Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Halloweens and what here? Eleven days?
- 0:07Speaker 2: Yeah, and there is that, right, I just said yep,
- 0:10Speaker 2: without knowing it's eleven days.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Okay, there's gonna be ghosts, schools, goblins, superheroes, princesses, star wars, characters, athletes,
- 0:22Speaker 3: movie stars running amongst your neighborhood, trying to collect as
- 0:27Speaker 3: many Snickers and Reese's Cups as possible. All right, at
- 0:30Speaker 3: what point does that age hits where you go, you know,
- 0:36Speaker 3: tricker treating's not for me anymore? Seven oh one, two,
- 0:39Speaker 3: eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 0:42Speaker 1: What age did you stop trick or treating?
- 0:45Speaker 3: Or at what age do you start thinking like, ah,
- 0:47Speaker 3: that person might be a little old.
- 0:49Speaker 1: To trick or treat.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Maybe that answer is never all right, it might be
- 0:52Speaker 3: age seventy or one hundred, whatever the numbers.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I stopped trigger treating. I remember distinctly the last time
- 0:58Speaker 2: I went tricker treating, I was sixteen years old. And
- 1:03Speaker 2: some people might say that that's too old to be
- 1:06Speaker 2: trick or treating. However, A love free candy, so I
- 1:11Speaker 2: I mean I didn't, Just like I have seen teenagers
- 1:15Speaker 2: go door to door and they're not dressed as anything,
- 1:18Speaker 2: and they're asking for candy and that I don't like.
- 1:21Speaker 2: But I dressed in full costume, yeah, every single year
- 1:25Speaker 2: of Halloween until I stopped trick or treating.
- 1:28Speaker 4: And I feel like, as long as.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Uh, you're in costume, I think you can trick or
- 1:33Speaker 2: treat however long you want.
- 1:35Speaker 1: That is kind of my one rule.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I don't care if you're sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, whatever
- 1:40Speaker 3: and you're trigger treating. If you show up to my
- 1:43Speaker 3: door and you are wearing some regular hoodie your jeans
- 1:48Speaker 3: and you look like you just left chemistry class, I
- 1:51Speaker 3: am giving you nothing. Turn around, sir, and come back
- 1:55Speaker 3: and try again. Okay, as long as you are dressed up,
- 1:58Speaker 3: I'll mostly kind of I'll give candy to anybody. Now,
- 2:01Speaker 3: if you look like a real parent and you got
- 2:03Speaker 3: the kid in the wagon and your door to door
- 2:05Speaker 3: and hoof in this thing, and you would like a
- 2:07Speaker 3: bush light, I give forty fifty sixty year old parents
- 2:10Speaker 3: bush lights on Halloween. That does happen at my house.
- 2:14Speaker 2: You know what? That does bring up a good question
- 2:17Speaker 2: because there's all this like, well, if they're teenagers.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Why are they trigger cheining them?
- 2:21Speaker 2: Okay, but let's be real, they deserve the candy more
- 2:25Speaker 2: than the infant. The infant in the stroller who is
- 2:30Speaker 2: dressed in a cutie costume. They are not eating the snickers. Okay,
- 2:34Speaker 2: that's for the parents. The parents stroll drowned with their
- 2:38Speaker 2: babies and they dress them up and like, then get
- 2:41Speaker 2: the candy.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Bill.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Let's be real, it's the parents that are eating the candy,
- 2:45Speaker 2: and we're fine with that. I'm not saying don't do that.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Because you did me a solid and dressed up your
- 2:49Speaker 2: baby in the cutest little pumpkin outfit I've ever seen.
- 2:52Speaker 4: You deserve candy.
- 2:53Speaker 2: But if they deserve candy, then so do the teenagers
- 2:57Speaker 2: who decide to dress up.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure I tri or treating. I want to say,
- 3:01Speaker 3: eighth grade. How old are you in eighth grade? Thirteen, fourteen, fourteen? Ye?
- 3:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:05Speaker 3: I stopped trick or treating in eighth grade because I
- 3:07Speaker 3: started wanting to go to parties with girls. It was
- 3:10Speaker 3: the ladies out there who ruined my trick or treating life.
