- 1:38The knowledge. Is there.
- 1:39The certifications are there and Nick, thank you for being here.
- 1:44Welcome to the show. Man.
- 1:45It's a pleasure to have you. Thanks for having me brother.
- 1:48It's an honor to be able to kick it with you.
- 1:51And, you know, I received that with all humility with
- 1:54everything going on right now. You know, the scare of getting
- 1:58sick, people are really becoming health-conscious, right?
- 2:01We're really starting to consider Wow's the medication on
- 2:05being prescribed or the advice. I'm getting from a commercial
- 2:09really right? For me.
- 2:11And I think this is what's really awesome about what you
- 2:14do, because you Taylor somebody's needs right, like,
- 2:17like somebody comes to you and they have a hip issue, you work
- 2:21with them. You create a workout plan and
- 2:24nutrition and you coach, Them through, whatever, whatever
- 2:28their situation. Maybe I know you've even trained
- 2:30people to get ready to be released into the military.
- 2:33So you got a broad spectrum of people that you deal with on an
- 2:37everyday basis. Yes.
- 2:39Oh, you know, I've been a personal trainer now for 13
- 2:44years and, you know, starting out in the field, you know, I
- 2:48had really no idea what I was getting into.
- 2:50I just knew I was passionate about Fitness and so I didn't
- 2:54know where that Journey would take.
- 2:56Take me, I just knew I wanted to help people become fit and
- 3:00healthy in their bodies. So, I have gotten a lot of
- 3:03experience training. Like you said, people from
- 3:07teenage years all the way up until people in their 70s and
- 3:10even 80s. I think, is one of the oldest
- 3:12clients I've had. And so I've seen a lot, you
- 3:16know, I've experienced a lot and I've seen a lot of different
- 3:19health conditions along my journey with training people.
- 3:24I'm thankful for that because it's opened my eyes.
- 3:26To be able to broaden my skill set as a health coach, and be
- 3:31able to, you know, kind of connect some dots as to like,
- 3:35how how do you approach this person with this condition?
- 3:39Because, you know, I think we all are a little bit different
- 3:43when it comes to genetic makeup and and DNA and certain things
- 3:47like that. We all have certain coding and
- 3:50and I was just talking with somebody the other day because
- 3:52you know, she was like why I have high blood pressure and
- 3:56this And I like, what should I do?
- 3:57And she was kind of under the impression where it's kind of
- 4:03like, you just, it's something you have to deal with and I run
- 4:06into a lot of this with people and I have more of a mindset,
- 4:10like, if someone, if a doctor gives me a report of some bad
- 4:16health condition. I'm under the mindset, like,
- 4:19you're not going to tell me that I'm going to have to deal with
- 4:22that, or live with that forever. Like I will find a way to
- 4:25overcome. This issue and reverse it
- 4:27somehow some way. So that just kind of gives you
- 4:30an idea of my mentality on how I approach people.
- 4:34I'm always going to approach somebody, no matter what.
- 4:37They tell me no matter what condition, however serious.
- 4:40It's been whether you've had it for 20 plus years or you just
- 4:43got diagnosed with something. I'm going to treat you the exact
- 4:46same and tell you. We're going to work through this
- 4:50together and I believe with all my heart that this is something
- 4:53that you'll overcome. Because it just doesn't sit.
- 4:56Well when you know, you're told something and it's like well you
- 5:00just got to deal with it. Well, what if I don't want to
- 5:02deal with it, you know, I mean what if I want to experience
- 5:05life and explore and do all these things and now you're
- 5:08saying I can't do it. So I try to instill faith into
- 5:12people from the gate and really believe in them, even if they
- 5:17don't believe in themselves. And so, you know, throughout
- 5:22that whole journey to the point where I am now, You know, I knew
- 5:27I was only like scratching the surface with people's health and
- 5:30well-being and I was running into some roadblocks because as
- 5:34a trainer you can only give like generic guidelines as far as
- 5:38nutrition and other things like that.
- 5:40So I felt like I didn't really have control of people's diets
- 5:45and I started seeing that this was the very area that people
- 5:49were stumbling the most and rightfully.
- 5:51So, I mean it, you know, we love to eat every Social Gathering
- 5:57every event seems to be based around food or eating.
- 6:02You know, it should be the, it's a very social thing.
- 6:05And I think it's great. I've noticed that my people were
- 6:08really struggling with their diets and, and just whenever
- 6:12life would hit or stressful situations would come, you know,
- 6:16we run to our comfort Foods, right?
