- 0:31Speaker 2: you this, Amy, Sugarman, Hannah, the whole team and I
- 0:34Speaker 2: we discussed this.
- 0:34Speaker 3: We love the Goldens and why do we love them?
- 0:36Speaker 3: Because they're on time. They're on time.
- 0:39Speaker 2: They deliver emotional content, yet at the same time poignant
- 0:43Speaker 2: and thoughtful in evocative stuff. They're never late though, And
- 0:49Speaker 2: tonight one of the staples of that stable of Goldens,
- 0:56Speaker 2: Kathy was a little bit late.
- 0:58Speaker 3: And why was she late?
- 0:59Speaker 2: Well, she late because she came home with the big Guy,
- 1:01Speaker 2: the oak Tree, the big Red.
- 1:04Speaker 4: I'm sweating over here, k trained pressure.
- 1:09Speaker 2: She got on the K train to get home from
- 1:11Speaker 2: the track, and uh K train.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Might have derailed a little bit. What Keith Kathy.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Let's let's Kathy and her new best friends.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Well, that can mean a lot of things. Is that biblically?
- 1:22Speaker 2: Is that metaphorically?
- 1:24Speaker 3: Which is concern? I've never seen Kathy and her lipstick
- 1:27Speaker 3: does seem shouldn't say.
- 1:30Speaker 5: Kathy, we practiced this, we practiced this on the way.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Why is your lipstick smushed? You are always of the
- 1:35Speaker 3: perfect face face.
- 1:36Speaker 6: I'm just gonna say, oh my god, you're.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Right, people, Keith shoes for God's sake, Hell have you guys.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Let's just say the tenth Green.
- 1:55Speaker 6: Let's just say they say follow your man, never follow
- 2:00Speaker 6: anyone when they say follow me on the tenth Green.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Could you end up in the bushes?
- 2:04Speaker 4: Oh that's actually true. True, that's the truth.
- 2:12Speaker 6: To find the path back. Canadian geese squawking at us.
- 2:17Speaker 2: This is not innocent, sounds nasty. I'm not trying to
- 2:24Speaker 2: go we're PG thirteen podcasts. But we might be going
- 2:27Speaker 2: I don't know, we might be going a little different.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I don't think there was a long time ago.
- 2:34Speaker 6: In a second, I am older than Keith. Keith is
- 2:38Speaker 6: saying this is tough hills to move it. Let's say
- 2:42Speaker 6: this right, now front. Love is love, Love is life.
- 2:44Speaker 2: There's no age limit, and love where it happens the
- 2:47Speaker 2: bushes stays in the bushes.
- 2:49Speaker 3: You guys, you guys, keep you guys, keep your pedal.
- 2:52Speaker 3: You keep your.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Mates in the room.
- 2:57Speaker 2: We're staying here, were staying in this tone. No, I
- 3:01Speaker 2: will say this, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the show.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I'm so excited to be here tonight in the room
- 3:07Speaker 2: with me, Casey. But I call him c K. Look
- 3:12Speaker 2: at this guy dressed in all white. He's like, he's like,
- 3:15Speaker 2: it's like watching like Patrick McEnroe back in the day. Honestly, god,
- 3:21Speaker 2: you you had the perfect golf outfit today, c K.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Tennis.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Honestly, no, you look fantastic.
- 3:28Speaker 7: I got I got accused of tennis golf and it
- 3:34Speaker 7: was something else as something else, so.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I think badminton and perhaps a drinking scottch Yeah, Cat, yeah, yeah.
- 3:44Speaker 2: She's always great to have you here. And my friend Sandra,
- 3:46Speaker 2: you look beautiful as always. Thank you, You're welcome to
- 3:49Speaker 2: Jeff fun.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Today. I would say, Kathy, do you have fun? But
- 3:53Speaker 3: I think we all know the answer to that. She
- 3:56Speaker 3: always has fun.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Hello, best friend, It's the golden standard.
- 4:07Speaker 3: We're all best friends in this room. You know what
- 4:09Speaker 3: I'm saying.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Uh, then we of course have doctor Guy Bigelow.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I had a great time today.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I watched you today. We're weaving your magic.
- 4:22Speaker 6: Can I just add, I think, Guy, I love you
- 4:26Speaker 6: the pieces. But I think he met every blonde woman
- 4:31Speaker 6: on the golf course.
- 4:33Speaker 3: To ring no ring, shoes, no shoes. I saw him
- 4:37Speaker 3: like there was a blonde like almost person on the way.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I thought he gave her his number. She didn't have
- 4:43Speaker 3: a phone.
- 4:46Speaker 2: He's like, what I could do is like a massage,
- 4:49Speaker 2: just into your.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Doctor kicked in.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I know, well.
- 4:57Speaker 2: You're you know you took an oath. You got to
- 5:00Speaker 2: honor that practice.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:02Speaker 2: And then my man, Gary, buddy, I don't know where
- 5:05Speaker 2: you went to college, and I want to say you
- 5:10Speaker 2: went to my high school, which was Maroon and Gold.
- 5:13Speaker 2: But tonight, when I introduce you to my friend who
- 5:15Speaker 2: was from UCLA, you you got you went caustic fast.
- 5:18Speaker 8: Well you know it's Crosstown rivalries.
- 5:20Speaker 4: I know.
- 5:21Speaker 8: When he said UCLA, I said, I'm so sorry.
- 5:23Speaker 2: You saw Red University or Scarlette Cardinal and Gold Cardinal car.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Right, but U c l A.
- 5:30Speaker 8: I just said, I'm sorry, that was all.
- 5:33Speaker 3: It was a really bad decision for you, sir.
- 5:35Speaker 8: It was a good education, but sorry, that was I'm
- 5:39Speaker 8: a good education.
- 5:40Speaker 3: I mean, he's a communication that maybe like me, we
- 5:43Speaker 3: we go low, we go low, Bro.
- 5:45Speaker 2: And finally, of course Joan and Shock, Hey, let's be honest,
- 5:51Speaker 2: it's the reason why we're here. Man, missed the gold
- 5:54Speaker 2: golden's all the time. And Joan, your success with not
- 5:59Speaker 2: only the entire room here, of course we and I
- 6:03Speaker 2: count Kathy and I and I Sondra on that as well.
- 6:06Speaker 2: But you know the success of you and Shot it
- 6:09Speaker 2: doesn't create additional pressure, but because I know you don't
- 6:12Speaker 2: feel that.
- 6:13Speaker 3: But it does create reverberations of greatness.
- 6:16Speaker 8: Man.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I mean, we were at that thing today, guys. We
- 6:19Speaker 2: took over a restaurant at the Att Pebble Beach. I'm
- 6:22Speaker 2: not gonna say I had anything to do that, because
- 6:24Speaker 2: I didn't. But let's say, let's be telling. I did magic.
- 6:28Speaker 3: And pop.
- 6:31Speaker 2: And we were all together and I just area there
- 6:33Speaker 2: was a forty five minute wait at at the least Joan.
- 6:38Speaker 6: Yes, the couple that came up to us and said,
- 6:42Speaker 6: how much hope. Remember the guy talked about that the
- 6:45Speaker 6: guy that came up and said, our seasons have given
- 6:49Speaker 6: the woman that was there said how much Hope changed
- 6:52Speaker 6: her life?
- 6:53Speaker 9: Yeah, and I read that from more than one person,
- 6:55Speaker 9: which is so like you forget that like this, I
- 7:00Speaker 9: actually don't forget. In fact, I remember it often that
- 7:02Speaker 9: this season wasn't exactly about just us, that it was
- 7:04Speaker 9: about like so many people that were kind of watching
- 7:07Speaker 9: this scene if like this could be them, and like
- 7:09Speaker 9: putting themselves in our shoes, and like these guys being
- 7:13Speaker 9: the way they are, Like, I don't really take much
- 7:15Speaker 9: credit for this season because I remember when they all
- 7:18Speaker 9: got out of the limo, I said to the producers,
- 7:19Speaker 9: I'm like, the season isn't about me anymore. I'm like,
- 7:22Speaker 9: these guys are amazing, and they only performed a thousand
- 7:27Speaker 9: times better than I ever thought they would because I
- 7:30Speaker 9: did think that we were going to have a bunch
- 7:31Speaker 9: of days of pulling stuff out of them, you know,
- 7:34Speaker 9: trying to get their stories, and they like kind of
- 7:36Speaker 9: from day one, we're ready to share and like be author.
