- 0:00Because fuck you, that's why is a founding member of the Odd Pods media
- 0:03network. Such a dick. Thank you. I'm so glad. You're joined
- 0:42by the Count from Sesame Street. One more Count. Welcome to episode two
- 0:53fifteen. Yet another chill show, very badly needed. Although he's everybody,
- 1:00everybody's just already checked out. At this point, we are completely out of
- 1:04it. It's can be evidenced by you know, listening. If you're a
- 1:07Patreon, remember, you'll probably hear how out of it we are from the
- 1:11pre show. Holy shit, Yeah, we had business. We had business
- 1:19didn't work. We just had long periods of silence where we just kind of
- 1:25sat here, stared at each other. Yeah, like nothing's working the way
- 1:29it should right now. It's rough man appendages that are prehensile, but we'll
- 1:34get to that later. It's rough. But before I get too far into
- 1:38it, allow me to introduce my usual compadres. Uh. He's a gamer
- 1:44in a storyteller, and he used to be my youngest friend. He's now
- 1:49something else. It's aggy man. If I had a nicole other time,
- 2:05I was called something else, you's something else like that, You're really something
- 2:10else. You just forgot the inflection really something else? So something else.
- 2:21I don't have a question. I don't really need. Thank god, this
- 2:23is the best episode ever. Questions are for like when like Sanders shows,
- 2:28when we have games and ship for a chill show is not really necessary.
- 2:30How you doing? Man? Oh there is a questions that's not how by
- 2:38doing? You just have to describe your current situations. I want you to
- 2:43do. Everybody asks you this every day of your life. By doing is
- 2:47actually quite complicated. Believer or not, No, Jesus Christ, just give
- 2:52you one word doing five? Thank you? That's all I wanted. Funk
- 2:58off a little tired, but five I thought I was a dick. God
- 3:02damn it. Uh call you have all the fun. And then he's a
- 3:13veteran and a podcaster and somehow that makes him a veteran podcaster. Ito'd Stevie's
- 3:25this guy? Actually, what I should say is not somehow but two ways.
- 3:29That makes you a veteran podcaster. Oh yeah, because you're a veteran
- 3:32who is a podcaster. But you're also you've been podcasting long enough that you're
- 3:36a veteran. We've gone through this and done this bit before. Did we
- 3:39just give anybody forgot in case anybody forgot it and they were too scared to
- 3:45call in to our freaking voice message thing that's on our website b F y
- 3:47g W pod dot com under aneath our connect. Was it nice? Plug
- 3:53that thing? Yeah, that's that thing there leg under contact? What he
- 3:59was trying to say? My tongue got stuck out of my tooth. He
- 4:01forgot how to say contact. It's hard man ever since the Aliens, which
- 4:05is to be fair, because I've put him through some pretty rigorous talking the
- 4:10other day. Yeah, I used my mouth board than I normally do on
- 4:12a weekday. Yeah, it's the most sumptuous blowjob I've ever had. I
- 4:18wasn't even there over an hour and a half. He worked. He worked
- 4:24that shaft so well. Yeah, I really did. Still stinks in this
- 4:27sh smell it in the wall. Yeah, we are being I'm referring,
- 4:34of course, to a microphone shaft. And Stevie was recording voice lines for
- 4:40same as his character Jamie in the book. And I have to tell you
- 4:44right now it's kind of a little spoiler. He fucking killed it. He
- 4:48fucking killed it. My God, like I didn't. I didn't even have
- 4:53to push him that hard. Motherfucker practiced. Motherfucker practiced. Motherfucker figured out
- 4:59how to make himself cry so he could get the emotional lines out and sound
- 5:04like he was crying because he was like Jesus fucking Christ, dude. I
- 5:13know, I know professional actors who don't go that far. I know more
- 5:19than one. I know multiple professional actors who don't go far enough to actually
- 5:26make themselves cry so that they can sound like they're like Jesus fucking Hell.
- 5:30And it was so good. And this motherfucker even got like laughs out of
- 5:34lines I didn't realize there were laughs in which is what you want when you
- 5:40cast somebody to be the comic person, is for him to find humor in
- 5:45lines that you don't realize is there. And motherfucker did it, and god,
- 5:49laughs out of me. That almost broke the recording session for a moment,
- 5:53but it was so worth it. See that's cool because that offers a
- 5:56unique experience between just reading the book or listening to the audio book exactly what
- 6:00the context of the line might be different based on how it's delivered. Oh
- 6:04yeah, and boy did this motherfucker deliver, Like God damn, I'm so
- 6:09impressed. I'm not used to getting blown this muchos here or something. Blow
- 6:15job. This is amazing, good thing, this is getting recorded. Enjoy
- 6:20this ship because I'm gonna start to use teeth. God, oh god,
- 6:28four teeth. Wait, No, that's not it. I gotta changed around.
- 6:36Somebody else has got choose the safe word this. It never works out
- 6:40for my favor ever, you keep going funny, seriously, dude, Like
- 6:46you made the experience like work and work so well because like, without the
- 6:51direction, ninety percent of that would have been gone. I'm like, I
- 6:55don't know that that is all. That is an exaggeration and a half.
- 6:59I only had to jump in for direction like maybe ten times over the course
- 7:02of the thing, and like two of those were at the very end where
- 7:05the climax and shit's getting heated, and I needed Stevie to deliver these lines
- 7:11in a very specific way. But other than that, like you, I
- 7:15just sat here and listened and tried to stay quiet. Like for most of
- 7:17it was just like just even if I had a reaction, even if I
- 7:21was laughing, I had to just keep it to myself so I didn't pop
- 7:25in over the mic. Yeah, just in case, just keep keep the
- 7:28keep the line clean as it were, but man, I was an experience
- 7:32and a half. Yeah, it was so good. It was I knew
- 7:36you were I knew you were going to be good. I knew there was
- 7:39like no way it wasn't going to be good. But my favorite, honest
- 7:44god, So I think I can spoil this. I mean, it's not
- 7:49it is kind of public knowledge, I guess. I know, but you're
- 7:55the one that's going to be mad if somebody spoils something. I'm not spoiling
- 7:58a plot thing in the book. And also we've already had the fame celebration
- 8:01to spoil the living yea, this is a kickstarter spoiler, I guess.
- 8:11But one of our one of our like wonderful human beings who follow us and
- 8:16support our show. MESI, yeah, who was on last episode if you'll
- 8:20recall great episode too. That was a lot of fun that that kind and
- 8:26exceedingly generous motherfucker pledged At the point where I made, you know, renamed
- 8:31a character in the book after him. Well, I thought to pay homage
- 8:35to him and what he means to us. I was like, well,
- 8:41if I named the guard in in like the interlogues after after MESI then Stevie's
- 8:50gonna have to voice him because Jamie's voice comes from that guard. So Stevie
- 8:56got to voice Mexi by his real name. And when he did, when
- 9:05he did that character's lines, he tried to put on like a lower and
- 9:09kind of almost a Texas inflection, if I'm not mistaken, a little so
- 9:15almost Mississippi. Yeah, yeah, a little a little bit, a little
- 9:16bit of a Southern and he and he lowered his he lowered his voice just
- 9:20a little bit just just to get kind of like a deeper tone. But
- 9:24you can still tell it's obviously Stevie's voice, you know. So I was
- 9:28like, that's oh man, Like I was just kind of touched to the
- 9:33quick. So fun experience. Yeah, it really was like I had a
- 9:39fucking ball, Like I'm behind this freaking curtain. We can't see each other.
