- 0:00Chapter 45 from the book of Ezekiel.
- 0:03Dear Lord, please be with us as we read through this chapter or
- 0:07maybe more and help us to see, to have the insight and notice
- 0:12the things that you want to call to our attention.
- 0:16We ask this in Jesus name. So it starts out Israel fully
- 0:20restored. When you allot the land as an
- 0:24inheritance, you are to present to the Lord a portion of the
- 0:28land. Actually, I started reading for
- 0:31my Bible and I don't want to do that because of the version that
- 0:35I have, because this gets into measurements.
- 0:38And so I want to read from an online version, Ezekiel 45, and
- 0:44I'm going to read from the New Living Translation as Amir had
- 0:49suggested in his book. It's nice when you come to the
- 0:54Cubit measurements to have it translated for you.
- 0:57So I will read there. And then we will reference the
- 1:02Study Bible and perhaps the Exploring Ezekiel book by Amir
- 1:07also. So let's get started here.
- 1:09Division of the Land. When you divide the land among
- 1:12the tribes of Israel, you must set aside a section for the Lord
- 1:17as His holy portion. This piece of land will be 8 and
- 1:22one third miles long and six and 2/3 miles wide.
- 1:28The entire area will be holy. That's kind of interesting
- 1:32because there are certain sections and the that of the
- 1:39Bible that talks about ever since the beginning talks about
- 1:43clean and unclean, holy and unholy, and the purification and
- 1:47the sanctification process. Ever since the early
- 1:55documentation of the Israelites, God has always done that.
- 1:59In fact, when he gave the 10 commandments, he gave specific
- 2:03instructions that people were not to come and touch the
- 2:06mountain or they would die because it was holy.
- 2:08We talked about that before with the ark of the covenant.
- 2:11The same thing like there are certain holy things that we
- 2:15should respect and and they should be separate and remain
- 2:22that way. I mean, that's the way the Bible
- 2:24tells us anyway. So verse 2A section of this land
- 2:28measuring 875 feet by 875 feet will be set aside for the
- 2:33temple. OK, so that's interesting. 875
- 2:39feet by 875 feet. That's in the cubits.
- 2:43It's 500. So it's a square shape.
- 2:47An additional strip of 87 1/2 feet wide is to be left empty
- 2:54all around it. Within the larger sacred area,
- 2:58measure out a portion of the land 8 and a third miles long
- 3:03and three and a third miles wide.
- 3:07Within it, the sanctuary of the Most Holy Place will be located.
- 3:13This area will be holy, set aside for priest who minister to
- 3:19the Lord in the sanctuary. They will use it for their homes
- 3:23and my temple will be located within it.
- 3:28The strip of sacred land next to it, also eight and a third miles
- 3:33long and three and a third miles wide, will be a living area for
- 3:39the Levites who work at the temple.
- 3:41It will be their possession and a place for their towns.
- 3:44Adjacent to the larger sacred area will be a section of land 8
- 3:50and a third miles long, 1 2/3 miles wide.
- 3:55This will be set aside for a city where anyone in Israel can
- 4:00live. That's interesting.
- 4:02You know, this will be set aside for a city where anyone in
- 4:06Israel can live, and it's adjacent to the sacred land.
- 4:10OK for seven, two special sections of land will be set
- 4:15apart for the Prince. One section will share a border
- 4:20with the east side of the sacred lands and city, and the second
- 4:25section will share a border on the West side.
- 4:29Then the far eastern and far and western borders of the prince's
- 4:34land will line up with the eastern and western boundary
- 4:38boundaries of the tribal areas. These sections of land will be
- 4:44the Princess allotment. Then my Princess will no longer
- 4:50oppress and rob my people. They will assign the rest of the
- 4:53land to the people, giving an allotment to each tribe.
- 4:59So even from the beginning, when they were in camps, they had
- 5:02certain areas where the tribe set.
- 5:04It was very much very orderly. And someone pointed out that the
- 5:12the way that the tribes were set up in the camps when they were,
- 5:16I guess, wandering in the wilderness, they were in the
- 5:18shape of a cross. And I hadn't picked up on that,
- 5:21but a commentator mentioned that, which was kind of
- 5:24interesting. And then they would like blow
- 5:26trumpets if they were going to go out to the war or they would
- 5:28blow trumpets to call people together as an assembly.