- 6:18You grab the tub of Ben and Jerry's or, you know, the bag of
- 6:23potato chips and whatever else. Stu try to suppress and push
- 6:28down those emotions because you're stressed.
- 6:32I wanted to come in and be able to help people overcome those
- 6:38stressful situations that kind of gets you in trouble.
- 6:41And then, you know, whenever you go to the ice cream, or the
- 6:46chips or whatever other Comfort Foods, it always leaves you
- 6:49feeling worse off after you eat that?
- 6:52Yeah. This is true.
- 6:53Like, like, it's a temporary We fix like it'll suppress it for a
- 6:57little bit. But then you feel kind of gross.
- 6:59You feel like you just put on five more pounds and now you're
- 7:03spiralling down even more and then you grab more bad food to
- 7:06try to suppress that feeling and it's kind of like any other
- 7:10addiction, right? Like alcohol drugs, you know,
- 7:13whatever else you want to insert in there.
- 7:15It's no different. I would say.
- 7:18Food is probably the number one addiction compared to all the
- 7:23others now that's debatable and That's totally my opinion.
- 7:26But seeing the power it has over people is really staggering.
- 7:32Typically, you're not looked at as a glutton unless you're
- 7:34morbidly obese. Like anybody can point out any
- 7:37other sin at any time and you know, we all deal with something
- 7:41but sometimes there's things that people deal with that are
- 7:44much more evident than other people and food.
- 7:48Yeah, it can fly under the radar.
- 7:49You know, I know I struggled with my weight personally when
- 7:53we first met about six years ago.
- 7:55Go, I consider myself to be in really good shape at the time.
- 7:58You do an amateur bodybuilding but just not really knowing the
- 8:01guidelines of the premises of nutrition, you know, how to
- 8:04detox and how to really take care of my body.
- 8:08And so I know how food can kind of fly under.
- 8:11The radar is like one of these really strong addictive things
- 8:13in our lives. That typically we only want to
- 8:16nip it in the butt. When a doctor is giving us a
- 8:18report like you said, in the beginning, that I'm going to
- 8:20have to live the rest of my life with this this hardship and
- 8:24deprivation. Because of, you know, some
- 8:26sickness that I've acquired from a bad habit, you are certified
- 8:29to be able to give people advice on what nutrients are good for
- 8:36certain situations or age. Groups are just ailments in
- 8:39general and I think this is super important because here in
- 8:43America where a microwave Society, we want everything
- 8:46really quick refuel, you know, we don't want to read the
- 8:49ingredients. We just want to roll up hand,
- 8:51somebody ten bucks, and get those Chick-fil-A nuggets in our
- 8:55laughs as soon as possible and go to town.
- 8:57Tell us a little bit about what you got going on on the
- 9:00nutrition and the things, you know, the number one thing that
- 9:03I would say, I specialize in helping people with is is
- 9:07detoxing like you were saying, you know, we are living in a
- 9:11world now, it's not the most Ideal World As far as the amount
- 9:16of pollutants that were exposed to on a daily basis, whether it
- 9:20be environmental pollutants with heavy metals or Ides things that
- 9:26are sprayed into the air that were breathing in or, you know,
- 9:31our food supply, which is laced with glyphosate and other
- 9:35artificial sweeteners and dies and this and that, I mean, you
- 9:40can go on and on, you know, it's it becomes very challenging for
- 9:45somebody who is grocery shopping and like what do I even look
- 9:49for? Because you have all these
- 9:51marketing ploys on these products now.
- 9:54And A lot of them actually claiming things to be healthy
- 9:59and I get people coming to me all the time like, you know
- 10:03showing me labels of their supplements and certain foods
- 10:07that they got that they're like excited about and then I'm like
- 10:10reading through it and I try not to be like a Debbie Downer with
- 10:14it, but I'm like looking at it. I'm like, man.
- 10:17This is just all marketing and it's just it's a tactic that's
- 10:20used to kind of deceive you into thinking that it's healthy, but
- 10:23it's really not. And so, you know, one really
- 10:27good tip, you know, when you are grocery shopping is kind of
- 10:30staying on the perimeter of the grocery stores.
- 10:33Some many people may have heard that already, but that is
- 10:37something that is kind of universal that I think will
- 10:40really help people when you're at the grocery store.
- 10:44He's you kind of stay more on the perimeter and avoid the
- 10:46aisles as best as you can. A lot of the bad foods, the
- 10:50packaged Foods, the, you know, snack type of foods are going to
- 10:53be more in the aisles. So the more you can avoid that,
- 10:56the better but yeah, really just getting back to the detoxing.