- 9:43That's it sucked. I wish we could have seen each other. Like
- 9:46I'm really thinking, I'm not I'm not joking. I'm actually thinking about building
- 9:50a sound booth against this wall and just doing that whole corner and having a
- 9:52window and like a door window so that corner is just an individual person sound
- 9:58booth because I think that'd be kind of cool. You'd have a window still,
- 10:00you'd have that, and then we'd have like a little thing we could
- 10:03see each other. I don't know, this is like five years down a
- 10:05row, you know. I mean again, you know, yeah, when
- 10:07money is the thing again. Yeah, we're making We're making like thong and
- 10:11stuff, the parodies because we need like after the thing like kicks off,
- 10:16we got to make the money on the rest of the su uh yeah,
- 10:20the parody. Oh man, that was delightful. Yeah. No, had
- 10:24a great time even started doing some of the narration because Stevie bosted through his
- 10:31lines and nailed so many of them without retakes that I was just like we
- 10:35finished in what I mean, we started kind of like half an hour early,
- 10:39so we got we started it. We were intending to start at six
- 10:43and go until nine o'clock. I got here at five thirty. We started
- 10:46early, and Stevie finished up by seven thirty. Yeah, so we still
- 10:50had like an hour and a half length some time before Stevie was gonna have
- 10:54to jump back in, and I was like, well, let me do
- 10:56some let me do some narration then, and I sat down and actually to
- 11:00work through like four or five chapters. I think it was the prologue and
- 11:03four chapters of the Narration for the first time without even I I hadn't practiced.
- 11:09Stevie practiced. I hadn't practiced. I was just like, all right,
- 11:11I'm just gonna jump into it and just start reading. But you have
- 11:15the benefit of, like you wrote this, you are I know, I
- 11:20know what I what I want the word it's to sound like in my head,
- 11:22you know. Being being the director and the writer does give me clarity,
- 11:26at least as far as that's concerned. I don't have to be worried
- 11:28about what somebody else is thinking about, like how I'm doing it. If
- 11:33I'm not happy with it. I'm the only person who cares, you know.
- 11:35I mean, well, I'm maybe not the only person who cares,
- 11:37but I'm I'm the only person that matters in that moment in time. Like
- 11:41so it was, it was, it was. It was just a bizarre
- 11:46experience just because you don't expect how hot it's going to be over there,
- 11:52don't like and it's it's because of a thermal blanket. Yeah, and it
- 11:56is, but it's it's hold it's awesome because you can I'd like to say,
- 12:00you can hardly hear a thing, but that's a lie. We just
- 12:03happened to have the Indianapolis five hundred. Driving back, it was like the
- 12:07course it was. You just got to remember the record. On shitty days,
- 12:11nobody's driving around. Yeah, that'd be great. Let me just have
- 12:13the gentle rain that the microphone doesn't pick up. Yeah right, that's easy.
- 12:16That's easy to get hot rid of. So that's one of the big
- 12:20things I did this week. You know you didn't do this week? What
- 12:24didn't I do? Your intro? My intro? We did ours, but
- 12:28not yours. Oh we started talking about let's carry on. God damn it.
- 12:37Such a dickon. Yay, thank you now. Oh no, derailed
- 12:52him. Good job, but not in a bad way and the best way.
- 12:56So I love railing him to rail rail after deail him. Oh boy,
- 13:05my buttholes puckered was ready, so glostic. Dear god, the lipstick.
- 13:18I got a man, that's all right. So what the fuck are
- 13:31we on about? We're tired. I fell down a rabbit hole. Yeah
- 13:37no, it's fine. The rabbits small and huge, but it breaks us.
- 13:41You break it. It didn't last very long. No, it was
- 13:46late. It did. No. I we did the Pants of Shorts retrospective
- 13:52last week. It was so that was a lot of fun. That was
- 13:54amazing visiting revisiting all of our all our videos from back in the day,
- 14:00even the bad ones. Yeah, but it got me to thinking, like,
- 14:05you know, I have not caught up with Loading Ready Run, which
- 14:07was one of my inspirations back in the day. I was like, I
- 14:11have not caught up with them. So I actually fell down the rabbit hole,
- 14:13like watching a lot of their earlier videos and stuff that I fell in
- 14:16love with, and then I was like, well, what are they up
- 14:18to now? And I just started catching up and I'm like Jesus Christ had
- 14:22been making sketch comedy videos. Just They've been making a living making videos on
- 14:26the internet for over twenty years, like Christ Almighty, they are still going
- 14:33Strong's over twenty years old. Well, I mean they've branched out now they
- 14:39do everything Like once they fell down the magic rabbit hole. They actually got
- 14:41a deal with the Wizards of the Coast to promote their stuff. So they
- 14:46were big with magic and they had like a Friday night magic show every every
- 14:50week. I guess, or I don't know. How it worked. Hora
- 14:54knew better than I. Actually, Hora knew them through the Friday Night Magic
- 14:58stuff that they yeah, whereas I kind of fell off on that time.
- 15:03I'm like, oh, I'm not really into magic, so I just kind
- 15:05of stopped watching. But they got into streaming and they've still been going.
- 15:09I've just caught up to like twenty nineteen of their stuff, and I'm like,
- 15:13it's gonna be interesting to see how they handle COVID, because like,
- 15:18I have no idea. I mean that, for all I know that they're
- 15:22fine. I'm sure. I certainly hope nothing bad happened to any of them.
- 15:26But it's just been a wild ride seeing seeing them grow in age and
- 15:31like Graham and Kathleen have a kid, like holy crap. So it's just
- 15:37like, man, we're old. Yeah, but it's crazy, man.
- 15:43I mean, they're the lucky ones that they are. Things stuck, you
- 15:46know, and they stuck with it, which is great. Yeah. I
- 15:50feel sometimes that maybe if I'd stuck with it, I would have because I'd
- 15:52just gotten up to like five hundred and six hundred subscribers when I quit.
- 15:56Oh shoot, and that's not an insignate for a number like get you get
- 16:02up to a thousand, and YouTube starts paying more attention to you and starts
- 16:06promoting you more. And so if I'd stuck with it, maybe I would
- 16:08have kept growing and growing and growing and growing like they did. Problem is,
- 16:12I did exactly what they did. Did not promote myself at all.
- 16:18I meant it, and you were there consistent, like every week something coming
- 16:21out too. I mean, Lene already runs sketch on how to be a
- 16:25successful sketch comedy group on the Internet, starts with make videos for six years,
- 16:29but don't promote yourself at all. And I laughed so hard because that
- 16:34was exactly what I did. Like, that was exactly what I did.
