- 0:07[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the Dog's Podcast with your hosts, Lake Renaker, Justin Charles, and Josh All.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, what's up, Browns fans, welcome back to another episode of The Dog's Podcast.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_03]: Josh, all your hosts today.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_03]: Bonus episode for you guys this week.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_03]: Happy New Year.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_03]: It is now January 20, 26, as always.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_03]: At least for me, I don't know about you guys, but it takes me a while to get used to writing 26 instead of 25 on checks and things, and all that kind of stuff.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_03]: But it is 2026.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_03]: We've got the final game of the brown season coming up on Sunday in Cincinnati against the bangles.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_03]: We've already done the preview episode in the discourse.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_03]: So if you guys missed that preview episode for the game, go check it out.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_03]: We talked a lot about head coaching and things like that.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_03]: There are some updates.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_03]: I wanted to touch you on here today.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_03]: And
- 1:02[SPEAKER_03]: As always with these bonus episodes, you guys sent me a ton of voicemails, a ton of feedback that I just, I did not want to push off in the next week.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_03]: I wanted to get to it now this week, hit you guys with some content for the weekend.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_03]: So here we go.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_03]: I did want to mention the college football playoff quarter final round is a wrap.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, um, fun stuff and you guys that probably understand already why I am not so thrilled.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, Ole Miss comes back beats Georgia last 1939 34 and then Indiana and Fernando Mendoza just.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_03]: Deem wrote Alabama was an even close 38 to 3, Oregon did the same thing to Texas Tech 23 to nothing, a shutout in the college football playoff.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_03]: So the first two games on yesterday on New Year's Day slate.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_03]: The losing teams combined for three points.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_03]: They were outscored 61 to three.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_03]: So the day games, the noon and the afternoon games on New Year's day were pretty boring.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty rough.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_03]: It really just watching to see Dante more and Fernando Mendoza at the top two projected quarterback prospects for the 26 NFL drafts, see how they performed.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_03]: Dante more.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_03]: So so.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_03]: Fernando Mendoza, pretty impressive.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_03]: And then of course, the one I didn't really want to talk about, or mention it all was on New Year's Eve, ringing in the new year with a freaking disappointing loss.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_03]: If you're a buck guy's fan like me, 24 to 14 Miami, B2, Ohio State, just pathetic game for Ohio State didn't look like they really wanted to be there from the jump.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_03]: And Miami wanted it more and they got it, they wanted it and they got it.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_03]: So there's your college football playoff update for the new year.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_03]: And now we are heading in to this final weekend for the Browns.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_03]: If you guys want more Browns content from us, you guys want to get into the dog pack community join the dogs dot com become an official dog pack member on the Patreon page sign or link sync up.

- 3:25[SPEAKER_03]: The first one that's not a preview show will be next weekend.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_03]: We will most likely be talking about a head coaching search.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_03]: That's join the dogs.com.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_03]: So head coaching search.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, there has been so much smoke around Kevin Stephansky and the Browns here.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_03]: This was really honestly the last several weeks.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_03]: You've got the reports coming out that Kevin Stephansky would be a top head coaching candidate elsewhere.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_03]: and he will, you know, get a job, get an opportunity if the Browns were to move on from him.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_03]: A whole lot of stuff that sounds like agents speak being put out via the media to sort of, I guess, pave the way for Kevin Safinski to move on from the Browns and into his next job.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_03]: There was a report that the Browns would be considering Mike McDaniels from the the head coach for the Miami Dolphins.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_03]: If they were to part ways with him and we let Kevin Sofansky go.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_03]: We talked on Tuesday on the preview show how I feel like it's going to be a neutral parting ways between the Browns and Kevin Sofansky.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_03]: They're not going to just fire him.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be Kevin Sofansky is stepping away from the Cleveland Browns or stepping down from his position.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yada Yada, all that kind of stuff.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_03]: I'm looking into the camera here and I realize I missed something I totally planned for today.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_03]: So excuse me pardon my interruption of myself.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_03]: This is the fantasy dog pack championship t-shirt that all of you winners in our dog pack leagues will be receiving the problem is why you haven't even received them yet is because I haven't designed them yet the back
- 5:06[SPEAKER_03]: You guys can see it here if you're watching on YouTube or anywhere else.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_03]: The back will have your championship roster.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_03]: from this season.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_03]: So I have to customize and personalize each shirt to the specific winner.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_03]: That will be done within the next week and those will be sent out to you.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_03]: If you are a dog pack winner and I have not reached out to you yet, via Discord or Patreon and you're listening to this right now and you could get a jump on this.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_03]: Just send me your shipping address.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_03]: If you're a winner and one of the leagues, send me your shipping address.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_03]: That will save me some time from reaching out to you to get it
- 5:42[SPEAKER_03]: You will be receiving these awesome championship t-shirts and all the bragging rights for winning your league this year.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, back to the content back to what I was talking about before I remembered that part of what I wanted to say.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_03]: There was a post by Mac Blank on X and if you guys don't follow Mac, I think he's Mac the buffalo or forget his hand looks like I should have looked it up here on Twitter.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_03]: Great follow.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_03]: Do knows ball.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_03]: He's very plugged into the Browns.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_03]: I get a lot of great insight from him.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_03]: He said the other day, and that now again, before I go even going to this, this is a rumor, okay?
