Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: We got another Moscher mail bag Monday edition of Football
- 0:04at Four. Jeff Boscher, of course, is a host of
- 0:07the Inside the Birds podcast with Adam Kaplan Andrew Toiceco.
- 0:10They joined us each and every day at four o'clock
- 0:13for Football at four here on the Sports Bash Live
- 0:16on ninety seven three ESPN. A lot of people today
- 0:18obviously talking Jalen Hurts. You and I talked about Hurts
- 0:21on Wednesday show, Jeff. He was kind of the basis
- 0:24of the topic of conversation. Somebody asked me what the
- 0:27story of the Eagles was for me, and I said,
- 0:29what's the next act for Jalen Hurts? Well, of course
- 0:32the list season is here. Jalen Hurts coming in at
- 0:35number nine on the list has some people up in arms,
- 0:37and we've talked about the disrespect that Jalen Hurts has had.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Does nine feel about right for you?
- 0:44Speaker 1: Jaden Daniels on that list at number five overall? Evan
- 0:48Cohen was on with us earlier. He thinks that Hurts
- 0:51is the most disrespected quarterback in the NFL. Why do
- 0:55we think that that Hurts is so polarizing?
- 0:59Speaker 3: Oh man?
- 1:00Speaker 4: And you know, I think we talked about it in
- 1:01the last episode right or last time we were even
- 1:04discussing this.
- 1:05Speaker 3: It has a lot to do with.
- 1:07Speaker 5: How the rest of the league views the entire Eagles roster,
- 1:11how Jalen Hurts himself plays the game. They are all
- 1:16variety of reasons of why.
- 1:21Speaker 4: The rankings for Jalen probably aren't as high as Eagles
- 1:24fans would like it to be and consider it disrespectful.
- 1:28But listen, I think that there's something to also be
- 1:30said where if you ask like enough people who are
- 1:36objective or who have a good understanding of the game,
- 1:39who are analysts, and who are being fair, and Jalen
- 1:43Hurts keeps coming up outside of the top five, then
- 1:47that probably speaks to something about how we in Philadelphia
- 1:51or fans in Philadelphia viewing versus the rest of the league.
- 1:55A lot of these people who are taking these surveys,
- 1:58I mean, I imagine they're analysts of the game and
- 2:00they watch tape in there, you know.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Not just slubs who live in Idaho.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Right. That's why I have to assume when they when
- 2:07ESPN or NFL network comes out with their lists and
- 2:10things like that. So you know, the truth, Mike, as
- 2:13they always say, lies somewhere in between.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I mean this is executive scouts, coaches who right now
- 2:19are saying, look, would I like to have Jalen Hurts? Yes,
- 2:21but if I had the opportunity to draft some of
- 2:23these other guys or pick some of these other guys,
- 2:25it's no knock on him. But there's ten pretty good
- 2:28quarterbacks in this league. And then I think there's probably
- 2:30a dip there. So, you know, you take a look
- 2:33at people's opinions, they vary from you know what style.
- 2:37I think Hurts fits very well in this offense. Does
- 2:40Justin Herbert fit as well in the Eagles offense?
- 2:44Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know what quarterback who's good wouldn't
- 2:47fit in the Eagles offense.
- 2:48Speaker 3: To be honest with you, I just didn't.
- 2:52Speaker 4: It's not like it's a system, a real uh what
- 2:57a real defined system, you know, Like there are certain systems,
- 3:00like we talk about Kyle Shanahan's offense. It might fit
- 3:03one quarterback over the other, or one quarterback has a
- 3:06certain type of skills set over another. But I think
- 3:08the Eagles have done a good job right adapting to whoever.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Their personality, who the quarterback is.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Because when Tanner McKee went in there, He's sure looked
- 3:16pretty good, even though he doesn't have anything.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Near the skill set or traits of Jalen Hurts.
- 3:22Speaker 4: So there are some there are some teams that just
- 3:25do a good enough job assembling a coaching staff in
- 3:27an offense that they don't need you to fit a
- 3:30certain archetype.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Let's get a couple questions on this. Phil has this one.
- 3:34He says Hurts actively sought Michael Jordan out this offseason
- 3:37for advice on how to keep a championship mindset. He's
- 3:41seeking out advice from the goat. What does that tell you, Jeff?