- 3:15Speaker 3: We asked this question on Facebook when is too old
- 3:17Speaker 3: to trick or treat? And we have, of course a
- 3:20Speaker 3: ton of great responses. Uh, I do love what Lynn said.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Lynn said sixty five plus years old. You know, Lynn,
- 3:27Speaker 3: you could not be more right. Sixty seven you're too
- 3:29Speaker 3: old to be out there hoofing it.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, so my boyfriend has seven more years.
- 3:34Speaker 1: That's right. Trick or treating Mindy, And this is a
- 3:37Speaker 1: great answer.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Mindy said, if anyone comes to my door for trigger treating,
- 3:41Speaker 3: they will get candy.
- 3:42Speaker 1: No age is too old.
- 3:44Speaker 3: And then a lot of people felt how we felt, Angie, Hey,
- 3:47Speaker 3: you know what, trigger treat as long as you want,
- 3:48Speaker 3: but at least come dressed up all right. Yeah, if
- 3:50Speaker 3: you showing up in a flannel and jeans and you
- 3:54Speaker 3: don't say I'm going as Gabe Glitten's for Halloween, you're
- 3:57Speaker 3: probably not getting nothing.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Okay. Ashley did end this here with college. College is
- 4:03Speaker 1: too old.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Otherwise, if you want to have good, clean fun under eighteen,
- 4:07Speaker 3: so be it. She thinks she stopped going in seventh grade,
- 4:10Speaker 3: which was middle school in her town, which is basically
- 4:13Speaker 3: what I said.
- 4:14Speaker 4: It's because she was trying to go to parties.
- 4:16Speaker 3: With Bridy Big ninety eight point seven. It's gave in
- 4:22Speaker 3: to Angie. Kind of a cloudy day for us today
- 4:24Speaker 3: and I have only fifty one. It does feel like
- 4:27Speaker 3: fall has really smacked us in the face here to day.
- 4:30Speaker 3: It's gonna be fall like for the rest of the week,
- 4:32Speaker 3: which I gotta be honest, I'm all for it.
- 4:34Speaker 2: If anything's gonna smack me in the face, I'm glad
- 4:37Speaker 2: it's fall that's right.
- 4:39Speaker 3: And just like every day, especially on Mondays, I feel
- 4:42Speaker 3: it's important to practice gratitude.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Okay, we have got our little.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Victories and we have a few days to pick from
- 4:48Speaker 3: over the weekend here, whether you had a great weekend something,
- 4:51Speaker 3: maybe from just this morning, maybe you woke up and
- 4:54Speaker 3: you found fourteen dollars in your hoodie pocket.
- 4:57Speaker 1: It's that time of the year, and you went, oh,
- 5:01Speaker 1: I got lunch. I'm getting some monopoly pieces at McDonald's.
- 5:04Speaker 3: All right, that right, there is a little victory, Okay, Gabe.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I have been waiting for this for like a month
- 5:15Speaker 2: and a half really, and finally me and the fam
- 5:19Speaker 2: went out to Leonard to enjoy the crip that Jacob's manner.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, it's such a fun haunt and it
- 5:29Speaker 2: goes by faster than you think because you're just so scared.
- 5:33Speaker 2: The whole way through it was, I mean fantastic. I
- 5:37Speaker 2: was like screaming and like freaked out the entire way
- 5:42Speaker 2: through the actors who are part of that haunt, like
- 5:46Speaker 2: they really commit to the bit, and you know, I
- 5:48Speaker 2: appreciate that. And it was just creepy, fun, exciting, thrilling.
- 5:53Speaker 2: The kids loved it, Mikey liked it. Mikey likes it,
- 5:58Speaker 2: So I encourage everybody to go because also it's donation
- 6:03Speaker 2: based and all of the proceeds go to charity, so
- 6:06Speaker 2: you're encouraged to just a five dollars donation and then
- 6:10Speaker 2: you can just have the best, like fright full time
- 6:12Speaker 2: of your life. It's open next weekend and then also
- 6:18Speaker 2: Halloween or this weekend rather now that we're in the
- 6:20Speaker 2: new week.
