- 0:13Speaker 1: What's up, my loves It's La La Kent's with Randall
- 0:16Speaker 1: and we are back at it.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Wow, I got to say something.
- 0:20Speaker 3: I mean, last week's episode, I was excited just because
- 0:25Speaker 3: the whole astrology thing, the fact that I got bad ankles.
- 0:28Speaker 3: I'd be all, that was cool because I had no idea.
- 0:30Speaker 3: How could you even know that? But I had no
- 0:32Speaker 3: idea that just talking amongst friends would blow up into
- 0:37Speaker 3: this huge, you know, media storm about the relationship. Although
- 0:43Speaker 3: I mean, I guess just so I've been around it.
- 0:46Speaker 3: But it was pretty it was pretty interesting.
- 0:48Speaker 4: Wait, you had no idea that it would turn into
- 0:50Speaker 4: a media storm.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I did. They've never done like an interview, They've been photographed,
- 0:54Speaker 1: and I made like, I asked Megan beforehand, are there
- 0:56Speaker 1: things like that? You? I always want to make sure
- 1:00Speaker 1: guests feel safe when they come on the podcast. We're
- 1:02Speaker 1: not here to like spill tea that you don't want spilled.
- 1:05Speaker 1: We're not messy like that. And so I just asked
- 1:08Speaker 1: simple questions.
- 1:09Speaker 2: And you don't want to spill tea on them while
- 1:11Speaker 2: they're sitting there.
- 1:12Speaker 4: No, I just like, I don't want to be.
- 1:15Speaker 2: God.
- 1:16Speaker 4: You're such a dad joke.
- 1:18Speaker 2: You're such a dad joy that went right over your head.
- 1:21Speaker 2: The tea flew right over your head.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Dad jokes tend to go over my head.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Yeah, well you know I could show them high level jokes.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Well that's sad.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Okay, moving on, But I agree with you, meaning I
- 1:31Speaker 3: agree with you that No, the answer is, I did
- 1:33Speaker 3: not know that this would turn into that, because the
- 1:37Speaker 3: thing is everybody it was that count out of the
- 1:39Speaker 3: bag and it was like it was already everywhere. I
- 1:41Speaker 3: didn't think it would be like the pinnacle of interviews
- 1:43Speaker 3: with them, like we're sitting down with the new couple.
- 1:45Speaker 2: It wasn't like that.
- 1:46Speaker 3: It was about astrology and that us.
- 1:48Speaker 2: That's my take. So it's exciting.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yes, So for those of you who are just tuning
- 1:54Speaker 1: into the Give Them All with Random podcast, Randal and
- 1:56Speaker 1: I are talking about last week's episode where we had.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Megan Fox a machine nun Kelly, who are a couple now.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Correct, and they spilled some epicity along with like how
- 2:07Speaker 1: they it came to be, But it was it was
- 2:10Speaker 1: more of how they came to be. It was like
- 2:12Speaker 1: how the universe impacted their relationship.
- 2:15Speaker 3: But don't you but you have to admit, like you
- 2:17Speaker 3: like I didn't. I've been around them for months now,
- 2:21Speaker 3: six months, and you've spent a lot of time with them,
- 2:23Speaker 3: with vacation with them. I did not think that it
- 2:27Speaker 3: went I mean, I think it was even too deep
- 2:29Speaker 3: for me. I mean I think I was just like
- 2:32Speaker 3: like the twin flame split in half thing. They lost me.
- 2:36Speaker 3: But they're deep, They're they're like they're in it deep.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Amazing.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I love it. And by the way, they're very
- 2:41Speaker 3: close friends of mine. I know I say that a
- 2:43Speaker 3: lot a lot of guests, but I do bring a
- 2:45Speaker 3: lot of my friends on these things and your friends,
- 2:47Speaker 3: and it was really special to see people really happy.
- 2:50Speaker 3: So that's all I'm going to say about that. And
- 2:52Speaker 3: now I'm going to move on to something I would
- 2:55Speaker 3: like to talk about.
- 2:56Speaker 1: So, I with everything that's been going going on, and
- 3:00Speaker 1: I've been very open about my sobriety and you know,
- 3:04Speaker 1: my issues with mental health and things like that.
- 3:07Speaker 4: And I won't say who did this.
- 3:10Speaker 1: But you know, I'm talking about the Kanye West issue
- 3:14Speaker 1: and him being bipolar and how people are it's a
- 3:17Speaker 1: media frenzy, give.
- 3:18Speaker 2: It hold on.
- 3:18Speaker 3: So for somebody like me who's not as cool or
- 3:21Speaker 3: in the know, I've seen some things on the internet.
- 3:24Speaker 3: So basically, what is going on is Kanye and Kim
- 3:27Speaker 3: have been having issues. Kanye is running for president, but
- 3:32Speaker 3: that's not for real. The running for president was front
- 3:34Speaker 3: because I don't know.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Just explain to me.
- 3:36Speaker 4: The thing is is like, I'm not super in the
- 3:38Speaker 4: know either.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Yes you are, well, yes you are.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Who knows if Kim k and Kanye West were doing great.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Let's just assume they were, Okay. Kanye said he was
- 3:48Speaker 1: running for president, all things good whatever.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Okay, Then he's so he really is running for I'm
- 3:54Speaker 3: asking that's why I don't.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Know, Well, no one knows, okay.
- 3:57Speaker 3: So he said he's running for president, but we we
- 4:00Speaker 3: don't know if that's one hundred percent ballid or not.
- 4:02Speaker 2: But he's announced he's running for president, right, But then.
- 4:05Speaker 4: He did a rally.
- 4:06Speaker 1: He went and did this rally, which I believe was
- 4:09Speaker 1: a rally for like Kanye twenty whatever.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Okay, so he's running for president.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And he mentioned that North his child with Kim Kardashian
- 4:20Speaker 1: he wanted to abort the kid, okay, and just was
- 4:24Speaker 1: telling some very intimate personal things, okay.
- 4:27Speaker 2: And at a rally, at a rally, rally running for.
- 4:29Speaker 1: President correct and Okay, basically after that, Kim was not
- 4:34Speaker 1: happy and you know, the latest statement, and.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Then she made a statement regarding his statement at a rally,
- 4:44Speaker 3: so clearly she's unhappy he's saying things about their personal
- 4:47Speaker 3: life that she has at one out there, and now
- 4:50Speaker 3: the relationship is.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It's I mean, I think I think if Kanye were
- 4:55Speaker 1: just an asshole, she would be like undone with this motherfucker.
- 4:59Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, he's been diagnosed
- 5:01Speaker 1: as bipolar. So he was having an episode and he
- 5:05Speaker 1: went on to Twitter after this rally and was having
- 5:08Speaker 1: an episode, and.
