- 0:05Speaker 1: Hey, what's up.
- 0:06Speaker 2: I'm Ben and I'm Nicole and you're listening to Wicked and.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Grim, potentially the world's only true crime podcast recorded in
- 0:16Speaker 1: a tiny home. Good Morning. The following podcast contains intent
- 0:23Speaker 1: and material intended before a mature audience. Listener Discretion advised. Welcome, Hello,
- 0:48Speaker 1: what's up?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Ah? You hear that bear?
- 0:51Speaker 1: I got beer in my hand?
- 0:52Speaker 2: Beer bear wiping on your bean bag?
- 0:54Speaker 1: No, that's my chill bean bag.
- 0:58Speaker 2: We are officially living in our tiny home.
- 1:02Speaker 1: We are recording in our loft studio, which I mean,
- 1:05Speaker 1: it's really janky right now. We got stuff everywhere. We
- 1:07Speaker 1: got to make this work, but we're recording in here
- 1:09Speaker 1: for now, and we're living full time in a tiny home.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Well as officially today, really officially today. So it's not
- 1:17Speaker 2: the world's best setup. And we have shit literally everywhere,
- 1:20Speaker 2: but literally everyone literally. But in a week ask us
- 1:24Speaker 2: again and we'll be sit and comfy. I think, I hope.
- 1:27Speaker 1: So yeah, I hope, so I really do. But we'll
- 1:30Speaker 1: find out in time. But until then, we just got
- 1:33Speaker 1: to got to do the work, put around the tiny home,
- 1:35Speaker 1: do our thing and find out what we'll and won't
- 1:38Speaker 1: work for us.
- 1:39Speaker 2: But it feels so cozy and so chill and and
- 1:42Speaker 2: so home. Yeah. Well instantly we're just calling it like home.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Even when we're in our other one, we're like, we
- 1:48Speaker 2: want to go home.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly what it was. I want to go home. Yeah,
- 1:53Speaker 1: I feel that I got to take a sip in
- 1:55Speaker 1: my beer.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's kind of a situation.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Hey, in a bean bag chaired, laying down with the
- 2:01Speaker 1: microphone in my face.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, you're like halfling down, half sitting.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, i'd say that.
- 2:08Speaker 2: But it's very cool, and we're very tired.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Very NonStop. I tweaked my back so that hurts. Yeah,
- 2:16Speaker 1: it's just NonStop work. And yeah, it's brutal.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I think. I don't know. You always think that you're
- 2:22Speaker 2: more organized than you actually are.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Yeah. My mum was saying, like, if you have a
- 2:28Speaker 1: task or something that you're doing and you expect it
- 2:31Speaker 1: to take X amount of time, add like three times
- 2:35Speaker 1: to that.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, because I definitely thought we were more ready and
- 2:38Speaker 2: more organized, and then it was just a complete shit
- 2:41Speaker 2: show in the end.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Nope, not happening.
- 2:45Speaker 2: But we did it.
- 2:46Speaker 1: We did it, and we're here and now we're podcasting,
- 2:49Speaker 1: and we changed things up super last minute on what
- 2:53Speaker 1: episode we're doing today?
- 2:54Speaker 2: Did because I did kind of a little hint or
- 2:57Speaker 2: not a hint. What was it. It was just a
- 3:00Speaker 2: saying that we were doing a.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Texas for the next episode.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, a Texas case. But we're doing a curveball here.
- 3:08Speaker 1: We are because there is a case that is taking
- 3:11Speaker 1: the world by storm right now, it really is, and
- 3:14Speaker 1: that is the case of Gabby Patito. So we're going
- 3:17Speaker 1: to talk about her and what we know of her
- 3:18Speaker 1: case today. And we had some people message us being
- 3:22Speaker 1: like you should totally cover this case. We already knew
- 3:25Speaker 1: about it, so thank you guys for messaging us, and
- 3:27Speaker 1: we were like, you know what, these guys are asking
- 3:29Speaker 1: for it, let's do it.
- 3:30Speaker 2: So yeah, I've actually been really following it because it's
- 3:34Speaker 2: on I don't know, it's on all the news stations. Really,
- 3:39Speaker 2: like it's hard to miss this case. It's quite prominent
- 3:42Speaker 2: in all the news.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Oh definitely, and like.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Crazy and it's wild. Sorry really, oh it is.
- 3:47Speaker 1: So if you're in the true crime world, you probably
- 3:49Speaker 1: know this already, and if you're listening to this podcast,
- 3:51Speaker 1: you're probably in the true crime world, because let's admit it,
- 3:55Speaker 1: everyone who's in the true crime world listens to Wicked
- 3:58Speaker 1: and Grim. Oh my gosh, boats mcgoats yoats. So you
- 4:04Speaker 1: ready to get down to Gabby Patito.
- 4:06Speaker 2: I am yeah. I know a little bit of the story,
- 4:08Speaker 2: but you do real deep. So let's do it.
- 4:11Speaker 1: So, to start off those who don't know Gabby Patito's case,
- 4:14Speaker 1: it is an ongoing case. It is currently unsolved, it
- 4:17Speaker 1: is currently under investigation.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It's very fresh.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Some major stuff came out, like literally this weekend. So
- 4:28Speaker 1: we're going to go and cover what the base is
- 4:30Speaker 1: so far, and maybe we'll do a part two down
- 4:33Speaker 1: the road in a few months when things resolve itself. Yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 1: so yeah, you ready.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I am, okay, very ready, let's do this.
- 4:44Speaker 1: So. Gabby Patito is a twenty two year old woman
- 4:46Speaker 1: who was born on March nineteenth, nineteen ninety nine, in
- 4:50Speaker 1: Blue Point in Suffolk County, New York. I think it's
- 4:54Speaker 1: how you say that.
- 4:55Speaker 2: That's really young. Hey it is twenty two. That's like a.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Baby, right, an any bitty little little adult just getting
- 5:02Speaker 1: into child or out of the childhood, into the free world.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Just finding yourself.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Yeah, totally so well.
- 5:10Speaker 1: She attended the Bayport Blue Point High School where she
- 5:14Speaker 1: graduated and became or began to take some college courses.
- 5:18Speaker 1: She actually became a nutritionist.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Oh really, she did good for her.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Yeah, she did leave that behind though. We'll get into
- 5:26Speaker 1: what she left it behind for though. Okay, So, like
- 5:31Speaker 1: I said, though, in truth, she was only really just
- 5:33Speaker 1: discovering the world, being twenty two years old, just kind
- 5:35Speaker 1: of out of school really, so she's basically just getting
- 5:41Speaker 1: her first taste of life. She has a world of
- 5:43Speaker 1: life ahead of her and she's just discovering it. She
- 5:46Speaker 1: really seemed to understand this though. She kind of had
- 5:48Speaker 1: the perspective that she is just going out into life,
- 5:52Speaker 1: and she had a passion for life. She loved social media.
- 5:55Speaker 1: She loves sharing her life and adventures travels with anyone
- 5:58Speaker 1: who'd watch or listens it or sit down and even
- 6:02Speaker 1: indulge in the slightest of stories. Okay, she loved sharing
- 6:06Speaker 1: on social media.
- 6:08Speaker 2: It is I mean a lot.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely, we can definitely understand that perspective. We're doing
- 6:14Speaker 1: the same sort of thing. So good on you, Gabby.