- 6:20[SPEAKER_03]: There is no facts.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_03]: There are no reports.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_03]: This is just a rumor that he heard.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know who his source was.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously you don't reveal your sources on rumors and things.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_03]: He just, hey, this is take it for one of its worth.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_03]: He said that he heard.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_03]: Kevin Stephansky said the only way.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_03]: that he would be willing to remain the head coach of the Cleveland Browns in 2026 is if the Browns did whatever they had to do to move up to draft Fernando Mendoza.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_03]: which to me is a pretty unlikely to happen pretty unlikely to happen now again.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_03]: That's just a rumor.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not stating that as a fact.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know that at all.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just saying that's the rumor.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_03]: He posted he's not even saying that's a fact.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_03]: He's just saying, hey, this is what I heard.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_03]: So take it for what it's worth.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_03]: But Monday in the press conference Kevin Stephensky was asked,
- 7:14[SPEAKER_03]: If he would like to continue his head coaching tenure with the Cleveland Browns next season and Kevin's to Fancy's response was pretty typical to Fancy.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just focused on this game this week against Cincinnati, but I will say I'm very privileged to have this job.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_03]: He did not say.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm really looking forward to being here next year and beyond.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_03]: We had a lot of work to do.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, Bob, Bob, Bob, he could have solidified his stance as hell.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_03]: I'm the head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_03]: And I intend to continue this way, unless other people make a decision, you know, that that it shouldn't continue that way.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_03]: He did not do that.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_03]: And Tony Grossy has been on, on ESPN Cleveland this week.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: Kind of harping on that because I believe it was his question about, you know,
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: Are you looking forward to being here next year or whatever the the question actually was?
- 8:06[SPEAKER_03]: So we will see what happens, but we're just three days away from black Monday.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_03]: That's right, Brad.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: I know you got the countdown going.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: So there you go.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: Three days from black Monday.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_03]: We'll find out if Kevin's Fansky gets fired or mutual parting of the ways and all that kind of stuff.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_03]: I want to dive into your guys' feedback.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_03]: The messages you send, I got a couple of messages on the website.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: Again, if you want to leave a voicemail for the show, get your thoughts, questions, everything on the show here, go to thedogspodcast.com, tap leave voicemail on the dropdown menu.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_03]: There is an option you can record your message, listen to a back, make sure you like it.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_03]: You can record it.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_03]: You can record it as many times as you want before you send it in to make sure it's the way you like it.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_03]: Or if you don't want to send in your voice because you just don't like the sound
- 8:57[SPEAKER_03]: You can type a message, send it in that way.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_03]: There's a little box there where you can just type it away, send it in.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what Kevin did on the website.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_03]: He says, hey guys, big fan, been listening to you guys for about two years now.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_03]: I have to disagree with your takes on the Browns coaching job, not being attractive.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_03]: we just got in a really good rookie class with a top defense that is very attractive in my opinion.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_03]: Again, big fan of you guys.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_03]: This goes back to Tuesday's episode, the preview show.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_03]: Kenny Mac has kind of been the one I believe pushing this a little more about the job being not so attractive.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_03]: Blake might too, if I recall, from some of our Sunday night shows, about the Browns coaching job, not being very attractive to potential candidates this season.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_03]: and basically because of the state of the offense, the lack of any sort of real NFL personnel on the offensive side of the ball.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, the Deshawn Watson situation, the contract, the fact that he has to be here, so he's on the team, he's on the roster.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_03]: All that kind of stuff, and Kevin, if you've been listening, which is sounds like you have been, you know that I agree with you.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_03]: A, A head coaching job, a head coaching vacancy in the NFL.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, there are going to be, let's say there's five, I can't even think.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_03]: Now five or six openings this year.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_03]: You can rank them in order of most attractive to least attractive.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_03]: And if you did that, I'm sure the Browns would probably fall in the lower end of that list.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_03]: However, you have multiple coordinators every year.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_03]: You have multiple retread head coaches, former head coaches, guys who've stepped away for a few years, all looking to get back into this gig of head coaching, an NFL football team.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_03]: And there are only 32 opportunities to do that.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_03]: You only have five or six opportunities open.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: You probably have 20 people throwing their hat into the ring for these things.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_03]: Every position will get filled, now we'll get your top candidate, maybe not.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe not, but maybe that's okay, because listen, for me, my top candidate would probably be a Clinton Kubiak.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_03]: The offensive coordinator from Seattle, does Clinton Kubiak want to come to Cleveland?
- 11:10[SPEAKER_03]: Would that be his ideal spot to come coach this team?