- 5:32So this is very consistent with the way things had been done
- 5:36before. That was very organized.
- 5:38And God has a plan. So he's downloading this plan to
- 5:42Ezekiel and saying here's what everybody's going to have.
- 5:46Now, this reference to the Prince is very interesting.
- 5:51And I actually disagree with the study Bible here.
- 5:54And I think it might be beneficial to read this, this,
- 5:59and maybe more chapters to kind of get the context of who the
- 6:03Prince is. Because when I read it, I
- 6:06thought, I don't know. Anyway, you'll see.
- 6:09OK, rules for Princess. So this is plural.
- 6:12OK Ezekiel 45-9 for this is what the Sovereign Lord says.
- 6:19Enough you Princess of Israel, stop your violence and
- 6:23oppression and do what is just and right.
- 6:26Quit robbing and cheating my people out of their land.
- 6:30Stop expelling them from their homes, says the Sovereign Lord.
- 6:34Use only honest weights and scales and honest measures, both
- 6:39dry and liquid. The Homer that's about 40
- 6:43gallons will be your standard unit for measuring volume, the
- 6:48EFA and the bath that says the EFA is a dry measure, the bath
- 6:52is a liquid measure will each measure 110th of a Homer.
- 6:58The standard unit for weight will be the silver shekel, and
- 7:02the shekel weighs about .4 oz or 11 grams.
- 7:07One shekel will consist of 20 giras, and 60 shekels will be
- 7:14equal to 1 minna. Elsewhere, the minna is equated
- 7:18to 50 shekels. Special offerings and
- 7:21celebrations. You must give this tax to the
- 7:25Prince. One bushel of wheat or barley
- 7:29for every 60 you harvest. 1%. Let's see, Hebrew is 1/6 of an
- 7:37ephah from each Homer of wheat and 1/6 of an ephah from each
- 7:43Homer of barley. So that's where they came up
- 7:47with 60. And I haven't done the math to
- 7:51double check any of this one. If we did a really deep dive,
- 7:55I'm sure there is some significance in all of this, but
- 7:58I'm not going to go that deep today.
- 8:00One percent, 1% of your olive oil.
- 8:05And then it says as a footnote, the Hebrew portion of oil
- 8:09measured by the bath is 110th of a bath from each core, which
- 8:15consists of 10 baths or one Homer for 10 baths are
- 8:20equivalent to a Homer. OK verse 15, and 1 sheep or goat
- 8:25for every 200. And your flocks in Israel.
- 8:29These will be the grain offerings, burnt offerings, and
- 8:33peace offerings that will make atonement for the people who
- 8:37bring them, says the sovereign Lord.
- 8:41All the people of Israel must join in bringing these offerings
- 8:47to the Prince. So again, this is another
- 8:52indication of there will be future sacrifices being made and
- 9:00and there's something for in regards to atonement.
- 9:05And that does get a little bit confusing because these were
- 9:09temporary sacrifice that, well, they were temporary atonement
- 9:14that God was providing for people, but Jesus is the final
- 9:20and forever atonement for people.
- 9:23And perhaps this is leading the Israelites to the understanding
- 9:29of that. I'm not quite sure why this
- 9:32happens, but it, I don't know. I, I'm not really sure.
- 9:37I guess someday we'll be able to ask God like, why did you
- 9:40implement sacrifices after Jesus had already died for all of us?
- 9:44Because that is the question I have.
- 9:47OK, so all the people of Israel must join in bringing these
- 9:50offerings to the Prince. The Prince will be required to
- 9:53provide offerings that are given at the religious festivals, the
- 9:58new moon celebrations, the Sabbath days, and all similar
- 10:03occasions. He will provide the sin
- 10:05offerings, burnt offerings, grain offerings, liquid
- 10:09offerings or drink offerings and peace offerings to purify the
- 10:13people of Israel, making them right with the Lord.
- 10:18So again, this is interesting. This is what the sovereign Lord
- 10:24says in early spring on the first day of each new year.
- 10:30Now there there are two different calendars that happen.
- 10:34There's like a secular or a civil calendar and in Israel and
- 10:39that secular one starts at Rosh Hashanah.