- 7:41Speaker 6: That translate into so many people out there who are
- 7:46Speaker 6: looking for love, who are in their next chapter, second phase,
- 7:50Speaker 6: last chapter, call it what you will, and the fact
- 7:52Speaker 6: that we all give them hope that they can see
- 7:56Speaker 6: that it's possible to find love.
- 7:58Speaker 2: To find you one of the things that Joan said
- 8:01Speaker 2: to me when we first met. And I didn't know
- 8:03Speaker 2: you at all of it at that first meeting, and
- 8:05Speaker 2: you said, you know, and I know this became kind
- 8:08Speaker 2: of a tagline throughout the season, but I want to
- 8:10Speaker 2: bring it back because you said, you know, I'm starting
- 8:13Speaker 2: to feel invisible, right, And it was such a I
- 8:17Speaker 2: got to tell you. It resonated with me because I
- 8:19Speaker 2: started thinking about my mom. My mom's much older than you,
- 8:22Speaker 2: but my dad had just passed away, and I was like,
- 8:25Speaker 2: I get it, Like I finally got it.
- 8:27Speaker 3: I didn't get it before then.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I think before then I thought, oh, well, you know,
- 8:32Speaker 2: life goes on and we're going to do this whole thing.
- 8:34Speaker 2: But but you have grandkids, like you should be so happy.
- 8:37Speaker 2: You don't realize that, man, Like, life changes, right, and
- 8:41Speaker 2: we all change as these changes happened. I think Andrew
- 8:44Speaker 2: said it best last night. He's like, there's all these
- 8:45Speaker 2: chapters to our lives. Chapter one is like, you know,
- 8:48Speaker 2: adolescents and stuff. Chapter two is where the normal Bachelor
- 8:51Speaker 2: season resonates, right. Chapter three is where I'm at, which
- 8:55Speaker 2: is with kids and all that.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Kind of stuff.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Chapter four is where you guys are, which is like
- 9:00Speaker 2: our lives have kind of progressed this point and now
- 9:02Speaker 2: what And then chapter five is the next one, right,
- 9:05Speaker 2: and and I'm sure there's a six, seven, and eight
- 9:07Speaker 2: for many you know, But I will say this like that,
- 9:12Speaker 2: they're all beautiful and beautiful chapters. But what I think
- 9:16Speaker 2: the Bachelor actually did write the Bachelor franchise. This is
- 9:18Speaker 2: coming from a guy who's a little bit jaded. Not
- 9:20Speaker 2: gonna lie.
- 9:22Speaker 3: We shifted gears to the right chapter.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I always do from you, big k special Okay, no, no,
- 9:29Speaker 2: I will say this, we shifted gears to the right chapter.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And so this it's a chapter that can really embolden
- 9:35Speaker 2: a bunch of people to realize that, hey man, I'm
- 9:38Speaker 2: not just here to babysit my grandkids. Now I'll do that,
- 9:41Speaker 2: and I love it, and I want to be there
- 9:44Speaker 2: for that. And this is what really resonated.
- 9:46Speaker 3: With me when you and I talked. My mom's not
- 9:48Speaker 3: here just here to babysit my grandkids. She still needs
- 9:50Speaker 3: to get out there and dance and have fun and
- 9:52Speaker 3: be a being a person. With some and I meet
- 9:56Speaker 3: you guys, and I'm like, I've said it before, we
- 9:58Speaker 3: all know this my toast uh seventeen times and revisited.
- 10:03Speaker 3: But I was the youngest person, I'm sorry, the oldest
- 10:07Speaker 3: person at these events, and all of a sudden I
- 10:10Speaker 3: became I'm not gonna say the youngest person.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I'm just gonna say with my people, and I mean
- 10:15Speaker 2: it from the standpoint of I get it, like I
- 10:17Speaker 2: do have young kids, and I'm not exactly where you
- 10:20Speaker 2: all are at life, but man, I understand it, and
- 10:23Speaker 2: I want you all to be so happy and I
- 10:25Speaker 2: love seeing you guys get together and have a blast.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I mean, Keith, we went from night one where you're like,
- 10:31Speaker 2: I don't even guy, and I think we gave each
- 10:34Speaker 2: other like seventeen bear hugs.
- 10:43Speaker 4: One of the things that you said really the fact
- 10:46Speaker 4: that makes me wonder I'm still trying to change.
- 10:50Speaker 10: You sneakers, Kathy, you know what you all need to
- 10:55Speaker 10: get your minds out of the gut that was.
- 11:03Speaker 4: That was a whole, But.
- 11:06Speaker 5: One thing you said is we're not here like I'm
- 11:10Speaker 5: looking for the day when my kids get married and
- 11:13Speaker 5: you've had grandkids and they I don't yet but I'm
- 11:16Speaker 5: not here. The old school family was. Oh, the family moves,
- 11:20Speaker 5: and there's this babysitting incorporated into being a grandparent. No,
- 11:25Speaker 5: I'm I'll be a great grandparent, but I'm going to
- 11:28Speaker 5: show them a really good time.
- 11:29Speaker 4: And by the way, hey, can you be here?
- 11:31Speaker 5: Well, I'm sorry, I'm off and having a great time
- 11:34Speaker 5: doing something.
- 11:39Speaker 4: You got to keep digging the dirt.
- 11:53Speaker 2: I always say to my my mom and my my
- 11:55Speaker 2: in laws, I'm expend it, yeah, right, laws, and my
- 12:00Speaker 2: my dad who passed away. I'm like, guys, here's my
- 12:02Speaker 2: goal for y'all. Spend it right. Don't say for me,
- 12:06Speaker 2: spend it And I think that, you know, I think
- 12:09Speaker 2: about it from the standpoint.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Of when i'm older and my.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Kids are through college, I'll be ninety eight because I'm
- 12:16Speaker 2: an idiot who had kids late in life. But I
- 12:19Speaker 2: want to be the guy that's like, you know, I've
- 12:20Speaker 2: prepared for everything. Spend it right. But I'm watching y'all
- 12:24Speaker 2: and you're not. We are very similar in age, guys.
- 12:29Speaker 2: I've been shocked by the way tonight several times to
- 12:32Speaker 2: find out ages I'm like sixty two, sixty five, I'm
- 12:36Speaker 2: like sixty six. What the hell, well, I'm not talking
- 12:40Speaker 2: about our mental age. But I'll say this, you guys like,
- 12:44Speaker 2: we're right there together. Man, Let's get through this together.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Let's be a team, you know, and let's realize that
- 12:50Speaker 2: you guys have such an impact. So here's the first
- 12:52Speaker 2: time I will tell you this, the first time I've
- 12:54Speaker 2: ever been to an event as well where other people were.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Asked for more pictures than me. Oh yeah, how about that?
- 13:02Speaker 3: And I loved it. These guys are popular. I loved it.
- 13:04Speaker 2: No, I'll say this, so Canyon knows my game, and
- 13:07Speaker 2: I think I told Chalk this tonight. So my game
- 13:09Speaker 2: is if I'm in the if I'm needy today, I'm
- 13:12Speaker 2: gonna smile on everyone to make eye contact, and I'm
- 13:14Speaker 2: taking Oh I think, I think tell Sondra this, and
- 13:16Speaker 2: I'll take probably a good thousand pictures a day.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Right.
- 13:19Speaker 2: But if I kind of want to be alone and
- 13:20Speaker 2: I want to hang out with Canyon, I'm just not
- 13:22Speaker 2: making eye contact.
- 13:22Speaker 3: I'm not smiling.
- 13:23Speaker 2: You guys will You'll learn this in time, I promise you.