- 5:10Speaker 2: As he come out and said anything in.
- 5:12Speaker 1: That version, he made a statement about how sorry he
- 5:16Speaker 1: was to his wife Kim and how she's always had
- 5:18Speaker 1: his back and she's oh love of his life. And
- 5:23Speaker 1: you know, for me, I've always been someone who I
- 5:26Speaker 1: don't take mental health lightly lightly. One of my cast
- 5:31Speaker 1: members at the reunion, when I was having an emotional
- 5:35Speaker 1: thing happened, made a comment that I might be both bipolar.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I don't think that it's something that should just be
- 5:40Speaker 1: thrown out there. I think it's gross, right.
- 5:43Speaker 3: And by the way, and with regards to mental health,
- 5:46Speaker 3: you know, I'm forty nine years old. I've been around
- 5:49Speaker 3: a long time now, and I've you know, had family
- 5:53Speaker 3: who have had bipolar. You know, my grandmother was bipolar.
- 5:57Speaker 3: My you know, other family members of my family have
- 6:02Speaker 3: serious health issues in the same you know, with similar
- 6:06Speaker 3: bipolar issues.
- 6:07Speaker 2: And it is it is not to be taken lightly.
- 6:09Speaker 2: It is.
- 6:10Speaker 3: It's incredibly challenging. And you you know, when you have
- 6:13Speaker 3: a family member you love, or a friend that you love,
- 6:16Speaker 3: or whoever it may be, you know, dealing with pipolar
- 6:19Speaker 3: and getting that person to a stable functioning right.
- 6:23Speaker 2: You know.
- 6:23Speaker 3: And I had I had a a family member who,
- 6:31Speaker 3: when they did not take their medication right, would lock
- 6:36Speaker 3: themselves in their office for weeks at a time, blow
- 6:41Speaker 3: through all their money, you know, do very manic type things,
- 6:44Speaker 3: and and it was very very hard for our family.
- 6:47Speaker 3: And we always supported and always rallied and always encouraged.
- 6:51Speaker 3: But you know, you do the best you can, but
- 6:53Speaker 3: you also want to be there for them. And sometimes
- 6:56Speaker 3: they won't take the help. They have no interest because
- 6:59Speaker 3: they're in that app episode or they're not taking their medication.
- 7:02Speaker 2: That does help them.
- 7:03Speaker 3: And I've dealt with that firsthand, and it's it's uh,
- 7:08Speaker 3: it could be really really tough. So having said that,
- 7:11Speaker 3: not getting off course, I can understand if this is what,
- 7:14Speaker 3: if that's what it is, bipolar.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Well, he's been diagnosed as having bipolar disorder by a doctor.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Okay, And for me, there's such a have they.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Ever come out?
- 7:24Speaker 3: Have they ever come out, because I again I don't
- 7:26Speaker 3: know this. Have they ever come out as a couple
- 7:28Speaker 3: and said he's bipolar?
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yes? Oh, he said, talk about it all the time.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't know that his new album is titled
- 7:35Speaker 1: I Believe, or like his most recent is.
- 7:38Speaker 4: I'm Bipolar It's awesome or like something.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Okay, so this is obviously no, it's very much a
- 7:44Speaker 1: known thing.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Okay, got it. Okay, I was just a numb and
- 7:46Speaker 2: again I'm not in the numb right.
- 7:48Speaker 1: And for me to look at that and see so
- 7:52Speaker 1: many people commenting or making memes, it's just I get
- 7:56Speaker 1: that we live in a society where there's a lot
- 7:58Speaker 1: of things that happen and we make light of them
- 8:01Speaker 1: and we try to create comedy out of them. At
- 8:03Speaker 1: the end of the day, you know, throwing throwing a
- 8:07Speaker 1: word out like oh, you must be bipolar is not cool.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You making fun of someone who's having ups and downs
- 8:13Speaker 1: is not cool.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Well that's but that's not even it's heartbreaking. And if
- 8:18Speaker 3: you've experienced it firsthand or watch somebody like you're watching somebody,
- 8:23Speaker 3: as you're saying in the media, that's very hard to
- 8:25Speaker 3: see that because you're seeing somebody that's in need of help,
- 8:29Speaker 3: and a lot of lives are ruined, families are broken
- 8:34Speaker 3: over this. If it's not If it's not so, I
- 8:37Speaker 3: don't think it's funny at all, And clearly whoever is making.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Fun of is I don't think it's I just don't
- 8:42Speaker 2: think it's a funny.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Social media is about.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Social media is about wanting to know the ins and
- 8:47Speaker 1: outs of everyone's life. And I think just because this family,
- 8:51Speaker 1: the Kardashian family, who's had a reality show much larger
- 8:55Speaker 1: than the one I'm on, but there are things that
- 8:59Speaker 1: still should remain private, and so it's hard to watch
- 9:03Speaker 1: someone like Kanye have this episode of By.
- 9:07Speaker 3: The way, Kanye West, even though I'm not in the know,
- 9:10Speaker 3: I do know and respect Kanye West is one of
- 9:14Speaker 3: the greatest musical artists, businessman.
- 9:18Speaker 2: And pioneers of so many different industries and.
- 9:22Speaker 4: That should never be discredited.
- 9:24Speaker 3: No, I mean he's just but I mean, this is
- 9:25Speaker 3: just the guy that I even there's not a lot
- 9:28Speaker 3: of people I like, I could say I look up
- 9:32Speaker 3: to or influence, like to look up and see what
- 9:34Speaker 3: they've done. I mean, okay, that's wrong. There are a
- 9:36Speaker 3: lot of people that have but most people don't know
- 9:39Speaker 3: that unless you know me personally, who's influenced me? Kanye West,
- 9:43Speaker 3: for sure, I don't know anything about the personal stuff.
- 9:46Speaker 3: But on a business level, as an artists, as the
- 9:51Speaker 3: brand he is created as a vocal vocal artist.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Yeah, but a very vocal artist.
- 9:57Speaker 3: I mean, he's just one of the greatest that will
- 10:00Speaker 3: ever walk this planet.
- 10:02Speaker 5: So it's it's so And that's what's so hard is
- 10:05Speaker 5: you don't a lot of people, when they see behavior
- 10:08Speaker 5: like this, discredit his genius and look at him as.
- 10:12Speaker 4: You know, someone who's very volatile, and it's you.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Know, and some support.
