like married or something, you can get in a lot of trouble there.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_09]: So be careful.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_09]: Be careful.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_09]: But I, day like this.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, my God.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_09]: It must be something.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_09]: And if you want to send us more pictures, go ahead.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_09]: We'd like to see if people look different six years later.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_09]: It might be the same people who go there, you never know.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_09]: You know, it is kind of a ritual up there.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_09]: And there's other little nuts and crannies on the St. Lawrence where people do stuff.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_09]: Did you see that thing down at Weskits Beach?
- 53:48[SPEAKER_09]: Not Weskits' southways.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_09]: That's down near the county line.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_09]: pass west west gets in 2.1 million dollar project report that they build a nice walkway down a really looks nice now i don't know if that beaches open it used to always be the you know it's a real nice beach kind of secluded not as busy in the big story back oh yeah on the seventies and maybe you remember maybe you don't
- 54:17[SPEAKER_09]: I was talking to a friend, there was a little younger than I am, and she said, no woman, no man we have it.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_09]: But they used to always talk, oh, there's a nude beach down there, really.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_09]: I never really took the time to go down.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_09]: I have been there once, but I don't know.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_09]: Is that true?
- 54:35[SPEAKER_09]: I think it was even listed on some kind of, you know, registry on the internet of,
- 54:45[SPEAKER_06]: newed beaches.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_06]: So, maybe it is true.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_09]: I think we could probably look that up, couldn't we?
- 54:54[SPEAKER_09]: Got a couple of minutes left here.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_09]: I'll do that.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you're thinking about what you want to say on here, but is there anybody else who remembers that rumor?
- 55:02[SPEAKER_09]: It was always talked about it.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_09]: And I don't know if it's anything younger generation talks about now.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_09]: But maybe they do.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, Southward Beach should not put an NY after it.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_09]: See if there's anything in there.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_09]: According to officials, this beach is no more closed, optional.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_09]: Ideal.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, it's ideal for nude bathing and nudity.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_09]: It's common on the remote southern beaches.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_09]: Right, that's on nudist compass.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_09]: the first thing it came up.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_09]: Well, there you go!
- 55:55[SPEAKER_09]: There are no officially designated nudist speeches in New York.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_09]: But there are areas known unofficially for clothing optional.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_06]: I guess that's one of them.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_09]: And here's another one on Reddit, due to he is not directly allowed, but it's a very secluded area, rarely ever patrolled.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_09]: Well, this is, here's one from 2018, southworks, you know, give some instructions.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_09]: Well, there you go, and after you're done, you can go over to,
- 56:39[SPEAKER_06]: Carbone's water side and I had to send harbour and with your clothes on I hope oh my god.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_06]: Oh my god But yeah, I don't know.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_09]: I guess there is Some of that goes on and sick-looted section Nobody out there who has any you sure that was I heard that so many times Because I mean most people most of us and
- 57:07[SPEAKER_09]: high school college age, you know, you went to Wesker, he'd get to when all of that stuff.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_06]: Didn't bother making the extra drive down there.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_09]: But if there's anybody who lives down that way and has any stories to tell, he was a holler, 755, 1240.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_09]: Now, you know, that's kind of a touchy area now.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_09]: It's a little more, you know, just new to the end of itself, not necessarily wrong.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_06]: But only if it's done in a lude with a serious, for mischievous way, in other words, if you're projecting, if you're doing it, for shock value.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_09]: But if it's just casual, I guess it's okay.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_09]: And then I know we were always worried that somebody might test that law up in Thompson Park.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_09]: Thank God, nobody ever did.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_09]: Thank God.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_09]: Hey, just see where the Thomson Park golf course, under the leadership of Mr.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_09]: Fallen there, the golfers are water town.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_09]: They did well with that promotional thing, golf buddies or something, it's a national thing that, you know, you give discount cards, I don't know, anyway, they got new players, and they're also doing advertising on TV.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_09]: And I don't know why they're doing all that if they're stated goal is to close it, which is what they've said.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_09]: I don't believe it'll happen, but I think it'll be a lot of big plans for next year.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_09]: But after noon you're on the air.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's called a big plan to confirm one last week, by Senator Cricaciti from the late Vienna.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_05]: No, I have one.
- 58:59[UNKNOWN]: Celsky, McCouskin, Colin, Paul Spolder than McCous.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_05]: Mitch McConnell was no vote so he made he shouldn't do and the country is going to re-quit that long term in my prediction so did the vice president have to be there because if they lost three I think he'd have to be there right yeah he's probably lined up to move but the cash he came through yeah but they actually made the vote I don't think they voted yet that was a vote well okay that was a confirmation but uh
- 59:34[SPEAKER_09]: he's going to be in the country's going to regret it's way to save all right our way yes the worst is you have to go thanks to Andy you too by now and that's our show Glenn Curry should be in at five o'clock today with the live at five show you're listening to the hotline on the community broadcast to stations WQTK 92.7 itemsberg and AM 1240 WATN right here in water town the time