- 13:26Speaker 2: The twenty years in I've got the game down. But
- 13:29Speaker 2: what I saw today was you guys could not get
- 13:33Speaker 2: out of your own way. It wasn't what you weren't
- 13:35Speaker 2: trying to do a damn thing. Everybody at that golf
- 13:38Speaker 2: outing wanted a picture with you.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Guys.
- 13:40Speaker 5: I'm to you when I get out of my hood,
- 13:42Speaker 5: out of north northern California. Yeah, people, I'm on my
- 13:45Speaker 5: last fifteen seconds of flicker.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Oh shit, yeah, but I'm in my hood.
- 13:48Speaker 5: I mean, I'm in northern California and I saw guys
- 13:51Speaker 5: from San Jose, from Pleasanton, from Danville.
- 13:54Speaker 2: No, buddy, you like that room. We come up to
- 13:56Speaker 2: the restaurant that you can't get in. Keith u herb
- 14:00Speaker 2: the wall by the way. Security is coming out of
- 14:02Speaker 2: nowhere to like like secure this this monster who's just
- 14:06Speaker 2: going over the wall. And the guy's like six six
- 14:08Speaker 2: foot ten and uh and they're like, oh, oh that's Keith.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:12Speaker 3: I went to high school with him. Like, what's up, dude?
- 14:14Speaker 3: High five in you.
- 14:15Speaker 2: It was crazy you knew everyone in town. And then
- 14:18Speaker 2: Joan and Chok walk up. Joan jumps over the wall.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Security guard gets.
- 14:22Speaker 4: A little.
- 14:25Speaker 3: He realized that he was a surprised.
- 14:27Speaker 2: He'd get angrier if it took her more time to
- 14:29Speaker 2: get back over the while she's like, I'm good.
- 14:31Speaker 4: You know, but I'm sure.
- 14:32Speaker 5: For I'm sure for in Maryland, I'm Wichit Tom, I'm
- 14:34Speaker 5: sure if we're in Palm Desert, there's a there's another world.
- 14:38Speaker 5: Like I would go to Palm Desert and everybody would
- 14:40Speaker 5: know Gary and nobody would know me. I'd go to
- 14:42Speaker 5: Wichita and everybody knows Chalk go to Maryland and everybody knows.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Here's the thing.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Guys, get used to it, okay, because what you guys
- 14:49Speaker 2: did was you shuck a nerve.
- 14:50Speaker 3: You shuck a nerve with America.
- 14:52Speaker 2: You shuck a nerve with people who want to see
- 14:55Speaker 2: people they relate to having an opportunity at happiness. There's
- 15:01Speaker 2: nothing wrong.
- 15:02Speaker 3: With that, man. And what I loved one thing, Yes please.
- 15:05Speaker 3: I think that one of.
- 15:06Speaker 6: The best things about The Golden Bachelor and the Golden
- 15:10Speaker 6: Boucherrette and this whole thing that we're doing is that people,
- 15:16Speaker 6: when we're out and about, they seiz and they say, Wow,
- 15:19Speaker 6: you really are who you are. Chalk and Joan really
- 15:23Speaker 6: are together.
- 15:25Speaker 3: You know, we really are.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Kelly, it's so funny that you say that I asked
- 15:29Speaker 2: Joan and Chalk yesterday. Gosh, I really kind of lost
- 15:33Speaker 2: track if it was this morning or yesterday.
- 15:34Speaker 3: But I think we did it twice. Actually yes, And
- 15:36Speaker 3: I said, I said, you know, uh, I was.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I was on the Bachelorette first and then the Bachelor,
- 15:43Speaker 2: and I had a period about five months where I
- 15:45Speaker 2: had to defend my relationship every day, right, because I
- 15:48Speaker 2: chose this particular person. I said, God, you ever get
- 15:50Speaker 2: sick of defending your relationship because now I'm fifty three.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Now we're in that same age. Yeah yeah, right, that
- 15:58Speaker 3: same age change.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Right, So now I'm like, man, if I had to
- 16:01Speaker 2: do that everything when I was thirty two, I was like, oh,
- 16:03Speaker 2: this is kind of funny games, right, Oh yeah, we
- 16:05Speaker 2: defend there, I'd be like, all right, take it to
- 16:08Speaker 2: leave it. I don't give a shit, right, And that's
- 16:10Speaker 2: where I know you two are because you guys are
- 16:11Speaker 2: so confident and comfortable with each other and it's so
- 16:13Speaker 2: beautiful to see.
- 16:14Speaker 9: Yeah, well, I mean I do feel like I want
- 16:17Speaker 9: to defend it a little bit because I want to
- 16:18Speaker 9: show all those people that watch the show and like
- 16:21Speaker 9: invested in this journey and then maybe are picturing themselves
- 16:25Speaker 9: as us or picturing their parents as us.
- 16:27Speaker 2: You know.
- 16:28Speaker 9: So there was a whole generation of people that like
- 16:30Speaker 9: watch this because you know, they picture their parents, so
- 16:33Speaker 9: I want to make sure that they actually know that
- 16:35Speaker 9: it worked and that this wasn't just for TV.
- 16:38Speaker 3: This is real life.
- 16:39Speaker 9: So I do feel like a responsibility of showing that.
- 16:41Speaker 9: But then you get the other people and they're like, oh,
- 16:44Speaker 9: you you are spending too much time proving that you're real.
- 16:48Speaker 9: You're just after the thing. So you can't win with
- 16:51Speaker 9: those funs.
- 16:52Speaker 3: You can't. Yeah, you'll never want with those funs.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Yes, I spent four hours, five hours with chalk on
- 16:56Speaker 5: the golf courses.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Shit.
- 16:57Speaker 5: And the biggest question I really do get, knowing that
- 17:00Speaker 5: I'm a fan of the show and stuff, is yes,
- 17:01Speaker 5: do they really love each other? And I can tell
- 17:04Speaker 5: you fans out there everywhere they love each other. They're
- 17:07Speaker 5: making this work. I mean it's time. It's like any relationship.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Don't get me wrong. I think it's going to make
- 17:14Speaker 5: the distance. I love you guys, I really really love
- 17:18Speaker 5: you two together, and I think it's awesome and I
- 17:21Speaker 5: think it's going to happen. And so when people think it's, oh,
- 17:24Speaker 5: it's for the show, Oh it's for this, Oh it's fake,
- 17:28Speaker 5: I have I'm just if I had a chairs to
- 17:30Speaker 5: you guys, I love you too so much and this
- 17:32Speaker 5: is this is an awesome thing, and I want to
- 17:34Speaker 5: tell the world that I believe in you.
- 17:36Speaker 9: And know you know us so like all of you guys, you.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Know the hell was this guy on night one?
- 17:42Speaker 11: Can I say that? Some ladies in the bathroom today
- 17:46Speaker 11: asked me when they recognized me. Then they said, are
- 17:51Speaker 11: Chuck and Joan here? I said yes. They said they're together,
- 17:54Speaker 11: and I said, oh, yes, Oh that's so fake. And
- 17:57Speaker 11: I said, no, it's real. They're together.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Are they in love? Yes?
- 18:01Speaker 5: They are?
- 18:03Speaker 11: And I told them where they were sitting. I said,
- 18:05Speaker 11: go ahead and watch them, don't saying just watch.
- 18:08Speaker 12: It's gonna work out as long as she doesn't throw
- 18:10Speaker 12: anymore of my socks.
- 18:13Speaker 3: I'll tell you guys.
- 18:16Speaker 2: So, Joan and Chock were with with a couple that's
- 18:20Speaker 2: been together for twelve years. And I will tell you
- 18:22Speaker 2: this straight up. The husband's not perfect, right, me and
- 18:25Speaker 2: my wife and uh, and I'm watching them and uh,
- 18:30Speaker 2: Canyon and Joe and are sitting together.
- 18:33Speaker 3: I'm sitting with Chalk.
- 18:34Speaker 2: And there was probably ten different instances throughout the course
- 18:37Speaker 2: the day where I probably should have been the guy
- 18:41Speaker 2: that was like oh.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Kenyon, do you need this?