- 10:43That's the beginning of the new year.
- 10:44But in the Old Testament, the way God established everything
- 10:48that the year started in the spring and it was around, you
- 10:53know, March, I don't know if it's maybe March 15th or
- 10:56something like that, but it was, it was in the springtime and it
- 11:00was during our month of March. And that was the, the 1st, that
- 11:05was the beginning. And that kind of makes the
- 11:07sense, that makes sense the way God did, you know, the way God
- 11:10did it. Of course it does.
- 11:13Because at springtime things are growing and then, you know, in
- 11:16the fall, they kind of go to sleep.
- 11:17So that's almost like a progress of, of life.
- 11:20But anyway, there are two, they're about six months apart
- 11:24from one another. So there are two calendars that
- 11:27are happening at the same time. But the biblical first month is
- 11:31in the spring. So this is what the sovereign
- 11:35verse 18 says. This is what the Sovereign Lord
- 11:37says in the in early spring on the first day of each new year.
- 11:44I'll read the footnote here. It says Hebrew on the first day
- 11:47of the first month of the Hebrew calendar.
- 11:49This day, an ancient Hebrew lunar calendar occurred in March
- 11:53or April and it had to do with the the moon.
- 11:57So I guess when it's actually started.
- 11:59So it's in the springtime, though, Sacrifice a young bull
- 12:02with no defects to purify the temple.
- 12:08So maybe this is what now this, this here says a young bull,
- 12:12which is a male, not a heifer. So this is sacrificing a young
- 12:17bull with no defects to purify the temple.
- 12:21So it's, it almost seems like there is a temple in place.
- 12:27I don't know. This is, this is interesting.
- 12:30So I'll have to look up sometime what Solomon's Temple's
- 12:34measurements were, because are there, as Amir's book said, are
- 12:40there 4 temples that come about? Is there a third temple that is
- 12:45the smaller size? Maybe it matches what the Temple
- 12:47Institute's plans currently have.
- 12:50And then this millennial temple is just going to be so much
- 12:55larger and more grandeur than what the Temple Institute
- 13:00currently has planned. We'll just have to wait and see.
- 13:04So the the priest will take the blood from this sin offering and
- 13:09put it on the doorpost of the temple.
- 13:12Remember, that was very much like the Passover when the blood
- 13:16was put on the doorpost of the doors and the peoples first born
- 13:21were saved from the Angel of death.
- 13:23And that was something that God told the Israelites to do when
- 13:26they were in Egypt before he rescued them.
- 13:30So this is interesting. It's very symbolic.
- 13:32The priest will take the blood from the sin offering and put it
- 13:35on the doorpost of the temple, the four corners of the upper
- 13:39ledge of the altar, the gatepost at the entrance to the inner
- 13:43courtyard. Do this also on the 7th day of
- 13:48the new year for anyone who has sinned through error or
- 13:54ignorance. Ignorance in this way you will
- 13:57purify the temple. One thing that I noticed about
- 14:00the sacrifices that these sacrifices were made for errors
- 14:07or like it says errors or ignorance.
- 14:10It was like you accidentally did something wrong.
- 14:14But none of the sin offerings, if you go back to the all of the
- 14:18offerings that were in the Old Testament, none of them were for
- 14:22intentional sins. Like there wasn't an offering
- 14:27that that made-up for that. Now, we do know that God does
- 14:34forgive people when they repent and turn away from them.
- 14:38So this is also another thing that makes me think about
- 14:42Jesus's atonement. We're going to mess up, we're
- 14:46going to do stupid things accidentally just because of our
- 14:50sinful nature. And now those are the types of
- 14:53sins that are forgiven through the blood of Jesus on the cross.
- 14:58But there are other sins that we know we're doing wrong and we
- 15:06intentionally do it anyway. That's just pure rebellion to
- 15:10God. And I don't know that the blood
- 15:13of Jesus covers that. There's something in the book of
- 15:15Hebrews that talks about that. And I, I feel like I'm just
- 15:20getting clarity right now for the first time on this because
- 15:24I, I, there's been a lot of disputes, not disputes, but
- 15:27discussions with people about, about this, about like obeying
- 15:31God and legalism and Jesus's death on the cross.
- 15:37And, and I think a lot of people are confused about this.
