- 1:27Speaker 2: of course tomorrow will be again. I call it week zero.
- 1:31Speaker 2: That's where I've been getting confused. I know I confused
- 1:33Speaker 2: a lot of people yesterday thinking week zero in college
- 1:36Speaker 2: was this weekend. It's week zero in high school. And
- 1:39Speaker 2: I call it week zero because you got the m
- 1:40Speaker 2: AI is playing, but you don't have the MHSAA, so
- 1:43Speaker 2: it can't give me a full week one unless everybody's playing.
- 1:46Speaker 2: That's next week. We're brought to you by Maristar Casino.

- 2:07Speaker 2: Medicine collar line. Their walking location is in Flowood and
- 2:10Speaker 2: missisippisports Medicine dot com six or one eight nine seven

- 2:21Speaker 2: factory certified. All the manufacturers you trust with Clinton Body
- 2:25Speaker 2: Shop beav. How many minutes do we walk today?
- 2:30Speaker 4: This afternoon came in at forty two.
- 2:33Speaker 2: So you're pacing around forty seven? Is that accurate?
- 2:37Speaker 4: Around forty seven?
- 2:39Speaker 2: What do you mean like forty on average forty seven
- 2:42Speaker 2: minutes in the afternoon per day.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Oh, it's somewhere around there.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:47Speaker 4: I try to I try to go no less than forty.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Oh, no less than forty. Yeah, because in their old strategy,
- 2:55Speaker 2: like if you go used to it was if you
- 2:57Speaker 2: walk less than thirty on a treadmill, then you're not
- 2:59Speaker 2: really doing anything. You don't start a caloric burn. Is
- 3:02Speaker 2: that kind of your your deal here, like you got
- 3:04Speaker 2: to get so many minutes in to get the calorie burn. Yeah.
- 3:07Speaker 5: And I well, it's also just my brain space. Like
- 3:12Speaker 5: if I'm coming up and something's at like thirty eight minutes,
- 3:15Speaker 5: I'm like, well, I gotta get forty or if I'm
- 3:17Speaker 5: at forty one, most times I'll think, well I have
- 3:21Speaker 5: did forty five now, but today I couldn't. I was like,
- 3:24Speaker 5: you know what, forty two is good. Let's go inside.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I like this. So you've got a Tom Brady mentality
- 3:29Speaker 2: to all this, like just reach for the next, reach
- 3:33Speaker 2: for the next. Yeah, I like it. All right, let's
- 3:36Speaker 2: get into it. A lot to get to here. We
- 3:38Speaker 2: got some news out of Southern Miss. We've got some
- 3:40Speaker 2: renaming going on, potentially for the stadium down there at
- 3:43Speaker 2: the Rock, also baseball facilities at Southern Miss. A lot
- 3:46Speaker 2: going on in college sports, but none bigger than the
- 3:50Speaker 2: guys that are coming to or want to come back
- 3:52Speaker 2: to college. We were on this yesterday and it continues
- 3:54Speaker 2: today as Chris Hummer with CBS Sports dot Com open
- 3:58Speaker 2: the floodgates how college football affers are reacting to the
- 4:01Speaker 2: fallout of NFL players returning. I cannot believe we are here.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I'm serious. I can't believe we are right here in
- 4:11Speaker 2: this moment where NFL players are going to be allowed
- 4:15Speaker 2: to come back to college. You know, I had somebody
- 4:18Speaker 2: tell me yesterday and I hadn't thought about this, And
- 4:21Speaker 2: I'll go ahead and give credits Rod from his Tomb
- 4:23Speaker 2: sports Medicine. I don't think he'd mind me telling you,
- 4:25Speaker 2: because Rod was seventeen or fourteen years in the NFL
- 4:29Speaker 2: with the Jacksonville Jaguars and a few more. As far
- 4:31Speaker 2: as a leite trainer, he says, here's what nobody's thinking
- 4:35Speaker 2: about these guys from the NFL. So you leave college
- 4:39Speaker 2: and let's say the seniors go to you know, the
- 4:42Speaker 2: Senior Bowl or the Hula Bowl or whatever they do,
- 4:44Speaker 2: and then they go to the combine. Well, they've spent
- 4:47Speaker 2: the last nine, you know, months, basically focused nothing but
- 4:52Speaker 2: on their body. Now, college athletes work out really hard.
- 4:55Speaker 2: But NFL training tables, NFL prep all this stuff, NFL camps.
- 5:01Speaker 2: They're going to be in unbelievable shape. Now the college
- 5:04Speaker 2: athletes are too, but just they've been, they've been at
- 5:07Speaker 2: the pro game, and now they're going to be allowed
- 5:09Speaker 2: to come back to college. That's going to be a
- 5:10Speaker 2: big difference. Man. This story is just crazy and I
- 5:13Speaker 2: can't believe we're here. As Chris Hummer reports on cbsports
- 5:19Speaker 2: dot Com, he says, another week and other earth shattering
- 5:22Speaker 2: lawsuit in college football. Nineteen days after the judge in
- 5:25Speaker 2: Colorado issued a sweeping temporary restraining order that allowed all
- 5:29Speaker 2: class of twenty twenty two athletes to return to school
- 5:32Speaker 2: for a fifth year, a judge in Louisiana issued an
- 5:35Speaker 2: order Wednesday yesterday that now allows double digit football players
- 5:39Speaker 2: to return to the sport in twenty twenty six, with
- 5:42Speaker 2: an added caveat the NCAA can't enforce its rules to
- 5:47Speaker 2: prevent players who signed professional contracts from returning to college.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I just don't understand how judges have this kind of
- 5:57Speaker 2: power over this kind of stuff. I mean, I know
- 6:01Speaker 2: judges are smart for the most part, but they don't
- 6:04Speaker 2: know everything about everything. This just blows my mind. And
- 6:09Speaker 2: remember this was all brought on because the NCAA passed
- 6:13Speaker 2: a law that says, hey, now, moving forward, you've got
- 6:15Speaker 2: five years to play five if you turn nineteen or
- 6:18Speaker 2: you first year enrolled in college, you got five to
- 6:21Speaker 2: play five. Well, these other guys are saying, well, we
- 6:23Speaker 2: didn't get our five. We didn't get our five. We
- 6:27Speaker 2: want our five. Well, it's supposed to start this year,
- 6:30Speaker 2: moving forward, not look backwards. That means current players on
- 6:35Speaker 2: NFL rosters such as Tampa Bay Buccaneers edge rusher Jack
- 6:37Speaker 2: Pyburn and Cleveland Browns tight end to Kwan Wright, both
- 6:40Speaker 2: of whom were part of the lawsuit, can return to
- 6:43Speaker 2: college right entered the transfer portal today, just literally less
- 6:49Speaker 2: than two hours ago, Cleveland Brown's tight end former Old
- 6:51Speaker 2: Miss product to Kwan Wright, has entered the transfer portal.