- 18:43Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 18:44Speaker 2: Yeah, but I wasn't chalk every single time.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Joan, do you need that?
- 18:49Speaker 4: John?
- 18:50Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I got this because you know what, I
- 18:51Speaker 2: think it's time we should go, because I know you're
- 18:52Speaker 2: ready to go.
- 18:53Speaker 3: It's like, I'm like, jeez, man, he's making me look bad.
- 18:58Speaker 2: But he's such a thoughtful personally, and I want to
- 19:02Speaker 2: think I'm a thoughtful guy. And I really do think
- 19:04Speaker 2: that I am not compared to this guy. This guy
- 19:07Speaker 2: is and there's there's a thing about to.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Take an issue with that. I have seen you this.
- 19:12Speaker 3: I'm taking this issue with that.
- 19:13Speaker 6: I've seen you with Canyon, your beautiful wife, and she
- 19:16Speaker 6: is incredibly beautiful and kind and you too, have a
- 19:20Speaker 6: great relationship and I know about.
- 19:24Speaker 4: And she's.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Boss buddy.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Nobody tears me apart like her and I and I
- 19:32Speaker 2: actually really like it. You know, there's times when you
- 19:35Speaker 2: got to be when you want a little bit of
- 19:36Speaker 2: a reality check, and when it comes from your own
- 19:38Speaker 2: wife all the time, it's actually kind of funny.
- 19:41Speaker 3: But she's always she knows the right things to say
- 19:43Speaker 3: to me.
- 19:44Speaker 4: And I got a story on Bob and how they did.
- 19:47Speaker 6: Wait, I just have one more comment about Chalk's socks.
- 19:52Speaker 6: Say that five times fast. If you, guys, for every
- 19:57Speaker 6: pair of socks that she folded, if you are in
- 20:01Speaker 6: love for one year, for every pair of socks, you're
- 20:06Speaker 6: gonna be together till the end of time.
- 20:09Speaker 2: So yeah, Cassie, I love you, man, I love you too.
- 20:16Speaker 3: I love all of you people. I love all you people.
- 20:18Speaker 2: To guys, thank you for making so this is my
- 20:22Speaker 2: uh well, I guess it's my fourth, but teping my
- 20:23Speaker 2: third annual Pebble Beach event.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Thanks for making it the best one, you know. Thank you.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Let's be honest.
- 20:33Speaker 2: My partner's crime Andrew Firestone Magic, that guy man always
- 20:39Speaker 2: my favorite bachelor, I will So here's what we're gonna do.
- 20:45Speaker 3: We're gonna go around the room real quick.
- 20:47Speaker 2: I want to find out what was your favorite moment
- 20:50Speaker 2: of this whole time right now. Granted, we still got
- 20:54Speaker 2: one big night tonight, which is gonna go big, by
- 20:56Speaker 2: the way, because I want to get Keith next level.
- 20:59Speaker 2: And then I'm I still put a mic in your face.
- 21:01Speaker 2: I don't know I want to hear. But let's let's
- 21:03Speaker 2: go around there. Let's find out what was your best
- 21:06Speaker 2: part of the week. I'm gonna start with there with uck.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Oh, that's easy.
- 21:09Speaker 7: Yesterday golf was absolutely incredible, you know, from the coaching
- 21:13Speaker 7: to watching Kathy actually swing a club.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Kathy's a good golfer. Yeah, yeah, I got the video
- 21:19Speaker 3: to prove it.
- 21:20Speaker 2: And when you say coaching, I find that interesting because buddy, buddy,
- 21:23Speaker 2: you're a great coach.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Like you, I was a cheerleader. No, you inspired me.
- 21:29Speaker 2: There's more than once the guy that has never played golf,
- 21:32Speaker 2: but first of all showed up with the best golf fashion.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Honestly, God did he not? Gary?
- 21:37Speaker 2: I mean, Gary, you look really good. You get out there,
- 21:41Speaker 2: you wouldn't even take a T shot, and I understood
- 21:43Speaker 2: why because that's a very intimidating moment. But you would
- 21:46Speaker 2: connect on the ball every single time, and then when
- 21:48Speaker 2: you finally did take a T shot, you blew everyone's mind.
- 21:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:50Speaker 3: I mean you're a great athlete. Broh.
- 21:52Speaker 7: Yeah, thank you man. I appreciate that absolutely, Yeah, yeah,
- 21:55Speaker 7: I appreciate that.
- 21:56Speaker 3: It was fun day.
- 21:57Speaker 7: It was a great day. I had a super super
- 21:59Speaker 7: great time. I think Adam did a great job in
- 22:02Speaker 7: coordinating the event from top to bottom. I think was
- 22:07Speaker 7: very inspiring. You walk in the locker with your name on.
- 22:11Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, it's pretty.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Cool in a club that like only allows I think
- 22:15Speaker 2: two hundred and sixty four members, that was super cool.
- 22:18Speaker 7: Yeah, absolutely yeah.
- 22:20Speaker 2: How about you, Sandra, what was your favorite moment of
- 22:23Speaker 2: the weekend or maybe a moment just that resonates with you.
- 22:26Speaker 11: I don't know if it's a moment. I think it's
- 22:28Speaker 11: a feeling of being here altogether.
- 22:30Speaker 3: That's a good point I had.
- 22:31Speaker 11: I had this thought yesterday morning, like this is kind
- 22:35Speaker 11: of maybe a prelude to a Bachelor in Paradise two
- 22:39Speaker 11: point zero or because for me this first time men
- 22:43Speaker 11: and women from both ends of the franchise have been together,
- 22:48Speaker 11: so kind of had that sensation.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Yeah, well that's very interesting. I love that.
- 22:54Speaker 2: How about you, Kathy? I mean, Kathy, you're you're a regular.
- 22:57Speaker 2: You and I have been.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Together a lot, so it was not enough, not as much.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Charger strategically, strategically, I love strategically.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Key a ton of time together. I adore you and
- 23:27Speaker 3: you know that. And how was this week?
- 23:30Speaker 6: I gotta say, I can't pick a moment because getting
- 23:36Speaker 6: to know your wife Canyon was such a joy for me,
- 23:39Speaker 6: really a high point for me. Thank you, But visiting
- 23:43Speaker 6: and getting to all these guys better is a joy.
- 23:48Speaker 6: But for me, the moment when I just like was
- 23:52Speaker 6: walking back tonight and looking out at that water and
- 23:55Speaker 6: the sunset and being so grateful for life and this
- 23:59Speaker 6: whole expert, I can't pick one moment.
- 24:01Speaker 3: What about what Keith like moved in to kiss you?
- 24:03Speaker 3: What was that like? You know what? You know what?
- 24:07Speaker 3: I cannot I cannot tell a lie, Keith? Are just friends?
- 24:14Speaker 3: Damn it, damn it. I hate that. I would love
- 24:18Speaker 3: the next episode. You know what the next episode is?
- 24:21Speaker 3: What is that? Where would the grass stands?
- 24:37Speaker 2: All right, Keith, let's talk about this, buddy. It was
- 24:41Speaker 2: a big day to day.
- 24:43Speaker 5: I'm just going to resonate what a lot of people said.
- 24:44Speaker 5: It's not just it's there's not one moment. It's about
- 24:47Speaker 5: meeting new people. I mean, I didn't know who you were, Bob,
- 24:49Speaker 5: and now.
- 24:49Speaker 3: I do you know me? And why didn't you know?
- 24:55Speaker 3: Why did you think you lost.
- 24:57Speaker 4: And you lost your hair? So you were.
- 25:01Speaker 3: How do you make your compliment in a negative.
- 25:05Speaker 4: You're looking better? You know you cut your hair? Put
- 25:10Speaker 4: you up? After that one podcast?
- 25:12Speaker 2: Which which podcast is Zechi? The one that will never
- 25:14Speaker 2: see the light of day. We love you, we love you,
- 25:18Speaker 2: love thank you, buddy.
- 25:21Speaker 4: Let me keep going. But I love everybody, meeting you,
- 25:28Speaker 4: but meeting everybody.