- 16:40But yeah, they they were the same. They're just like, we're just
- 16:42gonna put it out and hope people just start coming and seeing our stuff.
- 16:47But yeah, they they stuck with it, and now they're like a full
- 16:49company with like four full time employees, and that's awesome. You know.
- 16:55It's to me, it's weird that they don't have more considering how many people
- 16:59they have like helping out. But I mean, I guess they must be
- 17:02like paid on a case by case basis. I don't really know. How
- 17:04it works. But it's it's inspiring to see that they're still around today.
- 17:10I'm just kind of impressed. Yeah, it's awesome, just on a whole
- 17:12level of the insane shit that they do, which is brilliant in my eyes
- 17:18anyway. Hell yeah, So yeah, it's just shouting out a little of
- 17:22to loading ready run for inspiring me to make videos for a little while and
- 17:26games with their name in. Yes, absolutely, are we good for a
- 17:33break? Yeah that sounds good. So all right, let's take a break.
- 17:36When we come back, we're gonna find out what everybody else has been
- 17:37up to. We're also going to check out some comments or emails or whatever

- 18:41is time for part two of our episode, which means, as we usually
- 18:45do, we're going to look at some comments and emails. We've got,
- 18:48ye, Stevie, what do we got? We got a comment on the
- 18:52video version of show number two fourteen, the Pantsley Shorts Retrospective with Mexican Retrospective
- 18:59retro Shoot, my totally. Somebody can spell people? God, Aaron,
- 19:03you fell words rights, you post things to put baby in the tags?
- 19:11I think I think everybody you put baby in the tags? What the fuck
- 19:15looks? Pitch me baby one more time, Jesus Price. There's no actual
- 19:22baby in this, Oh my god, but there's a pitch. Will you
- 19:29get to the comment? Yes, this comments from Mexi himself. This came
- 19:33out so good, thanks guys, and yeah with the shades on because he's
- 19:37badass and cool. Oh yeah, sir, thank you sir very much.
- 19:41Oh my god, it was it was. It was so much fun.
- 19:45It's always fun hanging with MEXI always, man, I miss him so much.
- 19:49Yeah, I want to hang out and want to do a barbecue with
- 19:52him or something, or maybe I'll go out to dinner again. That was
- 19:55so much fun, Yes, talking about we talked about PlayStation games. Think
- 20:00more than anything that. I just talking about a lot of PlayStation games.
- 20:02And I was in my element because I fucking loved the Sony PlayStation. I
- 20:06could talk for hours about that ship. That was a good trip. Man.
- 20:08We all just hung around. Yeah, like after dinner were cool places
- 20:12we hung out. We did We did a show. We did a massive
- 20:15show, which was impressive. I mean it was impressive the way that we
- 20:21did that show, like logistically, like we had it figured out and lined
- 20:23up so people just got in and out of chairs to I don't know how
- 20:26we did. Like we are good at this ship. We are genuinely good,
- 20:30really good. You should hire us, everybody. We'll do a show
- 20:33for you. To this day. My favorite o where that show is when
- 20:36somebody said that your topic is the Prince's tires and everyone would collectively went,
- 20:41oh, the Princess Bride. I was like, man, I love that
- 20:52movie. I don't care not the series. The first one the Princess,
- 20:56The second one is okay, the Vampire Tires move on to something else.
- 21:03Do we have anything else, Stevie? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We
- 21:04got an email as well from Colin me you want me to read this one?
- 21:08Yeah? All right, So Colin says, with a few recent guests,
- 21:11the song guess the line, et cetera. I thought you could pick
- 21:15a movie, album or even popular household item vibrator, and the contestants have
- 21:22to identify it via the reviews starting worst to best. Obviously multiple choice,
- 21:26but with some of the downright hilarious reviews out there and you guys, ability
- 21:30to improve, et cetera, could be lightning in a bottle, keep being
- 21:33awesome column. Thanks many. Actually it's funny story. The Gate leaders already
- 21:40do a game exactly like that, so it would be it would be yet
- 21:45again me stealing from the British. But I mean it's what I do,
- 21:48so they are the British, you know, at least I mean that almost
- 21:52makes it worse because ok no, I feel guilty is the difference, Like
- 21:57I don't want to rip off their ship. He Ray got permission from brother,
- 22:03We got permission from another. He out prints. Then well he's still
- 22:07there. He's still there. So yeah, so I think we're wild,
- 22:12sorry Matt and him being more of a writ than you, Colin said that
- 22:18I get to steal all of your ship I want, just because he's still
- 22:23a Patriots. Those freaking tea dumpers. Why would you want to live with
- 22:40a bunch of people with hoist tea? Those fucking tea dumpers? Is that
- 22:45something the British hope? So I hope, so I hope they call him?
- 22:51Please calling us tea dumpers. There's just one of the furies t dumpers
- 22:56still in the UK over there with a ask is this giy that never given
- 23:03American tea? They just wasted? True? Well, thank you for the
- 23:07suggestion, Colin. We will take it under advisement for sure. Yes,
- 23:12And it's always a pleasure to hear from you, man. Miss Yeah,
- 23:17we miss you. Brother. You should have Colin Maxim for a show.
- 23:22We should maybe just think about dude's fucking funny uh and these awesome besides,
- 23:26but he comes up with a good ideas. Yeah, steal from other people.
- 23:30Yeah, let's let's steal a British man. You know what, it's
- 23:36from the British Archer, steal a british Man. British Man, nobody else
- 23:40do a British men. It's Archer. Alright, that's the game plan,
- 23:45Colin, you beond nototice. I got a burlap sack and every for himself.
- 23:53What are we doing? I don't know. Do you have any more
- 23:56emails? No? No, No, that's it. That's it for this
- 24:00week. Some TikTok stuff, but it's too much. Okay, we love
- 24:06you and you're awesome. Yeah. So that's been my week. Mostly is
- 24:11is some loading ready run and doing stuff for the audiobook. And I made
- 24:15a massive increase in the amount of words for like you know, I made
- 24:21serious progress in my second novel. So that's good. That's awesome. That's
- 24:26pretty much all I've been doing is side and I'm releasing that thing before I
- 24:30get through your first one. Yeah. Probably, I'm uh And it's fine,
- 24:36I am. That's not a big deal. I I have doesn't bother.
- 24:41I was gonna say. The only other thing I did was a beat
- 24:44Final Fantasy eight again and was disappointed to find that the Sorceress does not blow
- 24:49up for as long as I remembered, too quick it was it was over
- 24:53and under a minute, and I was like, I remember this taking much
- 24:56longer. And then I went online and looked at a YouTube and you it,
- 25:00and I suddenly remembered why it was so much longer on the original PlayStation,
- 25:03because it was on the original PlayStation. The remastered version goes at full
- 25:08speed, the PlayStation slows down like so it's like she's exploding so much the
- 25:15PlayStation can't actually keep actual pros. It's literally like pow, like parts are
- 25:22exploding out of her and it's just and the PlayStation is just going. That's
- 25:27awesome, like literally going in slow motion. So no wonder that took forever.