- 6:54Speaker 2: The former Old Miss star is currently on the Browns roster.
- 6:58Speaker 2: The scope of the ruling is limited. It applies only
- 7:01Speaker 2: to the players in the lawsuit and is a temporary
- 7:04Speaker 2: measure until an injunction hearing is held, But it still
- 7:09Speaker 2: set off a bomb in college football front offices as
- 7:12Speaker 2: team's now scramble to deal with the impact. Should they
- 7:15Speaker 2: go after one of the players who's now eligible, could
- 7:18Speaker 2: one of their former players, say one cut by an
- 7:21Speaker 2: NFL team goes soue to return. How long will this
- 7:24Speaker 2: even last? Or will another develop development prevent these players
- 7:28Speaker 2: from playing college football this season? Those are the questions
- 7:31Speaker 2: that front offices and staffords are asking at this point. Quote,
- 7:35Speaker 2: you find the person that knows what's going on, and
- 7:38Speaker 2: you let me know, an SEC director of Player Personnel
- 7:41Speaker 2: to the CBS Sports in the midst of the chaos.
- 7:44Speaker 2: This is what CBS Sports is hearing from sources around
- 7:47Speaker 2: the college football landscape about the lawsuit in Louisiana and
- 7:50Speaker 2: what it means. Just one week before the start of
- 7:54Speaker 2: the season, says, are more lawsuits coming, yes, quote a
- 7:57Speaker 2: lot more. Despite the NCAA and Colorado District Judge Charlotte
- 8:01Speaker 2: Sweeney clarifying earlier this month that the July ruling wouldn't
- 8:05Speaker 2: override the NCAA's rules regarding players who have signed NFL contracts,
- 8:10Speaker 2: there were still teams in recent weeks that remained in
- 8:12Speaker 2: contract contact with camp camps of players in that category
- 8:17Speaker 2: who were interested in the possibility of returning to college.
- 8:20Speaker 2: It's got a ready teddy teddy, welcome in, brother, How
- 8:22Speaker 2: you doing? Hey? You doing?
- 8:24Speaker 1: Man?
- 8:24Speaker 6: As an old myths fan and the Lane kiff lane
- 8:27Speaker 6: Kiffin did all of this. You can't tell that a
- 8:30Speaker 6: klawn right whole myths? What Judge, Louana, Judge, this has
- 8:34Speaker 6: lane Kiffin written all over.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Wait a minute, how did lane kiffen do this?
- 8:40Speaker 6: Okay, right, whole myths?
- 8:42Speaker 2: Right? Well, yeah, but there's players from like, you know,
- 8:45Speaker 2: ten different universities.
- 8:47Speaker 6: I know what state? Lane?
- 8:50Speaker 2: Oh so you say you I get, I get where
- 8:54Speaker 2: you're going? Now, Judge, you think lane Kiffin is trying
- 8:59Speaker 2: to buck the system here.
- 9:01Speaker 6: To a judge, Yeah, and he he openly speaks how
- 9:06Speaker 6: the system is broken or whatever. But you know, we
- 9:10Speaker 6: loved it when he was an ocre and I kind
- 9:11Speaker 6: of still love it because because of Lane Kiffing, Old
- 9:13Speaker 6: Miss is still Goldie learned the portal stuff from Lane
- 9:18Speaker 6: gets obviously, and so yeah, I mean Louisiana Ole Miss
- 9:24Speaker 6: starts tight end elus, he's not really loaded a tight end. Yeah,
- 9:28Speaker 6: Lane Giffon did it. Well, someone blame you know, no
- 9:31Speaker 6: matter what happens a Lane Giffons faught as far as
- 9:33Speaker 6: I'm con but.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Yeah, that's my story and I stick to it.
- 9:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm just messing with the album, man.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Uh.
- 9:40Speaker 6: And it just really is a bad looking And how
- 9:43Speaker 6: about the n c double A that they couldn't have
- 9:45Speaker 6: done this back in December of the last year or
- 9:49Speaker 6: or right after the playoffs? When did they? When do
- 9:51Speaker 6: they do it two weeks before the season starts?
- 9:55Speaker 2: Well, remember the nc dou Lane didn't do this. The
- 9:58Speaker 2: judges in these states did it. Then the five.
- 10:02Speaker 6: Years, But who made the five years to play five?
- 10:05Speaker 2: Well the n CUAA did They did that several months ago?
- 10:08Speaker 6: It was several months ago. Okay, yeah, all right.
- 10:10Speaker 2: So yeah the other five to play five?
- 10:13Speaker 6: The rights on the wall. Some of these players aren't
- 10:15Speaker 6: gonna make Roster said, let's go back to coll This
- 10:16Speaker 6: is what's happened.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Absolutely, they're gonna make more money in college than you
- 10:19Speaker 2: would on a practice squad.
- 10:23Speaker 6: Boy, everybody is man. You just can't blame them that.
- 10:27Speaker 6: You can get it, get it, But it's it's you're
- 10:29Speaker 6: getting ugly and nasty. What's gonna watch It's just gonna
- 10:32Speaker 6: be an ugly and nasty while we watch it.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, we'll all watch this train wreck together.

- 12:43Speaker 2: Keith Hardy is with us. And before we bring Keith in,
- 12:45Speaker 2: I want to read this note. We're talking about opening
- 12:47Speaker 2: the show with this story on players returning from college
- 12:51Speaker 2: to the NFL. It says while there were players who'd
- 12:54Speaker 2: sign NFL, who had signed contracts who had hoped to
- 12:57Speaker 2: explore return to college, there were reservations about being the
- 13:00Speaker 2: first one to file a lawsuit in order to try
- 13:01Speaker 2: to regain college eligibility. Now players don't have to worry
- 13:04Speaker 2: about that. That's already been done. It says that has
- 13:08Speaker 2: many around front offices expecting the developments on Wednesday. As
- 13:12Speaker 2: one personnel staff or hit quote, it's going to open
- 13:14Speaker 2: the floodgates for these types of lawsuits. And a Big
- 13:17Speaker 2: twelve general manager told CBA Sports that's exactly what we're
- 13:21Speaker 2: hoping for. We need a we need a player or
- 13:24Speaker 2: to saturate the market. Baby says a big Keith Hardy,
- 13:28Speaker 2: He says could bring them home. Let's bring him back.
- 13:30Speaker 7: Man is the Are we living in a crazy time
- 13:32Speaker 7: for college football team?