- 6:18Speaker 1: We totally gets Yeah. Oh I just hit a light
- 6:22Speaker 1: behind him. I forgot that was there. Not bad. Got
- 6:27Speaker 1: to learn my surroundings we will, we will in time,
- 6:29Speaker 1: in time, though clearly a Gabby didn't really I totally
- 6:36Speaker 1: messed that sentence up. Hold on, I got a back up. Okay,
- 6:40Speaker 1: So clearly I don't really personally know Gabby. That's what
- 6:44Speaker 1: I was trying to say. I wrote it really weird,
- 6:46Speaker 1: So I personally don't really know her or at all.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I just read about her. But it's very easy to find,
- 6:52Speaker 1: like reading about her, that she's got quite this like
- 6:54Speaker 1: bohemian soul. Okay, she feels free most when she's like
- 6:59Speaker 1: just doing her thing, being outside traveling. We've already discussed that.
- 7:03Speaker 1: We can't get that. So yeah, yeah, So that's that's
- 7:07Speaker 1: Gabby in a nutshell right there. Now, Gabby has been
- 7:11Speaker 1: dating someone since March of twenty nineteen, and the two
- 7:16Speaker 1: of them got engaged in twenty twenty. The lucky dude
- 7:20Speaker 1: who is to take the hand of Gabby in marriage
- 7:23Speaker 1: was someone by the name of Brian Lawdry.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Okay, so they've been engaged like a year, yes, Okay.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Now, there was a report by Gabby's mom saying that
- 7:35Speaker 1: they broke off the engagement because they felt they were
- 7:37Speaker 1: too young for it. Okay, but I mean that we
- 7:42Speaker 1: don't know that. There's nothing official saying that.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Yeah, because there was like some reports seemed like it
- 7:46Speaker 2: said they were engaged in some they didn't and stuff.
- 7:49Speaker 1: So yeah, but so they may still be engaged.
- 7:52Speaker 2: They may not, but still they did at one point
- 7:55Speaker 2: in time, so that's still a big deal.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely, the engagement happened, the proposal, the whole thing. Yeah,
- 8:00Speaker 1: she may have even been wearing the ring still, whether
- 8:02Speaker 1: it was an engagement maybe just turned into a promised
- 8:06Speaker 1: ring sort of situation, I don't know. Brian was born
- 8:10Speaker 1: on July third, nineteen eighty four, making him thirty seven
- 8:15Speaker 1: years old.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Holy okay, I didn't realize there was that much of
- 8:18Speaker 2: an age difference there.
- 8:20Speaker 1: He was fifteen years older than Gabby.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Oh my work, Hey what year was he born?
- 8:26Speaker 1: Eighty four?
- 8:28Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, so he's even like older than us.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he's got four years on us.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Oh wow, Okay, I had no idea about that.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Yeah, well, surprise, motherfucker. Whoa Yeah, now, you know. So
- 8:39Speaker 1: he's definitely doing a little bit of a cradle robin there.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I personally think that's a bit of a gap.
- 8:45Speaker 2: That's quite a gap.
- 8:46Speaker 1: But they are both adults, so.
- 8:48Speaker 2: If they have similar interests.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not going to knock its. He just
- 8:54Speaker 1: ain't for me, you know.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that's quite the age gap, definitely. I mean, okay,
- 8:58Speaker 2: at that age it's not tear really. But then I
- 9:01Speaker 2: always just think about, like what if someone's, say seventy,
- 9:06Speaker 2: and then the other person's only like fifty five or
- 9:08Speaker 2: something like. That's like a huge That just it makes
- 9:11Speaker 2: it seems even more because one person's almost like you're
- 9:16Speaker 2: getting to the where your health might not be good,
- 9:18Speaker 2: and the other person's like just hitting retirement and like
- 9:20Speaker 2: wanting to travel and all that jazz. You know.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's true at.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Different stages of life. I think it would be a
- 9:26Speaker 2: lot more evident, is what I'm trying to say.
- 9:28Speaker 1: But also in that sense that's at that stage difference
- 9:31Speaker 1: at would you say sixty five and seventy.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Something like that, fifty five and seventy fifty five.
- 9:35Speaker 1: And seventy Wait does that math add up? I can't
- 9:38Speaker 1: math right now?
- 9:39Speaker 2: That's fifteen years, right, I don't know it is.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, I'm tired. Okay, I'm like really tired. I can't.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I can't math now that probably won't be able to
- 9:49Speaker 1: math tomorrow even after I sleep. But like, okay, yeah,
- 9:53Speaker 1: someone's just retiring and the other person is like, Okay,
- 9:56Speaker 1: they're not looking at being able to travel a whole lot.
- 10:00Speaker 1: But you both have a lot more years under your belt,
- 10:04Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Yeah, I gets you're the
- 10:06Speaker 1: age difference is a percentile smaller in your total of life,
- 10:11Speaker 1: whereas like the age difference in them is like one
- 10:16Speaker 1: third of Gabby's entire life more.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, we'll think about it. When she was
- 10:21Speaker 2: like ten, yeah, he would be like.
- 10:23Speaker 1: What twenty five, Yeah, that's kind of fucked.
- 10:26Speaker 2: So there's just like different stage. Like I feel like
- 10:28Speaker 2: twenty two and thirty seven isn't like the worst ever.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Yeah. But either way, like like like you said, Gap,
- 10:34Speaker 1: they're adults. They can do what they want.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:36Speaker 1: So the couple moved to Northport, Florida, where they then
- 10:41Speaker 1: shared their engagement with the world on Gabby's Instagram, which
- 10:45Speaker 1: is Gab's Potito. She wrote, Brian asked me to marry him,
- 10:49Speaker 1: and I said yes, you make me or sorry, you
- 10:53Speaker 1: make life feel unreal and every day is such a
- 10:55Speaker 1: dream with you.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Oh that's really nice actually.
- 10:59Speaker 1: And then he wrote my biggest fear is that one
- 11:01Speaker 1: day I'll wake up and I will have it will
- 11:04Speaker 1: all have been a dream, because it is what every
- 11:06Speaker 1: second has felt like since the moment we found each other.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Till death do us part or until I wake up,
- 11:12Speaker 1: I'm so happy. The answer was yes, love you, honey.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Oh my word. Uh yeah, that's really nice.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Yeah, although there is one little I don't think it's
- 11:23Speaker 1: foreshadowing by any means, but it is a little ominous
- 11:26Speaker 1: part in there that says till death do us part,
- 11:30Speaker 1: dun dun dun. So yeah, if you don't know this case,
- 11:34Speaker 1: that might be a little bit of a heads up
- 11:35Speaker 1: for you there and what may be happening here. So Gabby,
- 11:40Speaker 1: like I said, free soul, just like any other free soul,
- 11:43Speaker 1: she has a dream of traveling across the country in
- 11:48Speaker 1: a van. Oh love that lifestyle work. I mean, we're
- 11:52Speaker 1: kind of living that sort of lifestyle and a tiney home,
- 11:54Speaker 1: just minus the traveling.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I've already said that once we're settled in here,
- 11:58Speaker 2: i'd one day like to ta get a van.
- 12:00Speaker 1: That would be ideal. I would be down for that.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I think that'd be awesome.
- 12:03Speaker 1: On one condition. What there better be chocolate milk and
- 12:07Speaker 1: beer in that van.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Oh okay. I thought you were going to say beer,
- 12:10Speaker 2: and I was like, yeah, I'll be beer, chocolate milk.