- 6:21Speaker 4: This weekend and then Halloween.
- 6:23Speaker 2: So if you haven't had a chance to go to
- 6:25Speaker 2: the crypt at Jacob's Manor, you absolutely have to.
- 6:29Speaker 4: It's so fun.
- 6:30Speaker 1: And you know what, we know a guy who's in
- 6:33Speaker 1: charge of that.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Oh that's right, Dave Jacobs himself, who's on the Fox,
- 6:38Speaker 2: and we love him. And when I first moved here,
- 6:41Speaker 2: I found out that he was obsessed with Halloween like
- 6:44Speaker 2: I am. And then he told me about this haunt
- 6:46Speaker 2: that he does every year. I mean ten out of
- 6:48Speaker 2: ten No notes did not disappoint Highly recommend.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Heck, yeah, we love that. That's awesome. Yeah, I'm going
- 6:53Speaker 3: to try to get there. What day is Halloween on again?
- 6:57Speaker 3: Is it on a Saturday Friday?
- 6:59Speaker 1: You know that?
- 7:01Speaker 3: Okay, cause I'm gonna have to try to get there
- 7:03Speaker 3: one of these days or whatever because I won't be
- 7:05Speaker 3: able to go this weekend. I can do a family
- 7:08Speaker 3: thing in Duluth, but I want to make on Halloween night,
- 7:12Speaker 3: like that's gonna be fun. Yeah, heck, I'll go with you. Yeah,
- 7:15Speaker 3: I'm definitely trying to get there.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Well.
- 7:17Speaker 3: I was also trying to get somewhere this past Saturday.
- 7:19Speaker 3: I tell you what, my wife and I where you wear?
- 7:22Speaker 3: Just a couple of hiking adventure family, I guess because
- 7:27Speaker 3: the dog came with us. Yes, we had Winona, myself
- 7:31Speaker 3: and my wife we went to and of course I
- 7:33Speaker 3: cannot remember this one off the top of my head.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I want to.
- 7:36Speaker 3: I want to say it's like Cheyenne something, but there's
- 7:39Speaker 3: a Cheyenne campground with this kind of hiking trail. I
- 7:43Speaker 3: don't know, like state park kind of thing. I don't
- 7:44Speaker 3: exactly know what it was, but I was just along
- 7:46Speaker 3: for the ride. Okay, Corey did all the planning, and
- 7:49Speaker 3: we took Wanona on a hike, you know, right on
- 7:51Speaker 3: the prairie, I mean the grass lands. It was a
- 7:54Speaker 3: wonderful time. And then we drove another I think it
- 7:57Speaker 3: was forty ish minutes south to South Dakota where Sheika
- 8:02Speaker 3: State Park is where we went to. I figured out
- 8:04Speaker 3: how to pronounce that, and it was so cool and
- 8:08Speaker 3: in a weird way, it kind of had a Halloween
- 8:10Speaker 3: vibe there. There were pumpkins and stuff set up on
- 8:13Speaker 3: the hiking trail there. They also have this sign there
- 8:17Speaker 3: that tells you, you know, Sheika it means evil or bad,
- 8:21Speaker 3: so it's kind of Halloween coded in all.
- 8:23Speaker 4: I like that.
- 8:24Speaker 3: They were kind of getting into the spirit of Halloween
- 8:27Speaker 3: with that, and we had Winona hiking. So we basically
- 8:30Speaker 3: left home at i'd say like nine thirty and just
- 8:34Speaker 3: did a mini adventure headed southwards from North Dakota. And
- 8:39Speaker 3: I don't know if I've been to South Dakota in
- 8:40Speaker 3: my life. I feel like I have at some point
- 8:42Speaker 3: and I just don't remember. But now that I'm thirty four,
- 8:45Speaker 3: I can say, hey, I've been there.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Oh my gosh.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Okay, so what I like, is that you go because
- 8:49Speaker 2: you were at Fort Ransom the other week and so
- 8:51Speaker 2: you just tell us of your travels and then me,
- 8:53Speaker 2: Mike and the kids are right behind me.