- 13:34Speaker 2: I'm baffled. I mean, I really am. I mean, I
- 13:37Speaker 2: I just I can't even put into words. I never
- 13:40Speaker 2: would have. You know, we talked about this when basketball
- 13:44Speaker 2: did it last year and you saw a couple you know,
- 13:47Speaker 2: D League players, you know, come back here in Alabama.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Had a kid that came in and he played for
- 13:52Speaker 2: a game or two and there was a lawsuit he
- 13:53Speaker 2: had to sit and he ended up not being able
- 13:55Speaker 2: to play. And then people said, oh boy, here we go.
- 13:57Speaker 2: It's gonna hit football, and we thought, no, it's not
- 14:00Speaker 2: hitting here.
- 14:01Speaker 7: We are hitting football in a big way, right, even
- 14:04Speaker 7: bigger because there's going to be so many guys and
- 14:07Speaker 7: there's so much more money to.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Go back to college. It is. And I don't know
- 14:13Speaker 2: what these teams do with this. I mean, you know,
- 14:16Speaker 2: there's there's so many questions I have with this. I
- 14:19Speaker 2: believe based on yesterday and reading through some of the verbage.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Let's just take the LSU linebacker that's with Cleveland. He
- 14:27Speaker 2: could come back to lsuf I'll take you, or he
- 14:29Speaker 2: can go into the portal for a week and wherever
- 14:31Speaker 2: he wants to go and think about this. I mean,
- 14:33Speaker 2: you take Kurt Signetti for instance, in Indiana and I'm
- 14:36Speaker 2: just using them as the national champions. They lost a
- 14:39Speaker 2: you know, not a significant but some key players off
- 14:41Speaker 2: that defense. He goes, oh, wait a minute, I need
- 14:44Speaker 2: a linebacker there. He is, right there, come on down. Yeah,
- 14:46Speaker 2: But what happens because school has started in a lot
- 14:49Speaker 2: of places. You know, Mississippi State almost started this week.
- 14:52Speaker 2: You know, classes started, They're starting around the country. So
- 14:55Speaker 2: how do you form that in you've got a roster
- 14:58Speaker 2: that's full eighty five one hundred guys? Do you kick
- 15:01Speaker 2: somebody off? Right?
- 15:02Speaker 7: I mean, there's just so many questions I have with this.
- 15:04Speaker 7: I can't begin to figure out how they're gonna put
- 15:10Speaker 7: it all together. But if a guy can play, he's
- 15:13Speaker 7: gonna get on a team, right, and literally I mean,
- 15:16Speaker 7: and I mean a college team, right, Because why would
- 15:20Speaker 7: you be a practice player. I want to say, it's
- 15:22Speaker 7: like two point fifty to be a practice player when
- 15:26Speaker 7: you're gonna be making five hundred maybe a million.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Yeah. And I made a comment on this, I think
- 15:31Speaker 2: it was yesterday, and I said something about chump change,
- 15:34Speaker 2: you know, and somebody had called me. I don't know
- 15:36Speaker 2: the text time. Well, that's not chump change. Two hundred
- 15:38Speaker 2: fifty three, I get it. That's a lot of money
- 15:40Speaker 2: I'm talking about in retrospect of what these guys can
- 15:44Speaker 2: make relative to their craft. It's chump change because they
- 15:47Speaker 2: can come back to college, like you said, and just say,
- 15:50Speaker 2: forget these practice squad stuff. I'm going back to play.
- 15:53Speaker 2: I'm gonna go try to improve my style. That's the
- 15:56Speaker 2: other part, right, that's the other part.
- 15:57Speaker 7: Not only is it two three, maybe four times is
- 16:00Speaker 7: much as you would make as a as a practice player,
- 16:02Speaker 7: but now you could have an opportunity to show out
- 16:06Speaker 7: and and get and get drafted at a better position.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Let me ask you this. And we haven't even gotten
- 16:12Speaker 2: down the rabbit hole here, and I wonder if the NFL,
- 16:15Speaker 2: I'm sure they are can you draft a player twice? Huh? Maybe? Right?
- 16:21Speaker 2: Good question. If you got drafted, say in the seventh
- 16:23Speaker 2: round this year, and you're gonna get cut and you
- 16:26Speaker 2: come back to college, can you reinsert back into the draft.
- 16:30Speaker 7: So we I don't know that we've ever had that
- 16:31Speaker 7: happen right now. I mean I would think, you know,
- 16:37Speaker 7: especially a guy goes out and has a great year
- 16:40Speaker 7: in college.
- 16:40Speaker 2: I don't know. Can they would that all put open
- 16:42Speaker 2: the NFL up for lawsuits too? Like, wait a minute,
- 16:45Speaker 2: wait a minute, somebody says I want to go back
- 16:47Speaker 2: in the draft. I don't know it just I have
- 16:50Speaker 2: so many.
- 16:50Speaker 7: Questions right right, maybe maybe, Jake, I don't know where
- 16:55Speaker 7: to start. Yeah, it's it's wild, it's wild. But hey,
- 16:59Speaker 7: we got games coming up.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Obviously we're gonna see some players come back and be
- 17:02Speaker 2: a part of these games. Uh, the property looks great,
- 17:05Speaker 2: Everything looks good. Ballots was good. I had launched with
- 17:08Speaker 2: Derek and uh, we got to chat about everything going on. Man,
- 17:11Speaker 2: it's it's the calm before the storm right here.
- 17:13Speaker 7: Oh yeah, yeah, And you know right now we getting
- 17:15Speaker 7: a little baseball. You're going to see a pick up
- 17:17Speaker 7: here closer to you know, five five thirty. And we've
- 17:22Speaker 7: got a preseason. You know, we had we had a
- 17:24Speaker 7: lot of action on preseason last week. We'll have a
- 17:26Speaker 7: lot of action tonight tonight. I got one too, Jake, one,
- 17:31Speaker 7: I like tonight. Uh, let me pull it up. I
- 17:34Speaker 7: think I was right about my pick last week. Right,
- 17:39Speaker 7: let me pull it up here.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Let's see who did you take last week? Last week?
- 17:43Speaker 2: It was the Chargers. You did chake the Chargers last week,
- 17:46Speaker 2: and I like him again this week. Uh well, harbar.
- 17:51Speaker 7: You know he's petty, right, you know he wants to
- 17:55Speaker 7: win these And then also I read where the Niners
- 17:58Speaker 7: got a bunch of injuries. They're not really gonna be
- 18:01Speaker 7: starting everybody. So I'm on the Charges again. And oh
- 18:06Speaker 7: how did Mendoza? Huh yeah, oh man, he looked great.