- 12:12Speaker 2: I'll have to see about the chocolate milk.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Chocolate milk is life. Hey, if there's no chocolate milk,
- 12:16Speaker 1: then there's no this. There's no U and me.
- 12:18Speaker 2: You don't have chocol milk here right now.
- 12:20Speaker 1: It's probably because they drank it. No, we got to
- 12:23Speaker 1: get the chocolate milk in the tiny home. Okay. But yeah,
- 12:26Speaker 1: of course, traveling across the States in a van that
- 12:29Speaker 1: would be amazing and she wanted to document the trip
- 12:31Speaker 1: and share it with the world along the way. So,
- 12:35Speaker 1: of course in a van you're free, free from debt, bills, jobs, cities, towns,
- 12:41Speaker 1: and anything like literally anything that weighs you down. It's
- 12:44Speaker 1: just like camping. And why do we go camping? Why
- 12:47Speaker 1: do we literally go off in tents in the bush
- 12:49Speaker 1: and live like cave man for the weekend? Do you know?
- 12:51Speaker 2: To be free?
- 12:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it disconnects us from things that weigh us down
- 12:55Speaker 1: in life. Right, it's so relaxing, Like you say, to
- 12:59Speaker 1: be free, free, So that's exactly why. So on July second,
- 13:03Speaker 1: Gabby and Brian embarked on the journey across the USA
- 13:07Speaker 1: in a van to live out her dream life. That's
- 13:10Speaker 1: exactly what happened.
- 13:11Speaker 2: So was it also his dream life?
- 13:15Speaker 1: I assume it is.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I mean, that's a lot of people wanting to spend
- 13:18Speaker 2: their time like that.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Right, Who wouldn't want to go travel for months on end?
- 13:21Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:22Speaker 1: Right?
- 13:22Speaker 2: Okay? And sorry? July second, July second, yeah, okay.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Uh so they were actually back in Blue Point, New York,
- 13:29Speaker 1: where Gabby's originally from. They were there celebrating her younger
- 13:34Speaker 1: brother's graduation from high school, and that's when they decided
- 13:38Speaker 1: that from there it would start their journey. Nice, So
- 13:41Speaker 1: after the celebrations, on the second they kicked it off,
- 13:44Speaker 1: they left their four month cross country journey.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Oh wow, Okay, that's like actually a long time.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Event.
- 13:52Speaker 2: It was just going to be like the US yep.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Okay, the trip was actually starting like from New York
- 13:59Speaker 1: and it was expected to conclude in October in Oregon.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Wow.
- 14:04Speaker 1: So that's a trip and a half.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Well, and that's like a lot of time to see
- 14:06Speaker 2: so many things. Yes, that's awesome.
- 14:09Speaker 1: What kind of like what kind of things are there
- 14:11Speaker 1: really to see on that route. Like, I'm not saying
- 14:14Speaker 1: there's not you, there's a lot. I'm just asking like,
- 14:18Speaker 1: like what things would people want to see? What is
- 14:20Speaker 1: there to see?
- 14:21Speaker 2: Like I want to know, Oh, yeah, there's there's probably
- 14:24Speaker 2: I wonder if there's anywhere you can find like what
- 14:26Speaker 2: their agenda was going to be, because that'd be cool.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I don't know if they had a specific agenda, but
- 14:33Speaker 1: there is free well I do know what they had,
- 14:35Speaker 1: like we're going to stop in this city, this city,
- 14:37Speaker 1: but I'm sure that they're like, oh, we're going to
- 14:39Speaker 1: spend an extra couple of days here because we're having fun,
- 14:41Speaker 1: Like that's what a trip should be.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, Oh my gosh, I just feel like there's
- 14:45Speaker 2: so much as like I feel like New York, Las Vegas.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Even my voice is really rasp so I'm not sure
- 14:52Speaker 2: why even like, well, we've talked about doing the Oregon coast,
- 14:55Speaker 2: oh doubt. Yeah, right down to San Francisco and stuff
- 14:58Speaker 2: would be just amazing.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Yeah, And Gabby really seemed to like beaches from her
- 15:03Speaker 1: social media. Oh okay, maybe that's just because beaches bake
- 15:06Speaker 1: fucking awesome photos. I don't know, or maybe she just
- 15:09Speaker 1: loves them. But yeah, so I should look it up,
- 15:13Speaker 1: see what kind of routes are I see what's on
- 15:15Speaker 1: that way. Maybe we can do that tripper ourselves one time.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll plan our next trip.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Yeah. Just please don't make us a podcast episode on
- 15:23Speaker 1: a true crime I know, just the worst. Yeah. So,
- 15:28Speaker 1: two days after they started their journey, on July fourth,
- 15:31Speaker 1: Gabby had posted the first photo to social media. The
- 15:36Speaker 1: picture was of her between two huge rock walls, which
- 15:39Speaker 1: is a rock formation, like a monument rock. It's a monument.
- 15:45Speaker 1: So there we go, the monument rocks at Natural Landmark
- 15:48Speaker 1: in Grove County, Kansas. Okay, so it's her kind of
- 15:51Speaker 1: posing in between these two like great big rock wall
- 15:54Speaker 1: sort of things. Really good photo looks awesome. And then
- 15:58Speaker 1: the same day there was another photo that was all
- 16:00Speaker 1: so posted that that was Brian sitting on top of
- 16:03Speaker 1: their van with those same rocks in the background.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Okay, and these photos are both on her Instagram.
- 16:10Speaker 1: You know, I never actually looked which account was specifically
- 16:14Speaker 1: these photos were posted to, but you can find her
- 16:17Speaker 1: Instagram and she's got a lot of these photos posted.
- 16:21Speaker 1: It's either between just her account or her and his account.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Okay, I definitely want to check them out.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Yeah, because I was going off a lot of different
- 16:29Speaker 1: articles and someone was like, here's the Instagram post, and
- 16:32Speaker 1: it would show it and I just never really paid
- 16:36Speaker 1: attention to if it was her his account, So you
- 16:39Speaker 1: can go take a look for sure. Each couple basically
- 16:42Speaker 1: got their their shot to shine on social media for
- 16:45Speaker 1: their first kick off the trip. Right, it was like,
- 16:49Speaker 1: this is our trip. Here we both are and this
- 16:51Speaker 1: is going to be the whole memorable travel across the states.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Sert of situation, live in like the dream life. So
- 16:58Speaker 2: many people would want to be following that. Many people
- 17:00Speaker 2: do I would.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I mean, especially being locked up in an office the
- 17:03Speaker 1: whole nine to five, even if you're looking at that
- 17:07Speaker 1: small four inch screen, seeing these monuments, seeing that trip,
- 17:10Speaker 1: it's living vicariously through someone who's doing that right.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Well. Also with COVID, I think a lot of people
- 17:16Speaker 2: are desperate to get some travel in their life at
- 17:19Speaker 2: the moment.
- 17:19Speaker 1: That's true. I never really thought of it that way,
- 17:21Speaker 1: but yeah, totally, because.