- 25:33The PlayStation was getting pushed as hard as it could go, just couldn't
- 25:38handle it. Yeah, but the part that I remembered was still in there,
- 25:44where like it's it's like she's exploding like crazy boom boom boom, and
- 25:48then you think there's like a giant explosion that's going to be end of it,
- 25:52and then light just starts to fill the screen in front of each character
- 25:56individually that's in the fight, So like uh Renoa and Squall and Quistas all
- 26:02just momentarily get whited out, like slowly, just the white just kind of
- 26:06takes over them, just along with this noise. It is like like it's
- 26:10speeding up somehow, but it plays over all three of them, and then
- 26:14it cuts back to the Sorceress and there's all these shafts of white light coming
- 26:18out of her and then just a massive, like negative explosion like in Black
- 26:22Okay, and I'm like, she's still exploding, like still going, and
- 26:30then finally she starts to disintegrate and like she's great, Yeah, disintegrate like
- 26:37little pieces of her into three D corpse are just from the top down,
- 26:41like the snap disintegrations from Avengers, but slower. Yes, it still takes
- 26:48approximately ten seconds for all of her to disintegrate into nothing, but uh yeah,
- 26:52yeah, I had a lot of fun with that. I was really
- 26:55looking forward to that explosion. I was like I'm ready, my body's ready.
- 26:57And then it went at full speed and I was like, huh huh.
- 27:02Remaster kind of ruins it for me. Just a little bit longer.
- 27:07Just pause it every couple of seconds. Yeah, I'll just I'll just watch
- 27:11the original on YouTube when i'm jonesing for it. I don't think I'm gonna
- 27:14play through that game again without cheating my ass off. I was actually I
- 27:17actually played without cheating this time, really played through the whole game without without
- 27:21using any like card cheets or anything. I mean, I still broke the
- 27:25hell out of the game, because you can, it can fuck up,
- 27:27but I didn't, like, I didn't give myself a set of all of
- 27:30the cards so I can make all of the items and all that shit and
- 27:33just go fucking nuts like I used to when I was a kid. And
- 27:37anyway, that's everything I've been up to pretty much. So one of YouTube
- 27:41is gonna have to talk. Oh shit, damn it, I'll talk to
- 27:45Okay, go ahead. Mine was easy. Ah. Well, for about
- 27:48a week and a half, I was going over your script for me.
- 27:51Yeah, so that was most of my free tim Yeah. I was genuinely
- 27:55impressed that you were practicing. Yeah, dude, like, like I wanted
- 27:59to take it that you were taking this serious. And I how do you
- 28:02for actually completing just the novel alone, let alone take the extra steps of
- 28:07publishing it then going for the audiobook. I'm like, dude, this is
- 28:11still seems it was insane to me. It still seems I still feel like
- 28:15I'm it's surreal. It's awesome. Like body experience almost like what the fuck
- 28:19is even happening. I have a separate account in my bank with over five
- 28:23thousand dollars just sitting in it, and I'm just like, I don't dare
- 28:27touch it. I'm like, I don't go anywhere near I'm like, yep,
- 28:30not until I have to. But this is this is awesome. This
- 28:33is the thing you're leaving like when you leave. Man, it's like,
- 28:37you got this out there now in the world, and shit, it's fucking
- 28:40I have. I have a legacy. I guess is anyone going to pay
- 28:44attention to it after I've gone? I don't know, but you got one.
- 28:47But I mean, yeah, I am. I don't have kids,
- 28:49so this is what I'm leaving behind. Ye I hear you, man,
- 28:53But that's awesome. So yeah, aside from two hundred fucking episodes of this
- 28:59podcast right exactly, yeah, which will be out forever. I got my
- 29:07my life insurance plan actually funds the rest of the show for like ten more
- 29:10years. I already have it in my will to keep it going to cover
- 29:14everything after just fuck god damn it. Now I'm obligated. How the fuck
- 29:19are we going to replace you? Like a book with a step by step
- 29:23how to do everything. Okay, okay, you have to you have to
- 29:30drug a badger, shave it, teach it to speak English, get it
- 29:36really really high. It's pretty much most of it. But no, Yeah
- 29:42for me, I I just went through lines and had fun. I've been
- 29:47playing a lot of Fallout for again. I got back in the Fallout for
- 29:48You're better than a shaved badger. I'm an un badger, more like a
- 29:57raccoon with mage. Actually, you know that's a better descriptor now I'm thinking
- 30:03about it. Raccoon yah, trash bandits, Oh oh man, they're okay.
- 30:14So I was on the Fink Show, uh last Friday. I think,
- 30:17yeah, like we have there's this ongoing thing with me Stone talking about
- 30:22giraffes or whatnot, and we got onto this thing about me getting into my
- 30:27raccoon costume, which we might have to order something. So like how I
- 30:32wanted to do a video of me in my raccoon costume. I'm like going
- 30:34after somebody's garbage cans and ship. But then Aggie comes running after me in
- 30:41a giraffe costume, like a draft cop costume. He's got the badge and
- 30:44the hat, and ship. He's gotta go and try to arrest me because
- 30:48of the Girafte cops from the Fink Show. You guys got to check out
- 30:49The Fink Show seven seven's four Big Fink call it. But you should go
- 30:56there and check your ship out. It's on pod Bean. I get paid
- 31:00to say this, to say this what the advertised by the Thing show?
- 31:06Okay? Is that all you did? That's a commercial practice reading. Really,
- 31:12I think that was the most for the book. Played Fallout and then
- 31:15sold out and hold Out show, not just getting ready for spring man,
- 31:21I got my I got my motorcycle registered, inspected, and I went for
- 31:23a ride yesterday. Word, yeah, it was fucking awesome. It was
- 31:26so gorgeous. So now you're one of those assholes we hate so much.
- 31:30But I don't do it when I'm recording. How the fun could you?
- 31:37I mean, I can there's a headset inside the helmet Jesus Christ, So
- 31:41do you want? We can get a discord through my phone? And how
- 31:44the would you hear anything over that loud ass? I don't fucking know,
- 31:48but it works. I listened to music. Yeah, oh Jesus Christ.
- 31:52Getting ready for summer, getting ready to do some fucking mad work down here.
- 31:56Man. I got like tons of plans, like so many. It's
- 32:00going to be awesome. This It's going to be a good year for everything
- 32:04I'm hoping. I'm looking for another like I'm doing podcast consulting and ship like
- 32:10that soon podcast because apparently I've been doing this for a while and I have
- 32:15ideas and yeah, well, I mean you've been doing it long, even
- 32:19longer than I have, just by virtue of unbroken time. But even before
- 32:24then, I wasn't running a podcast. I don't know the first thing about
- 32:28actually running a podcast where you do. Yeah, so I think I'll get
- 32:31into that just to get some extra bucks here. I mean, yeah,
- 32:34it might, it might. It might earn you something. You can look
- 32:37at somebody set up and be like, all right, so this is what
- 32:38you should consider, you know, and just give them a bunch of ideas
- 32:43of things that they could do to improve their show, improve their distribution,
- 32:46improve their their audio quality, like you know it all. So, I
- 32:51mean, that's not a bad idea at all. I think it would genuinely
- 32:54be a good idea for any want to be podcasters out there to ask Stevie
- 32:59for help and pay him a modest tree. Yeah, I think that'd be
- 33:02a great idea. Yeah, I'll send the money this way, peeps.