- 3:45Is he building a hall of fame resume? Talk about
- 3:48a hall of fame resume? Now for Jalen Hurt. Who
- 3:50would have thought that? Would they drafted? And that's from
- 3:51Phil in Brigantine.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I don't know that that says anything
- 3:56about what kind of resume he's building or what kind
- 3:59of player he's going to.
- 4:00Speaker 3: I mean, first of all, there's a connection there.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Because he's a Jordan, Jialen Hurts, I believe, as a
- 4:07spokesperson for the Jordan brand, like for their football division.
- 4:10So you would think at some point he was going
- 4:13to meet Michael Jordan and have some kind of conversations
- 4:16with him. But Nick Sirianni, for example, has done something similar.
- 4:20Speaker 3: He has talked about.
- 4:21Speaker 4: How he has talked to a lot of coaches who
- 4:24have won multiple championships to sort of pick their brain
- 4:28on what it is they did after winning the first one,
- 4:32to make sure that they were continuously successful and able
- 4:35to win more. I think Popovich was among the lists
- 4:39of people he spoke too. I know he named a
- 4:41couple of coaches, some college coaches as well, and then
- 4:44just some like Dawn Staley I think he said he spoke.
- 4:46Speaker 3: To as well.
- 4:47Speaker 4: So I think that that just shows that Hurts and
- 4:50Sirianni are the type of coach and player who are
- 4:54not just satisfied with winning at all and are very
- 4:58hungry and are very competitive to keep winning and keep
- 5:01proving it.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Which is great, that's what you want.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Yeah, good stuff.
- 5:04Speaker 3: You know.
- 5:04Speaker 1: You take a look at from Phil you know, yes,
- 5:06he is out apparently in Greece right now. I think
- 5:08with Michael Jordan, Jalen Hurts is and you know, yeah,
- 5:12you're picking Michael Jordan's brain on what do I do
- 5:14to win a second Super Bowl?
- 5:15Speaker 2: Can't hurt. There is he building a Hall of fame resume?
- 5:19I don't know what was the hall of fame. I
- 5:20mean he's like a Troy Aikman.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Are you making fun of me because we had this
- 5:26conversation last time?
- 5:27Speaker 2: No? No, but you're right. I mean no, I'm not
- 5:29making fun of you, but you're right.
- 5:30Speaker 1: He's like a Troy Aikman where I guess, yeah, last
- 5:34week we were talking about this where the numbers don't
- 5:36say Hall of Famer, but the accolades.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Do, right, and not even just the numbers, just like, yeah,
- 5:43I used Terry Bradshaw, I use Troy Aikman and a
- 5:47little bit of a Joe Flacco comparison in that just
- 5:50won a lot of games. One championships with Joe it
- 5:54was only one, but I mean he was in the
- 5:55playoffs every year for the first six or seven years
- 5:58of his career. But even I like you would just say,
- 6:01if we sat down and said name the five best
- 6:05quarterbacks from nineteen ninety to nineteen ninety five, you're probably
- 6:10going Montana Young and some other guys before you get
- 6:12to Akman Marino. Same thing and same thing of Bradshaw's er,
- 6:17although that's I'm not as familiar with the seventies.
- 6:19Speaker 3: But I you know, I would hear from people.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Who cover the game or watch the game before me
- 6:24that there were some guys when you named your top
- 6:27three or four best quarterbacks, Bradshaws wouldn't be among them.
- 6:31Maybe not like Johnny Unitas or something, right, but still
- 6:34he's four super Bowls in and well, how about it?
- 6:37Speaker 2: And we talk about perception.
- 6:39Speaker 1: You know, we probably talked about this Wednesday, but the
- 6:41perception of what hurts was when he's the league, and
- 6:43how hard it is for you to change your mindset
- 6:46of what your perception was to what now you have
- 6:49to adjust it to actually be.
- 6:51Speaker 2: That's hard for people.
- 6:53Speaker 4: It is, it is, And this is why I really
- 6:56don't like rankings all together with because they change every year.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I remember a couple of years ago, Matt Stafford in
- 7:03these polls that we were talking about.
- 7:04Speaker 4: That that are coming out now, was not anybody's top
- 7:07ten because it was a year after he had won
- 7:09the Super Bowl.
- 7:10Speaker 3: He was hurt they went six and tactic there they
- 7:13missed the playoffs.
- 7:14Speaker 4: He was, you know, not a hurt and b the
- 7:17team wasn't that good, and all of a sudden, he's stunk.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Nobody like Matt Stafford anymore.