- 17:22Speaker 2: I feel desperate. I'm seeking for myself.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Actually yeah, yeah, I feel the same. So don't worry there,
- 17:29Speaker 1: You're not alone. So that their social media continued to
- 17:33Speaker 1: be update as their trip progressed. They made their way
- 17:36Speaker 1: through sand dunes and Colorados to hot springs in Utah,
- 17:41Speaker 1: and of course several campsites along the whole way, you know,
- 17:44Speaker 1: to stop and sleep and camp, and you've got to
- 17:47Speaker 1: sleep somewhere. And that's the whole point of van life
- 17:49Speaker 1: is you're living out of the van and campsites and
- 17:51Speaker 1: place to place to place. Right, So, yeah, that was
- 17:54Speaker 1: kind of how it worked, and off they went. Did
- 17:59Speaker 1: you just burn?
- 18:00Speaker 2: Okay? Well, no, it's just like I guess it's an
- 18:03Speaker 2: inner Okay.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Can you explain to people what an inner burp is?
- 18:08Speaker 2: Like?
- 18:08Speaker 1: What the fuck?
- 18:08Speaker 2: Well, it's like what I do? I don't know. It's
- 18:10Speaker 2: like more of like a throat gurgle. I don't think
- 18:12Speaker 2: I'm alone in this situation. Is that not how you
- 18:16Speaker 2: describe it?
- 18:17Speaker 1: I guess yeah, but just always makes me just laugh,
- 18:22Speaker 1: like it's an inner burp? Like what the fuck is
- 18:25Speaker 1: an inner?
- 18:26Speaker 2: You? There's people out there that are gonna know exactly
- 18:28Speaker 2: what I mean, how I describe that.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I know what you mean. It's just a really weird description.
- 18:33Speaker 2: It's just like a gurgle, like I can't really like
- 18:35Speaker 2: a wordly burp like you can that's like I can
- 18:38Speaker 2: burp on command. Yeah you can. Oh my gosh, let's
- 18:43Speaker 2: not go there.
- 18:44Speaker 1: I can do the abs.
- 18:45Speaker 2: No, we're not doing that. No one wants to do that. Ship.
- 18:48Speaker 1: I'm sure someone out there wants to hear it.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Well, we'll save that for a later day.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Okay, So burping aside, We're gonna get back to the
- 19:00Speaker 1: case here. We're moving on to July eighteenth. They actually
- 19:05Speaker 1: created their website Nomadic static dot com.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Oh, they had a whole website.
- 19:09Speaker 1: They have a whole website.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Okay, so what is this for?
- 19:12Speaker 1: Then? You know, there's not a whole lot on their website.
- 19:15Speaker 1: If I'm going to be honest here, I'm going to
- 19:17Speaker 1: just bring it up real quick just to kind of
- 19:19Speaker 1: Oh I don't have Wi Fi.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Oh yeah, look at we're like really living the life.
- 19:23Speaker 2: We don't even have right, Yeah, I might.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Have the tab open. Oh yeah. So it's just kind
- 19:29Speaker 1: of like a homepage. Oh okay, so far and it's
- 19:33Speaker 1: like a sign in there is.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I have a question actually now that you kind of
- 19:37Speaker 2: just showed me the van. Okay, yeah, did they kind
- 19:39Speaker 2: of like just buy it as is or did they
- 19:41Speaker 2: redo kind of the inside to make it different.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Now I couldn't find anything on if they purchased it.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I'm going to assume they're renting it.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, okay, And it's already set up, like with
- 19:53Speaker 2: the sleeping area and kitchen, and I think Jazz.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I don't think there is a sleeping area in it.
- 19:57Speaker 1: This one's a smaller one. They were tinting it.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Oh okay.
- 20:01Speaker 1: So there's there's some log stuff and such where they're
- 20:03Speaker 1: in a tent, and like their kitchen and that sort
- 20:06Speaker 1: of stuff was in the van.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Oh gosh, if you're under the van, I think it's
- 20:10Speaker 2: the bed. The whole. Sitch just needs to.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Be in the whole. You guys should have just saw
- 20:14Speaker 1: what Nicole did. She had like the six the whole,
- 20:16Speaker 1: like you know when you do like the okay thing
- 20:18Speaker 1: with your fingers. Okay, okay, she just did that, but
- 20:21Speaker 1: like a fancy way. She's like the whole fitch.
- 20:25Speaker 2: I'm pretty fancy.
- 20:26Speaker 1: It was like a pinky finger in the air sort
- 20:28Speaker 1: of situation. Okay. So noumadic Static was a website. You
- 20:34Speaker 1: can go check it out. There's not a whole lot there.
- 20:36Speaker 1: That was posted on July eighteenth, and then we moved
- 20:39Speaker 1: down the road a little bit here after some more
- 20:42Speaker 1: travels onto August twelfth, where they found themselves in the
- 20:45Speaker 1: Arches National Park in Utah. Police officers responded to an
- 20:51Speaker 1: incident regarding Gabby and Brian.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Okay, so this is like one month or so, slightly
- 20:59Speaker 2: over one month after they started this journey, right, yes, yeah, okay, So.
- 21:03Speaker 1: They started July second, and we're on to August eighteenth.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Okay, okay, so like a month and a half really, yep.
- 21:11Speaker 1: So someone ended up calling an incident to the police
- 21:16Speaker 1: regarding the two, and police arrived at a pull out
- 21:19Speaker 1: on the side of a highway to find Gabby and
- 21:21Speaker 1: Brian arguing intently.
- 21:24Speaker 2: That's so interesting.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Now there is bodycam footage of this, so you can
- 21:32Speaker 1: go watch some footage and see for yourself. I'm going
- 21:36Speaker 1: to kind of give us a bit of a rundown
- 21:38Speaker 1: on this, and some of it is kind of my opinion, okay,
- 21:41Speaker 1: And I'm going to try and stay neutral on this, okay,
- 21:44Speaker 1: So don't come at me if you don't like what
- 21:46Speaker 1: I say. I'm just kind of trying to deliver like
- 21:49Speaker 1: some backs here and maybe a little bit of my
- 21:53Speaker 1: opinion on it, my point of view.
- 21:54Speaker 2: So Okay, we'll you give us a warning, so that's fair.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Not that it's anything bad, don't get me wrong there,
- 21:59Speaker 1: but just oh.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Well, I was expecting something really juicy with that morning.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Yeah ish, So anyways, let's get into it. So the
- 22:09Speaker 1: two were separated and questioned about what was going on.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Gabby told officers that the two had been fighting all morning.
- 22:16Speaker 1: She had been stressed with trying to accomplish some of
- 22:18Speaker 1: her social media items on her to do list, her
- 22:20Speaker 1: task sort of thing, and she was also dealing with
- 22:23Speaker 1: some OCD about cleaning in the van. So she was
- 22:27Speaker 1: apologizing to Brian about getting frustrated and getting angry, but
- 22:32Speaker 1: Brian was kind of getting pissed off back, like you know,
- 22:36Speaker 1: people get angry, you start feeding off each other.
- 22:38Speaker 2: I feel like this is just described us this morning
- 22:40Speaker 2: pretty much about cleaning the house.
- 22:45Speaker 1: This doesn't describe us though, because I didn't lock you
- 22:47Speaker 1: out of the house. Brian locked Gabby out of the
- 22:50Speaker 1: van at one point, oh boy, and he told her
- 22:53Speaker 1: that she wasn't going to be let back into the
- 22:56Speaker 1: van unless she calmed down.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Okay, that's like a bit harsh.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Maybe it definitely is. So Brian's story was very similar
- 23:04Speaker 1: to Gabby's. There was no major discrepancies between the two.
- 23:07Speaker 1: They seemed to both be honest about it and say
- 23:11Speaker 1: what happened and owning shit.
- 23:14Speaker 2: It's good.