- 8:55Speaker 3: So I think, now this Sunday, we'll go check that out.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Why not then on this Saturday, my family is doing this.
- 9:02Speaker 3: And maybe you've heard of this if you're hanging out
- 9:04Speaker 3: here this morning, But they were doing this.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I don't even know what it's called. It's our Christmas present.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Once you obviously know I have participated zero in the
- 9:12Speaker 3: planning for they talk. My family just texts Corey with
- 9:15Speaker 3: what we're doing right, and we're doing some like north
- 9:17Speaker 3: Shore Train adventure thing in Duluth. Call out that Saturday.
- 9:23Speaker 3: So it's basically three weekends of just many adventures for
- 9:25Speaker 3: the Glitten.
- 9:32Speaker 2: This is am I the problem where you send us
- 9:34Speaker 2: your side of the story and we let you know
- 9:37Speaker 2: if you're in the right or maybe just maybe you're
- 9:40Speaker 2: the problem. If you ever have one you want to
- 9:41Speaker 2: send in, you just head to Big nine eighty seven
- 9:44Speaker 2: dot com click the on air tab and you could
- 9:47Speaker 2: submit yours. We had Adriana write into us. I think
- 9:50Speaker 2: I have a good name for this. This is a
- 9:52Speaker 2: case of choosing losers over ladies.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I know, I don't hate that, I guess.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Okay, all right, let me read this.
- 10:00Speaker 1: If this guy is one of those.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Well, according to her friends, maybe Hey, Gab and Angie,
- 10:06Speaker 2: I need your help. I'm in a long distance relationship relationship,
- 10:10Speaker 2: and after a messy breakup, my boyfriend and I decided
- 10:12Speaker 2: to get back together. Things still feel a little shaky,
- 10:16Speaker 2: but I decided to go all in and surprise him
- 10:19Speaker 2: with a visit. It was amazing, totally worth it. But
- 10:23Speaker 2: now I'm flat broke. Here's the problem. My friends had
- 10:25Speaker 2: already planned a Mexico trip, and now they're livid that
- 10:29Speaker 2: I'm backing out. They've never really liked my boyfriend and
- 10:32Speaker 2: keep saying I'm choosing him over them. I just don't
- 10:37Speaker 2: have the money, and honestly, that trip to see him
- 10:40Speaker 2: felt like something I needed for myself and for us.
- 10:43Speaker 2: So now I'm the broke friend who ditched everyone for
- 10:46Speaker 2: a guy. Be honest, Am I the problem? Or is
- 10:49Speaker 2: following my heart the right thing to do? Adriana. Adriana,
- 10:56Speaker 2: I hate to say it, but I feel like you
- 10:59Speaker 2: are the problem. You already had this trip planned with
- 11:04Speaker 2: your friends, so you backing out for whatever reason is rude.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I think that is rude. And may I get that
- 11:12Speaker 2: you love your guy. I get that you feel like
- 11:15Speaker 2: this visit with him was totally worth it and whatever,
- 11:18Speaker 2: and that's probably true. But then what's also true is
- 11:21Speaker 2: that you're the problem. I'm not saying don't follow your
- 11:24Speaker 2: heart if that's what you felt, but you have to
- 11:27Speaker 2: accept the consequences that your friends are mad at you.
- 11:30Speaker 3: And I get that, Adriana, you are not the problem. Okay,
- 11:34Speaker 3: I'm why am I not surprised? Arianna? I am talking
- 11:38Speaker 3: to your friends right now. I hope they're tuned in
- 11:40Speaker 3: here to Big ninety eight point seven and I'll give
- 11:42Speaker 3: us a call and let us know about their frustration
- 11:45Speaker 3: at seven oh one to eight zero one to nine
- 11:46Speaker 3: eighty seven. Here's where Adriana's friends are the problem. First off, Adriana,
- 11:52Speaker 3: just bust out a credit card, go in debt. Then
- 11:54Speaker 3: your friends won't be mad at you, who cares paid
- 11:56Speaker 3: off later?
