- 0:01Speaker 1: Because you That's why, is a founding member of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome to b F y t W Because
- 0:40Speaker 2: fuck you, That's why. The panel show inspired podcast where
- 0:43Speaker 2: we play silly games amongst our players. But guess what,
- 0:47Speaker 2: we've got more players today. We have special guests.
- 0:54Speaker 3: We're not just playing with ourselves this week.
- 0:57Speaker 4: I mean you always are, but yeah.
- 1:00Speaker 2: From the from the upcoming podcast upcoming Running on Hamster Wheel.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Running the Hamster, Running the Hamster Wheel, we have CJ
- 1:11Speaker 4: and Julie. Hi guys, Hello guys.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Always important to get the name right before you introduce them.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Well done, Aaron, Well done me. Soon to be found
- 1:26Speaker 2: in every podcast app you can imagine, and probably more
- 1:29Speaker 2: than that. Hi guys, how are you welcome to b
- 1:32Speaker 2: F y t W. C J. You've been here a
- 1:34Speaker 2: bunch of times and you've lost most of the time,
- 1:36Speaker 2: but you're going to get a win this time. Julie,
- 1:41Speaker 2: we're just gonna be silly. We'll go around and do
- 1:43Speaker 2: proper introductions. First of all, he is a gamer and
- 1:47Speaker 2: a storyteller, and he used to be my youngest friend.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Now he's just oggy.
- 1:50Speaker 5: Hello, it is I used to be youngest friend.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Used to be, and I always like to do introductions
- 1:57Speaker 2: with the question, So, Oggie, what is a surprising fact
- 2:01Speaker 2: that you've learned recently.
- 2:05Speaker 5: That all crustaceans are slowly becoming crab?
- 2:07Speaker 3: Damn it really?
- 2:10Speaker 6: Uh?
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:11Speaker 2: Is evolution forcing crustaceans.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Towards I always kind of was.
- 2:16Speaker 5: I've heard this theory in college once before, but I
- 2:18Speaker 5: kind of skimmed over it because there's already enough information
- 2:20Speaker 5: to remember as is interesting. But it had come up
- 2:24Speaker 5: again recently, and then I had shown Stevie actually recently,
- 2:27Speaker 5: which is why he we actually he did that. Yeah,
- 2:30Speaker 5: crustaceans specifically, that it seems to be the most ideal
- 2:35Speaker 5: form for them to take in the environment they live in.
- 2:37Speaker 5: So all crustaceans are slowly becoming crab, and that there
- 2:40Speaker 5: are actually many other creatures out there who have been
- 2:43Speaker 5: falsely labeled crab that are actually probably more related to lobsters.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Oh that's interesting.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Wow, Like I think the king crab is not a crab. No,
- 2:53Speaker 5: it's more like a lobster. No, king crab is more
- 2:57Speaker 5: like a hermicrat.
- 2:58Speaker 2: It's the first time and some time that you've just
- 3:00Speaker 2: immediately answered the question correctly.
- 3:02Speaker 5: I think, so because and you know what, it was
- 3:04Speaker 5: an animal question time.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Most of the time I asked, you do you give
- 3:08Speaker 2: me a non answer? Like most of the time, we
- 3:11Speaker 2: decided to watch stuff before the show, and I apparently
- 3:14Speaker 2: this one right into his wheelhouse. Well done. Uh And
- 3:17Speaker 2: on his team he's a veteran and a podcaster, and
- 3:20Speaker 2: I guess that makes him a veteran podcaster. It's Stevie.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Yoh, what's up everybody? How y'all doing.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Stevie, what's the surprising fact that you learned recently?
- 3:28Speaker 3: I already forgot it? Damn it.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Crap.
- 3:34Speaker 3: I swear I had one. And I'm just like, he's
- 3:36Speaker 3: talking about me.
- 3:37Speaker 2: You even had like a solid minute. Man, I did
- 3:40Speaker 2: too something.
- 3:40Speaker 3: And I'm like, I don't you want me to come
- 3:43Speaker 3: back to you? What about the trash thing? There's a
- 3:45Speaker 3: trash thing. Oh my gosh, there's like this thing going
- 3:49Speaker 3: on right now.
- 3:50Speaker 7: We're these boats right they're going through and they've got
- 3:54Speaker 7: a two kilometer line attached to him in this giant
- 3:58Speaker 7: underwater net and they've been lecting all the floatable plastics
- 4:02Speaker 7: and stuff in the ocean. And they say, by twenty
- 4:06Speaker 7: forty eight, twenty forty eight are gonna be able to
- 4:08Speaker 7: get ninety five percent of the plastics that we put
- 4:11Speaker 7: into the oceans out of there just by using this technology.
- 4:15Speaker 7: It's really freaking cool how they do it. It's it's really
- 4:17Speaker 7: neat to watch.
- 4:18Speaker 3: So check that out. Yeay Earth interesting Also, Yeah, go Pluto.
- 4:24Speaker 3: People know why Earth Day's coming up.
- 4:26Speaker 7: And I'm not gonna fucking throw shade at Pluto because
- 4:29Speaker 7: some people are assholes.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Okay, well, thank you for that well so much. Yeah,
- 4:34Speaker 2: and now onto our guests. I made you go second
- 4:38Speaker 2: so I could give you some time to come up
- 4:39Speaker 2: with something if you didn't already have one. Uh, I
- 4:42Speaker 2: guess we'll start with CJ DJ's an't that's what's going on, buddy.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Hey, it's great to have you back, dude. I love
- 4:47Speaker 4: this part of the show. It's one of my friends.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I love what is What is a surprising fact that
- 4:53Speaker 2: you learned recently?
- 4:55Speaker 4: So honestly, it's interesting because I literally just hard to see.
- 4:58Speaker 4: I think it was yesterday or the day before that
- 5:00Speaker 4: tornado alley has shifted north through the ecological changes it
- 5:05Speaker 4: used to go through like Oklahoma. It's actually now unfortunately
- 5:07Speaker 4: coming through my state. But it is you know, uh, yeah,
- 5:12Speaker 4: which is great for me considering it starts like next week.
- 5:14Speaker 4: But that's point tornado season. But yeah, no, but apparently
- 5:19Speaker 4: the changes to the environment have actually shifted tornado alley
- 5:23Speaker 4: further north in the United States over the last like
- 5:26Speaker 4: fifteen years or something, in which I find to be
- 5:29Speaker 4: a very interesting fact but also not terribly surprised about
- 5:32Speaker 4: it either.
- 5:33Speaker 3: So Canada, No, that's where it's going.
- 5:37Speaker 2: It's going north.
- 5:38Speaker 3: You got to go the other way to Florida.
- 5:42Speaker 4: No, because then you hit you know.
- 5:44Speaker 8: No, I don't want that bigger hurricanes. That's enough.
- 5:49Speaker 2: But yeah, all right, well, thank you to the trash
- 5:52Speaker 2: pile of the Pacific.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Said it that way.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Throw the trash everywhere and have a start over it.
- 6:00Speaker 4: By twenty eighty at this point, we'll get it cleaned up.
- 6:05Speaker 2: And finally, Julie, Hi, welcome to the show.
- 6:08Speaker 8: Hey, thank you.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Do you have a surprising fact? No is an acceptable answer,
- 6:14Speaker 2: I actually do.
- 6:16Speaker 8: Okay, I just learned that octopuses have three hearts, and
- 6:22Speaker 8: two of them stop while they're swimming.
- 6:26Speaker 2: That I didn't know. I knew they had three hearts,
- 6:28Speaker 2: but I didn't know two of them stuff when they swim.
- 6:30Speaker 3: That's why why would be though crazy.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I guess for like motor skills coordinations, because they only
- 6:38Speaker 2: can't have blood pumping in multiple directions at once.
- 6:42Speaker 7: Well they are just that for years, yes, sure, like yes.
- 6:49Speaker 8: But they have ten tentacles.
- 6:51Speaker 5: Yeah, and it all work, and there's evidence to show
- 6:57Speaker 5: that they all work independently of like the main brain,
- 7:00Speaker 5: I just know.
- 7:00Speaker 2: What to do.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Yeah, it's they are bi crazy. Yeah, it's I could
- 7:08Speaker 3: go all day with.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Those, with the sea, the ocean facts day between the
- 7:14Speaker 4: I mean, God.
- 7:16Speaker 5: Was like ungulates and mammals and for some reason, I'm
- 7:19Speaker 5: all on his fish cake.
