Romans 9 through 11 are often called the “parenthesis” chapters. In Romans 1 to 8 Paul has been talking about our great salvation, justification and the righteousness of God that can only be received and found by faith! And then, all of a sudden, the subject seems to change and Paul is discussing his passion and desire for his people, the nation of Israel, to be saved.

My main take from these chapters is: God is Sovereign and He is God and we are not! And we are reminded that God is faithful and merciful to keep His promises…