- 7:21Speaker 4: And now you know, two or three years later, he's
- 7:23been back to the playoffs two the last three years,
- 7:25went to the NAC Divisional game, gave it the Eagles
- 7:27the best, and now he's back and everybody's good graces again.
- 7:30Speaker 3: So that's why I only take these things with a
- 7:32great salt. Anyway.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Plus, Lane Johnson is I think a couple of years
- 7:35ago wasn't even in the top one hundred, which is
- 7:37he's ridiculous.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, And what we say these are all but
- 7:40these come from this list, comes from scouts, executives, coaching.
- 7:45That's why I think people put a little bit more
- 7:47into this one potentially.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Are I agree? I agree that I think that's fair.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Although I did see that someone someone tweeted that in
- 7:55that list, like someone put Lamar Jackson sixth, and it's
- 7:58like there are five better quarterbacks and Lamar Jackson, really,
- 8:03I don't know.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Lamar Jackson was number four on that He was number.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Four overall, but one person one executive.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Right, His lowest ranking was six, His highest ranking was
- 8:14number one overall. The one I think that has people
- 8:16rankled is Jaden Daniels being the number five guy. Then
- 8:20it was Matthew Stafford, then Justin Herbert and then Jared Goff,
- 8:25then Jalen Hurts.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Yeah, and I you know, listen, that's that surprises me.
- 8:30You know, I think if I were doing the list,
- 8:32I would have Hurts higher in that at least two
- 8:34wrong to higher. But again, what does it say when
- 8:37this many people don't like it? It's all it's all
- 8:41subjective anyway. It just means that a lot of people
- 8:43who you know should have an enlightened opinion and a
- 8:47good objective.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Well do you think, Jeff, do you think, Jeff, this
- 8:51is a like, hey, if he was our quarterback, maybe
- 8:54we wouldn't be as good. Maybe, like that's the right
- 8:56offense for him.
- 8:59Speaker 4: I think it's more that that's the right fifty three
- 9:02man roster for him, or that he is a beneficiary
- 9:05of some great talent.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Which is not untrue. But like you know, it just
- 9:10depends on how far you want to go.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Jimmy Kempski fill The Voice wrote a really good article
- 9:13about it today, so did Andrew Checho, where they both
- 9:16had quotes from Siriani basically saying it's bs that people
- 9:20constantly say that he benefits from a good roster, and
- 9:22then he nicknamed all these quarterbacks like Montana, like Young,
- 9:26like Peyton Manning right, who had really good players around
- 9:28him too, which is sort of a strong man argument
- 9:31a little bit, but I understand what the point was. So,
- 9:36but I do think that is the I think when
- 9:38people start saying, oh, man, I think, you know, like
- 9:41someone like Gino Smith, who I like, good quarterback, but
- 9:44you know he hasn't accomplished anything in his career, or
- 9:47Trevor Lawrence. If you put Trevor Lawrence with the Eagles,
- 9:50he's winning a Super Bowl. That's why I think he
- 9:52gets taken way too far. I mean, and I feel
- 9:56that way about Justin Herbert too. I'm I'm a fan
- 9:58of Justin Herbert's game, but I'm probably less high on
- 10:01him than some others. I just every time I watch him,
- 10:05I feel like there's something missing. And while I'll admit
- 10:08when I watched Jalen Hurts, I'll be the first to
- 10:09say there are things missing in his game as a passer,
- 10:12throwing over the middle, some of the way he takes sacks,
- 10:15but at least he's proven he can win a Super
- 10:18Bowl and be an excellent player in the playoffs even
- 10:21without it. I haven't seen Justin Herbert overcome his own
- 10:24flaws yet, so I wouldn't put Justin Herbert over Jalen Hurts.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Now, that doesn't mean six years from now.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I think that Justin Herbert is more reputation where he
- 10:35was drafted. Arm talent, like the fact that he's got
- 10:38this great arm his size where he was drafted and
- 10:41you have this, and you know he came in as
- 10:42a rookie. He put up gaudy numbers right off the bat,
- 10:45and then the team is just not one with him.
- 10:48Speaker 2: That has been the problem.