- 18:10Speaker 7: But I gotta fade him tonight. I'm going with the
- 18:13Speaker 7: Texans tonight.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Got you? Yeah, Texans, Texans? You talking about to Let's see,
- 18:17Speaker 2: I'm in week one. Let's get to the preseason. I'm
- 18:19Speaker 2: on the wrong tab here. Yeah, Raiders in Houston. And
- 18:22Speaker 2: I did see a report earlier Mendoza's gonna play for
- 18:23Speaker 2: a half tonight. So you know they've got Kirk Cousins
- 18:27Speaker 2: and Mendoza. They're going back and forth over the quarterback issue.
- 18:30Speaker 2: They may have to start him, right, I mean, I
- 18:34Speaker 2: mean they may have to start him. I mean the
- 18:35Speaker 2: guy is looks to be very legit. But you know,
- 18:38Speaker 2: this is the last preseason week. I think that we'll
- 18:41Speaker 2: see a lot of the starters play because next week
- 18:45Speaker 2: they won't. You know, there's gonna be some minimal play
- 18:47Speaker 2: because we're getting down to you know, we're getting down
- 18:49Speaker 2: to the trim. Trim now, I mean we're trimming the fat.
- 18:51Speaker 2: We as in the league is trimming the fat down
- 18:53Speaker 2: to the fifty three man. So I mean we're getting
- 18:56Speaker 2: real close now. And and Kirk Cousins, I mean, what
- 19:00Speaker 2: I hold this Kurt, Oh gosh, he's got to be
- 19:02Speaker 2: I'm gonna guest thirty eight. But I'll look it up.
- 19:04Speaker 7: Yeah, he's he's up there, but he's God bless him. Right,
- 19:08Speaker 7: he's still out there. You gotta hold on the Cousins.
- 19:11Speaker 7: But I say you start Mendoza.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Uh no, I agree with you.
- 19:17Speaker 7: And and you know that's less wear and tear and
- 19:19Speaker 7: in ky if you if you if if you need
- 19:21Speaker 7: to bring Cousins in, you know he's not. It'll be
- 19:25Speaker 7: later in the season. He's not worn down, you know.
- 19:27Speaker 7: Cousins thirty eight. I just guess that. I mean, I
- 19:29Speaker 7: was like, he looks thirty eight. He's I know, I've
- 19:33Speaker 7: been watching him form teen years.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Now. Hey, I just got this text. I'm gonna ahead
- 19:37Speaker 2: just give John Bond credit form Mississippi State quarterback. Great.
- 19:40Speaker 2: And of course he's been on the air he says, Hey,
- 19:42Speaker 2: the NFL has the rights for three years unless they're cut.
- 19:45Speaker 2: And what happened with the what happened with the junior
- 19:49Speaker 2: college eligibility. It was at one point that it didn't
- 19:53Speaker 2: go towards your fourth year of school. Yeah, so there's
- 19:57Speaker 2: a lot of questions on these players coming back. You know,
- 20:01Speaker 2: I don't know if now you know it was five
- 20:04Speaker 2: years to play four, right, you could get a red
- 20:07Speaker 2: shirt in there. It could be your first year, it
- 20:09Speaker 2: could be your sophomore year, if you had an injury,
- 20:10Speaker 2: it could be your junior year, or even your senior year.
- 20:13Speaker 2: But now you got five to play five moving forward,
- 20:16Speaker 2: So I don't know. There's there's a lot of questions
- 20:19Speaker 2: from the NFL side to the you know, and and
- 20:22Speaker 2: again if so, do these teams cut it? Well, I
- 20:25Speaker 2: guess they would have to cut them, right.
- 20:26Speaker 7: So right, so so but then that doesn't that bring
- 20:29Speaker 7: the question back up again?
- 20:32Speaker 2: Yes? Right? Are they eligible? Right? So, they retained the
- 20:35Speaker 2: rights unless they cut them. Yeah, and if they cut
- 20:37Speaker 2: them then it's just but the quest my question is
- 20:40Speaker 2: can they go back into the draft. We've never seen
- 20:41Speaker 2: anything like that. Do we just have it all? Right?
- 20:44Speaker 2: We're gonna get into, uh with Keith, We're gonna get
- 20:47Speaker 2: into some of these national championship picks, some of these
- 20:49Speaker 2: win totals. It's time to really kind of sharpen the
- 20:52Speaker 2: the knife on, or sharpened the act, so to speak,
- 20:54Speaker 2: on these win totals. Mississippi State and Jeff Levy obviously,
- 20:58Speaker 2: uh you know Ole Miss and they make another playoff run.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Southern miss is getting a new naming rights to their
- 21:04Speaker 2: football stadium. I want to get into that too. So uh,
- 21:07Speaker 2: they're they're in some sort of a agreement on that.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Let me get you a note or two real quickly here.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Speaking of Indiana. Indiana quarterback transfer quarterback from TCU Man.
- 21:19Speaker 2: There's some cutups out here of him in practice at Indiana.
- 21:22Speaker 2: They're indoor practice facility. This is this is uh, you
- 21:25Speaker 2: know pad on pad He looks good and reports out
- 21:29Speaker 2: of Indiana. Just reading some of them, they think he
- 21:32Speaker 2: is on pace to give them what Mendoza did last year.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Oh nice.
- 21:37Speaker 7: Wow, So we've got them at ten and a half,
- 21:41Speaker 7: ten and a half even money for the over, minus
- 21:46Speaker 7: one twenty four for the under.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Indiana, Yeah, ten and a half, ten and a half. Wow.
- 21:51Speaker 2: That's there's a lot. Of course, if we were in
- 21:53Speaker 2: the state of Indiana, the over would be pure right
- 21:56Speaker 2: through the roof, right their schedule, it lends itself to
- 22:00Speaker 2: the over. But there's a couple pitfalls in there and
- 22:03Speaker 2: we'll we'll get to that with Keith Hardy. He'll hang
- 22:05Speaker 2: with us, He'll be here with us throughout the show.
- 22:07Speaker 2: We're brought to you by Clinton Body Shop six er

- 23:41Speaker 2: but you will need a reservation. Keith Hardy with us.
