- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello there, welcome to the net, Paltea.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hi, this is nicka Ostasium, lead editor and writer on
- 0:09Speaker 2: Mall shadow Lord. And you're listening to aggressive negotiations.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Well, hello, and welcome to aggressive negotiations. That little slice
- 0:23Speaker 3: of Star Wars sports heaven you can't find anywhere else,
- 0:27Speaker 3: and coming at you live from the Coruscant Sports Bar
- 0:30Speaker 3: down under is none other than one of your hosts,
- 0:34Speaker 3: Matthew Rushing, and with me as he is every single
- 0:37Speaker 3: week is Star Wars sports Officionado Jedi Master John Mills. John,
- 0:44Speaker 3: what are you sports betting on today?
- 0:46Speaker 4: Well, man, I'm gonna toss it over to the other
- 0:48Speaker 4: screen over there where a pod racer has broken through
- 0:49Speaker 4: the walls and oh my gosh, he's on a boat
- 0:51Speaker 4: of Cainfield. Oh my gosh, that pod racers taking it off.
- 0:53Speaker 4: He's got the ball, he's gonna go in and he's
- 0:54Speaker 4: gonna score. He's gonna score. First time ever a pod
- 0:57Speaker 4: has scored. Go yes, So you know, I'm betting heavily
- 1:04Speaker 4: right now on the weird tech mobil type of football
- 1:08Speaker 4: thing that we saw in the bar there. Don't know
- 1:10Speaker 4: what it's called. Some people think I'm a bad fan
- 1:13Speaker 4: because of that.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I don't. I think I'm on a Little Person ball
- 1:16Speaker 2: or something. I don't.
- 1:17Speaker 4: You know what, I want to say, it's tech Moobil
- 1:19Speaker 4: until you correct me mob tech Mobil from the old
- 1:23Speaker 4: eight bit Nintendo days. That's exactly what it seemed like
- 1:26Speaker 4: to me. And I'm gonna go with that. I'm going
- 1:28Speaker 4: to say it's tech Mobile. I mean, you know, why not.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Let's let's have a universe crossover right here. Let's Nintendo
- 1:35Speaker 4: Star Wars crossover, cinematic universe winner right there.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Well before we dive into the show, thanks everyone for
- 1:43Speaker 1: joining us. We're really appreciate it. So glad you're listening.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Of course, wherever you're listening, just subscribe so you'll get
- 1:48Speaker 1: our episodes as soon as they come out. And of
- 1:51Speaker 1: course you could hit us up with a start rating
- 1:52Speaker 1: review over on those platforms like Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
- 1:57Speaker 1: That really does help people find the show and helps
- 1:59Speaker 1: us grow. Share us with your friends, tell your friends.
- 2:02Speaker 1: If you've got friends who like Star Wars, let them know.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You can also do that on social media where you
- 2:07Speaker 1: can follow us and interact with us on ex Twitter
- 2:09Speaker 1: at the Jedi Masters. We're on Instagram with the entire
- 2:12Speaker 1: network at the nerd Party. You can find us online
- 2:15Speaker 1: at the nerd party dot com, as well as on
- 2:17Speaker 1: Facebook at Facebook dot com, Slash, the nerd Party, and
- 2:20Speaker 1: so many other social platforms that I can't even keep
- 2:23Speaker 1: track up. But John, so we were talking about behind
- 2:26Speaker 1: the scenes, and as we're recording, the US has just
- 2:30Speaker 1: crashed out of the World Cup and epic you know,
- 2:34Speaker 1: epic epic form. Anyway, that's not important. What's important crit
- 2:39Speaker 1: What's important, John, is this idea about sports and Star Wars.
- 2:43Speaker 1: And you brought up something that was interesting before we
- 2:47Speaker 1: started recording her, like what is the unifying sports.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Of Star Wars?
- 2:52Speaker 1: Like? Is that even a possibility? And so first I
- 2:56Speaker 1: wanted to ask you, is that a possibility with so
- 3:00Speaker 1: many different aliens and all of them having so many
- 3:04Speaker 1: different genetic gifts that other aliens don't have? Right? You know,
- 3:08Speaker 1: you play a sport against a different species that you
- 3:15Speaker 1: know it could run faster, stronger, and just because genetically
- 3:19Speaker 1: as they're created they are that way. I mean, what
- 3:21Speaker 1: could even possibly be a unifying sport with all those differences?