- 10:50Speaker 4: That's correct, And it's not like last year's team was
- 10:52a bad team that had a really good defense, good
- 10:55offensive line.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Running in was okay.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Listen, he needs more weapons, but they got im Lad mccackey. Like,
- 11:01if Justin Herbert doesn't win playoff games this year, I
- 11:04think people have to drop the love affair with him,
- 11:06assuming that the team stays relatively healthy, because they're pretty good.
- 11:09Speaker 1: All right, let's get some more Bostion your mailbag Monday questions.
- 11:13Let's go to Steven Galloway. How different will Kevin Batoula's
- 11:17offense look from what we saw under Kellen Moore, Steve
- 11:20wants to know.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a good question, Steve, and you know you
- 11:23should read Andrew to Checko's article on Inside the Birds
- 11:25dot Com today about that in general. And the honest
- 11:28answer is, nobody really knows yet what it's going to
- 11:31look like. But we do know that when they speak
- 11:33about a new iteration of the offense.
- 11:35Speaker 3: And opening up the offense, they're not talking about like
- 11:38new and dynamic ways to run the ball.
- 11:41Speaker 4: They're talking about ways of getting the pass offense up
- 11:43to speed, freshening the concepts, and so I think when
- 11:48you're looking at that without being like so exy and oy,
- 11:51I definitely think that there's room for this team to
- 11:53be better in the screen game. I think that there's
- 11:56room for this team to be better in the short
- 11:58to intermediate game if Jillen Hurts does a better job
- 12:01of sort of identifying it quickly and seeing it and
- 12:04releasing it. I mean, they're obviously very good downfield, they're
- 12:07very good in the RPO game, and I do think
- 12:09the addition of Avery Williams Mike, if that works out
- 12:12the way they wanted to. He was obviously out of
- 12:14all the OTA's with an injury, but maybe a little
- 12:17bit more of a gadgetry where you're not gimmicky, but
- 12:20you're doing things like the forty nine ers do, where
- 12:24you have a multifaceted weapon that you try to get
- 12:26the ball in the hands of All.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Right, let's go Bosher Mailbag Monday. Question from Jeff and
- 12:32Washington Township. What's the early plan for Saquon Barkley's usage.
- 12:36Do you think they'll use more of the other running
- 12:38backs this season?
- 12:41Speaker 4: Well, like Mike Tyson once said Jeff in Washington Township,
- 12:44everybody's got a plan until they get punched in the mouth, right,
- 12:46So I think the Eagles plan is, Hey, let's try
- 12:50to like get Will Shipley and maybe aj Dillon more involved.
- 12:54Let's try to take the mileage off of Saquon Barkley.
- 12:56Let's try to open up the passing offense. But if
- 12:59they start off two and two again, and if things
- 13:02don't look good offensively, guess what old reliable is, give
- 13:06the ball to Saquon Barkley. So while I'm sure the
- 13:08early plan is to try not to have him on
- 13:11the trajectory for another four hundred touches this year. Those
- 13:16best way plans can go to waste if things aren't
- 13:18working better around him.
- 13:20Speaker 1: All right, let's go to This one is from Steve
- 13:25in different Steve. This is Stephen Ventner here. Let me
- 13:28get this one up for you here. He wants to
- 13:31know should the Eagles try to acquire a tight end two,
- 13:33wide receiver three or at a veteran to the secondary
- 13:36like a Sante Samuel or Justin Simmons.
- 13:40Speaker 4: I mean, I can't imagine that they should acquire a
- 13:43tight end too. They've been doing that basically all off
- 13:45season between Kylan Grantson and Harrison Bryant.
- 13:49Speaker 3: They have VJ.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Jenkins, have Greg Calcaterra, and there's four guys. Oh, they've
- 13:53at the end of last year they brought in Nick
- 13:55Muse and Cameron Lot too.
- 13:57Speaker 3: I think they've got about eleven tight ends.
- 13:59Speaker 4: It seems all battling to see who's gonna be two
- 14:02and three, And same thing with wide receiver three.
- 14:03Speaker 3: I mean they brought in Terres Marshall.
- 14:05Speaker 4: They have a Naias Smith and Johnny Wilson and Danny
- 14:07Gray all battling it out.
- 14:09Speaker 3: So for a team that plays a lot of two
- 14:12tight ended offense. I don't think they meet oh and
- 14:14John Dotson, of course.
- 14:15Speaker 4: I don't think they need too many more options to
- 14:17audition at wide receiver.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Three.