- 7:23Speaker 2: And finally, I am your host Pencils Aaron. And the
- 7:25Speaker 2: surprising fact that I learned is that last week apparently
- 7:29Speaker 2: we got a massive influx of listeners from Vietnam.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Yes, yes, that's interesting.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Really interesting to me. So to all of our Vietnamese listeners,
- 7:40Speaker 2: I'd just like to say, snow very nice and welcome,
- 7:46Speaker 2: and I hope you enjoy the show. You I'm not
- 7:49Speaker 2: sure why you're here, but I'm.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Glad, thank you.
- 7:53Speaker 2: That was all.
- 7:53Speaker 7: Yeah, because there was from multiple different locations.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. It was all over Vietnam, like city
- 8:00Speaker 2: you've heard of. And then something you haven't.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it was awesome.
- 8:03Speaker 2: I was just kind of mind blown staring at the figures, like.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Okay, we appreciate your dong.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Hell, dong is the Vietnamese currency, so we don't.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Yes, So does that mean that your patreon costs five dong?
- 8:26Speaker 2: Like, I don't know how much.
- 8:28Speaker 4: I don't know exchange it might be different.
- 8:32Speaker 2: It might be more hard to say how much.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Dog, And there they go.
- 8:38Speaker 3: They're all gone, being Mike E W definitely worth the dong.
- 8:41Speaker 2: This is Yeah, though, this is so thoroughly appropriate for
- 8:47Speaker 2: our first game. I apologize speaking which. It's time for
- 8:52Speaker 2: our games. We're gonna play three silly games. Each game
- 8:54Speaker 2: is worth a certain amount of points. Every team wins
- 8:57Speaker 2: gets nothing of value. It's all for fun, but hopefully
- 9:01Speaker 2: we have a good time. Game one is called have
- 9:03Speaker 2: I Got Absurd News for you? I have three news
- 9:06Speaker 2: stories here, and all our players have to do is
- 9:08Speaker 2: tell me which one of these stories I consider to
- 9:11Speaker 2: be the most absurd news story of the week. Whichever
- 9:14Speaker 2: team gets this CRT, or if neither team does, whichever
- 9:17Speaker 2: gets the second most absurd story will win the game
- 9:20Speaker 2: and earn one episode point. So let's get start. We're
- 9:24Speaker 2: gonna go over each story individually, and then once we've
- 9:26Speaker 2: covered all three, we'll go back and teams will make
- 9:28Speaker 2: their decisions. So first up is this story. Yes, bizarre
- 9:39Speaker 2: epidemic of penis theft leads to multiple arrests in Tanzania. Yes,
- 9:45Speaker 2: Tanzania is experiencing a bizarre epidemic of genitalia thievery. But
- 9:53Speaker 2: the people getting arrested are not the not the supposed thieves,
- 9:59Speaker 2: but the big ms. So in multiple cases, men have
- 10:05Speaker 2: been claiming to lose their penises due to black magic
- 10:09Speaker 2: used by their enemies, and then using this claim as
- 10:12Speaker 2: a pretext, they are inciting mob violence against the alleged perpetrator.
- 10:20Speaker 3: I don't think there's any amount of money somebody could
- 10:23Speaker 3: give me to do that.
- 10:25Speaker 2: These penis protecting vigilantes have then beaten people, smashed their houses,
- 10:30Speaker 2: stolen their property, and in one case murdered someone. Oh
- 10:34Speaker 2: shoot after unfounded genital theft claims, So Tanzania's government has
- 10:40Speaker 2: been forced to issue a public warning against penis theft fraud.
- 10:46Speaker 7: I believe you have to present me the penis first
- 10:48Speaker 7: to make sure this matches your wound.
- 10:52Speaker 4: You're a liar, You're a liar, to ask a question here,
- 10:56Speaker 4: No you can.
- 10:57Speaker 2: I don't know if I can answer it fair enough.
- 11:01Speaker 4: So these people are still walking around with their genitalia
- 11:03Speaker 4: despite the fact that they claim it's gone, Like there's
- 11:06Speaker 4: if you photographed this person, they would still have a
- 11:08Speaker 4: penis on their bodies.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I mean, I guess, so I don't know if they're
- 11:12Speaker 2: wandering around showing or maybe the people doing this have
- 11:18Speaker 2: micro penises to begin with.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Because you said presumab to six inches, because you said's.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Gone, this must be black magic.
- 11:28Speaker 4: I mean I was just wondering, you presume theft so
- 11:31Speaker 4: like that that you know, like it it's hard to prove,
- 11:34Speaker 4: you know, unless there's actual missing genitalia, like.
- 11:37Speaker 2: I mean, these these I mean, the theft part of
- 11:41Speaker 2: the case is not what's being brought before.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Like I get that towards.
- 11:47Speaker 8: I think the rioting is the issue, not the.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I like, writing without cause is definitely wrong. But
- 12:01Speaker 4: if you're getting I mean, if someone stole my penis,
- 12:03Speaker 4: I think i'd rite. I'm not gonna lie.
- 12:06Speaker 5: Because my first thought was like, oh my god, they
- 12:08Speaker 5: have like just people are just getting castrated. Yeah anything
- 12:13Speaker 5: until now and now it's like no, it's it seems
- 12:17Speaker 5: it was more like a mass castration, and now it
- 12:19Speaker 5: seems more like a really bad TikTok trend.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Well, the minister in the Tanzanian government has dismissed this
- 12:28Speaker 2: superstition as nonsense and warned of serious punishment against anyone
- 12:32Speaker 2: claiming that their banana has been stolen.
- 12:36Speaker 4: So that is that officially how he phrased it, Because
- 12:38Speaker 4: that's amazing. If it is, no, it's okay, that.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Is I'm going to say that's one. There's a hidden
- 12:46Speaker 3: game here.
- 12:46Speaker 5: I didn't I didn't think they'd be able to find
- 12:49Speaker 5: an updated version of the Boy who Cried Wolf. But
- 12:52Speaker 5: I think we found the updated version of the Boy
- 12:54Speaker 5: who Cried Wolf. Oh, the man who cried lost penis.
- 12:58Speaker 8: Penis?
- 13:01Speaker 3: Oh that's crazy, man. You're right, that is absurd.
- 13:04Speaker 5: And now you're gonna get arrested.
- 13:05Speaker 3: And if they lose their penis.
- 13:06Speaker 2: They're fucked. Alright, anything else to say before we move
- 13:11Speaker 2: on to story number two? All right, we're good, all right?
- 13:15Speaker 2: Story number two. VW Beatle found suspended from Canadian.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Cliff is all loud there anymore?
- 13:24Speaker 2: In late March, a bright red VW Beatle mysteriously appeared
- 13:30Speaker 2: on a cliff known as a popular rock climbing destination
- 13:35Speaker 2: near Squamish, British Columbia, and it took some time, but
- 13:40Speaker 2: eventually a group of engineering students from the University of
- 13:43Speaker 2: British Columbia claimed responsibility for the stunt. Well, they got
- 13:47Speaker 2: their media attention and probably could give each other high
- 13:51Speaker 2: fives for a nation successfully pranked, but the students had
- 13:55Speaker 2: no intention of taking the car down afterward. Oh so,
- 14:01Speaker 2: local authorities are upset because they had to spend money
- 14:03Speaker 2: to get the potentially dangerous car, which was just suspended
- 14:07Speaker 2: by cables back on solid ground. Rock climbers got angry
- 14:12Speaker 2: because their favorite climbing spot got shut down, and the
- 14:16Speaker 2: local First Nations were pissed because the students desecrated a
- 14:20Speaker 2: sacred rock formation.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Yeah okay, then I could see that being an issue. Damn,
- 14:26Speaker 3: I mean yeah, that's kind of fucked up.
- 14:30Speaker 7: Like they should have taken it down after the frank
- 14:32Speaker 7: was done, Like they should have been like okay, now
- 14:34Speaker 7: we I mean dismantle it, yeah, right, like the.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Damaging any our senior prank in high school. They literally
- 14:43Speaker 2: took up toilet and put it on home plate on
- 14:45Speaker 2: the baseball field. That was it. And literally the the
- 14:49Speaker 2: the administration said haha, very funny, now please clean it up,
- 14:52Speaker 2: and the students cleaned it up like that was all
- 14:55Speaker 2: there was to it, you know, they just they just
- 14:58Speaker 2: took care of the mess and you know, oh god,
- 15:00Speaker 2: you know, very funny, but let's clean it up.