- 3:27Speaker 4: We've seen pit fighting, Let's remember that just recently in
- 3:29Speaker 4: the Mandalorian and Grogu We've seen pit fighting.
- 3:32Speaker 2: We know that happens.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Yep, We've seen and so like you know, in all honesty,
- 3:36Speaker 4: who could really go up against Rada?
- 3:38Speaker 2: Well, you had to be wearing bestcar apparently to cope.
- 3:40Speaker 4: Against Rata because he was just going to kick this
- 3:42Speaker 4: not out of everybody else crush him. And you know,
- 3:47Speaker 4: could there be a unifying sport? So I'm going to
- 3:50Speaker 4: approach it from the idea that there's not going to
- 3:54Speaker 4: be a possibility for huts and ze to compete in
- 4:01Speaker 4: the same sport too frequently. Okay, it's gonna be a
- 4:04Speaker 4: very rare sort of circumstance. So I'm scoping it down
- 4:09Speaker 4: from everybody can play, because there there's got to be
- 4:13Speaker 4: a sport that everybody's crazy for that isn't something that
- 4:18Speaker 4: literally every species can play. Bipedal humanoids dominate the galaxy
- 4:22Speaker 4: from what we can see. Yes, you have opoansisses.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean what about Doug site.
- 4:32Speaker 4: No, See that's a great point, because a Doug using
- 4:35Speaker 4: his feet would be using hands and that can't possibly
- 4:39Speaker 4: be a thing because yeah, your whole body, but their
- 4:43Speaker 4: whole body isn't even set for that, Like they're not
- 4:47Speaker 4: built right, So in a sense, it makes sense why
- 4:51Speaker 4: pod racing would be so incredibly popular. It's because that
- 4:56Speaker 4: is something that has an entry point where the most
- 4:59Speaker 4: species can perform, because you can tailor whatever vehicle you're
- 5:05Speaker 4: flying driving to your species. Yeah, four arms, great, you
- 5:09Speaker 4: have four sets of controls. You have two arms, great,
- 5:11Speaker 4: you have two sets of controls. Humans can't participate except
- 5:16Speaker 4: for Anakin. Make them super special, right, But that doesn't
- 5:19Speaker 4: slow anything down, No pun intended. But I don't know
- 5:23Speaker 4: is pod racing really sufficient? It's racing, Racing's really cool,
- 5:28Speaker 4: it's awesome, But is that really a like a sport
- 5:31Speaker 4: that could unify everybody? Is that something that you think
- 5:35Speaker 4: would be, you know, something that everybody could come around,
- 5:38Speaker 4: or would have to be something that involves some sort
- 5:40Speaker 4: of like physical individual body movement.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I mean, it's a good question because you have things
- 5:49Speaker 1: like you know, we saw in Mall Shadow Lord, You've
- 5:55Speaker 1: got Botkin, right, which is kind of this interesting lacrosse
- 5:59Speaker 1: type and unfortunately we don't actually get to see what
- 6:03Speaker 1: that looks like. They don't show us the game, but
- 6:06Speaker 1: we also know that it's existed for a long time
- 6:09Speaker 1: because you know, Anakin had the handle in his room
- 6:12Speaker 1: and so therefore it had made its way out to Tattoine.
- 6:16Speaker 2: And if it's made its.
- 6:17Speaker 1: You know self, on the planet that the center of
- 6:21Speaker 1: the universe as farthest from that seems like a good
- 6:25Speaker 1: place to start as a possible uniter for bipedal Star
- 6:31Speaker 1: Wars aliens to be able to play together. You know
- 6:35Speaker 1: how Authorians play that game, you know, next to say Rhodians,
- 6:40Speaker 1: I'm not really sure, you know, as an Authorians trying
- 6:44Speaker 1: to throw that ball or whatever it is they throw,
- 6:47Speaker 1: I feel like that would be really difficult with the
- 6:49Speaker 1: hammerhead shape of their face.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Well, it would also be height differentials would come in.