- 23:15Speaker 1: However, the story did include a physical altercation rather than
- 23:18Speaker 1: just some arguing. Oh. At one point, Brian tried to
- 23:22Speaker 1: quote unquote create distance between the two of them by
- 23:26Speaker 1: pushing Gabby away, and in the encounter he gained some
- 23:30Speaker 1: scratches on his neck and face.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Oh boy, okay, was this like prior to the police
- 23:36Speaker 2: arriving kind of thing?
- 23:37Speaker 1: Then? Yes, So he's on the body cam footage, can
- 23:41Speaker 1: see the police asking about asking him about these scratches.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 23:46Speaker 1: And they even at one point asked him to lift
- 23:48Speaker 1: up his right arm shirt sleeve to take a look
- 23:51Speaker 1: at his arm. Because I can't I couldn't quite make
- 23:54Speaker 1: out what they were talking about or saying, yeah, they're
- 23:56Speaker 1: looking for some bruising or some It almost seemed like
- 23:58Speaker 1: the officer was looking for like defensive wounds or something
- 24:03Speaker 1: to like show that there was like maybe she was
- 24:06Speaker 1: fighting him off or something. That's what it seemed like
- 24:08Speaker 1: to me, Like like the officer was like, okay, if
- 24:12Speaker 1: there was like if he's on top of her or
- 24:14Speaker 1: something like that might be a part where there's typically
- 24:18Speaker 1: defense wounds. Oh okay, that's that's the impression I got
- 24:22Speaker 1: from that moment.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Okay, but there wasn't really.
- 24:26Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't think so huh, go watch
- 24:30Speaker 1: the body cam footage for yourself and you can take
- 24:32Speaker 1: a look at.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and now I want to because I did see
- 24:35Speaker 2: a little bit on the clips of that. But yeah,
- 24:37Speaker 2: now that's interesting. Okay.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Yeah, So according to Brian, though, these scratches wasn't from
- 24:43Speaker 1: Gabby like attacking him, although Gabby did at one point
- 24:46Speaker 1: admit to hitting Brian. Okay, it was just kind of
- 24:50Speaker 1: from what had happened in the moment. He said. It
- 24:52Speaker 1: was like maybe fingernails or rings or something like just
- 24:55Speaker 1: kind of you know, like he didn't even really notice
- 24:57Speaker 1: it in the moment, just like, oh, what the fuck
- 24:58Speaker 1: got me sort of thing. Yeah, so that's kind of
- 25:04Speaker 1: the swing the low down on this. There seemed to
- 25:07Speaker 1: be no major evidence to say that there was like
- 25:12Speaker 1: really anything going on as far as like major altercations
- 25:15Speaker 1: or a fight or a domestic so criminal charges weren't
- 25:19Speaker 1: being laid. The officer actually told this is kind of
- 25:22Speaker 1: where people might not like me. They told Gabby that
- 25:26Speaker 1: no charges would be laid against her because she seemed
- 25:28Speaker 1: like she would be the one, especially considering she admitted
- 25:31Speaker 1: to hitting Brian. She would be the one who was
- 25:34Speaker 1: the aggressor, okay, even though Brian did push her. So
- 25:39Speaker 1: Gabby seemed to be the one who was the aggressor
- 25:41Speaker 1: in the situation, seemed to be the one not saying
- 25:45Speaker 1: it is yeah, seemed to be the one okay.
- 25:48Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, because now that I'm thinking back, I
- 25:51Speaker 2: only ever seen her footage of her talking to the
- 25:54Speaker 2: police on the body camp, so I didn't see Brian's
- 25:57Speaker 2: at all.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I think the whole body camp though I didn't.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I couldn't find a link to the whole footage I
- 26:05Speaker 1: did watch. I think it was about eight minutes of
- 26:08Speaker 1: different chopped up videos and stuff. I think the body
- 26:12Speaker 1: cam I think it was said it was supposed to
- 26:13Speaker 1: be about an hour long.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Holy moly, Okay, and that is just wild actually, Like
- 26:18Speaker 2: I mean, like, okay, we've been married and together a
- 26:22Speaker 2: long time and got married really young and stuff. Yeah, yep,
- 26:26Speaker 2: you pissed me off like a lot.
- 26:27Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Like there is just many a times where I'm just like,
- 26:31Speaker 2: holy shit. But even just that, I can't imagine. I
- 26:36Speaker 2: can't imagine it's just like on the side of like
- 26:38Speaker 2: a highway, like just going at it, where like police
- 26:41Speaker 2: need to be called, you know, Like I feel like
- 26:43Speaker 2: we would, we'd be able to figure that out.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I think so too. But I'm pretty sure the picture
- 26:49Speaker 1: you just painted everyone out there is just gonna think
- 26:51Speaker 1: of a Compleay.
- 26:53Speaker 2: No, not at all. No, I love you to Okay,
- 26:56Speaker 2: I piss you off all the time. That's just like
- 26:59Speaker 2: may that's just like a relationship.
- 27:01Speaker 1: It's true, that's true.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's just like so to me, I can't
- 27:04Speaker 2: even like I guess be envision being stuck on the
- 27:08Speaker 2: side of the road like fighting like that, Like yeah,
- 27:12Speaker 2: to the extent where like people are calling the police
- 27:14Speaker 2: on you.
- 27:14Speaker 1: You know, that's true. Yeah, just wild. Well. I think
- 27:18Speaker 1: the police did a fairly good job in this situation though,
- 27:21Speaker 1: And the police did end up actually separating Gabby and Brian.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Oh okay, so they separated them to talk, and they
- 27:27Speaker 1: also said that we recommend like you guys are spending
- 27:29Speaker 1: the night at.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Different places, they're spending too much time together. Something the
- 27:33Speaker 2: police thought.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Maybe or just need to cool down for the evening
- 27:36Speaker 1: whatever it was. And they also told them not to
- 27:37Speaker 1: communicate with each other even via phones, no texting.
- 27:40Speaker 2: No nothing, really preconvenient.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Reconvene in the morning, okay.
- 27:45Speaker 2: So they set up the whole plan for them to
- 27:48Speaker 2: reconvene in the morning.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Then. I don't know if the police set it up
- 27:52Speaker 1: or if they did or what, but.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, that's sounds so interesting.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Okay, either way though, that's exactly what they did. They separated,
- 27:58Speaker 1: and they were totally fine with that. They went I'm
- 28:01Speaker 1: assuming hotels they went and stayed at for the night,
- 28:03Speaker 1: cool and then reconvened in the morning and went back
- 28:06Speaker 1: on their road trip.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Okay. Interesting.
- 28:10Speaker 1: So they moved on to August nineteenth, which is only
- 28:14Speaker 1: a few days after this, which was August twelfth that
- 28:17Speaker 1: the altercation occurred. So August nineteenth, a YouTube video was uploaded,
- 28:23Speaker 1: a vlog which is primarily clips accumulated from the trip
- 28:26Speaker 1: thus far and other adventures previously. I'm assuming because it
- 28:31Speaker 1: looks like they're shots from the Santa Monica.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Pier, which they wouldn't have.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Been there so at least I don't think unless they
- 28:39Speaker 1: went there and back or I don't know either way.
- 28:42Speaker 1: There's a bunch of travel clips of them together. There's sunsets,
- 28:47Speaker 1: there's sushi, there's arcades, beaches, sushi. That's what you pulled
- 28:53Speaker 1: out of that.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you got me?