- 25:29Speaker 5: And the one thing you know, people will always think
- 25:32Speaker 5: is we get together and you build bonds with new
- 25:34Speaker 5: people and the goldens come together. They always try to
- 25:37Speaker 5: put more into it than it really is. We can
- 25:40Speaker 5: be great friends and have and I've got new great
- 25:44Speaker 5: friends and relationships with these people, and I'm building the
- 25:47Speaker 5: bonds with the guys that already have too. So I
- 25:50Speaker 5: think it's just building more, growing more. It's just a
- 25:55Speaker 5: good feeling.
- 25:56Speaker 2: I actually think that's a beautiful thing to say, because
- 25:57Speaker 2: here's the thing. Friendship is the foundation of all this stuff.
- 26:00Speaker 2: So we meet, like, for example, Andrew Firestone and I
- 26:04Speaker 2: when we met, it was a weird time, right, Like
- 26:07Speaker 2: Andrew had just come off being the Bachelor.
- 26:10Speaker 3: I'm the new Bachelor.
- 26:11Speaker 2: My season hasn't been aired yet, And Chris Harrison is
- 26:14Speaker 2: told to read the words America's favorite Bachelor, Bob getting
- 26:16Speaker 2: Andrew was just a bachelor that has to hurt your feelings, right.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Andrew doesn't care. He's like, no, let's go, buddy, I mean,
- 26:23Speaker 2: and so he and I formed a friendship that night,
- 26:25Speaker 2: and we've been such great friends forever.
- 26:29Speaker 3: And he was this guy who's got.
- 26:30Speaker 2: The most iconic name in America, and I'm a kid
- 26:33Speaker 2: from South Detroit, right, and we connect. And that's what
- 26:38Speaker 2: the beauty of the show is is that it can
- 26:40Speaker 2: bring people from all different places to this common ground
- 26:43Speaker 2: and you guys share it together. You don't need a
- 26:46Speaker 2: bunch of stuff to be in common, you just need
- 26:48Speaker 2: one we talk about.
- 26:50Speaker 5: We talk all the time, this group of guys and
- 26:53Speaker 5: all the other guys. There are so many text threads,
- 26:55Speaker 5: different ones. I talked to Mark after Christmas, you know,
- 26:59Speaker 5: I talked to Dan calls me out of the blue gun, dude.
- 27:02Speaker 4: We haven't talked for like a month. It seemed like
- 27:05Speaker 4: like what I do.
- 27:09Speaker 5: But yeah, we're talking all the time about new things
- 27:13Speaker 5: in life and it's not about what you're dating or
- 27:15Speaker 5: it's about family weather.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Well, you guys established that though, Keith, I mean, I
- 27:21Speaker 2: think one of the things that that Joan made an
- 27:24Speaker 2: okay topic was for you guys to be vulnerable.
- 27:27Speaker 3: I've heard that word a lot more this week and
- 27:29Speaker 3: about me.
- 27:30Speaker 7: Let me give you it's when it's when when any
- 27:33Speaker 7: of the guys are coming through any part of California. Sure,
- 27:36Speaker 7: they'll call and they'll go, hey, see Kim, Hey I'm
- 27:40Speaker 7: in Soca. Yeah, and I'll go, hey, don't book a hotel.
- 27:43Speaker 7: You come and say, I don't have any furniture in
- 27:45Speaker 7: my house, but you can.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Come, you know.
- 27:48Speaker 5: Yeah, let's give a couple of minutes of Joan On. Seriously,
- 27:53Speaker 5: she created an environment for us where we weren't we're
- 27:56Speaker 5: not fighting. She she made us all feel special.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Yeah, it does start at the top, I will tell you.
- 28:03Speaker 12: Then.
- 28:04Speaker 5: Then the culture you built, a culture, built a culture
- 28:08Speaker 5: for us that allowed us to be who we were,
- 28:10Speaker 5: to pursue a love with you, whether it was going
- 28:13Speaker 5: to go anywhere or not. But yet, like from my
- 28:17Speaker 5: own experience, we're friends all of a sudden. I felt
- 28:20Speaker 5: that moment when we were just going to be friends,
- 28:21Speaker 5: and I just knew it.
- 28:24Speaker 2: I think it's safe to say everyone in this room
- 28:26Speaker 2: loves Joan Look right, we all love you, but it's
- 28:30Speaker 2: it's in different ways. Obviously you're in Chalk's love is
- 28:32Speaker 2: much different. We have this love of friendship and I
- 28:36Speaker 2: had that with Trista. I will tell you that, and
- 28:38Speaker 2: I still do do this day and twenty two years
- 28:40Speaker 2: later and we're still one. We talk every day. So
- 28:43Speaker 2: it's like, you know, that is one of those things.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Her husband is one of my very best friends who
- 28:46Speaker 2: I admire.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I respect. Yeah, it's like you know, you you
- 28:50Speaker 3: can and Trista will throw me on a rail. We
- 28:53Speaker 3: were in Lake Tahoe.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Hannah might remember this, but we're in Tahoe and Tristan
- 28:58Speaker 2: ryan'sun Max's there.
- 28:59Speaker 3: He's fifteen, and he's on his phone.
- 29:00Speaker 2: He doesn't give a shit, and and she goes, I'm Max,
- 29:04Speaker 2: do you remember mister Guinea? And he's like, hey, what's up?
- 29:07Speaker 2: And she goes my ex boyfriend and she's never called me.
- 29:10Speaker 3: That in front of anyone ever. And I'm just like
- 29:12Speaker 3: I was so comfortable and that is like, hey, what's up.
- 29:16Speaker 3: He goes back to but it was like that thirty.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Seconds and Ryan starts laughing and I'm like, oh my god,
- 29:21Speaker 2: I'm like uncomfortable laughing. But it was like that moment
- 29:23Speaker 2: where you're like, oh my god, I guess we do
- 29:25Speaker 2: kind of have that history.
- 29:25Speaker 3: I mean, we weren't really like yeah, but.
- 29:28Speaker 2: It's one of those things. This is a this is
- 29:29Speaker 2: a bond that you're going to share for the rest
- 29:31Speaker 2: of your lives.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Right, it's a unique moment. It's weird.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Right when someone says, hey, have you ever done online dating?
- 29:37Speaker 2: You go, no, I do it the old fashioned way.
- 29:39Speaker 2: I hand up roases on TV. That's what I say. Anyway,
- 29:43Speaker 2: So let's go to doctor Guy. I want to say.
- 29:46Speaker 2: I gotta say it one last time, and I promise
- 29:48Speaker 2: you I'll put it the better tonight, Doctor Guy.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Bigielow mail Jigielow.
- 29:53Speaker 2: So, doctor g Doctor G rolls in? Are you does
- 29:57Speaker 2: that make I got to ask you, honest, I've asked
- 29:59Speaker 2: every certain Does that make you mad? When I say,
- 30:01Speaker 2: does it make you laugh?
- 30:02Speaker 5: Laugh?
- 30:03Speaker 2: Okay, that's the thing. It's meant to make you laugh.
- 30:07Speaker 2: But I will say what I lost you? Uh you
- 30:10Speaker 2: know you've had some moments.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Man, where you you are?
- 30:12Speaker 2: You're a good looking guy. Yeah right, you're out there.
- 30:15Speaker 2: You you're getting the hot up.
- 30:17Speaker 3: I saw you flexing next to me. I'm like, what
- 30:18Speaker 3: the So I started doing some flexing too. I'm like, okay,
- 30:26Speaker 3: I can do some I can do some lat extensions.
- 30:29Speaker 3: But yeah, yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 2: He pulls up next year and he's just stops doing
- 30:34Speaker 2: like dips. He's like doing dips on the bedside table
- 30:37Speaker 2: like doctor guy. But no, man, I'll tell you what, dude,
- 30:43Speaker 2: You're You're a fun person to hang out with. Have
- 30:45Speaker 2: you have you had a fun time this week.
- 30:47Speaker 4: It's been a fantastic week.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I mean, I'm looking forward to this for well, since
- 30:52Speaker 1: I know the fy this, I just was so excited
- 30:55Speaker 1: about it.
