- 0:38Speaker 3: I think I have an identity problem. Sometimes I feel
- 0:42Speaker 3: like a tpe. Other times I think I feel like
- 0:47Speaker 3: a wigwam. The doctor looks at him and says, you're
- 0:53Speaker 3: just too tense. Welcome to this week's episode of Positively
- 1:02Speaker 3: three sixty five. Today we're talking about a topic that's
- 1:07Speaker 3: both freeing and at times perhaps frightening. Authenticity, the courage
- 1:15Speaker 3: to be yourself in a world full of filters, edits
- 1:19Speaker 3: and expectations. Being authentic can feel risky at times, but
- 1:26Speaker 3: here's the truth. When you show up as who you
- 1:30Speaker 3: really are, flaws, quirks, strengths and all, life gets a
- 1:35Speaker 3: lot more meaningful. So today let's talk about what it
- 1:40Speaker 3: really means to live authentically and why it might be
- 1:44Speaker 3: the most important thing you ever do. But first, let's
- 1:49Speaker 3: take a moment for our trivia question of the day.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Are you ready for it? Here? It is what philosopher
- 1:57Speaker 3: is often credited with the quote know thyself, We'll have
- 2:02Speaker 3: the answer when we come back. Hey, they're amazing listeners

- 3:37Speaker 3: for listening, and happy reading. Do you know the answer
- 3:47Speaker 3: to this week's trivia question? The question was what philosopher
- 3:53Speaker 3: is often credited with the quote no thyself. The answer Socrates.
- 3:59Speaker 3: That's right, Socrates, the ancient Greek philosopher, emphasized self awareness
- 4:05Speaker 3: as a foundation for wisdom and ethical living. Know Thyself
- 4:10Speaker 3: was even inscribed at the Temple of Apollo in Delphi,
- 4:15Speaker 3: reflecting how deeply this idea was woven into Greek culture.
- 4:20Speaker 3: It's still just as powerful today. When you know yourself
- 4:24Speaker 3: and accept yourself, you can live with clarity, purpose, and peace.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Now you know, authenticity isn't about being loud or oversharing
- 4:43Speaker 3: every thought. It's not about being perfect either. It's about alignment,
- 4:49Speaker 3: making sure your outer life reflects your inner truth. That
- 4:55Speaker 3: means making decisions based on what you value, not just
- 5:00Speaker 3: what others expect. It means honoring your voice, your boundaries,
- 5:05Speaker 3: and your dreams. And yes, it means risking rejections sometimes
- 5:11Speaker 3: because not everyone will like the real you. That's okay.
- 5:16Speaker 3: But here's the thing. The right people, the ones who matter,
- 5:20Speaker 3: will respect you more for being genuine, and perhaps more importantly,
- 5:26Speaker 3: you will respect yourself more. Living authentically gives you a
- 5:32Speaker 3: kind of inner freedom, the freedom to stop pretending, to
- 5:36Speaker 3: stop performing, to stop apologizing for who you are. It's
- 5:42Speaker 3: not always easy, but it is always worth it. Here
- 5:59Speaker 3: is a thought to take with you. I'm reminded of
- 6:03Speaker 3: a quote from Oscar Wilde, who said, be yourself. Everyone
- 6:08Speaker 3: else is already taken. You are not here to be
- 6:13Speaker 3: a copy of anyone else. You are here to live
- 6:17Speaker 3: your story, in your voice, on your terms. So be brave,
- 6:24Speaker 3: be honest, be you. That's where your true power is.
- 6:31Speaker 3: That is authenticity.