- 15:03Speaker 8: Now.
- 15:03Speaker 3: The adults know our school.
- 15:05Speaker 5: Because there's so many farmers in the area, they all
- 15:07Speaker 5: rolled their tractors in.
- 15:11Speaker 8: Fair I imagine they could like find them or something, though when't.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I'd assume that they could probably.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Dismantle it and then just find all the kids.
- 15:25Speaker 8: Fun yeah, like just find them for vandalism or whatever.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Like here's your five hundred dollars ticket or whatever it cost.
- 15:33Speaker 4: I think it'll be littering before vandalism technically, wasn't it.
- 15:36Speaker 3: I mean they brought it there.
- 15:38Speaker 2: According to the British Columbia Parks the car posed a
- 15:41Speaker 2: serious public safety threat. It wasn't attached to the cliff
- 15:44Speaker 2: and anyway besides the cables, so a strong storm could
- 15:46Speaker 2: have caused it to swing around like a pendulum.
- 15:49Speaker 5: Oh gee, so they could get in trouble for danger man,
- 15:51Speaker 5: and if the cables were to break, the call could
- 15:54Speaker 5: fall onto a busy highway below.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Why would you dangle it over a high way?
- 16:00Speaker 5: Okay, now that's actual, like premeditated ship.
- 16:04Speaker 3: They're actually super villains.
- 16:05Speaker 7: This whole thing is a supervillain employ.
- 16:10Speaker 5: My mind was, okay, this is like a middle of
- 16:12Speaker 5: like some national park thing, yeah, woodland area or whatever.
- 16:18Speaker 5: I'm like, Okay, it's out of the way, it's in
- 16:19Speaker 5: protected land. It's kind of stupid. Why would you do that?
- 16:22Speaker 5: Pay the fine, help them get it down whatever. No,
- 16:25Speaker 5: you put it over a fucking highway that people use.
- 16:28Speaker 3: You are trying to kill someone.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Yeah, that takes it. That's a whole notch up from
- 16:31Speaker 4: like throwing over.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Rank.
- 16:34Speaker 3: That is straight up a trap you're setting.
- 16:38Speaker 8: That's like a Despicable Me episode.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Wait wait, wait was it coyoting to catch a road runner?
- 16:44Speaker 4: That that feels like a roadrunner traps?
- 16:47Speaker 5: See if they would have spray paid ACMEA on the car,
- 16:49Speaker 5: then it would have been a funnier brank Yeah, I
- 16:51Speaker 5: would have been.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Now it's now it's almost murdered. It's so I just
- 16:55Speaker 2: took a deeper look. And these engineering students have done
- 16:58Speaker 2: this before.
- 16:59Speaker 3: The same thing.
- 17:00Speaker 2: They've been doing it since the early nineteen eighties. The
- 17:07Speaker 2: most famous undertaking is when they suspended a similarly red
- 17:12Speaker 2: BW beetle with the letter E on it off the
- 17:15Speaker 2: Golden gate Bridge in San Francisco.
- 17:18Speaker 4: What mm hmm, what is it with the beatle? Like,
- 17:21Speaker 4: why is it?
- 17:24Speaker 7: Oh, it's because the way the engine is how you
- 17:27Speaker 7: have it, Caesar suspects the engine in the bottom of
- 17:29Speaker 7: it counterbalance. Yeah, because the front still has the hard frames.
- 17:33Speaker 7: You can still suspend from the top.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Where is this engineering knowledge coming from?
- 17:40Speaker 4: You did work on tanks in the Air Force, I
- 17:42Speaker 4: mean ship, I mean.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Tanks and Air Force.
- 17:45Speaker 4: I made tanks five I thought I thought you did.
- 17:48Speaker 4: I thought you I thought that it was like some
- 17:50Speaker 4: kind of like crossover sit that you were doing. Like
- 17:52Speaker 4: I remember you said.
- 17:53Speaker 7: You worked on I worked on machines. I worked on
- 17:55Speaker 7: aircraft and stuff AFT.
- 17:56Speaker 4: I thought it was for some reason, like my.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Bro can truck all the time aircraft to me.
- 18:05Speaker 4: To me, it didn't make sense either. But I can
- 18:07Speaker 4: see them like contracting with the Air Force to fix.
- 18:11Speaker 3: Truck mechanics. He was he was jets and.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Fair enough.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Okay, well you're out a tank. Why get off the ground.
- 18:22Speaker 3: I can't get an eight miles an hour.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Why won't this take fly?
- 18:30Speaker 2: All right, let's move on to story number three. Yeah,
- 18:33Speaker 2: TikTok psychic suspended sentenced to pay ten million dollars to
- 18:38Speaker 2: a woman they accused of murder.
- 18:41Speaker 4: What the hell say that again?
- 18:43Speaker 8: So?
- 18:44Speaker 2: Yeah, this is fascinating.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Wow.
- 18:49Speaker 2: So once again TikTok psychic sentence to pay ten million
- 18:54Speaker 2: dollars to innocent women she claimed was a murderer.
- 18:57Speaker 7: Oh, not blasphemy, No, it was false accusation.
- 19:05Speaker 4: Assume he's going against God? There god speaking.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Of going against God.
- 19:13Speaker 5: Accusition is accusing you against going against God.
- 19:17Speaker 2: This is going against God. In twenty twenty two, four
- 19:20Speaker 2: University of Idaho students were killed in what has become
- 19:25Speaker 2: known very literally as the twenty twenty two University of
- 19:29Speaker 2: Idaho murders. A home invader brutally stabbed the house sharing
- 19:35Speaker 2: students to death, but inexplicably left two of the housemates alive.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Now soon after the killings, a social media psychic from Texas,
- 19:48Speaker 2: Ashley Gillard or Guillard I'm not sure to pronounce that,
- 19:52Speaker 2: posted on TikTok that she had cracked the case. She
- 19:56Speaker 2: made multiple posts accusing Rebecca's go field a history professor
- 20:01Speaker 2: at the u of I I've heard of this, Yeah,
- 20:04Speaker 2: masterminding the murders to conceal a supposed relationship with one
- 20:10Speaker 2: of the students.
- 20:11Speaker 7: What was the relationship with one of the students.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I mean, I'm invested.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I mean, gar figured this all out. They used a
- 20:19Speaker 2: reliable source. They consulted the Tarot gods. The Darot cod
- 20:24Speaker 2: said she did it. And things took an awkward turn
- 20:30Speaker 2: when the cops arrested someone else, a gentleman named Brian
- 20:33Speaker 2: Coberger who who admitted Guilder, who confessed to the murders
- 20:41Speaker 2: in late twenty twenty five.
- 20:43Speaker 3: But could he have done it though?
- 20:46Speaker 2: I think so.
- 20:47Speaker 7: Okay, there's a story here man and that, and they
- 20:54Speaker 7: didn't get to the bottom line.
- 20:55Speaker 3: I confessed to the murder.
- 20:56Speaker 5: No, I don't think you did it.
- 20:57Speaker 3: I don't.
- 20:58Speaker 2: I think you're lying.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Yeah, back out there, Yeah, you're.
- 21:03Speaker 8: Covering for this, Rebecca lady.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 21:07Speaker 2: The two the two who survived, actually saw him, but
- 21:13Speaker 2: they were too drunk to understand what was happening at
- 21:16Speaker 2: the time. But thankfully he didn't finish the job. He
- 21:22Speaker 2: just left. And so, however, let's talk about Rebecca Schofield, now,
- 21:28Speaker 2: who had to deal with all these accusations. Yeah, probably
- 21:30Speaker 2: a ton of hate mail and other things. She sued
- 21:34Speaker 2: Guillard the psychic.
- 21:36Speaker 5: Naturally, you're right, and the psychic didn't see that coming.
- 21:40Speaker 8: Come on, ter cards did not divulge that.
- 21:51Speaker 2: The judge is going to make you pay ten million
- 21:54Speaker 2: for the things you said earlier. Sorry about that. So yeah,
- 22:00Speaker 2: the judge ordered her to pay ten million dollars in compensation. Now,
- 22:04Speaker 2: Guillard has appealed to the courts to have the verdict
- 22:06Speaker 2: against her thrown out. She claims the whole case is
- 22:09Speaker 2: fraudulent and wishes everyone could just move on.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I wonder why the thing is she.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Didn't back down, like when Coberger was arrested. She continued
- 22:20Speaker 2: to insist that he had done it at Schofield's orders.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Like like, she's just not letting it go. And now
- 22:28Speaker 2: that she's been forced to pay ten million, now she's like,
- 22:30Speaker 2: oh wait, just go.
