Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: One question I hear all the time is, can this really work if we're not meeting in person?
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: And I understand why people ask that, but here's what I want you to think about.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: If you're dealing with chronic diarrhea, urgency bloating or food reactions, chances are you've already tried in-person care.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: You've sat in the office, you've told someone about your symptoms, you've had an exam, you've done all the basic labs, you've probably had the colonoscopy, maybe several of them.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: And after all that, you were still told everything looked normal, but you still don't feel normal.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: So the issue probably isn't that you haven't been in the same room with someone.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: The issue is that nobody has looked at the right things yet.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: When someone asks me if they need to be seen in person, what they're usually asking is, how do I know this is real?
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: And that's a fair question.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Because if you've already spent years trying doctors, diets, medications, supplements, food lists, and everything else, you don't want another guess.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: You want to know that there's an actual process.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: So let's talk about what usually happens in a traditional GI doctor visit.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: Your doctor may ask you about your symptoms.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: They might press on your abdomen, feel around a little bit, they'll probably order some blood work, they'll have you do a colonoscopy, possibly an endoscopy, and those tools matter.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: A colonoscopy is very important for ruling out things like polyps, bleeding, ulcers, tumors, visible inflammation.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: But here's where a lot of people get stuck.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: If the colonoscopy comes back normal, they're often told, good news, everything looks great in there, but they don't feel great.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: They're still running to the bathroom constantly, they're afraid to eat, they're bloated, they've got cramping and pain, they're still planning their day around a gut that's not behaving well.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: A lot of what drives chronic diarrhea, urgency bloating, food reactions does not always show up on a scope.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: You can't see bacterial imbalance with a camera.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: You can't always see missing beneficial bacteria, and you can't see yeast, parasites, inflammation markers, digestive function, or how well the gut environment is actually working.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Those are not things we can find just by looking at you in an office.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Those are things that we need to test for.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: So virtual care works because the most important part of this process is the data.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: And it's not about sitting in the same room together for a 15-minute evaluation.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: It's about actually looking at what's happening inside your gut, the important parts.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: So here's what the process looks like.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: First, the test kit gets mailed to your home.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: You do the collection at home, in your own bathroom, on your own time, not a waiting room.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: You don't have to put on a gown, you don't have to rush across town, you don't have to take half a day off work for a short appointment.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: Then the sample just gets dropped in the mail and it goes back to the lab.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: This is where we're looking at the gut in a much deeper way.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Depending on the case, we might be looking at things like beneficial bacteria, harmful bacteria, yeast, parasites, worms, inflammation, gut lining markers, short chain fatty acids, enzymes, your digestive function, how well your body's breaking down and absorbing food.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Then when the results come back, we meet virtually and we walk through these results together.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: I don't just hand you a report and say good luck.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: We explain what we found.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: I show you what actually matters.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: I connect it back to your symptoms.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Then we build a plan based on your actual results.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: That's the part so many people have never had before.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: They've had appointments, they've had opinions, they've had food lists, they've had medications, but they haven't had someone sit down and say, here is what your gut is showing us, here is exactly what's wrong in there, and here is why that may be connected to how crappy you're feeling.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: That can absolutely happen virtually because we are still face to face, we're still talking through your history, we're still looking at your results together, and we're still adjusting your plan as your body responds.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: The only thing missing is the waiting room.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: This is for the person who has already done the basic route and they still don't have answers.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: If you've seen someone local, if you've already tried changing your diet, you've maybe been told it's IBS, stress, anxiety, or just something you have to live with.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: And deep down you know there has to be more to the story, that is who this is for.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: It's for someone who is ready to stop guessing and actually look at the gut environment from a deeper level.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: Because I want to be clear, I'm not against in-person care.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: There are times when you absolutely need a doctor in person.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: There are times when scopes, imaging, physical exams, medications might be important.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: But if you've already done all that and you're still being told everything looks normal while your life keeps getting smaller, then it may be time to look somewhere else.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Not because virtual care is less real, but because the right testing and the right process can absolutely be done from wherever you are.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: So if you've been wondering whether this can work online, I hope this helped.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: The answer is yes.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: If this is the right fit for your case, the next step is to book a call with my team.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: We'll talk through what you've been dealing with, what you've already tried, what kind of testing you've already had, and whether advanced stool testing makes sense for you.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: No pressure, just an honest conversation about whether this is the right step for both of us.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: The link to book is below.