- 6:54Speaker 4: I mean, people might think we're being funny, but like
- 6:56Speaker 4: height differentials have to come into play because the goal
- 6:59Speaker 4: has to be a certain it has to be something
- 7:01Speaker 4: that everybody can access unless the goal varies in height,
- 7:05Speaker 4: you know, goes up and down. But then the goalie
- 7:07Speaker 4: job becomes impossible at that point and you can't do
- 7:12Speaker 4: like a quidditch type thing where it's like, you know,
- 7:15Speaker 4: you have the pludger and the the snitch and everything
- 7:18Speaker 4: like that. If you're looking at that, I think that
- 7:24Speaker 4: Bodekin's a good contender because of the fact that from
- 7:28Speaker 4: what we can see, it appears similar to a soccer pitch.
- 7:31Speaker 4: The field lacrosse is a fairly accessible type of game
- 7:37Speaker 4: to play regardless of your height. So an Ithorian might
- 7:42Speaker 4: have an advantage getting down the field, but then it
- 7:45Speaker 4: could be tougher for them to get into the goal,
- 7:48Speaker 4: whereas somebody who's more goal height has an easier time
- 7:51Speaker 4: getting into the goal, but they can't they have more
- 7:52Speaker 4: trouble out running an Ethorian. It would become really I
- 7:57Speaker 4: think if there's a sport iteration, it would have to
- 8:03Speaker 4: be something that is really super above board. I mean,
- 8:07Speaker 4: I would imagine the rules committee involved in that would
- 8:09Speaker 4: have to be insane in terms of what constitutes a
- 8:13Speaker 4: player who's allowed to play versus what is you know,
- 8:18Speaker 4: maybe you know, maybe plow Kun. Something in his atmospheric
- 8:23Speaker 4: mixture is considered a you'll take out the Jedi cart,
- 8:28Speaker 4: right exactly? Yeah, it's a ped you know, like that
- 8:30Speaker 4: sort of how do you correct for that?
- 8:32Speaker 2: So how do you blood test? Maybe that's how the
- 8:34Speaker 2: Jedi find it.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Like you send your kid off, you're six month old
- 8:37Speaker 4: off to see if they can play Bodekin and they
- 8:40Speaker 4: do the blood tests to see what your your balance
- 8:42Speaker 4: is like in the Jedi are saying there was like, hey,
- 8:44Speaker 4: could you also check from Metachlori instant really quick? Help
- 8:46Speaker 4: us out here? It seems like a good way, But
- 8:49Speaker 4: I uh see, I'm just I mean, am I too
- 8:54Speaker 4: locked into a human mindset of I want to see
- 8:57Speaker 4: something on a field with people running around?
- 9:00Speaker 1: Is that?
- 9:00Speaker 2: Am I not thinking big enough for a galactic scale game?
- 9:08Speaker 1: Yeah? That's interesting, Like it just kind of make you
- 9:11Speaker 1: wonder too when you think about uh force users, right,
- 9:16Speaker 1: and you know what how does that impact things like
- 9:20Speaker 1: do force users have their own game? Like do the
- 9:22Speaker 1: Jedi have a game that they play to help hone
- 9:27Speaker 1: force ability?
- 9:28Speaker 2: Right?
- 9:28Speaker 1: When it comes to uh you think about the telekinesis
- 9:33Speaker 1: ac spect and those type of things. You know, is
- 9:36Speaker 1: there some sort of activity or sports that happens at
- 9:43Speaker 1: the Jedi temple?
- 9:45Speaker 4: You know?
- 9:46Speaker 1: Are the kids you know put into you know houses
- 9:50Speaker 1: like in Harry Potter. You know, I feel like some
- 9:53Speaker 1: books have kind of.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Like yeah they they they said, yes they have that
- 10:00Speaker 4: that there were there were different and you're referred to
- 10:02Speaker 4: by it like your clan or something like that.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, uh and so.
- 10:07Speaker 1: That that to me, you know, would would create the
- 10:12Speaker 1: the fun rivalry you know behind uh those clans you know.
- 10:19Speaker 1: But also again the whole thing is utilized is ways
- 10:23Speaker 1: in which to teach a Jedi how to use their
- 10:26Speaker 1: force abilities, uh in quick thinking situations.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Right.