- 22:32Speaker 4: So she's claiming she's claiming that this other woman basically
- 22:35Speaker 4: hired him as a hit man, so he actually did
- 22:37Speaker 4: the killing. She's manipulated whatever or whatever.
- 22:41Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, she because those four kids that they got murdered,
- 22:45Speaker 7: they are always in a library, making so much fucking
- 22:48Speaker 7: noise and they just couldn't handle it anymore.
- 22:51Speaker 4: So so she had she had Schofield.
- 22:54Speaker 3: History profession, history library, same thing. There's fucking books.
- 22:57Speaker 8: Man.
- 22:57Speaker 2: They were repeating too much history and she was tired
- 23:00Speaker 2: of it.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Yeah, history is dumb.
- 23:03Speaker 4: It was a lot. So it was in the library
- 23:05Speaker 4: with the wrench.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Unfortunately it was in the living room with the knife.
- 23:11Speaker 6: Well yeah, but you know it's hard. You can always
- 23:19Speaker 6: have your palm rade.
- 23:20Speaker 3: I guess, I guess that's just pretty right after that.
- 23:24Speaker 2: You know, it's messed up because my dad.
- 23:25Speaker 4: Did that, because it was covered in blood smoke.
- 23:27Speaker 3: But he's never been like accused.
- 23:29Speaker 5: Anyone would be like, yeah, you're gonna murder someone, because
- 23:32Speaker 5: that's not how that works.
- 23:34Speaker 3: You can't find that out that way.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Last night checked, that's not how that works. So all right,
- 23:40Speaker 2: So we have our three news stories still connect five.
- 23:43Speaker 2: I'll just briefly go over one by one. Story Number one,
- 23:46Speaker 2: bizarre epidemic of penis theft leads to multiple arrests in Tanzania.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Sorry VW. Beatle found suspended from a Canadian cliff, and
- 23:53Speaker 2: finally TikTok's like extentenced to pay ten million dollars to
- 23:57Speaker 2: women that they accused of murder. Now, as you are
- 24:00Speaker 2: our guests, and as Julia's never played before, I'm gonna
- 24:03Speaker 2: let you guys discuss and decide which you think is
- 24:06Speaker 2: the most absurd story of the week.
- 24:09Speaker 4: All right, Jules what? I have my thoughts, but I
- 24:12Speaker 4: want to know what you're thinking, as since you're there,
- 24:15Speaker 4: you're the more rational thinker of the two of us.
- 24:20Speaker 8: I think my thought would be the Penis theft first,
- 24:25Speaker 8: the Tarot second, and obviously.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Yeah, we only have to pick the the one that's
- 24:30Speaker 4: the most absurd to Aaron, And honestly, I was leaning
- 24:32Speaker 4: the penis one myself until he got into the nitty
- 24:35Speaker 4: gritty of the psychic one. And now, I, knowing Aaron
- 24:38Speaker 4: a little bit better than you, I'm leaning I'm really
- 24:41Speaker 4: torn between the two because it could go either way
- 24:44Speaker 4: because I think, while I know I think that Aaron
- 24:47Speaker 4: would have some level of belief in psychicism, I don't
- 24:50Speaker 4: think he's gonna go as far as to buy this
- 24:52Speaker 4: fucking story. But I'm still leaning Penis theft. Too much
- 25:02Speaker 4: of a pause there.
- 25:03Speaker 7: I know I'm.
- 25:05Speaker 8: Only leaning towards Penis Theft because there's literally nothing to
- 25:10Speaker 8: gain out of that other than public chaos, right, Like
- 25:14Speaker 8: that's literally it.
- 25:16Speaker 4: Like the tricky part is we have to figure out
- 25:18Speaker 4: what Aaron thinks is the most absurd, not what the
- 25:21Speaker 4: rest of the world thinks is absurd.
- 25:22Speaker 8: And I.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Before the show which one I thought, right?
- 25:27Speaker 4: So I could see I could see him leaning towards
- 25:29Speaker 4: the psychic thing. But I'm I'm so, I'm still really
- 25:33Speaker 4: kind of torn on this. But if if you really
- 25:36Speaker 4: think it's the Penis Theft, then I'm back your play
- 25:39Speaker 4: on that because I don't disagree necessarily. Do we want
- 25:42Speaker 4: to make that our final answer for our vote?
- 25:45Speaker 8: Sure?
- 25:46Speaker 4: Okay, so the first story, Aaron is our vote for you.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Penis Theft goes to c J and Julie See and Augie.
- 25:54Speaker 2: You get to pick from the remaining too, Which one
- 25:56Speaker 2: of those do you think?
- 25:57Speaker 3: Well, I'm pretty sure it probably was.
- 26:02Speaker 5: The Canadian engineers who hate the Beatles constantly hanging the
- 26:08Speaker 5: Beatles from the bridge to some poor Native American land
- 26:13Speaker 5: and then over a fucking highway, a bunch of psychos.
- 26:16Speaker 5: But in all those stories, no one actually got hurt, so.
- 26:20Speaker 3: That part's good. So you think it's the Beatles? Yeah,
- 26:24Speaker 3: what's the last one again.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the TikToker, the Psychic Detective.
- 26:29Speaker 3: I don't think that's so bizarre.
- 26:30Speaker 7: I just think that's just karma coming back and biting
- 26:32Speaker 7: somebody who deserves to get bit.
- 26:34Speaker 3: I think, yeah, the bizarre of the fact.
- 26:36Speaker 7: Think that that Beatles suspension thing happened so many multiple
- 26:40Speaker 7: times and nobody's been arrested for it.
- 26:43Speaker 3: That's what's surprising to me.
- 26:44Speaker 7: So actually I'm gonna I'm gonna agree with you, but
- 26:47Speaker 7: for a different reason.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Okay, well let's see you guys are going with b
- 26:51Speaker 2: W Beatles. Yeah, all right, Well that will give the
- 26:54Speaker 2: point to Cjon because they absolutely got it right. The
- 27:00Speaker 2: penis theft was was just caught me by this, Like
- 27:05Speaker 2: the headline alone gave me whiplash. I was like what yeah,
- 27:10Speaker 2: and then I read it and it got worse. I'm like,
- 27:14Speaker 2: what the fuck? Like it just endless amount of WTF
- 27:17Speaker 2: in that story. The TikTok Psychic I mean as far
- 27:21Speaker 2: as psychic, I mean, there's a game called Psychic Detective.
- 27:24Speaker 2: It's it's a hilariously bad FMB game that I do
- 27:27Speaker 2: actually enjoy. But the reality is, no, don't know this.
- 27:32Speaker 2: This is an influencer literally trying to jail and it
- 27:38Speaker 2: could have really caused some really negative, you know things.
- 27:42Speaker 2: It is absurd, but nowhere near as the penis thievery.
- 27:44Speaker 2: And then finally the VW beetle would be last again
- 27:47Speaker 2: because yeah, it's it's weird, but it's not.
- 27:51Speaker 4: And honestly, Aaron, you didn't know about the multiple instances
- 27:53Speaker 4: until just now. If I heard no, no, I didn't.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Now even if I had, it wouldn't have changed anything.
- 27:59Speaker 2: In fact, it would have made it less absurd, you know. True. Yeah,
- 28:02Speaker 2: I'm likely they've done it before. Okay, so this should
- 28:05Speaker 2: not be unexpected in any of that. That is one
- 28:07Speaker 2: point to see j Julie there as far as the
- 28:11Speaker 2: current goes, But we'll see. When we come back. We're
- 28:13Speaker 2: going to play Game two, which is worth two episode points,
- 28:16Speaker 2: and we're gonna play that game right after this.
- 28:28Speaker 9: Hey you there, We've got a question for you. Are
- 28:31Speaker 9: you tired of clickbait stories and the loudest voices driving
- 28:34Speaker 9: discussions and culture and entertainment.
- 28:36Speaker 4: If so, I'm Dylan, I'm Kendall, and I'm Corey, and
- 28:40Speaker 4: we host the podcast from the Middle.
- 28:43Speaker 2: We're middle class guys living in the middle of America.
- 28:46Speaker 3: In the middle chapters of our lives with points of view.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Somewhere in the middle.