- 15:41But if you look closely at Scripture and like I said, I'm
- 15:46just this is like coming clear to me right now is about it says
- 15:52if we deliberately keep on sinning, something to this
- 15:54effect in the book of Hebrews, I'd need to look that up.
- 15:58But it says that there is no sacrifice remaining, but only
- 16:02the fearful expectation of the wrath of God or something to
- 16:05that effect. So I want to look that up
- 16:08because I don't want to misquote it and I I paraphrase
- 16:15deliberate. All right, I guess keep on
- 16:18sinning is what I can find it as and see if I can find that
- 16:24verse. OK, it's Hebrews 10/26.
- 16:27It says if we deliberately keep on sinning after we have
- 16:33received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is
- 16:39left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of
- 16:45raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
- 16:53So I, I think that's, you know, the fear of the Lord is the
- 16:57beginning of wisdom. So I think that's something that
- 17:01people, you know, they certainly don't talk about that in church,
- 17:05in many churches it's anyway, but I think that's a little bit
- 17:09concerning to me. All right, let's go back to
- 17:14where we were reading on the verse 21 in chapter 45.
- 17:20On the 14th day of the first month, you must celebrate the
- 17:25Passover. This festival will last for
- 17:28seven days. The bread you eat during that
- 17:31time must be made without yeast. Now without yeast, yeast was
- 17:37symbolic of sin. And so unleavened bread is is
- 17:43like the bread for some reason, I don't know why yeast was
- 17:49representative or symbolic of sin and so that's why there was
- 17:55unleavened bread. But also because when they fled
- 17:59from Egypt, they didn't have time to let the bread rise.
- 18:04And so it was unrisen bread that they used during that time.
- 18:08So there's, there's a lot of literal and symbolic meaning as
- 18:13we find throughout the Bible that these are literal events.
- 18:16And I was noticing the other day and I wrote these down and I
- 18:20couldn't find the paper that I wrote it on.
- 18:23But I there are three different festivals that God gave an
- 18:30ordinance that they should always do.
- 18:33And one of them was the Festival of Unleavened Breads.
- 18:38That's being talked about right here for the seven days.
- 18:41Then next there was the Festival of the Weeks, our first fruits
- 18:46or shabu oat. And then the third was the
- 18:49Festival of Tabernacles. And what I was when I was
- 18:54looking at those, I realized that those together represent
- 19:01the gospel message. This was so wild.
- 19:04I mean, I wish I would have written it all down.
- 19:06But and I, I will try to say like what I I found so #1 the
- 19:12Passover that is pointing us to Jesus.
- 19:16So the people were in Egypt. Egypt is representative.
- 19:21I mean, these are literal events, but also symbolic.
- 19:25So Egypt is symbolic of idolatry.
- 19:30They have a lot of different gods that they worship.
- 19:33And anyway they separate, that separates us from God idolatry.
- 19:42I mean, that's like one of the first commandments that God gave
- 19:45to worship the your, the one true God.
- 19:48And so that's what Egypt did and is also symbolic of.
- 19:53And all people who are, if you want to call us enemies of God
- 19:59before we, our eyes are opened, we're all sinners.
- 20:03We are all doing things against the one true God because our all
- 20:10mankind was corrupted. We are all sinful.
- 20:14The Bible clearly says that that every single person is a Sinner.
- 20:18There is no one good but God, so everyone's a Sinner.
- 20:22We are basically imprisoned into sin.
- 20:27Like we are captured, we don't even know it.
- 20:29We are manipulated by sin. We are trapped by sin.
- 20:33We are in slavery to sin. Just like the Israelites were
- 20:37enslaved in Egypt by other, you know, like if Egypt represents
- 20:43other gods, we are also in slavery to other gods that are
- 20:50not gods. And I think to take it a little
- 20:52step further, but this is only a theory, it's not proven.
- 20:56I think those other gods are actually fallen angels who
- 20:59wanted to be gods. And so they deceptively
- 21:04presented themselves as something like that to people
- 21:07and made people believe that they were God.