- 11:13[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely not.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_03]: Because of the offense, but I agree with you Kevin.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_03]: We did have a very good rookie class and two of those rookies are on the defensive side of the ball.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_03]: You got Mason Graham.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_03]: You got Carson Swesinger.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_03]: And like you said, we had a top defense.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_03]: I said this on Tuesday.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_03]: I think the Cleveland Brownside coaching job could be very attractive to an aspiring defensive coordinator looking to become a head coach.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_03]: thing back a couple of years was that not not last year with the year before Mike McDonald ord.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_03]: That is name.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_03]: Mike McDonald.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_03]: I get him and McDaniel mixed up all the time.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_03]: The defensive coordinator for the Ravens took the head coaching job as Seattle.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_03]: And look, look how they've kind of turned things around.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_03]: You get a good offensive coordinator in there, like Clinkoobiac, and look what your team can be.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_03]: So while a defensive-minded head coach is not necessarily my preference, I think that you have to be very strategic and honestly kind of lucky with who you bring in as the offensive coordinator to run the offense.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_03]: But,
- 12:15[SPEAKER_03]: We do have a very good defense.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: So a defensive-minded head coach, a defensive coordinator looking to be a head coach, can come in here and say, I got Miles Garrett, I got Denzel Ward, Swesinger, Mason, Grim.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna bring back Devon Bush.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_03]: We've got Grant Delpit.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_03]: Like this, this defense is very attractive to come in here in coach.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_03]: And as long as you know somebody,
- 12:37[SPEAKER_03]: On the offensive side of the ball, who is you trust and you know they'd be willing to come in here and work with Shidorah Sanders and continue to develop him, bringing some offensive weapons in the draft, have a good free agency and work around guys like Harold Fanon and Quinschon, Joad Kinsen, Dylan Samson and these guys, it's not as unattractive as some brown fans might think it is, we're very close to the situation.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_03]: We're very close to this situation on how bad this team is and all that kind of stuff.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_03]: But you got to remember in the business side of things and the business world of the NFL, one of these CEO jobs of an NFL team, you're going to get guys, there's going to be competition for every position, every every vacancy.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_03]: So I agree with you Kevin, I think the Browns while they all fantasize the ball is in complete disarray.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_03]: The defense can be very attractive to an aspiring
- 13:36[SPEAKER_03]: I also wanted to shout out, Kane, from Ireland, I'm so sorry, man.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_03]: I keep forgetting, I'm pretty sure it's Ireland.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_03]: He's sending his message.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_03]: He's just a great follower of the show.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_03]: We've got some people from Scotland, Ireland, England, and I kind of get them intertwined international folks out there.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_03]: But I wanted to thank you for your message that you sent on the website.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_03]: It was before the Steelers game, actually last week, he sent his message, that's why I'm not.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_03]: reading it because it pertained to injury statuses for that game and everything so doesn't matter now but I did want to acknowledge that you send in a message and I do appreciate all of that.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_03]: So why don't we just take a quick break and we'll come back with your voice mail.

- 15:28[SPEAKER_03]: Here's fake.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: What is up?
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: It is Zach aka fake burns.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's Christmas Eve for me as I am leaving this voicemail.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and I'm sure it won't get played until after Christmas, but I just wanted to take a moment to say Merry Christmas to You guys that run this show.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: Um, to everyone watching to everyone in the dog pack.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: Um, Great time of year to let people know you appreciate them and, um, That you they mean a lot to you guys and this podcast is quickly became something that I look forward to.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Um, every day on my way to work.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I just wanted to
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: let the podcasts viewers and creators know that I appreciate them and hope they have a merry Christmas.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully the Browns give us a great Christmas gift by beating the squealers this weekend.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to see that.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm watching the game with my dad.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't get to do that very often anymore because I don't live in the Cleveland area anymore.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, super excited for that.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully Miles gets that sack record.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: Also, I need the dog pack community to root for the Carolina Panthers now that our season's pretty much over and hopefully into the playoffs because my best friend, Mitchell Evans plays for the Carolina Panthers born and raised in Akron area, Wadsworth, Ohio if you're familiar with the city.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's drafted this year of fifth round by the Panthers getting some good playing time some reception So either dog pack the route for the Panthers, but other in that so I want to say Merry Christmas to everybody go Browns All right Zach a lot to unpack there appreciate the voicemail and appreciate you.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for the shout out.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for the
- 17:04[SPEAKER_03]: You know, the appreciation of the podcast.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I'm going to do it for you guys.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_03]: We do it for the fans.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_03]: We love you guys, best audience in the world.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_03]: And the Browns did certainly deliver that Christmas gift, the win over the spoilers.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, I got to agree with you on the watching, the game with your dad thing, because I'm in the same situation as you, man.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_03]: I moved away from my hometown where for years.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_03]: Years and years and years, I could go over to my dad's house, my parents' house, I could watch the game downstairs with my pops every single week if I wanted to, and I feel like I should have taken more advantage and watched every damn game with him.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_03]: And when I had the opportunity, living just about five minutes away because now I'm almost an hour and half away.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_03]: For my dad and so we don't get to watch the Browns games anymore, but we still text back and forth throughout the game after the game I read some of his text sometimes on here.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's funny.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_03]: He is very He's been a Browns fan for a long time.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_03]: So he knows what's going on and what to expect all the time with this team So I totally understand all of that
- 18:07[SPEAKER_03]: Mitchell Evans the tight end for the Panthers.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_03]: It's funny.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_03]: I did not that's that's awesome that you know the guy He was somebody that I mocked to the Browns when I did mock draft up so last last pre-draft season several times Later in the draft because I knew we needed help at tight end and low and behold look at the Browns right now.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_03]: We still need help
- 18:27[SPEAKER_03]: at the tight end position because I know why everybody's saying, what do you talk about?