- 33:07But no, I'm just excited. There's a lot of stuff going on,
- 33:10and then of course I'm getting ready to go to Vegas at the end of
- 33:13the year, so I'm trying to get the extra money for that right now.
- 33:15So that's what I'm really working into, saving up for that. So
- 33:20yeah, but other than that, that's about it. Man, Just trying
- 33:22to live life and not spend any money. Yeah, I know that feels
- 33:27it's difficult. I know that feeling all too well. Trying not to spend
- 33:30any money does not work very well. No, it's had anyway I can
- 33:36spend less money that I can do. That's what I'm doing. Yep.
- 33:38It's not that hard once you put yourself to a budget. Yeah, sucks
- 33:43doing it, but it sucks doing it. It sucks to it, but
- 33:46it's for the greater good of yourself to do such things. Yeah. Yeah,
- 33:51that's your PSA for today, that ng Yeah, is there anything else?
- 33:59I don't think there is, Loggie, do you have anything, Yeah,
- 34:01I'm an adult that I am spending money. He's got a real job.
- 34:07No, no, So we are about to drop some money to get
- 34:13our apartment a nice like washer dryer. Finally get like to live like you
- 34:21know, adults, instead of being like going downstairs to do our laundry,
- 34:25because we can do our laundry. Or let me ask the question that's important.
- 34:30It's on my mind. I don't know about anybody else, but I
- 34:32know how space is at a premium up there. Where the fuck are you
- 34:37gonna put them? So there, we do have a hallway where there was
- 34:39once a washer dryer, like big two separate units there. We had cleared
- 34:45it out and now it's just an open hallway like closet. So boo yeah
- 34:52boo. Oh you're hoping we'd struggle bar at the I thought there was gonna
- 34:57be a more interesting answer to that question. All right, Aaron, help
- 35:01replace the floors in the hole? Oh ship, No, that's even better.
- 35:05Knocked wall in front of secret compartment crap, No, that's good too.
- 35:12Turned it into the police because he's a good kid instead of spending use.
- 35:16Oh we get dive bombed by shield bugs every other day. That's something
- 35:21bad. That hell, there's a war going. Yeah, our windows are
- 35:25pretty shitty, like there's spaces between some of them, and they're just getting
- 35:30right in. We're getting them fixed as well, but that's gonna take some
- 35:34time and a lot of fucking cash just don't have right now, especially if
- 35:37I'm dropping it on a washer dryer combo. Other than that, we just
- 35:42finished watching the Fallout series. Not gonna spoil it, but it was good.
- 35:46If you like fall Out, any of the fall if you're if you're
- 35:50if you play the games and you're a fan of the games, you're gonna
- 35:52have fun with the show. If you've never played the games but you still
- 35:57want to check it out, you're still gonna have fun. You might not
- 36:00know what's going on. Gory, is it? I have to know?
- 36:06Yeah, yeah, it's it's it's gory points, it is. There's some
- 36:12power, Yeah, there's some moments. It's not all the time, but
- 36:15there's moments. Yeah yeah. Yeah, Well that's a shame. But it
- 36:21was great. I mean, I'll go through and watch it again. I
- 36:22can. I can break the times for you. Like I knew, I
- 36:28knew, I knew Piccard was safe. Yeah, I knew that. I
- 36:30knew that was not going to be gory, but yeah, this is Unfortunately,
- 36:36there's just some parts that are way too true to the game. Yeah,
- 36:40and there's there were things that I could handle in the game that I
- 36:44was like, oh if I saw that in the movie, I think I
- 36:46threw up. Yeah, they shows his Amazon I think, right, yeah,
- 36:51yeah, you could swear to so. But it did get that bug
- 36:58in me to go back and play those types of Yeah, I kind of
- 37:01want to go back to fall Out three four in New Vegas again. Funny
- 37:06enough, though I didn't. Instead, well, at least tell me you
- 37:09played fall Out seventy six. Oh we did. We did for a time,
- 37:15Like nobody hates themselves that much. Yeah, we did for a time
- 37:19back when it first came out, But that's because it was like available with
- 37:22game Pass, so we just played it. Yeah, because it was available,
- 37:24it was on game Pass, it was free, so why not try
- 37:27it that you try it and you're like, well that was a waste of
- 37:30time. Yeah, that is not as fun as we thought it was.
- 37:34But no, Instead, I'm like, Okay, I don't like Fallout four,
- 37:37so I'm not going to play that. Uh, and I want to
- 37:40play New Vegas, but I want to like set time aside to play New
- 37:45Vegas. Like actually, dedicate hours to it because I want to play through
- 37:49it proper. From a story in writing standpoint, New Vegas is the best
- 37:52one. Yeah, by far from a game play spent standpoint, I actually
- 37:55prefer Fallout four. Okay, that's fair, but I know I also I
- 38:00don't like the story of Falloff. At least I believe there are oh who
- 38:05fucking gives a shit about? Sorry, I just wandered around and do all
- 38:07the dexterraneous ship but the I think there. I may be mistaken, but
- 38:15I seem to recall hearing about a not a total conversion, but like a
- 38:19homemade like expansion pack, that it is basically an entirely new game. I
- 38:24think it's called Fallout London. I could be. Yeah, well here's the
- 38:29problem with that. But as the released another patch for the game with had
- 38:34content update, it broke broke Fallout. Yeah, it broke fall Out London.
- 38:39And it broke all the mods because they were now incompatible with the with
- 38:45the HD enhancement pack. And I think I think the dev for Fallout London
- 38:49pretty much just about all but threw up his hands in defeat, and just
- 38:52because he literally just released it literally just and then and then the Fallout people.
- 39:00Yeah, it's a lot of people are looking forward to it. A
- 39:04lot of people thought it was going to be the next Fallout game. It
- 39:06was that. It was, it was it was that complete. It was
- 39:09actually experience but having power that they never have a Follout game outside the US.
- 39:17Having said that, the Fallout London crew I believe they have released a
- 39:22statement saying that they are going to work on it and try and get it
- 39:24compatible. I hope they do, but it's going to take time. Yeah,
- 39:28a lot of time because they fucked them over. They quite literally did
- 39:34every time and up. So instead, instead I pivoted side back to cyberpunk.