- 23:43Speaker 2: So we're sitting here looking at h Josh Hoover highlights
- 23:47Speaker 2: for practice in Indiana. Keith, I don't know that this
- 23:50Speaker 2: team's gonna go anywhere. I mean, I mean, the whole
- 23:54Speaker 2: football world is so upside now right now. Everything we
- 23:57Speaker 2: just talked about in the first segment about you know,
- 23:59Speaker 2: the players come back to Indiana is the king of
- 24:02Speaker 2: the castle in football. I mean, it's just it's it's
- 24:04Speaker 2: so wild. So let me get some of these other
- 24:06Speaker 2: notes in here real quickly and get your thoughts on
- 24:11Speaker 2: some of this Yeah, Chris Hummer with the CBS Sports
- 24:15Speaker 2: quote open the floodgates. More lawsuits are coming. Many questions
- 24:19Speaker 2: remain on everything going on. Yeah, Raiders number one overall picked,
- 24:23Speaker 2: Fernando Mendes is expected to play roughly a half tonight
- 24:26Speaker 2: versus the Texans before Aidan O'Connell replaces in the second half. Also,
- 24:32Speaker 2: you know we told you. Dekwon Wright, former Missed product
- 24:34Speaker 2: tight end with the Cleveland Browns, has officially entered the
- 24:37Speaker 2: NCAA transfer portal, which would tell me he's been cut right.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Played college football at Virginia Tech and at Ole Miss.
- 24:46Speaker 2: And let's see here. Also some other notes out here.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Former Seahawk and SMU running back TJ. Harden has entered
- 24:55Speaker 2: the transfer portal. So he is a former Seahawk SMU product.
- 25:00Speaker 2: He is in the transfer portal. Harden, who was a
- 25:03Speaker 2: part of this Louisiana lawsuit. He ran for a college
- 25:06Speaker 2: career of twenty four hundred and forty five yards, twenty
- 25:08Speaker 2: one touchdowns and stops at SMU and UCLA. Also huge
- 25:13Speaker 2: news coming out of Southern Miss. Southern Miss football and
- 25:16Speaker 2: Southern Miss baseball. Renaissance Bank has acquired the naming rights
- 25:19Speaker 2: to the stadium formerly known as MM Roberts Stadium, that's
- 25:22Speaker 2: the football stadium. The deal is a ten year deal
- 25:25Speaker 2: worth thirteen million, seven hundred and six thousand, eight hundred
- 25:28Speaker 2: and thirty eight dollars, also rendering some surface for a
- 25:31Speaker 2: proposed upgrade to Pete Taylor Park. So that's big news
- 25:35Speaker 2: for Southern Miss. And you know, some people may not
- 25:37Speaker 2: like the whole naming rights, then Keith, as far as
- 25:40Speaker 2: you know, hey, we're going to take MM Roberts Stadium,
- 25:42Speaker 2: which is forever, as long as I've been alive, I've
- 25:44Speaker 2: been the name of Southern missis Stadium. Now it's going
- 25:46Speaker 2: to be Renaissance Bank Stadium. But that's where we are
- 25:52Speaker 2: with private equity, and yeah, I mean, look, it's survival
- 25:56Speaker 2: for a lot of a lot of schools. And you
- 25:57Speaker 2: take a school like Southern Miss that's not in the
- 25:59Speaker 2: Southeast Conference, they're not in the Big Ten, They're never
- 26:02Speaker 2: gonna be in either one. The Big twelve has been
- 26:05Speaker 2: extremely innovative on how they've been able to churn money
- 26:09Speaker 2: with naming rights and jersey patches and all this stuff.
- 26:11Speaker 2: So you know, proaps to South mister finding a way
- 26:14Speaker 2: to you know, make some money here, and we're talking
- 26:16Speaker 2: about a team who's over under three and a half
- 26:19Speaker 2: three and a half or southerns Wow.
- 26:22Speaker 7: Right, so he get it where you can. But I'm
- 26:26Speaker 7: not a big fan of the name changing. You know,
- 26:29Speaker 7: I can't keep up anymore, you know, I just I
- 26:33Speaker 7: can't keep up. I kind of let it go, you know,
- 26:37Speaker 7: whatever they're calling it this year.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Ah, No, I'm with you. I mean, it's very, very
- 26:42Speaker 2: hard to make it up. Hey, how about this NFL markets?
- 26:46Speaker 2: This is courtesy of front Off of Sports. NFL markets
- 26:48Speaker 2: that spend the most on merchandise per Nielsen and Scarborough
- 26:52Speaker 2: NFL Fandom Index. So going into the season, who do
- 26:56Speaker 2: you think who do you think is at the top
- 26:58Speaker 2: of NFL merch dice sales? Team Wise, Giants, Cowboys not
- 27:06Speaker 2: on the list? Wow? NFL markets that buy the most, Oh,
- 27:12Speaker 2: not sell the most, that's right, NFL markets that buy
- 27:14Speaker 2: the most merchandise.
- 27:15Speaker 7: Okay, Okay, So a market meaning New York or Los Angeles. Yeah, hm,
- 27:23Speaker 7: And so I guess it's not like a New York
- 27:26Speaker 7: or Los Angeles.
- 27:27Speaker 2: No, it's Kansas City.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Wow.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Yeah, the Kansas Kansas City market, followed by Buffalo and
- 27:33Speaker 2: then Philadelphia.
- 27:34Speaker 7: Well, no, not to cut you off, Jake, but right,
- 27:38Speaker 7: I guess it makes sense because football is king there
- 27:41Speaker 7: there's no base well there's the Royals.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no basketball. Now, I'm sure the Cowboys merchandise
- 27:48Speaker 2: is at the top of sales. But you know how
- 27:50Speaker 2: many people in the doubt you know Dallas has such
- 27:52Speaker 2: a is it fair to say? And I know there's
- 27:54Speaker 2: NFL fans everywhere of every team. I mean, you know
- 27:57Speaker 2: you probably get a you probably had a repers of
- 28:00Speaker 2: at least one person of all thirty two teams in
- 28:02Speaker 2: there through a season. But Dallas is still the brand.
- 28:08Speaker 2: And I hate to say this, it's still Notre d Amish, right, Yankesh,
- 28:14Speaker 2: Los Angeles, Lakrish. Right, It's all over the place. So
- 28:19Speaker 2: you got people buying from all over. But the Kansas
- 28:21Speaker 2: City market buys more merchandise than any other NFL market,
- 28:26Speaker 2: followed by Buffalo, Philadelphia, Green Bay slash Appleton.