- 18:30[SPEAKER_03]: You got Harold Fanna Jr.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, we got Harold Fanna Jr. that ate back tight end the versatile weapon and he's awesome.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_03]: But we still need help at tight end in line blocking traditional type of tight end because guess who's not playing?
- 18:46[SPEAKER_03]: David and Joe Koo and guess who might not be here next year.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_03]: David and Joker, we really could have used a good, in my opinion, a really good, young, tight end to come in here and solidify that sort of tight end position for the Browns of Mitchell Evans, one of the guys out of Notre Dame.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_03]: I was very interested in, so that's cool.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_03]: I'll do that for you.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_03]: Zach, I'll root for those Carolina Panthers and Mitchell Evans.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_03]: All right, so moving on here, I got a couple of voicemails from Freddy.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_03]: Here's the first one.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_06]: Hey guys, this is Freddy from Queensland or Australia.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_06]: We are about 18 hours in front of you guys.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_06]: So a Sunday afternoon match is about a 4 a.m. wake up for me.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm religiously wake up every morning to watch it before work and dictate how good or bad my week is.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_06]: Been more bad weeks than good weeks recently.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_06]: But I really enjoy the podcast and it's pretty,
- 19:39[SPEAKER_06]: refreshing listening to takes.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_06]: I just wanted to say I think I agree with the general consensus of what you guys talk about.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_06]: If we draft a new quarterback, it's still going to be in the same situation, not being able to evaluate, so really just try and have to build their offense and see hopefully their rookies can follow up next year.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_06]: My only reservation is that I'm a little bit nervous that we've
- 20:09[SPEAKER_06]: and you see all the time teams have a really good season, they bounce back down the pecking order and just hope that's not the same with this rookie class that we've got and we can start to advance.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_06]: I think another positive as well, as we have a few guys on season ending I.R.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_06]: early on and I think they can come back to our place a lot.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_03]: for AM for AM on a Monday morning.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_03]: Could you guys, okay, guys in the States here, can you all imagine waking up at 4 AM Monday morning before your first day of work just to watch the damn rounds?
- 20:41[SPEAKER_03]: How are you going to work in a bad mood?
- 20:45[SPEAKER_03]: At least when we get to watch them Sunday, I wanna clock, we've got the whole afternoon and we get to sleep it off and then we're not so cranky other than just being upset that we're going to work on Monday morning.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_03]: I hear you, Freddie.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_03]: I hear you.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_03]: So that's pretty crazy.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_03]: 18 hours ahead.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for calling in from Australia.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_03]: As far as the rookie is go, I, so here's my thing with the Reheat class.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_03]: It appears like this was a home run aside from the stupid Dillon Gabriel pick, a home run rookie class for the Cleveland Browns.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I, I always hesitate to annoy anybody, or, you know, in this case, an entire class of players as elite or generation or any of this kind of stuff.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_03]: Until they've proven it over
- 21:35[SPEAKER_03]: a number of years.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_03]: I need to see the consistency because a perfect example of this.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_03]: Jed Wills back in 2020.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_03]: We took him 10 overall.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_03]: He had a great rookie season.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_03]: It looked like hey, the Browns found their left tackle with a future after Joe Thomas retired.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_03]: We are good at left tackle.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_03]: after that rookie season.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_03]: And then it just never transpired into any sort of consistency or any long-term help at the left tackle position whatsoever.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_03]: So while I love this rookie class, and I do expect all of these guys that have shown out and bought out this year to continue doing so and be on that career trajectory over the next however many years with the Browns, you have to at least reserve the reality or the possible outcome that some of them may not.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_03]: and it sucks to think that way, but it is a possible outcome for the situation because again, jet wheels, nobody after that rookie year would have said, oh, you know, three years down the road, this guy's going to be bench, he's going to be roster fodder because he's got poor effort and doesn't even want to play in the NFL anymore.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody would have predicted that.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_03]: We all thought we had the guy at left tackle.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_03]: And you see how our tackle position has been absolutely screwed ever since,
- 22:50[SPEAKER_03]: because he didn't pan out.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't project that to happen with any of our guys, but again, you gotta leave the possibility open because well, it's happened before.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_03]: And if it's happened before, it can unfortunately happen again.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, Freddie, let's get to your second one.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_03]: And here what you have to say.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_06]: Sorry, also, just wanted to say how good it was to meet the Steelers, I think I woke up the entire neighborhood, watching it outside, got a bit nerve-racking at the end there.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_06]: But I think it's always good to win matches rather than lose them.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_06]: The relevant of draft order just makes the whole obsession a little bit more digestible for all the players and guests amongst it.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, level you're doing.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_06]: Sorry I got quite off on the last one.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just walking the dog at the beach.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_06]: It's summer down here.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_06]: So, hearing you guys have winter and stuff.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_06]: You're just living Cleveland.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_06]: So I know what it's like.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_06]: But I hope you have a good winter and keep doing what you're doing.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_06]: Go grounds for football.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_03]: walking the dog at the beach while you're leaving a voice.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_03]: No, wait, just rub it in.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_03]: Rub it in, Freddie, that you are on the beach.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_03]: During summer, walking your dog, having a grand old time and we're sitting here freezing arc off in Northeast Ohio.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_03]: But you know you're talking to somebody from the international fan base, whenever they keep referring to the games as matches.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_03]: I just, I love this community.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_03]: I love how global this thing is.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_03]: And I love hearing from people from,
- 24:10[SPEAKER_03]: All over the world you guys, you guys are just great.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_03]: You guys are great.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_03]: Let's move on.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_03]: The next one here is from, we'll do this one from Mike.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: Hey Josh, I just wanted to say that I know you guys are very new to a long stador because