- 10:18Speaker 3: You know, it's not fun, right, meaning you're saying you're
- 10:21Speaker 3: saying on the social media, which I have not seen
- 10:23Speaker 3: this part where they make fun. But I mean, I
- 10:25Speaker 3: think mental health and any of these kinds of issues
- 10:29Speaker 3: are should never be taken back.
- 10:31Speaker 1: And I'm like, I'm the type of person who uses
- 10:33Speaker 1: comedy for everything, but there's just something about a mental
- 10:39Speaker 1: illness that is for me just throwing it out there
- 10:44Speaker 1: and either making fun of it or like labeling someone
- 10:47Speaker 1: as something because that's happened to me. It happened to
- 10:50Speaker 1: me at the reunion, and it's just like everything is
- 10:54Speaker 1: so minimized in our society right now.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Well, listen, this is awesome because I just I didn't
- 11:01Speaker 2: even know this was going on. I'm going to know
- 11:03Speaker 2: this level of it was gone.
- 11:04Speaker 4: So well, let me tell you about we.
- 11:07Speaker 1: So we came off of like a very light and
- 11:10Speaker 1: fun podcast last week, and this week I wanted to
- 11:13Speaker 1: get a little bit more real because we're going into
- 11:16Speaker 1: the one hundred teenth day of quarantine COVID all of it,
- 11:22Speaker 1: and I've noticed people's mental health kind of crashing, and
- 11:25Speaker 1: I just want to make today about mental health, sobriety
- 11:28Speaker 1: and try to acknowledge things that people have asked about.
- 11:31Speaker 3: So I respect that and I'm excited about that. So
- 11:35Speaker 3: I'm gonna I'm gonna have no humor.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Today because you know they can have humor. You just
- 11:39Speaker 2: said it has to be serious, so I'm.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Like, you know, it's not about being serious. It's about acknowledgement.
- 11:43Speaker 2: So I can tell jokes.
- 11:44Speaker 4: We can tell jokes.
- 11:45Speaker 2: We'll be back. Can I say we'll be back here?
- 11:47Speaker 2: Let's say it. Okay, we'll be back. We're back. We're
- 11:54Speaker 2: back with the heavy podcast.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Go ahead with I'm not I don't know how to
- 11:59Speaker 3: contribute to a heavy podcast, like we have to be heavy, it's.
- 12:02Speaker 4: Not supposed to be heavy.
- 12:04Speaker 3: There's just a lot of things you want to but
- 12:06Speaker 3: I respect you want to address like I want.
- 12:09Speaker 4: To address that.
- 12:09Speaker 1: And also like I did a sobriety post the other
- 12:12Speaker 1: day and I got a lot of people that were
- 12:16Speaker 1: just reaching out about sobriety and how it kind of
- 12:19Speaker 1: goes hand in hand with mental health, and so I
- 12:22Speaker 1: just wanted to do a podcast that was like not
- 12:25Speaker 1: ignoring that's ignoring things that are important.
- 12:28Speaker 4: You know, There's only so many things we can.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Talk about that like are not fucking important. You know.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Can I say something?
- 12:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I do agree with you, and I think that
- 12:37Speaker 3: talking about sobriety because I see a lot of people
- 12:40Speaker 3: are very inspired by you.
- 12:41Speaker 2: So I respect that.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I do. Before we get so heavy, I just thought
- 12:46Speaker 2: we could just tell a joke. So I have a joke.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Why do we tell actors to break leg why because
- 12:54Speaker 3: every play.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Has a cast.
- 12:59Speaker 4: I have a joke too.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Okay, you go ahead, then we'll get serious.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Okay, what did one saggy boob say to the other
- 13:07Speaker 1: saggy boob?
- 13:08Speaker 4: What we better perk up before somebody thinks we're nuts.
- 13:14Speaker 2: That's pretty good? Yes, okay, all right.
- 13:17Speaker 3: So back to let's let's talk about the dinosaur, no elephant,
- 13:22Speaker 3: let's talk about the elephant in the room.
- 13:24Speaker 4: I love, Okay, I.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Mean, since you want to have a heavy podcast of
- 13:28Speaker 3: joking time, I said that. I think it's kind of
- 13:30Speaker 3: like my original joke of laala with ram Kind.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I'm going to go with it for like.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Okay, So, first of all, you showed me, as well
- 13:41Speaker 3: as many other people, four hundred articles that came out.
- 13:45Speaker 4: I didn't show them to you. You showed them to me.
- 13:47Speaker 4: That's true.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Not true, That is true. Okay.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Well you're the only person in this relationship at Google's okay.
- 13:55Speaker 2: That's a lie. Okay, well it's a lot. That's you're
- 13:59Speaker 2: a lie to You don't send me articles, you don't
- 14:05Speaker 2: read your own ship?
- 14:07Speaker 4: Do you send them to me?
- 14:08Speaker 2: Do you read your own ship? Yes? Or no?
- 14:09Speaker 4: I'm asking, yes, I read what you send to me.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Do you read also your own ship online? No, that's
- 14:15Speaker 2: a lie. I'm coming. That's oh my god.
- 14:19Speaker 4: I found out that.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Can I just say story thing? Thank you? Whether I
- 14:26Speaker 2: read it or four hundred of my friends sent it
- 14:29Speaker 2: to me.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Hey, you have to keep your voice a little down because,
- 14:32Speaker 1: let's be honest.
- 14:33Speaker 4: We're doing this on a cell phone, because can.
- 14:36Speaker 2: I just hear take me out of my moment.
- 14:38Speaker 3: What I'm saying is whether I read it or people
- 14:41Speaker 3: send it to me, which a lot of people send
- 14:43Speaker 3: it to me. More of my friends sent it to
- 14:45Speaker 3: me like they were concerned. They're like, did you and
- 14:47Speaker 3: Lalla break up? I was like, well, we're sitting in
- 14:50Speaker 3: a house right now, water skiing on a boat.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Did I miss something?
- 14:56Speaker 3: And then I realized because I didn't realize we have
- 14:59Speaker 3: never followed each from the day we've met.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I've had you blocked since I got with you.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Same Yeah, okay, so hold on. So of course I
- 15:08Speaker 3: didn't know that you had removed or what do you
- 15:13Speaker 3: call it archive? I don't even know you could do
- 15:15Speaker 3: that to me, right, so you archived all of our pictures,
- 15:20Speaker 3: which then led people to believe we broke up, which
- 15:25Speaker 3: I was shocked and didn't get the message in the house,
- 15:28Speaker 3: so I wish you would have told me. But then
- 15:31Speaker 3: you But then I said, so, why are they writing
- 15:33Speaker 3: all these articles yourself?
- 15:34Speaker 2: Because I archived you? And I was like, what do
- 15:36Speaker 2: you mean you archived me? What am I? What am I? Eighteen?