- 30:55Speaker 4: And you know, when you're talking about what.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Moment, the whole thing was great, but the moment, I remember,
- 31:00Speaker 1: it was the very first image of this this trip
- 31:03Speaker 1: for me. I'm in the had to layover in l A. S.
- 31:07Speaker 1: And I'm going to the gate and I'm looking at
- 31:11Speaker 1: you know, the people sitting in chairs, and there's the
- 31:14Speaker 1: silhouettes of c K and Gary and their backs are
- 31:18Speaker 1: to me, and I just I just got this sense
- 31:20Speaker 1: of just joy and happiness, and I just ran up
- 31:23Speaker 1: and I just just gave it both bear hunts right there.
- 31:26Speaker 4: And that was so special.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I mean, we just yeah, yeah, weirdo.
- 31:31Speaker 8: It wasn't great.
- 31:33Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, hi, you random guys that I thought
- 31:36Speaker 3: you looked like, yeah, no, but it was.
- 31:39Speaker 1: And the people around us they just could sense it
- 31:42Speaker 1: because we were all we just no, no, no, no,
- 31:45Speaker 1: he's being modest.
- 31:46Speaker 7: I'm telling you the whole Get forty eighty four was
- 31:49Speaker 7: a rustless I mean.
- 31:51Speaker 4: People came, I know you guys, and oh.
- 31:54Speaker 3: Yeah, well, guys, I watched it today.
- 31:55Speaker 2: C K, I watched it today. I was watching you
- 31:58Speaker 2: all out there today. And you know, the one thing
- 32:02Speaker 2: that will will breed more of it is one person
- 32:05Speaker 2: noticing you. Yeah, right, And I would see the one
- 32:07Speaker 2: person notice you, guys, And I'm sitting over in the
- 32:09Speaker 2: side eating my cheeseburger.
- 32:11Speaker 3: And I'm like, hmm, that's interesting. And then it keeps
- 32:14Speaker 3: on just building. And guys, here's here's a true.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Barometer of the effect you guys have had on American
- 32:23Speaker 2: pop culture. You're at a golf event today where everyone
- 32:26Speaker 2: is relatively reserved, right, they're not and and and they're
- 32:30Speaker 2: around a bunch of they're around Scottie Scheffler, and they're
- 32:32Speaker 2: around all these amazing golf pros.
- 32:34Speaker 7: Right.
- 32:35Speaker 2: They are drawn to y'all because they relate to you,
- 32:38Speaker 2: They relate to your experiences. They want to find love too,
- 32:41Speaker 2: whether they're younger, older, whatever it might be. And you
- 32:45Speaker 2: guys represent one portion of each of them, you know,
- 32:50Speaker 2: and they they they find you, and they are excited
- 32:52Speaker 2: to meet you. And and what you guys do, which
- 32:55Speaker 2: I love, like I saw Gary do it more than
- 32:57Speaker 2: once today, Hey hold on, hold on, you see my
- 32:59Speaker 2: other buddy out there, and it's like, you know, we're
- 33:02Speaker 2: so excited about it, so we're happy about it, and
- 33:05Speaker 2: I think that, you know, it's something that that excitement
- 33:07Speaker 2: and that enthusiasm carries over and it's just magic.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Man. I love it, like I really love it.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Because I remember being on the first season of Trista's
- 33:17Speaker 2: Bachelorette and I told Joan this today, so I mean,
- 33:20Speaker 2: this would be very respectful and in a wonderful way.
- 33:24Speaker 2: We were criticized at that time for the guys being
- 33:28Speaker 2: too good a buddies, right, like, hey, what do these do?
- 33:31Speaker 3: We're not here to.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Shoot dudes soup in a hot tub, right. It's like, no, man,
- 33:35Speaker 2: we're friends, and I love these guys like I genuinely did.
- 33:40Speaker 2: I'm not competing with this guy. Joe's gonna love who
- 33:42Speaker 2: she's gonna love. I want to be friends with these guys.
- 33:45Speaker 2: It doesn't matter if I'm putting this dude down or
- 33:47Speaker 2: building them up.
- 33:48Speaker 4: So still you still love. Of course, We're gonna love
- 33:53Speaker 4: Joan forever.
- 33:54Speaker 6: But here's something it's reality TV. It's no, that's not
- 34:00Speaker 6: or it's going it's reality TV. But people who see
- 34:03Speaker 6: us set events like this find it's real that that's
- 34:08Speaker 6: the real reality that we are friends and that's.
- 34:11Speaker 3: What makes them so happy. And I know you've all
- 34:14Speaker 3: seen it.
- 34:15Speaker 9: Yeah, that's kind of like what my favorite part about
- 34:17Speaker 9: this whole thing was was that, like I always pictured
- 34:20Speaker 9: and I don't think this ever has been true in
- 34:22Speaker 9: Bachelor history, that two seasons of people, so a season
- 34:26Speaker 9: of women and a season of men, that the whole
- 34:28Speaker 9: everybody that are Bachelor fans wants to see all these
- 34:31Speaker 9: people meet. I don't think it's ever happened before. I
- 34:33Speaker 9: don't think it happened.
- 34:34Speaker 3: You're the kind I just realize that you're the common connection.
- 34:38Speaker 9: I think I'm just happened to be part of that equation.
- 34:41Speaker 9: But I think it was like everybody knew that all
- 34:43Speaker 9: these guys would be friends. So like, maybe my favorite
- 34:45Speaker 9: moment is sitting in this room right now, like all
- 34:47Speaker 9: of this isn't this weird?
- 34:48Speaker 3: Been together.
- 34:51Speaker 9: Microphones and like because people, this is what people wanted
- 34:54Speaker 9: to see. They wanted to see these two seasons of
- 34:56Speaker 9: people like become friends and you're doing.
- 35:00Speaker 3: A natural fit and it's very real. It's all right,
- 35:09Speaker 3: ge man, We're gonna go to you net Garrett.
- 35:10Speaker 2: So you you're the first person that I interviewed from
- 35:14Speaker 2: the Golden franchise and we have a special friendship.
- 35:20Speaker 3: I can't remember where you went to college. But the
- 35:22Speaker 3: point is I love you. Look at his outfit is
- 35:29Speaker 3: if you look at his golf bag, you're like, is
- 35:31Speaker 3: this guy like getting paid by.
- 35:34Speaker 8: When you invest the kind of money you do.
- 35:38Speaker 3: University.
- 35:38Speaker 8: You want to make sure that you're representing the colors
- 35:42Speaker 8: that we that we carry.
- 35:43Speaker 4: That's true.
- 35:44Speaker 3: I know it's true.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Brother, So tell me, man, what was your favorite part
- 35:47Speaker 2: of this weekend? Because I mean, I know you, I
- 35:50Speaker 2: feel like I know you, but I I don't think
- 35:52Speaker 2: I know you that well, but I would say I
- 35:53Speaker 2: feel like I know you and I feel like you
- 35:54Speaker 2: had a million moments you loved.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Yeah, it was.
- 35:59Speaker 8: It was pretty amazing. And and I say that because
- 36:02Speaker 8: from the time before we got on the plane, Randon
- 36:07Speaker 8: can then guy showed up, and then when we arrived
- 36:12Speaker 8: here in town, it's like a layering, right, and the
- 36:16Speaker 8: golfing and you know, meeting Adam and the the men's
- 36:23Speaker 8: locker room and the jacuzzi and the hot tub afterwards.
- 36:28Speaker 4: Winding down and then and then.
- 36:33Speaker 8: And then and then the culmination of today walking around
- 36:38Speaker 8: and the impact that we have on people's lives beautiful.
- 36:43Speaker 2: And I saw I saw a lot of young people
- 36:47Speaker 2: come up to you, guys, and and they would they
- 36:49Speaker 2: would be so excited.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, and it's like, it's not that's the thing.
- 36:55Speaker 2: I think, this, this whole thing transcends the age gap,
- 36:58Speaker 2: you know, like I think I think he even maybe
- 37:00Speaker 2: I put too much on the age.