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, sometimes I hear y'all show, sometimes you guys are like more, it's not like y'all more in agreement about getting a new quarterback if y'all had the top two picks and unless Greenland just makes heaven and earth move and just go ahead and just get those top picks or whatever and get another quarterback.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't understand why Cleveland wants to give another rookie quarterback all the resources and help that should or did not have during the summer.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: Should or is getting many count training camp, OTAs, all of that in season right now at the back end of the season with his sixth start, he's getting runs with the ones.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously this is a problem to me because
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: we all see that he was better than Dylan Gabriel.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: So why was that wasted in that time?
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like the Cleveland Browns are just so dysfunctional and it just shows all the time, bro.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like it doesn't make sense to just go get another quarterback and give him all the resources that you didn't give to Sudor.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: And now we're questioning if he could be a franchise quarterback.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: When you then you didn't even put him in the best situations to do that.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: This team sucks.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: The old line sucks.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_01]: The defense still used a little bit more work, but Sador does not have what you guys need to actually get a good evaluation of him.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: And that's all I've seen.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: The context around him is just it just trash.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_01]: It sucks.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_03]: I'm with you, man.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_03]: And honestly, I don't feel like we're neutral on Sador Sanders.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if you watch show the other night, me and Blake, Kenny, we're very, very much, you know, it's
- 25:56[SPEAKER_03]: Now that we're especially now that we're outside that top two pick range has built around this kit.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_03]: Let's get some assets in here and see what this thing can be.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_03]: And I think the only reason really at least for us on this show that we were leaving the door open to the possibility of drafting the top quarterback.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_03]: If we had a top two pick was just for the fact that if you got that top two pick,
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: two years in a row and you don't take a quarterback with it like the opportunity there to take one of those top quarterbacks.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_03]: We at least have to be objective about it.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_03]: Now I'm not again, have not done draft prospect breakdowns or film reviews or analysis or anything like that yet still waiting till the season ends and all that kind of stuff.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if I'm going to come away saying Fernando Mendoza or Dante Moore, one of these guys are both these guys are worth moving heaven and earth to go get.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I have not done my film review yet, so I don't know exactly where I stand.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_03]: Again, I wasn't pounding the table for cam work last year until I went and watch the film and I was kind of blown away by what I saw in the film and I thought, this guy's got what I want to see in the NFL.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_03]: And I felt the same way about Shador just not to as strong of an extent, but
- 27:03[SPEAKER_03]: after watching Shidorah Sanders this year with the Browns.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_03]: And then just from what I saw yesterday watching Dante more, I feel like Fernando Mendoza is solidified as the top number one overall pick in the draft.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think there's, he could have a bad game here down the stretch of the college football playoff.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_03]: And I think he's already pretty much locked into that, the Raiders are going to.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_03]: More than likely have that top pick and take him.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sticking Shador, man, let's roll 2026 Shador Sanders, and I think for a lot of Browns fans who I'm trying to put this, trying to put this delicately.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to offend anybody.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to make anybody.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not trying to talk down or condescending anybody out there.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_03]: Not every Browns fan watches film and does prospect breakdowns.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_03]: Like that's okay, there are casual fans out there who just root for the team.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_03]: Watch the games and you have your opinions on the team and that's totally fine.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_03]: And I think for a lot of people who don't do the film stuff, which again, I don't expect everybody to.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_03]: That's totally understandable.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_03]: I never used to until I started doing this podcast.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_03]: you look at the draft capital investment and that's a lot of the supporting argument you have for for a player and if you're using a first round pick on a quarterback and I'm talking in the minds of a lot of people out there that means they're a better quarterback use a fifth round pick on a quarterback they're kind of a throwaway player.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_03]: Now, this situation to me is completely different.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_03]: I believe you got a first round, maybe second round if you want to argue whatever talent, in Shidorah Sanders, in the fifth round.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_03]: I think the Browns caught a break.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_03]: And for a team that does not catch very many breaks, at all, like hardly ever.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_03]: We caught one.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_03]: We caught a big freaking break that for some reason that we may never know.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_03]: The actual truth.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_03]: We may never know the reality of the situation, but he fell all the way to 140 for to us, to Andrew Barry who moved up.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_03]: I got to give him credit for that to get this kid.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_03]: And I do believe that the rift between Kevin's defense key and Andrew Barry stems a lot from this decision.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_03]: Because we all know Kevin's defense key wanted to
- 29:31[SPEAKER_03]: And I think, again, not reporting this, no facts.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_03]: Just my personal perspective, an opinion on this.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_03]: Andrew Barry said, fine, you can have Dylan Gabriel.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_03]: But if you should, should, should, should, or Sanders is still there at a certain point.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'm taking him and he did.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_03]: And he did, because I think Andrew Barry does believe in Shador Sanders.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_03]: So that's why I'm optimistic about his future here.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_03]: And I think, again, with the Sean Watson's contract on the book still and everything you invested, the draft pit cap, but all day ago, get him to have a, and I'm not saying that Shador Sanders is a franchise quarterback.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_03]: I can't do that yet.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_03]: I know a lot of people will.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_03]: Mike, and if you're one of those people, that's totally fine.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_03]: From what I've seen from Shador on the field, I believe he has franchise quarterback capabilities.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_03]: I need to see him develop those.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: I need to see the team invest in those.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_03]: And I need to see it come to fruition next year.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_03]: But that means I want to see him with that opportunity next year, because I think he can be.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: a franchise quarterback.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: Do I think he is already?