- 11:01It's essential nowadays and it might not have been that way
- 11:05decades ago. But times have changed our world
- 11:08has changed the environment. We live in is much different and
- 11:12not the most ideal as far as being healthy is concerned,
- 11:17detoxing our bodies on a periodic basis.
- 11:20Now, with that being said, I do not advocate for quickfix weight
- 11:26loss schemes and this and that I do, however, advocate for
- 11:31periodic fasting or cleansing. This is something that has been
- 11:35practiced in pretty much. Every religion, all throughout
- 11:39history. We have documentation of people
- 11:43fasting whether it be for physical transformation, or
- 11:46healing, or mental, emotional, spiritual Revelation.
- 11:51They call me, Nick holistic, right?
- 11:53Kind of like my my Instagram tag and kind of my little nickname
- 11:57because I believe in the holistic approach.
- 11:59I believe in the alternative way as far as treating a lot of
- 12:04chronic illnesses and diseases. I believe that there is a time
- 12:08and a place for medicine and for you know, going to the hospital
- 12:13and this and that when its emergency situations, but when
- 12:16it comes to Chronic things, I don't believe that taking
- 12:21certain medications in this and That will benefit you in the
- 12:24long run. I think they are temporary
- 12:26solutions. And I think there is, you know,
- 12:30food is medicine, right? That that is my belief.
- 12:33Wholeheartedly think Epocrates, said that way back, let thy
- 12:37food, be thy medicine, and Medicine be thy food, something
- 12:41along those lines. Yeah, so we do know, from
- 12:46research, and from history that what we're putting into.
- 12:49Our bodies, has a direct effect on our health and well-being.
- 12:53And I think that's just something that is very simple.
- 12:56But yet very overlooked whenever we do get sick.
- 13:00We're kind of running to the the cabinet, the medicine cabinet
- 13:03and hitting up the Tylenol and ibuprofen and Benadryl and nose
- 13:09sprays and this and that. And I I get it.
- 13:12It's something that we've kind of I think just grown up with
- 13:15believing in and it wasn't until I took a different path and took
- 13:21a different belief. And to think, King like, well,
- 13:24if our bodies are uniquely created right, and I believe in
- 13:29God, wholeheartedly, I believe that he designed these bodies
- 13:33that we temporarily dwell in as phenomenal machines.
- 13:38I believe wholeheartedly that we have the ability in our own
- 13:42bodies to be able to heal ourselves through certain
- 13:45diseases. And illnesses.
- 13:48There may be specific scenarios where you may need a lot more
- 13:52assistance. To be able to heal or recover
- 13:55from something. But we see this with the animal
- 13:57kingdom, you know, if an animal is injured or sick, you really
- 14:01don't see them eating, you know, they may go buy a water spring
- 14:07of water or something. Get some water to drink, but
- 14:10it's interesting because when you, when you encounter that
- 14:13watch, what an animal will do if they're sick or not, you know,
- 14:17or injured, they typically will not eat.
- 14:19And that's the Instinct of Bodies can actually heal
- 14:24themselves if we stop pushing food down.
- 14:28So, that's really interesting. You bring that up.
- 14:30I mean, it feels like the general consensus is, we're
- 14:32taught like you said, run to the medicine cabinet.
- 14:35When you get sick or I call your doctor nowadays.
- 14:38We do voice doctor or FaceTime with our doctors because people
- 14:42are even scared to go to the doctors and I look at all of
- 14:46this and just I don't really know too much.
- 14:48Okay. I only know what I know and I'm
- 14:51under the impression that when here, You're sick, right?
- 14:54You're supposed to eat chicken broth.
- 14:56All right, get plenty of rest, you know, some people say take a
- 14:59hot shower hot bath or you know, use Vic's and rub Vicks VapoRub
- 15:05on your back and the knowledge of hey, you shouldn't or should
- 15:09be eating this during during a sickness know.
- 15:13A lot of people are afraid, you know, to just follow blindly
- 15:17with the doctors are saying or what's happening on the news
- 15:19with the mandated jab on the horizon, which I don't think.
- 15:23Legally do that, but people are becoming more conscious of their
- 15:26health. So what would be your advice for
- 15:29somebody who feels flu symptoms flu-like symptoms coming on?
- 15:34Is there, you know, like advice that you would give in the sense
- 15:36like hey stop eating at that point?
- 15:39Or would you just lower the amount of calories that you're
- 15:43taking in and increase the water, you know, that, that's
- 15:46why I decided to get into the juicing World a lot.
- 15:50And why I've been very much. An advocate for it because, you
- 15:54know, the water fasting was Superior like way back talking
- 16:00like decades ago, but now we have other groups of needs that
- 16:05need to be met. We still have to work.