- 39:42Oh oh yeah. I thought he was going to say LARPing would be
- 39:46I don't think my back could handle LARPing like we usould do it at college
- 39:52with Jorge Man. You go with coverage, You're like, I do this,
- 39:53I stay with you thunder Bull. But no, I pivoted the cyberpunk
- 40:01again. We started at the beginning, found a nice build I wanted to
- 40:05go with. I went like a nice assault rifle build with Scandal Vistain,
- 40:10the one that like slow mos everything so literally just running and gunning and slow
- 40:15Mo and went like streak Kid and all that, and yeah, it's still
- 40:21so good, like they've they've been doing such a good job on it that
- 40:24now it runs and looks still good on the lowest setting, so like my
- 40:29computers, not overheating at all. It's like barely running the fans in some
- 40:34parts. Yeah, they've they've optimized the hell out of that, and it's
- 40:38amazingly able to run on much weaker stuff than it did when it first came
- 40:44out. Yeah, and they added like a bunch of stuff to like updates
- 40:46they the I remember I had, remember my mini laptop handheld gaming. That
- 40:53thing was cool. I loved that thing. It was awesome. But it
- 40:59can only play cyber hung for like ten seconds before we crash. Oh my
- 41:01gosh. GPU. It has you know, integrated graphics, so it's it
- 41:07struggles. It's got like a I think it's an eleventh gen Intel chip in
- 41:10there. But thanks to updates to Cyberpunk, it's actually like fully playable.
- 41:16Now that's on this on that little handheld fucking dinky thing. Amazing. It's
- 41:22seven to twenty p but it plays, hey, hey fucking plays, and
- 41:28I was having I was genuinely having fun playing cyberpunk in my fucking bathroom,
- 41:31like just yeah, gone and mother, Yeah, it's it's it's been that.
- 41:37It's been a good time going. I I still enjoy the hell out
- 41:39of cyberpunk. It's just driving around listening to the music every time fucking afterlife
- 41:45kicks in. Now that we've watched Edge Runners, it's like, oh,
- 41:49that show was actually really good, the cyberpunk show. Yeah, that's what
- 41:52I heard. It was actually pretty awesome. Got me and that it is
- 41:54going again bloody, but it's like cartoonishly bloody. Yeah yeah, so anime
- 42:00bloody so I could handle that. Yeah, you know it's fake, so
- 42:02it's not too bad. But it was good. I mean, yeah,
- 42:06I watched with the dangan m anime, and you know, the games are
- 42:09pretty fucking it's about kids killing each other, so it's fucking bloody, you
- 42:13know. Ye. But the but it's it's all, uh, the video
- 42:16games are all like pink blood. The animes did not fuck around, however,
- 42:21really, yeah, they they showed uh the the Villainessa's proto attempt to
- 42:28do set up a similar thing. But she's just like put a bunch of
- 42:30students in a room with a box full of weapons and said go to town
- 42:34or else I release your deepest, darkest secrets on the internet. Wow,
- 42:37and they start killing each other. Yeah, but geez, it's it's it's
- 42:45it's fucked up. It's hard to watch for sure. But it wasn't like
- 42:49gory turned my stomach, like I could handle it. I'm like, it's
- 42:51anime, you know, Yeah, the one the one time I watched an
- 42:55anime that I almost couldn't handle it just because of how off it was.
- 43:00Was I think the Dead Space anime that huh I heard it? Yeah.
- 43:07I think it takes place between the events of Dead Space one and two,
- 43:09and the instrumer is still like floating in space. Or it might actually be
- 43:13a prequel to a Dead Space one. Oh, but like one of the
- 43:16characters is a lady and like the other characters are starting to go slowly insane,
- 43:22and this one has like a kind of like a chainsaw blade almost cool,
- 43:27comes up behind her and between her legs. Oh good from there up
- 43:32like, and she's trying to hold it down with her hands and just cutting
- 43:37through her hands, and it's like Jesus Christ, like that was it was
- 43:39genuinely hard to watch. I was like I was like, I almost I
- 43:43almost threw up just from the idea of it, like like, thank god
- 43:45it was an anime and not like actually I would have a hostel or something
- 43:51like. It was awful. It's absolutely awful. Anyway, enough of these
- 43:55horrific things. Yeah, f on door fast. Should we take a break?
- 44:02I need a cigarette? Jesus all right, we'll be back right after
- 44:09this. Interrupt this program to bring you a newsplash Michael Jackson's ghost scene at
- 44:23a Yankees game. Cinnamon toast Crunch now with a shrimp in every bite.
- 44:30Lil Uzi Vert's head Diamond has been sold on the dark web. Stories like

- 45:13somewhere else just now. I was like, I was gonna say, should
- 45:19we smack? I saw in the image on it, and that just taught
- 45:24me for some reason, and I was visibly there on that bridge. Honestly,
- 45:29I thought it was those people in the background getting married or whatever.
- 45:31You're getting married nice, I imagine going on back there, wait for for
- 45:36they're all jumping off there just online. It's actually Lemmings Jesus. For the
- 45:44briefest moment, I looked at Aaron and saw that he was motionless, and
- 45:46then I glanced to you and saw that you were just staring ahead of I
- 45:51thought it was me. I'm like, ship, what the fuck happened?
- 45:54He fell into a time loop. He went too hard on that cyberpunk thing.
- 45:59He thinks he the implant. Now, I thought the real hard all
- 46:04of a sudden, be like, Oh, that's a good, dude.
- 46:07If it makes you stop trying, that's a good That's fucking funny. Sorry
- 46:10about that. Tired this episode, Yeah, we're still out of it.
- 46:16We're all a little tired. But I still got other stuff I could talk
- 46:21about. It realized during the break. So I have been supporting this board
- 46:25game forever and I need to stop. But they're coming out with new expansions,
- 46:29so I know I won't. So it's called Thunderstone Quest that and I
- 46:35wanted to talk about this August played it is. It is a deck building
- 46:39game where you are managing adventurers going down into a dungeon to try and stop
- 46:45the evil Guardian and collect the Guardian keys. And it's it's a really cool
- 46:52twist on the deck building from Dominion because you have two choices. You can
- 46:58either go to the village, spend money, get goods that you can spend
- 47:00to help you delve deeper into the dungeon, buy better heroes for your deck,
- 47:06or even just upgrade your heroes with experience points, which are also your
- 47:09victory points, so you got to be careful about that, and you're just
- 47:14trying to put the together the best deck you can so you can get the
- 47:16most experienced points by the end of the game and win the game. So
- 47:21it's kind of co op competitive almost. Its kind of sits in that sphere.
- 47:25Now, the thing about this game and the thing about Dominion, both
- 47:30games are equally guilty of this, is that they can literally just keep adding
- 47:37cards. So I am at this point in the Proud Possession thanks to a
- 47:45Kickstarter campaign of the fourteenth and fifteenth expansions Holy to go with the other thirteen
- 47:52which I already have. I bought the game on Kickstarter. It's Becca Scott's
- 47:57fault. I'm holding you personally responsible. Becca. She did the k starter
- 48:02video and it genuinely looked like a lot of fun, and it is a
- 48:05lot of fun, but it's an expensive and heavy lot of fun. The
- 48:09entire game fits into two giant boxes. Now I had to buy a second
- 48:15box because there was literally, there's literally no room left in the first box.