- 11:56Speaker 1: All right?
- 11:56Speaker 3: Second, your friends should be like, oh, okay, she doesn't
- 12:01Speaker 3: have money, we don't want you to go. Then I'm sorry,
- 12:06Speaker 3: but there is nothing worse than when you get a
- 12:10Speaker 3: group of people to go on vacation and there's the
- 12:13Speaker 3: one person who you know, and this is sad that
- 12:16Speaker 3: it happens, but there's the one person who can't really
- 12:18Speaker 3: afford to go do this, or has to check their
- 12:21Speaker 3: bank account after every single purchase, or can't go to
- 12:24Speaker 3: this dinner.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Or go to this club or whatever.
- 12:28Speaker 3: There is nothing worse than when you have budgeted to
- 12:32Speaker 3: go do the things you want on this vacation and
- 12:35Speaker 3: then can't because someone in the group can't afford it.
- 12:40Speaker 3: And now, there's nothing wrong with trying to go on
- 12:42Speaker 3: vacation on a budget, I'm not saying that, but when
- 12:44Speaker 3: you have a group, you have to unify said amount
- 12:49Speaker 3: of money you're going to spend. What these friends should
- 12:52Speaker 3: be saying is hallelujah, brokey can't go. That is what
- 12:57Speaker 3: they should be saying, and they can now go out
- 13:00Speaker 3: and do all of the things they want. It sounds
- 13:02Speaker 3: like there's a group of people, right, Yeah, it's not
- 13:04Speaker 3: like Adriana is ditching one person that she has this
- 13:09Speaker 3: vacation with.
- 13:10Speaker 1: It is a group.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Hey great, Adriana, you know what, Yeah, it's kind of
- 13:14Speaker 3: dumb that you blew all your money going to your
- 13:16Speaker 3: boyfriend thing, but we get it.
- 13:17Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Now you can stay at home and wait till you
- 13:20Speaker 3: get paid for the next vacation or whatever we're all
- 13:23Speaker 3: gonna go and not worry about that. It sounds harsh,
- 13:26Speaker 3: but there's nothing worse than trying to cater to the
- 13:30Speaker 3: person who can't really afford to go on vacation and
- 13:33Speaker 3: catering to what they can and can't do.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Gosh, I actually agree with that. Also, is this like
- 13:39Speaker 2: a both? And what are your Definitely a both?
- 13:41Speaker 3: And she should never wasted all her money on a
- 13:44Speaker 3: quick little boyfriend visit when she had these plans already?
- 13:47Speaker 4: What are your thoughts on this?
- 13:48Speaker 2: Seven one one two eight oz one nine eight seven
- 13:51Speaker 2: is Adrianna the problem for blowing all her money on
- 13:54Speaker 2: a trip to see her long distance boyfriend, which made
- 13:57Speaker 2: her back out of an already planned trip to mex
- 14:00Speaker 2: Co with her friends. The problem, Adriana wrote in wondering
- 14:09Speaker 2: if she's the problem. She got back together with her
- 14:11Speaker 2: long distance boyfriend after a breakup and spent all her
- 14:14Speaker 2: money surprising him with a visit. Now her friends are
- 14:17Speaker 2: angry she's backing out of their Mexico trip, saying she's
- 14:20Speaker 2: choosing him over them, So she's wondering if she's the problem,
- 14:24Speaker 2: we're just following her heart.