- 28:50Speaker 10: We take a more reasonable and centrist approach in our discussions,
- 28:53Speaker 10: covering genres like comedy, culture, entertainment, and interviews with really
- 28:59Speaker 10: interesting folks like business owners, comic creators, doctors, news anchors,
- 29:03Speaker 10: New York Times best selling illustrators, professional stand up comics.
- 29:07Speaker 2: And more.
- 29:09Speaker 10: We really value a relaxed and conversational podcast, one that
- 29:13Speaker 10: we hope is so fun and laid back you'll forget
- 29:16Speaker 10: you're not actually hanging out with us.
- 29:18Speaker 9: So search at from the midpod just like it sounds,
- 29:22Speaker 9: or check us out everywhere you can find podcasts.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Hey man, welcome back. It's time for game two. Game
- 29:41Speaker 2: two is going to be Pitch Me Baby one more time.
- 29:44Speaker 2: I'm going to give our players a circumstance and a
- 29:47Speaker 2: pop culture, you know, sort of situation in which to
- 29:52Speaker 2: pitch me, and whichever pitch I like the most will
- 29:54Speaker 2: win the game and earn two episode points for their team.
- 29:58Speaker 2: April nineteenth is the thirtieth anniversary of the Metal Slug
- 30:02Speaker 2: series of video games, and for those who don't know,
- 30:04Speaker 2: Metal Slug was basically the neo geo's answer to Contra.
- 30:07Speaker 2: It basically took the side scrolling run and gun gameplay
- 30:10Speaker 2: and toned the seriousness way down. Not that Contra was
- 30:13Speaker 2: an uber serious indictment about the glorification of war, but
- 30:18Speaker 2: it really made things much more cartoony, and it wound
- 30:21Speaker 2: up being one of S and K's most popular series,
- 30:24Speaker 2: with a ton of sequels and spin offs since then.
- 30:26Speaker 2: So I like the idea of making that money. It's
- 30:29Speaker 2: so my question to you, as a CEO and owner
- 30:35Speaker 2: of does not incorporate it. What media would you take
- 30:43Speaker 2: and reinvent it to make it more lighthearted and comical.
- 30:47Speaker 2: What games, genre, movie, TV series or books are just
- 30:51Speaker 2: too serious for their own good and would benefit from
- 30:54Speaker 2: being more zany and cartoony. Best Pitch wins and earns
- 30:59Speaker 2: two episode points for Team Steevie and Augie. You guys
- 31:03Speaker 2: lost the last game, so you have the choice do
- 31:05Speaker 2: you want to go first? Or do you want to
- 31:06Speaker 2: make CJ and Julie go first.
- 31:07Speaker 3: I'm ready to go.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Do you want to go first?
- 31:09Speaker 3: Yeah, let's do it.
- 31:10Speaker 2: You guys are going first. In that case, which one
- 31:13Speaker 2: of you wants to go first? Of the two of you?
- 31:15Speaker 3: I mean we both got great ones.
- 31:16Speaker 5: You.
- 31:16Speaker 3: I mean it just not you. Yeah, I'll let you
- 31:18Speaker 3: take the point. I'll just have the fun on. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:21Speaker 3: I hits out of the way.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, fair enough. Stevie's going first. Stevie, when
- 31:25Speaker 2: you're ready, pitch me.
- 31:28Speaker 11: Ladies and gentlemen. The idea I'm about to bring up
- 31:33Speaker 11: before you is something that's never been done before, but
- 31:37Speaker 11: definitely needs to be done and will make us millions.
- 31:43Speaker 7: This is Schindler's best hits list on Broadway. We take
- 31:52Speaker 7: the musical hits out of Chindler's list quotes.
- 31:58Speaker 3: It says, whoever saves one.
- 32:01Speaker 7: Life saves the world entire and you can just bust
- 32:04Speaker 7: in the song there right. All the music has done
- 32:07Speaker 7: by Linn Man, Miranda, Manuel Miranda, and Liam Neeson still
- 32:14Speaker 7: plays his same role as Schindler like he did in
- 32:17Speaker 7: the movie Oh My God, but instead of taking the
- 32:22Speaker 7: Jewish people to work in the war factories of World
- 32:25Speaker 7: War two to keep them from Adolf Hitler, Hitler's Nazis,
- 32:33Speaker 7: Schindler has everyone working in a candy store and they're
- 32:37Speaker 7: trying to hide from the evil dictator leader dandoff sphincter
- 32:42Speaker 7: that wants to take all the sweet sweets jewish candy
- 32:46Speaker 7: away from everybody.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Wow.
- 32:49Speaker 3: I feel like he added that after the first thought.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no.
- 32:53Speaker 7: No no, it was all there at the end, the
- 32:55Speaker 7: beginning was there at the end. So the musical, yeah,
- 33:01Speaker 7: shin there's hit list effectively, Yeah, they just sing all
- 33:04Speaker 7: the best ones.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Manotes, Oh my god.
- 33:07Speaker 7: Okay, and you already have like like yeah, Liam Neeson, man,
- 33:11Speaker 7: he's already he's a veteran at this, he already knows
- 33:13Speaker 7: he's done the whole thing.
- 33:15Speaker 3: He knows that list front and back.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Save your team.
- 33:18Speaker 5: I think I can and you know what, I not
- 33:21Speaker 5: only think I can save our team, I think I
- 33:23Speaker 5: can also save you money in this because my proposal
- 33:27Speaker 5: is that we do saw right, Okay, I saw as
- 33:32Speaker 5: we know it. It'll still be everything in saying be
- 33:34Speaker 5: for bet everything, but with puppets as the victims. It
- 33:39Speaker 5: will still be Kramer, a guy, and Jigsaw, but everybody else.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Will be puppets.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Could you imagine I want.
- 33:47Speaker 2: To play a game?
- 33:49Speaker 12: Yeah, still going through the whole nine yards, you know,
- 33:56Speaker 12: him still giving off the same spiel like tell me,
- 33:59Speaker 12: do you know a boil a frog and you just
- 34:01Speaker 12: have Kermit the frog.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Like oh, good grief, because the worst kermit.
- 34:07Speaker 5: I know, I'm not good.
- 34:07Speaker 8: I practice that one and.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Still could not get it. But like it.
- 34:13Speaker 5: I feel it works really well because again you don't
- 34:15Speaker 5: have to change anything. And it turns into this like
- 34:18Speaker 5: really bad torture porn to this comedic like there's no blood,
- 34:22Speaker 5: it's all stuffing and like you can imagine like like say,
- 34:26Speaker 5: like a puppet's like getting dragged into like a saw
- 34:29Speaker 5: blade or whatever. And then and you hear like the
- 34:31Speaker 5: cartoonist scream like at the end of fucking who framed
- 34:35Speaker 5: Roger Rabbit with crist Of Like, oh my god, it's
- 34:40Speaker 5: like flailing around.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Have mercy, Okay.
- 34:45Speaker 3: I hope for Aggies.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Would would you change the name? Would it be seen?
- 34:50Speaker 5: It would be seen, it would eat No, it had
- 34:54Speaker 5: to be like a play on the puppet thing like
- 34:56Speaker 5: seam or something.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Sam seam seam. Oh my god, that's good.
- 35:01Speaker 2: I like that. Oh mercy okay, wild all right? See
- 35:08Speaker 2: and Julie, which one of you would like to go first?
- 35:11Speaker 4: Of the two of you and the schools mind's not
- 35:14Speaker 4: going to win, so we do we want to maybe
- 35:16Speaker 4: save yours for the end, so we have a shot at.
- 35:18Speaker 8: This or I'm not sure ours will either.