- 21:12So again, that's a theory, but it it's very probable from what
- 21:19is written in the Bible and what is written in the book of Enoch
- 21:232. So people are held captive by
- 21:28sin. They are lured in by seducing
- 21:31spirits. By I mean there's worshipping by
- 21:37power, by wealth, by sexual immorality, all of these things
- 21:43that we don't even realize because it's so common in our
- 21:46culture. And we don't even think any of
- 21:49this stuff is bad when we are not connected with God.
- 21:55We look at this as this is just normal.
- 21:57This is the way people are. And all those Christians are
- 22:00kind of the weird ones until our eyes are opened.
- 22:03So at that point we are in slavery.
- 22:07We don't get it. We don't understand it because
- 22:09our eyes have not been open to God.
- 22:11We don't know God. We may know of him, but we don't
- 22:15know him. We don't know the love of God.
- 22:18We don't know the compassion that He has on us and how
- 22:21desperately He wants us to love Him back and bring us into His
- 22:29Kingdom and give us an inheritance that He has planned
- 22:33since the beginning for those who who do turn to Him.
- 22:36So anyway, we're in slavery just like the Israelites were in
- 22:40Egypt. And no, they didn't know what
- 22:43they were getting their food and all the things they needed.
- 22:46They didn't even, I mean, they knew they were in slavery, but
- 22:49even when they escaped from slavery, they were, they were
- 22:53saying, oh, if we could just have the like these different
- 22:56foods that we had back then. But now here we are in the
- 22:59desert and it's just there's this transition where there is a
- 23:04longing for things of the past, for their slavery, their sinful
- 23:08state. But they are in during this 40
- 23:12days, which I believe is a testing period.
- 23:14And they're wandering around and each of us kind of goes through
- 23:17our own 40 days of testing. It's not really 40 days, but a
- 23:22period of time that is a testing period that God gives us when
- 23:28we're transitioning from our sinful orientation to coming on
- 23:36board with what God says is good.
- 23:39So anyway, in the Passover, the very first feast or festival
- 23:44that God has put in, the laws in Leviticus that you're supposed
- 23:49to celebrate these certain feasts, Passover was
- 23:53representative of Jesus death on the cross.
- 23:56Because just as we talked about a few moments ago, where the
- 23:59blood was placed on the doorpost, the frame of the door,
- 24:02that's what the Israelites were told to do so that when the
- 24:06Angel of death came by, their first born would not die.
- 24:11That was one of the plagues that God sent the Angel of death to
- 24:16kill all the first born and only the ones who were quote covered
- 24:22by the blood of the Lamb. The Lamb is symbolic of Jesus.
- 24:26Those were the only ones who survived, the only first borns
- 24:31who survived. So that again is symbolic of
- 24:36Jesus. Anyone who puts their faith and
- 24:39trust in Jesus will be spared death.
- 24:45The Angel of death was coming. We will be spared death when we
- 24:48put our faith and trust in Jesus in the blood of the lamb, in the
- 24:52blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross for us when we put our
- 24:56faith in that and that what what God did.
- 25:01So that's Passover. Then we have the next thing.
- 25:05This is like I'm saying the Gospel message like we are
- 25:08sinners, Christ came and died for us.
- 25:10So that's represented represented in Passover.
- 25:14The next thing is the the Feast of weeks or the Festival of
- 25:22Weeks, which are seven weeks of time.
- 25:26It's also called first fruits, and then it's also called
- 25:31Shavuot. And the last day of that period
- 25:36is the day #50 So it's also called Pentecost.
- 25:41Now all of those things. So it, it goes from in Passover
- 25:47starts with the feast, the, the, the barley harvest.
- 25:51And then when you get to the festival of weeks or the feast
- 25:56of weeks, at the end is the wheat harvest.
- 26:00It's kind of interesting that Jesus told a parable about the
- 26:03wheat and the tares growing together and let them grow
- 26:07together and don't pull out the tares or the weeds from the
- 26:11wheat. They look the same while they're
- 26:12growing. But when the angels come there,
- 26:15there will be a difference. The, the weeds are the evil ones
- 26:19will be bound up and put together for burning in the
- 26:25fire. And then the, the the wheat will
- 26:30be stored in the barn. I believe that's also
- 26:34representative of Jesus's, of Jesus's.
- 26:42Oh, shoot, just a moment please. I'm actually getting a call
- 26:50actually. OK, so Jesus's.
- 26:55I don't remember where I was now, so distracted.
