- 1:09So guys, as you can tell, There's some minor adjustments
- 1:12going on right now behind the scenes with my camera setups and
- 1:15stuff like that. I've got new microphones and you
- 1:17cameras new lights and things like that.
- 1:18So we're kicking off the year with some totally awesome do
- 1:22penis. And yeah, I'm super pumped about
- 1:25it. So that brings me to this video.
- 1:27This video, the reason I jump is a book written by a an autistic
- 1:32person and how they experienced life, right.
- 1:36And the guys name is is I can't read for buggery because I'm
- 1:40dyslexic. So I will leave a link for the
- 1:42reason I jump down below, but is a very famous book, it's
- 1:44actually a best-seller. It's one of the most interesting
- 1:47insights into autism. You know, from written verbal
- 1:50point of view, and so, it goes from a nonverbal, autistic
- 1:52persons mind how they experience things, which is just golden
- 1:56because this opportunity was never a thing.
- 1:58Nobody could understand, you know, what, does a person who
- 2:00can't talk experience, you know, through life with like autism
- 2:04and stuff. And this, this this book was so
- 2:08inspirational, it's actually handed out as a Material in
- 2:12universities. So when my girlfriend was doing
- 2:14her degree in childhood, studies, and development in
- 2:16autism, this is one of the books that I recommend it.
- 2:18Now, green tea, guys, if you don't have green tea in your
- 2:22life, you're missing out and this is decaf because make it
- 2:24each day, I don't actually have caffeine but yeah you're missing
- 2:27out my knees, get yourself some from green tea, it's just
- 2:30awesome. So the reason I jump, yeah, the
- 2:32book was so inspirational, that my girlfriend, when she finished
- 2:35her degree, we actually went out and bought the the updated
- 2:38version of the book, like the new on.
- 2:39She's got it, we had it for years.
- 2:40Its In the house somewhere because it's just so
- 2:42inspirational and it's such an insightful book.
- 2:45Now people have been asking for years why isn't having you know
- 2:47a movie made about this or more information made on it and
- 2:50rightfully? So when something is so good,
- 2:52why not make more movies on it. You know, we've seen how many
- 2:54Twilight movies. How many joking Edge if you like
- 2:57Twilight? That's cool.
- 2:57I've actually seen every single one as well.
- 2:59I'm not a huge Twilight found out.
- 3:00My girlfriend was all is, anyway, that's beside the point
- 3:04ADHD. So, in terms of this movie, The
- 3:07reason I jump has been made into a movie.
- 3:09Now, I watched the trailer which Have linked down below for you
- 3:12guys to check out because I wanted you to see it as well.
- 3:14The movies gonna be released this year 2021 and everything
- 3:17watching this in stock 2021. The movies are already out, but
- 3:21basically the idea of the movie is that it's it kind of follows
- 3:24that it like there's a narrative, like there's no
- 3:26narrator talking about the book and and the chapters of the book
- 3:29and going through all the stuff and what is experiencing and how
- 3:32that impacts is life and things like that and it kind of moves
- 3:35through the book from what I can tell from this trailer but also
- 3:39it's almost like a documentary Freestyle where they're
- 3:42interviewing families like parents and caregivers of people
- 3:45on the Spectrum and having their input and their stories and from
- 3:48their side. And seeing how they struggled,
- 3:50and thought, you know what I'm doing?
- 3:51Is the best for my kid. When.
- 3:53In actual fact, it probably the worst thing for their kids
- 3:54because they didn't know, you know, the if you have a
- 3:56nonverbal child who can't tell you, you know how something is
- 3:59impacting their life, how do you expect to fix something?
- 4:02If you can't talk to them to understand that this is going to
- 4:04be to me, this is like a groundbreaking eye-opener.
- 4:08I mean, we've had films, you know, the one that I did a video
- 4:10about See a doing this. Movie about salon on the Autism
- 4:13Spectrum, which complete like a fantasy film and I will leave a
- 4:19link in the pin comment so you guys can go check out my
- 4:22thoughts on to sear the the singer and have autism Movie
- 4:27music. It's called there's a lot to say
- 4:29about it. But in terms of that, you know,
- 4:31we've had different movies coming out and I've done a bunch
- 4:33of different videos talking about like how autism and movies
- 4:35needs to be better represented and more movies on the subject.
- 4:37Need to come out and stuff like that.
- 4:39But having something like this, which it's kind of like it's a
- 4:42real life story told through a narrator and then the other side
- 4:45you have this kind of like parallel of different parents
- 4:49and children being, you know, brought up on the autism
- 4:51spectrum with issues and parents trying to understand and figure
- 4:54that out. I think it's such a nice kind of
- 4:57like collaboration between the two that it's going to give him
- 5:00some real good education. I mean, at the very least,
- 5:05people going to be like, whoa, you know, I get it.
- 5:07I totally get it now. The movie is far as I'm aware,
- 5:09is out this year. I don't really Actually State
- 5:11because if I just come across the, the trailer last night and
- 5:14I really wanted to kind of talk to you guys about it.
- 5:17I know the trailer came out in like December, I think, or even
- 5:19October but it's been taking me this while to kind of watch it.
- 5:24Analyze it and have my thoughts on it.
- 5:26I think that it's great. I hope that it doesn't show
- 5:29autism parents in a bad light because I know it's one thing
- 5:31that I kind of worry about because autism parents do get a
- 5:33bad rep and people like, you know, awesome parents that you
- 5:36just like, you know, they're kind of like the joke of
- 5:39everyone in the Austin Community.
- 5:41No, you're awesome. Parents are certainly other and
- 5:42I do think it awesome. Parents are doing a great job
- 5:45and they do not have a job as a difficult job, you know, and
- 5:47they're living that day in day out.
- 5:48And I just wanted to kind of hopefully I salute them for
- 5:51doing doing the best they can. Hopefully doesn't give them a
- 5:53bad light because I love my officers and parents that, you
- 5:57know, might here in the house, we will gang.
- 5:59You know, heads up, if you're a subscriber, you going to click
- 6:01that link and say done thumbs up, thumbs up on this video.
- 6:05If you're a parent taking care of somebody on the autism
- 6:07spectrum, you're awesome. And yeah, I'm just hoping up a
- 6:10film because of fair. Like in an easy kind of balance,
- 6:12all those things. Now, I'm excited about the
- 6:14movie. I'm, I'm apprehensions about it
- 6:17as well, and if it's already out, then, I'm sorry and you
- 6:21guys have already seen it. And I have no idea I'm talking
- 6:23about. But anyway, guys, if you have