- 15:39Speaker 2: So I guess you get pissed off at me.
- 15:42Speaker 3: And if we get into a tit, which which by
- 15:45Speaker 3: the way, we've been together.
- 15:47Speaker 2: We're a married couple, we're a merry couple, doesn't okay.
- 15:49Speaker 3: So the bottom line is we've been together a long time,
- 15:52Speaker 3: so we get tits.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Everybody gets a tits. That's relationship.
- 15:55Speaker 4: It's a tit. Not a tit.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Oh, it's not a tit. No, it's a tiff.
- 16:01Speaker 4: You get into a tip.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Tip have fun.
- 16:05Speaker 3: I'm trying to have a serious so you want to
- 16:07Speaker 3: have a serious podcast. So we're getting a tiff, yes, okay,
- 16:11Speaker 3: And every couple gets in TIFFs, and when you've been
- 16:15Speaker 3: together a long time, you get TIFFs. And when we
- 16:18Speaker 3: got the tiff, I didn't know that you archived my photos.
- 16:22Speaker 2: I do, so what is that? And then I don't
- 16:24Speaker 2: even know on And here's the worst part. I didn't
- 16:25Speaker 2: even know you archived my photos. I had to find
- 16:27Speaker 2: out by an article online.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Yeah, and then I came in and I said, did
- 16:32Speaker 3: you break up over the tip?
- 16:33Speaker 2: And you're like, are you crazy?
- 16:35Speaker 1: No, So here's what happened which and don't cut me off. Please,
- 16:39Speaker 1: let me just do my thing for five seconds.
- 16:42Speaker 3: And then, by the way, your fans hate when I
- 16:44Speaker 3: cut you off, so I'm going.
- 16:45Speaker 2: To pay what Okay, okay, go ahead.
- 16:47Speaker 1: So basically I have started posting the twelve step prayers.
- 16:54Speaker 4: I started with.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Number one, then two, then three, and then the day
- 16:58Speaker 1: that I archived your photos was step four, the Step
- 17:03Speaker 1: four prayer.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Which basically, what does that say?
- 17:06Speaker 1: That is where you acknowledge that it is you who
- 17:09Speaker 1: has turned your.
- 17:10Speaker 4: Life into a mess.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Oh, and you talk.
- 17:12Speaker 1: About your resentments, and then you have to acknowledge the
- 17:16Speaker 1: part that you played. Basically, the fourth step in the
- 17:19Speaker 1: program is the hardest step that you have to do.
- 17:23Speaker 1: You have to take for me and for many other people.
- 17:26Speaker 1: When you hear about the twelve step program, most people
- 17:29Speaker 1: will say the fourth step, it's a.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Very long time.
- 17:32Speaker 3: So you posted this step on the day that we
- 17:34Speaker 3: had a tip, on the day that you archived me
- 17:38Speaker 3: and that's why.
- 17:40Speaker 1: So everyone put those two things together and it was
- 17:44Speaker 1: like a media frenzy of like Lala Kent says her
- 17:48Speaker 1: life is a mess.
- 17:49Speaker 4: It's like, well, I'm not saying that. That's the prayer
- 17:52Speaker 4: says that.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Okay, Can I ask a question? Can I ask question
- 17:54Speaker 2: for the futures?
- 17:56Speaker 3: When people who are not with a reality star getting TIFFs,
- 18:02Speaker 3: they just say, you know, they have their tiff and
- 18:06Speaker 3: an hour later the tiff is over, like our tiff
- 18:09Speaker 3: was over an hour later, wait wait wait wait, you
- 18:12Speaker 3: didn't let me get.
- 18:12Speaker 2: It out, and then we're on the boat water skiing.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Our tip was like not even that big of a tiff,
- 18:17Speaker 3: And can you not archive me next time?
- 18:22Speaker 4: I can't promise you guys.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Listen, what is this archive? What I mean?
- 18:27Speaker 3: Okay, you can't even hurt me with archiving me if
- 18:30Speaker 3: I don't if I don't even.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Follow you, so I don't even know you archiving it
- 18:34Speaker 2: doesn't hurt anybody, know.
- 18:36Speaker 4: I was actually just trying to make myself feel better.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Oh okay, because you can't screw somebody archiving them if
- 18:43Speaker 3: they can't see your Instagram, I have nothing to do
- 18:45Speaker 3: with you.
- 18:49Speaker 1: This is can I tell you, it's like, it's like
- 18:52Speaker 1: this you archived, because then when you're back on good terms,
- 18:55Speaker 1: you just add them right back.
- 18:56Speaker 4: They go right back into the same place. It's all good.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Oh because of the article, because the OC and I again,
- 19:01Speaker 3: you told me about the archive literally an hour after
- 19:04Speaker 3: the tip was over, and and and the funny thing
- 19:09Speaker 3: of it all is all these articles that friends of
- 19:12Speaker 3: mine had sent us said you deleted.
- 19:15Speaker 2: So I was like, she deleted, not deleted. It looks
- 19:18Speaker 2: like a delete.
- 19:19Speaker 4: It looks like a delete. But it's just an arch
- 19:20Speaker 4: I know.
- 19:21Speaker 3: But here's here's the thing. It doesn't affect me because
- 19:24Speaker 3: I don't follow you and you don't follow me, so
- 19:26Speaker 3: who are you.
- 19:27Speaker 2: I'm trying not.
- 19:28Speaker 4: To hurt anybody. It's to make myself feel better.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Okay, okay, okay.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Here's the thing.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Most people, when they get in tips, they may be like,
- 19:37Speaker 1: fuck this, I'm gonna go have a drink, fuck this,
- 19:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna go do this or whatever it may be. Me,
- 19:41Speaker 1: I'm like, you know what, my petty ass going to
- 19:44Speaker 1: delete all his ship just for five minutes because that
- 19:46Speaker 1: makes me feel.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Empowerful a few hours whatever.
- 19:52Speaker 4: I tell you.
- 19:52Speaker 2: A lot of like as you came to me and
- 19:54Speaker 2: then showed me that.
- 19:55Speaker 1: By the way, there was this like Instagram with like
- 19:59Speaker 1: naughty and a lot of followers, but I saw it
- 20:01Speaker 1: so I just had to comment.
- 20:02Speaker 4: And it was like.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Welak had deleted all her pictures of rant And then
- 20:07Speaker 1: the cousu was like, this is hurtful, and I was like,
- 20:09Speaker 1: if this is hurtful, you're soft as fuck.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Because that shit is not well.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Let me say something to that Instagram. First of all,
- 20:16Speaker 3: thank you for having my back. So whatever site that is, wait, wait,
- 20:20Speaker 3: whatever site that is, I support you guys. Second of all,
- 20:23Speaker 3: it wasn't hurtful, because how can it be hurtful.