- 28:29Speaker 7: Yeah, and I was gonna say Green Bay because when
- 28:31Speaker 7: you said Kansas City and Buffalo, I started thinking Green.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Bay, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Baltimore. You know what blue collar places? Yeah,
- 28:43Speaker 2: you know it is New Orleans and Jacksonville. Wow. So
- 28:50Speaker 2: when you think about that, you know, because Duvall and
- 28:52Speaker 2: that whole deal there. Yeah, it makes sense. I just
- 28:54Speaker 2: thought that was kind of interesting when you're talking about
- 28:57Speaker 2: markets and what they buy. Also, we'll get into this
- 29:00Speaker 2: little later on. The NFL is not happy about Nielsen's
- 29:02Speaker 2: changing of methodology for the upcoming twenty six twenty seven
- 29:05Speaker 2: TV season television season. The league told front Off of
- 29:08Speaker 2: Sports the changes quote take effect August thirty first, are
- 29:12Speaker 2: overly rushed. I have not looked at this. I like
- 29:14Speaker 2: to always look at this stuff together. But Nielsen making
- 29:16Speaker 2: some changes, which I'm sure that's going to depict how
- 29:19Speaker 2: Nielsen which hold you know that is the ranking product
- 29:22Speaker 2: for TV and radio. It has been for one hundred
- 29:24Speaker 2: years or almost one hundred years. I'm assuming they have
- 29:28Speaker 2: changed something in the way they are doing this that
- 29:30Speaker 2: the NFL does not like. Because if the ratings, even
- 29:35Speaker 2: though they tweak the numbers, and the numbers drop, well,
- 29:38Speaker 2: that could affect AD revenue, right, It con affect absolute
- 29:41Speaker 2: AD revenue. So that's probably why the NFL doesn't like it.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Also check this out, Scottie Scheffler, Little golf here could
- 29:49Speaker 2: move past Tiger Woods on the all time PGA Tour
- 29:51Speaker 2: earnings list this week at the BMW Championship Tiger Woods
- 29:56Speaker 2: all time earnings number one in professional golf one hundred
- 29:59Speaker 2: and twenty million plus. Scheffler is at one nineteen nine
- 30:04Speaker 2: sixty four four eleven, and then Roy McElroy won sixteen
- 30:08Speaker 2: four eighty eight. Well the purses have gone up, of course,
- 30:12Speaker 2: you know.
- 30:12Speaker 7: Yeah, I wonder where he is as far as wins, right,
- 30:16Speaker 7: you know what I mean?
- 30:16Speaker 2: How far behind Tiger he is there? Yeah?
- 30:18Speaker 7: But yeah, I want to say, uh, Scotty had a
- 30:22Speaker 7: great outing last week, but I want to say Scotty
- 30:24Speaker 7: was like plus three.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Early on, so he may not pass him this week.
- 30:29Speaker 2: He may not make the cut.
- 30:30Speaker 7: Right, let me see, Scotty Scheffler where you at?
- 30:37Speaker 2: Check that out? And also, modern offense is stuck in
- 30:39Speaker 2: a archaic times. Hey, here's the last time your team,
- 30:43Speaker 2: a couple teams in the Power four had a top
- 30:46Speaker 2: ten ranked scoring offense. What you got on sheeffer? Where's
- 30:48Speaker 2: he had? Plus three through nine? Plus three? Okay? Plus
- 30:51Speaker 2: three two nine? So and we're on day one, yeah,
- 30:53Speaker 2: of that tournament. Yeah, the leader is the leader is
- 30:56Speaker 2: minus six on the day, Okay, so he's got some
- 30:59Speaker 2: ground man, he's.
- 30:59Speaker 7: Got some If I look his odds up, I bet
- 31:02Speaker 7: he's still in the top three.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Of course, yes, So when's the last time of your
- 31:05Speaker 2: team team had a top ten scoring offense in the country,
- 31:08Speaker 2: Ole miss just last year twenty twenty five, Tennessee last
- 31:12Speaker 2: year Texas Tech believe it or not, last year, Mississippi
- 31:17Speaker 2: State nineteen forty. So it's been quite a while. That
- 31:21Speaker 2: can't be right. That can't be right, nineteen forty. I'm
- 31:25Speaker 2: going off this list here that somebody shared. LSU twenty
- 31:28Speaker 2: twenty three. The last time, of course, twenty nineteen. They
- 31:31Speaker 2: rolled the roost. Virginia nineteen ninety, Boston College nineteen eighty four.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Shout out Doug Flutie, by the way. Also, let's see
- 31:40Speaker 2: I'm looking at some of these others. Penn State twenty seventeen,
- 31:45Speaker 2: Auburn twenty ten. You gotta go all the way back
- 31:47Speaker 2: to the Cam Newton ear. I mean, you gotta go
- 31:49Speaker 2: back to the Camwton Newton hear for Auburn the last
- 31:52Speaker 2: time they had a top ten scoring offense, Which is
- 31:54Speaker 2: crazy to think, you know, because Gus Malsan had some
- 31:56Speaker 2: really good offenses in there. Obviously, he was a big
- 31:59Speaker 2: part of what Cam Newton did as the offensive coordinator.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Gene Chiswick was the head coach and then he took
- 32:04Speaker 2: that job and had had some really good offenses two
- 32:07Speaker 2: thousand and nine for Arkansas. I believe we're going back
- 32:09Speaker 2: to Bobby Petrino when he was at Arkansas. Georgia twenty
- 32:13Speaker 2: twenty three, Alabama twenty twenty two, Kentucky nineteen ninety eight.
- 32:18Speaker 2: That's Tim Couch. Oh, Tim, yeah, you are, you're walking encyclopedia.
- 32:23Speaker 2: I just, you know, I just remember some of the
- 32:25Speaker 2: which is crazy because I can't remember something you told
- 32:27Speaker 2: me thirty minutes. I'm with you, Tim Couch. Uh, he's
- 32:31Speaker 2: up there with JaMarcus Russell in the oh absolutely, yeah, yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 2: just fla well. And also he's a part of that
- 32:38Speaker 2: uh that quarterback Hall, that that quarterback Hall of Fame
- 32:42Speaker 2: wall for the Cleveland Browns, you know, and I'm calling
- 32:45Speaker 2: it hall of Fame wall, but it's Hall of Shame wall, yeah,
- 32:48Speaker 2: for the Cleveland Browns. Hey, we are brought to you

- 34:07Speaker 2: working through that beatbuilder, their Keith. You must have found
- 34:09Speaker 2: a gym or two how well?
- 34:11Speaker 7: No, uh, well, tonight, Like I already said, I'm I'm
- 34:14Speaker 7: big on the Chargers tonight, and I'm leaning towards the Texans,
- 34:19Speaker 7: uh and probably both unders. But I'm not going way
- 34:23Speaker 7: out on a limb on those just just pulling up
- 34:26Speaker 7: the futures and uh, you know, looking at uh looking
- 34:29Speaker 7: at these team totals.
- 34:31Speaker 2: So have you do you have a national championship pick
- 34:33Speaker 2: yet for college football? Jake?