- 28:56Speaker 1: Well okay, Okay, I'm upset it shows up priorities because
- 29:01Speaker 1: when I was researching this, I was like, oh, I
- 29:03Speaker 1: want to go to an arcade, and I'm just like yep.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Either way, they were all around enjoying life. They seem
- 29:11Speaker 1: to be happy with their adventure and just life all
- 29:15Speaker 1: together and being together.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Good.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Yeah, so they seem pretty happy and good for them.
- 29:20Speaker 2: That's good.
- 29:21Speaker 1: We are, however, going to get down a little bit
- 29:23Speaker 1: more into some crazy timeline details here for a minute,
- 29:26Speaker 1: because this is some important shit. Okay, So let's get
- 29:29Speaker 1: to the nitty gritty. So we hit August twenty seventh. Gabby,
- 29:37Speaker 1: Hold on, what am I? I got? Point for hm here?
- 29:40Speaker 1: So I'm just trying to make sense out of this
- 29:42Speaker 1: point form. Okay. Gabby sent a text to her mom
- 29:47Speaker 1: that's saying she was headed to Yellowstone.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Okay, got it?
- 29:51Speaker 1: So that was August twenty seventh, and she also sent
- 29:54Speaker 1: a snapchat to a friend that she was heading to Yellowstone.
- 29:57Speaker 1: So that's two messages on our Agust twenty seventh, she was.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Heading to She's gone to Yellowstone.
- 30:04Speaker 1: August twenty ninth, Gabby was supposed to meet a friend
- 30:07Speaker 1: in Yellowstone. However, she never showed up.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Really really okay? August twenty ninth. Okay.
- 30:18Speaker 1: August thirtieth, there was a text from Gabby's phone to
- 30:21Speaker 1: a friend. She said that she was in She was
- 30:24Speaker 1: in Salt Lake City. However, now police do want to
- 30:28Speaker 1: note this that the text could have been delayed due
- 30:31Speaker 1: to spotty cell service.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Okay, that's fair, she could have sent it earlier, Okakay.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Yeah, the last text to her mom, uh said no
- 30:43Speaker 1: service in Yozamite. Her stepdad, however, said that they never
- 30:48Speaker 1: planned to visit Yosamite.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Okay, and what date was that on?
- 30:55Speaker 1: That was August thirtieth as well. Oh okay, okay, But
- 30:58Speaker 1: I mean plans do change plan especially.
- 31:01Speaker 2: And like you said, they didn't seem like they had
- 31:03Speaker 2: the whole trip completely planned. They were wanting to be
- 31:06Speaker 2: like free a little though.
- 31:07Speaker 1: I'm sure there was plans, but nothing set in stone,
- 31:10Speaker 1: nothing definite. So that was August thirtieth, September first, Brian
- 31:18Speaker 1: returns to Florida.
- 31:21Speaker 2: No Gabby, which is not okay, Yep, she's just gone.
- 31:30Speaker 1: They don't know where she is. And he's not speaking,
- 31:33Speaker 1: not talking, no nothing, just tight lipped nothing.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Which seems so fishy. Yep, like that just seems so fishy.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Oh totally. So we get down to September eleventh. Now
- 31:49Speaker 1: I couldn't find any information on the van in particular
- 31:54Speaker 1: and how this worked. All I could find that the
- 31:56Speaker 1: van was taken into custody. Okay, I don't know if
- 31:59Speaker 1: it was still in possession of Brian. I don't know
- 32:02Speaker 1: if it was parked somewhere and they just found it
- 32:06Speaker 1: or what.
- 32:08Speaker 2: But because I've heard mixed reports so that too. Some
- 32:11Speaker 2: people say like drove it back and then some people
- 32:15Speaker 2: say it was just parked or whatever. Because if he
- 32:17Speaker 2: drove it back and stuff, but he wasn't really talking
- 32:19Speaker 2: the place, it wouldn't make sense that he would give
- 32:22Speaker 2: it back unless it was rented and like he returned.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if like a rental company had
- 32:27Speaker 1: it or yeah, maybe it was like his parents van,
- 32:30Speaker 1: they had possession of it. I don't know. Yeah, but
- 32:33Speaker 1: either way, the van was taken into custody Okay. Gabby
- 32:37Speaker 1: was labeled as a missing person officially, and Brian requested
- 32:43Speaker 1: a lawyer.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I just can't. Like, I just feel
- 32:49Speaker 2: like if someone came home from a vacation and they
- 32:52Speaker 2: didn't come home with the person they were supposed to
- 32:54Speaker 2: come home with and they're not talking, I would just
- 32:56Speaker 2: shake them, Like what right?
- 32:59Speaker 1: I'd be slapping that dude. What the fuck is like? Talk?
- 33:01Speaker 1: What the fucking he like? What happened?
- 33:04Speaker 2: Don't be induced Like if he's trying to cover up something.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Which it seems like he is, I'm not gonna say
- 33:11Speaker 1: he is if he don't know.
- 33:13Speaker 2: But here working is like almost just as bad.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Oh yeah, or really yeah, it's pretty much admitting something's wrong,
- 33:21Speaker 1: that you did something or were involved or know something.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Because it doesn't make any sense.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Yeah. So basically, since then, Gabby's story has, like I said,
- 33:29Speaker 1: gone international, and Brian has refused to talk with media
- 33:33Speaker 1: or investigators. Not a word nothing.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Okay, but isn't it sorry if I'm interrupting here? His
- 33:39Speaker 2: parents have kind of like guided him to be that way,
- 33:42Speaker 2: haven't they.
- 33:43Speaker 1: I don't know, Okay, I mean.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Grant you. He's a thirty seven year old man. So yeah,
- 33:48Speaker 2: at that age, do your parents guide you a lot.
- 33:51Speaker 2: I mean, they have their opinion, but it's you're up
- 33:53Speaker 2: to you.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Yeah, And I mean Brian was staying at his parents place,
- 33:57Speaker 1: so it's very much possible.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Now we're hitting September eighteenth, a body was recovered in
- 34:06Speaker 1: Grand Telton as Grand Telton National Park, though an autopsy
- 34:12Speaker 1: is scheduled for later this week. The remains are quote
- 34:15Speaker 1: unquote resist oh, I can't talk today, quote unquote, consistent
- 34:21Speaker 1: with the description of the missing twenty two year old
- 34:24Speaker 1: Gabby Patito, which I.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Feel like just almost pretty much means it's her.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Right, Well, the body has not been officially identified and
- 34:33Speaker 1: the cause of death has not been confirmed, right, so
- 34:37Speaker 1: clearly it's not a confirmation that that is Gabby. But
- 34:40Speaker 1: here's the thing, it seems that kind of unofficial that
- 34:44Speaker 1: it is. I've seen several reports of people being like
- 34:47Speaker 1: rip Gabby and new sources talking about it a bit too. Now.
- 34:51Speaker 1: That could be them jumping the gun.
- 34:53Speaker 2: It could be.
- 34:54Speaker 1: There's one thing, however, that sticks out to me that
- 34:56Speaker 1: says maybe it's not jumping the gun. On the social
- 35:00Speaker 1: media by the verified account for the Northport Police department reads,
- 35:07Speaker 1: we are saddened and heartbroken to learn that Gabby has
- 35:11Speaker 1: been found de ceased. Our focus from the start, along
- 35:14Speaker 1: with the FBI and National Partners, has been to bring
- 35:17Speaker 1: her home. We will continue to work with the FBI
- 35:20Speaker 1: and search more, search for more answers.