- 35:22Speaker 4: You you go ahead, Okay, So I'm going for for Zany,
- 35:27Speaker 4: but not in that fun way. I'm actually kind of
- 35:29Speaker 4: following Augie's train of thought a little bit in terms
- 35:32Speaker 4: of uh, you know. So, so, mister Didney, I have
- 35:36Speaker 4: this proposal for you. Shout out gate levers, but I
- 35:41Speaker 4: wanted to Uh, I'm proposing a crossover between seven and
- 35:45Speaker 4: snow Waiting the Seven Dwarfs, where you have.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Snow White and Seven.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Yes, essentially, and you have you have the seven Dwarfs
- 35:57Speaker 4: killed by a White in the Seven Deadly Sins, but
- 36:04Speaker 4: you find out that she is actually being puppet mastered
- 36:06Speaker 4: by Donald who is playing Kevin Spacey's character whose name
- 36:10Speaker 4: escapes me at the moment, but by Donald Doc who's
- 36:13Speaker 4: playing uh, Kevin Spacey's character again forgetting his name at
- 36:17Speaker 4: the moment. But yes, and your your two detectives would
- 36:20Speaker 4: be uh uh Mickey and Pluto, because that would be
- 36:25Speaker 4: that would be it, you know, but Pluto. Here's the
- 36:28Speaker 4: interesting twist on that Pluto would be the Morgan Freeman character,
- 36:32Speaker 4: not the Brad Pitt character, So it would be Mickey
- 36:35Speaker 4: at the end screaming what's in the box, then it
- 36:37Speaker 4: would end up being one of the Dwarf's heads. So
- 36:41Speaker 4: I think I think I was not going to attempt
- 36:46Speaker 4: to do an impression. I'lla agi. There he did. He
- 36:49Speaker 4: was braver than I. But yes, so.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Is not the word i'd use.
- 36:56Speaker 4: But yes, I'm thinking since snow snow whites have and
- 37:00Speaker 4: would be the way to go with.
- 37:04Speaker 3: And that's good. That's good, that's really cool.
- 37:07Speaker 4: I wouldn't call that the cartoony. It's it's but I
- 37:11Speaker 4: don't know about cartoony.
- 37:12Speaker 3: Is it a cartoon or is it live action?
- 37:15Speaker 2: I think you I think you live action Mickey and Pluto.
- 37:19Speaker 4: I think you got I think I think you go.
- 37:21Speaker 4: I think you go all over Roger Rabbit. Yeah, I
- 37:23Speaker 4: think you do.
- 37:23Speaker 3: I think you have, like Arnold Palmer, this ship.
- 37:28Speaker 2: I got you.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, so that's that's what I say.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Wild Okay, yeah, yeah, I can see that, all right.
- 37:37Speaker 2: I mean, these are really good pitches. I mean I
- 37:40Speaker 2: was joking about yours, Stev, but these have been really good.
- 37:42Speaker 3: I was joking to.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Joel's Julie can similarly blow my mind. Do you have
- 37:50Speaker 2: a great pitch for me?
- 37:52Speaker 8: Well, I will say, okay, it's fine. So My thought is, uh,
- 38:00Speaker 8: Game of Thrones. I think they big huge drama if
- 38:07Speaker 8: we take it and make it into like CGI kind
- 38:13Speaker 8: of uh stuff where you uh, like the dragons when
- 38:18Speaker 8: they go into battle, they just kind of stop short
- 38:22Speaker 8: and go, I need a treat or I'm not finishing
- 38:24Speaker 8: this expedition kind of thing. And then at like the
- 38:32Speaker 8: end when you know, you know the scene where John
- 38:35Speaker 8: snow uh kills s Denaris at the end, instead it's
- 38:40Speaker 8: Tyrian and it's because they had a drunken party and
- 38:44Speaker 8: he they slept together and his penis was just too big, and.
- 38:50Speaker 3: I love your ending better. I want your ending to
- 38:53Speaker 3: Vechan and let's give her to that other one and
- 38:55Speaker 3: sucked right, this is better.
- 38:58Speaker 5: I was thinking, like, what the dragon is stopping and talking.
- 39:03Speaker 4: To your Game of Thrones?
- 39:06Speaker 8: Of Thrones?
- 39:10Speaker 2: Okay, I like that, how to train your Game of Great.
- 39:14Speaker 8: Okay, I didn't think of that.
- 39:17Speaker 2: That's good.
- 39:18Speaker 8: That would be a good title.
- 39:19Speaker 4: That makes the There's anything I'm good at. It's coming
- 39:22Speaker 4: up with titles, all right.
- 39:27Speaker 2: So now I have the hard part of picking which
- 39:29Speaker 2: one I like the best, and I also have to
- 39:32Speaker 2: think about it in which one is like the most marketable,
- 39:35Speaker 2: Which one could we actually make a bunch of money on.
- 39:38Speaker 3: Also all all this is owned by b F Y
- 39:40Speaker 3: t W.
- 39:41Speaker 2: I mean I have not yes trademarks done.
- 39:47Speaker 4: I have not.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Oh man, I've not heard of a Game of Thrones
- 39:52Speaker 2: parody out, like like a full blown like Game of
- 39:56Speaker 2: Thrones parody, like besides the.
- 40:01Speaker 8: I don't want to know.
- 40:01Speaker 2: I haven't seen the porn one. The only porn parody
- 40:05Speaker 2: I ever actually basically porn the only one I watched.
- 40:09Speaker 2: It was awesome. It was actually surprisingly well written.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Yeah, we.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Tried to capture anyway. I think the one that genuinely
- 40:27Speaker 2: has the most potential but was also like the best
- 40:30Speaker 2: put together was Saw with puppets, Like I genuinely think
- 40:34Speaker 2: that would be hilarious, and I think that already with
- 40:38Speaker 2: time I have not seen. I mean they did like
- 40:42Speaker 2: the Happy Time Murders, which was gonna be a more dark,
- 40:45Speaker 2: darkly humorous but kind of issue with where puppets were
- 40:49Speaker 2: getting killed. But the muppets do Saw is such a
- 40:55Speaker 2: funny fucking idea in my brain. I cannot get that
- 40:59Speaker 2: out of my head, Like that's just hilarious to me.
- 41:03Speaker 2: So and you also like a lot of it worked
- 41:07Speaker 2: out so I'm gonna give that one to Augie. So
- 41:09Speaker 2: it is two points to Stevie and Augie, meaning they
- 41:12Speaker 2: are currently in the lead two points to one Overseas
- 41:15Speaker 2: and Jewelry. But we have game three to play. Game
- 41:18Speaker 2: three is worth three episode points and we're gonna play
- 41:21Speaker 2: that game right after this. Hey man, welcome back. It's
- 41:44Speaker 2: time for game three. Game three is gonna be the
- 41:46Speaker 2: cost is correct. I have three items that recently sold
- 41:52Speaker 2: on auction, and all our players have to do is
- 41:54Speaker 2: a bit as close as they can to the final
- 41:56Speaker 2: auction price without going over. First player to win to well,
- 42:00Speaker 2: first team to win two listings wins the game and
- 42:03Speaker 2: gets three episode points.
- 42:06Speaker 6: Uh.
- 42:06Speaker 2: And because there are four players, we are doing full
- 42:10Speaker 2: contestants alley rules. Let's say keep it distinct, so each
- 42:14Speaker 2: play one bid and one bid only. So CJ and Julie,
- 42:20Speaker 2: you guys lost the last game, so you have the
- 42:22Speaker 2: choice do you want to bid first or do you
- 42:25Speaker 2: want to make Steman Augie bid first. Well, in mind
- 42:29Speaker 2: that the players are going to shuffle back and forth
- 42:31Speaker 2: between teams, so you will not be bidding consecutively.
- 42:36Speaker 4: Gotcha, gotcha, Jules? What do you think I'm feel like?
- 42:39Speaker 4: I feel like we should make them go first. But
- 42:40Speaker 4: that's my my. That way, we we have a way
- 42:42Speaker 4: to kind of.
- 42:44Speaker 8: That way, we have a back backboard of what we can.
- 42:48Speaker 4: Right, and I think we would end up with if
- 42:49Speaker 4: I'm doing the math way, we'd end up with the
- 42:51Speaker 4: last bid, which is of the entire to think. So
- 42:53Speaker 4: I think that would be beneficial.
- 42:55Speaker 2: For the first. For the first, itam at least it's
- 42:57Speaker 2: gonna shuffle, but.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Stevie the last. Sorry, nothing, you know that?
- 43:06Speaker 2: Okay? Stevi and Augy, which one of you two wants
- 43:08Speaker 2: to go first? Oh?
- 43:09Speaker 3: You go first?
- 43:11Speaker 2: All right, Stevie is gonna go first. So I'll say
- 43:15Speaker 2: after Stevie it will be Julie, and then after Julie
- 43:18Speaker 2: it'll be Augie, and then after Augie'll be CJ. So
- 43:20Speaker 2: it'll be in that order and we'll just rotate as
- 43:23Speaker 2: we go along. Stevie is first, Julie second, Augie's third. Last.
- 43:28Speaker 3: Let's do this thing.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Our first item up forbids is this beautiful penis pendant.