- 30:36[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not ready to say he is and I'm certainly not ready to say he's not because I think that the odds based on his play more than likely indicate he can and will be a franchise quarterback in the NFL then he'll be a bust.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_03]: I just I don't see him being a bust.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_03]: He's two damn good.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_03]: Two damn good.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_03]: I like the kid.

- 33:30[SPEAKER_03]: Let's do Hannah here.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_04]: Hey guys, what's up, it's Hannah again.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_04]: I, you know, listening to your guys' podcast, you guys made some really valid points about, you know, like Kevin's advanced key, and, you know, I might not agree with him all the time, but especially for Shador's sake, you know, maybe he is the key if, you know, we wanna keep Shador, we have to keep Kevin.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_04]: But there are people that need to go.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_04]: My biggest gripe was Kevin.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, I feel like as a fan of him now.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_04]: He said all these things, I mean, I know that you guys have said this before, too.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_04]: But like, he said all these things about Shador.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_04]: And Shador is going above what we expected because what we were told.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_04]: And so now it's just like, you've made this organization look like a joke.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_04]: And I, that's why I think the owners should take that into consideration, whether or not he gets these, you know, these last two wins and make themselves look a little better.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_04]: That doesn't take away from a disorganization, like when he is caused in the last several game.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_04]: You know, the wrong wristband, the, the, just the miscommunication all the way around, not trusting should or, you know, that's a big thing.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_04]: And for him,
- 34:52[SPEAKER_04]: That's just why big is great with him, and that he doesn't trust the doors, so how could I trust him to develop him?
- 34:58[SPEAKER_04]: Um, those are my thoughts thinking.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_03]: Well, thanks Hannah.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_03]: Appreciate the voicemail.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_03]: Always great to hear from you.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_03]: You know the stuff with Kevin.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, I do if If you want to my opinion, I think that the Browns are definitely parting ways.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_03]: Mutually with Kevin Stofingowski on Monday.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_03]: This will be Kevin's last gain coaching The Cleveland Browns now where where he goes after this what he does beyond this
- 35:23[SPEAKER_03]: To me, doesn't matter.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_03]: I know Blake would say, you know, okay, fine, get rid of Kevin, but he'll go somewhere and be successful.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_03]: That's fine.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_03]: I hope he does.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_03]: I hope he does.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_03]: I bet that's wish it's at the guy.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_03]: I like him.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's a good coach.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't think he's right for us because it's not working here.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's not.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_03]: It is like you said dysfunction.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_03]: It's falling apart.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_03]: the the wrong wristband thing was hilarious because I'm not sure I've ever seen that happen before to an NFL team, you know, the decision to call or to go for two when we were only down by 14 against the Titans cost us that game in my opinion.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, obviously the defense.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_03]: not showing up that day costs us the game ultimately, but should or Sanders gave us an opportunity to at least tie and go to overtime and compete in that game and Kevin Sevansky with his decision making, which has been a flaw of his over six seasons in Cleveland, go back to any season.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_03]: You can find games where his decision making has cost us a game or two here and there.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_03]: It just happens every year.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_03]: And that was one of those games here.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_03]: The Brown should have had that win at home against
- 36:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think the writings on the wall for Kevin.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_03]: There's so much smoke right now around him not being here next year.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_03]: He was very scurtered around the question of whether or not he even wanted to be here.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think he does.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think he wants to be here.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_03]: So, and I don't think he will be.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_03]: We will be talking head coaching candidates next week.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_03]: Actually here in three or four days, kind of crazy.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: that we're here.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: It's come quick, even though it's been brutal and painstaking to watch the whole way.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_03]: Last voice mail for the day this one is from Gabriel.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_05]: Hello, dogs podcast.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_05]: This is Gabriel.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_05]: I am setting this from Missouri.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_05]: Um, first of all, I'm not a Cleveland Brown fan.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_05]: I'm actually a tapbait buck in here's fan, but I'm a big fan of the show and I listen every single day I can.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_05]: Um, I've been listening to you guys since 2022 and your podcast has helped me through some very long days in my life and some very long days at work.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_05]: My question to you guys is what inspired you guys to start the podcast and what tips could you give to people who want to start a sports podcast?