- 35:24Speaker 2: And that was on a verified police Facebook account. Seriously, yes,
- 35:31Speaker 2: because I'm like, okay, like it might they might need
- 35:34Speaker 2: some time because they have to notify family and like
- 35:36Speaker 2: family has to deal with this and everything. Yes, because
- 35:40Speaker 2: it's just freaking heartbreaking. I when I first heard about
- 35:42Speaker 2: this story, it wasn't even that long ago, Like it
- 35:45Speaker 2: just seems like it kind of really came out and
- 35:47Speaker 2: now it's on everyone's top of mind. I was just like,
- 35:49Speaker 2: oh my, like please find her, like please just like
- 35:53Speaker 2: have that she's okay. But then everything just made me
- 35:56Speaker 2: like God makes you feel like it wasn't going to be.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Yeah, So it sucks. I mean, I really don't want
- 36:06Speaker 1: it to be Gabby, but I mean it's really seems
- 36:10Speaker 1: like it is. Yeah. I mean, police aren't saying we
- 36:13Speaker 1: don't know if it's Gabby or not. They're saying a
- 36:15Speaker 1: body has been found or recovered consistent with the reports.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Of what Gabby would look like. I'm assuming that's closed
- 36:23Speaker 1: or any or whatever. They know what Gabby looks like.
- 36:26Speaker 1: They have footage and photos of her.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm like a super I don't know. I
- 36:32Speaker 2: don't think I'm alone in this. But a lot of times,
- 36:34Speaker 2: if there's like news stories, I am so into reading
- 36:37Speaker 2: the comments. Oh yeah, like I cove always sad hours
- 36:41Speaker 2: and times reading the comments though. Oh there's assholes online, definitely,
- 36:47Speaker 2: But yeah, reading comments with this case, like every every
- 36:51Speaker 2: comment is almost just like people pointing at Brian ye,
- 36:56Speaker 2: like it's almost every comment.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Well, there is some interesting foot that's been brought forward
- 37:01Speaker 1: by a travel vlogger. Oh do you tell have you
- 37:04Speaker 1: not heard of this?
- 37:05Speaker 2: No?
- 37:06Speaker 1: Well, this footage by a travel vlogger was also in
- 37:08Speaker 1: the area of Grand Telton National Park where they're visiting
- 37:12Speaker 1: Spread Creek Dispersed Campground on August twenty seventh, twenty twenty one.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Okay, now do.
- 37:20Speaker 1: You remember anything that I was talking about with August
- 37:21Speaker 1: twenty seventh?
- 37:24Speaker 2: Is that the date that she's told everyone she's going
- 37:26Speaker 2: to Yellowstone or no.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Yep, and then the next day she was or sorry.
- 37:32Speaker 1: August twenty seventh was when she was going to Yellowstone.
- 37:34Speaker 1: She was supposed to meet someone at in Yellowstone on
- 37:37Speaker 1: the twenty ninth, and she never showed. Okay, so that's
- 37:41Speaker 1: kind of looks like it's the window for her disappearance, right,
- 37:46Speaker 1: So this vlogger just so happened to be in the
- 37:50Speaker 1: same sort of area and at around six six thirty
- 37:53Speaker 1: pm they came across Gabby and Brian's van parked in
- 37:57Speaker 1: that campground really yep, and being travel vloggers, they had
- 38:03Speaker 1: their camera rolling as they're pulling in, and they have
- 38:06Speaker 1: full video of the van and plates parked in that
- 38:09Speaker 1: campground on the twenty seventh, which is the exact same
- 38:14Speaker 1: area the body was recovered and the same approximate time
- 38:18Speaker 1: as a disappearance.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Okay, but they and they didn't know really at the time.
- 38:25Speaker 1: No, because of this news source and everything, right, everything
- 38:29Speaker 1: came out in the media. These people are like, I'm
- 38:32Speaker 1: pretty sure we saw that van, and they go back
- 38:35Speaker 1: and it is that van. Oh my god, there it
- 38:40Speaker 1: is right there.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Wow.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Yeah, so kind of convenient that they're there. But anyways,
- 38:47Speaker 1: so it's no surprise Brian is currently the main person
- 38:51Speaker 1: of interest in this case. Right now, while this is
- 38:54Speaker 1: all unfolding. He was staying in his parents place, like
- 38:56Speaker 1: I said, but as of right now, he has actually
- 39:01Speaker 1: become a missing person too.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Really yeah interesting.
- 39:06Speaker 1: I know, right, a little convenient many think, But yeah,
- 39:09Speaker 1: so he's he's officially missing. Brand's family told police that
- 39:14Speaker 1: on September seventeenth, SORR. They told the police on September
- 39:18Speaker 1: seventeenth that they had not seen him since Tuesday, which
- 39:22Speaker 1: is almost a week. So he's been disappeared for a
- 39:26Speaker 1: little bit of a time.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Oh, I don't know if I should say this that
- 39:31Speaker 2: they obviously knew.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Well, yeah, clearly they knew that he was out, he
- 39:35Speaker 1: was gone somewhere, and yeah, well what he said, well,
- 39:40Speaker 1: what the family said to police was that he left
- 39:45Speaker 1: home with a backpack and then told him that he
- 39:47Speaker 1: was going to Carlton Reserve, which is a twenty five
- 39:50Speaker 1: thousand acre national reserve near Venice, Florida, and he was
- 39:54Speaker 1: just going on a hike. So yeah, okay, he's just
- 40:00Speaker 1: he's just out in a fucking hike. He's like, oh, yeah,
- 40:02Speaker 1: you know, my fiance is just missing. The police are
- 40:06Speaker 1: after me. I'm not going to say a word. The
- 40:08Speaker 1: media is putting my name all over the world. And everything,
- 40:10Speaker 1: and I'm gonna go on a hike.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Fucket, I'm going on a hide out.
- 40:14Speaker 1: I'm not gonna like tell police what may or may
- 40:17Speaker 1: not have happened. I'm just gonna go on a hike.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Huh So, yeah, that seems really illogical.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Actually, hey, I would say illogical personally.
- 40:28Speaker 2: That's like running lots lately, with how our life has
- 40:31Speaker 2: been so stressful alt times, I'm like, I'm going to
- 40:33Speaker 2: just run away. Yeah, I think he's feel that.
- 40:36Speaker 1: Well, that's that's the main theory, that he's just running.
- 40:38Speaker 1: He's just gone. He's just like peace out. He I mean,
- 40:42Speaker 1: that's a that's a huge fucking place. It's twenty thousand
- 40:45Speaker 1: acres and he's just off in the bush. He took
- 40:48Speaker 1: a backpack, he's got supplies if he wants to hide,
- 40:51Speaker 1: I'm sure he can hide for at least a little while.
- 40:54Speaker 2: No, totally, Yeah, I wonder how his survival skills are.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Well, I'm sure we'll find out the news.
- 41:02Speaker 2: We very much so will.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Although to be fair, I mean, he could have just
- 41:06Speaker 1: gone into hikes try and get away from the stress,
- 41:08Speaker 1: and something could have happened.