- 14:27Speaker 4: What are your thoughts, Gabe.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Well, there's kind of two parts to how I feel
- 14:32Speaker 3: about this. I think her friends are the problem. If
- 14:35Speaker 3: you're if you have a group of people and there's
- 14:37Speaker 3: the one person you know sadly, you know their funds
- 14:40Speaker 3: are low at the time. There is nothing worse than
- 14:43Speaker 3: going on vacation with someone who really can't afford to
- 14:45Speaker 3: go on vacation. Yeah, nothing worse. They should be elated
- 14:49Speaker 3: that they don't have to worry about this anymore. Now,
- 14:52Speaker 3: I will say, I want to know how it booked
- 14:56Speaker 3: this trip was Is it we talked about it can
- 15:00Speaker 3: wine one Saturday in the on our patio and now
- 15:04Speaker 3: she's backing out, Or is it hey, we bought playing tickets,
- 15:07Speaker 3: we have hotel, blah blah blah. How often do you
- 15:10Speaker 3: sit around with your friends and you're like, oh, yeah,
- 15:12Speaker 3: we should go do this.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Yeah, but you haven't, like you set the plans.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 15:20Speaker 3: So I'm a bit curious if they're mad that this
- 15:23Speaker 3: was talked about and she's backed out, or how advanced
- 15:26Speaker 3: the planning the plans are.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, because if it was like, hello, we had all
- 15:30Speaker 2: talked about doing this, and we said that we were
- 15:33Speaker 2: going to go next month, and now you can't, yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 2: versus we have the plane tickets, we have the airbnb,
- 15:39Speaker 2: we have yeah, in which case it would be like, wow,
- 15:42Speaker 2: you really well. I already thought Adriana was the problem. Honestly,
- 15:45Speaker 2: I thought that that was not a good look because
- 15:48Speaker 2: I get that you would want to see your long
- 15:50Speaker 2: distance boyfriend. I'm not saying that that's like bad, but
- 15:54Speaker 2: then you have to accept the consequences that your friends
- 15:58Speaker 2: are going to be mad at you.
- 15:59Speaker 4: And I think it's it's a little bit wild to like,
- 16:02Speaker 4: am I wrong.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Or you know, no, you are wrong. You are wrong,
- 16:06Speaker 2: but like that's okay. Just accept that you're wrong in
- 16:09Speaker 2: this situation. And you have to just accept that your
- 16:11Speaker 2: friends are.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Mad at you. That's right, Kaylee said.
- 16:15Speaker 3: I don't think you're the problem, but I think you
- 16:17Speaker 3: may regret this decision. If you and this man have
- 16:20Speaker 3: already broken up once, it doesn't sound like a very
- 16:22Speaker 3: healthy relationship, and now you've given up this fun trip
- 16:25Speaker 3: with your potentially lifelong friend.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I love. The potentially is in what's it called parentheses?
- 16:32Speaker 3: Yeah, potentially lifelong friends for this man or relationship that
- 16:36Speaker 3: doesn't seem healthy or stable.
- 16:38Speaker 1: So Kaylee is saying she's.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Not really the problem, but in the long run, this
- 16:43Speaker 3: might not have been the best choice.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I did see here. Ashley said, a true friend
- 16:48Speaker 2: will understand the choice you made and get over it.
- 16:51Speaker 2: And you know what that is that maybe I'm doing
- 16:55Speaker 2: a one to eighty cause I feel if I in
- 16:57Speaker 2: the context of if this was my one of my friends,
- 17:00Speaker 2: I would get over it. I would get I think
- 17:03Speaker 2: she dumb for right now, but I would get over it.
- 17:06Speaker 3: I'm trying to think if I had a like a
- 17:08Speaker 3: buddy do this to me. And once again, this is
- 17:10Speaker 3: very different. ANDNG and I plan on going on a
- 17:13Speaker 3: vacation just us two and she kind of bails last minute.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Well that stinks because now I gotta go to Mexico solo, which, obviously,
- 17:21Speaker 3: you know what, could be fun. It would be an
- 17:23Speaker 3: interesting time, but it's not the same Now, if you
- 17:25Speaker 3: have a giant group of people, or even you know,
- 17:28Speaker 3: four or five people, it doesn't have to be a
- 17:30Speaker 3: giant group and one person backs out. It's not like
- 17:32Speaker 3: you're off on this solo adventure. You still have a
- 17:35Speaker 3: group of people.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Sure, Adriana. That's the other thing, Adriana.