- 16:07We still have to function, people still want to work out
- 16:10and this and that so, you know to take a vacation from life and
- 16:15everything else is next to impossible.
- 16:18So in order to address that group and needs while still
- 16:21benefiting from The cleanse were fasting experience to be able to
- 16:26heal yourself. That's where the juicing comes
- 16:29in, because you're not, you're technically still not really
- 16:32activating your digestive system because it's just liquids.
- 16:37What exactly does that mean for the listeners?
- 16:39I mean, are we talking about, like, pure organic juice?
- 16:42That's been pressed from the physical fruit in your hand, or
- 16:44you talking about buying, you know, Welch's grape.
- 16:47I mean, give us a little bit more insight into what the
- 16:50juicing would look like. If somebody wanted to take that
- 16:53on. You know, having fresh whole
- 16:55fruits and vegetables that you are juicing whether it be by
- 16:59hand or through a, you know, juicing machine versus buying
- 17:05something in the store. Now, there are some store-bought
- 17:07ones that are organic and probably some good quality, but
- 17:12the problem with the store-bought ones is that most
- 17:15of them are pasteurized meaning, there was you no heat involved
- 17:19because they have to maintain the shelf life and If you're
- 17:23doing fresh cold-pressed juices that are organic and and all
- 17:27that, you know, they only have a certain shelf life.
- 17:30Pretty much within like a 326 kind of day window before they
- 17:37start going bad. So yeah, that would be more what
- 17:41I'm talking about. I think it is superior to
- 17:44anything that is bought in store because you're going to retain a
- 17:48lot of the nutrients versus the he pasteurized juice has.
- 17:53Which are going to lose a lot of the nutrition from them.
- 17:56I know the last time we got together for the chosen, 300
- 18:01Outreach here in one of the local cities.
- 18:03You brought me a glass mason jar of a homemade juicy made and it
- 18:07was phenomenal. I think it was last winter.
- 18:10You also I got like 12 or 14 different jars from you, you
- 18:14know, I purchased like, one of your three-day cleanses you call
- 18:18it, which I would agree with the word Superior.
- 18:21This is something that flies under the radar.
- 18:23We really don't know how to attack back against, you know,
- 18:26the sicknesses that have always been on the horizon and yet
- 18:30increasing and and the bad diet is definitely showing throughout
- 18:34these last couple generations with the turn of ingredients
- 18:38used as pesticides with, they're spraying in the air with a
- 18:40putting on the food. Yeah, because you're getting
- 18:43such a high concentration of the vitamins and minerals that are
- 18:47from the fruits and vegetables. So, you know, if you take one 32
- 18:52ounce Juice of say, carrots, apples and beets, for instance.
- 18:58The amount of produce that is in that 32 ounce juice.
- 19:01You could not eat in a day. You might not even be able to
- 19:04eat that amount in two days or three days.
- 19:06I mean, it's like that much walking into one juice.
- 19:10So it's so concentrated that you're basically what I'm saying
- 19:14is and I'll touch on this a little bit as well that when it
- 19:19comes to supplementation, you know, and things like that for
- 19:23Overcoming whether it be coronavirus or any other
- 19:26sickness or illness. The problem that most people
- 19:30aren't aware of is the dosages are so low.
- 19:34And so whatever you're buying like over the counter in the
- 19:39store, and I'm not saying it's Universal, like all of them are
- 19:42bad. I'm just saying that majority of
- 19:45the supplements and things, you're buying over-the-counter
- 19:49are too low of a dose. Especially with where our health
- 19:55is at, as a whole, nowadays, like back in the day when just,
- 19:59you know, Society was just healthier, overall.
- 20:03It may have been okay, but like, in order to get the same
- 20:06nutrition back then as you can today, you would almost need to
- 20:11eat say like four or five apples to get the same amount of
- 20:16nutrition as it was decades ago. The soil quality that is that we
- 20:21have today is nowhere near. Aware, it was decades ago and
- 20:26that's due to a lot of the pesticides and a lot of the
- 20:30farming, you know, industrial farming practices that are now
- 20:33going on today, you know, which is just it's not the most ideal
- 20:37for retaining the nutrients. And, and the plants are not able
- 20:42to draw up the nutrients from the soil, because the soil is
- 20:46not, it's not rich in all of the beneficial bacteria and other
- 20:50things that are that basically would Could keep a satiated for
- 20:54a longer. Like, you know, nowadays, you
- 20:57almost find yourself eating more, or having to eat more
- 21:02because that one thing is not filling you up.