- 41:10Speaker 2: That's true, So that's actually very true.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Yeah, regardless of the police in Northport, Florida tweeted Saturday,
- 41:18Speaker 1: and I just want to say, I fucking love, don't well,
- 41:22Speaker 1: I don't know if I love. I just think it's
- 41:23Speaker 1: hilarious that new sources and stuff are going to Facebook
- 41:27Speaker 1: and Twitter. Like I was talking about the verified police
- 41:30Speaker 1: account earlier and now we're talking about Twitter for which
- 41:34Speaker 1: again the Northport Police, like that's just news sources nowadays
- 41:39Speaker 1: social media, it's like, oh yeah, we're just going to
- 41:41Speaker 1: the tweeter about it.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Well, honestly, like if all of you news sits on
- 41:45Speaker 2: my Facebook and that's where I get a.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Lot of my news, I think that's a bit of
- 41:49Speaker 3: a problem nowadays though, people people are getting their new
- 41:53Speaker 3: sources from social media, and there's no regulation on who
- 41:56Speaker 3: can cannot post to social media, so you can begin
- 42:00Speaker 3: some fucking.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Bad fucking and I think lots of their like titles
- 42:05Speaker 2: or headlines or whatever kind of like click.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Baity, oh yeah, and if people are just scrolling by.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Just like yeah, uh so, yeah, the Northport Police are
- 42:15Speaker 2: actually verified, So that's that's good though.
- 42:17Speaker 1: But anyways, they tweeted on Saturday that authorities were researching
- 42:21Speaker 1: or sorry, not researching. They are searching the reserve in
- 42:25Speaker 1: an effort to find him, and they're including drones and
- 42:29Speaker 1: bloodhounds and using articles of Brian's clothing so that bloodhounds
- 42:33Speaker 1: can have the scent. Yeah, well, if.
- 42:37Speaker 2: He's out there, I feel like he's gonna get found.
- 42:39Speaker 1: He's gonna get got. Yeah, he's going to get got
- 42:42Speaker 1: if he's out there.
- 42:43Speaker 2: But I feel like, Okay, if he is running, then
- 42:48Speaker 2: he probably isn't there.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Do you think so?
- 42:50Speaker 2: Well, because if say, if this was like a plan
- 42:53Speaker 2: or whatever, and he's running away, like you would tell
- 42:56Speaker 2: them where he wasn't.
- 42:59Speaker 1: Why the fuck didn't I think of that? Of course,
- 43:02Speaker 1: they're not gonna if he's running and the parents know,
- 43:05Speaker 1: or even if Brian misinformed his parents, he's like, yeah,
- 43:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna be here, and then he fucks off somewhere else,
- 43:11Speaker 1: and if the parents do know that he's over here,
- 43:13Speaker 1: they're like, oh, he's actually over there.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Yeah, so he could become the more completely different.
- 43:18Speaker 1: Shit, you just why didn't I see that? You blew
- 43:21Speaker 1: my mind?
- 43:22Speaker 2: Wow? Can you do that lots of times? In my case?
- 43:25Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh, yeah, that makes sense.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Well i'ms on. Well, I's on. So as of right now. Though.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Brian's parents place has actually been taken with a search
- 43:35Speaker 1: warrant since the discovery of the body, which again kind
- 43:38Speaker 1: of points in the direction of it being Gabby, and
- 43:43Speaker 1: the house is considered an active crime scene.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Holy shit. I wonder what they're gonna find in there.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Hey, yeah, I don't know. I do not know. And
- 43:52Speaker 1: there was one other thing I wanted to touch on
- 43:55Speaker 1: here there is I couldn't find specific information on it.
- 44:00Speaker 1: It's a new thing that came out. There was a
- 44:04Speaker 1: note that was found by Brian that is being held
- 44:09Speaker 1: as some main or significant evidence. I can't place if
- 44:16Speaker 1: it was in the van or house or whatever, but
- 44:20Speaker 1: it was a note that he had left before he
- 44:22Speaker 1: went on his fucking hike to wherever he actually is.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Okay, it wasn't found by Brian. It was a note
- 44:29Speaker 2: that was from Brian.
- 44:31Speaker 1: It was a note left by Brian.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Okay, okay.
- 44:34Speaker 1: And police have this note and it's being considered significant evidence.
- 44:37Speaker 1: But that is all that's being released about it so far.
- 44:39Speaker 1: I haven't found anything, and this note is like super
- 44:43Speaker 1: new stuff.
- 44:44Speaker 2: So wow, to be investigating something like this, I feel
- 44:48Speaker 2: it must just be like liberating I guess, But also
- 44:53Speaker 2: devastating and also just take over your freaking life.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it would be crazy. Like imagine trying to
- 45:00Speaker 1: sleep at night with all this in your brain.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Well yeah, and like you just probably want so badly
- 45:05Speaker 2: to find like just have a good outcome, and you know.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Yeah, just trying to find Gabby and he.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Put so much work into it, and then if that
- 45:12Speaker 2: is her body, that's like the worst outcome you would want.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Yeah. I just hope that she's found, and I hope
- 45:19Speaker 1: that we actually get solace in understanding what happened, get.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Some answers hopefully soon to The waiting game is always
- 45:28Speaker 2: just the shittiest, right it is.
- 45:29Speaker 1: It really sucks.
- 45:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:31Speaker 1: So that is the current case of Gabby Potito. We
- 45:34Speaker 1: will definitely be updating everybody as the case continues on
- 45:38Speaker 1: our social media, which is Wicked and Graham and Instagram
- 45:41Speaker 1: and of course Facebook and wicked Ingraham dot com which
- 45:43Speaker 1: is our website, and of course I don't know do
- 45:46Speaker 1: we have anything else? Do we? Oh? Our YouTube which
- 45:48Speaker 1: is Wicked Life, Oh yeah, where we'll be posting of
- 45:51Speaker 1: log soon being in the tiny hole, yeah.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Our transition. Yeah, and there may one day, I'm assuming
- 45:58Speaker 2: be another there could be a part.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Two of this Yeah, definitely potential of being a part
- 46:02Speaker 1: two of this one as it resolves it.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Unless she's found then then maybe not.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Well then they're sentencing for whoever.
- 46:10Speaker 2: If there is, but I meant found alive.
- 46:12Speaker 1: Oh well then we get to know what happened.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh I guess. Yeah. There would be a story
- 46:17Speaker 2: either way, wouldn't there Yeah? Yeah, And then I was
- 46:21Speaker 2: going to super touch on because I kind of already
- 46:24Speaker 2: did a story a little bit on Instagram of I'm
- 46:27Speaker 2: doing a Texass oh case. Yeah, and there were a
- 46:31Speaker 2: couple people actually that that guessed the right one, and
- 46:35Speaker 2: there was also some people that didn't guess the right one.
- 46:37Speaker 2: But then I was like, oh, what's this case? And
- 46:39Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, so I have some like other ideas
- 46:42Speaker 2: for other text recommendations, super awesome requests. Actually I just
- 46:47Speaker 2: love it. So the one I'm doing next week is
- 46:51Speaker 2: the nineteen ninety one Austin yogurt shop murders.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Done Done. Ju You've actually told me a little bit
- 46:58Speaker 1: about this and it sounds juicy.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Oh, it's juicy, and it's also like pretty sad too.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Yeah, So that'll be next week.
- 47:08Speaker 2: There you go.
- 47:09Speaker 1: And of course as always until then.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Stay Wicked. That was an interesting one that was like
- 47:19Speaker 2: a like an act, like I'm like an announcer.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Stud Wicked, Stay
- 47:25Speaker 2: Wicked,