- 37:02Speaker 5: And so.
- 37:04Speaker 8: Seeing that and the impact that we have, but then
- 37:07Speaker 8: also carrying on us, each of us that definition of celebrity,
- 37:15Speaker 8: but still being humbled about that definition of celebrity, because
- 37:21Speaker 8: there were some women that were in tears when they
- 37:26Speaker 8: saw us jumping up and down with like excitement that
- 37:32Speaker 8: we wanted to help them continue to have that and
- 37:37Speaker 8: hold on to that. And that's what was special for me,
- 37:40Speaker 8: was just being humbled at how impactful each of us
- 37:46Speaker 8: have been in someone's life. And the journey continues, and
- 37:52Speaker 8: I'm having a great time with it.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Well, guys, I'm twenty two years in and I will
- 37:57Speaker 2: tell you it's still remarkable when you can affect someone
- 38:00Speaker 2: and you can go, oh my gosh, well thanks.
- 38:02Speaker 3: You know, I downplayed a.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Lot and I you know, the self deprecating moments are
- 38:07Speaker 2: my favorite types of moments. But I will tell you
- 38:10Speaker 2: that it's nice when someone go, oh my gosh, I
- 38:12Speaker 2: loved you on this thing and you can just go, wow,
- 38:14Speaker 2: thank you so much, you know, and that means a
- 38:17Speaker 2: lot to me, And it really does. And people go,
- 38:18Speaker 2: I'm sure you're sick of hearing it. No, I'm never
- 38:21Speaker 2: sick of hearing it. Thank you for taking the time
- 38:24Speaker 2: to actually acknowledge that. You know.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Now we're down to Joanah chalk Oh. I love you, guys.
- 38:43Speaker 3: I will tell you this.
- 38:44Speaker 2: I feel like we've gotten to know each other over
- 38:47Speaker 2: the last few months in a really wonderful way. But
- 38:52Speaker 2: I don't know, I just feel like this one was
- 38:53Speaker 2: next level. This was different for us, right. I feel
- 38:55Speaker 2: like we went to the next level as friends. And
- 38:58Speaker 2: I love that Canyon was here. So you got to
- 38:59Speaker 2: meet my wife too, so I'm not just this dude
- 39:01Speaker 2: who talks about her but she doesn't exist like Kathy's
- 39:04Speaker 2: met her before.
- 39:05Speaker 4: But I am.
- 39:07Speaker 2: I really enjoy you guys as a couple. I enjoy
- 39:10Speaker 2: you guys as a couple because your people I can
- 39:12Speaker 2: see myself being friends with. And what I think people
- 39:16Speaker 2: need to know is that, yes, did it come from
- 39:19Speaker 2: a TV show?
- 39:20Speaker 3: Is it produced? Is it reality?
- 39:22Speaker 2: Which means nothing's real? Sure, all those things probably apply, right,
- 39:26Speaker 2: But every now and then someone comes out of this thing.
- 39:30Speaker 2: I mean, Tristan and Ryan have two kids and have
- 39:32Speaker 2: been married for twenty years, and it's like, is it
- 39:36Speaker 2: real enough for you America? You know, and you guys
- 39:40Speaker 2: are at this different stage of your life. And I
- 39:41Speaker 2: think Andrew said it best last night. You know, there's
- 39:43Speaker 2: these chapters, and you guys have this chapter where it's like, hey,
- 39:47Speaker 2: guess what we're going to decide how our future works out.
- 39:49Speaker 3: If we do it together, whether we put a ring
- 39:52Speaker 3: on it or we don't. We're a couple and we're
- 39:54Speaker 3: for real.
- 39:56Speaker 2: And I love how you guys are and why I
- 39:58Speaker 2: love it is that I love how you Joan look
- 40:01Speaker 2: out for Chalk and Chock's like I'm just.
- 40:04Speaker 3: An accessory, but Shock is always looking out for you too.
- 40:11Speaker 3: It's just it's really right.
- 40:13Speaker 2: It's beautiful, man, and it's a real relationship. You got
- 40:17Speaker 2: my my, Uh, what do I say, Hannah, do I
- 40:19Speaker 2: say I ship it?
- 40:21Speaker 3: I ship it. I don't know what the real term is,
- 40:23Speaker 3: but I'm shipping it.
- 40:25Speaker 4: Is that what I say?
- 40:26Speaker 3: Is there a new term? Is the better term? No,
- 40:28Speaker 3: I'm shipping it. So this means I say that I'm
- 40:31Speaker 3: in or whatever. I agree, I approve it.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Uh. But I love you guys, man, and I and
- 40:36Speaker 2: I really am excited, Like I feel like like Chalk's
- 40:39Speaker 2: that guy and we all feel this way. I know
- 40:42Speaker 2: he talked about it. Chock's that guy. He's like, well,
- 40:44Speaker 2: I'm not a big sports guy, but you can sit
- 40:46Speaker 2: there and talk sports with Chalk and he knows everything
- 40:48Speaker 2: you want to talk about, you know, or you want
- 40:50Speaker 2: to talk about food, you want to talk about whiskey,
- 40:51Speaker 2: you want to talk about and.
- 40:55Speaker 3: There all day.
- 40:56Speaker 2: We got our strikes, baby, but we also have the
- 41:00Speaker 2: one thing that he never tires about talking about, which
- 41:02Speaker 2: is his love for you. Joan and you guys are
- 41:06Speaker 2: just a magic couple. So real quick talk, your reflections
- 41:11Speaker 2: of the day, and then I want to hear about
- 41:13Speaker 2: Jones reflections of the whole time.
- 41:14Speaker 12: I got a few things that I need to say
- 41:16Speaker 12: the almost famous podcast. Thank you very much, Thank you
- 41:20Speaker 12: brought us all here together. So we appreciate you hosting iHeartRadio.
- 41:24Speaker 12: We really do appreciate that. I'm a very lucky guy
- 41:28Speaker 12: number one to be here for a lot of reasons.
- 41:31Speaker 12: And I was lucky to be on the show, lucky
- 41:33Speaker 12: to meet all you people, but then also lucky to
- 41:36Speaker 12: welcome Joan into my life, which you know, just you know,
- 41:40Speaker 12: what do you say? It just and we do get
- 41:42Speaker 12: along very well, and that's what you need people to know.
- 41:45Speaker 12: But also I need to kind of on a little
- 41:46Speaker 12: somber note. I'm from Witchtalk, Kansas and most everyone read
- 41:49Speaker 12: about the plane crash, yes, sir, And I'm not aware
- 41:52Speaker 12: of anybody that I know that was involved in it,
- 41:55Speaker 12: but there was a lot of young people sixty I
- 41:58Speaker 12: think sixty seven people totally lost their lives and it's
- 42:01Speaker 12: just a horrific accident, and I just you know, and
- 42:05Speaker 12: they're investigating people going what's going on? You know, you
- 42:08Speaker 12: get calls, text and all that. We don't know yet,
- 42:10Speaker 12: but it's a loss of life. And it's another reason too.
- 42:13Speaker 12: I don't want to take anything away from that, but
- 42:15Speaker 12: especially as we get a little older, you've got to
- 42:17Speaker 12: live your life and you've got to enjoy it.
- 42:19Speaker 4: You never know.
- 42:19Speaker 12: Both Joan and I have taken that flight back. It's
- 42:21Speaker 12: a direct flight from what you saw to Reagan, Dallas
- 42:25Speaker 12: or DC, and I mean, you just never know. So
- 42:29Speaker 12: you have to enjoy life, and you've got to live
- 42:31Speaker 12: a good life and whatever your definition of good is.