- 43:34Speaker 2: This fourteen carrot yellow gold cock penis pendant is a
- 43:39Speaker 2: unique and bold statement piece that is perfect for celebrating
- 43:43Speaker 2: a birthday. Made in the United states. This pendant features
- 43:48Speaker 2: a detailed design of a cock in yellow gold, making
- 43:52Speaker 2: it a standout accessory. The charm style pendant does not
- 43:57Speaker 2: feature any stones, making it a versatile piece. Can be
- 44:00Speaker 2: worn for various occasions, and this listing can be yours.
- 44:04Speaker 2: If the cost is correct.
- 44:07Speaker 3: That's out the gate.
- 44:09Speaker 2: I love it all right, Stevie. Whenever you're ready, start
- 44:13Speaker 2: us off.
- 44:13Speaker 7: Give me a bid, he said, a solid gold correct,
- 44:17Speaker 7: it is solid golden carrot, fourteen carrot solid gold. Did
- 44:22Speaker 7: you have that, Bristley go to How about three point
- 44:26Speaker 7: fifty three hundred.
- 44:28Speaker 2: And fifty dollars, says Stevie. Julie, what do you think?
- 44:34Speaker 8: Hmmm, I'm trying to think. I mean, it's a ridiculous item,
- 44:39Speaker 8: so it has to have a ridiculous price tag, doesn't
- 44:42Speaker 8: it exactly?
- 44:44Speaker 2: Very possible?
- 44:45Speaker 8: Sometimes I'm gonna go with.
- 44:54Speaker 2: One thousand dollars, one thousand even, says Julie. Augie, what
- 44:58Speaker 2: do you say?
- 45:01Speaker 3: That's what I'm dead. I'm gonna say.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Twelve fifty twelve fifty, says Augie. And finally, c J.
- 45:15Speaker 4: Well, see, I think it's not being discussed here. And
- 45:17Speaker 4: I and unless, at least unless I missed it. But
- 45:20Speaker 4: because let's be real, size matters. How big is this cock?
- 45:27Speaker 3: I think there's some other people in the rooms with you.
- 45:29Speaker 2: From the pictures, I saw it's about that big, so.
- 45:33Speaker 4: So that's kind of tiny. So you gotta you know,
- 45:35Speaker 4: I mean no, I I like I like Julie's.
- 45:40Speaker 8: Log Maybe it was cold in the room.
- 45:42Speaker 4: It could have been, could have been.
- 45:46Speaker 6: I liked it.
- 45:48Speaker 3: It shrinks when it goes.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Down on the star.
- 45:53Speaker 4: I like Julie's logic here. But I also think that
- 45:58Speaker 4: I think that the ridiculous ss of the item will
- 46:01Speaker 4: make it so not people aren't gonna want it, so
- 46:04Speaker 4: the number is not gonna be very high, like the
- 46:06Speaker 4: bidding won't the auction won't get very far because not
- 46:10Speaker 4: many people are gonna actually bid on this thing. I'm
- 46:15Speaker 4: gonna go I'm gonna go low. I'm going to go
- 46:17Speaker 4: four fifty.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Four fifty c J. So our bids are Stevie with
- 46:25Speaker 2: three fifty, CJ with four fifty, Julie with one thousand,
- 46:28Speaker 2: and Augue with twelve fifty. The actual final auction price
- 46:32Speaker 2: of this cock penis Pendant two thousand, nine hundred and
- 46:37Speaker 2: ninety five dollars. Wow wins the first item for TV.
- 46:44Speaker 3: Can I borrow that next week for two grand? Damn?
- 46:48Speaker 8: All right, I should have said fifteen hundred, right right.
- 46:53Speaker 3: That's insane.
- 46:54Speaker 2: In any event, Our second item after bids is this
- 46:58Speaker 2: collectible sign a bit of cardboard. All four members of
- 47:03Speaker 2: the Red Hot Chili Peppers, including Anthony Ketis, Chad Smith, Flee,
- 47:07Speaker 2: and John Freschonte, have personally hand signed this in bold
- 47:11Speaker 2: black sharpie with amazing early written autographs. Anthony added a
- 47:15Speaker 2: hand drawn phallic picture on the back as seen in
- 47:18Speaker 2: scans and this signed penis sketch. Listing can be yours
- 47:23Speaker 2: if the cost is correct. And Julie, this time we
- 47:27Speaker 2: will start with you.
- 47:29Speaker 8: Well, I mean, Red Hot Chili Peppers are big deal.
- 47:36Speaker 3: It's pretty hot.
- 47:38Speaker 8: Yeah, hm hmm.
- 47:47Speaker 4: Your time in South Florida hasn't gone away.
- 47:49Speaker 3: All the like, all four of them, all four of them. Hmm.
- 47:55Speaker 8: Yeah. I mean that's probably the part that's the more
- 48:00Speaker 8: impressive of the piece there. I'm trying to think. I mean,
- 48:10Speaker 8: I'm gonna go with fifteen hundred.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Fifteen hundred, says Julie. Augie. Hmmm, man, that is that's rough.
- 48:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just saying it's.
- 48:26Speaker 2: I'm gonna say it's goes to a grand one thousand. Yeah,
- 48:32Speaker 2: all right, CJ.
- 48:34Speaker 4: Do we know if it's authenticated? The signatures doesn't say.
- 48:37Speaker 2: These signatures have been authenticated.
- 48:39Speaker 4: Okay. See, And and we've had I've played this game
- 48:43Speaker 4: enough with you guys that we've had signed ship before
- 48:45Speaker 4: it went for ridiculous number. So I'm gonna go real high.
- 48:49Speaker 4: I'm going high on this. I'm gonna go forty five hundred.
- 48:56Speaker 2: Forty five hundreds CJ.
- 48:59Speaker 7: And finally he didn't go as as I thought he
- 49:01Speaker 7: was going to six thousand dollars.
- 49:04Speaker 4: Whoaought I thought about going high. I thought about going
- 49:09Speaker 4: that high, and I didn't. Then I'm now kicking myself
- 49:11Speaker 4: that much.
- 49:13Speaker 2: You've all overbid. Please bid again, and bid lower than
- 49:18Speaker 2: one thousand dollars, starting with Julie red hot chili peppers.
- 49:24Speaker 8: Lower than one thousand dollars, okay, six.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Hundred, six hundred, says Julie.
- 49:30Speaker 3: Augie damn oh man.
- 49:32Speaker 5: Okay, Well I might as well go low again, to
- 49:34Speaker 5: two hundred.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Two hundred, says Augie. C J.
- 49:41Speaker 4: Fuck it, one dollar?
- 49:43Speaker 2: What dollar?
- 49:44Speaker 8: Dollar?
- 49:45Speaker 2: Now? He goes one dollar would have paid off last time?
- 49:48Speaker 3: He steebee, I will go six six six.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Six hundred and sixty six, says Stevie. Credit seven of me.
- 50:00Speaker 2: The actual final auction price of this what is literally
- 50:04Speaker 2: just a signed piece of cardboard nine hundred and ninety
- 50:09Speaker 2: nine dollars. STEVIEE gets it aggy overbid by one dollar.
- 50:13Speaker 3: Last tie.
- 50:17Speaker 5: You know, I'd be less upset if it didn't happen
- 50:20Speaker 5: all the time.
- 50:22Speaker 2: Well, I've got bad news for CJ and Julie, But
- 50:24Speaker 2: well you might as well play this last one because
- 50:27Speaker 2: we're not going to use it for anything else. Our
- 50:30Speaker 2: final item up forbids is this historic fashion piece. Appearing
- 50:34Speaker 2: on the runway. In two thousand and three, The Eves
- 50:36Speaker 2: San Laurent reeve Gooche by Tom Ford featured this striking
- 50:42Speaker 2: black iron penis pendant. The pendant necklace was a shocking
- 50:46Speaker 2: accessory at the time and now secures itself as a
- 50:49Speaker 2: piece of controversial fashion history. And this listing can be
- 50:53Speaker 2: yours if the cost is correct. And this time we're
- 50:56Speaker 2: starting with Augie.
- 50:57Speaker 3: This is fashion history.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Yeah, fun really appeared in a show in an actual fashion.
- 51:02Speaker 7: It was insane as people would like sketch penises in
- 51:04Speaker 7: their books in school. And how much is it gonna
- 51:08Speaker 7: go for At the end of this is watch Watch.