- 21:06And the reason it's not filling you up as you cuz it's depleted
- 21:09of nutrients. Now, how many times do you think
- 21:13that the people may be feeling hungry or famished?
- 21:16Right? They may be feeling the onset of
- 21:18like, wow. I need to get something to eat.
- 21:20Do you think a lot of times we confuse that with actually?
- 21:24Absolutely. Yeah, that's a great point and
- 21:28typically the hunger pains that you feel.
- 21:30It's, it's in the belly, right? It that's, that's where you're
- 21:34feeling the hunger pains and it's, it can be very intense.
- 21:37The reason you're feeling that, that's not necessarily hunger.
- 21:42Like you said, I believe that more times than not.
- 21:45It is that you are dehydrated, because if you go and hit up the
- 21:48water right away, those intense feelings start to subside a
- 21:52little It. But aside from that.
- 21:55It's mainly because our bodies are accustomed to eating at the
- 22:00same times every day, right? Because we're creatures of
- 22:02habit. We love our routines.
- 22:04We love doing the same thing at the same time and that's just
- 22:07kind of how it is. So basically there's this gut
- 22:11brain connection, and anyone who's listening to this, if you
- 22:14want to do a Google research, you know, if you want to take
- 22:18away anything from this, do a little research on the gut brain
- 22:21connection. Cuz it's really fascinating, and
- 22:25more and more studies are being done.
- 22:26Now on just how strong the connection is from the mind to
- 22:31the gut, and how they're always communicating.
- 22:34And, you know, basically what I'm getting at is, if our gut is
- 22:38not, well, we're not going to be well over all, and that's going
- 22:42to affect our brain. Yeah.
- 22:44I just, I just remember reading this 90% of our serotonin
- 22:48production, which is the happy hormone, right?
- 22:51So hormone makes us feel good. Good. 90% of that lies within
- 22:56the gut. So if your gut is compromised or
- 23:00immune system is compromised, which is in your gut.
- 23:04What do you think that's going to do to your brain into your
- 23:06mood? It's going to make it very
- 23:09difficult to be in a good mood to be happy or to stay happy.
- 23:15Now you may have good days and I think we all will.
- 23:18But if it's that compromised and your serotonin production is now
- 23:22plummeting because your guts not well, this is where the whole
- 23:26List approach starts coming into the Forefront.
- 23:29Wow, there's a lot of moving Parts here and one thing affects
- 23:32another and then that affects another.
- 23:34And now, you can start looking at somebody and you can start
- 23:39seeing what is the root cause of this, and more times than that.
- 23:45It's the digestive health for people.
- 23:47It's the immune system is compromised.
- 23:49Which leaves us vulnerable for sicknesses and disease to
- 23:53happen. No, wait, wait, you're My mind's
- 23:57blown right now. I mean, you mean to tell me that
- 23:59our gut health cannot determine our serotonin levels.
- 24:04So like instead of needing an antidepressant.
- 24:06It could be based in diet alone. 100% Oh, wow, 100%.
- 24:12Yeah, the ground shaking over here.
- 24:14Oh my and see, this is why it's so important to talk with
- 24:19people. Especially the people that have
- 24:21the passion, the certification and the desire, right?
- 24:24The drive to deliver this information.
- 24:26Nation and help see the transformation of people's
- 24:29lives. I mean, I've heard so many
- 24:32commercials. I've seen so many so much
- 24:33propaganda. So many gimmicks, entity,
- 24:35whatever you want to call a billboard sales, associates,
- 24:38always trying to sell a weight loss pill, you know,
- 24:40guaranteeing energy spikes guaranteeing serotonin boost,
- 24:44all these different things. I mean, I've even heard other
- 24:46podcasters have paid commercials on the show that with some type
- 24:52of new genius. Joy mood enhancer supplement.
- 24:56I really I think you're getting at the information that we as a
- 24:59people crave because it's like a lost, its lost information and
- 25:04you're a hundred percent, right? When you were bringing up the
- 25:05fact that we didn't need detox Generations ago because our
- 25:09environment wasn't polluted as it is today.
- 25:12We didn't have nuclear power plants.
- 25:14We didn't have chemicals being sprayed in the air.
- 25:16We didn't have pesticides. We didn't have all these crazy,
- 25:19mutated, viruses, and drugs, that people are taken for the
- 25:25for the plethora of different health.
- 25:26Reasons you're right, you know, we are really polluted at the
- 25:31end of the day and the detox is more important now than ever.
- 25:34And I don't think you're insinuating a GNC detox kid.