- 20:25Speaker 2: I didn't even know she had.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Done that until one of my best friends sent me
- 20:30Speaker 3: a few articles is like, are you guys okay? And
- 20:32Speaker 3: I was like, well, we're on the boat right now
- 20:34Speaker 3: and we're playing rummy cue, so I don't know, but
- 20:37Speaker 3: I'm glad that helped you.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I think everyone has their like I actually got a
- 20:41Speaker 1: lot of people that were like, girl, I do that
- 20:43Speaker 1: same thing all the time.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Who does that?
- 20:46Speaker 4: My fellow imagery people, No.
- 20:47Speaker 3: I think that's you. I think you invented this. The
- 20:50Speaker 3: only person I've never heard somebody archiving.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Somebody, Well your oldest shit. Well that's why you are
- 20:56Speaker 2: archiving me.
- 20:56Speaker 4: I'm an art I'm young at shit, and I act
- 20:59Speaker 4: that way.
- 21:00Speaker 1: But bottom line is whatever if that's the most petty
- 21:03Speaker 1: thing I do in my life, like I'm fucking chill
- 21:05Speaker 1: in on it.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Okay, So I respect you, Okay, whatever, Okay. So I
- 21:09Speaker 2: just want to.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Say a couple of things because I really am excited
- 21:11Speaker 3: about this episode. So we're going to have to take
- 21:15Speaker 3: a quick break again. We're going to come back with it.
- 21:18Speaker 4: Let me say this before we move on.
- 21:20Speaker 2: I want to talk about sobriety. Won't come back.
- 21:21Speaker 4: No, we're going to talk about sobriety when we come back.
- 21:24Speaker 4: But for my fellow chicks out there who want.
- 21:26Speaker 1: To delete their man off their Instagram, just archive it
- 21:29Speaker 1: because then you can add it back.
- 21:31Speaker 4: I don't judge you. Let us have immature, petty moments
- 21:34Speaker 4: like whatever.
- 21:35Speaker 2: It is, what it is, Okay.
- 21:36Speaker 3: I'm glad that we don't follow each other, because I
- 21:39Speaker 3: think if I had seen that on your ground, I'm
- 21:41Speaker 3: glad we don't follow.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Each other either.
- 21:43Speaker 1: No, I could only see so many of your mugshot
- 21:45Speaker 1: pictures that you.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Take Okay, now you're being seen. Now, now you're being petty.
- 21:50Speaker 3: So what I might do now is I might delete,
- 21:55Speaker 3: not even archive your shit.
- 21:56Speaker 2: I'm going to delete them all.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Because that's I want to get back at you.
- 22:00Speaker 2: No, I'm not going to do that because I don't
- 22:01Speaker 2: I wouldn't have any followers if I did that.
- 22:04Speaker 4: We'll be right back.
- 22:09Speaker 2: And we're back.
- 22:09Speaker 3: I'm running the interview now because I'm going to ask
- 22:12Speaker 3: a little bit for a few minutes here with you.
- 22:14Speaker 4: You're going to interview.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I want to just ask you a little bit
- 22:16Speaker 3: about your sobriety, because first of all, I think that
- 22:19Speaker 3: people don't.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Realize that the fact, first of all.
- 22:22Speaker 3: You've been sober a year and nine months, so three
- 22:26Speaker 3: more months we're going to hit two years, which is
- 22:27Speaker 3: a milestone. I tell you, I don't care what company
- 22:31Speaker 3: you're building, how much you know success or money you make,
- 22:35Speaker 3: how many TV shows you do, produce, star, none of
- 22:39Speaker 3: that's important to me. Your sobriety, to me is going
- 22:43Speaker 3: to always for me be the thing that I cannot believe.
- 22:49Speaker 3: And I'm so proud of what you've done and what
- 22:52Speaker 3: you do, and people don't realize. I mean, people are sober,
- 22:55Speaker 3: realizing people who have family and friends who are sober.
- 22:58Speaker 3: But I think unless you really know the amount of
- 23:01Speaker 3: work that I see you do, and.
- 23:02Speaker 2: I'm talking about every day.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Every day you're either reading, working with, you know, people
- 23:09Speaker 3: that your sponsor, You're on Zoom meetings, you're you know,
- 23:12Speaker 3: you're going to meetings obviously pre COVID. So I just
- 23:16Speaker 3: need to give you the acknowledgment that I am very,
- 23:18Speaker 3: very proud of your sobriety and the person that you've
- 23:22Speaker 3: become through your sobriety.
- 23:23Speaker 2: So I always want you to know that thank you.
- 23:25Speaker 3: The question I have is for somebody who doesn't know
- 23:31Speaker 3: sobriety in that respect, does it get easier? Like from
- 23:37Speaker 3: day one to today? Was you know, because I never
- 23:40Speaker 3: asked you that, like six months in where you like
- 23:42Speaker 3: I got this, or a year in where you like
- 23:45Speaker 3: or is it just always a working problem.
- 23:47Speaker 2: I'm curious the.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Evolution from where you started to where you are today.
- 23:52Speaker 3: How to it change or how does it I don't.
- 23:55Speaker 4: Think that it ever gets easier.
- 23:57Speaker 1: They're like, I'm a conqueror, you know, Like I conquered drinking.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I was the fucking best at it. The daunting thing
- 24:05Speaker 1: about sobriety is that it can never be conquered. Whether
- 24:09Speaker 1: you have sixty days of sobriety or sixty years of sobriety,
- 24:13Speaker 1: there's one thing that could send you back to square one.
- 24:17Speaker 4: You have to work every single day, and it.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Can be the disease can never be beat. So for me,
- 24:26Speaker 1: I wouldn't say that it gets easier for me. It
- 24:29Speaker 1: just it's my routine. And I would be lying if
- 24:32Speaker 1: I said there haven't been times where I've been fixated
- 24:37Speaker 1: on a bottle of wine. The difference now is that
- 24:41Speaker 1: I think before I do. I know that I've worked
- 24:44Speaker 1: extremely hard to get to this place, and I pick
- 24:47Speaker 1: up the damn phone and I call my fucking sponsor.
- 24:50Speaker 3: If you're having a moment where you're saying, my thoughts
- 24:53Speaker 3: are going in the old place that I used to go,
- 24:56Speaker 3: So now you're saying, Okay, I have the tools, I
- 24:58Speaker 3: know what to do, and I've I've learned that what
- 25:02Speaker 3: I need to do if I get to that point
- 25:04Speaker 3: where I'm starting to think the wrong thoughts basically.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Right, But that's that's a huge job.