- 51:09Speaker 5: This is gonna be like one of the most phallic
- 51:11Speaker 5: episodes I've ever been on a.
- 51:13Speaker 2: By t W.
- 51:14Speaker 4: Really, it explains the title that you shared smoke.
- 51:19Speaker 3: But I guess twelve hundred.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Twelve hundred, yeah, says Augie. Uh c J.
- 51:30Speaker 3: It seems right, but.
- 51:39Speaker 4: Alright, just fuck it. Twelve oh one, twelve.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Oh one, so CJ.
- 51:45Speaker 7: Stevie, Hmmm, I'm gonna go, man, you go hired him
- 51:52Speaker 7: by just want to piss him off.
- 51:53Speaker 3: Twelve oh two, fuck you. Watch Finally, Julie should be
- 52:01Speaker 3: like one dog.
- 52:03Speaker 8: I'm just gonna go really high just for ships and giggles.
- 52:07Speaker 8: Ten thousand dollars.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Yeah, ten thousand dollars.
- 52:12Speaker 4: Very nice. So I love it. I love it.
- 52:14Speaker 2: I was really hoping you were gonna go twelve oh
- 52:16Speaker 2: three the actual the actual final auction price of this
- 52:22Speaker 2: black iron penis pendant two thousand dollars even, and once
- 52:28Speaker 2: again it goes to Stevie. They have won all three
- 52:32Speaker 2: you mean Stevie and Augie have won this game and
- 52:34Speaker 2: get three episode points.
- 52:37Speaker 3: Yeah, points, we'll share them with you guys, though.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Yeah, they have won this episode five points to one.
- 52:44Speaker 2: But they have offered a share.
- 52:45Speaker 3: Yeah, we're all winners aways always. My mom always told me, well, we're.
- 52:52Speaker 8: Going by the theme all Wieners.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Okay, Well, thank you so much for coming to Joy. Julie.
- 53:02Speaker 2: I hope you guys had fun. Yeah, and we absolutely
- 53:06Speaker 2: happy to have you back once your podcast is up
- 53:09Speaker 2: and rolling, and maybe you'll have to invite us to
- 53:11Speaker 2: be on once or.
- 53:12Speaker 4: Twice, Oh for sure.
- 53:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 53:14Speaker 4: Really, we're really excited to get this thing back up
- 53:16Speaker 4: and running and it's it's gonna be uh really interesting
- 53:20Speaker 4: because for those of you that are listeners that have
- 53:22Speaker 4: heard me on Potesky with Rico, it was a movie
- 53:25Speaker 4: review show and I had a blast to an Origo
- 53:26Speaker 4: and we had a good time. But we kind of
- 53:28Speaker 4: knew what was coming. Maybe not knew a movie we
- 53:30Speaker 4: were gonna do, but you knew the general idea. We
- 53:31Speaker 4: were gonna review a movie, we're gonna talk about it
- 53:33Speaker 4: and be ridiculous about and that's what we did for
- 53:35Speaker 4: multiple hours at a shot. Julie, I literally don't know
- 53:38Speaker 4: what we're gonna be talking about at all, because that's
- 53:40Speaker 4: just what we do. Into what we do, we we
- 53:43Speaker 4: we come up with an idea and what we'll we'll
- 53:45Speaker 4: dive oult we'll you know, dive deep into the topic.
- 53:48Speaker 4: But I we don't have it's not a this is
- 53:51Speaker 4: movies every week or whatever it's gonna be. That's why
- 53:54Speaker 4: we're called running a hamster. We all because it could
- 53:56Speaker 4: go anywhere. Jules, do you have anything you want to
- 53:59Speaker 4: add today? Because I think you could probably be more
- 54:01Speaker 4: intellectual in your description.
- 54:06Speaker 8: At the moment. Probably not, but.
- 54:11Speaker 3: I understand you are on our show. I get it.
- 54:13Speaker 8: No, no, not you guys. Yeah, no, it's just we
- 54:20Speaker 8: When we started it way back in the day, years ago, Yeah,
- 54:27Speaker 8: it was. It was really a like fun thing to do.
- 54:31Speaker 8: We didn't really get too seriously into it right off
- 54:37Speaker 8: the bat. It was just we, you know, two people
- 54:41Speaker 8: having a conversation and we were like, we should record this.
- 54:44Speaker 8: It sounds like it would be fantastic.
- 54:47Speaker 4: If I could interject for a second, spoke. It was
- 54:48Speaker 4: Kevin Smith's model. It was get your friends together recorded
- 54:51Speaker 4: and if you put it out, you put it out.
- 54:53Speaker 4: If you don't, you don't. It was legitimately the logic
- 54:55Speaker 4: behind it when we put it together first. Yeah exactly, yeah, yeah.
- 55:02Speaker 8: Yeah, So I mean we ran from uh, parenting advice
- 55:07Speaker 8: because I had had my kids at that time.
- 55:12Speaker 4: I didn't have them anymore. Just fucked off.
- 55:14Speaker 8: But yes, I I kicked them out of the house.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Genuinely thought you said they evolved and fucked off, and
- 55:21Speaker 2: I was like, what did you evolve on? The evolved in.
- 55:26Speaker 8: My children are pokemon?
- 55:27Speaker 2: Oh my god, incredible.
- 55:32Speaker 8: But I you know, I I actually we were uh
- 55:37Speaker 8: listened to one or two episodes uh together the other day,
- 55:41Speaker 8: and I was like, I think I remember the first
- 55:46Speaker 8: time I said I don't really like my voice like recorded,
- 55:53Speaker 8: and so I still stand by that, just.
- 55:58Speaker 3: Us they we don't like your azl dog either.
- 56:01Speaker 2: I disagree, but to each.
- 56:04Speaker 5: I guess, oh.
- 56:08Speaker 2: Listen, Okay, you can't argue with this.
- 56:12Speaker 4: I will argue you probably you have probably had the
- 56:14Speaker 4: sexiest voice of the three of you, if I'm being honest.
- 56:16Speaker 4: So I mean, thank you.
- 56:18Speaker 2: What I actually meant to say was that I disagree
- 56:20Speaker 2: with Julie that she doesn't have a nice voice. I
- 56:24Speaker 2: think she does, but that's neither here nor there.
- 56:26Speaker 4: Certainly better than mine, Aaron, that's for sure.
- 56:29Speaker 3: So I mean it'll make it worth listenings as well.
- 56:32Speaker 2: Exactly coming anyway, I'm so happy to have you. I
- 56:35Speaker 2: hope you guys had a great time.
- 56:36Speaker 8: Uh.
- 56:37Speaker 2: And we look forward to your your podcast when it
- 56:39Speaker 2: gets started. And I'm so excited for that. That's awesome.
- 56:42Speaker 4: Yeah, we're really excited. I think it'll be out with
- 56:44Speaker 4: the first episode of the first relaunched episode will be
- 56:47Speaker 4: out within the next month. Uh, just due to a
- 56:49Speaker 4: couple of technological things. So but we we have we
- 56:53Speaker 4: have wheels and no pun intended, but we have wheels
- 56:56Speaker 4: in place to get this thing going pretty quickly. So
- 56:58Speaker 4: we should be launching soon. And I have some of
- 57:01Speaker 4: the old contents. We may be dropping some of those
- 57:03Speaker 4: old episodes out again as well as as just I
- 57:08Speaker 4: don't know if I'll call bonus content or just all
- 57:10Speaker 4: archived episodes or whatever. But we have really do.
- 57:13Speaker 2: What Stevie does and just hang on to it. And
- 57:15Speaker 2: if there's a week when one of you is sick
- 57:16Speaker 2: and you can't do it or whatever, you just drop
- 57:18Speaker 2: one of those instead, exactly.
- 57:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 57:20Speaker 4: And and and the interesting part, without getting a jargon,
- 57:25Speaker 4: is I have all the wraw I don't have the
- 57:27Speaker 4: edited episodes. I have the raw one, so I'd actually
- 57:29Speaker 4: have to re edit them. So I and I'm much
- 57:31Speaker 4: better at it now than I was twelve years ago,
- 57:33Speaker 4: so I'll actually be able.
- 57:34Speaker 2: To make it sound I did could.
- 57:37Speaker 4: Basically. Yeah, yeah, I read it. I reactually in that
- 57:42Speaker 4: same in that same vein real quick, and I readd
- 57:44Speaker 4: our theme song like I re. I took the original