- 17:39Speaker 2: If I mean, if you really feel like you need
- 17:41Speaker 2: to make a case with your friends, if it's all together,
- 17:44Speaker 2: it was gonna be a group of five, this is
- 17:46Speaker 2: your opportunity to be like wait, wait, wait, I was
- 17:48Speaker 2: the fifth wheel.
- 17:49Speaker 4: Now you guys can pare off. Yeah, that's the argument
- 17:52Speaker 4: I would make to try to get out of it.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Yeah, and then just guilt him and ask him if
- 17:56Speaker 1: you wanted to be lonely.
- 17:57Speaker 3: And single when you're fifty or something, you know, just
- 17:59Speaker 3: flip the script. Now it is almost Halloween, I mean,
- 18:09Speaker 3: only eleven days away. And then we get closer and closer.
- 18:12Speaker 3: And I don't know about you, but it always sneaks
- 18:14Speaker 3: up on me. Holiday season is like, oh my god,
- 18:16Speaker 3: it's here already.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Holiday season for me starts November first.
- 18:19Speaker 1: So, yeah, Corey told me yesterday.
- 18:22Speaker 3: My wife Corey says, just so you know, November one,
- 18:24Speaker 3: I will be doing Christmas.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Dec one hundred.
- 18:26Speaker 2: I'm in love with your wife, like she and I
- 18:28Speaker 2: are cut from the same cloth.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:30Speaker 3: And so as you're at this time of the year going, oh,
- 18:34Speaker 3: you know, I really got to do some of that
- 18:36Speaker 3: holiday shopping. Unless you're like me, and you do that
- 18:38Speaker 3: stuff on December twenty fourth, don't forget about your kids, teacher,
- 18:44Speaker 3: all right, what do you get the teacher of your student?
- 18:49Speaker 1: What do they really want?
- 18:51Speaker 4: All right?
- 18:51Speaker 3: If you are a teacher, can you either text us
- 18:54Speaker 3: or call us at seven oh one two eight zero
- 18:57Speaker 3: one nine eight seven, Because I did find some thing
- 19:00Speaker 3: that did say what teachers enjoy the most around the holidays,
- 19:04Speaker 3: and I want to see how true this is.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Well, you know, Mike's a teacher, and so I asked
- 19:09Speaker 2: him because you mentioned this earlier. So I was like, hey, babe,
- 19:13Speaker 2: what's what's your favorite gifts you've ever gotten from students?
- 19:17Speaker 2: And you know what his a lot of times people
- 19:20Speaker 2: his students give gift cards and he does like those,
- 19:23Speaker 2: like gift cards to Starbucks, gift cards to home Depot
- 19:25Speaker 2: because that's his jam.
- 19:27Speaker 4: But that a home made gift is like his favorite
- 19:31Speaker 4: thing on the planet.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Like homemade cards, anything that's like an arts and craft
- 19:37Speaker 2: project that the kids like took time to make.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Yeah, those are the ones that are like the most special.
- 19:43Speaker 2: So if you're not trying to spend an arm and
- 19:45Speaker 2: a leg, maybe just have your kid do a craft
- 19:49Speaker 2: for their team.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, I think that'd be awesome. You know, I
- 19:52Speaker 3: have the answer of what teachers don't want. Oh, and
- 19:56Speaker 3: I will tell it to you in just a couple
- 19:57Speaker 3: of minutes. Here, I do want to get to Alex here. Alex,
- 20:01Speaker 3: what's the best gift you've received as a teacher. My
- 20:04Speaker 3: class got together and wrote me a song and performed
- 20:07Speaker 3: it for me just before Christmas break, and I was
- 20:10Speaker 3: blown away.
- 20:11Speaker 1: It actually brought me to tears. That's incredible.
- 20:13Speaker 2: That's the kind of stuff, like, the heartfelt stuff is
- 20:17Speaker 2: I feel like what teachers are into the most.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:19Speaker 3: I gave my teacher a just a handwritten note about
- 20:23Speaker 3: how awesome she was for Christmas one year, which was
- 20:26Speaker 3: kind of funny because the next year she went and
- 20:28Speaker 3: taught at a different school. And then two years later
- 20:30Speaker 3: I had moved, our family moved, and I attended her
- 20:33Speaker 3: school and she had the note on the first day
- 20:36Speaker 3: that I went to class. I will never forget that. Yeah,
- 20:39Speaker 3: it was pretty cool. Yeah, Okay, Melanie, what about you?