- 25:38I think we're really talking about getting Whole Foods
- 25:42juicing and, and intermittent fasting, we're leaving the
- 25:46production of food from our body for a period of time.
- 25:48So that were able to self heal. I was looking at, I'm not a big
- 25:53numbers guy, but I was looking at the stats and we get a lot of
- 25:55downloads. From from Pennsylvania in
- 25:57general, and I would really like to see, you know, some people
- 26:01get connected with you through this process.
- 26:04You know, I'd really like to use the platform for whoever would
- 26:07listen and get this far through the episode and say, yeah, you
- 26:10know what, I'm really actually interested in changing something
- 26:15today, and it's just one step at a time.
- 26:17It's not by the flip of a finger that your life is going to be
- 26:20changing. Your house.
- 26:21Going to get better, but making an effort, I think is key.
- 26:25You've helped me personally. Only through a lot.
- 26:27Okay, when we first met many years ago at this point, I was
- 26:31working out. You were magazine cover shape
- 26:34and I was doing this bulk process, you know, I was like a
- 26:3752 inch chest in a 36-inch waist.
- 26:40I was doing powerlifting and bulking up and cutting down and
- 26:45just doing my little routine there.
- 26:46And I was really good with movement being in my early
- 26:49twenties at the time. And I was really strong, you
- 26:52know, I had weighed like 230 pounds.
- 26:54I could bench about 400 pounds. For a good solid rap, I'm gonna
- 26:58throw these weights around but how important is movement and
- 27:00exercise. Let's touch on these topics
- 27:03right now you cover healthy movement.
- 27:05Obviously, we already discussed nutrition what that can look
- 27:08like the Avenues that runs to in accordance with our overall
- 27:11health, but let's talk now about physical movement.
- 27:14How important is it? That our bodies are a well-oiled
- 27:17machine. What do you recommend for?
- 27:19Somebody just starting out? Yeah.
- 27:20So typically, you know, I will evaluate where somebody is at.
- 27:26Because I get people coming to me from all different
- 27:30backgrounds, and fitness levels. Some are coming, literally right
- 27:35off the couch others, you know, they've been in the the fitness
- 27:39arena for some time and they just need a little boost or
- 27:43training for a Spartan Race. So, you know, I really just try
- 27:47to feel out and evaluate with some testing and whatnot, just
- 27:51to see where everyone's at. And then, you know, just
- 27:55basically set up. Tailored plan and goals, that
- 27:59can, you know, kind of walk them down the path of becoming a
- 28:03better version of themselves. I think that's ideally what most
- 28:07people want, you know, aside from training for a specific
- 28:10thing. I think the majority of the
- 28:13requests that I get. It's, you know, why do want to
- 28:16lose weight, but I just want to feel good.
- 28:18I want to just feel better, just overall health and wellness.
- 28:22And, you know, I would say, Aside from getting a trainer or
- 28:28professional to walk, you down that path.
- 28:30The very thing that you can start doing immediately is just
- 28:33walking. I think that is the simplest way
- 28:38to move your body to exercise and something that you could
- 28:43really do every single day without it, really impacting you
- 28:47in a negative way, unless you have really bad joints.
- 28:51And, you know, then I can see maybe an alternative approach to
- 28:54that, but But just keeping it very simple.
- 28:58If you really have no experience whatsoever.
- 29:01Go for a walk every day, you know, Stars slow do one, one lap
- 29:05around the block, you know, start there and then just build
- 29:09just little by little, it's more about consistency.
- 29:13I preached that more with my clients more about that than,
- 29:16probably anything else because it's kind of that old adage.
- 29:21If you don't use it, you lose it.
- 29:22Type thing. It's very, very real.
- 29:26When it comes to health and wellness, if you're not moving
- 29:30your body every day, if you're very sedentary, that's going to
- 29:34number one affect your mood because we know the correlation
- 29:38to brain health and moving your body, getting a sweat going, you
- 29:43know, every day doesn't have to be anything crazy, you know, but
- 29:46just getting outside, you know, going for a walk going for a
- 29:49hike going for a run or bike ride, whatever it is, but it's
- 29:53more about doing it. Everyday it again.
- 29:57Keep it simple, you know, you don't have to reinvent the wheel
- 30:00with it. There's plenty of activities,
- 30:01you can do. It's amazing to just see like
- 30:04because like for me like when I'm thinking about how I need to
- 30:07get healthier, it can be a little frantic for me in my
- 30:10thought process that where I'm trying to get information from
- 30:13but hearing it from you and just knowing your desire to help
- 30:16people in authority and with character and with compassion
- 30:19can just deliver information confidently to people and I'm
- 30:24just really happy. This episode is going to reach
- 30:27the right listeners, that they're going to be able to get
- 30:29some advice and and be encouraged.