- 34:37Speaker 7: Ah, all right, if I had to go, We're gonna
- 34:42Speaker 7: look for value now somebody that's gonna be ten to
- 34:45Speaker 7: one or greater. Yeah, okay, Uh, ten to one are greater.
- 34:52Speaker 7: So oh wait about how about Penn State at seventy
- 34:55Speaker 7: five to one.
- 34:56Speaker 2: They've been in the news lately. Oh they have for
- 34:58Speaker 2: all the wrong reasons, right, for all the right but
- 35:01Speaker 2: you know, are they seventy five to one? Yeah, but
- 35:04Speaker 2: they're not gonna be bad seventy five to one. I
- 35:08Speaker 2: don't know that I would put them on my value
- 35:10Speaker 2: picked on.
- 35:10Speaker 7: No, But you know what, Jake, you know what we
- 35:13Speaker 7: do have to make the playoffs. I kind of like
- 35:18Speaker 7: that one. Now, those don't pay great odds, right right,
- 35:22Speaker 7: you know, Notre Dame minus one thousand, Ohio State minus
- 35:27Speaker 7: three hundred, you know, but Ole Miss plus two hundred.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Getting two to one. Yeah, Ole Miss make the college playoff. Yeah,
- 35:37Speaker 2: they can make the college playoff? You know, will they have?
- 35:39Speaker 2: If you look at projections across the country. It's fifty
- 35:44Speaker 2: to fifty split. Half of them probably say they will,
- 35:46Speaker 2: half of them probably say they won't. You know, usc
- 35:50Speaker 2: A plus two fifty looking at the same sheets you're
- 35:52Speaker 2: looking at. You know, b yu, it plus three fifty
- 35:56Speaker 2: may be a good, big value because if they win
- 35:58Speaker 2: the Big twelve and the coaches and the Big twelve
- 36:00Speaker 2: picked them in the preseason, then that would be your play.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Florida Florida one. I'm not you know, look, there's a
- 36:09Speaker 2: lot of people that's high in Florida to be a
- 36:11Speaker 2: quote dark horse. I think it's a good value, but
- 36:14Speaker 2: I mean, Florida's got dudes. It's just can they pull
- 36:16Speaker 2: it all together? You know, if you want a Boise
- 36:19Speaker 2: State as that group of five team a group of
- 36:20Speaker 2: six at plus four fifty, how about Clemson at seven
- 36:24Speaker 2: to one. Woo, Yeah, I guess for a value pay
- 36:28Speaker 2: if you think, you know there's a resurgence there that's
- 36:30Speaker 2: to make the college football playoff. Memphis Tigers at eleven
- 36:34Speaker 2: to one, out of the group out of the G
- 36:36Speaker 2: six two lane at twelve to one. Let's see here,
- 36:42Speaker 2: I'm just looking through a couple more of these. I'm
- 36:45Speaker 2: gonna tell you the flyer I would take. And it
- 36:48Speaker 2: was a two win team last year, and they got
- 36:51Speaker 2: nineteen to one odds to to get to the College
- 36:53Speaker 2: Football Playoff. And I'm not picking them to win this conference.
- 36:58Speaker 2: But Oklahoma State brought in North Texas's staff, and that
- 37:05Speaker 2: is a staff that is by all accounts, very very good.
- 37:08Speaker 2: If you look at what they did at North Texas
- 37:10Speaker 2: last year, they brought a lot of players over quarterback
- 37:13Speaker 2: that is really good. A lot of people feel like
- 37:16Speaker 2: they may be a dark horse to flip like, and
- 37:19Speaker 2: you know, everybody looks for the next Jordan, the next
- 37:21Speaker 2: Kobe all that, who's the next Indiana. A lot of
- 37:23Speaker 2: people said, maybe Oklahoma State nineteen to one to make
- 37:27Speaker 2: the College Football Playoff. Maybe look at the Oklahoma State
- 37:31Speaker 2: Cowboys out of the Big twelve. Huh.
- 37:34Speaker 7: And you know what, Jake, when you said good quarterback,
- 37:37Speaker 7: I had to think about Texas well.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Of course, yeah, I mean I have Texas win in
- 37:42Speaker 2: the National Championship. Oh but now, like somebody told me
- 37:45Speaker 2: the other day, it's like, oh, why don't you just
- 37:46Speaker 2: go out on a limb there with that one? They
- 37:48Speaker 2: still haven't done it right, and they had you know,
- 37:50Speaker 2: but I like this Texas team. I believe in Arch Manning,
- 37:55Speaker 2: I believe in what Steve Sarkisian's doing. But again I
- 37:58Speaker 2: wouldn't be surprised if they didn't win it either. And
- 38:00Speaker 2: so what do we we have them at seven to
- 38:02Speaker 2: one to make the No, I think there's to win
- 38:04Speaker 2: it all.
- 38:05Speaker 7: That's to win it all. Yeah, yeah, seven to one
- 38:06Speaker 7: to win it all. To make the playoff, you probably
- 38:09Speaker 7: gotta lay money. I was, how about Arts to win
- 38:14Speaker 7: the Heisman. Let's see, is he is he the leader
- 38:17Speaker 7: in the clubhouse?
- 38:17Speaker 1: No?
- 38:18Speaker 2: CJ Carr? Okay, And that's that's I mean, that's fair.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Arch is eight to one to win the Heisman. But
- 38:26Speaker 2: remind people, you cannot parlay right future picks.
- 38:29Speaker 7: Right now, certain ones you can't like for. And let's
- 38:33Speaker 7: say but that one I know you can't. Let's say
- 38:36Speaker 7: I want Texas to win it all and Arch to
- 38:39Speaker 7: win the Heisman, and Jake it's not letting me do it.
- 38:44Speaker 2: No, that's there you go. So look at some of
- 38:46Speaker 2: these conference skate of conference odds here like prinstance, in
- 38:49Speaker 2: the Big Ten, the Big Ten is really close to
- 38:52Speaker 2: the first three. Ohio State plus one eighty to win
- 38:54Speaker 2: at Indiana plus two sixty, Oregon plus two seventy five.