- 14:19Speaker 4: So if you're gonna pick one of those spots, you
- 14:22would pick the secondary and probably safety. But you're gonna
- 14:26let some competition here play out first and see how
- 14:28it goes before you do that.
- 14:29Speaker 1: You like, it'sante Samuel. I mean, he's obviously a bigger name,
- 14:32not Justin Simmons. Is a being I'm talking about for
- 14:34a corner. Samuel was a high draft choice. His dad
- 14:37played here. The Eagle fans always love, you know, the
- 14:39connections there.
- 14:41Speaker 4: I mean he was great in two thousand and ten
- 14:43and nine, he got a little bit old. Oh yes,
- 14:46I'm sorry, wrong, you mean, I'm trying to be witty
- 14:49like Mike McCarry.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Is that working? That guy is all full of great
- 14:52puns and wit. I'm just trying to be like him.
- 14:55But so if it's working, let me know. If it's not,
- 14:58I'll just stop.
- 15:00Speaker 1: No.
- 15:00Speaker 3: I think I think that he was dealing with an
- 15:01injury st.
- 15:03Speaker 4: He's been bad, yes, yeah, yeah, but I mean that's
- 15:06why you brought in adri Jackson.
- 15:07Speaker 3: You're you really want Killey Ringo to win the job.
- 15:10But if you don't have a veteran like a dory.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Now, if neither of them are looking good and Mac
- 15:15McWilliams doesn't, you know, really you're not loving it. And
- 15:18and Sante Samuel is healthy, he would be like one
- 15:21of those good one year proven type signings as long
- 15:23as healthy.
- 15:24Speaker 1: All right, let's get to this question from Ken and
- 15:27May's Landing a Motion mail Bag Monday. Question, Jeff, do
- 15:29you view Cam Jurgens as one of the leaders on
- 15:33the team. I wonder if that has anything to do
- 15:34with the guy he replaced.
- 15:37Speaker 4: I you know, he's really only about to enter his
- 15:40second year as a starting center, in third year as
- 15:43a starting offensive lineman. I think the offensive lineman that
- 15:47has become a leader that's not named Lane Johnson and
- 15:51obviously no longer Jason Kelsey's Jordan Malatta.
- 15:54Speaker 3: I think he's stepping into a leadership.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Well.
- 15:56Speaker 3: I see it the way he speaks for the team,
- 15:59the way he's.
- 15:59Speaker 4: More confident in putting his opinion on things out there.
- 16:04When the team wasn't doing him so well last year,
- 16:07he talked about it, and when the team was pulling
- 16:09together in the middle of the year, he was front
- 16:11and center. I see my lotta right now, taking that
- 16:15on a little bit more than Cam Jurgen's.
- 16:17Speaker 1: All right, Mosher Monday Mailbag. How does the right guard
- 16:20battle shake out? Is Tyler Steen the heavy favorite or
- 16:23will someone push him for that job like what happened
- 16:25last year?
- 16:26Speaker 4: All right, I'm gonna say this so and no, no, no,
- 16:28I'm not the only one who feels this way.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Yes, Tyler Steen is the leader in the clubhouse, He's
- 16:32the favorite. I think he'd have to either get hurt.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Or the guy they acquired from Houston, Kenyan Green, would
- 16:39have to be like an overnight unbelievable success to make
- 16:43this to be able to beat out Steen. However, I
- 16:47don't think we should count out Matt Pryor here. Matt
- 16:50Pryor didn't have a great first time around with the Eagles,
- 16:53but after he left the Eagles, he wound up starting
- 16:55a decent number of games.
- 16:57Speaker 3: He played for the Colts, he played left tackle for
- 17:00a team. He played for the Bears. Now, he didn't
- 17:01play well left tackle. That's not where you want him.
- 17:04Speaker 2: But my point is.
- 17:04Speaker 4: He stuck around, played for three different teams, got a
- 17:08lot of starts. So he clearly established himself as good
- 17:10enough to be a starting guard on a bad team
- 17:14and a good backup on a good team. But right now,
- 17:16with Tyler Steen still competing, if Matt Pryor could come
- 17:19back right and improve under Jeff Stalton more and do
- 17:24something differently than the first time around, then would it
- 17:27completely totally stunned me if he was the right guard.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it still would.