- 30:32You know, that they're not alone in the process of being sick or
- 30:35being out of shape that it's only a temporary part of life.
- 30:39And that change is very possible and we don't have to feel stuck
- 30:43and whatever situation we think we're in.
- 30:46Yeah, there's absolutely Solutions and just touching on
- 30:48what you said earlier about like just our society being able to
- 30:52more of like a microwave type of society, you know, it can be a
- 30:55Challenge. It can be a challenge, you know,
- 30:58bringing awareness to health and wellness and giving people
- 31:02Solutions as to what they can do today, you know, not down the
- 31:06road, but what you can do right now and it's hard because, you
- 31:10know, change is never easy. And, you know, there has to be
- 31:14resistance, there has to be work.
- 31:16Put into it in order for you to see the results that you're
- 31:19looking for. I've always been an advocate for
- 31:22being a hard worker earning, you know, the Bolts and everything
- 31:26like that. Nowadays, we a lot of times like
- 31:30just just one things handed to us and I was just talking with,
- 31:35I don't know if Mike will be listen is but I was talking with
- 31:38Mike at church and you know, he was saying, you know, yeah been
- 31:43kind of eating bad, a little bit bad lately and this and that and
- 31:46I was just like, just kind of hit him with it.
- 31:48Like hey, man, if you value yourself, you will make time to
- 31:53prepare food, do meal prepping. Or juicing for the week or like,
- 31:57people don't realize. Like they may look at me and
- 32:00think I'm some radical dude. That's just like, you know,
- 32:03crazy fit and this and that. But like, they don't understand
- 32:06the behind-the-scenes, like, what I'm doing.
- 32:09And what I'm building, how I value my body, that I dwell in,
- 32:13I'll be the first one to tell you, I am far from perfect when
- 32:17it comes to health and fitness. I'm very much on the path to
- 32:20becoming better every day, but I, I made it a priority.
- 32:25Any number one priority to take care of myself my health and
- 32:30well-being because if I don't have that, what good am I?
- 32:33What good am I to anybody else? My family, my friends, my
- 32:36co-workers, what good am I if my health is plummeting and
- 32:40deteriorating because of what I'm putting into my body.
- 32:43I am becoming more of a liability to society than an
- 32:46asset. At that point.
- 32:47That's just my opinion. That's just my belief on it.
- 32:50I value myself and because I value myself, I will do whatever
- 32:55necessary. Caesarea whatever time, I need
- 32:57to spend. Even if I'm dead tired, even if
- 32:59I just put in 12 hours of work, and I'm dead tired.
- 33:03I will still make time to prepare a healthy meal, or grab
- 33:10some, some fresh cold pressed juice or this that or go for a
- 33:14trail run if it's like getting late and I haven't worked out
- 33:17yet today. Those are sacrifices that need
- 33:21to be made if you want to better yourself if you want to see the
- 33:24results there. Has to be a price to be paid.
- 33:27There has to be sacrificed. It's funny because we've rushed
- 33:30through life. I remember when I was 16 being
- 33:32like, man. I can't wait to be 25 and get
- 33:34set up right move just like rush through life and try to get to
- 33:38be successful, and get that money in a lot of the times.
- 33:41We see, people get to that like 50 to 60 year old marker and
- 33:46they Plateau with their health and start getting really sick
- 33:49and, and all that money and all that.
- 33:52There's dreams. They were chasing.
- 33:53You know, they all just fade away because This is like the
- 33:55last 25 years. You've been chasing the almighty
- 33:59dollar and now you're spending every dollar.
- 34:01You got to try to reserve a little bit more time to enjoy
- 34:05life. So we definitely have it
- 34:06backwards as a society. How we view things.
- 34:10This is a helpful episode for me, even though we talk very
- 34:13often and and I know what you do.
- 34:15And I know, I even get glimmers of the behind-the-scenes effort
- 34:19that you put into this lifestyle that you live and dedication of
- 34:24helping other people. And I just think it really
- 34:26should be. We're getting together.
- 34:28We're talking about our health what we're consuming, you know,
- 34:32giving each other advice and you know, big believer in promoting
- 34:35local business, local Mom, Pop. You name it Mom, Pop Church,
- 34:39Mom? Pop Delhi, Mom Pop Jim's, right?
- 34:42So I think that that's a really awesome thing to be able to do
- 34:45is just use whatever platform God gives us to lift each other
- 34:48up, Nick launches off where people can find you.