- 10:30Speaker 1: You know, Jedi always have to be adapt to sensing things,
- 10:36Speaker 1: you know, and so it seems like to me some
- 10:39Speaker 1: sort of sport for the Jedi uh to help them
- 10:43Speaker 1: hone those skills of being able to sense in this
- 10:47Speaker 1: in this sense for lightsabers, right, we know that part
- 10:51Speaker 1: of that is that it's slowing down time and they're
- 10:53Speaker 1: able to anticipate what's going to happen before it happens,
- 10:56Speaker 1: which is why lightsabers can block, you know, blaster bolts,
- 10:59Speaker 1: And so does this sport in some way help them
- 11:03Speaker 1: be able to hone those skills? So once they create
- 11:07Speaker 1: their lightsaber and then begin lightsaber training, they already have
- 11:11Speaker 1: some of the skills embedded in them that help them
- 11:16Speaker 1: to be able to do those things. To me, that
- 11:18Speaker 1: seems like something that would really make sense in the
- 11:21Speaker 1: Jedi Temple.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Again, you're coming down on the idea of Bodkin because
- 11:26Speaker 4: since we know it has that cup tepe thing, there
- 11:28Speaker 4: has to be some sort of thing that's being passed around,
- 11:31Speaker 4: and reflexes and anticipation and reaction time become a big thing.
- 11:37Speaker 4: They could also test who's mostly I mean, if you
- 11:40Speaker 4: think about it, using a sport like you're talking about
- 11:43Speaker 4: with the Jedi would be a great way to determine
- 11:46Speaker 4: who's going to become a pot of one, who's going
- 11:48Speaker 4: to go off to.
- 11:48Speaker 2: The agriculture core.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Maybe obi Wan didn't do particularly well, because we know
- 11:53Speaker 4: from his history. It's never established on screen, but I
- 11:55Speaker 4: think this is still in canon right that Obi Wan
- 11:58Speaker 4: was off to the Agricore when Qui Gon pulled him out,
- 12:02Speaker 4: like it looked like Obi Wan wasn't going to become
- 12:04Speaker 4: a Jedi at a certain point. That's my recollection of
- 12:08Speaker 4: his history at this point, and Qui Gon saw something
- 12:11Speaker 4: in him that the Council didn't and brought him out
- 12:15Speaker 4: of there and made him his potawan. Of course, that
- 12:19Speaker 4: I think is probably still from the continuity that acknowledges Xanatos,
- 12:22Speaker 4: But I don't think there's anything in Disney continuity that
- 12:24Speaker 4: has overridden that yet. Like that, the Jedi Apprentice series
- 12:30Speaker 4: still can coexist with current continuity, can't it.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I think as we read through that there were very
- 12:35Speaker 1: few things that you know, really bucked against what we've
- 12:40Speaker 1: seen from the rest of Star Wars, you know, in Disney,
- 12:44Speaker 1: and so there is not that much that I think,
- 12:48Speaker 1: you know, the only thing I think that that isn't
- 12:51Speaker 1: there ish And of course, yeah, gosh, they still need
- 12:54Speaker 1: to do this story. And I don't know why they
- 12:56Speaker 1: haven't give us the Obi Wan and Seteene story. Somebody
- 13:01Speaker 1: either write that book or do like an animated movie
- 13:06Speaker 1: of the week with that story, because my goodness, that's
- 13:11Speaker 1: such a pivotal story for the character and deserves to
- 13:14Speaker 1: be told in some form, and in all honesty, it's
- 13:18Speaker 1: either an adult novel I think to really do it justice,
- 13:22Speaker 1: or it needs to be just an animated you know,
- 13:26Speaker 1: like you know, we do the Tales of the Jedi
- 13:29Speaker 1: or whatever, but it just have it be Tale of
- 13:33Speaker 1: a Jedi and it's like five episodes or six episodes,
- 13:38Speaker 1: and it's the whole story of you know, Obi Wan
- 13:42Speaker 1: and Qui Gon. It's a teen being on the run
- 13:44Speaker 1: for a year, which we know that are.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Right, see, I'd love that.
- 13:47Speaker 4: I'd also love the Tales of Obi Wan series where
- 13:51Speaker 4: it's devoted to the quiet moments between the moments we know,
- 13:55Speaker 4: so we know he chose to leave Seteen. I'd love
- 13:57Speaker 4: to see a little fifteen minute episode of his discussion
- 14:00Speaker 4: with Qui Gon after he chose to remain with the
- 14:03Speaker 4: Jedi and Qui Gon counseling him through it and saying,
- 14:06Speaker 4: your grief is very real. You feel like I could, well,
- 14:09Speaker 4: I could see it, I can see it in my
- 14:11Speaker 4: head right now. And again, this all springs from the
- 14:16Speaker 4: idea that there has to be something for the kids
- 14:19Speaker 4: to be doing, like, you know, to vet their skills,
- 14:23Speaker 4: help them warm up toward lightsaber training. Playing a sport
- 14:29Speaker 4: also is supposed to help you deal with And this
- 14:32Speaker 4: is how I'll bring it back from the Obi Wan thing.