- 37:38[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you guys, and as a Buckingham fan, I send my support to the Browns.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_03]: Go Browns.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_03]: Woof.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_03]: Alright, thank you Gabriel.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure you're not as happy with me now that I already agreed with Zach earlier that I would root for the Panthers and moving forward here.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_03]: But I would like, if you could call back, leave another voice, more drop a comment on YouTube somewhere.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_03]: As a buck in New York's fan, how are you feeling about Baker Mayfield because with the left shoulder injury this season, he has fallen off the face of the earth and your team is at risk of not making the playoffs.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_03]: talk about history repeating itself, deja vu for Brown's fans who lived this life back in 2021.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_03]: So I would love to hear from a bucks fan how you're feeling about Baker may feel right now because again, this is exactly the situation or very close to the same situation as what occurred in 2021.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_03]: As for the podcast, I appreciate the question, not
- 38:35[SPEAKER_03]: Not a lot of people ask, but I'm always happy to share the story of how this podcast got it's roots and everything.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_03]: So it was COVID 2020, everybody's home from work, and I was still working for my former company, but trying to create a podcast network on the side with bot some pod in me and another guy, bot some podcast equipment, and instead of starting our own podcast, we were helping other people during COVID, create podcasts because nobody could go in person.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_03]: to talk or to meet with people.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_03]: So the best way the best form of communication to get information out to people for a lot of agencies and organizations in our area was through podcasting and we had well I should we had the equipment zero knowledge.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_03]: No knowledge.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_03]: I had no idea what I was doing.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_03]: No expertise whatsoever.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_03]: I was just figuring it out as I went.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_03]: I had no clue what I was doing.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_03]: But
- 39:30[SPEAKER_03]: I knew that there was an opportunity there, so I created, I want to say close to 20 different podcasts for various people, organizations, what have you, businesses, to get information out to people when we could not actually meet face to face.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_03]: So what happened with the podcasting network, I wanted a sports podcast to include in my offering
- 39:54[SPEAKER_03]: from the network.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_03]: So I reached out to Blake who was one of my really good buddies from high school and we got really close during college and said, hey, listen, are you interested in starting a Cleveland Browns podcast because Blake's had a little experience doing radio before and he said, yeah, absolutely, let's give it a shot.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_03]: And I said, do you know anybody else who would be interested in doing this type of thing?
- 40:17[SPEAKER_03]: You said, I know a couple of guys.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_03]: So the first night that we met,
- 40:22[SPEAKER_03]: to do the very first episode of the podcast, Blake walks in with two people named Justin Charles and Zachary Cop.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_03]: And if you remember way back, which you probably don't, because I don't think you were probably listening back in the beginning.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_03]: I don't blame anybody.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_03]: It was not very good to begin with.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_03]: But.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_03]: Zach Coff was one of our original hosts.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_03]: He was our original stats guy.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_03]: He was really big into that and brought a lot of good content to the show.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_03]: He got really busy with life and other job opportunities.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_03]: So he stepped away and then it was just me Blake and Justin and you know, John Nye for a little bit.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_03]: If you guys remember John, but that was the first night I ever met Justin Charles and a long and suing friendship has come out of that.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, you know, the podcast network kind of died out as COVID wound down and people started getting back out there and able to talk to people in person, not everybody and hardly anybody really continued on with their podcast because here's the thing I want to get to, advice for podcasting.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_03]: Number one, just start.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_03]: That is the biggest hold-up for anybody who's ever thought, hmm, I kind of want to start a podcast.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_03]: You know why, if you've ever thought that you kind of want to start a podcast, but you've never started a podcast, I can tell you exactly why you've never started a podcast.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_03]: because you've never started a podcast.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_03]: You have to start it, just do it.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_03]: Just my advice to anybody out there, you gave your own anybody else.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_03]: If you're even thinking about, man, it might be kind of cool to do a podcast.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: Do it, just jump in, dive in head first.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, if you've got questions about equipment or software to start up with, just,
- 42:01[SPEAKER_03]: Send me an email, bark at thedogspodcast.com.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be happy to help you guys.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_03]: I'll send you a short list.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's a very short list of what you actually need to get started, because you don't need much.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_03]: To get started, my advice to anybody out there is just do it.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_03]: Just do it.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_03]: And then my second piece of advice for anybody thinking about starting a podcast would be.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_03]: keep going.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_03]: Keep going because from my experience helping other people with podcasting and starting their own podcasts episode 10.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, a lot of people don't even reach episode 10 and I would say 95 or more percentage people don't make it past episode 10 of their podcast and the reason being