- 17:32Speaker 4: But I guess that would mean that Steen and Green
- 17:35didn't really seize it, but that Matt Pryor is on
- 17:37that at least stout fields Stealton feels comfortable with playing.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yeah, you know there are I like in this group
- 17:44to the twenty seventeen team where Sayamalis started, then they
- 17:49went to Warmack and then they went to Wisnooski. So
- 17:53it was almost like they can do that here. Where
- 17:57Steen starts, you go to Kenyon Green, give him a
- 18:00little flash of an opportunity and if he can't do it,
- 18:02then you know you have Matt Pryor in your back pocket.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Yeah, and I know some of the tackles that they're drafted,
- 18:08they may try to cross train and Sami. They also
- 18:10have Trevor Keegan who was drafted last year as a guard,
- 18:14so they've got some guys who can take that opportunity.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Matt Petersburg mosts your mailbag Monday. Does Jalen Hurts play
- 18:21a snap in the preseason?
- 18:22Speaker 2: Yes? Or no?
- 18:23Speaker 3: No? Next question, do.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Any Eagles starters? Like are we past that now?
- 18:28Speaker 1: Where you get all these guys like they gotta play
- 18:30a series or two? They didn't play any series last
- 18:33year and they won the Super Bowl. I think those
- 18:35days are over.
- 18:36Speaker 4: I would think so maybe Jeremiah Trotter junior, you know,
- 18:40like somebody who's got to be a starter, but it's
- 18:43his first year starting. But other than that, probably maybe
- 18:46Andrew mccouba, who knows, but maybe even not.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 18:49Speaker 1: All right, This one's from Paul in Peeville, Pleasantville. Kind
- 18:54of a fun question here. Which NFC team has a
- 18:56head start on being awful for Archie?
- 19:00Speaker 2: Who?
- 19:02Speaker 3: Which NFC team could be awful.
- 19:04Speaker 2: For this question? By the way, By the way, Archie
- 19:06Manning arch Manning.
- 19:09Speaker 1: The other question came in last year we did an
- 19:11NFC mailbag, so this was one of the leftover ones
- 19:13that we never got to. But I told him we
- 19:15would get to it. This week, So Paul un pleasant,
- 19:17I promise you this week. So we were looking at
- 19:20NFC teams only as a headstart on being awful for Arch.
- 19:24Speaker 3: I was gonna ask, why do we have to limit
- 19:27this NFC.
- 19:28Speaker 2: So you could open it up to the AFC. I
- 19:29think he was just playing by the rules.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Okay, I would go with.
- 19:37Speaker 4: See, I like this team, but they definitely if they
- 19:40don't do well this year and things sort of spiral,
- 19:44you could see them really trying to tank or and
- 19:47that's the Cardinals because if they can't win behind our
- 19:51Kyler Murray this year with the additions that they've made
- 19:54and over the last few years, then they would be
- 19:57the ones that want Arch manning. You know, I can't
- 20:02imagine the Bears, even if the Bears stink again.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Are gonna move off of Caleb Williams after two years?
- 20:07Speaker 4: Maybe the Cowboys if Dak no, they can't, did you
- 20:11well they could because you know, I know Dak has
- 20:14owed a lot of money, but you know, a quarterback,
- 20:16even in the first round, you can, you can handle it.
- 20:19Speaker 1: But really, well, it's got to mean in the NFC,
- 20:22he's got to be two teams, right, It's the Saints
- 20:24I have no quarterback right now?
- 20:26Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, But you know what, I just don't think
- 20:29the Saints fifty three is all that bad. They've drafted
- 20:32on the offensive and defensive line. I mean, I suppose
- 20:35it could happen they're gonna start Tyler Schoff, right, so yeah,
- 20:39I could see that happening. But they don't play in
- 20:41a really really vicious division either, So I feel like,
- 20:44accidentally the Saints are gonna win five games.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Oh man, I don't know.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I think the Saints their quarterback situation is pretty terrible
- 20:52right now. Then the Giants, Yeah, that's a good one.
- 21:00Could really use a quarterback, right, I mean, yeah, that's.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Actually a really good one. I'm surprised I didn't think
- 21:05about that.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, there's a Buscher Mailbag Monday edition. Next Monday,
- 21:11we will have another mail Bag edition, and then the
- 21:13Eagles will report on Tuesday, and we'll be talking training
- 21:16camp next week right here on Football at Fort You excited.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Oh, I'm always excited, all right.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Man, see it?
- 21:24Speaker 1: Take that McGarry, see it, Jeff Boucher, everybody from the