- 14:34Speaker 4: You're just saying, being brought up playing a sport prepares
- 14:38Speaker 4: you for loss and figuring out how to be gracious
- 14:44Speaker 4: in victory and defeat and those sorts of things. And
- 14:47Speaker 4: so I think it would be very key. Yeah, and
- 14:49Speaker 4: you could even you could even flip that around and
- 14:51Speaker 4: magnify it. Anakin never was used today idea of loss
- 14:56Speaker 4: until he started losing things, and had he grown up
- 15:01Speaker 4: as a Jedi, you could say, oh, well, you know,
- 15:03Speaker 4: the Jedi kids are sort of like inculcated from youth
- 15:06Speaker 4: playing the sport. But galactically, I think there would like
- 15:11Speaker 4: there would have to be something that would be fun.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Bodekin is the closest I've seen. Is there a sport
- 15:18Speaker 4: I'm overlooking that we've seen in Star Wars that that
- 15:22Speaker 4: would fit this bill of something people could gamble on,
- 15:25Speaker 4: because you got to have gambling, something that people could
- 15:28Speaker 4: passionately cheer for, something that people would identify with outside
- 15:33Speaker 4: of the laundry like in the NFL, right, because you
- 15:36Speaker 4: know that's the old that's the joke now is in
- 15:38Speaker 4: the NFL you're cheering for laundry because you got free
- 15:41Speaker 4: agency and everything like that. What could possibly tie in,
- 15:45Speaker 4: Like a planet would send a team to play in
- 15:50Speaker 4: a galactic tournament that would occur every x number, Like
- 15:54Speaker 4: how how often would you have a tournament? Would you
- 15:56Speaker 4: make it every five galactic years, every ten galactic years?
- 15:59Speaker 4: What would makes sense? Because species mature at different rates
- 16:02Speaker 4: that I think.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I think the what you just asked is the thing
- 16:08Speaker 1: that makes this really difficult. You know, when we think
- 16:11Speaker 1: of there being an overarching sport across the galaxy, right,
- 16:16Speaker 1: and this is where I could see they're actually just
- 16:20Speaker 1: being sports for different types of beings, right, so that
- 16:26Speaker 1: humanoid beings there are specific sports that that they play
- 16:31Speaker 1: across the galaxy. Uh, and not even just humanoids, but
- 16:34Speaker 1: like human beings you know, as we know them because
- 16:39Speaker 1: they're so because they're so prevalent in the Star Wars galaxy,
- 16:45Speaker 1: it might make sense that there is a desire for
- 16:49Speaker 1: even people of other species right to watch the games.
- 16:52Speaker 1: And like you said, it's a part of fan culture.
- 16:55Speaker 1: You know. You know, you can't play the game, is
- 16:57Speaker 1: it like the person on the field, but you know,
- 16:59Speaker 1: you and enjoy watching it because it's it's it's fun.
- 17:03Speaker 1: But like you said, you know, there's the other side
- 17:05Speaker 1: where it can be the people who really enjoy betting
- 17:09Speaker 1: on games, you know. And so that you know, I mean,
- 17:12Speaker 1: what what you think of like Natolins or are water
- 17:16Speaker 1: species like that? You know, would water polo type of
- 17:19Speaker 1: game be something that they might play, you know, and
- 17:23Speaker 1: so you think of like them or the the Aqualish
- 17:28Speaker 1: or or the Moncals, you know, do they have games
- 17:33Speaker 1: of that nature where you play underwater? You know? So
- 17:36Speaker 1: I think all of these different areas you could see
- 17:40Speaker 1: them having their own niches, so that you could be
- 17:44Speaker 1: a fan of that sport even as like say a
- 17:46Speaker 1: humanoid like you and I uh and like say Lea
- 17:51Speaker 1: or Luke, they can't play the underwater game right in
- 17:56Speaker 1: the way that those underwater species could. But it doesn't
- 17:59Speaker 1: make it any less exciting to watch and root for
- 18:02Speaker 1: our team, right.