- 42:47[SPEAKER_03]: You're first of all, I think people overthink it.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_03]: That's another piece of advice.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_03]: You don't need a format, you don't need a schedule, you don't need, you know, I gotta do this segment or that or I gotta make sure, just whatever you're talking about, whatever your podcast subject matter is, make sure it's something you're passionate about.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_03]: Because if it's not, then you will never make it to episode 10.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_03]: You won't make it to episode five.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_03]: You have to be passionate about what you're talking about.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the only way you're going to have the the will power to grind through and do what I said there on my second piece of advice is keep going because you're going to put a lot of work a lot of thought and effort and excitement you're going to be so excited to release first of all to record to publish to to release that first episode and then you're going to get one listen.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_03]: two views.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_03]: If you do a video podcast, which I do recommend, make sure you have a video component to your podcast.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_03]: Could be something as simple as throwing up an iPhone and just recording yourself talk.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_03]: That's how we did it when we first started.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_03]: And if you're our first episode, the iPhone was on a tripod and it was an electronic tripod and the power of the tripod.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_03]: Halfway through the show on the phone just boom.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_03]: So we had to stop cut and fix the things.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_03]: Good times.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_03]: Good times all the things you run into.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_03]: But start your podcast.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_03]: Keep going.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_03]: Don't stop because you have to fight through the grind.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_03]: You're not going to get listen.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_03]: You're not going to get views to start with.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_03]: But you have to keep going.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_03]: And another piece of advice obviously would be you have to promote yourself.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_03]: You have to market what it is you're doing.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_03]: So if you are going to start a podcast, make sure you start social media channels for that podcast because you're going to work very hard to create your content.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_03]: And then you need to turn around and make your content work for you, okay?
- 44:51[SPEAKER_03]: Take your content that you work to create and put it on social media and put it to work for you.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_03]: That's how you gain your following and that's how you gain more support for your show and what you're trying to do.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_03]: If you guys have more questions about starting a podcast, my experience with doing the show and all this kind of stuff, I am happy to help anybody with this because I love
- 45:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's wonderful.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_03]: There's no regulations on podcasts.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_03]: I could say whatever I want.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_03]: I can cuss if I want to I can I can go for 30 minutes.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_03]: I can go for 60.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_03]: I could go for 42 minutes and 39 seconds if I want to.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_03]: I there is no There's no regulations you can do whatever you want make this show whatever you want make it about whatever you want.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_03]: I love it.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_03]: So

- 45:57[SPEAKER_03]: So I appreciate the question Gabriel, thank you for giving me an opportunity to talk a little bit more about that.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_03]: And I guess one last piece of advice, just have faith.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_03]: just have faith that if God has placed a dream on your heart to do a podcast, to talk about whatever it is you're talking about.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_03]: Okay?
- 46:17[SPEAKER_03]: Again, people might say, oh, God's not gonna say, well, you should talk about the Cleveland Browns.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_03]: We're not.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_03]: Why not look how many people I've had an opportunity to reach out and touch through the podcasting platform over the last five, six years.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's been huge.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's been huge.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_03]: And I try to have as positive an impact as I can.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_03]: even though we're dealing with a very negative subject matter for the most part with this team.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_03]: But just have faith, have faith in what you're doing, have faith in yourself, believe in yourself, and just start.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_03]: Just start.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_03]: Don't, don't try to make the first episode perfect because it won't be.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care how long you plan.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_03]: The longer you plan, probably the worse it's going to be.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_03]: Just do it.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_03]: just start.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_03]: It will not be perfect and as long as you continue and you grind through that first episode will be in the rear view mirror long, just you won't even have to worry about it anymore, because it will be the worst episode you ever do.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_03]: I guess think about it that way.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_03]: The first episode will be your worst.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_03]: So don't overthink it and don't put too much into it.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_03]: Just do it.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_03]: Just get started.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_03]: Alright, I appreciate you guys happy new year.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_03]: I hope everybody had a safe and happy New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Washington football, you didn't cry too much when the buck guys craft the bed, and let's get ready for the Browns on Sunday down in Cincinnati, wrapping up the season finally.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_03]: This fricking thing is going to be over, and we can move into the Brown Super Bowl window, which is, of course, trash season.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_03]: You guys know how it is.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_03]: You know how it is if you're a long time Browns fan, we've got a lot of good things to talk about.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_03]: After this weekend, hopefully Miles Garrett gets this sack record.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_03]: He's got one game, four quarter 60 minutes as he put it to get it done.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_03]: He said it'll get done.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to hold him to it.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_03]: I'm telling you guys if we came all this way for him to just come up a half a sack short of even tying the record Oh, I'm going to be kind of pissed.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know about you guys.

- 49:02[SPEAKER_03]: the Brown's Bangle's game, do the Brown's End on a win, do the End on a loss, do we sack Joe Burrow?
- 49:09[SPEAKER_03]: There's actually stuff to watch for in this game.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_03]: The big one is obviously seeing continued development from Shador Sanders play a mistake-free game or at least a terrible.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_03]: You can't play a mistake-free in the NFL, but can you play a turnover-free game for the first time?
- 49:25[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what we're looking for.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see you guys Sunday night, let's go Brownies.