- 20:42Speaker 3: Best gift you've ever received her? Are just the one
- 20:44Speaker 3: You've appreciated a lot. A student of mine once takes
- 20:47Speaker 3: me cookies and then put them in a tupperware with
- 20:49Speaker 3: a note that said return this or fail me, and
- 20:52Speaker 3: it is still one of my favorite treats. I think
- 20:54Speaker 3: that's kind of Glenn. Do you want to know what
- 20:56Speaker 3: teachers don't want or you know, if they had their choice.
- 20:59Speaker 3: I'm sure it's nice and they appreciate it, but what
- 21:01Speaker 3: they would prefer to not get chocolate?
- 21:05Speaker 4: Oh? Really?
- 21:07Speaker 3: Yeah? Which I find kind of interesting here You're trying
- 21:09Speaker 3: to dump off all this Halloween candy to someone. Yeah,
- 21:12Speaker 3: it looks like your kid's teacher isn't the one to
- 21:14Speaker 3: give it to.
- 21:15Speaker 4: That's so funny.
- 21:16Speaker 2: You know what someone just texted in saying a happy
- 21:18Speaker 2: Harry's gift card.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Gabe's good news of the day today is, like many
- 21:31Speaker 3: of you, my wife has donated some bras for Bras
- 21:36Speaker 3: on Big ninety eight point seven. Angie and I will
- 21:39Speaker 3: be running over to Corwin today to donate some of
- 21:43Speaker 3: the bras that my wife is going to donate, which
- 21:46Speaker 3: I just wanted to give her some love and a
- 21:48Speaker 3: shout out. And then I just want to give a
- 21:50Speaker 3: couple of people a shout out to at bra Code
- 21:53Speaker 3: this past Friday who also donated bras while we were
- 21:57Speaker 3: there helping to raise money for the Escent Health Foundation.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Just such a nice gesture by so many people on Friday,
- 22:05Speaker 3: and then obviously my wife today which I'm very thankful for.
- 22:08Speaker 1: And it's just really really cool to see.
- 22:10Speaker 2: And just a reminder you still have time to donate
- 22:13Speaker 2: a BRA going through the end of October. If you
- 22:16Speaker 2: donate a BRA at any Corwin location, they will donate
- 22:19Speaker 2: ten dollars for each bra and all of those proceeds
- 22:23Speaker 2: go to a cential Health Foundation to help those going
- 22:26Speaker 2: through cancer treatment with comfort items. And we just heard
- 22:29Speaker 2: from Marguerite who directly got to use some of these
- 22:33Speaker 2: comfort items while she went through treatment. So you know,
- 22:36Speaker 2: it's good to know where the money is going and
- 22:39Speaker 2: every little bit helps. So donate a BRA if you.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Can to Corwin.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Yeah, and the money too. Also, it's a local thing.
- 22:47Speaker 3: It stays right here. Yes, you know there are a
- 22:49Speaker 3: ton of tons of fundraisers that are great for like
- 22:52Speaker 3: the world or the country or whatever, but this one
- 22:55Speaker 3: is for us. You know, you help make this and
- 22:57Speaker 3: we can well they keep the money here in the
- 23:01Speaker 3: FM area with essential health.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so this could go to help your neighbor, a teacher,
- 23:05Speaker 2: you know, your delivery person. You never know yeah, but
- 23:10Speaker 2: it all stays here in the FM area and we
- 23:12Speaker 2: love that. So shout out to everyone who has donated
- 23:15Speaker 2: bras so far, to Bras on Big, and shout out
- 23:18Speaker 2: to everyone who's going.
- 23:19Speaker 3: To That's right, you have eleven days, still plenty of time.
- 23:22Speaker 3: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 23:25Speaker 3: find one, you gotta be one.