- 25:08Speaker 3: But so clearly in the first thirty or sixty days,
- 25:12Speaker 3: I mean, I was there obviously and I know how
- 25:14Speaker 3: hard you've worked, but I mean, you know, it seems
- 25:18Speaker 3: and again this is just I'm with you every day.
- 25:21Speaker 2: It seems that you talk about it a lot less
- 25:25Speaker 2: meaning when this is what I remember.
- 25:26Speaker 3: The first thirty, first ninety days, you talked about everything
- 25:30Speaker 3: we did.
- 25:31Speaker 2: It was about you know.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Because at that point in time, my identity was I'm sober.
- 25:36Speaker 4: That consumed one hundred percent of my identity.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Whereas to learn the new right, Whereas now it's like
- 25:43Speaker 1: I'm laala, I come from Utah, I do this and oh,
- 25:47Speaker 1: by the way.
- 25:48Speaker 2: I don't.
- 25:48Speaker 4: I don't dream right. Not only do I not, but
- 25:51Speaker 4: I'm sober.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Right.
- 25:52Speaker 1: So a lot of people have like said to me,
- 25:55Speaker 1: not a lot of people, but there have been a
- 25:57Speaker 1: few people that have written comments say, if you smoking dope,
- 26:01Speaker 1: does it mean you sober? And I want to make
- 26:02Speaker 1: it very clear, I don't smoke weed anymore.
- 26:05Speaker 4: I've never done a drug in my life, and I
- 26:08Speaker 4: don't drink. And there is nothing that I put in
- 26:11Speaker 4: my body that changes.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Your mental stay, your mental stack.
- 26:14Speaker 1: My reality is always this is just a clear picture.
- 26:18Speaker 3: And I will say I've been there every day with you,
- 26:22Speaker 3: and you are a one year and nine months, no weed,
- 26:27Speaker 3: no drink, no anything. And even when it gets really
- 26:31Speaker 3: rough for you or you've had some rough days where
- 26:34Speaker 3: challenging days like we all have, whether it be in
- 26:37Speaker 3: the relationship, or it be at home with your own family,
- 26:40Speaker 3: or be with work. I have seen you have challenging days.
- 26:44Speaker 3: I've been part of those challenging days, and at the
- 26:46Speaker 3: end of the day, you've always your sobriety is.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Always number one. I mean in terms of so it's
- 26:51Speaker 2: very impressive.
- 26:52Speaker 1: My sobriety and God are my number one priorities.
- 26:56Speaker 4: They come before you, they come before my mind.
- 26:59Speaker 2: You just said your priority is God. I'm here.
- 27:04Speaker 4: Some sacrilegious ship head.
- 27:06Speaker 2: He's going to smite you. But what I mean is no,
- 27:10Speaker 2: I understand it's number one.
- 27:12Speaker 1: It's number one because without God and without not sober
- 27:15Speaker 1: and without sobriety, I am not useful or anyone else
- 27:20Speaker 1: in my life. So those two things have to go
- 27:23Speaker 1: hand in hand.
- 27:24Speaker 2: And I respect that.
- 27:25Speaker 3: And I by the way, there's been many days where
- 27:27Speaker 3: you said to me, you know, either a you need
- 27:31Speaker 3: like earlier on in the process, and it's only a year,
- 27:34Speaker 3: nine months, and I know, to me, that's a tremendous
- 27:36Speaker 3: amount of time. But I know in the program, you
- 27:38Speaker 3: guys don't look you know, you're not looking at that way.
- 27:40Speaker 3: You always tell me you're like one day at a time.
- 27:41Speaker 2: You don't.
- 27:42Speaker 4: But we don't say I'm almost two your sober. We
- 27:45Speaker 4: say I am a year, nine months, six days sober.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Right, and and not a day more. But but it
- 27:52Speaker 2: is impressive.
- 27:53Speaker 3: But because I do remember earlier on some things where
- 27:56Speaker 3: like we would be at an event or something and
- 27:57Speaker 3: you would say, okay, it's a twelve thirty, that's enough
- 28:01Speaker 3: for me, time to go home, Like you you kind
- 28:03Speaker 3: of knew today, I feel like you're you just want
- 28:06Speaker 3: to go home because you can't stand the event or
- 28:08Speaker 3: at your bored.
- 28:09Speaker 1: What the thing is about that is like I'll be
- 28:12Speaker 1: at an event and people will be drinking and like
- 28:15Speaker 1: coming up to me and they'll lean more alcohol, and
- 28:17Speaker 1: I'm looking around and I'm like, I'm seeing what's happening,
- 28:19Speaker 1: and like y'all have peaked like that.
- 28:21Speaker 4: It's not I'm seeing it. It ain't that fun, Like.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I'm watching it and the hangovers are and the hangovers
- 28:28Speaker 3: are horrible.
- 28:29Speaker 4: It's time for me to go home.
- 28:30Speaker 1: And people ask me how I stay sober, and I
- 28:34Speaker 1: have to attribute that.
- 28:35Speaker 4: I know that the program I'm in is anonymous.
- 28:38Speaker 1: And I would never tell anybody who I see in
- 28:41Speaker 1: my program. But for me, the program is not just
- 28:45Speaker 1: about not picking up a drink, and I've learned this sadly.
- 28:48Speaker 1: It took me up until recently to realize me not
- 28:52Speaker 1: picking up a drink is not the full picture.
- 28:56Speaker 4: It's about becoming.
- 28:57Speaker 1: A better human being because my behavior, on many occasions,
- 29:02Speaker 1: I may not be intoxicated, but my behavior is drunk.
- 29:06Speaker 1: So that's a big reason why I call my sponsor
- 29:10Speaker 1: and I said, I need to go back to Step whatever,
- 29:12Speaker 1: because I don't want to be this version of myself
- 29:15Speaker 1: where like someone says the wrong thing and I'm fucking
- 29:19Speaker 1: popping off at them, acting like, you know, like my
- 29:23Speaker 1: mouth is drunk, my mind is still drunk, and the
- 29:27Speaker 1: program is about breaking those habits.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Well, I am as you know, you're a biggest fan
- 29:33Speaker 3: when it comes to the Well, I'm your biggest fan
- 29:36Speaker 3: period because I love you and you're my best friend.
- 29:39Speaker 3: But I'm also a biggest fan because I can't believe
- 29:41Speaker 3: the commitment that you made a year and nine months ago,
- 29:44Speaker 3: six days and how you have honored that for yourself.