- 48:21None couldn't do it anymore. And I was like, motherfuckers, what
- 48:25am I supposed to do with this shit? And now they've just announced a
- 48:30sixteenth and seventeenth expansion, so I'm probably gonna wind up getting those. But
- 48:34I've been spending I've been spending a lot of time, especially the last couple
- 48:37of days because it arrived on Thursday, like trying to organize these cards in
- 48:43a way that makes sense. But it's been like it's been like months since
- 48:45I've even played the original game, so like I don't remember how I organized.
- 48:51Like I can look in and I'm like, Okay, I see like
- 48:54a lot of the stuff that I'm looking for, but I don't see some
- 48:57of the stuff that I need for these other cards that came with the game,
- 49:00Like there's there's you can play what's called Epic Thunderstone because each expansion is
- 49:07kind of interwoven. It has its own heroes, its own villains, its
- 49:10own monsters, all that stuff. So you can play it expansion by expansion
- 49:15and play the heroes and against the proper villains and whatnot. And there's a
- 49:17quest book that goes with it describes the story that you're experiencing as you're taking
- 49:22care of all this stuff. Ok, but you can also play Epic Thunderstone,
- 49:25which is basically, take everything out of the box and play with every
- 49:30card imaginable. Oh my gosh, build whatever the fuck deck you want,
- 49:35build you know, whatever hero with whatever weapon, with whatever you want,
- 49:39Like, just build whatever, float your boat and go dungeoneering and have a
- 49:45good time. And of course, you know, you can also have all
- 49:46the monsters in the world if you want. But yeah, it's like so
- 49:52there's these cards that come specifically called Epic Support, which allow you to play
- 49:55Epic Thunderstone by giving you the extra cards you need for the sheer amount of
- 50:00ship they're putting out on the table. And uh, I don't know where
- 50:06to put these because I can't find the Epics Support cards in my original box.
- 50:09I'm like, what the what the fuck? So I'm just like just
- 50:15kind of like I spent a lot of the last ages kind of looking back
- 50:19and forth between the two boxes, like where do I where do I put
- 50:22these? What? What? Where the hell? What the hell? How
- 50:24the hell? Yeah, briefcase boxes and what's what's really shitty about this?
- 50:31Like all this and all this money I've spent on this game. We've played
- 50:35it probably a grand total of four or five times. And it's a fun
- 50:38game too. It is a fun game. No, it doesn't take terribly
- 50:44long. I mean, granted, the boxes are so huge now I have
- 50:45to dig through and find heroes. But yeah, we can't. We can't
- 50:50absolutely play it. We can't absolutely play it. Next time you guys come
- 50:53over, we can play it absolutely. It's a lot of fun, it
- 50:57genuinely is. But but there's fucking too much now, Like there's there's too
- 51:00fucking much. And now it's like if I don't buy these pansions, then
- 51:05I'm literally like almost complete. I have an almost complete set. I have
- 51:12an incomplete set by only these two pieces. I'm like, motherfuckers. So
- 51:17I kind of have to keep going. I want to keep having the complete
- 51:21set and then turn around and finally sell it someday for like for like hundreds
- 51:27of dollars, because Jesus chriss thousands of I mean that seems insane but possible.
- 51:32I guess yes, long enough, sure, yeah, yeah, you
- 51:37wait long enough. So that's going too long that it becomes priceless. Yes,
- 51:44but that's that's what I've been doing. I haven't actually played or did
- 51:47I to be playboard game on Sunday. I think we did it. Oh,
- 51:52we played a Feast for Odin. O. A Feast for Odin is
- 51:55a worker placement game slash Tetris. Yeah, you get this grid that you
- 52:00can put your goods on. You can only put certain goods on, and
- 52:04you have to follow certain rules, like the green tiles can't touch other green
- 52:07tiles. They can be diagonal, but they can't be next to like adjacent.
- 52:13Blue tiles can touch anything. And you can also use money or or
- 52:16to place on any space to fill in gaps and things like that. But
- 52:21like the pieces are all different sizes. There's like two by one, there's
- 52:24two by three by one, there's two by two little cubes, you know,
- 52:29and and the special items are fucking anything like shaped like an e or
- 52:36you know, like a fucking like a hammer or something like. It's just
- 52:40and you gotta make it all fit on these grids and cover up all these
- 52:45negative points so you don't wind up losing a shipload of points at the end
- 52:49of the game. Yeah, it's it's it's a really neat engine builder h
- 52:54slash the whole Tetras thing. I really dig because just just that's another dimension
- 53:00onto the gameplay, because you're not just getting resources and getting stuff that gives
- 53:05you points like a lot of games, you have to then actually place it
- 53:07in a way that makes sense and doesn't fuck you over. Makes sense.
- 53:13That's awesome, it's it's it's a pretty fun game, but it took a
- 53:15long time to figure out. Yeah. Yeah, so it's kind of cool.
- 53:21I don't know if i'd introduce that one to you, Stevie when you
- 53:23especially if you're stoned, because dear god, that's it's it's a lot.
- 53:28I think it fun. But yeah, it is very it is fun.
- 53:32But I mean everybody at the table complained until we got like halfway through the
- 53:37game and they got it and they're like, Okay, now I get it.
- 53:38Now it's fine. Yeah, yeah, it might be a bit much.
- 53:42It's like it's like it's like stone Age, but imagine you had thirty
- 53:45two options of things to do instead of like ten. Yeah, yeah,
- 53:51that's hard. Anyway, speaking of board games, you guys play any Yeah,
- 53:55well, on Thursdays, we don't. We stay upstairs for dinner.
- 54:00It's like the apartment. We have dinner. We play board games every Thursday.
- 54:02Now. Oh okay, yes, we've been doing it for like about
- 54:05a month and a half now. Yeah, is that what I'm keeping you
- 54:08from for Thursday recording sessions. Yeah, I'm sorry. We we rush.
- 54:14Don't worry. We'll talk about that in a minute, all right. But
- 54:16we started with what was the Sasquatches and Lumberjacks or something. Though, So
- 54:21the first game that we started playing together for these Thursday nights has been called
- 54:27Flapjacks and Sasquatch Lapjacks and Sasquatches, Pancakes and Yetties, Pancakes, bigfoots Root
- 54:35to fre So it's a deck kind of building. It's yeah, a little
- 54:39bit of my buildings just a decade. Basically, you everyone has trees they
- 54:46have to cut down, and these trees are worth a certain amount of points
- 54:50at the end, you have to basically get to like twenty one or something
- 54:52like that, and there's cards like axes you need to cut down the trees
- 54:59or or there's cards that will either give somebody a blister or you have to
- 55:05have gloves that will protect you from blisters. There's cards like Sasquatch cards that
- 55:10will come in and fuck everything up and like have you wipe the board or
- 55:15something like that, or there's other cards like Companions that'll assist you to chop
- 55:19down trees or uh, stuff like that. So pretty much you're rolling dice
- 55:23and if you have an axe and it actually either gives you a plus or
- 55:25a minus or nothing or whatever, you roll those dice to try to hit
- 55:29the street value. And then the negatives are, like you said, the
- 55:32blisters or ax slips or some shit like that. But then you get like
- 55:37these funny ones like Babe will come in and help you the fucking blue ox
- 55:40and shit, oh she's like, oh well, this fucking ox will help
- 55:44knock down this like this public There's awesome, but it's been fun. We've
- 55:50been playing it, and like the first two weeks we play our other roommate,
- 55:53the Cybernetic Diabetic couldn't even get a fucking axe at all, Like we
- 55:58were shoveled like and every I mean, do you get one, It's like
- 56:00we broke it on them or something. Because there's certain acts do different things.