- 42:34Speaker 12: But again, thank you for the almost famous podcast to
- 42:37Speaker 12: bring us all together, because it's a great way and
- 42:40Speaker 12: it's a way for us to continue our relationship and
- 42:44Speaker 12: our friendships but also to grow on them. So it's
- 42:46Speaker 12: really helped all of us because I know it's going
- 42:48Speaker 12: to help us keep in touch even more. And then
- 42:50Speaker 12: there's some conversations that we've had that we never really
- 42:53Speaker 12: got to finalize, the guys that were on the show,
- 42:57Speaker 12: and it's been very good for some things that happened
- 42:59Speaker 12: or how you were feeling, those types of things. So really,
- 43:02Speaker 12: thank you. Thank you to everybody that's been here. Much appreciated.
- 43:05Speaker 2: Now, thank you, Chuck. I mean, you're absolutely right. We
- 43:08Speaker 2: our hearts go out to everyone that was involved in
- 43:10Speaker 2: the incident that happened with it. I mean, oh my gosh,
- 43:13Speaker 2: that was just tragic, and I mean at least seventy
- 43:16Speaker 2: sixty some lives lost and man, that's so true, and
- 43:20Speaker 2: that is a common flight for y'all. So yeah, I'm
- 43:23Speaker 2: sure it hits very close to home.
- 43:25Speaker 3: So you know, my heart goes out, our hearts go
- 43:27Speaker 3: out at iHeart to everyone as well, Joan.
- 43:32Speaker 2: I mean, this was this was an interesting week for you.
- 43:34Speaker 2: I'm sure, right, I mean, it was you. I'm sure
- 43:39Speaker 2: have seen a lot of people in this room. But
- 43:41Speaker 2: there's also some people in this room, like these are
- 43:42Speaker 2: guys you dated in the in the past, and.
- 43:45Speaker 4: And we're.
- 43:49Speaker 3: You're you're with the love of your life and you're
- 43:51Speaker 3: with the guy that you need to be with.
- 43:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, I know, you're with the love of
- 43:57Speaker 2: your life, with the guy I hate, Beudy, I've been
- 43:59Speaker 2: going through.
- 43:59Speaker 3: With for twenty years.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're also in a room with people that
- 44:04Speaker 2: you dated previously and that you were wondering, like, where's
- 44:08Speaker 2: my life going with these guys or whatever.
- 44:10Speaker 3: But you know, it's so it's such a testament to
- 44:14Speaker 3: how this show.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Works, Like it could just be a weird social science experiment,
- 44:21Speaker 2: or it could be a situation where it puts mature
- 44:24Speaker 2: people and I mean I mean mature emotionally, not mature age.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Wise, by the way.
- 44:29Speaker 2: And I say that only because we were talking about
- 44:31Speaker 2: this day, like we're sick of the whole age thing
- 44:33Speaker 2: with the golden thing, right, the mature emotional side of things.
- 44:38Speaker 2: You know, you're in a room with a bunch of
- 44:39Speaker 2: guys that you dated and it's no big deal. It's
- 44:44Speaker 2: no big deal, and that is I do believe it
- 44:46Speaker 2: starts at the top. I really say that, and I
- 44:47Speaker 2: mean that it starts with the lead of the show.
- 44:49Speaker 2: So you create the environment that you want.
- 44:52Speaker 5: To be in.
- 44:53Speaker 2: So like for me, my big thing when I was
- 44:54Speaker 2: a bachelor was I was like, guys, this is no prize. Okay,
- 44:58Speaker 2: so let's not fight overst thing.
- 44:59Speaker 3: It's a train.
- 45:00Speaker 2: But how about this, Let's get along, let's have fun.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Let's see let's oh I did. I'm not gonna set
- 45:06Speaker 2: the bar right way down here, and I'm just gonna
- 45:08Speaker 2: hit a pop up. But Joe, I mean, you are
- 45:11Speaker 2: such a classy and wonderful woman and I adore you
- 45:15Speaker 2: as a person, and you come into the situation and
- 45:18Speaker 2: it's a challenge, it is. And then not knowing that,
- 45:23Speaker 2: the after effect was like, well, I guess I'm gonna
- 45:25Speaker 2: have to kind of keep these other dudes in my
- 45:27Speaker 2: life for the next year or so.
- 45:31Speaker 3: You and Chalk both to be so cool with it.
- 45:34Speaker 2: I love it, I really love it, and I think
- 45:36Speaker 2: it says a lot about your confidence and your relationship
- 45:39Speaker 2: the strength of your love.
- 45:42Speaker 3: But you know, you come into this.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Week and you had a lot of work to do.
- 45:45Speaker 2: You've been very busy, You've had a lot of but
- 45:48Speaker 2: you're still showing up to everything with a smile, and
- 45:50Speaker 2: I love that about you.
- 45:52Speaker 3: How is this week for you? I mean I'm seeing
- 45:54Speaker 3: it from a thirty thousand feet how is this week
- 45:57Speaker 3: for you?
- 45:58Speaker 9: Well, first of all, thank you for all those like
- 45:59Speaker 9: reach to kill those compliments. I don't take compliments very well.
- 46:02Speaker 9: Oh like I used to want to, like, you know,
- 46:04Speaker 9: crawl into the covers right now. But I appreciate it
- 46:07Speaker 9: and I love you right back. And I have had
- 46:09Speaker 9: like the greatest time getting to know you. You know,
- 46:11Speaker 9: we always do podcasts, yeah, and we never just get
- 46:13Speaker 9: to be us, you know, normal people, and we've got
- 46:16Speaker 9: to do that finally, you know, those last few days.
- 46:18Speaker 9: So this has been such like a joy. You need
- 46:19Speaker 9: to know you and your wife. But as far as
- 46:22Speaker 9: like being here with like these people that I love
- 46:26Speaker 9: and this includes my two my good friends here, and
- 46:29Speaker 9: you know, we have this kind of relationship amongst us
- 46:31Speaker 9: girls from the Golden Bachelor season.
- 46:33Speaker 3: We're really really, really close.
- 46:35Speaker 9: But I wanted to make sure that everybody left my
- 46:40Speaker 9: season whole and that they knew exactly how special they were,
- 46:44Speaker 9: and that like if it wasn't a romantic glove that
- 46:48Speaker 9: we ended up with, that there is completely different kind
- 46:51Speaker 9: of love and that's this friendship that we have, and
- 46:54Speaker 9: that when you go through this kind of weird journey
- 46:57Speaker 9: dating on national TV and you signed up for this,
- 47:00Speaker 9: so you say, Okay, I'm going to do what I
- 47:02Speaker 9: signed up to do out there. Yeah, I am going
- 47:05Speaker 9: to like not hold back and I'm going to show
- 47:08Speaker 9: them everything. And these guys, every one of them did,
- 47:11Speaker 9: and so like all so Rose ceremonies were particularly hard,
- 47:15Speaker 9: and everybody understood that.
- 47:17Speaker 3: And I didn't want anybody to leave feeling.
- 47:19Speaker 9: Hurt or that like choose them or like that we
- 47:23Speaker 9: you know, I don't know that they were not good enough,
- 47:26Speaker 9: because you know, everyone was like, honestly, I'm like you
- 47:29Speaker 9: way too.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Good for me.
- 47:31Speaker 3: Well, we talked about it today. You're breaking up with
- 47:33Speaker 3: people have done nothing wrong. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, so it's painful.
- 47:38Speaker 3: Everything there supposed to do well.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Johan and I were talking today, I said, I I
- 47:42Speaker 2: remember being the Bachelor and thinking, gosh, I'm breaking up
- 47:44Speaker 2: with people who have done nothing wrong. It's just that
- 47:47Speaker 2: I'm I'm breaking up with them because I'm not feeling
- 47:50Speaker 2: as strong a feelings as I'm feeling for this person.
- 47:53Speaker 3: A different kind of love, yeah, are different kind of
- 47:55Speaker 3: like every person that.
- 47:56Speaker 9: Walked out of that Rost ceremony room. I I felt like,
- 48:01Speaker 9: when this is all over and I can finally reconnect
- 48:03Speaker 9: with them, I need to make sure that they were
- 48:06Speaker 9: whole and that you know that just because it wasn't
- 48:08Speaker 9: a romantic love doesn't mean that I don't I love
- 48:10Speaker 9: I don't love them.
- 48:11Speaker 3: As much as I'm It's a kind thing. It's a