- 34:52Yeah, so so I'm co-owner of United.
- 34:55Finish with my brother Justin. We're on Instagram.
- 34:58Yeah. United fit, Facebook.
- 35:01Is that United fit as well? We also have our website set up
- 35:04United fitness.com. It's spelled with a Y OU because
- 35:08it starts with you. That's our tag line.
- 35:10You know, where they're, I also have my nutrition website setup
- 35:14that I just recently set up and that's Nick holistic.com and I
- 35:19see khol isti si.com. Nick holistic, check out the
- 35:25Site, and I'm also on Instagram at Nick holistic as well.
- 35:29So those are all the platforms you can find me on.
- 35:31And yeah, I'm just, I'm really passionate about health and
- 35:34wellness and just really want to see positive change in the world
- 35:39for a health movement. Especially, knowing that we have
- 35:42a lot of things coming against us.
- 35:44Don't let anybody force you into anything.
- 35:47Do the research, make the decision for yourself.
- 35:49But know that there are solutions to prevent sickness if
- 35:53you are afraid. Or you know intimidated by
- 35:58getting a certain viruses are so that you can build your immune
- 36:01system. Strong immunity will be able to
- 36:04fight off a lot of those sicknesses.
- 36:06In my opinion. You guys heard it right from the
- 36:09man himself. I hope you enjoyed this one
- 36:12coming to you from Southeastern, Pennsylvania.
- 36:14God Bless America. I'm good night.
- 36:17Came to I'm solidify. See your bison?
- 36:21Music! Grew solidified.

- 36:47My resume, I ain't gotta brag on its feet.
- 36:50Nice and the Beast and I dabbed on it.
- 36:53Treat it like a punching bag. How much a bond it?
- 36:55Yeah, serve the king. No, I'm a brag on it.
- 36:58A lot of people rapping these days, but they lost.
- 37:01I ain't choose music. Music shows me a course on
- 37:04family back bit, but I'm cool. Now, forgiveness is everything.
- 37:08That's what I learned now, headed to the top and I'm
- 37:11staying true to him. I try to live my life every day
- 37:14without sin. A lot of snakes in the yard, but
- 37:16I cut him off. Try to be nice to them, but they
- 37:19think I'm soft, never happened. But I know where I came from.
- 37:23I can't go backwards only through it head.
- 37:26That's why I trust in the process.
- 37:27So, be here. It's not where you're at is, who
- 37:30you notice what? I've learned.
- 37:31I know, I used to get high used to blow.
- 37:33Sure. Now, I'm sober and I'm stronger
- 37:35than I ever been. If it ain't about business.
- 37:38It's irrelevant. I took the king first and you
- 37:41know, I'm going in riding through the city.
- 37:43No, I'm solidified. And I serve the king to, I'm
- 37:47solidify. If I see you're about to music
- 37:49group solidified, I'm a ride said it.
- 37:52And I'm solidified riding through the city.

- 37:57I'm solidified. See you about your musical.
- 38:00Solidified. I'm gonna watch it and not
- 38:03solidified. I'm solidified, because I were
- 38:06called to. Let's hit the studio.
- 38:08What, what you trying to do? I keep a small circle, but I
- 38:11know a lot of dudes, you can't call me ignorant and I'm not
- 38:15rude. I just gotta be honest.
- 38:17I'm away. I'm solidified.
- 38:19I'm a son of the king. That's why I gotta stand strong
- 38:22and I gotta win. It's time to take, go.
- 38:25Because, you know, we going in, we share the truth to the back
- 38:28block every day where they like to get high school, girl, Mary
- 38:31Jane, the gospel gotta be shared.
- 38:33That's what Jesus said, what you disciples and we gotta go
- 38:36everywhere. I think a worldwide tours,
- 38:39Brewing, I can feel it. The world needs to hear this
- 38:41music and they gotta hear it. I stand on the truth.
- 38:44Every track. They can hear it.
- 38:46Brother Jared, solidify. By get it here.
- 38:48I gotta hit him hard. Every time that I speak my
- 38:51Facebook and Instagram here. So I got a lot of support and in
- 38:56love the kid, but the singled out and we won't hit the
- 38:59state's. I be in Delaware, to whipping
- 39:01different place, wrap him real easy, Bucky still keeping faith
- 39:05Chang hanging up my neck, and it ain't fake.
- 39:08I'm solidify. So, you know, we going for
- 39:11riding through the city. No, I'm solidified.
- 39:13And I serve the king to. I'm solidify.