- 18:05Speaker 2: That's that's a really that's a good point.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Like maybe on a galactic scale, people just accept that
- 18:11Speaker 4: they're going to cheer for what, you know, sector by
- 18:14Speaker 4: sector or a planet by planet, and what planets can play.
- 18:16Speaker 4: There'll be different federations, yeah, for them and everything like that.
- 18:20Speaker 4: I like that idea. I think that I think that works.
- 18:22Speaker 4: It also, I mean, honestly would speak to the fact
- 18:25Speaker 4: that you would have to have not have to have,
- 18:28Speaker 4: but you would have sports like that techmobile looking thing
- 18:32Speaker 4: that would be basically droid's playing American football that we
- 18:35Speaker 4: saw in the sports bar. So you'd have droid leagues too,
- 18:38Speaker 4: where that would be. That would be very interesting, I think,
- 18:42Speaker 4: because the droid leagues are you know, that's kind of
- 18:45Speaker 4: a weird, dicey sort of thing, especially in a galaxy
- 18:47Speaker 4: that's turned us back on. Like, there's an interesting question
- 18:50Speaker 4: you have a droid league for a sport, and then
- 18:53Speaker 4: after the Clone Wars people are like, nah, droid leagues
- 18:57Speaker 4: are like that could be even an interesting book or
- 19:00Speaker 4: series or something like that that they could explore where
- 19:02Speaker 4: they could be like, hey, nobody watches this anymore because
- 19:05Speaker 4: everybody's biased against droids, and you could sort of like
- 19:09Speaker 4: have a a couple of larger issues explored from a
- 19:13Speaker 4: you know, a human perspective and something like that. I mean,
- 19:15Speaker 4: I think the possibilities are, as usual with Star Wars endless,
- 19:21Speaker 4: But what's truly endless are the ways that people can
- 19:24Speaker 4: engage with you online, Matt. So why don't you give
- 19:27Speaker 4: them the way that they can engage with you so
- 19:30Speaker 4: that we can continue this discussion online.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Well, you know, if you do want to follow me
- 19:35Speaker 1: and see what sports I might be into, you can
- 19:37Speaker 1: find me all over social media under the name Matt
- 19:39Speaker 1: Rushing zero two. Of course, here on the network, you
- 19:41Speaker 1: can also find me talking about every single chapter of
- 19:44Speaker 1: the Harry Potter series, one chapter of Time on owl
- 19:46Speaker 1: Post and then over on the TFM network up on
- 19:49Speaker 1: a bunch of shows where we talk about Star Trek
- 19:52Speaker 1: and you know, they have some of their own sports
- 19:55Speaker 1: baseball is even still a popular sport in that time period.
- 19:59Speaker 1: But and also find me in the six or two club.
- 20:01Speaker 1: We're talking everything other than sports ball because we've got
- 20:05Speaker 1: lots of franchises that we love talking about, and John's
- 20:08Speaker 1: frequent guest over there. But John, you know, if people
- 20:11Speaker 1: wanted to catch up with you and see how averse
- 20:15Speaker 1: to sports ball you are, where could people find you?
- 20:19Speaker 2: Well, gosh, man, you can find me.
- 20:20Speaker 4: I might be a verse to sports ball, but I'm
- 20:22Speaker 4: sure betting on it at every possible chance I can
- 20:25Speaker 4: because I want to make more Kessel coin in the world.
- 20:28Speaker 4: You can find me as Kessel Junkie on your social
- 20:30Speaker 4: network of choice, Goodreads and Letterboxer, where I'm most active.
- 20:34Speaker 4: You can find me here on the network, co hosting
- 20:37Speaker 4: a show called house Lights with Tristan Riddell and Darren Moser,
- 20:40Speaker 4: where we look at the work of different directors and
- 20:43Speaker 4: we have a lot of fun with that. But Matt,
- 20:46Speaker 4: I I find that I actually owe my bookie more
- 20:51Speaker 4: than I might have in my Jedi bank account. So
- 20:53Speaker 4: I think I need to run back to the temple
- 20:56Speaker 4: and maybe lay low for a while. So I think
- 20:59Speaker 4: it's time to close Easy negotiations.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Hey Bookie, he's right here.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Negotiations are close.
- 21:09Speaker 2: I'm cool, man, I'm cool.
- 21:11Speaker 4: Join the nerd party.