- 56:06Like there is just a basic act that doesn't give you any plus or
- 56:08minuses, but all of them can get destroyed either by another card or if
- 56:14you like, or something some event or whatever that takes place. But then
- 56:19there's like acts like a titanium ax that gives you like a plus one and
- 56:22can't be broken, but you could still have somebody steal it or swap it
- 56:28out out on you or something like that. But it's a fun game where
- 56:30it's like you're kind of against each other because you're trying to get to the
- 56:32twenty one first, but the same time, it's like, I'm just there
- 56:35to cutries down, motherfucker. I don't care now. The second game,
- 56:38however, that we've been playing with and that we play a lot of this
- 56:43is just fun Loop. Oh my god, it's great. It's familiar.
- 56:47It's a it's a cooperative game where you battle a man called doctor Foe Yeah
- 56:53and clones, and you you play a temporal agent of one of how many
- 57:00there are now there's like eight four or five six seven, something like that,
- 57:04six to eight or whatever. It's like a board, a circular board.
- 57:07Equadrants. Yeah, there a different time the beginning of time, Medieval,
- 57:14Renaissance, Industrial, globalization, robot and end of time and basically you
- 57:23have to It's it's really cool because it's kind of like Shadow Run. We
- 57:28have different missions. The one we've been doing is called Sabotage, and basically
- 57:31we have to complete x amount of missions based on how many players there are
- 57:39before Doctor Foe creates x amount of four texes and what vore texes are are
- 57:45every round he have every turn, yeah, rather, yeah, you have
- 57:52to draw a card that dictates where his era is or what era he is
- 57:57in, and in the center of the board there's this like dice tower.
- 58:01Yeah, in the center of this bird, there's like this dice tower and
- 58:05you have to turn the center to whatever his era is, and there's like
- 58:09three ramps, one that goes to his era and two that go to the
- 58:13adjacent one based on the amount of clones that are in his era. You
- 58:17then have to drop rift cubes. These rift cubes will then drop into the
- 58:22dice tower and then just randomly go into whatever era. If you get more
- 58:29than three rifts to that era, it creates a vortex. That means that
- 58:34that era. Any card because that there's cards that get placed out that you
- 58:39can collect from. If you end your turn on it get destroyed. Any
- 58:45energy cubes or anything that it will help assist you in the game get destroyed
- 58:47and it turns into a vortex and the mission is destroyed as well. That
- 58:51would have been in that era. And it's basically a race of can you
- 58:55complete four missions before he makes three vortexes? And he he is a fucking
- 59:00asshole. So the last two weeks, like this week obviously, we recorded,
- 59:07so we tried. We had it all set up before we started cooking,
- 59:09like as we were cooking dinner and stuff, had it said we're playing
- 59:12in the kitchen, and it ended up being I came down to record with
- 59:16you and it was only like one turn left or something like that, and
- 59:21we ended up just losing. We end up straight up losing because he made
- 59:22another So like every person as a turn poral agent, and each agent has
- 59:29like a different ability they can do. The one I like to play is
- 59:32like that's called the time prowler and every time it's my turn. When I
- 59:37go to drop the rift cubes into Doctor Foe's era, I can choose one
- 59:42of those cubes to remove. Whereas Steve played a cat like some cat wizard
- 59:49guy Camemember's name. Instead of a hand of three cards, he had a
- 59:54got he got a hand of four cards, got an extra card. Pretty
- 59:59good. Cyber had another card where or another temporal agent where he was like
- 1:00:02playing a robot or something like that. But if he kills two clones,
- 1:00:07every clone he kills after that adds a energy cube which can be used to
- 1:00:15loop your abilities or your movement, so you get one free movement and usually
- 1:00:22a hand of three cards. Those cards will allow you to do different things,
- 1:00:25either like add energy or remove rifts, push poll clones. The only
- 1:00:30way to kill a clone is either through a card or to somehow get them
- 1:00:35to their original era, where they'll get displaced and just disintegrade. And so
- 1:00:42you have to balance between removing rifts, killing clones, and completing missions which
- 1:00:49might have you kill clones, remove riffs, or place energy or loop in
- 1:00:54Doctor Foe's era, which changes every player you know, or I kill clones
- 1:01:00specifically in his era, which there might not be any clones that need to
- 1:01:05go to that era. So then you're like, Okay, I can't do
- 1:01:07anything but anything else and yeah, it's it's it's rough, and that we've
- 1:01:13only played the one mission type. There's other mission types plus a hard mode.
- 1:01:16Yeah, just normal movie. Yeah, and we've only won like twice
- 1:01:22and we've played four times something like that. Yeah, it's hard. So
- 1:01:25he's kicked ours twice. Sounds a lot like Ansen, a bit like it,
- 1:01:30but like it's an octagon like board with a tower dice tower in the
- 1:01:37middle. It's so much fun, dude. There's like so many expansions I
- 1:01:42guess for it too. It's more creatures that you can play as andre work
- 1:01:45cards like that. Yeah, it's pretty cool. Trying to think of like
- 1:01:50other like heart Attack in the Box games like and then the only one I
- 1:01:54can come up with his Attack on Titan the deck building game. Oh,
- 1:01:58never played it. That one came down to a single card. No ship
- 1:02:01came down came down to the last card draw. I was gonna have the
- 1:02:05last turn before we were all gonna lose, and I drew the like plus
- 1:02:09fifteen Titan Killer card like basically I can't remember exactly what it was, but
- 1:02:15I was like, oh, thank god played it killed the final titan just
- 1:02:20in time. We were just about to lose. Like it was wild.
- 1:02:23I think that happened to us in that other game too. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:02:29and in comes very very close every single time we play it usually down
- 1:02:32to the last player, if not their last card, like just like unreal
- 1:02:37how Shader Run too. We've we've lost Shadow Run more than once. Yeah,
- 1:02:44we've lost Shadrun. That game cannot be success. All right, well,
- 1:02:54I think that's gonna be hard for an episode, Jacks. So we
- 1:03:00get some grub, yeah, yeah, go for some barbecue now thinking about
- 1:03:06it, I'm just going to stop by One Eyed Jackson. Oh my god,
- 1:03:08that sounds so good again. I'm just gonna go drink a barbecue bottle.
- 1:03:17Sweetys. Well, I'm going to thank you, gentle listener for listening.