- 29:48Speaker 3: And nobody told you to go get sober. Nobody said, Lalla,
- 29:52Speaker 3: this is it. Nobody threatened you to do that. You
- 29:54Speaker 3: just woke up and you said, this is the only
- 29:57Speaker 3: choice I have. And I remember you came to the
- 29:59Speaker 3: office and told me that, and then you went straight
- 30:01Speaker 3: to start the program.
- 30:02Speaker 2: And here we are.
- 30:03Speaker 3: So I commend you and I give you mad love
- 30:06Speaker 3: in that respect, and I always want I tell you
- 30:08Speaker 3: every day how proud I.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Am of you.
- 30:10Speaker 4: Well, thank you.
- 30:10Speaker 1: And on a lighter note, yes, note, I want to
- 30:15Speaker 1: read some voicemails. Again, my advice to anybody who is
- 30:19Speaker 1: trying to get sober, if you're trying to lead the
- 30:22Speaker 1: type of life or be on the path that I
- 30:25Speaker 1: am on, if the program is intimidating to you, I
- 30:29Speaker 1: would recommend just going and picking up the big book
- 30:33Speaker 1: and just highlighting and making notes of things that resonate
- 30:36Speaker 1: with you and go from there. I know it can
- 30:39Speaker 1: be very overwhelming, but that is my piece of advice.
- 30:44Speaker 1: All right, let's go to some voice mails to lighten
- 30:47Speaker 1: this friggin mood.
- 30:50Speaker 6: Hi, Lala and Randall, this is Chelsea calling from southern California.
- 30:54Speaker 6: I just want to say, I absolutely love your podcast.
- 30:57Speaker 6: I literally look forward to it every single Wenesday. Hey,
- 31:01Speaker 6: it gets me through work and definitely through these crazy times.
- 31:05Speaker 6: One question, This is going to be so basic, but
- 31:07Speaker 6: I don't care on basic af and I really do
- 31:11Speaker 6: want to know what are some of your guys's similarities,
- 31:15Speaker 6: Like what are some things that you and Rand blah blah,
- 31:17Speaker 6: you and Rand like just you have in common, Like
- 31:21Speaker 6: some things that you're just like obsess over together and
- 31:24Speaker 6: you love it. And then also counter question like what
- 31:27Speaker 6: are your differences like what is something that you absolutely
- 31:30Speaker 6: love to do that Rand can't stand and vice versa.
- 31:33Speaker 6: I want to know about both of you. Thank you
- 31:35Speaker 6: guys so much for putting out such amazing content or content.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I love you guys.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Okay, bis well, this one is hard.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Not really what this one's good? I like this question.
- 31:46Speaker 3: So the things that opposite in terms of an activity, okay,
- 31:52Speaker 3: is I'm obsessed with poker and you cannot stand it.
- 31:55Speaker 4: No, I hate it.
- 31:56Speaker 3: I think it's stupid, right, but it's actually really high
- 31:59Speaker 3: level mental game.
- 32:00Speaker 2: But okay, we know that, and you've made that clear
- 32:03Speaker 2: everywhere we go.
- 32:04Speaker 3: But so that's one thing that we have a different song,
- 32:06Speaker 3: But she does support me, and she does come out
- 32:08Speaker 3: and she'll do commentary and make an appearance and promote
- 32:12Speaker 3: the game for me, and it's really nice and sweet.
- 32:15Speaker 2: So that's something that I feel like very different.
- 32:17Speaker 3: But but and on the flip side of that is
- 32:21Speaker 3: she obsesses over Real Housewives of Every City and watches
- 32:25Speaker 3: it on rerun for hours at a time and commandeers
- 32:30Speaker 3: the TV. And so that is something I have zero
- 32:33Speaker 3: interest in and have to tolerate. So we both have
- 32:36Speaker 3: those things. But what do we have in common? I mean,
- 32:39Speaker 3: I think we have everything in common. I mean, we're
- 32:40Speaker 3: very different people, but we have obviously the same loves
- 32:45Speaker 3: and passions. I mean, we both love each other and
- 32:48Speaker 3: that's something that we put a lot of time in.
- 32:50Speaker 3: We both care about family, and she, you know, cares
- 32:55Speaker 3: very much about you know, she's a family person.
- 32:58Speaker 2: She's very close with her mom and her.
- 33:00Speaker 3: Brother, and she loves my children, you know, And and
- 33:03Speaker 3: and so I think family is very important.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Her family is very important to me, and we work
- 33:07Speaker 2: hard at that.
- 33:08Speaker 3: And then and then the other thing I would say
- 33:10Speaker 3: that we're very similar in terms of activities is we're
- 33:14Speaker 3: equally obsessed with pickleball, but that's on an athletic.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I wouldn't call my ability athletic very athletic.
- 33:21Speaker 1: When you do it, you're really good, Okay, serve as
- 33:23Speaker 1: like that of a professional.
- 33:24Speaker 4: Ben jonce told me that.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Okay, so probably aside from that, not that athletic. But
- 33:30Speaker 3: but the thing is is that I think that.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Her and I we're both goers, like we like to
- 33:35Speaker 1: travel and we like adventures.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Yeah, we like to That's a good one, you tell you, yeah,
- 33:40Speaker 3: because I think that's from your perspectives.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Where you can sit there and be like, hey, I
- 33:43Speaker 1: was thinking we're going to just like r V exactly.
- 33:47Speaker 3: And at the same time, I know, but but I think, yeah,
- 33:50Speaker 3: I think we both love to travel, we both love adventure.
- 33:53Speaker 3: I think we're not afraid of the unknown, and even
- 33:56Speaker 3: if we are, we'll just that she.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Said what we both obsess over and I think we're
- 34:00Speaker 1: pretty obsessed with each other, which is a good thing.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Yeah, what did you just say?
- 34:05Speaker 4: You're obsessed with me?
- 34:07Speaker 2: You live for me?
- 34:09Speaker 4: Okay, I agree, I just said that.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Okay, you're the one that's Is this another petty thing
- 34:13Speaker 3: where you're gonna archive me?
- 34:14Speaker 2: I'm just curious.
- 34:16Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Maybe don't funk around and then you want have to
- 34:18Speaker 1: find out next question.
- 34:20Speaker 4: Thanks voicemail.
- 34:22Speaker 7: Hey La Law and Randal. I just want to say
- 34:25Speaker 7: that you guys truly, truly crack me up, whether I'm
- 34:29Speaker 7: driving cleaning the house, I seriously laugh out loud listening
- 34:33Speaker 7: to you guys.
- 34:34Speaker 6: I also just had a.
