- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville jackwars fans welcome in to do all daily presented by jing Jack dot com i'm Jordan Deluga.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: Sunday May 31st is when we're recording this because it's coming out early in the morning on Monday day of Jacksonville jackwars OTA number 4 for 2026 off season going to be out there.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: Practice starts at 9 a.m. so don't really have time.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: to get in the studio and get a recording done to preview that practice in the morning.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to do it tonight and publish first thing in the morning.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: So y'all will have plenty to look forward to tomorrow.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: And then we'll recap the practice as well afterwards.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, paying this much attention to an OTA unpatted practice.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: You've got, you know, helmets and shorts and shirts on like it's it's it's
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: If you're paying attention at this time of year, you're an absolute sicko, just like myself, and I absolutely love that, right?
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not that important in terms of like, if X player looks really good during a practice at this time of year, it doesn't matter, no, but if players are stacking practices, if players are looking really good consistently, if some players aren't looking so hot,
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: these are different things that you notice obviously the eye were anytime there's injuries or absences because right now it is voluntary so guys don't have to be out there but we're gonna take a look we're gonna pay attention and I'll tell you what I am looking for tomorrow like what I'm specifically gonna be looking at tomorrow so
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: really appreciate y'all tuning in supporting the channel love talking jack's football and i wouldn't be able to do it if it wasn't for you guys so really appreciate you if you do enjoy the content please like subscribe you can also hit that high button let me know what you're paying attention to over this kind of OTAs and we're going to get into mandatory mini camp as well later on in the month so what am i looking for?
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think it always goes back to the quarterback, right?
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence, I mean, most important position, certainly, I'm football, arguably, in any sport, but Trevor Lawrence, I thought, had like almost.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: A, like, like, best practice of his career in OTA's type of performance, but he did have the one in herception.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, he was like 16 of 19, I think, something like that on the day, just a bunch of nice completions all over the place, looking comfortable in rhythm.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: And he should.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's seven on seven.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: You're not getting hit back there, right?
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's what it should look like at this time of year.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: But you would rather it look how it should.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: then not look how it should, right?
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: So, I think just another impressive day from Trevor, but hopefully no questionable decisions or poor passes.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: He looked really good connecting with all the receivers.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: But the thing everyone's watching for and paying attention to is his connection with Brian Thomas Jr., the chemistry with Brian Thomas Jr.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: It looked good.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: Again, you have to take that with a little bit of a grain of salt at this time of year, but you would rather it look good right now than look clunky.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: So can they continue to stack that?
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: That will be huge.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, with Parker Washington, I mean, he continued.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: He dominated the end of the year, dominated in the playoffs, dominated in that first practice.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: We were at OTA number one last week on Tuesday.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: well he continued to look down on me and he had the most targets for any receiver for the Jaguars and that practice by far and that's how he was most of the end of last season as well.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: So he's looking like an absolute stud and somebody that they need to get locked up sooner rather than later.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about that.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: Jacobi Myers.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: looked good but there was just like a couple moments where he made uncharacteristic like he had a drop that you wouldn't normally see Jacobi Myers drop a pass doesn't matter no but you want to see guys you know clean that up obviously now and in terms of like players that you didn't see
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: Chris Rodriguez was there, did not practice at OTA number one, Liam Cohen mentioned something about an injury report, which we obviously don't get injury reports at this time of year, so I don't know if that was just tongue and cheek or what.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just be looking to see like house Chris Rodriguez doing we can't really like report on what guys are doing if they're not participating in practice like what their level of activity is and stuff like that.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully he'll be participating and we can see but if there's just like some minor little injury going on something like that.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: But he's not the only back that half for one.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: And for two, he's worked in Liam Cohen's system before.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not gonna be completely foreign.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like he's getting behind the A-ball in my mind from like an understanding of this offense.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: But I won't tell you what, I mean, Basel Tutan and Lee Kuan Allen both looked really, really good in the first practice that we were at.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: And of course evaluating running back can be difficult.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: But Tutan looks quick, he looks fast, he looks more decisive in agile.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think Liam Cohen mentioned he looked more agile.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: So Chris Rodriguez is going to have his work cut out for him.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: If he misses a lot of time trying to, you know,
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think takes Naps away from those guys because they're fighting.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: They're hungry.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: They want it all.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: And they want to be out there as much as they can possibly be out there, get those reps. Not only now, but like earning those reps in the season, you know, basult toon and liquid Allen.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think toon has a bigger projected role than Allen.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think Allen would like to fight for more than that.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like you see that every single time he's on the field, he's giving
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: you know, 110%, it feels like like absolute dog, fighter, great passport tector, great receiver out of the back field.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: So that's somebody that, I mean, two in an Allen, they could be like a two-headed monster in the future.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: But Chris Rodriguez, he's here.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's yet on the field at some point, obviously, but he's a tough runner and he provides a level of strength and physicality that I don't think either of those guys really possess, not that
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: not that they don't have any of that, but like Chris Rodriguez is a big physical tackle breaking back.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'd like to see him out there.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: maybe a shame or a travesty whatever you want to call it that I have not mentioned Travis Hunter yet.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the guys not really practicing, at least not fully yet.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, we did see him catching some passes from the quarterbacks last practice, not wearing a helmet, so like not really going.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: He was just like so locked in with the offense.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: He was wearing the teal jersey, the offensive jersey last week when we were out there.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like you could tell he was dialed in every single play call, paying attention, like thinking about how he'd be doing that, what he'd be doing on that given play.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: just so fired up.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: You can just see it.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: It emanates off of him.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like how excited he is to get back out there.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: Will he still be doing that this week in this practice that we're at?
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: Or will he be on the defense aside?
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: Pay attention with those guys and learn from those corners and all that stuff.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: So that'll be just something to keep an eye on.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody wants to know where his Travis Hunter, what is he doing?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's a superstar and people want to know.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely we'll be keeping an eye on
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: talking about defense and coverage, man, he had a great play at the line of skirmish in coverage in this past practice that we were at last week.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: I thought when he was on the field last year for Devon Lloyd, he looked awesome.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think he practice is awesome.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think he had a great practice in the first one that we were at overall.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just going to be keeping an eye on him because I'm telling people like, this guy can play.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: And I know a lot of people were like, land back because of a big need for the Jaguars.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: You got to, you got to, you got to, I don't think so.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: You got foe, you got ventral, you got young guys, you like, I think they're in a good spot.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: When it comes to Josh Heinz Allen, he was not out there in the first practice, but I believe he is back with the team at, I think.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: So that's just something we're going to be monitoring tomorrow as well, pretty sure he is back with the team, but kind of see it with my own two eyes.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: and not that it really matters.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: Again, it's voluntary.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: If he believes, he's somebody who is locked in as anyone.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: So if he believes, like it's in his best interest to be training in Arizona or wherever else, I really don't care.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: At this point, I don't, I think Josh is such a awesome, awesome player and awesome leader and worker.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be where he needs to be when he needs to be there.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: And so I do believe he's there, but just saying, I wouldn't really care if he wasn't, but when he is there, it's good to see him because he's a heck of a talent.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: And just somebody that kind of has a great enthusiasm and way about him.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: on the field and when he's in the building.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: So that'll do it.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: Excited to get out there for practice tomorrow morning.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: Probably going to be a hot muggy one.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: First day of June.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in so much.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: Means the world to me.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: Please like, subscribe.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: You can hit that high button as well.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