- 38:57Speaker 2: The next closest team is USC at four team and one. Yeah,
- 39:01Speaker 2: that's where Vegas has this thing out so that they
- 39:03Speaker 2: I coin this a three headed race of swords. If
- 39:07Speaker 2: you go to the Big twelve, it's Texas Tech minus
- 39:09Speaker 2: one twenty one b YU at six to one. Then
- 39:13Speaker 2: you taw at eight and a half to one. If
- 39:15Speaker 2: you wanted to take a flyer on those Oklahoma State
- 39:18Speaker 2: Cowboys I was talking about, you can get them at
- 39:21Speaker 2: thirty to one to win that conference. If you continue
- 39:25Speaker 2: to look down through here, it's hard to believe the
- 39:28Speaker 2: PAC twelve is back. But this is such a diluted
- 39:32Speaker 2: version of the PAC twelve. Boise State plus one fifty,
- 39:34Speaker 2: San Diego State four to one, in Fresno State five
- 39:37Speaker 2: and a half to one, with Texas State six to one.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Southeastern Conference Georgia plus two seventy five Texas three to one,
- 39:43Speaker 2: and then Alabama and Texas A and M next two
- 39:46Speaker 2: teams up at eight and a half to one to
- 39:48Speaker 2: win the SEC. You can come out here and get
- 39:51Speaker 2: Old miss at ten to one to win the SEC.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Bret Vnables at Oklahoma just signed a new contract today.
- 39:56Speaker 2: We got to get into that. He's a ten million
- 39:58Speaker 2: dollar man coach. I don't know why they locked him up.
- 40:01Speaker 2: You know, we've had two teams in the SEC, excuse me,
- 40:04Speaker 2: in the off season that if things go wrong, we'll
- 40:07Speaker 2: want to get rid of their coach. One is at
- 40:09Speaker 2: Alabama with Kaitlyn de Bor and then Brent Vnables at Oklahoma.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Both got new contracts now this year in the off season.
- 40:14Speaker 2: But anyway, you can get Oklahoma at twelve to one,
- 40:17Speaker 2: Florida at twenty to one. If you're a believer in
- 40:21Speaker 2: Missisippi State, Arkansas, you can get him at two hundred
- 40:23Speaker 2: and one to win the SEC. And let's see here
- 40:29Speaker 2: Conference USA Liberty plus two sixty, the Mid American Conference,
- 40:33Speaker 2: Miami of Ohio. You know that MAC is always you
- 40:37Speaker 2: just I mean, look at this, Miami of Ohio plus
- 40:40Speaker 2: three fifty, Western Michigan plus three fifty, Toledo four to one.
- 40:44Speaker 2: And uh, let's see also the Mountain West New Mexico
- 40:47Speaker 2: at plus two twenty UNLV plus two forty. So there's
- 40:51Speaker 2: your kind of your conference races out there.
- 40:53Speaker 7: And I wanted since you brought up Okay State, the
- 40:56Speaker 7: over under is at six and a half and that's
- 40:59Speaker 7: plus one eighteen and.
- 41:00Speaker 2: That feels like, uh, it feels like something that you
- 41:03Speaker 2: would you know, you'd crush the over.
- 41:05Speaker 7: All that right, I mean, you know the way the
- 41:09Speaker 7: way you like them, Jake, you know, yeah, giar me tell.
- 41:12Speaker 2: You the slam dunk. This is the easiest win of
- 41:14Speaker 2: the year. What do you got easy? I'm telling you
- 41:16Speaker 2: this is the easiest win of the year in week zero,
- 41:20Speaker 2: next week, next week, not this week. TCU is favored
- 41:24Speaker 2: by eight over North Carolina. And whether they're playing Dublin,
- 41:29Speaker 2: you take TCU and you crush that eight. They are
- 41:32Speaker 2: going to destroy North Carolina TCU. Okay, that is that
- 41:37Speaker 2: is you won't find an easier slam dunk than that
- 41:39Speaker 2: one right there next weekend?
- 41:41Speaker 7: Well all right, Jake, I like it. I'm gonna put
- 41:44Speaker 7: it on my card. And I got another one. I
- 41:47Speaker 7: got one for you. I told you this one a
- 41:49Speaker 7: couple of weeks ago. Uh Rutgers minus thirty and a half.
- 41:55Speaker 2: That's such a big lot, but some teams do cover it, right,
- 41:59Speaker 2: I got I got a big line for you.
- 42:00Speaker 7: How about Missouri playing Arkansas Pine Bluff Missouri minus fifty.
- 42:05Speaker 2: One fifty one and you know, somebody will take the
- 42:07Speaker 2: somebody will take them with that, they'll give them fifty one.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but you know, I can remember. It's been
- 42:13Speaker 2: several years ago, and I can't remember who I took.
- 42:16Speaker 2: I was sitting in this in this room in here,
- 42:18Speaker 2: came over. We did a Saturday show when we deal
- 42:21Speaker 2: them on Saturdays here, and I took the points of somebody.
- 42:25Speaker 2: I think they were playing Oklahoma or USC or somebody.
- 42:27Speaker 2: It was like thirty eight or forty Keith. By the
- 42:30Speaker 2: middle of the second quarter, they had come back, and like,
- 42:35Speaker 2: I picked the underdog and took the points. By the
- 42:37Speaker 2: middle of the second quarter, I had lost. I'm like,
- 42:39Speaker 2: what did Like it was just the team that was
- 42:43Speaker 2: favored was up and down fielding up, and it was
- 42:45Speaker 2: just like, you gotta be kidding.
- 42:46Speaker 7: Me, because you gotta think, well to win by seven touchdowns,
- 42:49Speaker 7: maybe you gotta square every possession. Yeah, right, you have
- 42:52Speaker 7: one punt and now you're you're winning by sixty seven, right,
- 42:56Speaker 7: And look, fifty one is the biggest one I've seen.
- 42:59Speaker 7: But uh, oh Io State's playing ball State. Wio State's minus.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Fifty, minus fifty, you know, and you gotta look, I
- 43:05Speaker 2: think it's It's important to look back at some of
- 43:07Speaker 2: the coaching characteristics of these coaches, like does you know
- 43:11Speaker 2: Nick Saban was always one he wouldn't hit the over
- 43:14Speaker 2: a whole lot. He would always take the foot off
- 43:16Speaker 2: the gas, put the other guys in the end, you know.
- 43:19Speaker 2: But some coaches like Steve Spurrier was going to hit
- 43:21Speaker 2: the gas. He didn't care. He was just throwing touchdowns.
- 43:24Speaker 7: Well, you know, I think a nice value on some
- 43:27Speaker 7: of these high spreads would be first half.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Bets, no doubt about it. Keith Hardy wather us. We're
- 43:32Speaker 2: to a Maristar today, getting you ready for football season.
- 43:34Speaker 2: You can get out here to Meyristar and play around.
- 43:37Speaker 2: We have hit the end of our number one. We're
- 43:38Speaker 2: brought to you by Ranco Transmission fourteen sixty Old Brandon
- 43:41Speaker 2: Road in Floywood six or one nine three nine nine

- 43:46Speaker 2: bill bender coming up here top of the hour. Keith
- 43:48Speaker 2: Hardy will be back with us back in a bit