- 26:57Sorry about that. OK, we're talking about the
- 27:03festival of weeks, the barley harvest.
- 27:06When Jesus comes and gathers his people, the angels gather his
- 27:11people, and I believe that those who have prepared themselves
- 27:18will be protected in a in a place prior to the wrath of God
- 27:28coming upon all people on the earth.
- 27:32And anyway, I'm going to pause right here for a minute just in
- 27:36case that call was an emergency. OK, let's get back to where we
- 27:40left off. Sorry about that.
- 27:43All right then. This was the second festival,
- 27:48Shavuot, which on Pentecost is when the Holy Spirit came.
- 27:54So think about these festivals. We have Passover that
- 27:58represents, you know, our sin, Jesus's atonement for our sin,
- 28:06then the Holy Spirit, the receiving of the Holy Spirit,
- 28:13and then the remaining to be fulfilled.
- 28:17Feast is the festival of tabernacles.
- 28:20And what's really interesting, this is called Sukkot, and this
- 28:24is where Israel currently puts up temporary structures.
- 28:28And it's a also a seven day period.
- 28:34So there's so much symbology in all three of these.
- 28:38The fest, the Feast of Tabernacles will be celebrated
- 28:43in the Millennium period. That's the one feast that
- 28:46remains that people will go. It's a joyous celebration.
- 28:50And this is a fall feast and it's a gathering.
- 28:54It's like the final harvest. And that is symbolic of the
- 28:59final harvest of people into probably the millennial Kingdom
- 29:05that where Christ reigns. So we have sin, then Jesus dying
- 29:10on the cross, then we have the Holy Spirit.
- 29:12And Jesus said you must be born again, born of the Spirit in
- 29:15order to enter the Kingdom of God.
- 29:17So the Holy Spirit comes. And then also when Jesus
- 29:21returns, remember he says about Israelite, the Israelites, He
- 29:25said, I will pour out on my spirit.
- 29:28I will pour out my spirit in those days, and I will give the
- 29:31people of Israel a heart of flesh and turn their heart of
- 29:36stone to a heart of flesh will that will be open to receiving
- 29:40the Spirit of God and then the best.
- 29:45The Feast of Tabernacles is the festival or the celebration.
- 29:49It's all complete. All of God's children are
- 29:53gathering together. And so it, if you look at the
- 29:58symbolism in what was given to the Israelites at the very
- 30:02beginning was the complete gospel message, although they
- 30:07didn't understand it. But now they'll probably look
- 30:09back on it and realize that this was the gospel message.
- 30:13And then the other thing is the #7 how significant it is.
- 30:17So Passover is or the Festival of Unleavened Bread, Passover
- 30:23starts it and then it's seven weeks and or not seven weeks,
- 30:28I'm sorry, seven days. So that's the number 7.
- 30:31Then you get the festival of weeks, which is 7 weeks.
- 30:35Then you get the festival of the Feast of Tabernacle Tabernacles,
- 30:40which is 7 days long, a celebration.
- 30:44And the number 7 is associated with God.
- 30:46The number 7 is associated with the days of creation.
- 30:49And you know that God rested on his last day of creation.
- 30:53And there are like 6 days that I think are allocated to mankind
- 31:01or 6000 years that are allocated to mankind.
- 31:05And then in the 7th year, that's a somewhat of a day of rest.
- 31:08There's going to be some big things happening during the
- 31:11time, that 7th year or that period of that from 6000 to 7000
- 31:19where Jesus reigns on the earth and it's going to be a day of
- 31:24rest because there's actually going to be peace on earth when
- 31:27Jesus returns. He's going to be restoring our
- 31:31land. It's just so amazing, like God,
- 31:34how God put all this together and it's been, you know, there's
- 31:39been a veil over our eyes where we don't see it, but all of a
- 31:42sudden we become enlightened by it and we see what God is doing
- 31:46and the promises that he has. So I just think this is so cool
- 31:50that to to recognize these things that God has done.
- 31:56So anyway, I'm going to get back to I forgot where I was, sorry.
- 32:01This is a pretty bad podcast as far as organization, lots of
- 32:06interruptions. So all right, let's start here,
- 32:10I guess at verse 21 and chapter 45.