- 34:35Speaker 7: Question for you guys. I am afraid of flying, and
- 34:40Speaker 7: I just wanted to know if you guys had any
- 34:43Speaker 7: tips on I truly want to travel and go to
- 34:47Speaker 7: different places. So what is your advice on that? Love
- 34:51Speaker 7: you guys, shout out from Ohio.
- 34:52Speaker 2: That's a good question.
- 34:53Speaker 4: This is a good one for you.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Yeah. So, so I am.
- 34:57Speaker 3: The people don't believe this because I travel more than
- 35:01Speaker 3: most people travel, you know, ever, and they should never
- 35:04Speaker 3: travel as much as I've had to travel. But so
- 35:06Speaker 3: I have the biggest fear of flying, and through that fear,
- 35:10Speaker 3: I have an obsession for aviation, So I know every
- 35:15Speaker 3: I mean, I study airplane disasters and accidents and all
- 35:19Speaker 3: this stuff. And I've made friends with many many pilots
- 35:23Speaker 3: over the years. And so here's what I'll say. I
- 35:26Speaker 3: helped two of my friends overcome their fear of flying.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Two of my friends my friend Craig Gestelle, who's an
- 35:31Speaker 3: agent William Morris. I helped him. He had not flown,
- 35:34Speaker 3: and I convinced and got in the fly on a
- 35:37Speaker 3: private plane with me to overcome his fear.
- 35:40Speaker 2: And here's what I'll say. I am the worst flyer, but.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Because I'm so educated, I'm able to fly as much
- 35:46Speaker 3: as I do. So all I'm going to say is this,
- 35:49Speaker 3: And pilots tell me this. The air when it starts
- 35:53Speaker 3: to get turbulent, you just got to think of it
- 35:55Speaker 3: as like waves in the ocean or bumps on the road.
- 35:58Speaker 3: The plane is not going to crash, you know, through turbulence.
- 36:02Speaker 3: I mean, it's just it's the chances are, you know,
- 36:06Speaker 3: very very point zero zeros are a one percent.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Don't you have a higher chance of dying in a
- 36:11Speaker 4: car per.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Yes, you do have a higher chance, they say in
- 36:14Speaker 3: a car dying in a car crash than you would
- 36:17Speaker 3: in an airplane. Here's what I'll say, do not let
- 36:21Speaker 3: life go by because of your fear.
- 36:25Speaker 2: You know they have fear of flying.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Courses that you can do online, I would definitely suggest
- 36:29Speaker 3: doing it.
- 36:30Speaker 2: It is unbelievable.
- 36:31Speaker 3: They really explain to you the mechanics of airplanes so
- 36:35Speaker 3: that you understand how well they're built. They explain to
- 36:37Speaker 3: you weather and turbulence and heat and winds, just so
- 36:41Speaker 3: that you don't get nerves when you fly. And I
- 36:43Speaker 3: just want to say other thing, fear of flying. They're
- 36:45Speaker 3: the best courses in the world. And then go with
- 36:48Speaker 3: one of your best friends, somebody you trust. And I'm
- 36:50Speaker 3: telling you this, somebody you trust, one of your best friends.
- 36:53Speaker 2: And here's what I recommend. Go on a thirty minute flight.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Take a thirty minute flight from once to another small
- 37:01Speaker 3: city so that you know you're just going to go
- 37:03Speaker 3: up and write down.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Basically, and do that to start.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Then try an hour flight then you know what I mean,
- 37:08Speaker 3: and work your way to know and get that comfort
- 37:11Speaker 3: if you're that because I understand because I am very
- 37:14Speaker 3: scared of flying. But you know, it is a beautiful
- 37:17Speaker 3: thing and an immagical thing. You just have to, you know,
- 37:20Speaker 3: work yourself through it.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Okay, Randall is very passionate about I know.
- 37:24Speaker 4: I can I tell you.
- 37:25Speaker 1: I saw I heard that voicemail and I was like, oh,
- 37:28Speaker 1: Randal's going to go crazy over there, and I.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Can do a whole episode. You know what we're going
- 37:32Speaker 2: to do I just came with a great idea.
- 37:33Speaker 3: I know LS gonna be like, oh my god, another
- 37:35Speaker 3: idea for another episode.
- 37:37Speaker 2: We are going to do a fear of flying episode.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Now, I'm going to bring our pilot, Okay, Eddie and
- 37:44Speaker 3: his wife.
- 37:44Speaker 4: I love that.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Right.
- 37:45Speaker 3: We're going to have them for one segment talk about
- 37:48Speaker 3: talk about their experience at flying. And we're also going
- 37:51Speaker 3: to bring on an expert aviation specialist in who specializes
- 37:57Speaker 3: in the fear of flying. Because you know what, I
- 37:59Speaker 3: think this is great for everybody, no matter how much
- 38:01Speaker 3: you fly or don't fly.
- 38:02Speaker 2: It's interesting.
- 38:04Speaker 1: That's actually a really great idea we're doing that.
- 38:07Speaker 4: No, I really love it.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:08Speaker 1: And by the way, if you do have a fear
- 38:10Speaker 1: of flying, also just like pack some zequil in your
- 38:13Speaker 1: bag and take that before you get on the plane.
- 38:15Speaker 4: It's alcohol free.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Oh really, it's like a nat I don't want to
- 38:19Speaker 1: see natural, but it's a sleep aid. I know this
- 38:22Speaker 1: because I just do take some zquil and knock yourself out.
- 38:26Speaker 4: That's what I'll say.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Okay, I disagree with that.
- 38:28Speaker 4: I think I have a fear of flying.
- 38:31Speaker 3: No, yeah, but for somebody like me, it's like I
- 38:34Speaker 3: want to know everything that's going on on the plane.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Right.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Yes, there's no chance I'm going to sleep. By the way,
- 38:41Speaker 3: I'm the kind of guy that when I fly from
- 38:43Speaker 3: LA to London, which is a ten hour flight through
- 38:45Speaker 3: the middle of the night, I'm generally up ninety percent
- 38:48Speaker 3: of the flight.
- 38:49Speaker 2: So listen. But I agree with LAWA.
- 38:51Speaker 3: If you're not afraid of things, but if you are,
- 38:53Speaker 3: have the fear. It is a real fear. You're suspended
- 38:56Speaker 3: at thirty eight thousand and forty three thousand feet and
- 38:59Speaker 3: it's scary if it's something that you hear.
- 39:02Speaker 2: So any we're dedicating the next next episode to you.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, Randall's two passions fear of flying and poker.
- 39:09Speaker 1: All right, all right, you guys, this was an awesome podcast.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Thank you for tuning in to another episode of Give
- 39:15Speaker 1: Them Well Up with Randall and we will catch you
- 39:17Speaker 1: next week.