- 32:14On the 14th day of the first month, you must celebrate
- 32:18Passover. This festival will last for
- 32:21seven days. The bread you eat during that
- 32:23time must be made without yeast. That's interesting.
- 32:27I just thought about this when I read this.
- 32:29So the bread, a lot of times the bread is like our nourishment.
- 32:34Jesus is also called the bread of life.
- 32:37And so the bread you eat, what we consume during this time must
- 32:42be made, must be made without yeast, made without sin.
- 32:48So there is this purification that God is getting the sin out
- 32:53of our life. That's what the Holy Spirit will
- 32:55begin to do to us when we accept the Holy Spirit, when we
- 33:00willingly say I want the Holy Spirit.
- 33:03And then Jesus will give us the Holy Spirit.
- 33:05And the Holy Spirit will begin to sanctify us, to change us, to
- 33:09make us what I think is the way God originally designed us for.
- 33:13But we don't, you know, we're so rebellious and we don't know
- 33:18what we were designed for. We don't know our purpose.
- 33:21But then the Holy Spirit will reveal our purpose.
- 33:24And anyway, it's just a beautiful thing that God does
- 33:28for us. So on verse 20, verse 22, on the
- 33:33day of Passover, the Prince will provide a young bull as a sin
- 33:38offering for himself and the people of Israel.
- 33:42Now my study Bible says that talks about the Prince being
- 33:46Jesus or the Messiah. I do not believe this because of
- 33:52this verse 22 where it says on the day of Passover the Prince
- 33:57will provide a young bull as a sin offering for himself and the
- 34:03people of Israel. So Jesus doesn't need a bull
- 34:07sacrificed for himself. The Messiah doesn't need a bull
- 34:11sacrificed for himself. So this is another Prince and
- 34:16there is some speculation and I think Amir thinks it also, but I
- 34:22thought it separately before I read Amir's book.
- 34:25I think it might be King David. So when Jesus returns, prior to
- 34:31his return, when he gathers people, I don't know if David's
- 34:35already been resurrected because when Jesus died on the cross,
- 34:39one of the Gospels said that graves were opened and there
- 34:44were people that walked around the city of Jerusalem.
- 34:47But it doesn't say anything more about it, which I find very
- 34:51questionable. Like, why didn't no one say like
- 34:55what happened to those people that came up out of the grave
- 34:59and walked around Jerusalem? I there was nothing, you know,
- 35:05like if you put that in the Bible, like, why wouldn't you
- 35:07say, well, they either went back into the graves or they
- 35:10disappeared or they rose up to the sky.
- 35:12I don't know what happened to them.
- 35:14The Bible doesn't say, but you know, was that just a preview of
- 35:19what was to come? Did some people get resurrected?
- 35:22Was maybe David in that group? Was that part of the first
- 35:25fruits? Those are all questions that I
- 35:27have. I don't have the answers and the
- 35:28Bible doesn't have the answers. As far as I've seen so far, I
- 35:32haven't found those answers. But we do know that when Jesus
- 35:37returns our one, he gathers his people.
- 35:40It says the dead in Christ will rise first and then after that,
- 35:45all of those who have prepared themselves who are still alive
- 35:49at the time that Jesus returns will be gathered up to him.
- 35:53So those people who are still alive, they're not going to
- 35:55experience a death. They're going to be like a like,
- 35:59I guess like Elijah, you know, I think Enoch was another person
- 36:06who didn't experience death. So I think it was Enoch and
- 36:13anyway from Genesis, but but there are a few people who
- 36:16didn't experience death that were just gathered to Jesus.
- 36:21And so that I think also is going to happen in the end
- 36:26because there will be some people that are living at that
- 36:28time. So anyway, the people that the
- 36:34dead in Christ that rise up, those are, you know, the we are
- 36:37made righteous by our faith. And there is evidence of Jesus
- 36:43all the way in the Old Testament because a lot of people say,
- 36:46well, Jesus wasn't around here at that time of the Old
- 36:51Testament. So what happens to all those
- 36:53people who died during the Old Testament?
- 36:55I believe Jesus was, in fact, I think Jesus actually visited
- 36:59with two angels when Abram was told that he was going to have a
- 37:04son and Abraham and Sarah. And so I think, you know, there
- 37:11were, and also in the burning Bush, the conversation between
- 37:15Moses and the person that was in the burning Bush.
- 37:19I think it may have been Jesus. So there are different
- 37:23interactions in the Bible that really make you question was
- 37:28that just because of the conversation that occurred if
- 37:31that was actually Jesus's presence?
- 37:33We know that Jesus was present with the Father at the time of
- 37:37creation. There was the Father, Son, and
- 37:39Holy Spirit that were all present.
- 37:42And if you look carefully at Scripture, the Hebrew word
- 37:46elohim was used, which is plural for God.
- 37:50So they are united in one spirit.
- 37:53And that's the probably the great mystery, but that it's, I
- 37:57don't know, it's it's as much of A mystery.
- 37:59I think I somewhat understand it now is that there is this one in
- 38:04spirit that happens, this blending.
- 38:07Not, I don't know, blending is not the right word, but the
- 38:10whole when the Holy Spirit comes to us, we become one in Christ.
- 38:15And that's what Christ prayed for to the Father.
- 38:18He said make them one is we are one and then Christ also says,
- 38:24you know, that he would be in US and we you know, there would be
- 38:27this like union and it's very much like what God says about a
- 38:32marriage where the 2 become one flesh.
- 38:35There is this oneness that occurs, and I'm just looking to
- 38:41Scripture that describes this. And someday there's going to be
- 38:46this like wonderful relationship between God and humans.
- 38:51And when we've been perfected, as Paul says, when Jesus
- 38:56returns, we will be given incorruptible bodies.
- 39:03So we will be changed in an instant, and so we will be made
- 39:08ready for the presence of God because as we have seen
- 39:14throughout Scripture that things need to be holy to be in God's
- 39:18presence or they will be burned up.
- 39:20And I think that's probably why things get burned up through
- 39:23God's wrath, because unholiness cannot be in the presence of
- 39:28God. And a lot of the rules that God
- 39:31gave us were protection so that we didn't die.
- 39:35I mean, he was always warning people about it, about his
- 39:38presence or he would make an area safe and would give, you
- 39:42know, this is what you have to do to be safe, to be in his
- 39:45presence. And we see from the Old
- 39:47Testament that many people were fearful when they saw God
- 39:50because they're like, I think it was Isaiah that said, oh, I'm a
- 39:53man of unclean lips. You know, I can't be in the
- 39:55presence of God. But then he was purified by a
- 39:58coal, something burning. And and that's like God testing
- 40:03us too, like we go through. Tests and trials here on earth,
- 40:07but that is for the purpose of purification, that God is let
- 40:12allowing some of these things happen to purify us and we just
- 40:17trust in God that God is going to make us whole in the end and
- 40:20he's going to restore everything because God is a good God and
- 40:24he's a God of love and there's a great promise, a great reward in
- 40:29the end. We just have to get through the
- 40:31testing period. So hope that wasn't too
- 40:35confusing, but now I'm going to get back to Scripture again.
- 40:37So verse 23, on each of the seven days of the feast, he will
- 40:42prepare a burnt offering to the Lord consisting of seven young
- 40:45bulls and seven Rams without defects.
- 40:48A male goat will also be given each day for a sin offering.
- 40:54The Prince will provide a basket of flour as a grain offering and
- 40:57a gallon of olive oil with each young bull and ram during the
- 41:02seven days of the Festival of Shelters or Tabernacles, which
- 41:06occurs every year in early autumn.
- 41:08The Prince will provide these same sacrifices for the sin
- 41:12offering, the burnt offering and the grain offering along with
- 41:15the required olive oil. So this is in the Millennium
- 41:19period. There's going to be these
- 41:21sacrifices that will be continuing and it says for the
- 41:27atonement, and I don't fully understand that right now, but
- 41:34it is clear in Scripture that this is going to happen.
- 41:38So I believe the word of God and I believe this will happen.
- 41:42So anyway, I'm going to wrap this up.
- 41:44This is kind of been another long 1 and it wasn't as well
- 41:47organized as I'd hoped it would be, but I apologize for that.
- 41:51But if you want to stay in the Word and please subscribe if you
- 41:56haven't already, if you found this helpful, please share it
- 41:58with others and I hope you come back.
- 42:03Thank you.
